Another thing about her, is that she is so expressive! Like you look at her face and you know what she is feeling and have an idea about what is going on her head.
Even when she is trying to hide her feelings you can her smiling being tense or getting sadder but without disappearing to show being to obvious.
Speaking of expressions remember her face after the candle went out? Her expression there remember she walking with Antonio to his door (Her eyes are more open there but still), kinda like she so overwhelmed with everything that she went almost numb.
I absolutely LOVE how expressive Mirabel is. Not only is she adorable, but her facial expressions give her a shining personality. She can be funny, angry, scared, vulnerable ect, and the animation is always downright phenomenal. I love how the filmmakers aren’t afraid to make female characters goofy, expressive and alive, because that’s what I always yearn for, let us be expressive and emote! And yeah, her expressions in the serious scenes always get me, Disney animators really know their stuff! 🥺💕
The word "animation" stems from the Latin "animātiōn", stem of "animātiō", meaning "a bestowing of life", and that, if you ask us, could not be more appropriate. Animated movies have the scope and freedom to capture life in a way quite unlike any other medium, even if it is essentially just still figures manipulated to appear as if they are moving. But this is a simple definition for something beautiful in its complexity. It comes in many, many forms too: traditional animation, rotoscoping, anime, cut out, 3D animation, stop motion, motion graphics... all of these mediums and more can capture the beauty, humor, strangeness, and indeed violence of life with endless creativity.
As it happens, 2023 is something of a vintage year for #animation, with the release of Nimona, Ruby Gillman: Teenage Kraken, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Suzume, The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman, and Unicorn Wars. There is an abundance to come, too, with the return of anime master, and suspected final film, from Hayao Miyazaki, a fresh new take on Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, the conclusion of the long-running ancestral trauma pageant The Venture Bros., and even another Chicken Run. It's a good, good year, despite it all.
My take on honest John from that twst fest I couldn’t see. Do Gideon later. So do they come out next month or in October? Ooo I hope they’ll be an anime trailer like they did for rollo
WHY THE HELL WON’T THEY LET US SEE THE 3D DANCE I WANT TO SEE THE GLORIOUS MASQUERADE DANCE
Hi guys! Just wanna share that the animated film I made "THE END" just released on YouTube! It's free to watch so do check it out! And if you could like and reblog to share it around it would mean the world to me!!!🌹🗡❤
I just finished watching the trailer for Inside Out 2, and I gotta say I think it's GENIUS that they made Anxiety (and her associates for that matter) an antagonist without making her a villain.
The whole message of the first movie is that trying to suppress or cut out certain emotions from your life (even negative ones) can be unhealthy and even damaging. So, by not portraying Anxiety as a two-dimensional villain but as someone who genuinely wants to help out Riley, it's not only a breath of fresh air, but it also keeps true to the themes of the story.
And lemme tell you, as someone who has autism and therefore deals with a lot of anxiety (ESPECIALLY IN SOCIAL SITUATIONS) this legit brings tears to my eyes.
Kikimora was about to feed you to her dragon but decides to spare you... for the time being. (Watch with sound for extra creepiness 🔊)
Been binging a lot of Owl House lately and felt the urge to model and animate hand goblin Kikimora, so I guess you could say this is a little bit of a tribute.
