3. Mage Orphan who has no relatives/family/home/ or friends to return could stay with College of Enchanters with other mages.

5. New Generations of Mages kids who never have to endure torture and abuses in the circle, they can grow up in a safe and happy environment with their family or with the college.

6. Mages actively participated in society, and they can invent a great many things for Thedas modernization and advancement, remember Zither? He’s a mage and he uses his magic to play in a band, imagine the possibilities of Thedas technology-magic advancement with unrestrained magic, boi based on the newest leak, it seems like Arlathan was a magical cyberpunk empire.

7. As a free citizen, many mages abilities/ skill can be implemented for different kinds of jobs, hey remember Lysas who wanted to be a mage farmer? Agriculture in Thedas could be improved with magic, Medication, and medical studies could be greatly modernized with magic, not to mention fashion, opera/plays, and music, hell even professional chef jobs will be much easier with magic, The inquisitor used telekinesis/spell to fixes broken bridges, and lit a veil fire are another example that magic could be used for mundane stuff and not just for

College of Enchanters definitely would be a steadfast ally for The Inquisition and The inquisitor, and not to mention that the Inquisition new operations area would be in the north/Tevinter, mages would be able to help greatly. 9. With templar order gone forever in southern Thedas, then there will be no more people who are force feed lyrium and suffer from lyrium addiction to the point they become a beggar because they wasted all of their coins for lyrium. 10. So mages now are free, no more circle, then what’s the point of templar or seeker anymore? Actually Seeker, circle and templar are never needed, then how southern Thedas should handle with magic related crime or just crime in general, well I’ts easy, you see mages guard in Tamriel world? You know those guards in Skyrim? Or guard/law enforcer in Warcraft world who use magic? With mages free they also can work as guards

And the chant verses were twisted as a stupid and terrible justification to demonize and enslaved mages and elves in circle towers.

In a nutshell that chant actually said that magic is a gift that should not be used for terrible deeds. But andrastian changed the meaning and twisted their own prophet words to enslave and oppressed southern mages.

The chantry believes about Everything that related to the fade/spirits/ or demon are dangerous and inherently evil, I ALWAYS LAUGHED MY ASS OFF, whenever templar/chantry/andrastian/non mages spouting hateful shits about the fade and spirits, it’s incredibly ironic, because there’s an implication that ALL PEOPLE who were not made by Titans (dwarves was made by titan) were spirits from the fade who ‘created body from the earth’ after they descended to the material world.

Now about Solas and the veil, we might speculate to our heart content about Solas plans and what he might do in the future, but to be honest, truth to be told, NO ONE EXACTLY KNOW what is his actual plan for the evanuris, for the blight, for titans and to tear m down the veil. Humans are Space Orcs “Autopilot”

I know I have done a lot of longer stuff and series related things recently, and since I posted a big one today, I decided to post a traditionally smaller one for all those people who want something nice and short. I hope you like it, for some reason it’s harder to come up with topics for these shorter ones. :)

I have mentioned this before in earlier observations, but I want to focus specifically on the issue today. My argument with current biological scientists of the day is that humans have backup autopilot systems that they run on often and usually without notice, but the results of improper action under an autopilot state can be either deadly or funny. I have compiled a list of the things that humans have done when they are running on these autopilot systems.

· Young crewman working in shipping docks and is given an order by the Captain, young crewman answers, “Yes dad.” Keeps working pauses, and then turns bright red as the crew starts laughing at him.

· Captain and marine speaking over walki-talkies. Standard human etiquette is to finish by saying over. Marine says, “Love you.” Captain responds, “Love you too.” There is silence before ruckus laughter.

· Bridge crew member tasked with shutting down bridge operations for the night, and with shutting everything off accidentally shuts off warp because the light was green, and the lights needed to be red, ends up giving the entire crew whiplash.

· Crewman goes to replace toilet paper in bathroom, ends up throwing entire role of toilet paper into the toilet.

· Crewman attempts to put his rifle in the fridge instead of the milk (just came back from mission and all of them were starving, weapons had not been secured.

· All humans, routinely walking into rooms, forgetting what they were going to do, and then walking back out, and then back in again.

· Crewman has a painting hobby, has cup of paint water, and a cup of coffee. Takes big gulp from paint water cup instead of coffee.

· Captain, returning exhausted from a mission, walks onto deck and goes to take off his shirt thinking he was back in his room. Luckily does not manage to make it through entire process

· Crewman mother of four supplies marines with weaponry, waves at them to have a good day at school as they leave.

· Crewman forgets to put on pants before coming to work, issue was corrected and he was sent back to his bunk for some rest.

· Bridge crew answers phone with, “Welcome to McDonalds how I may take your order.”

· Marine, gets big trey of food after long mission, goes to throw away dirty napkin, ends up throwing away trey of food instead of the napkin. (He looked like he was about to cry).

· Bridge crew member was supposed to look up something on internet, forgets where he is and looks up something inappropriate. Realizes too late.

· Crewman, holding can of open soda and phone in one hand, goes to toss phone onto bed, ends up tossing open soda instead’

· Poured water on waffles instead of syrup

· Captain Ends up petting one of the crewmen instead of the dog.

· Crewman puts on glasses so that she can see so that she can find her glasses.

· Captain panics because he cannot find his phone, is on the phone with his family.

· Crewman accidently sprays airfreshiner on himself instead of deodorant.

· Marine walks into the locker room showers fully dressed after a mission.

I looked into this a little more after hearing about it, and found that humans have definitely noticed this phenomenon, and studied it to determine its purpose. It turns out, that humans are better at well-learned tasks WHEN THEY ARENT THINKING ABOUT THEM. Unlike every other species that have ever existed, human can preform goal oriented tasks without thinking about them, some estimate they spend at least 46%-47% of their time in an autopilot state.

So that means that the captain can potentially fly the ship better when he’s not concentrating on flying the ship.

My question is, what the hell are humans doing when their brain is literally not thinking about the things that they are doing? What do you fill your time with? You know my species would love to be able to do this so that we can think about other things while getting menial tasks done and maybe solve some world problems while we are at it. Humans…. What are humans thinking about? Probably food, or sex. They have all this extra time to be thinking about new ways to help the world, but instead they use all their extra thinking time for useless shit.

Do you know what would happen to the rest of the galaxy if humans ever decided to take all of their powers and just use all of them for progress? No one would have any chance to do anything, the humans would already have thought of it. Luckily, humans are only about 20% motivated to do anything. Its like whoever created the universe was all like, I am going to create a species that is good at everything, and then I am going to make them a bunch of lazy assholes.

Onto Crazy Cat Man- So, as stated, it’s an AU where Fukuzawa adopts Atsushi- I’d say when he’s roughly seven years old? So about a year before Fukuzawa meets Ranpo and establishes the ADA. Atsushi, meanwhile, would’ve been at the orphanage for seven years by then, but by chance (and luck), Byakko busts him out after transforming, at which point they run into Fukuzawa, who takes one look at the Starving Tiger Cub and decides that he’s Keeping Him. Cue Atsushi transforming back a day later, when he runs out of energy thanks to all the neglect and abuse- But he knows Fukuzawa is trustworthy thanks to some faint impressions from Byakko. He’ll still take the community as puppets; however, he is much less forgiving of their disobedience than he used to be due to sheer numbers. He won’t hesitate to weed out the ones who are disobedient, and will often use them as examples for the rest as to what happens when he no longer sees a use for them. (just…YES YES YES YES YES, you are COMPLETELY expendable to him and only his most obedient puppets are MAYBE “immune” to being immediately thrown away and replaced)

He will still glitch out if he’s in a sheer rage, but for the most part, he’s stable and has an actual body, rather than possessing one of the egos or Jack. (The angrier he gets, the more unstable he is and the scarier it is for you because if he grows intangible you are FUCKED. However he WILL possess egos or Jack to fuck with the other egos/Jack if he isnt the one possessed because he thrives off this being one of their worst fears. But he doesnt need their bodies for executing his plans).

His actual powers are string manipulation, electrical manipulation, shapeshifting, possession, and mind control (to an extent).

His strings are often both physical and mental- a physical representation allows him to start to break down a puppet’s spirit and give them a reminder that they are helpless without him (or they were once/are still too weak to resist him), while the mental strings allow him to actually control them through conditioned responses, manipulation/brainwashing, and even mind control and possession. (Once a puppet, always a puppet. ;) Even when the strings are “dropped” he can easily pick them back up with just a few words)

He’ll manipulate people using whatever tactics work best against them based on their personalities. Those who are attracted to power get a taste of it when under his control; those who are disobedient get put through a harsh mix of isolation, torture, and brainwashing; and those who are thirsty get manipulated by touch and false comfort/promises. (This one’s worded just so perfectly, just,,, MMMMMMM)

He doesn’t have an echo chamber BUT he DOES have a pocket universe void type thing that he hid Henrik in during his disappearance. Nobody knows how to get in or out, the SHRED of possibility you can escape is determined in that moment and is not guaranteed to work for everyone or every time you are thrown in here by him.

Each of the egos has something he wants to use them for. We share his purposes for Jackie, Marvin, Chase and Henrik. (Your idea for his need for JJ is heckin Big Brain though :O)

He’s spent the last two years or so studying each ego with fervor. We might have different things he’s studied and some similar ones. He ALSO studies their families to use as leverage/blackmail towards them.

After seeing how the community mocked him after Kill JSE, he decided to switch tactics. He cooled his temper and now presents himself as a cunning, manipulative being that plans for everything and knows exactly what he’s doing. But if manage to draw out his simmering rage, he won’t hesitate to make you suffer. (Sometimes he owns his rage and cruelty proudly, other times he sees way more manipulative gain in being more stable, especially towards thirstier puppets.)

His electrical manipulation allows him to tune into cameras and other electronics the way he would during a partial possession. He can reconfigure settings, watch his puppets through the cameras, track their locations, etc. He can even manipulate tens of thousands of people with a simple little glitch. (He also has tons of monitors and such of his own located all throughout locations he frequents).

His mind control works through eye contact, but with his electrical manipulation, it can work through a screen. (His strings also assist in mind control).

Disobedience. Is. Death. ;) (However highly useful long-time puppets and egos are exempt from this and instead condemned to extensive torture and isolation. Why throw away your most reliable tools if you know you can fix a bug theyre having? ;D)

“What the heck is that?”

In hindsight, for a man who prided himself on always trying to look at things from a bird’s eye view, he probably should’ve foreseen what would happen after.

If you felt the least bit threatened–he would step in. There was no way he’d allow you to feel such doubts and fear when he could do anything about. He was the number two hero for God’s sake–he could do this much for you at least.

You looked prettier without it anyways.

An image of his lips on you skin flashed through his mind and Hawks smiled, just short of starving.

You frowned, reaching up and brushing his hand aside as you touched your own collar. An angry scowl marred your lips and you scoffed. “Some asshole got a little too aggressive at the train station. Think just because my heat’s coming I’m an easy fix? What a load of crap.”

Hawks took two important bits of information from that sentence. Filing one away for his own personal use, he latched onto the other, “You filed a report, didn’t you?”

His wings fluffed out, making him look twice his size. “Accurate descriptions. I’ll find him myself and make sure he doesn’t do a single thing again. I can’t have my cute secretary being bothered on her way home from work.”

“Thanks, hero,” you grinned, shaking your head. “They took him in for questioning. It’s fine, I can take care of myself.” You flashed him a sharper look and he held up his hands placatingly, setting them back down closer to yours. “Just… felt like I should put this on for good measure is all.”

You sneered at the desk, “Since it’s so hard for people to resist an omega in heat. Jerks don’t even think that it’s their fault, always ours.”

Hawks made a mental note to look into the case anyway and see to it personally. His wings drooped a bit, an easy task to make himself appear at ease and inviting. He pushed out with a soothing scent, urging you to relax yourself and he hummed lowly in his throat when he saw your shoulders slacken a bit and your eyes fluttered shut as you inhaled.

“People only see omegas when they want to see them,” you murmured, eyes fluttering open and he watched as you subconsciously reached out with a finger and he curved one wing around for you. Your index finger dragged against one of his contour feathers and Hawks’ low noise of approval increased, bordering a purr. You sighed, his scent curling thickly around the two of you like a protective blanket.

And to the employees skidding to a halt outside your door, a warning.

“That’s all we are,” you scowled. “Nothing more.”

A thoughtful look flickered over your features and you set your coffee down. “You know, you smell oddly good today. Kinda like–”

“I see you.”

You stopped. Your eyes blinked, wide and confused and traveled up to meet his gaze. Hawks reached up, bringing his visor down to hang around his neck. Those sharp eyes pinned you into place and you felt a chill you hadn’t felt in a long time run down your spine. Your throat closed up, senses flaring and you suddenly felt nothing more than a field mouse parting ferns beneath the watchful eyes of something far above you.

Predator.

Though his eyes were sharp, they burned. You felt a flare of warmth along your cheeks and Hawks smiled. A boyish, easy smile that curved against his roguish features. “I see ya.”

Walls rose up and you reminded yourself of the tightness of your collar. “Yeah, yeah, I get it–”

“So let me walk you home from now on,” Hawks said smoothly. Your lost your voice, words tumbling over your lips as you stared and he smiled. “Okay?”

“I can take care–”

“Not to take care of you,” Hawks shook his head, hand settling atop yours when did that get there and his fingers brushed against your wrist, “to keep me company. I’ve been missing you.”

“But–”

“And from now on,” his other hand had already set down the second coffee. You were still, lost in those swirling, engulfing eyes as his fingers curved around your collar. They brushed below your chin, tilting your head just a bit to the side and Hawks’ lips curved into a sharper grin.

Hungry.

You felt the collar loosen and a soft click resounded through your office. The weight of your collar slipped from your neck and onto the floor with a quiet thud. Hawks dragged a finger along the thin column of your neck and his scent washed over you, comforting, sweet, powerful and your normally witty and quipped remarks died on your tongue as his wings fanned out and curved over both of you.

Hawks leaned forward and the sun turned his eyes molten.

“You won’t need that anymore.”

Do you like the Evil Within 2?

Yeah! Certainly not as much as the first one (i was not immune to being sad they left out fan favorites Jojo and Ruvik's Cube)

The rest of this post is me rambling about things i didnt like about the game, and then things i did like (most of my issues are how they treat the female characters tbh)

Its missing kind of the action-noir-gone-horrifically-wrong feel of the first game. The scare factor also suffers bc our player character has been through this before, hes a veteran at dealing with this crazy shit, it doesnt phase him anymore and by extension it doesnt phase the player. They really like tripled down on the Evil Corporation thing and both the intrigue and horror suffer for it.

This game did not drink its respect women juice (the first one didnt really either, case in point: Everything About Kidman) Sebastian is surrounded by 5+ female characters and only 2 of them survive (and one of them is his 7 year old daughter hes spent the whole game trying to rescue... and yet they never bothered to give her any kind of characterization or agency. A highly empathetic and supernaturally powerful little girl in a monster-infested hellscape?? HELLO???? Lily really had the potential to be the most interesting, sympathetic, and complex character--especially as she slowly lost her innocence--in the WHOLE GAME, but she was just sort of relegated to Plot Device McGuffin) The rest of the female supporting cast are killed off for Sebastian's Man Pain. In fact, THIS ENTIRE GAME IS CENTERED AROUND SEBASTIAN'S MAN PAIN. Torrez is a walking stereotype, shes literally just Vasquez from Aliens. Hoffman was the most likeable and believeable, except when it Turns Out She Was In Love With Liam Or Whatever (psst, guess what, i dont care. Also O'neal was kind of a dick anyway? I dont care x2)

And you know who i SUPER dont care about? Bland-White-Bread-And-Mayo-Sandwich Myra. Where's the no-nonsense firecracker of a police lieutenant Sebastian married? Not here, thats for sure. Her entire personality is "mother" and "worries about stressed-out husband". We got more characterization of Myra in seb's jornals from the first game, where she never even made a physical appearance! Horror media does this SO MUCH, women are either A. Sexy Lamp B. Hurts Men (Sexily) C. Mother or D. Innocent Virgin. It sucks. Do better.

The story lacked the "digging up old buried memories" and "theres more to this than meets the eye" of the first game. It felt too...... Straightforward. Everyone told Sebastian the truth. EVERYTHING WAS EXACTLY WHAT IT SEEMED. It all felt too simple, too easy, like there SHOULDVE been something else beneath the surface. And yet there wasnt. (I watched markipliers playthrough and i loved his theory that Kidman was actually Lily. It had such potential. Kidman's entire resume for the police station was fabricated, who's to say the rest of her past wasnt fabricated as well? It would retcon a lot of stuff and like 80% of her backstory from the DLC, but you know games like this arent above retconning important shit, and at least it wouldve been sacrificed for something with actual intrigue. Maybe it wouldnt even retcon anything! Consider: tiny Lily is taken by Evil Corporation and dropped off in a non-nurturing environment that would lead her to become the kind of person who would willingly join & work for an organization like Mobius. At least wouldve been a nice excuse for why Kidman and Lilys face models looked so similar... other than... yknow.... "WomEN ARe hArD tO DRaWwwwwee")

Okay okay ive been ranting for long enough. It probably makes it sound like i kinda hate this game, but i dont! It certainly doesnt hold the same place in my heart as the first one (which i still have very glaring issues with lmao Kidman deserved WAAAAAAY better), but i do like it! It brings back salty, grizzled, tsundere Sebastian Castinellos. It brings back spooky monsters that kill you dead. It brings back having a fun theatrical over-the-top villain who takes himself a litte too seriously.

I love Stefano. Probably not in the way some other fans do, but i love him as a ridiculous theatrical over-the-top villain. He sucks! And i love that he sucks! I love him BECAUSE he sucks! Hes terrible and exaggerated and completely up his own ass and ITS GREAT. He isnt as ACTUALLY THREATENING as Ruvik was (even in his bad assassin's creed cosplay. I could go on and on and on about why Ruvik is simultaneously a ridiculous AND frightening antagonist and how much i love it but uh..... maybe later) but hes such a FUN villain! Hes the kind of pretentious art snob shitheel i cannot STAND irl, but in this game i LOVE to HATE him. Hes just SO over-the-top you kinda wonder if he actually subscribes to the pretentiousness he spouts, or if hes just being Exceptionally Extra.

The other villains? Theodore was.... forgettable. His monsters were forgettable. (Its like how i completely forgot that Frank Manera was a character in Whistleblower for like... 5 years lmao i guess this game also kinda followed that "having multiple named/characterized antagonists in one game" thing that Outlast did) Myra, i just didnt care. Her final design was kinda cool, i liked the red clusters of insect eyes. Her monsters werent really gross enough to be memorable. The only reson theyre gross at all is bc they kinda look like theyre made of semen. (I checked the wiki and apparently Myra's white goo is "psychoplasm" and her monsters lost 99% of their gross factor. I just dont care.) The Administrator literally just looked like a 3D human model of Maxwell from dont starve, and i have to laugh every time i see him. Hes not terribly threatening, all he does is threaten characters to work faster and doesnt actually follow through on those threats. He doesnt even make fun threats like HABIT or anything. He thinks hes so powerful and ominous that his mere presence will frighten the player but hes just kinda all bark and no bite. Hes The Big Bad Company Man so you know hes gonna get whats coming to him, and you know Kidmans gonna be the one to do it to him, so hes not even that much of a threat. Hes whatever.

Stefano definitely got all of the coolest monsters. Many Arms Buzzsaw Lady was terrifying and i love her. And OBSCURA was just *Chef's Kiss* Anima was cool, she kinda looked like a mix of Laura and Samara. The Harbingers were neat, but really only bc ive got a thing for gas masks. The rest of the monsters werent really unique or weighty/threatening enough to be memorable. Now the first game is a fucking TREASURE TROVE of unique monsters *muah* you got Sadist, Sentinel, Keeper, Amalgam, Heresy, Laura, Shigyo, the Twins, Alter Egos, and im probably forgetting some!! But holy FUCK!!!!! And if we're includong the DLC?? MOTHER FUCKING SHADE. SPOTLIGHT LADY. LIGHT WOMAN. SEXY LEGS. Whatever you call her, i fucking love her. Her design is so simple. Helmet. Sheet. Legs. Her voice? Unnerving as hell. Love it. (Also i just personally love the diving helmet. Also like you know how a lot of games have a spotlight mechanic where you have to avoid the light and if it lands on you, you're fucked? LET'S MAKE AN ENTIRE MONSTER OUT OF THAT. She's PERFECT.) Oh and also those weird crawling exploding dudes. They made gross sounds and it was great. (Tbh Keepers still probably my favorite, if only for horny reasons)

TATIANA HOW HAVE I NOT FUCKING TALKED ABOUT TATIANA. Shes like the ONE female character that i fucking LOVE in the sequel. I love how they finally gave her a personality, and that personality is literally just "fuck you, Sebastian" Oh GOD its great shes SO FUNNY. I just.... god i love Tatiana lmao. I love how she makes you kinda uncomfortable too, like she knows something, but she wont tell you bc youre stupid. I didn't like the kind of "all-knowing guide" thing they did to try and make her creepy (like she's a "guide" but then also turns around and is like "no i wont tell you what you need to know bc you """have to discover it on your own""" or whatever") it serves no purpose since she never gave you any actual information, and it didn't succeed in making her creepier, all it did was frustrate me. She was at her creepiest when she IMPLIED she was doing something behind the scenes or knew something you didn't know and then didn't elaborate (not REFUSING to elaborate, just... stopping talking and leaving the statement to hang in the air, like the "getting her nails done" and "its been a long time, detective" and the "now what makes you say that" from the first game) and she was at her funniest when she was interacting with Sebastian from the sidelines, her snide little comments and sarcastic clapping cracked me the fuck up. Tatiana not treating Sebastian seriously was a fantastic touch for a game that otherwise would probably take itself so seriously it would double back around to being silly. Without Tatiana, it would've been just another male-centric gun-toting "survival horror" game, and for the most part, it was just that. She was definitely a much-needed source of slightly derisive comedy and a definite high-point for me, even if they didn't so a great job of making her creepy or fulfilling her "purpose."

Oh I also really love the COLORS in TEW2. The first game fell into the trap of having the colors be totally washed out that a lot of horror stuff does, but it also kind of worked for it. Especially with the color pallette of our main villain and how the whole thing was His World. The saturation of the colors in the second game is a breath of fresh air and gorgeous to look at, and you can even see the color motifs of the game change with each new villain: the game starts out with Stephano has lots of blues and purples and dark reds, when Theodore takes over we get bright orange and yellow contrasted with black and brown, and in the climax with Myra the game goes back to having washed out colors and white (and with her villain design? Let's face it: they were kinda just trying to do Ruvik again) We did get portions that were still kind of wahed out whites and greens and greys, but it wasnt the ENTIRE game, even the big blood-and-brains splatterhouse sections of the first game kinda had their colors weirdly muted for that "Horror Aethetic."

In conclusion, i do like the evil within 2, but i also had a lot of problems with it. And i complain about these problems because i like the game and know it couldve done better, tried harder, and been a LOT more than it was (the wasted character potential is my real overarching pet peeve, probably becuase i loved the characters in the first game, and character development is kind of my whole jam) . But all in all, it was still a fun monster-zombie romp with at least one entertaining villain and fun-to-look-at designs and environments. It wasn't character or horror or even REALLY story driven in the way I know it COULDVE been, but i still had a fun time and enjoyed myself.
