Low Energy Witchcraft
I'm neurodivergent and i experience really intense burnout. I get to a point where I struggle to even get out of bed, take my meds, remember to drink water, let alone practice. But, when I want to practice i have a list of things i can usually do. Everyone's experiences with burn out/low energy are different so this list may not apply to you, and that's okay. Take what resonates, leave what doesn't and i hope you enjoy my silly little list :)
create a playlist and infuse it with an intention. eg, a money spell playlist filled with songs about wealth.
draw sigils with soap when in the shower. (you can also use a wet wipe if you can't shower)
found some juice? give it a little shake and use the ingredients as a spell.
have food that has grains as ingredients? wow! an abundance spell!
the classic add intention to your tea and coffee.
bind your hair. for me with is as simple as putting my hair in a ponytail.
watch a witchy video. while not technically practising witchcraft, sometimes all you need is to sit back and relax to connect with your practice.
when I have a decent amount of energy I'll grab a large pillar candle and carve sigils into it. I use it as a long-term spell; all I have to do to activate it is light the candle. I like to light one of these spell candles when I'm having a bad day.
if you're religious, pray. Even if you're lying in bed. Even if you haven't showered in a week. If it makes you happy and you can, do it
burn some insence! it smells good, you don't have to really worry about forgetting about it, it's good for cleansing. it's great!
take a nap with some crystals. any restorative crystals or calming crystals work great! just make sure that they aren't geodes or roughs. i'd hate for you to hurt yourself while sleeping.
if you don't have any crystals for your nap, set an intention instead. please let yourself rest.
It's important to remember that you're allowed to take breaks from your craft. If you're forcing yourself to practice when you have no energy because "that's what a good witch would do!" then you're probably going to make your situation worse. it's a great way to fall out of love with witchcraft. give yourself some grace. rest is infinitely more important than 1 full moon, 1 new moon, or missing your daily/weekly/monthly cleanse. You aren't a bad person if you don't pull your morning tarot card or check the astrology forecast for today. and you aren't a bad person if you miss your daily prayer. take care of yourself. your health is WAY more important than your craft. Go get a drink of water and take care of yourself <3

(Not) Hard to Love
Part 2 (2/2)
Trafalgar Law x Reader
Tumblr media
Warning:⚠️ smutty situation, angsty thoughts
Authors Note: sorry that it took so long to post this. I was having a few bad days, just struggling with my confidence. Now I m doing a bit better. So here you go. Hope you have fun 🥰
this is by far the most suggestive thing I have ever written. lol. I hope it doesn’t suck too bad. If you like it, leave a comment. It does wonders to my mental health ❤️ (btw this raspberry jam is just in the story because I have been planning on making it for the past months and this is my reminder to get up from my lazy ass and make it! )
You were relieved, after days of almost doing nothing, because the sun was too hot and your thoughts too distracting, you were finally able to work again. It was one of those days were everyone was doing their best to restore and repair their beloved home.
The Thousand Sunny was a big ship. And after days of not doing much, it often needed some time to get everything organized and clean again.
Knowing your captain wasn’t the biggest fan of an organized living space, most of the work was split between the rest of the crew. While Nami was always on board keeping an eye on the ocean, Sanji was the one who was keeping the kitchen organized, while preparing the dishes for the day.
Franky and Usopp were repairing something in the library, while Brook and Robin were sorting the newest books, they got on the last island.
Luffy and Zoro were supposed to take care of everything on deck, which already wasn’t much. But after cleaning the girls bedroom, you walked towards the kitchen and saw both of them sleeping in the sunlight. Random, uncomfortable looking items being their pillows.
You just rolled your eyes and smirked. These two weren’t really cleaning themselves regularly, so why would they clean something else. It didn’t really make sense why you guys kept asking them to organize, even though you kinda knew they weren’t gonna be much of a help.
Opening the kitchen doors a warm sweet smell came towards you.
Sanji was standing at the stove, filling sugar into a red liquid.
"Uhhh, this smells amazing. May I have a taste?" you point to the boiling jam in front of you with an outstretched finger.
"Of course, my dear."
The cook gave you a spoonful of the sweet liquid and without blowing for long you tasted it.
"It tastes wonderful, Sanji! I'm already dreaming of how it will taste on the fresh crossaints you make from time to time."
The blond man grinned. He had to concentrate now. Not get distracted. Even if he particularly liked compliments from you.
"I'm glad you like it. I bought lots of raspberries so I could cook them for you.
I just realized that a little vanilla is still missing. Could you do me a favor? I have fresh vanilla in our storage room, I just forgot to bring them up from downstairs earlier. Could you get them quickly from below deck? I don't want the jam to burn.“
"Sure thing." With a smile, you walk back towards the door. You suck in the wonderful smell once more before quickly scurrying outside.
You had given Sanji the recipe for this particular jam a few months ago. Your mother used to make it when you were a child.
With quick steps, you skip down the stairs towards the storage room.
Your mind was full of warm memories of sunny mornings. Jam on baked goods. A table filled with fresh food. The last good days of your childhood.
Being on the thousand sunny was kind of like that time. With a smile on your face you walked towards the entry.
The groaning door gave you the creeps. Chopper had accidentally locked himself in down there once before. So, to be on the safe side, you put a box between you and the door. That way, it won't fall shut the next time the wind blows.
The light was already turned on in the storage room. You expected the little reindeer, who often spend time organizing and storing medicines down here to refill them in his little doctor's room when they were empty upstairs.
But it wasn't this doctor who was waiting for you in the far corner of the room.
Law was sitting on the floor looking through several boxes of pills.
Presumably he was going to take care of refilling the medicine room. Chopper probably send him, because he was still scared of last time.
You whisper a quiet "hey" in his direction so as not to startle him.
Law just looked up briefly and mumbled something in your direction.
What was his problem? You were starting to get angry again. Everyone was trying to build a home, be nice and him?! He was just not accepting you whatsoever.
How could someone be so arrogant and ignorant ?
A loud bang snapped you out of your thoughts.
The heavy door had slammed shut.
How could that be? You had just put something in between.
Annoyed, you turn to Law.
"Shit, now we're locked in here. I can't believe Franky still hasn't fixed the door!"
You push against the door with all your strength. It doesn't move. With a loud groan you press on the door again. But it doesn’t help. A large hand rests on your shoulder.
"Hey. let me try it, Y/N-ya. I'm sure I can get the door open."
You step aside and let the dark-haired man go at it. He also pushes against the door with all his might, but it doesn't move a bit.
Frustrated you started screaming for your friends to help you out of this awkward situation.
"Hey Namiiiii! Luffy! Frankyyyy!!! Help!"
"fuck! don't shout in my ear" Law
dramatically put his hands to his ears and stared at you angrily.
"do you want to get out of here or not?! Apparently mister-I can do anything- wasn't strong enough to open a simple door after all."
"Excuse me?"
The captain turned to you. He looked down at you, annoyed.
You took a step towards him. Pointing your finger on his chest.
"I finally want to know what your problem is?"
"I don't have a problem"
"Oh? Really? You're a fucking liar, Law."
"It's none of your business, what's wrong with me. Don't talk to me like that.
Your crazy captain has decided to form an alliance, and if that's a problem for you then talk to him and not to me."
Annoyed, Law turned to the side. He only took one step before you pulled him back by his shirt sleeve.
"Hey! Stay here. I don't have a problem with you or the Alliance at all."
Your back was against the cold iron door.
Law actually turned back around and took two steps towards you.
Only now do you realize how close he was to you.
"Why are you making it so difficult for me?"
His gaze was still avoiding yours. How much you would have liked to look him in the eye now. But then you probably wouldn't have been able to hold back. Your emotions were already getting the better of you.
You spoke to him much more calmly than before.
„What's so hard, Law? I can understand that you don't like me as much as the others. But why do you hate me? Is it that hard to just like me? Or even less. Just to accept me?"
Tears welled up in your eyes. Your own words stung your heart. All you wanted was to be looked at him. Be seen.
Law still stood rooted to the spot in front of you. One hand in front of his eyes, he shook his head.
„What makes you think I hate you?"
Your voice wasn't ready to answer that question. You just shrugged your shoulders, sobbing. You would like to sink into the ground. Now you're crying in front of the man who has no interest in you. You were a failure. A pathetic girl crying in front of her crush. Nothing more.
"hey. Shh. Don’t cry. Look at me when I'm talking to you."
Sternly but without anger in his voice, Law put his index finger under your chin. So that you can't help but look into his gray eyes.
" I don't hate you, Y/N-ya.“
A sigh escaping his lips. His eyes looked different then before. You almost thought he was leaning in. And the air around you got thicker and filled with more tension.
„I really don’t. Quite the opposite in fact. Ever since I saw you for the first time, I've been attracted to you. I just can’t act on it.
I have responsibilities and… I'm not a particularly good person. I've done bad things. I've taken lives when I should be saving lives as a doctor. I don’t want more people to get hurt because of me. And to be honest, I've never had feelings like this before. I have no idea how to deal with it.“
He looked down. Almost debating if he should say the next part.
„I think of you. All the time. I lay awake at night and all I see is your face. I long for your touch. And I want to learn to love, Y/N-ya. But I'm afraid of it. Fuck."
He took a deep breath. And exhaled.
"I want you. I need you.... And I don't know how..."
"Shhh."
Now it was you who put your index finger on Law's lips and slowly stroked his cheek with your hand.
"Just kiss me"
Horrified by your demanding words, Law looked down at you. He forgot how to breathe for a moment. His heart was beating so fast in his chest that he could hardly hear anything else. Your lips opened to say something. He didn't want you to change your mind. He took your face in both hands. Before he pressed his lips to yours.
"Just so you know. it isn't hard to fall for you, Y/N. But I m afraid, I have no clue what I m doing. My life is..."
"Law... just kiss me"
You moved forward again, pressing your lips to his. Law felt like the walls he had build up so maticulously, melting away by your kisses. He couldn’t hold himself back anymore, letting his desire take over.
Soft moans escaping your mouth while he pressed you against his body and the door behind you. You were caged in by his arms fully accepting whatever was gonna happen now. Your hands exploring the doctors body, while kissing each other hungrily. Law let out a low groan. This was better than in his daydreams. Your soft hands roaming his chest. Tracing his tattoos with lingering touches. One of Laws hands firmly placed against your hip. Shoving you against the metal door. Law was overwhelmed by his emotions. Not a single thought in his mind while he started grinding against you.
Using your moaning as chance to slide his tongue into your mouth.
His lustfull eyes being the most beautiful sight to you, while you buttoned down your summer dress.
Law was breathing heavily. His hair fully out of place by you tugging at his dark strands.
He can’t remember the last time he didn’t take the time to unbutton his shirt, but right now he was rushing to get it over his head. Throwing it down on the ground next to your dress.
Moving towards each other like magnets, lowly groaning between kisses, Law lifted up your thighs around his hips. Moving you against the door again.
His jeans rubbing against your panties. Making you cry out his name.
And for the second time that day you were interrupted by the same door you were making out against. The (stupid ) door opened with a loud hiss. Falling out of its angle. You and Law tumbeling and falling to the wooden floor.
This was a very annoying disturbance to your newly found passion. But it definitely wouldn’t have stopped you from showering Law with kisses, if it wasn’t for the circle of people and a very shocked reindeer standing around your almost naked bodies.
You and Law got up from the floor with red heads and stupid explanations. Feeling humiliated but kinda happy.
Law held his shirt protectively in front of you and hoped fervently that no one was looking at his jeans.
You looked at a bunch of different expressions.
Nami grinning. Robin, playing shocked, with one hand over her mouth. But she couldn't fool you. Her giggle was the first to be heard from the crowd.
„We really only planned for you guys to finally talk about it… that all… -
Nami made some hand gestures towards your half undressed bodies and the broken door on the ground.
„ - was not our intention.“
Usopp covered his own and then immediately afterwards Chopper's eyes. While Franky and Zoro toasted with sake in their hands. Apparently everyone was part of the stupid bet.
Luffy just looked back and forth between you and Law, confused. Obviously he hadn't quite understood yet, what was so exciting about this situation. He had seen you guys in swimwear before, not really something different in his eyes.
Sanji had blood all over his shirt and on his nose but tried to control himself. And thankfully pulled the others towards the exit.
"Don’t you guys look at Y/N-san like that. That’s not how you look at a lady.
Lunch is almost ready… let’s go Luffy.
Let the two of them go. We'll get the food ready."
Nami pulled Usopp towards her by the collar.
„So Usopp... I hope you remember our agreement... right?"
Laughing, the Strawhats left on after the other. Leaving behind two embarrassed pirates.
Franky mumbled something about "now I really have to fix the door"
While Chopper desperately tried to figure out what had just happened.
Robin gave you a wink while walking up the stairs.
Embarrassed, you looked at Law.
He took your hand and kissed it gently. Although it was hard for him, he tried to stand in front of you as confidently as possible.
" umm that was something… you know…
We still have some time before lunch. Would you like to… continue?! … What do you say Y/N-ya?"
You look at your intertwined hands and then back to Laws face. His face blushing, his eyes looking on the ground even though he would much rather look at your beautiful body before him. You stand on your tiptoes to give a quick peck to Law's lips.
"You may be right there is still some time. But I'll only follow you if you promise to use your devil powers this time. I wouldn't survive being caught like that again." Giggling, you put your arms around Law's neck.
"Okay then, let's pick up where we left off."
He gave you a gentle kiss on your forehead before lifting his hand. A smile on his face as he heard your heart beating loudly.

Can I request a Hurt/Comfort & Angst fic featuring Nikolai x f!Reader? Maybe f!Reader is some sort of duke's daughter and promised to the second prince of Ravka who is serving in the first Army infantry at the time. However, when news of his devastating injuries arrive to the palace, she rushes off to see him in the medic tent at the Fjerdan front as the doctors are unsure whether he will live or not - only to be joined by a person she'd least suspected by her side: Vasily Lantsov. His royal idiotness himself. How will they react to seeing Nikolai dying? Maybe f! Reader has some previously hidden abilities that will be able to save the little Lantsov...

Pairing: Nikolai Lantsov x f!Reader
A/N: This request was so good oml! I loved writing it, even though I was very sleep-deprived whilst reading it for the first time, because I thought you wanted me to write a love triangle kind of thing with Nikolai and Vasily dslgsakg (don't ask). But I really like how this turned out, so thank you for the request! <333 Also, I love the term royal idiotness, so thank you for that.
You can find part two here!
Summary: After Nikolai gets badly injured, the reader throws all caution to the wind to go and see him. Is there still a chance for him to survive?
Genre: Angst, Hurt/Comfort, slight Fluff
Word Count: 4.0K
Warnings: mention of death, injuries, blood, infections and Vasily Lantsov (this is a teeny tiny bit gorey, but not too much)
Tumblr media
You felt sick. Violently sick. At this point, you would have preferred hunching over the toilet to empty the contents of your stomach than obsessively rereading the slightly crumpled-up letter you held on so firmly. It didn't matter how many times your eyes skimmed over the neatly written lines, the words didn't magically distort and somehow create a different sentence. They stayed the exact same.
Lady Y/N Y/L/N,
I deeply regret to inform you that your fiancé Nikolai Lantsov, Major of the Twenty-Second Regiment, has been majorly wounded in action in the performance of duty and service of his country. The nature of his wounds has not been fully assessed as of now, but I would advise you to calm your worries. Our mediks are highly trained and will do everything in their power to restore his health. You will be promptly furnished with any additional information received.
Your obedient Servant,
Sergeant Pechkin
Sergeant in Charge of Records
No matter how many soothing words littered the text, you were well aware that his actual state was far from decent. After years and years of political training from your father, you knew that the First Army only bothered to send out notifications once the soldier was on the brink of death.
Nikolai was dying.
Your soon-to-be husband was dying, and they didn't even have the guts to tell you the truth. The man you had been friends with since childhood - the man you had been promised to for even longer - was dying and there was nothing you could do about it.
Well, nothing official, at least.
"Ma? Da? I'm going out for a ride!" You called into the drawing room of the visitor quarters of the Grand Palace. You didn't push your luck by going in to say goodbye to your parents properly. They would never approve of your plan, so any sort of confrontation would be ill-advised.
"Of course, my dear!" Your father's baritone voice called from behind the door. The sound of his voice was rather joyous, indicating that he already had one too many glasses of wine today. Maybe this would help with concealing your absence.
"Be back before supper! We're not waiting for you this time." Your mother added in her usual scolding tone. Maybe staying away unnoticed wasn’t that easy after all.
"I promise!" As soon as you finished that sentence, you began hurrying off in the direction of the stables. The bag on your shoulder wasn't filled with your usual riding equipment, but with a few rations of food and other things you would need for a three-day ride to the Fjerdan border.
On your way down the stairs the devil himself - Vasily Lantsov - passed you. He paused, letting his eyes dart over your dishevelled appearance. By now, they should have also received the notice about Nikolai’s injuries. However, the King and Queen were notorious for keeping their letters stashed away until they had time to open them in the evening. You imagined how they would react. Would they be devastated? Would they want to seek revenge? Or would they continue to act stone-faced, even though their son could already be dead?
“Well, you look…lovely.” He chuckled, giving you a quizzical look. Even though it was still early in the afternoon, he looked like he was already terribly drunk. And judging by the sour smell coming from his mouth, that shouldn’t be too far from the truth. “Where are you headed?” Saints, you really couldn’t stand him.
“I’m off to go on a ride. The weather seems pleasant today, so I just have to seize the chance.” The honeyed pitch of your voice would have been blatantly obvious to any sober person, but thankfully, Vasily didn’t belong to that group of people.
“Sadly, my dearest brother isn’t here. I’m sure he wouldn’t have allowed his future wife to go on a ride all by herself.”
“What a shame he isn’t here then. But if you’ll excuse me, I intend on leaving while it’s still light outside.” You didn’t wait for him to say anything in return before speeding down the few remaining flights of stairs.
The military encampment wasn’t too far from the Fjerdan border, so with a bit of pep in your horse’s step, you completed the journey in three days. You only took breaks to eat and rest, but the adrenaline of needing to see Nikolai before he died kept you awake.
“Lady Y/L/N! What are you doing here?” Pechkin appeared from one of the tents as you handed your horse to one of the soldiers, who was assigned to take care of it. The sergeant looked as if he hadn’t had a proper night’s sleep in forever, and you couldn’t help but flinch at the thought of what might’ve caused his distress.
“I’m here to see my fiancé.” You answered sternly, putting all the years of training your facial expression to use. The man shifted on his feet, not wanting to deny you, whilst also not wanting you to see whatever husk was left of Nikolai.
“His Royal Highness is currently not in a state to allow visitors I’m afraid. It really would be best to.-”
“I’m here to see my fiancé. I won’t leave until I know what happened to him, and how his chances of survival are. This is not up for discussion, Sergeant.”
He let out a sigh, running a hand through his already greying hair. He knew that you were stubborn - you were supposed to wed Nikolai Lantsov, of course, you were stubborn - but he had hoped that you would at least be a bit less persistent.
“Fine. But you might not enjoy seeing him like this.” He motioned for you to follow him in the direction of a small grey tent. The medik tent. Your heart sank when you reached the entrance. What would you see? Would you be able to stomach it?
Pechkin halted briefly, sparing you another thoughtful glance before lifting the flap and allowing you to enter the cluttered room. It seemed to have been his personal tent before it was repurposed as his infirmary. You peered around. A tiny desk stood in the corner of the room, a stack of opened letters - probably yours - was sprawled out on top of it, right next to a collection of various maps and plans.
Your heart dropped when your gaze met the reason for your distress. An unnaturally pale-looking Nikolai Lantsov laid in a makeshift sickbed. His face was completely devoid of any emotion or life, as a medik stood next to him, presumably checking his vitals and medicine intake.
"Saints…" You whispered under your breath. You had seen him injured countless times before, but never had he looked this empty.
The man behind you rested his hand on your shoulder in a futile attempt to comfort you, but you didn’t even acknowledge his presence. The medik turned to face you with a glum expression on his face. In that moment, you assumed the worst.
“How did he get injured?” It took you a few seconds to register that the words were your own. It felt surreal.
“His group got ambushed, and he tried to defend the others. They got overpowered and he was stabbed. We were lucky to find them while it was still daytime. Had the night already started to set in, we would probably not have been able to retrieve them.” Pechkin explained. You didn’t have to face him to know that a tight scowl was adorning his face. He and Nikolai had gotten along great - it was a fact that always seemed to matter greatly, when he brought it up in his letters - so you could assume that he was quite affected by the whole situation.
You walked over to the bed, sitting down on the free space right next to him. If he hadn’t looked so pale, one could have mistaken his critical condition with a very relaxing good night’s sleep. His breathing was unnaturally shallow, but it still could’ve just meant that he was asleep. However, you knew better.
“His heartbeat is drastically too slow.” The medik spoke up, taking the elongated silence as his turn to address you. “There were minor scratches we managed to heal fine, but the stab wound seems to have a much larger effect on his body than we had expected, even though it appeared to be quite minor on first glance. By being exposed to dirt and other outside influences, it looked quite infected once he came into our care. We tried to treat it as best as we could, however, the infection still remains. It pains me deeply to say this, but it is unsure whether he’ll manage to survive his injuries.”
“Has he been awake at some point or has he been unconscious the whole time?” You asked suspiciously. The mediks assigned to treat the sons of the Royal family were highly skilled, and you had your doubts that the effects of a supposedly minor stab wound would cause him to be in such a terrible state.
“Yes, there have been a few times he has been semi-conscious, but it appeared to be more of a feverish daze than actual consciousness. We have not found a feasible explanation for this sort of behaviour, though.”
“What does the wound look like?”
“I don’t think that this information is suited for-”
“Sergeant Pechkin, I have seen people’s tongues get cut out after betraying their country. I have seen people get beheaded for way less than that. I have seen the marks of war, and I wish to live long enough to survive its wake, so I should begin to get used to it.”
“If that is what you wish for.” The medik said slowly, coming up to stand right next to you. He removed the heavy blanket, revealing a previously white bandage that had been soaked with blood by now. You could see the man frown, as he worked on removing the fabric that covered his injuries.
Nothing could have prepared you for what hid underneath.
The gash truly didn’t seem to be that deep, what really startled you were the purple and black veiny bruise patterns that originated from the wound, spreading over the expanse of his chest. The smell emitting from the wound smelled foul, sickly-sweet, whilst also carrying the stench of mould with it. This wasn’t a normal stab wound.
“How long have the bruises been there?”
“Uhm, they started showing one day after he was retrieved. They started off as blue and purple bruises, but have changed over the last few days to look like…this. We have never seen an injury similar to this.”
This told you everything you needed to know. The sadness you had felt prior to this was replaced by anger.
“That’s because it isn’t-”
The flap to the tent was thrown open again, revealing a person you would have never expected. Vasily took wide strides as he walked inside. He looked surprisingly calm, but as much as you wanted to discredit his feelings, you knew that he would still be devastated if he had to watch his younger brother die.
“Your Royal Highness!” Pechkin called out, visibly startled by another royal showing up without notice. You imagined that another unannounced appearance would cause him to go into cardiac arrest. The sergeant wanted to speak again, but Vasily silenced him with a simple wave of his hand.
“I’m here to see my brother, that is my right.” You moved to stand up in order to allow him access to Nikolai, however, this offer was quickly dismissed by a disapproving glance. “Stay there, it’s fine. You,” He turned to the two other men inside the room with a grimace on his face. “I’d suggest you leave for the time being. I’m sure Lady Y/L/N would like some time with her betrothed without the presence of military officials.” After giving each other a reserved look, they both left the three of you alone.
“I see that you have diverted quite a bit from your original plan.” Vasily stared you down. It was the same stare he used to give Nikolai and you after finding out about your newest shenanigans back when you were young kids. “Do you have any idea how worried the duke and the duchess were, when you didn’t return in the evening? Having their only daughter suddenly disappear without any trace or note about her whereabouts? You should be glad that my parents didn’t send out the Royal Guard to look for you.”
“I know, but I had no other choice, Vasily! My parents would have never allowed me to go, and I couldn’t have lived with the fact that he might die without me seeing him one last time.” You felt the heat rise up in your cheeks. His chiding was the last thing you needed right now.
“You have no idea how long it took me to convince them to allow me to look for you.” He sighed, throwing the bag he carried on the ground next to him. His tone had also grown a bit softer, even though he still sounded as boastful as ever.
“Why?”
“I saw the letter, and I opened it. All hell would have broke loose if my mother had found out about her little precious boy being on the brink of death.” His gaze wandered to his brother, but it flinched away as soon as he saw the extent of his injuries. “I knew immediately where you went. It was the perfect opportunity for me to get here unnoticed, even though I’m sure that spell won’t last too long. I assume that they’ll figure it out soon enough.”
“So you lied to your parents, because you didn’t want them to know what actually happened?”
“When you put it like that it sounds a lot less honourable than I had imagined it. But yes. That’s precisely what I did.”
“I- I’m not quite sure what to say. That’s probably one of the most honourable things you’ve done.” He waved your comment off, allowing himself a more concrete glance at Nikolai, his eyes never meeting the wound, however.
“Saints, that smells terrible.” The crown prince had to cover his mouth in order to resist the urge to vomit. And for once, you couldn’t even blame him. “What happened?”
“Stab wound.” You didn’t feel like voicing your suspicion, but Vasily wasn’t satisfied with that answer.
“A stab wound? That does not look like a simple stab wound, Y/N.” That’s because it wasn’t. You knew exactly what it was, and how you could still give him a chance to survive this. The only thing keeping you from it, was the measures you had to take to make it happen. “You know more than you’re letting on. What is it?” It was for the best to give in. Maybe he could help you.
“Have you ever heard of Vaizite?” He shook his head as a response. “Some also call it the Violet Rot. It’s a very strong, chemically created poison, that you’d usually only find in Shu Han. I have no idea how the Fjerdans managed to get their hands on it, but I’m sure there had to be some crooked scheme going on.”
“Is it fatal?”
“That’s difficult to say.” He gave you a frown, but you weren’t keen on seeking his approval. “It was not specifically created to kill. The Shu usually tend to put it in their prisoner’s drinks to torture them. If ingested it poisons you from the inside out, but it doesn’t kill you. It does, however, make sure that every waking moment is spent in excruciating pain. It slowly eats away at your muscles, until you’re unable to do anything but lay there and endure the pain. When they think you have suffered enough, they dispose of them through killing them as a supposed act of mercy.”
“But he hasn’t digested it, has he? What happens if the blade was laced with it?”
“It is to assume that it could be fatal. Not immediately, but eventually. By indirectly injecting the poison in his blood stream, it could have a way worse effect on his health than if he had consumed it. I have never seen the bruises develop that fast.” You fiddled with the straps of your coat, avoiding his penetrative gaze.
“How do you know all of this?”
“Do you still recall what I studied at Ketterdam University?”
“Something that had to do with plants?”
“Herbology. That’s what I studied. There was a very long and drawn out unit on recognizing and working with poisonous plants. One unit included a plant called Oshrovov, also called Assassin’s Polkweed. It’s deadly when touched, but once you dilute it with some other chemicals, it can be the perfect weapon for torture. We talked about that quite a few times, so I do know a few things about it.”
“So you know what to do to save him?” Hope was evident in his voice, and you knew that you had no other option than to reveal something you had hoped to keep hidden for just a bit longer.
“I can try, but you might not like what I’m doing. And you have to promise me that you won’t allow anyone to enter while I work.” Vasily raised a brow in confusion. What exactly were you planning to do.
“A promise coming from me isn’t worth a dime, but if that’s all it takes for you to help him, I can’t say no.” That was good enough for you.
“Good. Get that bowl over there.” You pointed at a brass bowl that stood on one of the sidetables close to the entrance. He obliged, carefully watching you as you began to lean over Nikolai’s torso.
“Where am I supposed to put it?”
“You’re supposed to keep it in your hands, until I tell you to do otherwise.” Vasily had to bite back an offended remark as he listened to you bossing him around, but you just didn’t care about his royal feelings at that point. “I’ll need you to act quickly and catch the poison once I extracted it.”
“Extract it? How are you planning on-”
“See for yourself.” With that, you let your fingertips hover over his body, whilst shutting your eyes tightly. You had imagined that you might be a bit rusty in using your Small Science, but after you felt a familiar hum hit your palms, it was as if you had never stopped training it in the first place.
Since you had never been officially trained at the Little Palace, you had only a few minor lessons with your mother to fall back upon. They had kept your abilities hidden away from anyone that wasn’t close family, so it was a pretty dangerous for you to be so callous with using them, especially around someone like Vasily Lantsov. All of these worries faded away when you realized who exactly was lying in front of you. You needed to save him.
Your hands twitched ever so slightly when you located the poison. Quickly, you focussed your Small Science on directing the substance towards the open wound. You felt how it tried to latch onto his arteries, but your determination was stronger.
“Vasily, keep the bowl ready.” Not wanting to be asked twice, he stretched it out towards you, keeping it as far away from him as possible.
Slowly but surely, a thick mass of purple crawled out of his wound, taking the dark black tendrils with it. When you finally removed all of it from Nikolai’s torso, you didn’t hesitate to quickly drop it into the bowl. The substance splashed as it met the cold metal, but it didn’t manage to get even close to touching either of you. Even though you had been quite careful, Vasily still recoiled after watching the liquid fall. Before he could dump it on his shirt, you grabbed it from his hands, hastily making sure to keep it out of reach.
When your gaze shifted back towards your partner, you felt your heart do a flip as you noticed his normal breathing pattern return. The wound was still there - you weren’t a Healer, so what did you expect - but the dark bruises that littered his chest were finally gone almost completely, just like the rotten smell.
“You’re Gri-”
“If you finish that sentence, I’ll make sure to dump the whole bowl of poison on you.” You threatened, pointing an accusing finger at the slightly frightened Vasily. “And if anyone else should ever get wind of this, I’ll make sure to provide you with an even more painful death than anything you could imagine.” It was a completely empty threat, but it still did its job.
“Alright, I will take this secret to my grave!” He exclaimed, raising his hands with a scared expression on his face.
"You better do."
Vasily quickly called for a medik, giving him some half-arsed explanation for the sudden disappearance of the bruises. The medik quickly got to work, cleaning and disinfecting the gash again before bandaging the wound again.
You didn’t even have to wait a full day before Nikolai’s cheeks reclaimed their previous colour, and his eyes eventually pried open. He let out a low groan as he attempted to sit up, but you reacted faster. With one hand on his chest, you pressed him back down into the mattress. It was only then, that he noticed where he was.
“Y/N?” His voice sounded hoarse, but as long as he was alive, that didn’t matter. “Y/N! What are you doing here? Why are you-”
“You almost managed to get yourself killed, Nikolai. Of course, your fiancé is going to be here.” Vasily cut him off, a self-satisfied grin on his face as his brother’s head whipped around to face him.
“Vasily? What are you doing here?”
“Your situation was critical. No matter how many differences we might have, I’d still not let you die alone. You’re my brother, after all. Or do you really think that lowly of me?” If he heard your muttered ‘yes’, he chose to tactfully ignore it, rather taking joy in Nikolai’s utterly befuddled expression.
Whilst their brotherly bickering was continuing, his hand snaked its way into yours, gently squeezing it in an act of reassurance. You couldn’t even begin to describe how grateful you were, that he was still alive, giving you the warmest smile he could muster.
“I was poisoned?!” He exclaimed as his brother had finished the basics of what happened before you arrived.
“You were stabbed and poisoned.” You added with a sly smile, watching as his concerned gaze shot towards you.
“What happened to the poison? How did they get it out?” His eyes filled with realization, as he glanced between you and Vasily. “Y/N, please don’t tell me-”
“Vasily is the only one who knows. Don’t worry. The information will be safe with him, won’t it?”
“She threatened to kill me if I tell anyone, so I’ll keep my mouth shut.” Vasily grumbled, causing Nikolai to let his head fall back in relief. He had expected the worst, but he knew that you were smarter than that. “Wait, hold on a second, you knew about her…disposition?”
“Of course, I knew. She'll soon be my wife, in case you have forgotten.” You pressed a quick kiss to Nikolai’s hand, soaking up the feeling of finally being near him again. From now on, everything would be okay.
Well, after you explained to your parents why you had disappeared for other a week. You sadly couldn’t use your Small Science for that.

not the same ganon anon but in your tags you offered strategies?? send help plz 🙏🏻
yes ok here is blueskittlesarts extended spoiler-free totk ganondorf strategy guide! specially formulated for players who generally suck at combat because me too bestie LMAO
pre-depths preparations:
as many sundelion foods as you can physically carry. fuck other healing food it just takes up inventory space. make sure your food can both restore your hearts and get rid of gloom-infected ones at the same time, and make sure you have A LOT of it. food that gives you extra hearts will also be VERY useful.
gloom-resistant food from dark clumps is ok but less useful because it doesn't stop ganon's hits from infecting your hearts, it only defends you from gloom that you might wander into on the floor of the arena. if you don't trust yourself to avoid it, bring some, but keep most of your inventory space for sundelions.
get good at flurry rush dodges if you can’t reliably perform them right now. trust me.
you want at least 100+ arrows and 60+ bomb flowers. seriously do not skimp on these things
as many STRONG shields as you can carry. try to get brand-new ones to maximize durability
i would not EVER go into this battle with less than 15 hearts. i had 17 when i fought it and was still dangerously low by the end. trust me on this
pre-ganon segment (depths):
im gonna be real you wanna savescum your way through this to maximize your survivability with ganon. do not use your food when you get hit, just reload a save and go again. save every time you beat anything, and avoid enemies at all where possible. use arrows when you have to fight but do NOT use your bombs, save those for later. the goal here is to get to the ganon’s army fight with full health without using any of the food you prepared, because there’s no teleport waypoint down there so you have to get through everything in one go. (if you have the travel medallion you may be able to negate these preparations by placing it once you get down to the last section of the depths before the battle kicks in, but I didn't so this is how i did it lol)
ganon’s army:
bomb arrows. bomb arrows are your best friend. the second each segment starts, dash as far away from the enemy spawn points as possible and fire off bomb arrows at them. don’t worry about running out your arrows or bombs because they are useless with actual ganon. this is what we brought them for. again, your aim here is to NEVER get hit so you can enter ganon’s battle with full health and all your food. this means staying far back and firing arrows like your life depends on it. ignore the sages, their abilities are useless here.
ganon phase 1:
this is the most straightforward phase i think. guard, dodge, and flurry rush. you should never try to hit him outside of a flurry rush because that gives him easy openings on link & he will often dodge your hits anyway. keep your shield up until he swings, and go for a perfect dodge every time. he has decently wide dodge openings so once you figure out the timing for each attack you should be ok. try to get hit as little as possible. you still want to maximize your food by saving it for the third phase.
ganon phase 2:
same as before, except extra phantom ganons make it extra annoying. they have the potential to fuck up your targeting, so your first priority at all times should be to make sure you’re guarding from the REAL ganon and not one of the others, because he will ALWAYS be targeting you. you can mostly leave the phantoms to the sages. continue dodging and flurry rushing in this stage, but be mindful of phantom ganons because they can mess up your dodges if you run into them or they hit you.
ganon phase 3:
this one is the hardest. use your food liberally now; this is the last time you will need it. do not try to hit him with melee attacks, even flurry rushes. it will not work. don’t go for arrows either (one online strategy guide claims arrows are the way to go in this fight. they are WRONG), it usually just gives him an opening to hit you back, and his attacks in this phase are capable of permanently DESTROYING your hearts, meaning even sundelion food wont get them back. your objectives here are 1. DO NOT GET HIT and 2. hit his own attacks back at him. when he goes for melee attacks, dodge or guard and then jump back as far away as possible. the further you are from him the more likely he is to go for ranged attacks, which is what you want. when he fires off balls of scary pink fire at you, hit them back at him with the master sword. they will do comically little damage and you will initially be frustrated. this is a waiting game. as long as you can wear him down with his own attacks while avoiding getting hit by him, this part of the battle is decently easy to win, it just takes a LOT of patience and dodging.
ganon stage 4:
this one is easy. if you’ve gotten here, you’ve basically already won the game. good luck!

Transforming Energy-Depleting "Self-Care" Habits 😫 ➡️ ☺️ | Holistic Leveling Up!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
there are a lot of bad habits we've picked up as ways to "treat ourselves," but in the long run, they are more injurious than beneficial. the few moments of gratification they provide are deceptive. they can often be the hidden energy vampires in our lives. i've shared not just a small selection of these habits may be, but ways to overturn them to be nourishing and revitalizing instead 🥰
💔coffee & energy drinks: they run the adrenal glands ragged over time, which prevents us from existing moment-to-moment in the restorative parasympathetic nerve states. sure, many tout that coffee has benefits because of its antioxidants. you're better off getting your antioxidants from a more nourishing source like berries. a need for coffee or energy drinks in your life is often a sign that you're not being adequately refreshed by your sleep or eating enough fruit (want for sweet, nutrient-dense foods). rather than continuing to neglect your needs, start your day with fresh cold-pressed juice, a smoothie, herbal tea, and/or fruit.
💔alcohol: everyone knows it's better for you to do without drinking, but culturally, it often points in the opposite direction. transform your viewpoint over drinking when you consider that it's a tradition based in poisoning ourselves. if it weren't so long practiced in our histories, we would be quite alarmed by the hangover effects of alcohol. also, in drunken states, we are often influenced to do more things which deplete us - whether that's who we choose to hang around, how we speak to others, what we eat, etc. show greater respect for your body and set higher standards for your precious liver who has so much work already to do in today's world by forgoing alcohol. it's much more fun to experiment with creating mocktails because you can drink at much as you want, and the effects are often health-promoting. and if you want to have a close experience to the real thing, there are non alcoholic alternatives sold in many places now.
💔ordering in/out: this is one of the most insidious habits because the restaurant business thrives based on menus made hyperpalatable with unnecessary amounts of oil, salt, refined sugars, and artificial ingredients (even at many of the healthier restaurants). such dishes often make us sluggish, cause mood fluctuations, stimulate cravings for more oversaturated flavors, diminish levels of inspiration, pose problems to digestion, provoke skin problems, cause a tendency to overeat, etc. and worst of all, it makes you lazier about making beautiful efforts for caring and nourishing yourself. it's a night-and-day difference from enjoying your own homemade meal, especially if it is a whole food plant based meal (with little to no oil, salt, and refined sugar). plus, you're able to infuse your own love in your food, exercise your creativity in the kitchen, and seduce yourself with your creations :)
💔hitting the snooze button/procrastinating tasks: this causes us to need to rush. one of the lesser known ways of hurting yourself is existing in the mindset that you are running out of time. try to frame your life in such a way that you're able to take your time. and when you're in time-sensitive situations, still continue to treat and speak to yourself kindly & exist in the now. often, when you act mindfully, you may surprisingly find that you accomplish your tasks more speedily. all the flustering and frustrations we catch our mind up in slow us down. catastrophizing about what might happen doesn't help us to defy physics. so, always be intentional with your usage of time. it's one simple kind act to show yourself, to not put yourself under pressure, no matter the circumstances, because it doesn't help to be harsh with yourself. in fact, it will help to develop a solid & loving relationship with yourself.
💔staying up just a bit later: a poor nighttime routine leads to poor sleep, so it starts your next day on the wrong food. adequately wind down and exist in a frequency of peaceful calm in the last hours of your day. use ambient warm lighting (candle lighting is preferable) instead of artificial blue lighting after sunset. tidy your space and your body, to reduce the stress of clutter. set aside the day's emotional/energetic baggage with reflective contemplation, meditation, body scanning, reiki, and/or forgiveness exercises. and don't fight your sleepiness. it's far better to fall asleep with intention, rather than from exhaustion or by accident while watching a screen. structure your nights to feel luxurious and supportive by remembering the value of a proper wind-down routine.
so, there it is. stop having the bliss stolen from your life by expanding your levels of care & compassion for yourself. always seek to increase your abilities to nurture yourself. contentment & joy await you on the other side. may all beings be blissful💚

Honest Review of Faefarm 8/10
Tumblr media
I was so excited to get my hands on this game and that excitement never faded as I played for hours on end!
Right off the bat you get to customize your adorable character and the options were amazing and very inclusive. Once you finish making your character you're transported into the charming world of Azoria. You get introduced to the mayor and get your first look at your new house and farm. Like most farming sims, your farm is covered in rocks and trees, and you get the wonderful task of clearing out the area. You are given tools fairly quickly and can start right away on this daunting task or you can follow the quests given to you. I chose to follow the quests and I'm glad I did because the beginning quests were actually the tutorial. The devs of Faefarm did a great job with the tutorial because I didn't even realize I was doing one until the end of chapter 1. That's the other cool part! This game has chapters!!! Faefarm is not just a farming sim. This game is so quest oriented that it had me addicted for hours just trying to complete the quests. There are even side quests to complete including romancing characters! I barely touched farming in the beginning stages of this game except for when a quest made me harvest a crop or if I needed food for stamina. As the game progressed and I needed more money to buy furniture for my home or an adorable new outfit, I eventually turned to crops as my main source of steady income. Crops aren't the only source of income however, there is fishing, critter catching, and mining for crystals to turn into polished crystals that sell for a ton of money. Once your pockets are lined with money you can set off to buy better tools from a handful of NPCs and with better tools comes more quests available to you.
At this point in the game, you can either continue these quests or start decorating your house and your farm! The options are limitless when it comes to decorating!!! There are so many styles and colors to choose from and the furniture you get to build are so cute. I will say building was not easy at first and decorating took some getting used to but overall, the mechanics weren't terrible. I enjoyed decorating my cozy home and the ability to expand my house is always a nice feature to have, but the coolest and probably the most appealing part of decorating your house is that certain furniture increases your health, stamina, and mana (your magic power). When you begin the game, you have very little of these three so decorating becomes crucial because dungeon crawling is a big part of completing quests. The monsters in the dungeons are unique and not overly challenging, but they are not to be underestimated. Many can come at you at one time making it overwhelming if not prepared. This is where cooking and potion making play a big role. Eating a cooked meal restores your stamina (and some foods give you extra powers as well) which helps you continue through the dungeons whereas potions help restore health and mana. Do not, I repeat DO NOT go into a dungeon without any food or potions! You will not be able to make it to the end and the end of the dungeon is the coolest part that you won't want to miss!!!
All of this doesn't even scratch the surface of things you can do in Faefarm! The possibilities are endless and there is no one set direction you have to go in. That's what I think makes this game so great. You play at your own pace and enjoy everything Azoria has to offer. If you are quest oriented, you can dive right in and beat the game and farm later. If you enjoy the simplicity of farming, then you can do just that and dungeon crawl at your own pace. Personally, I did a combination of the two because I wanted to take my time with this game but not go too slow that it took me forever to see some of the coolest parts. The reason I give this game an 8 out of 10 is because of the confusing building/decorating mechanics, the lack of NPC dialogue, and the fixed camera angle. Besides that, I would say this is one of the top contenders for farming sim of the year!

How does Val enjoy being a spawn/consort for Ascended!Astarion on the evil ending? Your drawings seem like there is still care between them, and I'd love to hear more about the evil ending dynamic!
hell yeah baby.
the splitting-off point in the timeline i can't get too into because fic spoilers teehee but in the 'canon' timeline, she officially denounces her devilhood and is 'cured', or rather made human. but in this timeline she accepts it.
as a succubus her job was to find a victim and enable whatever bad habits they were naturally inclined to until it ruined their life. this obviously applies to dangerous sexual practices but also addiction and prejudice. astarion is, more or less, the perfect victim for a succubus. a traumatized hedonist. a damaged man with the potential for tremendous evil. so of course she helps him ascend, but then he turns her into a spawn. she no longer serves the hells, she serves him. much like he's the perfect victim Valentine becomes the perfect consort: she will never, ever say no because it's in her nature to indulge him. looking at the two of them you wonder who is enthralled by whom.
the vampire ascendant doesn't need to eat, but he can, his natural inclination toward gluttony is just off the charts with valentine there. her restored hypnotic powers plus the vampire ones come in pretty handy with keeping a personal chef/general servants around without them noticing the murders and the vampirism and stuff. constantly going out to eat at fancy upper city restaurants intentionally ordering 3 people's worth of food and having no table manners cos he likes the attention it attracts. they keep a few thralls at any given time in the cells underneath the manor, fed on a special diet. making them eat nothing but honey or chocolate or cream and vanilla for days so he can taste it when he drains them.
now erm. i'm not into mobility play usually because i am really not down for the accompanying health stuff and the themes of helplessness/despair, but i'm not Not into it with ascended astarion because of how he flips the dynamic? like he Does eventually get big enough to need help with certain things, but he embraces this because he sees it as A: an attention-grabbing wealth flex and B: another show of the power he holds over his consort. here i am gorging myself on food i don't even need just because i want to, continually getting new fancy clothes tailored for my growing body because i can afford it. doesn't matter how conspicuously huge i get bc i have this woman who's endlessly unquestioningly devoted to me, who does everything for me. (don't even need to be able to touch myself because my pet succubus can take care of it.) and there's something to be said abt the intimacy of that stuff too. helping him bathe and get dressed, like in those drawings. ummm ok there's my longass post good night <3

So I did see a very big blogger say that they’re too triggered and exhausted by police brutality and watching our peers die, that they choose to not care and don’t have to. I was blown away by that. Yes, god, I am so tired of the problems we face in our country from being black but to show no empathy for others really saddens me. I truly thought some of my peers here were better than that. Seeing your post though restored my faith and I thank you for saying what I couldn’t put into words. A simple reblog for thousands of eyes to see is so important I don’t see how they don’t get it.
hi anon! sorry it took me awhile to respond bc i really wanted take extra time and thought for this. im glad that my post showed you that everyone not think and feel the same about sharing/supporting for palestine even though we may have the same racial/ethnic background. it’s honestly really disheartening but still frustrating to see other black simmers or just really some black people irl to kinda have that same reaction to what’s going on. i completely understand the suffocating trauma and feeling of hopelessness that comes with being black especially in america. not everyone who is black has the same trauma and i cannot speak for everyone especially those who may had a family member, friend or someone they knew affected by police brutality and/or lynching. the response to police brutality was to protect our peace, to take a break, and to prevent us from breaking down to point of not being able to fight against systemic oppression either alive or not. and that was understandable because stress and constantly being in fear about dying a senseless and brutal death for only being black heavily impacts our health both mentally and physically. im not trying to invalid that pain or experiences at all. and i never will.
but it just doesn’t feel right to me personally to turn away and stay silent about a literal genocide occurring right before us that is endorsed by our current president and is funded by american taxpayer dollars. even though im african american and a list of other marginalized identities, i still have the vital and basic privilege of being able to live with a roof over my head, a warm bed and shower, access to food and water when i need it, access to electricity to listen to music and be on my computer/phone, and so much more than many palestinians don’t have the opportunity to have right now. my mental health is not the best some days but waking up to see what’s going on in palestine every day for the past couple days have yet to drain me (this is probably another privilege) because it’s also the small and big moments of seeing palestine children smiling, journalists i have seen ever since this started still alive and reporting, people protesting all over the world via blockades and physical/financial boycotts. my experience during peak blm may have drained me emotional but the experience also radicalized me and made my activism or just simply my outlook on life more focused on love, community, nourishment, and a hopeful life without colonialism and imperialism. if i was more passive in engaging with geopolitical issues and just shut out the world around then i would be missing out on a lot of good things in this life.
i feel like there could be better ways to say this and maybe im just rambling on but there must be a balance between sustaining yourself as a person amid constant turmoil, violence, pain and death versus becoming complicit and silent just like those who oppress want us to be. every single one of us will not win or be free if silence is the only thing people can do to “protect our peace”. at the end of day, we owe it to the palestinians (as well as the congolese, haitians, sudanese, and many others who only ask that we speak up and care more).

What are some reasons to recover if youre a healthy weight alr?
You will never get to "enjoy" being underweight, because your brain will always want more (trust me, I know it sounds like lies but it has happened to everyone whose ed made them underweight)
Recovery gets harder the longer you put it off, so you'll be doing yourself a favour by not making it even harder than it already will be
Even without getting to the point of being underweight, your ed is destroying your health. The longer you put off recovery, the more likely you are of developing other conditions that might show up way later, even after recovery.
Read the one above again, and really take it in.
I don't say it just to be like oohh think of your healthhh because your ed doesn't care about that, but it happens so often!! People who had an ed in their youth and recovered, often still develop issues with their metabolism and gut health later. So many have poo or teeth troubles and it's so not sexy and usually expensive and painful.
Just to really make sure you got it: you don't need to be underweight to start fucking up your health and life with an ed.
Becoming underweight won't solve whatever problem your ed is trying to fix.
You will be so tired and joyless and a pain to be around, you won't even wanna do your favourite things. At my worst I stopped doing all my hobbies, I even stopped singing because I was just so tired all the time. I just lied in bed all day and waited for my next food ritual to begin. You won't be any different.
If you let it get worse, your friends and family will be completely unable to understand you, and you will be the most lonely and miserable being on earth. No amount of love that people will try to show you will fix it and you'll feel like the biggest disappointment and burden.
Your ed will slowly take away every single thing from you and you will not notice because you keep thinking "it's not gonna happen to me tho, I'm not like those who are actually for real sick"
Recovery will be easier, cheaper, more effective, and in general more fun when you dont have to go through weight restoration. When you're already at a healthy weight, you don't even have to gain weight in order to recover (which is obviously horrifying and makes successful recovery so much harder)
Life without an ed is just infinitely better, I can vouch for that as someone who went through it. Recovery is worth the discomfort, because once you fix whatever is causing your ed, you get to become the person you actually wanted to be, instead of becoming a slave to your ed.

Tears Of The Kingdom Spoilers Ahead
Nothing story related or anything, but more spoilers for a place you can go in game. I wanna talk to the devs that made this place for taking about 10 years off of my lifespan.
So, there's treasure maps that you can find in Totk. They lead to places down in the Depths where you can find cool armour in chests (Or at least armour is all I've found so far). I had found a treasure map awhile ago, can't remember where or when but all I knew is that I had put off following it for a while, so I went to the X it left on my map in hopes of finding a cool item.
I get there and climb up the wall, and I can see the chest inside of this very large Coliseum, and I'm like "Oh there's gonna be a boss fight here, like maybe a Lynel, Gleok, or maybe even a Flux Construct." I saved my game and went down, where not to my surprise, a gate opened revealing a Red Lynel covered in gloom. I take it down, not too much hassle, it was only a Red Lynel right. Wrong. To my absolute horror another gate opens, and I now have to fight a Blue Lynel.
At this point I'm like "I did not bring enough supplies for this, and there's no way it's gonna end on just a blue Lynel." Which I was right about. After I beat the Blue Lynel, a Black Lynel appears ready to cave my skull in.
I'm getting a little sweaty and my hands are shaking from all the focus so I'm getting sloppy and I'm getting hit more, further draining my rather limited supply of Gloom Healing food. Against all odds however I defeated the Black Lynel, at which point my final opponent arrives, a White Lynel.
I'm losing most of my best weapons by now, and the weapons the other Lynels are dropping are not as useful as I'd like them to be. So by the time I take this White Lynel down, I have about one meal with Gloom Heal left, a few meals that restore me to full health (Not very useful when your hearts are afflicted with Gloom) and 2 good weapons left.
I didn't think that'd matter, as the White Lynel is the strongest level of Lynel in BotW, outside of Master Mode as far as I'm aware. However some devious developer decided in TotK they where going to add enemies with Armour, which provides a smaller, yellow, healthbar on top of their normal health, which can only be depleted by hard hitting weapons, like any DIY hammers you've made, or bombs.
I do not have any bombs.
I do however have a Royal Claymore with a rock on the end, a perfect tool to break it's armour. At least it would be if it wasn't badly damaged, so it broke about halfway through its yellow healthbar.
Now I have to resort to using my god awful Royal Broadsword with a basic Stone Talus Heart on the end of it. Just barely destroying it's armour, at which point I have NO Gloom healing items left, and an entire White Lynel left to fight, which I've neglected to mention has a ROYAL CLAYMORE, WITH A MASSIVE SPIKED BALL ON THE END, ROUGHLY THE SIZE OF A GORON!
And yet despite all odds, I managed to kill it, with four hearts left to my name, out of my 21 (at least I think it's twenty one I'm bad at counting). Now what do I get as my reward for this gauntlet, this horrific trial constructed by a sadistic madman?
Well apparently, Majora's Mask. Which sounds nice but it only gives 1 defense so I'm not too sure of the use here. The description says it makes monsters have a harder time noticing you? So that's cool, maybe not worth my entire supply of weapons and healing items, but it's nice.
Sorry for the long post, I just had to get this out of my system some where. Just be warned if you're ever going around the Depths, the place is called the Floating Coliseum, if you want to avoid it. It's surprisingly close to the center of the map.

Natural Regen Comparison (Minecraft Java 1.19.3)
Rabbit Stew vs Golden Carrot vs Steak vs Suspicious Stew with saturation effect (made with dandelions or orchids)
Testing how many hearts you can regain with each of the food items that are called the best ones in the game
(Disclaimer: obviously there are several different standards by which you might decide which food item is the “best”, such as stackability, cost, how many food points it restores, how much saturation it gives, etc. This is only one factor out of many.)
What surprised me was that steak and golden carrots had the same exact outcome. I was expecting golden carrots to do better, because the benefit of steak is supposed to be restoring more food points, not saturation, and as far as I’ve understood, saturation is supposed to be the main driver of natural regeneration? Since it should give you more time to regenerate health before your food points start going down? idk
I’m less surprised by rabbit stew doing so poorly, since while it does restore a full haunch more than steak, it doesn’t give as much saturation and isn’t very useful in a situation where you aren’t actually that hungry. Rabbit stew would be more useful if the player was significantly down on food points.
Well, in any case what isn’t surprising is that saturation effect suspicious stew is decisively the winner of this test.
(Honestly, the only reason I included the rabbit stew was because it was easier to position four video clips together than three. I actually feel like the saturation suspicious stew pretty much makes the rabbit stew obsolete as one of the “best foods” because it’s just worse than saturations suspicious stew in every way and it shares all of suspicious stew’s bad aspects. Oh well, I guess this could be useful for people who play earlier versions though?)
Stats for each food:
Rabbit Stew: 10 food (🍖🍖🍖🍖🍖) + 12 sat = 22 total
Golden Carrot: 6 food (🍖🍖🍖) + 14.4 sat = 20.4 total
Cooked Beef: 8 food (🍖🍖🍖🍖) + 12.8 sat = 20.8 total
Suspicious Stew: 13 food (🍖🍖🍖🍖🍖🍖+½) + 21.2 sat = 34.2 total
(^That’s still the saturation effect suspicious stew I’m talking about, I just wanted to keep the names roughly the same length.)

Anon wrote: INFJ here, I am 14 years old so I am unsure of how to deal with someone who's unhealthy Se dom, can you help me out?
I have an 19 years old ESFP brother who's unhealthy, he tends to shift the blame on everyone else in his life, he is selfish with others sometimes, and if not selfish with me. He lies on me and would always say I am selfish or cold if I don't let him take something or share food with him, I can't handle his problems or behaviors anymore as he keeps making many mistakes and problems in one day, no 24 is passed without 1-4 mistakes in the same day.
He is easily angered and very sensitive, he raises his voice at anyone in the house even if we argue in a normal voice , even tell us we are raising our voice on him. My sister tried to warn him once about something he bought, told him it's gonna affect his health and he started yelling at her and telling her she always wants to point out if he is doing something wrong , when she is very worried for his health. He doesn't think about the consequences of his actions at all , always does what he wants and thinks that things may come to him on a golden plate, I can't handle his actions anymore and I am trying to find a way to deal with him, I know I can't fix someone if they don't collaborate but I want to know how to fix some behaviors and how to deal with it. I want to put him in his place but he is very aggressive and blunt.
He can be sometimes kind but that doesn't mean he will be fully kind or helpful and I can't handle the arguments he makes between everyone in the family and him.
---------------------
Unfortunately, the best way to deal with a toxic person is to distance from them, if not physically, then at least emotionally. Yes, everyone is a mixture of good and bad qualities, and everyone's got some problems dragging them down. However, some people's bad qualities/behaviors are so bad that they mostly just spread negativity, upset, pain, and harm to others. When that's the case, the most urgent thing for you to do is take care of your well-being by removing yourself from their destructiveness in any way possible.
Generally speaking, when faced with a genuine threat to your well-being in relationships, you don't have many options, so weigh the pros/cons based on your capabilities and preferences, for example:
- Option "Fight": You say you want to put him in his place, which is an invitation to fight. If you're gonna fight someone, you'd better be confident of winning. This means you need energy, STAMINA, strength, power, and the ability to continually dominate both physically and psychologically. If you don't have these capabilities or your capabilities do not surpass his, then you won't win the fight. If you can't win, you'll get very hurt, and the relationship problem gets worse. If you can win, there will be a wall between you, but he'll likely leave you alone and go after someone weaker.
If you're not a dominating sort of person, a more intelligent way to fight is to appeal to an impartial authority/power greater than the both of you who can help mediate the conflicts and restore peace as necessary. The natural choice would be the elders of your family like parents, aunts, uncles, or grandparents. This is more of a short-term strategy because elders won't be around forever and you'll eventually have to learn how to handle him yourself. However, if he's so out-of-control that even the elders can't make a difference, then you're out of luck on this front.
Big Picture Result: Fighting isn't likely to change him, his thinking, or his behavior. At best, it just pushes him to hide it better. But what does it do to you? It brings you down to his level, doesn't it? Can you live with yourself being like that? Can you feel good about life when you're constantly in fight mode?
- Option "Fawn": In the context of relationships, fawning is like saying, "if you can't beat'em, join'em". Instead of treating him like an enemy and worsening the conflict, you give in, cave, take it, swallow it, etc. Why do people fawn? The hope is that, if you are nice and always accede to his needs and demands, he will like you, so you will not be the main target of his blame and anger. Unfortunately, the reality is, the more you try to appease a bully, the less they respect you, and the more they feel it's okay to abuse you. Even if he decides to spare you because you worked so hard to save your own butt, it won't be pleasant to watch him target other family members.
Big Picture Result: Fawning basically rewards the bully for their bullying behavior, so there is absolutely no incentive for them to change. If anything, the negative behavior will get worse over time.
- Option "Freeze": In the context of relationships, freeze usually means resignation to the status quo. You try to blend into the background and hope for the best or pray for a miracle. This is not really a strategy but rather what happens when you have no strategy. It's the strategy of the truly powerless.
Big Picture Result: Freezing usually means the cycle of violence just continues indefinitely until someone finally decides to do something different.
- Option "Flight": In relationships you can't easily get out of, flight often means drawing and enforcing boundaries that strictly limit or end contact with the toxic person (see previous posts on the topic). Toxic people are game-players in the sense that they constantly want to draw you into their machinations. Their ego drama makes them seek out "enemies" to fight so that they can feel like the "hero". One way they do this is to keep baiting you until you react the way they want, so that they can prove some stupid point they imagine needs to be made. When you take the bait, you become the supporting character in their play with no real existence of your own, i.e., they control you.
The advantage of boundaries is you no longer play his game, because you are actively setting the rules for how to conduct the relationship in a way that honors everyone's well-being. Boundaries aren't about trying to blame, change, and control others in retaliation. Boundaries are there to protect you from harm by removing you from the relationship equation as necessary. Boundaries help you avoid taking the bait and getting entangled, but only if you are able to abide by the rules you set and carry out the consequences to anyone who breaks your rules.
Yes, being estranged from someone you love is hard and it hurts, but does it hurt more or less than being their victim? Only you can answer that. Keep in mind, when you set strict rules and boundaries or cut someone out of your life, it doesn't have to be forever. You can make it clear that you love him and you'll allow him back into your life on the condition that he changes the negative behavior. Sometimes, the best way to battle a childish person is to be the "adult" and walk away. It's hard to do this in a sibling relationship when you're the much younger sibling, but it's possible. You can look at it as an opportunity to build strength of character. There are lots of bullies in this world, so it's good for you to learn how to stand up for yourself sooner rather than later.
Big Picture Result: Limiting contact may or may not change his behavior depending on how badly he wants to resume the relationship with you. If he chooses not to change, you'll lose the relationship for good. If he decides to change, you can meet him halfway. In any case, you've put a cap on the amount of pain and damage he can inflict.
.
I hope this has given you some ideas about how to approach the situation. It should also help you have a better understanding of the various relationship dynamics he might have with the other people in your family. It's very unfortunate that you have to deal with a toxic family member. Family should be a place of safety, support, and love. You're not alone, though, since many people are forced to grow up in a dysfunctional family. The most important thing is you learn how to make things safe for yourself when others can't/won't.
If the situation with him ever deteriorates to the point where you really feel as though you can't bear it anymore, reach out for help. It's hard to make good decisions when you're in the middle of a very stressful situation. It might be a good idea to have someone in mind you can escape to, someone who can provide a safe space for you to calm down, talk things out, and think things through at your own pace. This person can be any adult you trust such as: aunts, uncles, grandparents, neighbors, your friend's parents, teachers, mentors, spiritual counselors, mental health professionals, etc. If you don't have anyone right now, then maybe get to know more of the adults in your orbit and cultivate a trusting relationship with at least one of them. Or, if you think it's enough to go some place quiet to catch your breath now and then, maybe try a friend's house, a local cafe or mall, or a public library or park, etc.

Arcanist Leveling Cheat Sheet
How to Level Your Arcanist - Fast, Cheap, and Solo
Tumblr media
The following is meant to be a straightforward and easy-to-follow guide to leveling an Elder Scrolls Online character in a single sitting, on the same day the character is made. It will work for classes other than Arcanist, but I will make recommendations for Arcanists specifically.
This guide is not comprehensive, you may wish to add other activities into you grind. Personally, I prefer to do those after my character is leveled to CP, so I just focus on getting to 50 with as many skill points as possible.
There are other options for leveling a character, but giving inexperienced players too many options can get overwhelming, so this guide is simple, streamlined, and effective for getting a well-rounded character.
Leveling this way will achieve level 50 in about 3 to 5 hours of gameplay and will help level skill lines and get extra skill points during that time, not just levels 4and attributes.
Check out the actual Excel-style cheat sheet here!
If you have tips or tricks you like to use, please drop them in the comments!
Tumblr media
Race, Role, Attributes, Mundus, and Consumables
This guide is for leveling as a DPS as it’s the easiest way to level solo. I prefer to level as a DPS even if I intend to change my new character’s role later, as you can easily change all skills and attributes after leveling.
Choose the race that’s best for the role you want to play, even if it isn’t DPS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Mundus: The Thief
If you’re struggling with low resources, switch to a sustain mundus:
Magicka: The Atronach
Stamina: The Serpent
Health: The Steed or The Lord
Here’s where you can find each mundus stone, and most guild halls also have all mundus stones available.
Tumblr media
Food & Drink
These foods and drinks work for characters of any level so you will never need to change them. They are all reasonably affordable or free.
Magicka: Witchmother’s Potent Brew
Stamina: Dubious Camoran Throne
Either: Bewitched Sugar Skulls or Crown Fortifying Meal
Crown Fortifying Meals are often given away as daily login rewards. Now is a great time to use them up, they’re a perfect leveling food!
Tumblr media
Potions
The easiest thing to do is use Crown Tri-Restoration Potions, which are great potions that work for any level character and are free daily login rewards. You may also choose to use "trash pots”, which are the magicka, stamina, or health potions you can loot off of enemies or purchase from NPC General Goods Merchants. NPC shop owners will present you with the correct level of potion for your character, making this an easy, inexpensive option. If you prefer to craft potions of spell or weapon power at the correct level for your character, go for it, but we’ll keep it simple here.
Tumblr media
Experience Boosts
Gather up your experience scrolls! These are constantly given away as free daily login rewards. Stick them in your bank and withdraw them on your new character.
Tumblr media
Grand Gold Coast Experience Scroll (150% XP boost for 1 hour)
Major Gold Coast Experience Scroll (100% XP boost for 1 hour)
Crown Experience Scroll (50% XP boost for 2 hours)
Alternatively, you can use Psijic Ambrosia, Aetherial Ambrosia, or Mythic Aetherial Ambrosia, but I don’t recommend it. These will stack with other food and drinks but they do not stack with experience scrolls, which are free and abundant. Ambrosia, by contrast, is very expensive.
Tumblr media
Gear (Armor, Weapons, Jewelry)
Gear Qualities
Normal (White) (Cheapest)
Fine (Green)
Superior (Blue)
Epic (Purple)
Legendary (Gold) (Costliest)
Use the best gear quality you can afford up to Epic (Purple). This gear is disposable, don’t waste money making it Legendary (Gold) quality for this purpose. Normal (White) or Fine (Green) is totally fine, what matters most is which sets you’re using.
Highest Priority for Quality: Weapons, followed by large body pieces (head, chest, legs).
Lowest Priority for Quality: Jewelry is very expensive and upgrading low level equipment is not worth the return. Use Normal, or Fine at maximum.
Glyphs: Relatively inexpensive, try to use Epic or Superior.
Tumblr media
Gear Sets
STAMINA CHARACTERS
Tumblr media
MAGICKA CHARACTERS
Tumblr media
Adjust as needed based on what you have available for each piece. As long as you have 5 Order’s Wrath and 5 Heartland Conqueror active at all times, with a 2-piece for weapon and spell damage, you’re fine.
Upgrading
Training gear needs to be upgraded periodically. Low level gear will be weak on higher level characters. Optimally, make gear for every 10 levels (1, 10, 20, 30, 40). If you prefer fewer sets, every 20 levels (1, 20, 40) is fine. Backbar is unlocked at level 15. Make your first backbar weapon level 14.
More Info
A bit more information about these sets, with alternatives. Feel free to skip this part if you don’t need it.
Weapon & Jewelry Set: Order’s Wrath (High Isle, 3 traits) This is the best crafted set for DPS in ESO, and requiring only 3 traits, almost any crafter can make it.
Body Set: Heartland Conqueror (Blackwood, 7 traits) This set doubles the bonus of the Training trait on your weapons, increasing that XP bonus from 9% to 18%. We’re putting this on the body because it requires 7 traits, and armor traits are easier to come by.
Alternative sets requiring fewer traits: Law of Julianos (Wrothgar, 6 traits), Sload’s Semblance (Summerset, 6 traits), Hunding’s Rage (Base Game, 6 traits), Claw of the Forest Wraith (Galen, 5 Traits), Innate Axiom (Clockwork City, 2 traits)* *If you use Innate Axiom as a 5-piece set, do not use it as your 2-piece set.
2-Piece Set: Innate Axiom (Clockwork City, 2 traits) Any set with a 2-piece bonus of weapon and spell damage will work. (Weapon and spell damage is better than critical damage in this slot.) Innate Axiom requires the fewest traits.
Alternative 2-Piece Set Options: Diamond’s Victory, Dragon’s Appetite, Oblivion’s Foe, Pelinal’s Wrath, or Red Eagle’s Fury
Note: I had originally intended to give an alternative option of overland sets for those who can’t get crafted sets. I was unable to find most overland gear in my chosen sets in levels below level 160 so I can’t recommend this.

Skills / Abilities
Class Skills
While you’re leveling and gaining more skill points, you’ll want to fill out the Herald of the Tome skill line first. This is the DPS skill line for Arcanists. (Remember, this can be changed later if you want to play a different role.)
Tumblr media
Choose your preferred morphs as the abilities rank up, but here are the suggested morphs for DPS:
Runeblades > Writhing Runeblades
Fatecarver > Exhausting Fatecarver
Abyssal Impact > Cephaliarch's Flail
Tome-Bearer's Inspiration > Inspired Scholarship
The Imperfect Ring > Fulminating Rune
The Unblinking Eye > The Languid Eye (Ultimate)
You will also want to begin taking passives under Herald of the Tome as you gain skill points. Simply take them as they become available.
Tumblr media
If you need defensive skills, Curative Runeforms is the healing skill line and  Soldier of Apocrypha is the tanking skill line. You can add some easy defense to your bar with:
Soldier of Apocrypha > Runespite Ward > Impervious Runeward
Curative Runeforms > Runemend > Evolving Runemend
Curative Runeforms > Remedy Cascade > Cascading Fortune
Curative Runeforms > Chakram Shields >  Tidal Chakram
Tumblr media
Racial Passives, Armor Passives, Weapon Abilities, and Fighter’s Guild
While leveling, you’ll also want to take skills from other lines as they become available. Use your best judgement about what you need as you’re playing, but here are some suggested priorities.
Racial passives (All) >  Skip any skills useless for leveling.
Armor passives > Light Armor (Evocation, Spell Warding, Prodigy, Concentration) > Medium Armor (Dexterity, Wind Walker, Agility)
Weapon abilities > Bow > Volley > Arrow Barrage > Destruction Staff > Wall of Elements > Unstable Wall > Destruction Staff > Force Shock > Crushing Shock > Dual Wield (Daggers) > Blade Cloak > Deadly Cloak > Two-Handed (Greatsword) > Critical Charge > Stampede > Two Handed (Greatsword) > Cleave > Carve
Fighter’s Guild (More about this in Leveling) > Trap Beast > Barbed Trap > Expert Hunter > Camouflaged Hunter > Dawnbreaker > Flawless Dawnbreaker
Tumblr media
Leveling
Leveling this way will achieve level 50 in about 3 to 5 hours of gameplay and will help level skill lines and get extra skill points during that time, not just levels and attributes.
Create your character. Your character will be level 3 when complete, whether or not you skip the tutorial.
Unlock Fighter’s Guild. (How to join the Fighter's Guild.) You will want to level this skill line while leveling your character. You can skip this if you don't plan to play DPS or PVP.
Tumblr media
Grinding
Use your XP scroll and set a timer for its end time so you can refresh this buff.
Do not join a group if leveling solo. Popular grind spots will often see people grouping up with strangers, but if you do, you won't be able to use the Group Finder for random dungeons.
Group for a Random Normal Dungeon using the Group Finder. Set your role to Damage. (Don't fake another role! It's not only rude, it won't help you here because you want downtime between dungeons.)
Each time you get a dungeon you have not done before, be sure to take the quest at the beginning and complete it. This will give you a skill point each time.
Choose a grinding location to gain XP while you wait for your dungeon to pop. (More Below.) The recommended grinding locations have plenty of daedra and/or undead, which level your Fighter's Guild skill line.
Continue cycling through random dungeons and your grinding location until you've achieved level 50.
Tumblr media
Grind Locations
Craglorn Spellscar
This location is usually very populated and has relatively high-level overland enemies. Overland enemies are worth more experience than other types. It's excellent for characters with unleveled mounts as it's small and easy to travel across on foot. The smallest area with the easiest enemies is the fire area. It's very easy to get massive XP doing circles here.
Tumblr media
Alik’r Dolmens
This is probably the most popular XP grind in ESO. Each of the Dark Anchor dolmens in Alik'r is very near a wayshrine, so it's easy to cycle from one to the next. This offers a great deal of XP but may be harder for characters who don't have leveled mounts because the dolmens go down quickly and it's easier to ride from the wayshrine to the dolmen mounted.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Duo Grind Locations
For use if you want to group with one friend. This still works while cycling through random dungeons. These locations are better for more experienced players. You can also use the solo grinding spots with a friend.
Skyreach Catacombs
Blackrose Prison
