Last night I was feeling kind of shitty out of the blue, and for no reason in particular, I decided to put on my chest binder.
Very quickly felt a sense of relief come over me, and same thing happened when I put it on today.
So here's a little reminder in case anyone else is like me and tends to minimize their dysphoria: sometimes dysphoria isn't always obvious. Sometimes it's just this sort of unexplained bad feeling. So if you're dealing with unexplained bad feelings and you've tried other things (making sure you're fed, staying hydrated, getting enough sleep, taking a shower, all those basic things) to deal with the bad feelings with no luck, maybe check if doing things that give you gender euphoria or at least lessen your gender dysphoria help.

People who identify as Aspec because of trauma are still Aspec. People who identify as Aspec because of Dysphoria are still Aspec People who realized later on they weren't Aspec where are any less Aspec when they were identifying as it. The point is that at some point they related to and felt understood under an Aspec identity and that's all you need to be Aspec. If it changes later on then that's just how it is, it doesn't make them a faker or poser. It makes them a human being who is constantly growing and understanding more about themselves. We should be supporting these people not treating them as the enemy. If they change their minds then that's okay!
So many of us Aspec people used to think we were allo before realizing we weren't so why are we attacking others for having the same experience just with different identities?

reminder to any pack species nonhumans without any nonhuman friends / nonhuman friends who are lone / solitary species, you always have refuge in my blog! if you ever need dysphoria advice, comfort, validation, or just want an otherkin / therian friend to talk to, i am here ! we can make our own little pack, from paw to wing to fin to talon to scale to literal beings of light or monsters who take inhuman and intangible forms- we are all nonhumans ! we are all valid and we all deserve comfort no matter our species ! ( fictionkin are welcome to this too, if you just want company, kin validation, or support! )
psa that i am a minor if you are uncomfortable interacting with minors / your account is nsfw in nature, that you shouldn't / dont have to interact !

There’s a specific way nonbinary dysphoria is explained to people as something along the lines of ‘basically like binary trans dysphoria but they‘re cool with some things, and toned down’, and it never fails to make me want to scream. There’s this subtle delegitimisation of dysphoria that enben have, making it seem as ‘less’, both in intensity and in areas. Because people see nonbinary as ‘binary trans lite’, we can’t be dysphoric about the same things, with the same intensity, but not have it in a fully male or female way. We can’t have our own experiences that are independent to binary trans people, we just don’t exist like that apparently. And so, what makes our dysphoria nonbinary is that it’s less, it has to just be less. If we start becoming our own thing, people start becoming uncomfortable, and then we’re back to being the delusional fakes in the trans community

I think we can absolutely criticize how gender dysphoria is viewed and defined, but sometimes, I think people can swing too far in the other direction to say that gender dysphoria doesn't exist at all, or that anybody who claims to have gender dysphoria simply have internalized transphobia. I really don't think this is helpful to trans people who are dysphoric, and it really puts us in a shameful position wherein our feelings are deemed proof of being problematic or transphobic.
I absolutely don't think dysphoria is required whatsoever to be trans - I hope my blog has made this position clear. I just hate the way dysphoria is understood by cis doctors and medical professionals, who typically do not talk to or try to understand their dysphoric patients. I don't think the solution is to blame dysphoric trans people, though (or non-dysphoric trans people!). We didn't ask for the state of transphobic healthcare. We need to put the blame where it lies - with biased professionals who don't want to accurately understand dysphoria and how it can overlap with trans identity and the transphobic society many of us live in.
#trans#transgender#lgbt#lgbtq#ftm#mtf#nonbinary#transphobia#transphobia tw#dysphoria tw#i just wish people would be nuanced and maybe more compassionate about this#because this (like most other healthcare and mental wellness topics) are so fucking complex and nuanced#dysphoria is just as complex as any other healthcare need and i wish more people (doctors especially) actually understood that#because doctors seem to get when i say that depression has ruined my life because they understand depression a *tad* bit more...#...but when i talk about dysphoria and say it *destroyed* me? i'm suddenly a lab rat and they refuse to understand how i feel and why#also saying gender dysphoria isn't real isn't something only non-dysphoric trans people say...#...in fact i think they understand more about dysphoria than some cis people do...#...and i full-heartedly would support a trans person no matter what their dysphoria does or does not look like...#...because dysphoria is highly contextual and does not present the same and doesn't have to be present for someone to be trans...#...it's just that in my experience as a dysphoric trans person i've found that people aren't suddenly more supportive of me...#...and i really want to change how we talk about transness and dysphoria#i don't want to talk about non-dysphoric trans people like i know what it's like because that isn't my story...#...but i want to make it CLEAR that i will always want them in my trans spaces and that we *need* them in our community

I just discovered something crazy!! never knew this could give so much euphoria
so it was really hot in my room and nothing kept it calm, so I took my hoodie off and went to sleep shirtless. I was thinking, "I'll remember I have breasts in the morning. it'll be annoying" but I still did it.
anyways,, waking up in the morning it was the opposite!! guys can go to sleep shirtless, right? well I did too! nothing to bind but still got rid of the chest dysphoria. I literally feel like a dude with this and it's amazing
