How are you doing?

hey! I am doing much better these days, PMDD is kicking my butt every month still but I am doing pretty well considering. I had to reduce my hours in work to help reclaim some of my life that PMDD takes but it helps a lot so I am very grateful I am able to do that. I got married last year and now am living with my spouse so that has been a dream come true and is such a big help too! I still have way too many hobbies and counting (thanks neopets) for my time available but I am slowly rotating them all and making the most out of my time finally!

I am really sorry that I was away for so long. At the time that I left, I was just so overwhelmed due to my PMDD getting worse and becoming unbearable, working whilst ill, trying to catch up on work / life missed due to ill health etc. and it all got a bit too much for me. Even the thought of coming back to the blog after a couple weeks was too overwhelming (because of how I was running the blog at the time). Later on I had also deleted Tumblr from my phone in an attempt to reduce screen time but it meant that I stopped using it completely and I regret that it largely contributed to me staying away for so long.

I want to give this blog a big old reboot and get it up and running again but I realised that I need to change the way that I run the blog. Previously I had this HUGE backlog of submissions that caused me to have to spend hours and hours one day of my weekend to get through so many submissions. I wanted to just power through until eventually I’d get to the point where I’d just be able to handle submissions as soon as they come in then and there but there was just too many and it took too much of a toll and I hit breaking point. :(

So I’ve decided to just run the blog now how I've always wanted to - by dealing with submissions as and when they come in and opening/closing submissions to keep it to a manageable level (I'm sure this is how other blogs do it, I think I am just dumb lol). I will also post them immediately as and when they come in and only use the queue if I’m going to be posting several posts in a row to avoid spamming. It just means posting will be a bit more sporadic sometimes that’s all. However, in order for me to do this, I am going to have to omit the backlog (for now). I can always go back to the backlog and shave some off if I can handle it (or please feel free to resubmit anything I've not already posted).

I’ll make a new pinned post in a couple of days explicitly explaining the new changes to how the blog will be run behind the scenes, although honestly it’s not going to affect much on you guys side of things, you will still see the same content and submit the same way. I just want to add a rule to say please do not submit more than one post a day and that I’ll open/close submissions to keep things manageable. Submissions will stay off until that post comes out so just bear with me (🐻) a little longer!

Just want to say before I end this really long post (they always get so out of hand lol) that I MISSED YOU GUYS TOO and I LOVE YOU ALL and your kind messages made me so very motivated to get this going again, thank you! 🥺❤️ I can’t wait to bring you more of these little critters we love so much once again :)

time for the obligatory post about what episodes I want to see in the upcoming leverage season(s)

(for reference, I made this similar post in 2020 after the reboot was announced. I'm pasting some from that post bc I still want them to happen lol)

new ideas:

I mentioned a date night episode in the last post (apollo really did bless me with foresight for the date night job on that one) but for considerment: ot3 date night. possibly their first date night after they all get together. breanna and sophie know it's happening (harry is, like, peripherally aware) and some crime hijinks are going down and the three of them are frantically trying to stop bad things from happening that are going to interfere with the date. I want to see them going through it behind the metaphorical curtain. I want to see breanna fighting for her life trying to out-hack the hacker that is going to ruin their ten-part itineraried date. harry has to get in a fistfight and eliot is so proud about it when he finds out after everything is over

tree law episode. harry has been frothing at the mouth about it since it was made. his life has been moving him towards this penultimate moment. breanna thinks it's HILARIOUS and cheers him on 100% of the way. she is VERY enthusiastic about this con

I'm not going to mention certain things because I've seen jrogers posting on bluesky social and I know he might be already writing some of those plots

con that the food trucks have plot-relevance. like, one of his food truck stations is being harassed /victimized by, like, a local gang or something that takes advantage of food truck/cart workers and the team steps in. the actual (veteran) food truck workers get involved in the con. leverage international might just have gained a few retainer members

quinn should come back for an episode. I know the actor is friends with ckane. they should make it happen because it would be iconic and I said so

on a similar note, ckane is friends with jensen ackles and. guys. wouldn't it- wouldn't it be extremely funny if a flame from eliot's past named sean sylvester who is a rugged drifter with a questionable past

episode where tara or maggie (or BOTH, can you imagine how powerful that would be???) come back and there is slight flirting with sophie possibly??? that or very obvious chemistry from a past tryst. sophie has slept with both of them, I know it in my heart of hearts. bonus points if tara and maggie fall in love (I think it would be funny. maggie's taste in men is canonically atrocious, I think she deserves someone like tara at this point)

I just want a lot of side characters to come back, okay? sue me I miss them

gonna put the rest under the cut since this post has become obscenely long

not episode-specific, but I want more mentions of the korean leverage team. and all the other teams too! we know that in canon there is the south korean one, the nigerian one, and one in london (I think that's it for mentions so far, but correct me if I'm wrong!)

episodes addressing issues with american imperialism and its effects on minorities and marginalized communities, specifically within this country (there aren't a lot of episodes where they are actively out of country)

dear fucking god take a more abolitionist stance on policing I'm begging. would it KILL you to not be weird about cops? pls just punch some more cops. take down white supremacist cops, I'm sure you can scrounge something up bffrrn

women's rights episodes. I know it's kind of recent, but episodes about accessibility of stuff like birth control, abortion access, etc. y'all are capable of making excellent episodes on that I know it

more climate crisis-related episodes. god knows you're feeling it in the deep south

taking down a corrupt megachurch pastor (although lbr, there is no ethical megachurch anything and you can fight me on this)

something to do with ace rights bc I think it would be really cool to see the team advocate for that stuff, especially since breanna is canon ace

helping a polycule that is being victimized by X organization/entity (maybe a housing association or medical or something???). breanna is bombastic side-eyeing the ot3 the entire time. it is making hardison sweat. sophie thinks it's hilarious

taking down 'writers' that use ai and self-publish AND/OR people that take original/fan works off of like ao3 and wattpad and publish them for personal profits without the author's consent. breanna would have a field day with this (god herself could try to convince me that girl does not read/write fanfic and I wouldn't believe it)

episode about underfunded public schools. we saw corrupt private schools in the fairy godparents job but I want an episode that would make abbot elementary writers proud

episode addressing native/indigenous. eliot is from oklahoma, I'm sure he is well aware of the health/job/economic/etc disparities on reservations. I will email jrogers about it myself if I have to- it anyone can get people going about native rights through a tv show it would be leverage.

I sent an ask to wil wheaton once asking if he was open to returning to leverage and I think he said he would be down for it. but chaos either has to be a reluctant ally to leverage international and is being handled by quinn as a hitter OR he is just. in jail. bc he sucks.

bpas and/or pfas episode. breanna has mentioned microplastics before but I want more

the team tears the shit out of conversion therapy camp owners and plants the seeds for legislation that will punish parents that try to send their kids to those hellscapes

while we're at it, I'd love to see an ep where they tackle the trans bathroom issue. god knows the news doesn't talk about it nearly enough

something to do with foster care. they end up starting some sort of foster care network that past clients/allies can take part in. maybe a mentorship program for kids that want to do what they do one day (they are very reluctant to encourage kids to participate in crime BUT if that is the avenue that they are going to inevitably go towards, they guide them in the right direction). nana makes an appearance (*insert 'everybody liked that' meme*)

prison industrial complex episode. I KNOW we had the jailhouse job BUT we really need this in our year of 2024

another episode on corrupt influencers. maybe influencer parents? dear god pls take them down a notch

ep where there is an underlying message that tells you how to avoid becoming victim to scams or something, or like is a tutorial for how to identify scams you might fall victim to (sorry, I just have to say this after two separate people tried to pig butcher me in less than two (2) weeks))

not to say I want them to do an ep calling out cop city, but it would feel really good to watch the leverage team rip that concept to SHREDS

the minimum wage job. need I say more? we deserve the catharsis

pls go after goodwill execs, esp the ones in the pnw that have their sector as for-profit and have become millionaires+ because of it while paying their staff (especially disabled staff) fucking pennies

while we're on the topic, pls call out salvation army (the corporation)

I think that breanna should be able to go off about mass/over consumption as a treat. I 100% believe she has Thoughts about it. like, she will absolutely call out the corporations that are responsible for these trends, but also she should be allowed to mention our tendency for overconsumption as a society. obviously there are a few corporations that are doing most of the world's pollution/ecological damage, but we should be doing our part too and I KNOW it would be in-character for her to go off on it

I bet she has a LOT to say about influencers, tbh. obviously not all influencers are bad, but there are sooooo many problematic ones and problems within the influencer industry

sizing discrimination in the modeling/clothing industry. let eliot talk about how there are no perfect bodies. also while I'm on the subject, can we PLS have more body-diverse background actors on the show? I know this is nitpicky but I'd really love to see some more people that look like me, even if they are just in the background

a thinly veiled writers' rights episode (I'm looking at you media execs and the stupid amount of time it took for you to comply to the WGA demands)

something to do with media companies making entire movies/tv shows and then fucking cancelling them/not releasing them and using them as tax write-offs. every time it happens it baffles me. that is cartoonishly stupid villain shit. I can't imagine lovingly working on a project for a year plus and then the company just going, nah, we aren't going to release it because you suck and it's a good business move

comicon job. I said it before and I will say it again- we deserve it!!! come on, it's the age of the geek after all!!! (in the last post I also said a ren faire ep, but I will let the card game job count for that)

summer camp ep? I saw a tumblr fic about it and I think it could be cute. it could kinda be like the fairy godparents job- eliot in charge of some type of sports (archery, fencing, etc), hardison would be in charge of arts and crafts (this boy might be a genius with tech and in general tbh, but the show did such a good job of showing that he’s also very talented with the arts- sculpting the statue for the miracle job, forging the old diary in the king george job, etc), parker would LOVE to be in charge of a high ropes course. breanna would totally be down for some sort of nerdy kid robotics or simple, traditional camp games (can't go wrong with the classics. everyone loves making bracelets!) I feel like it's too stereotypical to have sophie have kids put on a play but we all know that's exactly what she would do. idk for harry? I think he has the same traditional camp activities vibe as breanna. he's in it for the nostalgia. OR something to do with videogames

please, please, please, please, please make an episode where they take down a cult, im begging. that would be such a good episode. definitely a mindfuck episode like the experimental job (4x11). I’ve seen a few posts about a job dealing with a cult (here’s one) and I think it would be really interesting

MORE STERLING being DONE with leverage shenanigans!!! give me feral!sterling like in the frame-up job (5x10)!!! give me sterling that protests every step of the way but conveniently looks away and “whoops, the team just disappeared, I have no idea how that happened!!! diddly dang darn it, they got away again!!! sorry guys!!!” bonus points if mcsweeten is there too and also participates in intervening hijinks

the team takes down a circus that is still using and abusing wild animals!!! because first I’d LOVE to see acrobat!parker swinging up in the air like a pro and being in her element, but also because those places are the fucking worst and need to Go Down. give me eliot having to pose as an animal trainer with deep sympathy for the animals being abused, quietly talking soothing words to them when he thinks no one is around (correction: hardison is, in fact, around, and filming his boyfriend’s softness to save for later). give me charismatic hardison playing the role of ringmaster, running and flaunting about and being passive-aggressive to the circus master. give me eliot freeing the animals from their chains when they are finally able to shut the place down and relocate the animals to sanctuaries (his hands shaking just a little as twists the key in the lock, because he too was once an abused, caged animal in his own right and he knows how liberating it is to finally be free).

Fr, this is one of the only Strawberry Shortcake reboots that I’ll tolerate due to this lol I’m already introducing my baby cousins the 2003 version too

Also, I gave it a chance and it’s honestly not bad, of course I miss the the girls being in Strawberry Land and I miss Angel Cake and Ginger Snap but I understand that things change

When I saw what they did to Orange Blossom in Berry Bitty Adventures (2009 reboot) I was so disappointed

technically my third post of the week,, as much as i'd like to wait till next week or monday, i really like the hc i did for this week! so consider this a bonus lol

prompt: gifts mc recieves from the bros/dateables that mean a lot between the two that not everyone can understand genre: fluffy, very fluff (asmo's is slightly suggestive), gn!mc pairings: bros, dateables + luke (per usual, pet names from here)

After growing close to demons and angels alike, even a human sorcerer, you were bound to receive a gift or two as thanks for being a friend, but when Solomon was the first to give you a gift, that being a vial of his blood, you reciprocated with your own vial.

You’ve gotten stares, questions and even attempts of theft of your vial, but you hold it close and smack away a hand when it comes close, unless it was the donor himself. However, some of the others around you have been handing you a few too many items too, like..

LUCIFER

The pen he officiated you being the exchange student

He wasn’t connect to it at all but after a late night of work, he noticed it’s ink running low and you appeared with a new vial

With a smile and a quick peck on your cheek, he mumbles, “Thank you, my dear.”

You reciprocate with a peck on his lips

Before you walk away, he intertwined his fingers with yours and brings you close, his face brushing against your abdomen

“I want you to have this pen.”

“Why? You need it right now.”

“I have many others, my dear.”

He let go of your hand and when you felt something in it, you looked down at his pen that was decorated with gold details

It took.. A lot out of you to even give you a hint about why he wanted to give you it

“Do you remember how I chose you, my dear? I still had to officiate it after the picking, perhaps I feel that’s the pen I did it in.”

MAMMON

His sunglasses, at least for a while, but he can always buy a new pair! (You’ll match..)

He HATES looking at that vial, and to block your vision a little, he popped his sunglasses on your face

They were sliding down your face a lot so you had to push it up a lot

“Mammonie?” His head popped up from the crook of your neck, “Do you want your glasses back?”

“Do ya not like them? I have others I can give ya.”

Pause to allow Mammon process

He has reburied his face to hide the blush that’s creeping to his ears

Give him 3-5 business days to get back to you (he won’t last more than an hour)

Whenever you’re around him, expect him to slowly slip his sunglasses on your face

Is VERY CAREFUL to not poke your eye

Already has another pair in case you take his originals

Physically cannot look at you either or he will blush like a maniac

LEVIATHAN

An author and artist signed manga

Not just any manga, it’s ‘I refuse to admit I’m jealous that my significant other got a gift from someone else and HAVE to get them something without them knowing, but I’m not jealous, I swear!’

It’s a manga he read recently and was absorbed in

Course, poking his cheek or any physical contact snapped him out of it, like tonight

“W-When did you get here, and why d-did you poke my cheek!?”

“I wanted to come visit you, Levichan.”

His heart might’ve stopped for a second, let Leviathan.exe reboot

“Are you reading a new manga?”

“Y-Yeah.. I was gonna give it to you when I was d-done..”

And by give it to you, he meant it

Finishes it in a couple of hours then stops by your room with an equally red face than before

Doesn’t say a word, just hands you the manga and runs once it’s in your hands

Until he’s far away, to which you hear, “I-I hope you like it, player 2!!”

SATAN

Something with cats, books or that can cause mischief

So, why not combine it all?

He gave you a gift box with books you’d been looking for and a set of pens you kept missing the sale of

Those pens though, we’re disappearing ink, and only worked under a black light, the ink existed for about 5 minutes then disappeared

You figured that out pretty quickly when making notes on the book on a few sticky notes

“Satan?” He hummed in acknowledgment, “I think you got the disappearing ink by accident.”

“It wasn’t by accident.”

You use this chance to write him notes that he’d have to wait ages to decipher, as slight revenge

Just write simple messages like ‘I love you’ or a heart to fuck with him

Though expect a few back with a smug smile

Also borrows those pens to cause (subtle, shockingly) problems to Lucifer’s work

And will let you join him if you want to, but don’t expect to get away with it when you’re both giggling away in Lucifer’s office

ASMODEUS

Can and will get you lingerie or toys for your own pleasure

But a more tame thing is love letters or doing as he did before; spa days

The love letters are all about him gushing over you

He doesn’t give them daily since he wants you to savor the fact he wrote that letter, but he really really wants to

He loves your face when he hands them to you, when you open it and how your eyes soften as you read what he wrote

You REALLY know how to make him fall for you all over again, do you?

His spa days with you become much more thorough

You want a head massage today? Legs? Arms? Whatever you want, he’ll take care of while grazing your skin with his lips (or teeth, if you’re both in that mood)

His goal is to see you flushed or blissed out, or both, that’s his ultimate goal!

The lingerie and toys are much more specific and may take some testing or special measurements, just a small warning

BEELZEBUB

His jacket, and would fully give it to you for a day if you ask

The thing’s huge on you and you have to scrunch up the sleeves a lot to use your hands

But it’s so soft inside and the fact it’s big makes it easy to get all comfy, the fur around the collar is a big bonus

The first time he gave it to you was cause it became cold out and you were shivering

Reassured you he wasn’t cold while rubbing your arms to warm you up faster

Most likely carried you home that night too

Now he’ll give you his jacket if you tug on it a certain way or if he has a match of Fangol and wants his good luck charm comfy

It helps him spot you a lot easier when he needs a confidence boost

Wave back at him with your hand still in the sleeve and he might lose a bit of focus though

BELPHEGOR

One of his favorite pillows but don’t expect it to stay forever

He doesn’t take it back completely, just takes it back when it smells a lot like you

Cuddles it, re-scents it, drops it back in your room and leaves

Unless you’re there, then you’re gonna have him flopping next to you and nuzzling your side for attention

At night he’ll come in for cuddles and smile like an idiot when you’re resting on his pillow

You have so many others, but the one you got from him was picked

It’s really nice for him to see

Snuggles into your bed with a small hum while you unconsciously intertwine your fingers into his hair

“Hi cuddle bug..”

“Hi sleep prince..”

DIAVOLO

He wanted to give you two things, but since he had to choose, he ‘combined them’

After some communication, he was able to get you a chamber to stay in while you’re at the castle

Thought he still prefers you in his room

The second thing was waiting on your bed

It was a necklace with a jewel that changes color depending on how it’s tilted

It was a jewel from the castle and Diavolo showed you where it came from

“You didn’t have to take that from your castle, Dia..”

Diavolo pouted before turning to you and taking your hands in his

“But I wanted to! That way, a part of Devildom is always with you, no matter where you may go.”

BARBATOS

Honestly, he must have a dozen tea sets for Diavolo to pick from

And he does the same for you when you come visit

Whatever set you want, he’ll bring for you

Today he offers it to you as he’s bringing you to your room

“I can’t take one of your tea sets, Barbie..”

His face softened slightly as he gently guided his hand along your cheek

“You’re not taking one, I’m giving you one, by choice. Please, pick your favorite. I have enough.”

Let’s you look over each set he has and carefully packages your choice while cooing over you

He is covering up his coos with compliments though, he just wants to make you flustered

Promises to bring you tea from time to time so you can get good use of the set

SIMEON

A quill and ink set, a very fancy one

He’s never said where he gets it and buys you new ink when you’re running out (to your dismay)

The quill feather is extremely soft and delicate

It’s ink glides across any paper with ease and is very subtle with how it sparkles

It’s a beautiful set, one Simeon droned on about in the past and you thought he got this for himself

“I thought about it, but I already have my own set for when I want to write. So, I thought I’d get you one.”

Does not elaborate further but happily shows you the perfect way to write calligraphy with the quill

Trying to convince him to let you buy the ink will cause him to shake his head while smiling before cupping your face with a, “No.”

LUKE

A decorated picture frame with a photo of you and him together

Simeon was with you when the picture was taken but Luke saw something cool and scurried off

Chasing after him, he begged you for a photo and you obliged before finding Simeon again

You don’t know when he printed it or when he began his little arts and crafts project, but it’s adorable

The frame has stars and little yellow dots on it

At the top, it says ‘best friend’ in little yellow letters with extra stars around it

He was very red handing it to you and extra nervous when you were looking at it

Give him a hug and thank the lil guy

Ease his poor little nerves and then set up his present so he can see it when he visits

SOLOMON

Listen.. Hear me out here..

Is it a little weird he has your blood and you have his? Maybe, but the blood pact hc rots my brain, I’m sorry

Aside from that, he does like toying around with yours while it hangs from his neck

He’s also just,, so fucking smug about it around others

Like the blood pact scar, he will rub the vial between his pointer finger and thumb

He finds it soothing, especially when you’re not around

And you, you can do whatever you want with his vial and he finds it interesting

DIGS into you when you come see him the day after getting it

“Enjoying your vial? I’m enjoying mine!”

Biggest grin he’s had in awhile, even bigger if you’re around the bros/angels

Toy with his vial around him, he’ll love it and do the same

Psst.. Trace the scar too.. Watch him melt instead of being smug

I don't see why they can't keep Dox in Holding forever; they had no problem pruning Lokis into the Void for forever. >.>

Dammit, Sylvie, it would have taken OB and Victor five seconds to sign each other's copies of the TVA Guidebook; could you not let them have their brief moment of fanboying joy?

OB's explanation of the Loom is very helpful here; it reminds me of the Doctor on Doctor Who explaining sciencey things to his companions on screen so that the kiddies (and adults, lol) at home could understand what was going on. (Okay, so the TVA as a TARDIS, discuss. Look at all those long corridors its got for running in!) I loved OB's "...the backlog of branches that was created when someone...*looks accusingly at Sylvie* ...killed He Who Remains and released all those branches and ruined my life." (Aw, come on, OB, you're out of the basement now! You're making friends and meeting admirers of your work!)

Loki claiming that the little figure in the model was clearly not him so why did he have to be the one to 'hoof it' and lob the throughput multiplier into the Loom? Well, Loki, you have very long legs and can run fast, also tradition has been established that your character is the one who gets sent to do the hard jobs for others; just be glad you're not being asked to steal Surtur's flame and doom Asgard this time around. (Of course, your decision to abscond with the Tesseract has already caused the TVA to erase the Asgard of your timeline, people and realm both, so...uh, never mind, pretend I never said anything.)

MOBIUS AND HIS PIE AGAIN. I SWEAR TO GOD THAT THE TVA LACES THE PIE WITH DRUGS TO KEEP ITS WORKERS DOCILE AND HAPPY WITH HAVING NO LIFE OUTSIDE OF WORK AND POSSIBLY ACTS AS A CONTINUAL DOSAGE OF SOMETHING THAT KEEPS THEM FROM REGAINING THEIR MEMORIES? MOBIUS CAN'T GO TOO LONG WITHOUT ANOTHER SLICE OF PIE BECAUSE HE'S EXPERIENCING THE WITHDRAWAL SYMPTOMS OF AN ADDICT. I was so happy to hear Sylvie call him out on his pie-seeking habits and his refusal to try to find out any information about the timeline he was pulled from. Like sure it might hurt to remember a family whom he'd lost, but I'd rather honour the memories of loved ones by remembering them than being too cowardly to do so.

I have to agree with the point I saw raised in another post of 'WHY do they have to fix the Loom? Surely all the multiple timelines managed to exist just fine on their own before it was created?' Although this time at the TVA is Loki's post-Thanos period when he was claiming the same thing in the Sacred Timeline, wanting to be a 'benevolent god'. So...that actually ties in.

And...what a cliffhanger; it's like FINALLY all the pieces are falling into place and the story is getting to someplace exciting. That was a good episode; I hope it keeps up this pace next week and something good happens if the Loom is going pear-shaped. I gotta try to remember to watch this on Thursday for a change.

PH ~Complaints~

This is the first of several pieces I will be making about this series. Reading Pandora hearts was an experience to say the least and I wanted to organize my thoughts into separate categories, because it’s too much to post out normally. Also I’m insane and I think it’ll be fun for me at least. These posts will contain spoilers but maybe it’ll spark people’s love for the series. Maybe it’ll get people to buy the manga volumes. Maybe the stars will align and it manifests an anime reboot (delusional).

With that out of the way, we will start with my complaints and nitpicks of the series. Which isn't a lot but there will be explaining to do here. As a disclaimer, these are things that I found worth mentioning and may not be any issues you had reading. I am going off my initial reading of ph too so if I miss anything, don’t come at me lol.

-> The most notable complaint I need to talk about first is early ph. But I bring it up because this is the main thing that can turn people away from the series. “The early chapters are slow” is a complaint I heard before starting ph. Upon looking back, it wasn’t necessarily slow for me and I enjoyed those parts. But when reading, it was chaotic and felt like nothing was moving. It felt like we were rushing to nowhere. I took several breaks because it was so overwhelming. And I wasn’t reading them physically but off of sites, I know a lot of you remember Bezarius, Liam, Shalon lol. The wonky translations in the early chapters aren’t mochijun’s fault of course, but it didn’t help matters for me.

So much information was jam-packed with an already intricate story. And granted, later on in the 50s-60s chaps, the world makes more sense. But when you haven’t gotten to that point, it’s a lot to take in. You can compare early parts of ph and vnc to see exactly what I mean. VnC’s introductory chapters are much more polished. And some stories work better that way but in ph’s case for me, the direction wasn’t clear. I mean you know the objective, finding Alice’s memories but after that it was just a bunch of “huh???” It wasn't until we met Elliot and Leo, eventually Rufus that everything became more coherent. And you can argue, “yeah you’re supposed to be confused” which is valid but it was a bit messy for me, and I know it's inspired by Alice in Wonderland.

But not only was it confusing and can be perceived as slow (though again not for me), these chapters are long. Certainly not a complaint, I loved having long chapters. But if you’re confused af, you feel as though the plot isn’t moving, and you have these long chapters to add. I see why people may drop the series because “it’s too convoluted and the author doesn’t know what they’re trying to say.” I don’t agree with that but I understand if they weren’t able to go past chapter 35 or something. But we all must remember this was mochijun's first real series. So I understand as well why its beginnings aren't that grounded and can forgive that.

->The second complaint is that there wasn't enough characterization of the Baskervilles squad (as in Lottie and her gang I'm excluding Zwei here) as individuals. What do I mean by this? You can say “well they weren’t that important” which I kinda disagree with because they were the antagonists we were worrying about for half of the story as they searched for their leader Glen.

We got depth given to them as a group, we see that there is a genuine, familial bond. I wanted to know their past or backstories and the most we got from was Lily. You can say we got Lottie too but I don't know I was left wanting more. We know Doug and Fang got Lily’s tattoo in solidarity which is my favorite moment from the squad. But who are they y’know? Fang had such a cool design, how did he join the Baskervilles? Doug is a nothing character. I haven’t read the light novels so these questions could be answered there but having read the manga, we should’ve gotten more.

-> Going from that, the whole Glen thing. Again, might be explained more in the light novels but from manga content, I wish we got more explanations and lore. Who was the first Glen? Who is Levi? He’s someone who we deserved more insight into and what made him so detached.

-> I wish we had more chain on chain fights. I read somewhere that mochijun had struggles mapping out action scenes so they were kept to a minimum. But I think due to that, we don't get to see the true extent of these chains' powers. And yes, Break's condition prevented him from using his chain much. But Break and Vincent's dynamic was great, a final showdown between them with their chains would've been so cool. Mad Hatter vs. Demios we were robbed...

-> Isla Yura in general. Not gonna lie, I forgot he existed. I can respect the role he played, especially knowing now mochijun based Dr. Moreau off him. He was a worthy threat and his obsession with Jack makes sense. But his personality just wasn’t it and rubbed me the wrong way. Stereotypical queer antagonist from the 2000s, we did not need this.

->This might be a biased one but Cheshire should've been a prominent character. We see he’s important to Alice but we got a whole mini-arc with him in the beginning, him appearing in the Break backstory and then he's gone until the final 8 chapters. I also wish he behaved like the cat he’s inspired by. Sassy, mischievous with a dash of dark humor. (though now I say that, Oz does have some of that). There was just so much potential that we simply didn’t explore with him.

-> Speaking of such, Sharon and Ada were so underused. I was expected more from Sharon’s arc and her Eques chain is so cool but that didn’t happen. Every moment with Ada was fantastic but she’s mostly put to the side which sucks. Her relationship with Oz was lacking for me, he comes back from the Abyss and we do not see him think of Ada until 15 chapters later? Her overall reactions to Oz dying essentially after the finale, learning her father’s death, none of this is there. These two had potential, Sharon even being part of the main five, that wasn’t delved into.

-> Vincent and Ada. Okay, lemme break it down. I kinda love them, they didn’t get together which was sad but was the best choice to make. But I do question why this relationship exists. To be honest, until the last 14 chapters I thought she dropped them completely. I was wondering what was the point of making them a whole thing and having read to the end, I still kind of think that. We got two or three main interactions with them and then we just never got back to Vince/Ada until the finale. It was as though the plot simply couldn’t make time for them, it was tightly knit at this point and everything was heading for utter insanity. But then, we get the emotional climax of Vincent’s character. We get Ada telling Vincent “I forgive you”. It hits hard because Vince is a top 5 character for me. But in terms of their relationship, it didn’t feel earned. I don’t think it was developed enough to get such a heavy moment like this.

Their last encounter from what I remember was in the headhunter arc, Ada telling Vince she’ll always be by his side. And while we see he cares about her safety then, I don’t think that means what they have is strong enough to break the self-hatred Vincent has built up for years. Why did it have to be Ada? I know Gil wasn’t getting through to him but if he told Gil what’d he had done. That he indirectly caused the tragedy of Sablier, and Gil really said fuck it, held him down and screamed “I forgive you! The outcome might’ve been the same. Vincent respected Elliot. Vincent looked up to Jack. Vincent grew to care about Ada. But to me, the only person he loved in this world was Gil. And in his last moments, that is all he had. So this whole Vince/Ada thing, while I enjoy them and definitely needed more, at the end I doubt how necessary it was for either of their characters.

->At last, the ending. I love the ending, let’s get that out of the way. Two things I need to say though. One, it did conclude faster than it should’ve. It’s not to a degree where it significantly brings it down but we could have used 5, 6 more chapters. Chapter 104 should’ve been cut in half, 104 ends with “see you later Gilbert” and 105 is total epilogue. That way, the events of 104 get to sink in with the reader. Second, and I know you saw this coming, Reim marrying Sharon. This is the one thing I see most fans have an issue with for the ending and I completely agree, this did not make any sense. It felt like the biggest last minute decision. I think mochijun and the magazine had reached the end of their rope because no one got together in the end. Oz and Alice didn’t become canon really, Gil is too gay, Elliot’s dead so we couldn’t even get elleo implied canon.

(Though you can make a whole other thread arguing how their entire relationship already was from how intimate they were) We all knew Rufus wasn’t gonna marry Sheryl, Vince and Ada went their separate ways. So it was just “alright, um….someone’s gotta get with someone.” And from what I know, there’s no artwork or moment in the series that hints in the slightest that this would happen. We never get a teasing moment from Break about them, Reim and Sharon are friends but the main connection between them is Break. I don't buy the whole "Break's death affecting Sharon deeply and she found comfort in Reim who shared her pain" because you don't have to marry someone who understands your grief. They can just be there for you as a friend. And there was no signs of romantic attraction AT ALL.

Which makes me doubt mochijun planned or even wanted to do this. Her hands might’ve been tied by higher-ups and she had no choice but to include this to deliver the finale she had in mind. This is pure speculation so I could be wrong but with that, this essay I guess, wraps up. There’s other stuff I may not have mentioned, like the jury thing is so absurd but I want to reserve that for my mochiverse theory. When it's all said and done, Pandora hearts is still an amazing series, mochijun has definitely improved as an author. Although - and forgive me if I ramble a bit here - this takes place in a Ruin equivalent time yeah? Wouldn’t Cassie be more banged up? It’d be sad but she probably would be right? :[

It’s okay, I’m sure Roxy could fix her up. She probably does her own car maintenance ‘cause she’s a badass.

Ooh, now I’m also wondering what a base-game Swap would be like…

Lol, it should take place during the day and Freddy’s trying to smuggle Gregory out, and shenanigans ensue! (Possibly Gregory is due to be scrapped, so Freddy wants to keep the clearly sentient, slightly feral-acting child-like robot from that fate. He got emotionally attached <3)

Of course, if Roxy and Freddy are visiting there then there is prolly some attraction attracting lone adult patrons.. idk what that means for changes to the theme of the Megaplex.. But that’s not important right now!

Also, the main obstacle for Freddy would just generally be that he is trying to steal a child-sized robot in broad daylight while the place is possibly open/at least has workers there that he has to dodge. Good luck to the big guy.

Actually, the now-humans could be workers at the Plex. Like say instead of having tons of bots all over, they only had a few (like Cassie, Gregory, and possibly Vanny?) that were designed specifically to seem/be completely harmless, and more childlike. Cassie and Gregory could’ve been made to attend birthday parties (especially of lonely/upset kids), and Vanny could be a playful and friendly older figure who helps lost kids and cheers up anyone who’s feeling down. (I’d probably include Vanessa as a security program assigned to Vanny because. Security guard. Plus we’ve already seen that with Moon.)

In this case Gregory would probably still be messed up and act weird and get retired and shut down to be scrapped for parts, leading to Freddy finding him and rebooting him and then deciding to take him home once he figures out what’s up.

That kinda begs the question of what everyone’s jobs would be in the Plex, ‘cause how would Freddy find Gregory? And why would Cassie and Roxy be close in this version?

Well I have some answers to that!! ….I have no idea what Freddy’s job would be! He has. Very little by way of interesting character traits. Same with Monty. Why are the men so uninteresting in this game. Maybe Freddy’s a manager, since he was the leader of the band? Maybe he was taking inventory when he found Gregory? Idk!

Chica is definitely easier to pick for because she actually has distinct traits, and gets the obvious choice of working in the kitchen/bakery. (On that note, this kind of feels like a lower tech AU with less automated jobs, so managerial work/cooking/other tasks that are automated in SB I’ll give to people lol)

Would it be a dick move to make Monty a janitor? Lmao I swear I don’t hate him but idk what to give him at this point. Night guard? He could be a night guard.

….do I need to assign Bonnie a job? Wouldn’t he technically be dead? (He’s associated with the wet floor bots right? He could be a janitor.)

Who I REALLY have ideas for is everybody’s favorite, Roxy!! Saved her for last cause I knew I’d go on about her. She would totally be the maintenance gal for the race track - keeping the karts in working order, making sure the track is safe to drive on, etc. I imagine she could also do general maintenance, but her main area she works in is the racetrack.

As for how she and Cassie met. Well. Roxy is shown to be a very insecure person in the games. So what if the people she knew were busy and forgot/missed her birthday? And a little bunny, built for accompanying lonely and upset folks on their birthday, sees how upset she is, and overhears Roxy talking to herself and mention her birthday?

Well, I’m just saying, that little bun might just go hunt down a spare small cake from the bakery to put some candles in, and saunter her way into the nearly empty room to place it right in front of her new friend, smile, and say “Happy birthday, Roxy!”

The thems <3 I hope any of this makes sense I am just Thinking About Them…..

OMG THESE ARE SUCH GOOD IDEAS ANON. BIG BRAINED !!! I love the job choices for the gang (Monty being a janitor/nightguard is so funny 😭) and Vanny being along with animatronic Cassie and Gregory is rlly good, it's something I definitely I thought of! (She would be a rabbit ofc)

And that last part IS SO CUUTE !! I need to draw young Roxy with Cassie.....

And to answer your first question: Yes, it takes place in ruin and she would be banged up. But!! I decided not to draw her ruined version because I wanted to show off her design, if that makes sense?? :0 when I do expand on this au, I'll change it in the future which will be PAINFUL :(

Ok, WHAT IS UP WITH TIANA AND NAVEEN'S SON?! THAT'S NOT THEIR KID! While the turning into a frog is cool, the poetry thing has got to go. Now while it is strange that NAVEEN's kid is all shy and stuff, to me honestly kind of makes sense. I mean, come on? If Tiana and Naveen were to ever have a kid, they would totally be a MAMA's BOY! But they would have MUCH better hair. But let's change his name to either Louis or Raymond. He also has a crush on charlotte's daughter! I think I'll name her Lenny. I also think he would have a wild crazy little sister. She's 7 and her name is Tina! She rides crocodies EVERYWHERE and wears big necklaces , hoop earings and bracelets with long curly pigtails! She and charlotte's daughter are best friends. And she's a daddy's girl! Their both wild and like adventures, and got his personality and winning smile! She's the next mama oldie! (Brair would love her lol) She doesn't like Apple though lol. She's very hyper and shakes people's hands hard like a cartoon XD.

Briar isn't as close to her parents as everyone thinks. She and Aurora fight a lot. She was a wild child. The West Wing wild child is what they called her when she was little. She always hated sleeping. Constantly saying "Well if I'm asleep, I'll miss everything! I won't know what's going on!". I think she would know how to shoot a bow and arrow.

Since Brair parties a lot, I like to think she causes a bit of mischief too. She pulls pranks around the school (mostly on the headmaster) and I can tell you she's been caught a few times.

For season 4:

Espsiode idea (4 parter): Brair gets caught pranking the headmaster (faybelle told on her) and she suspended. no parties, dentation for 2 weeks and on jantior duty. But instead of taking the punshiment, she pranks him again! And she's send home!

Pt2: Brair is sent home and everyone is upset that she was send away! Expelled! So everyone, Apple, Raven, Ella, maddie (and later faybelle) sneak out of school to go to brair's kingdom and convice her parents to let her come back! (Everyone else covers for them, with the help of baba yaga!) But when they get there her parents say no! But they do let them talk to her. Then brair tells them that she heard her parnets are going to punish her by making her follow her destiny early! PUT HER UNDER! AND SLEEP FOR A CENTURY! AND SHE'S ALREADY FALLING IN AND OUT OF CONSCIOUSNESS! With out knowing what to do, the girls go back to school empty handed.

Pt3: The girls snuck back to school later that night only to show up with no Briar. Everyone is wondering what happened and where is she. They didn't cover them for 2 DAYS FOR NOTHING! After they told everyone what happened their all silent. Everyone is at a loss for words. Brair is gone. They'll never see her again. Even Faybelle feels bad. She was just being a tattle-tail. She didn't mean to "kill" her! "You! This is all your fault!" Apple screams and points at Faybelle. "My best friend is going to be asleep for 100 years and it's all your fault!" Apple runs away crying followed by everyone else. Ella, Maddie, and Raven go up to Faybelle and ask her why she did it. "It was just a silly prank! She does them all the time! I'm just being the villain that I am! But I never wanted to actually put her to sleep!"

A little fic request for @6-paris-6 that they asked for a million years ago. I'm a bad, bad writer!

I also love how Ian just ~talks until they feel like they've solved the problem. I get it. I really do. We try. lol

The Dragon Will Heal us.

Ians personal phone was ringing... at work. Everyone that they knew from the outside, which was the subtotal of about four people collectively, all knew that ringing them at work was not an option, unless death was on the horizon.

The buzzing was set to only get all the more intense in their pocket the longer it rang for. "Give me.... Three seconds... I've just gotta....." They were typing that last piece of code into Ziggy furiously before hitting the enter key and grabbing for their phone and answering it without even looking

"Someone better be dying." Their dark humor was something only the person on the other end of the phone would get.

"SOS" The persons breathless, pre-hyperventilating voice on the other end said. Oh.

"Give me ten minutes.. Meet me at Give me coffee, kay?" ... The code word they'd both divised for a certain kind of awful day, and the name of the coffee shop just ten minutes from their appartment. Save our soul, and Give me coffee or Give me death.

Having fantastic work colleagues that were also 99% of your friends group as a whole meant that leaving their genius friend Jen in charge of their very own rebooted creation wasn't a worry at all... They also knew she would find a great way to explain to the others why they'd rushed out the door with their coat half on and their bag slung over their shoulder.

"Twelve minutes. Holy shit. Two minutes over the ETA. I'm getting better. It used to be an hour." They laughed as they sat down opposite their partner who already had their hands wrapped around their coffee mug, their eyes puffy and, fuck, yeah, there wasn't much left of that spark they had before leaving on the Friday before New Year.

"I missed spending the new year with someone I love, to spend time with family that don't even respect me enough to..." They trailed off as Ian reached over the table and pealed their hand from that cup to hold in theirs.

"Hey... Honey... It's okay... We're gonna have ~so many more new years together... Maybe the Luna new year is our celebration this year.. y'know, it's the year of the mighty dragon." They smiled softly. All they wanted on this earth was to solve the problems of their loved ones and would do about anything to do exactly that.

"I.... "

"I know..."

"I don't understand.. well, I kinda do, I know it's not easy for people to change their whole vocabulary towards someone they've known their whole life but.. The ones that aren't actively throwing insults at my entire self across the dinner table are doing something even more hurtful... They don't even ~try. I think... I think that might be worse, you know?"

"I do know." While Ian always had a supportive family, they'd encountered more than one friend that they treated as family do exactly the same thing as what they where describing.

"I've tried to condone it to myself as 'I dont need them to validate me, this is a personal journey that isn't based on others' but.... Maybe it is? Does that make what i'm feeling not legitimate in some way?"

"No, not at all. It's a journey that ~is based very much on the language others use towards you. You're not looking for anything remarkable, just... The same respect everyone else takes for granted. To be acknowledged for who you are. It's.... it's so out of our control, it's frustrating at times. You lay your heart and soul out for them to see when you tell them, come out the them.. It's like you show them a part of yourself that you're not even fully done understanding yourself and they just.... Yeah.. long way of saying that I get it." They let out a soft sigh and took a sip from their own coffee, leaving a red lip stain around the papery take out cup. "Come on, lets.... go for a walk. Clear our heads. Bring your coffee." They nodded as they slipped their coat on and moved to take their lovers hand.

Nestling their arm between theirs, they headed in the general direction of.... Nowhere in particular. They took a breath. Their partners silence made them sad, talking was absolutely both their thing.

"All you can do is surround yourself with people that do understand, so those moments you go back and spend time with the ones that don't, you'll eventually have the confidence to polietly correct them. You should come to a quiz night with the team.. Watch us get every square inch of our ass kicked by some sassily named opposition..."

"I know how competeitve you get." They laughed, for the first time that whole week " - but wouldn't it be... Breaching some kinda govenment law for an outsider to be there?"

"You're my plus one. Everyone has one on the team now. It's fashionable to have a partner at home that gets you through the mental and physical torture of losing your best friend to what is, essentially, a time machine. Very en vogue." They smiled brightly over at them and shook their hand, slowing the walk to a stop to turn to face them.

"People like to ignore or judge what they don't understand... Some people come round to the understanding of a blindly new concept that not everyones the same" They rolled their eyes with a chuckle "Some never do. But there will always be a support network here for you... whether we're friends or lovers or... we'll be here. Figuring yourself out is... Far beyond any of the stuff that floats inbetween it all. You're my lover.... You're my best friend first and foremost... That will never change."

Shugo Chara! Sequel Manga

I was supposed to make this post shortly after the news broke on 10/3 about the manga getting a sequel, but I got lazy. So it's late. And then it ended up being super long...

I saw the sentence on the cover of Nakayoshi earlier that weekend, and it didn't specify if it would be a sequel manga. It just said something about the issue containing information about a new project. So it could have gone either way, with that sentence being so vague. It was either a sequel manga or anime reboot. I was personally hoping for the latter. When there was a leak about it being a sequel manga I initially dismissed it. There was no concrete source for it, and with my prior knowledge of how this fandom lies I wasn't going to blindly believe something. I remember first joining this fandom way back in 2008, on a SC! forum called Guardian's Wish. Around 2009 when Crunchyroll first started streaming numerous ongoing anime at the time - the second season of SC! being one of them - the girls on Guardian's Wish would talk about how everyone on the Crunchyroll forums were leaking and lying about all kinds of things for SC!, claiming that their leaks were telling them what was to come in the manga, and it was ridiculous stupid shit like Ikuto having a dog Guardian Character. Lol, no. It was very hard to get Japanese raws back then, so leaks were all we had. Most of them were obvious lies. So I've grown to never believe anything the western fandom says. If I don't have a Japanese source for it, it's bullshit. This fandom still doesn't have its manga lore straight after all…

It was around Sunday night on the 1st (which was actually already the 2nd in Japan) that a Japanese Twitter account finally posted more concrete proof - an actual picture of the article in the issue. I had my legit source. It was a sequel manga… and honestly it wasn't what I wanted. I'm probably the only person in this fandom that didn't want a sequel manga. I wanted a faithful anime reboot. I was scared of a sequel manga. I didn't want them to give into pressure from fans and Nakayoshi to make a sequel manga and then have the story be worse than the original manga or have it ruin the ending. That would have disappointed me so much. The ending was perfect, I didn't want them to ruin it.

I feel like this fandom has constantly missed the point of this manga with the constant ship wars and cries for a sequel. The story of the Guardian Characters ended in Chapter 48 (Volume 11). Why do you think Volume 12 (the Encore chapters) was such a ship fest? That was them wrapping everything else up. Because they finished the main story with Volume 11. They pretty much say this here in a very old blog post about Chapter 48. They purposely made the manga very fast paced, and they admitted that some things had to be cut because of that, in particular chapters dealing with the other Guardians. Which is why Encore focused on the other characters initially.

I think we, the readers, were never supposed to know what Amu's would-be self is, because that would ruin and contradict the message the Guardian Characters were trying to send - that you can be whatever you want to be. It's a very positive message to send, especially to children. Why would they cancel out this message by immediately having Amu decide what she wants to be? This was always supposed to be left open ended. An answer to a fan question about Hikaru's egg hatching back in a 2010 Q&A session kind of supports my theory that Peach-Pit meant to leave things a little open ended. They said they had initially planned to have Hikaru's Guardian Character be revealed in the final chapter, but decided to leave it up to everyone's imagination instead. So that's why I didn't want a sequel. Clearly the ending of the manga was meant to be open ended, and it wrapped almost everything up perfectly.

And as for the shipping, because of course this is going to be brought up within this stupid fandom… I just laugh to myself whenever people STILL naively wonder who Amu ends up with. Are you kidding me?

First, did you not read my previous paragraph? Romance was not the main point of this manga. The Guardian Characters were. Plot first, romance second.

Second, are you people blind or just still willfully ignorant and unable to accept reality? Did you not actually read the manga? Did you not read the last chapter? Did you not listen to the drama CD of the final chapter? Most people haven't and it's shocking, even among the Japanese fandom, the amount of people who don't know about the drama CD adaption of the final chapter. The panel where they start holding hands at the wedding and Amu is having an internal monologue, reading it you think she's the one that says "one day", but in the drama CD both Amu and Ikuto say that line together. I need no other proof that this is canon. The kanji in their last names were also a dead giveaway, and as for the artbook notes for the final chapter title page…

Banri: It's the grand finale. Two people wearing white clothes and a bouquet… that was decided from the beginning. The Volume 12 version is drawn differently.

This was planned from the beginning. Obvious to anyone with functioning braincells, of course. And people who actually read the manga and not that awful, filler infested unfaithful train wreck of an anime. That's a different rant. It's no secret that I despise the anime and how it ruined everyone's character development, especially Amu's.

I did always find it rather odd that there were literally no title pages with just Amu and Tadase in them. You can see the artbook scans for the first artbook here and second artbook here. There was either a third person there or it was a group shot with the other Guardians. There were definitely some chapters early on where a Tadamu title page would have made perfect sense given the content of the chapter. But they just… never did it. It was always strange to me since every other shoujo manga in existence loves to troll readers with the love triangle (and Peach-Pit definitely did plenty of that) and usually that includes being on the title pages an equal amount… but not here. Sometimes I wonder if because this was their first shoujo manga, they didn't know what they were doing. Or maybe they were doing it on purpose.

I can't believe I've never talked about this one before, because it was something I noticed back in 2021 when the new editions were first revealed. A juicy little line I saw on the back of the new Volume 2...

I remember thinking... did I read that right?! Is my shitty Japanese working right?! Did they just admit this so blatantly?! It wasn't the word "suki" they used here either, they used "koi". Even with all the new illustrations, especially this one, they're not exactly being subtle about it anymore. I think that covers the shipping now...

Also, the "miracle fantasy" bit is the tagline the manga had when it was serialized in Nakayoshi.

I also really, really did not want a time skip sequel manga, and I am forever reminded of how badly time skips can go whenever I think of the Digimon Adventure 02 ending. They wrote themselves into such a fucking corner with that epilogue the current movies dealing with them as adults are so messy as a result. Not everything can have a nice clean time skip ending like FMA… and of course the shipping elements in SC! would have just made things even messier, further making people forget once again that the point wasn't the romance, it was the Guardian Characters...

So after this announcement I was left wondering, what kind of sequel manga is this going to be? Is it going to be like Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc and take place immediately after the original manga, or is it going to be like Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch Aqua, taking place in the future and being about the main character's children instead? I wanted the former, I was terrified of the latter.

Thank God Peach-Pit immediately came out and said exactly what kind of sequel this is going to be in a post on their pixiv Fanbox - it is going to take place while Amu and the others are in middle school. Hopefully that eases some fears like it did for me. Normally their pixiv Fanbox rules state not to share the information found on their pixiv Fanbox posts, however this particular article is listed as "All Users", and can be viewed by anyone who doesn't have an account or isn't paying for a plan. I think it's safe to share then. Everything else is locked behind a paywall, so I won't talk about those posts.

I honestly don't even know how they plan on continuing the story. I'm still convinced this is just Nakayoshi being greedy and forcing Peach-Pit to do a sequel because Nakayoshi's current cash cow - Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc - is ending soon. And with the success of SC!'s 15th Anniversary celebrations, with constant new merchandise and new illustrations, Nakayoshi knows they can milk this next. This is also why I think an anime reboot is still possible, and that they're just saving that news for much later. You don't spend almost 3 years now making new illustrations and merchandise just to give everyone a sequel manga which doesn't cost nearly as much as an anime adaption to make. Yes it still costs money, because art supplies are needed and publishing companies need to print it. However I imagine an anime reboot costs a lot more, especially if they want to get the original voice actors back, all of which are even more popular than they were back then. And they better get them back, because it would break my heart if they were all replaced. Don't even bother to reboot it then if it's not possible to get the original voice actors back. It just wouldn't be the same. And I only really care about the Guardians and Easter, all the minor characters and parents don't need their original voice actors back. Unless someone retired or passed away, then obviously a replacement has to be selected, and in those cases it's understandable. So again, I'm still hoping for a reboot, and I'm convinced they're just hoarding money in the meantime while they wait for a perfect chance to announce it. There's also the matter with Utau's songs... they definitely need to get the rights for those.

Another thing that makes me annoyed with Nakayoshi and the current state of shoujo manga as a whole is that trash like this gets an anime adaption before SC! gets a reboot?! Holy hell this manga is just so bad. I've been so disappointed with the crap running in Nakayoshi nowadays. Obviously I'm not talking about Cardcaptor Sakura, that's good, but everything else in Nakayoshi (like Vampire Dormitory) is just so bad. Shinkon dakedo Kataomoi does actually look sweet and wholesome, it's a shame there are no translations.

And then there's Chou ka Han ka: Gokudou-sama Afurete Afurete Nakasetai, a manga that used to run in Nakayoshi but it got so fucking raunchy they transferred it to a different more adult magazine. The shit I saw when I skimmed those pages make the shit Peach-Pit got away with in SC! look tame. SC! and Arisa really were one of the last good shoujo manga to run in this magazine… and I still need to get around to reading Sugar Sugar Rune and Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch. I've heard good things about them both.

The stuff running in Nakayoshi today is so bad that they have to bring back old classic stuff, first giving CCS a sequel, then Mermaid Melody, now SC!. In one way, it's a compliment to that classic stuff, finally giving them the recognition they deserve because they really were good. And then on the other hand it's insulting to the new stuff running in the magazine because Nakayoshi is basically saying none of them are good enough to compete with what came before them. I find that kind of sad. Instead of cultivating that new talent they just go back to manga that ended a while ago. And I'm afraid that doing that would just end up ruining everything that was good about those manga. They don't need sequels, what they need instead are faithful anime adaptions that respect the source material this time. That Tokyo Mew Mew reboot was so awful though, and it wasn't faithful to the manga at all.

I'm enjoying Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc though, so thankfully that sequel ended up being fine. At least Clamp's art actually improved a lot from the original manga, which brings me back to what I've been ranting about lately regarding Peach-Pit's art style not looking the same as it did back in 2010 when SC! first ended. I really hope they use this time before the sequel starts to work on their shoujo art style again, and making sure the story is just as good as the original. I really want this to do good because I love this manga, I'm just hesitant to trust Nakayoshi's intentions here. I'm convinced they're just doing this because CCS is ending and they needed something new to milk money from.

Holy shit did this end up being really long. Damn, I had way too much to say about this, hopefully it isn't too much of a confusing mess.

It's become a love story!

Part 1! Part 3!

This is part 2 of Ace stealing a label printer! @rose-lord-of-simps decided to venture it into ADeuce, it made it's ship sail in my headcanons, lol.

I have little breaks of conversation, and because it's just spurt they're gonna be colored. Code! Ace, Deuce, Yuu/MC. These are the colors I'm using!

Again! Whatever is colored purple, or has purple quotes(""), Rose did!

☆ Yuu took the label printer for a minute, and stuck "kiss here" right on his cheek.

~ ♡ Straight up yelled for Deuce to come over.

"DEUCE!" "Ow!" "Shut up." "WHAT?!" "COME OVER HERE!" "WHY?!" "JUST DO IT!"

☆ It takes him a bit of yelling, but he comes over.

"Read it." "Why?" "Just do it!"

☆ When Deuce reads it, he gets hella flustered. Like, he needs a reboot flustered. Bluescreens.

☆ It goes one of two ways.

~ ♡ Either, Yuu gets tired of waiting, and they just shove him into Ace.

"What the fuck does the label even say, Deuce? Why ate you acting str-" As Ace turns his head, the shove, that was admittedly a little harder than Yuu meant to do, gets him a kiss.

~ ♡ Orr...

~ ♡ Ace gets tired of standing and looks at what the label says.

Deuce, still stunned, doesn't do anything. He stands still, red faced. Ace, who has an idea of what Yuu planed and is getting tired of being stared at, peels the label off of his cheek and reads it. He's flustered at what it says, his intuition being correct, and then insecurity hits hard. His thoughts being, 'he really doesn't want to kiss me' and 'he really doesn't want me like that?' He throws the label in the trash, and tries to play it off, like he isn't hurt. "Pfft, really Yuu? If that's your idea of a prank, it's a really lame one. Not even good. Anyway, hey! Let's go put 'whore' on Caters door!" As Ace leaves his spot, Deuce finally snaps out of his little bluescreen state and his immediate thought is 'damn...I missed my chance...'

☆ Deuce feels bad, he didn't want this to happen. He wanted to kiss Ace, just...not like that. Not with a label put on Ace's cheek telling him to.

☆ They go, they go and cause more chaos. Deuce is a little out of it, quiet and not contributing much after the stunt Yuu pulled.

~ ♡ Yuu feels a little upset with themselves for possibly fucking up a good friendship.

~ ♡ They were sure, so sure, that they liked each other. That Ace liked Deuce too.

~ ♡ Deuce had told Yuu that he thinks he has a crush on Ace, that he doesn't know how to deal with it or tell him.

~ ♡ When Ace had hungout with Yuu alone, every time they had talked about Deuce, Ace looked like he was in love. And while he hadn't outright confessed to liking Deuce, his look alone convinced Yuu that he liked him. Could that just've been Ace ignoring Yuu and thinking of someone else?

☆ Anyway, they have their fun. And when it's later, and Yuu and Grimm have left, Deuce and Ace linger about and hang about for longer.

Deuce wants to confess, and he does. Man doesn't know anything about subtlety. How to be subtle or picking up on subtlety. So, he just says what he's thinking. "I wanted to kiss your cheek." And he says that not fully looking at Ace, because while he means it, he's still embarrassed to say it. Ace just kinda looks at him, very confused, as he's already forgotten about the 'kiss here' label. "What?" "It's not that I didn't want to... you know, I just- I've never even held hands with anyone, I'm bad at affection." "Deuce, you don't have to explain this to me, it's not like we're dating or anything, don't worry." "I will worry! You looked so sad after removing it..." "It's fine! I'm fine! Shut. Up." "But it's not fine!" "Why not?" "Because I wanted to kiss you!" And Ace's heart stops. "I want to hold hands with you! In a not friends way, Ace! And I don't...I don't know what to do about it." And...they don't kiss. Ace doesn't lean in. But, he does reach for Deuce's hand, deciding to awkwardly hold it, not looking at his face. And Deuce squeezes his hand back, continuing to spout his hear out. He goes on until Ace has to shut him up. And Ace pulls him into a hug, both boys being close to tears.

☆ Deuce absolutely tells his mother.

~ ♡ He's so embarrassed that he has to tell her that he announced his crush through a fucking label printer.

~ ♡ That it was a set up from their mutual friend.

~ ♡ That he was almost heart broken and almost didn't have a chance to explain himself.

☆ His mom is laughing and gushing, happy that her baby boy got to tell his crush he likes them.

~ ♡ She absolutely thinks it's the cutest shit, and will absolutely tease the hell out of him when he comes back for a visit.

~ ♡ Ace overhears and teases Deuce while he's still on call with his mother, like he also wasn't almost heartbroken and like he isn't blushing to high hell.

☆ When Deuce ends the call, he starts to wrestle Ace out of embarrassment.

☆ Both of them are asexual, and neither of them think to tell each other, simply because it just doesn't come up.

~ ♡ They both think it's gross, so they just snuggle up and watch really bad horror movies together.

☆ Someone homophobic tries to tease them like, "ew, who's the bottom?"

~ ♡ They're both hell confused, thinking "why the hell would I look at his ass bro?"

~ ♡ And then they both go on there merry way to Yuu, not giving a fuck about this rando.

~ ♡ Deuce probably wants, or tries, to knock this dudes lights out, but Ace just grabs his arm drags his ass away.

☆ Sometime later in their relationship, maybe their second or third year of school/dating, one or both of them will realize that the other hasn't brought up or asked about sex.

~ ♡ It sparks something in their shared braincell that it's something that they should probably talk about.

~ ♡ And Ace knows he's ace. Deuce has just never thought about, or never really cared about it.

☆ If they both realize, they start talking about it at the same time.

"Hey, so uh... Oh, sorry, you first-" Deuce stays quiet, because he wants to be polite to his boyfriend, so Ace, realizing he isn't gonna talk after a minute, starts talking first. "So...you haven't uh....god this is hard to talk about..." And Deuce, being clueless even though he's thinking the same exact thing Ace is, asks "What is?" and it's almost clear as day on his face that he's thinking the worst. "You uh, you haven't...brought up...sex?"

☆ And poor, poor Deuce just blanks again. And he's looking at Ace the same way he looked at Malleus after he fixed his Tamagotchi.

~ ♡ He's so relieved that his first and only partner isn't breaking up with him. But he's so confused at the same time.

~ ♡ Yeah, he wanted to bring up the same topic, but he wasn't sure that Ace wanted to talk about it too.

And Ace just keeps going. He's a bit too embarrassed about it so he's looking down, and because he's looking away from Deuce, he doesn't notice that his boyfriend is just, looking at him. Basically staring into space, even though he is paying attention. "So, because you haven't brought it up, I wanted to know if...you're ace too?" And Deuce, his himbo self, who doesn't know a thing about LGBTQ+ terms, only knowing the basics gay, bi, and lesbian, just confusedly goes, "No?? You're Ace?" Bare with him, he's having a dumb moment and is only thinking it's Aces' name. Ace looks up, not seeing the confusion on Deuce's face, as he's looking everywhere but his face. "Yeah, I'm ace. I'm not really interested/have very little interest in having sex." Deuce gets it now, kind of. "Oh! Same!" ...And now Ace is confused. "But...you just said you weren't ace?" "Cause I'm not?" And Ace now realizes that he's attracted to morons. "...No...No, dude, babe, I don't mean in names. I mean asexual." "...Oh? Oh. Ooohhhhh." "I love you, but for Sevens sake you're dumb." "Awww, I love you too!" and he just makes this face -> ^^ And then it turns to realization "...wait a minute, HEY!" and now he's pouting.

☆ Ace starts laughing at Deuce, only to abruptly stop a couple seconds after he realized what he said and starts turning redder than Riddles hair.

~ ♡ He needs a reboot.

☆ Deuce gets a little worried, cause his partner was just laughing at him and now he looks likes he's having a fever.

"Are you okay?" "I- you- we- aaaAaaAaAHHHHH!" "Ace, hun, I don't know what you're trying to say. Can you calm down a little?" "YOU JUST SAID 'I LOVE YOU'! I JUST SAID 'I LOVE YOU'!" He's having a panic moment, give him a minute. After he's said that, Deuce is also having a panic. He goes beat red and hides his face in his hands. "....Say it again." "Uh- huh- wha-?" "Come on, don't...don't make me ask again." "...I love you?" "Mm! Again?" He's red in the face as he let's out a startled squeak. "I love you." It's firmer now, no hint of question, but said with a nervous, yet adoring, laughter.

☆ The interaction a couple more times, whoever you pictured(Deuce, personally, duh) asking "again" ends up jumping on the other, giving him a kiss.

~ ♡ It shocks him, but he's quick to reciprocate.

~ ♡ I would say it's the first time they kissed, but I'd be a liar(I forgot what year this was for them, lol. It's been 2+, they almost definitely kissed.)

~ ~ ♡ While it wasn't their first kiss, it's one of their more memorable ones.

☆ No matter who said what, Deuce is picking Ace up, and spinning them around, he's just so happy. They both start laughing, Ace is on the verge of happy tears and Deuce is already crying.

"Do I even weigh anything to you?" "No! It's like holding a couple of grapes." While Deuce is either giving a sheepish smile, or a bright beam of a smile, Ace is becoming a blushing mess. Especially after the first time he asks. Every once in a while, I'd say for every special occasion, every four or five months, or whenever Ace has forgotten he's like a feather to Deuce, he will always ask this question. And every single time, he blushes almost just as hard as the first time. It doesn't help that Deuce always ends his answer with a kiss to Ace's cheek.

In honour of Newsies being the musical done in Love, East High, I have decided to cast the characters in this show.

This cast list will only be using characters who haven't graduated so sorry EJ (still love ya)

Seb Matthew-Smith as Jack Kelly: JOE SERAFINI WOULD SLAY SANTA FE. Don't debate me on this casting choice because I personally believe that any role Jeremy Jordan has played should be played by Joe Serafini.

Ashlyn Caswell as Katherine Plumber: She's witty and values hard work. Julia Lester already has impeccable comedic timing and would nail Watch What Happens.

Ricky Bowen as Davey Jacobs: If Ricky can't play Jack, then he's playing Davey. Ricky's quite passionate like Davey and is always supportive towards his friends.

Big Red as Crutchie: THIS WOULD BE SO CUTE! He has the innocent charm like Crutchie and would bring everyone to tears with his rendition of Letter to the Refuge.

Kourtney Greene as Medda Larkin: THE ONLY PERSON WHO WOULD NAIL THAT'S RICH IS MISS KOURTNEY GREENE HERSELF. Kourtney has such a lively presence that is needed for Medda and is quite selfless like Medda.

Emmy as Les Jacobs: Gender swapped Les Jacobs is a must! Emmy is quite fearless and hilarious like Les. She's also the only character who is in the age range to play Les so yeah... also, Ricky and Emmy friendship since they'll be playing siblings.

Jet as Pulitzer: Hear me out? Jet has already played a villain before (Hans) and I think he would absolutely pull off Pulitzer. His rendition of Bottom Line would dominate the charts (literally).

Carlos Rodriguez as Racetrack: I'M DYING I'M DECEASED YES. The comedic timing would be IMPECCABLE and Carlos would have so much fun choreographing King of New York. NOT TO MENTION THE DANCING? He is one of the strongest dancers as according to his character... Racetrack is the perfect role for him in terms of comedic timing and dancing.

Gina Porter as Spot Conlon/Ensemble: Small role, but I don't really see Gina playing Katherine or Medda (However, she is playing Katherine in Love, East High). Gina does come off as quite intimidating like Spot at first but is later revealed to care about the people around her.

Mack Alana as Theodore Roosevelt: I don't know what to do with him lol. Besides, I don't think he'll want a big role since he's trying to get Mark & Spark rebooted anyways lol.

Dani as Hannah: Her acting skills need work so Hannah's a small enough role for her to work on her acting skills.
