One piece of advice I will always give to new/beginner witches: try it. If it works, it works. If it doesn't, it doesn't.

You don't have to ask other witches if they think you should, if they think it would be a good idea.

Building a practice requires trial and error. You can't avoid trying things out and figuring things out on your own. If you're always seeking permission from others, then how are you going to build something that's yours?

Today, I want to talk to yall about the power and secrets behind menstruation. 🔥🩸🔥

We have ~ 4 cycles according to what our feminine body is (subconsciously) doing for us:

- You menstruate around the New Moon - White Moon Cycle - it mirrors the Moon and Earth Cycles, signifying the woman is in her Mother phase, which can be (a mother) to herself, others, her position in society or that she wants to get pregnant / is getting ready to have children. Can be starting a family (whatever family means to her), raising others (up) or nurturing. It is the ++++ common cycle. Ovulation happens around the Full Moon.

Energy is magnified through the whole cycle because the ovulation happens during the Full Moon 🌕, which is Earth’s most fertile time.

At this point in time, it overall means pouring more energy, love and care into yourself and investing resources in yourself, so you are healthily present in the world. Whereas in the past the tendency has been to pour outwards.

Through generations, White Moon women were favoured by the patriarchy because in most cases, they were focused outwards, in men and children as well.

- You menstruate around the Full Moon - Red Moon Cycle - associated with power, self-development, growth, creativity, learning, teaching, business, mentorship, leadership and community.

You ovulate around the New Moon.

Through time it has been more consistent, it is very focused on women pouring inwards, so they have a lot to offer outside (because they release - ovulate - when it is most potent to reap the fruits of manifestations - Full Moon). It is associated with priestesses, healers, witches, medicine women, that were punished and ostracized for this cycle too. (There were conventions in the past that most do not know about, even about the occasions to menstruate that were considered to vilify or not). It is also associated with powerful potent sexual energy and power. Overall a very powerful and recharging cycle to have, that faces some opposition (like in Astrology harsh aspects) by going against the natural cycle of the Moon, but with incredible benefits.

- You ovulate in the Waxing Phase (New Moon -> Full Moon) - Pink Moon Cycle - it usually means you are in a transitional period in your life, or know that the life you see in front of you is transforming before your eyes will change for you (it is coming from darkness, New Moon, to light, Full Moon, from setting seeds of intention, New Moon, to reaping the fruits of your labour, Full Moon). It can happen for example when you are sick, going back to your strenght and power or, when there is a resting period in your life or stagnancy, coming back to vitality and greatness - you are coming out of the shadows.

- You ovulate in the Waning Phase (Full Moon -> New Moon) - Purple Moon Cycle - it means as well as the Pink Moon Cycle, a transitional period in your life going from aliveness to darkness, which is not necessarily bad, heavy or shocking, means that perhaps you are needing inside of you to rest or to explore and go into your shadow self to regain your new ground and self into shining a new light. Both of these cycles are, nonetheless, transitory.

- You ovulate alternating between the New Moon and the Full Moon - Wise Woman Cycle - this woman gets and gives herself what she needs, getting the best of both worlds, on her own natural cycle. She is outwards and she is inwards, she is Mother Earth, nurturing, but also a complete, introspective, powerful and developed woman. She sees and connects with her light and sweetness, as well as with her darkness and feminine magic. She is indeed, a Wise Woman.

- You just have an irregular menstruation - Seed Cycle - means most of the times the body is regulating the hormones, even through years, meaning many times the environment or the inner world of the woman was not the most suitable or healthy, and so, the body is working on balancing it out for her. It also happens when using contraceptive methods like the pill and getting off of it. Your body is helping you get happy and balanced hormones but by its irregularity, signaling to you that you should invest more in your healing, vitality, good practices, slowing down, listening within to what is happening, what are you feeling, what are your needs, what is the truth in your thoughts and in your environment. It wants you to take better care of yourself and allowing a new sacred space and time for you, to rebuild and gain a new self.

So I went to the store today and bought a pack of playing cards. When I got home and opened the pack, they looked like normal cards. Once I shuffled them, though, all of them turned into the same card: The Tower.

All except for the King of Hearts, which, as you know, is the one with the sword in his head.

I don't know what this means, but it certainly isn't good.

The Tower is...not a great one. Something's trying to get your attention, and it looks like it worked. Partially anyway.

I’m trying very hard to take this slow i swear but here’s what’s happened:

I got into witchcraft because I realized I could use it to explore my connection with Archangel Micheal, which I noticed from signs throughout my life. I did my first jar, and then did my first tarot pull. I decided to focus it better to write my question down, since I didn’t have husical cards, and used salt to cleanse the area, with clove oil and cinnamon . I drew 3. got a ‘yes’, two cards speaking of long connections and the right place and time, and the third was about new connections. The next day I did a draw for an experience I had several years ago when during meditation and inner self work I had an experience where I spoke to something I describe as a cluster of stars who told me to get things together and get back in touch. It identified itself as Ophiuchus. I don’t have the oil or cinnamon so I write it down on a card and decorate the back with symbols and colors, the snake, stars,and Ophiuchus’. I used purple for power and clarity, orange for new beginnings, and blue for honesty. My question is if I have a connection. I pull three cards first, all ‘yes’. I pull another three, all ‘yes’. New connections and risks and destinations. I pull for Archangel Micheal’s feeling on this, three cards and a fourth one after, all ‘yes’ cards about unity and relationships and journey. I pulls. Fourth, it’s my zodiac card, The Lovers.

so not really sure what to do that. I’m doing research and I haven’t done any pulls or anything since. I’d like to dedicate something to Archangel Micheal soon but I’m saving that for alter while I do little spells and research a lot.

I'm glad you're back. I've been a quiet dabbler in my own craft and I get a lot of great information and tips from you.

So, how are you? Taking care of yourself? Making sure you drink water? Eating regularly?

As for a witch-related ask, how are you doing getting back into things and relating with your craft again? I've been meaning to work on reconnecting with my tarot deck after a move and time apart, and I'm still not sure where to start again with her.

Aw this is so sweet! I've been doing pretty well in the self care department. I've made a lot of good, new habits lately. Thank you for asking. Know I'm just a message away if you wanna ask anything and hopefully learn something else. I'm gonna be honest with you, my functioning as an adult relies on a specific structure of reminders and notes. This doesn't apply well to my interests or all parts of my practice, like the way I approach tarot, so it's definitely tricky and an understandable question.

How to Get Yourself Back Into Tarot/To Do Tarot More

My approach to getting back into it is just gonna be start anywhere. You could do a few rounds of sleeping near your deck or keeping it with you, cleansing and charging, asking it some refresher questions, and I think that's solid advice. That's more the "proper" way to do it. You could also go for a good cleansing and ask whatever comes to mind. The benefits of this will be not getting overwhelmed and getting the job done. The good plan is the plan you will actually do. The good plan is the plan that will get you to do tarot again. If a big routine sounds appealing, do that, if jumping in sounds easier, do that. You might ask yourself how you get yourself to do tarot more than that, because I would be. My suggestion would unfortunately go back into that realm of that more solid advice, try pulling a card for the day every morning around another habit you already do like brushing your teeth. It could be about the day or something specific or change each day. Once again, do whatever actually works for you. That's all that comes to mind! I hope it helps 💕

2024 Get-It-Together Guide

Hey all, Happy New Years! As I’m reflecting on my own year, why don’t we challenge ourselves. Here’s the 2024 GITG

•Daily checkin. Periodically check in throughout the day, allowing yourself to breathe and debriefing at night

•Listening to yourself. Drop the drama in your life! Is your job stressing you out? DROP IT. Is someone toxic? DROP IT. Money and relationships come and goe but your mental health is and always will be your #1 priority

•Create a structure in your everyday life and stick to it. I personally feel like my life is chaotic, really structuring out time for resolutions and goals can help us achieve them

•Shut down negative thoughts. I should practice what I preach but truly, be kinder to yourself. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt for once, treat yourself, be on your own team

•Do things your future self will thank you for. Don’t feel like washing your face? Your future self will feel more refreshed if you do! Unmotivated to eat? Your future self could enjoy a nice home cooked (or takeout) meal if you let them!

• Live more. Life is too short and it’s never guaranteed. Don’t live in fear or live for others opinions. You want to look back at your life and be satisfied you put yourself out there and made amazing memories doing it

I have been a fortune teller for some time now. A charlatan, if you will. But today was strange. As I was clearing up, I accidentally dropped my tarot deck. Before I had dropped it, it had every card once. But as I picked up the cards, each one displayed The Tower. Every last card, The Tower. A charlatan I may be, but this was ominous to say the least.

I appreciate that you were able to write this out from 1897.

That is definitely not ideal. Tarot is an important tool for us at the Office, and our decks go through regular spiritual disinfection to avoid things like this.

Can you do a few more readings and see if you can replicate it? The Tower is not one to mess around with. We can connect you to some witches in your area if it's that bad. East of the Mississippi it's the New Salem Coalition, and west of it it'll probably be LA's Andromeda Starlight.

How to Discard White Sage?

I am very new to learning and I am hoping to eventually do a cleansing of my home when I feel comfortable. I went to a local metaphysical store and purchased a white candle and was told to use white sage.

However, it was brought to my attention that white sage belongs to a closed practice so now I'm unsure what to do with it. I do not wish to burn it. I thought about using it merely as a decoration... but I'm not sure that would even be appropriate?

Should I bury it to return it to the earth or just throw it away? What do I do with it?
