Toxic romanticization of studying
In a word of introduction, my profile partly shows that studying and exploring is wonderful. But as a person involved in science*, I would like to show healthy and true patterns of this beautiful adventure in acquiring knowledge.
The inspiration for writing this post this time was not the phenomenon from Tumblr (although you can also observe it here), but from Pinterest. There you can come across cycles composed of quotes and photos whose aim is to motivate young girls to learn, succeed and get good grades. These images often also show examples of characters from movies, TV series or real life that you can aspire to be like. Overall, I have to agree that it really works! But I would like to draw attention to certain elements that need to be verified.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. You shouldn't get up at 5am
First of all, the correct amount of sleep is one of the most important factors affecting the proper and effective functioning of our brain. During sleep, nerve cells regenerate, organize information acquired during the day and consolidate memory traces, which is directly related to learning. Lack of sleep increases impulsivity, deepens negative thinking and slows down the body's reaction time!
2. You can be a genius without good grades
Of course, good grades are a pleasant confirmation of our knowledge and praise for hard work. However, sometimes it is worth considering whether the structure of exams themselves, especially those with closed questions, affects the results. We often study for one specific exam, the knowledge of which may be very… limited and sometimes not useful, so it is worth prioritizing the topics that we study hard.
3. It's not cool to think you're better than others
We are different and have different priorities in life. It is also worth considering how many people escape from the rat race and start a slow, stress-free life. So we have to agree that judging people based on grades or responses under stress (sic!) is not cool.
The good thing about romanticizing studying
As I have already said, these types of collages are really motivating. So let's talk about what's great about them and what's worth highlighting and saving for later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
1. Knowledge is beautiful, but your outfit and surroundings can also be
We know that we should never judge a book by its cover, but… the issue of social perception painfully confirms that we do and will continue to do so because this is how our brains work. And isn't it nice when someone looks at us and thinks this girl is so classy?
Moreover, a nice outfit that makes us feel good gives us a lot of self-confidence. There are also many studies confirming the positive impact on motivation and concentration of a neat and aesthetic workplace.
2. Not just cramming, but also discovering
Broadening your horizons is easier with passion and real commitment. And to achieve this, the topics must really interest us. Not everyone has yet found something that they are extremely passionate about in science, so that is why you have to dig deeper and discover different areas.
3. Don't be afraid to use your knowledge in practice
Schools and universities, unfortunately, have their own rules and they do not always allow you to show your 100% potential. Thus, share your knowledge with others externally, write essays, blog and social media. This form of activity also makes you learn things faster and easier. In addition, contacts with others will expand your knowledge.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Therefore, I must say that it is worth choosing your inspirations carefully. Nothing helps you enjoy studying better than a clear head and lack of prejudices.
*This post was inspired by my own experience with studying. If anyone is interested, I think I can share my mistakes that did not help me in an academic adventure :)

Uh weird question: Can someone who's from a community that hasn't been oppressed write a character that's from opressed community as long as it's well written? Like for example, a straight guy writing a lesbian couple or a white person writing POC characters.
If they couldn't then we'd have a lot less media out in the world LOL Need I remind y'all that I am a non-Greek person writing and drawing a retelling of a comic that's based on Greek myth ;p So all that said, the following is my opinion as a writer and someone who fits into certain minority groups, but bear in mind that I myself am someone who isn't part of a specific group writing about that group.
I see your question and I raise you a hypothetical. Which would you rather be - a writer who actually challenges themselves and engages with other topics and perspectives for the sake of telling a good story, or a writer who only exclusively writes about things limited by their own perspective and experiences?
Sorry if that's a bit of snark for the day, I understand that people get worried when it comes to writing about other groups that they don't "fit into", but there's a point where you can get so paranoid and over-correct too far that you don't actually branch out and that's how you wind up trapped in an echo chamber (or at the very least, trapped in a cycle of writing about the same stuff constantly lol) which can ironically lead to becoming more ignorant and offensive than if you had simply genuinely tried in the first place and maybe fumbled in a few areas. And white heterocis people aren't the only ones who are at risk of trapping themselves in those chambers, it can happen to anyone who's not willing to branch out. Making mistakes in and of itself is not the end of the world, you just have to be willing to learn.
Part of a very necessary process of writing is consuming content written by and for other people so that you can gain a sense of perspective, understanding, and empathy for others that don't live the same lives as you. Not doing those things out of fear of offending people is how you cause the opposite effect - trapping yourself in a bubble of misinformation because you never bothered to look outside of your own comfort zone and thought it was 'safer' to just keep reading and writing content that could only apply to you. Really all that accomplishes is narrowing your world view and stunting your writing capabilities.
The biggest thing you can do to write characters that don't align with yourself is just doing your research, being open to critique and feedback from the groups you're depicting (best way to write about a character who is not yourself is to ask for feedback from a person who IS reflected in that character!), and not writing from assumptions (as a lot of assumptions are rooted in stereotypes / prejudice / racism / etc.) There are loads of people from communities in need of representation who are willing to offer their help and feedback, don't be afraid to put out feelers for that sort of thing, it's why beta-readers are still so essential for a lot of writers.
And it also depends what your writing is trying to achieve. Are you actually trying to represent these groups, or are you just writing a character who you think is neat who happens to be from a specific group? What messages are you trying to send, what point are you trying to make, what do you want the reader to walk away with? Keep in mind that it's just as important to have characters who simply exist and aren't white/heterocis/etc. as it is to have characters who are fulfilling certain representations for the sake of sending a message / making a point. Because oppression comes in a variety of forms and not every single one will necessarily be as much a hurdle as the last; and just like not expanding your worldview through challenging yourself with new topics, it can be just as harmful to reduce people's identities to just a label and assuming that once they have that label they have to fulfill a specific 'role' within a story (that's how you end up with the "token black guy" tropes) or that if you don't share that same label, that means it's completely off-limits for you to depict in your writing or that they have to be depicted the exact same way every single time. People are not tags on AO3. People are what you're trying to write about. Don't restrict yourself by the labels.
Anyways, this turned into a big post, but yeah, just be willing to look for and listen to feedback, and remember that you're (I'm assuming) someone who's at the beginning of their journey, there's not as much pressure on you as you think there is. As much as I talk shit about people like Rachel front left and center here for all of her problems with representation, it's only because Rachel is someone who's taking credit for representation that just isn't there (or tries to be there and sucks immensely because it comes across as horribly misinformed and almost boomer-like). And then you've got the Cait Corrains and James Somertons of the world, people who literally try and silence the voices of those who belong to the groups they're claiming to be a part of (or aren't, in Cait's case with her review-bombing POC work) all for the sake of their ego. Cait Corrain and James Somerton don't actually care about 'representation', they just want to be the center of attention within the discussion and given all the credit for being progressive, even if it means literally stealing from or abusing the people who are on the same side as them.
All that said, I know I get intense here with how I discuss stories like LO and how they handle 'representation', but I don't ever want to give anyone the impression that they're not allowed to write about groups that they don't fit into or that the answer is "only write from your own perspective ever" because that's just not productive and will, if anything, have the opposite effect to what you're trying to achieve. Representation is complicated and oftentimes more nuanced than people give it credit for. Most average every day writers aren't getting in trouble just for writing characters outside of their demographic, even when they make the odd mistake or miss something in their research; the people who get in trouble are the ones who do it to an incredibly offensive degree and then double down when they get called out on it. Those are the scenarios that wind up being the loudest / most explosive and give budding writers the impression that they shouldn't try writing anything outside of their worldview ever but that's not the conclusion you should be coming to. Just be respectful and put in the effort like you would any other character, and don't use your character writing as an excuse to put yourself above voices from those groups. Be sincere, be humble, and always be willing to learn more.

✨🎧🌆ROTTMNT DONATELLO HEADCANONS🌆🎧✨
made by me! candy! :3 no major spoilers
Tumblr media
A quick guide!✨
💜 - Supported by canon (things that are pretty sure out there, maybe not confirmed 100% but yeah)
❤ - Kind of supported by canon (things that happened in the series that miiiight lead to some other stuff)
🧡 - My source is that I made it the fuck up (still trying to fit it into the character tho)
⭐ - Not sure if I'm taking this headcanon or not, but I do think It's pretty neat
💋 - Kinky! DISCLAIMER: Ive always seen the rottmnt boys (and April) in the age group from 17 to 19 and thats what I headcanon them as (as it is my own age group!). Ive seen the show and was fucking sure theyre my age and then a month or two later I was slapped in the face with thier actual age lol. I dont support any pedo shit, I also dont think minors can consent. Just putting it out there
Lets go!🌆💜🎧⭐✨
The 'Tism
• 💜 I think Its pretty fucking obvious that this boy is autistic, pretty much everything in the show supports this.
• ❤ Donny's headgear also works as noise cancelling headphones! He's often overwhelmed by background sounds and his gear makes it easier for him to live his life (either on missions or just spending time with his brothers and/or April). He still loves blasting his music on the highest volume tho. It's different when you consent to hearing your jams then when several people are talking at once and youre going crazy.
Tagging as kind of canon because he might have audio sensory issues because of his autism and you can reraly see him without the damn googles.
Different stims
❤ Foot stomping
❤ Hand flapping
🧡 Repeating a song/part of song over and over (yes, even if it has no words)
❤ Spinning on chairs
🧡 Pacing around the lab/the lair
• 💜 He knows ASL! Though It's never said in the show why he learned it, I believe that because he goes nonverbal often. Everyone in the lair can sign a bit because of that, but not everybody is too good at it. Donatello can communicate in ASL fluently.
Gender
• 🧡 Donatello never really felt connected to being "a men" and categorising things as "for boys" and "for girls" always seemed dumb to him. Shortly after Leo's coming out as a trans men (SURPRISE LEO HEADCANON) he went to talk to him about his gender experience. After some thinking and digging, Don came to the conclusion that he is in fact nonbinary. He still uses mostly male pronounces but always appreciates gender neutral pronounces coming his way.
Sexuality
• 🧡 While realising his own gender he also figured out that he doesn't really sees gender that seriously in others either. Men or women, its pretty much whatever to him. He doesn't like to label himself much when it comes to his sexuality, he accepts reffering to him as a pansexual or bisexual.
• 🧡 When it comes to dating Donatello doesn't imagine himself with anyone, really. He finds himself attractive, but doesn't think anyone would fancy him in a romantic way. He's not interessted much in dating either way. But he doesn't exclude dating someone in the future. It's just he won't go out of his way to look for love.
• ❤/🧡 Its obvious Don is a men of science, he's a genius when it comes to coding, math, engineering, I would say chemistry as well. Thats the field he feels the most comfortable in, but he loves learning new things in general. As long as there is interesting knowledge he can obtain, he will be there, soaking it like a sponge. He likes listening to info dumps, and probably listens to long ass video essays and/or podcasts.
• 🧡 Don likes to learn about others people hobbys and takes interest in learning about it. He likes showing others that he cares about something, even though Its something totally indifferent to him. For example, he knows lot about art making process from Mikey (Angelo even made him paint with him a couple of times!) even tho he doesn't really likes drawing and/or famous artists. No many people appreciate his work so he wants to show his appreciation to others.
• 💜 He is pretty low empathy most of the time. It's hard for him to relate to others, and can often feel like someone is overreacting. It's also challenging for him to put his feelings "out there". Which often makes him look unloving or unfriendly. And it couldn't be farther from the truth. He loves his brothers even though they bother him most of the time. And he loves April as well (though she never really troubled him much). He never really thinks that his low empathy is a flaw (more often he thinks about it as a blessing) but there rare are moment when he feels helpless because of it. He is glad that his family knows that he truly cares about them (and accepts any effort he puts in to express his feelings, even if it seems small).
• 🧡⭐ I've seen people headcanoning Donny as a baker and honestly I like it a lot. Cooking is Mikeys domain, and it suits him well, as it allows a lot of freestyling and just overall feeling. Baking and pastry making is very calculated and one miatake can ruin the whole thing. It reminds Don of engineering in a sense. Also baking is an easy way to get love and appreciation from his family because, cmon, he just made the most angelic fruit tarts in the whole universe, of course they're going to praise him. It also works as a stress relief. When feeling stumped and/or overwhelmed over a project or a situation he'll make something easy like brownies to get his mind of it.
• 🧡 He's very sentimental. He loves receiving gifts and will cherish and use them (even if he doesn't like it). He still has every "gamers dont die they respawn" Tshirt and every "dont fuck with my brother he was born in october and has autism" mug. Sometimes he REALLY wants to throw something away but god damn it this is painting Mikey did when he was ten and is just five splats of paint and thinking about him somehow finding out and crying about it might destroy him forever.
• 🧡⭐ This bitch reads fanfics, thats it. It started when he was around 13 or smth with Atomic Lass x Reader and now he knows all the fanfic lingo. He still might read something from time to time and writes very long and well written comments (with constructive criticism).
• 🧡 Speaking of which, Don writes perfect sentences while texting. All the correct spelling and punctuation. He also communicates with emojis and gifs like a millenial.
Food, TW: drinking!
• 🧡 He has a rather strong head, you cant make him drunk that easily. But when it finally happens, youre in for a ride. Shutting him up is near impossible, he will talk non-stop but with much less eloquence then while sober. Its extremely easy to make him laugh, so Leo absolutely loves it. He often looses track of what hes saying and starts completely different rant. Overall a chaotic mess. Really fun to witness it at least once. His beverage of choice is either fun cocktails or beer (tho rarely and/or only with some kind of juice because he doesn't like the fizziness on his tongue).
• 🧡 And that takes us to Donatello that hates fizzy drinks. He hates carbonated beverages, no matter if its cola or champagne. The feeling on his tongue and in his mouth makes him really uncomfortable. When there is no other choice but to drink up some bubbless, he leaves it open for as long as he can to get rid of them. His brothers despise him for that.
• 🧡 He doesn't like weird food combos either and is rather picky. When ordering food Don sticks to what he knows not to risk an uncomfortable texture touching his mouth. Texture is the most often reason for him not liking a specific food. Donnys pretty strict to preparing food as well (the way he does a thing is The Correct Way and no other exception is acceptable). Also he puts milk first so his cereal doesn't get soggy.
• 🧡 I feel like he likes fruit juices in boxes and fruit mousses but this is pretty random 🤷
• ❤/🧡 He wears contacts! We've seen little Donny with glassess, so I assumed he wears contacts now. When he knows he will be spending all day in the lair (for example because of an injury) he still has a pair of glassess he uses. And yes, he tapes them to the head. Because he rarely ever wears them, he never came up with a solution for not having ears and needing glassess.
• 🧡 ABSOLUTELY hates smoking. Will go on a rant if he sees someone he knows smoking. He absolutely despises the smell and WILL take it out of someones mouth/hand and throw it away. Appreciates the fun smells of vapes but still hates them. Will call vapers losers (maybe not exacly in these words but he will for sure).
• 🧡 Really good at makeup, but not as good as Leo is (ANOTHER SURPRISE LEO HEADCANON). He spend years perfecting his eyebrows of course. He also wears eyeliner because serving cunt is important even on the battlefield. From time to time you can see his nails painted as well.
• 🧡⭐ While being flustered or simply distracted he stutters a lot, mostly in a way of repeating whole words or parts of a sentence ("Its good because- Its good- Its good because I um- Its good-")
• 🧡 Enjoys taking very long baths, and actually prefers them much more then showers. Can stay underwater for a rather long time as well!! Being fully submerged calms him down a lot and its overall very relaxing for him.
• 🧡⭐ Ive seen a lot of takes that without his battle shell, he is really flexible (due to having a soft shell). And I like the idea. I think, that before sitting infront of a screen (or a desk in general) to do his work for several hours he stretches deeply so his back won't be so sore later. Also a reason to draw Donny in yoga poses and thats always cool.
• ❤ Makes up shit to fuck with his brothers. Like just spreading misinformation and gaslighting them for shit and giggles. Or to get them to leave him alone for a while. Also will gaslight them if they somehow find out that he was lying ("what? you must have heard me wrong then 🙄💅")
• 💜/❤ Loves singing and dancing!!! Aint the best singer (tho I love his songs in the show Im kissing him as we speak) but is a gorgeous dancer! He finds it incredibly fun and feels fabulous while doing it. Also Im pretty sure dancing counts as stimming so add it to the list. Dances solo like 90% of the time but really enjoys dancing in pairs (dances with April a whole lot when they get the chance!).
• ❤ He rarely laughs out loud, but when he does it is loud and messy. A good joke can make him think about it all day and continue laughing for a long time. Not my og take, Ive seen this headcanon before and I love it so so much :3
• 🧡 From all his brothers, he kind of wishes to be human the most of them all. Its not a big big wish, he does think of himself as very unique individual and takes pride of being a mutant. But sometimes while hanging out with April he can get lost in his thoughts of "what ifs". Maybe in the process of making a cloaking accessory.
• 🧡 His handwriting is god-awful. All scribly and fucked up like Doctors writing. Unfamiliar eye would not decipher a word out of it, but Don knows exactly what everything means. But he mostly writes digitally.
• ❤ Dons dislike of hugging is canon, but I do believe he likes being touched on his head and face (head pats, cheek rubs, scratches). He enjoys hand holding when it's appropriate as well.
• 💋 Im headcanoning the boys to go through mating season once a year (except mikey cuz he small) everyone at a different time. It would be similiar to an ovulation but much more horny (with also fever symptoms). Don would be the second after Raph to get it. While in heat he doesn't go feral or anything, but after a few days stops working because he cant focus on his craft. Waves of sudden temperature changes (mostly high heat) with really horny thoughts and hypersensitivity to pretty much everything...yeah not the best work environment. He spends his  most intensive days closed off in his lab or room because he really doesn't want his family to see him like this (the rest of the turtles are in thier rooms during thier mating time as well for the same reason). Also add being possessive while having a SO, and also veeery easy to irritate.
• 💋 Donny takes on a more submissive role while being intimate, even though he loves to be in charge all the time. But he isn't a bottom either, I would put him perfectly in the middle as a switch (more leaning on that sub part tho).
• 💋 His biggest turn on is smell. Like someones natural smell, no perfumes and all. He likes to snuggle in the crook of the neck and take it all in. This becomes cranked up to eleven during mating season, as he absolutely cannot stop sniffing. Would love his significant other to leave him clothes with thier smell on it and sleep and/or snuggle with it.
Might add more later but thats all for now :3💜
Hope you enjoyed it⭐✨

Had a dream last night about those Team Up Mission books from bnha.
Shouto and Sero were learning how to restrain villains through Fatgum.
It’s interesting because I do think that Fatgum is very much about capturing rather than fighting, he’s always getting straight to the point and makes his opponents give up by using his own mass rather than wasting his one good shot on a fight when he could be using it for something even more dangerous later. Especially considering that his fat is what protects him and enables him to do hero work to begin with. He’s been shown to be uncomfortable with the fact that he’s skinny because he can’t do much in that form. (At least I think he has? In vigilantes maybe??)
Also, Shouto has a lot of experience with getting the job done fast due to his internship with his father, and Sero seems to completely focus on incapacitating threats from the jump.
So basically, in my dream, there wasn’t a real plot to it. Just the two of them racing each other to catch villains first, but I thought it was really neat and would be an interesting dynamic to see those characters interact with Fatgum.
I might end up drawing or writing something for this eventually. Idk.

Current W.I.P's and Future Plans! Exciting Shit!
A lot of ya'll may have noticed I've been kind of quiet or otherwise preoccupied lately, and that's because there's a ton of really exciting stuff I'm currently working on! :3
There's a lot I wanna share, so for those of you who are interested this post is gonna go over all of the stuff I've been doing lately, a glimpse at what things might look like for me down the line.
TL:DR : Taking art more seriously, tons of art studies and practice, just finished moving, drawing projects and W.I.P's, working on making a YouTube channel and picking up filmmaking?!?!?!?!
So, a bit ago I set off to do this 30 day "learn to draw" practice/routine/program thing by Marc Brunet on YouTube.
youtube
I picked it up because I've felt like I lacked a lot of knowledge regarding space and perspective that you'd typically learn practicing the fundamentals of art. I understood that I needed to make things look three dimensional, and had the smallest grasp on how to do that, but the core understanding and experience was something I lacked.
For anyone trying to learn how to draw, I highly recommend checking out this video and giving it a go! I'm not going to go over every single day's exercise I did, partly because I didn't actually finish the whole program... (There's so much to do lately hnngn)
But, I made this thing! Tada!
Tumblr media
I'm also delving into making my first drawing timelapses in clip studio with these next couple of projects I'm currently working on...
One of them being a commission for a friend's DnD character, a sort of gambler themed vigilante called "Vermillion" that was made for my DnD setting, Benediction. Here's the progress I have so far on our resident card-thrower:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
...Neat, right? This drawing was one of the most recent ones where I'm really trying to challenge myself with perspective, foreshortening, and composition work. I've fallen in love with painting and you'll most likely see it as a permanent addition to my art style.
A lot of that is thanks to Bluebiscuits, who's art style has been a massive inspiration to mine for a very long time. Their art guides have been invaluable to my creative growth, and they deserve all of the support they could possibly get.
They have a patreon, so maybe check that out if you're interested in their work. :>
The other big project I'm working on is actually design work for a very important character I'm making. This is tied into the potentiality of YouTube and all that would entail, so bare with me for this next part.
It's a kind of...mascot, of sorts. An evolution of my avatar(s) that I've been fucking with on and off for years at this point. It's kind of important to get that nailed down, because...well, it's the first thing people are gonna see when they check out my stuff, so, I needed to make a "face" for my art.
Especially if I want to do YouTube. Which...I do! I've wanted to have a creative outlet like that for a while. I have tons of things to say and share, and a lot of it would probably be best off in video format.
Plus, then I get to have an excuse to design an eldritch girl-thing to be on screen and talk for me. Yeah, the second project is a RantSona. I mean...it's more than just a rantsona, but this design has been workshopped to be used for that...while also doing other important things! Like being a hot eldritch horror-lady generally. A suitable vessel for my creative endeavors >:3
Meet "Hollow", or, I guess the early blueprints of Hollow. Hollow-to-be if you will:
Tumblr media
Presto! What will most likely end up being my..."Mascot"? My avatar...thing. Me. Me but way cooler.
On the side there you can see some early attempts at making a good "talking mouth", all of which....didn't...look great. Mouths are hard it turns out! Even harder when you're making a puppet for entertainment purposes.
One day, one day there will be a marketable Hollow plush. One day.
I still have tons of work to do, I mean, look at this shit:
Tumblr media
I have a lot to do. That drawing up there is the result of like...over a couple of weeks of design-work, reference gathering, and notetaking.
Which you cant get a little looksie at down here:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was the early framework for giving myself direction. Haven't really ever done something like this for an art project, so it's been really damn cool seeing where it's led me. I'm definitely going to be using this kind of "set up" going forward for my creative endeavors.
In a way it feels like all of my progress so far was put to the test. I buckled the fuck up and really started trying to chisel at something...big. I made myself a work schedule, a posting schedule, and am (trying) to wake up at 9:00 every day to squeeze in as much time as possible.
I'm getting side-tracked, but, yeah! Framework! Moodboards! Milanote:
Milanote is actually fucking GOATED, I'd be absolutely crippled trying to make this project work without it's help. Those two little design sheets I made by hand in clip studio took honest to god days to make, when I could have used Milanote to just make a mood board...reference....thing...instead.
I ended up doing that regardless, cause I needed to make a vibe board to refer to during the building of Hollow's outfit/body design, which is also the stage I'm currently on in the whole process.
Tumblr media
Literally all of it is just drag-and-drop. I didn't even need to download all of these images, cause Milanote just lets you drag an image off of a website and shove it in that bitch all easy-like. It's incredible.
You can add text, links, images, yadda yadda yadda, this sounds like a sponsorship but I am in fact just sharing the gospel of this unit of a website. It's good, it might help you, check it out? Do whatever you want.
Anyway, after making a good enough pool of references I started working on Hollow's body/outfit. I'm extra, so I wanted something eye-catching that won't...hopefully...be too distracting in a video. I mean...well, if its distracting in a bad way. I do like having eyes on me, after all. ;]
Tumblr media
I've been rambling, so I'm going to try to be more concise from this point onward.
In order to really nail the character design I need to communicate the important bits effectively. That means a strong silhouette, shape language, design, and conveying the character properly. I mean, I'm trying to make an eldritch horror girl, here, if you can't tell that on first glance I did something wrong.
In summary, I gave myself six dummies to practice on. Using my candy pile on milanote I pick and choose various elements from designs I like and incorporate them into my own while keeping in mind the important elements I listed in my outline from earlier.
Ideally, by the time the sixth is finished, I'll have a good idea of what I like and don't like about each one, and can compile all of that into a "Pre-final draft" where I put it alllll together :3
The main thing is I'm trying to make her clothing look like it's a part of her. Kind of organic. Able to be changed at her will, her skin, basically. So there's lots of carapaces and warframe-like skin material there.
I'm very pleased with how it's going so far. Even just the second iteration looks fuckin' fantastic imo. Very Arrancar/Vasto Lorde (From Bleach). Good shit.
That's basically it. I probably skimmed over a lot of stuff, but at this point the caffeine and vyvanse is wearing off, and I'm crashinnnggg.
Before I go, the film I'm making. Yeah, so I needed practice learning a video editing software, especially if I was going to fuck around with a rantsona, so I've been editing a ton of Lethal Company footage I've saved over...quite a long damn time.
I wanted to do something a little bit more on-theme with me, my aesthetic, and the shit I want to do in the future, rather than just mash a bunch of "hehe funnies" together and call it a day. There will still be some of that, it is lethal company after all, but I wanted to be a little bit more dramatic than that...
The result is a meta-ey surreal analog horror style experience with some elements of an ARG. The primary premise is an artist's descent into madness, the game being "haunted", the power of belief, and artistic depictions of very real struggles I and many others have. Depression, isolation, loneliness, feelings of disconnection, and other things of that nature.
I find the contrast very fascinating. I've even reached out to several...oh god what's the word...? Music artist. Not musician. People who make digital music, like game OST's. Those.
I reached out to some people including a close friend of mine and "CAMA", one of the folks who contributed to making the sound overhaul mod "Lethal Resonance" for lethal company, for permission to use music, or in my friend's case make original music for the film. (My sentence structure is falling apart, I'm so sorry I'm almost done).
Cama has a soundcloud, check it out and give them some support, their music makes my ears happy.
Okay. That's it. I don't currently have a set title for this short film yet, but I do have a placeholder (That may just end up being the actual title. I don't fucking know dude, dinner is still cooking.) that I'll leave you with,
"I am not me."
If anybody actually read all of that, congrats! You're now one of my favorite people. Take care of yourself <3

Stranger things characters study and note taking habits head canons:
-Will:
His notes are neat and he draws little pictures beside the writing to help him remember the material. If a party member is out sick (Max and El included) his notes are the ones they borrow. He makes flash cards with little doodles on them. When him and El study together he draws diagrams for them because they both learn better with visuals.
-El:
She loves sticky notes and she goes through them very quickly so whenever a member of the Byers-Hopper family is out and about they will pick some up for her. She writes notes for school on them and sticks them all around the room when there is a big test coming up. Sometimes after getting home from studying with El Max and Lucas will find sticky notes stuck to their clothes and it always makes them smile. El is also a big fan of highlighting and colour coding her notes and she definitely has like a bunch of different coloured pens and highlighters. She would also have at least one fun shaped eraser.
- Lucas
His notes can get a bit messy but not illegible . He is super good at condensing his notes and always knows what leave out and what to keep in. He makes up practice questions to test himself and the girls. His study stuff is usually pretty well organized which makes it easy to find the specific notes he needs.
-Dustin:
His notes are very chaotic and basically illegible unless you’re him in which case they make perfect sense. He likes hands on learning and will test out some of the experiments in the textbooks much to the dismay of his mother. When he studies he has open books scattered all around his room. He will mumble to himself as he studies
-Max:
She mostly studies questions from the textbook. She really only uses flash cards when she is studying with someone else. Max’s notes are filled with small stickers from El (She didn’t get a lot of good job stickers from her teachers in Lenora when everyone else did and it made her feel bad so she gives them to her friends so they know she thinks they are doing well) and little smilie faces Lucas will draw sometimes. Max rarely takes note during class and instead gets her information from the textbook after class.
-Mike:
He chews on the end of his pens and will distractedly tap his pen/pencil on his notebook (Will and him study together so much that now Will finds it hard to study without the constant taping of a pen/pencil). When he reads a book for English he writes all over it and even highlights certain passages which usually leads to him having to purchase the book from the school. Sometimes Will draws little things in the margins of his notebooks and Mike refuse to erase it even if he needs the room (Will suggested he erase them once and Mike was so offended). When he sits down to write a paper or study he does so all in one sitting and often gets so wrapped up in what he’s doing he forgets to anything else.

Thoughts on the Ahsoka trailer:
It looks good! I’m excited. The new Fallen Jedi look really cool, and I’m very curious to see what they’re up to and how they’ll tie in to the story. It’s great to see the Rebels crew back in action, and it looks like they’ll be doing the full Rebels epilogue in live action, which is exciting!
Also, SHORT-HAIRED SABINE!! I was so excited to see her short hair in the Rebels epilogue, and I’m so glad they’re keeping it - there are so very, very few short-haired women on screen, it’s genuinely exciting to see a main character with short hair.
I don’t think she’s going to be Force Sensitive - honestly, the shot of her “using the Force” was brief enough it could be one of several other gestures, cut together with the Darksider to look like a Force attempt. I think she’d been training with Ahsoka to use Ezra’s lightsaber and pay homage to him and learn more about the Jedi to honor their culture. Remember, this is also a Mandalorian Sabine who’s now seen the fall of Mandalore - I can see her clinging to Jedi traditions as a way to keep them alive, now that she’s seen her own culture be destroyed like theirs was.
I’m honestly excited just to see what direction they go with the plot - I can see many ways this could develop, most of which would be really, really cool in one way or another. I’m very excited for Thrawn, and to see him in live action!
(this got... long)
I don’t think we’ll get much of Thrawn in season 1 - it looks to be focused on the Fallen Jedi, so I expect they’ll be the big bad of season 1 and we’ll get Thrawn in season 2 and onwards. We have been promised a twist, so I’m very curious to see if the Grysk will be brought in as a secret big bad. I think that would be neat, and could be a great twist after setting up Thrawn as the big bad in season 1 and maybe 2.
I do think Lars will do amazing as Thrawn - he’s a fantastic actor with experience with the character, and for anyone whining that he doesn’t look like the book covers, 1) No? Those are drawings? This is a real person? and 2) Yes? This is at least 10 years post-Treason, 30 years post-Ascendancy. Characters get older? And they’re still badass?
I’m also very curious what Ezra’s been up to. I wonder if he’s still a Jedi - 10 years stuck with Thrawn, he could very well have Fallen. Now that could be a twist! Heck, he could be dead. With Sabine left chasing a ghost... Not sure Filoni would try and pull that, but it would sure be a twist!
The less good: The costuming is a bit lazy. It’s pretty good considering Disney is getting quite lazy with their costuming, but it’s definitely not as good as it could be - more in range with, honestly, the rest of the Star Wars stuff coming out these days. I do wish Thrawn was a bit darker blue, and had the luster from the book covers, but I imagine that’s tricky in makeup. Still, it’s not bad!
The we’ll see how it goes: Thrawn is almost definitely going to be a villain, and will probably be killed during the course of the show. I don’t think that’s a bad thing - I know a lot of people cling to his book characterization, but I see the books -> Rebels -> HTTE series as the slide of a well-meaning person into fascism. As much as we’d all love to see him go back to the Ascendancy and defeat the Grysk, it’s equally in character for him to cling to his mission with the Empire as the “only way” to achieve victory (consider the sunk-cost fallacy, and tell me that doesn’t fit Thrawn to a T). He’s stubborn, he’s ruthless, and he believes in a strong military and the efficiency of a dictatorship - and the New Republic is a threat to all of that, and a threat to his goal of building the biggest military ever to defend the galaxy from the Grysk (and anyone else who might challenge him...).
There’s many ways it could be done well - acknowledging the complexity of his character and goals and making his darker actions a product of that - and ways it could be done less satisfyingly. I’m hopeful, and I’m excited to see what comes of it!
And, well, there’s always fanfiction.

Hey Anthie, this question is kind of weird/complicated but I'll try my best to ask. It has to do with recovering from your past habits but I think it could also relate to general stress and handling difficult emotions and experiences (which would include addiction of course but sometimes like... just life too, I guess?)
Anyway, I wanted to hear how fiction helped you or currently helps you? For example I've seen people say that writing "helps" them but when I'm struggling I don't inspired to write, I feel terribly drained, and I'm also a perfectionist. I find it hard to relate to people who transform their pain into art. And I don't have any close friends in the same fandoms like I did when I was a teen so I don't have that sense of community where people encourage me to work on writing and I encourage them to work on their art/writing/etc.
I'm also not sure if it's good to entertain myself even though that might sound weird? Like I'll read, because... it's a thing I can do. And yeah, I enjoy it and have them. But I don't know if it's really aiding in "fixing" myself, and sometimes when I'm reading something, I start worrying that I'm wasting my time somehow? (I made reading more one of my goals for this year, because I went for literal years without reading for enjoyment, and thought my adult ADHD was going to make it impossible for me to ever read again, but now that I'm actually doing it, I don't know how much of an accomplishment it actually is)
Just wanted to hear if any of this ever felt relatable to you, and how you overcame it if so? Thank you and hope you continue to do great with everything, I wish you the best!
This took me a while to get to! thank you for your patience. I tried to narrow your questions down a bit so I hope this is around and about what you were wanting. Under the cut cause its long
How does fiction help with recovering from past habits, handling stress, and difficult emotions and experiences?
Fiction is a way to express yourself without making it about you specifically. You can create situations and put characters through The Horrors, or The Softness, and many writers find catharsis in the act. It can also help your brain process things, and be an outlet for all the feelings and thoughts inside. For me personally, I use fiction to explore thoughts, feelings, ideas, as well as to project or express parts of myself- Im also attracted to writing about things and people I DONT relate to, as a way of learning about them, exploring them, etc. Writing an addict as an addict can be a neat way to look at my issues through a new set of eyes, even if the addict character isn't anything like me, doesn't act the same or process the same, etc.
Can engaging in creative activities like writing be helpful, even if it doesn't feel inspiring during tough times?
Science has proven that writing down your thoughts helps your brain process them, just simply the act of translating from mind to page has benefits. Having it make sense is not as important as just simply... getting it out. Entertaining YOURSELF should always be the first priority in creating art and writing, because if we do it for others, then we are setting ourselves up for disappointment
Is it okay to entertain oneself with activities like reading during difficult times, even if it feels like it might be wasting time?
Doing things for yourself is always okay. It is never a waste of time to take care of yourself. Some people say things like "you don't always have to be productive in order to have your activities be valid" but Id go so far as to say that engaging in reading, writing, drawing, and other "self-indulgent" experiences IS being productive. its being productive for YOU. You arent something that needs to be fixed, you are someone that needs to be accepted. Recovering from self shame starts with being willing to look at yourself not as a problem, but as a person. And the things that make you feel good, regardless of whose watching or who OUTSIDE yourself benefits are worthy persuits
How can one overcome feelings of isolation and lack of community when engaging in creative pursuits?
So I kind of segued into this a little, and I just want to expand a bit. I looked this up and its pretty close to what I wanted to say so Ill share
"Focusing on your own fulfillment and growth in your creative pursuits can be empowering. Prioritize your passion and intrinsic motivation rather than seeking external validation or connection. Set meaningful goals, establish a regular routine, and celebrate your progress along the way. Embrace your creativity as a form of self-expression and personal fulfillment, nurturing your artistic voice and finding joy in the process."
This may be like, hey! I said I wanted community! but honestly, seeking out community and connection can *scare us away from trying* sometimes. Theres all these rules we put on ourselves about not being good enough, or not having friends who have the same interests, not being noticed or validated when we display our work, not having people to talk about. All of that is absolutely valid but it really gets in the way of the creative process and who we are really doing it for (us)
Community tends to appear when you start to share. Considering it a bonus instead of the focus is just a shift in perspective rather than a shift in action. Finding online communities that are related to the work you are producing and sharing what you have is great! starting conversations and new connections is great! but seeking external validation means that you can get absolutely destroyed if you share something you're proud of and no one really notices it. Its so much better to enjoy what you've created, and just put it out there with the thought that if its noticed great! but the best thing was that it was something you enjoyed making.

For the fic meme: 1., 3., 4.?
Fic Writer’s Ask Meme
1. What’s something new that you tried in a fic this year? How did it turn out and would you do it again?
Historical RPF! I have been in an RPF-adjacent fandom before but the fandom was very strongly about consensus fanon revolving around fantastical/sci fi personas in a roleplay world
I’ve touched on the idea a few times about the idea of historical RPF not being about the actual people but being about the persona that has been portrayed through academia, media and legacy, and these personas being drastically contradictory. There’s a quote here about Napoleon’s marshals that I’m in love with-
“… many of Napoleon's senior officers have become characters of folklore, if not downright fiction. His marshals, especially, have been so bedaubed by careless writers' ink that the true personalities of some of them remain almost unknown.” — Swords Around A Throne, John R. Elting
And honestly the fandoms I enjoy the most are the ones that by nature of the original “media” do not have a set interpretation or characterisation of very evocative characters, so people are forced to create their own interpretations. I think it’s neat, and historical RPF seems to fall into that very neatly!
2. What’s something you learned about yourself as a writer?
Interestingly I’d say that the learning-about-myself-as-a-writer mostly came from experiments with training an AI model on my writing - you can compare the poems here ( Select Statement, A Poem About Grief, A Poem About Dysphoria] and probably contrast them with the Apocalypse Quartet which I mostly wrote years ago (one got published in a newsletter lel), and you can see that it’s an interesting cracked mirror where I or CadLLM has a sense of halting, faltering melancholy that cares about spoken rhythm
And that’s something I also care about in fic writing! But to be able to draw these connections through the funhouse mirror is fascinating to me.
In terms of pure fic writing, I need to do more actual planning when it comes to fics lol.
4. What piece of media inspired you the most?
In Napoleonica, well Waterloo (1970) and the Epic History Marshal video kicked off the whole “oh no I love these dead Frenchmen” thing, and A. G. Macdonnell’s Napoleon and his Marshals, while not perfect research and also a bit early 1900s British, is just now a cozy comfort read
And the podcast Age of Napoleon is so good
Buuuuut as a sudden shift I’m just gonna shout out the surreal fantasy novella The Night-Bird’s Feather that I read on the plane and broke my brain and heart
Thank you for the ask!! I am going to chew on the prompt for a bit because hmmmmm tasty

for the fandom ask game: 5 6 11 16 23 24
something you see in fics a lot and love
I really love seeing Foggy sort of leap-frogging over his panic and anger and confusion in moments of crisis to get right to the part where he works on being helpful. That, "We are going to fight about this later, but right now I need to stop that bleeding" sort of thing. Foggy is absolutely allowed to have emotions and fall apart in a crisis, but he has a good head on his shoulders and certainly after a certain point he's had to learn to compartmentalize just to survive being in Matt's life. I think it's comforting to imagine having a friend or partner like that- I guess it speaks to the idea of there always being an undercurrent of love. No matter what else is going on in the moment, no matter how furious or scared or worried the events taking place right now make them, they do not supplant the love that is at the basis of the relationship. I just think that's neat.
something you see in art a lot and love
When artists really have fun with the clothing, paying attention to details and making things really specific. When someone really pays attention to drawing a certain kind of shoe- I'm just... yeah, that's the good stuff. :)
if you’re a writer or artist, what fic or piece of art are you proud of making?
Well, I'm a little bit of both- but I guess a fic sprang to mind first so I'll answer for that. (tw for fictional CSA mention btw) So, as I've not-so-casually mentioned, one of my first big/long term fandoms was Metal Gear Solid. And I know that some of the memes from that series have escaped containment, and to the outsiders it might look like "Call of Duty but with the occasional zany moment" but it does have a lot of story (too much, some might say XD) and intricate character relationships and lore and, ugh it's just SUCH fertile ground for art and fic and all the things that make fandom great. But, it *does* also very much appeal to gamer dudes of the usual type. And normally this is fine, the transformative fans and the archival fans largely keep to their own fandom spaces- but sometimes there is crossover that rubs one group or the other the wrong way.
One such case is that there is a character who has an "affair" with his step-mother, but I put that in quotes because when the dust settles, it turns out this happened when the character in question was 16. There is TERRIBLE fallout from the event (family trauma, suicide, estrangement) and the game plays it all straight- this is something that broke the already fragile family to pieces. BUT for a long time, the joke was "haha character banged his stepmom". Which. Ew.
Anyways, I always really wanted to write a story that sort of expanded on those events, not the actual relationship/abuse/fallout, but more the events that precluded it, mostly what made the character an easy target. (Isolation, otherness, a lack of confidence in who they were as an individual). Basically, I wanted to really tell a story that treated the matter with the needed level of seriousness, if only to say, "hey, this isn't a punchline, this is a traumatic experience".
I ended up watching, "The Graduate" a few times as sort of... research? Partially for tone, partially because the themes and characterization in that movie matched the vibe I was trying to go for in my own story. (I can't help but think that Kojima, known for referencing movies in his games- might have had it in mind due to some shared imagery.) This was maybe the first time I did something like that, watching a movie to pick it apart for nuance in tone, as opposed to looking at it for canon events, timelines etc.
So that story ended up being, "Surface Tension", which first appeared in the "Metal Gear Solid: Lost Years" zine, and then eventually got posted to AO3. It's not my best reviewed fic by a long shot (understandably, it's a difficult subject material and not shippy or anything), but it's one that I can say I am proud of.
a tiny detail in canon that you want more people to appreciate
Wow, this one is tricky for me- I feel like a lot of fans are way more detail oriented than I am when it comes to canon. I'm always the one in awe when people are like, "Oh in episode seven, this one song is playing in a car as it drives by, and that's significant because it came out in 2013 and that was the year that..." and i'm just like "you guys know the names of songs?"
I guess to that end- I always liked the line in, I think it's season 1 where Matt says it's a "90's Top 40" kind of guy. I think it's really funny because people characterize him as having... well, let's just say "better" musical taste, but like, no. That dude would bop his head if you played the Spin Doctors.
the fandom you’re curious about because of a mutual
I have no idea what's going on in the Trolls fandom, and at this point I'm afraid to ask. But they all look like they're having a great time.
how has fandom positively impacted your life?
I've made so many friends, and as someone who doesn't get out as much as I'd like (especially as an immunocompromised person in the middle of a pandemic), my fandom friends are so, so important to me. I love the feeling of having a group of people who love the thing I love and being able to waltz into a space and say, "Hey, who wants to do this crazy thing with me?" and have even a few people say "Yeah, let's fucking GOOOO". ^^
I also think I wouldn't write nearly as much if it wasn't for fandom, and writing has certainly gone a long way towards helping me become better at unraveling the balls of yarn in my brain and making them into sweaters and scarves, as it were. I think a lot of the time when you write, you're practicing empathy- because you're forcing yourself to see the world from someone else's perspective. Maybe the character you're writing about had something in common with you, maybe that's what drew you to them in the first place, but identifying that also helps you understand more about yourself *and* how you relate to others. So I like to think that writing has helped me relate better to other people, even the ones I disagree with, and made me more able to slow down and ask, "well, why does this person feel/think that way?" Storytelling is so important for a lot of reasons, but that's a big one for me.

Hey I was looking at ur commission stuff, I want to start doing commissions as well but I’m not big on any social media platform. But besides the point could you perhaps give me some tips in starting commissions, if you’re comfortable, please and thank you. :)
Oh, I'm not that long in the business either!
I kind of just built a following by making fanart and original stuff I'm passionate about, then people stuck around. I'm sure you can do that as well! As for tips:
Make sure to be clear about the paying method, paypal is in personal experience the best option.
Ask for payment first, at least half, so people won't back out. (If they commissioned you multiple times you can drop that part, most people are super nice.)
Ask for more money than you think your art is worth. Confidence! (And also paypal takes money for the transfer and you get less anyway, don't forget about that.)
Be also clear about the way you send the commission. If over e-mail or tumblr chat etc.
Only send the picture after you were fully paid and draw over the sketches so they aren't useable. Like watermarks or a fat red "commission" across the page at 70 percent opacity.
Communicate! Tell the person where you are at, send sketches to confirm things, tell when you are in a rut and will take longer to draw. Just let people know, that's always good.
Don't take more than 3 at a time, you will get overwhelmed. Let a person know if you have works in the back burner.
And also ask for dead lines! That's helpful in organizing. Most just want it done whenever, but some would like it as a gift for some other. So check for that!
Write e-mails, paying method, name of the blog, what type of picture and character it is, any type of information really, down. You gotta keep overview of your projects.
I give myself a deadline of 2 weeks, the first week needs the sketch done. People wait patiently so you don't want to keep them waiting too long.
If life gets in the way, TELL! Sometimes you gotta drop something, don't be ashamed to.
Always thank people and be respectful, no matter how much of a jerk someone can be. Some people are more demanding but it's good honest money they give you instead of food.
On that note, again, if a person is too much, drop the picture, send the money back (or the unfinished picture and the amount of money that was too much for the picture). But respectfully, we are better than that
Lastly, have fun!! You're drawing for another person, that's sick! You might even learn new characters to obsess over, which is always neat.

okami is still the gift that keeps on giving. when i last cleared the entire game i was like "ok this time for SURE i have seen the whole thing and all of its secrets" but no. in THIS playthrough ALONE, ive learned:
you can make friendly fire happen between two enemies; not ALL of them, but it works on imps at the very least
using trees in combat actually does damage some enemies a fair amount! i actually think it interrupts some attacks but i have to experiment more
using a cherry bomb on an npc outside of combat is EXTREMELY FUNNY, particularly on imps
ringing the epicurean bell BEFORE orochi's appetizer is ready spawns a blue scroll
someday i might make a video about 'okami secrets' but honestly idk how many of them are all that hard to figure out. because of how many times ive played this game idk what things are or arent considered obscure. anyway, here are some of my favs
if you power slash heaps of snow in kamui, youll sometimes get snow sculptures of certain characters
How The Sun And Moon Techniques Actually Work (this ones more of a theory, if u care to find out, it's below)
you can smear ink on enemies to get them to flail around and farm demon fangs off of them with the reflector sub-weapon counter
drawing a circle around npcs makes most of them run over to pet ammy
that previous thing notably does NOT work on waka , but it still consumes ink and plays the sound effect as though it DID work. i LOVE that because it implies to me that waka DOES feel a pull to go pet ammy like the rest of the npcs, but is capable of resisting it
you can't headbutt waka! he sorta shimmers and evades you and you can never hit him.
you can find the real raos skeleton in the tunnel that connects the palace in sei-an to ankoku shrine
theres SO MUCH specific dialogue that youd have to actively seek out in order to see. for instance, everyone in kamiki village has unique dialogue if you talk to them while susano is on your back instead of taking him directly to the rock at the village entrance
OH I JUST REMEMBERED; if you draw a circle around any of the wep'keer villagers, instead of running to pet you they will shift into their wolf forms.
okami good. and like...this game came out in 2006. could you fucking IMAGINE how much neat stuff could be possible if they made a Actual Sequel with modern game engines. capcom . im looming behind you capcom do you fucking hear me are you listening capcom im
ALSO theres a lot of stuff that had me wheezing in confused fear during my last full playthrough. a lot of it pertains to lechku & netchku and the events surrounding their fight. like i have reason to believe that the intro legend about shiranui and orochi is wrong, but im not gonna make a post about it until ive gone through and played the whole game again, paying particularly close attention to the past-kamiki and ezofuji segments
ok im elaborating on how the sun and moon techniques actually work, as i understand them
i was halfway through writing up a thing about how these techniques don't actually let you control the position of the sun and the moon, and instead just changes the time. but then i remembered that no actually thats not true, since a lot of puzzles require you to have the sun or moon shining on a specific thing !! so in that case YES you are changing the position of the sun/moon. also the mechanic is LITERALLY you drawing the sun and moon in the sky so what the hell was i even talking about.
yes, without a doubt, ammy can control the position of the damn sun or moon as she sees fit, which affects the amount of light on the planet and changes the "time" to "day" or "night". the reason time is in quotes there is because if you are UNIQUELY changing the position of the sun/moon, the flow of time would be unchanged. unless you are looking at a sundial, man-made clocks WOULD NOT change if the sun was suddenly in a different place.
BUT WAIT! if you go to sei-an city and stand somewhere so that you can see the clocktower, then use the sun/moon technique, the hands on the clocktower start to move REALLY FAST until they correspond to the time that reflects the technique you used. which means that ammy changing the position of the sun/moon DOES affect the literal flow of time*.
heres the (in-universe) theory part: i think that the sun/moon brush skills at their core are techniques that let ammy control the flow of time by using the place she draws them as a reference point. i think if she wanted to, she could kinda 'scrub' through time the same way you would for a recorded video, but drawing the sun and moon is just easier, faster, and more fun.
im doubling down on this idea because in the beginning of the game when you first get out of the tutorial zone and into kamiki, there's no sun, no stars, no moon, nothing. all of the villagers are statues. i think that orochi's revival caused time to stop, which would explain why drawing the sun is what fixed the problem. by drawing the sun, ammy re-established the flow of time and got it moving again. im willing to bet that the moon technique would have worked just as well, but at that point in the game you obviously dont have access to it
now that i think of it, there are a few more brush techniques that you could argue are time-based. im less confident about those , so i'll list them but refrain from elaborating for now because it would require me to double check some stuff and i dont want to do that right now. also id be here for HOURS. anyway , other than the mist technique, the ones that i think COULD have something to do with messing with time are rejuvination and bloom. *as a side note, im pretty sure when you change from night->day or day->night it moves time forward, but im not sure what it does when you use sun/moon techniques to "reset" the current part of the day.
for instance, when im running around an area looking for stray beads and treasure, theres lights that shine on the spots youre supposed to dig, but only at night. instead of waiting for daybreak , when i hear the owl noise that happens like halfway through the night, i use the moon technique to "reset" the night back to the start. i started doing this because when i was a kid i saw that when you change the time of day , the villagers go "?????" and i felt bad for confusing them. i digress.
i'd be curious to find out since the game keep tracks of how many "days" (day/night cycles) it takes you to complete the game. i want to know if "extending" the night/day moves the "clock" an entire day ahead, or if it moves it back to the start of that original day/night. i can't remember off the top of my head if the number of days affects your overall score for the entire game, but i imagine it doesnt (or if it does, not by much) because of how often you need to be using sun/moon tech to solve puzzles.

Y'know what I haven't made in, like, forever? A FNaF Timeline
I feel like that'd be a good way to introduce myself to the Tumblr FNaF theory community properly, so you can all know what I believe goes in the timeline and where.
Tumblr media
I don't know why Grim Foxy isn't used as the clickbait animatronic for more FNaF timeline thumbnails. He's great! Top 10 designs of the series.
Here's a basic outline:
Midnight Motorist (FFPS)
Training Tapes (FNaF 3)
The June 26th Incident (FNaF 1)
TCttC / SP (FNaF 2 / FFPS)
Give Gifts, Give Life (FNaF 2)
The Bite of '83 (FNaF 4)
Circus Baby's Pizza World
FNaF 2
Sister Location
FNaF 1
30 year gap
FNaF 3
FFPS / UCN
And that's all I'm covering since I don't really care about Help Wanted and if I could I'd remove Security Breach from canon.
Here's a closer examination of each of those items, what I vaguely think is happening there, and some other random neat details and theories that I think I can do justice in this kind of rapid-fire post.

The first canonical event we ever see is William's drunken, abusive father returning home to find that William himself is gone.
Yes, the house in Midnight Motorist shares a lot of similarities to the Afton house we see in FNaF 4 and Sister Location, but I think that's merely to draw parallels between the two. For instance, if we learn that William had a brother that was anything like the older brother in FNaF 4, we can surmise that their relationship probably wasn't great.
And we know the mini-game most likely takes place in the UK because of the cars driving on the left side of the road in the main part of the mini-game.
But the first off-screen event of the timeline is implied by what William has run off to. It's not Jr's, since while it's not explicitly a bar, if we assume Midnight Motorist takes place at midnight, the place is still open then, so it's not a kid's restaurant.
No, instead, William runs off to this.
Tumblr media
The Mysterious Mound, the random unmarked pile of dirt that the Yellow Fellow can stop off and visit.
Something's buried here. But what?
Well, I think it's a pet of some kind, and I think this because of one of the other Lorekeeper mini-games: Fruity Maze, essentially the sister mini-game to Midnight Motorist within the context of the actual tycoon segments, which shows evidence that William revived Susie's dog after it was run over.
Susie tragically lost a beloved pet to a speeding car, William acted sympathetically towards this, and we're also introduced to the fact that William's dad is a drunk driver and that William himself visited a random unmarked pile of dirt in the forest.
It's not that big of a stretch to say that William himself had a pet, and perhaps attempting to revive it was his first ever foray into remnant.
Perhaps the result of this revival experiment he performed as a child is the large footprint we see outside his window.
And what do we see, randomly, throughout Fruity Maze?
Tumblr media
A yellow rabbit, popping out an an unmarked pile of dirt.
Meanwhile in America...
Tumblr media
50 cents? Wasn't that weekly minimum wage back then?
This poster is either a very confusing throwback to the 1930s-1940s Steamboat Willie era of black-and-white animal characters, or it's an indication that Fredbear's Family Diner has been around much longer than 1982, where we previously speculated it to originate.
Which makes sense. It's a family diner, and it's Henry's family, so it was likely passed down to him, and he probably planned to pass the restaurant down to his kids before... y'know.
All five posters indicate that the history of Fredbear's Family Diner continued throughout the '80s, until eventually, William and Henry joined forces to create Freddy Fazbear's Pizza.
Tumblr media
Which soon leads us to...
Training Tapes (FNaF 3)
Head of Security, the Phone Guy, records training tapes for new employees to be able to use the specially-designed suits.
I'm going to be honest, I'm almost completely unsure of things like:
When each of the training tapes is made relative to the creation of the spring-locks, the MCI, and the creation of other characters.
Which animatronics came first: spring-locks or non-spring-locks.
Whether there was a time before Fredbear and Spring Bonnie took over Freddy's where Freddy was the central character.
But since I know the following few events happen during certain eras described in the tapes, I'm putting them here.
This Freddy's was opened from 1983 (based on HW's coins) to 1986 (speculative date) and featured pretty much most of the core events that led to Freddy's downfall.
And as established in a previous post, this Freddy's is the restaurant in FNaF 4, and these first couple tapes were at a time when Fredbear and Spring Bonnie were the face of the restaurant, and Freddy & his band were demoted to plushies, masks, and secondary characters in the Fredbear & Friends cartoon.
Until, tragically, an incident involving multiple and simultaneous spring-lock failures causes the company to retire the spring-locks.
Replacements are stated to be arriving soon, but the Phone Guy also says that the spring-lock suits are temporarily unsafe, and are being retired while they're being looked at by their technician, which would imply a re-introduction of the spring-lock suits that never comes, so it's unlikely the replacements ever came either.
Which once again brings us to...
The June 26th Incident (FNaF 1)
Tumblr media
Whoever spell-checked these should've been fired.
On June 26th, 1983 during the late hours of operation at Freddy's, an employee (William Afton) lured five children into the safe room using the Spring Bonnie hybrid suit, and he stuffed them into the Freddy, Bonnie, Chica, Foxy, and Fredbear animatronics.
While William was seen on-camera and was suspected of the crime, he couldn't be imprisoned because the entire thing happened off-camera and there wasn't enough evidence.
Yes, the newspaper says the suspect was "convicted," but Scott probably didn't know what that word meant seeing as he didn't know how to spell "surveliance" or "pizzaria" in his own game about looking at surveillance cameras in a pizzeria.
The Phone Guy refers to this incident on the fourth tape:
Tumblr media
The fact that the Phone Guy needs to remind employees not to bring patrons into the safe room and not to wear the Spring Bonnie hybrid suit implies that someone did both.
Which means that the MCI must've happened after the spring-lock failure, and after the two golden suits were retired, which explains why the fifth child's body was never found inside the Fredbear suit: it had already been decommissioned.
As for why the missing child in Fredbear, Cassidy, has special powers... I couldn't tell you at the moment.
Fazbear Entertainment, in a panic to recover from this incident, sealed the safe rooms that the children were lured into to prevent William from striking this way again, and sealing the Spring Bonnie animatronic inside, preventing it from being used as evidence.
TCttC / SP (FNaF 2 / FFPS)
Tumblr media
Facial recognition in 1987 makes perfect sense, but a puppet that doesn't destroy itself in the rain? Way above Freddy's standards.
As seen by the "Wanted" posters outside and the fact that the Puppet was made into a security measure, something dangerous already happened at Freddy's. There was clearly a crime before Charlotte was murdered, which only makes sense to be the MCI.
Based on the Take Cake to the Children mini-game, which is followed by the Puppet's jumpscare, the kid who dies possesses the Puppet. This is later confirmed by Henry "Cassette Man" Cheese in a speech where he refers to the Puppet has his daughter, Charlotte E. Cheese.
Since the only controversial part of this is when it happens relative to the MCI, there's not much else to say here. On the general timeline, there's reason to believe it happens in the fall of 1983, since that's when it happens in the novels and the MCI is the one that changes time frame, and the Fallfest of '83 is seen as a relevant date.
Give Gifts, Give Life (FNaF 2)
Tumblr media
From the novels, a continuity where the Puppet is never stated to exist and the child who possesses it in the games has a different fate, the missing children still possess the core five animatronics. Thus, it's probable that whatever the Puppet's doing here, it isn't necessary for the children to possess the animatronics.
A reasonable guess is that what she's doing is an attempt at what happens in Happiest Day, because it's very similar imagery, with the main difference that Happiest Day is more clear that it isn't literal.
And that's what I think this is: nonliteral. The Puppet would have no motivation to hide the bodies, especially if it knew that it would result in the children's souls being trapped in the animatronics. If it didn't know that, it'd be a completely unreasonable decision, and if it did know, then the Puppet would be downright evil.
As for what it is, I'm not 100% sure, because, y'know, this is FNaF, but I know what it isn't, and that it doesn't mean the Puppet was first.
The Bite of '83 (FNaF 4)
Tumblr media
Ever notice how those lights are shining in the wrong direction to be able to cast the shadows on the other screen? Now you do.
Michael Afton, a child who witnessed his father in a Spring Bonnie suit lure five children to the back room at Freddy's, is tragically put in the hospital after a prank gone wrong from his older brother.
I will not be elaborating as to why I think Michael is the younger brother, because it would take up 95% of this post.
Instead I'll be continuing my uncertainty about this part of the timeline. I do definitely believe that this is the Freddy's establishment and I definitely have good reason to believe that the MCI happens prior to this point in the timeline, but I haven't yet placed my finger on why Fredbear and Spring Bonnie are back. I meant what I said earlier about there probably not being replacement suits, ever, and "the suits were temporarily deemed unsafe and then replaced and then made permanently unsafe when another incident happened that wasn't mentioned in the tapes" was definitely not the intention of the tapes when they were written prior to FNaF 3's release.
Granted, I encountered this problem like two days ago so I'll definitely have a solution by then. This post is meant to be a rough timeline anyway, not a complete comprehensive solved timeline.
Tumblr media
Anyways, uh, yeah, Michael dies. He flatlines. But luckily, his good friend Cassidy, who now possesses the Fredbear animatronic, speaks to him on his deathbed, taking the form of the plushie that spoke to him throughout the game, but in a distinctly different text color.
She tells him "We are still your friends," with "we" indicating the other missing children, not the other plushies like many assume.
And then she promises to put him back together.
Then, in FNaF World, throughout the intro and Clock Ending speeches we see "I will put you back together" speech again, with more added to it. If this is in fact the same speech being recited by the same entity to the same entity, then this is Cassidy talking to Michael and promising to put him back together while also giving him instructions on how to access FNaF 3's cake mini-games, which is a task later accomplished by the FNaF 3 guard.
Ergo we can conclude this is a promise to revive him. And that's exactly what happens.
Unfortunately we don't get to see how William and Elizabeth react to this revival, I bet it would've been very entertaining.
Circus Baby's Pizza World
Tumblr media
From the graphic novel of The Fourth Closet, possibly the series at its most abstract.
When Michael was put into a coma, William obviously wanted to be there for his daughter, especially since their mother was probably gone by this point, and may have taken the older brother with her, considering we never see him again. I know what I said.
So, he started designing the Funtimes, a set of animatronics which would resemble the family members that were now gone - Funtime Freddy for Michael, Funtime Foxy for the older brother, and Ballora for the mother, and finally, Circus Baby, who would be Elizabeth's best friend, a gift just for her.
But then, in the wake of his son dying and coming back to life, William had two huge realizations:
Animatronics are kind of dangerous to be around kids.
Animatronics might provide a way to preserve souls.
So, wanting to further this hypothesis, even if it left a little blood on his hands, he transformed the Funtime animatronics into a series of murder robots designed to automatically harvest the agony of children from birthday parties, as we can see from their blueprints.
This, unfortunately, meant breaking his promise to Elizabeth.
Elizabeth couldn't handle this, and because she's a dumb bitch and doesn't have any redeeming qualities. She ends up wanting to see Circus Baby despite William's repeated warnings.
Why do I think this happened after the Bite Victim's death, instead of before, where most people place it?
Well, it simply makes more sense from William's perspective to be more protective of his children after the Bite of '83, as opposed to being super protective of Elizabeth, and then completely ignorant of Michael and his brother in FNaF 4.
Not to mention William is working at Freddy's in FNaF 4, so it would make a lot more sense if that was before he left to start his own restaurant, with... clowns.
Tumblr media
Cancelled on Twitter due to donation leaks. Too soon?
The news excerpt from the infamous "Cancelled due to leaks" teaser tells us that the building was shut down due to gas leaks, and that a person witnessed all of the equipment from the building being taken out under tarps, and that the building was soon for sale.
But that's not the real reason it closed...
Tumblr media
Circus Baby - originally a blue-eyed animatronic - consumed Elizabeth, leaving her with possessed green eyes for the rest of the series, and leaving William with only his son, and a rental facility filled with vengeful animatronics.
New-and-Improved Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (FNaF 2)
Tumblr media
I don't have a funny remark for this picture I just really like this image of classic Freddy and I use it whenever possible.
The fourth and final newspaper clipping from FNaF 1 tells us that the restaurant is set to close by the end of that year, in spite of Fazbear Entertainment's repeated searches for a buyout.
FNaF 2 established that the restaurant in question was open twice, and it makes sense that all four newspapers would be from the first opening, as opposed to three being from the first opening and the fourth being from the second, especially when you look at it as the second game taking a sequel hook from the first.
After all, it was possible for the FNaF 2 restaurant to open in the first place, which meant the company had money. How would they spend "a small fortune" on the Toy animatronics if Fazbear Entertainment had just gone broke a couple years prior?
It was, after all, only in the second newspaper clipping where the restaurant was struggling to keep families returning to the pizzeria. So when they closed the first time, even if the last newspaper isn't in reference to it, it was at least in part because they couldn't keep the business afloat.
Ergo, someone must've bought them out.
And there's evidence that in FNaF 2, the other people in charge are none other than Afton Robotics.
The designs are changed to the friendly-faced rosy-cheeked plastic-esque versions of the robots, trademark Afton.
Foxy's design in particular is changed to Afton's version, white and pink instead of red and orange.
Most importantly, they're all hooked up to some kind of criminal database... kind of like the "CRMN_Inst" (criminal institute) that the Funtimes are connected to according to their maintenance schedule hidden in the Scottgames source code.
They're also the only two sets of robots with facial recognition systems at all, if that's worth mentioning.
But why would William want to own his rival's company?
We get our answer in the form of Savethem.
Tumblr media
William Afton murders five children in this restaurant, but this isn't to further the research of remnant or simply to outlet his rage and get hide it from police; he leaves the bodies in plain sight. Out-of-view of the cameras, sure, but obvious to the customers.
These children don't go on to possess any animatronics, and their peace is never disturbed. They can't be "saved."
This is obviously a stunt to absolutely ruin the reputation of Freddy's, Henry's brand, because William wants to ruin Henry's life. William killed Henry's daughter, bought out his company, probably fucked his wife at some point, and is now running Fazbear Entertainment into the ground with this new obvious murder, possibly all in revenge for Henry making the Fredbear animatronic that killed his son.
Temporarily, of course.
FNaF 2 is all part of William's plan.
Which brings us to Jeremy's week.
Tumblr media
"Even LESS money?!?!" -Elon Musk
As is generally accepted as canon by now, William is the first night guard at this restaurant, the one that gets moved to day shift, and the Savethem murder is committed during one of these day shifts, before the Phone Guy mentions the investigation to Jeremy.
Meaning Jeremy's week is quite eventful.
At the end of the week, Jeremy is moved to day shift for one last event: a birthday party, wherein he is told to "wear your uniform" and "stay close to the animatronics" two things that get Jeremy attacked by an animatronic in what would come to be known as the Bite of '87.
The attacker is most likely the Mangle, given her angle of attack would be perfect for removing the brain.
Then Fritz Smith works one night, is fired, and the game's done.
Which leads us to the second-most intense binary debate as to who Michael Afton is: Jeremy Fitzgerald, or Fritz Smith.
I think Michael is Jeremy.
Jeremy has dreams (as they're referred to in the files) between nights about the FNaF 1 restaurant, showing he clearly has a history with the company and isn't a random bystander.
It makes more sense for the protagonist of all six games to be one person than for one person to be five of the six main protagonists and then one secondary protagonist.
FNaF 4's teasers still connect the nightmares to the Bite of '87, and the evidence we're dreaming as the victim of the Bite of '87 still stands, it wasn't magically erased when Scott confirmed it wasn't what we were seeing in the mini-games. We're dreaming as Michael, therefore Michael is the Bite of '87 victim, Jeremy is also the Bite of '87 victim, therefore Michael is Jeremy.
The common counterarguments are:
Michael can't be the Bite of '87 victim because otherwise he wouldn't be able to have nightmares.
Fritz and Mike Schmidt are fired for the same reasons.
For the first point: do we really think Scott did that much research into the effects of lobotomies before making his silly horror game? Do we really think FNaF adheres to science?
Tumblr media
For the second point: by this point, Scott wasn't planning to make any two protagonists the same person, at least it wasn't likely, so this probably was never intended as evidence for this. Besides, Fritz and Mike being fired for "tampering with the animatronics" is clearly in reference to what the player does, setting the animatronic AIs for the Custom Night challenges.
Ergo, them performing the same action is adequately explained by the player being in control of both characters when it was performed, in the same way it'd be ridiculous to argue that two GTA characters are the same because, while the player was controlling both, they were arrested for the same crime.
More importantly, Fritz is someone else: the Phone Guy.
The last we hear of who'll be replacing us is that the Phone Guy doesn't have anyone lined up, but he does plan on taking over the night shift when the restaurant reopens, so it's entirely possible that the Phone Guy took over, but Scott wanted to leave a little wiggle room for the sake of mystery.
And despite it being Fritz's first day on the job (not just with the company, mind you) he doesn't get a phone call instructing him on how to work as a nightguard.
Ergo, Jeremy is Michael, and Fritz is the Phone Guy.
Tumblr media
Man, Scott got through a whole newspaper without making a typo... wait, nevermind, the first sentence uses the wrong "its." "--closing it is doors."
The New-and-Improved Freddy's is scrapped, the old robots are being kept in storage in case the old restaurant reopens, and the new ones are scrapped completely because of the Bite of '87.
Sister Location
Tumblr media
Michael Afton, under his father's instruction, takes a job at the rental facility, Circus Baby's Entertainment & Rentals, and it doesn't go well. After working his five nights, he has his organs scooped out, and Ennard (the amalgamation of all four robots that desperately wanted to escape) crawls into him. He slowly rots over the course of a week before vomiting Ennard out.
Tumblr media
It's here, it's there, it's everywhere!
Boy, that was a quick summary! That's because most of that is generally agreed upon and I don't feel the need to explain it; we're playing as Mike, Ennard is the other animatronics, yadda yadda.
But there's still one question left in Sister Location: who the hell is preventing the Sister Location animatronics from leaving?
What the hell at Afton Robotics is more powerful than William, the CEO, and would prevent him from simply moving the animatronics out of the facility because he's the boss?
My answer? HandUnit.
(or more accurately the series of automated systems within the facility that HandUnit is the voice of.)
It's my belief that everything runs on automation at CBE&R, and that something is watching the animatronics, but we're not told what, and that the animatronics have been trying to destroy or escape HandUnit, but have failed thus far.
It really isn't hard to believe given how sus HandUnit is as a character and how much he says things that directly oppose what Baby & the gang tell you, and just how much he encourages Michael to shock and torture the animatronics. He's in charge of all that.
HandUnit is the real villain of Sister Location, class dismissed.
...wait, no, come back, I'm not done yet--
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza (FNaF 1 / Logbook)
Tumblr media
Freddy Fazbear's Pizza reopens under its own management, on what very little budget they had after closing down in 1987. This time, though, Afton Robotics' main facility had killed almost all of its employees, and Afton himself really didn't do much to run the company, and Henry was either elsewhere at this point or was too depressed to want to come back, so I'm not sure who exactly is opening this restaurant up again, but it doesn't particularly matter.
Michael Afton once again works here -- as he would later state, his goal is to find his father.
He uses the name Mike Schmidt, which has a couple interpretations: (1) "Schmidt" could be his mother's maiden name, which would make sense if he were distancing himself from the Afton name, (2) "Mike Schmidt" could be a name that wasn't his real one but would still be one his father would recognize, or (3) "Schmidt" could simply be pulled out of his ass, but again, not super important.
What is important is that this is when he writes in the Logbook.
Cassidy -- Golden Freddy -- likely mistakes Michael for William, but when she realizes who he is, she helpfully leaves him clues in the Logbook to help him remember his past: that there was a party where he got bit and he died.
This is quite confusing to Michael.
But yeah, besides the Logbook taking place in 1993, there's nothing really for me to establish here. Mike just works a week at Freddy's, which he's done before. The End.
wait no that's not the end come back--
30 Year Gap
Scottgames: "You are crowding us." FNaFworld: "Be quiet." Scottgames: "You can't tell us what to do anymore." FNaFworld: "Yes, I can. You will do everything that I tell you to do." Scottgames: "We outnumber you." FNaFworld: "That doesn't matter, dummy." Scottgames: "We found a way to eject you." FNaFworld: "You would be lost without me." Scottgames: "Ha, ha! Say goodbye to our friend!" FNaFworld: "I can put myself back together."
Based on this "conversation" between Scottgames and FNaFworld's respective websites, Circus Baby and the rest of Ennard had a bit of a dispute, which is why Baby is separate later on.
In this conversation, FNaF World represents Baby and Scott Games represents the other Ennard animatronics, particularly Freddy.
Tumblr media
In 1994, the most dangerous job in Hurricane Utah was furry.
After Freddy Fazbear's closes down one last time, William returns to the abandoned facility and destroys the four remaining animatronics. William encounters Molten Freddy -- Ennard sans Baby -- and captures it, performing experiments on it with remnant and using the abandoned safe room as a hideout.
He adds the five missing children's endoskeletons to it (or perhaps just four if Fredbear's is already in there) and thus the spirits of those children are now in Molten Freddy.
I'm not sure what William intended to accomplish with that, but he seems pretty firmly uncertain of what the hell he's doing when he experiments in The Fourth Closet, with only vague goals in mind, so I don't see that as anything near a character inconsistency.
Unfortunately, the spirits of the children are pretty damn angry that their spirits are now voiced by Kellen Goff (I'm kidding, of course, the kids are still angry about the murder) and they take revenge, forcing William into the Spring Bonnie suit, but in a panic, he trips the locks, and the endoskeleton parts completely impale him.
Even though Freddy's is closed, the remaining Freddy's higher-ups find out that the safe room was broken open, and they seal it up again, so that nothing remains of the legacy.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile, Michael lives in the shadows and promises his father that one day, he will find him. Michael's motivation at this point is simply finding answers: what happened to him? Why is he still alive? Why did he survive the Bite of '83? And why did he survive Sister Location?
And most importantly... did William really kill those children?
So, to recap, at this point in the timeline, and for the next thirty years, we have Michael laying low as a corpse waiting for any sign of his father, William trapped in the safe room inside his musty old fursuit, and Baby and Molten Freddy crawling around in the sewer and the streets, likely gaining a reputation not unlike the Stitchwraith.
So... what breaks it? What ends this thirty year gap in the timeline? What, around 2023, ends this timeline stagnation?
Well, we could answer the opening of Fazbear's Fright, but then, whose idea was that? Look at the text of FNaF 3's trailer...
He will come back. He always does. We have a place for him.
This is in reference to the Purple Guy, obviously, and the "place for him" is Fazbear's Fright. The plan was to invite Springtrap into a building and set him on fire.
And the line is perfectly fitting for Henry.
Tumblr media
No comment.
I'm not saying that the character of Henry was planned since FNaF 3 any more than the character of Charlie was planned since Take Cake, but the roles that those characters would later fill were planned, to the extent that FNaF 3 and its trailer established William as having an old nemesis, and Henry was simply an expansion of this concept.
So now the question is, why did Henry wait so long to enact revenge?
Here's one hypothesis... he was in prison. He was framed for the incident of June 26th, 1983. The novels say William was never caught due to a lack of video evidence, even though the first game says a suspect was caught. Earlier in this post I reconciled this by claiming it was later changed and/or that Scott didn't know what "convicted" meant, but is it also possible someone else took the fall?
Someone William would absolutely frame if he had the chance?
After all, the novels also tell us that Henry was suspected, though everyone who knew him knew he would never do it.
I'm not claiming this as 100% true. I'm like 60% sold on this theory and haven't really found any GOOD evidence yet that this is what Scott intended as of FFPS. But it makes complete sense as a story, as a revenge plot, and it gives a satisfying answer to this question.
The thirty year gap ends with FNaF 3, marking the third act of the original FNaF saga: Henry's comeback.
Fazbear's Fright: The Horror Attraction (FNaF 3)
Tumblr media
Based on this timeline, there must've been a confrontation at some point wherein a grizzled, vengeful, forty-years-in-prison Henry who recruits the Phone Dude, this chill, laid-back 21-year-old surfer bro, and oh my god I wish they had screen time together. I want to see that so bad. That should be a TFTPP story.
Anyway, with these two ragamuffins teamed up, they open the horror attraction at an amusement park, and they search the original Freddy Fazbear's Pizza for relics.
What they find initially are the original four animatronics... as empty shells, disconnected limbs, with no endoskeletons.
Tumblr media
Because that's how they were left by the Purple Guy's rampage.
Then, a guy who helped design one of the buildings (probably Henry) tipped them off to the existence of the safe rooms, and when they checked, they found a real animatronic: Springtrap.
After five more nights, the building burns down, and as discussed in the last section, this was probably the work of Purple Guy's enemy, the one from the FNaF 3 trailer who would later become Henry. Especially considering the plot of FFPS.
Speaking of which...
Freddy Fauxbear's (Pizzeria Simulator)
Tumblr media
So, turns out, Springtrap, the Puppet, Henry, and Michael all survived the fire of FNaF 3. Whoops. Honestly I'm fine with that, just as long as that doesn't happen again.
Honestly the only potential casualty in FNaF 3's fire could have been the Phone Dude... poor guy. So innocent.
Anyways, Henry pretends to open up a new Freddy Fazbear's location, knowing that his old friend William and the remnants of Ennard will show up. He also creates a new animatronic, Lefty, to deploy, search for, and integrate with the Puppet, to lead back to the restaurant so it can be with all the others.
The Puppet, Scraptrap, Scrap Baby, and Molten Freddy are, to Henry's knowledge, the only remains of remnant in the series, the only possessed materials that weren't burned in Fazbear's Fright, so all he has to do to put an end to this nightmare is lure all of them back to a restaurant and burn it to the ground with them inside.
Michael Afton also returns, which Henry doesn't expect. Michael, unlike Henry, knows that he contains remnant, and thus to end the horrors of Freddy's legacy once and for all, he allows himself to be sacrificed as well.
And that's where the original FNaF 1-6 timeline ends.
With Henry taking revenge and ending it all.
Tumblr media
He definitely succeeded. There were no more games after that.
So, what did you think? How much of this did you agree with? Did you find this post easy to read? Let me know your thoughts.
Love yourself, ~Spook

4, 14, 23, 33 for the oc asks >:)
Thanks! For clarification, nat is natia - I keep track of her different versions with different nicknames & nat is her current form (which I will do a write-up later for. once I am not in email hell with my university)
Also. I am. Exceptionally chatty & stream-of-consciousness tonight. As a warning. I've barely started this and it's getting. so long. srry
(also my 'o' key is sticking bad tonight so if it's just missing here and there. it just is.)
4. Who can cook? What's their favourite thing to cook?
None of my girls can cook. They're all absolute shit cooks (general consensus). Nat likes to cook! She can only make stews, and only with difficult ingredients, and her idea of "seasoned" is "spicy enough to kill". Tabris...no. Miri? Good luck? Maran would eat bread and cheese for every meal if it wouldn't result in her untimely demise
Malachite is a passable cook. In that she understands the basics and others can eat her food & she wants to learn how to cook more food/better. She likes to do stewed apples because it means she gets a few quiet hours next to the fire to herself.
14. Who makes their bed every morning? Who thinks it's a waste of time?
(Not OCs but. I think Al makes his bed every morning AND thinks it's a waste of time)
Honestly, Tabris (name yet undecided...) makes her bed. Semblance of pride, keep things neat for the people she cares for. She's an absolute ass to everyone but draws the line at making their communal living room terrible.
& Miri never makes her bed. Source of A Lot of tension w/Leandra but. Why would she make her bed when someone will end up in it in like 5 minutes? (Between little siblings, dog, friends who are basically dogs, being promiscuous...)
23. Who dog ears pages? Who thinks that's an ABOMINATION?
Okay - and bear with me here - Nat HATES dog-earing. It seems really out of character for her, given how little she cares for artificial sanctity for everything else & how insistent she is that most histories/books are useless because they leave out the experiences/truth of most of the population. & she went thru a phase where she defaced all the writing/records she could find (not to obscurity but enough to "make a mark", largely when she was a teenager). But once she learns to read, the preservation of these pages, of the story; the respect that should be afforded to the soul of the writer that has been put onto this paper - no matter how much she may disagree with the view or the author, that is not the words' fault - dog earing may be the worst crime someone could commit.
& Honestly Miri dog ears pages. she has never had that same form of scarcity, but the idea that she's adding herself to the story by folding the pages is addictive. She gets an ARC copy of Varric's books (esp the Champion...names escape me right now) & they are utterly DESTROYED by her notes & folding pages & ripping out ones that are just too egregious (or that she wants to put on her wall).
[Also, what is the paper industry in Thedas? Who makes the paper? How are these books/serials printed & bound? Where are the resources coming from?]
33. Who has the most genre awareness? Who has the least?
Malachite has No Fucking Clue about genre. She is Just A Dwarf and she is Tired and she is going to do the One Small Task this Inquisition asks for her and she will Carefully Bitch about it and Not Lie about her role in the Carta so that Hopefully They Will Let Her Go ASAP. It's kind of funny tbh. Look at her talking to Josephine (major crush) and going. Ma'am idk what you're talking about but. You do remember when we were in the War Room and Leliana read a letter about my "friend" that wants me dead and asked if she should make him disappear and I said yes? You do remember that?
Do you really think I "just ran lyrium" "on the surface"?
Also, why would I HAVE a brand if I had never been to Orzammar (& been regularly for it to be worth getting a permanent tattoo)?**
I know Nat is my answer for almost anything but she is SO genre aware it basically ruins her life. She really really is so embroiled in the awareness that in a hero story like this, usually the hero dies, or are forever changed, to the point that she spends literally the entire Blight torn between "don't get close to these people" and "YOLO" because she expects - for no provable reason (but a bit of sense) - that she Will Not survive the end of the blight.
(She does survive, but she really burns herself with Al & Zev because of it. Leli she doesn't have such a bad falling out with actually? Maybe bc they slept together Once and then Nat was like "cool but. not the messiah. you're a little too...chanty...and I am literally not a person in your belief system? and kind of tired of that wouldn't yaknow" and they had like a month of things being weird and then got back fine. Whereas she doesn't want Zev to have Another partner die, and she's like "Dude Al, you gotta make it & be (figurehead?) king bc I'm not going to and someone's gotta try to keep things together for like 5 minutes while you're cleaning up after the blight")
**actually this kind of bugs me bc we see surfacer merchant that paints his brand on to sell in Orzammar, showing that dwarva that are casteless by virtue of being surfacers are welcome in Orzammar Commons IFF they are filling a need. I know Josie wouldn't know this but it still bothers me that the answer Cadash is scripted for is "the Carta has its ways" and not "do you REALIZE how much Orzammar relies on surface trade?"

Best/Worst Moments of 2022
I’m making this tradition for my blog now, sorry. Or you’re welcome? Dunno how many people actually read these lmao.
Best:
Went to my first real concert this year! I saw Twice with my friend and they played *checks setlist* 33 songs in the span of 2 hours what the fuck.
I FUCKING SAW GIDLE LIVE VIP.
FIRST FAMOUS PERSON I MET WAS SOYEON AND SHE’S ONE OF THE VERY FEW PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY INSPIRE ME BRO
YUQI SAID WORDS TO MY FACE EVEN IF THEY WERE GENERIC
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Music wise I got really into dnb, idm and (older) breakcore. Biggest fixation was Pendulum. My taste is weird I know lmao but this is some really interesting electronic music here.
Started working jobs. In the summer I worked as a cashier for a grocery store, and then I worked at a dining hall at my college (usually cleaning, I tried to avoid getting the serving position). Making money is nice ngl.
Speaking of college, I transferred from the regional city campus to the main campus. Didn’t get housing, but I live in a small apartment complex right next to campus. Pretty neat experience, prepping me for the real world yada yada.
I finally started to learn animation related things. I took a modeling + lighting/texturing class and they were fun. Next semester I’ll be doing some actual animating. yey!
Got to hang out with my friend outside of school and concerts hell yeah
I know this sounds very mundane but as an introvert with little friends, I appreciate these moments a lot..probably more than the average person.
Corporate Clash had a big update right as I started getting into it again godbless.
DHMIS show came out after forever and it was fkn awesome, well worth the wait. Check it out if you’re into dark, British humor (and don’t mind mild gore).
Worst:
My schedule for this semester sucked so much ass. Was super busy all the time, which was not good for me considering the fact I am a Chronic Procrastinator. Sometimes I barely had time to study.
Didn’t make many finished digital drawings this year...again...oops...
Also didn’t really get into new fandoms, primarily stuck with Idle and Red Velvet. I adore them of course, but at the same time I wanna get into a new show/game since it’d probably be more stimulating and I can get attached to an actual fictional character again
I used to be able to balance my musical interests with my geekier interests, but kpop is designed to suck you in at all times and I guess I became victim to that lma
Almost every other social media site is becoming so corporate and I hate it so much oh my god make it stop. Gonna start saying “bring back blogs and forums” again for real, I can’t stand this centralization of things.
AI art. Do I even have to explain why I don’t like this as a digital artist myself?
Don’t even get me started on the HBO Max bullshit. What they did to Infinity Train especially was so fucked up.
