Mother, i have another poly!moonwater request but its a little angsty and tbh its probs mostly Barty appreciation because i 100% believe he'd be the best support system.
So, it doesnt happen very often but Reggie and reader are fighting. Idk what about, maybe she put herself in unnecessary danger or hid a wound?? But Remus has to take Reggies side or maybe he refuses to get involved.
Anyway, as a result she runs to Barty (i imagine she's his James and hes her Sirius) because he's her safe space and is surprisingly soft and comforting. If its readers fault he would be gently upset with her but calmly talk it out with her however he's still on her side and would hide her away for a couple days and let the boys panic for a minute because thats his person aaaaaand he is a little insane.
Hope that all made sense, and then a happy ending or i will cry.
Love youuuuuuu 🫶
'happy ending or I will cry' say less, babes 🫡 Barty to the rescue
poly!moonwater x fem!reader who's best friends with Barty
CW: mentions of fainting, angst, hurt/comfort, mention of blowjobs, Barty wishing people dead (what's new?)
Remus, throughout his life, has not been a stranger to conflict. His father spent Remus’ earliest years in constant battle at the Ministry fighting against werewolf rights. That conflict turned into Remus’ own lifelong curse of lycanthropy as a form of revenge. Remus’ muggle mother and wizard father spent many years in conflict over how to best love and support their werewolf son. Remus and his father experienced a lot of conflict when Dumbledore invited Remus to attend Hogwarts despite his lycanthropy. Remus experienced a lot of conflict with pureblood supremacists at school. Remus experienced conflict with his own friends, namely Sirius, after an unfortunate ‘prank’ that nearly cost both Remus and another student their lives.
But one aspect of Remus’ life that had yet to be a source of conflict had been his relationship with you and Regulus.
It seems almost unfathomable that the three of you managed to intertwine your lives without so much as a clash, but it was true. Regulus brought a confident and assured energy to the relationship, you brought an empathetic and quiet energy, and Remus supposed he was perhaps the most easygoing of the three of you, and that was good for the group.
It is because of this lack of conflict that Remus was very confused to walk into the private study room that the three of you had reserved to find you and Regulus in the middle of a very heated spat.
“And since when don’t you tell me these kinds of things?” Regulus barked angrily at you. Remus actually had to shake his head as if he were hallucinating; he could have easily mistaken Regulus for his brother who was far more hot headed.
“I didn’t know I had to keep you posted on every little thing that happens, Regulus; I was busy.” You spat back.
“Whoa, okay. What have I missed?” Remus asked cautiously, placing his book bag down slowly on the table as if the situation in front of him were a live wire.
“Your girlfriend” Regulus spat as if girlfriend was a dirty word, “fainted today. And I had to hear about it from Pandora!”
Remus ignored most of the things that came out of Regulus’ mouth at the sound of ‘fainted’.
“Dovey! What happened?” He asked, looking to you in horror.
“What happened is she’s been overworking, under-sleeping, under-eating, and she needs to learn to say no to people!”
You scoffed at that. “You mean learn to say no to McLaggen. Just say it Regulus, this about me tutoring the sod in Herbology.”
“This isn’t about some bloke, Y/N!”
“You fainted?” Remus interjected, looking you over as if he may see signs of a fall. He did suppose you looked slightly peaky, but you were clearly worked up over whatever was going on with Regulus.
“Only a little.” You mumbled; voice still taut with impatience though you lowered the derision in your voice when you spoke to him.
“Right. And tell me, how does one only faint a little?” Regulus sneered.
You met him head on, grunting “Knock it off, Regulus. I mean it.”
Remus noticed a slight quiver in your lip, but you stood your ground. He couldn’t say he completely disagreed with Regulus, but he didn’t think shouting at you like this was particularly helpful.
“Dove, we’re only worried about you. It makes us nervous if you’re not taking care of yourself and we don’t know about it, if we at least knew-” He tried, but you scoffed again, but this time at Remus.
“Of course you’d side with him. I don’t need the two of you looking after me!”
“Well apparently you do.” Regulus barked. You didn’t bother dignifying that with an answer.
“Can we just talk about this later, please?” You asked quietly, eyes turning towards the table.
“No, we’re talking about this now. Because Salazar only knows what I’ll be hearing from Pandora next!”
“Maybe I didn’t say anything because this is exactly how I knew you would act.” You glowered at him.
“Are you even supposed to be out of the infirmary yet? What were Madame Pomfrey’s instructions?” Regulus demanded.
“I’m not doing this right now. You’re acting-”
“What were the matron’s instructions?” He asked again, voice threateningly low.
“Stop it, Regulus, I'm ser-”
“When I ask a question, you answer me.” Regulus ordered; voice booming and full of authority.
You paused in packing up your bag to look at Regulus, holding his gaze as if daring him to utter another word. The atmosphere went from the heat of battle to ice cold in a matter of seconds.
Remus took one last look at Regulus, knowing this would be it; this was how they would lose Regulus. He’d have to tell Sirius that his brother was dead, and it was just better if they all moved on. Cause of death? Oh, Y/N burnt him to ashes with nothing but a glare.
You dropped your bag back onto the table and took a step towards Regulus, dropping into a verydramatic curtsey, making sure Regulus watched.
“Yes, Master Regulus.” You sneered with contempt before returning to your full height, eyes still never leaving Regulus’. “I seem to have forgotten myself. I live to serve the Noble and Most Ancient House of Black.”
And with that, you snatched your book bag and left the study room, slamming the door behind you.
Remus was admittedly very surprised everyone survived this ordeal, though he took a moment to examine Regulus’ form.
“Well...” Remus started. “You’re not bleeding.”
Regulus let out a breath he’d been holding and sunk into his chair. “I don’t...I don’t understand. Was I wrong?”
Remus felt like this may have been a trick question. “Well, I don’t think you were right.”
Regulus looked over miserably at that, eyes begging Remus for comfort. Remus unfortunately couldn’t give it.
“I’m sorry, love. You went too far.”
“I should go after her.” Regulus sighed, looking like he was thinking of getting up.
“Do you value your life?”
“Remus...”
“You need to let her cool off, Reg.”
“But-”
“I mean it, Regulus.” Remus said sternly, raising his eyebrows at the shorter boy. “You were too angry to see it but she was very upset – probably even more so if she’s already not feeling well.”
Regulus crossed his arms not unlike a petulant child being told they weren’t allowed to have a cookie before supper.
“Fine, but soon it won’t just be Y/N I have to convince to forgive me.”
Remus, completely unsympathetic to his boyfriend’s grumblings, smirked as he took out his homework.
“Well, perhaps that’s what you get for acting like your father.”
Regulus let out a very inelegant groan and let his head fall onto the table with a thunk.
Tumblr media
Everyone had their person, for better or for worse. Sirius had James, Regulus had Pandora, Remus had Lily, and you...well, you had Barty.
And perhaps whatever Barty lacked in terms of critical thinking skills and sanity, he made up for in terms of loyalty and enthusiasm.
You knocked on the door to Barty’s dorm from the hallway when you heard a muffled “occupado!” through the wood.
“Barty? It's me.” You called quietly, hearing the sound of a locking charm being lifted from the door immediately.
You pushed open the door to see Barty laying back against his pillow with a cigarette in his hand and Evan Rosier laying on top of him with a book as he read.
“Hiya, treasure. Where’d ya leave Reggie?” Barty asked, blowing smoke away from Evan’s book.
“We got into a fight.” You admitted quietly.
Suddenly, Barty’s cigarette was flicked towards the fireplace and Evan was, very roughly and unceremoniously, dumped from his lap.
“Ah! Fuckin’ hells Junior, what was that for?” Evan muttered as he rubbed the back of his head, standing from his newfound place on the floor.
“Out! I need time with my beloved!” Barty squawked, sitting up further against the headboard and opening his arms for you as an invitation.
“Wha- what do you mean? I’m your sodding boyfriend!” Evan beseeched. Barty spared the boy a glance at that.
“Exactly, you’re only my boyfriend, Y/N is my soulmate. Now out with you.” He dismissed, returning his eyes to you.
You (somewhat meekly as you passed Evan) made your way over and crawled into Barty’s lap as Evan let himself out of the dorm room (his own dorm room, mind you).
“Alright, my sweet treasure, spill. What are his crimes?” He murmured into the top of your head.
“He yelled at me.” You said meekly, voice turning up at the end as you felt tears well in your eyes.
“Dementor’s kiss.” He proclaimed without hesitation. “Egregious, absolutely horrific crime.”
“Barty...” You moaned.
“What? I’m not kidding, I want him dead. Yelling at my sweet girl like that. For shame.”
You let out a sigh as the first few tears fell onto Barty’s shirt. You knew he was seriously hurt on your behalf for not saying anything about ruining his silk button up.
“What reason could he possibly have had to yell at you?” He murmured again into your hair, rocking you back and forth.
“I fainted... in class today.” You admitted with a grimace.
As you expected, Barty paused in his movements and lifted you up off of his body to examine you.
“Fainted!?” He hollered. “How, treasure?”
You groaned and leaned forward, wanting to hide your face in Barty’s chest again. Thankfully, he allowed you to do so.
“I don’t know...Madame Pomfrey said it could be a few things. Not enough sleep, not eating enough, stress.”
“And he yelled at you for that?”
“Well...sort of.”
Barty hummed in acknowledgement but allowed you to sit in silence as he rubbed circles onto your back.
“He was mad because he found out from Pandora.” You admitted.
“Hmm, sounds like Regulus felt stupid. Not an easy task, sweets, Salazar knows I’ve tried.” Barty determined.
“How do you mean?” you asked into his chest.
“He just always seems to know the answers when I-”
“Not that, Barty!”
“He didn’t know you had fainted, and it sounds like he perhaps didn’t even realize you were unwell. He would have thought that made him look like a fool, which it does.” He explained, lacing the words at the end of his sentence with disdain.
“Barty...” you chided.
“I mean, come on treasure; you have two boyfriends, and one of them is a Slytherin! You’re telling me neither of them noticed their most perfect, sweetest angel was struggling? Foolish. You can’t blame Lupin, though, he is a Gryffindor after all; hanging with the likes of those oafs ought to cost him a couple brain cells each day. Hey, listen... you say the word and you and Lupin are more than welcome to shack up with me and Evan.”
“Barty!”
“I’m just saying!” He yielded, holding his hands up in surrender. His faux-serious façade fell away when he noticed the corner of your lips quirk into a smile.
“I’m sorry he yelled at you.” He offered.
You half sighed half groaned as you fell back into Barty’s chest.
“I guess he was just worried about me...” You relented.
“Yes. But don’t make it easy on him, okay? It’s fun to see the sod sweat every now and again.”
Tumblr media
“Regulus...I don’t know if this is a good idea. I really think we should let her come to us.” Remus muttered quietly from behind Regulus, but he wasn’t having any of it.
This had gone on too long, in Regulus’ opinion. You were hiding in Barty’s dorm room whilst Regulus stayed in Remus’, and while he loved Remus, he hated Gryffindor, and he missed you.
“Enough is enough, Remus. I want her back.” Regulus declared as he stepped up to his door and banged on the back of it none too gently.
“Junior!” He barked through the door. “I want my girlfriend back!”
“No one’s home!” Barty called through the door.
Regulus rolled his eyes so far back into his head even he was sure they were going to get stuck there.
He put his hand on the door handle and was hit immediately with a localized stinging jinx, causing him to rip his hand back off of it and hold it to his chest protectively.
“Ow! Fuck Junior, what did you do!?” He called through the door.
“Leave a message!”
“Oh, I’ll leave you a message alright.” Regulus spat.
“Dovey?” Remus tried calling gently through the door. “Can we come in? Please?”
It was quiet for a moment before Barty answered for you. “No.”
Remus shared an eyeroll of his own before cautiously touching the doorknob – apparently it had only been cursed against Regulus.
“Okay, I’m opening the door.” Remus warned.
“I wouldn’t do that! I’m shagging your girl in here.” Barty called.
Regulus watched Remus’ face and knew two things to be true: that Remus was 97% sure that wasn’t true, and that Moony was very worried about that 3%. Ultimately, it appeared that Moony had won, causing Remus to barrel into the room rather ungraciously.
Barty was sat in a chair with his feet kicked up on a desk and a book in his hand, which he lowered to examine the two intruders casually.
“That was very rude, you know. What would you have done if the lady had been indecent.” Barty scolded, using his book to point at your curled up form on Regulus’ bed, pointedly facing away from Remus and Regulus.
Regulus felt his heart crack painfully at the sight, sharing a look with Remus who gave him an encouraging nod.
“Amour?” Regulus called gently, moving around the side of the bed in an attempt to see you. His heart cracked again when you hid your face in your arm.
“Please, my love. I’m...I’m so sorry.” He pleaded, kneeling down in front of you and cautiously stroking your arm. “I should never have spoken to you like that, I...I was wrong. And rude. And out of line. I’m sorry. Please? Please look at me, mon amour, laisse-moi arranger ça?”
You turned your head up at that, and the final splinter that carved Regulus’ heart into two was the tear stains on your cheeks.
“Oh, mon amour, je suis vraiment désolé. Je suis le pire, je suis vraiment désolé.”
“Your fancy sweet talk won’t do you any good here, Black!” Barty hollered from his place across the room. “I’ve already told her that she and Lupin are more than welcome down here with me.” He added with a lascivious wink in Remus’ direction.
Regulus could see Remus’ cheeks pink at the compliment, but he also gulped at the threat.
“Say it ain’t so, mon amour.” He said to you, caressing your arm with one hand and delicately taking yours in his other, bringing it to his lips for a delicate kiss. “Is it finally happening, are you going to leave me for another? Surely you can do better than Junior, non?”
Regulus’ heart sped up almost double time as you offered him a watery smile. “No.”
“No? You can’t do better than Junior?” He teased.
You rolled your eyes as you sniffled and tried to wipe some of your tears away. “No, I’m not leaving you, you sod.”
“Oh, thank gods.” Regulus sighed dramatically, letting his head fall into the bed in front of him. He heard you chuckle above him, and you moved your hand into his hair, gently massaging his scalp.
“Oi! How come he gets head scratches for being a wanker and I get jilted?” Remus pouted from the middle of the room.
“Oh, come here lover boy.” Barty cooed at him, opening his arms and spreading his legs to make room from the lycanthrope.
Remus let out an awkward ‘erm’ from the middle of the room before you chuckled and invited Remus to join you for his own head scratches.
He opted to curl up behind you as the big spoon and wrap his arms protectively around your middle, adding his hand to Regulus’ shoulder as he still knelt on the floor at the head of the bed. Perhaps not the best angle for head scratches, but he was clearly very happy with his current predicament.
“Right then; have either of you tossers seen Rosier?” Barty asked as he stood from his chair.
“Common room.” Remus and Regulus answered in unison.
“Thanks.” He said as he made his way to the door. “Stay out of the bathroom for a while, yeah? I owe that sod so many blowjobs after all of this.”

i can see you (up against the wall with me)
(i haven't slammed repeat on a song in awhile, I Can See You from Speak Now (Taylors Version) is a certified banger and this...slipped out.
please enjoy a slytherin! sirius, wolfstar au)
-
Remus had initially approached this Herbology assignment as a business arrangement, nothing more, nothing left, completely annoyed and frustrated at being paired with Sirius Black. But in a NEWT class so small, many of his classmates dropping out after sixth year and realizing the work required and that Herbology wasn't, in fact, an easy O as they had anticipated, leaving the class nearly empty.
Just Remus
A few Hufflepuffs, a Ravenclaw by the name of Turpin.
and Sirius Black.
With his stupid handsome face and dark curly hair and casually cool, effortlessly aloof expression. Sirius looked as if he had never worried about a damn thing in his life and Remus pulled at the threads of his uniform every opportunity he got. Though, it was much harder to do so with his arms elbow deep in a potted plant, Sirius beside him writing up the report due within the next few days.
"How does the soil feel?" Sirius asked.
"Like soil, bloody disgusting..."
The corners of Sirius's mouth turned up slightly, not even enough to make a crease in his face. Barely there. But Remus saw it, and oh.
"Clay, sandy, loam..."
"That's a made up word," Remus said, trying to focus on kneading the bottom of the plant gently to check for any stray moving roots or insects, cursing himself for taking Herbology in the first place. Even if the years of gardening with his Mum had paid off finally.
"We've been learning about loam for two weeks."
"I said the word sounded made up, not the concept," Remus countered and the corners of Sirius's mouth twitched again. He shook his head and Remus's heart flipped, watching a stray dark curl fall out of the ponytail Sirius was wearing and fall in front of his eyes.
Oh.
"So conceptually, is it loam or...?"
"Clay loam," Remus told him, gently setting the plant back in the pot, and wiping his hands on a nearby towel. He watched as Sirius's eyebrows drew together softly, as he concentrated on the questions in front of him, writing out each word carefully in neat cursive. Despite wanting it to be a business arrangement--Remus assuming the worst from a boy in Slytherin with the last name Black who scarcely spoke to anyone in school and hadn't given anyone a reason to trust him, half of his peers walking around with marks on their arms--the plan had failed miserably. Not only did Remus realize Black was exceptionally adept at Herbology, but he was pleasant. He was easy to work with. He was exceptionally good looking and Remus found himself staring every moment he could, desperate for more. Imagining what it would be like to have Sirius's clipped fingernails and broad hands palming the back of his neck and touching his hipbones.
I’ve been watching you for ages and I spend my time trying not to feel it
Remus was beside himself, and delusional, trying to find excuses to talk to Sirius once the business arrangement was over, and feeling foolish as he did so.
Except.
Sirius would brush past him in the hallway, a broad shoulder skimming against his during passing periods and Remus wanted to taste the aftershave on Sirius's neck.
Sirius would send him whisper smiles in Herbology.
In Potions.
Every opportunity for a glance in each others direction became an opportunity for a secret smile, or a wink, grey eyes twinkling with nothing but trouble. Thats all Sirius Black was. Trouble. Not someone Remus wanted to mix himself up with in his final year, in the beginnings of a war. There was already talk of secret societies being orchestrated by Dumbledore; already reports in the Daily Prophet and resources for people who wanted to help. Remus knew he already had a target on his back as a werewolf, people unsure whether to trust him and getting involved with Sirius Black wouldn't help the cause any.
But then Remus would look up from his textbook in the library, and see Sirius Black at a table alone, looking straight back. A quick tilt of a dark eyebrow, asking--no daring-- Remus to move. Remus tapped his fingers on the desk, not breaking eye contact, the two engaged in the staring contest of the century, both determined not to break. He was just about to swallow his pride, his ego, and surrender to bravery when Sirius stood up from his table, casually walking over to Remus, silver and green tie loose around his neck, somehow still managing to look refined and not disheveled like the rest of the population.
Remus opened his mouth when Sirius got within earshot, to attempt a greeting. A hey. A I'm losing the ability to control myself. A stop looking at me like that, please.
A what would you do if they never found us out?
Sirius put his hand flat on the table, looking down at Remus, tilting his head to the side, "Hey."
"Hello."
"We make a good team."
"What?"
"We got an O on our Mimulus aurantiacus."
"Oh. Yeah," Remus said lamely, scooting back in his chair to avoid having to strain his neck to look up at Sirius. It was too close, it was too much. Remus could see every dark eyelash and the beauty mark below Sirius's left eye; his crooked eyetooth and the planes of his face and the warmth of his skin. Remus would put money on Sirius's expanses skin being able to keep him warm, thaw every chill in Remus's body, imagining what it would be like to be pressed into a mattress underneath Sirius.
What would you do if I went to touch you now?
And then Sirius gave him that smile, the corner raising higher than it ever had and Remus's breathing hitched at the sight. This boy was beyond intoxicating, more potent than any shot of firewhiskey had had ever taken.
"Don't want to talk to me anymore, Lupin?" Sirius asked, as teasing tone in his voice, "Project over and you can't be seen with me?"
"I..what...do you want to talk about?"
"I don't. Not really."
"...So I should...mind my own business?"
"Not that either," Sirius said, and bent down lower, leaning all the way across the table and Remus could feel his face flush. It was late enough that the library was nearly empty, close to curfew and students had mostly cleared out. Madame Pince was likely in the back and closing for the evening. And then there was Sirius, with his lips skimming the shell of Remus's ear as he spoke. "Can you be quiet, Lupin?" he whispered.
"I think so."
What would you do if we never made a sound?
"Good, because Merlin knows I have not stopped thinking about you," Sirius said, standing up once more. "I'll see you outside."
I can see you, waiting down the hall for me.
The next day, Remus turned the corner out Ancient Runes, instantly spotting Sirius leaning one shoulder against the wall, his expensive leather bag over the other. The whisper smile that first caught Remus's attention flickering, as if the other boy was unable to stop it at the sight of Remus, both of them remembering the night before.
An abandoned hallway, just shy of the library, hidden behind tapestries and staircases, the two of them ignoring both bells of warning for curfew.
One of Remus's hands above his head, plastered to the wall with the rest of of his body as Sirius kissed him roughly. Endlessly. Wanting to steal every attempt at conversation and word Remus could possibly offer and Remus let him. Sirius Black did not kiss nice and Remus wouldn't have had it any other way.
I can see you, up against the wall with me.
It was bold.
Exhilarating.
Remus finally answering Sirius's eyebrow of a dare and pushing robes off the other boys shoulders, throwing them to the ground, their feet caught in a heap of dark fabric. Stepping on toes and unable to get enough of each other.
"How quiet can you be, Lupin?" Sirius asked, his voice low. His hands on the buckle of Remus's belt.
"Very."
"Let's see about that..."
They keep watchful eyes on us
It's best that we move fast and keep quiet
Remus inhaled as he walked by Sirius with his friends, shoulders brushing, fingers touching for the tiniest of moments, the two of them lost in a fantasy together. Sirius cocked his head to the side, just enough for Remus to see the deep red bruise on his neck poking out of the top of his shirt collar.
What would you do, baby, if you knew? That I can see you.

Lovegood reader with Remus and Sirius? She sees a skrunky wolf man and a big ol black dog. Gives them be best head pats and will lay their heads in her lap as she talks about potions to Remus (despite his wolf form) and telling Sirius she finds his fur rather soft
I can totally see Lovegood!Reader one day after class or someday out of the blue and completely out of pocket just walking up to Remus and stating that he is in fact a werewolf. Like, they don’t even ask or inquire about it, they just state it with absolute conviction that Remus is left trying to process whether they in fact found out that he is an actual werewolf or if they were instead just appointing him as a werewolf. But after that one incident it’s never brought up again, even when Remus does try to explain things or bring it up to the Reader they don’t acknowledge it and it takes a bit for Remus to realize that this is just how they’re going about keeping his secret by not acknowledging it ever again.
It’s safe to say though that Lovegood!Reader would spend a good chunk of their time with Remus when he comes to work at Hogwarts, always visiting him in between classes or staying after class even if it’s just to sit and watch Remus go about preparing for the next class or grading homework. And Remus catches himself enjoying the Reader’s company, even if they don’t chat much and are just quietly there in their own little world, he doesn’t mind. I can also see Lovegood!Reader, whether consciously picking up on it or not, sensing how truly lonely Remus is and that’s why they visit him or stay with him for a time here and there.
Leave it to a Lovegood to cross paths with an escaped criminal or the omen of death and make friends with them. I can’t help but imagine that in Harry’s third year when Sirius escapes and is on the run, Lovegood!Reader comes across a mangy black dog who doesn’t come off as being so friendly during a Hogsmeade trip that they most definitely strayed away from (this was probably why the idea of a child leash was brought up). You can’t tell me that Lovegood!Reader wouldn’t have ‘if it’s friend shaped then it must be a friend’ mentality written all over them. And that’s exactly what they see when they have this mangy black dog growling and baring it’s teeth at them coupled with a wild look in its eye. Sirius couldn’t be more relieved when the Reader leaves only for them to comeback some time later with an arm full of warm food, blankets and pillows. Do they know who he is? What he is? Or is this just someone under the belief they’re caring for some random mangy stray? Either way, he’s secretly grateful for the goods they brought him.
Before he realizes it, Sirius has the Reader checking up on and continuing to bring him things during their Hogsmeade visits. It takes him sometime to feel comfortable or trusting enough to reveal who he really is (if they haven’t told anyone anything thus far then it should be alright, right?) and honestly he couldn’t have been more disappointed and relieved at the reaction he got, or rather the lack of. I just love the thought of Lovegood!Reader not having much or any reaction to him not only not being a an average stray dog but also being an escaped convicted criminal as well. They’re just like, “Okay🤷🏼‍♀️”. Also, you can’t tell me that Lovegood!Reader wouldn’t totally brush Sirius’ fur in his dog form, even long after he’s revealed who he is. Whenever the Reader brings the brush out he immediately transforms into his dog form and allows them to brush away to their hearts content. And you know damn well he revels in the pampering, both due to having not had any real physical contact let alone a gentle touch in so many years and desperately craving some much needed attention/affection.
Also, Sirius and Remus would definitely grow very attached to receiving head pats and hair ruffles from the Reader. I mean both men are completely touch starved and in need of some form of tender, love and care. The Reader would just be an utter godsend with their unconditional affection. Lovegood!Reader would always give some sort of affection to Sirius in his dog form since the first time they met and that wouldn’t change whatsoever in his human form either. Meanwhile for Remus, after the Reader confronted him about his being a werewolf they would always take to patting his head after that. Whether they it was in passing in the corridors or before and after class (whether it was their class or they just pooped in during another class to do so), the Reader would never fail to make a point to pat his head. Hell, they’ve even done it in front of other professors and even Dumbledore. I can’t help but imagine this short student on their tippy toes trying to reach out and pat Remus’ head only for him to embarrassingly give in and lower himself enough for them to achieve their endeavors. And at first, Remus is absolutely and utterly embarrassed, having on multiple times tried to get the Reader to stop doing that but when they actually did end up stopping or at least lessening the amount of head pats they gave him, Remus didn’t take too well without them. Especially when a full moon was rearing its ugly head. So he just came to accept the head pats as they were and happily took all that were given to him.
Can we just take a moment to talk about everyone else’s reaction to not only Lovegood!Reader patting a literal werewolf on the head when Remus ends up transforming but also having befriended a literal criminal who was believed to have been out to kill Harry? Literally everyone would be mortified, sure things end up working out in the end and Sirius is actually good but still! Hermione especially would be absolutely scolding the hell out of the Reader and going on and on about how dangerous it all was and the severity of what could have happened if Sirius was in fact a literal killer and out to murder again. Don’t even get her started on the werewolf bit. Meanwhile, Luna can only gingerly grab her sibling’s hand and gently smack the top of it, not dealing any real hurt or anything but similar to what you would do to a child who did something they weren’t supposed to. Honestly, this would only further prove to the people/other yanderes in the Reader’s life that they need to be protected at all costs and heavily supervised 25/8.

I should’ve stayed in.
I should’ve known better, really. But it seems I didn’t.
Malfoy always has a way of getting under everyone’s skin- and it seems that the older he gets, the less afraid he is of doing so in front of teachers. You should’ve been more cautious getting into arguments with him in the middle of a class.
“Malfoy, L/n, you two separate yourselves right now.” Professor McGonagall scolds, glaring at where Malfoy stood in front of my seat. He had that same devilish grin on his face, even as I’m glaring up at him from my chair.
“Sit down, Malfoy.” I say flatly, but he doesn’t budge.
“And what are you gonna do, hm? I have no reason to be threatened by someone like,” he takes the time to look my up and down, not hiding the grimace to follow, “you.”
“Then why don’t you go sit down?,” I quip, “no one’s asking you to stay, the only reason I see is you’re enjoying it.” I see quickly how his grin drops, and he’s glaring right back at me now.
“Is that your best comeback? As if I’d ever enjoy being near you,” he seethes, and I stand up with my hands running down my face.
“You are so exhausting-“ I groan, only to feel a sudden shove against my shoulder. I snap my head towards him again. What is he trying to do?
“You filthy little-“
“Don’t touch me,”
“Draco! L/n! Back to your seats at once!” McGonagall shouts, the click of her boots taking a few quick steps closer before stopping. I don’t look at her, because Draco is already shoving me back again. His face is scrunched into a look of disgust, and anger, and I can only imagine mine looks somewhat similar.
I’m shoving him back before I can think, my mind ticking, yelling at me to not let him walk away proudly.
Bursts of different voices, small gasps, are around me as Draco is lunging forward pathetically. His brain is racing the same way mine is- but i only get a second to try and block his hands before he’s backing me up towards the wall.
I grab his shoulders, trying to pry him off me, but my back collides with a shelf and my head gets thrown back against something,
The pain sends a jolt through my body, something all too familiar, but it’s too late.
My eyes surge, and I feel the bones in my shoulders cracking against each other while I fall. Draco is somewhere in front of me, stumbling to the ground, and Ms. McGonagall shouts again from across the room.
“Shit.”
My heart is pounding, my hands are sweaty, but all I can feel from my racing mind is anger.
Before he can come at me again, I stumble to my feet again and run out of the room as quickly as possible. Professor McGonagall yells at me, but I can’t hear her anymore. My ears throb as they grow, stretching and pointing at the ends.
My back arches into its new form, hairs poking my skin as they grow rapidly. Bones give a sickening crack as they move inside of me, my legs unable to hold me up. And I can’t stop it- because my mind is hollering and it’s too late to pull myself back now.
A snarl echoes from the throat, fangs poking my gums. It hurts, it always does- but this time it got too close.
My classmates could’ve seen me- they nearly did.
Long claws make an ugly noise as they scratch the floor beneath me, I probably look psychotic stumbling across the floor trying to regain control of myself again.
I want to hit him- I want to keep that ugly smirk off his face.
My hands curl into a fist, and I feel the stinging pain of claws scraping the palms of my hands. The painful red that follows feels warm on my skin, I keep my hand still until the pain begins to keep the rest of me still.
My hitched breathing is loud, but slowly I feel my nails dulling, pulling out of my skin. I let out a gasp, face beginning to shift back to its original shape.
My jaw throbs, and my fingers become sore as I desperately try to pull my self back into place. Bones are snapping, returning to normal while I struggle to hold myself up any longer.
Heavy breathes fall, but I barely recognize them. My ears dull until they’re no longer long and pointed, my eyes fade from the sharp yellow back to e/c.
“No, no no no,” I plead.
“….y/n?”
I snap my eyes up to the new voice, and freeze when I see Professor Lupin staring at me wide-eyed.
He analyzes my shaking figure, and he looks at me differently… almost understandingly.
I scramble to my feet again, stumbling away from him.
“Wait!” He calls out, but I sprint away before he can follow.
It’s all ruined.
***
The next day, I refuse to leave the dorms.
I slept in my closet last night, too afraid that one of my dorm mates would walk in and look at me the same way everyone else did before.
About halfway through the morning hour, there’s a tapping at my window- and I recognize F/n’s owl, Ares, staring at me through the glass. F/n sent a note.
I don’t want to read it. But I do- all it asks is where I am.
I slide down the wall slowly, letting the note fall to the floor beside me. I feel so tired.
Gosh- I was doing such a good job before. Whenever my anger would get the best of me, I’d find solace in an old closet or something, curl my hand into a fist so tightly it would unravel with red staining the palm. It would keep me stable- I had it under control.
But now?
.
.
A knock sounds from the door.
I don’t want to answer it.
I stare at it for a while, maybe I should. Maybe it’s F/n.
Eventually, I do open it.
Standing on the other side, is Professor Lupin, and I immediately freeze. What is he doing here?
The look he gave me yesterday flashes in my mind, the understanding, the empathy. He speaks before I do, much to my relief.
“May I come in?” He asks, and I hesitantly step to the side. He enters carefully, finding a spot towards the center of the room, and I sit down on the foot of my bed awkwardly.
“Look, professor-“ I try, only to be interrupted.
“It’s ok, I know.”
“…what do you think you know..?”
He sighs, looking round the room, as if searching for the right words. I watch cautiously.
“…I was about 4 years old, when I was turned.” He says- my eyes widen. Turned? Does that mean-?
“What..?”
“Well, that’s what you are, right,” he looks at me pointedly, “a werewolf?”
My heart stops when he says the word. Werewolf.
He knows- he not only knows, but he is one, and I almost can’t believe my ears.
“You’re…you’re one too?”
Lupin nods, doesn’t even hesitate. Another sigh, before he continues.
“When I was bit, it was in means of revenge. I was used to get back at my father, and it’s affected my life ever since.”
Lupin paces the room when he talks, taking slow steps across the carpet. I feel a bit bad, knowing the burden of this curse. Professor Lupin looks at me again.
“It took me years to learn how to control it-  and if you’ll let me,” I can tell where this is going, “I want to help you learn as well.”
I pause, trying to think. I can learn to control it, to live with it. That’s all I’ve ever wanted.
“…you’ll help me?” I ask quietly, looking up at him. His face softens slightly, and he nods.
“Of course.”
I don’t know what to say. He asks how old I was when I got bit, I tell him. 8 years old, on a camping trip with my mother and step dad. My mom didn’t know what to do, my step dad (at the time) hadn’t even warmed up to me much yet. I was left to face it alone.
Professor Lupin’s eyebrows furrow slightly, and he nods.
“So you had no parents to help you?” He asks, and I nod shyly. I almost don’t want to look at him, avoiding his gaze head on.
“It was kind of hard to, uh, connect with my step dad after that…”
He nods in understanding. I look away.
“Well, how about this,” he doesn’t step much closer to me, and I look at him curiously, “do you know what triggers it.”
I nod once more, bending my fingers around each other on my lap.
“Yeah, uh, my anger is…” I clear my throat, “yeah.”
“Great, then we’ll start there.” He says, as if it was an obvious fact. “Meet me after classes tomorrow, preferably by my classroom. That’s when we’ll start.” He begins to walk towards the door again, and I watch him. It’s so new, I’ve never even told people about such a burden before, yet here I am. Before he can leave, I stand up from my bed.
“Wait, professor.”
He turns to me curiously.
“…thank you.”
***
The first “lesson” was a bit of a messy one.
He asks me how I currently handle my anger, and I hesitantly look at the scars littering my palm and the heel of my hand.
“Ah, I see…” he trails off. I nod.
“Yeah…”
By the second lesson, he’s telling me what happens in my brain when I’m angry- and how to keep calm.
“It’ll sound like a cliche, but controlling your breathing.”
“Definitely sounds like a cliche.”
“Yeah, well, it works, sit down”.
By the 5th lesson I’m already sensing a difference in how I’m feeling- it’s like my body is more relaxed, my brain isn’t as high wired as it used to be.
But I’m weren’t sure- until I got tested.
It wasn’t Draco Malfoy this time, though they were close in obnoxiousness. A Ravenclaw, by the name of Riley, continuously pestering me after getting paired up for a project together. She followed me down the halls after class, ignoring all my attempts to brush her off.
Can’t she take a hint?
I turn another corner down the corridor, and she tells me once again how lazy I am. I feel myself getting more frustrated, heart beating faster, and I stop walking in the middle of the hallway. When I turn ti look at her she has the face of someone who just got fired from work- and I want to tell her that no one riles her up as much as she does to herself.
The first throb in my gums, I freeze, and turn away quickly. Her voice stops, thank god, and I feel her curious gaze burning holes into my back.
“It doesn’t matter,” I tell myself, “it’s all cool.”
I close my eyes, blocking the memory of her voice, and let my breathing slow until it’s balanced enough for me to no longer feel the ache in my jaw.
My eyes open again, I’m normal.
I’m normal- holy shit. A grin spreads across my face and I check my hands just in case- nothing. My body didn’t change at all.
I whip around, not looking at Riley even as she throws another comment my way.
“Uh huh, yeah.” Is all i manage before I’m pushing past her and starting to jog down the hall.
“I did it,” I say to myself, “I did it!”
I’m basically running by the time I’ve made it to Professor Lupin’s classroom, knocking on the large wooden door a few times before he answers.
“Y/n?”
I grin at him. “I did it!” I exclaim, “I did it- I controlled it!”
His face begins to light up, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.
“What?”
I step into his room, but still spin around to face him. My cheeks are beginning to hurt from my smile but I don’t falter.
“I controlled myself, Lupin, i didn’t even change at all!”
His smile grows and he looks at me. “That’s wonderful, I’m so-“
Before he finishes, I step forward and hug him.
I didn’t even expect to, I just feel myself wrapping my arms around his torso and grinning like a mad man against his coat. His arms lay against my back in return in a  fatherly embrace, so simple yet I could never miss it.
“Thank you” I say, and he smiles above me.
“Of course, Y/n.”

WOLFSTAR X READER SERIES
Gilded Constellations | THE INTERLUDE Part 2
Tumblr media
Summary: You meet Sirius and Regulus at a family vacation in the Caribbean, but things don't go as planned and you end up losing contact once the trip is over. Years later your family moves to England and you get accepted at Hogwarts where you finally see Sirius once again, along with all of his friends. One of them with a mysterious secret, that you'll uncover as you embark on your own Hogwarts adventure. Mostly canon-compliant. This IS a wolfstar x reader fic, but it's incredibly slow burn. They won't start all dating each other until we're very deep into the story, but I promise the long wait will be worth it.

Series Masterlist | Previous episode | The first Interlude
You guys know I wanted to make another interlude, but upon lack of time, and because I don't want to have you wait another week to read the next chapter (darling @aremuslupinsimp for sure needs someone to vent about the absolute rollercoaster of emotions that it is) I've decided to make it a WEEKL-LONG EVENT!
But Lilly, What does that mean? It means you can send as many questions as you might have and I'll try to address all of them within the week. Including anything related to last week, this week's, and the next week's chapter (although I will not spoil that one).
Adding a few questions here, just as a start:
Have you always known where the story is going or have you kind of figured it out along the way? do you have the ending planned?
Hey love! I do have a base idea of where GC is going. I've had these big plot points thought out from the very beginning to the part where they all start dating. Having said that, a lot of things that happen in the story, and that are in between those points, are just me letting my imagination soar, and a lot of those chapters end up being some of my favourites.
I wanted to end the story either before they end school or before 1981, but now that I've gotten so attached to the characters, I've honestly thought of writing past that, and "fixing" some of the things that happen in canon. But who knows, that's like a whole other fic just on how much plot it would have.
SoIi can’t really remeber if the ‘prank’ that Sirius pulled on Snape had already happened in Gilded Constellations, if it hasn’t will it be happening or will it just get skipped over?
It's happened already (in 5th year). That's the reason Snape is weary about leaving Vixen in the Shack in "Bad Moon Rising". He knew she would be in danger because there was a werewolf inside. He couldn't say anything to them because of the young twisting charm Dumbledore put on him, and he's never been brave enough to stand up to the other Slytherins, so he went straight to Lily and told her Vix was in danger.
That's why Lily knew about Vixen being in danger when Sirius showed up with a fox in his hands and was livid about it.
Tu penses prévoir combien de chapitre pour GC si tu sais sinon si tu sais pas une estimation de chapitre que tu aimerais écrire pour GC ?
I'm terrible with estimations, originally it was going to be a short 5 chapter-long series. And then I wanted to end it at thirty, and then at forty. So far I've written 55 chapters, but I'm thinking of ending before chapter 70. (That's IF I don't get carried away).
Do we get to know if Sirus ever got that necklace back from the first few chapters?
Oh, the necklace is still on Vix's neck and it's going to be HUGE in the next couple of chapters. I've been building on is for a while and I'm really excited about it finally happening.
How is it going with Remus' and reader's fireworms?
They are amazing! They've implemented a whole system that helps them get fed automatically. They're probably going to ace that test.
Are we seeing more to Nina?
Definitely.
After they come back from winter break will the study group start again?
I mean, there're going to be a LOT of things happening after the Winter Break, but I assume yes. Also the reading club, the reading club is going to happen.
How long do we have to wait 'till Remus, Reader and Sirius go out?
I think I'm about one or two chapters away from writing that, but I'm a few chapters ahead. But it's waaay less than before.
Does Nina have a little crush on Reader or is it just me?
I mean, there's a reason why the ribbon she tied on her quidditch gear was enough to defend Vix from Barty's spell. And why, more than once, Nina's love has proven to be a strong protective spell over the reader.
Are we getting more lessons like some of the first chapters?
Yup, not very soon, since the next few chapters will all be happening over the winter break, but once they're back in school, certainly.
Further questions will be answered directly on asks as they come.
Tumblr media
I'm really excited about the questions I might get, also a bit terrified about the questions I'll get after Chapter 44, but of well, the show must go on.
Love ya lots, Lils xx

What do you think was the immediate aftermath to the “Prank”? I actually do think Sirius was remorseful for what he did at the time(I think his attitude in PoA could be explained by how he was in Azkaban all those years, had to survive on very little, and was just not in a good place to process his past properly at the time. And he does acknowledge that he acted poorly during SWM, so I feel like with time he would realize that he could’ve handled those situations better- even if Snape could be a dick lol. At a certain point someone has to take the high road XD), but I think it still would have taken a while for Remus to forgive him or for the group to go back to the way it was. But if I’m being honest, I feel like the group never really went back to the way it was when we consider how both Remus and Sirius thought the other was a spy :/. I also think that James would have been put in a hard spot, because he’s incredibly loyal to his friends, and Sirius is(let’s face it lol) his favorite, but this “prank” could have gone very wrong in so many different ways and I feel that James may have been able to recognize more than Sirius at first.
(I also don’t understand why JKR would place SWM after “The Prank” because why on earth would James and Sirius continue to antagonize Snape to that extent when he now knows one of their best friend’s deepest and darkest secret(and there couldn’t have been anything magical keeping Snape from saying anything, seeing as he gives away the secret in Book 3)? But I digress lol(although I will say that one minor change I make for myself is imagining the Prank as happening after SWM since that makes more sense to me)
I have so many thoughts on “The Prank” mainly because while I love Sirius(and I do think his good qualities outweigh his bad ones), this situation showcases one of his biggest flaws(he can be reckless to the point where other people can/are at the risk of getting seriously hurt or worse) and I just find it really interesting to explore that and how it would have affected the Marauders and their dynamic at the time
Oooh boy do I have THOUGHTS about the Prank and SWM. I'm actually very okay with SWM happening after the Prank. It shows that James and Sirius took a LONG time to grow and were still dicks late into their fifth year. But let's get to the fun!
Immediate aftermath of the Prank:
I wholeheartedly agree that the group was never the same after the Prank. I think the Marauders were always on thin ice or precarious ground, and it was only because of James that they were all together. Sirius and James were like magnets for each other. James picked up the underdog, Remus, and Remus brought in the super underdog, Peter. That's not to say that Sirius didn't care for Remus and Peter, but everything in canon suggests that Sirius was a Prongs fangirl, not a Moony or Wormtail fangirl.
But let's get to the Prank. Snape thought something was up with Lupin. I believe Sirius thought one of two things: 1) fuck around and find out, and 2) he's not actually stupid enough to go whomping willow/werewolf hunting. There is definitely some blame on Severus for following through, but it's more on Sirius for underestimating Severus and potentially ruining Remus's life. Because it was James who pulled Severus back, Sirius probably felt more remorse than had it been someone else.
I believe that after the Prank, Remus's trust in Sirius was irrevocably changed. I think that Remus implicitly trusted Sirius before, but after the Prank, the nature of the friendship changed. I imagine that Remus didn't change much outwardly. He's a coward at heart and didn't want to rock the boat. But the thing is, Sirius isn't stupid. He almost certainly noticed a change in Remus's behavior. Remus probably went more passive-aggressive, and that laid the foundation for Sirius believing Remus to be the spy later, because of his behavior change. For Remus, it's the same thing, because of Sirius's capacity to use him for a cruel prank.
I do think that they were friends and remained friendly. James was the foundation for their friendship, and as long as James was alive and friendly with both, they would remain friends. However, with more people dying, Remus off with werewolves and Sirius doing who-knows-what, it would make sense for Sirius to think that Remus was a spy and vice versa. When Halloween '81 happened and the Potters were killed, Remus was probably shocked but not surprised. Sirius was capable of darkness.
And THIS is why I'm very okay with the Prank happening before SWM. Imagine Remus thinking the same thing during SWM - 'guys, please stop antagonizing him' - and James and Sirius continue antagonizing Severus for fun, because they're bored. This is abundant proof that Sirius still had a lot of growing up to do, as did James. Imagine Remus after the Potters die, thinking how Sirius could do this?, but then being reminded of SWM, where Sirius continued to play with his food, so to speak. Imagine Remus thinking it impossible for Sirius to turn his back on his friends, but after Peter is 'killed', and Remus was almost exposed in the Prank, that means the only person left for Sirius to betray was James. With that track record, Remus could've very well thought Sirius was the traitor.
I love Sirius as well. My man, like Remus, has layers. Their friendship in later years - post-Azkaban - was cobbled together by shared memories of James and years of trauma/betrayal by one another and Peter. At this point I imagine a friendship of convenience - they're friends because few people understand the trauma they went through, but they're never going to be BFFs the way that James and Sirius were. If Sirius is fire, James is the sunshine that fuels him, while Remus is a moldy wet log of a human being.
As always @puppyduckster you've given me tremendous food for thought and provided excellent insight on the characters we so love.

Marauders headcanons — Remus Lupin
Ok so, I’ve been seeing a lot of controversy surrounding the fanonization of the marauders era characters,, and while they’re in no way problematic per se, I’m more interested in headcanons that expand on canon characterization, so here’s a few of my personal headcanons:
5'10 -- quite thin, terrible posture
I imagine that Remus was quite strong despite his thin stature, possibly due to his werewolfness. We know from the books that Remus was able to contain sirius when he was in fits of anger, despite previous description of him as thin and frail.
Remus hates his strength, he is terrified of what he may or may not be able to do. He always tries to compensate for this, trying to be mellow, patient and doing his very best not to succumb to his anger. He thinks the anger comes from ‘the wolf’ and not him, so he does all he can to suppress it.
He is a very angry man tho — he just tries to suppress it, coming off as patient and mellow.
I also picture Remus from a poor background — I think that is mostly canon anyhow — he always tries to compensate for this by speaking speaking as posh as he can, dressing presentable, etc, etc. He doesn’t quite succeed in this tho and ends up coming off as a little awkward and stilted.
Ok now a little bit of projecting with something that’s definitely not canon but I think really fits into his character — he has OCD. Most of his intrusive thoughts contain him hurting his loved one as a werewolf, because he’s a werewolf, etc, etc. idk if this is common knowledge or not but a lot of ppl who have ocd (like me), when they’re met with these violent intrusive though perform obsessive rituals as a way to ‘counter act’ these thoughts from becoming real. So I imagine Remus is always mumbling to himself and doing repetitive tasks/gestures that no one really takes notice of except Sirius, who just assumes he’s being his quirky self.
Remus grew up pretty isolated, and when he did interact with ppl it was mostly with older adults so he doesn’t really know how to communicate with kids his age until he gets to hogwarts
I hc that his dad left shortly after Remus was bit (Lyall couldn’t stand the guilt and the hurt of having a werewolf as a son), so Remus grew up with a muggle mother who had no idea how to handle his wizard/werewolfness so he was being constantly hospitalised as a kid. His mother was also a little afraid of him and even tho Remus knew she loved him very much, he knew she didn’t quite know what to do with him. Also I imagine that his mum mental health slowly deteriorated after his father left so she was bed ridden quite a lot.
He loved reading and listening to music (could be a bit of a snob when it came to those two interests) as that’s how he used fill his void as a child. I really like the dyslexia hc that atyd had tho so maybe if he didn’t learn to read till hogwarts, he would spend most of his childhood in small isolated corners dreaming up worlds — and when he finally learnt to read that was his substitute.
Remus Lupin was not naturally smart,, but he never thought he’d be able to get into hogwarts and so he feels like he kinda owes it to himself to get good grades. Thus he studies so hard, way harder than sirius or James ever would have to, yet he doesn’t ever get quite as good as them. He is a little bit jealous but he would never hold that against them because he’s so grateful that he was even granted such an opportunity.
He feels like he doesn’t deserve friends as good as the marauders and has a huge inferiority complex. He keeps to himself and always tries to keep his issues away from his friends so as not to burden them.
He can be sarcastic tho, and has dry wit. He doesn’t think he’s very funny and always gets surprised when ppl laugh at his joke. He can also have a bit of dark humour at times.
He blindly trusts and idolises dumbledore. He thinks he owes his life to him, and would do whatever he could to please dumbledore.
During The Prank, he didn’t actually think he would kill Snape, probably just bite him, but for him a fate as a werewolf is much worse than death so he hates sirius for allowing that to happen. (In canon — it is stated that werewolves don’t often kill ppl — they usually just injure them or bite them into becoming one). Tho of course he forgives sirius eventually despite his better judgement, because he could never hold a grudge, especially against one of his closest friends (or lover…).
Appearance-wise, I hc Remus to be biracial. His mum is a Black woman from London and his dad is a Jewish Welsh man. he has light brown skin and eyes, a wide crooked nose broken from his nights in the full moon, and 3a-3b dark brown curls. I also imagine Lily to be from a Jewish background so I like to think that she would introduce Remus to Jewish traditions he felt that he’s been left out from — oh and speaking of which, Remus and Lily have a very special friendship!!
Also on appearance — i imagine that he’s super average looking. Like literally just some guy — sirius however thinks he’s so hot and that the sun shines out of his ass (no one gets it))
Remus with chronic pain + mobility aids. I think that lycanthropy being used as a metaphor for disability and such is quite common, and reasonably so.
Oh yeah, and this probably goes without saying,, he’s like, super gay. And in love with sirius. His marriage to tonks was one of convenience lol. (Again, just my headcanon!!)
Oop this was super long and ramble-y. Let me know if u enjoyed it and if u have any similar hcs! Prolly gonna do sirius next because that man is super mischaracterised in fanon holy shit.

You make me feel whole, baby
Author's note: Hello my loves! Thank you sooo much for the love on my last imagine, it made me very happy lots of kudos to all of you <3 <3
Words: 276.
Remus Lupin had secrets.
Some of them were more private than others, like the fact that he is a werewolf, that for 90% of the time he’s the one behind the pranks of the marauders and the newest and that his friends absolute doesn’t have any idea is:
  That he likes you.
It caught him by surprise, but at the same time, it was so natural to fall in love with you. It was as natural as it is to breathe.
He loves the way you smile, the way that you always bite your lip when anxious, the way that you always feel happy when someone gets good grades in some class. How you would always praise other people to make them feel better after an exam. Remus loves all of these little things you do.
You make Remus feel like a good person, feel like a human, not like a monster, not like a werewolf who hurts every person they see.
No, you make Remus feel like a whole human, it makes him feel so happy and warm. He honestly didn’t know how his friends don't see the way that he acts around you. It seems that they don’t see the way that he keeps wanting to touch you, how he is kinder, funnier and polite.
All to impress you, not that he is faking, he just doesn’t say dumb things like James does everytime he sees Lily Evans.
Remus is planning on doing something to do to show how much he loves you, maybe he should write some poems and bring flowers, maybe roses? Would that be cliché?
Either way, you deserve the best.

i've had a thought about james and sirius vs snape, ie the bullying.
so, first, we must agree: walburga hated sirius and vice versa. to walburga, sirius was a muggle lover and blood traitor. he was the son she couldn't control. to sirius, walburga was the mother he never wanted, and she certainly wasn't the mother he could make love him (even though she was his mother and therefore supposed to love him). so this makes death eaters, voldemort, and the rest of his backwards family the people she chose over him.
it doesn't matter how old one is, how terrible one's parents are, or how undeserving one thinks they are, rejection (read: hatred) from a parent hurts. it's traumatizing. it's awful and it impacts every aspect of a person's life. it affects their relationships with other people, it pits them against the rest of their family, and it makes everything that parent likes over them feel gross and evil.
at this point in his life (the hogwarts express), sirius has already figured out his family is evil and doesn't ever want to be like them. he can't imagine anyone ever choosing this life (his life).
enter snape. sirius knows nothing of his home life. snape knows nothing of his. all they know is that their own homes suck and that hogwarts is a potential permanent escape.
for sirius, hogwarts is friends. it's people who care about him, and not just his usefulness to the family. they care about him as a person, and none more so than the blood traitor and the half blood werewolf.
but then there's snape. who is in slytherin. who makes friends with the blacks and malfoys. who somehow gains their favor. the boy who sirius sees as lily's half blood friend with no reason to hate the muggle borns, is somehow becoming what his parents wanted him to be.
it's little things at first. a stinging jinx here, a color changing hex there. maybe some mundane little pranks. then, as snape reciprocates and becomes more ingratiated within slytherin, and thereby the blacks, it grows. it's no longer a small feeling of annoyance. now it's becoming hatred. it's becoming jealousy.
because why should his mother prefer this slimy, annoying little arse over him? what does snape have that sirius doesn't? why should snape want sirius' family, when sirius' family is one of the worst in the world? beyond that, why is snape so eager to join the group that's hurting people? hurting people snape grew up with? hurting lily? what does snape have against remus, the best, kindest person sirius knows? at this point, sirius can't find fault in his actions against snape when everything snape does is so clearly to gain favor with the people ruining sirius' life as well as his friends' lives.
i don't think sirius bullied snape because he thought snape was the weird kid or because it was easy or any of the typical reasons we here in anti bullying seminars in grade school. to me, sirius saw snape as everything he wasn't, but everything his mother wanted him to be. to sirius, snape was the death eaters. he was voldemort's youth campaign, he was what was manipulating his little brother, and he was everything his family believed in. this absolutely doesn't excuse bullying someone, but, as i've said before, snape gave as good as he got. (not to mention, snape went after remus, and he lashed out at other people that weren't even involved, like lily, harry, neville, hermione, ron, several other young kids, etc. that's also inexcusable.)
as for james, he would have done anything for his friends, even if that meant morally compromising himself to make sirius forget about his horrible mother. (which is also a problem - james' actions are less defendable than sirius', but at least he realized what he was doing was wrong. again, not excusing it, at all. i stand behind lily and her "arrogant toerag" comment in that moment, but not snape. never snape)
in conclusion (i swear this wasn't supposed to be so long), bullying is bad in any form, but reciprocity can be just as bad as instigation, and as i've said before, good characters are ambiguous, but in order to be ambiguous, they have to be morally grey. fucking no one is perfect.

Super stan of Snape and Remus here:
You're going to hate me for one half of my two metas, but I have two metas that do the same subject matter: "Snape doesn't deserve all the hate he gets for Remus loosing his job" and "That being said, Remus didn't deserve to loose his job and I say this as a person who's tired of people demonizing the wrong person for Remus's loss of his job'
I say Snape doesn't deserve the hatred because Remus would've lost his job anyway, Snape or no Snape. Even if Snape wasn't there Remus would've lost his job, because of the curse.
Dumbledore is the one who really deserves the hate, because he could've given the werewolf who struggles to get any form of employment a stable job-which was available! Care of magical creatures-or even History because anyone would be better than Binns. Seriously, imagine Remus as a care of magical creatures teacher-he'd be awesome at it! Or History-imagine kids actually learning and enjoying the class. For years-not just one.
Dumbledore could've and should have found another teacher for the Defense class.
Plus, Remus could very well have died or gotten injured because of the curse. Quirrell died, Lockhart got memory wiped. It's not like the other future teachers got much better-Mad Eye Moody was imprisoned, Fake Mad Eye Moody was had his soul sucked out, who knows what happened to Umbridge (I get the impression it was rather traumatic), Snape lost all his friends and basically painted a target on his back, and it seems the Carrows were tortured and imprisoned/killed.
And I say that Remus didn't deserve to loose his job because A) it was a genuinely innocent mistake-people forget things. Remus wasn't being deliberately careless or reckless. Just distracted.
B) If Remus deserves to loose his job for accidentally being dangerous so does literally every other teacher minus Binns and Snape.
C) I'm not really fond of the idea in general that someone deserves to be punished for something that could've gone really badly. No one was hurt. There should be more care to make sure that Remus takes his medicine, not kicking him out.
This has been in my inbox for a few days and I’ve been meaning to answer it but I forgot, and it’s the weekend now so I have some free time.
Anyway, I won’t respond to the first part of your ask because I think we both know I agree. The other part’s kinda where the problem starts lol
I don’t think Dumbledore is the one who deserves the hate. There were hardly any candidates for the DADA position (Snape: 🧍‍♀️) and Dumbles seemed to struggle to find one a lot of the time. And Dumbledore didn’t “knowingly put people in danger,” contrary to what others like to say. The position was not deadly in itself, the only thing he had to make sure of is that the person left before the end of the year so they would not run the risk of being harmed or killed. Dumbledore was not only grasping at straws for any potential candidates, but he also had to get someone who was competent when it came to DADA, especially after what happened with Lockhart (who was so blatantly horrible that it was plain comical). Plus, Albus was always kind to Remus when he was boy and we see that he liked and trusted him a lot when he was a professor. He even silenced Snape when he was implying Remus had something to do with Black’s entry of Hogwarts and looked sombre when Remus had to leave (“Goodbye, then, Remus,” said Dumbledore soberly). Doesn’t make sense that he would put someone innocent in danger for no reason (emphasis on “for no reason”) 🤷‍♀️
A) it was a genuinely innocent mistake-people forget things. Remus wasn't being deliberately careless or reckless. Just distracted.
I would’ve agreed with you.. if what you were saying was true. It was not an innocent mistake — some teensy accident that could’ve happened to anyone. I’m sure you’re referring to his forgetting the Wolfsbane potion, however, I think you’re forgetting that, for the entire year, Remus was well-aware of the fact that Sirius Black—who he (actually) believed was a mass-murderer who wanted to kill Harry—was an illegal Animagus and chose to keep it from Dumbles all year despite genuinely thinking Sirius could’ve killed Harry and the students and staff at Hogwarts. So sure, anon, maybe you think forgetting to take the one thing that stops you from turning into a bloodthirsty monster who could eat just about anyone is a simple mistake, but this definitely isn’t. It was a conscious decision that he made throughout the whole year, even after Sirius literally broke into the castle and stood over a teenage boy (Ron) with a 12 inch knife.
B) If Remus deserves to loose his job for accidentally being dangerous so does literally every other teacher minus Binns and Snape.
Who says they didn’t? All of the professors, including Snape tyvm, were a mess and shouldn’t have been teaching children. Hogwarts as a whole was a shitty school, but saying Remus “didn’t deserve to lose his job :((” after he damn well could’ve gotten the whole castle killed with his not telling Albus is rather ignorant.
C) I'm not really fond of the idea in general that someone deserves to be punished for something that could've gone really badly. No one was hurt. There should be more care to make sure that Remus takes his medicine, not kicking him out.
You’re entitled to your own opinion, anon. But when you work with children and forget to take the medicine that prevents you from murdering or infecting them, along with the fact that you were already endangering their lives by keeping vital information about a serial killer a secret, then I think that’s a pretty valid reason to not want that person to work there anymore (+ Dumbledore didn’t even fire Remus, he gave him the opportunity to resign himself).

All the villains in HP except Barty have horrible reasons, and Snape who had valid reasons to be a villain, was a good guy. Imagine if Snape was a villain.
Lily and Petunia just chilling, then Lily jumps off the swing and bounces off the ground.
Petunia: Lily, you're not allowed to do that!
Snape, randomly appearing: I know what you are. Lily, you're a witch. Why don't we become friends? I'm a wizard, and I can teach you a lot.
Petunia: Wizard indeed! You're that Snape boy, from down the river. Why are you spying on us?
Snape: Spying? Bitch, do you think you own this playground? I came here for conversation, and with Lily alone, not you. Who are you anyway? Rose, is it?
Petunia, offended by the last part: Come on Lily!
Snape: Cmon, think about it.
Lily, after 5 minutes of intense thinking: I'll stay here.
...
Lily: So when do we get the letter?
Snape: When you turn 11. Well, due to this dumbass belief wizards have that Muggles need to be told this personally, some rando will come and explain this to your parents. There is also a wizard prison called Azkaban, but you're too good to go there. That's for stupid criminals who get caught due to no skill whatsoever.
Lily: Does it have prison guards?
Snape: You think?! There are shadowy figures called Dementors, that suck the life out of people. They're wizarding leeches.
Petunia, appearing out of nowhere: Hey, the hell are you telling my sister about-
Snape: I tell my sister what I want to.
Petunia: What's that you're wearing? Your mum's blouse?
A big branch falls from the tree and hits Petunia.
Lily: Did you do that?
Snape: Literally half of our conversation before Azkaban was about accidental magic. Why the hell are yoy blaming me? I legit explained to you for 10 minutes about accidental magic and I get this bullshit.
...
On Hogwarts...
Lily: I don't wanna talk to you, Snape.
Snape: Why? What the hell did I do this time?
Lily: Tuney hates me. Because we saw that letter-
Snape: So who the fuck suggested we do it? I tried to tell you not to do it but you insisted. So don't give me your bullshit.
Lily: Yeah you're right, sorry Sev. Anyway, what house do you want to be in? I'm hoping whatever house you're in.
Snape: Slytherin then. Which I hoped too.
James: Who wants to be in Slytherin? I think-
Snape: Listen bastard, no one here gives a crow's shit what you think. So please, don't give us your unwanted bullshit. Also, leave.
James: Why don't- *is badly cursed by Snape* I think I'll leave.
...
Fast forward to fifth year. Snape has just finished cursing the Gryffindor fuckers who apparently thought they could call Snape "Snivellus" and get away with it. Sirius confronts Snape.
Sirius: Oi, Sniv-
Sirius is hit by a curse.
Sirius: Oi, Snape, you want to know what we get up to so badly, right? Well, just go underneath the Whomping Willow and you'll find out.
Snape: You fool. I was trying to find out so I could murder that little werewolf friend of yours, but Dumby plays too smart for my evidence to count.
That night...
Snape goes past the Whomping Willow into the Shrieking Shack. He sees Remus fully transformed into a werewolf, and is unsurprised.
Snape: Homorphus!
Remus detransforms.
James: Oi, Snape- REMUS?! HOW THE HELL ARE YOU NOT TRANSFORMED YET?!
Snape: Thanks to me. Sectumsempra!
James is hit, and badly injured.
Remus: Ex-
Snape deflects it, and Remus is disarmed.
Snape: C'mon werewolf, I'm taking you to the school and exposing you to everyone.
Snape takes Remus up to the whole school, but he is caught by Dumbledore.
In Dumbledore's office...
Dumbledore: So, you cursed Mr.Potter, and attempted to expose Mr.Lupin. Am I right?
Snape: Why old man, you are. And I WILL expose the werewolf to the whole school.
Sirius: Sir, he deserves expulsion! He cursed James-
Snape: SILENCE! Only I will speak now. Dumby, before you even think of threatening me with expulsion, I know of your past with a certain Grindelwald.
Dumbledore pales harder than any human or ghost ever paled.
Dumbledore: You cannot tell anyone-
Snape: No, but I met Grindelwald, and he can.
Dumbledore: No, please. I don't care what you do, don't leak my past with Grindelwald.
Snape: There you go. I will leak the werewolf's secret, and also, AVADA KEDAVRA!
Everyone gasps as Remus dies.
Dumbledore: Atleast cure Mr.Potter.
Snape: Fine.
James, for plot's sake, is cured.
...
Lily and Snape are breaking their friendship off, just this time it is because Snape killed Remus.
Snape: Fuck you. I taught you how to control, harness and use magic better than any professor, for this?! All for what? Because I exposed and killed a dark creature?
Lily: It's not about that only. I've been making excuses for you for years-
Snape: So what have I been saying to Mulciber? You're far from being the only one making excuses. And I don't care what your dumb friends think of me, my friends hate you too.
Lily: Aside from that, you and your precious little Death Eater friends, you cannot wait to join him once you graduate, can you? I can't pretend anymore.
Snape: You stupid girl, you're just like everyone else, a traitor. I gave you a chance, but all for what? You to pine over your golden boy Potter, huh?! POTTER! No, he's so handsome and cool, and he's such a Quidditch hero, ISN'T HE?! You think he's so amazing, don't you?! Never mind that he's your best friend's tormentor, it's a rivalry, isn't it, four on one?!
Lily: He attempted to save you-
Snape: POTTER NEVER SAVED ME! He attempted murder on me, then got cold feet and tried to backtrack, but no. He is brave for this, am I right?
Lily: So-
Snape: No, I've taken your bullshit for too long. From the start I was the villain. WELL IF THAT'S WHAT YOU AND YOUR PRECIOUS GRYFFINDORS WANT, THAT'S WHAT YOU GUYS WILL GET! Goodbye, Lily.
...
Snape is going to sign up to Voldemort.
Voldemort arrives at their meeting spot.
Voldemort: So, you wish to join me?
Snape: Why indeed, considering the Light wronged me relentlessly and I have nothing to lose anymore, I shall join you.
Voldemort: I see. But why at the ripe age of fifteen?
Snape: Because I wish to join you. My schoolmates are dunderheads, and I wish to get rid of them.
Voldemort: Very well.
Snape is branded the Dark Mark.
...
Snape has been sent by Voldemort to spy on Dumbledore. Snape is also planning to kill Voldemort. As Snape sees Dumbledore, he deicdes to follow the old mugwump. The old man goes into a room, and Snape turns himself invisible and sneaks inside. He sees a woman dressed even more peculiar than him.
Dumbledore: Sybill, please tell me a prophecy.
Trelawney tells the whole prophecy to Dumbledore. Snape sees this as an opportunity to take over and get his revenge on the world, and shoots an AK at Dumbledore from behind. He then turns himself visible, and casts Silencio on Trelawney. He then breaks the window and flies off to Voldemort.
At Voldemort's base, Snape repeats the prophecy to Voldemort. Voldemort decides to go after the Potters. Snape, seeing this as his chance to kill both James and Lily Potter, goes along.
At the Potters' house...
James: Alright, Pads, Lily-
Voldemort, appearing suddenly: Avada Kedavra!
James is killed.
Snape kills Sirius and Lily, and then shoots an AK at Voldemort from behind. Voldemort is turned to his powerless state as in canon. Snape then takes a look at baby Harry and decides that he is going to make this boy his minion, since this boy has the power to defeat Voldemort.

Enjoy an essay on the subject of why Remus and Sirius suspected each other. I think that it was Order missions that Remus was off doing (although presumably not the werewolf missions like he does in the second war since I have to imagine at least one person would say that him going in twice is a bad idea) that made Sirius distrust him. I also think this influenced James and Lily, for them to go along with the Switch idea. Because no matter what we all choose to interpret as why James and Lily also didn’t tell Remus of the switch, we can’t deny that with their son’s life on the line, they kept him out of the loop which I feel is particularly damning regarding how much they themselves trusted Remus. One of Remus’s flaws is the inability to not listen to Dumbledore (he’s similar to Hagrid in that regard, both of them feel like there’s this debt they can never repay—allowing Remus to attend Hogwarts and letting Hagrid be groundskeeper after Myrtle died—and they are utterly loyal to him as a result), so of Dumbledore told him the mission had to be absolutely secret, well, nobody will ever be told what Remus is doing. I think he’d have tried to lie, but his friends knew him a bit too well for that and knew he was lying and couldn’t think of a single reason for him to not tell them what he’s actually doing unless it was for Voldemort.
Now, my personal interpretation for why Remus (and likely others, for everyone Sirius knew to accept Sirius as the traitor) distrusted Sirius was the result of two things: Sirius’s family and Sirius being viciously protective and ruthless when it came to the Potters’ safety. It’s apparently common knowledge his younger brother was a Death Eater, for both Sirius and Remus to “know” he was killed for trying to defect and we know per Avery and Mulciber what the school aged Death Eaters (something which I think included a big chunk of Sirius’s relatives and childhood friends) liked to do, meaning everyone saw how people raised like Sirius tended to turn out and there was a little corner of Remus’s mind wondering just how Sirius turned out so different (here, we see Sirius’s own reluctance to talk about his family—shown in the way he only mentions Bellatrix when Harry sees her name on the tapestry and that whole scene—damn him, as Remus didn’t know a lot about his childhood. I think the only person who could breach those walls Sirius had was James, so James knew the nitty gritty details of Sirius’s life while nobody else really did), and then, started wondering if he really was different at all. Now, we move onto reason two (and this is something that I think plays a role in everyone saying “of course, Sirius Black is absolutely capable of blowing an entire street up and killing 13 people), and that is that Sirius is willing to do whatever he feels necessary to ensure the Potters survive. I think he used darker magic than the rest of the Order, having been taught it young and feeling the rest of the Order is hobbling itself by refusing to do anything toeing the line (and Voldemort was winning the war by this point so Sirius wouldn’t be wrong if he felt this way), because dammit, Sirius is going to make sure James and Lily and Harry make it out alive (and I adore the idea of him using the spells his family taught him to protect rather than simply harm). I also think there were multiple efforts to recruit Sirius. I think he basically told them all to go fuck themselves, but some people did notice the Death Eaters approaching him to talk. I lost my train of thought however, so we’re leaving it off here.
Essay time on Imp's blog!
Yeah, it makes way more sense that Remus was off doing missions and being super secretive about it, and that's why Sirius suspected him. It's not about him being a werewolf at all.

this is a character study of sirius black. this is taken directly from my main blog, but it's honestly written more like a fic so here you go
also i did a lily and snape one as well

Hello my name is Ace and this is me brain rotting a marauders voldemort wins au with wolfstar starchaser and nobleflower
btw this fic is going to have three parts (volumes?? books?? idk) and this is mostly just what I have planned for the first one
So imagine a world where Voldemort wins the war but the war happened before The Marauders were born.
So basically The Marauders have always lived in a world where Voldemort is in charge and purebloods are superior.
Muggles know that magic exists and when muggleborns start showing signs of magic they immediately go on a registry and are taken away from their families because they’re seen as “stealing magic”
Any purebloods or halfbloods that are caught or seen going against Voldemort get arrested and are mostly made to work for Voldemort as his castles staff and thats how a lot of our main characters have ended up.
Voldemort has taken over Hogwarts and now lives there. The old classrooms have been turned into guest bedrooms and other various rooms and the common rooms/dorms have been stripped of everything that made then habitable and are where the staff/prisoners live.
In the old Slytherin common room is where the halfbreeds are kept (they’re supposed to only be allowed out when they’re needed)
Oh yeah also the staff are also the Order and are secretly planning a rebellion and trying to find ways that they can take Voldemort down from the inside.
context out of the way lets get into the plot
So Narcissa Black is set to marry Lucius Malfoy and they're having the wedding at Hogwarts so every important pureblood family are staying at the castle for the event.
Out of these families are of corse the Black family.
Upon hearing the the Black family will be coming, during an Order meeting James, Remus and Alice decide to make a bet on who can shag one of the Black cousins first
Because Voldemort is cocky and doesn't have as much control over his staff as he thinks he does. Also James, Alice and Remus are cocky and think they can each have relations with a member of the Black family without shit hitting the fan.
So Remus goes for Sirius and they immediately fall in love. Like love at first sight, they feel like they’ve known each other their entire lives type shit.
The Black cousins are close in this fic so Sirius obviously tells Regulus about Remus and Regulus tells Sirius to stop seeing him.
Sirius is confused because he was almost certain that Regulus would be happy for them
BUT (and heres the plot twist) it’s because Sirius and Remus have met before and they had their memories whipped.
SO a few years ago Remus used to live with his mother, step mother, two brothers and two step sisters and they lived near the Number 12 Grimmauld place.
Sirius and Remus ended up meeting one day and fell in love. Remus met Regulus and became friends with him also and it was all great until Bellatrix found out while she was visiting her cousins.
Now in this fic Bellatrix is a villain and is completely insane but she cares about her family and uses her love for her cousins and wanting to keep her cousins and sisters safe as an excuse for her actions.
Because she knows what will happen to Sirius if he gets caught being with a halfblood she decided to obliviate both Remus and Sirius and send Remus to Hogwarts where he was then bitten by Greyback and made to believe that he was born a werewolf and has always lived in Hogwarts
Regulus somehow ended up keeping their memories and locking them in two rings.
So when Remus and Sirius wear the rings they have their memories back.
Regulus gives Sirius his ring and explains everything after Sirius finds Regulus with James and calls him a hypocrite and is so mad that Regulus things that Sirius will hate him forever if he doesn't explain.
Immediately after Sirius gives Remus his ring and Remus gets all of his memories back.
Unfortunately though theres not much they can do about their situation beyond that. Even with his memories back Remus still can’t just leave Hogwarts and be with his family again and now that Remus is a werewolf theres even more of a reason on why they aren't allowed to be together.
Sad times for Wolfstar.
ANYWAYS MEANWHILE WITH STARCHASER
James is a fuckboy and is highly confident that he will win the bet.
Until he doesnt because Regulus is a little shit who is hard to get. (and he knows through Sirius what could happen if he does allow himself to be with James)
James actually comes last in the bet but he’s not one to give up so he makes it his mission to seduce Regulus Black.
Now don’t worry James doesn’t harass Regulus or anything he respects his decision theres just a lot of shameless flirting that he doesn’t actually mean because he’s just trying to prove to Remus and Alice that he can get a member of the Black family to sleep with him like they did.
However as time goes on James slowly starts to fall in love with Regulus and Regulus starts to fall for James.
I’m starting to realise that I just explained the plot to the After--
Don’t worry this will be better then After... Hopefully.
 ANYWAYS ONTO NOBLEFLOWER
So Alice is at a disadvantage because Narcissa is literally set to get married. But its either her or Bellatrix so she’s taking what she can get.
Alice and Narcissa hit it off pretty quickly and at first it is just sex but as time goes on they start to open up to each other and Narcissa realises just how much she hates her life.
Alice is the #1 Narcissa supporter and tries to teach Narcissa that she doesnt hve to live like she is
Only Narcissa does have to live like she is because if she doesnt shell end up in the same situation that Alice is in and could put her entire family in danger.
A lot of back and forth between these two but they get their feelings out in the end
Just in time for Bellatrix to find out about them and torture Alice on the morning of the wedding
Im going to leave it there because I have plans for Narcissa in part two but part one ends with the wedding and I’m still trying to figure out what everyone else will be doing in part two.
Aside from our three main forbidden romances we also have two other storylines to get through.
LIKE DORCAS, who is one of Remus’ step sisters.
(I have this thing where in nearly all of my fics Remus and Dorcas are step siblings. Idk why but i like it so just go with it)
The family were told that Remus was killed but wasn’t given a reason why.
Because of this Dorcas is in her serial killer era and is going round killing important purebloods
At the beginning of the fic she’s in Ireland and has killed the entire of the McKinnon and Bone family, apart from three.
Edgar Bones is at Hogwarts because he was arrested and Amelia and Marlene weren’t with their families at the time because they were in the woods having a Jo and Laurie moment.
Amelia is in love with Marlene but Marlene turns her down.
After Marlene leaves Amelia heartbroken in the woods Dorcas approaches her.
While killing the others Dorcas took note of the absence of Edgar, Amelia and Marlene and after finding Marlene and Amelia in the woods she figured that Edgar must’ve been taken at some point.
Dorcas figures that she could use some help and asks Amelia to join her and Amelia agrees
(Obviously the main way to go about this would be Dorcas and Marlene slowly falling in love but as much as I’m in love with Dorlene I don't know how I would go about making that happen exactly considering Marlene does go to Hogwarts with the ther purebloods and Dorcas won’t see Marlene again until halfway through part two at the earliest)
(It might be interesting to mix things up a bit and have Amelia and Dorcas be a thing but i don’t know how people will feel about that. Overall I don’t really have a set plan for Marlene, at this point the only reason why she doesn’t die with her family is because I know people will have my head if I kill Marlene off before Chapter five)
Dorcas and Amelia spend the entire of part one killing people and scaring the shit out of everyone while making their way towards Hogwarts where they will kill Voldemort and end his reign
Along the way they meet Benjy who goes looking for them because he wants to join them
He also tells them that he wants their help to break his boyfriend Caradoc out of Hogwarts and they agree.
MEANWHILE BACK AT HOGWARTS we have yet another forbidden love but this time with Edgar and Emmeline.
As stated before Edgar used to live in Ireland with his siblings and close to the McKinnons. While this was going on Emmeline was living with the McKinnons after her father and two younger brothers were killed.
Emmeline and Edgar used to be really good friends until Edgar was arrested.
Emmeline goes with Marlene to Hogwarts for the wedding and while she’s there she runs into Edgar.
Edgar isnt too happy to see Emmeline because she was the one who told on him and got him arrested.
So while we have Wolfstar, Nobleflower and Starchaser having their forbidden romances we also have Edgarline having a very special enemies to lovers forbidden romance.
Now I know that Edgar and Emmeline is a very unpopular ship but trust me they’re cute.
IN TERMS OF EVERYONE ELSE IM A BIT LOST ON WHAT TO DO WITH THEM
The plotlines I’ve just mentioned will be the main ones but for a lot of characters I’m having trouble placing them.
Caradoc will be apart of the Order obviously and is Benjys boyfriend
Frank is one of Alice’s old friends who appears for one chapter during part one to offer her marriage
I’m thinking Peter as a pureblood who is currently at Hogwarts and is good friends with Sirius
Lily and Mary are definitely a part of the Order and will be in a established relationship but I’m not really sure what else I can do with them. I don’t want to just make them side characters with nothing going on
As already said with Marlene she will be at Hogwarts but I dont know what she’s doing there other then observing
Everyone else is wandering my brain trying to find somewhere in this fic to go
ANYWAYS if by some miracle you read all of that and have literally any thoughts on if its good or bad or if i should change anything or what I should do with certain characters or relatonships please let me know cause this took FOREVER to all get out of my head and into a tumblr post
Also I dont have a name for the fic...
We really are in the beginners stages

Twilight
Written for @remadoramicrofics day 26: twilight. G, 720 words. Read below or on Ao3.
The Lupins arrived at the cinema with plenty of time to spare. Dora wandered to the posters to show Remus which one she’d selected.
“This is it,” she said, pointing up at a dark film poster, where two pale figures were in a sort of embrace. “The bloke looks constipated. It should be good.”
“Are you sure this is the one you want to see?” Remus stared apprehensively at the poster, whose tagline read “When you can live forever, what do you live for?”
“It’s all over the Muggle news. Besides, it’s either this or the talking animal one, and I told Teddy we’d see it together.”
Remus sighed and followed her into the cinema to purchase their tickets. It was his wife’s turn to choose their date night activity, and while he didn’t usually mind Muggle films, she had described this one as ‘a girl stuck in the middle of a vampire and werewolf war.’ After eleven years of marriage, he’d learned to take her summaries with a grain of salt.
They indulged in fresh popcorn and Muggle sweets for their date. As they sat down to see the opening scenes of a deer hopping through the forest, Remus prepared himself for Twilight.
Two Weeks Later
“Edward.”
“Jacob.”
“Vampire, Dora,” Remus insisted. “A vampire who shares our son’s name. Edward’s the right one for Bella.”
“Edward ran off and left her alone for a year!”
Remus half-closed his eyes and blinked tiredly at his wife.
“Oh, right,” said Tonks. “But you and I were different. Jacob’s furry and cute. Edward’s just a shiny rock!”
“According to the books—” Remus lifted a newly purchased and fully read copy of Breaking Dawn. “Edward is who she belongs with. If you don’t like that ending, imagine your own!”
“Well, maybe I will!” Tonks scrunched her face up, her hair turning flaming red, and stomped out of the kitchen, her hips swaying attractively with her rage.
Remus covered his mouth with his hand and hid his laugh. It never failed to make him smile, seeing Tonks riled up over anything lycanthropic. He too preferred the film werewolf to his vampire counterpart, but witnessing Dora work herself up over the issue was entertaining.
Teddy poked his turquoise head into the kitchen. “Dad, why does mum have her wand in a knot? Did someone write something bad about werewolves again?”
Remus chuckled at him. “Your mother didn’t like the ending of a book we read.”
“Did you do that thing where you change the ending on purpose?”
“No, actually, I . . . pretended to disagree with her.”
Teddy smirked knowingly. “Can I play?”
Remus knew he oughtn’t encourage his ten year old son in deceit, but it would be funny to see Nymphadora try to argue with him.
“Tell her you think vampires are better than werewolves,” Remus whispered.
Teddy grinned and dashed off, knocking over a pile of parchment in his hurry, and tapped his mother on the shoulder. Remus stood in the back, waiting.
“Mum, mum, mum—”
“Teddy, what?”
“Do you think dad would be cooler if he was a vampire instead of a werewolf?”
Tonks shook her head slightly in disbelief.
“Blood would be so easy to get. Muggle hospitals have loads of it! We’d just have to get in and take some—”
“REMUS!”
Dora got out of her chair and marched up to him, her nose adorably scrunching up in righteous anger. Teddy picked up the parchment she was working on and began to read aloud.
“And after the Volturi were defeated,” he read, “Bella dropped Nessie off with her mother and ran off with Jacob, the real hero.”
Remus brought his fist to his mouth and tried not to laugh at Dora’s attempt to rewrite the story.
“Is this a joke to—” Her face scrunched up again. She put her hands on her hips and huffed angrily. “This is a joke! You—you—”
“I love you,” said Remus, bending down to kiss her cheek, “and I couldn’t help myself.” He continued pressing kisses to her face until Dora’s hands fell from her hips and her hair softened from its fiery red to a pastel pink.
“Eww!”
Teddy stuck his tongue out at them and stormed upstairs. Chuckling to himself, Remus returned his full attention to his wife’s lips with a satisfied grin.
