Hello Tumblr world.

(yes, I know it's Wednesday)

It's been a hell of a week for me. I had a deep therapy session on Sunday and then the past 2 days I've been an emotional wreck, dealing with a bunch of stuff that has come up from that. Add the weather, the news, my physical health...

And then this morning I got a work email that feels extra critical to my overwrought brain and I've just completely crashed.

So, I need a boost. I would like anyone who feels called to, to inbox me a photo of your pet. I want to see some cute animals and coo over them to get me through the work day.

I am really sorry for losing your ask, nonnie 😕 I typed out a complete answer in my drafts and my dumbass accidentally deleted the entire post. Luckily, I still have this saved from my gmail. So, here is my response:

I wholeheartedly agree with your take!

Out of all the bland, vanilla OCs out there, Alys stands out as a unique example 😇 While most Targaryen protagonist pairings are predictable and cliched, Alys breaks the mold in the best way possible. The popular trend here is to ship Aemond with his niece or another Targaryen OC, using the argument that in a different AU, his Targaryen heritage would have driven him towards such relationships. However, it should be noted that Aemond has never expressed any desire for these types of relationships outside of his duty. And, that’s a keyword here: DUTY. Yet, even with all these societal expectations weighing on him, Aemond chooses Alys because he genuinely desires her. He is smitten with her charms and falls head over heels for her. He even risks his own position to protect her and goes against tradition by marrying an older woman who is a base-born bastard. Now that's true love and rebellion against duty at its finest.

My oomf @azdaema-archive drew a delightful comparison between Alysmond and Duncan/Jenny in this brilliant ask. Both princes defied their duties and threw caution to the wind by rejecting their arranged betrothals with Baratheon women. In doing so, they risked their status and positions for a chance at a romantic future with their chosen ladies 🥰 Now, if you'll indulge me in my boldness, I must say that Duncan/Jenny is the charming ✨cottagecore✨ version of Alysmond's dark gothic mess. Feel free to roll your eyes and raise your pitchforks at my audacity 😭 I regret nothing 💀

“Babe!” Reno sniffed while adjusting his blankets. “I neeed yooooooou!”

You were in the kitchen, trying to prepare some soup for the needy redhead.

“I’m coming! Give me a second, jeez.” She was honestly getting kind of annoyed with Reno’s needyness but she couldn’t be too annoyed. Poor guy was sick and needed someone to take care of him but god! Let her cook!

“Baaaaaabe- achoo!” Reno sniffed once again soon following with a long coughing fit.

‘Poor baby’ you thought to yourself.

After waiting awhile, the timer went off and you went to check on the soup. It was done!

You grabbed some juice and spoon for the small bowl of soup and went to the living room, where the sick redhead was trying to get comfortable.

“Babe, sniff, pleease I need you!” He wined.

“I’m here sweetie, here have some food. Hope it helps.”

“Thanks babe, you’re the best.” Reno Estes no time gobbling up your soup. His face immediately lid up.

“You like?” You ask curiously.

“Hell yeah! He said. “Wish it cured me hehe.”

You smiled. Happy he was satisfied with his meal.

You we’re about get up and leave him be when Reno grabbed you’re arm.

“Don’t leave me! I need you!” He wined.

“Reno, I need to-

“PLLLLLEEEEASE!”

He’s so needy when he’s sick but looked so sad that you were leaving.

*sigh* “Ok Reno, I’ll stay you needy baby.”

Reno smirked. “Thanks babe.” He then wen up and kissed your forehead.

You couldn’t hate it, he’s just so cute.

“Get better soon Reno.”

even if he didn't sexually assault him, i wholeheartedly believe he physically abused him.

he just seems like he'd have such bad anger issues that results in him slapping the nearest person or throwing something at them

That’s a HARD ship!

1. What made you ship it?

Like you said, the chemistry! And the fact that Steve falls back on Natasha so many times throughout the MCU. And vice versa.

2. What are your favorite things about the ship?

Kinda goes with the chemistry thing and falling back on each other. Their little quips in Avengers and AOU. OH GOSH WINTER SOLDIER I COULD SAY SO MUCH! Civil War, Natasha literally sacrifices EVERYTHING for Steve (my babies 🥹). Infinity War… that first fight scene says it all. Endgame… Steve crying 😭. And so much more. Just scratching the surface.

One of my fave quotes… “None of that’s your fault Steve.”

3. Is there an unpopular opinion you have on your ship?

Yes there is! Romanogers is way better than Winter Widow. Why? Because Bucky and Natasha have had WAY to much trauma. They were both tortured in a way. Steve went through trauma, but he wasn’t tortured. I just feel like Buck and Nat would be better siblings, and they could go to each other for support you know? But that’s me. :)

"Steve," you mumbled in your half-asleep state, tone of voice indicating that you were clearly annoyed.

"What?" he replied, his voice thick with sleep.

"Your feet are cold," you pouted. "Can you please go put on some socks?"

He rolled over, throwing his arm around your midsection and pulling you ever so closer. His toes brushed against your bare leg, making you shiver. "My favorite socks are dirty. Plus, you know I hate sleeping with socks on. I'll wake up with sweaty feet."

By this point, the mixture of this petty spat and his iceberg toes had woken you up. With a cocked eyebrow, you rolled over to face him. "You have a favorite pair of socks?"

"Yeah, they're more comfortable than all my other pairs," he answered. "Doesn't everyone have a favorite pair of socks?"

You rolled your eyes in response. "I don't know. A sock is a sock to me."

He gasped, his expression nearly as offended as it would be if you were to tell him he didn't have the best hair in Hawkins. "Everybody's got a favorite pair of socks. Robin's are her lucky red socks. Dustin's are the ones he got at science camp with the beakers printed on them. Lucas's are his lucky number eight socks from basketball. Surely you've got a favorite pair of socks too."

You scoffed, nearly followed by a giggle. "I suppose next you're gonna tell me why crew socks are so much better than ankle socks."

His eyebrows raised as he said, "Well, they are."

With a giggle, you rolled onto your other side, a smile tugging at the corners of your lips. "You are so childish, Steve Harrington."

He leaned down, leaving kisses along the seam of your tank top strap. "And you love me for it, don't you, Y/N Harrington?"

i have never written something so fast in my life, i am so proud of myself 😂

anyway yeah, your headcanon just kinda gave me this idea for a cute lil domestic and fluffy moment! i love domestic moments with steve so i couldn't help myself 🫶🏻
