UNWOUND FUTURE RAAHHHHHHHH!!! What an AMAZING trilogy conclusion with such a perfect setup for future sequels. I cannot recommend playing Professor Layton enough.

Summary:

WHAT A PHENOMENAL GAME!!! Truly what a great “conclusion” to the main trilogy. You learn so much about Layton, Luke, flora, and many other characters like don paolo. The ending reveal of Clive was CRAZY. It really reminded me of movies like howls moving castle/the iron giant. I also just love how complex Clive is. He was driven to violence because of how the government treated him and his family, but he never truly wanted to hurt people. He was without any hope and thought mass destruction would finally bring some change to the government, but he also made sure to include Layton in his plans because he so desperately wanted someone to stop him. It’s tragic and terrorism definitely wasn’t the way to go but at least this is a fictional story and that death machine looked kinda sick Ngl. The story of Layton and Claire was also so tragic yet so healing. Layton could finally take off his hat without feeling grief, you never would’ve known he was hurting that much. I loved Claire, she seemed like such an amazing person and I’m glad Layton wasn’t swayed to try to bring her back, although he did falter when he had to say goodbye again. Although I highly enjoyed the game, I am slightly disappointed there was no actual evil Layton. How fun would a game with evil Layton be omg. The whole game constantly caught me by surprise, even by small scenes like Beasly and PUZZLETTE. I’m still a littel confused about the lab experiments with Gumbo and subject 3, I’m not quire sure why they added that plot (and have no resolution) but I liked Gumbo fine. My favorite coin animal will always be hot dog though. I cannot recommend this series enough, I am having the time of my life. I can also see how DGS was heavily inspired by these games and im so glad about it bc dgs was game changing. I can’t believe there was a 26 year wait in between UF and NWOS but im glad to be a Layton fan :’) so fucking glad!!!!

I dont play twisted wonderland, but I wanted to make something for this fandom from reading multiple yan!twst. I kept most things vague, but if I got something wrong about a character tell me. One day when I am finally able to change my phone the first thing i would do is download this game TvT

Imagine just a small child was the one who gets taken into twisted wonderland rather than Yuu. The small child doesn't even know where she was as the cat who was surprised kept bugging her with question after queation about how you got here and such.

You cant answer, you didnt even have the answers as you just remember falling asleep on your bed peacefully only to wake up in a huge box opened by a cat.

A talking cat at that.

Dear the stress you gave to the poor thing when you suddenly grabbed the cat's cheeks and just pulled them. Made the poor cat yell in pain.

Crowley found you soon after, shocked to see a small child here in twisted wonderland! As he too started to ask where your parent was and how did you get here even berating the cat for being you here. (The cat Grim just continued to vehemently deny that he was the one who brought you here!!) You could not answer the man, just cheerfully telling the man that you were sleeping in your bed only to wake up here.

After realizing that he can't get any answers from your Crowley just picked you up in his arms as he called the other teachers to his office.

The other teachers were also surprised when they saw you in Crowley's arms. They had wondered why the headmaster suddenly called for an emergency meeting and expected a few things may have gone wrong or some sort sure...

but a kid??

Sam jokingly asked if you were Crowley's kid that he never told anyone about which Crowley pointedly denied. He soon explained what had happened.

The teachers tried to push you for answers, some almost demanding you to give them till you burst out crying for feeling so much pressure. Professor Mozus suddenly took you away from Crowley's arms comforting you in his arms trying to shush as he glared at the other teachers for being so pushy to a small kid.

Slowly they found out that you were from another realm, not from here and that they cant just easily send you off to your home.

Your family probably thought you were kidnapped at this point!

Crowley had an idea of sending you to an orphanage while he research a way to get you back to your home but reasons aroused that made it impossible to send you away like that.

That the teachers were forced to take care of you.

That would not be a problem at all…. sure…

Who will be taking care of the kid?

It was Mozus who spoke first at the silent atmosphere saying that he would be the one taking care of you tho he would probably occasionally need help if his teacher's duty kept him busy and that was fine with others.

A lot of students were shocked to see you in professor Mozus's arms most of the second years and up have to blink multiple of times or rub their eyes shocked to see a kid with the professor much less smiling at the old guy. The fact that he was also smiling at you made many students believe that this was either a dream or an illusion some choosing to forget the whole thing.

Well, as if that was possible when you follow the old guy to class listening in on the lessons... Listening to the old man or occasionally be seen drawing something while the old man would yell at the student who stared at you for too long.

Sometimes they found you to be with other teachers who looked rather awkward to the fact that they had to watch you. Sometimes they would yell only to hold their tongue when they realize a small child was there in their classroom and might cry like she did last time and they won't be able to fix the situation.

But time went by they grew more and more attached to you. They started to often fight on who you would stay with when Mozus was busy, not only that they started to ask Mozus if he ever wants rest they could help him watch over you. It was suspicious when they do that for Mozus who always deny their offer preferring to be with you than let others take care of you.

It was even annoying when Crowley started to ask Mozus if he could take care of you at that point Mozus's cat would hiss at the headmaster wearing a crow mask daring him not to go near you or even touch you.

Lucius was also the same with the students hissing at those who wanted to talk to you. The more curious students would often try to get close to while the teacher is teaching to ask who you were and if you really were the daughter of professor Mozus or any other questions that had to deal with the rumors floating around not before they were caught by a teacher and shooed away from you.

There were many rumors floating around about you and since they can't go near you and the teachers all give mixed or vague answers none of those rumors were able to be put to rest.

There were rumors where people thought that you were the daughter of Professor Mozus who gave his daughter to the other professors to take care of her every so often. That somehow Professor Mozus had either fallen in love or had a one night stand incident or just something when tho almost nobody could believe that.

Professor Mozus would often smile if asked if you were his daughter about it not denying or accepting the rumors to be true, while other teachers would quickly deny any claims of it which only made things all the more suspicious really. (Tho everybody saw the sour face professor Mozus had when asked about the mother.)

Mozus would get you to wear a more sophisticated look with dark colors and frills occasionally he would make you wear a more pastel lolita style, it makes you look as if you were really the daughter of Mozus which the professors absolutely dislike. So whenever they got you they would quickly swap your outfit that Mozus picked into something more their style. Crowley probably has a small mask and coat that is similar to his when he would make you wear as you go around campus carried in his arms as you giggled at how ticklish the feathers on the mask were.

When you are in Divus's hands you would be wearing a small white fur coat as he told you to straighten your back and chin up. The professor tries to make you a model somtimes and would nag you to keep the jacket on even when you feel stuffy. While Sam would make you wear clothes oh his color tones with an added skull as you try and help around the shop (most things he wouldn't dare you to touch would be placed on the high shelves). Same for Ashton where he would make you wear something of sports wear.

At some point, the professors started fighting for your attention trying to get you to come them that day with promises, candy, toys and even more. The students who have seen this happening cannot believe their ears so much so that they again choose to believe that all this was a dream and nothing more, choosing in the end to forget what had happened and when somebody talks about it they block their ears and started a shout as if doing that could deny them the reality of what has happened.

It was never said that Crowley stopped seaching for a way for you to go back. They didnt want you to leave having grown so attached to you, they wanted to be with you, they wanted you to stay while they became your official guardians.

So when you started to cry wanting to see your parents, they will soothe you by telling you that it was alright, that it was okay that they would be with you and that they would never abandon you. They would not disappear like your parents did and they would love you more than your parents ever did.

Really it is rather often that some of the teachers would fight over who actually becomes your father, sure all of them became your guardians but who is like your father? Sam is alright being your uncle so long as he was your favorite uncle but like it was never decided who is your father…

im impressed by all the Tsukasa questions you get, hes such a strange little fellow And i also have a question about him lol

I feel like tsukasas the kind of person whose willing to confide in others about his problems (which i think hes openly said), namely the troupe, and if its minor enough, Saki and/or Toya as well. i always got the impression that he thinks he must always be the big brother/leader no matter what because thats really what he was his whole life, i mean he didnt have many to rely on as a child either, did he? Now maybe i just have bad memory, but i dont think hes ever confided in anyone about his childhood? i believe in dazzling stage he was able to sort of heal from the sorrow he felt as a child, but that was all. like. *just* him, no? i always thought the majority of the tsukasa angst written about in the fandom was greatly exaggerated, one of them being how he bottles up his problems, but what im asking is, is that really so far from how he actually is? i think the main thing he feels he just cant talk to others about is his past i feel is a very very important part of his character

I'm also of the opinion that Tsukasa does know how to share his problems (mainly show related), but his upbringing certainly influences how he grows up to be so independent. We know that Tenma parents love both children but I believe that concession had to have been made in the past. Like leaving Tsukasa alone lots of time, Tsukasa visiting Saki most of the time (like it took Ichika 2 hours by train just to go there iirc and she's accompanied by her mom, Tsukasa probably just goes back and forth as often as he could), etc. And because Tsukas also knows that not sharing his problem might make others worry about him even more, so he's fine with letting them know on a need-to-know basis.

And you're totally right! All WxS know is that Saki was sick and hospitalized a lot, so Tsukasa wants to make her smile through shows.... That's it. Other info WxS gets about Tsukasa's past is mainly from Saki, Toya, and Shizuku, not from Tsukasa himself.

While Tsukasa knows how to ask for help, he doesn't really confide his personal issues with other people. Like how he doesn't tell anyone that yeah he felt lonely and sad when Saki was hospitalized and how he just buried those feelings deep inside because they hurt, or how he feels so powerless because his dream just feels so far away. Heck, even in Our Happy Ending we just finally get Tsukasa admitting that parting with WxS makes him feels lonely and it's for Emu to admit her own feelings and cry in front of them. Tsukasa is being vulnerable because he wants Emu to be vulnerable in front of them as well. That's just how much Emu and WxS means to him.

And well, angstkasa definitely amped up the angst to eleven, but I personally think canon Tsukasa just doesn't think much about his problem? Canon Tsukasa problem is that sometimes he's rushing through things--partly due to his personality and partly due to how he just doesn't process his negative emotions that much. And canon tsukasa doesn't really share what he's doing/feeling as long as it doesn't hinder their shows and his family & friends (everyone is surprised when they found out that tsukasa met the otori brothers alone to ask for more opportunities outside wonder stage). I get the feeling that he thinks sharing positive feelings is fine but sharing negative feelings is something that happens just when it's necessary.

About bottling up problems, canon tsukasa tends to go like this:

"Oh, this feels painful/difficult"

Option 1: "I have to do something to remedy it myself!" & Option 2: "It's not important right now so let's just forget about it! (but it's still there)"

Option 1 usually results in him doing things himself without anyone knowing the underlying problem

Continuation of option 2: "Why is this still a problem? Damn, it hinders our show."

"Maybe it's okay to ask for some advice? Just enough so it can help our show without troubling the others that much"

"Okay, I'll try to solve it myself with your advice" => by Phoenix Edge WxS is helping and watching over Tsukasa in this step! This is progress!

SELF-REFLECTION or inner monologue about how it hurts very much but he got this! For everyone and for the show!

Tsukasa doesn't do bottling up problems, he just doesn't think it's a problem while it is very much a problem. Rui realizes it in Pop in My Heart, and Emu and Nene is aware of it by Dazzling Stage. That's why they're so supportive of Tsukasa in Phoenix Edge, and how they become much kinder towards Tsukasa now (especially after the update). Unless Tsukasa being full of himself or an embarrassment, they didn't really tease/prank him that much compared to before.

I think the most noticeable evidence is how both EN and JP fandoms thought Rui would tease Tsukasa over their height difference, only for the official team to say "no, current Rui would not do that, he likes to see Tsukasa smiles". AND THAT'S A HUGE IMPROVEMENT!!! Now, WxS is learning how Tsukasa ticks--even Nene's tongue isn't as poisonous as it was before. Tsukasa learns how to be okay by himself growing up, and now WxS is learning how to let Tsukasa not-be-okay in his own pace. They've seen him being depressed and ruminating his problem by himself right before their very eyes after all, so I guess they're learning to be softer so he would loosen up around them and more willing to share his feelings if he's up for it. The problem is that Emu, Nene, and Rui is also still learning how to push, while for Tsukasa there's nothing to push (while it actually stacks in the corner to be processed later).

Besides, I think Tsukasa just thinks that his past isn't that necessary to be shared as long as he remembers his true feelings. But yeah, it's a huge part of Tsukasa's character, actually. He doesn't really share his personal feelings and past as long as it's not necessary. It's interesting how WxS story also deals about "you're not alone anymore, so don't hesitate to rely on us about anything" while the group leader is more of a "need-to-know basis" in terms of opening up lol.

please tell me that it's not only me who finds han seo jun annoying. like,, boy you know that girl doesn't like you, she likes your friend and he likes her too, they love each other and desrve to be together.

then in the end, the way writers made him some kind of sacrificial hero for "giving up" on jukyung and "letting her go" to suho.. when she was never HIS to "give up".... ooooh so fucking sad isn't it?

i hate that majority of posts, tweets etc under true beauty hashtags are about how fucking cool, miserable and heartbroken seo jun because the girl he liked didnt love him back all while jukyung went through hell and back with her journey of self love and body positivity, suho literally lost half of his family and had to suffer so much but ohhhh look, the self appointed kabab me haddi is the show stealer here.

it really really really doesn't help that hwang in yeop just contiues to do roles where he is the miserable second lead who doesnt get the girl (18 again, sound of magic) and now he will play the character of he zi qui in the remake of the chinese drama go ahead where he zi qui was miserable and suffered alot and didn't get the girl (mostly because he ziqui never liked jianjian in a romantic way but his insecurities were eating him up when he found out jian jian and ling xiao were together and not to forget, the major part of go ahead drama was focused on jian jian's father and whole family trying to tell hi zi qui he was the part of family and not outsider and helping him to overcome his insecurities and fear of abandonment.) and you know WHAT? i am TIRED of seeing this actor in these heartbroken second lead roles.. like, PICK A BETTER SCRIPT DAMMIT!!! i'll have to see 1000 more reels of people crying that how his character deserved better, and others are just side characters in their own show because mr. i-am-miserable-because-the-girl-i-like-doesnt-like-me-back deserves better 💁🏻‍♀️

i just can't understand why this guy cant go for different roles and not just the same one again n again. he should try main roles. it definitely is not like he is having shortage of options cuz he prolly is in demand after true beauty. idk how am i supposed to enjoy the go ahead remake with his miserable ass face on screen again.

coming back to the main point: i can't, just can't understand why tf han seo jun is so fucking overrated when he is literally like every other second lead ever! you cannot go through any suho-jukyung content without people crying "but han seojun🥺" under it. this over hyping only makes his character even more annoying because people romanticize him so much that they just make up delusional narratives about how he was better than suho etc etc etc.

han seo jun is likable and cute when you don't have annoying people inserting him everywhere and crying about him. the overhype just repulses me alot.

phewww. i have been wanting to say this all since a long time cuz i am annoyed as fuck seeing han seojun everywhere overhyped to the point that people sideline suho-the actual main lead and downplay everything about him. and also say shit about jukyung.. like, leave my baby alone it's not her problem the kabab me haddi was stubborn. this all just gets on my nerves after one point because not matter how much you try to avoid it.. these things just comes back to haunt you when you try to ignore them.

this michaelrika kaibanks just ruined everything for me. especially considering banks is my favorite character and i only continued with the series so i could get crumbs of her(which didn happen thanks to pd always favouring rika and thrusting her into situations where she is not needed). honestly, that bonus scene does not sound like banks AT ALL. her worrying about how her how "family" doesnt love her enough after 10 damn years made me want to break something especially since pd made it out like they all adore and love Rika while making banks feel like she was not part of the inner circle. moreover if emory would have become good friends with any one in that weird-ass grp it would have been with banks but NO pd has to make it all about rika..in a bonus scene... about Banks. idk why no one is talking abt that. and this is so against the found family theme pd set up in the books.

kai kai kai what do i even say abt this guy. past kai was such a gem. like i will fight anyone who says otherwise. him and banks were SO DAMN CUTE but the present one.. not so much. in the bonus scene banks asks rika did she go around walking knowing that she could have had kai again and again if banks didnt come into the picture. i think kai WOULD HAVE had rika again if he hadnt found banks and i cant just ignore it no matter how much i try. also why is kai ALWAYS going "rika this rika that" even after he found banks. ik everything and every character in the dn universe is about rika coz pd created them but it is just disturbing kai is like this even though he knows that makes banks uncomfortable.

i was so excited when pd said she was gonna write a bonus scene for dn but MY GOD I WISH I DIDNT READ WHATEVER THE HELL THAT WAS IN HER FACEBOOK. and to think this might be the last kai banks scene we ever get... makes me wanna cry. they deserve so much more. there might be more bonus scenes in that universe but it sure as hell wont be abt kaibanks knowing pd (i mean she did them dirty in their own book making the main focus damon and rika)

ohhh i almost forget about the conclave scene where kai knows about rikas situation before michael. i mean wtf is this even. and when banks get upset rika had the audacity to feel betrayed. after everything kai said to banks in hideaway abt how she is the one he looks for every morning, this scene in conclave just ruined that closure. AND we didnt get to see kai and banks talk about it. of course we didnt because they are just side characters in this series right.

in my opinion, pd should rewrite the bonus and quit making Kai so 'rika-centric' and actually concentrate on how HIS OWN wife feels.

by the same person who wrote the kai banks rant will you ever write a fanfic on kai banks coz i have searched the internet and i couldn't find one story abt them. which is really sad since they are the only other couple who made sense apart from will and emmy. and abt my previous rant kai ONLY belongs with banks and we all know it. i mean they belong with each other no one can say otherwise. kai might have been attracted to rika but he will choose banks no matter what so that is why it is frustrating when he is made out to be like he cares abt rika as more than just a friend and more than he should. what is your thoughts on all this

Honestly, I think you hit the nail on the head why this doesn’t sit right with a lot of us.

One, the time period. I could possibly buy this if it were set within the original series. Maybe before NF or very soon after. But ten years later makes Banks seem very insecure and childish. She’s just been living for ten years thinking that her husband is secretly lusting over what is perceivable her best friend. Or at least her closest female friendship. That doesn’t feel like Banks to me. My understanding of Banks character is that she would have addressed any issue much sooner.

And two, this was supposed to be about Banks. But what we have is Banks making Rika feel better. First, confronting her over the young girl and reminding Rika that she has nothing to feel shamed over. Then, realizing how Rika feels, confirming those feelings. And in a way, Banks realizing that her feelings around Rika were not insecurities but were in fact attraction, is about Banks. But it’s still really about how amazing Rika is, and everyone agrees.

No one is immune to Rika Fane is the point of the scene. But it's the same message we've been getting since Corrupt.

It’s frustrating because it doesn’t give found/chosen family vibes. It’s all about Rika.

And now I feel like this about her:

Okay, okay. I’ll keep my fighting words to myself...

But anyway, Kai alone frustrates me (which is super disappointing because from other’s POVs, he’s delightful and interesting). Banks makes him better. I love the two of them together. The fact that he’s given any room for Banks to develop feelings of doubt about him and Rika is so odd. There’s no argument for it.

the conclave scene where kai knows about rikas situation before michael. i mean wtf is this even. and when banks get upset rika had the audacity to feel betrayed.

See, Rika confiding in Kai didn’t bother me, because it made sense to me that she’d confide in him. At this point, Kai is one of her closest friends and I (maybe erroneously) thought of Kai as the most reasonable and comforting of the group, which is something Rika needed. It’s the jealousy and the doubt about their relationship that comes after that ruined it for me. Either Rika and Kai can be friends and nothing else, or they can’t. And PD is really pushing this “they can’t” idea with every update and bonus they post. Which is so weird.

Do you think we could challenge PD to write a couple-centric scene where none of the other couples show up, if only for us to get quality couple content?

It's not that I don’t want to, but I haven’t been able to wrap my head around Kai and Banks as characters. This scene helped with Banks a little, but now Kai is harder to understand. I know there were some oneshots over on Wattpad if you have access. If I were to ever break from Willemmy, Kaibanks would probably be the next one I'm inclinded towards, though. Sorry I can’t promise anything.

kai ONLY belongs with banks and we all know it. i mean they belong with each other no one can say otherwise. kai might have been attracted to rika but he will choose banks no matter what so that is why it is frustrating when he is made out to be like he cares abt rika as more than just a friend and more than he should.

I completely agree. I think with the way the family is set up, there would be nothing wrong with Kai thinking Rika or any of the other girls are attractive, but it should be clear that he doesn’t have the same bond/connection/relationship to them as he does with Banks. I still think back to Michael openly declaring that Rika was everything to him, and it’s strange that none of the other guys have similar moments where they remove any doubt that they want no one else.

Like, I don’t think Michael wants Banks. Or Winter. Or Em. He wants Rika and Rika’s happiness. He might think Banks is hot, but that’s probably as far as it goes.

That’s Banks. Kai’s wife, Damon’s sister. Pain in his neck.

If somebody gave Kai an ounce of that energy towards Rika, we’d have a completely different vibe.

I'm not sure what can be done to protect our sanity. I, for one, usually hate to ignore canon, but sometimes it's just... not worth acknowledging in favor of your own HC.

That might be the case here.

Hey bean, first of all this did not make me uncomfortable in the slightest, and you have no reason to apologize for your feelings.

Lots of people are feeling this way and have been made time and time again to feel ashamed for it. I think that's wrong. None of you deserve to be ridiculed and made to stuff your feelings down deep so that you don't get targeted.

I'm sorry you've all felt so alone during this. I promise you that you are not alone.

These are our friends, basically our family at times. Why do we have to shun them just to make ourselves look "better"? How disappointed do you think BTS would be in some of us to find out how some of their beloved fans were treated for having feelings?

I for one don't think they'd be all too proud.

Nonnie, it is totally normal for you to be avoiding fics about him right now. Like I said in earlier posts, the love is very much real and along with that comes the very real heartbreak, even if some people can't understand it.

Things that used to make you happy are now a direct trigger.

As for overcoming it, there are things that work for some people and things that don't work at all for others. Do what feels right to you, okay?

You can face it head on and bulldoze your way through it, that's how some people heal and feel better.

Or you can find other things that make you happy. It seems like a distraction that won't help in the long run but if this way works for you it isn't that. It's simply filling your life with so many things that bring you joy that you will eventually realize there's more to life than you thought, and it won't hurt as much anymore.

The first step is acknowledging it, which you have done, and I'm so proud of you for that.

Right now, it probably feels like it'll never stop hurting. That you'll never be able to come back from this.

I'm not gonna tell you that you can or cannot.

That's up to you, bean.

This is your story.

You make the rules.

You are the main character in your life, no one can take that from you.

So.

What does that character we love so much do?

Does the book end here, or do we get to see another chapter?

Will our MC give up, or will they break only to become so so much more beautiful?

A character with no struggles is hardly one we can connect with. We root for them because they are broken, and yet we love them and fully believe that they will pick themselves back up and keep going. It's okay to stay down there for a while, it's okay to sit there and cry. We'll all be crying there with you.

But I truly hope the story does not end there.

I for one would love to turn the page and keep reading.

i cant speak for everyone obviously but me and a good handful of other people rlly love redwood labs and especially gamma and would certainly love to see you expand on that! While im a tad out of the loop as to what draws engagement on the wiki, I don't think you need to necessarily bank on pre-established interest, you write all your original characters so charmingly i find them just as fun to read as the older ones :]

Thanks, it's good to hear that people like them. I feel kind of bad about posting stuff like that since it seems like I'm fishing for positive feedback, but it's just been weighing on me a bit, creatively speaking.

Some more general thoughts about the wiki and my characters under the cut.

As for what draws engagement on the wiki, shorter articles tend to do well. All those people who complains about how "all wiki articles are theses on pseudosciences that take two hours to read and three weeks to understand" tend to annoy me, as it seems like they don't actually engage with the main site very much before dismissing it. We have a "shortest pages this month" page accessible from the sidebar, for crying out loud. Beyond that, having a following with your stuff helps, either by contributing to something people care about, or by being a big-name writer. DA got a little bit of buzz for being a new Resurrection thing, but not too much, as opinions on the mainline canon are a little split. Hell, I'm writing for the thing and I've got mixed feeling about it.

True, you could just make your characters ones people get invested in, but I'm not really a big name on the site, nor do the ones I write seem to fall into the arcetypes that are typically popular. I see a lot of fans for the staff characters, like the ones in the OG43 canon or ones like Light (to say nothing of senior staff), but staff characters never really appealed to me very much. Hence why I'm writing a series that focuses on humanoids: the anomalies are the things that really pique my interest, and I didn't see many people writing the kinds of stories with humanoids that I wanted to see. There's a number of reasons for that, some of which I laid out in my post about the issues in writing "affectionate" characters, but in general, humanoids aren't usually written like long-term characters in the same way that staff members are (with notable exceptions like the Unhuman canon).

This isn't to say I don't like staff characters at all, as I have September and plan on writing some of them in the future, like KPC, but by default I tend to like anomalies more. Even outside of my interests with the SCP community, I also just really like stuff featuring androids. Couldn't really tell you why, it's just something I've always found interesting and wanted to write Gamma and her 'family' so I could write a bit about them. Since they're more like characters I'm writing for me, I'm concerned about whether or not they'll have broader appeal. Of course, I have considered how they fit into the narrative, and I wouldn't have included them if they just stuck out, hence their relation to the Olympia Project, and KPC and Adams by extension.

buckle ur FUCKING SEATBELTS FOR THE LONGEST RANT IN HISTORY

so I watched episode 77 and sobbed, it’s the episode where Amu gets caught with Ikuto by Tadase since he got stood up by Amu hiding Ikuto while he’s taking a shower.

the ACTUAL RAGE I HAVE AT SOME OF THESE CLOWNS IN THE CRUNCHYROLL COMMENTS… I have never felt this much rage for a ship since JACKUNZEL circa 2014 but more on that later

so first of all, I’m so confused on why Amu’s mom is so lax after finding the two of them in the bathroom. BROTHER IN CHRIST I WOULD BE FUCKING ANGRY IF I FOUND MY OWN 13 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER WITH SOME 18 YEAR BOY IN THE SHOWER ??!?!?!? like WHAT ?!??!?! I understand Amu’s mom was trying to be considerate and give the two of them the benefit of the doubt, but GIRLBOSS WHAT!?!?! HOW DO U KNOW HE HASNT DONE SHIT TO YOUR DAUGHTER !?!?! HES AN ADULT ?!?!? I would be CALLING THE POLICE IDC…. I’d be that psycho mom iDC that’s my GOD DAMN DAUGHTER. Anyways that part had me so FUCKED UP it doesn’t make sense at all.

Second of all, the FACT THAT TADASE IS LET IN AND AMU CLEARLY TELLS IKUTO TO NOT COME OUT OF HER ROOM AND HE DOES ?!?!?! REVEALING TO TADASE HE’S BEEN THERE THE WHOLE TIME ?!?!? some of the CLOWNS and Tadase antis in the comments being like,,, Tadase is so annoying, we have to laugh at him crying, Ikuto is so much better suited for Amu — LIKE DO ANY OF U HEAR YOURSELVES ?!?!?!? Tadase reacted the way most kids react at that age. He was furious— especially since he was already pissed off at ikuto for family reasons and finds him in his girlfriends’ room ?!?!? Of course he was mad, she kept this a secret from him and the only thing going through his mind at that moment was rage and betrayal. He couldn’t let Amu speak obviously because he was too in his head to make conversation, he just needed out of what he was seeing. It’s FUCKING VALID ?!?!?

Now ikuto opening the door and then DEGRADING TADASE FOR SOMETHING THAT TADASE WAS SO FUCKING INSECURE ABOUT SINCE HE DOESNT KNOW HIS OWN DAMN FEELINGS YET AND SHARED IT WITH THE ONE PERSON HE TRUSTED, ONLY TO GET CRITICIZED BY HIM was probably the reason I hate ikuto’s character in this part SO DAMN MUCH. U KNEW HE WAS THERE AND OPENED IT ANYWAY. I know Yoru says that he got them to hate them to not get involved but BROTHER ?!?!?? You could have just straight up left and that would be the end of it but NO. DIG YOU A GRAVE I GUESS???

I just cant see how Ikuto doing this to protect the family makes any sense since if he had just left it would have been completely fine since it’s normal for him and his personality being the ‘stray cat boy’. No one would have blinked an eye ?!?!? Anyways. SO DUMB

Also Amu screaming at Ikuto has never felt so good go AWF queen

The infuriating part about all this is everyone thinks Ikuto is in the right while Tadase is in the wrong for the way he acted when he found out.

I will never be able to wrap my head around it.

These snippets into Oliver’s anger and planning is so terrifying. But that’s also a compliment haha. These scenes are so well done I want to punch him. Like real bad. This was supposed to be their friend and coworker Ollie! Not Ollie the Hydra lover 😭

But on a serious note, Ghostie needs a break or she’s gonna snap. All that trauma and pain, without time to heal and process, would make any person crumble. I really hope not but she needs a break. Pronto!

Chpt 75: I love how you write these team dynamics. Like they’ve been through the worst things imaginable and they still got each other’s backs. Now that’s my found family!!!

The heartbreaking realization [again] of what damage had been done to Olympus and the surrounding area is wild. Having Ghost describe it through her eyes was agonizing. Everything being rubble and yet the memorial stone is standing tall... oof the image :( but at least Turner and the family are alive!!

Slowly but surely the team is finding this odd, but I’m glad Clint is thinking it through. This web that Ollie created is so insane and I can’t wait for the truth to come out!

Even though the next scene showed a badass machine that Ghost can be (and nearly terrified Bucky again *le sigh*) I have hope this will turn around haha. *sweating intensifies*

Plus, even though the whole Stark Tower/Avengers group was in panic during Ghost’s takedown of Wraith’s base in Kabul, I was thoroughly enjoying that scene <3 Badass Ghostie is fun!

Also Bucky still calls New Eden his ‘home’ so that’s a win, bro!

Ollie calling Ghost an “impulsive psychopath”... boy, please. We need him to look in the mirror hahaha.

So... um... chpts 77-78:

well holy hot damn. I ALMOST HAD A HEART ATTACK. Ain’t nobody touching Amma. No. I’d throw hands, I’m sorry haha. Girly, you had me going nuts like Ollie hurt Amma oh my goodddddddd! Boone was so sweet to get Amma the hell out of dodge. I love her with my whole heart, ugh! Ghost’s reaction to Amma being missing then reuniting with her had me teary ngl

Ghost’s internal monologue in Medellín about the team and who’s bullet holes did those belong to was so heart wrenching. Her panic attack?! Holy crap, my heart hurts so badly for her. All Ghost’s trauma and pain is really coming to a head with all of this stress and it’s making me so sad to see Ghost hurting like this.

“If she’d fought so hard to get away from them, Bucky could get her back”

—> hell fucking yes!

The chaos! Bucky loves Ghost, wants to find Ghost, but is going to make it worse if he does because of Oliver’s ties to the Avengers….. ugh a month went by and I feel like he’s slowly loosing faith in her *cries*

hmm i would say i am a big fan of pastel colors! they are just so pretty and soothing to look at, and i especially love the color pink and blue! my top anime i would say is attack on titan. i’ve fallen in love with it at the beginning of this year because the storytelling and plot twists just blows me away. it has such a strong story and a great cast of characters. it’s kept me hooked from the beginning and the way isayama writes different relationships in the story just makes my heart cry 😭 ALSO ALL OF THE SOUNDTRACKS ARE SO GOOD

my other top anime would be demon slayer!! the animation and the characters are just so so 🙏🙏🙏👌👌 i feel like the story is really fun even if it’s simple and easy to follow. my third one is probably tied with haikyuu or hxh! i cant choose between these two haha. i always cry whenever i watch hq since it’s genuinely so wholesome and i love all of the teams so much. meanwhile all of hxh’s arcs are really strong and compelling, i’ve probably rewatched them all so many times over and i haven’t gotten bored of it yet! do you have a top 3 of your own my santa? c:

This is interesting! I never really thought much about this.

I'm assuming you're referring to anime trait tropes I like and dislike. I'm sorry if I misunderstood this (that would be embarrassing)!

I love love love characters in anime who possess insane fighting abilities…but not with flashy powers. Characters like Maki Zenin, Mikasa/Levi Ackerman and Kohaku who are fast and agile and smart in their strategy and decision making. Though theres usually some supernatural influence, it isnt very evident like with characters such as Bakugou and Deku in MHA. Its just really impressive and admirable and fun to watch! These characters are usually also seemingly very intimidating at first but actually have big hearts and are very dedicated and show it more through their actions and determination than anything else.

i also really love seemingly very stoic characters who are just the funniest (and sometimes even sweetest) people ever. like genos, uenoyama (and mafuyu!!)- theyre unintentionally super hilarious and its so sweet to have those kinds of characters have fun and be silly n shit. warms my heart.

i like smart characters in general too! Senku, L; characters that just know how to use their knowledge and reasoning to their advantage in some sort of conflict. I think its just as cool to watch as it is watching characters who are really physically strong and you also learn a thing or two from them. It gets you thinking critically with the rest of the cast.

I also really like passionate characters. Characters who openly indulge in things they love. Kageyama, Reki and Senku (again, i love him) are prominent examples. Usually this is seen in sports animes like Haikyuu and Sk8 the Infinity but im sure there are plenty other examples! Again, for me its fun to learn a thing or two but its also entertaining to watch them grow in their crafts and share their excitement over their passion with others (cough heavily ties into the found family trope which is a whole separate thing i love).

On the downside, I dont really like the possessive/jealous/stalker trope that seems to really appeal to some people. i dont really indulge in animes with characters like that (for the reason that its super weird and creepy) so i cant think of very many examples. The only examples i can think of at the moment is Kagari Atsuhiro from My Sweet Tyrant (which i was uncomfortable watching for the most part) and Makoto Teruhashi from Saiki K (though i feel Makoto can also very well fit into the next category).

I cannot STAND the perverted characters in anime. Their “comedic relief” aspect mostly revolves around harassing women and being a creep and its just…not funny. And just makes me uncomfortable. I know theres usually one per anime but they have to be one of my least favorite parts of an entire series. Some examples are Toritsuka from Saiki K., Yamai from Komi Cant Communicate (ESP HER ATM) and Mineta from MHA.

The letter in your hand was the last punch you could take. At that point, you were no longer able to pretend to be fine. Things at home just got too hard for you to handle – all the pressure, all the expectations, everything was just too much. Your fingers formed a fist while holding the letter your parents wrote to you as you couldn’t decide if it was ok for you to scream your anger out.

It was night, during dinner time, and you felt like going insane staying in the Great Hall with all the students and professors. You needed air, but you found yourself in the cold waters of the Black Lake. Your robes got slightly wet and your feet started to feel numb – you couldn’t go back to the shore, you couldn’t step back on earth, because if you would, you’d feel the tension again.

All your mind was able to play was the words in the letter: “You will get married soon.” They left you no option, no opinion, no nothing. They were expecting you to marry another pureblood in order to keep the family name high in the hierarchy, but you didn’t even finish your education properly. Still holding the paper, your fingers went to your scalp, pulling as hard as you could on your hair – it was driving you insane. A broken scream left your lungs as you didn’t care if anyone or anything could hear you – you sounded like a hurt, maltreated animal, because you sounded anything but human. That’s how you felt, actually – anything but human.

Your feet began to move your body further in the ice cold water, your mind being the numb one now, not caring about how wet your clothes were getting. You were desperate to feel something else than pain. That was all you were good for? Marrying a man, having sons and being a housewife? That felt unacceptable, impossible for you to agree on. The water began to put pressure to your body, like it was embracing you, leaving your lungs with little air and making it hard for you to go on. But you were stubborn, you wanted to go on – you needed to go on.

“That’s your idea of getting out of this marriage?” called a loud voice from behind you. It was dark outside, hard to recognize the silhouette, but the voice was well known to you.

You ignored him, continuing to walk until the water was nearly to your mouth. “You should come back, Y/N,” he said, “I can’t save you if you’re drowning – I don’t know how to swim!”

You turned your face to him, tears starting to form in your eyes. “Just fucking let me be, Black!”

“That’s the problem, darling!” he shouted in return. “You don’t want to be anymore!”

Now, you got angry – you were hurt and angry and even if he didn’t know you that well, it was crystal clear you were not someone to play with when angry. “Why do you fucking care, Merlin’s bread! Scared you’ll no longer have your so promised wife slave?”

“Drop the bullshit, will you?”

You laughed. He was the worst you could ever ask for. “Let me drown myself in peace, will you?” the scream was just like the others – desperate. And Regulus could feel it.

You wanted to continue walking, but something didn’t let you. Your feet got stuck in something and all you wanted was to go and fucking die. But a pair of hands was wrapped around your shoulders, dragging you to the shore against your will. You screamed and you cried and you tried to kick him in all the possible places but it was nearly impossible – he continued walking until the water reached your knees; that’s when he let go of you, and as soon as you were crying your soul at the ground, hitting the water until your fists were hitting the rocks underneath it, panic started to grow inside of you.

“Why would you do this?” you cried. “Why can’t you let me die, Regulus? I can’t live like this anymore, I don’t want to!”

Your words were hurting him deeply. How could you wish death? You were young and beautiful and smart, you could get over a little stupid marriage with him. He got over the idea himself.

“Y/N, stop,” he asked, kneeling in front of you, grabbing your face. “You need to come to your senses.”

“It’s so easy for you to say,” you spat the words to him, pushing away his from you. The place where he touched you was burning flesh now. “All you got to do from now on is to be in control, and I am sorry I can’t accept the idea of you dictating my life, Regulus Black!”

“It’s nothing like that, Y/N,” he whispered. “I don’t want to control you, I swear, I just want to… help you.”

You felt speechless. “Help me? Why would I want you to help me? Help me with what?”

Your voice was pure venom in that moment and Regulus knew he had to accept it. “I understand it’s not easy for you, but–“

“You understand?” you said high pinched. “You know nothing about how it’s like to be a part of that shitty family, Black! I am nothing like you, Mister Perfect Son, Perfect Student, Perfect everything! My own parents sold me like some kind of meat!” at that point you didn’t even realize your fists were now punching his chest, wanting to make him feel at least half of your pain.

“You really think I have the perfect life?” he screamed back, cupping your hands with his. “You think my parents don’t force me to do anything?”

“You’re such a dickhead, Black!” you said. “You’re full of shit, thinking you can manipulate me to be ok with marrying your arse!”

“I accepted it because it’ll be easier for the both of us!” he tried to explain.

“Easier to what? Easier for you to make my life a living hell?” you laughed full of fury.

“Accepting to marry you was the easiest thing my parents made me do my whole life! You think it’s the worst, but I see it as a way out!” he was crying too, lifting the sleeve of his robes and revealing the dark, ugly mark on his skin. “This marriage could be our redemption, Y/N! They could finally let us be, for fuck’s sake!”

He was shaking your body, crying like a child, vulnerable and desperate. “I am done living my life as they wish too, Y/N,” he sobbed, “And I swear, you’ll have nothing to do for me – just say yes and you can do anything you want, I just want to save us from our parents, from him.”

You cupped his cheeks, gently whipping away his cold tears. He softened you, made you feel empathy and made you cry tears you couldn’t define.

“We’ll save each other, Regulus,” you promised.

His lower lip was trembling, his eyes were now filled with hope – Regulus Black was holding you in the cold water but your whole body was feeling hot. He was your savior and you were his. You rested your forehead on his and looked him in the eyes.

“Thank you for not letting me drown myself,” you said softly.

“How could I let my future wife kill herself?” he responded and both of you laughed lightly. The smile on your lips was a scared one.

“It’s settled then? We’ll marry each other and save ourselves?” you asked unsure.

“Do you want to?” he asked in return. “Marry me, I mean,” the blush on his pale skin was visible enough to make you blush too.

“Are we really doing this whole thing?” you said embarrassed.

“Will you marry me, Y/N?”

Regulus Arcturus Black was asking you to marry him. Despite the circumstances and your previous actions and thoughts, that was kind of… cute.

“I… I think I will,” you whispered shyly, a smile growing on your lips as you saw the one forming on Regulus’. “You may now kiss the bride,” you laughed at your own joke, thinking how those words will be said to you after finishing your Hogwarts year.

“Be sure that I will,” he simply said before gently putting his lips on yours. Even if a little shocked, you kissed him back with the same delicacy. His lips were cold, just like yours, and tasted like the muddy water of the lake but you couldn’t care less. You were kissing Regulus, your savior, and that was all you could think of – you were kissing Regulus and you were quite enjoying it. That’s why you didn’t pulled away when his lips started to move harder on yours, transforming the kiss in a desperate one.

SEASON 6 EPISODE 2 PERSONAL REVIEW

SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT! DO NOT READ IF YOU HAVENT WATCHED THE EPISODE. THANK YOU.

oh my gosh, where do i even begin? what an episode i want to SCREAM (also now that i'm re-reading this, i noticed how out of order my thoughts are, please bare with me im freaking out)

firstly, can i just say how we're only two episodes into this season and its been by far my favourite!

i want to just say that this was 100% lizzies episode imo, like she ATE and left no crumbs.

That scene where she and tommy have to meet mosely and his mistress (fucking diana and her "eLizAbETH" stfu) and theyre both standing there dressed to the nines while smoking

"You are beautiful Lizzie, but i need to impress this woman so i will act as though she is beautiful as well"

okay, i used to hate tommy and lizzie as a couple because they felt forced, but they're kind of selling me

like if they dont end up together for real i might just cry

THE POWER THEY HOLD I LOVE THEMMMM

plus tommy's reaction to seeing his babies i-

like mans wouldve jumped out of the moving car to get to them faster if he could HAHA

Polly's voiceovers keep making me want to cry, i miss helen so much and seeing her on screen. she would've owned this season.

finally got some isaiah screentime thoughhh

tommy and laura mckee finally met though so that was something (she's lowkey already annoying)

while i disliked laura, it did give us my girl ada!! like that whole scene *chefs kiss* i love her

ada and tommy standing outside the garrison talking about where they started as kids to where they are now (cue more tommy shelby MP OBE metaphors)

i agree with ada in the sense that she's had to try to pick up the pieces of the family that polly would've been able to put together, but she can't because it's never been her job :"(

"you're looking for trouble big enough to kill you, i think you might've found it." ADA BABY STOP BEING CORRECT ALL THE TIME

anywhore, moving on to my favourite part of the episode!

ALFIE ALFIE ALFIE

he deserves his own section of this rant so enjoy me talking out of my ass about the man i love most (i apologise to my bf if he ever reads this)

firstly, can we all agree that alfie has the best introductions to any scene that he's in?

like i still remember the first time he appeared in s2 and at first i was like "who the fuck is this guy and why is tom hardy playing him?" and now every time i so much as get a hunch that alfie is going to be on the screen my poor boyfriend has to hear me chant "alfie, alfie, yes bring in alfred solomons!" over and over again

at this rate he's probably getting a little sus about how much i love a fictional character

when i heard the opera music, i was thrown off. alfie doesn't exactly have the personality that screams "i listen to opera!"

but then in he strolls talking about "i thought opera was just fat people fucking shouting" and then going on a rant about how it reminds him of italian soldiers crying when he stabbed them

he hasn't lost his touch

tommy doesn't drink, alfie doesnt let people smoke around him

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TO MY GANGSTERS

nah, but of course tommy uses that to his advantage doesn't he? mr shelby and his wicked ways.

tommy lost his aunt and alfie lost his uncle (my babies)

that shot where alfie is sitting under his little lamp and tommy is in the dark opposite him. I JUST WANT TO ANALYSE IT CINEMATICALLY

plus his beard has gone grey :") alfie baby i love you becoming a silver fox

i cant wait to see more of him soon

moving on because i could talk about alfie forever and still have more about the episode to mention

someone please take it easy on arthur. like for real, if anything happens to him i will riot. steven pls give him a happy ending, let him get the help he needs.

lmao also michael one hundred percent thinks gina is going to fuck tommy and i'm here for it. michael needs to sit his ass down with him thinking he can be the one who's going to kill tommy, like ??? boy the only reason you're here, as successful as you are, is because tommy found you and brought you home from your foster family. if anything YOU owe HIM.

tommy's hallucinations OH. MY. GOSH.

that scene felt so real to me too, i audibly gasped when i realised it was all in his head.

not to mention the scene where he's fallen out of the bath after having one and has hurt himself :"( i actually started crying not even going to lie.

HONOURABLE MENTION FOR JOHNNY DOGS AGAIN, that man always manages to make me laugh in high pressure scenes (we love a good comedic relief)

plus he's another character i will riot for if anything happens to him

we finally met so many new characters this episode! especially the infamous "uncle jack" aka jack nelson

(kinda want to punch him in the face for what he wrote in that letter about jewish people, but i'll leave that to tommy when he inevitably kills him)

i just know scenes between jack and tommy are going to be intense

also i want to know who that old man staring at tommy while he gave his speech at the house of commons is??? like he is sus

making us think ruby is going to be okay just to rip our hearts out at the end like that?

I JUST WANNA SAY I LOVE THE PART THREE.

I was always searching for the angst. I wanted to get revenge. It wasn’t fair that Y/N had to go through massive shits before finding Satoru. Not when Toji is making memories with his wife as if he didn’t ruin a life.

I wanted Toji to hurt. I want him to realize that he made a the wrong decision.

But when I read the part 3 I was stunned.

They were all victims of fate.

None of them wanted to hurt anyone. Mamaguro never wanted to ruin Toji’s current relationship. I wasn’t being fair when I didn’t want her and Toji to end up together. She just wanted her family.

Toji was a lost and misguided boy who grew up and found comfort in Mamaguro. He didn’t want to hurt Y/N but he didn’t know what to do. When Mamaguro left he was constantly searching for the same comfort (probably a maternal comfort) and he found a piece of that in Y/N but the problem is she was Y/N and he haven’t moved on.

Y/N was an angel who loved the wrong guy a little too much. But didn’t we all. Toji was her awakening that not every relationship is rainbows and butterflies. Relationship hurts. Love hurts. Love demanded pain and pain demanded to be felt. It’s not love if you didn’t get hurt. But with Satoru. Satoru was her great love. She loved Satoru with the lessons that she learned with her relationship with Toji.

Satoru is a knight. If Y/N is Toji’s anchor, Satoru is Y/N’s Y/N (i hope u got that) he was Y/N’s star who lit up her dark world little by little, piece by piece.

I think the whole HWB is beautiful. People think love is like being in cloud nine but HWB brought the real world. The real harsh world. The ending ended my search for angst. It woke me up and made me realize that this is what actually happens. Sometimes the best and only thing you can do is wish them well and move on.

mamaguro and toji’s relationship was steadfast and strong. it wasn’t meant to stay with them broken apart. it is painful for the reader to have toji leave her, yes, but it never was what toji needed. and it was unfair to reader for her to stay as a rebound.

while toji was with the reader, he was healed from mamaguro’s absence, yes, but he was not whole. and he would never be. so when she came back, he was pieced back up in her hands. and it had to happen by leaving the reader.

as for the reader, toji was when she realized that hard work and pure love alone doesn’t always mean happiness. that sometimes, her love is not enough or that it is not what’s meant to be. and it’s a painful realization, but pain has always been a great teacher for many.

satoru’s character in hwb is someone i really love. i don’t think he is a knight, per se, but he is a boulder. a wall. an anchor, just like you said! unlike a knight, satoru really wasn’t the one who saved the reader from her pain, he was just there to help her through it. and there’s nothing less about that!

the person who saved the reader from her pain was herself! she didn’t rely on satoru because she was not going to do the same mistake that toji had done with her, and that was to find healing from someone else.

which is why satoru was patient despite his friends’ remarks! he knew the reader’s intentions and deeply loved and cherished her for that. as satoru doesn’t know how to truly love, to see his first love protect him that way made him love her more.

thus, satoru is yn’s yn indeed! he was her anchor because he steadied her and helped her, silent and just being there as she found herself through her own will.
