also seeing some people getting dismissive of migraine... my worst migraine flare had me on stroke protocol. my entire right side was paralyzed and i could not speak. nothing was physically wrong with me. i did not have brain trauma or a clot. it was "just" migraine.
migraine is an incredibly severe neurological condition that impacts every part of your body. every organ, every voluntary muscle movement. every single breath you take is painful. and plenty of us aren't even able to sleep it off because migraine flare comes with sleep issues. sedatives do not work during migraine flare for a good majority of patients.
i don't want him back if it's at the cost of his health. willy needs to stay gone long enough to stay healthy. fuck the playoffs lol

it is absolutely crazy to me how people are acting re: nylander. dont you think if he could play, he would be?
i’m not sure if people don’t understand migraine disorders but they’re not just headaches. your entire vision can be compromised and there’s sometimes absolutely no warning signs that they are about to come on. saying nylander has been suffering from migraines doesn’t mean he is living with a migraine 24/7. he very well can attend practices or to some day-to-day tasks.
if he starts a migraine on the ice, he is immediately a danger to himself and everybody else on the ice. it is significantly easier to him off the ice at a practice than in the middle of play.
leafs and bruins have also been playing a brutal game of “who can knock down the most players from the other team” and they haven’t figured out if his migraines are being caused by a concussion. no medical team is clearly him to play.
nylander would be on the ice if he were allowed to be. he’s not and i truly can’t believe how nasty some fans are being about it.
