The lack of self-awareness game in Zutara shippers is crazy as shit,Katara and Zuko were obsessed with Aang the whole show while thinking the other was the biggest loser in existense and Katara said 1613948 times she hates having to act like a mom and wants to be a real kid and rizzed up Aang like almost every episode starting from The Boy In The Iceberg and Zuko's redemption arc only worked because he was actually willing to unpack his baggage and improve as a person and rid himself of his bigoted ways and selfish treatment of others because he didn't deserve to be babied after all he did to the Gaang and it's hammered into our heads in-text and so's that Aang and him are platonic cosmic soulmates by choice against the universe trying to keep them apart and Katara is Litte Miss Punk Tactics(reclaiming femininity against traditionalism and cisheteronormatovity and fucking eco-terrorism at 14 as her lifestyles??????Damn okay slay babygirl)and YET,

Okay i can't even list off everything Zutaras gentrify in the fandom because the list is longer than Iroh's beard but i will say that Katara ending up with Zuko is about as dark richer storytelling than Kataang + Dadko as telling Bob The Builder 'No we can't',about as feminist as Rick Riordan and about as positive rep for woc as The Hunchback of Notre Dame

Ok so he’s arospec definitely, he and Katara are in the world’s cutest QPR! Idk about acespec tho, but he’s definitely pan and polyam <3

Also he’s genderfluid, technically. the Air Nomads didn’t really have a concept of gender, so Aang just goes by whatever people decide to call him. He’s often perceived as a man in the Earth Kingdom, as a woman in the Fire Nation, and the Water Tribes don’t have gendered pronouns :)

Ty Luko anon is back!!Yes yes i have a few headcanons for my comfort ship:

Ty Lee teaches Zuko how to do her braid and it becomes a routine for them.Ty Lee will even walk around with her hair down if she can't find Zuko to do her hair yet

Both autistic but in opposite ways.The best way i can describe is that Zuko has goth autism while Ty Lee has pastel autism

Ty Lee is very physically affectionate and Zuko is very flustered about it at first but his touch starved ass can't help but love it

Aang is definitely their wingman!!Him and Ty Lee have grown very close and he encourages Zuko to pursue her because he sees how good they are to and for eachother

Zuko is surprisingly a huge romantic.He spoils her with gifts,calls her cheesy nicknames and is extremely protective of her-Not in an overbearing way,he's just scared of seeing her hurt

T4T!!If i stick to canon,it's with nonbinary trans boy Zuko and transfem demigirl Ty Lee but i'm a lot like Ty Lee and i'm afab genderfluid so i also love seeing them as transmasc4transmasc ;w; Transfem4transfem is also very good ofc,trans girl Zuko fits so well!!

he/him used for genderfluid!aang and they/them used for genderqueer!toph.

the avatar is genderfluid, so naturally that is what aang is.

the monks taught him about gender varience, and said it was normal for him to feel the way he did.

aang doesn't really care what pronouns use for him since he's usually percieved as a man, but internally he feels all over the place.

toph's parents didn't really accept toph's transness, and forced them to stay quiet. their parents told them that they were "too young to know" and "there is only man and woman."

toph came out to the whole group after being on the road for a couple days, and threatened to leave if the others didn't like it. aang let toph know that they were not alone in their gender weirdery.

aang found toph very, very beautiful and was so nervous around them all the time. it made learning to earthbend difficult.

there wasn't any confession; they just slowly grew closer and closer until the others in the group pointed it out.

neither of them are big on pda.

aang calls toph his "partner" and toph calls aang their "boygirlfriend."

toph enjoys being the big spoon, and toph the little. they cuddle in private.
