Terfism is targeted at radicalising older-middle-aged women in order to sever the otherwise naturally-forming bond that makes trans women and older-middle-aged cis women the strongest of comrades via our shared interests and experiences.

Hey! You de-gendered a transwoman! Her pronouns are she/her not they/them. Then you said she clearly just doesn't know her words, stupid woman.
Well I have a degree in words! In literature! I know words! And she's right! She knows her pronouns are she/her, she's had to fight for that. But you are ignoring her identity and using the wrong pronouns and then calling her stupid instead of just apologising. Congrats on the transmisogyny!
Plus you just had to jump in on a trans woman's personal post about what she finds attractive, and use it to call her problematic. Golly doesn't that sound familiar? Like what does that post have to do with your opinion? Also did calling a trans woman a radfem not strike you as a bad faith take from the get go?
I really think you need to take a step back and look at the actions you have taken and how they very much fit in to the larger trends of harassment of trans women. Please just take a while to think about it. It does not matter if you think you are an ally, you don't get to decide that, trans people do! It's your actions that define your allyship. Right now, you're not an ally, you're acting as part of the problem! Educate yourself!
you know, I'd believe that you have a degree in words more if you had any actual level of reading comprension.
You know what, I'm going to tackle this.
When non-binary identities started being presented more openly, a few years ago, the discourse was about what specific pronouns they would use. And the important element that came up, was a core element of it, was that gender neutral pronouns, like They/them, existed.
That They/Them are, in fact, non-specific terms and thus are perfect also for the use by GNC and NB people.
Now, you have a degree in literature so you should know this, but words don't LOSE their meanings when new meanings are added to them. Thus, one using the non-specific pronoun form of They/Them does not mean you are using the gender specific form of they/them.
AND THEN!
AND FUCKING THEN!
You did the dumbfuck thing she did, which is read 'wow, this reminds me of these radfems' and assuming a SIMILARITY means an ANALOGY or a METAPHOR.
I can say the SKY is blue and that a BIRD is blue, without somehow claiming the SKY is a BIRD.
This kind of language policing and tone policing may work inside your community but honest to god you need to learn words just as much as she does.

(Also posted to @yourbigendergremlet my bigender community blog)
Ive been meaning to make this post for a while so what better day to do it than on trans visibility day/easter?
I am bigenderfluid, but i can also somewhat consider myself christian.
These two factors weigh heavily in my life.
I am in an extremely orthodox christian, extremely lgbtphobic household and it is tough. Being christian was always tough for me. My mum tried to raise me as a perfect christian but it never worked and only recently did i figure out why. She never actually taught me what anything is for, just that i have to do it. I have to follow these rules, why? Because the Bible said it. And there are so many things in the Bible that contradict eachother and ive never gotten a straight answer, not even from priests at church.
I discovered i was bigender in late 2023, but many years before then i was an ally. This is tough.
Trans and lgbt+ people are always weary of religious people, always making arguments against and fighting back religion, while religion is hateful and they fight against lgbt+ people. At home i cant come out because it isn't safe, at school and with my friends and trans spaces i cant say im christian because of the shame i feel because of the correlations between religion and hating lgbt+ people.
Its tough.
My bigenderness is currently a massive thing that has me struggling with my faith. Ive been hating being a christian for years now but only recently have i discovered that i do believe, and i want God to love me but being bigender, and being christian gets in the way of that.
I can't trust the christian faith specifically anymore and i feel reluctance with religion because being trans means i will go to hell. I feel i can't go to church because i am trans. I dont know if God will love me or condemn me to hell.
Being trans is a big factor to why im struggling so much with being christian right now, even though i desperately want to be, and it sucks. I can't be bigender because i am christian, and it sucks.
My end message? You can be both. Being trans and being christian can exist at the same time. God loves everyone and God made us the way we are so it should not get in the way of that. It can be tough, really tough to accept that (i am battling with that) and it can seem like a tug of war from both sides when you just want to be in both sides at the same time. We have to accept that the lgbt+ community isn't all that accepting and that christians aren't all that loving and that realisation will tear you apart but as long as you can live how you feel you should live, and find your own faith and/or connection with God or whatever else you may or may not believe, inside or outside of religion, then i hope you can find peace with yourself,
Especially because i need to find that too...

mama from aitsf is nonbinary and does drag, not a trans woman. she's not meant to represent trans women, she's just queer and said "fuck gender i'll do what i want". you personally may not relate to her but i'm sure if you went to enough irl queer spaces you'd see someone like her. it's not transmisogynistic just because she doesn't conform to your ideas of what nb people are "supposed to look/act like". log off go outside
congrats on doing the exact thing I was complaining about
mama is a stereotype of a trans woman based on the conception that our genders are a performance, that we have "weird" genders, that we're sex perverts, etc. she's voiced by a cis man, calls her appearance a costume, constantly flirts with male characters despite it making them uncomfortable, and in aini she's taken on the orientalist fortune teller stereotype in which she makes jokes about rubbing her (crystal) "balls". her "sex" is listed as "gender neutral". you're seriously gonna sit here and tell me she was made from an actual place of understanding about people like me?
I swear to god aitsf fans shut their brains off the minute they found out that there's a bury your gays-style gay couple in the game and just started assuming kotaro uchikoshi can do no wrong. like wow cool, he's publicly supported trans people on twitter. that doesn't mean he's now a perfect trans ally who's perfectly able to write people like us in his games. the man won't even write canonically sapphic characters because he can't conceive of a woman who's not sexually available solely to men. and I'm supposed to trust him to write transfem nonbinary characters? get the fuck outta here

idk about anyone else, but i really do want to get to the point in representation and fiction where we can actually have a trans villain.
and they’d be allowed to be the villain; they wouldn’t seen as problematic / bad rep by the community and allies, and not used as an example of how trans people are evil and horrible by transphobes (and of course not written in either of those ways either)
they do a catastrophic time travel spell to rewrite their own history, they summon an eldritch god and sacrifice people to it so that it will give them their perfect body - do you get what i mean?? a trans character that would be complex and tragic and layered but, ultimately, the villain.
idk man, i feel like i’m gonna write this one day. trans people obviously are not evil, but wanting to be pretty or stay young or change previous is often a villain’s motivations - why not use that specific and painful trans angst??

My pjo/hoo/toa queer headcanons! I just realised that this has been in my drafts for a full year lol
Piper: lesbian
Jason : gay
(Because wlw/mlm solidarity)
Percy: unlabelled, he's just going with the flow
Nico: gay, duh
Bianca Di Angelo: questioning/bicurious
Leo Valdez: pansexual, he/they. I will die on this hill
Zoë: transfemme (they/she), aromantic.
Reyna: aroace
Hazel: a very supportive straight ally who is unlearning the prejudices she grew up with
Frank Zhang: asexual
Thalia: is into girls, likes the label queer, any pronouns.
Annabeth Chase: Biromantic and demisexual
Rachel: BISEXUAL (she/they)
Drew: very lesbian. so repressed.
Clarisse: does not care. She has better things to do than think about her sexuality. But she is definitely into pretty much everyone
Charlie Beckendorf: the most relaxed bisexual on the planet
Silena: she is a lesbian with comphet. Fight me. She just thinks that everyone finds women incredibly attractive and it's a very normal straight girl experience
Katie Gardiner: actually straight but everybody assumes she's bisexual because she just gives those vibes
Lou Ellen: nonbinary, uses they/them pronouns.
Octavian: gay and extremely repressed
Luke Castellan: trans guy (he/him), heterosexual
Lavinia Asimov: beautiful perfect canonical lesbian. Uses she/he pronouns
Grover: bisexual
And before anyone comes at me saying how unrealistic it is that they're nearly all queer, allow me to remind you that these are the children of the Greek gods lmao

Oohhh mama I've got the Adam Murray fankid (Cain) on the brain again. Have some thoughts (he's still a massive WIP that is trying to go along with whatever the canon decks at my face next, but here's the recents):
Okay, so, he IS now Evelin's kid too. Idk, it's symbolic and shit, and makes the most sense. They are the only couple in the series among the main characters, I believe, so...
This one's my fave. Making his parents pretty heavy duty Christians. But not like Carrie Christians, and more "We asked God to give us the perfect child and then we adopted you... What do you mean you want to be a boy, that isn't God's way??" Yeah, that. So, obviously having his Biblical knowledge, hating his parents, and not knowing what name to go by, he slaps on Cain for the time being. It's just to piss off his parents by naming himself after a murderer from the bible, because hey he's not getting it permanently, legally changed or anything. Though, he does turn out to really, really like it, unfortunately for his folks. (Also the fact that Cain killed Abel, his brother, and his deadname, Annabelle, has Abel basically in the middle... 👀 layersssss-)
He's basically the type of guy who would literally cry over spilled milk but then go through the most traumatising event known to man and just go "well, that sure was... a day."
I've also given him friends!! (Even though, with the way tmc seems to be going, the alternates might as well kill off all humanity by 2023, when this takes place, BUT–) I haven't thought of names. I considered biblical ones, but I'm not sure about finding ones that really fit deeper than just being from the good ol' bibble. One of them is your typical basic blonde white girl (who, admittedly, kind of starts off as one of those annoying allies. "I want a gay best friend!!" type of thing), the other one's a chubby video game nerd. They're an odd bunch, who somehow bonded over a shared chemistry project :)
This may change with the tmc plot or other stuff, but rn I've decided what makes the most sense is that Cain isn't technically an alternate and is actually just some guy. However, he is immune to alternates, as they can sense SOMETHING off about his vibes.
Mention of (entirely SFW) mpreg under the cut (I mean, any thing I do for any fandom ever is nearly guaranteed to include it, and I apologise for that but it will happen again lol). Don't tap if it ain't your thing.
(I may or may not have started a oneshot based on the latter half of this idea lol...)
So, he was originally starting to develop before Catalyst came out, and I got the whole "he was found in a rubbish bin off the street" thing from a Jacqueline Wilson book I never even read (sue me, okay 💀). But, no, recently I had a better idea: lil Cain was born DURING Catalyst. Essentially, Adam had no idea he was pregnant, his alt transformation triggered labour, he was already in so much pain from said transformation the labour also went completely missed, baby comes out, Adam has no idea what to think or feel. And, this all kinda depends on what Alex is gonna do next, but main idea for now is Adam gives bby to Thatcher and tells him to make sure he's (well, he'd say she because Cain was literally a newborn, but I'll say he because I feel that's right? Idk trans people can confirm or otherwise on that lol) cared for. Thatcher takes him to the hospital where he can be looked over and given to a new family (,:

uh um trying to think of fanfic prompts on the fly
trans!will and enby!mike go shopping? will's looking for a binder and mike wants to buy a skirt? fluff no angst ehe
(sorry i'm not good at this lol. hope it helps <3)
I DID IT! I FINALLY WROTE THIS! Yup, procrastination is a bitch, but I actually really enjoyed this, so maybe I'll be a little quicker at clearing out my inbox next time. I still have one more fic to write after this, but remember, you can always send in prompts if you want! I'm open to anything, as long as it's a one-shot and not smut. Anyway, here's your fic, featuring eyeliner!Mike and trans ally!Robin.
“So? What do you think?” Mike said as they walked out of the changing room, taking the deepest breath they could through their beaming smile. They were wearing a black and blue plaid skirt that meticulously matched their eyeliner, and that spun around their knees perfectly as they did a quick twirl of joy. Mike’s boyfriend, Will, smiled back at them, arms crossed over his chest to hide the fact that his shopping trip hadn’t been fully successful yet.
“It looks great!” Will said, walking over towards them so he could take a closer look at the fabric. “You think this is the one?”
“Oh, yeah, definitely,” Mike said, nervously running their hands through their long black hair. “You… did you find it?” Will sighed and un-crossed his arms, revealing his chest with a groan of disapproval. How dare you still be attached to my body after all these years?
“No,” he mumbled, just loud enough for Mike to hear. “I swear to god, you’d think the largest department store in Hawkins would have at least one binder, but no!” Mike took a deep breath, mulling over the situation in their head. They’d always felt protective of Will, even before he transitioned, and now that both of them knew what dealing with dysphoria was like, it only added an extra layer to their bond. No. There has to be another option here. We’ve gotta do something.
“Hey, I have an idea!” Mike said after a few moments. “I talked to this really nice lady at the desk, and she was great at helping me find a skirt I liked. Why don’t I ask her? She might have something for you!”
“...Sure,” Will said cautiously, striking the balance between not getting his hopes up and, well, trying to get his hopes up.
“Let’s go!” Mike took his hand and the two of them walked towards the front of the store, their new skirt practically floating behind them as they walked. Will seemed happy for them, but still uncomfortable, nervously looking at the people around them to gauge if the two of them were getting any sideways glances.
“Hey, you’re doing fine,” Mike said, picking up on how nervous their boyfriend was and giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. “No one’s looking at you, I promise. Besides, see? There’s the desk, right over there.” Will looked up, seeming a little more cheerful now, and the two of them waved to the woman behind the desk. She looked around eighteen or nineteen, and had short, choppy golden hair covered by a pair of headphones.
“Hey, um…” Will said with an awkward wave, glancing down at the woman’s name tag. “Robin, I was wondering if, um…”
“We were wondering if we could buy a binder,” Mike said, helping Will out. “For my boyfriend here.” Robin took off her headphones, and, to Will’s surprise, gave the two of them a surprisingly comforting smile.
“Oh, of course,” she said, beginning to rummage around beneath the top of the desk. “We don’t usually have binders in stock here, but I have a cousin who’s non-binary, so I know how important stuff like this can feel. That’s why I always bring my own stash to work, just in case someone walks in here wanting one.” And with that, Robin held up a red binder with a d20 printed in the center- one that looked like it was just Will’s size. “Does this work? I know the design’s a little corny, but-”
“Yes!” Will exclaimed, beaming at Mike. “It’s perfect!”
“Well, then,” Robin said, handing it off to him, “you can take this into the nearest changing room and give it a spin. If it works, that’ll be… twenty dollars. I should probably be charging more, but everything here is overpriced anyway, plus you seem pretty cool. So I’ll cut you a little slack. How does that sound?” Will nodded and rushed off, not caring one bit about the crowds this time. Mike sat down in a nearby chair, drumming their fingers on the armrest as they waited.
“So…” Robin said, smiling slyly. “Are you two… you know…”
“Dating?” Mike said, trying to hide the fact that they were blushing like an idiot. “Yeah. We have been for a while now, actually.”
“That’s great!” Robin responded, fiddling with her cassette tape as she talked. “I’m happy for you. I know being… one of us can be scary sometimes, but you two really seem brave. Like you’re not afraid of what people might say about us. You know?”
“Us? What do you…” Mike looked back at Robin, and suddenly saw something he hadn’t before- a pride pin, placed on the pocket of her uniform below her name tag. It was just obvious enough so you’d notice it if you looked, but just inconspicuous enough so that none of the wrong people would be paying attention. “...Oh.”
“Yeah,” Robin responded, a surprisingly gentle smile blossoming on her face. “That’s what I mean.”
“MIKE!” Mike’s head snapped over in the direction of his boyfriend, who was running over to them and practically gasping for breath.
“Hey, be careful, dude,” Robin said, more nervous than she looked. “You don’t want to run in those things. You might-”
“But look! Look at this!” Will finally came to a stop in front of them and held his arms out, proudly revealing his finally flat chest. “It fits perfectly!” Robin took a deep breath, relaxed, and laughed.
“You know what? It really does.”
“So? What do you think?” This time, the question was clearly meant for Mike. They glanced up, beaming almost as much as Will was.
“I think it looks perfect, Will. You look… euphoric. You just seem so happy. I-I can’t describe it.”
“Well, I mean… I’m with you, Mike. Of course I am.” Will walked over to Mike, taking their hand and smiling as he gave them a quick kiss on the cheek. “Now, do you want to go back to your house and play some Dungeons and Dragons? We still have to finish that campaign we started a while ago.”
“You know what? Yeah. Yeah, I think we will,” Mike said as they stood up, so close to their boyfriend they were almost leaning on him. “Thanks, Robin. We really appreciated this.”
“Of course. And if he ever grows out of it, come back any time. I have, like, twenty more in stock, okay?”
“Okay.” Mike took a deep breath, feeling more comfortable than ever, and walked out of the store with Will, hand in hand.
It was the happiest either of them had ever been.

Rant [No, I won't make this a habit I promise I just needed to get this off my chest]
People who don't know that intersectionality exists shouldn't be allowed into any community. Being near told that the experience of violence I've had doesn't matter cause of my skin tone is some of the most disgusting, vile shit I've seen in my life. And it came from a POC, someone who should OUTRIGHT KNOW why that's bad.
People get murdered by bigots for simply existing, and we have members in the Queer community who truthfully want to argue that THOSE people getting killed isn't that big of a deal cause of the color of their skin and the oppression they faced doesn't matter. I know ABSOLUTELY NO ONE wants to view racism as a mindset, but it's that. It's the idea that the suffering of some doesn't matter because of an innate characteristic they can't change. You aren't an ally if you believe that some people's suffering simply doesn't matter to your in group, you aren't an ally if you believe in acceptable causalities.
This is why I REALLY don't like anyone who is gay and is ambivalent on trans people's right to exist, this is why I don't like people who refuse to talk actual racism in favor of stoking a stereotype of all white people being innately racist. Because if your actual want is to help others, than you need to confront those issues head on, not let others take the fall for you, not relitigate racism into a more "Acceptable" form, but actually deal with the problems that exist instead of blanketing that shit under "DAE white people XD" but actually going for the issue. There's racist white people in the community, we can ACTUALLY TALK ABOUT IT, but instead it's vague BS meant to stoke division.
I'm not a perfect human being, but if anyone ever tells you that your suffering isn't meaningful cause of your genitals or your sex or your pronouns or the color of their skin, know that they are wrong, period. I've never been more insulted online and I literally have "Loser" in my bio, and I didn't think this place could rival fucking Twitter in terms of facilitating awful people.
Over 60K notes lowkey justifying why certain people being literally killed is acceptable. 60K notes basically justifying that the oppression queer people who are white may face isn't meaningful. Maybe I'm reading into it too much, but good lord kindness is *fucking dead* in the world and at this point I should pack in my expectations for humanity cause even the people who have FIRST HAND EXPERIENCE WITH THESE SUBJECTS are more than willing to shield the god damn fucks cause CERTAIN people just have it coming. Like fuck being an "Ally" if this shit flies. Like I felt pretty angry when I saw how little care was given from BLM towards other minority groups who faced police brutality, but I figured a rising tide raises all ships. I felt pretty angry with how little coverage of missing Native women cause they just disappear and nobody cares, but maybe it's OK that some people got coverage when they went missing cause rising tide. But 60K notes... On a post that's justifying that certain people can't face oppression or face violence cause of their skin color DESPITE being gay, DESPITE being Trans, DESPITE all that...
Just fucking pack it up I guess, we're fucked. If 60K people just can't see why oppression is bad period, regardless of who it's at, then fucking pack, it, up. Set the nukes off, suck us into a black hole, humanity is a god damn waste of time for everyone involved because people can't even be assed to SEE how innocent people being hurt is bad. "Oh but MY oppression is worse!" OK? Good for you! You won the contest! Except this isn't a contest against who had it worse, it's a contest to prevent ANYONE from having it AS BAD AS YOU DID, and squabbling over this BS just enables the exact same division that allowed you to be treated like dogshit in the first place!
And yes, if you push the idea that queer white people can't face oppression, you are shielding the bigots who do the oppressing, full stop. You're using the exact same argument misogynistic, old, white fucks make about how women are "Asking for it" for having the NERVE to dress how they see fit. It's disgusting. Period.

Every day by David Leviathan (movie adaption)
OKAY SO
I read the book everyday, like A LONG TIME AGO!!! ANYWAYS, looking back it really really was meaningful for us, because it really really attached the feeling of disconnected to the body and just yeah so many things. So I hold this book and as such this movie in really really high esteem! ANYWAYS I really hope this movie is good! I will be so sad if this movie is bad!
So far, perfect, I love it, it gives the energy of just falling in love and absolute perfect day that is when they first meet!
I love how they say "Hello Amy!!" It's hilarious I love that
I love that for A but also damn poor rhi
Oh rhi oh rhi
Oh no rhi oh no rhi I vaguely remember this moment
A is so stupid, I love that for A
Rhiannon is allowed to be so upset
I'm kinda sad that misses out on the internet stuff they did... Like how they hung out online but it's prolly for the pacing and stuff
Oh my god it's my favourite dude
I'm kind of sad that it's from Rhiannon's point of view.
Idk just brain is sad that it's from singlet kind of view
)))))): poor A
For some reason uuuuggghh can't remember but sad
Rhiannon being trans ally but like in the "oh yeah I'm an ally" way rather than geniunely believing you know?
Goddamn Rhiannon, poor girl. Like realistic teenager girl stuff
A fuckin with her is so funny. Coz yeah I would too. Like goddamn that would be terrifying
A is so excited I love that
Awwwwwweeee they're so in love
"Holy shit" xD I love that
I can't remember if it actually happened but I love the "BE COOL BE COOL BE COOL" shower scene
Different note I saw Joilene's actor and went "Miley Cyrus????"
A is just like "goddamn save me"
But also a vibe "I don't fucking like you right now, the person that likes you isn't fucking here so fuck off" bossy really vibes with it
I love the face thing the dad thinks, how I feel about the whole bossy and stuff. This blog, this everything, is just a way to let us out. Be something more than -our bodys name- more than what and who we're expected to be
I do think it's funny that when rhi broke up with her dick of an ex boyfriend the site I was watching it closed, that's so funny
I love how they a do that
"do you consider yourself a boy or a girl?" ".....yes" sam
Oh no oh no is this the one where A wakes up in an addicts body? It real fucking sad.. nooooooo and she doesn't know!!!! Oh my god oh my god oh my god oh my god. I remember reading the book and I remember A being so sad because they couldn't get to Rhiannon.
Oh no it's the flight thing it's the flight moment. Oh no it's going to be sad
Oh god that poor mother she had no idea
WHAT
THEY CHANGED IT TO A LUNG TRANSPLANT FUCK OFFFF THAts so ))))))):<<<<<
Looking back it was like "who cares theyre in love!!!"
Now I'm like "oh god a multiple thousands trip got cancelled coz they're in love"
Joilene sucks but also fair
Oh fuck man friend #1 sucks
Poor A
Goddamn it's such a complicated situation
Oh no her dad is worrying that she's manic like he used to be
Oh fuck off, good job Justin
I love how A puts Rhiannon's hair behind her ear every time because A has mannerisms
I love the romanticism of neurodivergence, coz now it's very obvious that the whole sensitive weird boy thing was about neurodivergence. And like I don't know I know it's bad but also, I love how that was expressed, I feel so seen and loved and just experienced. Idk how to explain it man
Awwweee but also on man
Also, it's after a while you notice how Rhiannon has a really big attachment style kind of thing. Um I can't remember but yeah. And A loves her. They really really do, but they can't be Alexander.
Oh my god it's so bitter sweet and just yeah
Oh no
It's when A says she should date Alexandra instead
): it's so sad
A has thought about it
I don't know how I feel about this
I it was a good movie, if I hadn't read the book, similar to words on the bathroom walls I would go feral for it
But I'm sad that's it's from a singlet point of view. I'm sad that they cut out the fact that the priest was another spirit that had kept a body
The story is still really important to me, I'm just sad that it's not from A's point of view
I love how all the actors that were an A at some point got character name/ A that's so fun

I once heard somebody say that ‘the inability of the left to distinguish between an imperfect ally and an enemy is the height of privilege and will be our downfall’. I’ve completely forgotten where I heard it from, but I really think that it could help with your whole mercilessly harassing and shitting on an Terrace and her incredibly diverse, LGBTQ+ show here. Seriously, this isn’t JKR retroactively calling Dumbledore gay. This is somebody who’s proven that the gay rep can be there. They’ve put the work in (Lumity exists, Raine Whispers exists AND they plays an important role in the story, Hunter has a bi patch on a jacket he made, etc.), and sometimes LGBTQ+ and trans characters should also just be ALLOWED to exist, you know. What we have with The Owl House is just about the most exact, polar OPPOSITE of “CrUmBs” that you could possibly fucking get for LGBTQ+ representation in a cartoon.
Have you ever considered that maybe you’re just an incredibly bigoted person, and THAT’S why you find yourself so often hating the LGBTQ+ rep that you see in the shows that you watch, no matter how good and positive that it is?
First off, I have not harassed Terrace in any way. Harassment is a serious issue, and you shouldn't trivialize others experiences by calling benign critisism harassment.
Second, LGBTQ+ and trans? Hmm...
Now, you're saying you agree that Terrace is imperfect, but we just shouldn't criticize her? Because that would be... the downfall of the left? A little overdramatic, but I suppose that's what happens when you interpret a quote that's supposed to mean "the lesser of two evils is objectively the best option, go vote" as "don't criticize the show I like".
Terrace didn't "prove" anything, either. Sixteen and Brace Face were amungst the first cartoons with gay rep over a decade ago, but if you needed it proved that gay rep in cartoons was possible in the first place, then your probably not very smart. Or disingenuous. I'll let you figure out which one I think you are.
Also weird how the only rep you didn't defend was the aroace rep, ya know, the main one I was criticizing? It's almost like you don't actually care what I say and are just having a knee-jerk reaction to seeing something you like being criticized.
You see kids, this is what happens when you get to emotionally invested in a show. Anon saw me complain about one character and decided that painting me as some kind of raging demon that hates all lgbt+ rep ever (just ignore all the rep I praise in this blog) was a more rational course of action then maybe asking if Dana Terrace wasn't 100% perfect like God just because she made a show that gave them some serotonin one time.
No show is perfect. Speaking from experience, the sooner you accept that fact and diversify your media diet a bit more, the happier you'll be. If you ever find yourself wanting to rage in someone's inbox like anon here, maybe try taking a moment to self reflect.

A story of two little lesbians (part 3)
There they were. Elizabeth and Melissa. For Liz this was just a nice little chat with a trans person that talked to her as a peer. Elle however was starting to sweat. Oh god, just walking up talking to a crush, she never did something like this. What had changed for her to be so pushy? They will hate her! Liz did in fact not hate her, but she mistook Elle's nervousness for just a about-to-out-myself-as-trans-to-a-stranger-thing, not realizing the crush everyone else could clearly see. After Elle had sat down Liz said in a lower but friendly tone: "I never actually had to ask anyone and I'm kinda exited to get the chance, but, I suppose you do not go by he/him, right?"
Elle froze. She had been wearing that pin for a long time but she never thought about what to do when someone would ask the obvious question. Liz noticed Elle's shock and leaned a bit back to add: "Oh, am I too forward? Sorry, I'm a trans ally but I don't know much about all the terms and stuff. So whenever I say something insensitive, please tell me, yeah? No hard feelings. I don't wanna hurt anyone and I am eager to learn!" Hearing those words made Elle melt. What a great person, she thought to herself.
This reassurance made her reluctantly find her voice again: "N-no, you are absolutely right. I, uhm, I go by…" Elle lowered her voice until it was barely audible and looked away. "…she/her." Liz's face lit up even more, barely able to contain her excitement: "Oh, that's so cool!" she whispered back. "Since when did you know? How is the transition going? How many people know?" Liz was not able to be less forward it seemed. But still: This was the opposite of what Elle's fears told her would happen. Someone could be excited about her being trans? She did neither know what to respond or if she even wanted to answer these questions, so she awkwardly tried to return to the script she practiced: "Uhm… my name - my chosen name is Elizabeth, Elle for short if you want."
It seemed impossible but Liz got even more excited. Elle thought she could make out sparkling stars in their eyes but those were probably just the canteen's light fixtures. "Awww, it is so precious and cute!" Liz answered happily. "And I guess I'm just a boring cis female with the classic she/her and a boring given name: Melissa! Friends call me Liz. That from now on includes you!" Elle had been befriended without getting asked but she did not mind. She was even able to relax a bit from being welcomed this wholeheartedly. She's so modest, she obviously knows the important stuff, Elle thought to herself.
But then she mustered a very cute little anger with newfound eye contact and replied: "No, you're not boring! You are bi and so nice and your name is cute too!" The sentence itself was a bit weird but her message came across. Liz actually really appreciated Elle's brand of honesty: Saying the right things even if the words themselves aren't perfect. Elizabeth knew like three things about Melissa and was already vocally adamant in her support of these things.
A split second later Elle looked at the floor and added in a more relaxed but still nervous tone: "Thank you for wanting to be my friend…" Liz loved this kind of affection because she was insecure too - just in another way. She feared everyone around her lied about liking her and that she was actually an awful person. But just the way Elle clumsily said all this made it impossible for Liz to doubt her honesty. Elle did not know at the time but this little awkward bundle of words was the moment a little crush was sparked in Liz' heart as well.

I AM INFURIATED!!!!
But not for the reasons you think.
How many of you watched the She-Ra panel tonight? ACTUALLY WATCHED IT?! Because I did and here's what I saw:
1. "_____ called someone the D slur"
He DID NOT call anyone that word. He used it in the context of announcing a panelist to the show. The word is IN THE TITLE of her podcast. He was literally just stating the title. That's it.
2. "Noelle said Double Trouble would be creepy around kids."
What Noelle said was that to get the inspiration for Flutterina, Double Trouble would have gone to a coffee shop, found a girl to imitate, and stare at her until they got her mannerisms down. Because of the implications here irt trans people and the stereotypes of "creeping on children", this could have been worded better. BUT this whole headcanon was in response to Noelle DEFENDING Double Trouble against the rest of the crew thinking they straight up murdered the real Flutterina. And again, problematic because of larger implications, but on the show Double Trouble IS A VILLAIN. Just because we think they're awesome doesn't mean they're not capable of shady shit. I saw very few people having a problem with this before. Other things they said about DT?
They specifically searched for a non-binary trans activist to voice the role.
Double Trouble was the whole cast's favorite character.
Everyone had a crush on them.
They support DT x Peekablue headcanon and think they should date.
3. "Noelle said Entrapta and Hordak are great representation."
Literally just did not say this. This comment was made by a fan writing in. A fan who, by the way, IS DISABLED THEMSELVES, and was writing in to thank the crew for the rep THEY saw in these characters. Noelle didn't agree or disagree at all. She goes on to give a character analysis about them both, and that's it.
4. "They made Bow's brothers slaves."
No. They didn't. It's a crew inside joke that all of Bow's brother's have pun names that rhyme with "Bow". The brother in question came from one of the other male creators making the joke "which one of Bow's brothers tills the field? Sow." Here's a pic from Noelle about the rest of the brothers.
Tumblr media
Because of the complicated history between black people and "farm work" it's best to not make any joke at all like this. It was tasteless and misguided, but hardly a reason to grab pitchforks. Black people have the phrase "whites gonna white" for a REASON. We know there's no such thing as an unproblematic person. Creator or otherwise. Is it still wrong? Yes. Should people strive to do and be better? Absolutely. Should allies listen when POC talk about things that make us uncomfortable, and support us when WE call it out? Please, for the love of God!!! But I do not think the level of backlash the crew-ra is getting is at all warranted.
I understand I do not speak for all black people or lesbians, and I don't speak for ANY of those other groups mentioned and possibly offended, because I am not one of them. However, I felt the need to speak for myself. I am SO SICK of everyone knee-jerk reacting to every little thing that could possibly offend someone. Noelle is not perfect, but she has done a SHIT TON of work for representation and the progression of normalizing queer, inclusive stories to younger audiences. She also went to bat for a diverse cast of characters to be voiced by a diverse cast of VA.
The truly fucked up thing? There was a question someone wrote in about how a cis, straight, white person can respectfully tell the stories of underrepresented and marginalized communities. Noelle then goes on for 5 minutes about how it's difficult, and how it's more important to hold doors open for creators who actually come from those communities to be able to have their own voices heard. And this is the woman you throw flames at? Ridiculous. Our true enemies are able to so easily conquer us, because we so easily divide ourselves.
No one owes allegiance to any one fandom or creator. But we have got to start picking our battles more carefully. If we don't, people will become desensitized to our cries when REAL threats and offenses happen. And white people? PLEASE stop being so outraged at every little "off-color" remark someone makes YOU think might offend ME. I appreciate you wanting to be an ally, but you are drowning out our voices over things that really matter. That's why we get shit like musicians and sports teams changing their "racially insensitive" names, while police are STILL killing unarmed black peple in the streets without repercussions. It shouldn't be an either/or thing, but it often is, so please focus your attention on "canceling" THAT.
TL;DR: Don't just retweet and reblog everything you see without doing your own research and forming your own opinion. Speak out against bigotry, but understand when it's time attack, and when it's time to educate. Stop holding people on so high a pedestal they have no room to grow, and can only fall. Do not speak for, or louder, than the people you say you are standing up for. We can speak for ourselves. Help amplify our voices; DO NOT BECOME OUR VOICES. And finally, because we really do just have so much bigger fish to fry:

okay okay, since i’ve been transing everyone’s gender lately i’m gonna talk about another concept i’ve had a while ago but never really did anything with:
trans man claudius and (closeted) trans woman hamlet
@all-mimsy helped a lot with this one! I’m tagging @butchhamlet and @suits-of-woe too, because this feels like the kind of headcanon you’d both like
claudius transitioned when he was fifteen or sixteen and his brother was eighteen. because he was never expected to be in line for the throne he hadn’t been trained in any of the duties or responsibilities of a king, and their parents were like “okay, i guess we have this son now” and just continued to ignore him
king hamlet is a massive transphobe and badmouths claudius to hamlet all the time. “With witchcraft of his wit, with traitorous gifts—. O wicked wit and gifts, that have the power So to seduce” is because he must have used witchcraft since no woman would willingly choose him over a ~real~ man. hey king hamlet, fuck off maybe.
the courtiers are pretty evenly split between whispering malicious rumors about claudius, and Politely Ignoring the fact that they’ve been calling him a princess up to now. some of the new guards and courtiers have no idea he’s not cis. and it should feel like acceptance, but somehow it doesn’t.
I actually really love interpretations where hamlet has a lot more in common with claudius than with king hamlet, because they’re both more solitary and thoughtful compared to his hawkishness. so yep, he’s the fun uncle and it comes as a real shock to realize that this person hamlet trusted and loved could be capable of killing someone.
so because they’re friends, hamlet talks to claudius about gender stuff, and eventually realizes that she’s not the perfect son her father wants. (she already wasn’t going to be, but it’s a relief to know that there’s a reason for it) claudius is a really good ally and mentor and he loves his niece!
between fear of how her father will react if she comes out, and her desperate need for his approval, hamlet stays deep in the closet. her name is still hamlet and she doesn’t plan to change it because it’s a part of her.
horatio definitely knows she’s a woman. laertes sort of halfway guesses it, but thinks she’s just gay. ophelia is patient and figures hamlet will tell her whatever’s going on in her own time.
“not so, my lord, I am too much in the sun/son” becomes a fun line in this au! so does “frailty, thy name is woman” and “oh, that this too too sullied flesh would melt” and "god hath given you one face, and you make yourself another."
but the MAIN bit of dialogue that really sparked my interest in this concept is this:
HAMLET I see a cherub that sees them. But, come; for England! Farewell, dear mother. KING CLAUDIUS Thy loving father, Hamlet. HAMLET My mother: father and mother is man and wife; man and wife is one flesh; and so, my mother. Come, for England!
she just says that first bit without thinking, delighted by the wordplay of it, because she’s following her own train of thought that’s full of worms and beggars, and then claudius just stiffens and sounds really sad and disappointed. it takes a moment to realize why, so she says “my mother” and then it hits her, and the whole rest of her lines are a babbling justification -- she can hate him for killing her father, but she can’t hate him for his gender or for helping her figure out her own. after “and so” she trails off and looks at him with her wide pleading eyes, and winces at the look on his face and just weakly finishes “... my mother”

Let's do this. One last time.
Ducktales 2017. I didn't think I was ready for the end, but the finale was too perfect to be sad nor angry.
There's so much to say-too much to say...and I'm going to try my best to say all of it.
EVERYONE IS HERE!! ENDGAME WHO?! DUCKTALES!!!!!
Seeing Webby and Scrooge interactions now, after watching this once, is just-They're So Soft! AND everything is just-AH I love it. It's so weird, but when is the family tree not screwy(also, Webby=Scrooge's clone? Webby=female? Trans Scrooge=Cannon?! I think Fucking So!)
Aaaaaaannd that's all we get from Gladstone and Fethry. If there's one thing I wish was in this episode more it would be more cousin interactions and Daisy. Though, Daisy not being too into it makes sense. Loved what we got of her tho. At least we got a little bit of them this episode, it was already pretty character packed
Well...Launchpad is only half wrong.
Oh wow. Oh Wow, I love this dynamic between LP, Drake, and Fenton...ot4? because I refuse to leave Gandra out. I love how Drake doesn't know about Fenton and Gizmo while it seems like everyone else in the world does. Still, LP/Drake and Gandra/Fenton some of my faves. So good
OH YEAH! Even the other 2 Caballeros are here!!
And the last adventure STARTS
I find it Fantastic how Dewey and Launchpad will probably die thinking F.O.W.L used the last level of a videogame as their secret layer layout
*sigh* This is why I avoid previews and wish I was better at avoiding theories from after those previews. I would have been more surprised and probably would have enjoyed this ep even more if I had Nothing to expect. But the theories were right. Tho, I did not expect how (or should I say Who) Webby was cloned from...though also I was spoiled by that when I was looking for the ep. Some ass used "Scrooge is Webby's dad" as a video title. I didn't think it was real, but I was wrong.
Awwww. Don has such a soft spot for kids
I love Lena and her development.
...*sigh* ok. "you've already got sisters" with this line, I am obligated to drop the Webby/Lena ship. I'm sorry, but it's one of my many rules for being ok with a ship. If the characters Ever say, even just once as an afterthought, they see each other as siblings or something similar, I will see them as that. It's why I've never been ok and have been uncomfortable with Shiro/Keith since Keith saved Shiro from...his clones...huh. So, from now on, I'm going to be Very uncomfortable with anything Weblena...even though the thought of them in the future was cute
HOW does a show about building ottomans have plot???
I wasn't sure how to feel about the clones All throughout this
OOOOOOOOOOOOOO HUEY JUST FIRST NAMED BEAKLEY!!!!!
GOLDIE AND DAISY ARE ON THE BOARD!!! SCORE!!
Oooooh. That picture of Webby's parents...is fake. It's like some picture Beakley took off the internet.
I saw a post saying how Della had to convince Donald to go on one last adventure and how she had to watch him almost die, but she really Didn't. She helped him pack and she was ready to let Donald go on his adventure("but Daisy's my adventure" They are too damn cute for their own damn good. I love them. donsy for the win), but an actual Crisis came up and he had to stay. Donald nearly dying by void was not Della's fault and if I see any more posts about how she roped Donald into a death mission, I will go up a wall and break a neck on my way down
Man, it's weird hearing this and knowing that Webby's parents don't exist
Wow! Beakley just knocked out Scrooge! Damn!
Oooh! The girls are fighting
...Woah. I just realized, the blood and brain of Scrooge McDuck and the training of Bentina Beakley. Webby is even more of a beast than we knew.
IS THAT DEVELOPMENT I HEAR!!! YOU KEEP THOSE KIDS BEHIND? YOU LOSE!!! GOOD DAY SIR!
Pepper. Just Pepper. She seems like one of your parent's nice coworkers that brings you brownies and pinches your cheeks
"Look after your brother." YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW MUCH I JUST WANNA-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DADRO YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!! IT IS OFICIALLY BOYD GEARLOSE NOW!! YEEEEE!!!!
I also really like that you can't tell which Gyro is telling that to
God, I Fucking Love the concept that is Manny. He's one of those things that if someone asked you about him outside of the fandom, you wouldn't even know where to start. It's absolutely FanFuckingTastic. He's the most magical thing in the universe? Fuck Yes, give that to me Now!
HE SPEAKS!!!!!!(I couldn't place his voice actor, but I when I looked him up I realized recognized him for Glossaryck from SVTFOE)
(Edit: Just found out that the scene with Manny was a Gargoyles ref. Nice!)
Once again, I love everything about LP, Drake, and Fenton
And then Lena Died
Aww, they both have such soft spots for children
LUDWIG VON DRAKE?!?!!!?! WHAT THE FUCK?!
(that had to be a different font because really, what the fuck)
He really did just say he was too busy to die. This duck is too powerful
(I really just don't have too much to say between all of this. I just love all of it)
Woo! Louie with the motivation!
Pft-how both of them are singing? Love to see it...wait, we don't see Don Karnage after this...DID HE DIE IN THAT CRASH?! DID DEWEY COMMIT HIS FIRST MURDER?!
"Welcome home, April." I hate you.
Of course he dabs
"he was like this when we found him." Nice to know Gos knows what to do in the event that she kills someone
Oh that's horrendous. I hate that
"Now, let's get down to business." TO DEF[get's shot]
Why is Manny like actually the best?
God, Drake and LP really are two halves of a whole idiot huh? They're soulmates, your honor
"I. Am." "Not alone in this." That was so sweet, but also JUST TELL HIM!!
And now Glom is dead
Oh, that's a lot of mind control
"Even by our standards, this is a weird day." Couldn't say it better, Lena
"How do you think Della found out about the Spear of Selene?" OH, YOU MOTHERFU
"Oh, Bradford, how villainous." DAMN! HE REALLY DID JUST DO THAT, HUH?!
"MOOOM!" "NOOO!" OH NO, MY HEART! IT FUNCTIONS!
"Do you know how replaceable clones are?" Oh yeah, that's right. You're probably not the og Gyro
Man, we don't ever have Von Drake for long but I always love him
Those lights are really only there for dramatic effect, aren't they?
...Close enough.
Launchpad moment! Yeah!!!
HEY! I just noticed. While wearing the suit, Launchpad didn't crash...idk what to do with this info
The fine print is usually good to read...we people just don't do it apparently
"...your most trusted ally?" *picks Donald* Wow. That's right there with the feels ain't it
"it's not worth the risk." Fuck, I love them
Oh that sounds so weird. Scrooge has never been a dad, always Uncle. So Weird
And Gandra, Gyro, and Von Drake are dead. There is a Body Count this episode
"Donald Duck." "Uncle Scrooge." I SEE YOU! I SEE WHAT YOU DID THERE! AND I LOVE IT!
Hehe. From Bitchford to bird brain.
EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS ENDING SCENE IS THE BEST!
Beakley thinking she's no longer accepted? Nah, she was granny first and foremost
ANOTHER FENRA KISS?! DON'T MIND IF I DO!
DADRO AND GOSALYN AND DRAKE?! LOVING IT!
MORE FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS?! WOO!
DONALD IMMEDIATELY ADOPTING JUNE AND MAY?! ONLY THE BEST FROM HIM!!!!
PROTECTIVE SCROOGE?! YOU DON'T SEE ME COMPLAINING!
"We're smarter" "We're tougher" "We're sharper" And we'll earn our way square." AH-I'M GOING DOWN LIKE THE SUNCHASER, GUYS
AND THE END CREDITS WILL NEVER BE MATCHED!!!!!
I don't know what else to say.
This show was amazing from beginning to end. I may not have cried, but I didn't need to cry. It wasn't sad and there was nothing bittersweet about it. Just pure perfection, just like the rest of the show.
Perfectly Preen, not a fether out of place.
Goodnight Ducktales, you were perfect
