Summary: Lan Yuan didn’t mean to start a collection of undead rabbits.
Mojo's comments: Sweet young boy, intuitively raising the dead out of sheer love.
Excerpt: He imagines his grief to be wispy clouds on a clear winter day swirling inside him and coalescing into something more. It feels like trying to grasp the smoky and fleeting trails of incense—if incense burned cold. But he doesn’t have to hold the power, just direct it into Xiao Xue. He extends the feeling towards her.
“Return to me,” Lan Yuan says, voice louder than what is proper, with an echo of the power he is only starting to uncover. A wisp of black smoke trails out from where his hand still hovers above her body and envelops Xiao Xue’s tiny form.
He can feel his power seep into her even as the smoke fades away. It chases away the rigor in her limbs and reaches out like a gauze net to enclose her dissipating spiritual cognition.
Xiao Xue’s nose twitches and she opens her eyes as if waking up from a nap.

What does it mean to come back to life as an accidental wrinkle in the fabric of reality? Jason Todd might not know the meaning of life, but he does figure out the meaning of his life, somewhere in between killing the Joker and ringing the doorbell to Wayne Manor.
Or, a canon-divergent take of Lost Days and Countdown to Final Crisis, where Under the Red Hood doesn’t happen.
i participated in this year's @batbigbang and drew for faia's fic, who was a very wonderful person to work with, and who wrote a fic that is so up my alley, i had trouble choosing what to draw! :') it's super great, and it features multiverse shenanigans, which is why i got to draw one jason judging another jason's red hood shtick 😂

Bat Big Bang Starts Next Week!
It's here! After all of the hard work this year from our authors, artists, and their supporters, we're ready to start sharing these works very soon!
Posting begins Saturday, September 23!
The 2023 Bat Big Bang will include fourteen illustrated 50k+ fics in total, one fic revealed daily at 3PM EST here and on Ao3, for two weeks of novel-length fics. Apparently fics I write around the same time tend to start similarly heh. I think my main patterns are that I don’t usually start with dialogue, and I usually like to establish the context/setting at least a little bit.

FTH Crafts Bazaar - FaiaSakura’s Embroidery
What I’m Offering
I am offering custom embroidery hoops of simple graphic designs and/or quotes. Pricing is based on the size and complexity of the commission, ranging from $15-50. Multiple slots are available. I ship from the United States and will cover basic shipping for both domestic and international. For international shipping, please check that I can ship to your country and you will need to pay any customs fee. If you would like faster shipping, package insurance etc, you will need to cover the difference. I work in a non-smoking household with cats and will not be able to keep the craft dander-free.
A $15 piece would be a short quote or simple graphic in a 3 or 4-inch hoop. The two pieces pictured above are both examples of $50 pieces. The one on the left is a 6-inch hoop with a single filled-in graphic and a quote. The one on the right is an 8-inch hoop with multiple simple graphics. Graphics I can do include but are not limited to: symbols, logos, outlines of people/animals/plants.
I can do any fandom, as well as non-fandom ideas. I am willing to consider explicit/NSFW ideas on a case-by-case basis.
How it works
March 1 to March 5: Contact me at faia[dot][email protected] with your custom idea, and I will give you a quote for the commission. If I accept your commission and you agree to the quote, you will donate the amount to any charity @fandomtrumpshate is supporting this year.
March 12: Proof of donation due. Please send your donation receipt (either forward the email or provide a screenshot) to me.
March-December: I will collaborate with you on an initial design, then work on the physical embroidery. Timeline for completion will be variable dependent on how many commissions I am doing, as well as my other personal and professional commitments. Your craft will be shipped out before the end of 2023, but I cannot guarantee that it will arrive by the year end given variable shipping times, especially during the holidays

I tried to get a good distribution of fics from my Check Please days (2018) on. Some of these are Khashana classics, others deserved better. Whether I could find a good clump of lines near the middle heavily factored in as well.

She tries to turn her face away to keep Lan Zhan dry, but Lan Zhan catches her and turns her so her face is nestled into the side of Lan Zhan’s neck.
“I’m getting you all damp, Lan Zhan,” murmurs Wei Ying.
“Let me absorb,” Lan Zhan whispers back, and Wei Ying clings.

He had to look away to summon the face to say the last part, but then he chanced a quick glance back at Lan Zhan’s face, which confirmed nothing.
“You love me,” he said, and his voice broke slightly. “You love me, and so it isn’t called ‘Wei Ying, so help me I am going to make you copy the rules for eternity if you don’t shut up.’”

“Have you been holding out on me, Lan Zhan?” he asks, raising his voice to normal talking-at-a-party level. “Do you bring people home and tie them up in bed? Has he walked in on it? Did I awaken something in you?”

Zuko’s mouth dropped open. That was one answer he had absolutely not considered. Celebrate? Not hate, not tolerate, not even accept, but celebrate?

Zuko makes the executive decision to ignore that baffling comment entirely and walks up to the counter. Jet arches an eyebrow at him. Zuko fists a hand in his lapels, drags Jet forward over the counter, and kisses him on the lips firmly.
He keeps it quick and chaste, and when he releases Jet, he has the pleasure of seeing him speechless. Zuko smirks at him and leaves before Jet can find his voice again.
(yes this counts as minor Jetko as it’s the sum total of the time it shows up at all in the 8k, lol)

He sighs, feeling himself on a precipice. He shakes his head where it’s pressed against her shoulder.
