It was evening in the region of Fontaine. The streetlights turned on making the gorgeous architecture of the city bloom with its beauty.

You had been invited to a restaurant with Lyney, you thought it was just a friendly gesture, a friend taking a friend out to eat. But you were wrong~

“I see you’ve actually shown up, dove~?” Lyney says with his usual silvery voice. He takes your hand in his and spins you around, the mid-length dress/coat you wore twirling with you.

“Woa!“ you say with a giggle short after. It wasn’t unusual that Lyney was this playful, he’s quite playful actually.

Lyney chuckles at your reaction, he takes off his top hat and says in a mesmerizing voice, “Shall we, dove~?”. He extends his hand to yours.. you smile and nod, taking his hand as you two find a waiter.

You two chatted like normal as you waited for the food. Giggles and laughs heard from the two of you while you were sat by the window. The gorgeous view of the starry sky of Tyvat could be seen from that window. Maybe not as vibrant as it would be in the deserts of Sumeru due to all of the city light, but oh it was beautiful..

“So, oysters~? What made you choose that for your meal?” Lyney says as he takes a sip of his drink, he looks at you with a playful smile while waiting for your reply.

“I wanted to try something new, people keep saying that oysters are disgusting.. so why not see for myself? Worth the risk,” You say with a light chuckle, you look at the cute candle on the table as you continue to speak. “And what made you order fish and chips, again? You that picky~?” You tease as you lean back in your chair.

“Hah! Well I’ll have you know that-“ Lyney was then cut off as the waiter arrived with our long awaited food. “Would you look at that~? Our food has arrived! Let’s dig in, shall we~?” He says as the waiter leaves, he didn’t waste any time to start eating.

You playfully rolled your eyes at him as you started to eat your oysters, it wasn’t as bad as people say. Maybe not your favorite, but definitely not disgusting as people say!

You two sat in mostly silence while you two ate. Your gaze was down at your food as you focused on looking for pearls in the oysters, ‘no harm in checking, hehe~’ you think to yourself, but your train of thought was cut off as you noticed Lyney was a little too quiet. You looked up to see him gazing at you with the most loving eyes.. a small smile plastered on his face as well. He didn’t seem to notice you looking back at him, so you gently called out to him while waving your hand

“Geez, Lyney, you good there?” You say while raising an eyebrow.

“Oh, dove.. how can’t I stare at this wonderful beauty in front of me?” He says so casually. A bright pink dusted your cheeks while you look away with a bashful smile. “Dove, don’t look away..” Lyney whispers in a somewhat romantic tone as he cups your cheek with his palm. He turns you to look back at him, and you were met again with that same loving gaze.

“Want to see a magic trick~?” He says without breaking eye contact with you. Before you had the chance to respond, he gently kisses your lips.. his kiss was so gentle and wholesome.. you smiled into the kiss, you were ecstatic that this moment had finally come..

The kiss lasted at least 7 seconds before he pulled away. He chuckles a little at the goofy smile on your face.

“My dove.. your lips are divine.”

Was his last words before he gently kissed you again..

My Predictions on who the Devil is or more so who I want it to be

LISTEN PLEASE HEAR ME OUT. We have Roddy going around claiming that he’s Adam’s Bestfriend, as well as MJF. But why don’t we bring back someone who also had a very close relationship with Adam Cole?

We have Adam appear at World’s End for MJF, have MJF win against Joe WITHOUT cheating this time. And after the match everything goes dark and the Devil comes out, the Devil attacks MJF; having Joe already left the arena and Adam being forced to watch his tag partner being harmed once again without him being able to help. After beating down on Max, the Devil faces Adam and removes his mask. Revealing my wife Kyle O’Reily. We go down the angle where Kyle is angry at Adam for choosing Max over Roddy when they had been together longer than he has with Max. (Referencing to their Undisputed Era/Elite days; ofc without Bobby this time💔). This spirals into another heart breaking and sob inducing story between Adam and Max; where Adam is conflicted between choosing the Undisputed Elite and Max once more, as both sides keep pressuring themselves onto Adam.

Eventually it comes to the point where Adam is forced to choose between them, at first appearing to Choose Max over them; before pulling the same shit he did to Roderick on NXT. Betraying Max, and reuniting the Undisputed Elite officially on AEW. This would lead ofc to a title match for Kyle O’Reily and Maxwell; with Roderick & Adam by his side (maybe the Kingdom if they still w Roderick at this time, we could replace Bobby with them ig). This would leave Maxwell all alone, and realize that everyone is truly against him and that he has no one left (since the Acclaimed basically said they wanted nothing to do with him too). So this betrayal of Adam and reunification of the Undisputed Elite will lead to the demise of Adamjf (when Cole gets better) AND the return of heel Max. Cus as much as I love babyface Maxwell, I need the douchebag he once was back asap.

Overall, if it really is Kyle O’Reily and I somehow manifested this into reality I think the adamjf story would be one of the greatest stories told tbh. I just really need the closure for them. And I rlly just want Kyle O’Reily back, I miss my wife💔💔. I’m not that good at making stories so I hoped this made sense💀 or atleast sounds a lil realistic

And here is the one that’s most likely to be true, but I already know the twitter fucks are gonna be pissed ab 💀💀

This is mostly just do to all the speculations and ppl (me) making fun of the whole real glass situation at All In, but what’s actually insane is the amount of glass was actually used and broken throughout the beatings people have taken with the Devil’s henchmen😭 like, Anthony being thrown through a glass window, Max having a glass bottle broken over him, and Hangman being dropped into a car windshield. Absolutely insane at how much glass they are using, that it’s honestly making me wanna believe that they are purposely using real glass as a symbol for Jack Perry.

Story wise I have no clue as to how they are gonna get this to work, and how they’d continue with it if they do reveal it to be Jack. Cause I know a lot of ppl are gonna be let down (not me I’ll just be happy my gf came back from war), but if it is Jack I hope tk knows what he is doing. And I HOPE that they can actually turn this into an interesting feud if this becomes reality 🙏🙏

But he could also just return and reignite the feud between him and Christian as well. But idk!!! I just need him back💔

ballad appreciation post

i’m so happy :D. i’ve watched ballad twice this week. the second time i watched it w my brothers i didn’t have anything to say about it bc i was mostly just on edge about not getting kicked out of the theatre but since i teased a breakup over this Boyfriend was on his best behavior so i actually got to watch the movie without anyone asking a million question a scene. in related news we have another lucy gray truther on our side. here are some of my thoughts

1. tom blyth opening screen …. i still got jumpscared seeing him in the nude

2. the way they pronounce lucy grays name still catches me off guard. i’ve been ignoring the “i” completely and just say “bard” in my head (yk bc she’s The Bard). with that being said i know the mayor was in like 2 scenes but i think he did a really good job picking out lucy grays name he looked crazy

3. hunter schafer is my eyebrow inspo. also i’ve mentioned this before w the bathing suits having a 1920s and 50s vibe but she’s giving 1940s to me. but obviously glamor 1940s not war ridden 1940s

4. watching this w someone who hasn’t read the book is so enjoyable. when lucy gray dropped the snake down mayfairs shirt Boyfriend got SO tense “waitwait did she just try to fuckin murder her??” god forbid women do anything

5. okay sorry but the first time i watched it i was trying not to smile (in a laugh-y way) when lucy grays singing part came on. when i read it i thought that part ate but actually seeing it was so different for some reason. i think this feeling might be amplified if you’ve never read the book bc my sister felt the exact same way she said it was kinda fuckin cringe. idk if it was just bc we were at home or she was just feeling silly but she started singing that one camp rock song that’s like “we can’t back down.” which ok yeah that was kinda lucy grays song in a nutshell but it kinda did piss me off bc the “you can kiss my ass!!!!” part was coming on soon and i was stressing over them missing it. also didnt lucy gray have a full on dance break in the book?? god. they should have kept that in

6. okay that scene where she bowed and d12’s nasty ass coal industry being in the background is still one of my fav scenes. ugh loved it

7. wovey idk what it was this time but when she was like “im rlly good at climbing” i almost burst into tears. guys she’s really good at climbing

8. hunter schafer literally killed this. i’d argue that tigris is just as much of a product of her environment as snow is but i don’t rlly know how to articulate that

9. speaking of the reading vs watching thing i mentioned earlier: it rlly jumped out with grandmaam. idk why but when i was reading it grandmaam was SO scary and intimidating to me but watching her so frail and skinny and slightly senile talk about how lucy gray is a killer just seemed so crazy. especially since we know snow believes her

10. “they’re gonna get bombed aren’t they” wtf i walk into every movie clueless how are ppl straight up predicting entire events. but again w the reading vs watching i was GAGGED when they got bombed in the book but in the movie it seemed weird?? like “get the camera on her” and then it just feels like they’re trying to take up space until the actual bombs land. but whatever im being so bitchy i wasn’t surprised bc i literally knew it was gonna happen

11. “i want coral making my latte” and i want tanner on the grill

12. i think it was tanner, but i rlly liked his outfit. i liked all their outfits actually. i’ve been watching so many reels abt the costume designer explaining her inspo for the costumes (like tigris and her 1940s glamor thing going on)

13. okay seriously why did they cut out the kiss… and then when they actually did kiss why did they have lucy gray pull away at first…… i know francis lawrence saying this was a love story was icky but he did a bad job at portraying that so maybe we were worried for nothing (jk we were worried for all the right reasons bc if i had a nickel for every time someone said “i thought they were gonna get married!” about lucy gray and snow i’d have two nickels. which isn’t a lot but it’s weird that it happened twice). also not to be a hater but snowbaird fans actually fucking irritate me. like the fans that are like “but what if it was wholesome 🥺🥺” what if lucy gray tried to kill him and he tried to kill her back? what if he managed to track her down and she bit him again? what if they hate each other so much that they’re only together bc they wanna see the other person suffer? what then

14. tbh seeing billy taupe made me feel a bit guilty 😭😭. almost terminated my ao3 acc but i get that feeling every time someone mentions something im obsessed w in a very casual way so it wasn’t rlly that serious. also someone either on tiktok or insta was like “was i the only person who preferred snows curls to his buzz cut?” and i genuinely couldn’t tell if they were joking bc like. everyone prefers snows curls to his buzz cut. even snow prefers his curls to his buzzcut. with that being said billy taupe needed to lose the cap

15. ngl the ballad of lucy gray baird actually did make me cry a bit… lucy gray was only 16 she needed to be on tumblr

20. the first time i watched it i remembered being really confused why lucky called mizzen Merciless Mizzen. but omg after he tried chasing lucy gray down in that vent i understood that was crazy of him. and it did seem like he was an actual teenager which actually made it more unsettling. i feel like rachel zegler has a baby face (i actually think she was 17 in west side story and she looks the exact same now) but mizzen’s actor sing singing her name was perfect

21. lamina at the beam… didn’t she manage to kill someone in the book??

24. take this with a grain of salt i haven’t read the books in so long but when snow snuck up on lucy gray in the meadow didn’t she level her guitar at him and then be like “sorry lol i still have one foot in the arena :P” they should have had her hit him in the face w it

ok so i just got back from seeing atsv and just oh my fucking god.

like first of all THE ENDING?! LIKE HOW OUT OF ALL THE (honestly small amount of stuff) SPOILED FOR ME HOW DID NO ONE TELL ME THERE WAS GONNA BE A TBC AT THE END?! I CANT WAIT HOWEVER MANY YEARS ITLL BE TO SEE WHAT HAPPENS NEXT LIKE-

and like half the stuff in this film felt like a maaaaassssssiiivvveeeee metaphor for coming out like the “promise u won’t love me any less” (or whatever see said i’m bad at remembering exact quotes) and the fact that during Gwen’s speech to her dad EVERYTHING TURNED FUCKING PINK BLUE AND WHITE like cmon they aren’t even being subtle abt it u guys (@ the ppl who r denying it not u) just don’t wanna see queer ppl in media they literally could not make it more on the nose w/o making it an actual queer coming out story and not a metaphor (also when Miles and Rio were talking and he was trying to tell her “a secret” aka that he was spider-man and he was going all “i- i’m- i’m-” before bailing she 1000% thought he was trying to come out to her like as queer idk what other way she couldve interpreter that like srsly)

also not to be horny in asks but i need Miguel to fucking rail me for fuck’s sake hes hot and usually it’d be more likely i’d be into a mosquito than a muscular guy (it’s normally too generic yk)

and yeah that’s all my thoughts on the movie that’s i can turn into words (final random ones that idk how to format: Gwen and Miles were like extra baby in this one esp Miles + ik he has a wife and all but Peter and Miguel r definitely doing smthn like the vibes r there u cant deny it + Gwen x Miles is one of those ships that i don’t rlly care whether they’re romantic or platonic but i prefer them platonic and unfortunately the writers don’t seem to agree with me (kinda like Jopper except Jopper kinda grew on my entirely because of Willel being siblings bring extra extra canon) + not related to the contents of the film but there were these group of rlly annoying Neds sitting behind me and my friend who wouldn’t stop talking and going on their phones and i only heard one but according to my friend 2 ppl yelled at them to shut up and i heard them stop for like 2 seconds then start being bitches again it was so fucking annoying) and yeah damn that was a kinds long final thoughts thingy but yeah will this become my entire personality? idk we’ll have to see now if u’ll excuse me i gotta remember how to be a normal human again (hope this wasn’t too long lmao) :p

hi anya.. i saw you talking abt being good at giving advice to ppl, so,, wld you mind giving me some advice..?

rant: i've been an anon for this person for a while and, not so long ago, i came out of anon to talk to them on priv, bcs they said they wouldn't be active anymore, and they told me i could talk to them on priv, if i wasn't uncomfy.

i did take up that offer, bcs i rlly wanted to keep in touch. but, they make 0 effort to talk to me. i'm always the one sending the first message. they never reach out first. and every conversation consists of like, 3 messages from each of us, talking about our lives, then we don't talk for months until i reach out again.

now, they announced they would be active again, and they're back to posting, but they just won't send me a message. i don't know if i'm being pushy and annoying by wishing they would talk to me. idk if i'm uninteresting, or if they're anxious or forgetful, or what.

it's just been very one-sided and instead of making us closer (like i thought it would) it feels like it's driving us apart. the last time we talked was in march. when i sent them a happy birthday message. i haven't send anything ever since. and neither did them (as always). i saw them as a friend, but i don't think they care about me at all.

anyway: what do i do?? do i try and talk to them about it? (what if they're just busy and i'm overthinking??) do i ignore them forever, just as they have been ignoring me? do i send them an ask instead and act like i've never been out of anon? help.

haiii anon! im glad you decided to reach out to me w this ^_^ thank u & i hope i can be of help with the following advice below ! (i actually typed more than i intended bcs it hit home hehdnsnsnd)

first of all; i applaud u for being brave & coming off anon to keep in touch with that person! a lot feel too uncomfy to do so even if they desperately want to keep in contact with someone, so i feel proud, if i can word it in that way ahsha

soooo let’s start;

if i read this correctly: when you actually begun to reach out privately to that person, you are always the first one that tries to strike up a conversation. you feel like they could be uninterested in you & don’t consider you a friend like you do.

i’m sorry to hear that— especially the ‘reaching out first part’, because it can be super uncomfortable and could understandably make you overly anxious (like thinking they aren’t interested, are ignoring you on purpose, don’t want you talking to them or they’re uncomfy talking to u etc etc. it can cause a lot of anxious thoughts. that i get & it can be extremely upsetting).

this is also a huuuge problem i’m struggling with. you are NOT pushy or annoying for wanting them to reach out to you out of their own initiative. i think every one who struggles with this can agree with me and guarantee you that.

why? because feeling like your friendship is one-sided is not how most work out. that’s how most friendships FALL out instead, like you had stated yours was at the end.

march is a long time ago. the fact that they are active & posting means they are on their socials & are checking their dms etc etc. to say that they’re forgetful is really doubtful, because march is MONTHS ago & i’m sure that if they cared about your friendship — they for sure would’ve thought of at least reaching out to you once in all those months (as harsh as that might sound).

but, they didn’t — it shows that this is indeed very one sided. of course, as a busy person myself i could look at the other side of the story as well: maybe they could be busy or they could be anxious about reaching out first too!

i know people who do, at least. but the difference is that those people i know (who are anxious of reachig out first) always make an effort to keep the conversation going once i msg them. they are interested, send me random stuff & the convos can go on and on without stopping for hours because they put effort into continuing the convo i started.

now that is considered two-sided to an extent as well. but reading that your convo’s are short & usually only 3 messages back and forth — i’m… feeling a bit iffy. if they were anxious about reaching out first, but were still interested in talking with you, they would at least make the effort to appreciate you starting the convo & continue it. so, i personally don’t think they’re forgetful or anxious.

that rules out any more possibilities to be honest. the moment you said that they havent ever reached out first made me already go ‘well…’ in my head. and its been months since you last talked. if they wanted to continue your friendship like you want, they would’ve put in the same effort as you (or at least tried once or twice to show their interest). judging by your explanation of the story, i don’t think they want to put effort in talking further with you.

which—is not your fault, maybe not even theirs. some friendships aren’t meant to work out. maybe they aren’t feeling it? maybe they don’t feel the ‘click’, you know? once again, not your fault at all! it happens to me every time — and it even happens to the best of us.

as someone who’s been in this situation for over ten times in different ‘failed’ friendships, i say let them go. maybe see where it leads you. i don’t think they will reach out to you first since march was the last time you talked without you taking the initiative, but just let it go. if they at least want to keep the convo or spark between you alive, they’d reach out themselves.

as anxious as one can be about reaching out first, if they desperately want to feel a connection between the other person, they would find a way to do it. like maybe a simple ‘hi’ in dms or indirect post on dash.

but it’s also valid that you want to continue what yall had. if you choose to want to reach out again; here’s a different & more positive solution / piece of advice:

send them one message filled with your worries and feelings about your situation. don’t make it too long (could be a bother to read, might make you seem a bit too desperate to them?) — but also maybe not too short.

this could be included;

• ask them how they’ve been lately.

• out your feelings about the situation briefly (abt reaching out first).

• simply ask for a clarification. don’t demand it! ask if they maybe would like to continue talking.

wait & check their response to that message and be critical! if they ignore completely, red flag. if they’re dismissing your feelings, red flag. if they say ‘i forgot’ or ‘i was busy’, understandable, but see if they actually make an effort to reach out to you afterwards. if not—stop putting in the effort and let go (saying this in the nicest way possible. it avoids any more heart break / anxiousness, i promise)

though, it may also be your last message to them if they say that they don’t feel the same (aka dont wanna continue talking), so maybe prepare yourself for that too.

anyhow! it’s ok if friendships don’t work out, once again, don’t blame yourself! it hurts, of course, but once you get through the heart break — there are many more possibilities for you to make friends out here.

remember, relationships are the most healthiest when there’s good communication between both parties.

nitw chrysijacks au!!! tell me more abt it im so invested i love nitw!! do they get to be animals too...if they were animals what would they be!!!

AAAAH, okay okay, so it’s still a work in progress bc i haven’t decided if i want to have chrysi be in mae’s position but with elements of bea, or if i want jacks to be in mae’s position and have chrysi be mostly bea with just a hint of cole (bc i think chrysi would’ve absolutely left town for a bit), but as of writing this.. i’m erring towards chrysi as mae, since she defs can perceive things that most ppl can’t, plus she’s charismatic and generally a mess.

i was thinking chrysi shows up a couple days before her bday & you know. dismembered arm is found as usual. YES, chrysi’s thrilled abt this!!! VERY important to know!!! honestly, it’s a relief for her to find that arm, bc the vibes in that diner were in SHAMBLES. she was rlly trying to avoid eye contact w jacks and jacks was staring her down w his laser eyes. put those things AWAY, it’s literally four in the afternoon…

the party scene happens on chrysi’s bday itself, and guess who FUCKING FORGOT IT WAS HER BDAY. when the rest of their friends arrive at the party later (bc unfortunately, chrysi had to drive jacks out. she’s going to scream. that’s the worst, most awkward car ride over ever) & wish her happy bday, jacks is like “😦 oh………. happy birthday……….” <- has been in the same space as her for the past two hours. like. damn.

JACKS is the one that gets drunk (saw an ex, to which chrysi says, “you can’t run away from the town’s population”, since jacks is a serial dater), so chrysi takes him home and it’s the worstttt. she should’ve stayed at college. ((actually, jacks asks why she came home.. he’s rlly glad but he’s worried for her. unfortunately for him, he does NOT phrase it like that and chrysi gets even angrier w him))

they start repairing their relationship right around the same time chrysi starts seeing cult members / having fucked up dreams. so mostly, jacks comments on how exhausted and ill she looks. you really know how to compliment a girl, don’t you??

on one of their outings, chrysi finds out that jacks hasn’t rlly dated anyone in a while (omg.. theyre both single at the same time again.. which hasn’t occurred since jacks ruined their makeout session in senior year of high school!!!! wrow!!!!!) but anyway. still have to unpack allllllll the drama of high school before it goes anywhere.

their halloween celebration is fun.. i think that jacks would jst tag along w chrysi…. she’d win at the water balloon toss & they’d both laugh at their fortunes being read & jacks suspiciously goes missing when chrysi’s asked to cover for the witch play the town’s putting on. i jst think they need to reminisce abt halloween celebrations past… they neeeeeeed to kiss abt this, but they will NOT!!! never ever!!!!

jacks is the first to agree to research ghosts w chrysi <333 ughhh, he wants her so bad. does he believe in ghosts?? well.

THE SCENE IN THE WOODS, WHEN SHE GETS SHOT AT??? JACKS HAS TO BE PHYSICALLY DRAGGED AWAY SO HE DOESN’T ALSO GET SHOT AT. he’s sick with worry the whole time chrysi’s in the hospital. who cares abt the cult member keeping an eye on the appt??? he only cares abt how chrysi’s holding up…

he is dragging chrysi into the appt & picking her up bridal style when she shows up!!! he is putting her on the couch and tucking her in and curling up beside her!!!! they actually have a heart to heart there + chrysi begins to forgive him… before she “falls asleep” against him and jacks falls asleep too.. then chrysi gets up and goes to the woods w/o telling anyone.

jokes on her, bc jacks wakes up within ten minutes of her leaving bc he misses the feeling of her curled up against him. can NOT stop his obsessive crush and hyper-awareness of her. it’s been on overdrive since, like, ninth grade.

he’s the one to yell at her when they show up in the woods. OMG, JACKS ALSO HAS A CROSSBOW!!!! he fucking sucks at shooting at the guy tbh, he’s jst glad he managed to hit him.. then he hands off the crossbow to hold chrysi the whole way into the mines.

i haven’t rlly decided what i wanted to do here, bc i kinda want to deviate & play w story stuff regarding castor’s death.. kinda want it to be the valors that are part of the cult + they’re trying to bring castor back… but i also kinda want to up the level of danger throughout this whole time, so maybe castor’s already been revived as a vampire, but he’s like… super fucked up and ghoulish and nothing like the castor they knew… what if the mines were castor’s living quarters & they were jst trying to protect him?? plus this could mean that jacks can finally choose chrysi over castor !!!!!!! ,,,,mmm, yeah, i’m going to do that.

anyway. chrysi does NOT feel bad abt caving in the mines behind them!!!!!!! bye bye, valors!!! die then!!!!! jacks is a little more like, well, that was maybe not the best course of action? WHO CARES MAN!!!!!!

chrysi defs passed out bc visions or w/e but it’s FINE!!!!

the story would end w chrysi wishing jacks happy bday (fucked up two and a half weeks there, huh?) + jacks giving chrysi her bday present, bc he felt like an asshole that he a) forgot it was chrysi’s bday, and b) got blackout drunk on it… then they kiss abt it <333 and now they’re a couple!!!!

i wasn’t rlly thinking they’d be OFFICIALLY animals, but i think they’d both have a cat / fox motif…. lots of shirts + trinkets to call to mind those animals for them!!!!!!!!!!!! they should kiss…

Nozel pinched the bridge of his nose while sitting behind his desk. The conversation from earlier, or rather… a fight, played in his head. Ever since his daughter was but a wee child, she had shown that she had a strong mind; that she was determined and willing to voice her opinion. Which unfortunately made the two of them clash, more than he liked.

At least she’s strong…. He found himself thinking.

But. The fight. A foolish argument.

She didn’t want to attend a ball for the high nobility; the crème de la crème. Which was most often dry and unpleasant.

He too, had to admit that it was, most often, unpleasant.

But as royalty they needed to take care of such duties. It was a necessity. They couldn’t just do as they pleased. At least … when it came to matters such as these. So, she’d need to learn, that she couldn’t simply play to her own whims.

Even if he suspected that this wasn’t because of a ‘whim’. Because she had good work ethics too, he knew as much.

So, he sighed, gazing to the ceiling. He had never been the best when it came to talking things out. But. He’d have to. And he wanted to. Because he didn’t want to have a bad relations with his daughter. Oh no. He had treasured his bond with his mother, and wanted to have something similar with his daughter.

Wanted to. But had to admit that he wasn’t as good when it came to… a lot of things, as Acier. Or his wife, for that matter.

But. The fight hadn’t taken place between them, it had taken place between him, and his daughter. So, it was his to solve.

So, he took another deep breath, and got up from his chair, and made his way to his daughter’s room’s door. And he gave it a knock.

There was a pause, even if only a brief one, after which there was a sound asking “what do you want?”

He took a small pause of his own, until he spoke, as calmly as he could: “To talk.”

This time the silence was longer. She was thinking, about it, and he couldn’t blame her for it. Because he didn’t exactly like these situations either. Which meant that she was his daughter. She is his father’s daughter… he thought with faint, bittersweet amusement.

“Sure…” was said from the other side of the door, waking him from his thoughts.

He placed his hands onto the handle, and entered the room, seeing her seated on the bed. She had a glare in her eyes, ready to fight him. Or then it was just the Silva Stare, as his wife called it.

So that’s what she means by it…

“We need to talk,” he repeated, to which she only nodded.

He took a few steps further, after closing the door, and sat onto the bed. His posture slumped forward as he took another deep breath. It served as a moment to gather himself, to collect his thoughts before the actual conversation.

“I know you don’t want to go to that ball, but you-“

“No, I don’t.”

He waited for a while, glancing over his shoulder before turning his head forward again. “Why?” The question was frank, and perhaps too immediate. But. It was the only question he needed to ask.

She hesitated, waiting for a moment. But there was… a strange sense of a question, unasked, hanging in the air.

“Because… you’re going to … arrange a marriage for me?” It didn’t sound like the statement was meant as a question, and yet it flowed from her as such.

“And who claims that I’m doing such a thing?”

She paused for another moment, as if to look at him in disbelief. “People talk,” she only commented.

There was a silence, only a few seconds long, until an amused laugh left him. “They do, and they will make the most absurd clams you can imagine. But if you heat such rumours, don’t you think you should ask me?”

“You mean… that it’s not…”

He waited for her to finish the sentence.

But. She didn’t.

“No,” he answered. And waited for a moment.

Seconds ticked in the air, both of them waiting for the other to answer.

“Of course, I would tell you, if I had such plans. But… I don’t see a reason to make such plans for your future. Because you’d choose for yourself, despite my plans.” He looked over his shoulder, and gave her a nod. Before getting and making his way to the door.

“Dad?”

He halted his movements, and looked back at her. Expecting, despite the soft tone, to be faced with a stern expression.

But instead, there was a smile on her face.

“Thanx… for… y’know…”, she uttered before looking away in embarrassment. Because he was right, and she knew it. She should have asked about it from him instead of trusting the rumors of just some random person.

“Of course,” he nodded with a faint smile.

He might not have been as good at solving these things as his mother was, but… it seemed that he had learned a thing or two.

sigh rant time :/

so i, as every other (sane) pjo fan heard about the casting and immediately went feral. my friend and i were losing our shit. i was having a bad day and i saw the casting photo and it turned around so quick i was fucking ECSTATIC. like i was out here running around the house telling my mom, my heart was melting bro.

that lasted about 3 hours 😃

unfortunately, i opened the hellscape that is instagram to follow the actors and i came upon the comment section of the casting announcement that disney plus posted.

these comments were… not great, to say the least.

AND I’M SORRY OKAY I’M SORRY. i know it’s supposed to be a happy day. and usually these wouldn’t bother me that much but i don’t know i really thought the pjo fandom was different :/ like with how welcoming everyone was to walker idk i guess i momentarily forgot racism and sexism is apparently still a thing and just assumed it would be the same with annabeth.

and fr i do not wanna make ppl upset so if u wanna ignore this please go right ahead and do so bcoz i do not wanna ruin this for you like it was for me.

Omg ok this is probably going to be a rlly long ask my bad but I just read the end of the Christmas fic and then the new chapter of All the Kings Horses so there is a LOT to unpack..

Okkk The Christmas Fic first…

It was the absolute PERFECT ending honestly it wrapped it all up so well it was soo nice to finally see them just be able to spend time with each other and be comfortable for once without fictional George’s family somewhere in the house. The proposal was SO good oml it was so sweet and how he’d had the ring for like ten years ?!!!!!!! Also so nice to see it end when they’re both finally going to get the rest and happiness over Christmas that we’ve been waiting for the whole fic! Honestly the perfect end to such a good story.

And nowwww - all the kings horses bc I always have too much to say on it

-I was NOT ready for them to move onto the properly friends stage so quickly omg???? A jump scare (but an AMAZING one) !!! Their dynamic is soo percect and I’m so glad fictional Matty finally has a friend!!

-The show omlll I was so happy that fictional Matty got to actually compete w his horse like he’d been wanting too and the way you described it was soo perfect. It’s soo good reading it more from fictional George’s perspective as we don’t rlly know exactly how fictional Matty is actually feeling about the whole thing since he’s obviously got his past on his mind but is also happy about sally.. (but it looks like fictional George can read him pretty well already)

-And George asking him to COME OVER??!??!???!!!!!!! Omg I was not prepared for any of this so soon. And you wrote it soo well it was so sweet. And it’s amazing to finally see fictional George being the properly awkward one and fictional Matty having a bit more control!!!!

I know you mentioned this chapter didny quite read like you want it to but personally I thought it was PERFECT (as usual) and I can’t waittt to see what happens in the next chapter omg :)

AHHH I want to start by saying thank you SO MUCH for taking the time to send me such a long and lovely thought out ask! I apologize that it has taken me a few days to respond!

The Christmas Fic!! Ah! I'm so happy that you enjoyed the ending! I was also very happy with it - I know it wasn't really the *big dramatic ending* but it made me happy writing it and felt like it fit the characters I had created. Like of course Fictional!George would propose to Fictional!Matty while they were sitting in bed on Christmas Eve and then Fictional!Matty would blurt out that he has a stomach ulcer - like it was very on brand for them I think lol and YES Fictional!George has had the ring for ten years - it's actually something I came up with while working on the A&E Fic (and how Fictional!George very much notices which hand Fictional!Matty is wearing rings on when he breaks his wrist)

Now, on to All the King's Horses!

Yes! We wasted enough time we are moving onto FRIENDSHIP (also this chapter is implied to take place a few weeks after they all went to dinner, friendshipping has happened just off screen lol) now if Fictional!George can just get it together enough to admit his actual feelings...

Fictional!Matty is having some complex feelings thanks to some complex trauma and Fictional!George doesn't even know the half of it! We might learn some more about this whole situation though in the next chapter... might also find out what The Accident really was 👀

Fictional!George is ready to actually be friends! And that is NOT going to happen if they try and do it at their place of work lol Who knows maybe they'll even get to have a little snuggle lol

Also thank you so so much! I think I've written maybe four different versions of this chapter and none of them really ended up *exactly* how I wanted. BUT it did move the plot along which I am thankful for, and also so appreciative to hear that despite my own self doubts you enjoyed it!
