I've never done an ask before but i'm watching Princess and the Frog (as one does) and realizing i'm such a hopeless romantic again. But i also have really bad Twst brainrot so now i'm thinking about how Ace, Floyd, or Jade (or all 3 of it's not too much trouble?) might react to a hopeless romantic like me? I just think it'd be nice to see them thinking its funny at first, but after realizing how serious it actually is they'd make an effort to know what we actually like??? Idk though

3rd Anniversary Event - A Beast's Dream Fulfilled by Beauty - Clavis
Main route
Many people are gather in the only bookstore in Lelouch Kingdom, something Clavis had set up for Emma, for reading and writing lessons. On one particular day while Emma was giving lessons, a young boy approaches her and tells her of his dream to become a bureaucrat. He had heard that it's a rewarding job with a high salary and makes you popular with the ladies. Of course he heard it from Clavis.
Speak of the devil and he shall appear. His breath against Emma's ear causes her to jump.
Emma: Don't do that! You almost made my heart stop.
Clavis: My, that would be terrible. I should do something about it. Most fairytale princesses are cured with a kiss-
Emma: I'm good!
So why is Clavis at the bookstore? Well, wherever his fiancée is, he'll be there too. Though he pouts at how packed the store is. Emma says it's all thanks to him. The bookstore was like a place for people to start on working their way toward achieving their dreams. The boy tells Clavis that he'll become a bureaucrat for sure, so hire him when the time comes. Clavis replies that if the boy becomes someone amusing, he'll consider it. And then adds that he still has a ways to go if he only has one dream to fulfill. YOLO, it'd be a waste just just want to be a bureaucrat. Emma asks Clavis if he has a lot of dreams.
As a child, Clavis dreamt of being the best gentleman on the whole continent. He also thought about being a butler, becoming a chef and opening a restaurant, becoming a doctor, and even the only trap master out there. In the end, they all came true. Emma backs him up on that, well except for the part about becoming a chef.
Clavis: What do you think? I'm pretty amazing, aren't I? Have you fallen for me?
Emma: I've fallen deeply in love. Kyaa, Clavis is so cool.
Clavis: ...
Emma: I really respect you?
It's too embarrassing for Emma to put emotion into it. Clavis laughs as she turns her reddening face away. His tsun-tsun fiancée's as cute as ever.
The boy asks Clavis how he was able to make so many dreams come true. The answer's simple. He then suddenly wraps his arm around Emma's waist and asks the boy he knows (since she wouldn't look at him, he wanted to at least feel her body heat). As Emma protests because they're in public, the boy's like "yeah, yeah, you're in love. So explain." Is Emma the only one flustered here??? Apparently so because everyone else in the store's treating this as something that happens all the time. Emma just settles in his arms.
Clavis tells the boy that he needs to take action now. Need to figure out how to achieve the dream. If he procrastinates on it, it'll just remain a dream. But it's fine to just start off small and build his way up.
Clavis sounds so cool, but why does he look so sad? Hearing his words, the boy resolves to study a lot. Emma's a bit taken aback, but will do her best to help. And may rope Clavis in too since he's here. He agrees to it, for a fee, and finally lets Emma go. Everyone in the store applauds. But Emma can't get that expression on Clavis' face out of her head.
That night, Emma and Clavis are taking a bath together. The former asks if this is the fee for earlier. Yep. It's not often that she takes baths with Clavis. Emma wonders if this is something lovers normally do. She asks him to stop his roaming hands or else she'll overheat. He jokes about taking care of her if she does, but being the gentleman that he is, stops touching her. But now it's a little too quiet for Emma. She asks Clavis if there's something on his mind because he looked sad back at the bookstore. Clavis tells Emma that he was just remembering some things. He still has some dreams that are unfulfilled.
He'd like to:
Wash Emma's hair and body, and make her shine with his own hands
Have a portrait of her done and hang it in the bedroom
Change how they say "good night" to each other. Say "I love you" instead (aishiteru)
Travel the world together
It'll be hard to fulfil these dreams with such a tsun-tsun fiancée, even if she's been more dere-dere recently. Maybe they'll start with the first on the list - Emma turns that down. She'd die of embarrassment. Then how about the portrait? She makes a face but Clavis will get his way eventually. He blows a breath against her ear.
Emma: I told you, no roaming hands!
Clavis: I'm not touching you, though
Emma: No breathing either.
Clavis: You want me to stop breathing?
After much teasing, Emma gives in and agrees to have her portrait done. She mentally prepares herself for tomorrow, still wondering about that sad look.

Cyril's there to provide moral support as she gets her portrait done. Clavis asks the painter to make sure he gets her shy expression down.

It's time for the two to say "good night" to each other. Emma asks if they really have to, but Clavis is practically beaming at her. She did say that she'd help achieve his dreams. Emma asks if "I like you a lot" (daisuki) is okay. Nope, he wants the aishiteru. He says it to Emma. The sweetness of the words is too much for her and she hides under the blanket. After calming down a bit, she peeks up at him and stutters the words out. This will be how they say "good night" to each other from now on.

The two visit Jade, which has a close relationship with Lelouch Kingdom, for personal reasons rather than on official business. Clavis bought Jade's famous "all-purpose iced herbal tea somehow packed with all sorts of benefits" and they relax on a bench in town. As Emma sips on the delicious tea, Clavis tells her about how their teas taste different. Emma asks if him if he wants a taste of hers and holds her glass out to him. In return, he'll let her taste his. Was this the kind of lovey-dovey acts he was talking about wanting to do? While her tea was sweet, his was refreshing.
His dreams are being fulfilled, one by one. But Emma's STILL thinking about that sad look. Emma brings what Clavis had said earlier about making his dreams come true as soon as possible. So why didn't he do these things before? She's not taking his answer about being in the mood. Clavis continues to dodge the question by talking about how good the tea is. Emma just continues to look at him until he surrenders.
Though he has many dreams, there's one that he can't make come true, and it's something that he still worries over.

I saw people talk about their Zero Time Dilemma fixes around the tag so I thought I'd dump in my convo on the topic too (With shout-out to @oriko-magicas's galaxy brain read on Akane and Junpei)
Absolute wall of text below.

I'm having trouble finding it, but there was a post talking about Akane and Junpei in Zero Time Dilemma that I really liked the interpretation of
It's essentially talking about how Akane don't want anything but the perfect future with Junpei. She went through so much and spend so long aiming for fhe one needle hole solution to live that she can't settle for anything but her ideal fantasy ending anymore.
Meanwhile Junpei still experiences time the way it normally goes and he was burned by 999. He knows things will never be the same cause THEY'RE not the same, but he's willing to work with that to stay with her
And I think it's a super thematic read, especially when you consider their VLR attitudes

I think Junpei's attitude would make a lot more sense if the assholery was played up when Akane acts like he should still be the same like he was before 999. Or like the world could be how they saw it before then.
It'd underline the dynamic better of "I need you to be the person I cried out to back then" and he's like "I love you but you literally made that impossible"
… paired up with Carlos like "I am begging you to just talk"
Carlos: you are both cute and valid but I NEED you to communicate

I think maybe part of it is that Junpei's jaded asshole net is thrown a bit wide. 'cause on one hand it is like he's upset at Akane for 999 and part of it is like he's upset that she acts like he should be the same after that, but then there's also all the shit that he went through since then and it feels like he blames her for that as well
He's been through a lot in what has somehow just been one year and it feels like, perhaps fitting for someone who has also become an alcoholic, he's looking to put the blame for it all on someone

Also I've been thinking, and I think there's an easy fix to the stupid "complex motives" crap. And a lot of Delta honestly

The whole frame he jeeps setting up with the snail. It's all about a series of small butterfly effects that cause an extremely specific outcome. That's what he wants to do too, same as the other zeroes, but he has one particular handicap: he can't shift or read timelines. He won't just know how to make the bricks fall to get the exact outcome he wants.
But if he could gather enough shifters, he could read their hopping around through their minds. Because resonance would make the memories clearer.
So he sets up the game that can only be completed by getting the exact result he wants and then introduces the piranha - Mira - to the equation to ensure it won't be a dead end stalemate
Then in the end he can explain that yes, his motives are complex. Because the solution to save 8 billion without killing 6 billion is a hairline precise set of circumstances that he wouldn't be able to figure out what is naturally. So he had to make them create it.
He had to make them all resonate to read them and make them all resonate to give them all awakened shifter powers for the future and to read at all.
Furthermore I would play up his narcissism. The smugness of his own intelligence being double edged to believing he has to cause this himself because he's the only one who can.
A staunch belief that he HAS to be what causes the bricks to fall as they should.
And it'd make his point of "but I didn't do anything in this timeline. Everyone is prepped and noone is dead" more valid.
Because he doesn't shift. He doesn't emotionally register all the timelines he massacred to get this one. He only know the actions that caused his personal outcome as a list of checked boxes checked off through their memories

Furthermore, there could be another reason why he has to be the one triggering these events.
I was super annoyed that it was like "Oh so now free the soul isn't enough. We need another terrorist group with a world ending leader. And what was the left thing about?"
Well what if its not a separate terrorist group.
What if the religious fanatic he's talking about is himself, transported forward in time. A younger version of himself is ending the world to create the ideal existence Dio was talking about.
But the Delta who arrived in the original way back when doesn't shift. He has to live all those years. He meets interesting being like Sean that makes him realize that the differences between people makes for various choices that makes life beautiful.
So now he has to find a way to out-checkmate himself to stop himself. How? Prep a group of people capable of doing what he can't to try and outsmart him. And set up a winning condition entirely set on being able to do that.

because yeah I think definitely the weakest part of this outcome is that it doesn't really solve the problem that he set out to solve
"You're all really motivated now!" oh so… what they wouldn't have tried to stop a terrorist attack if he hadn't made them all kill each other? the heck is that
also, yeah I was going to ask you about that at some point. like, he doesn't mention Left at all in ZTD and I was confused if Sean was supposed to be related

I don't think so. Because he was an old man when he met Sean in the hospital.
But I think he was fascinated by Sean's approach to life
And maybe made him consider that something could be beautiful outside of Left

this man just goin around creating marvels of science to preserve dead little boys

I'm thinking part of it is also like
Solving the conundrum of giving him whatever he wanted.
He has his dreams of the future. He can give him that. But he's not in despair of having to die before that reality. So he gives ukm the option of death too
By just giving him the option at all, he's ensured both will happen somewhere
Thus the ideal outcome of how he can have both comes true
Lastly, Mira's ending.
I think they should have empathised more that she became a killer to understand experiencing emotions instead of just pretending them. She chases Eric because she thinks she wants to feel that rush again, but her connection with Sean could show her something different. That either through resonance she could experience emotions through others OR that you can still essentially be human even if you're only able to "simulate" having those emotions,m like a robot does.
Me:
Meanwhile Sean both wants better for and cannot forgive Mira for her crimes. But thanks to the choice with the bad and happy ends, he has an answer for how to both make Mira live with her crimes and ensure a future where it doesn't happen. By creating a split timeline where she goes back and stops her crimes from being committed.
In this case, the original Mira would still know and have to live with what she did. But I'm one tjmeline a young Mira never becomes the heart ripper and the crimes are undone.
The sins are therefore both being punished and remembered for happenjng and erased to begjn with at the same time.

you know what I like that one. that's a good way of interpreting it, especially with the way the transporter works
also, doubly digging this idea. Mira being shown this robot child who either somehow experiences emotion or at the very least simulates it in such a way what it fools everyone (and also is capable of calling her out on her own emotional mistakes) should have so much more of an impact on her

Like I genuinely think you could fix this game either a few tweaks

also I'm not sure what the amnesia element really did for it?
I guess it was to confuse the SHIFTers so they wouldn't know they had already SHIFTed but to what end?

It might be to confused the computer. Keep it from figuring out its not the real Sean too fast
If it remembers being Sean it'd be easy to compression and contrast all the things that Sean definitely couldn't do or know and reach the conclution
If it doesn't remember being Sean, there's nothing to compare any contradictions to. It can only just assume that the reasons are things it can't remember
Also, if the computer ONLY has Eric and Mira, it makes it more incentives to latch onto them and care about their situations, despite them both being monsters in their own right

The Carlos thing
Rather than just "I couldn't have met you guys" you could do:
1) in order to fix this we need phi and Sigma here. That means we need a timeline where Akane and Junpei escape but don't stop Zero or the radical-6 outbreak. So he breaks in to bust them out.
2) they need the timeline where Delta gives them answers. Meaning they need a timeline where Zero "wins". So he can't interfere.
3) split worlds principle. By just introducing the choice to stop zero's plans or not, he's creates both options. This is the world where he doesn't stop Zero. But because he comes pre-packadged with the knowledge of what's gonna happen, he can still tale actions to secure the timeline that'll allow for them all to stop zero
So there is a timeline where he stops Delta before DCOM, but because of the anthropic principle (there must be a perciever for the option to be percieved) Akane and Junpei never see it because they never had to go through the game. They only percieve the option where Carlos didn't stop Delta in time

The thematic relevance of "but then I couldn't have met you guys" can actually be valid if you flip it around.

Because of Carlos, Akane can come to terms with the changes in Junpei and see the validity in the "broken" futures by showing there's things worth remembering even in the imperfect ones. Like the argument Junpei makes at the end of VLR, the relationships after the disasters still mean something to the survivors.
And Carlos helps Junpei realize there's still fundamentally good people in the world and come to terms with Akane and what she did and who she is now.
By inserting Carlos they're able to help mend their relationship. And if Carlos never met them because the DCOM experiment didn't go down like it did, their relationship wouldn't have been mended either
They'd still just end up like how they did at the end of VLR. Essentially dead to each other
"You're not who I thought you were, goodbye"

it certainly seems like by this game they were never really going to be able to talk it over on their own

If Carlos never met THEM, he'd never realize the cause of the reverie syndrome to save Maria

I think it could be cool if the they worked her more into Carlos and his abilities tbh
Let's think back to the 999 lore
The idea of the Sender and Receiver
If Maria was the "sender", she could have gone into reverie when she was stuck in the fire, trying to save herself and her family. She continues to be stuck in reverie because she keeps simulating how to a) save her family totally and b) save Carlos from all his other eventual dooms
The problem with saving her family is that there is a huge world crisis going down soon that's gonna wipe out most of humanity anyway!
So?
Make sure Carlos goes to DCOM to save her and have her essentially be a satellite quantum simulator to feed Carlos his insights
And through that also learn from Akane and Junpei or just the experience itself that either the timeline where their parents was also saved still exists but isn't percievable
Or come to terms with their death by still having Carlos that survives both DCOM and the would-be apocalypse
And thus be able to lay the endless simulations to rest and wake up
(With the added cute twist that she already knows Akane and Junpei and their relationship with her brother when she wakes up. Thus why she's so invested in it in the epilogue)

though I wonder if they'd be able to still use those abilities after she wakes up in that case

I'm guessing it'd just go back to working like it did in 999. Carlos himself might be able to do it on his own from longtime exposure too, who knows.

gonna go on a little mini tangent about nimona movie adaptation. it's gonna include lots of spoilers for the graphic novel so if you haven't read it yet (and you should!!) you can just scroll past spoiler free <3 anyways,
first off i am SO fucking pumped up about the nimona movie this is doing things to my middle school heart you have no idea <3 <3 <3 they're definitely branding it in the area of that kind of edgy but family friendly movie vibe that's been popular with certain projects lately (low key some parts of the trailer were giving me mitchells versus the machines while others were giving me the same energy as the bad guys, which is an interesting mix imo they're both good animated movies from the recent past but at the same time they're both tonally different in many ways not to mention very different tonally from the original nimona comic imo) and basically where i'm going with this is i hope they keep the original tone of the comic. the graphic novel does a really great job of shifting between lighthearted comedy and the complex emotions of the characters really well, especially with the twist at the end where we find out that nimona has been lying about her past the entire time (OGH that ending is SO GOOD it gives me chills just remembering the panel where we find out the story about the dragonslayer going after the shapeshifter and the rumors that the shapeshifter TOOK THE DRAGONSLAYERS PLACE??? AUGH those panels are burned into my mind forever). basically i am a little worried because of the marketing that they might soften the darkness associated with nimona's past/backstory or even change it entirely, but of course that's all speculation bc they could literally just be doing what the comic did which was market itself as really upbeat and silly modern fairytale twist and then turn around and make everything really fucking dark as the novel approaches the end of the second act and the beginning of the first act.
also when it comes to the character designs i am OBSESSED with blackheart and goldenloin the designs are SO!!!! not to mention the setting itself, they're definitely leaning into the futuristic aspect but i hope they keep a lot of the down to earth fantasy elements from the comic as well, i feel like nate did a really great job creating a world that is such a unique blend of ren fair fantasy tropes (for lack of a better term) and magical high tech inventions and it's something that i really hope doesn't get lost in the translation to the screen. obviously i can imagine that the show-y-ness of a cyberpunk-esque world is very visually appealing and also probably pretty fun to animate but i'm hoping they're teasing a lot of those dystopian sci fi visuals for the trailer because they get ppls attention and then they bring in a similar mix of the ren fair fantasy elements from the comic.
i hope they maintain nimona's whole gender vibe as the same sort of fluid energy that i got from her in the book, idk if it was just me but nimona reads as not only gnc but as a very nonbinary/genderfluid character and i always thought it was really cool how ready she was to shapeshift to different gender presentations in the comic.
this is more just on the curious musings side but i also wonder if they'll do the little bit where she dyes her hair purple?? its such a weird little moment in the comic i could see them deciding not to put it on screen but i think it'd be a cute nod to the book. or maybe they do a little bit of dialogue where she mentions to blackheart that she's thinking about changing her hair color and mentions purple, it'd just be cute i think <3
uhhh yeah i guess my biggest wonder about the movie rn is just how dark they're willing to take it, tonally? because the book gets DARK and ofc it's also aimed kinda at middle grade, just like the movie is, but what's allowed in middle grade books is very different from what's marketable in a middle grade family friend film. i really do hope they do the whole dark underbelly of the kingdom reveal, though, and the second act arc where nimona's true violent and chaotic nature starts to spiral out of ballister's control, and of course the unethical experimentation and the legend of the shapeshifter and nimona's entire story to ballister being a lie.....
AUGH i am going to get so emotional about this movie but yeah <3
basically. NIMONA MOVIE AT LAST!!!!!!!!!!

Jade, my love, I don't even know where to start… But let's say I get it now, why you had to make sure and were trying to post the most perfect version of this chapter. What I was expecting for this chapter wasn't what I thought it'd be, but it was so much more and even better than whatever I was imagining and theorizing it to be. I came with the mentality that it was going to be such a sad chapter, when you posted the snippet for this chapter in my mind I was like “OMG, she is going back to Daejon, he will go to get her back, or maybe he's going show at her doorstep”, I'm happy with the outcome and how you executed it, but a bit sad 'cus I was excited to the possibility of having the townsfolk back in the story. Like, my bias is Minho, so logically in almost every SKZ fan fiction he's my favorite character no matter what, but in this series for obvious reasons, he isn't. I have missed him so badly for a while now in this story.
Anyway, cannot wait for when you'll bring the Daejon people back into the story.
Back to the topic at hand, this part felt so magical even with the present somber tone and coloring the story has. I love how you have made a tangible correlation between the emotions and feelings of both main characters with the seasons: summer was so warm and a fairytale-like dream and Hyunjin and YN felt just like that, a dream, and then we have autumn and winter, being just a constant feeling of dread and sadness until this point in the story. Then you came and changed the game completely and made winter warm. This chapter is just proof that your writing is just art in words.
I was just so pleased to read about Hyunjin taking this “fuck-this-all” position, he, now, knows what it is to lose YN somehow. So him rushing back to her at the lowest moment of her life was so fucking good to read. Just a few words and his mannerisms gave him away how fucking much he dreads to lose her. A great part of this part, you can just feel how distressed he is, even from her perspective. And loved the banter, her petty responses to him, she, trying to reply to him like the baddest bitch way known to man (even tho, we know she's just a cutie patootie). That was something I was hoping you could put in this story. Like, we have as a reference that you can do just that (Only Fools, I'm talking about you). Here, as well, they're just two fools in love. Something I adored so much in this chapter was my cute little YN, she's a character and a girl that we could select to have a personality. I would choose hers in a heartbeat. I know it sounds ridiculous, but at some point, she was just so pure, I think that's the word to describe her. Likewise, I just couldn't imagine her feeling sad. Despite that the feeling has always been in the back of the story, the whole setting even back in Daejon, with all the magic and beautiful landscapes and the happiness, the angst was there.
Talking about Hyunjin, again, my pretty boy, you deemed yourself this chapter. My pretty boy is just the definition of love. I just love him so much, even when he has frustrated the shit out of me in this series. Everything he said and did in this part is just so memorable. There are so many things I would want to point out about him, but that would mean I'll write a whole-ass essay, but it would take me an entire month to write it with my B-something-knockoff English. However, I just wanted to say that this Hyunjin is the best Hyunjin ever written, no Hyunjin ever could beat this fictional Hyunjin (well maybe another of yours). He's just comparable to the real one. I don't know how you managed to create a character so similar to what I've always imagined irl Hyunjin to be. He's just such a passionate and gorgeous boy, and his soul and words are one of the closest things to the perfect man (I mean, all of the kids are). As always, I'll patiently wait for the next part. You don't know how conflicted I feel thinking that the end is getting closer, but at the same time, I just want to see my Hyunyn being happy and the couple they deserve to be, just two people in love with each other. This couple is just perfect for each other. I'll go back to re-read this part as soon as possible. Love you, Jade, so much, for this story, and for sharing your art with us. I think this was just a vomit of words but I’m still so star struck and all over the place by the end of the chapter.

I did not expect to like this game as much as I did omg. I saw a lot of criticism, and while valid, the game is still very very very fun. (Tbf it'd be pretty hard to mess up a Pokemon game though!!)
Honestly, this might be one of my favorite storylines out of any Pokemon game? I've played through most of the Pokemon games (except Coliseum, Snap, Legends Arceus) + only got through half of SwSh and SuMo, but I know what happens in the Gen 7 and 8 storylines. BW/BW2's storyline was more consistent in terms of quality (SV has higher highs and lower lows imo), and Pokemon Mystery Dungeon is amazing too, but it follows predictable patterns and its main strength lies in its characterization rather than its actual plot. I haven't played Legends Arceus yet so that's still up in the air (though I hear it's good!)
I really enjoyed the reveal that the Professor Turo we knew was actually an AI, and exploring the Great Crater with our friends from school was so endearing and fun. The Great Crater itself looked incredible -- the design and the music really contributed to its otherworldly ambiance. Even reading the Violet Book made me really excited -- but then again, I've always been a sucker for stories of adventure. I would kill to have a Made in Abyss style anime of Heath's expedition into the Crater...
The characters in this game feel really alive, too -- Pokemon games have definitely stepped up their game in that regard. I liked Nemona the most (and how self-aware, yet incorrigible she is lol), and most of the teachers. ❤️
Miriam is such a sweetheart, and Hassel's sobbing whenever he was proud of us was so cute haha. Salvatore didn't speak to me as much, but I enjoyed his mini-storyline of befriending a Pokemon that didn't really speak, and him being completely understanding (as a languages teacher) that sometimes you don't need to speak the same language, or even a language to communicate with others around you. His entire character is such a vibe, too?? He's so happy and upbeat, and his advice about trying to learn the languages of places you go to and complimenting other people (especially their culture, food, etc.) is so real. Miriam being motivated by our dedication in the Treasure Hunt to pursue her own certification was sweet, I've definitely felt that way before as well (being motivated by the efforts of others, that is. ;o;)
Raifort I didn't connect to as much, but I appreciate her zealousness towards history. Her overall personality was pretty fun. xD I really really did enjoy the story about the ruinous treasure Pokemon, though -- one of my favorite (if not favorite) legendary Pokemon stories now. I've always loved fairytale-esque stories, and the designs of these Pokemon (especially Chien Pao and Chi Yu) are amazing. Their battle music is one of the best things I've ever listened to, so there's that too. xD
NPC designs have also stepped up (Grusha and Rika are so hot LOL), but player customization has taken a step back which was very disappointing to find out. And much as I loved Pokemon ScarVio overall, I do understand where a lot of the grievances people had came from.
I don't consider myself a genwunner (far from it lol) but many of the new Pokemon designs just felt... lacking? Like beta designs. Flamigo, Tandemaus, Palafin, Pawmot. Some of these are probably just personal preference so I won't harp on this too much, but eh.
Arven's storyline also didn't speak to me as much but that also just kind comes down to personal preference.
Something I also didn't like as much was the Team Star storyline -- it felt kind of contrived, and like it was really trying to make us feel bad for the area leaders. I also didn't care for Penny that much, although her interactions in the Great Crater area made up for it.
I would've rather we had a proper villainous team this generation instead of getting Team Star, but I guess then it would've been weird if the school let us run around the country lol.
Because run around the country we did... from top to bottom, for those f**king ominous stakes. They couldn't have made them show up on the map either (unless there's a function I missed. Which if that is the case let me live in ignorance aaaaaaaah I'll legit start foaming at the mouth if it turns out I just needed to turn something on). The idea of the stakes sealing these ruinous Pokemon's powers is alright, it's just annoying to have to scramble down cliffs and valleys to find 32 of these things.
As much as I do like the Great Crater part of the storyline, I wish it was more ingrained with everything else. The gym challenges, Team Star, the herba mystica... I mean, it was technically ingrained in the sense that you need to help your rivals out with their issues so they can accompany you into the crater, but there should've been more story significance tying everything together.
I also would've appreciated some sidequests in the Pokemon world. Coming from Genshin, I'm kind of spoiled in that regard (the world is soooo chock-full of events and quests and areas to explore). While Paldea doesn't really need that many quests and hidden areas (it's gotten to the point where exploration is kind of exhausting in Genshin lol), more would've been nice.
Environmental storytelling almost always hits, and it could've been a nice way to talk about the issues invasive species pose (basically our reason for shutting down the time machine) and in turn, connect things to the main storyline as well. For example, Barraskewda's Violet Pokedex entry mentions that it completes with Palafin for food -- what if Barraskewda wasn't native to Paldea, and just hitched a ride from Galar? We could have had a sidequest to curb the Barraskewda population to help the native Palafin population recover. That's just one example, too. What about the giant Iron Treads in the desert, or the rolling boulders dropped by Bombirdier? That things had to have caused some collateral damage, and it would have been cool to get quests to help the Pokemon or people in the area recover.
Paldea's open world was very beautiful and fun to explore, but it was also really... empty. I hope that in a future iteration of games, these kinds of sidequests can be added. The addition of them would really help make the world feel more alive.
And while I do really like ScarVio's story, its execution could have been a lot better than it was. But despite all the game's flaws, it was still incredibly fun ,and surprisingly touching. :') I am very extremely excited for the eventual DLC that will hopefully give us a glimpse of that hexagonal Pokemon, and more story content of the main four. 🥺🥺🥺

28. Would they prefer a lie over an unpleasant truth?
Coraleye definitely loves the idea of living a fairytale life with no issues, but she values honesty and open communication tremendously. So while she might initially be hurt by an unpleasant truth, she'd ultimately prefer that over being left in the dark.
30. Who do they most regret meeting?
....Out of the ones she's aware of so far? It's probably gotta be Morgyn Ember. She's bent over backwards for them, and the betrayal she feels after their infidelity is extremely hard for her to grapple with, and has left emotional scars to this day. She understands that there were powers at hand that were out of their control to some extent, but looking back on it, she just feels ridiculous that she allowed someone to take hold of her heart like that and believes it'd be better if she'd have never gotten involved with them in the first place.
38. What memory do they revisit the most often?
There are a few moments that she holds close, one probably being the time she was in Sulani, crying about a boy or something, and was approached by a woman, who comforted her and held her while she cried. She believes this might have been the ghost of her great-grandmother, Agnes Darling. That memory can be seen here
The other, is when her family was reunited with Kirsten and Seymour. They've been away in Tres Lagos raising their own youngest child, Sage and finally moved to Strangerville, which was in their universe, making them accessible to their family once again.
B) What inspired you to create them?
Coraleye was born as opposed to being created, so she kinda just... happened. But her personality has definitely been shaped by the Darling elders who came before her. She's a little hodge-podge of all her older relatives, even her brothers! Which is probably why she's my favorite. She's a walking homage to My Darling, really 😭💘
G)What trait of theirs bothers you the most?
Coraleye's innocence and naivety can be so endearing and cute at times, but a lot of times it can leave her vulnerable to manipulation or hurt and it puts her at a high risk of being taken advantage of. Because of this, she also is completely oblivious to when she's coming across as flirtatious or leading someone on, and although her intentions are always pure and usually platonic, it leads to many unrequited crushes and romances. This can be tough to write, and as a simmer, play 😄
H) What trait do you admire most?
I think her being a family sim is the cutest thing ever 🥺 She has a unique relationship with each member of her family and extended family (and believe me that's a lot of Darlings!) She loves babies, and most of the time, if I'm playing another relative's household she'll pop-up uninvited to help out. She's also always so eager to hear stories about her family's history, and the more details the better. She really is the best choice for the heir!

Better than the movies is about a hopeless romantic Liz, who tries to ensure a happily-ever-after moment with her longtime crush, but instead finds herself captivated by the lad next door.
I can definitely see why a lot of people will really enjoy this. You have rivals to lovers, a practically perfect love interest and a quirky protagonist. I did like a lot of this because of how utterly adorable it ended up being (also the fact that Liz took his last name and literally became "Elizabeth Bennet" made me insanely happy). But I also understand why people might not like this. Liz is really flawed in a teenage way if that makes sense. I found her to be a little selfish and rude and while I do understand that her situation with her mother was really hard for her, I feel like she was too oblivious to others around her. On that note, Liz does eventually realize all her flaws, but the process of acknowledging them feels rushed at the end of the story. I wish it was a bit more spaced out. I also wish we got a few more moments of Liz doing nice things for Wes because their relationship ended up feeling really imbalanced.
Talking about him... I'm obsessed with Wes, he was just something from fairytales. I was rooting for him from the start and he carried the whole book. I really hoped that we were able to have at least one of Wes’ POV, since it's only told in Liz’s.
I loved the references to romance rom coms everywhere in the book. The addition of a quote from a romcom at the start of every chapter was so cute, and a very nice touch. There's even a playlist at the end that goes with the story of the characters!
In conclusion, I think this book would be PERFECT as a netflix romcom or disney channel original movie (it'd fall into the same category as to all the boys i've loved before and geek charming). It has all the ingredients to be a comfort movie.

the rest of the killers. I haven't really made any progress on any of them but the inspiration for the fantasy au was my love for fairytale-like stories and how dark they can be (like the Grimm brother's tales or etc). so I mostly put characters in who would most likely fit in a fairytale au. the huntress is one of them since her story sounds like a folklore story. the wraith was once a human but he reincarnated into a spirit of a magic forest. the trapper was the son of the Macmillan house in a different kingdom (perhaps the richter kingdom). so coming up with a role for herman is hard since he's all electric but I feel like he would be a doctor while he would invent some punishments or execution devices (I got inspired by the fact that a dentist was the one who invented the electric chair).
now onto the fun stuff Julie x Frank. they had multiple fun adventures together with Susie and Joey. they travelled to many places, stole valuables and sold them on the black market, sometimes Danny and Amanda would visit them, and at one point I feel like they settled to live in a nice village, built their own cottage and started their own mini farm :). they did attend a masquerade ball and Frank cried about how pretty Julie was and they had a fun night. while they were still in the Kostenko kingdom Julie and Frank shared Julie's bed (they didn't do anything, just to clarify). sometimes they would do some silly roleplays together where they make fun of those fairytale stories. onetime when they were doing it some guy actually thought Julie was in danger and tried to "save" her by pulling her away from Frank and running away from him. she got pissed off and told the man that she was fine and that she was only pretending however the man didn't believe her so she just punched him in the nose and walked off with frank.
alright now onto the angst stuff. basically, the whole group got caught because somebody snitched on them (it was Meg) so they were all brought back to the kostenko kingdom. since Frank had committed the crime of "kidnapping" a royal family member he was publicly executed, Joey and Susie weren't allowed to be with Julie alone anymore and they rarely see her Julie was forced to marry somebody she didn't like and was kept on watch 24/7. so basically Julie's life became very miserable, she was forced to watch the love of her life die right in front of her, she rarely gets to spend time with her friends and she was forced to be around somebody she hates :(.
YEAHHHHHH HUNTRESSS!!!!!! On god it'd be so fucking funny if the Leg ever interacted with her, just big scary lady with hatchet living in the woods that would immediately befriend (or surprise adopt) Julie and Susie 🙏 Also that's honestly exactly what I was thinking Doc would be all about as well! He'd defo be into that like, torture/punishment/execution bullshit, just utilizes electricity like he normally does !

ꟷ Of course, make yourself at home. ꟷ you smiled. ꟷ You know where the kitchen is. Check the fridge, I guess there’s some sandwiches. You can have them.
ꟷ Oh, (Y/N)-swan, you look so beautiful! You look like a goddess, a masterpiece! My eyes feel so blessed for being able to see you! ꟷ Sanji said, kneeling in front of you and holding your hand, only to be punched in the head by Zoro.
ꟷ Thank you, Sanji. But I’m not ready yet. I’ll go upstairs so me and the girls can finish changing. We’ll be back in a few. You can watch TV or eating something while you wait. ꟷ you smiled, heading upstairs.
ꟷ Oi, why did you kick me, moss head? ꟷ the blonde yelled.
ꟷ Because you’re flirting with my date! Stay away from her, you perv!
Robin, Nami and Vivi were ready, wearing their long dresses. They looked stunning and majestic They were already beautiful, but tonight it looked like they were from a fairytale.
You chose a (F/C) dress, it was side slit, so you were showing a bit of your leg, but not too much. Just very subtle. You wore a simple necklace, and had a bit of makeup on. Since it wasn’t the prom, you didn’t want to look too fancy or anything.
ꟷ Zoro is gonna love it! ꟷ the girls said, stunned. It made you blush. ꟷ You look beautiful.
They went downstairs first. For some reason, they thought it was a good idea to build a suspense. You thought it was stupid, but waited anyways.
Zoro was impatient, curious to see how you were looking, even though he knew you’d look beautiful anyway.
And there you were, walking downstairs in a hurry, noticing you were almost late. You started blushing when you noticed all your friends staring at you.
ꟷ What? What are you looking at? ꟷ you asked. They didn’t stop staring though. ꟷ Come on, fools, we’re gonna be late.
Everyone left, the girls heading to Nami’s car, and the boys heading to Sanji’s car. But not before Zoro whispered “you look beautiful” while you were locking the front door. You didn’t know how to react, but you didn’t have the chance to answer. When you turned around, the green haired man was already sitting in the front seat of the blonde’s car.
You arrived in time. The only students there were the ones who helped with the project, so not many people yet. Surprisingly everything was going as planned. No delays and nothing went wrong.
ꟷ Quit worrying. ꟷ you felt a hand touch your shoulder while you were looking at the gym all decorated with roses, hearts and pink and red balloons. ꟷ Everything looks perfect. We did a good job. Well, you did most of the job, actually.
You turned around only to see Zoro giving you a reassuring smile. Damn, he sure looks handsome. It was unusual seeing him dressed up, but he looked good. Way too good.
You probably stared at him for too long, since he started blushing as much as you were.
More people started to arrive and the romantic playlist started playing, but Brook paused it so Sabo could hear some of the love notes that admirers left inside a small box placed by the gym door.
ꟷ This one is for Nico Robin, from a secret admirer. ꟷ he started. Everyone started staring at the girl. ꟷ “You look beautiful in that purple dress. You’re so smart and kind. I’ve been trying to talk to you since the first day of school this year”.
He got another note, read it and widened his eyes right before smiling.
ꟷ This one is for (Y/N) (L/N). ꟷ you froze. Who sent it? What did it say? Why Sabo looked surprised? ꟷ “I started liking you more than I expected to in the past few days, even when you’re being bossy. I hope you got the hint you’ve been waiting for, woman.”
You definitely did, and now you understood why your friend seemed surprised.
You looked at Zoro, who was right next to you, probably waiting for a reaction.
ꟷ Was it… You? ꟷ you whispered. The music started playing again.
He nodded.
ꟷ The first one, the second one… And this one, obviously. ꟷ he said, feeling stupid as if he made a mistake. ꟷ I’m sorry if you’re embarrassed, I thought it was a good idea to do this, as a surprise. I’m sorry…
You didn’t let him finish his sentence. You wrapped your arms around him, snuggling against his chest, turning Zoro’s cheeks into a bright shade of red.
ꟷ This is the best thing someone did for me. ꟷ you smiled. ꟷ Thank you, it was so sweet.
For a few minutes, he didn’t know what to say. Instead, he just held you, resting his chin on your head.
ꟷ So, after the party, like, tomorrow… Do you want to go out? As a date, not as friends. Well, I guess it’s obvious it’s not just as friends. ꟷ he broke the silence, sounding nervous. He never asked someone out before. It seemed harder than expected.
ꟷ I’d love to.
You spent the night eating, dancing and talking to your friends.
When some slow songs started playing, you decided to sit for a while and rest.
ꟷ Hey, what do you think you’re doing? ꟷ your date asked you.
ꟷ I’m… Sitting and having a snack?
ꟷ Aren’t you gonna dance this slow song with me? I thought this was part of the whole romantic party pack.
ꟷ And do you know how to dance?
ꟷ No. But I can try to, if you want.
You held his hand and headed to the dance floor, surrounded by many other couples, and even friends who were dancing together just because.
He was right, he didn’t know how to dance, but he could move from left to right perfectly, with his hands holding your hips, and your arms wrapped around his neck. It felt good being so close to him.
It was already late when you left the party. Everyone already left, except the green haired guy, who insisted on walking you home to be sure you’d be safe.
ꟷ So, tomorrow at 4 PM is good for you? ꟷ he asked, stopping in front of your house.
ꟷ Yes, it’s perfect. And thank you, Zoro.

ꟷ For being my date, for the love notes… Well, thank you for this night.
ꟷ Believe it or not, I had a great time too. Thank you for being my date. ꟷ he kissed the top of your head. ꟷ Goodnight.
Right when he was about to turn to make his way home, you pulled his arm, bringing him closer to you. It was a simple gesture, but it took all of your courage to give him a peck on his lips.
ꟷ Goodnight, moss head. ꟷ you smiled and entered your house before he could react.
That night was so exciting you couldn’t even sleep yet. So you took your shoes off and laid on your couch.
All you could think was that maybe Valentine’s Day wasn’t so bad.

"Ew, look at this." You hand the dusty old photo album to Beomgyu who's sprawled across the floor by your side.
"Wait—" He stops you, rolling away before letting out a sneeze so loud that it managed to echo off the dusty untouched walls of his old room. The poor guy couldn't help it, his room hadn't been cleaned since he moved out in the middle of high school, and his mom preferred to keep things as they were— dust and all. You wonder if it was simply an excuse to clean one less room.
Beomgyu did say he had dropped in yesterday without notice. You'd think he'd want to spend some quality time with his parents first, but he'd decided to invite you over after spending a single night under this roof. Having heard nothing but radio silence from your best friend in years, you were thrilled to get to see him again. And what better way to shed off the ever present awkwardness in the beginning than to go through old photo albums?
"Okay, show me." Beomgyu rolls back to your side, scooting in closer to rest his head on your lap.
You turn the photo album, pointing at one photo in particular of you and Beomgyu dressed as a knight and damsel in distress— Beomgyu playing the role of the latter. Contrary to the roles, you were pummeling Beomgyu to the ground as if having caught a thief, and Beomgyu was shoving his handkerchief to your face, blocking your eyesight. The context behind the photograph alludes you, but this might just be a case of seven-year-olds doing whatever they want whenever.
"The fuck you mean ew? I look great in that dress!" Frowning, Beomgyu grabs the album to stare longer at his past self's glory.
"Lying to yourself isn't good for you, Gyu." You jokingly disapprove. It was fun seeing his reactions right after.
"Oh, look at these."
Beomgyu points at a photo of you and him on stage, wearing the same costumes as before. You figured it was for a play back in first grade when you two had been classmates. The next series of photos included one of you holding out a sword towards a kid in a cheap dragon costume, one of Beomgyu holding back his tears after tripping over and ripping his dress, and ones of you rushing to Beomgyu and kissing away his tears.
"This takes me back." Beomgyu lights up with a smile, failing to notice the surprise on your face. "Remember when your mom made us believe that kissing any injuries we had would make it go away? I knew you wanted to help me back then but I couldn't stop crying and tell you were it hurt, so you started kissing all over my face hoping it'd go away."
You find yourself laughing at your past self's foolishness. "But did it work?" You ask in between laughs.
"Well," Beomgyu chuckles, getting up from his position on your lap. "I don't think it would've worked if another person had done it. But since it was you— Wait." He takes one last look at the album, letting slip a wheeze before placing it back in its box. "Mom wrote something right below the photo."
"What did she write?" You ask, holding out your hands for Beomgyu to grab.
"A fairy tale with a happy ending always brings a smile to my face." Beomgyu tells you as he helps you up, trying his best to keep a straight face after delivering that line.
The two of you burst into laughter at his mother's words. You knew she'd been fond of fairy tales all her life but the caption was taking you out. Beomgyu was literally crying in the photo yet somehow this, to her, was a happy ending.
You eventually take notice of all the photos plastered around his room, some framed, and some simply stuck to the walls— memories of happier times. Most were of you and him, and in some, just you. He'd shown off the Polaroid camera his mother bought for him in seventh grade, proclaiming he'd only take photos of moments he'd want to keep in his memory forever. It never actually crossed your mind that a lot of them would be of you.
Beomgyu notices your wandering eyes and chuckles, placing an arm around your shoulder. The distance between you shrinks as he holds you closer. And at that moment, you take note of everything that's changed.
He'd gotten taller since the last time you saw him. Gone was the lanky boy you knew, evident in the way his muscles flexed with every small movement you wish you hadn't noticed. Beomgyu had grown his hair out; the thick, wavy locks tucked behind his ears, covering the back of his neck. The deepness of his voice had been a surprise when he greeted you at the door earlier, but you held back from pointing it out.
You feared that if you acknowledged all the changes, you'd be forced to face reality. That things weren't the same anymore, no matter how hard you tried. After all, Beomgyu wasn't the only one who changed. You had quite the few character development arcs yourself, and experiences which Beomgyu remained oblivious of. And somehow despite that, in his presence, you started to feel like your old self again.
Beomgyu's invitation had come as a surprise last night. You thought he'd forgotten about you, what with all the silence these past few years.
Life continued on as it should even without Beomgyu by your side, but you could argue that all the amazing experiences you've had on your own would've been better if he were there to experience it with you. And now here you were in his old room, pretending everything was the same as he'd left it.
You look up at your old friend, wanting to tell him what had been plaguing your thoughts the entire day but find yourself tongue tied when his dark eyes stare back into your own. And you wonder, how many times had it been that you'd stared into each other's eyes just like this? How many times had he pulled you close into his arms all those years? And just how many nights had you spent wondering if your feelings for him had grown into something more?
"I missed you." Beomgyu speaks first, his gaze never faltering.
Hearing his voice, you swear you could've melted right then and there. Part of you had wished he'd tell you those exact words, confirming that it hadn't been just you who'd been wanting to see him all these years.
"I missed you too."
Beomgyu could only smile at your response.
His arm leaves your shoulder— hands slowly finding their way to your own. His hold was gentle as he slowly guided you to face him.
"Don't laugh, but," Beomgyu starts. "Do you believe in love at first sight?"
"Love at fir—"
The question throws you off.
"What?"
"I heard you the first time!" You cut him off, wanting so bad to cover your face from the secondhand embarrassment. "I can't believe you just said that. What even happened to you in college?"
"Hey! At least hear me out before you make fun of me." Beomgyu bursts out laughing at your reaction, his thumbs caressing the back of your hands to help you calm down. "Judging from your reaction, I'm guessing your answer is a no. And I honestly felt the same too until a few hours back."
"Okay, you lost me there."
"Shut up. What I'm saying is," Beomgyu squeezes your hands, leaning in closer. "I'm sorry I haven't been in touch the last few years. I had a lot of trouble adjusting, and it took a while for me to really get the hang of living alone. I wanted to talk to you as soon as I got there but then I thought that maybe it would've been better for you if I left you to live your own life for a while too."
"Beomgyu.." You squeeze his hands back, sensing the sincerity in his eyes.
Beomgyu shakes his head. "I know this sounds silly and all, but I didn't want you to feel the emptiness I felt when I left. I wanted you to go and make experiences of your own without me."
You frown, refraining to speak until he's done.
"But then I couldn't stop thinking about you. Everywhere I went, I'd think of you and how the place would've been better if we got to hang out there together. Every time I had fun or ate something that tasted good, I wanted you to share the experience with me."
Beomgyu sighs. "Honestly, I thought I could make it through my visit home without seeing you but I passed by your house on my way home yesterday and I just.. I couldn't hold back. And when I saw you for the first time in years at the front of my doorstep.. I knew I had to tell you."
Half of you knew what to expect, and the other half doubted the reality of the situation. But all the doubts instantly melt away as soon as Beomgyu closed the distance between you, pressing your foreheads together.
Face flushed, you stare at him in awe and notice he had his eyes closed shut. "Cute." You thought.
He whispers in a voice so quiet you could barely hear.
"I like you."
You couldn't hold it in any longer, the rush of emotions crashing into you like raging waves against a cliff. The next moment, you find yourself inching closer and closer, face heating up even more as you press your lips against his as a reply.
Beomgyu's eyes widen, body freezing in place. He hadn't exactly expected you to respond so soon, especially not like this. And he couldn't be happier.
You feel Beomgyu returning the kiss, his hands going up to cup your face— his hold gentle. The two of you wanted nothing more than to stay in this moment for as long as life permits, because for once, you could finally see the path to your happily ever after slowly unraveling.
This was just the beginning.

“Blake, I need you with me. I need your eyes. Yang, you’re with Weiss.”
Blake instantly shot Yang a worried glance. They hadn’t been separated from each other to such a degree since the intercom tower in Argus. She wanted Yang to understand that that wouldn’t happen again. She needed Yang to know that she wouldn’t let anything happen again.
“It’s okay.” Yang said, voice soft and eyes softer. “Go.”
“I’ll be back soon.” Blake said, head tilted up stubbornly.
“I know you will.” Yang whispered, gently grasping her hand for a moment before Ruby and Weiss called out to them respectively.
“Show time.” Yang said to Blake, giving her a two fingered salute and a wink before her expression softened and she slowly turned around to walk to Weiss, sending a final look over her shoulder to Blake.
Blake gave a worried hum and turned to Ruby. Yang was right. Time to go. Even if it did feel like a physical pain.

“Mine cart to your right.”
“Oh! Thanks Blake!”
Blake smiled. She supposed it was a testament to how much her friend and leader trusted her to lead her through an environment where the young reaper was at a disadvantage.
Ruby was using her scroll’s torch to light the way but there were several dangers that presented themselves so that Blake’s night vision was needed.
“I’m really glad you’re here, Blake.” Ruby said softly as they made their way through the mine.
“I’m glad that my eyes are appreciated, then.” Blake said dryly, smirking slightly at the exasperated sigh that escaped her friend.
“You known that’s not what I mean.” Ruby huffed, carefully stepping over the tracks. “I just mean that- well. Team RWBY’s not the same without you. We all missed you. Especially Yang.”
“I missed you all too.” Blake said shakily into the air. It still seemed so… unreal to be back with her favourite people. To be fighting alongside them.
“Especially Yang?” Ruby asked, a clear smirk in her voice.
“Well. She’s- you know, she’s my partner! We’re compatible. We work well together.” Blake said stiffly. She did not need to be teased by her partner’s sister right now. Not when she was still sorting out her emotions.
“Yeah. Compatible. In more ways than one.”

“What are you trying to say, Weiss?”
Yang huffed as they moved along through the mine master’s quarters. She loved Weiss like a sister and she was certainly living up to the annoying aspect of such a title.
“I’m just saying that it’s nice to see you letting Blake in again. You two work well together and have the hardest hitting combination attack in our team.” Weiss said simply, opening a data base with a grimace as dust flew off of it. “But I suppose it makes sense.”
“How do you mean?” Yang asked hesitantly. When Weiss turned around with a sly smirk, Yang knew she was in trouble.

“Excuse me?!”
“You heard me.” Ruby sang playfully as she sent Crescent Rose through a Sabyr.
“Ruby. Soulmates are not a thing. They’re a fairytale.” Blake said, agitation spiking. This is not the kind of conversation she wanted to be having. Not when she and Yang were still stuck in some kind of limbo!
“Okay. So tell me that you never felt like it was destiny. Tell me that you never felt a pull to her.” Ruby asked gently.
“Of course it’s not destiny! I chose her for a reason, Ruby! Not because of some red string of fate!”
“Then why did you choose her?”

“Because Ruby needed a friend and Blake helped her.” Yang said quietly. She wasn’t sure if she was ready to face what she and Blake had. Or at least ready to admit it out loud.
“And?” Weiss prompted gently.
“And because she was pretty? Alluring? What do you want from me, here?” Yang sighed wearily as she lifted a box down from a cupboard.
“Alluring? In what way?”

“She was so different to everything I had known. Obviously strong and capable, but she seemed kind. Joyful and light. Happy. I… had forgotten what that was like. I missed it.” Blake said softly as she and Ruby walked past another SDC crate. Gods. How could she undo all that hatred?
“So you chose her because she was happy?” Ruby asked curiously. “Because you wanted to be happy again?”
“No, I knew there was more to her than met the eye. I don’t know!” She said, frustrated with her own feelings. “She just… was the exact opposite of what I was used to! And when I saw her fight, it was like I already knew her moves!” Blake felt her breath hitch. No… it was impossible… but she continued, hands shaking as she slowly came to a realisation. “And when we first made proper eye contact, I could have sworn I met her somewhere before. It was like… I may not have known her but I knew her…” Blake came to a stop and turned to Ruby, voice thick and eyes wide with tears as she finished in a whisper; “it was like I knew her soul.”

“… like I knew her soul.” Yang murmured, a small, shy smile forming on her face. “And as I got to know her, it was just confirming everything I already knew. Her smile and her laugh. Her fears and passion. Her dedication and loyalty. The way she doesn’t give up. It was like I was always meant to know all of these little things about her. Like she just fitted perfectly into every missing piece.” Yang said distantly. “Oh God.” She breathed as she turned to Weiss, eyes wide.
“Well. I think that that confirms my theory.” Weiss said, a soft, fond smile on her face.
“I wonder if she felt it too. If she still does.” Yang said quietly. She looked down at her feet anxiously. A hand on her bicep made her look up at Weiss.
“There’s only one way to find out.”

“I’m pretty sure that Yang felt it too, Blake. But there’s only one way to find out.”
Blake swallowed thickly. Once upon a time, she had believed in soulmates and meant to be’s. She had believed in Adam and thought he was hers. But when that belief shattered, she assured herself she would never let herself believe again.

Both women had had their wings broken by life. But perhaps what they truly needed was to heal alongside another. Somebody who could lift them up when they needed it. Somebody who believes in them.
Maybe it wasn’t a red string of fate that bound them but a feather. As light and free as girls themselves. Never trapped, but always returning to what grounds them; each other.

Part 2 of the Drv3 Boys Reactions to an S/o that wears Lolita/Harajuku Fashion.
Here’s part 2 of the last anon’s ask. As with the last one, I hope it’s too your liking!
Rantaro
Rantaro is just a big fan of fashion in general but out of all the types of Harajuku fashion, he'd prefer the Kogal type.
It's very casual and functional while being highly fashionable at the same time.
Of course, he's fine with any type you like to wear no matter what though and would love to suggest clothes for you to try out that'd go well with your style.
Like with Lolita style he likes the little details and the whole aspect of you wearing an ensemble more than anything.
Ryoma
Personally isn't a fan of Fairy Kei or Decora but he doesn't mind Visual Kei, Kogal, or the Elegant Gothic style.
He's very impartial unlike Rantaro but he might lean more towards the Elegant Gothic style if he had to pick a favorite on you.
Regardless of what you wear he won't think of you any differently but he won't feel right standing next to you if you're in Fairy Kei or Decora style clothes.
He doesn't mean anything by it in the end but he prefers darker colors and neutral tones similar to Shuichi.
However, unlike Shuichi, he'll never act differently depending on what style you wear. He's chill as long as you're happy.
Korekiyo
If you couldn't tell by his own style he'd love Visual Kei, Cyberpunk, and the Elegant Gothic style.
Fairy Kei isn't bad either since like with the Lolita style it reminds him of tales he's read but he's just more inclined to gravitate towards the darker styles.
His absolute favorite is Visual Kei but he wouldn't ever force you into it if it wasn't for you.
Like Ryoma, he doesn't care as much about what you wear but he'll still make suggestions at times.
Most of the time again, being items that reminds him of fairytales and lore he's read.
Gonta
Loves Fairy Kei and Decora styles.
He thinks both are super cute on you and would love to compliment you on his favorite pieces of your outfit.
He's not super fashion savvy himself but he loves how bright and friendly the styles are and maybe would want to try it out for himself to see if it'd make him more approachable.
Too bad there probably isn't anything that friendly-looking in his size.
He'll learn to just admire how it looks on you more than anything, in the end, always giving you tons of compliments
He doesn't mind the darker Elegant Gothic either but he'll gravitate more towards the bright cute styles.
Kokichi
Probably likes Kogal style since it's the most functional but he doesn't mind Decora either.
It's really fun and bright looking so really as long as you can keep up with him he's game.
Like Ryoma, he won't change his attitude too much if you wear his less preferred clothes but he will complain non stop if your fashion ever gets in the way of his antics somehow.
He wouldn't mind the loud visual kei style too much either but like some weird combination of Gonta and Rantaro prefers the bright and casual style clothes.
Kaito
Loves Kogal style more than any of the other styles and would be ecstatic if you wore it.
It's so pretty and yet so casual so that he can still drag you along to do whatever stupid antics he gets into.
He won't change his attitude much like Kokichi, but it's obvious by his reactions whether he likes what you're wearing or not.
He'd never intend to seem rude but he can be a bit dense at times about fashion so he can't really tell you much other than when he likes something.
He just doesn't know a thing about fashion.
Kiibo
Loves Decora, Fairy Kei, and Kogal.
With Kiibo he always thinks you look good in anything you wear but he'd love the more cutesy styles.
Like Gonta he just kind of gravitates towards the sweeter types of Harajuku but he doesn't mind if you wear more dark styles like Cyberpunk or Visual Kei either.
He won't treat you any differently depending on what you wear but he'll always be sure to give lots of compliments.
Like Kaito, he is clueless about fashion so his compliments can be a bit vague but you can tell he does genuinely think you look great.
Shuichi
Prefers Elegant Gothic over any of the styles.
He wouldn't dislike the other styles but like with Lolita fashion he prefers darker tones.
He isn't into much of the brighter styles since they can be a strain on the eyes but he isn't against them either.
He just will always enjoy Gothic and Darker themed clothes more.
He won't mean to but like with the Lolita style, he probably will still feel as though he's underdressed or something in next you, it's not as severe this time.
He prefers Harajuku over the two since it makes him feel like it's more normal for the two of you to be seen together.
