Well, we're done with the Batbros, time for the Batsis!

This is a scenario of what would happen if pain and panic brought the young hercules before hades to execute him, but hades regrets his decision when he sees the adorable little baby hercules, and decides to keep him and isolate him until the prophecy time passes, it would resemble like a type of rapunzel au, with the difference that hades came to feel some love for his nephew whom he raised. And hercules on the other hand just wants to know what the surface is like, I mean he loves the underworld but after years of talking to mortal souls he wants to know how to live up there. It's a big change in their relationship especially because I feel that the series could have covered more of his relationship as uncle and nephew, but imagine a hercules raised by hades and still be the kindest and sweetest person in the world.

I can totally imagine Hades about to smite baby Hercules and he just sees him crying and his inner paternal instincts kick in and he’s just like “Alright, that’s it…I can’t kill the kid. I mean, it’s like trying to murder a puppy, it’s impossible!”

But yes omg Hades raising baby Hercules as his own to prevent him from trying to stop his Olympus take over scheme would be totally adorable! Hades doesn’t know the first thing about kids, so he is so out of his element lmao. But yeah, then Herc grows up and Hades secretly gets anxious that Herc will somehow betray him when he turns 18 and “switch sides” (or learn who his real father is) to stop him from taking over.

I kinda feel like for most of Herc’s life he’d probably be very distant, only doing the bare necessities (feeding him, cleaning him, etc.) for him when he’s young, but will overall try to avoid creating any sort of bond with him. After all, this was his older brother’s kid (not his own) and he was doing all of this because he has it out for Zeus. But part of me (the simp part of me lmao) really wants to see Hades in total dad mode being all domestic and stuff because I’m just a sucker for that kind of stuff lol!

But yes, I love the Rapunzel idea of Hades basically keeping Hercules isolated in the underworld so nobody from Olympus would find out that he was there. And yes omg Herc being curious about Earth after talking with some of the mortal souls and Hades is like “nope, not gonna happen” lol!

I think for this one they made Persephone Herc’s “partner in crime” and she was also the daughter of Hades and Demeter (which is a great call back to the original episode they planned for Persephone in the series lol). Also I believe Hera was also sort of a “villain” that decided to work with Hades to take down Zeus. But yeah, despite being raised by Hades and being taken “under his wing” to be like a minion, he still turned out to be very kind hearted and sweet and I love that idea too!

Also I totally agree that the show should’ve shown the family relationship between Hercules and Hades more (and even Poseidon). Like, we hear all the time that Zeus is Herc’s biological father, but we only hear a few times in the show about Poseidon and Hades being his uncles and as I’ve mentioned before, the movie doesn’t even mention the familial relationship between Zeus, Hades, and Poseidon, making Hades look like a one off villain that wants power rather than a vengeful little brother. I don’t even think Herc himself has referred to Hades as his uncle in the series (most likely because Hades has it out for him so much that they don’t even have an uncle/nephew relationship, so why bother calling him uncle if he doesn’t act like one) which is a shame. I know Hades has called Hercules his nephew in a few episodes, but that’s about it. Like, I’m pretty sure there’s a TON of characters in the show that might not even realize that Hades is Herc’s uncle and I just find that funny tbh because like, he’s always trying to pretty much kill Hercules and everyone’s just like “Oh, it’s Hades.” Not “Oh, it’s your uncle.” When talking to Hercules about him Lmao like in the Big Show episode Merv Griffin is like “Oh, you’ve tangled with the infamous Hades? That guy’s a nincompoop!” Or something like that and it’s like, you do know that’s his uncle, right? Lol, like this teen is constantly fighting his uncle and his minions lmao, that’s crazy. Also I can totally imagine Icarus not fully realizing that Hades is Hercules’ uncle and they just have a convo like:

Icarus: Wait, so, let me get this straight…Hades is your UNCLE?

Hercules: Yeah. You didn’t know this entire time? It’s been like, 3 years, Icarus.

Cassandra: You literally played as Hades for the Nemmy awards and mentioned that Zeus was his brother. How did you not know they were related?

Icarus: I don’t know! I thought he was just some god that hated your guts!

Hercules: Well, he kinda is, but he just so happens to also be my uncle.

Icarus: Wow. Talk about family conflict. I thought being a child of divorce was problematic, but an uncle that constantly wants to kill you? Yikes!

Mario:I grew up playing this franchise with my favorite cousin so i have literally countless good memories of it!!!It's just a super wholesome and fun and interesting series and i love everything about it so much!Also Daisy was my fave as a kid but now it's Rosalina which i think symbolizes my transition from tomboy to femme transmasc /lh

Hades:Ah,greek mythology my old beloved.As a Pjo kid with Percy as their all time fave,i instantly fell in love with this world and especially Zagreus(///*Looks at the self-insert pastel goth guygirl i made to ship with him*).Very cool,very original,very bisexual and trans,my tism is very in awe of it

Night in the Woods:The thing that drew me in the most was Mae-I found this one at the beginning of a very rough time in my life and i was very similar to Mae so she's incredibly important to me.On a lighter note though,this game's so fucking funny😭I was laughing every other scene and it has great messages,cool plots,equally cool mechanisms and banger after banger songs!!Deserves all the love☺

Butterfly Soup:It's so fucking cute!!!!Extremely adorable AND hilarious AND relatable to me as a bi nonbinary afrolatina AND accurate rep!!Also the songs are so soothing and Diya and Min are one of the best couple's out there💞💙

The Tower & FE3H

The Tower represents destruction. Upon all the hopes and dreams of mankind (the tower itself), a fork of thunder strikes, destroying the power and authority that people have placed upon it. An unstoppable force of God or nature has occurred, and nothing could have prevented it. At the same time, the location of the tower seems to foreshadow that something catastrophic would happen -- what did they think would happen when they built a tall tower upon a mountain? 

However, The Tower also represents a necessary destruction so that better things can be built in its place. The thunder has dethroned the crown, asking the people to rethink authority and preconceived notions, giving way to an awakening of new insights. 

The crest associated with this card is the Crest of Charon. Charon is the ferryman of Hades, bringing passengers from the world of the living to the underworld. He’s considered a psychopomp of Greek mythology. So his duty is to transport souls from one world to another, whether on a boat or otherwise. He is typically depicted as having flashing eyes and an angry demeanour. This is likely a reflection of how people at the time felt about death. 

The Lightning Dragon is a strange one, since it is so similar to the Storm Dragon. When I did my research on what Lightning could represent, it led me back to the god of thunder, lightning, and storms. My only thought is that the god of thunder has a strong relationship to his brother, the god of wind. Perhaps the relationship is important somehow. 

I imagine the Lightning Dragon to be like a twin to the Storm Dragon, only that the Lightning Dragon crackles with electricity instead of being a foreboding shadow over the land. 

Instead of connecting this card to a person, I will connect it to an event. The Tragedy of Duscur. The assassination of King Lambert. While well-meaning, King Lambert was targeted for his massive reforms and hopes of peace with Faerghus’ neighbours. He was struck down by other nobles and forces beyond human comprehension (Agarthans). This reflects the destruction found within The Tower card, and the shockwave of effects felt by the royal family, the people of Duscur, and those truly loyal to Lambert. 

Charon being a bringer of death matches well with this event. So many lives were claimed as part of this event. Not only that, but the Charon family played a large part in the aftermath as well, bringing Christophe to justice for an attempted assassination on Lady Rhea and as a result being accused of plotting the assassination against the late king. 

Finally, the parallel to the Lightning and Storm Dragon can be found in both these events being catastrophic for the regions they affected. Edelgard’s war put the continent into a state of prolonged turmoil and may end with the Agarthans taking their final revenge upon Nabateans. The Tragedy of Duscur ended with the death of many Duscurians, and nearly the destruction of the Faerghan royal family. 

I do think it’s interesting to note that the two darkest cards of the major arcana also correspond with the two characters that suffered Agarthan experimentation, Edelgard and Lysithea. So perhaps these cards can also be connected to the underlying “rot” of Fòdlan in some way.
