not to tempt fate or anything but one thing i’m glad to not have to deal with as much in the post s2 ofmd fandom environment is people arguing that the crew is lazy and useless and izzy is the only one keeping things together

anyway it’s so weird how in s2 once the gang was all back together again everything ran smoothly and they didn’t make a big deal out of all the work everyone needed to be doing constantly and we actually mostly just saw them hanging out and chilling the whole time. the only time the show made any sort of commentary about work it was in episode one when we learn ed has been working his crew to the bone doing back-to-back raids with no stop. it’s almost like in s1 izzy was characterized as being all work and no play as part of the writers’ goal of making him an unpleasant antagonist and not because this show actually cares about telling a story about how hard work is an important part of being a pirate.

#for the record i actually really like working hard and being on my feet all day at a full time job #the show’s stance on like. having a work ethic and responsibility is not one that i think is 100% applicable irl #but i don’t have to agree with every single thing this show says. i just like to be aware of what it is that the show is trying to say #ofmd #our flag means death #txt #meta #mine #crew of the revenge #izzy hands #if this post is in the izcourse tag no it isnt u just dont know how to use tumblr #og

Bluesky is public now, and bc my shrink says I need to be less reliant on this website I'm going to try to be more active on my account over there.

rn it's more similar to @bitchfitch-finale where it's all very polished stuff, but now that it's open I can move the polish into a side account and use my main similar to how I use this blog, just with shorter ramblings and more image descriptions.

#for those who dont know:#im blind #and i use a screen reader but the intersection of how my blindness works. how tumblr is laid out. and how my screen reader handles #image descriptions. makes image descriptions on tumblr Hell. they make the site actively more difficult to use for me #this isnt a like. dig on image descriptions or even tunglr bc like.#the reason i can navigate Without image descriptions 99% of the time is because of how much space images take up #but thats Also why theyake things difficult #theres no way to navigate past an image that doesn't activate the reader. Which is irritating and often interupts what i was actually #listening to #bitching
