Update: How To Keep Seeing My Smuts & Other Writers'

As per Tumblr's New "Community Label" Update

Hello! I've seen other writers make a post about the new update, so I wanted to make one of mine to notify my readers.

As you may know, Tumblr is pushing a Community Label update in which users are allowed to filter the content they want to see. While this is highly beneficial for those who want to avoid seeing content they aren't fond of, this can make you stop seeing the smuts a lot of writers in this community create.

If you want to keep enjoying our smuts:

For Website:

Go to Dashboard Settings, and click the Show circle in the Community Labels section on Mature content. Do the same for Sexual themes. You can choose whether to tick the options of the other choices or not.

For Mobile:

Go to Account Settings, then choose Content you see.

Go to the Community Labels section and click the arrow beside Hide on Mature. Then, click Show for both Mature and Sexual themes. Again, it is your choice if you want to tick the Show button for the other choices.

Petition to get rid of community labels!

Here is the link again guys

Please please please repost, share with your friends, make your own separate posts with the link to the petition, share on other apps and platforms please. I am hoping for at least 10,000 signatures but realistically we are looking at needing 100,000!

To sign the petition all you need to do is click sign this petition, provide your name and email address, the verify your email address for your signature to counted! It takes less than a minute and would really help

Pinning the link to your bio on social media would also be amazing, so please help if this is something you are willing to fight for. This is literally something I’m willing to go on strike for in terms of my writing, and if the censorship gets any worse, I’m moving to ao3 completely.

okay i think we need a little reminder because it’s the second time this is happening to me :

please, when you are reading something that you find too sexual which you stumbled upon, do not report said works nor put a community label on it. if the piece of writing that you are reading makes you uncomfy or you don’t like it, just stop reading it and pass on something else.

most authors on the platform add content warnings in their post to prevent this from happening. we know that certain topics or nsfw/smut works are not for everyone, and that’s okay, but please : do not put a community label on a writer’s work, because if you do then this can prevent users to see the smuts that a lot of writers create.

PSA to everyone on the Veneris Filia taglist, make sure you have your community label settings to off or it will be hidden from you.

This is a DARK fic and I will not cause someone to be triggered because I don’t want use a setting, that they have turned on for their safety, when it should be.
