Accountability Buddy Search!
I am currently on the search for an accountability buddy! Someone I can use to keep me on track with my academic goals, life admin goals, language study goals, and whatever specific things I'd want to accomplish! I also would love to help someone else stay accountable with their academic/language/life admin goals!
editing to add: I have found my accountability buddies!!! Thank you to everyone who reached out to me, and I look forward to working with my new accountability buddies! I recommend for everyone who thinks it to be useful to do do themselves, because I can already feel how good this is going to be for me, and hopefully for them too!
Here are some of my goals:
regularly studying spanish/Japanese
regularly completing homework on time
regularly studying for/preparing for exams/quizzes
sticking to my routines consistently
maintaining a healthy, productive balance between school-work-life
regularly meeting my personal goals (reading, joirnaling, working out, etc)
Here are some things about me:
I am a 21 year old female
I am a junior in university, but 2nd year of studying my major
My major is Human Nutrition/Dietetics, and I am also minoring in Psychology and Exercise Science
My current courses I'm trying to stay on top of are General Chemistry II, Emotions (psychology), and Medical Terminology
I want to begin regularly studying Japanese and Spanish again
I want to begin reading, journaling, and sticking to consistent routines as well as keep academically inclined.
My Preferences in Accountability Buddy:
Female, 19-24 years of age (no minors or males, please.)
preferably in college/university, but it also doesn't matter if you independently study languages
also has some academic/productive oriented goals, or just goals that you'd like to be kept accountable on
has a not super personal way of contact for the accountability check ins (GroupMe, Discord, and eventually maybe a way to video call once we get more comfortable with each other, but of course, safety first! and tumblr inbox works too, but I feel discord or groupme might be a little easier long term)
hopefully willing to stay accountability buddies for a decent amount of time (maybe til end of my semester? mid may?)
willing to lay out or goals, accountability check in schedule, and open to communication with respect to each of our time zones/schedules/commitments, etc
conversationaly fluent/fluent in English or English first language at the least. It's the only language I currently speak so it would be easier to work with someone that speaks the same language
If anyone is interested in having/being an accountability buddy, please send me an ask or message me! Please be respectful of my preferences tho, I really do want to be safe with something like this because with the internet, you never know. I look forward to possibly meeting/working with/becoming acquaintances with you guys!!
ps. please don't be put off by the aesthetics of my blog, I can assure you all, I am a typical, 21 year old college student who works an on campus job, struggles with sleep and caffiene, and is constantly staying on top of my grades and classes while also worrying if I'm doing enough to keep my GPA at a good spot. this blogs aesthetics are purely for fun and artistic expression. If I wasn't such an aesthetic-loving person, I'd post my own study type photos but I'd feel so less-than if I posted like, a non cohesive plethora of photos I take. I'm not good at taking photos

✨️My Fall 2023 Semester Goals✨️
Let's see if I can meet them!!!
1. I'd like to make the deans list! At my school, this means that I need to maintain a GPA of 3.4 or higher throughout the semester.
2. I want to meet the advisor for the social work program I'm applying to for my bachelors.
3. I want to start having bi-weekly pride club meetings.
4. Step out of my shell and make one new friend this semester! (This can be hard with my social anxiety on top of being Autistic)
5. Make a self-care routine and take care of my mental and physical health better.
6. Try to get into the honors society on my campus by the end of the semester.
7. Maintain a B+ or higher in all four of my classes.
Looking forward to having a good semester!!!

Fall 2023 Semester Goals
Tumblr media
so... my classes don't actually start for another few weeks but i'm so antsy to get going with school that i figured i'd get my goals out of the way to help keep myself accountable when i start losing motivation
academic:
hand in at least 75% of assignments a minimum of one day before the due date
complete an average of 30 minutes of study per day
complete 75% of discussion posts within two days of assignment
complete all assigned readings in the week they are assigned
languages:
watch a minimum of 2 go! billy korean beginner course videos a week
한국어로 닌텐도 게임하기 1h/week
learn vocabulary to describe feelings and use them in writing or conversation
self-care/improvement:
ask questions!! get clarification or further learning by asking the teacher a question at least once this semester
build a samhain altar and create personal rituals by october 31st
get to and from a hair appointment alone (ik- random, but public transit scares me lmao)
do at least 1 nice thing for myself a week (such as having a bubble bath, going to bed early, or treating myself to takeout every once in a while) as well as having 1 rest day a week (these can occur on the same day but are not mutually exclusive)
stop skin picking (turn mirrors and/or find physical barriers to prevent the habit)

Did I Achieve my Fall 2022 Educational Goals?
In short, no. Absolutely not. I had five goals going into the Fall 2022 semester.
Make some new friends
Do well!
4.0s in at least 4 classes
Improve my Spanish and ASL
Succeed in my non-academic endeavors (big girl job, clubs, and mentorship/RA roles)
So, let’s recap how I did in all of them.
I made a few new friends actually! More importantly than that, I strengthened some of the healthy, existing friendships I had.
While I did well last semester, I didn’t perform to my standards. A lot of that was on mental health issues, but still.
Ok, so I took 7 classes last semester. Technically, I got a 4.0 in four of them, except that one of my classes changed to Pass/Fail halfway through the semester. So I didn’t get any GPA points towards that, just the credits it was worth.
I definitely improved my Spanish. My SP-102 class was one of the ones I 4.0ed. As for ASL, I didn’t really touch it. I hope to resume it in some way/shape/form this year.
This one is where it really falls apart. I had to quit my big girl job after two weeks because I couldn’t handle it. I did really good in my clubs, but not as good as I had hoped. I did very well in my mentorship role. I even got an award for it! They said I was the Most Inclusive and Attentive mentor. My RA role was a shitshow. I only had three residents, then they decided they were selling my building. After spending a month alone in my original building, I got moved into a new building with an RA who wanted nothing to do with me and refused to work with me. I wasn’t able to hold programs, since I spent two months in limbo and my new co-RA didn’t even try to introduce me to residents or include me in her programs. That, on top of my mental health crisis, made it very hard to do anything.
So, I guess I achieved a few goals? But not on my terms, the way I had originally envisioned I do it. I think this semester will be better. I hope this semester will be better.

2022-2023 school year goals :)
(i’m posting them here to hold myself accountable)
actual school goals:
- take!!! lots!!! of!!! notes!!! i will have mandatory notes for AP world anyway, so i might as well do them for every class.
- get at least an 85 (mid B) for every class. all As would be nice but that’s probably not possible
- make study guides for tests!! it might be time consuming, but it will be worth it
- don’t wait until 9 or 10 every night to do homework. i wanna do it right when i get home if possible. if i have a break between school and rehearsal, i’ll do it then
- i’m gonna take my laptop to school because the school chromebooks are weird
- get a planner and actually use it. this probably falls under general goals but idc
- i wanna really utilize my study hall, especially during tech and show week
theatre goals:
- i’m gonna do literally everything i can to make my director like me so i have a better chance of getting good roles in the coming years. i may not see immediate results with that, but it will hopefully help in the long run.
- be happy regardless of what role i get. the show will be fun no matter if i’m a lead or ensemble. i will put in 100% no matter what
- make friends with everybody. the seniors, the new freshman, anyone.
- if i have a larger amount of lines, work on memorizing them as soon as i get the script in my hands. use the quizlet strategy again
fitness/health goals:
- continue to work out as often as possible. going to the gym frequently might not be a possibility, so lift weights at home, go for walks, bike rides, etc. just stay relatively in shape
- try to continue eating cleaner. more fruits and cooked things, all that.
- go to bed at 10:30 at the absolute latest on school nights. that will probably change during show weeks, but stick to it the rest of the time. 10:30pm - 6:00 am is roughly 7 and a half hours.
language goals (assuming i get into ASL 2)
- practice for at least ten minutes a day outside of class. review vocab, learn new vocab, work on a song, go on asl.ms or something, anything to further language development.
- ask questions. ask how to sign new things, ask for more practice, anything that comes to mind.
- ask JD (past asl teacher that i’m close with’s pseudonym) about becoming an interpreter, the NIC, ASLPI, all of it.
mental health goals:
- put my mental health above all else. above schoolwork, theatre, any of these other goals. if i’m not where i need to be, none of this other stuff is worth doing.
- advocate for any accommodations i may need, no matter what. i never hold myself accountable for this, and it’s time to do that. i don’t care if i’m too scared. i don’t care if i think im annoying or inconveniencing a teacher, because by not getting what i need to be successful, it’ll just create unintentional problems for everyone.
- stay where my feet are. i don’t need to stress over the future right now. college is still far away, i need to focus on my priorities now so i can be ready for then.
- read more. it just makes me happier :)
lastly, social life goals:
- hang out with friends if i feel up for it. i feel like i never see people outside of school, so i want to change that.
- talk. to. everybody. learn about them, their interests, their hobbies, anything. it’ll make bad classes feel less awful.
- make at least one new, good friend :)
