(ID : rectangular flag made up of six equally-sized stripes. The colors, from top to bottom, are : purple, light purple, baby pink, light pink, a mid-tone between light pink, and dark pink.)
Acefucked/Aceweird: A term for when someone's asexual identity and/or their relation to it is inherently so complex and transient that it feels unable to explain or comprehend. It can have ties to neurodivergency.
I made this because I couldn't find an ace version of Arofucked/Aroweird. I will also make an AroAce version. Anyone can use this or make variations there of. I can't make symbols, so there is no ace symbol for this flag.

Alt nebulasexual, nebularomantic and nebularose flags Respectively.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
ID: three images of pride flags, all with seven stripes. The first flag has colors from top to bottom in this order: dusty dark blue, dusty purple, dusty light pinkish purple, light pink, three shades of purple from light to dark. The second flag has the same top three stripes as the first, then a pale peach, dusty light orange, dusty peach, and a desaturated light purple. The third flag follows the same pattern, with the bottom three stripes being a gradient from light pink to dark pink. End ID.
I made these flags because the ogs clashed heavily with the rest of my pride flags in terms of color scheme. I also made some fun fruit themed ones under the cut!
Blueberry Nebulace, Peach Nebularo, and Strawberry Nebularose

i’ve seen a lot of aro, ace and aroace people not sure if they should or not use microlabels and my simple answer is: do what feels best for you. you’re valid anyway.
general labels might look black and white, and sometimes people who fall into grey areas may feel the need to explain better their experiences, even people who do fall into black/white may like it.
being aro/ace/aroace is a huge part of us because it determines how we see ourselves, the world, how the world sees us and how we interact with the world. if you wanna label yourself only as aromantic/asexual/aromantic asexual, awesome! if you wanna use microlabels, let’s go! if you don’t wanna label yourself at all, it’s totally fine!
that’s totally up to you and how you wanna view and experience your aromantism/asexuality.

asexuality and aromanticism are very different identities that mean very different things. asexuals and aromantics can also share a number of overlapping experiences. these things can coexist.

This week’s obscure aspec label is...
Alicoa
Tumblr media
Alicoa is someone who knows they are on the ace and aro spectrum, but they don’t fit any existing label. It can also be used when the individual can’t figure out which label fits them best.
The sexual-only equivalent is alicosexual. The romantic-only equivalent is alicoromantic.

Why microlabels in the asexual community are great:
Some people just like being more specific about their identity
Not everyone wants to constantly explain their identity
Can make people feel like they belong
Can make people feel better about their sexuality differing from other people under the ace umbrella
Builds a sense of community
Gives people a way to word their sexuality if they struggled to do so before
Others can more easily learn about someone else's experiences
Just makes people feel good
And more!
Microlabels are awesome, don't let others tell you otherwise!!

Is it possible to be pan but have a preference of gender/“see” gender? I just learned about pan vs Omni and I guess Omni fits better but I love the pan flag and colors and more people know about it. Idk it’s a little confusing
Alright, getting on my etymological soap box here.
The point of words is to communicate ideas. They work based off shared understandings that shift through time and between cultures. Most people do not fit entirely into the definition of one word because words are simplifications of concepts and people are complex. Specialized terminology can be a useful shorthand so you don’t have to spend a couple paragraphs describing all the intricacies of a concept every time, but they’re never going to be absolutely completely accurate all the time. Like when you call something ‘red.’ Yeah, it’s pretty much garrenteed whatever it is is not entirely red, it’s probably got some orange or purple or whatever else hues in it, and even those are just categories made up by humans anyways. But calling it red is a workable enough simplification so other people get the gist of what you’re talking about.
If you want to describe yourself as pansexual because it gets the basic idea across to most people, that perfectly fine. If you want to clerify by using the word omnisexual around people who would understand the difference, that’s great too. If you’d rather not, that’s also fine. Nobody is entitled to the complete description of all your feelings and experiences. If them understanding you as pansexual works just fine for you, then go ahead and use that word.
There’s always going to be more precise and accurate microlabels. You can use those if you like, or you can choose not too. Most of the time the way I describe myself is simply “queer as fuck” because it gets the general idea across and I have fun saying it 😎 When I want to be a little more specific I say pan because it lets people know I like everybody. I also percieve gender though, so maybe it’d be a more accurate to describe myself as omnisexual? But I also don’t think the ways I experience attraction are exactly the same as other people so maybe it really ought to be greyomniace? Is that even a word? (Trick question, of course it’s a word cuz I just used it as one and that’s all words are, sounds we string together to represent ideas) I could probably go down the rabbit trail of a hundred different sub labels if I really wanted to get precise about it, but I don’t really care to, and that’s fine. I’ve got a good enough understanding of me, and the terms I use give other people a good enough understanding. Purpose accomplished.

Questions for the Ace Community
It’s been nearly a month since I came out as aroace (specifically bi-oriented aroace), and as a fellow a-spec, I feel it’s important that I learn more about the lesser known micro labels in the community. So, my questions are…
What’s the difference between Fraysexuality and Lithsexuality?: I ask this because their definitions just sound way too similar to me. Fraysexual means having sexual attraction to someone you just met, but then have that attraction fade/disappear after getting to know them, while Lithsexual means having sexual attraction to someone while not wanting those feelings reciprocated. So, what’s the exact difference there?
Reciprosexuality means that you don’t experience sexual attraction to someone unless they find you sexually attractive first, right?: Isn’t that just a small aspect of Demisexuality, or am I missing something there?
How is Abrosexuality considered an Ace label?: Not trying to be exclusive, just curious, because Abrosexuality is supposed to be a sexuality that is fluid and often changes, but…isn’t that technically the same thing as Aceflux? If not, then what’s the difference?
How is Cupiosexual considered an Ace label?: Again, not trying to be exclusive, just curious. Anyway, it says that a Cupiosexual is someone who’s never experienced sexual attraction before, but wants to. Isn’t that technically the same thing as Allosexuality?
Where does consent come into play for Placiosexuality?: Because being Placiosexual means you have no desire to receive sexual acts, but want to perform sexual acts onto others? Is that even a consensual thing, or am I missing something there as well?
Remember, these questions don’t come from a place of malice or exclusion. I just want to get to know my community a little better.

I'm just going to say microlabels are the bomb! It's like a cup of water in the vast ocean of identity. Sometimes, that's all you need🏳️‍🌈

can you do a redesign of the aceflux flag? I'm not a fan of the colors and I'd prefer something a bit closer to the color theme of the asexuality spectrum flag. Thank you!

[Image ID: A five stripe flag with light colors. From top to bottom they go pale blue, light purple, dark pink, dusty reddish-pink, peach. /End ID]
Aceflux flag redesign! Based on the ace-spec flag for the top stripes, and the previous flag for the red theme.

I feel like the ace community is over reliant on micro labels, not at the fault of those using them. It feels like there’s this ever present need to identify yourself with a hyperspecific definition of how you do or don’t feel attraction connected to a word most people haven’t heard of and even fewer can pronounce. If you WANT to use microlabels, then sure, whatever, go ahead. But the second you’re stressing yourself over which label fits you, take a second to wonder why you’re even worrying about it in the first place. At the end of the day, they’re just words, and not having one that fits just right or not having one at all makes you any less aspec.
