Ravio woke in the dead of night, and didn't have to wonder what had roused him. Link was curled around him, like he had been when Ravio closed his eyes for the night, and Ravio could feel his partner's every tiny movement. Erratic twitching and quiet whimpers told Ravio that Link was, without a doubt, trapped in a nightmare.

Ravio couldn't wake Link himself (at best Link wouldn't respond, at worst he would be even more hysterical upon waking) so he wrapped his arms around his partner and sent his comfort until it was over.

He still flinched when Link jerked awake with a bitten-off scream, and offered no resistance when his partner panicked and pushed himself away. Ravio shut his eyes tight, hoping that Link would come to his senses before he hurt himself, but there was a loud thud as Link fell to the floor.

Sheerow broke the silence with a sleepy, inquisitive chirp, and Ravio shushed the bird before untangling himself from the blankets. He dropped gently from the bed and sat in front of Link, silent and waiting.

Slowly, his partner recovered from the shock, looking anxiously around the room. He froze, seeing that Ravio was there with an outstretched hand, and slowly reached to take it. Link's fingers were shaking too much to hold it back, but Ravio squeezed his hand and said the words he was waiting to hear.

"It was just a nightmare, love. It wasn't real."

Link's eyes glinted in the moonlight, tears forming as the first sob left him and he fell again, this time into Ravio's waiting arms.

"I don't wanna go back to bed," Link whimpered after a while, his voice only half-there from crying.

"I know, bun," Ravio soothed, tracing circles behind his partner's ear. "Let's get a drink from the kitchen and figure things out from there."

IT IS DONE!

SKYWARD SWORD WALL SCROLL! :D

This is the product of 4 months of work, 12hrs 30 mins in total, and i am so proud of it!

I wanted to pay homage, as well as make something to represent my favorite zelda game on my wall, but making your acerage movie poster style thing did not encapsulate enough for me so i had to make something to really shout out every detail and thing that happened in the game.

I only have about 12 different colour pencils, so it was an interesting experience and actually kind of fun to try and get a specific shade or the specific colour i wanted with what i had, especially because skyward sword uses very unique colours, sure they look basic, but when you try to replicate them, you really do see how specific the colours are. Its really cool.

I will post a photo of it on my wall on a seperate post since i have to now move everything i already have on there to fit this

LAST BIT LAST BIT!!

Last but of colouring, i will post the full piece with closeups in a tiny bit!

Spent 1hr 30 on these two parts and they turned out surprisingly well, better than i thought they would

However they just consisted of colouring large blocks of area one colour and just layering the colours so it got very tedious, because i went over everything so many times with so many different colours

Im proud of the spiral of the sealing grounds because that took so many attempts to get right and it looks really good, it was so hard, especially with the two perspectives of that bit

The storm also turned out surprisingly good even though while doing it, i thought it was looking terrible. It turned out really well with the energy that i wanted it to have

I love it though im so glad its done

Okay but i was imagining the island being the isle of songs because i got dragonhead mixed with the thunderhead, but i searched it up and

The isle of songs bears a really close resemblance to where Zelda got draconified in totk 0.0

Y'ALL I had the most wretched train of thought

(spoilers for totk; also I haven’t fought Ganondorf yet so no spoilers in the notes pls!)

The Zonai existed during Skyward Sword, even predating the game. The people of Skyloft and the Zonai have had a few run-ins, some peaceful and others not. At one point, prior to improving their technology, the Zonai tried to steal loftwings to better travel to different sky islands. Least to say, Skyloftians did not like that. They have an uneasy peace and keep their distance far from each other by the time of Skyward Sword, but Link and Zelda are familiar with their existence.

When the cloud barrier disappears, it allows the Zonai to go back to the Surface as much as it does the Skyloftians. It takes them a few years to manage it and establish a settlement, and they eventually run back into the Skyloftians on the Surface. Link and Zelda are married with kids by now, and Zelda is the leader of the Hylian settlement. The Zonai discover that Link is responsible for the cloud barrier's disappearance (Zelda is proud of Link for defeating Demise so she'll let him take all the credit; also, she doesn't need nor want to tell a ton of people she's a goddess reincarnate, especially to a tribe her people have historically not had the best relationship with).

In thanks, the Zonai give Link a gift: a Secret Stone.

The Zonai tell Link that this special magical stone is one of several that are gifts from the goddesses. The Zonai do not know all their properties, only that they enhance whatever abilities the user has. Link figures this will enhance his fighting prowess, and though he is appreciative of the gift, he doesn't think it'll make much of a difference to him.

And then the nightmares come.

Link starts getting nightmares of varying scenarios. A knight fighting a giant monster, facing down an army of mechanical beasts. A child struck down by a demon king. A man with a fairy fighting a demonic beast. Link sees his children, he sees what Hyrule grows to, he sees Demise come again and again, and he sees the Heroes who have to fight him.

Demise's dying words weren't a hateful monologue spat out in spite. They were a promise, a curse.

With this knowledge, Link goes to Zelda, and the two try everything they can to figure out how to stop this. The visions drive Link to near insanity, preventing him from gettin more than one to two hours of sleep for weeks. Zelda goes to the Zonai to ask more about the Secret Stones (she wants to give it back, honestly, but is afraid that it would be viewed as a rejection of the gift, and given the history of conflict between their tribes, she doesn't want to go that route). The Zonai know very little of the stones, though, and Zelda doesn't get much. Link, on the other hand, learns about them from the dragon servants of Hylia. He is told that the stone, when combined with its user, can make the wielder immortal.

Link doesn't care about immortality. But he does care about stopping the demon king, in every era, in every place, in every time. He does care about protecting his descendants, his people, the whole world.

The dragons warn him that he will never be the same, that he may never actually be able to interact with his family again.

After months of haunting visions of destruction and death and pain, he finds himself willing to make that sacrifice. If it means he can protect Zelda and his children, he'll do it.

So one night, he flies on his loftwing to an island in the sky. He hugs his loftwing and kisses him goodbye. He begs his companion to look after his family. Zelda's loftwing arrives, alone. The two birds fly in circles around Link, stirring up a wind as he stares at the Secret Stone held delicately between his index finger and thumb, held just above eye level before he squeezes it in his palm.

And he swallows it.

On the Surface, Zelda drops the glass she's holding. In the sky, a dragon screams.

The Zonai learn what happens when one consumes a Secret Stone.

And the Spirit Dragon is born.

Fun fact (at least for some of my stories, not canon), the reason Dragonhead Island has its name is because it's the first place draconification occurred. Legend says a Hero of the Goddesses consumed a secret stone and became one with the sky to rejoin Hylia, and he watches over Hyrule all the way up to the modern day. He's the most elusive of them all, known as the Spirit Dragon.

So now whenever I listen to Dragonhead Island's theme, all I can think of is how that place is just... a mausoleum for Sky T-T

Hey, you are not an embarrassment for not knowing how to do certain household chores/basic self-care. They do not come naturally to us. A lot of it takes practice! Maybe you had a neglectful guardian. Maybe you had one that was very coddling and never thought to teach you. Maybe you haven't lived in a place where these things were available to you or needed. Doesn't matter. It's okay to not know and far more common than you might realise.

That said, this website provides very simple instructions on how to do everyday tasks such as making your bed, using a washing machine, cooking different foods, washing dishes, taking a shower, etc. All you have to do is use the search bar to find the task you're struggling with, and it'll come up with what you need + other related how-to's:)

If you're having trouble navigating it, let me provide you with some examples:

How to clean dishes by hand

How to make your bed (with visual demonstrations of each step!)

How to fold clothes (with visual demonstrations of each step!)

How to take a shower & dry yourself off (also provides ways to shave beards, armpits, legs and genitals)

How to shave legs, armpits, beards, pubic areas, etc. (a more in-depth guide)

How to mop the floor

How to sweep the floor

How to swallow pills

How to make small talk

How to make eye contact in different situations (or how to avoid it while still looking natural)

It's also perfectly okay if these don't help or aren't appealing to you. Unfortunately, nothing helps everyone.

For the loz ask game, how about the spirit tracks overworld theme?

Ooh spirit tracks is one of the zelda games i desperately want to play. However its too expensive on the ds and all the emulators hardly function so sadly i just cant play it at the moment

But you want to know what got me so so gripped on playing this game? The music. I stumbled across the malladus battle music and fell in love with the track (hehe spirit tracks) so now i want to play it just for the music (and of course the story) I haven't listened to the ost like i have all the other games because this is the game i want to go into with as little spoilers as i can, and the ost comments and track titles often have spoilers so im putting off listening to it even thougb i have all the other games even though ive barely played any of them

But the main theme is so good. It carries the wind waker feel, but somehow it feels sturdier because they are on land and not the sea. It really sets the mood so well, as well as just being a fun track. Its so nice to listen to, and i cant wait for when i someday am able to play the game and boot up that title screen for the first time properly

(I realise i was talking about the main theme but they are basically the same)

TOTK COLGERA FIGHT MUSIC 💕💕💕💕 my favorite 🫶 OPINION????

Amazing. Easily one of the best tracks in the game.

Its really cool to listen to, as well as playing the voss fight for the first time, it just made the experience so cool. Playing with the sound loud on the tv while shooting at colgera felt so amazing and exhilerating, and half of that was from the music (as well as the boss fight just being fun, at least for the first time)

Obviously the nod to wind waker is great, i love the dragon roost theme so when the melody for it comes sweeping in with all that fanfare, it just felt so good

Didnt realise how sore wearing a binder for a day would make my torso the next day

Think ill skip wearing it today

But it was so hard to keep track of how long i was wearing it for, cuz i was taking like 1hr breaks every while or so that i started noting ut down so i made sure i didnt wear it for longer than 8-10hrs like the binder said.

(For context this was the first time i wore a binder out of home and for longer than 2hrs)
