metal gear solid v is like one of the most haunted ghost games of all time. every character in it is haunted by ghosts, and also a ghost, sometimes by and of things that haven’t happened yet. and they’re ghosts in a metaphorical sense but also sometimes in an extremely literal sense.

𝐑𝐄𝐐𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐓: okay so i’ve thought about sending requests your way and my mind came up blank except for a reversed-roles kinda thing for lockwood & co, in which that scene from the last episode where lucy goes to george to save him from the crazy lady (forgot her name) with the bone mirror, instead it’s reader but she doesn’t handle it as well as lucy and pass out or something (your choice, i just want angst) and although lockwood has been shot in the shoulder, he doesn’t care. all he cares about is if reader is gonna be okay 👀 (i just want some good ol’ angst written by you so i can die a little bit inside but also thrive in reading your writing 🥺🫶🏼)
𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆(𝐒): angst, some fluff at the end

You didn’t quite know how you three had managed to end up locked in an underground cellar with Pamela. You couldn’t so much as put the fault onto George. He had put his sole faith and trust into their supposed friendship. He was too swayed by what he thought were good intentions, only to realize they were nothing but sick twisted purposes. Purposes that were going to put so many others at risk.
“Please!” George begged. “Lucy, don't he’ll kill you.”
“Don’t you dare look, and whatever happens this wasn’t your fault. This was my choice.”
“Lucy, don't you dare.” You groan after having been jostled and shoved to the ground as George had.
Lucy just turned to you, her features softening as she whispered with pure sincerity and concern in her voice. Her soft-as-the-sky eyes glowed in the darkness like twin lanterns and with a little sigh she replied, “…I have to.”
"No. You don't. We all get to make choices, and I'm making mine now." You walk up to her and hit her with the hilt of your rapier.  You hold your breath as she falls unconscious. You're quick to drag her over to George where he remains on the ground. "S-Shield her eyes, and whatever happens...don't look." You nod firmly at George.
George didn’t hesitate, shielding Lucy from the horror unfolding before them, but couldn’t help looking back to you. He seemed both concerned and terrified at the same time. “Lockwood won't like this!"
"He'll get over it!" You take your place in front of the mirror. Eyes flickering back and forth between Pamela and the covered mirror.
The air around you feels thick and oppressive. You feel sick and dizzy as the sense of impending doom and horror fills your body with a paralyzing chill. You look at the mirror, at Pamela, and the thought of what is to come sears across your mind.
You take a deep breath. With shaking hands, you await her response. “Tell me everything you see, what you feel, and what you hear.” She yanks a pin out from her hair. Then points the recorder towards you. “Every detail.” She says as a final word, then yanks back the cloth. You turn around immediately, feeling a rush of air and suction claw on the back of your hair and shoulders. “Look, look, look. Damn you, look!” Pamela exclaims.
You gasp as you reach forward, grabbing the silver-glass jar, the skull, and hold it out behind you to look at the mirror in your place.
"If you can talk to it, tell me what it says.”
You groan, closing your eyes tightly, trying to fight off the urge to look into the horrid mirror. You growl as you yell back to the damned skull. "Talk...Take it all in and tell your master what you see." Lockwood and George, even Lucy had been astonished when you all discovered that you could also communicate and hear the type three ghost. Your heart plummets as you hear the skull begin to wail.
“No, no, no, this isn’t right! Something’s changed!” Your breath shudders upon the information he has given you. “They’re trapped!”
“What? What? What is he saying? Speak, girl Speak!” Pamela grips her recorder tighter.
“It says something is wrong!”
“More!”
“It’s a trap. We have to destroy it!” You begin to whimper as it all grows to be too much for you to handle. You hold your breath as glimpses of your past flash in your mind. Stills of your parents before your tenth birthday. Finding them ghost-locked after coming home from Fittes. Horrid wretched flashes and faces of previous visitors you and the boys were called on to take a job about. Being pinned by a type two. Your breath grows cold upon being nearly ghost-locked yourself. But the one vision that struck you the most, that made you lose your grip on making it through this was seeing yourself hold Anthony in your arms as his eyes were milky, his brown irises glazed over white and still. You could see yourself crying and begging him to come back to you. Your eyes shot upon with a startle. You could feel yourself loosen your hold on the jar before you took it down with you to the ground. All you could hear was a faint yell of your name before you slipped into the dark void that clouded your mind.
“Y/n!” George hadn’t even hesitated to get onto his feet to tackle down the stand holding the mirror.
“No!” Pamela cries out. George ran back over to where you lay unconscious. His hands were still tied behind his back but he still attempted to check for your pulse. He visibly relaxed as he came to feel your pulse thump against his skin.
“You’re alright, you’re alright now...Lockwood will come soon and it’ll all be over soon.” He flinched, looking over his shoulder as he heard shuffling to his right. Lucy groaned, clutching at her head as she pushed herself off the ground.
“Blood hell...” She complained, but one look at your unmoving body had her scooting closer to the two of you. She reached forward, brushing a few strands out from your face. Her palm resting against your cheek. “Is she...” She raised a brow at George. Thinking the worst of the worst. Your death at the hands of Pamela.
“No. She’s alright. Assumed the mirror struck her energy a bit. It was too much for her to handle.”
“Lockwood is gonna-”
“Kill us.”
“I was going to say put her on house arrest but sure let’s assume the worst reactions possible.
“Before we arrived. He practically begged her to run off and call DEPRAC. She was top priority...” Lucy muttered to herself thinking back on what Lockwood debriefed before they came to face Pamela.
“Top priority?” George questioned. “Y/n?”
“Before we left, he mentioned how the mirror came close to being our second priority. I asked him out of curiosity what the first priority was. He didn’t answer me.” Lucy looks down at you with a new sense of understanding. The bond you and Lockwood shared was one like no other. Two souls brought together by unfathomable circumstances. Orphaned from the same cause, the same path that lead your loved ones to be unalive. To halves that made a whole. Who understood what was put at risk every day you stepped out into London’s busy and haunted streets. You both knew the sacrifices that were the hardest to make, but you both took them on over Lucy and George having to. The little family you both found yourselves, you put your whole lives and trust into. You were everything to one another, and that was a risk in itself. “Lockwood is going to have our heads...” She breathed out in realization.
“I think he knows that already.”
“What?” George gestured behind her with a grimace. Lockwood was standing a few feet away, clutching his shoulder. His eyes rotated from Lucy and George and onto your unmoving form.
“Shit...” Lucy swallowed nervously as he let his rapier clatter to the floor.
“Is she?” Lockwood swallowed his words down, not having the stomach to contemplate whether you remained with them or if you had finally joined alongside your parents and his. Lockwood took a few more agonizing steps towards your motionless form, his expression looking both exhausted and afraid. His fingers reach out but fall back down to his sides. He was only thankful you couldn’t see him tremble, as he held back on the urge to break down crying.
“She’s okay...swear it.” Lucy nodded, a timid smile on her face as her eyes watered.
Lockwood's eyes began to water from the sight. For an agent, death would be nothing more than a common occurrence. However, this was a different scenario, as a few tears streamed down his face. Before he could take another step forward, George finally free from his zip ties, carefully lifted you in a gentle motion, trying to prop you upwards. Lockwood hurried forward then, hands trembling as he grabbed your shoulders and pulled you into a seating position. Your head lulling sideways at an uncomfortable angle. Lockwood's eyes darted all across your form, desperately hoping to find some kind of response from you.
"She took on the mirror...It was too much for her to handle. She fainted from it." George filled him in on what occurred.
Lockwood's breaths grew out of rhythm as he kept your body in place, trying to keep his hands from shaking. His fingers trembled at a furious pace as he placed his hand against your neck, needing to feel for himself for a pulse. To reassure him that you weren’t taken from him. It was a moment that felt like hours had passed. He spoke. “Did she look at it?” They could hear the panic in his voice.
"N-No. She used the skull." Anthony glanced over to where the type three ghost swirled around, displaying its very much livelihood. He wished the same for your state.
Lockwood's sigh of relief was palpable in the atmosphere. He withdrew his head from your shoulder and pressed his head gently against yours, his eyes closing shut. The only thing keeping him from losing it was the slight thump against his fingertips on your neck, it had his entire demeanor relaxing. Though it didn't calm his nerves. "She'll be alright," he promised George, who seemed to be on the verge of panic himself. "She'll be quite alright." He muttered softly as though the tiniest change in his tone would cause him to fall apart.
Lucy was at a crossroads, her instincts screaming at her how badly she wanted to rush into Lockwood's arms to comfort him at this moment, but she had her priorities straight. You had taken her place. This wasn’t out of the ordinary for you and it angered Lockwood because you never stopped putting yourself before others.
"She knocked me out and took my place. I wouldn't have let her if I knew-" Anthony retracted from you and looked over to Lucy, having her own breakdown.
Knowing of your bond, she knew what losing you would do to him. The last thing she wanted was to add any more stress to his plate and his already heavy heart. “I know. It’s alright Luce...” Lockwood gave her a firm nod. He then turned back to you. Lockwood was staring at what you referred to as your imperfections, a freckle here, a scar against your temple there, and the crease in your brows, to him they were what made you simply perfect in his eyes. He couldn’t help the frown on his lips, the frown on your own lips not sitting well with him. Had you fainted in pain? Were you still in pain? It didn’t shake him as badly as your closed eyes did. He wanted nothing more than to peer into them again. Find a home in them once more. He willed and hoped them to finally open so that he could see that you were alright.
He lied, your pulse hadn’t been enough, he needed to see you awaken for him to even function correctly. He needed his mind to think about anything else, something else so he asked.
“What marvelous object did she acquire this time...” He scoffed. “My first encounter with her was with the end of an umbrella.”
"The butt of her rapier," Lucy said. "Shit hurt..." She rubbed against the side of her temple.
“A rapier?” He breathed a small laugh. “I see you weren’t quite original this time...” A small smile appeared in Lockwood's eyes as he leaned forward again. His hand lowered to wrap around your fingers, all the while as he carefully placed your head upon his shoulder. His other hand brushed against your cheek, making note of your temperature. “Her hands are getting cold.”
"Is that bad?"
“Y/n. Can you hear me?” He lifted your head from his shoulder. “Her circulation is slowing. Our time frame for waking her up is shrinking.” It's always an internal struggle for him to remain composed, but he had to be strong for the lot of them.
"Where did Pamela go?" George began panicking. He grew weary seeing her hunched over the broken mirror.
“Leave her, George!" Lockwood let out his frustration at the situation. “She’s not our priority right now.”
“You stupid boy. You broke it!” Pamela whined.
Lockwood turned to look back at Pamela, who was whining about the broken mirror as Lucy’s attempts to bring you back to consciousness were becoming more futile. Lockwood’s patience was wearing thin, and Pamela’s words were doing nothing but adding fuel to the flames.
“We need to go! Now!” Lockwood urged the two of them. As he was already attempting to pick you up, especially with his bad shoulder still bleeding out. The exhaustion hadn’t yet reached him, his adrenaline running rampant.
Lockwood's words were cut short as he stumbled, dropping you to the ground. His bad shoulder had given way to the exhaustion that now began to consume him. He was losing his grip on everything. “Lucy...” he was pleading now.
“We’ve got her, let’s go!” Lucy assured his panic, and swung your arm over her shoulder, George taking your other arm.
“Don’t drop her…” Lockwood barked out, as he struggled to maintain a standing position. The exhaustion finally started to take hold of him as his knees buckled beneath him. With his body starting to tremble and lose its grasp, he let out a deep groan, his breath shallowing from the physical exertion.
"Go!" Lucy ordered out of frustration. She admired his concern and care about you but not when their lives were currently on the line and a crazy bitch was staring into the mirror she tried forcing them to look into.
He didn’t want to allow any room for arguing.
-
Anthony had fallen unconscious as the lift back up. His body lay next to yours as George, Lucy, and Kipps adjusted the both of you. The last thing Anthony recalls was lightly pressing his hand on top of yours before he succumbed to the exhaustion that ransacked his body. He felt as though a train drove right into him, though at least now he could say he’s faced down the barrel of a gun and lived to tell the tale. You’d find it humorous. You always thought highly of his jokes and gave him a laugh when most never bothered. He’d give anything to hear you bubble out of joy. See you double over from the loss of air in your chest. He’d give anything...everything.
After the paramedics patched him up and reduced him to an arm sling, he hung back as you lay on the gurney behind him. He twisted in his seat, keeping a watchful eye on you, waiting, willing the universe to spare him and have your fingers twitch, or have you shift around. He needed some peace of mind.
Though the universe was not kind, your body remained lifeless in a state of deep slumber. Lockwood’s heartbeat grew heavier the longer he waited on the back of the ambulance, his mind flooded with the worst-case scenarios. That this would be the last time, that that smile of yours that could charm anyone with ease would be lost. If he was to lose you, then he had nothing left. Nothing and no one. His hand continued to shake as he felt himself become more and more of a wreck. He couldn’t breathe...he wouldn't be able to breathe...and he knew he’d whole himself in his room if you didn’t-
“Will the Mrs live to see another day?”
Anthony looked over at Inspector Barnes. He gestured to your stilified state. He had hoped his joke would upturn the tension but if presumed he hadn’t after Lockwood scoffed and rolled his eyes, adverting his gaze away and back where they longed to remain, solely on you.
“What’d the paramedics say?” He asked again.
“She’s alright...Nothing we couldn’t figure out ourselves. The pressure from the mirror exhausted her to the point of fainting. She’s stable...she’s surpassed every checkup they ministered with flying colors...”
“Yet...” Barnes trailed off.
“They don’t have the slightest clue as to why she won’t wake up. They already tried to but...” Lockwood didn’t want to say it out loud, but speaking it into existence confirmed his worst fears, that even though your vitals were good, and your body reacted well to the fluids they gave you, something was seriously wrong, if not physically, then mentally and that scared him more than anything else. “I have this inclining...”
"Lockwood-" Barnes began.
“I know what you’re going to say. Have hope. Remain optimistic as we’ll continue to observe her, monitor her vitals, hell test her blood. But what good will that do when we’ve done it already…” He paused, the exhaustion growing with every passing moment. “What if she never wakes up?” Lockwood’s breath shudders.
“You both know of the risks–“ Barnes tries to reason.
“We’ve been in the business of risk exposure for years. We don’t expect ourselves to survive from the first encounter. But this–this feeling...” Lockwood’s voice was breaking. He couldn’t keep himself contained any longer. “I’m aware!” Lockwood snaps, his voice breaking, his eyes reddening. “All too aware, but if I’d known this would happen I’d…” His thoughts trail off, unsure of what to say anymore. His eyes kept darting back and forth between you and Barnes. He’d succumb to begging. He would. Just to see you move a little. Any kind of movement. Just one would be enough to quell his panic.
“Taken her place?” A small knowing smile reached Barnes's brows.
Lockwood couldn’t bring himself to deny it. He took a deep breath, as he spoke in a hushed and gentle tone “I would hand myself over to death without question. Any given day.” He didn’t hesitate. “I’d rather she lose me, than I her. So yes, I’d have taken her place.” Barnes's eyes slowly flickered past his shoulder with an easing smile. He looked down to the rubble.
“Over my dead body-” Anthony had never turned his head faster. He instantly froze. The relief that had started to wash over him at seeing you had given way to embarrassment. His own injury was forgotten. You sat up and your eyes landed on him. “Hand yourself over to death, or you mad- What the hell happened to your shoulder?”
“That would be my leave...” Barnes pointed to his left and swiftly left the two of you.
“My shoulder? Oh, it…I was shot.” He answered as simple as that, it contained no other details, nothing to ease your concern, which led you right into interrogating him.
“Shot?” You were taken aback by his nonchalant reply. “What do you mean, shot?” You exclaim.
“Nothing worth troubling yourself about. How do you feel?” There was an air of tension between the two of you, where everything had become so fragile. After everything that had happened, a simple statement or action would break the illusion. You were awake and animated, and giving him a piece of your mind. It didn’t feel real in the slightest.
“I…” A wave of exhaustion was still coursing through your body, a result of the exhausting ordeal that you had just undergone. The ordeal had exhausted your body so much that your brain shut down. But your physical exhaustion also masked the emotional exhaustion you were feeling. You felt out of your element; overwhelmed by everything that was now around you. Everything felt unfamiliar to you, as though you had been transported into an unknown dimension, one where your mind felt trapped. Anthony’s ghost locked body in your arms. “I don’t know...I couldn’t wake up.”
"I know- The paramedics tried everything and-"
It was impossible to say what you did and didn't remember. But from what you recall, the events of the evening were a blur. "The mirror..." You attempted to scoot closer to him. Your hands grazed against Anthony's hair. Your eyes caught sight of his shoulder, wrapped in bandages and the sling that secured it together. Was it bleeding? But it wasn’t your primary focus. You just needed to feel him. “There were so many faces, so many faces.” You breathe out a gasp. Your eyes watering. “I saw you...”
“Me?”
"You were ghost-locked. I had lost you..." Your breath hitched.
"It wasn't real. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon. It wasn't real." Anthony reassured, pressing kisses against your temple.
"But what if it was...What if what the mirror showed me becomes true?"
He paused, taking a moment to contemplate your concerns. Anthony had already spent the evening playing out the worst-case scenarios, but to hear you state them verbally had somehow made them more palpable. However, a small part of him was curious whether you saw your future by the mirrors doing, or if it was just an illusion to break you mentally.
"Then I'll make sure that doesn't happen." He whispered. His voice was tinged with emotion. His hands reached for yours and intertwined his fingers with yours. A sign of his promise to you.
“You can’t promise that-”
Anthony looked down at your hands, his eyes flickering between them as he attempted to focus on anything other than the overwhelming amount of emotions swirling within him, the emotions threatening to consume him whole. So he focused instead on your hands being intertwined with his, and the sight warmed him in a pleasant way he hadn't felt in many months, as the thought of possibly losing you had him filled with dread.
He leaned over and kissed your knuckles. “Did you not hear my declaration of my love for you?”
“Oh, the one where you give yourself to death- Like hell!” You yank your hand out of his with a scoff.
“Hand myself over–” He corrected you. “I’d hand myself over to death.” He continued.
“I’m about to hand you a right hook.” You throw a playful punch to his bad shoulder, forgetting his injury and rippling with regret instantly. “Oh!”
“Ow.” He groaned. “What’s the big issue?” He laughed softly. “What’s wrong with giving up my life for yours?” He teased. “You know I’d die for you.”
"You don't have my permission." You mutter softly. Bringing a hand up to brush back his hair.
As your hand brushed back his hair, Anthony couldn’t help but smile at the small gesture. He grabbed the hand you used to brush back his hair and lightly kissed the back of your hand again. “If I wanted to I would give myself over to death this very instant. I’d do just about anything for you, you know.” He replied. His gaze was now fully on you. His eyes were a deep amber, shining like two gemstones.
"And that's what scares me the most." You hum.
“It shouldn’t.” He scoffed with a smile. “Besides, I thought you valued my loyalty.” He raised a brow playfully.
"Yes. When I'm not there to defend my word. That’s when I put my whole faith in your loyalty to me...but when death comes knocking. I don't want it." Your eyes soften.
He looked away briefly, then back at you with a teasing smile. “I wouldn’t give my life to save just anyone, you know.”
"Oh, I'm aware." You fight back an amused smile. He noticed it though, he caught the smile that you attempted to mask. You were never able to conceal much around him, and that was all right. He liked seeing your emotions on full display. You were your truest self when you let your guard down around him. It made you all the more adorable that way. “And you?” He asked. “Would you give yourself to death for me?” He teased, but you knew he was serious.
Your smile widened for a moment before you caught yourself, and answered without taking a beat. You would allow him to know your fears, for the fear of seeing him suffer on your behalf was the worst feeling one could endure. That was something you hated the thought of. You didn’t quite see yourself as the more vulnerable one out of the two of you. Deep down Anthony conquered his inner demons through you, shared his past, his troubles, and confessed his deepest fears to you. You’d help him without any hesitation. You would do anything for the bloke, even if that meant going as far as sacrificing your own life for the sake of him getting to keep his, you would do it, and you’d do it in a heartbeat no less.
“Any given day.” One glance into your eyes and Anthony knew. He knew you would keep that promise till death tethered on whose hand to take. When? Well, you’d never truly know for sure.
Content with your answer, he leans in and kisses your cheek softly. You relax into his touch, your lashes brushing down on top of your under-eyes. He pulls away with a stupid grin. His eyes filled with want and mischief, your favorite combination.

Never Say Die [4]
Part 1 | part 2 | part 3 | you’re here | Part 5
Quick note, the tag list is full. So now the only way that you can get notifications about the next date is if you turn on notifications on my blog. (Which if you are hesitant about this, I don’t spam my board at most I’ll post twice a day so this can be a option for you :) though I’m not sure if there’s any other way or notifying people. If you know a way let me know!
Steve was laying in his bed, blanket pulled off from him as he stares out at the night sky. He wasn’t wearing a shirt, though he made sure to shut his door. The only thing allowed to see him this vulnerable was the full moon outside. As time slowly passes by, he feels like one of those princesses that’s stuck in the castle. He hasn’t been able to do anything yet, Hopper and Joyce were currently in the process of coming up with a backstory as to how he was alive. He misses a lot of things more now that he was home compared to when he was locked in the prison. He misses being able to be seen with Robin. He misses being able to relax in a bed. Though, no matter where he’s been he knows the one consistent thing that’ll always be there for him.
The moon.
The moon that watched him get tortured in his cell, sometimes even left outside in the freezing snow for a night for a punishment. Of course there were nights the moon wasn’t there. Especially the nights when the new moon was taking its turn on the calendar. But even that brought him comfort. In his eyes new beginnings were always over the horizon.
Dink!
It was coming from his window. Before his brain can think he’s already tossed himself on the carpeted floor. Rug burn already catching to his knees as he crawls over. Careful for whatever or whoever to not see him. He was being ridiculous. He was on the second floor. There was no way anyone could see him. His breathing is loud and shaky as he keeps his arms tightly crossed around himself. He knew he could fight, but in that moment he was prepared to hide. Though in reality, if it really was something he couldn’t be getting himself killed right when everyone just got him back. That and if he was laying there bleeding out from whatever was being shot at his window, who was supposed to warn Hopper and Joyce.
Steve really needed to slow his role. Think rationally, right as another small thunk like noise comes from the glass. Closing his eyes he takes the moment to think rationally. He’s heard that noise before. When he used to sneak into girls rooms before everything. The smallest of pebbles he could find would be thrown at their windows to catch their attention. Someone was trying to get his attention. Now he needs to come up with the decision of whether or not this person knows he’s alive or not. If this went wrong the whole town would know he was alive and think he was being kidnapped. After a few more moments, he lets his deductive skills kick in. He felt like Sherlock Holmes.
There was no way someone he didn’t know would be throwing pebbles at his window. It was definitely someone he knows. Why they didn’t just go through the front door was beyond him. Or how they snuck by Hoppers senses.
He moves slowly after the third pebble hits the frame of the window, a bit louder then the others. Carefully placing his hands underneath as he lifts the window open. A silent as possible. He pokes his head out, a small pebble hitting him in the cheek right as he does. Hissing in slight pain as his hand flies up to hold the agitated skin. He glares down, trying to see who it was. But once again his vision wasn’t as good as it used to be. Nor was his hearing. He had taken his hearing aid out, so there was just a slightly muffled blob standing in his lawn.
“Hold on. I can’t see, and I can’t hear you.” Steve whisper yells. Moving and grabbing his hearing aid. Getting it situated before he’s sliding on a shirt, one that used to be to tight on him. Now it was a bit loose, from the slight weight loss from the prison. He was gaining it back with muscle, forcing Hopper to work out with him in their basement. A small corner designated to his small gym and the other side of the basement designated to DnD. “Who is it?” He hisses out. The fuzziness from his ear clearing up. Focusing on the person below instead of the crickets that surrounded them.
“It’s me.” The voice whispers back. Steve can’t help but snort a little, holding back a laugh.
“Well- me. If I could recognize you by voice I would. But I’m not hearing you that well still.”
A small groan is heard before the male, Steve was able to figure that much out. The guys voice was deep and scratchy. As if he spent a lot of time smoking.
“It’s Eddie!” Eddie says a lot louder then before. Steve frowns as he hears the other.
“Oh.” He says dumbly. “What do you want?” Steve asks. Unsure as to why his best friends other best friend was currently outside his window like some secret boyfriend. It was very strange being on the receiving end of this.
“Well- Robin was supposed to be here with me but we were going to kidnap you and take you out for the night. But her parents busted her climbing out the window.” Eddie rambles out quickly. Trying to stay as silent as possible.
Steve raises a eyebrow, something seemed off in the others statement. Though Steve wasn’t going to look to far into it as he puts a finger out telling the other to hold on. He moves to his closet, tossing on a sweater. Moving and sliding on a extra pair of shoes. His regular pair were downstairs. He moves to the window, as silent as possible. Moving to dangle out. Hearing the slight cursing of one Eddie Munson.
“Dude, you could have taken the front door.” Eddie hisses out.
“No I can’t. Hopper is like- superhuman. He can since when the force is off or some shit.” Steve hisses back. Looking down for a second before he’s swing himself over and throwing himself to the shaky pipe that went up the side of the house. Sliding down with ease. Though he wasn’t sure whether or not it would be sturdy enough for his weight to climb back up.
Steve hops down in front of Eddie, wiping his hands off on his pants as he grins jokingly. “Like a ninja.”
Causing the other boy to hold back a snort of laughter. Moving to wave Steve along to follow him. Steve does, creeping next to the house and moving his way down the path. Once or twice, Steve’s hand flies out to catch Eddie from falling on his face. But other then that they eventually make it to the guys van. Where Steve moves hopping up into the passenger side.
Nearly jumping right back out when a group of people yell “surprise!” At him. His hands shake in his lap a bit as he gathers himself. Looking confused as he looks at all of them curiously. No wonder Eddie seemed like he had been lying. Because he was.
“We wanted to surprise you.” El says with a smile. “Know its been a while since you’ve left the house, and we all know you loved swimming so we wanted to take you to the quarry.” She rambles out. Face a bit pink, and it doesn’t take a genius to figure out that she was the one that arranged this.
Eddies sitting in the drivers side, key in the ignition with a fond smile. Before his face contorts up and he’s turning around and yelling. “Hey shit face, yeah you Henderson. If you’re eating my last can or Pringle’s I’ll make sure to shove your head up your ass so far that no one’s going to be able to reach that far to pull you out.“ Steve’s head turns back looking at the boy who’s hand was currently stuck in the can of Pringles. Making a oopsie face.
***
It doesn’t take long for them to get to the lake. The kids were already in swim suits and throwing themselves in the water. Eddie is a bit hesitant, and so is Steve who doesn’t want to pull his shirt off. Though there seems to be more of a reason to Eddie who looks at the water a bit haunted. Steve recognizes that look. He looks at malls like that now.
“Hey everything okay?” He asks curiously. Moving to dip his toes in the water. Pants rolled up to his ankles.
“Yeah.. it’s just. When everything went down one of the gates was - well under the lake. Dustin called it water gate.” Eddie laughs a little towards the end. “And well… I’m not the best swimmer but I wasn’t going to force Robin or Nancy to go down there. And shit face Henderson decided he was going to force his way onto the boat. And I got tugged down. “ he explains. He doesn’t seem to really be there. His voice is off somewhere else.
Steve hesitates before he presses a hand on the others shoulder. “You don’t have to go in you know. I’m not.” He says softly.Eddies looking at him confused before Steve clarifies. “My- well my wounds haven’t fully healed. And if I let any of my stitches touch the water then I’m fucked.” He laughs.
Eddie grins as he carefully pulls up his shirt revealing a bandage around his middle. Steve could only imagine what it was hiding. Steve grins as he moves and lifts his own up. He was no longer in the bandage state, his side just had a huge gash. Eddies eyes go wide. He’s about to say something but one of the kids yell at them to join. Both declining, showing their wounds at the same time. Steve doesn’t even process that Eddie’s side was bandages heavily on the same spot as his. Just on the opposite side of his body, closer to Steve with the way he stood.
Silence falls over them again. Neither of them knowing what to say. “You know you’re nothing like how I remember you being.” Eddies voice echos through the night. Staying hushed under the kids screaming.
“Oh- yeah. When you nearly die numerous times you kind of figure that it’s time to stop being a douche.” Steve laughs gently. “And there’s more important things then social heirchy.”
“I- I wished I learned that sooner.” Eddie admits as he looks awkward again.
“What do you mean- you were like. All fuck society norms and shit.” Steve laughs gently.
“Well- doesn’t mean I still wasn’t a twat about jocks and shit.” Eddie chuckles bitterly. “You know I was at the mall the night it caught fire or whatever. I was in the movie theaters. And I seen you. Right before you died. Your face looked like it was smashed into bricks, you were laughing at whatever Doc had said. Then when you stumbled out, obviously not okay. I thought you were fine so I didn’t make a fuss out of it. But I know if you weren’t some Jock from the high-school I would have checked to make sure you were okay. ” Eddie rambles out a bit. “And god did I feel guilty when I seen your name on the list of people who died that night.” Tears are rolling down his face. Steve tries to interject but he doesn’t get a chance to as the other starts to talk again.
“You know Henderson worships the ground you walk dude? “ Eddie tilts his head to look at him. Wide eyed, as he doesn’t hide a single emotion. “And god, I just. I got so jealous that this kid. This amazing kid who reminded me of myself when I was his age. Worshiped someone who used to look down on kids like us. And I was just- an entire asshole. The poor guy was still mourning you and confiding in me about how much of a nice guy you were, and I just sat there listened, and didn’t believe a god damn word he said. Here I thought he was just coming up with stories about a dead kid. And instead I was the asshole that I declared war against in high-school. It was no is fucked up.” Eddie eyes are watering more. Hands shaking as he pulls a cig out, lighting it soon after.
Steve just stands there and listens. That’s really all he could do. He takes a shaky breath as he pauses looking out at the kids in the water. “We are all just kids you know. We aren’t… we aren’t made to to handle all of this shit normally. If there even is a normal. Just know I don’t hold it against you, neither does Dustin. If you ever need to rant more about it I’m here.” Steve smiles sincerely. Watching as Eddie nods dumbly.
“You know, you’re the first one to act like this isn’t all normal. The kids.. god the kids were great when everything was happening. Robin was freaking out but she knew what she was doing. Doing things I can’t even imagine doing. I’m sure you know how it is.” Eddie rambles out.
Steve nods his head in understanding, “trust me… none of us are normal.” He laughs gently. “You’re relatively new, you’ll catch signs of things they do when others don’t.”
“Like how you flinch whenever anyone raises their voice?” Eddie asks curiously.
“Yeah.. yeah exactly that.” Steve answers softly. Letting the silence take over the both of them. Unaware that he had been that obvious.
Oh my god, thank you to everyone who has been supporting me throughout this. Especially for the comments. Those I have found are hard to come by and every single one has been making my day. I haven’t gotten a chance to respond yet, but I love every single one. (So don’t be ashamed to freak out in the comments. The long paragraphs are amazing. I just haven’t gotten a chance to respond) I have never gotten this much support for something I’ve written ever.
Next thing, I would put this on ao3 but I kind of wrote them straight to tumblr and it would take me forever to copy and paste each individual paragraph on there. I’m already putting a lot of time writing the tag list and writing it itself so for now this Is a tumblr exclusive. (Though I know in the future I’m probably going to do a rewrite and include everything that I wanted to, but have been to exhausted to write out)
Like I can’t express how thankful I have been for the support. I’ve gained close to a hundred followers in two days and I love that but it’s crazy to me that that many people liked my work.
Though I will be lurking in the comments tonight, ;) so I’ll probably respond the best I can!

Day 11: Icicle
Tumblr media
Summary: Din takes you shooting on a brisk, wintery day
WC: 560
Warnings: blasters, suggestive content but nothing NSFW, he's just kinda a giant tease.
Finally recovered from my respiratory infection! Let's get this show back on the road!
“Just like that, you’ve got it.” Din’s voice is heavy against your ear as you lean back into his chest, his arms holding you as you aim the blaster at the small can he’s set up outside the ship. You rock your shoulders back, stare down the blaster, look beyond the target and–
Miss spectacularly.
Honestly, it’s really spectacular. Your shot has managed to completely bypass the can and shoot a hole in a nearby ice patch, steam rising steadily out of the chilled water.
There’s a ringing in your ears mixed with Din’s throaty laugh, and you shake your head to knock both noises out. “There has to be something wrong with your blaster.”
“Course, because there’s no way there’s anything wrong with you.”
You do your best to ignore the way his voice drops an octave lower at his latest words, and try to settle yourself on looking at the can. “I don’t wanna shoot that anymore. It’s pissing me off.”
“Fair enough.” He pulls his second blaster from his hip and shoots it fast and easy, the can rocketing backwards off the snow crusted log it’s sat on so fast you’re not even sure if your mind registered it. “Let’s try something else, pretty girl.”
Din walks you over toward the mouth of a nearby cave, past snow-covered purple and blue trees and fauna, underneath the dim, glowing winter sky. Grogu floated closely behind, though you couldn’t see him, perfectly warm in his soft, enclosed pram.
You were perfectly fine with a vibroblade, and an excellent pilot. There had always been something with blasters you just couldn’t get. Sure, you could hit a large target, vaguely, and had enough skill to travel alongside Din and not die, but that was a long way from calling yourself good with a blaster. So, you had determined you were going to try to get better. By the maker, you had to. You couldn’t get worse.
You walked a few minutes away from the ship towards the cave, where a long frozen waterfall left shimmering  icicles down either side, and a few dipping over the mouth.
“Perfect. Let’s aim for those.” Din pointed up to the cluster of icicles, and you spun on your heel to face him.
“I can’t even hit a can.”
“Yeah but these are up. It’s harder to hit something right in front of you.”
“I literally don’t believe you but, sure.”
You moved to your stance and cocked the blaster upwards, getting ready to shoot. Din’s foot found the inside of yours and tapped between the two, spreading your legs just a bit. His hand worked itself on the small of your back, holding you flush against him, while his other arm pressed itself under yours, giving you a slightly different angle.
“Now just breathe into it, pretty girl, let it fly.”
You did. Closing your eyes for a moment and taking one breath, then two, then three, opinion your eyes wide before pulling the trigger—and being met with the clear sound of the icicle shattering.
You spun on Din and grinned, and he pulled you in close before whispering. “Thatta girl. Let’s see if you can hit the rest.”

Night Terrors | Austin Butler X Reader
Tumblr media
Warning: angst, bad dreams, vague allusions to body insecurity, fluff.
Word Count: 1.6K
A/N: This was requested a few days ago and I liked the idea! So, I created this little one shot. Hope you guys enjoy.
Summary: He said the worst things imaginable to you. It felt so real--your life was falling apart. Everything was a lie. And then you woke up.
“What do you mean, ‘I don’t love you anymore’?” You asked tearfully. You sat with Austin on the front stoop of your shared New York City brownstone. He appeared quite intoxicated, leaning against the stair railing, his expression unbothered.
“I don’t love you,” he repeated, looking you in the eye. He watched your heart shatter and didn’t move an inch to console you. He only blinked, clearing his throat.
“You don’t love me? All of this was a lie?” You choked through the tears. “We live together!”
“I used you, Y/n.” He reached into his pocket and retrieved his juul, taking several drags from it, looping white clouds into the night sky. Anger overtook your body. How could he be so nonchalant? You snatched the device from his lips and tossed it as far as you could into the street.
“What the fuck is wrong with you?” Your voice rose.
“You know what? How could anyone love you?” It was as if he had ripped your heart from your body and tossed it on the sidewalk, stubbing it out like a discarded cigarette. “You don’t take care of yourself. You complain about the way you look all the time, yet you do nothing about it. I’m sick of it! You can be miserable, but I fucking refuse.” He cut you into pieces. He knew it. He didn’t care. He wanted you to hurt so badly that you’d go away forever.
“How dare you speak to me like that? I’ve never done anything but love you.” You reached out to touch him. Though he was breaking your heart, you still loved him. It was natural for you to want him–to want to be with him. Instead, he recoiled and moved further away from you.
“No. Just stop. I’m done, Y/n. I’ve been done for quite a while.” He looked at you briefly before pulling his knees to his chest, resting his elbows on them.
“What does that even mean? Why didn’t you tell me any of this?” You asked, wiping the tears from your cheeks with your palm. You sniffled, yet your face was still a dripping mess.
“Can I be honest with you?” He asked, turning to you. He rubbed at his mouth and chin like he was mulling over a thought. You nodded, your throat contracting and releasing in a choked sob, causing you to whimper. “I cheated–and it’s not the first time. I’ve cheated many, many times. And honestly, I regret nothing.” He shrugged coldly, raking his fingers through his blond coif. “It was how I got by.”
“So you treated me like a live-in fuck-toy? To fuck whenever you wanted? To wash and fold your clothes, make you dinner, make love to you? Just so you could betray me with any tight pussy you could find?” You shot the words out at him, your voice rising with anger.
“Guess so.”
“You know what? Fuck you! Get your shit and get the fuck out of my house.”
“The house is just as much mine as it is yours.”
“I’ll call the police to escort your ass out.”
“What will they do, Y/n? They’ll ‘diffuse’ it and leave. So I’m not going anywhere. Figure it out and get a hold of yourself. You’re acting crazy.” You looked away from you. In that moment, you couldn’t control the rage that exploded from your body. You reeled back and slapped him as hard as you possibly could, feeling the sting of contact against your palm.
“I hope whatever sorry son of a bitch that meets you next finds out how fucking pitiful you really are. You had it good, Austin. You had me–someone who would die for you. I would have done anything for you!” You shouted, pointing your finger in his face.
“You’re pathetic, Y/n.” He laughed. Chuckled, even.
Deep within your throat, you felt the pain. The muscles contracted tightly as if they would tear at any moment from shear tension. The roar of your scream ripped away from deep within your chest. You squeezed your fists as tightly as you could, feeling your fingernails digging into the flesh of your palms. You shrieked as loudly as you could at him, releasing all of the hurt, the pain, the fury and betrayal, and the grief that shattered you completely.
“Hey, hey. HEY,” Austin said, his hands wrapped around you, waking you up from the nightmare. “Shhh, calm down. I think you had a nightmare.”
“Wh-what?” You asked, pulling out of your stupor. You jolted awake, pushing him away in your half-sleep state, desperate to get away from him. “Get away from me!” You barked.
“Huh?” Austin asked. You retreated into your body, making yourself as small as you could under the covers. You were conscious, but not enough to differentiate what was real and what wasn’t. “Okay, okay,” he said, moving to the edge of the bed. He sat with his legs crossed, rubbing sleep from his eyes. Tears began to pour down your cheeks as you remembered the hurtful things that he had said to you in your dream.
“You didn’t love me,” you sobbed. You pulled your hands to your eyes, swiping away the brutal tears as they fell. “You said I was pathetic and that no one loved me.” Austin took the cue to move closer to you, pulling you against him. That was when the real tears came. Your body shook from misery, your body racked with sobs. You vaguely felt him rubbing your back, squeezing you as close to him as he could, letting you cry–even if it didn’t exactly make sense why you were crying. He kissed the tops of your shoulders as he waited patiently. It took you a while to calm down in order to stifle the tears, but when they did slow, you leaned back and sat opposite him with your legs crossed.
“May I hold your hands?” He asked gently, asking permission. You nodded. He took your hands in his, running his thumbs lovingly over your knuckles. “Do you feel comfortable telling me what happened?” You nodded again, sniffling loudly. You lifted your hand to wipe the tears from your face and push the stray hairs behind your ears before returning your hand to his.
“I had a bad dream–and you were so mean to me. You acted like I didn’t matter. You told me that you cheated on me over and over and that you didn’t regret it.” You couldn’t help the tears from flowing again. Austin disconnected his hands from yours, raising them to your cheeks to swipe the tears away as they fell. “You said you didn’t love me.”
“I never said that, baby.” Austin said softly. “Even if it was a nightmare. That wasn’t me. I would never, ever treat you like that.” He returned his hands to yours. You nodded, but didn’t look at him. He wasn’t convinced that you understood. He took your face in his hands, urging you to look at him. “I adore you. I am in love with you, Y/n. I think you are the most beautiful woman I have ever seen and I tell you that every single day.”
“I know you do,” you said softly, your lips trembling. “But it felt so real.”
“That’s why nightmares can be so scary.” Austin began. “But they also come from stress. Is something going on?” He asked carefully. “I’m here for you, honey.”
“I don’t feel like myself right now. I feel ugly and I feel like I am undeserving of love. I haven’t told you, but I’ve felt like this for a while. I’ve just tried to push it away because I didn’t want to feel this way.”
“Sweetheart,” He said, softly, taking your face in his hands once more, his thumbs stroking your cheeks. “You are deserving of the love that you are given. Why? Because you are a wonderful person inside and out. You don’t see it right now, and that’s okay. I am here to remind you every day of your worth. It’s okay to have bad days. I know it doesn’t just go away, but I want to be here for the good days, the bad days…everyday. I don’t just love you when it’s sunny.” He paused for a moment. “I won’t go into lame daily devotionals, but…”
You chuckled through the tears, causing him to grin. “But I truly love you. I’ll love you for the rest of my life. That won’t ever change. Let me in. Let me know about the hard things. I don’t just want to be your boyfriend. I want to be your partner–your life partner.” You nodded.
“I trust you,” you said softly, looking him in the eye. “That just hurt a lot,” you continued, referring to the dream.
“Yeah, well sometimes our dreams betray us by exploiting the things we hold most dear.” He said, leaning in to kiss you on the forehead.
“Lay back down with me, Austin.”
“C’mere first,” he said, leaning forward, taking your face by your cheek as he placed his lips on yours, offering a feather-light kiss. You reciprocated, bringing your hands to the back of his neck, your fingers tugging at his blond waves. He pulled you against him, laying down once again. You stared into his eyes for quite some time. The moment wasn’t awkward, and there was no push to end it. You lay next to him, taking his hand in yours, silently stroking the softness of his skin.
“I love you,” you finally said, breaking the silence.
“I love you too, Y/n. You’ll never truly understand how much. But I’ll show you every single day.”
You turned your body so that he could spoon you. You felt safe within his embrace, his arm pulled protectively around your body as you cocooned yourself within the covers. You fell asleep listening to the give and take of his breath, mixed with the soft chirps of crickets from outside your bedroom window.

All I've ever wanted... (a dark fanfic)
Tumblr media
"I did it, I actually did it!"
Dr. Drakken felt his heart pound inside of his chest as he stepped onto the stage. He couldn't help but grin as he watched the faces of the world leaders; fright, disbelief, and shock were smeared all over their ugly mugs. And most importantly, all their eyes were locked on the mad scientist. Flashing cameras from news reporters, each in attendance from places all across the world, were transfixed on him. Drakken was about to make a speech, addressing his next course of action now that the world belonged to him and him only.
Drakken cleared his throat and leaned towards one of the dozen microphones in front of him. As he was about to speak, he suddenly felt something was off about this whole scenario. Something, no rather, someone was missing as he glanced towards his right side.
"Shego?" he mouthed. He turned back to face the crowd and startled when met with silence. The once buzzing and stuffed conference room was now vacant and deserted, as if something had whisked everyone away.
The man quickly climbed off the stage and headed towards the exit door. When he opened it up, gone was the conference room hallway and in its place he was met with a dark, endless void.
Drakken called out to no one in particular, hoping to hear a response, but once again he heard nothing. As he turned around, he spotted something out of the corner of his eye; a dim green light was flickering in the distance as if it fought to stay connected to the dark silhouette sprawled out on the floor.
"She— Shego!" Drakken felt panic rush in as there came no response from the figure. He forced himself to move closer, but with each step he took, his legs became twice as heavy. "Shego, is that you? Answer me!" he cried out.
After what felt like ages, he managed to get near enough to confirm his worst fear. Drakken fell to his knees in defeat, letting out a guttural scream as he tried with all of his strength to reach out to the woman he loved. Millions of questions raced through his head all at once: How could this happen? When did this happen? Who was responsible for this atrocity!?
"No— No, no, NO!" He choked back tears as he watched the remnants of green light die at his lover's fingertips.
"What's wrong?"
Drakken froze as he heard his own voice coming from behind him.
"Why do you care so much about a mere sidekick? She's as replaceable as your henchmen," the voice taunted him. "Just take a strand of her hair and clone her; maybe even replace that snarky personality of hers with a more obedient one."
The voice was getting closer.
Flee, now!
Drakken's instincts kicked in. A sharp pain shot through his body as he got back on his feet. He ran through the dark as hard as he could, feeling the gaze of the doppelganger burn into his skull. If he could keep enough distance, then maybe he could find a way out of this place. Drakken clenched his teeth as a deafening ringing filled his ears until... 'Beep, beep, bee-beep.'
"Possible!" The scientist searched haphazardly in the dim light for the source of the sound until his eyes fell upon his arch-nemesis. "KI-KIM! KIM POSSIBLE, OVER HERE! HELP ME!"
Drakken waved his arms frantically as he began running in her direction. A newfound hope dulled out all the pain in his aching body.
This teen can do anything! She's forgiving, strong, resilient! Surely she'll help me get out of this mess.
Drakken's thoughts were disrupted as he felt his feet slip from underneath him and he hit the ground with a thud. The man stayed down a moment as he held his head in pain and checked his stinging hands for signs of blood; thankfully there were none. He looked at the spot where he slipped.
"Ice?" he questioned out loud. A small patch of ice was on the floor and it formed a trail underneath him. Curiously he followed it with his eyes, to find that it led to the teen superhero not three meters in front of him. Kim looked up at the blackened sky above them, her hands above her head as if she were carrying a big invisible tray or surrendering herself. Drakken noted other things: her skin, hair, and clothes were drenched with water, her focused eyes were dark and sunken in, her lips were rough, burst and bleeding but most frightening of all…her entire face was blue.
"Oh yeah, that's right... We locked her up in a basin with water and then topped it off with a thick layer of solid ice... The brat froze to death or drowned. Either way, it doesn't matter. That poor thing thought she could belt herself to freedom. We both know that the human voice can't crack a dent in layers upon layers of solid ice!" The voice started cackling loudly. "We finally defeated that little meddling pest. You should be happy!" The voice sounded closer than before.
I'm done for.
"No there's gotta be— There's gotta be a way out of here!" Drakken cursed under his breath.
He focused on getting up. But the second his foot touched the ground, instead of a hard surface he was met with a goopy, black ooze. The earth underneath him started to shift into a sticky, pitch-black pool that clung to his clothes. With every movement he made, he felt himself sink further into it.
Drakken tried clawing at the parts that seemed still intact, only for it to flow through his fingers until he felt a shoe. His gaze shot upwards to see Kim Possible's sidekick staring back at him. His face was somber with no hint of empathy or remorse for the man as he slowly became more and more engulfed in tar.
Drakken tried getting a hold of the boy's leg, opened his mouth to plead with him for help. But when he tried to speak, nothing came from his lips.
"Oh, that's right. We never bothered to remember him, uhm— What’s his name again? Perhaps ‘buffoon’ works..."
But I know his name, it's Stoppable! Ron Stoppable! Drakken protested back in his mind. But the more he tried to force the name out, the more gulps of sticky, suffocating tar gushed into his throat.
“Look at you. You’ve got all the power in the world, and still you are weak.”
Drakken could see his mirror image hovering, staring right at him now mere centimeters above his own face. Finally he dared to look at the figure’s features.
His face was sharp and slightly sunken in, his ears seemed pointier than his own, and bloodshot eyes were fixed on his, observing him like a predator watching its prey die.
“I gave you this power! This is all you’ve ever wanted and yet you are not satisfied?”
“I never wanted—”
“LIAR!”
The roaring of the doppelganger’s voice sounded like thunder shaking the earth. The tar pit morphed into a maelstrom, trying to drag Drakken down with violent waves.
“The way to the top is paved with blood. You and I both knew that from the very start.”
“That’s… That’s not what I—”
“You pushed Shego to put her life at risk countless times, just to steal something you could’ve easily made yourself.”
“But I—”
“You were enjoying commanding her. She’s nothing but a powerful tool to you. Why else would you put a neuro-compliance chip on her? What else were you thinking of making her do?”
“NO, I’D NEVER—!”
“Never what, Drew?” his voice spat out his name like venom. “Must I remind you that you let a child drown? You just walked away as she was panicking, gasping for air in that freezing water. You don’t have any regard for others in the slightest, so what makes you think that you’re ‘holier than thou’?”
Drakken felt his body becoming numb as the tar further condensed into a heavy emulsion, the power of the waves and the thickness of the ooze forcing his body to give up.
“I’m… I’m sorry,” he sobbed with the last of his strength.
“You’re not sorry,” Ron finally spoke up. “You’re saying this because you hope that someone will somehow save you. But no one will, Drakken. You’ve got no one but yourself to blame.”    Drakken watched in horror as his doppelganger joined him in the pit, burying his finger-like claws against his face, forcing Drakken’s jaws open as he began pulling him deep underneath the surface of the suffocating darkness. His final sight was the apathetic face of the boy as he felt his last desperate breaths escape from his lungs...
Drakken's eyes shot open as he jolted upright, sucking in air against the choking sensation that still had him in its dark grasp. His eyes darted around as he took a moment to process his surroundings, noting familiarity.
The small moat was dimly glowing, illuminating the room just enough to remind him that he was in his bedroom. He felt the mattress shifting slightly as Shego turned and cuddled up to his arm, still fast asleep but thankfully…very much alive.
A wave of relief washed over Drakken as he slowly lie back down. He lifted his still trembling hand and brought it to Shego’s head, brushing his fingers through her dark locks as he watched her sleep. He felt his breaths calm as reality began to supplant the horrors. A content sigh coming from the woman next to him gave him reassurance that the nightmare was finally over. For now.
•─────────────•°•❀•°•─────────────• I hope you liked my little angsty Dr Drakken fanfiction! Massive thanks to @bcbdrums for test reading and helping me with grammar, and spelling checking, and additional suggestions to flesh it out more! ♡(◕ᗜ◕✿) This started out as an idea for a small comic to process and sort out my own nightmares (write it out of mind out so it's of sight am I right?). But then I noticed that it became a bit too big for a small comic as I added more and more things into it, oopsies. I also thought of adding parts from the show into it to keep it in universe. I honestly find the death trap in 'Hidden Talent' to be one of the most diabolical things in the show. Also a small fun note, I based Drakken's nightmare version on one of the unused concept designs for Drakken but I uh, slapped some hair on it :') I unfortunately don't have time to actually make this into a comic at this moment, so that's why I decided to just write it out and perhaps in the future I might adapt it!

More Billy x Reader sins, this time he’s a naga 🐍🐍🐍
It’d been a nice day, uneventful mostly. The sun was high in the sky, it was nice and warm, and Billy had the whole thing planned out. He’d woken up late, stretching his arms and tail, until he’d heard his stomach growl. When had he eaten last? Must’ve been a while. A week, at least. He would go out and find something to eat, then. He would fill his stomach and then bask in the sun for the rest of the day, helping him digest his meal. He had a nice sunning rock, big and flat just outside his cave.
The morning started well, he easily picked up the scent of deer not too far from where he was, carefully and quietly tracking them down. Deer were always good, they were big so they made him full for a while, and they were warm, which helped with his cold-blooded nature. Humans were good too, easier to catch, but he couldn’t smell any nearby. The other nagas told him he shouldn’t eat humans, that it was ‘wrong’ and ‘they were just like him’ but he would just scoff. They’re easy to catch, fill him up, and they taste good, so why not eat them? And they were not like him. Humans were weak, and all they’d do is try and hurt him if they found him.
He slithered along the scent trail, the smell getting stronger and stronger, his mouth watering as he neared. Damn, he hadn’t realized just how hungry he was.
That was when it happened.
He heard the metallic snap, then a white hot pain shot through his tail. He quickly whipped around to see what it was, causing even more pain. He saw blood soaking his scales, a sharp metal trap snapped around him, gripping him tight. He tried to wriggle out of it, but he hissed as it just buried itself deeper. The more he struggled, the more he got trapped. But then something else started to dig into him. A rope, a metal rope, was getting tangled up in his arms and wrapped around his chest and tail. He thrashed even more, only getting it more and more tangled around him. Now he wouldn’t even be able to try and pry the trap off.
“H-hey, are you-“
His head whipped over to the voice, eyes landing on a human. He hissed, trying to coil defensively but only managing to pull on the trap and causing it to scrape him more. He winced, but continued baring his fangs at the threat in front of him.
“S-stop, you’re just gonna get hurt more!”
The human started to approach, and Billy let out a low growl mixed with a hiss, the rattle at the end of his tail raised in the air and started shaking. The human flinched a bit.
“Whoa, whoa, hey! Calm down, okay? I just wanna help…”
Billy thrashed more and more as they got closer, hissing in pain when the ropes got tighter and the trap dug into his tail more.
“Hey stop! Stop thrashing around, it's only making it worse!”
“I don’t need your help!” He hissed, venom dripping from his fangs.
“Oh, so he speaks.”
Billy growled.
“If you don’t need my help, I could just leave you here.”
He narrowed his eyes at them and hissed, tail still rattling, but less so.
“Are you going to let me help you?”
“Fine.”
He supposed he didn’t really have any other choice, he could let them try and ‘help’. He knew they wouldn’t, though, humans would never help him. If they tried anything he could just bite them anyways, and they’d die quickly. He watched with narrowed eyes and a quiet growl in his throat as they got right up to his tail, where the trap had snapped around it. They hesitated before going into the bag they had with them and pulling out what looked to be a shirt, probably from an extra change of clothes they brought with them.
“Here, this might hurt a little, but if you need to bite something or dig your claws into it, you can use that, okay?”
He took it with a sneer, but agreed to not bite them. Unless he had to, of course. They made one wrong move and they’d be his lunch instead of the deer he’d been tracking. Though with how hungry he was, he might just eat them anyways. He watched as they took either side of the trap in their hands, counting to it quietly.
“Okay, one, two… three!“
Billy cried out and dug his fangs into the soft shirt the human had given them when they pulled apart the trap, seemingly holding it with all their strength.
“Can you… try and slither out?”
They asked through clenched teeth, eyes shut tight as they pulled as hard as they could. Though it hurt, the naga managed to get the portion of his tail that was in the trap out of it. The human sighed, breathing heavily as they let go of it, the trap snapping back closed. Billy watched, then, as they got their bag, pulling out a knife. He hissed, seeing the sharp blade as he was still restrained by the ropes.
“Hey, hey, calm down. I’m just gonna cut these ropes for you, okay?”
The human then took a portion of his tail in their hands, carefully sliding the blade under the metal rope and cutting upwards. It snapped easily, and they got to work in the next one. Pretty soon, they only had to take the rope off, without cutting anymore. Then they moved into his torso. The human began cutting through the metal binding his arms to his chest, quickly yet very carefully slicing them off, allowing the naga to have more movement in his limbs.
“There we go, now was that so bad?” They asked as they took the last bit of wire off of his frame.
He sneered at them, but shook his head as he could now freely move. Well, almost freely. It still hurt like hell to move his tail, particularly the portion that was sliced up by the trap. They looked down when he winced, eyes widening as they saw just how bad the wound was.
“Oh, let me fix that for you, I can wrap it up and clean it.”
Billy looked at them in confusion as they rifled through their bag, seemingly finding what they wanted when they pulled out a little box.
“Always bring a first aid kit with me.” They said.
“What are you doing?” He asked, watching as they put the injured part of his tail in their lap.
“I’m gonna help, okay? This’ll make it heal a lot faster, I promise. It might sting a little, though. Think you can handle it?”
He scoffed at them. What a silly question, why wouldn’t he be able to handle it? He watched as they pulled a dark brown bottle from the box, taking the cap off and pouring the clear liquid over his injury. He inhaled quickly through his teeth. Damn, that did sting. The human quickly took a cloth and wiped away both the blood and the stuff they’d just poured on him. They went back into the box, taking out some thin white cloth wrapped around itself, their hands unraveling it before starting to pull it around his tail. They took something else out then, a little pink thing they placed on where the bandage ended.
“There. All fixed up. It should heal a lot faster now.” They said, gently patting his tail.
Billy looked down at it, contemplating for a bit before looking back at them. They were looking at him a bit nervously, not quite sure what to do now that he was all healed. Then the naga’s stomach growled. He looked down at it and so did the human, their eyes widening a bit.
“Oh! Uh, are you hungry? You can have some of my food…”
They quickly rummaged through their bag again, pulling out a smaller bag and opening it up, pulling what was apparently food out of it. They took half of it and handed it to him, holding it out.
“Here, you can have this.”
Billy looked at it skeptically, eying what they were offering to him.
“Go on, you can take it, it’s okay.”
Billy hesitantly took the thing out of their hand, hiding it up and sniffing at it, flicking his tongue out at it. He wrinkled his nose, holding it away from him. There was no way he was eating that.
“Okay… so you don’t want the sandwich, that’s fine. I Uhh… I have some fruit in here too…”
Billy looked at them like they were stupid.
“Do I look like I eat fruit? Snakes are carnivores.”
The human paled, backing up slightly.
“I-uh I think I’m just gonna go…”
“I didn’t mean it like that.”
His stomach growled once more, and he looked back up at the human. Maybe… maybe he could eat them, he could eat them without killing them and they’d be fine, other nagas did that. Maybe he’d just keep them to fill his stomach until he could track down those deer from earlier, then he could let the human out. But why did he want them to be fine? They were just some shitty human… but they were nice to him. No one’s ever really been nice like that. Humans were supposed to be bad… He’d figure it out later, right now he was starving.
The human yelped as they felt his tail start to snake around their legs, quickly but gently traveling up their body. They looked into his face, fear in their expression clear in their features. They shivered slightly.
“W-what are you doing, I- I…”
“I’m not- I’m not gonna hurt you.”
They must’ve noticed the drool leaking from his lips, because their eyes went wide. He could smell them. They smelled so good, he wanted to see how they tasted. He wouldn’t hurt them though, just… keep them for a bit.
“Please… please don’t…”
“I said I wasn’t gonna hurt you, okay?”
They were wrapped all the way to their neck, arms pinned to their sides and they couldn’t move. He started to open his mouth, and with a snap and pop, his jaw unhinged, allowing it to open much wider. The human whimpered as they saw the maw approach their face, saliva dripping from the fangs and tongue. They cried out as he closed it around their head, shutting his eyes as he took a deep swallow. He sighed through his nose, feeling them enter his throat as more and more of the human was pushed in and swallowed down. They were warm, and they tasted good too. He continued to gulp, uncoiling them and getting them in as fast as he could. Soon enough, only the human’s feet were left outside, and he easily swallowed them down as well, closing his lips and sealing them inside.
He sighed deeply as he felt them slide fully into his snake stomach, giving him a bit of strength to go off and find an actual meal. He could feel them squirming and struggling within him, and he felt… bad. He never felt like this when he’d eaten a human before…
“I- I helped you.”
He could hear the tears and a bit of anger in their voice and God, that made him feel worse.
“I said I wasn’t going to hurt you. I just… I was hungry so…”
“So you ate me. I should’ve known, I was so stupid not to expect this. You’re a snake. I’m just… snake food.”
“You’re not- no, you’re going to be fine. I’m just, I’m going to let you out, I just need to find something else to eat.”
They didn’t say anything else, no matter how much Billy would poke at them, say something to them, none of it worked and it made his chest tighten. He knew they were still alive, he could feel them breathing and he’d seen other nagas have live humans in their stomach for a lot longer. He supposed that eventually they might’ve passed out. From fear, exhaustion, he didn’t know, but it was probably for the best.
It felt weird though, having them in there. Sure, he’d eaten plenty of humans before, but he hadn’t ever eaten anything, let alone a human alive before. It felt odd as they moved about, even unconsciously, and the fact that he could feel their breathing. It was different. Not a bad feeling persay. It even felt kind of… good?
He shook his head and continued his search for the deer, a bit farther away now that he had that little snag. It didn’t take too long to find them though, Billy making sure he was downwind of the small group so as to not scare off his meal. He picked out one in particular, a fairly large buck that would definitely keep him full for a while, though he’d have to take the antlers off. He snuck slowly around a tree, in between bushes, directly behind the grazing animal. His tongue flickered out from between his lips, tasting the air and getting the animal’s scent. His mouth watered, and he crouched down, coiling himself up so he was ready to strike.
The buck leaned down to eat the grass once more and Billy took his opportunity. He leapt out of the bushes with a growl, grabbing onto the deer with his claws and quickly coiling tightly around it. He wrapped his arms around its neck and lunged down with his head, burying his fangs into its throat, delivering a dose of his deadly venom. He then leapt off of it, slithering a few feet away, watching as the animal struggled but eventually gave out, collapsing onto the ground within seconds. All the other deer had fled when they heard and saw the huge predator take down one of the strongest of the group.
He slithered up cautiously, making sure his meal was dead before starting to spit up the human, making room for the deer instead. It was a new experience for him, never really having to spit up prey after it’s been eaten. This isn’t prey, though, he has to remind himself, though it’s a strange thought to him. He managed to start getting the human out, using his stomach muscles to push them back up and he found it was easy after that, instincts taking over and helping to pull them the rest of the way. To say that getting them out of his mouth and throat was uncomfortable would be a bit of an understatement. It was weird, and not the most pleasant thing. He grabbed them in his hands and pulled them out gently, carefully laying them on the grass, still unconscious. He checked them over, tongue flicking and his ears listening for their breathing and heart. They were okay.
He went back over to the deer, looking down at it. He picked it up by the antlers, coiling around its neck and pulling hard on them. It didn’t take a whole lot for him then to give way and a loud crack sounded out. He tossed the broken antlers to the side, blood leaking from where they once were. His meal was ready to be eaten. He wrapped his tail around the buck, starting with its head. He stretched his mouth wide, unhinging his jaw and starting to shove it in, swallowing around his meal. He was used to this, so it didn’t take too long for the deer to make its way into his snake stomach. He sighed in satisfaction, feeling the warm meal fill him up. Then he remembered.
Billy quickly turned around, looking down at the human. He sighed, picking them up in his arms and holding them, one arm behind their knees and the other on their back, just under their neck. The human’s head hung down, as well as their arms, but they were only unconscious, Billy could still feel them breathing. They’d wake up soon. He slithered off, back into the woods, a little tired because of his full stomach and the warmth of the human but he pressed on.
Soon enough, he followed the scent back to his cave, slithering to the back of it and curling up on himself. He placed the human in the center of his coils, checking them over one more time just to make sure. They were still breathing and their heart had a steady beat. It was a little faster than his, but that might just be because they were smaller than him.
Billy lay down on top of his coils, looking down at the human with a contemplative look. Why didn’t he just eat them? Well, he did, but why not just keep them as his meal? Why did he spit them out and eat the deer instead? Maybe he could just… keep them until he got hungry again, then he could have them. But… he didn’t want to do that either. He didn’t want them to… he wanted them to be okay. He guessed that was why he even ate them. Sure he was hungry, but it also kept them safe. He still didn’t know why he did it though. Maybe it was because they weren’t mean.
The naga couldn’t help but feel the warmth from the human slowly seep onto his coils, the deer already having lost its own heat. He sighed, leaning further into his own tail, eyes slowly closing. Wait, no, he couldn’t fall asleep. The human was… they’d still be there, right? He’d feel it if they woke up. Plus he was so full. He was full and warm, both those things separately would make him tired, but combined? He didn’t stand a chance. He felt himself slowly start to drift off, the last thing he saw before closing his eyes one final time being the human, still unconscious in his tail.
——————————————————
Y/n woke with a start, not knowing where they were. They felt something cold against their back, which was weird, but then it moved. They jumped, whipping around to see… a giant snake. A huge fucking snake. Then it hit them. They looked up, seeing the human half the snake-man had and they shrieked, the last thing they remembered being this thing having eaten them. They squirmed as they felt something move again, something that was very clearly inside the snake’s stomach.
They watched as the man woke up from the shriek and the squirming from them, his tail immediately starting to rattle. They squeezed their eyes shut when he did, shaking and just waiting for him to chow down on them again. But nothing happened. They opened their eyes again to see him almost right in front of them, causing them to flinch back. He was looking at them with what looked to be a mixture of confusion and worry.
“Sorry, forgot you were there… you were warm so I kinda fell asleep.”
“What?!”
“Well I- you were still asleep so I just put you there, and then you were warm so…”
“No, no, no… you ate me!”
“Oh. I spit you out though… I didn’t hurt you like I said.”
“But you…”
“I said I wasn’t going to hurt you, you’re okay. I found something else to eat.”
“Yeah, I-I felt that…”
“Oh. It’s a deer. And that must feel weird, sorry.”
“A little. But… I’m just dessert, aren’t I? And I helped you.”
They crossed their arms, angry but also terrified.
“I didn’t hurt you. I wasn’t going to either.”
“Don’t things that get eaten usually… you know…”
“Oh, yeah. Uhh… I didn’t bite you, if I want to actually eat something I have to kill it first, so I usually bite it.”
“I don’t understand…”
He sighs.
“If you’re still alive when I eat you, you’re safe. I can’t digest you. You would already have to be dead. Like the deer, I bit it first.”
“Oh.”
Y/n looked to the deer, then back up to him, their body relaxing a slight bit. They weren’t quite sure if they could believe him all the way, but he wasn’t hurting them now, so they tried to be calm.
“Okay, that’s… okay. How’s your tail?”
They were trying to steer the conversation in another direction, but they actually did want to see how he was doing. He looked over at his tail and they did as well, seeing the bandage on it. He tried to move it a bit, wincing and sucking in a quick breath through his teeth.
“Still hurts, but it’s probably better than it would be without you helping.”
“Can I see it?”
“Why?”
“I just want to see how it looks, and change the bandages.”
“Change them?“
“Yeah. You probably bled quite a bit, and we don’t want it to get infected or anything, right? Then we might have to cut it off.”
“What?! Cut it off! There’s nothing wrong its-“
Reader laughed.
“I was just joking. Now let me see it, okay? I’ll fix it up.”
He hesitantly gave them his tail, slowly moving the portion that was injured onto their lap so they could look at it. Y/n took it and started to unwrap the bandages, taking the band-aid off first and setting it aside. Underneath, there was a whole lot of dried blood all over his scales, as well as in and around the wound. It looked like it’d stopped bleeding though, so that was good, and it seemed to be scabbing over quickly.
“Wait, where’s my bag?” They asked.
“Here.”
The snake man picked the bag up and brought it over to them, watching as they dug the first aid kit. They grabbed out the peroxide as well as clean bandages and a cloth to wipe the blood. They also got out that shirt, the one that they gave him last time. It was certainly ruined by now, so it didn’t really matter what else he did to it.
“Here, you can have this again in case you need it.”
He took the shirt with a nod, watching what they were doing with his tail. They looked up at him, making sure he was okay before uncapping the dark brown bottle, starting to pour the contents all over the wound and dried blood. They watched as he dug his claws into their shirt and winced, but didn’t make any moves to stop them. They sighed in relief and continued, taking the clean cloth and using it to wipe both the blood and the peroxide off. After it was properly cleaned and disinfected, they grabbed the bandages, starting to wrap them around his tail.
“That too tight?” They asked, looking up at him.
“It’s fine.” He said.
“Okay.”
They finished wrapping it up, sealing it once more with a little pink bandage.
“Sorry, this is the only color I have.”
“I don’t care. It’s small.”
“Alright. Feeling better?”
“Little bit. Uh, thanks, though. For helping me. You didn’t have to.”
They looked up to him, not expecting a thanks from the grumpy snake.
“Oh! It was no problem, I just can’t stand seeing animals in pain… not that you’re an animal, I don't like seeing people hurt either.”
“That’s… good. It’s good it was you, any other humans probably wouldn’t have helped.”
“I dunno, some probably would’ve.”
He sneered a bit, clearly unbelieving of them.
“No they wouldn’t have.”
“O-oh. Well, umm, you’re pretty cool, y’know?”
“What?”
“You’re cool.”
“Yeah, I mean I guess I would be since I’m cold-blooded-“
They laughed.
“No, no, I mean cool, like you’re a snake… I like snakes. What are you, exactly?”
“Oh. You do? I thought humans hated snakes. And I’m a naga.”
“A naga, huh? And a lot of us actually like snakes. I used to have a pet snake, she was nice. Not as big as you, of course, but I liked having her.”
“A pet snake?!”
“Oh! Wow, that must be weird for you. I mean, like, a regular snake, the animal, not like you.”
“Oh. I didn’t know humans had snakes as pets.”
“Some do. It’s considered more of an unusual pet, a lot wouldn’t.”
“Hm.”
“Soo, you said you were cold-blooded, right? That's so cool! I guess you’re more like a reptile then… What other things can you do like a snake? I mean I know how you eat of course…”
“Yeah, uh… I guess I shed like one?”
“Oh, really? Is it like.. all in one go, or is it in pieces, or…?”
“Oh, uhh… all in one go, mostly. We shed once a year. The tail comes off all in one, and then the spots on our upper bodies that need to shed.”
“We? There’s… more of you?”
“Yeah. Three more. There’s my little sister, Max, and then there’s Steve and Eddie. You don’t have to worry about them, though. They’re idiots.”
“Oh, you have a sister?”
“Yeah. You sure ask a lot of questions, don’t you?”
“Oh, sorry. I didn’t mean to bother you. It’s just, I mean never in my life did I think I’d find something like you, y’know? You always ready the stories about dragons and princesses and whatnot, but only in fairy tales.”
“I’m not a dragon.”
They laughed.
“You’re not, no. But you’re similar! I mean you’re both reptiles, right?“
“I guess.”
“This is just so cool. To find something like you and then just… have a conversation like we are. It’s so surreal.”
“Yeah? You think I’m cool? I thought you’d be afraid, y’know?”
“Oh, it’s still scary, but not as much. You’re not doing anything mean or hurting me.”
“Yeah, I guess.”
“Oh, wait. Duh, silly me. I never asked your name. Mine’s y/n.”
“Oh. Uh, Billy.”
“Billy, huh? Nice na-“
They were cut off when a new voice sounded in the cave, Billy quickly grabbing them and shoving them underneath his tail, covering them up with his massive coils.
“Billy, who are you talking to in here?”
“No one, fuck off.”
“Wow, okay. I literally just came in and asked a question.”
“Don’t you ever, I don’t know, announce your presence before just barging in?”
Y/n shifted slightly in the coils, their leg in an uncomfortable position. The coils on top of them were heavy, and a portion of them was crushing their leg.
“What do you have?”
“What the hell do you mean?”
“I just saw your tail move.”
“I just ate, Maxine. What the hell do you think it is?”
“What’s on your tail?”
“There’s nothing on my tail.”
“Really? Because I think I’d have remembered if you had white scales.”
“It’s just something that got stuck to me while I was hunting. Didn’t have a chance to take it off because you just fucking barged in here.”
There was a pause, they assumed the other person that came in was probably his sister, another naga. She was probably assessing the situation, looking at her brother. They held their breath.
“Whatever. You better tell me why you’re acting so weird tomorrow.”
“I’m not acting weird!”
“Yeah, okay.”
The naga waited a few more seconds, making sure his sister was gone before moving his tail off of y/n, causing them to let out a breath of air, quickly breathing in after. They were no longer weighed down by both the heavy coils, and the deer inside of them.
“Oh, are you okay? I wasn’t hurting you, was I?”
“No, no. It’s just… you’re really heavy, especially with the deer.”
“Sorry, that was my sister.”
“I figured as much. It’s okay.”
They continued to just breathe for a bit, now being able to better. They then looked outside, seeing that the sun was going down and it was starting to get a bit dark. They slumped a bit, knowing they had to start heading home. They were tired anyway, was it really that late? Maybe they’d be able to come back tomorrow, and possibly bring him something to eat for breakfast, if he was even hungry. He did have that deer.
“Oh, it’s getting late… I should probably head home. I really hope I wasn’t bothering you.”
They began to get up, making their way towards the entrance when they felt a hand grab their arm. They let out a little squeak, looking back at the naga.
“What is it?”
“You… you can stay here if you want. For the night.”
“Oh?”
“Yeah, I mean I know we just slept a bit, but it was only for an hour or two.”
“You want me to stay?”
“Only if you want. You don’t have to… but you’re warm.”
“Oooh, I see. You want your own personal heater.”
“Whatever. You don’t have to stay, it was just a suggestion.”
“I’m joking with you. I’ll stay. Long as you don’t eat me in my sleep or something.”
“What? No, I’m not-“
“It was a joke! I know you’re not.”
“Oh.”
Billy slithered over to a corner with what looked to be covered with soft leaves and other things that might make it a comfortable spot. He curled up on top, resting on top of his coils and looking over at them expectantly.
“This is where I usually sleep. Uh… make yourself comfortable I guess.”
“Oh, okay.”
They walked over to the naga, sitting on the edge of the leaf bed. Billy rolled his eyes.
“You can get closer. I don’t bite.” He said with a grin.
“Right, yeah.”
They stepped closer, sitting on the leaves and laying against his coils. They sighed, feeling the coolness of them against their skin, shifting ever so slightly. They jumped a bit when the end of his tail started slowly wrapping around them.
“What are you doing?”
“Oh. Didn’t realize I was doing it. You’re warm.”
“Ah, of course.”
They let him wrap his tail slowly around their body, yelping a bit when he pulled them closer. They knew it didn’t mean anything, or at least it probably didn’t. He was just using them for their warmth, which was fair. He was cold-blooded after all, and they did say that they’d stay for the night. Plus he wasn’t human, so they didn’t even know if human things meant the same. They shook the thoughts out of their head, just focusing on getting comfortable within the snake-man’s coils. He was already asleep, so it wasn’t like they had much else to do. They closed their eyes, letting out a sigh and falling asleep for the second time with the naga.

VANOSSGAMING
Oh my God, I almost died, you fuck.
Please don’t die.
No, don’t die, don’t die!
Is he dead, did he die?
He died!
Alright, off to a terrible start.
Looking for a shipwreck, looking for a shipwreck~
Okay, we found it, now what?
We gotta kill this fucking guy.
I just teleported.
We gotta find the dungeon, right?
He’s almost dead, he’s almost dead!
I don’t fucking know, just run!
Do we have to kill more?
Hold on, I’m in a tornado.
Close the door!
We’re fine, right?
Am I dead now?
Yeah, it was pretty cool, it was pretty cool, it was like an action movie.
We were winning!
WILDCAT
We should not be allowed to cheat.
Bitch, I got him, I knew it was you.
I'm done with it, I'm just shooting anyone.
I was watching you study that guy.
Don't worry, I insta-avenged you.
I don't know what he is anymore.
That's how my garage is going to look like in a few days.
Oh my gosh, he's so fast.
That looks fun as fuck.
That scared the shit out of me for a second, I thought for sure I was dead.
BASICALLYIDOWRK
Cautiously, let's find our stuff.
This was a fucking mistake.
I mean, I think we need a better strategy.
This one's pretty standard.
Do we need to start drinking?
I got the gold!
Look at our fucking score!
I don't like the way you said that.
Well, I fucking did!
What is knocking me over?
NOGLA
I could’ve actually, if I was funny.
I’m so proud of you!
You stupid fuck!
I didn’t gargle nothing.
Are you going to get me back?
Use the other one now.
It was just really delayed.
You’re never wrong.
Someone could have jumped in and I'm gonna note that down…
Good communication, guys.
H2ODELIRIOUS
What do you mean he flew?
I want to show you what I am.
He’s flying in the sky, how are you flying in the sky?
I was running from nothing, shit.
I still got a chance.
I thought I could jump through that window, that’s what I was trying to do at first.
Get the heck off me.
I’m right above you.
Let’s both get on this.
That’s right, I’m all powerful.
TERRORISER
Somebody take a crucifix and drop it on the floor.
We're gonna die.
Do you hear that noise?
Where the fuck was he?
Was that Slenderman?
Is he using it?
There he is.
Yes, Jesus Christ, do you need someone to hold your dick when you piss?
No, he ran through the salt, I'm gonna die!
Oh, wait, that's you…is that you in the picture?
SMII7Y
What are you getting me to draw right now?
It looks like one of your art pieces.
I haven't paid you a single cent.
Wait, you're on my team?
I can't move cause you're on my goddamn wing!
Oh my God, you hit him so hard!
I didn't throw anything, I just shot you in the head.
I’m looking away.
Alright, nah, you can die.
We just spoke it into existence, didn't we.
BIGPUFFER
Oh no, he's on fire!
I'm going to the boat, bye.
Is this how sailboats work, what is happening?
You spawned right in front of me.
What the fuck, you look dead, that doesn't look comfy.
Why is the couch like this?
I knew it, I fucking knew it, I knew your ass was gonna back out!
This is actually a cry for help.
Come here, let me kiss you.
What the hell am I doing here?
GRIZZY
I got carried away.
That was such a hard brake.
Thank God, it saved me.
I need motherfucking help.
I think our car is almost broken.
I'm gonna break the rock, ready?
Is it just us vs them?
I'm so gonna die.
Yeah, that's crazy.
Do not leave your car.
BLARG
Oh, I'm on fire, look at that.
I tried to shoot you in the face, I hope you understand that.
There looks like there has been a murder, I'm here to investigate.
It'll be fine, just drive, we'll be good.
Trust me.
Don't do that.
Where are we sailing to?
To be honest, I would rather have flew into a tree and died than made it.
What are you doing with a gun?
See you later, boys, I'm going to the ocean.

Facets: Chapter Fourteen
Summary: We focus on Villainverse’s Patoto and Kinpa again for the first time in a while!  This time, though, Patoto finds someone he thought to be long lost, as well as a surprise along the way...!
Author Notes: this one is a lot. but yay! enjoy
--
Shot begins with a view of PATOTO and KINPA on some planet in a cave on a cliffside.  They’re eating food in their camp in front of a fire.  Zoom in on PATOTO, who seems broodier than usual, then show KINPA about to bite into his food when he notices PATOTO.
KINPA …  Is something wrong, Patoto?  You’ve hardly eaten.
PATOTO No.  I was just...thinking.
KINPA Oh?  About what?
PATOTO About what those guys said about those things--the dragon balls.  They can be used to bring people back from the dead.
KINPA Ah, right.  Yes, that is rather extraordinary…
He hesitates.
KINPA …  Wait, Patoto, what are you thinking about doing?
PATOTO …  Maybe it’s not too late.  Maybe…
KINPA Patoto, think about this.  Are you sure you want to interrupt your mother’s rest after all this time?  What if she doesn’t want to be revived?  Maybe she’s found peace.
PATOTO I know.  I just…  I don’t think that was the case.  I know she wouldn’t have been satisfied with it ending like that.  I know she was a warrior, and it’s a great honor to die in battle, but...she wasn’t ready to leave me yet.  I know she wasn’t.
KINPA Was she not ready to leave you, or were you not ready for her to leave?
PATOTO falls silent and looks away.  KINPA sighs after a moment.
KINPA …  Patoto.  I will be behind you one hundred percent, no matter what you choose to do.  I just want you to think this through before making any rash decisions like that.
PATOTO closes his eyes for a moment before looking over at KINPA again.
PATOTO …  I want to at least try.  If she comes back and really doesn’t want to be here anymore, then...at least I got to see her one more time.
KINPA …  Okay.  I’ll search for the nearest planet with dragon balls on it.
Shot shows PATOTO looking gratefully at him.  Shot then cuts to Namek, where PATOTO and KINPA’s ships are parked.  They’re walking into a village.
KINPA This should be it…
Some namekians come out and give them wary looks.  An elder walks forward.
KINPA Hello.  We were wondering if you could help us with something.
ELDER You want to use the dragon balls, don’t you?
KINPA …  I assume that must be a popular request.
ELDER Yes.  And the answer is no, unless you can convince us that your intentions are good and your wish will not bring harm. PATOTO I want to bring my mother back to life.
The elder looks at him skeptically, but then good ol’ CHLEA comes out from behind him.
CHLEA He’s telling the truth, Elder.  Their intentions aren’t malicious.
ELDER …  Mnh.  Fine.  If Chlea trusts you, then I shall as well, but just this once.  Chlea will guide you from here.
PATOTO and KINPA look at each other.  Cut to the dragon balls being gathered.  CHLEA summons NOBITU, and PATOTO and KINPA look up at him in awe.
CHLEA You said you wanted to wish your mother back to life, yes?  What was her name?
PATOTO Zumeg.
CHLEA Alright.
CHLEA turns to NOBITU.
CHLEA Papitto ratonguge Zumeg baasatto!
There’s a pause before NOBITU speaks.
NOBITU I cannot grant this wish.
PATOTO and KINPA look confused.  CHLEA turns to face them again.
CHLEA I’m sorry…  It must be a restriction of the dragon balls I didn’t know about.
PATOTO frowns.
PATOTO …  It’s been over twenty years; it’s probably too late after all.
Cut to PATOTO and KINPA heading back to their ships.
KINPA I’m sorry it didn’t work out, Patoto…
PATOTO It’s...fine.
PATOTO stops before they get to their ships, and KINPA looks back at him.
PATOTO …  Kinpa.
KINPA Yes?
PATOTO There’s something else I want you to look into for me.
KINPA Of course.  What is it?
Shot of Patoto’s face.  Scene changes to show a new planet with a dark sky and reddish rocks everywhere.  Show PATOTO’s boot coming into frame as he steps on the rocky terrain.  Pan up to show him looking ahead, then show what he’s looking at--a man, seemingly a saiyan, sitting on a rock in front of a fire a ways ahead of him.  PATOTO steps closer until he’s a few yards away, and the man looks up from the hunk of meat he’s eating.  It doesn’t show his face, yet.
TARBA If you’re here to fight, you’d better let me finish my meal first, or I’ll be sure to make your death ten times as painful.
PATOTO Hello to you, too, Tarba.
TARBA hesitates before turning around, revealing his face this time, and he squints with his one good eye (the other is scarred shut).
TARBA …  How do you know my name?  I don’t remember meeting you before.
PATOTO Figures.  You left before I could even talk.
The gears seem to turn in Tarba’s head, and he suddenly stands up.
TARBA …  Patoto…?
PATOTO sort of grimaces.
TARBA How did you...find me?
PATOTO I have connections.
TARBA …  Zumeg probably had something to do with it, didn’t she?  Don’t tell me--she sent you to send me a message because she doesn’t want to see me ever again.
PATOTO Zumeg has been dead for over twenty years, Tarba.
TARBA freezes.
TARBA …  What?
PATOTO You heard me.
TARBA seems to have a hard time processing this, and he eventually looks elsewhere.  He looks genuinely distraught by this information.  He ends up sitting down again.
TARBA …  How did it happen?
PATOTO She was killed in a battle on a foreign planet.  They never brought back her body.
TARBA pauses.
TARBA And...what happened to you afterward?
PATOTO I was taken to an orphanage and spent the rest of my life training to be the strongest I could be so that I could live for her.
TARBA hangs his head quietly.
TARBA …  I just...can’t believe it.  I didn’t think anything would be able to take Zumeg down.  I thought she’d…
He rubs his face.
PATOTO You seem pretty torn-up about this.  I’m surprised--you never made any effort to show us you ever cared.
TARBA Did you just come here to scold me, or did you want something?
PATOTO I just wanted to see if you were still out there somewhere.  I guess I got my answer.
TARBA looks at the ground, not answering.
PATOTO …  I do want to know one thing, though.  Mom always said that you left because you thought battling was more important than your family.  Is that true?
TARBA That’s what I told her when I left.
PATOTO You say that as if that wasn’t the real reason.
TARBA pauses for a few moments before sighing.
TARBA …  Zumeg caught my attention on the battlefield a long time ago.  She was resilient and strong as hell, and she didn’t take any nonsense from anyone.  Even me.  The more time we spent together, the more I looked forward to calling her my partner.  When the time came, I was...so excited to have a child with her.  But…
He looks away again.
TARBA …  As soon as I saw you, and how fragile you were, I...I don’t know.  Something struck me.  Suddenly I just felt…  I felt like I wasn’t ready.  I felt like I was going to make a horrible mistake and ruin everything.  I thought that maybe it was my body telling me that I wasn’t fit for settling down, that battling was in my blood and that’s what I should have been focused on instead, but…I realized later that I was just afraid.  I was afraid of not living up to the standard that you and Zumeg deserved.  I guess I thought leaving would be the best way to avoid letting you down.
He scowls at himself.
TARBA What a stupid decision that was…
PATOTO Did you love her?
TARBA Of course I did.  I loved you both...and I never stopped.  I had planned to one day go and find her to maybe try and apologize, to at least let her know that I regretted what I’d done, but...I guess I missed that opportunity.  I waited too long.
PATOTO seems to think about something for a moment.
PATOTO …  One last thing, then.
PATOTO walks over and takes a seat next to TARBA, who looks at him questioningly.
PATOTO How do you plan on making it up to me?
TARBA …  You’d...give me that chance?
PATOTO crosses his arms.
PATOTO Unless you’d rather me leave and forget I ever saw you.  It wouldn’t be that hard.
TARBA …  Fair enough.
PATOTO So?  What’ll it be?
TARBA Of course I’d like to make it up to you.  I just...don’t know where to begin.  I was never there for your whole life.  You were my only child, and I never learned how to treat you because I never bothered to be there…
PATOTO You can start by cutting the shit with feeling sorry for yourself.  It’s been established that you screwed up.  Find something else to talk about.
TARBA sort of looks awkward for a moment.  There’s a short pause.
TARBA …  I see you’re wearing her armor.
PATOTO It’s a reminder.
TARBA Of her?
PATOTO Partially.  A reminder of her, and a reminder to keep moving forward.
TARBA It looks like you’ve done a pretty good job of it…
PATOTO I’ve had to.
TARBA looks away uncomfortably again.  He eventually sighs.
TARBA …  Patoto, it’s obvious that you resent me, and I don’t blame you.  You’ve lived this long--thrived, even--without me there to support you, and there’s...no good reason for me to try and push my way into your life after all this time.
PATOTO kind of grimaces.
TARBA …  But, that’s not going to stop me from trying to make it up to you.
PATOTO looks over at him in surprise.
TARBA I’ll never learn how to be a father if I quit before I even start.  I’m done being afraid of not knowing if I’ll be good enough.  I’m not going to let that hold me back anymore.
PATOTO gives him a sidelong glance.
TARBA I want to...try.
PATOTO seems to decide something, then.
PATOTO Are you on a mission here?
TARBA …  No.  I left the force a long time ago; I couldn’t focus anymore and I kept getting in the way.
PATOTO So you have nowhere to be?
TARBA No.
PATOTO gets up and starts to walk away.
TARBA Where are you going?
PATOTO Back to my camp.  It’s in a wooded area not far from here.
He stops and looks over his shoulder.
PATOTO If you want to follow, I won’t stop you.
With that, he flies into the air, leaving TARBA behind.  Cut to him landing in front of the wooded place and starting to walk towards the trees.  TARBA suddenly lands behind him.
TARBA Patoto!
PATOTO stops and looks behind him.
TARBA I have to know.  Why did you decide to give me this chance?
PATOTO …  You said you wanted to try.  That already exceeded the expectations I had for you.
He then turns and walks into the trees.  TARBA hesitates before following.  Cut to KINPA eating in front of a fire set up in their camp with a tent behind him off a ways.  He notices PATOTO entering the camp and looks up at him.
KINPA Welcome back.  Did you find who you were looking for?
PATOTO sits down.
PATOTO Yeah.
KINPA You never told me who he was.  Was he an old colleague?
PATOTO He wishes.
TARBA suddenly steps through the brush, and they both look at him.  TARBA notices KINPA.
TARBA …  You didn’t mention you had someone with you.
PATOTO I didn’t mention a lot of things.  Are you gonna sit down or what?
TARBA shifts uncomfortably before sitting across from them.  KINPA leans over to PATOTO.
KINPA Is...this who you came to find?
PATOTO Yes.
KINPA Well…  If you’re a friend of Patoto’s, then I suppose I should welcome you.  My name is Kinpa.  It’s a pleasure to meet you.
TARBA stares at him for a moment before looking at PATOTO.
TARBA I’m guessing this is a bodyguard situation, because I can’t imagine they’d pair you up with a scrawny thing like him.
KINPA looks annoyed at being ignored.
PATOTO Don’t underestimate him.  He could snap you in half if he wanted to.
TARBA scoffs.
PATOTO That wasn’t a joke.
TARBA looks from PATOTO to KINPA, then turns awkwardly to look elsewhere.
KINPA This is usually the part where you tell me your name, you know.
KINPA goes to eat some food.
KINPA Not that I’d expect you to know what manners are…
TARBA I’m Tarba.  I’m Patoto’s father.
KINPA starts choking, and PATOTO whaps his back to dislodge the food.  He covers his mouth with the back of his hand.
KINPA Goodness.  I...can’t believe I didn’t notice the resemblance sooner.
TARBA He mostly takes after his mother.  The only big thing he got from me was his hair.
PATOTO huffs and looks away.  Cut to a view of the sky, then a view of them all sitting there after they finished eating.  KINPA yawns.
PATOTO You gonna turn in already?
KINPA I suppose I should…  I am rather tired.
KINPA gets up and starts to walk to the tent.
PATOTO See you in the morning, then.
KINPA Of course.  Don’t stay up too late.
As KINPA passes him, he brushes his cheek with his tail before heading off to the tent.  TARBA definitely notices that shit.
TARBA …  Are you two…?
PATOTO What?
TARBA Uh…  Nothing.
They look away from each other for a minute.
TARBA …  He seems decent enough.
PATOTO He keeps me grounded.
Suddenly, there’s an explosion off in the distance.  They both look towards it, and KINPA pokes out of the tent.
KINPA What in the world was that?
TARBA It sounded like an explosion off in that direction.
PATOTO No shit.  It was probably just the native species having a quarrel.
KINPA gets out of the tent and walks up to PATOTO.
KINPA Well, go solve their dispute.
PATOTO What?
KINPA You know very well I can’t sleep with fighting going on.  Go make them be quiet.
PATOTO sighs and gets up.
PATOTO Fine.
TARBA Should I come help?
PATOTO I can handle this by myself.  You stay put.
He then flies off.  TARBA and KINPA are left looking at each other.
KINPA …  Pleasant weather on this planet, isn’t it?
TARBA gives him an awkward look.  Cut to PATOTO landing in a village that looks destroyed as hell.  He walks around the rubble until he comes upon DOCK, who’s cornering a villager.
PATOTO Hey, you!
DOCK looks behind him.  The villager uses this time to escape, and DOCK growls before looking at PATOTO.
DOCK Well, what do we have here?  A poor drongo who don’t know he just walked into trouble?
PATOTO I’m guessing you were the one that trashed this village.
DOCK What if I was?  Not much you can do about it now, mate.
PATOTO You’d better stop, if you know what’s good for you.
DOCK ‘S that right?  And who are you to tell me what to do?
PATOTO Name’s Patoto.  Not like it’ll matter in a minute.
DOCK Patoto, eh?  Well, then.  I’m Dock.  It’s always nice to meet another saiyan out here, ain’t it?
PATOTO Not when they’re being annoying like you.
DOCK huffs.
DOCK You’re lookin’ to have a blue, aren’t ya?  Fine by me.  You made me lose that bloke just now, so I’ll just hafta take you instead.
PATOTO Good luck, I guess.
DOCK Tch!  Looks like ya don’t know what yer up against.  Let me show ya somethin’.
DOCK suddenly powers up to Super Saiyan.  To his annoyance, PATOTO just smirks.
DOCK Oi, what’s so funny?
PATOTO It’s my turn.
PATOTO powers up to Super Saiyan Four.  DOCK is a little put-off, but he growls and charges in anyway.
DOCK That ain’t scarin me, mate!
PATOTO doesn’t move until DOCK gets close.  He waits until he’s right up on him before reeling back and socking him right in the gut, taking him out in one hit.  DOCK collapses, holding his stomach and spitting up slobber as he powers down.  PATOTO grabs him by the neck and holds him up.
PATOTO Spill it.  Are you on a mission, or are you working alone?  You don’t look like you’re from the Sadala Army.
DOCK is choking.
DOCK What does it...matter?  Who...cares?
PATOTO squeezes his neck.
DOCK Ack--!!  Alright--!  I was...sent by the Supernova Organization…!  They told me to...cause as much chaos as I wanted...while they looked for more people to recruit…!  They said I could live...as long as I did that!
PATOTO Recruit?  What for?
DOCK They said somethin’ about...spreading out from the planet...taking over new planets...buildin’ an empire, or somethin’.
PATOTO frowns before dropping him, and he rubs his neck.
PATOTO Are they still on this planet?
DOCK Yeah.  Their headquarters are just south of here.
PATOTO looks to the south and squints.  DOCK takes this opportunity to try and escape, but PATOTO steps on his tail and makes him yelp.
PATOTO Where do you think you’re going?
DOCK What do you mean…?!
PATOTO If I let you go, you’re just going to cause more trouble, aren’t you?
DOCK What do you care?  This planet ain’t worth a thing!  Ain’t you a saiyan, mate?  Why’s it matter to you if I cause a little chaos?  It’s what we do!
PATOTO holds out his hand.
PATOTO Wrong answer.
DOCK looks suddenly terrified.
DOCK W-wait, don’t--!
Too late.  PATOTO blasts him to smithereens in one attack.  He then stands there and looks off into the distance.  Shot cuts to a huge, black building that looks like a bad guy hideout--it’s the Supernova Organization’s HQ.  PATOTO lands in front of it.  He walks up to the entrance, where a bunch of guards are posted.  They stop him.
GUARD Stop!  No unauthorized visitors.  Turn around or die.
PATOTO gives them a look.  Cut to show one of the guards being slammed against the wall.  Zoom out to show all guards have been taken out.  PATOTO walks up to the entrance and blasts a hole through it before entering through the dust.  When the dust clears, he’s in a hallway.  He walks down the hall to a door at the end, which opens for him as he walks through.  The door then closes and locks behind him.  He is now in a big chamber with a few doors on the other side.  He looks around, sensing something’s wrong.  A voice comes over an intercom.
VOICE Welcome, intruder.  It seems you think you’re tough enough to invade our organization’s headquarters.  We’ll soon set you straight.
PATOTO rolls his eyes.  Another door opens and reveals a few shadowy figures.
VOICE If you can defeat our warriors, you may have a chance of passing through to the next area.  But that is very unlikely.
A bunch of figures come out of the shadows.  They all have weird masks on.  PATOTO furrows his brow, but then gets into a battle stance.  The warriors all come at him at once, and he lowers his head.  Cue montage of PATOTO knocking everyone out in one hit.  When he’s done, he stands in the middle of them all.
PATOTO Are we done?
VOICE …  Impressive.  But there is one warrior left you must pass.
Another door opens and a single shadowy figure emerges.  It’s a saiyan woman with a similar mask on her face.
PATOTO You guys really like using saiyans to do your dirty work, don’t you?
VOICE They are the most efficient.  You should know, being a saiyan yourself.  Now--enjoy your last battle.
The saiyan and PATOTO stand in front of each other for a moment before they both move into their respective battle positions.  They stare at each other quietly for a few seconds before they launch at each other and begin to battle.  They go back and forth with punches and kicks, and the saiyan actually pushes PATOTO back for a bit.  After getting knocked back with a kick, PATOTO seems to have had enough of that, and he powers up to Super Saiyan.  The woman steps back a little in surprise before she’s rammed by PATOTO at full force.  He knocks her back and she skids on her feet, but she’s not given time to react before he kicks her square in the face, sending her spinning back through the air.  The mask is broken, and she lands face-down.  PATOTO steps closer as she pushes herself onto her elbows.  He holds out his hand to fire one final blast.
PATOTO You’re a saiyan, so I’ll give you the honor of dying by another saiyan’s hand.  Face me.
The woman is silent for a moment, just holding her head with one hand.  She eventually turns to face him, and he realizes that she’s actually ZUMEG.  He lowers his hand and takes a step back in utter disbelief.  ZUMEG scowls.
ZUMEG Well?  What’s the holdup?
PATOTO stares at her for a little while before turning around and blasting a hole through the door he came through.  He keeps his back turned to her.
PATOTO …  Get out of here.
ZUMEG …  What?
PATOTO I said, get out of here.  The guards out front are taken care of.  Escape.
ZUMEG Are you not going to finish me off?  What kind of saiyan--
PATOTO snaps at her.
PATOTO Go!
ZUMEG shuts up.  She seems wary, but she does get up and run off to the exit.  She stops to turn around and look back at him.
ZUMEG What are you gonna do?
PATOTO starts walking in the other direction.
PATOTO I’m going to take this place down.
ZUMEG Tch…  Good luck.
She then bolts out of the building.  She emerges outside and takes a breath of fresh air before continuing forward.
ZUMEG Take the place down…  Yeah, right.  If he thinks he can take down the entire organization--
The building explodes behind her, making her skid to a stop and look back.  She looks awestruck as she watches the entire building catch on fire and explode everywhere.  She sees PATOTO walking out the way he came in, no longer a Super Saiyan.  She warily watches him walk up to her.
ZUMEG …  You…  Who are you?  Why did you let me go?  Why did you take down an organization that has nothing to do with you?
PATOTO Answer this first.  How long have you been with them, and what for?
ZUMEG seems a little peeved that he answered with a question, but she continues anyway.
ZUMEG …  Probably over twenty years.  I’ve lost count.  They captured me during a battle on some planet I can’t remember, and I’ve not been able to escape since.  They use these masks that somehow dull my sense of free will, so that’s made things a lot harder.
PATOTO looks a little upset.
PATOTO They used mind control on you…?
He looks back at the burning building and scowls.
PATOTO Bastards…
ZUMEG Now it’s your turn.  Tell me who you are and why you saved me.
PATOTO You wanna know why I took them down and let you go?
ZUMEG Yeah.
PATOTO I let you go because I knew you deserved a better ending than that.  As for why I took them out...I wanted to make them pay for taking my mother from me.
ZUMEG looks at the building.
ZUMEG They took your mother, huh?  I understand.  They took me from my...son…
She slowly realizes what’s going on, and she looks at PATOTO for a moment, seeming to recognize him finally.
ZUMEG …  Patoto?
PATOTO gives her a soft look.  She steps closer and pulls him down into a hug.
ZUMEG Oh, my god…  I thought I’d never get to see you again.
PATOTO I thought you were dead…
ZUMEG pulls back and looks at him with a little grin.
ZUMEG You really thought anybody could take your mom down like that?
PATOTO smiles a little bittersweetly.
PATOTO Something told me you wouldn’t have gone out that easily.
ZUMEG You’re damn right.
PATOTO hugs her tightly again.  Cut to KINPA and TARBA sitting around the fire.  KINPA looks like he’s about to pass out.  PATOTO suddenly walks through the brush, and he sits up when he notices.
KINPA It’s about time!  Where have you been all this time?  You must have run into trouble that made you take that long.
PATOTO Sorry.  I got a little sidetracked.
TARBA I didn’t take you as the type to lose focus on missions.  I’m surpr--
He stops immediately when he sees ZUMEG walk in behind PATOTO.  He then shoots to his feet.  KINPA looks absolutely awestruck.  ZUMEG only sees him at first.
ZUMEG I see you made a...little orange friend.  What’s your name, kid?
KINPA I-I’m Kinpa!  It’s very nice to meet you, Zumeg!
ZUMEG I guess Patoto’s told you all about me, then.
She suddenly notices TARBA, and she immediately scowls.
ZUMEG Well…  Look who it is.  Of all the people I expected to meet today, you weren’t on the list at all. TARBA seems frozen in place.  He doesn’t respond.
ZUMEG What?  Too afraid to speak to me?  Didn’t think you’d ever have to see my face again, did you?
TARBA starts to, on god, tear up.
TARBA …  Zumeg…  I…  I thought you were…
ZUMEG looks a little uneasy that that.
ZUMEG Holy shit, Tarba, what’s wrong with you?
PATOTO He thought you were dead, because that’s what I told him.  We both thought we’d never see you again.
ZUMEG Yeah, but why does he care so much?  He left us and never looked back.  Don’t tell me he actually regrets it or something.
PATOTO I think you should at least give him a chance to talk.  It might shed some light on things.
ZUMEG gives PATOTO a skeptical look, then looks back to TARBA.  She sighs.
ZUMEG …  Fine.  You have five minutes, but only because Patoto said so.
TARBA gives a grateful look to PATOTO.  Cut to later, when PATOTO and KINPA are sitting together while ZUMEG and TARBA are off to the side having a conversation.
KINPA So she was alive the whole time…  That must be why the dragon balls couldn’t bring her back.  She wasn’t dead to begin with.
Shot of ZUMEG and TARBA talking. KINPA I do hope they work things out…  It’s not every day you get a chance like this.
PATOTO He’s one lucky bastard, I’ll give him that.
KINPA yawns, leaning his head on PATOTO.
KINPA I suppose you are, too, aren’t you?
PATOTO …  Yeah.  I guess you’re right.
Focus on TARBA and ZUMEG.
TARBA …  So, that’s the real reason why I left.  I was going to find you and tell you the truth one day, but...months turned into years, and...I guess I thought you wouldn’t want to hear it anymore.
ZUMEG I honestly can’t believe it…
TARBA I know it’s stupid.  You don’t have to believe me, and you don’t have to forgive me.  I just wanted to give you closure after all this time.
ZUMEG No, I mean…  I can’t believe you left because of that.
TARBA looks at her questioningly.
ZUMEG Tarba, did you honestly believe I wouldn’t have stayed with you if you messed up sometimes?  You think I would’ve kicked you out for not knowing what to do all the time?  Of course you wouldn’t know how to raise a family; you’d never done it before!  If you were going to make mistakes, I would have made just as many.  But it would have been fine, because we woulda been making them together.  That’s what being partners is about, Tarba.  I wouldn’t have loved you any less.  You get it?
TARBA looks down, ashamed.  ZUMEG sighs.
ZUMEG … You really let me go all these years thinking you didn’t care about me or our son, and then you show up just to tell me that was a lie to cover up the fact that you were afraid of letting us down.  That’s the part I can’t believe.
TARBA I’m...so sorry, Zumeg…
ZUMEG holds up her hand.
ZUMEG Enough apologizing.  I want you to listen to me now.  When I chose to be your partner, I did it because I saw a strong man--not just physically, but in your heart, too.  If you woulda just looked past your fears enough to see it yourself...maybe things wouldn’t’ve ended up like this.
TARBA looks...so sad.
TARBA I--I realize that.  I’m sorry.  I’ll leave you alone.
He starts to walk away, but she grabs his arm and makes him turn around.
ZUMEG Not so fast.
TARBA …?
ZUMEG Didn’t you promise your son somethin’ about makin’ things up to him?  How’re you gonna do that if you’re not here?  You gonna just up and leave again?
TARBA looks at PATOTO, then back at ZUMEG.
TARBA …  No.  I won’t leave again.
ZUMEG That’s what I thought.
Cut to PATOTO and KINPA.  PATOTO looks up to see ZUMEG and TARBA walking over to them.
PATOTO So?  How did it go?
ZUMEG He’s got a lotta work to do if he ever wants to make things right with me.
TARBA looks away sadly.
ZUMEG …  Lucky for him, I don’t plan on getting captured ever again, so he has loads of time to do it.
TARBA looks up rather hopefully.  PATOTO taps KINPA to wake him up, and KINPA looks delirious for a moment.
KINPA Mnh…?
PATOTO You should head to the tent and get some rest.  I’m gonna be up for a while longer.
KINPA Ah…  Very well.  Don’t stay up too late.
KINPA gives him a little kiss on the cheek before going to the tent.  PATOTO then stands up and walks over to his parents.  He looks at them softly for a moment before giving a little huff of laughter and looking away.  ZUMEG moves and places her hand on his arm, and TARBA also places a hand on his shoulder.  He looks at them both again with a little smile.  ZUMEG then steps back.
ZUMEG …  So.  I can tell you’ve gotten a lot stronger.  When are you gonna show me how powerful you’ve gotten since I’ve been gone?
PATOTO gives a little smirk.  Shot shows KINPA watching them from the tent.
PATOTO (off-screen) Let’s get away from here first.  I don’t want to wake Kinpa up with my power.
KINPA smiles softly before ducking into the tent.  Shot pans up to a view of the sky.

Okay, but what WAS Axe up to?
A spinoff fanfic based around Axe (the Fraxure, now Haxorus) from pofatrgwf, and what he's been doing.
Chapter 1 link on AO3 below
Summary: "Axe died thirteen years ago. He was the first human to arrive in the Pokemon world. So what WAS he up to?"
There was a human child named Axle. Even though his family struggled financially, he was happy in life. But he never interacted with anyone else. His only friend was the family pet Fraxure, who he considered more as an older brother. Despite a language barrier, the two completely understood each other. In fact, Axle was very good at understanding Pokemon. To him, there was no difference between humans and Pokemon, both were people.
When Axle was 7 years old, some armed burglars broke into his family’s apartment. He hid under a table and saw his parents get killed. His older brother tried attacking the burglars, but ended up getting shot in the chest. He saw Axle under the table and told him to run. Axle then dashed out from the table and ran to the door. But suddenly…
BANG!
The next thing he knew, Axle was in a blue void. And his head hurt. A LOT. He rolled on the ground, screaming in pain. There was a voice trying to talk to him, but he was in way too much pain to listen. A few minutes of screaming later, he calmed down. The voice started talking again.
“Axle. Your life has been cut short. Too short. I would not usually do this, but I have decided to make an exception for you.”
Axle looked towards the source of the voice and saw a large white Pokemon.
“Arceus??” Just seeing Arceus shocked him, but then Axle realized what he said. “I’M DEAD??”
“Unfortunately, yes. Normally, I would simply let you pass on, but I've decided to give you a second chance at life."
"ok"
"You're… fine with that? No questions asked?"
"My entire family died right in front of me, it's not like I have anything to come back to."
Then the floor underneath him revealed the sky. And then he fell.
----
Axle had already been through enough pain in one day to last a lifetime, so when he hit the ground, he just lied on the floor, too tired to even feel pain anymore. But that wouldn't stop him from crying.
A few hours later, a Nidoran found him asleep. He dragged him all the way to his house, and waited for him to wake up. When he did, Axle was lost in thought, not moving a muscle.
('Today has definitely been the worst day of my life. I don't think it could get any worse than thi-')
Axle's thoughts were interrupted by the Nidoran poking his face. He'd actually been poking him for a while, but Axle just noticed now. He decided to ignore him.
"Dude, are you okay?" asked the Nidoran. "You're not even reacting to my pokes. You dead inside or something?"
Axle sat up. "Considering that I actually, legitimately, really died, for real, like a few hours ago, maybe."
"what"
"Look, today's been possibly the worst day of my life. Dying really hurts."
As Axle turned his head to sleep on his side (again), he accidentally smacked the Nidoran's head with his tusk. "Oh, sorry about tha… Wait a second." Axle then looked down at his body and realized he was no longer human, but rather, an Axew. "I die, then become an Axew… how fitting…"
"You're pretty weird. Anyways, what's ya name?"
"It's Axle. Yours?"
"Nido. N-I-D-O. For some reason, everyone keeps saying 'Needle' instead. It's Nido. So, Axel-"
"It's Axle, not Axel."
"I… said that?"
"You said Axel, not Axle."
"But, that's the same thing?? I can't tell the difference."
"I know, but I can tell you're spelling it wrong. It's A-X-L-E, not A-X-E-L."
Nido sat down completely dumbfounded at the fact that Axle could somehow tell how he was spelling his name, even though they were talking outloud.
"How do you feel about nicknames?"
Axle only shrugged in response.
"Okay… Axe… where 'ya from?"

Well the sun is wondering who it was picking the stuff up it doesn't look like Jeff. It's probably a regular Mac cuz they're sitting there threatening our son it's not going to go well for them and it's not really his house so they get that and there's another thing wrong with it we can hear them and they're in trouble. I'm going to go after the ones doing it just want to hear that stupid s*** anymore. And pretty soon they're going to figure out they shouldn't but it's too late by then. Now we're on to a lot of stuff you people sitting there frying yourself up to try and force you to do things kind of takes the own thought of it and our son is sitting there trying to survive while you're running around getting rid of yourselves and there's a shitload of you dying right now in Florida cuz you're opposed to the cleanup and they're going out there and protesting and they're sending huge trucks out because your protesting it's quite a sight okay you protest in 10 minutes later the truck's right there. It's a huge huge number of people wondering what's going on for real they're coming by and surveying see what else has to be removed and they're looking at the junk in the scene of some left and wondering why and it's a few things that people always miss is it looks like it's someone's stuff but he couldn't really tell I guess so on the radio telling him to come back and clean the place up and do a sucky job that's what they're doing and he didn't listen to the lady it's kind of a tough area to do it here and he is getting that. It's a warlock trying to say it's his portion and dumb s*** like that while they're hovering over all the major cities on Earth and they're going to get their asses handed to them I mean they're going to be dead very dead these little s**** are need to die they're so stupid and mean and crass I've never heard language coming out of anyone that sounds like them. And they get the living s*** kicked out of them they get up and they start doing it again. About 15 minutes Tom Cruise will start having his experience and everyone will see what it's like to be our son cuz he's Max are going to flip out on your retards especially Jason's group they're already going to town on them and you recharge out of these fangs people can tell who you are right away, that's a dumb lady who tried to run into him in front of all the cops. These people are very very dumb and they're very mean when they start issuing APB on people that they shouldn't and they're going to get nailed and Dan is thumping the Bible and not even correctly and we're saying this we are going to get you for it and you will feel bad and people are in route to meet you and luckily you put it on the TV so we know where you are and boy you people are getting really stupid thankfully
I was hoping that it would happen a little faster but it's taking a while for them to start reading probably 20 minutes no his moved in and they're going in after the stuff and they are going after the ships right now and they're taking a bunch it's a huge huge force of his I can see it's them top side. Is a massive number of them tons of them are getting shot but they're armed and yeah they k47s it's quite a trip seeing his little guys come up with it they don't hold it like the Asians do they shoot it and it sprays all over the place. The Asians hold it the hip it's a heavy gun and it can't take it you know something fired easily okay you guys are being a lot of trouble if you decide to get rid of you by hand few minutes she'd be gone but you just sit there saying you're invincible you don't see him kill you right now so we come by and we're much stronger and it's true it's been under the scrutiny for a long time and you're ridiculous but okay.
They're starting to look around and everybody is staring at stuff like up in the sky they can see the engine it's so close I can see the air churning and the lightning for me around it it's just one of the engines but he's got turned up he was heat because it's cold can hear them on the radio you're exactly how you idiot he says there's too many of them down there and it says they look like civilians and they're sending it up they look like civilians so they're arguing so it's in the movie they look like civilians so he assumes in and says oh and it slows it down turns it down and they're starting to hit and they're going to take a bunch of ships and it is going to be an event and there are several things happening in the neighborhood repetitively it seems that an old renter is going by every day slowly at first no it's Mercedes trying to figure out where to go it's going to be a hell of a day. And in moment so ship's going to break out moments for real I'm sitting by live. You see the Earth cracking in several places all over New Jersey the whole entire Island and Delaware and up north in Jersey in the swamp there's a giant number of cracks and sinking Earth the place is going to be a mess it's a huge storm you know so what happens hurricane heist same people we think. Tons of people looked at sugar tested it and it went all over the world kind of shows have been being stupid. And there is action all over the world now no but there are several hot spots we talked about there's a couple more besides Brazil and it's where the game is being held is Qatar there's a giant battle there and they moved one of the games believe it or not because Jason's refueling there with his oil and he's giving it up because you're trying to use uranium which will ruin the ships the huge number of people yelling at them stop bothering people in space. So horrible show those guys put on that's going on now and there's a lot of stuff happening here no they just barely cleaning the place up and getting back to work and it should sit in the fan it's going to be tough so he's going to take a restroom break

I Didn’t Mean It - Bakugou Katsuki
Bakugou x f!reader
Warnings: ANGST, cursing, death
Summary: It was too early for this. All the yelling, the fighting, the screaming. You didn’t give in but for some reason Bakugou just couldn’t let it go. Words get said and hearts die.
BAKUGOU’S MASTERLIST
“YOU FUCKING ATTENTION WHORE!”
-
Your boyfriend, whom you’ve been dating since your second year in junior high, was currently screaming your head off.
Last night, the two of you and your friends all went out but the night ended early for you and Katsuki when some rando got a little too handsy with you. Even though you pushed the guy away, Katsuki couldn’t help but feed into his jealous nature. You both argued all night but you left the argument early and went to bed, too exhausted with everything that just went down. Unfortunately, Katsuki was stubborn and the second you woke up to get ready for patrol, he brought the argument back to life.
-
“A-Attention whore? Katsuki, I pushed him away!” You said with a cracked voice as you gathered your things. Bakugou was standing near the kitchen island as he slammed his fist on the counter and continued to yell.
“Why do you think he went to you in the first place, Y/N?! You walk around, dressed like a fucking slut, even though you have a boyfriend!” He screamed.
His words were hitting hard and you teared up the slightest bit as he continued yelling. “Katsuki! I didn’t do anything wrong!”
“Would you quit fucking crying! Just fucking admit you were going to be a fucking hoe and cheat on me! Then you can get the fuck out of here!” He screamed in your face. You squinted your eyes as the tears pricked at the end of them.
“…is that what you want? You want me to leave?” You asked with a broken heart. You could see the hesitation on Bakugou’s face. He was fighting himself, trying to force himself to bite his tongue and take back every harsh thing he said but his pride wouldn’t allow it. He didn’t mean any of it. His heart cried for one thing while his wild mouth said another.
“…..yes.” He muttered. He watched as your face grew in heartbreak and he could practically hear your pulse booming. You bit in your lip to hold back your sobs before you blinked away your tears and nodded.
“I’ll get my stuff out after my patrol.” With that, you walked off to the door and left to work but not before you heard Bakugou mutter a soft ‘I hate you,’ knowing full well that you heard. Bakugou stood in the now quiet house, immediately regretting everything he said.
He knew you weren’t a cheater. He knew you wouldn’t do that to him. He doesn’t know why he said what he did but all he knows is that he’s going to make it up to you once you come back home. He’ll do whatever it takes. He loves you after all.
After hollowing in sadness and regret, Bakugou got up and began his plan to make it up to you. He left the house and went out to buy groceries, a new Teddy Bear for you, a necklace, and a bouquet of your favorite flowers and another bouquet of roses.
With the new groceries, he made your favorite meal and baked your favorite dessert. He wrapped the gifts and placed them on the beautifully set table that was littered in flower petals and candles. Bakugou was sure this would help aid in his apology.
Throughout the day, Bakugou sent you multiple texts trying to explain and apologize. He sent multiple messages and was starting to grow a little hurt at the fact that you weren’t replying to any of them. He tried calling but when you didn’t pick up, it worried him. He sent voicemails to no avail and continued waiting. It was only a morning patrol so you should be back soon. Right?
Wrong. Bakugou sat in front of the t.v screen with an open jaw and wide eyes as tears fell from his face.
Pro-hero, H/N, fallen in tragic battle against villain.
Bakugou could feel the world stop. He felt his heart beat all throughout his body as he shook. He couldn’t move. It was like he was frozen in place as he stared at the screen showing an image of you being impaled. He snapped out of his trance when his phone rang. Stupidly having hope that it was you, he immediately answered.
“Y-Y/N?!” Bakugou screamed into the phone with a broken voice.
“I’m sorry Bakugou.” He recognized the voice as his best friend, Kirishima. “I don’t think she’s gonna make it.”
Bakugou began to huff as he looked around the house. This wasn’t supposed to happen. This wasn’t what he wanted! You were supposed to come home and make up! You were supposed to be here with him! You were supposed to be home!
“Where are you?! Where are you, where is she?!” He screamed into the phone. Kirishima gave him the information and Bakugou was out the door, blasting his way to your location.
He forced himself to go beyond his limits as he traveled the distance to where you were located. He arrived at the busy land where the battle took place. He ignored everything else and set his sights on where you could be, until he finally took notice of a crowd of people, surround your seemingly lifeless body.
“GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM HER!” The pro screamed at the crowd. Everybody took notice of the hero as he ran to your body with tears in his eyes. Tears he vowed to hide from the public. As Bakugou landed, Kirishima and a few other heroes at the scene pushed the crowd away and told them to leave the couple be. The paramedics tried to take your body from Bakugou in a foolish attempt, but Bakugou refused to let you go. The paramedics allowed him to hold you, for they knew it would be for the last time.
Bakugou knelt down at your side and pressed your body to his chest. He still held frantic eyes as he examined your condition and felt his heart sink when he came to the conclusion that you weren’t doing so good. “Hey..hey, hey, hey. Y/N? Y/N, please. Please baby, wake up!”
His heart and head were in battle as one knew you weren’t going to make it while the other held hope and prayed you would. Bakugou moved the stray pieces of hair that covered your beautiful face and caressed your cheek. “Y/N come on! You have to wake up! We have to go home now!”
As his tears finally fell and dropped onto your face, you began to move and awaken due to his sobs and pleas.
“……..Katsuki,” you ever so gently whispered out, barely audible. But Bakugou heard you. He heard you well.
“Y/N! Fuck- thank fucking god!” He exclaimed into your neck as he cried. He sobbed while you merely looked to the sky, waiting for the heavens to take you.
“…I’m gonna die.”
At your words, Bakugou picked his head up and looked at your dull and almost lifeless eyes. His heart began panicking again as he shook his head. “No…no, baby, don’t say that. You’re gonna make it. I swear!”
“……I didn’t get to move my stuff out. I- ngh- ….I’m sorry.” You said with a weak look as you stared at nothing. Bakugou felt his tears fall heavier as he was reminded of your fight. He told you to leave. He told you he hated you. And he hated himself for even doing it.
“Y/N, please don’t leave. Please. I don’t want you to go..I- I didn’t mean it! I want you to stay. Stay with me! Stay alive! Please don’t go.” He begged as he held on a little tighter. You felt yourself growing weaker by the second and your vision was beginning to dull and turn hazy.
“…it’s too late.”
“It’s not! Please, it can’t be! Y/N!” Bakugou looked around for help when he realized he was left alone with you. “Y/N, please! Just stay a little longer!”
“…I’m tired, Katsuki.”
“I-..I know baby. I know. But- you have to stay awake, okay!? Stay awake, stay alive!” Bakugou cried as he looked at your life force drain right in front of him. What was he going to do?
You began to curl in a little more as you felt your body relax in his hold. “Katsuki?”
“Yes baby?” He frantically asked.
“…. I love you..and I’m sorry.”
His body took a screenshot as he looked at you in shock. Sorry? For what? You did nothing wrong. Today was horrible and it was his fault and now..he was paying the ultimate price.
“Y/N, I love you too.” He cried. He didn’t know what to do. What to say, what to think. He didn’t know anything. All he knew was that he wanted you to live. As he cried with shut eyes, his world stopped spinning when he felt you become dead weight in his arms. He shot his eyes open as he looked at your now lifeless body. “Y/N?…..Y/N!”
You didn’t get to hear him say it back.
Bakugou shook you, but to no avail. You were gone. But he refused to believe it. “Y/N!….Y/N wake up! ….This isn’t fucking funny! Please!”
Bakugou continued to try and get you to open your eyes until paramedics came to take your body and heroes pulled him away from you. “No! NO! LET ME GO! LET ME HOLD HER! PLEASE!”
“Bakugou! Stop! She’s gone!” Kirishima screamed as he held Bakugou back. The blonde continued to fight and struggle against the heroes that held him as he continued to reach out for you.
“NO! SHE’S NOT GONE! SHE’S THERE! SHE’S RIGHT THERE! PLEASE! LET ME GO! GIVE HER BACK TO ME!” Bakugou watched as the paramedics laid you down on a stretcher and covered your body in a sheet. The sight made Bakugou nauseous as he felt his heart drop to his stomach.
“NO!” He cried as he used his explosions to push away the heroes and ran to your body. The sight of the angry and heartbroken hero scared the medics away as Bakugou ripped the sheet off and was finally able to have you in his arms again. Kirishima was the first and only one who tried to reach out to him.
“Bakugou-“
“STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM US!” He screamed as he held into your dead body.
“…Y/N..baby, please wake up. This wasn’t supposed to happen!” He cried as he pressed his forehead to your own and held onto the side of your face. “I’m so sorry we argued and had that fight…but- but I was going to make it up to you! I swear! You were supposed to come home..so I could give you flowers..and gifts..and- and I made your favorite meal! I set everything up back at home! You have to wake up so you can see! YOU HAVE TO WAKE UP SO YOU KNOW THAT I DIDN’T MEAN ANY OF THE SHIT I SAID!”
You remained silent and breathless, and yet Bakugou still tried, hoping you could hear him.
“Wake up…so we can go home. So I can show you all I did for you. So I can shower you in a thousand apologies, so we can cuddle on the couch…please.” He cried. “Y/N…..”
All of a sudden, Bakugou was pulled back by a hero’s quirk and held there. He fought against restraints and screamed against everything and everyone. “NO! NO! GET THE FUCK OFF OF ME!”
He continued to scream until he felt someone jab him with a sedative. He felt himself going weak and feeling drowsy. He was getting tired. His vision became fuzzy but he was still able to see them cover your body up once more as Kirishima tried to hide his view of you.
“No!” He screamed in a weaker, more tired tone. “No, please. Please..just-…just let me hold her. Please……Y/N….” And with that, he was knocked out.
When he came to, he awoke on his couch with Kirishima sitting at his feet with his elbows on his knees. When the red head noticed the blonde’s opening eyes, he was quick to grab him some water.
“Hey man, you’re finally-“
“WHERE IS SHE?!” Bakugou asked, slapping the glass of water out of his best friend’s hand. He grabbed onto the red’s shoulders and demanded answers. “WHERE’S Y/N!? TELL ME NOW!”
Kirishima looked at Bakugou with pitiful eyes. He slowly took hold of his friend’s hands and pulled them off of his shoulders. “Bakugou…I’m sorry.”
The blonde began to shake his head in denial as he began to cry again. “No..no! No, no, please! She can’t…”
“Bakugou…”
“She can’t be gone.”
The blonde began to sob uncontrollably as Kirishima consulted him the best he could. He was unfamiliar with the blonde’s despair, the hot head had never been this upset before. The two friends remained on the couch until Bakugou calmed down enough to a point where he could talk…barely.
“H-How long have I been out?” Bakugou asked.
“Just two days. Don’t worry..you didn’t miss her…” Kirishima looked at his friend’s broken face as Bakugou lifted his head to show his friend his depression. He knew what words were coming. He didn’t know if he wanted to hear them. “….you didn’t miss her funeral.”
Bakugou squeezed his eyes shut as he allowed his head to fall as tears poured out of them. He silently suffered before asking another question. “When is it?”
“…in a week. Y/N didn’t have any family left-“ Kirishima felt his friend tense at his words. “…She didn’t have any blood related family left to give her one, so our friends and the agency put together a small one. Just her closest friends, the agency, and the heroes who fought with her in battle.”
“……I’m not going.” Bakugou stated.
“What?” Kirishima asked. “Bakugou, Y/N was your girlfriend. You guys were together even before U.A. and even after that! You both built a home together. How could you not go to her funeral?”
“I can’t face her! Not yet. I don’t deserve to get a good look at her face after what I did.” The pro sobbed. Kirishima looked at him in confusion, urging the blonde to continue. “I-….I said so many horrible things to her. I called her a fucking whore! I- I completely disrespected her and accused her of cheating when I know she didn’t! I told her to leave and to get the fuck out of my life! I told her I hated her!”
“Bakugou…”
“KIRISHIMA I TOLD HER TO LEAVE BUT I DIDN’T MEAN IT!” He screamed. Bakugou began to cry again as he finished pouring everything on the table. “I didn’t mean it! I didn’t want this! And- and now, I’ll never be able to get her back!”
Kirishima processed his friend’s words and began to understand exactly why he was so upset. He placed a hand in his friend’s back before softly speaking. “…Go to her funeral. Going could give you some closure and relief. Don’t say you don’t deserve to see her because you do. Y/N would want you to be there for her. …Honor H/N’s name.”
Bakugou said nothing as he kept his head in his hands. He didn’t sob uncontrollably anymore but Kirishima could hear his sniffles. The friend pulled him in for a small one sided hug and spoke.
“You’re my brother, Katsuki…I hate seeing you this upset.” With that, Kirishima got up and walked to the exit. Before he left, he looked to his friend with a sad look. “I hope you show up..for Y/N.”
The day of the funeral came, and Bakugou didn’t show. He couldn’t. Despite everything Kirishima said, he just couldn’t bring himself to face you. To see you dead. Pale faced in the casket. The thought alone made him sick to his stomach.
Time passed and months went by before Bakugou could even leave his house to go to your grave. The first time he went, he brought your favorite flowers in a mix of roses. He found your name engraved on the stone slab before placing the bouquet down and sitting. It was a beautiful day..and all he could think about was how you weren’t here to enjoy it with him.
“Y/N…I’m so so sorry. The day you left..you didn’t even get to hear me tell you that I love you too. I love you so much and now you’ll probably never know just how much I do. You’ll never get to wear the ring I got for you..you’ll never get to walk down the aisle..I’ll never get to be the one to receive you at the end of that aisle. We’ll never have that family you wouldn’t stop talking about. We’ll never get to grow old together..and be together forever like we planned.” He said with a sorrowful expression.
“I told you I hated you, I told you to leave but I didn’t mean it! Please….. come back! I love you and I want you here with me! I didn’t want you to go, I didn’t mean it, please!…
…I didn’t mean it.”
As he cried at your grave, a gust of wind blew against his hair in a soft breeze. Too lost in his tears, he couldn’t make out that it was your spirit attempting to comfort him.
A ghost of you rested on your grave as you looked down at your ex-boyfriend crying more than he ever has before. You got down on your knees to sit infront of him as he cried with his head down as you placed an empty hand on the side of his face, knowing he couldn’t feel your touch.
“I know you didn’t mean it, Katsuki…I know.”

Fury’s Daughter
AN: Idk wth I just wrote... I just got this idea so yeah... Happy Reading!
.
You are the adoptive daughter of Nick Fury, when you were 5 he adopt you when your parents died on a plane crash that was cause by Hydra, your parents and Nick were good friends that’s why he took you in.
You were a smart kid, always analyzing things, Fury told everything to you and never lie. To protect your identity Nick made you a new one as you volunteer to be an agent of Hydra to gain information and was branded by the organization. You did dangerous mission and always getting out alive.
You were then sent back to and joined the Avengers initiative but the avengers were suspicious of you as you came out of nowhere, no files, no nothing but a name and Fury’s trust.
No one knew who you are to protect your identity in recon so the avengers treated you coldly but you didn’t care, you didn’t tell it to your father about the situation you are in because you were train to adapt and you did. You were kind to them and all as you and Natasha got closer… like really close. Out of all Natasha Romanoff is the one you have trusted the most.
.
.
You got out from the elevator after a short report you did to Nick about the information you got for the Winter Soldier when you heard the laughing of the team as they sat in the living room with pizza on the table as they talked and laugh at each other.
The laughter halted when they all noticed you and silence came… you knew you were never welcome her but your father trust them so you really had no choice but to put up with it, sensing their discomfort you just gave them a nod greeting them.
“Good evening Avengers” no one answered as you expected and left and went to your room, you heard a light foot steps following you and a hand holding your wrist and seeing a familiar red head you have fallen with for the past few weeks.
“Hey Y/N, I’m sorry about the boys you know how hard headed they are” she sincerely apologized to you as you gave her a soft smile
“it’s ok Natasha, I know they still don’t fully trust me and I understand why, so it’s cool” you replied to her as she looked at you suspiciously searching your face for any lies but you being good at hiding your emotion she immediately gave up when she didn’t find one.
“So… Movie night?” she asked cheekily at you as your brows furrows
“what about the others?” you asked her as she started pulling you towards her room as she shrugged
“they can take care of themselves, come on!”
.
.
One day when you were alone practicing in the gym at 6 am of the morning you accidentally took off your clothes leaving you in your sports bra forgetting that Steve Rogers is always awake at that time and saw your Hydra mark on your chest and thought of you as an enemy and told the team as they planned to eliminate you on the next mission.
To eliminate the Hydra scum.
.
.
“can I get a hand over here?” you heard Clint said in the coms as you took down the last guy from your floor inside a hydra base that you’ve been recon last week
“I’m coming on your way” you answered running to Clint’s direction knowing the base like the palm of your hands as you shot a Hydra soldier who was sneaking behind him
“Thanks” you nodded at him you continue your pursuit taking down agents as you skillfully glide yourself on the battle field.
The battle had stop when Clint finished the last guy as Steve and Natasha immerge from the control room with a case on hand.
They must have gotten the information
“Mission complete, how’s the perimeter Tony?” Captain said on the coms as you get close to Natasha scanning her for any injuries and sighted in relieve when you found none.
“Perimeter is clear as the sky Steve were ready to go home” you smiled at the thought of home… Fury promised you a dinner with Maria and Coulson when you get back since things have been busy these couple of week and you were really excited about it since it’s going to be your first dinner with them again since you got back from recon.
“time for phase 2 then, Romanoff” you frowned at Steve’s word
Phase 2? You never heard about it when at the briefing
You were still in confusion when Steve called Natasha and you felt a searing pain by your side
You wiped your head to your side seeing a knife… a knife you gifted to Natasha lunge by your side.
You looked at her eyes full of betrayal and so as Clint and Steve who was in there with you.
“Phase 2 complete, were leaving, now die you Hydra scum” Steve said voice full of spite hearing a ‘good job’ from Tony and a ‘let’s go’ from Clint as you fall down on your knees looking at their retreating figure leaving you.
The last one you saw was the red headed assassin taking one last look at you as they close the door as your whole body fall down on the cold ground.
You shakily grabbed your phone dialing your father’s number as he answered rather cheerful
“Y/N why are you calling me? Is your mission done?” you heard your dad’s voice making you tear up a bit
“D-dad…”
“get your ass here kid Maria and Coulson just arrived here and im about to finish cooking these turkey”
“c-can I have a rain check on the dinner dad… I kinda messed up…” your voice was now shaking and you are feeling colder than usual the blade may have a poison as you felt a burn and getting light headed faster than normal.
Fury must have sense that there is something wrong by the way your voice sounded
“Y/N what happened? Are you ok?” you can hear his voice full of worry as you heard Maria and Coulson from the background asking what’s wrong.
“I-I think I was the p-phase 2 of S-Steve’s plan dad… it’s really g-getting cold here ya know” blood tricked on the ground from your wound
Your vision darken as flashes of memories filled your eyes.
You can hear the shuffles from the other line saying they are tracking my call and will be sending medical help
“I’m s-scared d-dad… I still d-don’t wanna go” you cried,
“Help is on the way Y/N keep holding on I’m here for you kid” you can hear the shakiness of your father’s voice, you kept trying to keep your eyes open and now seeing dark spots forming.
“T-thanks for everything dad… tell Maria and Coulson I love them…” your voice was barely audible hearing their cried for you to wake up.
“Keep your eyes open for me kid… please”
“I-I think a need a nap… l-love you dad” and you were gone.
They kept calling for you but you never answered back.
.
.
Fury along with Maria and Coulson with a medical team arrived at the base eyes redden because of crying as they found you on the cold ground with your phone by your side and a stab.
Fury cradle you like a baby as the medic announced your death with Maria and Coulson crying by the side.
.
.
“Did you check the monitors?” Fury’s cold voice echoed in a quinjet as your cold body layed beside him with your head on his lap stroking the hair that is covering your face.
“you’re not gonna like it boss…” Maria said with blood shot eyes as she played the video of Steve ordering the Phase 2 and Natasha Romanoff stabbing you as they left you.
“call them up at SHIELD… they would pay for what they did to her” Nick ordered as Coulson took his phone out to call them.
Nick glanced at you as he swiped some blood by your mouth hugging your corpse closer to him.
.
.
.
They avenger’s arrived at SHIELD seeing Fury holding Y/N’s hand as she lay dead on the table with Maria and Coulson by the back holding back their anger.
“what is this Fury?” Steve stepped out in confusion to why they got the body of Y/N
“What is the phase 2 Captain” Nick’s voice was colder than usual
“… to eliminate the Hydra-“ Steve answered as the other’s stayed silent
“and who is the Hydra?”
 “Y/n…”
Then there’s silence, the team were uncomfortable with the silence but Steve was getting impatient with all of it.
“Look I don’t know what is your point here but you should thank us for killing the mole here Fury”
Fury looked at them as Coulson held Maria who was about to attack Steve as Fury spoke…
“I see no dead mole here Rogers… all I see is my dead daughter”
The team’s eyes widen as they froze from there spot
“W-what?” Bruce asked
“Y/N Fury... is my daughter who you called a Hydra scum”
“B-but she had the brand-“
“She had the brand because she was undercover inside Hydra that gave her the mark to extract information for your missions that is saving billions!” Fury angrily shouted making them all flinch.
All of it dawned to them as Natasha fall into her knees realizing she killed a hero… she killed her friend who trusted her… she killed the person who loved her…
“I pulled her out of the recon to keep her safe knowing her all her covers were blown, I put her into your team so she can be protected thinking after all those years of being away we can have a normal dinner like she wanted for years, I trusted my daughter in your hand yet you are the one who killed her…”
Fury stood up tears streaming down on his face
“Avenger Initiative’s termination is effective immediately, all of you would be put in maximum security prison for killing Y/N Fury” Agents entered taking their weapons and cuffing them
“Nick… I’m sorry” Steve’s voice filled with regret rang out as Fury looked at him coldly throwing a file on the ground in front of him as the content spilled revealing pictures of the Winter Soldier.
“Y/N wanted to give you this information from the last recon she was put in to, James “Bucky” Barnes is alive and now known as the Winter Soldier who is working for Hydra and has killed thousands”
Steve’s face was full of shock knowing his best friend Bucky is alive…
“Nick-“
“I’m sorry to cap…” Fury cut him off and coldly apologies to Steve who is now confuse to why as everyone in the room looked at them in silence.
“you took someone dear away from me… and now I’m taking yours, Good Bye Avengers and thank you for your service” before Steve and others could react they were all tranquilized knocking them out cold and only waking up in a glass cell with Ross smirking at them as they sat there in silence thinking the things that they have done for you.
“welcome to your new life Avengers…in prison!” and a loud laugh erupted from Ross as he walked out as ex-heroes gazes followed his exit.

Pairing: Sukuna x GN! Reader (The reader is AFAB)
Warnings: Dubious Consent, Oral (Reader! Receiving), Mind break, edging, denied orgasm, monsterfucking, corruption kink, dirty talk, mean dom to soft dom Sukuna, use of little one and little sorcerer as well as pet (only twice though), forced submission just to be safe
A/N: I had so much fun writing this and this is for @seita “Corrupt a Virgin Collab!” Thank you so much for letting me participate! All characters are 18+  and as always Minors DNI and if you do or if you’re a nameless blog I will block you instantly.
Word Count: 2.6K
Summary: Megumi, Itadori, Nobara, Gojo, Nanami...I’m sorry. I wasn’t able to keep my promise and protect all of you.
Debris settled over the city. You coughed, cringing at the blood that spilled from your lips at the hit you had taken. You looked around you, watching as more buildings collapsed, people screamed causing it to echo. You couldn’t find anybody no matter where you looked. Your heart raced inside your chest.
How much longer would you be able to pull this off? Ever since Sukuna and Itadori had been separated he caused nothing but destruction.
You watched the curse you were currently fighting rush towards you. It’s green spindles shot out only for you to dodge it in the nick of time. The wall where you had been standing in front of was nothing but a hole. You cringed. That could’ve been you.
Before you had time to recover it focused it’s sights on you again, the eight purple eyes stared directly into yours. You tried to get up again only to be met by an explosion of pain. You glanced down at your hand nursing the wound on your stomach only to see crimson seep through your fingers. Shit.
It let out a wicked shriek, leaving your ears ringing. It charged at you again. You closed your eyes.
Megumi, Itadori, Nobara, Gojo, Nanami...I’m sorry. I wasn’t able to keep my promise and protect all of you.
“Protect me?” Gojo’s voice was incredulous as he tossed his head back and laughed. It had been a busy day filled with killing curses and saving people, but at the end of it all of you were able to spend time together and watch the fireworks. “I’m the strongest there is, if anything it would be me protecting you.”
Nanami huffed at his response, proceeding to whack him upside the head. He whined, turning to Nanami no doubt to start playfully fighting him which would end in Nanami sighing in disappointment.
You could only shake your head at the two of them while Nobara scoffed, nudging your arm with a grin. “Yeah, and besides we’re all going to get stronger so we don’t need to be protected.”
Megumi nodded with a small smile which caused you to huff.
“It’s not like that!” You clenched your fists beside you, before lowering your voice. “It’s just that all of you are precious to me and I’ll do whatever it takes to not see you hurt.”
They were all speechless at your response until Itadori’s face lit up into a bright smile. “Let's do it!” He cheered, jumping into the air. “We’ll be the best group of sorcerers out there you’ll see! Let’s all protect each other.”
The six of you looked at each other with matching soft expressions, a silent agreement that you’d all make it to the very end when the first explosion fired off. Itadori shrieked at the unexpected boom that echoed in the sky causing your laughter to break the silence between each firework.
You smiled looking back on the memory. It was fun. The people you met, the friends you gained, you wouldn’t have traded it for the world. As you anticipated the final blow one last thought flashed through your mind. You had no regrets.
An explosion of light flooded from behind your eyelids, you braced for impact but none came. Slowly, you cracked an eye open only to have your breathing hitch. Standing where the cursed spirit used to be was-
“Sukuna,” your own voice surprised you. The demon turned to you with an unamused expression.
“Think you can just die like that?” He sneered approaching you. “You fool.”
You tried to get up, all your senses screaming to fight but you only managed to straighten your posture before wincing in pain. Broken ribs, you assumed, if not worse. “What do you want?” You managed to croak out.
Standing above you, his eyes were filled with venom. You swallowed silently wishing the destroyed cursed spirit had taken you out. You refused to break away from his gaze while his hand moved to cup your cheek. You flinched from his touch expecting him to rip your skin away with the swipe of his talons, but instead he clicked his tongue at the action.
“Make no mistake little one, If I wanted you dead, you’d be dead.” His voice sent shivers down your spine, but your body relaxed at the words. You wanted to shake your head. How could that even be remotely comforting?
You couldn’t dwell on it for long because the next thing you knew you could breathe properly again. You took a deep breath in, almost choking on it. You removed your hand from your stomach only to gape in shock.
“You,” you looked up at the demon with wide eyes. “You healed me?”
He rolled his eyes. He couldn’t stand the way humans interacted nor did he want to. He craved the chaos he created and only wanted to see more of it, but one sorcerer managed to get under his skin, you.
You were an enigma, your cursed energy was strong, that was for certain and as obsessed as he was with Megumi there was something about you that drew him to you. Maybe it was the way he could tell you were a virgin. You had so much experience but none with another person’s touch. He thought many times about you being tied up and at his mercy while he edged you for hours causing you to cry out pleas along with his name.
Unfortunately there was no time to act on what he wanted with him still being inside the brat, but now, now was the perfect time.
“Why?” The question left your mouth before you could stop it. He wanted to laugh at your perplexed expression paying close attention to your lips. You didn’t realize it, but you backed yourself into a corner.
“Oh Little Sorcerer,” he crooned mockingly. A sinister smile stretched across his face reminding you just who you were dealing with.
Squatting down to your level, he let his eyes rove over your body, paying close attention to where your uniform was torn and wrinkled. Instinctively, you covered yourself to the best of your ability which only made him lick his lips.
“You didn’t think I did that without a price,” his voice dropped an octave, “did you?”
Your heart stuttered in your chest while you gasped. There was no way, but noticing the hunger in those eyes that held a predatory gleam you understood what he meant. You couldn’t-
“Get away from them!” Megumi shouted. His footsteps raced towards where you were. Itadori and Nobara were fast at his heels shouting for you. A ghost of a smile fell onto your face. They were okay. From what you saw the only wounds were some scratches and bruises. They would be okay. The relief quickly faded when a talon turned your chin to make you look at him once more.
His teeth were on full display. “Let’s make a contract, shall we? I won’t hurt your friends as long as you do what I want in my domain.”
You raised an eyebrow skeptically. “And what would that be?”
“I get to ruin you.”
You knew you could stall, could buy time until they could help you, but the more you waited the more people screamed.
“So little one, what will it be?” Sukuna’s voice rang heavy in your ears. You could either go with him or more people would be hurt. You purse your lips, you had two choices: either allow Sukuna to take you and buy your friends some time or wait for them and risk more people dying.
With a deep breath you faced the demon. “If I go with you, you promise that no person, that includes jujutsu sorcerers and civilians will be harmed?”
“Of course.”
Part of you didn’t trust him, but you mulled over the deal, searching for any loopholes. Megumi, Itadori and Nobara were getting closer.
“Time’s running out, have you made a decision?”
You looked at your friends one last time as they screamed in horror running faster. With a final breath you focused back on the king of curses.
“I accept.”
                                   ------------------------------------------------------------
“Such a pretty little thing aren’t you?”
Obscene sounds echoed throughout the domain as you grinded against Sukuna’s tongue that resided on his abdomen. Small whimpers and broken moans spilled from your lips. Tears slid down your face while the appendage was lapping at your folds, flicking at your clit every now and again. Each grind down had your toes curling. You tossed your head back.
“Shut, ah, shut up!” You tried to shout, but it held no mirth to it.
Sukuna smirked at your reaction. Still so fiery even after he edged you, you were a fun one that was for certain.
He’d envisioned this moment many times before, but nothing beat the real thing. He kept your arms stretched above you with one of his hands while the other he used to cup your cheek. He lived for your expression, the way your eyelashes were grouped together with tears as you were forced to keep taking what he was giving you, completely at his mercy.
“What’s wrong little sorcerer,” he snarled. “Can’t take my tongue?” He couldn’t help but grow addicted to the breathy pants you let out as you clamped down at his words. His eyes widened, peering at you with an expression that almost looked impressed.
“Who knew you could be such a slutty pet. Nobody’s ever touched you like this before and you’re already so fucked out, I wonder what will happen when you cum, hm?”
“Fu-fuck you,” you managed to get out between moans. You refused to give into him, wishing you had more strength in you to glare. You needed to put up a fight.
He raised an eyebrow with a laugh. “Brat,” he dug his nails into your hips, there would be indents there for days, but he didn’t care. “You try to put up such a front, wouldn’t it feel better to give in rather than fight me? You’re so wet and you’ve been so good, so pliant for me are you sure you don’t want a reward?
The familiar coil in your stomach was about to break causing you to thrash your head back and forth. The burn was becoming painful, you didn’t know how much longer you’d last if he kept denying you. Sukuna noticed, forcing your hips to grind faster.
“Oh? Is the little sorcerer close? Tell me, do you want to know what it’s like to cum from somebody other than you, hm?” He hummed keeping the brutal pace, watching as you heaved for breath, your eyes glossy and almost rolling back. A twisted grin morphed onto his face at the sight.
“Don’t tell me I’ve fucked you dumb already,” he bit his lip to keep from groaning out into the domain. The reflection of the water only made you look more wrecked. “Tell me, is this what you’re going to look like when you're stretched out on my cock?”
The image alone had your toes curling. You couldn’t fight it anymore. You needed release. “M’close. M’so close. M’gonna cum. Gonna ngh gonna cum Sukuna. Sukuna,” you babbled, slurring your words.
You were almost there all you needed was one more extra push.
Before you had time to process what was happening your hips stilled. A loud sob ripped it’s way from your throat. You couldn’t handle being denied anymore. All you could do was struggle in his hold and curse the king in front of you for torturing you like this. That’s when it registered, he was going to kill you like this. That must’ve been his plan all along.
You were about to speak, to tell him to just kill you already when he leaned closer towards you. His lips ghosted against yours. Without thinking you leaned in, desperate to feel his lips against yours, but before you could he pulled away and gazed at you.
You could see your reflection in his eyes, the way you were drooling for him, you were a mess, your eyes glossy from crying, you didn’t recognize the person staring back at you. You couldn’t remember how many times he edged you, but it was unbearable.
“Beg me.”
Your breath caught in your throat even though you’d been expecting that. Part of you, the desperate want that curled itself into your skin and set your heart aflame wanted to cave in. Wanted so badly to finally get the release you’ve been craving all this time, but rationally you looked at the demon and whispered, “I, I can’t.”
As soon as the words were out you wanted to take them back, disappointment swam within you. You wanted to know what it was like, but the sorcerer in you couldn’t yield. You reminded yourself that you were doing this for them, but that would’ve been a lie.
You expected Sukuna to tear you to shreds or leave you like this but instead he shushed you.
Your eyes snapped open, not even remembering when you closed them. He only rubbed your back with one of the hands that was on your hip while the other hand holding your arms set them down.
“Such a brave sorcerer, aren’t you? Even when you’re so desperate you still hold so much strength, but don’t you want to be ruined? Don’t you wish you would just be able to let go and have somebody else take the reins?” His voice was uncharacteristically soft like he was talking to something fragile, something that could break.
“I-”
You couldn’t deny that it sounded nice, to be out of control for once, to just let yourself be ruined by Sukuna. You craved release so bad it hurt. You shuddered against him at the thought of finally being able to lose yourself in pleasure while the cool air of the domain caught up to you.
Without hesitation, Sukuna embraced you in his arms, bringing you close to his chest. You imagined that if he was human, you’d be able to hear his heart beat pressed against him like this. He caressed any inch of your body his hands could reach as he placed a chaste kiss to your temple. You settled in the warmth.
“Shh, just let me take care of you little one,” he squeezed you close before placing two set of his hands on your shoulders to pull you back. It took everything in him not to smile. He had you, he knew he had you judging by the way your face was going from conflicted to completely lax.
“I’ll ruin you for anybody else,” the hands on your shoulders dropped down to barely touch your waist, tickling you. He began to kiss down your jaw, moving to your neck. “You could rule by my side and stay with me in this space forever, you wouldn’t have to worry about curses,” he sucked a mark causing you to whimper. “Or saving people,” his other hands moved to play with your nipples. “Or those pesky sorcerers.”
Your mind was reeling, unable to concentrate on any coherent thought. The difference from being so rough to being soft was messing with your head. You were losing yourself, but still tried so desperately to hang on, to not give in. You had friends you needed to protect, but all of that was fading away.
Sukuna noticed and as he sucked on your earlobe, he used the hands tickling you to meet your hips, positioning you over his cock. “All you have to say is-”
“Please.”

Power Couple
Corpse Husband x Reader (Female)
Warnings: Swearing
Genre: Fluff, Humor
Summary: Sean, Felix, Dave, and Joel welcome Corpse’s girlfriend to a game of Party Animals. It’s her first time playing and she has to deal with a lot more than just the controls and objectives - her boyfriend being a cute, cuddly sweetheart with ulterior motives to his clinginess.
Requested by @susceptible-but-siriusexual. Thank you so much for your request! Hope I captured what you wanted and how you wanted. Feel free to send any other requests you may have XOXO
It’s been one hell of a day. Had to correct twice as many documents as I was originally supposed to at work; found my car with a flat tire in the parking lot as I was about to go home; argued with my boss over the phone while stuck in a traffic jam. It’s been a rough twelve hours, but it has led me here and that’s what I’d rather think about.
By ‘here’ I mean I’m sitting on the couch in Corpse’s recording room, my computer in my lap, my screen displaying the screen to the game Party Animals. The suggestion was Corpse’s. He immediately picked up on my below par mood and wasted no time finding a solution to bright up the remainder of the day, shadowing the shitty portion of it. I am not what you would call a gamer. Sure I’ve played Among Us with Corpse and his friends a few times. Even that I struggle to do because I’m internally fangirling over all the people in the lobby. Yeah, dating a youtuber doesn’t mean you automatically stop gushing over the many content creators on the platform you’ve been watching for quite some time now. Corpse knows how nervous I get so he’s always near me when we play with Sean, Felix and the other. All he has to do is give me that encouraging smile and wink of his and I’m good to go. Side note: massive props to him for going easy on me in Among Us, getting teasingly called ‘simp’ by his friends in the process.
“You’ll love it.“ He promised me over and over again as the game was downloading on my computer.
“I don’t doubt that, Corpse. But I am going in completely blind and I seriously don’t wanna embarrass myself.“ I mumble a quick ‘nor you‘ under my breath, hoping he doesn’t catch it because I’m in for a pep talk if he does.
To my dismay, he does, “Listen here, you couldn’t embarrass me even if you actively tried to do something outrageous. Most likely scenario, I’d join you in the act.” He ducks in front of the couch so we’re at eye level, his hand coming up to cup my cheek in the sweetest, most comforting gesture ever. “We’ll show em who’s the boss at stealing candy.”
I can’t help but laugh, feeling unable to express just how much this man means to me. Words can’t do the feeling justice.
“Y/N!“
“Y/N!!“
“Corpse Wife has arrived!“
Hearing all the greetings lights a flame in my chest, the warmth spreading all the way to my neck and cheeks. “Hi guys! Missed playing with you!”
“We missed you too!“ Dave, the only one of the gaming gang I’ve actually met in person, replies to me, his words along with all the others’ wrapping around me like a comfort blanket. Despite them knowing I’m a fan of theirs, they’ve always made me feel welcomed, comfortable, nothing less than them.
“You know anything about this game?“ Felix asks me.
I shake my head, almost forgetting he can’t see me, “Corpse told me it’s funny and cute. It sounds like the perfect game for me.”
“Oh no, this is a game of survival. Survival of the fittest!“ Sean shouts excitedly, a bang following his shout I can only assume was him hitting his desk.
“I’d like to think I’m pretty fit.“ I shrug my shoulders, laughing along with the guys.
“This is the only way to find out if you actually are.“ Joel’s voice comes through my headphones in the form of a tease.
Sean mumbles quietly to himself as he’s deciding how to separate us in two teams. “Guys, a little help here. We all suck at this game, it doesn’t really matter who’s in which team.”
“Actually...“ Felix trails off, “Corpse and Y/N are the ultimate power couple in Among Us. Chances are they will be in this as well. So, the only logical move would be to...“
“I’m taking Y/N, you take Corpse.“ Sean declares. “Joel, Dave, who do you guys wanna be with?“
And the game starts. Sean, Joel and I are the Meowfia while Corpse, Felix and Dave are yet to choose a team name. We throw around snarky, cocky comments at each other, taunting the opposite team as we struggle to take the candy to our respective sides of the map.
“Don’t you dare pull that lever, Dave!“ I launch at Dave, knocking his cute avatar away from the lever, buying Joel and Sean some time to steal back the gummy bear Corpse and Felix took from us.
“Y/N! Joel is out! Help me!“ Sean is freaking out now. I ditch Dave’s unconscious body and run to Sean’s aid.
As I’m helping him push it towards out area a member from the opposite team latches onto my avatar, weighing me down and hindering me from doing anything.
“Hug!“ Corpse laughs as he has literally turned into a koala, holding onto my avatar.
“Corpse, you know you are actually supposed to hinder Y/N, not hug her. It’s cute though, don’t get me wrong.“ Felix laughs as him and Sean continue to struggle over the gummy bear.
“Nah, his tactic’s great. I can’t do shit.“ I desperately try and shake him off, “Babe, this is unfair. I can’t even be mad at you!“ I whine, staring to panic now that Dave is back to life and Joel is nowhere to be seen.
The round is won by Felix, Dave and Corpse who, if I might add, didn’t let go of me for the rest of the game.
We switch maps, now every man for himself. We’re on the submarine, recreating the Hunger Games with cute fuzzy animals. The thought passes through my mind, causing me to giggle.
“Y/N, you sound exactly like I’d imagine your avatar to sound. You’re so cute.“ Sean’s avatar circles mine a few times as he laughs.
He’s not wrong, my pale blue puppy is indeed cute. Apparently immortal as well.
“How is Y/N still alive?! Holy shit, her and Corpse really are a power couple.“ Dave shrieks when he sees me pick up the freeze gun. “NOOO!“ He shouts, devastated by the fact I shot him, sending him straight to his death.
“Chill, Dave. It’s all cool. Nothing personal.“ I struggle to hide my laughter, “No hard feelings, right?“
“Of course not, love.“ I can tell he grits the sentence through clenched teeth.
“Aw Dave, you are such an ice guy.“ I giggle, now shooting Joel with the gun.
“Someone take that gun from her!“ Sean cries as him and Felix race up the submarine.
Suddenly, the avatar of my boyfriend again wraps itself around mine. I hadn’t seen him in a while, considering Sean knocked him into the ocean earlier in the round.
“How are you still alive?!“ I try to spin my puppy to get him to let go but he holds on tightly. “Babe, I swear, you are cute and I love you, but this is ridiculous. How and why are you alive?”
“That’s his superpower! He never fucking dies.“ Felix laughs, letting out a yelp when he briefly slips while climbing.
“Immortals!!! Immortals!!!“ Sean breaks out into a song, a song I really like, breaking the restraints I had on my laughter.
“Drop the gun or we’re dying together.“ He says almost seriously. Even though I can only see the back of his head I know he’s grinning.
“A Titanic/Romeo and Juliet mashup? Why not? I can live with dying a double historical death.“ Even though I appear accepting of his offer, I’m still trying to set myself free.
In the end, Sean claims his first win of the game and the rest of us are dead at the bottom of the ocean. Corpse and I did indeed die a Romeo and Juliet/Titanic death, getting everyone in their feels. We make a deal to get together and play again as soon as possible and we all go our separate ways, exiting the Discord call.
*Later that night*
After a dinner consisting of takeout and two thirds of a shitty romantic comedies, Corpse shifts from next to me, starting to get up from the couch. I am surprised to feel jolted out of a half sleep as the room is now completely silent, the TV being turned off.
“Hey where’re you going?“ I ask groggily, rubbing my sleepy eyes.
“I have some editing to do. Don’t worry, I won’t stay up too late.“ He kisses my forehead before grabbing his phone from the coffee table.
Just as he’s about to walk away, I wrap my arms around his legs. He laughs, catching onto what I’m insinuating. His chuckle brings a smile to my face and butterflies in my belly. No matter how long we date for or how much time we spend together, some things never change.
“Payback, huh?“ He asks, the smile audible in the question. I keep my eyes shut but nod, my arms still around his legs. “Alright, you koala. You’re coming with me.”
In his recording room, he settles in his chair placing me in his lap in a way that my legs dangling off to the side, my side leaning against his chest, my face hidden in the crook of his neck. We’re both comfortable, content and relaxed.
I don’t know when exactly it happens, but all my mind has registered is a quiet ‘I love you’ and the soft touch of Corpse’s lips on my temple. I manage to reply with an ‘I love you too’ before my sleepiness consumes me, my body completely relaxing against his, the warmth of his body, his scent, the sound of his breathing making me feel safe and loved: the two feelings I want him to feel with the same intensity when I’m in his arms.
Something tells me he does.
