Idk what this is but the thought of you being scared of Bakugos quirk is so hot to me
Tw:noncon, predatory behavior
“I swear he’s getting to be more and more like a villain every time I see him,” you giggle with Mina as you two walk out of the class. Bakugo had yet again exploded at one of your shared teachers for correcting him in his pronunciation of a word, and as usual it was quite a scene to behold. Chairs were almost thrown, his friends had to hold him back from leaping up while others egged him on, itching for amusement in their mind-numbingly dull class.
“Maybe Shigaraki was right,” your pink-haired friend snorts and you both collapse in wheezes, clawing and slapping at each other’s shoulders as the ludicrous image of Shigaraki being unable to reign in Bakugo comes to mind.
“Hey ladies, what’re you two laughing about?” A lilting and charming voice comes right at your ear, and you turn to see Denki, Kirishima and…Bakugo walking next to you.
Just because of his proximity and how you were literally just talking about him two seconds ago, you jump away from Bakugo’s glowering face and not so subtly hide behind Mina in a half playful jest.
“Huh? Whatcha ya jumpin’ around for?” Kirishima laughs and you exchange an embarrassed look with Mina.
“Oh nothing, we were just talking about how Bakugo’s quirk is totally villainous. We’re lucky he’s on our side,” Mina singsongs, but you slap her arm in alarm.
And well placed alarm at that, because Bakugo’s scowl deepens as he turns his head to you in a death-glare. You swallow hard seeing his expression and try to nervously laugh.
“But, uh, we were just joking. Right Mina?” You give her a pointed look and she deflects it happily.
“Nope! At least you weren’t, you’re half scared to death of him, isn’t that right Y/N?”
Denki interrupts before you can sputter in horror.
“Honestly, who isn’t scared of this dude?” He claps the other blond on his back and yelps when Bakugo’s hands start curling with smoke.
“Watch it dumbass.” He cranes his head to meet your eyes, but when he finds that you’re still avoiding eye contact with him he starts moving around his friends to better talk to you.
“My quirk isn’t that scary you idiot. It’s not like I care enough about any of you to blow you up-“
But with the smoke still curling form his hands and with the permanently intimidating scowl on his face reading closer and close to your, you can’t help but squeal and scrabble around him to sink your nails into Kirishima’s shoulders for protection.
“Okay, I get it! You don’t have to come any closer, I can see fine from here.” Your voice comes out too high and strained to be deemed as joking, but nonetheless everyone laughs at your dramatic show.
Everyone but Katsuki. Because he can see you’re actually scared, he’s seen it a hundred times on civilians who try to pretend they’re fine but still have that panicked glint in their eye.
“Jesus Y/N, with a reaction like that maybe he really is a villain. Bakubro, want us to send you back to Shigaraki’s place? Maybe you should reconsider his offer.”
And finally at Denki’s quip everyone including you this time laughs again in playful agreement, but yet again Bakugo’s blood starts simmering further.
Why the fuck were you being so obnoxious? He didn’t do anything to you before, right? So why the hell were you embarrassing him in front of all his friends and making him out to be this bloodthirsty monster?
Well, whatever. If a monster is what you want, then a monster is what you’ll get.
And so he waits for you after school, trailing behind you a couple hundred feet yet still keeping you in sight. He curses when you giggle with your friends, no doubt in his mind that you’re still throwing dirt on his name and he swears under his breath when you talk to Deku and his dweeb friends.
Of course when you hang around ditzy dorks like Deku he’s gonna look like a psycho in comparison.
But at one point you’re by the vending machine alone in a deserted hallway, fumbling with your coins and trying to quickly get a soda before your friends up ahead leave.
Too bad for you, because when he’s done with you they’ll never want to be seen with you again for their own safety.
You’re shoving money in the slot when he silently walks up a couple feet behind you.
“No friends around to gossip about me?”
You shriek and jump a good foot in the air at the sudden voice behind you. Clutching your heaving chest, you whirl around to see who it is.
Your blood runs cold. It’s Katsuki Bakugo, the absolute last person you want to be alone with in a deserted hallway.
Your feet move a step back.
Wrong move.
His nostrils flare and his eyes widen at your insulting retreat. You know he doesn’t take kindly to it, but with an expression like that how could you not?
“Uh, w-what do you mean?” You chuckle nervously.
He doesn’t laugh. In fact, he does something worse.
He matches your steps and moves forward a little bit.
At this you fully take a stride backwards and clash with the vending machine behind you.
He keeps advancing, slowly getting closer and checking you out, his head tilted as his eyes roam up and down your vulnerable body.
“Don’t move back. Why the fuck did you move away from me? That’s rude, we were just having a normal conversation.”
You surprise yourself by sounding level-headed in retaliation. “‘Kinda hard not to be a little uncomfortable when your conversation sounds so accusing.”
He lunges forward and you actually scream this time, throwing your hands up above your head in instinct to protect yourself from his proximity.
Bakugo doesn’t touch you but you can still feel his breath puffing on your head, can still feel the heat from his hands on either side of your body.
“You got a smart mouth don’t you? Is that why you embarrassed me earlier in front of everyone?”
“Embarrassed you-?” You squeak but immediately cut off when he thrusts his face right in front of yours, a manic look on his face as all his facial features stretch into a irate leer.
“I guess we’ll have to fix that tongue of yours. Put it to better use than to talk shit about me, right?”
Vermilion irises move from your face down your body, lingering on your chest and at the apex in between your legs.
Bile rises to your throat as he licks his lips and lets his lips ghost over yours, oh so close yet not touching.
And in the second before he descends, you shove him off with nothing but pure adrenaline feeling your fear and race past him, blindly running down the halls as fast as you can.
Surprisingly, you don’t hear anyone behind you. That doesn’t mean you don’t stop running though.
The real reason you don’t hear anyone behind you is because Katsuki Bakugo has an eerie smile on his face at your bolt. He languidly stretches his arms above his head and relishes in the popping of his joints, and in succession the popping of sparks in his hand. He kicks one leg out, then the other just to ensure you get a fair head start.
You’ve just made this so much more interesting.
He sets off at a light jog, and even in his carefree pace his strides are enough to eventually catch up with you, instinct like an animal’s guiding him through the winding halls and ending up catching a glimpse of your feet as you turn into another lane.
You’re panting, sweat pouring down your eyes as panic makes it hard to breathe or think rationally. The adrenaline that was pushing you is now dying down but at the worst time.
You take a quick glance back and your rapidly beating heart falters as you see him with a grin on his face as he practically jogs leisurely behind you. You’ve seen this same face on him when he’s in the battlefield, blasting through enemy hearts and blowing up heads as if they were fireworks.
He’s bloodthirsty. He wants you.
“Running away again? That’s not very heroic of you babe,” he calls out, and it’s terrifyingly infuriating how he’s not out of breath.
“Leave me the fuck alone,” you half scream and sob, trying to run faster but failing miserably.
You see a bathroom sign out of the corner of your eye and frantically stumble towards it.
Katsuki knows you know he’s even you take a turn and he laughs to himself at how boringly easy this is.
Maybe he was scary.
He shakes it off and continues his hunt after you, coming forth until he faces the bathroom door in which you were cowering behind.
There’s a small window, and no other door. Just a couple of stalls, a terrified girl, and a psycho with the taste of revenge practically palpable on his lustful tongue.
He knock with faux politeness. “You wanna come out and do this the easy way or you want me to barge in and take you myself?”
You sob and wheeze in response, desperately pushing against the flimsy door in a pathetic attempt to keep him out. Bakugo merely crosses his arms and leans against the door, staring intently at it with a smile still on his face.
Judging by the weight pushing more at the bottom of the door, he can tell you’re probably sitting down in an effort to catch your breath.
You both know he can come in at any time he so well pleases, but he decides he’ll play by your rules for a bit longer, indulge you a little before your inevitable downfall.
He hums loudly and slides down to join your parallel position on the floor.
“I’m tryina be nice here, y’know. You acted so scared of me when I never even bothered you before. Aren’t I being nice right now by letting you choose for yourself?”
He sounds so conversational, as if he were talking to one of his buddies. You stay silent but your silence speaks volumes.
It serves as nothing but a means to piss him off further.
The two of you sit in silence for seemingly hours, even though it’s only around 20 minutes. Every second you feel like he’s going to break down the door any second and blast your face off, but miraculously he doesn’t.
You don’t know what you’d rather prefer: for him to prolong your strained agony by letting you be so close yet so far from him, or to end your suffering and get it done with.
But you needn’t sit in silence stewing in your own fear any further, for at the exact moment you begin to doze off with the dying of the light the weight on the other side of the door lifts and you startle awake at the scuffling on the other side.
You blink a couple of times and blanch when you see through the window the purple light indicating that you really have been here longer than you thought.
Bakugo cracks his knuckles and rolls his head, popping a few more kinks in his neck before breathing out and bracing for impact.
“Ready or not little bitch, here I come.”
“Bakugo, wait-!”
But your plea doesn’t last for more than two words. The door bangs open with such a sound that you actually think he’s blasted it straight off his hinges. You gasp and shield yourself, jumping backwards and covering your face.
“‘Thought I made it clear by now that you can’t run. So why’d you try to leave? Huh? Think you’re smarter than me? You think you’re stronger than me?”
He’s stalking forward again, and you’re left tripping back over your feet and whimpering at his salacious intent as he backs you up and corners you into a stall.
He already knows the answers to his rhetorical questions but he wants to hear you say it. He wants to hear that scornful conviction in your voice about how big and bad he was that you used earlier.
With you tripping backwards into the cramped stall, his approach quickens in hunger at feeling you, feeling the fear radiating off your body.
Bakugo presses up against you against the wall and takes up the space around you, invading your personal bubble. He’s everywhere, growling in your ear, hands gripping your waist so tight you’re sure bruises sprout from his touch, his erect penis grinding on the inside of your thigh.
Your trepidation and terror rises to an insurmountable height as he smothers you.
When he suddenly grips your chin and forces your head to face him you gasp. His touch is even more callous than you thought.
“You lookin’ here bitch? Good.”
His palm is raised towards you and before you can even widen your eyes in realization his appendage starts sparking madly. You shriek and try to throw him loose as little bits of embers fly out and made your face, his voice rough as always yet dangerously low and soft.
“S’not so scary after all is it? You’re reacting better to it than I thought.” Bakugo Blanca you mocks your writhing figure as you desperately try to evade the mini explosions.
“Okay, I get it, please stop I don’t like it!” You shrilly cry out but his hand moves from your jaw down to your neck, and squeezes the last remnants of opposition out of you.
“Yeah? Good, I’m glad you get it. But honestly, I don’t care if you don’t like it.
Because I like it. I fucking love this quirk, ‘specially when you cower so prettily under it like you did earlier.”
You choke and try to scrabble at his hands but it’s like a butterfly’s touch to him, barely producing any fruition.
“I kept wondering to myself: why do I care if she’s scared of it? And then I realized,” he leans in and lets his lips brush over your ear, lets his hand lessen ever so slightly so that your main focus is his words.
“You just looked good enough to eat when you know you’re beneath me. When you know how dangerous I am.”
He pulls back and assesses the look on your face. “Makes you look good enough to eat.”
And without further ado he lowers his hand and starts rubbing his alit palm on your clothed pussy, his erection getting harder as your screams wilt into whines.
Your legs flail uselessly as he burns a hole through your pants and his fingers hook aside the band of your panties.
Bakugo thrusts his hips forwards and grinds his straining cock on your moist lips, taking in your blubbers and teary eyes.
You can’t even speak, you can only cry out like a child as he thrusts harder and harder, so hard that your back hits the wall painful and the stall walls rattle behind you.
“You-pant-fucking scared-pant-now slut?” He rasps, his head bobbing on rhythm with yours as he practically lifts you off your toes to match his pace.
Your clit is caught between the fabric and rolled cruelly pleasurable as his tip leaks precum, staining your own panties in the process.
With your attention rapt on his now-uncovered dick sliding in and out of your folds, he takes this opportunity to take his other hand off your neck and blast the wall next to your face.
The second you open your mouth in shock as bits of tile rain down on your face he slams his steaming palm over your lips, burning the soft flesh as you weep openly.
He sets off two more near your sides and another above your head, his own face aligned right in front of yours so you can see the mean smile on his face all the while he sets your heart racing at an alarming speed.
When the smoke clears and you can start feeling glass and tile imprint on your once-smooth face, he positions his dick up so that it prods at your hole and yanks your hair back.
His eyes practically glow with the mini fires preserved in the walls with his blasts, the impact of the air rushing around him makes his hair even spikier, his body is taunt and even more imposing than before.
His teeth gleam with the orange and red light next to you. His chest doesn’t heave, because he’s at ease with your terror.
“You think you know fear?”
With one swift movement he shoves up into you, but this time he doesn’t cover your mouth.
“You haven’t met me truly yet.”

Trust
Pairing: Jay Halstead x Reader
Warnings: Slight angst
Requested by @anotherfan07: Could I request a Jay imagine where the reader is younger and the unit don’t think she’s really into him, that maybe she’s trying to get something! Maybe Hailey “catches” her being suspicious and hanging with a guy but in reality she’s trying to make a surprise for Jay! Maybe they confront the reader and Jay gets upset for not trusting her! Could ended it with a happy ending Thank you very much!!
A/N: I hope you enjoyed this! I’m still watching Chicago halfway (chronologically watching all three) and I haven’t seen a lot of Hailey yet so I’m not confident that I managed to express her parts well enough, I hope this turned out okay! Feedback always appreciated! Requests for Jay x Reader are still open, ask away! ^^

---
You looked up from your drink just as the door to Molly’s opened and he walked in.
Jay Halstead. He was impossible to miss when he walked into a room.
You had met Jay a few months ago when you had just moved in and settled into Chicago, alone. Then you had met Jay, the force of attraction almost magnetic from that first moment. At least, for you it had been.
Jay’s smile widened when he saw you, waving and making a beeline for you. “Heya, Y/N.” he greeted, as your heart skipped a couple of beats without your permission.
“Hey Jay.” You replied, taking a few deep breaths to make sure you sounded calmer than you felt, hoping he didn’t notice. Jay eyed your almost empty beer bottle before taking his usual drink from Herrmann, adding, “My tab” as he pointed to you.
Herrmann grinned and nodded. “Attaboy.”
“Haven’t seen you in a few days.” Jay commented, turning back to you, effectively shutting down any protests you might have had about him paying for your drink.
“Missed me?” you shot back, a comeback he used on you pretty often and Jay chuckled before waving at someone over your shoulder.
“I gotta…” He pointed to a table behind me and I turned, realising he was here with his team.
You nodded. “I’ll see you around.”
Jay paused, “Everything’s okay right?”
You laughed. “Yeah, perfect. Thanks for the drink.” You raised your beer bottle and he laughed, patting you on the shoulder.
Jay weaved his way through the crowd towards the rest of his team who were already settled in here, most of their drinks almost half drunk. Hailey raised her eyebrows at him, as if she was waiting for an explanation.
“Something you wanna tell me?” Hailey asked.
“What?” Jay asked, real confusion lacing his voice.
Hailey nodded her head towards you.
“She’s a friend.” Jay responded, taking a gulp of his drink.
Adam laughed. “Oh come on, not gonna speak for Jay but do we really think a younger girl like Y/N is interested in Jay?”
Jay raised his eyebrows at Adam, punching him on the arm. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
Kevin laughed as well.
Hailey looked back at Jay. “You sure she’s not trying to get something out of this?”
Jay frowned, “What do you mean?”
“Just looking out for you. You don’t really know her. She breezes into town a few months ago, no one knows anything about her. Just… be careful alright?”
Jay glanced at you, your back turned to him, taking the last gulp of your beer as you got up to leave. “She’s a good person.” He responded, waving at you when you turned in his direction before you left the bar.
---
Hailey pushed the door of the café open, stepping out onto the street, squinting against the sunlight while holding the usual 2 cups of coffee for Jay and herself. As she was about to get into her car, she spotted a familiar person from the corner of her eye and turned.
You were standing at the end of the street, looking down at your phone when a man Hailey didn’t recognise walked towards you. She watched as you sprung up, hugging the older man, a bright smile on your face as he discreetly handed you a small bag.
Hailey quickly got into her stationary car, so that she could continue to watch you without being seen. You looked up and down the street before peering into the bag and looking up at the older man, an even brighter smile shining across your face.
“Damn it.” Hailey muttered under her breath, starting her car, now even more sure you were taking Jay for a ride after what she had witnessed.
Despite Jay’s denial that he was interested in you, Hailey could almost read Jay like a book. You, on the other hand, she hadn’t been sure about and now, she felt almost certain that she had been right about you all along.
Hailey glanced uncertainly at Jay, as she walked in, placing the coffee cup on his desk. “Thanks.” Jay said, without looking up from his computer.
Hailey glanced up at Voight’s empty office, wondering if she should just bring it up with Jay now, while they still had time, before a new case dropped in their laps.
Jay noticed Hailey hovering and looked up. “You okay?”
“Jay… about Y/N…” Hailey began, studying his face.
If she didn’t know Jay well enough, she might have missed the small frown that crossed his face as he pushed his chair backwards.
“Look…” Hailey said, before Jay could say anything. “I know you think she’s a good girl, and that she’s sweet but…”
“But?” Jay asked.
Hailey sighed, “Has she said anything about what she wants from you?” She paused again as Jay kept silent, watching her.
“I saw her today. With a guy.”
Jay looked up, the frown crossing his face again.
“Jay… it didn’t look good, they were meeting at the corner of that street, you know…” Hailey raised her coffee cup. “He passed her a package and she hugged him. I think…”
Jay interrupted her this time. “Yeah, I get it.” Jay felt a wave of disappointment washing over him, its intensity surprising even himself.
They remained silent until the silence was broken by Jay’s phone. He read it quietly without saying anything before Hailey asked, “Jay?”
Jay sighed, “She wants to meet.”
“Do it. Let’s just cut to the chase and ask her what she wants.”
Jay hesitated but finally agreed, his fingers quickly typing a reply.
---
You lay on your couch, drumming your fingers against the fabric, holding back your urge to check your phone. Before long, you felt the notification vibration.
Sure. Molly’s at 6?
You smiled, glancing at the box that was now sitting on your coffee table. Sending him a quick emoji, you sat up. It was still early but maybe you would pick out something to wear. You really hoped this would turn out well.
---
You paused as you stood outside Molly’s, taking a deep breath. It was early, so you knew it would still be quiet, which hopefully was a good thing.
You pushed open the door stepping into the familiar bar, which was empty except for Jay. And Hailey… Confusion hit you but you pushed the uneasy feeling down and stepped forward, heading towards them.
“Hey.” You greeted them.
You hadn’t spoken to Hailey much, so you weren’t sure why she was here with Jay. Maybe they were on a case and Jay was just stopping by for a short while.
Jay didn’t look up but Hailey pushed herself off the bar stool.
“Let’s cut to the chase.”
You frowned, looking from her to Jay, who still hadn’t glanced in your direction.
“What?” You asked.
“Whatever you’re trying to get from… this…” Hailey pointed between you and Jay. “I don’t know what you think you can get out of this but drop it, okay?”
“What?” You repeated, really confused now. “I don’t…”
Hailey sighed. “Look, I saw you this morning with that guy. Whatever you think you can get from Jay… let’s just save everyone’s time. We don’t want to know what it is. Let’s just end this now.”
You felt your gut flip over and the wave of disappointment that hit you felt like it was constricting your heart.
“You think I…” You sputtered before you took a deep breath. “Jay? Are you in on this…?”
You trailed off as Jay looked up, the look in his eyes everything you needed to know yet didn’t want to know.
You swallowed past the lump in your throat. “Not that I owe anyone an explanation but I just needed to get a package from him…” You could feel your body start to tremble.
“A package?” Jay spoke up for the first time and you could feel your heart clenching so hard it was almost impossible to breathe.
Your nails were digging into your palms. You stepped forward, moving around Hailey to stand in front of Jay. “Yes, a package from my older brother. My older brother who drove 123 miles from Madison to pass me a package I asked for.”
You took the box out of your bag and placed it on the counter as Jay’s eyes widened looking at you.
“A package I was excited to give to you. Until now.” You struggled to keep your voice steady. “Happy Birthday Halstead.”
“Y/N…” Jay spoke but you turned away, moving towards the door.
“Do me a favour.” You turned to look at both of them. “The next time you guys wanna pull this Intelligence crap, do it all the way.”
You could barely see Jay’s face anymore as you felt the hot tears well up in your eyes. Spinning around, you marched out the door, no longer sure if you were hurt, disappointed, angry or all three combined.
Jay watched you march out of the bar, frozen to his chair, pretty sure he had seen tears glistening in your eyes before you had turned away. Hailey’s expression was just as shocked as his before they turned to the box you had left behind on the counter.
Quietly, Jay opened it and in there sat a charming wristwatch, with the initials J.H. engraved into it. It was a beautiful piece and something you must have gone to a lot of trouble to get done.
“Jay… I’m sorry… I just…” Hailey apologised.
Jay shook his head. “You were just looking out for me. It’s me… I can’t believe I…” he muttered, looking up.
“I gotta go.” Jay pulled back his stool and looked at Hailey.
Hailey nodded as Jay jogged out of the bar, looking up and down the street but you had already disappeared.
Jay looked back down at the box he held in his hand and put his hand up to his face. “What the hell Jay, you’re a jerk.” He muttered to himself.
---
You slammed your door behind you as you sunk to the floor, finally allowing the hot angry tears to flow down your face.
You had told yourself not to let your guard down when you had moved. You had told yourself you were going to be fine on your own and it had been working until Jay Halstead had come crashing into your life. You had stupidly thought the connection had been too strong to be fake. Even if all he saw you as was a younger sister, it was something.
Instead, he had seen you as a fraud – someone who was trying to gain something from him. He thought you were someone who made use of personal relationships. Your heart clenched tightly again and you closed your eyes, taking deep breaths.
When you felt you had calmed down enough, you got up and made your way further into the house, only to be interrupted by a knock at the door. You glanced at the clock on the wall, wondering who would be knocking on your door at dinner time. You hadn’t even ordered any food.
You opened the door only to be greeted by the one person you weren’t ready to see.
“What are you doing here?” You asked, your voice the coldest Jay had ever heard.
Jay raised the box of pizza and a six-pack of beer. “I brought a peace offering.” His voice was more somber than usual as well, although he tried to smile at you.
You didn’t say anything and didn’t move from the door either.
“Y/N… let’s talk, please?”
You already felt yourself giving in although you gave a half-hearted protest before Jay stepped into your apartment anyway, putting the pizza and beer down on the counter.
You closed the main door, walking past him further into your apartment without facing him. “I don’t think we have anything to talk about.”
“Yes, we do.” Jay insisted and you turned to face him.
You raised your eyebrows. “Alone? Don’t you need your friends here?”
“Look, I’m sorry. I was a jerk.”
You could literally feel your heartrate quickening again and that unsettling disappointment and anger rising up to your chest once again.
You finally spoke. “I thought maybe you just saw me as a little sister. And you know, I was fine with that, I could handle that. But a fraud, Jay? Is that what you thought of me?” You could feel your voice rising with every word that came out of your mouth but it was like you didn’t have control over yourself anymore.
“If that’s what you thought of me, why the hell have you been treating me like… like I mattered?” You were speaking way too loudly now, a hot tear rolling down your cheek without your say-so. Angrily, you brushed it aside, taking another deep breath. “What, was this your big test? To see what I would ask from you? Nothing, I didn’t want anything from you and I still don’t want anything from you. Good talk. The door’s that way.”
You turned away again, your heart clenching harder in your chest as another tear rolled down your cheek. It took all your energy to continue standing upright when all you wanted to do was roll up into a ball and cry out all your anger and disappointment.
When you were met with silence, you glanced behind you but Jay was just quietly standing there. “I know I was a jerk, I’m sorry. When I heard you were with another guy, I just…”
“What, Jay? You thought I was shacking it up with some other guy but I was trying to come on to you, because I needed something from you? I thought we had a connection. Even if you didn’t have feelings for me, I thought it was a genuine connection-“
Jay didn’t wait for you to finish. Instead, he closed the gap between the both of you in three strides, cupping your face with both his hands and bringing his warm lips down onto yours. In midsentence, your eyes widened but before you could protest you were swept into the kiss, almost like being sucked into a vortex, his lips brushing gently against yours before becoming firmer and firmer. Your stomach was tied up in knots, the butterflies were working overtime as you felt yourself sinking deeper and deeper before Jay gently pulled away, as if afraid to take it too far.
The room was almost spinning by the time Jay pulled away. You pulled your gaze away from his green eyes and he cleared his throat awkwardly. “It was a genuine connection, if you didn’t realise that already.” Jay said softly as your eyes snapped back up to him.
“I was a prick. I just… everyone said it didn’t seem like you were really interested in me so I… look, I’m sorry. I’ve been beating myself up since before you stormed out of Molly’s back there. I can’t believe I doubted you for even a second…” Jay started rambling.
“Jay.”
Jay didn’t let his eyes leave you for a second. “I’m sorry. Will you please let me make it up to you?”
You sighed as you looked up at him, your eyes flicking to the customised watch that you had almost thrown at him, now sitting snugly on his wrist. “Not if you don’t trust me.”
“Never again, I swear. I promise.” Jay said. “You want me to admit it? I behaved like an idiot, because I was jealous.”
You finally cracked a smile and Jay moved even closer, your bodies almost touching again. “And if you didn’t already know…”
He paused.
“Little sister my ass.”
You didn’t say anything, but you couldn’t anyway as Jay wrapped his arm around your waist, pulling you closer to him, bringing his lips to yours once again.

OK so let's say y/n was flirting with L at the task force hq and then as soon as light and y/n are alone he decides to punish her by spanking and degrading her also can you add titty fucking and a blowjob ;)
Jealous
Paring: Light x fem! reader
Warnings: Degrading, spanking, jealousy, bj, titty fucking, yeah
A/n: Hope you like! Not my best work but I did what I could lol
You had had enough. You spinned yourself on the three wheel chair as your so called boyfriend, Light ignored you once again. It was the third time this week that you’d go up to him, try to hug him and give him a kiss, but what would he do? Push you away.
You knew he was just trying to work, but it hurt seeing you and your boyfriend drift apart.
You stopped spinning, waiting for your head to stop spinning as well. You let your eye wander off into the building, looking for anything else to do. You saw L in his usual position in his chair, holding a plate with one hand and a fork with the other. You stared at the black haired man, ideas popping into your brain.
“No.” You told yourself and shook your head. The idea of trying to make Light jealous has been lingering around your mind for the past week, but you always dismissed it before the thought could continue. Jealous Light was something you didn’t want to mess with, it truly terrified you.
But yet again, he’s been ignoring you, making you feel like the feelings between the both of you were fading.
You thought for a moment, trying to gather your thoughts. Biting your nails, you looked around the room, eyes scanning for your stupid boyfriend.
You found him sitting next to his dad, a little far from where L was sitting. You thought again, did you really wanna mess with him?
Fuck it.
You stood up, fixing your posture, looking down at your blouse. Deciding to unbutton three buttons off your blouse, you walked towards L, who was very much enjoying his food.
“Hi L.” You greeted in a bit too high pitched voice with a smile. The dark haired man stopped his actions, mouth hanging open with a piece of cake hanging from his fork.
“Oh hi Y/n.” He placed his plate down, and motioned for you to sit next to him. You smiled at him again, sitting down, opening your legs a bit. You noticed L’s eyes trailing off to your legs, but he snapped them right back up at your eyes when you started talking.
“Sooo, what is up with the Kira case so far?” You asked him, resting your elbow on the desk and your chin on your hand. You watched as L trailed his eyes to your chest, this time you didn’t say anything, instead you let him enjoy the view, and waited to ask again.
“Uh well, so far we know he-he’s uh, using some kind of weapon that makes him kill anyone from anywhere.” You gasped at this, a clearly fake gasp but L wouldn’t know, he was way too lost in your chest to know.
“That’s horrible! But knowing you, you’ll catch him in no time.” L tensed as you grabbed his hand and played with his fingers, you didn’t look at him, but you did keep talking.
“You’re just.. so smart! I have faith in you, L.” The both of you looked at each other at the same time, L’s mouth hanging a little. “Th-thank you.” He told you. You let go of his hand, setting it on his desk and stood up, dropping one of his pencils as your hip bumped his desk.
“Oh, my bad!” You bent down to get it, knowing exactly the view you were giving him. You, very slowly, stood up and handed him the pencil smiling innocently. L was frozen, and you loved the effect you were giving him, but your heart belonged to only one man. Speaking of, you very slowly turned your head, and there he was.
Light was looking at you and L, that’s all you saw before quickly turning back to L and bending down to give him a kiss on the cheek.
~~~~~
“What were you two talking about?”
You spinned around in your wheel chair to face none other than your boyfriend, Light. You looked up at him with droopy eyes as he looked down at you, anger clearly in his eyes.
“I saw you talking to L, would you like to share what you were talking to him about?” He squatted down to your level, hands clasped together as he stared into your eyes. You gave him a small innocent smile and shrugged.
“Nothing much, why are you asking?” You asked him, heart starting to beat faster.
“Well, I’m asking because you were very very, close, super uptight next to him, perhaps you're withholding information that I should know about.” Light glared at you as you sat criss crossed on the chair.
“It was nothing important.” You answered back, and your heart skipped a beat at the way his nostrils flared.
“Well I can’t know that unless I know what you were talking to him about.” Light stopped your chair, as you started to spin in order to ignore him. You giggled at the sudden stop, looking up at Light as he held the chair.
“It was nothing important.” You repeated, making Light scoff.
“Don’t play dumb with me, I’m asking because it’s my duty to know whats going in and out of here.” Light slammed both of his hands on the desk, trapping you between him and the desk. You looked up at him, eyes burning into his.
“So?”
Light didn’t change his expression. What did change though was his grip on the desk. “If you have a problem with that, then you could gladly leave.” He responded, making a tricky grin spread across your face, a grin he fucking hated.
“Tell me what was happening!” He said louder.
“Why?”
“Because I want to know!” Light shook the desk behind you, making you raise an eyebrow.
“Are you jealous, Light?” You smirked. This took him aback as he stammered and took his hands off the desk.
“What?” He chuckled darkly, shaking his head. “You did not just say that. Jealous? Me? I’m jealous of what? The scrawny pale man who never gets sleep?” Light scoffed. The two of you stared at each other for a moment, before Light grabbed your chin and made you get up, pushing your back to the wall.
You gasped at the hit, closing your eyes but opening them quickly as you felt Light grip your hip.
“You should watch that mouth of yours, whores like you could easily be killed.” Light whispered into your ear, making you try your best to not give him a reaction. Light looked at you, eyeing your chest.
“All exposed like that? It’s as if you wanted to get fucked.” You gasped at the sudden rip on your shirt. Light made you take it off, throwing it to the ground. You held back a moan as he started to kiss your chest, then your neck.
“What are you doing?” You managed to get out, making Light stop his actions and look up at your face.
“Showing you to who you belong to, slutty girl.”
Light turned you around, making your hands hold onto the wall. You felt him move around behind you before a hard cold slap landed on your ass.
“Oh!” You gasped, closing your eyes at the sensation. There was a sting, it hurt, but it felt so good, it made you want more.
Light looked at your back as he massaged your cheek, another cold slap landing right after. It hurt. His hand was heavy and it hurt, a lot, but you wanted more. So much more.
Light noticed your tenseness, making him scoff. “You like that?” Before you could respond, another slap met your cheek, this one being harder than the rest. You arched your back and whined, nodding your head.
“Light.” You whined, no words escaping your mouth. He sighed, grabbing your waist and turned you around.
“Get down on your knees.” He ordered, and on God, you wish you could’ve done it faster.
You watched as Light unbuckled his belt, unbuttoning his pants and letting them fall to his ankles. You saw the outline of his hard on, making you swallow hard.
“You just wanted attention, didn’t you?” He grabbed a hold of your hair and yanked it backwards, making you look up at him. Your chest heaved as his grip in your hair tightened.
“You just wanted to get my attention, didn’t you?” He asked, almost tauntily. You nodded vigorously, making Light laugh.
“Such a desperate bitch.” He pulled down his boxers, his dick slapping on his stomach. “Show me how desperate you are.”
With shaky hands, you grabbed his dick, spitting on your other hand and coating it all over his memeber.
“Who would’ve thought that after all the times that I’ve punished you before, that you would know better when it comes to making me jealous.” Light groaned as he threw his head back, his grip on your hair never leaving.
You didn’t say anything back, too focused on jerking his dick off.
“You’re just so desperate to get fucked, you’d do anything.” Light pushed your hands aside and pulled you up by your hair, wrapping his hand on your delicate throat and squeezed.
“Tell me, dirty girl, what do you want from me?” He asked in a hushed voice. Your lips trembled, the submissiveness taking over you.
“I want to please you.” you squeaked. The smile on Light’s face made your pussy drool.
“Then please me baby.”
You swear you hurt your knees at how fast you got on your knees, but you didn’t care. You grabbed Light’s dick, pumping it a few times before shoving your mouth into him.
Light gasped at the sudden speed, a smile cracking in his mouth. He threw his head back and he held your head, trying to shove you deeper. You gagged around him, the vibrations making him inhale. You snaked your hand to your pussy, slowly rubbing your clit, making you hum in content.
With a pop, you let go of him, gasping for air as you jerked him off once again. Light moved a piece of your hair out of your face and bit his cheek, loving the way your eyes looked at him with need.
“Do it with your tits.” He ordered, making you stop your actions. You grabbed both of your boobs, centering Light’s dick between them and started moving them up and down. He groaned, the pleasure going through his body sending him over the edge.
“Faster.” He sighed, and you did, trying to hold the both of you together as you jerked him faster.
And before you knew it, he was cumming all over your chest and face. Light let out heavy breaths as he put one hand on the wall to keep himself up. You cleaned yourself up, getting back into your feet as Light stared at you.
“Sorry.” You mumbled. Light kissed your lips, tucking a piece of your hair behind your ear. “Don’t make me jealous again, you can wait till I’m done with work.” You nodded, putting your shirt back on as Light pulled his boxers and pants up, buckling his belt.
And as if on cue, L and Mr. Yagami came through the doors, holding packets of paper. A creep of blush tried to escape to your face, but you shook your head and followed Light behind, grabbing onto his sleeve.
Angst and smut"
hopefully its not too ooc this is my first MM smut so i hope you like! and thanks again for the request!!
* - you asked for smut and that really is all this is lol, little bit of story.
Song: wasted time by skid row
tag list: @cynic-spirit @juniebugg
+++++++++
i sat at the table sipping coffee and thinking. it was almost nine at night and i knew i should be getting ready for bed but my body wasn't quite ready to move yet. when matt disappeared into our bedroom i figured he'd be changing into daredevil for the millionth time but when he emerged in his pajamas i was a little surprised. and then it hit me. maybe he knew. hell, he always knew.
but maybe it was just that something was off, that i needed him to say it again, to stay with me and make sure i knew. but then there was her. she had showed up out of nowhere and took me off guard more than anything else up until now. one more doubt at the forefront of my mind. that i didnt believe him when he said he loved me despite being married for a year, despite having dated for three before hand, and despite everything he has done to keep me safe. because he loved her first and it felt like the biggest lie ive ever been told. even after a couple days of sitting on it and hoping it would go away. still it was there. in the back of my mind:
"matt i dont know if i can do this anymore."
his head tilted to the side and he looked confused.
"do what?"
he asked almost worried, moving slowly to the table and sitting.
"this, us. i just- you deserve so much more, so much better than- well, than me."
he was quick to scoot his chair closer to my own, his hand coming to rest on mine.
"hey, dont even say that. what would make you think i would want anyone but you?"
now he absolutely sounded worried.
"i saw her matt."
"saw who?"
i shook my head.
"that woman, your ex. you said she was gone."
"elektra?"
he sounded a little broken.
"shes something else ill give her that much. i see why you like her."
he swallowed hard.
"elektra is dead."
i shook my head.
"then why was she here? looking for you. saying your name with such... god i dont even know how to explain it. matthew."
i repeated it exactly as she had said it and it felt wrong. like i was acting. saying someone elses emotions and intentions. they were no longer mine. or at least it seemed like it. There was a long silence and I just stared at him.
"She was here?"
There was hope in his voice and I figured that was it. It made me angrier than it probably should've and my only response was to stand and walk away. I got half way across the living room before he caught my arm.
"Y/n, that doesn't matter. I-"
He swallowed hard and I tried to study his face.
"You mean more to me than anything. Yes I love, loved, her but I married you. I chose you. I want nothing more than to be with you. For better or for worse remember?"
He bargained and I sighed heavily.
"How can I be sure you mean that? What if she comes back? again."
He shook his head, taking both my hands in his and stepping closer to me.
"Let me prove it to you. If she really is back then it doesn't matter. I'm with you, I love you, and I'll always chose you."
I closed my eyes, feeling him get closer and closer until his forehead was against my own.
"We belong together."
He whispered before kissing me gently.
"I only want you."
He kept just as quiet, kissing next to my mouth once, then twice, making his way across my cheek and to my jaw.
"Matt."
I breathed out and he paused. I licked my lips lightly before opening my eyes and looking at him. He really did seem like he meant it. He was trying so hard to keep it together.
"I can't lose you."
He sounded so broken.
"Do it."
He drew his brows and I brought my hand up to touch his face gently. We were still so close I could feel his breath fanning my neck.
"Show me you mean it."
I said softly and his Expression changed.
"I love you so much."
He said before kissing me harshly, releasing my hands and pressing his fingertips into my hips. I hummed against him as he walked us backwards. We stumbled along as he pulled my shirt up, tossing it to the floor.
"Matt."
I moaned, pulling his shirt up next. It was gone in a second and he was back, kissing me and moving quickly to get my pants down. His hands roamed my body just as much as mine roamed his. I traced my fingers slowly up his torso, grazing over his scars before wrapping my arms around his neck. I gasped when he picked me up. There was a soft laugh that escaped him and I was relieved to see him smile even if it was just a second. He knew it would take some convincing and he was right. I needed to know he meant it. That Elektra wasn't gonna be a problem.
"I need you."
He whispered again, laying me gently on the bed and situating himself between my legs.
"I need you to know how much I mean it."
He kissed my jaw slowly, then down my neck and across my collar bone.
"Prove it."
I challenged, my breath hitching in my throat as he ripped my bra open from the front, his lips grazing my nipple before taking it into his mouth. He hummed against me, his finger tips down my torso and into my panties.
"Matt."
I moaned, dropping my head back as he ran his finger up me and against my clit. i closed my eyes, pushing my head back into the bed as he stroked me, kissing his way back up to my exposed neck.
"i love you."
he repeated against the heat of my skin. when he resituated i could feel how hard he was already.
"i need you."
i breathed out, pressing my hips up into him as he continued to finger me.
"matt."
i whined, him removing his hand long enough to pull my panties down. i looked up to him with lust blown eyes, watching him intently as he got rid of his boxers.
"youre still okay with this?"
he asked and i nodded quickly, pulling his face to mine and kissing him deeply.
"please."
i moaned, inhaling deeply before he kissed me again, pushing his hips into mine. my breath caught in my throat as he pushed all the way into me, catching my bottom lip between his teeth as my mouth hung open.
"i wanna hear you."
he said softly.
"feel you."
he moaned against my shoulder, dropping his head to the crook of my neck as he placed his large palm over my heart. it was already banging at my rib cage begging to be let out but i could have swore it did when he started moving. he pulled out of me slowly before slamming back into me and i moaned so loudly i was surprised at myself. and then he did it again and again, getting a good rhythm. it was long, and hard. nothing like our nights prior, even on his worst of days when he's frustrated and in need of release. no this was different. purposeful.
"matt."
i held onto him for dear life, pressing my fingertips into his shoulder blades as he continued to pound into me in long drawn out strokes.
"tell me. tell me what you want."
he grunted out, trying to sound as steady as possible.
"i want you. god i only want you!"
i cried out as he thrusted upward harshly. then he did it again and i saw stars, my mouth falling open as i moaned.
"thats my girl."
he praised, trailing his hand down my torso and pressing his finger in circles against my clit.
"youre almost there."
he coaxed, building me up. i could feel the tightness building, pressing my hips up to meet him as he kept his pace.
"im so close."
i panted, pressing my finger tips harder into his bicep as i gripped onto him.
"do it, do it for me, let go."
he said softly and i snapped. my orgasm racked through my body and my vision went blurry. i was breathing hard as he rode out my high, still chasing his own.
"im almost there."
he said, squeezing his eyes shut. he moved to pull out but i wrapped my legs tightly around his waist.
"y/n?"
he asked surprised and i leaned up to kiss him.
"just do it."
i said, pressing a hard kiss to his neck. he kept going, knuckles going white against the bedsheets as he came in me with a loud groan.
"oh my god."
he panted, slowing his thrusts.
"i love you oh my god."
he said, dropping to his forearms, trying not to put his full weight on top of me. my legs were still wrapped tightly around his torso as we both calmed down.
"i love you too matty."
i said softly, feeling him nuzzle his nose against my neck. it made me giggle a little bit and i could feel him smiling against my skin before kissing it gently.
"you have no idea how relieved i am to hear that. youre the only one for me. always will be."
i sighed softly in content, kissing his forehead and dropping my legs.
"im sorry i doubted you. i just. i need a reminder every once in a while i guess."
he kissed my chest before pulling out of me and dropping to the bed beside me.
"i will give you as many reminders as you need, as long as we both shall live."
he said, taking my hand in his and kissing the back of it.
"thank you matt. thank you for everything. especially knocking some sense into me."
he raised a brow, a half smirk on his face and i immediately wondered what was going through that mind of his.
"after tonight sense might not be the only thing i knocked into you."
i couldnt help but laugh, him matching it as i rolled onto his chest.
"i know you want nothing more than to tell the father we're finally starting that catholic family with lots and lots of beautiful babies but i still have my iud."
he let out a short laugh sigh before i kissed him quickly.
"but that doesnt mean i couldnt be persuaded into getting it taken out."
he raised an intrigued brow.
"oh?"
i laughed lightly.
"ill think about it. right now i just wanna live in this moment with you."
i said the last bit through a yawn, resting my head against his chest and hearing his heartbeat.
"i love you."
he whispered, earning a hum from me as i dozed off.
The cough drop // jjk
summary: Jungkook enchants you from the second he catches your eyes from the stage of the small venue. You already know you’re gonna be falling in too deep.
wc: 2,427
tags: jk fluff i guess idk what to call this, band au
notes: this is way longer than i meant for it to be but it was so fun to write, also let me know if i should make it into a series??? possibly??  part 2 is here!
You had gone to a show with your friends for some unknown band. You’re sitting at a high table with your head supported by your hand; you’d had a long day at work and just wanted to go home. You stared at your untouched drink that had been set there by your friends earlier that night thinking of exactly which pyjamas you were going to change into when you got home; you couldn’t wait. Looking up, someone was already staring at you, eyes partially shielded by his drenched hair. He’s overwhelming from the second you meet eyes.
Your breath caught unexpectedly in your throat causing you to choke and cough. You feel your cheeks burning as you try to regulate your breathing. Once you find your natural state again, you glance up to see him still staring at you but his lips are curled up in a smirk.
You try to carry on as usual for the rest of the night until it’s acceptable for you to excuse yourself to go home but you feel his eyes on you. You turn to look at him again only to discover that he’s walking in your direction, holding something in his hand. In under a second you decide to act indifferent towards him, already expecting him to pester you. When he reaches you, he taps your shoulder and holds out his hand.
“Here, you looked like you needed this earlier.” His words sound sweet but the sly smile on his face betrays him; it’s not what you were expecting.
You look down in his hand to find a cough drop. Inside, you want to laugh but you can’t give him the satisfaction. You look up with your best blank stare.
“Do you just carry these around so that you have a reason to talk to unsuspecting girls?”
The stranger laughs so loudly at that, throwing his head back and grabbing onto your table to steady himself. When he calms down, he opens the wrapper to the cough drop and pops it into his mouth.
“No, but that was funny! I keep them for after we get off stage and my throat is scratchy,” he says with the cough drop pushed against his cheek. “What’s your name?”
You’re quiet as you try to analyze him, searching for his true intention behind talking to you. When you’re silent for a beat too long, he continues.
“I’m Jungkook, my band is the one that was playing earlier.” He looks smug, like he’s trying to impress you.
“That’s nice, Jungkook, but if you’ll excuse me I’ll be getting back to my friends now.” You say it like you mean it, but you don’t really mean it. You meet his eyes and he throws his head back again as if you’ve just said the world’s funniest joke.
“Babe, I’ve been looking at you for a while; you’re not even interested in talking to them. I thought I’d come here and offer you my companionship.” He’s still smiling and his eyes are twinkling, you can feel yourself sinking deeper into his charm.
“What makes you think I want the companionship of a stranger,” you point at him, almost poking him in the chest, then move your hand to refer to the other people sitting at your table, “over my friends?”
“Well, by the way you lost your breath when I looked at you earlier, I’d hazard a guess that you wanna talk to me.” He looks so pleased when your cheeks flame up.
“I’ll have you know that I’m getting over a cold and THAT is why I was coughing,” you say hoping he doesn’t see through your lie.
He laughs and puts his hands up, in mock defeat while reaching for something from his back pocket. He pulls out a pen and leans over to the table to scribble something on the wrapper of the cough drop.
“Well, when you decide you want to talk to me, here’s my number,” Jungkook states while sliding the wrapper over to you.
“If. If I decide to talk to you,” you correct.
He smiles softly and shakes his head, you almost mistake it as an endeared action but you know your eyes must be deceiving you.
“Okay, if you decide to talk to me, there it is,” Jungkook says as he’s walking backwards to get back to his table, still looking at you.
You let out a shaky breath, glad that you’re by yourself again. Only, you think to yourself, he wasn’t as bad as you thought he’d be. You know you’ll decide to text him later but what he doesn’t know yet won’t kill him. You finally excuse yourself from your friends, eager to get home and on your drive back you can’t get Jungkook out of your head. His sparkling eyes, the piercings that line his ears, the tattoos he has on display. His image and his words are engraved in your brain.
You throw your keys onto the coffee table when you get back to your apartment and head to your room. You look at the wrapper with Jungkook’s number written on it. Trying to convince yourself that you have no idea why you took it is futile, you know exactly why you did. Against all logic, you take your phone and type a message to him.
[you]: DONT take this as me deciding to talk to you
[you]: i was just wondering if you could tell your tall buff band member that i liked his voice
You laugh to yourself for a second before worrying he won’t get that you aren’t serious. You set your phone down and try to push down the regret that’s spreading throughout your body. Your phone dings and you reach for it immediately.
[coughkook]: oooh :( my wounded feelings i’ll never recover
[coughkook]: i won't be tell anyone anything
[coughkook]: but
[coughkook]: you can come to our next gig and maybe i’ll let you talk to him
You roll your eyes at his last message. “Let you talk to him,” you scoff and look at your phone when it dings again.
[coughkook]: it’s next friday at 8 i’ll send the address
You don’t respond after he sends it, wanting to keep Jungkook on his toes. Truthfully, you’ve already decided to go and are drafting up an excuse to cancel the plans you had with your friends.
You don’t talk to Jungkook for the next five days, until you show up to the address he sent you. You take a seat halfway between the stage and the door and look around to find Jungkook on stage with his band members. He’s talking to the buff member you mentioned to him last week, the one you thought was cute but not nearly as enchanting as Jungkook. He spots you and leaps down the stairs of the stage, god he’s so cute.
“You came,” he says with a big, too bright smile compared to the dark atmosphere of the small venue. “We go on in like, ten minutes; I hope you’re ready to be blown away.”
You scoff and roll your eyes. Jungkook needs his ego taken down a notch or two but you still find him captivating.
“Yeah, yeah just go warm up,” you say with false annoyance and send him a small grin.
He runs back to the stage and gives you a thumbs up and that same blinding smile. Your head shakes involuntarily but in your head, you know you’re locked in for good. When the lights to the venue dim even more, you sit up straight to capture every moment of Jungkook while he’s performing. You’re not ready for the next 45 minutes you experience. Jungkook’s voice is so beautiful and so full of every emotion you can think of. You can’t look away even if you tried to. Is it the stage lights or is he actually glowing? His presence overpowers everything. The way he moves with a purpose on the stage, his hand pushing his hair out of his face every so often, his eyes locking with yours. You won’t forget any of it.
When Jungkook and his band are done, he looks to you and holds up his index finger to let you know he’ll be back in a moment. You’re thankful, you feel like you need an infinite amount of time to wrap your head around what happened enough for you to speak coherent sentences. Jungkook walks around the side of the stage and practically floats to you. As he gets closer to your table he points to a full glass of water you had ordered for him earlier with a smile and shoots his eyebrows up, as if to ask if it was for him. You motion for him to go ahead and he downs the whole glass in one go. Endearingly shaking your head at him has become second nature to you by now. He slams the glass down on the table and clears his throat.
“Well?” he asks, expectantly.
“Well what?” you reply knowing what he’s asking for but playing dumb anyway.
“Well what did you think?” you’re silent so he continues, “Of us? Of me?”
“Oh that! Yeah, it was good, I guess.” It was more than good but you don’t want to inflate his already too large ego.
“Just ‘good’? You were on the edge of your seat the whole time! You basically fell out of the chair!” he says, exasperatedly. He narrows his eyes at you, “I see right through you, you know.”
“Yeah, whatever,” you say and hop off your chair. You push his shoulder to direct him to the table where his band members are. “Aren’t you gonna introduce me anyway?”
He groans but leads you there where he introduces you to them. It’s obvious that they’re more like friends than bandmates. There’s four in the band with him, Namjoon, Hoseok, Jimin, and Seokjin, and two friends Yoongi and Taehyung. You decide within a few minutes you like them all a lot.
“So you met Kookie at our last gig, right?” Namjoon asks. He’s the buff one.
“Ah, yeah. He bothered me until I gave in and messaged him, didn’t you ‘Kookie’? ” you joke and turn your head to see him roll his eyes and huff.
“Sounds like him, when are you gonna stop bothering strangers?” Hoseok directs to Jungkook.
“I can’t believe you guys are actually falling for this! I had her swooning for me the second she saw me,” Jungkook retaliates.
You wish what he said wasn’t true but you know it is. And seeing him with his friends doesn’t help the growing feelings in your chest. You spend the rest of the night talking with them and learning every embarrassing piece of information you can about Jungkook, you’ll use it all later. Way too often do you lose yourself in staring at Jungkook. He’s too alluring for his own good. When the night comes to an end, Jungkook offers you a ride home. Normally, you wouldn’t accept but you couldn’t refuse the way he begged you to go with him. In the car, Jungkook complains about how you spent too much time talking to his friends rather than him.
“Wait… did you think I was there for you?” You cover your mouth in faux embarrassment to accompany your act.
Jungkook’s head turns towards you. He’s got his mouth open in shock and he’s trying to come up with words when you take pity on him.
“I’m just kidding, Jungkook. Of course I went for you. You were really good,” you flush pink as you say it but not as pink as Jungkook flushes when he hears it.
“Thank you,” he mumbles and you laugh out loud.
The rest of the ride is spent with you teasing him for getting jealous and him teasing you back for getting so caught up in watching him. Neither of you deny it because you both know you can’t. Jungkook rolls to a stop in front of your apartment building and looks at you.
“I’ll message you when I get home, okay?”
You nod and let out a breathy “okay.” You thank him and tell him goodnight and walk up the stairs to the lobby of the building. You turn to look at him and he gives you a confused look.
“Why aren’t you going in yet?” he shouts.
You laugh loudly. “I wanna watch you drive away!”
He makes a face and you giggle.
“Get back in your car, Kookie.” You shoo him with your hand.
He laughs to himself and it's his turn to shake his head at you but he listens to your instructions anyway. You watch him drive off until you can’t. You can’t think straight so much that you might as well levitate up to your apartment. Jungkook makes you dizzy. You’re not even sure how you changed out of your clothes and got into bed with less than half a brain left. You don’t wait long for Jungkook’s message.
[coughkook]: i’m home :)
[coughkook]: thanks for coming <3
You smile to yourself and respond wasting no time.
[you]: thanks for inviting me! :)
[coughkook]: come to our next one?
[coughkook]: if you can
[coughkook]: the boys liked you, thought you were funny. they want you to come again
You roll your eyes at Jungkook’s ego again.
[you]: hmm the boys or you?
[coughkook]: the boys AND me want you to come again
Your heart beats faster in your chest. You weren’t expecting Jungkook to be so honest, so quickly. You definitely would go again, definitely will go again, actually.
[you]: oooh you like me so much
[you]: i’ll come
[coughkook]: ugh
[coughkook]: yes but i know you like me too so we’re even
[you]: hm
[you]: that’s fine with me
[coughkook]: good
[coughkook]:i’ll text you in the morning, goodnight <3
[you]: goodnight kookie
You assume he won’t see it until morning but you send him another message anyway but you’re surprised to see that he responds immediately. Wasn’t he supposed to be asleep or could he not sleep because he was replaying every moment he had with you, the same way you were doing with him.
[you]: i wasn’t sick
[coughkook]: i know LOL you thought i was pretty didn’t you?
[you]: ugh yes but i know you think i’m pretty too so we’re even
Your face burns at Jungkook’s last message of the night.
[coughkook]: yeah but even if we weren’t even i would still think you’re the prettiest girl i’ve seen
A/N: This imagine is based off of the song “All My Friends,” by AJ Mitchell. It doesn’t entirely relate to the song, and didn’t turn out exactly how I thought it would, but I hope that you enjoy it nonetheless. This is my first “Outer Banks,” related imagine, I’m sure it doesn’t do the show justice, but I thought I’d try because I can’t stop thinking about the show.
The sections in bold are song lyrics and flashbacks are in italics; just to clear any potential confusion.
Requests are open, as always, feel free to request anything Outer Banks related...or any of the other that fandoms I write for!
“I’m done, I can’t do this anymore,” JJ broke down rushing around his room to aimlessly throw his belongings into his bag.
“JJ, please calm down,” I beg, reaching out to touch him until John B’s arms wrapped around my waist, halting my movements. I look up at him in frustration, trying to force myself out of his arms.
“Stop, he needs to do this,” he commands softly, holding me against his chest. Kie, Pope, and Sarah watch the scene in silence, the tension in the room growing thicker as we watch JJ pack his bags.
“JJ-”
“Don’t Kie, nothing you say is going to keep me from leaving,” he barks, glaring at her. His whole body trembling with anger due to argument that he had with his dad moments earlier. “I’m done.”
My heart drops at the sight of him; knowing full well that even I won’t be able to convince him to stay.
An hour later we stand on the dock watching hundreds of people board the ferry. Everyone stands in silence anticipating having to say goodbye, but seemingly afraid of the moment that we’d be forced to do so.
JJ’s hand slides into mine tightly gripping onto my fingers. I close my eyes, trying to stay calm and support his decision of leaving the island, even though I want to beg him to stay.
“It’s time,” Pope sighs, breaking the silence as we all share sad glances.
“Are you sure you want to do this?” I whisper to JJ, pulling him into my arms. “I’ll talk to my parents, you know that they’ll let you stay with us. Please, just don’t leave me here.”
“I can’t move in with you,” he states, his words slightly muffled by my hair. “I have to go, and I need you to support this decision.”
“Then let me come with you,” I insist, frowning when he pulls himself from my grasp so that he can look at me. “We promised that we’d never leave each other-”
“We were four years old,” he sighs, shaking his head. “I love you but this is something I need to do on my own, okay?” I simply nod in response; not trusting my voice. He pulls me back into his arms one last time, whispering a “thank you” before he moved to say his goodbyes to everyone else. I stand to the side, looking anywhere but at my friends as each of them had their moment with him.
Kie and Sarah joined me, giving me sympathetic looks before pulling me into side hugs so that we could stand together. I lay my head on Sarah’s shoulder, watching John B pull JJ into his arms one last time.
“Take care of yourself, JJ,” he stated as they pulled away from each other.
“You know I will,” he winked, clearly trying to lighten the mood and take our attention away from the tears threatening to spill from his eyes. He takes a moment to salute at us, his eyes meeting mine one last time before he spun around to board the ferry without looking back.
-----------------
“Why can’t I just hide in my room,” I huff exasperatedly flopping on my bed backwards tired of hearing my mom ramble about needing to get back to a normal routine.
“Listen to me, it’s been nearly a month. I know how deeply you care for him, but this has got to stop,” she states walking out of my closet empty handed. “You’ve never liked this house, and now it seems that all you want to do is spend your time here. As much as I love having you around, I’m worried.”
“Mom,” I groan, shifting to face her. “You don’t have to worry. I’m perfectly fine.”
“I’m your mother. As much as you think you can lie to me, you can’t. So don’t start,” she warns, raising her eyebrows as she sat on the bed next to me. I sigh, shoulders slumping in defeat, as the front I attempted to put on slowly vanished. “Love is strong, especially when you’re young. Sadly, when you sign up for love you also sign up for potential heartbreak. The fact that you’re hurting so deeply just shows that it was real.” I listen intently, tears springing into my eyes at her words.
“But I didn’t sign up for it, mom. He’s my best friend, not my boyfriend,” I huff, as if trying to deny what I already know is true.
“You and I know full well that you don’t have to be dating someone to be in love,” she replies, sending me a gentle smile. “Your relationship with JJ is a prime example of that. You’ve been in love with that boy for years and, from what I’ve seen, he is just as in love with you.”
“I know that you’re mourning what you lost, but you can’t stop living because of this,” she continues, tucking hair behind my ear, caressing my cheek. Her thumb wiping away the single tear escaping my eye. “You have friends that love you; who want to be able to walk through this with you and quite frankly, I’m running out of excuses as to why they can’t come see you.” A quiet laugh falls from my lips between quiet sniffles, still unable to muster up any words.
“I know you feel alone, because you love him, but your friends are working through letting go of JJ too. You weren’t the only one the boy left behind when he left the island. He was their best friend too,” her fingers tenderly brush through my tangled hair, knowing how that it’s always helped me relax. “With that being said, I think you would start feeling a lot better if you stopped pushing them away, don’t you?”
“I guess,” I sniffle, not enjoying the fact that she’s right.
“Great, because I told them to pick you up on the dock in an hour,” she smiles brightly, scrunching up her face as she awaits my response.
“Mom,” I exclaim, shooting up from my bed. “Why would you do that? I haven’t showered in a week! There’s so much that needs to be done!”
 She laughs from her spot on the bed, watching me haphazardly pull clothes out of my closet. I hurry towards the bathroom with a heap of clothes in my arms, pausing to drop everything on the bed to wrap her in a hug. “Thank you.”
------
Crowded but a lonely place
Sittin’ at a table full of double dates
And everywhere I go, I wanna see your face
I take a sip from the solo cup in my cold hands, shuddering due to the breeze that passed by. My attention on John B and Sarah seated across from me, laughing at something Pope had said. The boneyard buzzing with multiple groups of people due to the kegger currently taking place on the beach.
 I zone out from the conversation to study my surroundings. A familiar emptiness settling in as I mindlessly scan the crowd in search of JJ even though I know he isn’t here. Scanning my surroundings in search of him has become a part of my routine; seemingly a side affect of missing him.
My eyes trail over my friends, each looking exceptionally light, carelessly engrossed in their conversation. Two months ago, I would have been happy at the sight but something is missing. Someone is missing and I’ve caught myself feeling completely alone in moments like this one. JJ’s arm should be carelessly draped over my shoulders but instead there’s an empty spot next to me, and a deep longing that never seems to go away. Our group has been perfectly paired up ever since Sarah and John B got together, Pope and Kiara following soon after, but now I’m always left feeling like a fifth wheel on a double date.
“Hey,” Kie’s voice cals, pulling my attention back to my friends. The small fire in front of us casts shadows on each of them as I’m met with Kie’s concerned face. “You good?” Her question catches me off guard and forces me to shift uncomfortably in lawn chair under everyone’s gaze.
“Um, yeah, I’m fine. I guess that it’s kind of hard to enjoy parties anymore,” I shrug, trying to muster up a reassuring smile. “They’re not the same without JJ.” Her concerned expression drops into one of sympathy and I immediately regret saying anything. John B whispers something to Sarah, pressing a soft kiss against her temple, before he moves to take the empty seat next to me. He wordlessly slings his arm over my shoulders and pulls me into him, resting his chin on my head.
“I miss him too,” he whispers looking down at me.
“I should’ve gone with him,” I state, John’s eyes softening at the tears filling my eyes. “When we were young, we promised each other that we wouldn’t leave unless we were together.” A tearful laugh falls from my lips at the memory. “Yet, when it actually came down to it, he didn’t seem to give leaving me behind a second thought. I should have tried harder to-”
“Stop,” John interrupts gently tilting my chin so I would look at him. “I know it hurts, but I love you too much to watch you do this to yourself.”
His thumbs catch tears that I didn’t even realize were falling. “JJ is stubborn and hard to get through to, you know that. I know there was a part of him that wanted to take you with him but he needed to do himself. We’ve been cleaning up after him for as long as I can remember. I think he realized that he needed to be able to make his own decision without having anyone else to worry about.”
“I want to hate him,” I admit with a heavy sigh. “I feel like I want to be angry with him but I can’t.” John nods in agreement, seeming to understand what I meant. “I just feel so broken, JB. He’s my best friend.”
“I know,” he sighs, pulling me against his chest again. “We’ll get through it together.”  ---------------- Pictures, I’m reminded
Of good times, how we tried it
Don’t know how to get you out of my mind
I don’t have it in me to deny it
Sitting cross-legged on the floor of the guest bedroom at the chateau, I shuffle through the old photo album I’d found. My lips curve into a smile when I come across a couple of more recent photos that were haphazardly stuffed into the back of the tethered book. They were taken on a cheap disposable camera that JJ bought me after he overheard me talking to Kiara about how much I’d been wanting to buy one.
It was a beautiful day so we’d packed the HMS Pogue up with fishing supplies and snacks having opted to spend the day on the water.
The sun had just started going down, each of us sun kissed and slightly tipsy as we waited for the sunset. I was curled up on the front of the boat with JJ, clad in his t-shirt with a blanket strewn across our laps. My back rested against his front, his chest vibrating with soft laughter as John B clambered back into the boat, soaking wet, after he’d lost his balance while wrestling with Pope. John B let out a string of threats as we all laughed at him, mostly due to the look on his face when he realized he was going down.
I smiled at the way that JJ hugged me closer to him when our laughter died down. He adjusted me in his lap, his arms still wrapped tightly around my torso as I focused on the sunset ahead of us. I was so focused on the view that I didn’t notice Kie approaching us with my camera in her hands. We’d all taken turns taking photos on it because I was antsy to get them developed to see how they would turn out.
JJ, also oblivious to Kie’s presence, pressed a gentle kiss to the crown of my head right as the flash of the camera went off causing both of us to jump slightly.
“My eyes,” JJ exclaims, a laugh falling my lips when his hands suddenly moved in front of my eyes as if he was going to protect them from another flash. I heard the camera click again causing JJ to protest. “Kie, I’m going blind here.”
JJ’s hands fell from my eyes; returning to their original spot on my waist. Kie stood in front of us lifting my camera again to taunt him. My head fell back against JJ’s chest, loud loud laughs falling from my lips, as JJ shouted threats at Kie. Pope and John B had since joined in on the fun, egging Kie on. JJ halted his movements, an endearing smile on his face as he looked down at me, watching me laugh.
“Now would be a good time to take a picture, Kie,” John whispered, prompting her to catch the sweet moment.
I shake my head; fingers delicately brushing over the pictures.
“I thought you’d be hiding in here,” John’s voice rang, pulling me out of my trance. I look up at him from my position on the floor. His arms cross against his chest, a lazy smile on his lips, as he leaned against the door frame.
“Yeah, sorry,” I blush, watching him stalk over to where I’m seated.
“I remember that day,” he smiles, taking one of the pictures from my hands. “Times we much simpler then.” I nod in agreement; wordlessly pushing a loose strand of hair behind my ear.
“I thought he was going to kiss me,” I admit with a small laugh.
“Me too. I’m convinced that he would have if Kie hadn’t ruined the mood,” John replies, moving to flip through the photo album on the floor.
“Actually, the mood wouldn’t have been ruined if you hadn’t encouraged her to take the picture. So I think you’re the one to blame,” I joke, shoving his shoulder.
“That may be true, but at least we captured the moment and you can keep it forever.” He throws his hands up in surrender and gestures to the picture before returning his attention to the photo album.
“He loves you a lot. You know that right?” John asks, breaking the comfortable silence. “God, he always looked at you like that.” John’s voice broke with a lighthearted laugh.
“He did, didn’t he?” I whisper, relishing in the memories of how JJ always looked at me as if I was all that mattered. “I can’t stop thinking about him, John B. I mean, he’s been gone for weeks and hasn’t even bothered to call. Doesn’t he realize that we’re worried about him? I can’t walk into a room without looking for him or go to sleep without having nightmares about him being alone.”
“Hey, it’s JJ we’re talking about. He’ll come around eventually. I miss him like hell, but I know that he needed to go.”John assured pulling the pictures out of my hands so that I would look at him. His hand came up to caress my cheek, just like JJ had done since we were young. “I also know that he’d hate it if he knew how much this is hurting you.”
“I just wish he’d call. I hate missing him.”
“I know,” he sighs, pulling me into a loose hug. We stayed like that for a long time, John holding me against his chest as he quietly shared stories about his dad. We only moved when my head began lulling to the side, fighting to keep my eyes open. John wordlessly stood up, sticking his hand out for me to grab. “I’ll tell your mom that you’re staying over again.”
“Thank you,” I yawn, giving him a quick hug before he exited the room. I turn around, pulling on one of the sweatshirts JJ always left out for me to wear. It doesn’t smell like him anymore, but still brings me the same sense of comfort that it always has.
Spending the night at the chateau is the only way I seem to be able to get a decent nights sleep nowadays. Something about staying in the guest room, that JJ practically claimed as his own, seemed to cure my tendency to lie awake at night worrying about him. I curl under the covers feeling myself relax almost immediately as sleep welcomed me.  --------------------
Cause everybody, everybody knows something I don’t
Where are they? I think to myself, eyebrows furrowing together when I notice that the Twinkie isn’t parked in front of John B’s house. I stalk up the driveway and let myself into the house.
“Hello,” I call, only to be met with silence. I pull my phone out of my pocket, quickly dialing Kie’s number in confusion.
“Hey you,” She answers, sounding slightly nervous.
“Where are you guys? I thought we were meeting at the chateau,” I respond, ignoring her tone.
“Pope was supposed to call you,” she sighs, only making my confusion grow.
“What do you mean, why?”
“Well, we all kind of got called into work last minute. The boys are helping Heyward set up for midsummer’s and I have to cover for a waitress that didn’t come in,” she explains, and I hear hushed whispers on the other line.
“Why do you sound so weird? What’s wrong?” I ask, noticing the weird strain in her voice.
“Weird? I don’t sound weird. Everything’s fine,” she dismissed. The whispers on her end of the phone only growing louder. I can’t make out what’s being said but I’m certain that John B was among the people whispering.
“Kie, what is going on? Are the boys th-”
“Hey, I’m sorry I have to go. Sorry for bailing on the plans last minute, but it’s urgent. I’ll meet you at Sarah’s to get ready for tonight,” she quickly rushes before hanging up the phone.
I slide my phone into my pocket with a frown, deciding to walk to Sarah’s now seeing as everyone else seems to be busy. I kick at loose rocks on the ground; thinking back to my conversation with Kie. They’re definitely hiding something. I furrow my eyebrows, feeling annoyed due to being in the dark about what was going on.
I can’t seem to settle down,
Cause I’m waiting on you to come around
Midsummers has been going on for nearly an hour, and I’ve been on edge the whole time. This year was the first year that all of the Pogues, excluding JJ, are attending the party. Pope being here to help Heyward prepare food while John B is Sarah’s plus one.
I’ve been eyeing my friends closely all night, noticing multiple moments of hushed whispers whenever I came back around. I’ve only grown more and more frustrated at their lack of explanation as to why they are acting so suspicious.
“Okay, I don’t know what the hell is going on, but I’m over it. If someone doesn’t give me answers right now, I’m leaving,” I huff, walking over to my friend group, huddled by the food tables away from everyone else. They turn around in surprise, my tone clearly catching them off guard. I cross my arms, patiently waiting for someone to speak while they share a glance. Everyone’s eyes landing on John B. Whose eyes were trained on something behind me, a slight smile adorning his face.
“Leaving so soon? But the party just got here,” a familiar voice states behind me causing goosebumps to rise on my skin; my breath catching in my throat. My heart pounds against my rib cage as I turn around in shock, a loud gasp leaving my lips at the sight of the blonde boy standing in front of me with his hands in his pockets.
“JJ,” I choke out, hands shooting to my mouth in disbelief. His figure blurs with the tears filling my eyes. I wordlessly watch him step closer to me, seemingly frozen in place at the sight in front of me.
“It’s me,” he whispers. “I’m right here.” All of my emotions hit me the moment his hands tenderly cup my face, thumbs brushing away the shocked tears. I throw my arms around him, trying not to make too much of a scene as quiet sobs fall from my shaking frame. A wave of peace rolls over my body at the realization that JJ is okay and is safely tucked in my arms.
The rest of the Pogues come around us, wrapping us in the middle of an emotional group hug. When the hug breaks, I cling to JJ for a few more seconds, not entirely convinced that he’s actually in front of me. His lips press a gentle kiss on my forehead, quietly assuring me that he was there.
“Don’t leave me again,” I demand, pulling myself away from his grip. “My heart can’t handle it.”
“I promise, I’m here for good,” he laughs, pulling me into one more hug before we return to reality. We spend the rest of the party catching up and enjoying each others company. For the first time in weeks, things feel okay.
---------------------
And everybody lookin’ like a honeymoon
But all that I have been looking for is me and you
Glancing around John B’s living room, a content smile forms on my face. I take a mental snapshot of the moment; relishing in how good it feels to be together again. Our bodies clad in pajamas all squished together on the small pullout couch. We shared stories for hours, everyone falling asleep one by one until me and JJ were the only two left awake.
“Do you want to go to the guest room? As much as I love these guys, I don’t really want to wake up groping any of them,” he whispered, pausing when Pope stirred in his sleep. I smile, pressing my finger to my lips to signal him to be quiet as I slowly crawl out of bed, trying not to wake any of them up. JJ follows soon after, successfully making it off of the mattress without disturbing anyone. He nods toward the hallway, lacing his fingers with mine before pulling me towards the room.
We wordlessly crawl under the covers and settle into a comfortable silence, noticing the sun beginning to peak through the blinds. JJ wraps his arms around me, pulling me into his chest with a content sigh.
“I’ve missed this,” I murmur, breaking the peaceful silence. JJ hums in agreement, pressing a chaste kiss on my forehead mumbling a soft, “me too,” against my skin. My heart swells at the feeling, a sudden wave of confidence spreading through my body forcing me to sit up in the bed abruptly, pulling myself out of his grasp.
“What’s wrong,” he asks, mirroring my movements as he shifts to face me. I instinctively grab his hand; fingers tracing the lines on his palms to keep myself from looking at him.
“I need to tell you something,” I state after a few moments of silence, hesitantly tearing my gaze away from our hands. I’m met with a concerned expression, his hand moving to push my hair out of my face.
“What is it?” I sigh at his question, nerves beginning to settle in as I stare at him. You have to tell him, I think to myself, there’s really no going back at this point.
“JJ I-” I pause, pressing my lips together in a thin line. The fear of telling him how I feel eating away at me, while he patiently waits for me to continue.
“You can tell me,” he smiles, a slight glimmer in his eyes.
“The last three months have been absolute hell,” I admit, watching his supportive expression drop at my words. “I was forced to watch everyone else continue on with their lives while I was just stuck.”
He opens his mouth to say something but I shake my head, silently beginning him to let me continue. “You’ve been this constant thought on my mind. It’s kind of funny actually, it seems that you constantly demanded my attention even when you weren’t here,” I laugh lightheartedly, wiping away the tears that escaped my eyes.
“Anyway, your being gone gave me a lot of time to think and I’ve realized that I can’t keep pretending that I don’t feel a certain way about you,” JJ’s eyes urge for me to continue as his hand gently squeezes my own. “JJ, I’m in love with you.”
My words echo in my ears, heart beating rapidly in my chest, as I stare at my best friend. “I can’t keep pretending that I’m content with just being your best friend. It’s okay if you don’t feel the same way, but I have to be honest with you. All I could think about was-”
“Stop talking,” he interrupts, hands gripping my shoulders as a serious expression crosses over his face, making my heart drop. Our friendship is over. I just got him back and I’m going to lose him again. “You’re insane if you think I don’t feel the same way about you.” He moves his hands to cup my face, his eyes flickering down to my lips. “Leaving made me realize that the only time I feel safe is when I’m with you.” He hesitated for a moment before closing the gap between us with a kiss. His lips pressing against mine urgently as he pulled me into his lap.
“God, you’re all I’ve ever wanted,” he sighs, after breaking the kiss. Our chests heaving slightly due to the previous lack of air.
“Don’t leave me again,” I state, shoving him backwards onto the bed, watching him laugh in surprise. He flips us over, pinning me to the bed as his lips met mine again.
“I’m here for good,” he murmurs, pulling me into his arms after collapsing next to me. The beating of his heart lulled me into a peaceful sleep, resting on his promise to stay.
When the usual morning announcement came across the monitors, It was sort of disappointing because for a moment they had thought they escaped the school but reality was once again upon them.
Makoto pulled himself out of bed upon hearing a knock at his door, he didn’t think twice about going to it and opening It, figuring it was probably Kyoko.
But Instead It was Ibuki Mioda. “GOOD NOM NOM NOMMING!” she greeted cheerfully (and loudly).
Makoto yelped and stumbled backwards In surprise. “U-Uh, Good morning Ibuki.” He smiled sheepishly.
“Ibuki volunteered to come get you and the others to come to breakfast! So throw on some snazzy duds and come on down!” She instructed, bouncing off to the next door and knocking on it.
Makoto smiled a bit and closed his door to get ready for the day. Once done he stepped outside his room and glanced around, He spotted several of his classmates on their way to the stairs.
Kyoko had waited for him. “You’re late.”
“S-Sorry. I had trouble finding my clothes… Monokuma kind of just threw my stuff everywhere.” Makoto apologized as he walked with the purple haired girl.
“You mean you went to sleep with your stuff everywhere?” She asked, surprised.
“Y-Yeah… I was tired.” He replied sheepishly.
“Good morning Makoto!” Hina greeted as she dashed past him down the stairs.
Makoto stumbled and grabbed the handrail.
“Whoa, Hina! Where’s the fire?” Hiro asked with a chuckle. She pointed at the Biker at the top of the steps.
Mondo mumbled under his breath, apparently he’d been chasing her but didn’t want to risk tripping and falling down the stairs so he gave up his pursuit for now.
Once In the dining hall they noticed all the tables had been pushed together into one massive table. They also observed that while not everyone was here yet, Chihiro was already sitting next to Chiaki chatting happily.
Makoto smiled, happy his friend seemed to have made a friend. “So, Where should we sit? Does anyone have specific seats?” he asked Sonia.
“No, Sit wherever you want!” She smiled In response.
Ibuki pulled out a chair for Sayaka, who giggled and did a curtsy as she sat down. Ibuki claimed the seat next to her. Kyoko and Makoto sat next to each other, Taka sat down next to Mondo, Leon sat between Hiro and Makoto.
For some reason, Mondo rose up out of his seat. The reason became apparent to Taka and Hiro when he locked eyes with Sakura.
“Good morning Mondo…” She said carefully, Her fight or flight instincts on standby.
“Sakura… How are ya?” His fight or flight instincts were also on standby.
“Uh, Are you two okay?” Nekomaru asked curiously.
“Yeah, we’re okay… Right Sakura?”
“As long as you don’t repeat your actions from yesterday.” Sakura responded, They stared each other down for a moment in silence.
“Ooooh! It's like a texas standoff!” Ibuki grinned.
Nekomaru pulled out two chairs across from Mondo. “Here, You and Hina can sit here, I’ll sit on this side in case he tries anything.”
Sakura smiled at Nekomaru, glancing back at Mondo, who was sporting a disappointed expression. Evidently he was going to try something, but since Neko was there to stop him he had no choice but to back off for now.
“Thank you, Nekomaru.” she bowed her head as they sat down.
“Mornin’ everyone!” Akane greeted as she walked Into the room, claiming the seat on the other side of Nekomaru.
“You’re In an awfully good mood… What did you do?” Nekomaru asked, narrowing his eyes suspiciously at Akane.
“What? I didn’t do nothin’ Coach Nekomaru.” Akane smiled.
“Mm… I’m not sure I believe you.” He mumbled, but dropped the subject.
“So what do you guys do for fun around here?” Sayaka asked as they waited for the rest of the students to show up.
“Ooh! We have loads of things to do!” Ibuki replied, practically bouncing in her seat. “There’s a Music venue on the third island!”
“A music venue?? Ibuki, Do you feel like showing It to me after breakfast?” Sayaka asked excitedly.
“Would she?! Ibuki would show you now If Teruteru wouldn’t get mad at us for bailing on breakfast!” She grinned.
“What else do you guys do?” Leon asked curiously.
Kazuichi hummed thoughtfully. “Well, There’s Water Balloon wars, Water gun fights, Swimming--”
Hina perked up. “Swimming? Is the water as safe as It looks??”
Sonia nodded with a smile. “Yes, It’s not dangerous In the slightest If you know how to swim.
“YES! we HAVE to go swimming later!” She squealed happily.
Sakura chuckled at her eagerness. “Alright.”
“Does anyone wanna join us??” Hina asked.
“Hell yeah!” Akane grinned.
“Why don’t we take It step further?” Chiaki asked. “Let’s throw a beach party today as a welcome party of sorts.”
Sonia gasped, her eyes lighting up. “That Is an excellent idea, Chiaki!”
Mahiru smiled, she seemed to be resting a bit easier around the students today. “I think that sounds like fun.” she agreed.
Ibuki whipped around to look at Sayaka. “We could have a beach concert at night!”
“Yes! Let’s do It!” Sayaka beamed back.
Mahiru smiled in exasperation, she knew Ibuki’s music style was very… different. So she was curious to see how they’d pull off the clashing music styles.
The red head paused her thoughts after looking around. “Hey… Where’s Toko and Byakuya?”
“Oh, Ibuki tried to get them out of their rooms, but they refused to join us.” Ibuki explained.
“That’s normal for them.” Makoto explained. “Toko doesn’t like to eat in front of others, and Byakuya Is… well… Byakuya.”
Imposter flinched, how could he have gotten Byakuya’s identity so wrong?
He had long since told the class his identity (or lack thereof) and In turn they helped him figure out who he was, He was now his own person. He struggled some days to avoid impersonating someone else, But the class was so supportive and kind to him that he was able to resist.
“I see, I guess It can’t be helped.” Mahiru sighed softly.
“Has anyone seen Hajime or Young Master?” Peko asked curiously.
“No, I didn’t even notice they were missing…” Chiaki responded, looking around the table.
“I’m sure they’re fine! They’re Ultimates after all.” Nagito reassured cheerily.
“Annnd he’s off.” Kazuichi sighed.
“Mornin’ Gundham.” Nekomaru greeted the dark student. “Did you see Hinata or Kuzuryu when you were coming in?”
Gundham paused, trying to recall if he had or not. “No, I do not believe so. I passed by the small darkling but neither Hajime or Fuyuhiko.” He replied.
“Small darkling?” Makoto parroted.
“He means Hiyoko.” Mahiru answered. “You get used to his dialect the more you hang around him.”
“Speak for yourself.” Kazuichi retorted sarcastically, receiving an elbow to the ribs by Sonia in response. He whined and rubbed his ribs. “Uh, Should we go check on them?”
“I’m sure they’re fine, but just in case I’ll go check on them!” Nagito volunteered, standing up.
He’s probably going to regret this but…
Makoto stood up too. “I’ll go with you!” He chirped, The taller student turned to him in surprise. “I-If you’ll let me.”
“Really?? An Ultimate wants to accompany me?? I’d be honored!” Nagito smiled, Makoto couldn’t tell if he was super sarcastic or just strange… He was leaning towards just strange.
Chiaki reached up, tweaking his side. “Don’t act weird and scare him.
Nagito flinched away, giggling lightly. “We should go. Let’s check Hajime’s cottage first.” He said as the two lucky students walked out.
“Should I have gone with them?” Mahiru asked.
“Probably. But Nagito should be on his best behavior.” Chiaki replied nonchalantly. “He remembers what happened the last time he misbehaved.”
-
Inside Fuyuhiko’s cottage the two were greeted by the annoying as usual morning announcement, pulling them out of their sleeping states.
Hajime stretched and went to sit up but Hiko snuggled further into his side, squashing any chance at getting up anytime soon.
Hajime smiled as he laid back down, his arm still looped around the blond’s shoulders holding him close. “Good morning, Fuyu.” He murmured.
Fuyu mumbled incoherently in response.
“Yo, Baby Gangster.” The brunette tried, shaking him.
“Fuck off…” Fuyuhiko slurred, his words thick with sleep.
“We have to get up, Fuyuhi--EEK!” Hajime squeaked in surprise as the Yakuza sighed quietly and began scribbling his fingers all over Hajime’s sides. “NOHOHOHO! FUYU!”
“Lemme sleep…” He mumbled.
Hajime laughed, trying to get away from the snuggly tickly Yakuza he called a boyfriend. “STAHAHAHAHAP TICKLING MEHEHE!”
“If you’re not gonna let me sleep… I’m going to need to hear your laugh.” He murmured, his eyes still closed. Though he sported a small smirk.
Unfortunately for Hajime, his squirming led him to fall off of the bed with a small yelp of surprise. Fuyuhiko finally opened his eyes, blinking away the sleep as he stared down at his tall boyfriend on the floor.
“Why the fuck are you on the floor?” Fuyu asked quietly. “I’m up here. Come cuddle me you jackass.”
Hajime narrowed his eyes. “Oh ha ha. You’re hilarious.” He stood up and got back In bed, scooping the small blond up into his lap. “Fine, You want my attention so bad? I’ll give you attention.”
Fuyuhiko squealed as he felt Hajime’s fingers descend on his belly, poking and wiggling in the tender flesh. “AHAHAHAHAHA! FAHAHAHACK!” He swore, squirming around helplessly.
“Not so relaxing and fun is it?” Hajime smirked, tickling his boyfriends cute tummy without mercy. “Although, I can see how you would think doing the tickling is, I feel pretty amused and relaxed right now.”
Oh, Hajime was so gonna go down for this. “FAHAHAHACK OFF!” He cackled, shoving at his hands to no avail.
Hajime leaned down, planting soft ticklish kisses against his neck. “That’s not very nice.” He hummed against his skin. This coupled with the tickling to his belly reduced him to a blushing snorting mess.
“NAHAHAHA! DOHOHOHOHON’T! *snort* IHIHIHIT TIHIHIHICKLES!” He whined, trying to bring his shoulders up.
“I bet It does~ Your neck Is really sensitive.” He murmured, continuing to plant tickly kisses against his tender neck. “You know… I still haven’t found your worst spot… maybe I should look for it.”
“NONONONO! *snort* DOHOHOHOHON’T KYAHAHAHAHAHAHA! *snort*”
“Oh Fuyu, There’s only one place I haven’t tried~” He sang teasingly. “Are your feetsies ticklish?” He cooed, making the smaller boy blush brighter.
“DOHOHON’T FAHAHACKING *snort* BABY TAHAHAHALK MEHE *snort* YOU BAHAHAHASTARD!”
Hajime chuckled, reaching over and grabbing one of the kicking appendages. “Someone’s cranky today, Did the sweet baby not get enough sleep?” He cooed.
Fuyu narrowed his eyes at Hajime as he gasped for air, thankful for the small reprieve. “Listen here… you little shit…”
“What am I listening for? Is the big scary Yakuza gonna threaten me? I think we both know you won’t follow through with whatever bodily harm you threaten to cause me.” He smirked smugly.
Fuyuhiko squirmed and wiggled until he freed his arms and he began digging into Hajime’s sides relentlessly. “No, the big scary Yakuza Is going to wreck you!” He shot back.
Hajime yelped and dissolved into loud laughter, he squirmed around until he was closer to Fuyu’s trapped foot and he began tickling it, making the blond shriek and throw his head back in a loud fit of laughter. “TWOHOHOHOHO CAN PLAHAHAHAY AT THAHAHAT GAHAHAHAME!”
“HAHAHAHAJIIIII!” Hiko whined, trying to free his foot. He moved his hands up to tickle under his arms, making the brunette choke on his laughter.
“SHIHIHIHT! HIHIHIHIHIKO! DOHOHOHOHN’T!” He cackled, trying to dislodge the small blond.
“LEHEHEHET GO *snort* OF MYHYHY FOOT!” Hiko ordered, eyes tearing up from laughing so hard.
“THEHEHEHEHEN STAHAHAHAHAP TICKLING MEHEHEHE!” Hajime shot back, his nails gliding under his wiggly toes, drawing some adorable squeals from the Future head of the Kuzuryu clan.
“NAHAHAHAHAA! *snort* FIHIHIHIHINE I’LL STAHAHAP *squeal* IHIHIHIF YOU *snort* STAHAHAP!” He offered, his fingers not tickling as harshly as previous.
“Okahahahay! Truhuhuce?” Hajime lessened his tickling too.
“Truhuhuhuce…” Fuyuhiko pulled his hands back, and Hajime did the same, both of them falling back against the bed panting.
“Hehehe… Damn… I’m so going to remember how ticklish your feet are for later…” He grinned tiredly at the flushed boy next to him.
Hiko narrowed his eyes at the taller boy. “I wouldn’t... Don’t forget… I know your worst spots and how to exploit them…”
Hajime smirked, recalling that time at the beach house when he tickled the Yakuza for the first time. “Is that supposed to deter me?” He quoted him.
“Hey!” Fuyu laughed as he gently pushed his boyfriend.
Hajime laughed too, pulling the blond back into his arms. “That day was so fun… Even after you blasted me with the entire water supply In that bazooka.”
Hiko giggled adorably, snuggling into his chest. “You shouldn’t have pulled me away, I was going to empty it on Hiyoko instead.”
Hajime snorted in amusement. “At least you haven’t made any comments about how you look since then.”
“It’s not because I’m scared of you or anything. Don’t fucking flatter yourself.” Fuyuhiko rolled his eyes. “It’s just that… being around you makes me feel better about myself.”
The brunette smiled and closed his eyes, but after a few moments of thinking over what he just said he opened them again. “Wait, What’s that supposed to mean? Did you just call me ugly?”
“No! You are not ugly in the slightest.” Fuyuhiko frowned as he quickly sat up. “I just mean that… I don’t think about how my body looks when I’m around you… because those thoughts are silenced by…” He blushed bright red, looking away. “B-By how much I… adore you…” He struggled to admit.
Hajime felt his heart melt at the confession, he grabbed onto the smaller student and gently pulled him back down into his cuddly hold. “You’re too cute.”
“Sh-Shut up!” He blushed even brighter.
-
“So, Nagito…” Makoto struggled to make conversation as they descended down the stairs. “What do you like to do in your free time?”
Nagito hummed thoughtfully, pausing as he turned to the short student. “Well, I guess I usually just hang around my friends. My favorite pastime Is watching Chiaki play video games, Or having Water fights with Hajime and the others.” He answered as they continued walking. “I don’t really have any hobbies or anything. What about you?”
Now that he mentions it… What does Makoto do In his free time? Normally he just hangs around his friends as well… not that there’s much else to do In the school. “Ah, I guess about the same.” He replied shyly. “I normally just hang around Kyoko or Hang out In the rec room with the group. There’s not really much to do In the school.”
“That’s just like you Ultimates, You make the most out of anything and find ways to stay positive even In the most hopeless situations!” Nagito praised, though Makoto still wasn’t sure If he was being serious or sarcastic yet.
They arrived at Hajime’s cottage and Nagito rang the doorbell. After a few attempts without any response, Nagito spoke. “I wonder If Hajime Is even home right now…” He thought aloud.
“Where else would he be?” Makoto asked curiously as the taller student turned to him.
“I think I might have an idea… Follow me.” He instructed, walking off towards another cottage with the small student closely in tow.
“Uh, Nagito? This Is…” Makoto trailed off as they stood In front of a door.
“Fuyuhiko’s cottage. I know.” He smiled reassuringly, ringing the doorbell and then opening the door after a moment. “Good morning!” He greeted as he walked In the doorway.
Makoto hesitantly followed.
Imagine his surprise to find Fuyuhiko wrapped up In Hajime’s arms, the two had jolted up in surprise at the sound of the doorbell but remained entangled. “U-Uh… Hi.” Makoto meekly spoke.
Both of their faces flushed as they pulled away from each other. “J-Jesus Nagito! Why bother ringing the doorbell If you were just gonna fucking walk In?!” Fuyuhiko fumed, obviously embarrassed.
“Hey…” Hajime awkwardly greeted back, clearing his throat. “I thought I locked that…”
“Nope!” Nagito replied with a smile without missing a beat. “You two are late for breakfast, You should get ready and come join us!”
Without waiting for a response he turned around and began making his way back towards the hotel.
Makoto lingered for a minute. “S-Sorry! I didn’t realize he was just going to barge In-- I’ll go now.”
“It’s fine. Nagito Is kind of unpredictable…” Hajime chuckled awkwardly.
“You don’t have to act so weird, It’s not like you walked In on anything other than us cuddling.” Fuyuhiko blushed, refusing to look at Makoto.
“R-Right… Uh, See you guys In a few minutes…!” Makoto mustered up a smile and left, closing the door behind him. Nagito had waited for him at the end of the sidewalk leading to the house. “I didn’t know they were dating…” He said quietly as he began walking with Nagito again.
“Mhm. They haven’t been dating very long though, so they get embarrassed when people catch them being flirty. Or cuddling.” He explained as they walked back up the steps.
“Who else Is dating here?” He asked curiously.
“Mm, I’ll tell ya later.” Nagito grinned, patting Makoto’s shoulder as they rejoined the rest of the group.
After a decent amount of time spent resting, Sam had grown stir crazy and found a case not too far from Sioux Falls in a small town called Madison.
Some real estate buff and his family were the next unsuspecting targets of two hungry ghouls, but you and the Winchesters had taken the monsters taken care of before anyone was killed. It was fairly straightforward and simple as far as cases go, aside from one minor slash in your leg. It was late by the time you were finished disposing of the bodies, and you opted for a crappy motel rather than driving back to Bobby’s place. Dean was stitching you up while Sam went to go get food for everyone.
“Do you ever think about getting out of the life?” Dean asked out of the blue. Maybe he was just trying to get your attention off of the needle going in and out of your leg.
“I never used to, but lately it’s been a different story.” You took a sip of Dean’s cheap beer that was sitting next to you and made a disgusted face before putting it back down.
“What changed?” Dean glanced at you quickly, trying to get a read on your emotions, then continued his stitching.
You had a hard time opening up to people, but you wanted to tell Dean how you felt about him. A million thoughts ran through your mind as you debated whether or not to be honest about your feelings. “Well,” you began, “I always thought that hunting was my only option. I was a loner and I figured that if I was going to die, I would die fighting for the good cause or whatever.” You looked down at Dean, so carefully taking care of you. His eyebrows were furrowed as he intently waited for you to continue. You loved how interested he was in everything you said, no matter how silly or mundane. “But then I met this guy who makes me feel like my life is actually one worth living; like maybe the future doesn’t hold darkness and death after all.” Dean tried to hide his smile as he finished up his last few sutures. “I’ve never felt like I was worth much, but he makes me feel like I’m more than just a girl who can throw knives and punches… and I think that I’m falling for him pretty fast.” Dean placed a bandage over your calf and set his needle down. “Maybe you know him? His name is Sam Winchester.” Dean shot you a confused look, making you lose your composure and bite your lip, repressing a cheeky smile. “It’s just too easy to tease you.”
Dean let out a chuckle and stood up, wiping his hands off on a towel. His tongue darted in and out of his lips, leading into a perfect smile as he dove on top of you and crashed his lips onto yours, knocking you backwards on the bed. You slid you hand behind his neck and deepened the kiss.
The door handle began to wiggle, signaling Sam coming back with the food. “That kid has the worst timing. I swear!” Dean grumbled and pushed himself off the bed, marching over to the door and holding it open with an unmistakable annoyance in his eyes as Sam walked in, juggling the food in his arms. Sam, clearly clueless about what he had interrupted, returned Dean’s annoyed gaze.
“What’s your problem?” He shoved a bag of food into Dean’s arms.
Sam had fallen asleep during a re-run of Jeopardy when Dean touched your hand, silently signaling for you to follow him outside to the small balcony. You happily obliged. Once the door was shut, Dean pulled you in close, kissing you with just as much passion as he had before you were interrupted.
“You know what I want?” Dean asked.
“Some nice scotch and an autographed Zeppelin album?”
The lines by his eyes crinkled as he smiled and shook his head. “No, well, yes, but no. I asked you earlier if you ever wanted to get out of hunting.”
You nodded in remembrance.
“I want out, too. I want a boring life, and a farmhouse, with kids and a dog and a fence. The whole thing. I want to have summer barbeques with Sam and his family, and bonfires where we roast s’mores. I want it with you.”
“I’ve never had a s’more.” You admitted, smiling ear to ear at Dean’s confession.
“Me either.” Dean shrugged; his smile just as wide as yours.
That life sounded perfect. “What happened to Dean Winchester the womanizer that everyone warned me about?”
“He’s whipped.” You could see your future in those deep green eyes as he held you close.
“There has to be a porch swing.” You added. “I’ve always wanted a big comfy porch swing.”
“You got it.” Dean slipped his arms around your waist from behind and leaned down to rest his head on top of yours, making the height difference between you two almost comical. Looking out at the night sky, you thought about living a peaceful life in a small town like this one, sitting next to Dean on the front porch in the summer evenings while your kids played in the front yard. These were never things you would have thought of before meeting this man.
“You wanna go make out in your car?” You not so subtly hinted. Before you knew it, Dean was picking you up and throwing you over his shoulder, carrying you back into the room and towards the door. You did your best to mute your giggles and squeals so you wouldn’t wake up Sam.
It had been weeks full of hunting, with the last case being a weird one. You'd found a town that had a working wishing well, powered by a coin that used the power of the goddess Tiamat. There was a life-sized and talking teddy bear, someone won the lottery, a kid had super strength, and the wormy guy had a hot girlfriend. It was pretty far up on the list of odd things you'd encountered.
The post-case morning routine was in full swing with the sunlight streaming through the window, prying your eyes open to face a new day. Dean was lying next to you on his stomach with drool slowly dribbling from the corner of his gaped open mouth. You loved this soft side of the ever-stone-cold hunter. Steam was trickling from under the bathroom door, signaling that Sam was almost done getting ready, so you slid out from under the covers and changed before he reentered the room.
"Morning." Sam greeted, toweling off his wet hair. "You wanna go grab breakfast, or should I?"
"You can go but I'll walk out with you and try to convince the clerk to give us a late checkout. I don't think we're making it out of here on time." You nodded your head towards Dean.
"There's a shocker." Sam grabbed the car keys from Dean's nightstand and put his arm around your shoulders, leading you out the door.
Sam took off and you managed to flirt your way into two extra hours before checkout. You exited the lobby and made your way to the outdoor staircase that led to your room. You lifted your foot to take the first step, then everything went black.
Dean’s POV
I spit out the toothpaste from my mouth when Sam came back in the room with a bag of crappy fast-food breakfast. My favorite.
"Where's Y/N?" I asked as I rifled through the brown bag, pulling out a hash brown. Sam shot me a confused look.
"She's not here?" I shook my head; a pit of concern began to grow in my stomach. "She walked out with me to ask for a late checkout. She was in the lobby when I left."
"I'll go check there. You look around for her."
"Dean, I'm sure she's fine. Maybe she's just stretching her legs." Sam tried his best to relieve my obvious state of stress.
"The clerk was useless. All he said was that she was in there for two seconds and then left." I looked to Sam, hoping he had found a sign of her.
"I got nothing." Sam held his hands up. "Did you call her?"
I pulled out my phone, dialing her number from memory then hitting the call button. Sam sharply turned his head towards the stairs and took off in a jog. He leaned over to look underneath the steps and pulled out Y/N's ringing phone. We exchanged knowing looks and I began to feel queasy.
I slammed the door to our room and began to shove my things into a duffel bag. "Someone took her." The nausea I was feeling was not-so-slowly turning to rage.
"We don't know that. Don't freak out just yet."
Like clockwork, my phone went off signaling an incoming text. "It's a link from an unknown number." Sam frowned and I quickly clicked on it. A web page opened up with a live video feed showing Y/N, unconscious and tied to a chair with dried blood painted down her face from her hairline.
"Son of a bitch!” I grabbed the lamp from the nightstand next to me and threw it across the room. "Someone’s gonna die!”
Your POV
You were sure you’d been hit by a train. Your head was pounding, and it hurt to even open your eyes. As your vision unblurred, you became more aware of your situation. First, you saw your feet tied to the legs of a wooden chair, then realized that your arms were bound behind the back of it. You heard arguing voices in the background and did your best to act like you were still unconscious as you assessed your surroundings and the sticky situation you had found yourself in. You were in a damp abandoned warehouse with old pallets stacked in high piles around you and a webcam sitting in the distance pointed in your direction. Your pocketknife had been taken from you and was sitting on a table across the room next to the two arguing captors. You didn’t recognize the two large men who had abducted you, but it was easy to make enemies in your line of work. There was almost a constant target on your back. Keeping your eyes closed and head hung low, you quickly thought about how you would get yourself out of this mess.
You began to stir, letting your kidnappers know you were awake. They finished their conversation when they heard you.
“Well, well, well. Look who decided to join the party.” The bigger one greeted you.
“I’ve never been much of a party animal. Why don’t you just let me go and find someone more fun?” You snarked.
“Oh, we’re going to have plenty of fun. Don’t you worry.” As he turned his back to you, he pulled a gun from its holster on his belt and waved it in the air as he spoke, clearly trying to scare you. “See, I’ve had eyes on Dean Winchester for years. Just waiting for him to find a pretty little girlfriend to settle down with.”
You glared at him, remaining silent. You could feel the rope that was tied around your hands loosen as you discreetly wiggled your hands around. Lucky for you, your thumbs were double jointed enough that you could pop them in out of place. It hurt like hell but proved convenient when you found yourself being held hostage, which was far more than the average person ever should be. You continued listening to the monologue as you worked your hands free. You had no idea what you’d do next, but you’d figure it out. Right?
“Years ago, he took something from me – my wife. And now, I’m going to make him feel that same pain. Smile at the camera!” He pointed to the webcam sitting a few feet in front of you as he walked over and spoke into it. “Hope you’re watching, Deano! She’s gonna die a bloody, slow death.”
Sam and Dean's POV
The boys were in the car, speeding around town, desperately searching for where you were being held. Sam was looking up old buildings and giving Dean directions as he pushed the Impala to its limits. Dean’s phone was propped up on the dashboard with the live feed still streaming.
“Hope you’re watching, Deano! She’s gonna die a bloody, slow death.”
“Son of a bitch! I swear if you hurt her!” Dean screamed at the screen.
“Who even is that Dean?” Sam asked, looking for any kind of clues that would give away a location.
“I don’t know! I don’t recognize him at all but apparently I made quite the impression on him!”
Your POV
The big guy finished his address to Dean and turned to face you, with teeth and claws bared. Okay, well at least you knew he was a werewolf. Only problem was you didn’t have any silver bullets. You freed your hands completely but held them behind your back as you looked around, planning your next step and replaying it in your head a few times to go over the possible outcomes. You had to move fast because the wolf was walking straight for you.
Oh well, here goes nothing.
Keeping the rope your hands were bound with looped into the back of your belt, you tucked your head in and somersaulted forward, whipping your legs up and over your head hard to smash the wooden chair against the ground, freeing your feet from their binds. One of the broken chair legs had come to a sharp point and you immediately threw it at the onrushing werewolf, hitting him in the thigh. It slowed him down enough that you could duck behind one of the large pallets, narrowly avoiding a bullet being shot at you from the second, smaller wolf. The breaker panel was close by and you ran to it, pulling the main power lever down which turned off all the lights except a dim red emergency light. Game on.
There was an upper level which was essentially a deck around the walls of the square building. You snuck your way to the edge of the room, climbed on a pile of crates, then jumped up and grabbed the railing, pulling yourself to the upper level to get a better idea of the layout of the room below. You stumbled across a pile of rebar, taking the sharpest one to use as protection.
“What are you going to do? Call your boyfriend? Come out and play!” One of the men shouted. “I’m not scared of Dean Winchester or his gumpy brother!”
“Oh, you should be! But lucky for you, they’re not here right now.” You laughed. “See, this isn’t my first rodeo,” you began as you stalked the two wolves from up above, “I’ve been held hostage more times than I can count, and you all make the same stupid mistake. You assume that I’m just some damsel in distress, waiting for a big hero to come save me. But I got news for you, buddy. I’m the one you should be scared of.” You trailed the smaller of the two and made your move as he crouched down behind a large crate. Lowering yourself down from the upper deck, you set the rebar down and silently pulled the rope from the back of your belt, wrapping it around his neck and pulling so hard that he couldn’t make a sound. You released him once you were sure he was passed out, then hog tied him and left him for later, moving onto your next target.
“Then stop hiding and let’s do this!” The anger in your next victim’s voice was intertwined with fear. You had him just where you wanted him, physically and mentally, and took your post where you had a perfect visual of the room.
“See your hand shaking?” You yelled and he glanced down at the trembling gun in his hands. “Cortisol. It floods the body when you’re stressed. Makes your muscles tighter, reactions quicker. But put those two things together, and it makes you sloppy. Unless you learn to love it. Then it becomes a drug that you thrive on. That’s when you become deadly.” As unhealthy as it was, you soaked up the feeling of being the apex predator. You simultaneously hated and loved this side of yourself.
You’d spent years doing combat in the dark, learning to use every sense to take in your surroundings and focus on your target, making you the ultimate threat. You threw a bag full of old newspapers across the room, and he fired a desperate shot at the clatter, moving slowly towards the commotion. Following close, but soundlessly behind him, you held your weapon at the ready. He slowed to look around the corner, only to find the newspapers you had thrown strewn across the floor.
“Boo.” Your voice was eerily calm. He whipped around and you timed your swing perfectly and rammed the sharp rebar through his throat. He fell to his knees, gasping for air and you took the gun from his hand, firing a quick shot between his eyes. The shocked look was still plastered on his face as he fell to the ground, and you let out a huff of relief before moving back to the first wolf you had tied up, making sure he met the same fate as his friend. You didn’t have silver bullets, but this worked out okay.
You tucked the gun into your pants as you walked over to the webcam. “Hey Sam and Dean, I really hope you’re watching this. I’m at some old abandoned supply warehouse. I can hear a train in the background if that helps you find me at all.”
Sam and Dean's POV
“Holy crap, Dean, she broke free.” Sam leaned in and intently watched as you expertly broke the chair and turned off the lights. Dean did his best to watch as he drove.
“What’s happening?!” Dean demanded an update.
Sam shook his head. “I can’t see super well, the lights got turned off.” Sam pulled the screen closer to his face and squinted. “She’s got a piece of rebar I think…”
Dean nodded in approval of your choice of weapon. Sam gave the occasional update when he could make out what was happening.
“She strangled one of them and hog tied him.” Sam raised his eyebrows.
Both boys listened intently as you spoke with clarity, messing with the last wolf’s head as you stalked behind him then stabbed him in the throat.
“Hey Sam and Dean, I really hope you’re watching this. I’m at some old abandoned supply warehouse. I can hear a train in the background if that helps you find me at all.” The brothers heard your message and Sam quickly found your location. Dean turned the car around and sped off towards you.
The boys sat in silence, trying to process what just happened. Dean’s jaw had been clenched since the moment he realized you had been taken and wouldn’t relax until he was holding you safe in his arms. He felt guilty that you had been taken because of him, but at the same time, he felt so proud that you had taken control of the situation with such ease that it was almost scary. No, it was definitely scary. This wasn’t a side of you that he had seen before. He knew he should be concerned, but he loved it.
Sam spoke first. “So… Y/N is terrifying.”
Dean scoffed in agreement. “That’s an understatement.”
Your POV
You had dragged the bodies of the two wolves behind the warehouse where a construction site was filling in a large hole with concrete. You tossed them in, turned on the mixer, and covered them up enough that they would never be found. It wasn’t too long after you’d made your way back to the front of the warehouse that the familiar sound of the Impala speeding closer rang in your ears. Dean drifted around the corner and drove straight to you. He was out of the car before it could even roll to a stop, and you met him halfway as he pulled you into a massive hug.
“Y/N, I’m…” Dean began before you could cut him off.
“Stop. If the next words out of your mouth are anything to do with apologizing or blaming yourself then I don’t want to hear them.” You knew exactly what he was thinking.
“This was my fault.”
“Dean, this is not the first time I’ve been kidnapped by a monster out for revenge, and it won’t be the last. You didn’t send that wolf after me so absolutely none of the blame is on you. Not to mention, I’m a damn good hunter and I know how to take care of myself. Aside from this,” you touched your fingers to the wound on your head where you had been knocked out this morning, “I don’t even have a scratch on me.”
Dean sighed and squeezed you tighter. You’d never had someone there to comfort you after being kidnapped and it felt nice to know that you’d be missed if something happened to you.
“Y/N I’m in love with you.” Dean’s words took you by surprise. “Have been since the day that we met, and I should have told you before now.” You began to respond, but he held up his hand, stopping you. “I gotta say this.” He took a deep breath and continued. “I love that you are so kind and genuine with every person you meet, even if it’s some stranger on the street. I love that you can eat enough chocolate to kill a horse, and I love that aren’t ashamed of that. I love your taste in music. I love that you are the most badass person I’ve ever met. I’m pretty sure you’re some kind of international hitman or something after what I saw today. But more than anything, I love that you make my life one worth living.”
“Are you just saying all this because you’re scared of me now?” You joked. Dean smiled softly as he shook his head. “I love you too, Dean Winchester. I have from the start.”
“Let’s get you back to the motel and make sure you’re okay.” Dean examined the gash just above your hairline where you’d been struck with a tire-iron this morning. “I’m glad you’re safe. I don’t know what I’d do if I lost you.” He kissed you hard, not caring that you were covered in blood splatter.
Sam gently slapped you on the back, clearly proud of you. “Y/N, that was freakin’ amazing. I felt like I was watching an action movie or something. That whole spiel about cortisol was so kick ass!” Sam and Dean both put their arms protectively around your shoulders and led you back to the car. “I’ve never seen anyone take control like that. They were terrified of you. I was terrified of you!” Sam continued to rave as you and Dean exchanged grateful smiles that the three of you had a happy reunion.
Natasha's grip on me was firm and her gaze on the back of my head was unwavering. My feet moved before me, heading towards whatever direction she shoved me to. She put me in handcuffs the moment she laid her hands on me, but frankly, I don't blame her.
"You punch a bag full of iron everyday or something?" I quipped, taking yet another turn with her less than gentle push.
"What?"
"Your grip. It's not exactly a wonderful experience."
"Huh." I could basically hear the eye-roll in her voice, "No, just a bag of linoleum. It's lighter."
Thrown aback by her quick retort, I snickered delightfully. Who knew Natasha Romanoff could make me laugh a little?
"Well, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger."
"Look at you, quoting Nietzsche." Her grip on me grew tighter. "Then maybe you won't mind if I do this, right? Doubt it'll kill you."
I winced, barely, but it was there and I had a feeling she noticed it. "I wish it would."
We stopped before a dark blue door, and she punched in a code at the keypad attached to the wall beside it before pressing a big red button. I heard a click sound and Natasha pushed the door ajar.
I stared at the room before me. It looked like...well, a room.
"What? No cell for me?"
She raised an eyebrow interrogatively and sighed, "Your cell is unfortunately under repair. Sorry, but you'll have to make yourself at home here now, Your Majesty."
I smirked, "Eh, I guess I'll make do. It's not too shabby."
She led me inside and locked the door behind us. I looked around almost automatically, scanning the area. The room was a little small, but it wasn't claustrophobic. There was a single bed attached to the floor by the corner with white sheets and a white pillow over it, a chair also attached to the floor and another door that left me no clue of what it would open to...a closet maybe?
No windows. No vents.
"You're not going to find it." Natasha's voice cut through the silence, slicing through it heavily like a blunt knife. "Your escape."
I looked over my shoulder to see her standing with her arms crossed, "I wasn't looking for an escape."
"Thought you were done with lying?" I sensed the beguilement in her tone.
I shook my head slightly, "I was just wondering why you brought me to this...room."
"This isn't a room. It's a cell."
A cell? This comfortable? "Ha-ha. You're hilarious."
"Yeah, I am. But I wasn't making a joke, this is a cell."
Holy shit, S.H.I.E.L.D must be flowing with money and extreme stupidity for them to keep their prisoners this comfortable. "Where I come from, we don't give the bad guys cells that look like these."
I saw her shrug out of the corner of my eye. "It depends on who's the bad guy we're talking about. Plus, we rarely have to put anyone in these cells." She didn't have to say it for me to know what she meant. They don't bring back prisoners.
"Well, yippee, it's my lucky day." I deadpanned.
Natasha had been staring at me the whole time. I turned to face her fully, daring her to make eye-contact. But the redhead continued to stare, unaffected.
"Hydra left quite the dent. Turned half of this building inside out."
"Sounds like em'."
"Your cell took a big hit. They blew a hole right through it, through the walls."
I froze. Did they know I was supposed to be there? Did he...come here to kill me?
On sight?
"They were looking for you, I assume."
My gaze dropped from her eyes to the floor, staring at my blood-covered shoes. Why is it that every time I think about him I cower in fear like a fool? I'm far from a coward. I hate the fact that even just the thought of that...monster, puts me in distress. I feel like a child again, and not the woman I am now.
Natasha was observing me, prompting me to answer with the intensity of her gaze. But I didn't have any answers to give.
"Sit down."
I looked up at her, only to find her pointing at the metal chair in the corner.
"Sit." She repeated, and I followed without question. I had no upper-hand here, and I didn't really want to have it. As soon as I landed my ass on the chair, she gripped my shoulders and looked me straight in the eye. What is it with this woman and eye-contact?
"If you try anything at all, I won't hesitate to kill you. You know that." She emphasised the last part. "You said you wanna stay alive? Then don't do anything stupid."
I nodded once, lips pursed. She proceeded to walk behind me to free me from my handcuffs.
Time seemed to slow down as I thought of a hundred different ways to knock her out right now. Maybe it wouldn't be easy, but it wasn't impossible. I could jump up and kick her in the face, or maybe toss myself backwards and grab her gun from her holster, shoot her from behind. I could kick her legs from below her and smother her with the pillow, or use my handcuffs to choke her to death. Or I could just throw a really, really good punch.
But she was right. I wanted to stay alive.
So, I sat still.
She uncuffed me and as soon as she did, she grabbed me by the elbow and ushered me to the mysterious door. She entered in a code at a keypad beside it, much like before, and pushed the door open to reveal a small bathroom.
"Go. Take a shower. There's a change of clothes ready for you on the counter."
I stared, dumbfounded. "I've only just agreed to work with you guys just a few minutes ago and you're already trusting me to take a shower without trying anything?"
She shrugged, "There's nothing useful in there. No sharp objects, no vents large enough anyone to fit through and the mirror isn't breakable glass. You try to escape, alarms will blare out and the oxygen in there will be cut-off immediately. So, either you die in there by suffocating, or you die when I come in and shoot you in the head. I don't trust you, but I do trust our system."
Figures. Stark Tech.
"FRIDAY's monitoring you too, thermal sensors. Now, go. Before I make you."
She didn't have to tell me a third time.
As expected, she locked the door behind me as soon as I went in. I stepped out of my bloody shoes and I stripped down my bloody clothes. It's funny how spent my whole life on this job, surrounded with nothing but murder and gore and yet I still get tired of seeing blood on myself every time. As if I could avoid it.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror–true to Natasha's word, it was far from fragile–and I ran my fingers across my face and through my hair. I had blood, bruises and dust all over me, like I've always had all my life. But I didn't recognise the woman in the mirror. She wasn't me.
But who was I really?
I've kept on this appearance for too long. It was a disguise that was growing old. It felt like a mask that was slowly melting onto my face, and it was asphyxiating me, burning the skin underneath it.
I've never worn a disguise for this long. This wasn't me. This was Lisa. Or was it Yvonne? Katya, Mila, Eve? I felt an odd sensation taking me under, almost like I was drowning. I felt myself tearing up, but I couldn't feel anything but...panic. Rising in my chest, expanding like a balloon. This was a familiar feeling, a problem I've had for far too long, but I never really knew how to solve it.
And then it all started to sink in, and it was like my body decided to finally register the pain that had built up over the last few days. But my mind wasn't along for the ride. I was hurt all over but mentally, I was numb. Or was it too much for me to handle?
The same question kept burning at the back of my head and it was all I could do not to scream and pull my hair out.
Who am I? Who am I? Who am I?
I wanted to sink to the ground and pull my knees to my chest until my brain stopped screaming at me, but I couldn't afford to have a mental breakdown in a S.H.I.E.L.D bathroom made for prisoners. It wasn't exactly like I had all the time in the world.
I ran the back of my hand over my cheeks, wiping the tears that I hadn't even cared to realise were falling. God, I looked like a helpless, pathetic thing. Felt like one too.
I stepped into the shower, turning the knob to the coldest setting and let it flow over me, desperately hoping it would wash everything including the pain away.
Am I not as strong as I was before? I've gone through so much to keep myself alive and away from them. From him. Had it all been for nothing? I've thrown myself at the hands of a secondary enemy. It was a desperate decision, but a necessary one.
But was it really? Was it worth it?
I shook my head, splashing more cold water to my face. I couldn't lose my mind right now. Not when I've already put my guard down. Why do I feel so helpless? Why do I feel like I'm making the wrong decision? Why do I feel like I'm slowly falling apart, piece-by-piece, and I don't even realise it's happening to me? Why do I feel like...a failure?
Please, God, please...don't let me lose my mind.
———
"Have you lost your mind?"
A click of a gun. The stomping of his boots.
"I was only trying to do what you told me to do."
A pair of furious eyes, always the same blue ones. They're always either angry, stoic or blank.
"You are not supposed to fail. I did not tell you to fail."
The mission wasn't supposed to go the way it did. The plan went askew but I completed the job, I checked off my requirements. What did I do wrong?
"I didn't fail."
He slammed his fist onto the table next to us, growling. I shouldn't have said that.
"You shot one of them in the shoulder. Did you miss your aim, agent?"
Fuck. "No, I did not sir."
"So, you did it on purpose?"
I messed up. I messed up. "I...I was-"
"You were careless." He sneered, eyes boring into me as I quickly averted my gaze to the floor. "You were negligent. You left someone alive."
I didn't dare move a muscle. He turned around, his back facing me.
"The order was 'to leave no trace'. You did exactly the opposite. Hydra does not stand for failure."
"I understand, sir. But please-"
He whipped his head around to stare at me. His movements were always so robotic, just like his voice. It was always unnerving. The look in his eyes sent a chill down my spine, and it took everything in me not to scream and make a dash for the door.
"Why."
I gulped. "Why?"
"Why did you not shoot him in the head?"
I shut my eyes, blinking furiously at the memory. It was a reckless decision, one that was idiotic and inadequate. He begged me for his life. 'Wife and 2 kids' he said. I don't know why I did it. I don't understand why I let myself do it. I acted like a spineless fool.
"He wanted mercy." I whispered, knowing that it was going to cost me.
"Mercy?" He uttered the words like they were foreign, the two syllables coming out of his mouth with complete and utter disgust. "Mer-cy?"
I nodded once. "I understand I made the wrong decision."
He seemed to process it in his head for a while. Then after only a second or two, he straightened his back and broadened his shoulders. There it was again, the robotic movements.
I watched in horror as he turned around and announced to the room, walking away with his boots stomping under him, a noise I've always dreaded ever since I met him.
"It seems you are not fit yet for missions, agent. Take her to her cell. I will report this immediately."
The cell? No, no, no...not the cell. Please. "Sir. I apologise for my misbehaviour, sir. I'll do better on my next mission, just, please don't put me back in my cell."
He didn't turn around. I never expected him to, every time this happened. But my voice had a mind of it's own and it always seemed to escape me. How could I expect for him to show me mercy if he condemned me for it?
I wanted to scream and kick and cry. I didn't want to go back to my cell. I couldn't. I fought against the arms that bound themselves around me, dragging me to hell. "Please! I promise. I won't fail next time. It was a mistake-"
"You should shut up." The agent man-handling me muttered under his breath.
The agent was right. The soldier didn't appreciate begging. I should shut up, but I couldn't stand the thought of being back in there. I let out a guttural scream. "Sir. Sir, please!"
He didn't look back, never did. I watched helplessly as he shut the door behind him. The glint of his metal arm was the last thing that blinded me before the darkness did.
i knew you (Bucky Barnes soulmate AU) -- part three
Okay so...I’m impatient. I know I said tomorrow. But it’s technically tomorrow in like twenty minutes here. Close enough xx.
Also! This part might be a little disappointing/fluffy but I really wanted to speed through this and get to Civil War. Bucky going under the radar for two years is important for the reader as well, so apologies if it feels like I’m just dragging this out! They’ll meet face-to-face again real soon
Tumblr media
The Winter Soldier sits calmly while the technician works on his metal arm. Natasha Romanoff had thrown something at him and caused it to malfunction.
His jaw clenches. Memories flash behind his eyes. Zola. The fall. Steve. Cryofreeze.
Almost on a reflex, the Soldier rips his arm out of the technician’s grip. He slams his metal arm into the man’s chest, sending him flying backwards. In a flash, guns are cocked and aimed for the Soldier’s head, but he doesn’t move.
Chest heaving, he remembers.
Steve.
You.
A deep ache settles in his chest.
Oh, God. It was you.
Alexander Pierce steps in and the guns lower. The Soldier’s eyes stay on the ground, but that isn’t what he sees.
What he sees is you.
Vaguely, he hears Pierce asking for a mission report. But there isn’t one to give. Everyone he was supposed to eliminate got away. And two of those people were...friends.
But you...you were more than that. He doesn’t know how, but he knows.
A harsh slap turns the Soldier’s head to the side. It barely hurts, but it’s enough to get him talking.
Confusion covers him. “That man on the bridge.” A pause. “Who was he?”
Unamused, Pierce replies. “You met him earlier this week on another assignment.”
The Soldier’s eyebrows furrow. “The woman he was holding. She was crying. I knew her.”
Pierce looks around. A silent order. Find out who that was. And get rid of her. He pulls a chair over and sits down, getting eye level with the Soldier.
“Your work has been a gift to mankind. You shaped the century.”
The Soldier focuses. Tries to remember. What he has done. What he is trained to do. But every time, he sees your face. Your tears. Your pain. Why are you in pain?
“And I need you to do it one more time,” Pierce says firmly. “Society’s at a tipping point between order and chaos. And tomorrow morning, we’re gonna give it a push. But if you don’t do your part, I can’t do mine. And HYDRA can’t give the world the freedom it deserves.”
The Soldier tries to understand. But all he can see is you. All he can hear is you, screaming at him, struggling against the man’s grip. You were trying to get to him, and he has no idea why. But he knows that he knew you. He knows that you meant something much more.
“But I knew them,” he says, his face scrunching, his mind fighting against itself.
Pierce remains unamused, standing to his feet. “Prep him.”
The ache grows in the Soldier’s chest, knowing what’s about to happen. He doesn’t want to forget you again.
But he has no choice.
Hands push him back, another feeds him a rubber mouthpiece. Metal locks him into place.
The last thing he thinks of before it begins...is you. He watches your face disappear, but at least, he thinks, at least you aren’t in any pain.
The Soldier’s screams echo in the distance as Alexander Pierce gives orders, steam practically coming out of his ears. “Find out who that woman was and get rid. Of her. We cannot risk this again.”
“Oh thank God.” Your best friend tackles you in a hug the moment you enter the safehouse. It’s in the middle of buttfuck nowhere, but somehow it feels like home when you have your best friend with you.
“I’m okay,” you say first, wrapping your arms around her just as tight. “I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have run off like that.”
“Damn right you shouldn’t have,” she chuckles. “But I forgive you.”
You smile into her shoulder, closing your eyes. But when you do, you see Bucky. No-- you see The Winter Soldier.
Your eyes pop open silently, but the hitch in your breath isn’t missed by your best friend. You’re not scared of The Winter Soldier. You should be. He tried to kill Steve. And Nat. And Sam. And probably did kill others, maybe even innocents.
Yet, as he had a gun raised earlier, you were running right to him. Like you’ve lost your mind.
“Hey, what happened?”
“Long story,” you say, pulling back from the hug. “Did you grab the letter? And the sketches?”
“That’s the first thing I packed.”
You smile sadly, whispering, “Thank you.”
“Yeah,” she murmurs. “Go shower. Try to relax.”
“Try. Right,” you chuckle.
You do end up showering. A hot stream of water on your aching muscles sounded too good to pass up. Whatever that episode of pain was really took a toll on your body, but you remember seizing up, tensing so badly that you couldn’t move. That’s bound to make anyone’s muscles ache.
Thankfully, most of what your best friend packed for you is your comfy clothes. T-shirts, sweatpants, hoodies. A giant hoodie and pair of sweatpants is the best feeling after a long day -- and your day has certainly been long.
Two agents stay inside the house with you at all times, one at the front door and one at the back. The other two circle the perimeter. And you swear you hear a helicopter fly over every few minutes, like it’s keeping watch from above, too. Which wouldn’t surprise you.
“I don’t know whether to feel very important or very imprisoned,” your best friend jokes later when you’re both on the couch.
You scoff, shaking your head. “Probably both.”
Silence hangs around you.
“Did you see him?” She asks quietly.
Slowly, you nod. “Yeah.” Then you shake your head. “But it wasn’t him.”
“What?”
“They did something to him. Brainwashed him, programmed him like a damn--” You stop yourself before you can get too angry. “He looked right at me. And hesitated. Like he recognized me.” You shake your head. “I don’t know, maybe I’m being stupid.”
“You’re not,” she says. “He’s your soulmate, babe.”
“But he didn’t even know me.”
“Babe,” your best friend turns her body to face yours. “This is...a unique situation. I’ll give you that. But just because it’s a little different than from what others have experienced doesn’t mean it’s not real. He recognized you. A little. He wouldn’t have hesitated if he didn’t. Not from what you’re telling me.”
“But he still tried to shoot.”
“Because they did something to his mind, like you said,” she replies, firm but gentle. “It wasn’t him doing that.”
You nod slowly. “It was The Winter Soldier.”
“Huh?”
“That’s what they call him. The Winter Soldier.” You shake your head. “I kept having dreams of him and it was snowing and-- I don’t know why that didn’t click until now.”
“It’s a lot to process,” she shrugs. “I don’t really know how you’re awake right now. I’d be sleeping just to escape it all.”
“That sounds nice,” you admit. “I’d see him again.”
You let a few beats of silence pass before you speak again.
“I can’t stop thinking about...how I just knew it was him. Somehow. I mean, I didn’t know that The Winter Soldier was him, I just knew he was there somewhere.”
“And he was,” she says softly. “I still think you’re crazy as shit for running right into that fight.”
“Me too,” you chuckle. “I’m not afraid of him.”
“Why would you be?” She shrugs. “Your souls have been apart for almost a century. Regardless of what’s happened to him, his soul is still the same.”
“Yeah,” you smile, thinking of the footage in the museum. He looks so much different there with the shorter haircut. But then again, that was seventy years ago. Maybe more.
But his soul is still the same. Deep down, he’s still your Bucky. You just hope he isn’t too far gone to remember that.
Much can happen in twenty-four hours. Much more than you like.
In twenty-four hours time, Steve, Natasha, Sam, Nick, and Maria stopped whatever HYDRA was planning. SHIELD fell and HYDRA fell with it. A team of five agents were gunned down just outside the safe house. You later learned they were sent by SHIELD to kill you, and possibly your best friend had she gotten in the way. Steve was found broken, bloody, and bruised on the riverbank.
And you lost Bucky.
“I don’t know where he went,” Steve says, speaking more than he should with his busted lip. Even in a hospital bed, Steve is still attempting to make things right.
“It doesn’t matter,” you tell him firmly, trying to convince yourself that that’s true. “You did the best you could.”
He cracks a small smile. “That’s not what I was expecting you to say.”
You scoff, rolling your eyes. “Steve, you’re in the hospital right now. You, a super soldier, are in the hospital. Obviously what happened was out of your control.”
He turns his head to look away from you. “He recognized me,” he says slowly. “And he said your name.”
Your eyes fall to your hands. Fidgeting with your fingers, picking at your nails. A nervous habit you should probably break before it starts. “Is that all he said?”
“Yeah,” Steve says softly. “The helicarrier collapsed right after and I went down. But he drug me out of the river.”
“He’s still in there,” you murmur, sure of yourself. “He has to be.”
“He wouldn’t have drug me out if he wasn’t in there somewhere,” Steve agrees, turning his head to look back at you. “We’ll find him.”
You smile sadly. “I know you will.” Exhaling, you add, “I can still feel him. Not as troubled. So he must not be the Soldier anymore.” You pause, the thought almost making you grin. “I might be feeling Bucky for the first time.”
Steve smiles, too. “Then that’s all the hope we need.” His eyes shift over your shoulder and he chuckles. “Those two are cozy.”
You turn to see your best friend and Sam standing a little too close, smiling a little too hard. She laughs and reaches out to touch his arm, and you know she’s done for.
“Looks like you guys are gonna be stuck with the both of us,” you tease. “What’s next, anyway?”
“Well, first off, I wanna get out of this bed.”
“You can’t,” you laugh. “Not right now.”
“I know.” Steve groans. “But I’ve got Natasha pulling some strings for me. I’m gonna find Bucky.”
“Nat, huh?” You ask, teasing. “How long has that been going on?”
“It hasn’t,” Steve replies firmly, which only tells you that it has. “Anyway, I’m gonna find my best friend. And he’s gonna meet his girl.”
You can’t help the butterflies that erupt in your chest. Being Bucky’s girl is the only thing you ever want to be in this life.
“Well, if you need help,” you take a deep breath. “You know where to find me.” You give him a sad smile, standing to your feet. You glance back at your best friend and Sam, and you laugh. “Although, I don’t think it’ll be hard to reach us.”
Steve cranes his neck to see the pair hugging with your best friend’s arms around Sam’s neck. “No, I think we’ll be in touch.”
As the band moved off stage and back to the table where Carrie and Julie were sitting, the adrenaline still coursed through Violet’s body. She felt amazing. That whole performance was electric and the vibe the crowd gave off as she sang to them was something she didn’t know she was craving.
“Violet Sunset?” Julie asked when they reached the table, her eyebrows raised at the lead guitarist who shrugged.
“Sunset Curve was dead and Violet brought us back to life,” he replied and his eyes flicked towards the girl. “It was only right…”
Violet couldn’t suppress the smile on her lips. He was such a kind, considerate person and she hated that she had hurt him. Then again, he had hurt her too. In a different way and technically, it wasn’t even him but still… Seeing his face reminded her of that day.
“You were pretty amazing up there, Vi,” Alex complimented as he sat down next to Carrie.
Reggie scoffed. “Pretty amazing? Dude, she rocked that stage!” The excitement in his voice made Violet smile like an absolute idiot. Reggie was the best moral support himbo she could ever ask for.
“Told you,” Carrie chimed in, smiling proudly. “You’re magic.”
“Yeah,” Luke agreed, capturing Violet’s attention again. He still had that same smile on his face. Tender. Lovesick. “She is magic.”
While Violet and Luke disappeared in each other’s eyes, Carrie, Julie and Alex exchanged knowing glances. Something was happening between those two and everyone could see it. All the sparks and fireworks went off when those two looked at each other. There was no denying it anymore.
Bobby saw it too, but he didn’t like it as much as the others did. That kiss they had shared meant something to him. Apparently, it didn’t mean as much to her. It wasn’t like they had talked about it since it had happened, but still. Bobby liked her. A lot. This was a completely different version of Violet than the one he had known for years. It wasn’t the Violet Luke thought she was. And it bothered Bobby.
It bothered Bobby for the rest of the night. While they chat and drink and watch the other performances and criticize them, Luke and Violet couldn’t stop staring longingly at one another as they made fun of other people. It bothered Bobby that she was having fun with Luke instead of him. Bobby was jealous, and he knew it. Carrie knew it too.
“Can you put that frown upside down and be happy for her?” she muttered towards her brother, making sure no one else could hear. “You know what she’s been through and how hard it’s been to not see Luke as that jerk from her universe, so for once, please, be happy for her.”
Bobby grunted. “Are we just gonna ignore the fact you completely changed since Violet turned up here?” he said in a hushed voice. Carrie was taken aback by his sudden confession. “Since when do you care about other people’s feelings?”
“Since I learned people were allowed to have them,” she retorted, sassily.
Her brother hummed. “And who taught you that?”
Carrie’s eyes darted from the left to the right as she mulled the question over in her head. “She did…”
“Yeah… She’s changing us for the better because we know she’s a different version from the Violet we know. But Luke doesn’t know and he ain’t changing. Don’t you remember what he did to Sophie, freshman year?”
“He’s not gonna do that to Violet,” Carrie objected. “He’s grown since then. You’re just jealous.”
Bobby huffed as he sat back in his chair. “Fine, I’m jealous, don’t listen to me and let her fall into that trap.” Carrie’s eyebrows knitted together in confusion, but she decided not to react to it any further. Instead, she went back to a conversation she was having with Alex and Flynn.
Bobby wasn’t wrong. She had changed. A few months ago, she wouldn’t be caught dead at the same table with Flynn and Julie. But she knew it made Violet feel more at home since she was best friends with them in her universe. All she wanted to do was to make Violet as comfortable as possible until she went back to her own universe. Even if that meant fighting with Dirty Candy. Even if that meant losing that reputation she had built for herself. Even if that meant losing the fame and popularity.
“Can we go for some food?” Flynn whined after the third band that dared to perform after them. None of them were as good as Violet Sunset, but they earned some gold stars for effort.
“Yes, please!” Reggie exclaimed. “I’m starving!”
The whole gang unanimously agreed and got up from their seats at the table. Dodging people left and right, they went upstairs to the actual pizzeria where they claimed a booth in the far back of the restaurant.
“I actually need some air,” Violet announced before she had sat down. “I’m gonna go outside for a moment.”
“Do you want us to go with?” Carrie asked, a flash of concern running through her eyes.
Violet shook her head, “I’ll be fine,” she said and turned around to make a beeline for the door. She pushed through the door but when she thought she’d hear the door fall shut, she didn’t. It took the door a little longer than it should’ve to shut completely.
Turning her head, she found the reason for the door’s late closing. Luke had followed behind her. He smiled as the two came to a halt near Bobby’s car.
“Sorry,” Luke started. “I needed some air too. I hope you don’t mind?”
Violet smiled and shook her head. “I’d like some company, actually.”
Luke’s eyebrows furrowed for a second before his face softened. “Cool,” he said and hopped up on the hood of Bobby’s car, tapping the spot next to him for Violet to sit. She obeyed his order and wrapped her arms around her legs, which she pressed against her chest.
“Thanks for helping me out there on stage. I couldn’t have done that without you,” she muttered nervously.
Biting his bottom lip, Luke watched her every move. The way her lips moved as she spoke, the way her eyes flicked back and forth as she stared ahead of her. She looked gorgeous. She was gorgeous.
“I think you’d do fine on your own. But it would be pretty stupid of me not to rock out on that stage with you. We sounded amazing together.”
Violet allowed a smile to grow on her lips. Her eyes found his and he, too, was smiling from ear to ear. “We did,” Violet agreed, nodding.
For some reason, she felt nervous then. But a good nervous. The fluttery, stomach twirling kind of nervous. Luke did that to her. He made her feel this way. He made her feel like a stupid teenager in love. She was a teenager, she just wasn’t sure about the ‘in love’ part just yet.
“What do you think about our band name, by the way?” he then asked, completely ignoring the fact that he wanted to kiss her then and there.
“I love it,” Violet replied. “Though I didn’t mind Sunset Curve either.”
Luke couldn’t wipe the smile off his face. He was glad Violet didn’t hold a grudge against him for ignoring her for days after she said ‘no’. He had to admit, it was a bit childish but they were good now and that was all that mattered to him.
“So, tell me,” Luke then started, “If Sunset Curve did become the biggest band this earth had ever seen, whose poster would you have on your wall?” He grinned widely whilst pointing at his own face.
Violet let out a laugh. “You’ve gotta be kidding me!”
“Nope, not kidding. I wanna know!” Luke laughed.
“Okay… Uhm… Reggie,” she answered honestly, which earned her an open-mouthed reaction from Luke. “What?! I have a weakness for bassists!” she defended herself between giggles.
“Maybe I should learn to play the bass then,” Luke said nonchalantly.
The giggles died down but the comfortable vibe didn’t fade. “Maybe you should. I could teach you?”
“You play bass?”
“And drums, and guitar, and piano,” Violet summed up like it was nothing at all.
“Ah, you’re a talented one, aren’t you?” Luke leaned back on his hands.
Violet shrugged. “Just very interested in music, is all.”
A silence fell between the two of them, a comfortable one at that. This felt right. This felt familiar. Like home. Even better than that…
It felt like the place she belonged.
Tumblr media
A gentle tap on the window before it opened made Violet snap out of her thoughts. Ever since she had gotten back into her room after her day spent with Luke, she’d been all up in her own head, thinking about what she had done.
She kissed Luke.
She kissed Luke while she had promised Marcus she wanted him, not Luke. It made her realize that she had been lying to herself for the longest time. That kiss wasn’t just to stop Luke from panicking. She had wanted to kiss him for a while now but never got the courage to do so.
“I thought you were gonna let your hair down, Rapunzel,” Marcus spoke as he climbed in through the window with that charming smile plastered on his face. Once inside, he made a beeline towards the bed where Violet was sitting and kissed her lips.
The simple gesture flipped Violet’s stomach upside down. Now she realized she wanted to keep kissing both boys. Both of them. Because Marcus’ lips were so plump and soft, and Luke was… Luke…
“I don’t let my hair down for just anyone,” she responded, flicking her hair over her shoulder sassily before kissing him again. She could feel him smile in the kiss as he pushed her backwards, onto the mattress. Once on her back, Marcus pulled back from the kiss, hovering over her. He let his gaze caress her skin whilst one hand reached up to stroke a strand of hair away from her face.
One corner of his mouth curled upwards. “You are so gorgeous,” he said and dipped down again to meet her lips once more. Violet felt her stomach churn. Marcus was so nice to her and she had only gone ahead and kissed another guy.
“I gotta tell you something,” she told him, her words swallowed by his mouth.
Marcus pulled back once more. “That you spent the day with Rockstar Patterson? I know,” he said and kissed her again.
Violet’s hands pushed at his chest carefully. “You know?”
“Babe, please, it’s all over the internet,” he replied and sat up again, crawling to the head of the bed, leaning against the mountain of pillows. “I don’t care that you spend time with him. I trust that you are just friends and that you like to spend time together.”
If Violet wasn’t being eaten by her own guilt, she’d be so turned on right now by his nonchalance and utter confidence. “We are, and we just went to the studio to record something for Sunset Curve’s new album,” she told him with a small smile, unable to erase the image of being in a recording booth with Luke.
“I’m glad you had fun,” Marcus said and pulled Violet to his chest. “When were you gonna tell me you’re friends with one of the most famous bands in the world?”
Violet let out a chuckle. “I mean, I couldn’t tell you that in the supermarket when we first met, could I?” Marcus laughed at this too, and it was the most beautiful sound she had ever heard coming out of him – aside from the moans he deliciously elicited the other night. “Imagine me telling you in the cheese aisle I was friends with a mediocre band that happens to be well-known.”
“Mediocre?” Marcus exclaimed. “Medi– Vi, did you even hear their songs? They’re banging!”
“The songs or the boys?”
“Both.”
Violet looked up at him with raised eyebrows. “You’re sexy when you’re so open about your love for other men,” she confessed before pressing multiple kisses to his mouth until he properly caught her lips with his, deepening the kiss.
Whatever happened with Luke had been long forgotten. All thanks to Marcus’ lips. And tongue. And other parts of his physique. She was with Marcus and she liked Marcus. A lot. She wasn’t going to ruin that for one kiss she had shared with Luke.
Not even when Luke didn’t talk to her for days. He was avoiding her, she was sure of it. When she called him, he didn’t pick up. When they were all at the club together, Luke left early. When the girls went to the boys’ rehearsal, he either didn’t show up or left the second she walked into the room.
“What’s up with him?” Carrie questioned when the boy left the rehearsal space for the fifth time that week.
Violet groaned as she plopped onto the sofa. “That’s probably on me,” she admitted. “We… kissed… the other day…” she carefully revealed, her eyes flicking from one person to another to see their reaction.
“How am I only finding out about this now?!” Carrie squealed, shooting up on the sofa. “Tell me everything!”
“What about Marcus?” Julie asked instead.
All while Reggie opted for the, “Why is he mad about that?”
“I don’t know – We went to the studio together the other day and recorded a song and stuff and when he dropped me back home, we found out we’d been papped and Luke freaked out about that –”
“Because he promised our manager he wouldn’t be seen with another girl…” Bobby completed her story, either to clarify for the rest or because it dawned on him.
“Yeah – so… I kissed him, because I read somewhere that when someone’s having a panic attack, you need to distract them, so…”
“So you distracted him with your lips,” Flynn continued, wiggling her eyebrows.
Violet hummed and nodded her head. “And now he’s avoiding me.” Once again, Violet groaned and threw her head against the back of the couch. “I’m sorry, guys. I know you need to practice…”
“It’s fine,” Alex shrugged. “Honestly, we’re used to Luke reacting this way when something bad happens.”
Violet’s eyebrows knitted together, her eyes landing on the drummer a few feet away from her. “What do you mean?”
“Luke’s been avoiding his parents for years,” Reggie explained. “He had an altercation with his mom when the band was just on its way to stardom. He ran out on them and never returned.”
“Okay, I’m gonna ignore the fact you just used the word ‘altercation’,” Alex told his friend before turning back to Violet. “But, yeah, he regrets running out on them, but he’s stubborn. You really have to grab him by the arm before he properly faces whatever happened.”
Violet perked up at this. This might be her unfinished business. Not only un-jerk Luke, but bring him back to his parents, make him admit that he regrets running out on them, bring them together again.
“That’s it,” she muttered and, without saying anything else, she left the rehearsal space to go and look for Luke. It took her a while, but eventually found him on the balcony with a cigarette between his fingers. She scoffed and leaned her shoulder against the doorframe while watching him for a moment. “Does that help with the whole brooding thing you got going on?”
Her voice made him jump, his head snapping around to find her standing in the doorway with a smirk on her face. “Doesn’t seem to keep you away,” he muttered and tapped the butt of the cigarette to get rid of the excess before placing it between his lips, inhaling and blowing it out.
“You’re gonna need to try a lot harder to do that,” she told him as she pushed herself off the door to take a seat next to him on the lawn chair. “But it does answer the question if you’re avoiding me or not.”
Luke chuckled and shook his head in disbelief, but didn’t react any further.
“Riddle me this, Lukas,” Violet started and grabbed the cigarette from between Luke’s fingers to take a drag herself. “We went out on a date, I didn’t wanna go out on a second one and started dating someone else, you get jealous, we kiss and then you avoid me. Make me understand this, please…”
Luke let out a laugh. “You’re joking right?” Violet looked him dead in the eye, giving him an answer to that question. “I am insanely in love with you, but you’re with Marcus and I gotta respect that. So, I started avoiding you because I can’t stop thinking about you and whenever I see you, I just wanna kiss you again.”
Violet was taken aback for a moment. She hadn’t expected that answer to come out of his mouth. “You’re in love with me?” she asked, just so she was certain she heard it right. Luke took advantage of her state and stole the cigarette back. “Luke – don’t you remember what you did to me, so many years ago?”
“Yeah, I do. But I didn’t mean to hurt you. And besides, that was years ago. I’d like to think we’ve grown, don’t you?”
“I don’t know, have you grown enough to go back to your parents and make it up to them?” Luke’s head snapped up at this. Now he was taken aback. He hadn’t expected her to bring that up, let alone know about. That was after they stopped talking altogether.
“The boys told me,” she explained. “If you think you’ve grown so much to make me give you another chance, I’d like to think you’ve grown enough to go and apologize to your parents.” Swinging her legs off the chair, she got up, hovering over Luke. “Think about it.”
Without waiting for an answer from him, Violet walked back inside and downstairs where the others resided in the practice room. She had a good feeling about their chat, she just might have gotten through to him. And if Luke and his parents make up, she might just be able to get back to her universe. Back home.
“You okay?” Bobby asked when Violet reentered the rehearsal space.
“Yeah, I’m alright. I had a good chat with him,” she replied with a smile and returned to her spot on the sofa. “I think I might’ve gotten through to him about his parents too.”
“Yes, you did,” Luke’s voice sounded, causing everyone in the room to look up at the boy who had just entered the room. With his hands jammed in the pockets of his jeans, he shrugged. “I – I think you’re right. About my parents. I should go and talk to them, tell them – especially my mom – what I’ve been wanting to tell them all along. I wasn’t fair to them. I was young and dumb and I shouldn’t have walked away. Or I shouldn’t have stayed away, but I was stubborn and instead of telling them, I wrote a song about it…”
Violet’s interest piqued as the boy picked up his acoustic guitar. He tuned it for a few seconds and then started playing. A soft, melancholic melody floated out of the instruments and through the room.
“First things first We start the scene in reverse All of the lines rehearsed Disappeared from my mind When things got loud One of us running out I should've turned around But I had too much pride”
Violet felt a lump in her throat and swallowed it. This was going to be one of those songs she wouldn’t be able to listen to without crying.
“No time for goodbyes Didn't get to apologize Pieces of a clock that lies broken”
The other boys moved to their instruments while Luke walked to where the microphones were still set up from the rehearsal they were supposed to have. His gaze didn’t leave Violet’s, which didn’t make her feel any better.
“If I could take us back, if I could just do that And write in every empty space the words "I love you" in replace Then maybe time would not erase me If you could only know I'd never let you go And the words I most regret are the ones I never meant to leave Unsaid Emily”
The boys joined in on their instruments, giving the song all the more power to completely wreck the girls in the audience during that rehearsal.
“Silent days, mysteries and mistakes Who'd be the first to break? Guess we're alike that way He said, she said Conversations in my head And that's just where they're gonna stay forever”
A single tear rolled off Violet’s cheek when Carrie reached for her hand. Looking up, Violet noticed that she, too, had tears streaming down her face. As did Flynn and Julie. All four girls were going through the motions with this song.
“If I could take us back, if I could just do that And write in every empty space the words "I love you" in replace Then maybe time would not erase me If you could only know I'd never let you go And the words I most regret are the ones I never meant to leave Unsaid Emily”
All four boys hummed a little during the instrumental bit, and even then Violet could feel every emotion Luke was feeling. He was so good at translating what he felt into song and let the audience feel exactly what he was feeling.
The other boys stopped playing for a moment, letting Luke’s acoustic guitar do its job as Luke lapsed into the chorus again. His voice sounded more vulnerable this time, more powerful, and it sent shivers down Violet’s spine.
“If I could take us back, if I could just do that And write in every empty space the words "I love you" in replace Then maybe time would not erase me”
They then joined in again for the last part of the chorus, and as the power of the music grew, so did Luke’s voice. Violet even noticed his eyes glossing over.
“If you could only know I'd never let you go And the words I most regret are the ones I never meant to leave Unsaid Emily”
The last chords were played and the last cymbals hit until the song faded out. A silence fell over the room. Nobody made a sound except for the occasional sniffle from the emotional girls on the sofa.
“I–” Luke broke the silence. “I’ve never had any regrets in life. Not one. Except for running out on my parents, especially my mom. I wish I could tell her how I feel, but I don’t think she’d want anything to do with me anymore.”
Violet wiped her cheeks with the back of her hand before getting up and making a beeline towards Luke. Cupping his face with her hands, she forced him to look her in the eye. “Your mother loves you, Luke. She adores the heck out of you and I’m sure that if you rang her doorbell and told her what you’ve always wanted to tell her, tell her those words you left unsaid, she’d forgive you for running out on you.”
“How are you so sure of that?” Luke asked in a hushed tone, followed by a sniffle as he, too, had started crying.
Violet chuckled, “Just trust me on this, okay?”
Only the girls knew what she meant by this. Luke’s mom must love him in her universe. They had a great bond in her universe, Bobby had told her that. He had told her how amazing they were together and how he wished he had such a relationship with his mother. The Wilsons didn’t even know who their mother was, so Bobby was extra alert when it came to that subject.
“Hey guys!” Marcus’ voice rang through the room, making Violet jerk back from holding Luke’s face. “What’s up?!” he called out as he approached the band and Violet.
The girl wiped her tears and smiled up at the boy that had crashed rehearsal. “Hey babe,” Violet greeted and pecked Marcus’ cheek. “How’d you get in here?”
“Their maid let me in,” he replied excitedly, “They have a maid!”
“Actually, that’s our manager –” Reggie corrected him, but Marcus wasn’t listening.
“You ready to head off?” he asked Violet instead, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.
Violet’s gaze flicked back to Luke and nodded her head. “Yeah. Let’s go,” she sniffled and, as Marcus guided her out of the room, Violet’s eyes found Luke’s again and again. He looked sad, but relieved for some reason.
She was glad Luke had opened up to her. He got really vulnerable with her just then, something Violet hadn’t yet done with him. Or anyone. Hanging out with Carrie, she learned to keep those feelings all bottled up. Keep your head up. Smile. Don’t let anyone see that you’re broken inside.
That vulnerability was hot, and it made Violet think that maybe, just maybe, she would have to return that gesture. As a thank you for opening up to her. To show that she wasn’t afraid to be vulnerable either.
She had to show she wanted to be somebody too.
Hey there anon!
SPN ASK GAME:
27. Make up an episode of spn and give specifics
[You either were galaxy brain for picking this at random or you’ve been reading my tags where I go off on fanfic ideas /spn takes in general / my tags referencing the season 16 fic I’m working on]
Okay so I decided on an episode that would have taken place during the Mark of Cain arc when we had the Cas - Dean - Crowley shenanigans at play. I think I’m gonna place this after Dean gives the first blade to Cas over Crowley. So this is a last hurrah of Crowley being mad at not being Dean’s pick.
This ended up being ridiculously long so....enjoy~
///
It’s day, and the episode opens with Cas leaning against his car. It’s pulled off to the side of an old country road. Eyes narrowing, Cas crosses his arms. “This better be important.”
“Always good to see you too, angel.” It’s Crowley. He comes walking up, hands in his jacket pockets. A devilish smile pulls at his lips. “I wouldn’t have called you out here if it wasn’t of the utmost importance.”
///
Cut to Sam and Dean walking back to the impala. It’s night and they’re both exhausted and nursing bruises. They’re both holding machetes, which they deposit into the trunk.
Sam watches Dean like a hawk. His eyes keep trailing to the mark. “How are you doing?”
“I’m fine, Sammy. A little vampire blood isn’t going to push me over the edge.”
“Okay, fine.”
They drive back to the motel to clean up. Some time has passed. Dean starts pounding on the bathroom door. “I’d like to get dinner this century.”
We move to Dean walking in the parking lot, mumbling his annoyance at Sam for taking so long. Just as he get to the car, he’s jumped by a group of people. Bag over his head, tied up, dragged away. He end up at an abandoned warehouse.
Luckily Sam caught the last bit of that kidnapping and he gets in the car, speeding after them.
They pull the bag off of Dean’s head. The mark is screaming at him. It’s the rest of the nest of vampires. Turns out the nest was bigger than him and Sam thought. Their plan was to divide and conquer making the boys suffer long, agonizing deaths for revenge. They didn’t expect Sam to burst right in. He passes Dean a machete during the fighting.
Still, they’re horribly outnumbered and they’re getting their asses kicked. Dean gets knocked back onto the floor. His machete gets tossed another direction. Sam takes out the last vamp in his reach. Dean is fumbling for a gun or knife, anything he might have on his person. The vampire gets closer, about to lunge. Sam yells. And then the vampire’s severed head hits the floor.
“I don’t know what you boys would do without me.”
Dean blinks and stares up. “Cas?”
Dean gets up and Sam jogs over. They’re both staring oddly at Cas. “What happened to you?”
 “I went shopping.”  Cas shrugged. “What? I’m not allowed to update my wardrobe?”
“No..uh..” Through Dean’s perspective we get a good look at Cas’ new look. He’s wearing a new black suit. Finely tailored. Blue gem encrusted cuff links. Hair trimmed and styled in a purposely messy look. Dean’s eyes close in the tiny hoop earring. “Dude, did you pierce your ear?!”
“What!” Sam steps between them and bobs his head around looking at Cas. “Holy shit.”
“Are we done yet?” Cas rolls his eyes. “I didn’t realize this was going to be such a big deal.”
Sam steps back to stand by Dean.
Dean started stuttering. “No, uh, it’s fine. You look.....uh, you’re looking real good.”
“Smooth,” Sam leans in and teases. Dean shoves him a bit.
Cas takes a step forward towards Dean. “Thanks.” He winks.
Dean gets massively flustered.
///
Cut to Dean, Cas, and Sam at dinner. It’s a sports bar location; busy Friday night crowd. They were lucky to snag a table. The waitress is taking their food and drink orders.
Cas takes one look at the drink menu and tosses it aside. “Just get me what I normally order.” He rubs at his eye.
Sam shot him a weird look.
“What?”
“You don’t normally order anything,” Dean said leaning in close. “You okay? Did some rogue angel scramble your brains while you were gone?”
“Ah, yes. I’m just always as interesting as a wet paper towel I see,” Cas grumbled. “I don’t always order nothing.” He looked at the waitress. “Just get me something sweet. Anything, really.”
She nodded and took off away from the table.
Dean turned to completely to Cas, who was sitting next to him. He studied him. His gut was telling him something had to be off.
Cas meanwhile leaned an elbow on the table, and rested the side of his face in his hand. “What is it?”
“There’s something going on.”
The look in Cas’ eyes brightened. “Oh, you like what you see?”
Dean gets flustered and trips over his tongue again. He turns away when Sam coughs loudly.
///
Cut to Jody’s house. It’s earlier that same day. Claire’s bedroom. She sitting in the middle of her bed with piles of books and papers scattered around her. The lights start flickering. She looks at it sternly and jumps to her feet. The flickering gets worse, and then her expression softens. Then it looks confused. “Cas?”
They have a conversation, but we can only hear Claire’s end of it.
“Slow down, I’m listening. Okay hold on. Let tell Jody so she doesn’t have a stroke.”
Claire finds Jody in the kitchen getting some pans washed. “Hey, I’m gonna need a rain check on dinner.”
“Why?” Jody turns around to see Claire with a duffle bag slung over her shoulder. “Where are you going?”
Before she can answer, the lights start flickering.
“Damn it,” Jody mumbles.
“We gotta go! The king of hell took my dad’s body.”
“What?”
The flickering gets worse and Jody puts a hand on her head like it hurts.
“Back off!” Claire yells up at the ceiling. “It’s hard to think with all your worrying. I get it.”
The flickering stops. Jody looks at Claire like she has three heads. “Wanna explain what’s going on.”
“It’s Castiel.”
“Dean’s guardian angel friend?”
Claire laughed at that.  “Yeah. The lights, that’s him. And he’s pissed.”
“Why is he here?”
“He needs to borrow me to get his...my dad....remember he’s wearing my dad as a vessel? The king of hell blasted him out and took his body.”
Jody crossed her arms. “And where do you come into play here?”
“Angel vessels are specific. He took my dad for a reason. I apparently work as a substitute.”
“So you’re gonna let an angel go joyriding with your body?”
“Yes.”
“While he goes to get his revenge on the king of hell?”
“Yeah.”
Sighing, Jody glares up at the ceiling. “I swear to God you better bring her back safely.”
Claire winced. “He says if anything happens he’ll give you an angel blade to finish him, yourself.” Claire looked up at the ceiling. “You’re insane. Don’t be so dramatic.”
///
Move to Claire outside her car. She goes to get in, but then she stops. “Fine I’ll let you drive.”
That’s when we see the angel glow and burst of light. She let Cas in. The light dims and Claire’s expression and posture changes. Cas gets behind the wheel of the car and floors it.
///
“I’ll go get us another round,” Crowley said getting up. Sliding past Dean, he ran a hand lightly across Dean’s shoulder.
Dean grinned and watched with puppy eyes. Not that he’d admit it, but he was enjoying the view.
“Dude,” Sam leaned in. “Seriously, what’s going on with Cas? Did he snap? Witches?”
Dean shook off the feelings he had moments ago. He leaned back in his chair. “I don’t know. He’s been through a lot lately.”
“Yeah, we all have. I don’t see anyone else changing their whole...persona.”
“Fine. We’ll just have to keep an eye on him.” Dean turns and stares for too long at Crowley talking to the bartender.
Sam sighs.
///
It cuts to the three of them getting back to the bunker. Dean keeps eyeing Crowley, who keeps taking every opportunity to wink or smile when he catches Dean looking. Sam gives up and goes off elsewhere.
Dean trails off to the kitchen and soon enough realizes that Crowley is following him. “Need something?”
Crowley shrugs. “Nope. Just figuring out how I should be spending my time until morning.”
A shiver shot down Dean’s spine. He quickly opened the fridge and guzzled a bottle of water.
“Thirsty?”
Dean held up the bottle. “A bit.”
Crowley leaned back against the counter. He was fiddling with his cufflinks. “Are you sure that’s enough to satisfy you?”
Dean choked on his next sip of water. He started coughing like crazy.
“Dean!” It was Sam’s voice from somewhere down the hall.
“Cas, what is up with you? What are you talking about?” Dean stepped closer, ignoring Sam’s calls.
Crowley took a step forward. “Why don’t you find out?”
“Dean! Where are you!” Sam’s voice got closer. “THAT’S NOT CAS!”
“What.”
The kitchen door slammed shut and Dean flew backwards, back against the fridge.
Crowley laughed. “Oh, that was fun while it lasted. Dean you are way too easy.”
“Who are you?” Dean snarled.
Cas’ blue eyes were obscured with a smoky, demon red. “Miss me, darling?”
“Crowley.”
“Yes,” he gestured down his body with a hand. “Like my new look? I think I’m starting to see the appeal.”
“Get out of him,” Dean lunged forward.
“Oh, are you sure? You seemed quite pleased all night. You can’t tease and not follow through. That’s just rude.”
Dean’s jaw clenched. He didn’t have any weapons besides basic cutlery. He could try an exorcism, but Crowley would shut him up before he could get anywhere.
Crowley laughed again and took a few steps around the kitchen. “It’s such a shame Cassie doesn’t know how to use his assets. He could have had you tied down in bed ages ago.”
And just then the door flew open. Both Dean and Crowley turned to look, but then Crowley was slammed into the floor.”
“Cl-claire?”
Cas turned to look at him. “Hello, Dean.” His eyes glowed a brilliantly, grace fueled blue.
“Cas!”
He nodded and then turned back to Crowley. “You abomination, what did you do to my body?”
Cas kicked him several times, despite that he was damaging his own vessel. He then threw Crowley into the wall and shoved him in hard. The wall was damaged and cracked. Cas groaned internally knowing that Dean was going to make a fuss about it later.
“I gave you a few upgrades.”
“He pierced your ear,” Sam called standing next to Dean now.
“Among other things. How did you get that other tattoo to stick? I couldn’t get the new one to stay.”
Cas slapped him. “Get out of my body.”
“Oh piss off and make me.”
Sam started the exorcism, and Crowley shrugged under Cas’ force.
“Whatever, I had my fun. Tested a theory. See you all soon.” And Crowley swirled out of Cas’ body and left.
Cas laid the body carefully on the floor. He turned to Sam and Dean. “Close your eyes.”
They did, and in a brilliant light Cas left Claire’s body for his own. His vessel was healed of all the injuries he had caused moments ago.
Claire, a bit woozy, stumbled a bit. “Hey guys.” She looked at Cas. “You should have kicked his butt harder.”
He was busy looking down at his new outfit. “Don’t worry, I’m planning on tearing him into tiny strips of flesh.” He looked up. “It was just...a bit awkward while he was in....”
“Yeah, I wouldn’t want to damage you either.”
Cas looked at Dean. “What did he mean about, testing a theory?”
Dean averted his eyes, scratching the back of his neck. “I don’t know.”
“Hey, Claire,” Sam cut in, changing topics. “Does Jody know you’re here?”
“Yeah, I should call her now though.” Claire went to dig for her phone. It wasn’t there. “Must be in the car.”
“I’ll get a room ready for you to stay the night,” Sam said leading her out of the kitchen.
They leave Dean and Cas alone in the kitchen. They sit at the table. Cas scowls, lost in thought.
“Are you okay?”
Cas sighs. He looks at Dean. “Yeah.”
“You sure? How did this even happen?”
“He jumped me with a banishing sigil. I’d never seen it before, but it tore me right out of my vessel. He jumped right in before I could do anything.”
Cas’ frowned. “I feel disgusting. Who knows what else he did.”
Dean got up and stretched. “Come on. I’ll show you where Sam hides the good stuff.”
“Dean, I don’t see how alcohol is going to make me feel better.”
Dean laughed. “No. The good body soaps. So you can scrub until you feel like you again.”
“Oh.” Cas got up and followed Dean out. He looked down at the clothes again. “How stupid did he make me look?”
Dean stopped dead in the hallway. Cas collided into his shoulder.
“He didn’t make you look stupid.” Dean’s eyes trailed over Cas again. The knot in his gut was gone. He looked even better than earlier, because he was Cas. “It’s a nice suit.”
Cas rolled his eyes. “I miss my coat.”
Dean slapped a hand onto Cas’ shoulder. “No matter how you’re dressed, you look nice. You look like you and that’s what matters.”
Cas nodded and followed Dean down the hallway.
More Than Pain Bakugou x Reader CH. 1
**Warning: THIS SERIES WILL CONTAIN VIOLENCE, ADULT LANGUAGE, AND ADULT SITUATIONS, IF YOU- ah, who am I kidding, you wouldn’t be here if you didn’t wanna read that stuff, so go ahead, be my guest. (Please be kind, this is my first ever tumblr post! 0=0)
I’ve known from a young age that I was different. Truth be told, I never wanted to be this way. I never wanted a quirk, but I guess that’s just the way things are now. Less and less people are born without a quirk, so when I developed mine at the age of two, I should’ve been happy, thrilled, even excited… but I wasn’t.
“She needs to be properly counselled. She needs to learn that lying is never okay, and this school will not condone it. ” The school nurse spoke to my mother as I sat quietly on the bench outside of the room as they continued their conference.
“Y-yes, I understand… but I’m still having trouble understanding what you said before… you mentioned that she had fallen.” Mother questioned, and I sighed quietly. I hadn’t told the nurse the whole story, and it wasn’t really my intention to do so.
“Typical behavior for a kid her age. They’ll do just about anything to get attention.” The chair she was sitting in creaked as she stood and strolled across the room.
“My daughter has never acted that way before… if she said she was hurt, then I’m apt to believe she wasn’t lying.”
A moment passed as the nurse seemingly thought over her next words carefully.
“There’s been a misunderstanding, Miss (L/N).” The nurse spoke.
“Your daughter never mentioned she’d been hurt. Her teacher sent her here after witnessing your daughter bullying another student.” She said.
Immediately my mother stood, knocking the chair she’d been sitting in backwards from the speed in which she stood.
“That’s enough!” She declared, causing my eyes to go wide.
“(Y/N) is a good kid. I know she would never be the bully in any situation.” she said, her tone demanding attention.
“I… I can understand why you would be skeptical… but there were witnesses.” The nurse said, and another moment of silence passed between them before my mother spoke again.
“We’re leaving.” She said simply before stepping through the door, and grabbing me by the hand to follow her towards the exit doors.
“Calling my daughter a ‘bully’... the nerve of some people!” Mother mumbled under her breath. I slipped my hand from her grip, and she stopped to look back at me as I frantically wiped at the tears streaming down my cheeks.
“Oh sweetie…” She purred, kneeling in front of me to dry my eyes.
“Don’t listen to what that mean lady said. You’re not a bully.” She coaxed, and I shook my head, and tried to speak between sobs.
“B-B-But... *hic* M-Mommy, I-I… *hic* I really did *hic* push that kid down…*hic*” Her eyes widened, and then softened just as quickly as she retrieved a handkerchief from her back pocket to dab at my swollen, wet eyes.
“Oh sweetie… why?” She asked, and I had managed to calm down a bit.
“I… I wouldn’t have hit him if he hadn’t hit me first!” I said, now puffing my cheeks out.” Mother nodded, indicating for me to continue.
“There was this other kid that was getting bullied, so I told the bigger kid to cut it out, and he pushed me down on the sidewalk.” I explained, wiping my nose on my jacket sleeve.
“He made me scrape my knee, and it was all bloody and gross… so I pushed him back, and he started crying…” I said, and an amused look came over her face.
“Sweetie… it’s not really considered bullying if you’re standing up for yourself. Also, you were protecting someone from getting hurt, right?” She asked, and I nodded.
“Well then, that doesn’t make you a bully… it makes you a hero.” She said, smiling brightly. I blinked a few times before tilting my head to the side in thought.
“Like All-Might?” I asked, and she chuckled before nodding.
“Exactly!” She said, and I hummed in thought.
“But mommy, I don’t wanna be a hero.” I said, and her eyes widened in disbelief before she chuckled once more, and pulled me into a tight hug.
“You know what, sweetie? That’s just fine. You don’t have to be a hero. You can be anything you want to be.” She said, and I smiled.
“I don’t know what I wanna be yet.” I said, and she just smiled back.
“-And that’s okay. You have plenty of time to decide.” She said before standing and walking me out to the car to go home.
“Wait, didn’t you mention you scraped your knee?” Mother asked, and I nodded slightly.
“Yeah. It was all bloody and gross.” I repeated, and she pulled the seatbelt across me before examining my knee through my ripped up denim overalls.
“What? There’s no sign of a scrape.” She said, giving me a look.
“It’s okay mommy. I made it go away. It didn’t even hurt.” I said proudly. She blinked a few times before giving a tired smile.
“It sure has been a long day… let’s get home and grab a bite to eat.” She said before buckling herself into her seat, and starting the car.
*Middle school 7½  years later*
“(Y/N)-chan will you tutor me in science? I’m totally gonna flunk if I don’t pass next week’s midterm!” My friend Sawa groaned next to me, and I chuckled sheepishly.
“C’mon Sawa, I think you give me a little too much credit.” I said, and the two of us jumped as a loud ‘boom’ echoed through the hallways. At the end of the hall I saw two kids from my class. One that was slightly taller with spiky blond hair, and the other, smaller with curly black hair with a green undertone.
“K-Kaachan, I didn’t mean to-” He stuttered, but Bakugou had already pulled an arm back, ready to blast him in the face like he’d done many times before.
“C’mon (Y/N) let’s head towards the other end of the hall…” Sawa said, her hair standing on end, but my body had already moved on its own.
“(Y/N)!” Sawa shouted.
“DIE! DAMNED DEKU!!”” Bakugou shouted his trademark shout, but I had already moved myself in front of Izuku before he could strike. His eyes widened, but he couldn’t stop the momentum of his arm as his quirk was released full force into my face. When the smoke cleared, I hadn’t flinched, and his eyes grew wide as I glared at him unwaveringly.
“For someone who wants to be the number one hero, you don’t seem very heroic.” I said, my tone bland as the small scratches that littered my face and neck slowly disappeared.
“The hell is your deal?!” Bakugou demanded. I ignored him and turned to Midoriya.
“You okay, Izuku?” I asked, and he nodded.
“Y-yeah…” He said, still regarding Bakugou.
“HEY, I ASKED YOU A QUESTION!” He shouted at me, and I just glanced at him over my shoulder unimpressed.
“What’s that?” I asked.
“DON’T PRETEND LIKE YOU DIDN’T HEAR ME!” He shouted even louder, letting off another explosion, but I blocked it with my hand. The scratches then quickly healed themselves, and I turned to look Bakugou directly in the eye.
“Look, I don’t know what your deal is, but shouting, bullying people and blowing everything up won’t solve your problems.” I said, and he continued to glare daggers straight through me.
“Grow up.” I hissed, and he simply furrowed his brow before leaning back on his heels and shoving his hands into his pockets. He gave a quick grunt of disapproval before trudging off down the hall.
“W-wow… I’ve never seen anyone stand up to Kaachan like that…” Midoriya said. I helped him to pick his books up, and couldn’t help but notice the title of one of them.
“‘Hero Analysis for the future’?” I asked, and he frantically waved his hands.
“Oh, Y-yeah! I-It’s just something that I enjoy doing… watching heros and analyzing their strategies and whatnot…” He mumbled.
“It doesn’t sound like something you enjoy by the tone of your voice.” I said matter-of-factly. He looked surprised at my words before smiling weakly at the ground.
“I do! It’s just… y’know. What’s the point?” He asked, defeatedly, looking down sideways at his books.
“I’m quirkless… and no one has ever heard of a quirkless hero before… Kaachan… he’s so amazing. He’s so confident and strong.” He said, with an air of admiration in his tone now as he spoke about Bakugou.
“Sure… he’s also a bully.” I said, helping Midoriya to his feet.
“Oh, Kaachan has always been that way since we were kids.” Midoriya laughed it off, and I shot him a quick look.
“Right… listen Midoriya.” I said, collecting his attention quickly.
“Just because Bakugou was your friend when you were kids doesn’t give him the right to treat you this way… and it shouldn’t matter if you have a quirk or not.” I said, and his eyes widened.
“Wh-what are you saying…?” He asked, and I gave him a knowing smile.
“I’m saying that… just because you’re quirkless doesn’t mean you can’t be a-” Just then, the bell rang, and judging by the fact that Sawaya had already run off to the other end of the hall, we were already late for class.
“Sorry! I can’t be late for english again, I-” Just before I could take off down the hall, he grabbed my arm, his grip trembling slightly as he squeezed.
“Wait, please!” He seemed to beg, and I stopped immediately, looking back at him.
“Huh? What is it?” I asked, and gasped slightly when I saw that he was tearing up.
“P-please… finish what you were going to say…” He begged, and I felt my heart tug within my chest. I swallowed hard before turning towards him, and resting my hands on his shoulders.
“Just because you’re quirkless, doesn’t mean you can’t be a hero.” I said, and the tears began to stream  down his cheeks.
“Th-thank you… I… I needed to hear th-that…” He sobbed, and I gave him a quick hug before running off in the opposite direction.
“I’ll see you later!” I waved behind me, feeling my heart swell with emotion, glad I could make someone’s day better.
*Lunchtime*
I waved goodbye to Sawa as she left for her study period, and walked with my bento over towards where I normally sat when I noticed a familiar head of hair sitting by itself in the corner of the lunch room.
“Hey Midoriya.” I greeted, and he jumped slightly when he saw that I was standing there. After a moment, he grinned sheepishly and began to speak.
“Oh, h-hey (F/N)-chan…” He greeted, and I immediately sat myself down as I tugged the other half of his face towards me so I could see better.
“Bakugou again?” I asked, giving him a look that said if he lied to me, he’d regret it. He looked panicked for a second before nodding.
“Y-yeah… I accidentally bumped him in the hallway.” He said, and I shook my head.
“Hold still.” I said before lightly touching his cheek, and transferring some of my energy to him. The cuts healed immediately, and his eyes began to sparkle as he began rummaging through his bag for something.
“Midoriya? What are you doing?” I questioned. He whipped out the journal I had seen before along with a pen.
“Please tell me about your quirk!” He exclaimed, and I blinked a few times before registering his request.
“Oh, I uh… it’s nothing really.” I waved him off, but he insisted.
“A healing ability is super rare! Hardly 1% of the entire population are born with a healing quirk!” He exclaimed, spewing all of these facts and trivias at me, and I quickly held up my hand to stop him.
“It’s not quite that simple.” I said, and he watched me expectantly, his pen ready for writing.
“My quirk developed when I was two years old… and as long as I can remember, I haven’t been able to feel any pain.” I said, and he looked at me absolutely dumbfounded.
“So… your quirk is a type of absorption?” He asked, and I shrugged.
“I hadn’t really thought about it…” I admitted.
“Hmm… it kinda makes sense… earlier, when Kaachan used his quirk on you, you didn’t even flinch. Also, right after you absorbed the energy from his attack, your body began to heal itself!” He was mumbling to himself, but I could hear him quite clearly.
He formed a fist with one hand before clapping it into his other with realization.
“Wait, so then… if you can absorb the energy from another’s quirk, and then use that energy for yourself to heal, wouldn't it also have offensive capabilities too?” He questioned, more himself than me. At this point, I listened intently whilst eating my bento. He looked so content I didn’t want to interrupt him.
“You have an amazing quirk, (Y/N)-chan! You could definitely get into UA if you wanted to!” He said, and I smiled kindly.
“Thanks Midoriya… but uh… I don’t want to be a hero really.” I said, and his face fell.
“Wh-what…?” He questioned, and I nodded.
“I mean… I want to help people, sure, but I don’t feel like being all flashy about it is really necessary. Y’know? You can help someone just as much by doing less.” I said, and he chuckled awkwardly.
“Sure, yeah… that’s a good way to think about it… it’s just…” He hesitated for a moment before speaking again.
“Sorry. I guess I’m just jealous.” He admitted, smiling slightly.
“Jealous? Of what?” I asked.
“You have this rare and amazing quirk, but don’t want to use it for being a hero… I’m completely quirkless, and being a hero is all I’ve ever wanted.” He said, a familiar sadness in his eyes.
“Oh Midoriya…” I sighed, placing my chopsticks down.
“You can be a hero too.” I said, and just like before his eyes widened. He smiled, and turned his eyes to look dowards at the table, trying to hide the blush creeping onto his cheeks.
“Right… you said that before too…” He mumbled. He then lifted his head up, his eyes bright and his cheeks still slightly rosy.
“Thanks, (Y/N)!” He said, his smile contagious.
“Anytime, Izuku.” I said, smiling back.
*Back home* I stepped through the door, and the house was unusually cold. Normally, I was met with the delicious smell of dinner on the table, or if mom had worked late, she would’ve picked something up on her way home.
“Mom?” I called out, the faint light of the fan above the stove was on and slightly flickering. I dropped my bag near the door, and walked towards the kitchen slowly, switching the lights on as I went.
“Mom? I’m home. I thought maybe we could check out that new steakhouse tonight. Sawa’s mom works there as a hostess, and I know you’re probably exhausted from work, so I-” I rounded the corner to the kitchen, and my blood ran cold.
“MOM!” She had collapsed onto the floor near the kitchen table, and was breathing, but just barely.
“Mom, what happened? Can you hear me?” I asked, and when she didn’t answer I jumped up and rushed over to the kitchen phone to call the paramedics. The automated message on the other line made my stomach sink.
‘Hello, unfortunately due to the high call volume we are receiving at the moment, we are unable to take your call right away. Please stay on the line and one of our dispatchers will be with you shortly.’ There was a beep followed by some music, and I quickly hung up the phone.
“DAMMIT!” I screamed before running back to mom who was still struggling to breath whilst beginning to turn very pale and blotchy.
“Mom, tell me where it hurts so I can heal you.” I said, and her eyes widened in terror as she shook her head.
“What? Mom, just point to where it hurts! Show me!” I begged, but she continued to shake her head, her face growing paler by the second.
“Mom, please, I…” I cursed to myself before finally deciding what needed to be done. If she wouldn’t let me heal her, I had to do the next best thing.
“Can you stand?” I asked, but she didn’t get a chance to answer me as I helped her to sit up by throwing one of her arms around my shoulder, and lifting her up with the strength of my legs.
“C’mon let’s go.” I said, hoping she’d have enough strength to walk, but every step she took forward only caused the two of us to stumble two steps backwards or sideways.
“Hold onto me.” I said. She weakly threw her arms over me, and I did a little hop to get her completely gathered in my arms. Luckily, I hadn’t shut the door behind me so I quickly maneuvered it open with my foot, and descended the stairs. I jerked open the back seat to her car and placed her in the backseat before sitting in the driver’s seat, and reaching above my head for the spare key that she kept in the paneling in front of the windshield.
“It’s okay… this is fine… I’ve never driven before in my life… but this is fine…” I took a deep breath before turning the key, putting the car in gear, and hitting the gas. The car lurched backwards, and I immediately hit the brake, causing the car to jerk forward.
“Shit…!” I cursed, gripping the steering wheel tightly enough to turn my knuckles white. I switched the car out of reverse and put it into drive before hitting the gas again, and taking off in the wrong direction on a one way street. Thankfully, it was late so there weren’t many drivers on the road, but those who were weren’t very happy with me at the moment.
I pulled through into the opening for the hospital, and accidentally took off one of my mother’s side mirrors. I slid out of the car and quickly ran in to grab a nurse.
“Please, please, something is wrong with my mother, please help!” I begged, grabbing her hand. She and a few other nurses hurried out to the car, and before long they were rushing her through the hospital on a gurney as fast as they could.
“I’m sorry ma’am but you can’t go back there.” One of the male nurses stopped me as they took her through to the OR, and I felt my stomach doing flips as he led me out into the waiting room to wait with all the other anxious people.
Old Friends 6
Warning: Torture and attempted rape, take care of yourselves if you have problems reading!
Fluff/Angst
I also used google translate for Russian since I do not speak Russian, if you can imagine.
Reader gets kidnapped, and the team fears it may be too late.
Enjoy! Chapter 6: We were all eating lunch in the break room when Morgan looked at me with a smile.
    “YLN, you knew Spencer pretty well in college, yes?”
    “Um, yeah. I would say so.” I said with a giggle.
    “Got any stories?”
    Spencer groaned. “No, please.”
    I laughed. “Um, well... Spencer would always correct the professor. No matter what. On one class day, the professor couldn’t take it anymore. She said ‘Mr. Reid, if you cannot handle a small mistake in my grammar, then you can teach the class!’ And guess what he did?”
    “Teach the class?” Morgan was almost dying of laughter.
    “Bingo. So a tall, lanky sixteen year old stood by the board and taught everyone for 45 minutes until the class ended. And not only that, he also said ‘Actually Professor, it’s Dr. Reid.”
    “I can’t say this story surprises me,” JJ said in between giggles.
    “She was teaching the lesson incorrectly! I was doing her a favor,” Spencer exclaimed.
    “Whatever you say, pretty boy,” Morgan teased.
    My phone buzzed, and my heart started pounding when I saw the caller.
    “Um, I have to go really fast... it’s um... I gotta go.” I quickly got up from the table and stood by myself in the bullpen.
    “Barry, why are you calling me?” I asked. “I’m not on the surveillance job anymore.”
     “We need you right now.” Barry’s deep voice sounded distressed. “Lia and Frankie are dead, and Gretchen just went missing.”
     The breath caught in my throat. “Is there the same signature?”
     “They were both branded as victims of the Russian Mob in New York City.”
     “Do we know where the lap dogs are? If anyone knows what happened to Lia and Frankie, it’s those thugs.”
     “We know where they’re holed up, a run down apartment on Lower East side.” Barry paused. “No one knows these guys better than you, YFN. We need you to work your magic. And YFN?”
     “Yes?”
     “Bring your team. We need all the help we can get.” Barry hung up, and my chest started tightening.
     I looked up the stairs. “Hotch!”
---
“Are you sure your former team leader is alright with you bringing us in?” Hotch eyed me questioningly. “You said your old assignment was codeword-classified.”
    “It was, but after the new circumstances, Barry gave me the green light to bring you guys in. If you want to,” I added. “I know it’s not a formal case, but I’m going to work it on my own either way. I’m by no means demanding your help.”
     “We’ll help you,” Hotch reassured. “We are a family, and you are a part of that family.”
---
“Five years ago, when I had just turned 24, I was assigned a CIA job to conduct surveillance on members of the Russian Mob.” The team stared at me, completely dumbstruck. “I lived and worked from a small, run down apartment down the hall from a foxhole for the Russian Mob. I recorded, analyzed, and reported all their movements.”
    Morgan furrowed his eyebrows. “For how long?”
    “Three and a half years. These thugs that I lived down the hall from were involved in anything from small drug deals to human trafficking to illegal weapons distribution.” I remembered the small apartment that smelled of stale beer. “No one knows these guys better than I do.”
    “Why were you taken off the job?” JJ asked.
   “I wasn’t taken off the job. I requested a transfer six months before I left the surveillance apartment. My friend, Lia Morales... she took over the assignment after I left.” I paused for a moment. “She was tortured, murdered and dumped in the Lower East side three weeks ago. My other team member, Frank Castellan, was murdered in the exact same fashion one week ago. Gretchen Ryan, the only other one that knew about the operation bedsides Barry and I, went missing yesterday.”
    “Do we have jurisdiction?” Spencer asked.
    “Yes, they were federal agents and we are a branch of the Bureau. Let’s take a trip to New York City.” Hotch grabbed the case file and hurried out the door. “Wheels up in 30.”
     “We’re meeting my former team leader, Barry Lesley, at the field office.” I called out as I followed closely behind Hotch.
---
Barry looked exactly the same as he did five years ago. Tall, bald, bulging muscles and a large sense of superiority. He went straight into business as he’s always done.
    “No time for introductions, YLN I want you positioned nearby the new foxhole for surveillance.” I tried to ignore the way my heart sank at the thought of going back to a tiny apartment like the one I stayed in for three and a half years. “I want the rest of the team focusing on our known group of thugs that do the Mob’s dirty work here at the field office. Everyone got it?”
   Everyone got it, but I could see on a few faces looks of irritation and confusion. They weren’t used to Barry’s take charge action, even compared to Hotch.
   As we were getting supplies for the surveillance house, Hotch approached me. “YLN, I want you to take someone with you to the surveillance house. If they’re targeting your old team, that means you’re on the list too.”
   “Hotch, I left the team before the assignment was blown. They don’t know about me.” I explained.
    “Even so, take someone with you.”
    I looked up at Spencer. “Wanna join me?”
    “Of course. Anything.”
---
The new apartment I’m staying in was even smaller than the last one. The recording gear was scattered on the bed, ready for use.
    “So, this was your life for three and a half years?” Spencer asked me.
   I let out a bitter laugh as we set up the audio. “Yeah, the only thing that kept me here so long was that I knew I was saving lives.”
   “How did you stay sane?”
   The question surprised me, then I realized it actually was valid. How did I stay sane? “I didn’t focus on myself. All of my attention was on the people down the hall. Whenever I would hear them talk about ‘packages’ I knew I had to warn somebody.”
   Spencer furrowed his eyebrows. “Sounds lonely.”
   “You have no idea.”
    The recorder picked something up. They were speaking in Russian. “Kogda nam ponadobitsya sleduyuschiy pikap?” When are we needed for the next pick up?
    “That’s Tevon. He’s almost 30 and he was once on trial for a possible gang related double homicide in Russia six years ago,” I explained to Spencer.
    “pozzhe segodnya vecherom boss khochet, chtoby my vzyali dopolnitel'noye vremya s novym paketom.” Later tonight. The boss wants us to take extra time with the new package.
    “That’s Eugene. He’s the oldest, and seems to call a lot of the shots in the foxhole. The Boss we haven’t gotten to yet, so we don’t know who he is, but something strange happened a few months before I left the assignment.”
    “What happened?”
    “Someone shot the old Boss in the head and took his role. By the way these thugs talk about him, they like this new boss a lot better.”
    One of the guys got a phone call. “Kakaya? O chem ty govorish'?” What? What are you talking about? “Federaly? Ostavaytes' na linii.” The feds? Hold on.
    “This is not good,” I whispered.
    All of a sudden the surveillance audio cut out. “Has that ever happened before?” Spencer asked.
    “No, never.”
    Spencer raced towards the door, and right when he was in front of it, the door opened, and a fist collided with Spencer’s face.
    I reached for my gun, but then I remembered that I didn’t bring it. This surveillance job was only supposed to be undercover, so why would I need a weapon?
   They knocked Spencer to the ground, and looked over at me. “Tak chto eto krasivaya devushka, kotoraya smotrit na nas.” So this is the pretty girl that’s been watching us. By the voice I could tell it was Eugene.
   The three men rushed at me, and I felt one of them jam a needle in my neck before my knees buckled.
---
The first thing I felt was the pain in my arms when I woke up. They were chained above my head, and by the numbness, have been there for a while.
   The darkness of the chamber I was in still seemed to cast shadows across the faces of my captors. The biggest, Eugene, was sitting in an old wooden chair, watching me with a smile. The youngest, Igor, was asleep on an old ratty couch in the corner. Tevon was nowhere to be found.
   “Hey Boss, she’s awake.” Eugene called out in English.
   “Good. Now we can get started.”
   The voice made me catch my breath in my throat. It didn’t have any kind of Russian accent, but that wasn’t the first thing I noticed.
   A fistful of my hair was yanked backwards, and with my head tilted back, I could see into the eyes of the Boss.
   Barry.
   “You son of a bitch.” I whispered. “You killed Gretchen, didn’t you?”
   With his other hand, he traced a line down the center of my throat.
   “Yes I did. Are you going to be a good girl for me, YFN?” He whispered, his breath hot in my ear.
   When I didn’t answer, he let go of my hair and fully faced me.
   His knuckles collided with my jaw, and he leaned in close to my face once I recovered. “Answer the question. Are you going to be a good girl?”
   I licked the blood off my lip and spat in his face. “Never.”
   Barry just gave me a sick smile, and wiped the blood and saliva off his cheek. “Good. This will be a lot more fun then.”
---
Spencer’s POV
How could she be gone? She was right there and then she wasn’t. I started panicking as the team arrived at the apartment.
   “Reid, how many guys were there?” Hotch asked.
   “Three guys, one named Eugene, one named Tevon, and I don’t know the last one.”
   “I’ll call Garcia to dig up dirt on these guys.” Morgan grabbed his phone and took a few steps away.
   “How could they know we were here? Nobody knew about this assignment except for us and-“ Spencer stopped. “Barry Lesley. Where is he?”
   Prentiss’s jaw drops. “He said he was going to meet with some contacts a few hours ago but he never came back.”
   “We have to find him.” Hotch seemed to age almost ten years older in this moment.
   “And when we do, we’ll make him pay for messing with our family.” Rossi added.
---
Reader’s POV
They didn’t even ask me any questions. Barry and Eugene hit me with relentless force for what seemed to be no reason at all.
   “Do you want some more?” Barry screamed in my face. Tears dripped down my cheeks and I could feel my broken ribs, but not once did I beg them to stop.
    “I’ve figured you out, Barry.” My hoarse voice croaked. “Before I left the assignment, they were looking to me to replace you, weren’t they? You were going to be either demoted or fired, so when I quit the assignment, you got to stay.”
    “Shut up!” Barry shouted, and he landed a firm punch to my stomach.
    I gasped for air as I continued. “But you never... forgot that a 27 year old woman... was about to take... your job. That’s the reason you... became the Boss... so you could feel any sense of power... that I had taken away from you.”
    Barry didn’t raise his fist like I thought he would. Instead he snapped one of his fingers, and Igor handed him a serrated knife. “Maybe you’re profiling me... but that won’t do you any good here.” He didn’t smile, he just walked forward slowly.
    Suddenly my arms, which had long gone numb, were yanked upwards. I was pulled off my knees to where I could barely touch the ground with my toes.
    Barry wrapped his free hand behind me on my lower back. “You’re going to love this... profiler.”
---
Spencer’s POV
Spencer had never heard Garcia type so fast as she did right now.
    “Okay, so the Russian thugs don’t own any property in the US, but Barry Lesley definitely does. He comes from an old New York money family, so he has four properties littered all around the state.”
   “Narrow that down to isolated buildings.” Hotch called out to the phone. Spencer was starting to panic. He didn’t even get to tell her...
    “Two properties.”
   “Barry knows the geographic profile of the comfort zone. If he took YFN to one of those properties, it would be out of his comfort zone as a forensic countermeasure.” Spencer thought about YFN alone in a dirty basement somewhere. “What properties are outside of the comfort zone?”
    “Oh my god, there’s only one! Sending it to your phones now. Please go save our friend!”
---
Reader’s POV
The knife was so, so much worse than fists.
   Barry had ripped off my shirt, leaving me in my bra and pants. He trailed the knife along my stomach, leaving a line of blood behind.
    The sticky feel of blood on my skin made me want to pass out. Barry suddenly pressed the knife down harder, making me scream. When he pulled away, he had a smile.
    “Please...” I whispered without thinking.
    “What was that?”
    My eyesight was blurred in my tears. “Nothing… it was nothing.”
     He laughed, and reached for his belt buckle. “I’ve been thinking about this for years.”
    I squeezed my eyes shut as he lowered his pants and stalked towards me. I bit my lip as he hooked his fingers into my waistband and pulled them downwards. I did anything I could to take myself out of this moment.
    “Have you seen the article explaining how Pi could be a rational number?” Spencer’s wide eyes looked so excited. “It’s totally preposterous, but still an interesting article.”
    Rough hands gripping my hips.
    “YFN, what did you want to be growing up? I wanted to be a cowboy at first, but then after everything with my mom, I decided I wanted to cure schizophrenia instead.”
    Hot breath in my ear. The rancid smell of cigarettes.
    “I love you, YFN. I want you to be more than just my friend.”
    The maniacal laughter echoing in the dark basement.
    “Hey, um, sorry for the late call. I just wanted to let you know that I’m... struggling. Without you. A case... was more difficult than usual. I’m afraid that I’ll be hooked on something forever, and I can’t walk away from it.”
    People shouting upstairs. A door being kicked in. The sound of a gunshot.
    “You’re the strongest person I’ve ever met.”
    A knife being plunged into my stomach. Another gunshot.
   “I need a medic in here!” I was let down to the ground, rolling on my back.
   Familiar coffee brown eyes looked down at me and warm hands covered the wound on my stomach.
   “Spencer...can’t breathe...” I coughed, blood spilling over my chin.
   “Hey, I’ve got you.”
---
When I woke up, I could feel the pain that flooded my body. I could feel every broken rib and the deep stab wound in my stomach. I was alone in an unfamiliar room, and my heart started pounding in my chest.
   Are you going to be a good little girl?
   “Stop,” I whispered, squeezing my eyes shut again.
    This will be a lot more fun then.
    “Shut up,” I said louder.
    That won’t do you any good here.
    “I said, shut up!” The words ripped from my mouth, along with other shouts and screams. I could still hear him, his hot breath whispering in my ear. All I could think of was the feeling of his knuckles against my jaw, his rough hands gripping my hips. And all I knew was that I had to get out of here.
    And then I was running, more like stumbling, into the bright hallway as people in scrubs and coats tried to catch me from falling.
    A man appeared in front of me in a dark red cardigan and black tie. He was saying something. I stopped running, and sank against the wall. The man’s voice seemed to be underwater.
   “Remember that time in college? We were seventeen and I was too afraid to talk to you?” Spencer. He had knelt down in front of me, his hands cradling my head.
    “... I got two cups of coffee from the coffee shop... and placed one in front of you in the library.” My voice didn’t sound like mine, as if it was coming from someone else. “I had said...’Coffee is a language in itself.’ You said ‘Jackie Chan.’”
    “You don’t have to fight anymore, YFN.” Spencer let go of my face and held my hands.
    Cold chains tugging my wrists above my head. I could see the bruises the metal cuffs left.
    I didn’t realize I had started shouting and fighting again until a needle was in my arm, and I could feel someone catch me as I fell.
---
I woke up in a foggy state of mind. Dimmed fluorescent lights hurt my eyes, and I didn’t feel any pain. A beeping noise filled my ears.
    The warm hand covering mine kept me from panicking.
    “Hey.” Spencer’s eyes were puffy, and his dark bags sinked downwards.
    “Is this a hospital?” I croaked out softly.
    “Yes,” Spencer said. “You held on.”
    “Where’s the team?”
    “In the waiting room. Do you want to see them?”
    I shook my head no. “My brain feels like it’s full of cotton balls... and my throat hurts.”
   Spencer gave me a sad smile. “Just get some rest.”
   “Is that because I was screaming so much?”
    He didn’t answer.
    “Answer me, Spencer.”
    His eyes looked down at the floor. “Yeah... you were really scared when you first woke up.”
    That’s when I remembered everything. “Please don’t leave.”
    “I wouldn’t dream of it, my dear.” Spencer gave me a weak smile.
    That was a line from one of my favorite books. “You’re cute,” I mumbled as I closed my eyes and drifted off.
   “You’re beautiful.”
---
   The team came and saw me after I woke up again. Hotch, Rossi, Morgan, Prentiss, JJ, even Garcia flew in from Quantico. And of course Spencer. “Thank you... for saving me.”
   “Don’t mention it. You’ve saved the day so many times you finally let us have a turn.” Rossi had a twinkle in his eyes that I could swear looked like tears.
     Hotch cleared his throat. “You’re going to be on medical leave for a while, but the doctor said no lasting damage had been done.”
    At least not physically. I could tell that’s what everyone was thinking. My eyes found Spencer’s.
   “Um, we’ll leave you two alone.” Morgan said, and the team shuffled out, leaving me with Spencer.
    “How long have I been here?” I asked.
    “We found you yesterday, so you’ve been unconscious for about 24 hours.” He walked forward and stood by my bedside table.
     “How bad is it?” I whispered.
     He seemed reluctant to tell me. “YFN-“
     “Tell me.”
     He took a deep breath. “Four broken ribs, a collapsed lung, dozens of small wounds all over your body... and a deep stab wound to the stomach.”
    “Did he-”
    “No. He didn’t.”
    I looked at Spencer with sad eyes. “But he tried to.”
     We were quiet for a while, and Spencer sat at the edge of my bed.
    “I trusted him.” I finally said. “I trusted him and he...” he killed three of my friends to get to me.
    “It’s okay to cry.” Spencer said softly. But I couldn’t.
    “Spencer,” I started. “I don’t think I’m going to be the same person I was going into this case.”
     “I know. And I’ll be here with you every step of the way.”
     I closed my eyes. “I’m so tired...”
    “Go to sleep. You’ve earned it.”
The Maze Trials: A Gally Fanfiction
Pairing: Gally x Emi(OC)
Background: Emi, first girl the Glade has seen. Tougher than she looks and more than ready to prove it. Since day one her and Gally have been at each other's throats. Fighting constantly and not just with their words.
(Gally fanfiction which will include smut. It also has an actual story line. Think of it as an AU to the original Maze Runner. It'll mostly follow the main story line with some changes. Mostly focusing on Emi and Gally and their relationship.)
Chapter Five
Tumblr media
I was sitting in a circle on the floor with a few other kids. We were chatting and laughing like old friends.
"She couldn't even make it a quarter of the way!" The boy next to me laughed then patted my knee.
"I could too!" I shot back at him.
"Oh really? Every time I've seen you run you can't make it but a few feet before you start panting." He laughed sticking his tongue out at me.
Instead of answering I lunged toward him knocking him back on the floor. We rolled around playfully fighting each other.
"Gally! Emi! That is enough!" A woman's voice shouted from somewhere in the room.
We jumped away from each other knowing the woman meant business when she sounded like that. We quickly went back to our seats in the circle. Once I was seated an arm draped over my shoulder then pulled me to the side. It was the boy on the other side of me.
"Minho stop it" Gally said then swatted at the boy's arm around me.
"Alright kids let's go!" A man's voice shouted making all of us jump up and run towards him.
___
I shot up into a sitting position.
"Bloody hell" the thick accent shouted.
What the hell was that? I thought to myself as I stared at the wall in front of me. Then I had another thought. Gally? Minho? Emi? We were kids. Just little kids. What kind of dream was that?
"Emi" I said aloud.
"What?" Newt asked.
I snapped out of my little trance and jumped out of bed. He took a startled step backwards. I grabbed his shirt pulling him against me.
"My name is Emi." I said with a grin.
Newt started laughing. He grabbed my hands releasing himself from my hold.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Emi." He smiled at me.
Once we got outside to where everyone was eating Newt walked to one of the tables then climbed on top of it.
"Can I get everyone's attention!" He shouted.
Everyone stopped and turned to look at him.
"Our greenie has remembered her name. Everyone, this is Emi." He smiled gesturing down to me.
All the boys shouted "Emi" at the same time then cheered. As Newt climbed down from the table everyone went back to what they were doing. Just like yesterday I sat between Newt and Minho with Clint and Jeff across from us.
"Emi, I like that." Minho said more to himself.
I started eating ignoring the chatter around us. It wasn't until I was almost done with my food that Newt nudged me.
"Today you're with Fry in the kitchen." He said matter of factly.
I nodded glancing over to the boy in the shack. That shouldn't be too bad. Hopefully I'll be busy most of the day.
"Before I go to work would I be able to have a quick chat with Alby?" I asked Newt.
"Yea, he's in his office. Everything alright?" He asked raising a brow at me.
"Yea everything's fine" I smiled then turned back to my food.
After I finished eating I made a quick beeline for Alby's office. He was sitting there head down looking at something.
"Hey Alby" I said quietly in the doorway.
"Greenie, how are you?" He asked with a smile.
"Well first, I remember my name. It's Emi. Second, I wanted to see if I could talk to you about a dream I had last night." I said stepping into the room.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Emi and yes of course you can have a seat." He gestured to a lone chair.
I sat down then thought about what to say for a moment.
"I'm not sure if this means anything but it felt more like a memory than a dream. We were little kids maybe 7 or 8 years old. When I say we I mean myself and some of the boys from here in the Glade. We were sitting in a circle just chatting and joking like kids do. The boys were making fun of me for something to do with running. I ended up fighting with a young Gally. At least that's the name the woman yelling at us used. Then Minho was there too sitting next to me. I have no idea what any of that was but it felt weird." I explained the best I could.
Alby sat there for a moment like he was thinking up an answer to my dream. He shook his head lips drawn tight as he thought.
"I'm not sure what to say. It's very intriguing. Will you let me know if you have anymore dreams like that?" He asked.
"Of course" I nodded with a small smile.
"If I think of anything I'll let you know until then go ahead and get to work. Thank you for sharing that with me."
I waved at him as I left the room then went straight to the shack with Frypan in it.
"Sorry I'm late I had to talk to Alby." I stated as I walked inside.
"It's all good Newt told me. So let's get straight to it. After breakfast I work on cleaning up everything. Which is what we are gonna work on now but after everything is clean we will start preparing for lunch."
I nodded then followed Fry's lead. He showed me what to clean and how to clean it. With both of us working on it we had it all finished it pretty good time. After that we immediately got started on cooking lunch. This is where things got a little rough for me. I felt like a bumbling fool. Fry was explaining everything to me and I was trying to remember it but there was so much to remember. How in the world did he do all of this by himself?
"This is stressful" I said as I went back and forth between a large pot and a skillet full of meat.
Fry chuckled then grabbed the meat out of my way.
"It can be if you're not use to it." He smiled at me.
I somehow made it threw the cooking process. It was rough and I felt like I'd never worked harder. We only had a few short minutes to rest before the lunch bell tolled and here came all the hungry boys running towards the shack. Fry and I both served making the line go faster. Newt made a joke about how cute I looked. I thought about throwing my large spoon at him but decided not to. Gally came threw to get his food. He didn't comment but he did smirk and look me up and down.
When all the boy's had their food Fry and I made ourselves plates then went out to the tables. Fry went to sit with Gally while I joined Newt, Alby, Clint, and Jeff.
"Hows the kitchen?" Newt asked.
"Awful" I said quietly.
The four boys chuckled knowing exactly what I meant.
"Fry can be tough to deal with when it comes to his food." Clint said matter of factly.
"Not really it's just really stressful. I don't know how he does that by himself but I know I'm not gonna be much help to him." I said shaking my head.
Lunch was over all too soon meaning I had to go back to the kitchen. Fry and I chatted a bit as we cleaned up from lunch. Then just like we did earlier we jumped straight into prepping food for dinner.
"How'd you learn how to do this?" I asked him as he showed me how to cook tonight's meal.
He shrugged.
"I have no idea just came naturally I guess." He smiled at me.
This meal wasn't too bad to cook but I still felt a lot more stressed out than I should have. Fry had a good time laughing at me for it.
"I can tell cooking isn't your thing." He chuckled as we finished up.
"Is it that obvious?" I asked laughing.
He nodded as he prepared to start serving in a few short minutes.
As the end of work and dinner bell tolled I watched the boys once again run towards the shack. No one made comments to me this time which I was thankful for. I might have actually thrown my spoon this time. I joined the others at my usual table.
Minho and Newt left me very little space to squeeze in between them but I managed. Newt chuckled and scooted over once I was seated. Minho on the other hand stayed right next to me.
The normal chatter about the day went on around me. I just ate my food silently. I was more than ready for bed. After I finished I went to get up but Minho threw his arm over my shoulder and pulled me closer to him.
"Wanna take a walk?" He asked in a whisper.
"Sure, why not?" I questioned chuckling.
The two of us got up and put our trays back on the counter of the shack then I followed him towards the forest. Even though I was ready for bed I figured I could do something other than work and sleep. Once we were past the tree line Minho put his arm around me again.
"How are you liking the Glade so far?" He asked as we walked.
"It's not too bad." I smiled watching my feet.
"I figured you hadn't seen this part of the Glade yet. Thought I could be the one to show you." He smiled at me.
"That's very nice of you Minho." I chuckled.
We were far enough in the trees now that I couldn't see the Glade behind us anymore. Minho stopped walking and looked around. Then he did something I wasn't exactly expecting. He grabbed my waist and pulled me against him. He wrapped his arms completely around me holding me tightly.
"You know you're incredibly beautiful right?" He asked in a hushed voice.
I couldn't help the blush that crept up my face. With my messed up memory I had no idea if anyone had ever said anything like that to me before so it was like the first time.
"Thank you" I whispered.
One of his hands moved to grab my chin. He lifted my head slightly so I was looking at him. He smiled at me then slowly leaned closer. My heart started thumping in my chest. Do I let him do this? Do I want him to do this? Before I could decided his soft, warm lips found mine. This could possibly be my first kiss. He seemed like he knew what he was doing. I couldn't help relaxing into him. I kissed him back feeling my stomach swirling and flipping around. He turned us around and pushed me backwards until my back hit one of the trees. He pressed himself against me. His hands grabbing each side of my face. I felt his tongue skim my bottom lip. One of his hands was suddenly on my ass. He squeezed causing me to let out a small moan. He chuckled into the kiss then pushed his tongue into my mouth. It was an odd but good feeling. My tongue fought against his but he overcame me. He groaned when he started to grind his hips against mine.
My eyes flew open when I felt him rubbing against me. My hands pushed against his chest sending him stumbling backwards. I manged to grab him and keep him from falling.
"What was that for?" He asked with a hurt expression.
"Sorry Minho, the kiss was amazing but I'm not letting you go any farther." I said quietly but sternly.
He put his hands up in surrender. Without another word I made my way back to the homestead. I really needed some sleep.
