For the Grab&Go AU, would Michael try to forcibly adopt Gregory? (Yes, this is in response to your post from earlier) Does Gregory run away from home in this AU? Does he meet Mike first, or Evan? (Answer whichever you want. This is more to nudge your brainstorming than actually looking for an answer)
I'd imagine he wouldn't go after Cassie, though, simply because her father also works for Freddy's, and Mike would probably already know him.
okay to answer this, first I'll say there's 2 Mikes in the au
Mike Smith -> this Mike killed Evan when ev was seven. This Mike grew up to work at Freddy's and accidentally got sent back in time, stopped the Bite from happening (grabbed Evan away when Ev was hiding from kid Mike on ev's birthday in 1983), and ended up kidnapping Ev when they were both put into the future (2001, maybe?)
Mike Afton -> this Mike was created after Mike Smith kidnapped Evan. To this Mike, his little brother Evan went missing when he was seven and was never found.
Mike Afton goes on to adopt Cassie and Gregory, after he gets a lot of therapy and grows as a person after thinking it's his fault that Evan went missing (this Mike believes Ev never would have ran away and got lost/kidnapped if he hadn't been so mean and tried dragging Evan to see Fredbear on his seventh birthday).
I'm still thinkin everything through ofc, but for now, current thoughts is that Michael Afton ends up adopting Cassie before Gregory. Cassie is either the result of a one-night stand Mike had, or Cassie is the daughter of one of Mike's masked bully friends who died/went to jail, and Mike ended up getting custody of her.
Gregory either had a bad home life or his parent(s) died and he was put in the foster care system. Either way, he ended up running away, where he met Cassie when no one showed up to her birthday party. Sometime after, Mike Afton adopted Gregory. So, Gregory meets Mike (Afton) before he meets Evan.
Evan runs away from Mike Smith when he's 15 or 16. Evan is living on the streets for a month or two, hiding from Mike Smith and trying to figure out what to do. One day, Evan gets caught shoplifting at a store that Gregory happens to be in. When Greg sees what's happening, Gregory causes a distraction and helps Evan get away. Once they're both safe, Greg laughs at Evan-- "that was such a rookie mistake you made! You really haven't been on the streets long, huh? Here, let me show you how it's really done!"
Greg introduces Evan to Cassie, and although the two of them encourage Ev to come with them bc their dad will be able to help Evan, Ev refuses. Greg and Cassie spend maybe a week or two bringing Evan food and clothes and hanging out with him, becoming friends. Finally, they bring Mike Afton to meet their new friend. Evan is terrified of this man that shares his abuser's face and name, but Evan quickly realizes this is NOT the same Mike who kidnapped him. He's still scared of Mike Afton nonetheless, but Evan stays around because Greg and Cassie are his friends. Ev doesn't want to abandon them-- especially not with a version of Mike that might be hurting them the same way Mike Smith hurt Evan.
So Evan stays, still trying to hide his identity from Mike Afton, and trying to make sure Greg and Cassie are safe with Mike Afton while also trying to use Mike to figure out his own complicated past, which Evan still doesn't remember very well.
As for whether Mike Smith would forcibly adopt Gregory,,
Im sorta debating whether Mike Smith would keep tabs on Mike Afton after realizing a whole other version of himself exists now that he fucked up the timeline. I think Smith would, but it might take Smith a while to realize Mike Afton even exists. Smith wouldn't trust this other version of himself at all, but he keeps his distance bc he doesn't want anything to do with Afton.
I can see a version of events where Smith doesn't trust Afton around kids when he learns that Afton adopted cassie and Greg and decides it'll be best to get Afton away from them, howeverrrr. That pretty heavily conflicts w the version of the au that I've been daydreaming about so far. Plus, Mike Smith knows that he himself is behaving really toxically and in ways that hurt Evan; he just has to keep raising Evan anyway, though, because no one else will be able to keep Evan's traumatic memories from surfacing like Smith thinks he can/has to, and Mike Smith has a lot of paranoia and trauma from other people hurting him that makes him afraid to let Evan out into the world. For Greg and Cassie, neither of these things are an issue; they're already out in the world and Smith might come to the conclusion that keeping them safe "isn't his problem" when he's already struggling to keep Evan cared for.
After Evan runs away, he ends up becoming a part of Mike Afton’s family. When Smith realizes where Evan is, I think Smith does try kidnapping Evan back-- only Mike Smith quickly realizes that he just... can't do this again. Evan isn't the only one with repressed memories; Smith himself also repressed just how bad things were when he first kidnapped a seven year old Evan who begged to be allowed to go back to his family and had to be locked in his room with his screams and beging and sobbing left ignored in the name of making sure Ev couldn't run away. Now, Smith sees the effects of being violently ripped away from that little slice of family and happiness that he found for himself crushing Evan, and Mike Smith just... can't. He doesn't have a plan, anyway. It was a miracle that seven year old Ev repressed away the kidnapping and his past, but Smith can already tell that this teenage Evan isn't going to do that. Smith knows he can't keep Evan locked up in his room and hope for another miracle solution like Evan repressing the kidnapping. So, he ends up letting Evan go at the realization that this is Evan’s only chance at happiness and safety.
Whether Mike Smith would have tried kidnapping not just Evan away from Mike Afton, but also kidnapping Cassie and Greg is an interesting question,, a version of events where Smith tries "saving" the three of them from Mike Afton while also letting Evan keep the siblings he found for himself could be really interesting.
It probably does bother Smith that he's leaving kids with Mike Afton when Mike Smith doesn't trust any version of himself with kids, but again, Mike knows he doesn't have the money or ability to try taking care of Evan, let alone two additional kids who also don't want to be with Smith and will try running away at any chance they get. Smith also doesn't have the guilt of, yk, killing Cassie or Greg in the original timeline like he does Ev, so Smith might justify it as "they're not my problem, not when I have Ev to take care of." Or at least, they're not his problem until he first figures out how to keep Evan safe (which he ultimately decides is letting Evan go).

My thoughts on Chaggie/ Charlie x Vaggie
Before we begin, no this isn't a "I hate chaggie post" and no I will not be hating on those who ship it either. Rather this is just my thoughts on chaggie at the moment.
So, I'm just gonna say it, Chaggie is my OTP. Not because it is perfection, but because it's in my opinion one of the most interesting relationship canon/noncanon, I love both the characters in the relationship, and any moment of intimacy (not just kisses and such but any intimacy that reads as romantic) is cute. And with that I want to talk about the relationship so far.
Now I've been seeing people say their relationship is toxic or unhealthy, and to that I say...that's a bit strong. Let me explain. So because hazbin is kinda speedrunning it's plot (which I understand bc limitations on episodes and seasons green lit) we don't get to deeply know all the characters and specifics on why they make certain choices and how they ended up the way they did so we have to rely on the broad and limited information provided in each episode.
Based on the 6 episodes released, we can tell Charlie is very optimistic, to a fault at times, passionate, a go getter with some direction, very empathetic, ablivious at times, and ultimanty wants to be a leader but lacks the confidence and authority (despite begin a princess bc we love the royal that doesn't know how to rule troupe, genuinely) to be one.
Vaggie on the other hand, is like Charlie, very kind, but isn't as willing to put faith in a person till they've proven they deserve it, protective, loyal, good intended, not very trusting, lacks confidence, and dependent on Charlie.
Now when you put these two together, while the two do help eachother supplement what the other lacks, whether through reassurance, doing what the other can't or doesn't want to do, or giving the other what they need at the moment, even if that isn't them, it's clear who relies more on the other. After it's revealed how Vaggie and Charlie met, it really reframes Vaggie's character. No longer is she just a slightly insecure girlfriend who just wants to make sure her partner is happy and is being supportive and good enough to her, she's now a character who has bad identity issues. I mean can you blame her?! Her whole life disappeared in an instance and started all over when Charlie found her. I imagine they haven't really been apart since then except for a couple hours maybe, but never for days or longer. And being with someone for so long especially in an unfamiliar place, of course you become attached to them. Add Charlie basically saving Vaggie's life, there's an imbalance there. A feeling of indebtedness even if Charlie never said Vaggie owed her bc wow that would be way out of character.
Now as I mentioned before, Charlie is a bit ablivious to certain things, she's especially ablivious to how vaggie feels and what she's going through. Now that's not entirely her fault, she didn't know Vaggie was an angel and that Vaggie may feel indebted to her for saving her life, but also it's clear Charlie doesn't understand social cues and again, because of her trust in Vaggie, she'd assume Vaggie would tell her anything that was wrong or bothering her since the contrary just isn't something established in there relationship. And if Vaggie didn't want to talk about something she'd say it, not lie. Like in all honesty I think Charlie won't be upset by Vaggie being an angel, but rather hiding it. Now it may sound like alot to ask of Vaggie, but again, Charlie is under the impression that Vaggie would be explicit about what to talk and not talk about. Also Charlie may be hurt because she may feel like Vaggie doesn't trust her enough or think she wouldn't accept her. So I get both sides.
So to me there relationship feels like any relationship, complicated. The relationship Itself isn't unhealthy, but some of the actions of the two involved aren't healthy or the best. Don't think I forgot about Charlie being pushy at times, I understand why she does it, but combine it with her abliviousness it's not so great. I definitely think Charlie and Vaggie can bounce back and maybe the two can have a moment together that helps the two be better together and separate. Which brings me to another thing I'd like to talk about.
My hope for Chaggie in the future is this. In the next episode, the two give eachother space, and they hangout with people in the hotel. I like the idea of Vaggie, Husk, and or Angel hanging out. Charlie and Lucifer or Charlie, Sir Pentious, Husk, or Angel spending time with her. Then half way or 3 quarters through the episode Vaggie and Charlie have a moment together after talking and hangingout with the others, talk about it/maybe apologize, make up, and have there first kiss in the show (other gestures like their foreheads touching or noses touching or a combination of gestures work as well). Then of course setting up for the 8th episode.
Another thought I had, is also the two trying to act as if nothing happened, they continue with there plans with the hotel, then when everyone notices the obvious tension, while they want to prepare for the extermination, they also want to figureout/help Vaggie and Charlie get through what ever happened. Then I imagine they either try doing the exercises and such Charlie plans but secretly use it as a way to help Charlie and Vaggie, in the end Vaggie or Charlie blow up. Shit goes down and then they make up. Or it's still not working so they try getting the two away from eachother by saying they need help with stuff, talking to them, then the two make up. Or one last one I swear, Vaggie or Charlie say to take a break from this. Everyone does, Charlie and Vaggie talk or argue. Walk different ways, Vaggie stays at the hotel and Charlie leaves the hotel. After the two end up figuring shit out, I like to think Charlie got into some shit, Vaggie saves her, they talk as they deal with the trouble Charlie's in, make up, and have an intimate moment.
Now the last thing I wat to say is kinda related but not, so if you came just for Chaggie you can leave. Anyways, with the current state of chaggie (especially with the lack of typical romantic intimacy) I noticed people shipping Charlie x Emily. And while yes I see it, personally I don't ship it just because they've only met in episode 6, they're too similar, and in my opinion, I like them as friends. With that being said, I do like them together so long as Charlie is still with Vaggie. Like I just love Charlie and Vaggie together so much, I don't want them to split. So either I'd have them as a throuple, or Charlie is dating them both but Emily and Vaggie are just friends. Either one is a pretty interesting shipping dynamic and great for fanfiction. Also just to clarify, I'm not hating on Emily x Charlie, it's just not one I'm strong about. So if you like it, more power to you. And you know what, I'll probably still look at content of it anyways cause even if it isn't my fav it's still cute.

Common ADHD traits/experiences I've heard of !!
(I was gonna make a post about why I might be neurodivergent but I figured it'd be going a bit too personal. Also this is just easier)
(ADHD is much more nuanced and complex than I may make it appear in this post. A lot of ADHD people don't have a lot of these traits or have traits not mentioned here. For example there are three types of ADHD (inattentive, hyperactive and combined) and most inattentive adhders are not going to be hyperactive lol)
Warning: badly worded (I'm stupid that's my excuse). also I'll go on personal rants as to how some of these may apply to me (whilst I can reasonate with each point listed here I won't go on a rat on all of these)
Physical hyperactivity (inability to sit/stand still (I used to think this meant that people with ADHD were incapable of. Sitting down (while constantly fidgeting or not) for one whole class)(I was an idiot)(I still am)). (Just overall constant , movement (I might have it idk I'm ALWAYS
Excessive talking
Stimming, fidgeting, general and overall repetitive movements (such as flapping hands, pacing, clasping hands together, etc)
Low attention span regarding things that don't garner much interest to you
More likely to be autistic, have anxiety or depression (or generally have other diagnostic conditions)
Ability to Hyperfocus on specific things, at times out of their control
More likely to have a lower Performance in school that most people
Proneness to addiction
Rejection sensitive dysphoria/RSD (really sensitive and afraid to rejection or criticism or disapproval or stuff like that. I'm questioning if I have it and I'm pretty sure I do bc i would have a whole breakdown bc i accidentally had a bad unintentional thought about this cool person I didn't want to hate me)(it's complicated)
Emotional disregulation (easily irritable, excited, stressed, stronger emotions, more likely to lash out, etc)(people with this are usually described to be much more emotional)
restless leg syndrome (except it's permanent lol)
Lower memory spans regarding most things
Forgetting to fulfill basic needs (such as eating, drinking, showering, etc)
Women/AFAB people are more likely to be diagnosed with inattentive ADHD (this of course does not rucking mean afab people can't b hyperactive my god)
Mental hyperactivity (racing/constant/overlapping/repetitive thoughts or stuff like that)
Impulsivity (doing stuff without thinking them fully though or not knowing why)
Sensory issues (sensitivity to sensory output such as noise, brightness, etc)
Easily bored/underwhelmed/understimulated - more likely to want to seek constant dopamine (due to l
Easily overwhelmed (whether itd be due to aforementioned sensory issues, emotional disregulation, rsd or stuff like that)
More likely to be perceived as "childish" (from what I've heard obviously this and many other things listed here don't apply to everyone)
Executive dysfunction (can't do shit at all)(ok it's more complicated than that just Google it up or something)
Having Hyperfixations (things you're DEEPLY invested in for a period of time, it can be a few days, weeks, months, sometimes more than a year, depends rly)(I'm still questioning if I'm neurodivergent but like I'm pretty sure I was in a DEEP hyperfixation mode when it came to sonic for like. A YEAR. like I literally it was literally the only thing on my brain the only thing in my life. and I would get realllytyy excited about learning obscure information about it or infodumping and I would flap my hands bc of how excited and passionate I was Abt it)(man I miss the times when I was so passionate about stuff I liked it was so fun :(( )
Higher/lower levels of empathy (I've seen this moreso been brought up with discussions regarding autism but I've also seen it brought up with ADHD itself too)
Lower levels of dopamine
Impatience
More likely to be a maladaptive daydreamer
Its cause is usually heavily genetic (meaning if your family or a family member has ADHD, you are more likely to have ADHD yourself)
More likely to have insomniac/have general problems with sleep (I'm questioning ADHD. I'm writing this like... Five hours before I'm supposed to wake up for school. Great.)
There is also a higher relevance between ADHD and PTSD

Some of these traits may be common due to the commonness of ADHD + autism overlap (idk though)
Apparently it's one of the most diagnosed forms of neurodivergence in kids (about 7-10% of kids in the USA are diagnosed with ADHD)(APPARENTLY idk)

The chances of this being accurate are low, but never zero, so here's my take on how the relationship between Eddie and Marisol could go:
7x05: Eddie and Marisol starting over because they don't know anything about eachother, their relationship based only on sexual interactions (which still baffles me bc what is this version of Eddie???? It's like he was unable to focus on anything else beside how pent up he was because he wasn't getting any????) and don't even get me started on her moving in and out in the span of a few days without involving Chris in any capacity. They could've showed them being unable to share stuff about their personal lives without this whole living together fiasco. What were the writers thinking coming up with this storyline? Truly the most bizarre thing to happen in season 7, next to Marisol being a nun (although if it was a plot device to kick start Eddie's journey with catholic guilt I will allow it).
7x06: I honestly don't think we will see Marisol at all. First of all, the actress hasn't posted anything from set from this time (and we all know she wouldn't pass up the opportunity to show her wedding outfit or another selfie from the trailer with her being the attention seeker that she is). Second of all, there's probably not enough screen time and she's not that important of a character to be included in this whole storyline. Eddie might mention her in passing like he did in 7x04 but I think that's it.
7x07: Now here's when things might get interesting. I want to see them break up, I really do, not only because the actress is shitty but she's basically a nobody this far into the series and I don't see how they could suddenly make us care for her. Tim saying how he didn't know what to do with her tells me enough that she's not sticking around and he's just trying to fix the mess KR left. Let's not forget Tim saying that at least one relationship (bucktommy or eddisol) will have complications. I'll bet my money the couple in question will be Eddie and Marisol. The episode being titled "Ghost of a Second Chance" (which literally means sth has a little chance of succeeding) makes me think we will see Eddie trying to get to know Marisol (but i'm begging, no more sex scenes between them, once is enough, don't do this to us again) and him coming to realization how little he truly likes about her. I would like to see him go "wait, I actually don't want to do this with her, she's not someone who i want to be with". I think it's too soon for him to see how uncomfortable relationships with women make him and why he always feels like "he has to perform" but it would be a pleasant surprise if they did actually dive into it already. I don't know what exactly could trigger him to break up with Marisol (and I think it will be Eddie who puts an end into this relationship based on the ending of the last episode) but it would be nice if we got some kind of parallel to his breakup with Ana and the "I thought it would work". Since Ryan said in one of his interviews that Eddie has enough on his plate this season, I don't think he will have any kind of feelings realization regarding Buck in 7x07, but if this storyline further explores his repression then count me in, I'm getting my snacks and my drinks and I'm seated.

My Thoughts on Spy x Family Chapter 75
Warning: This post contains spoilers for Chapter 75 of the manga
Firstly, the stellas were very much deserved all around. All four of them were very brave the entire time, and even though I think Anya and Damian each deserved an extra stella for the bomb collars around their necks, I wouldn't be surprised if Eden has a policy of not giving out more than one stella at a time to each student.
Becky wanting to use the event to launch her singing career is hysterical and honestly a very 6-year-old thing to do.
Now for the parents' reactions:
Mr. Blackbell wins 2nd place in the Most Concerned Parent Contest. He was literally ready to go to war for her and started bawling the moment she was safe.
The Anya/Yor reunion was sweet and went down pretty much as I expected. I am glad Anya got to break down and cry now that she and everyone else are safe.
Twilight's reaction was kinda underwhelming, but I'm banking on him just absolutely breaking down once he gets back home. He's probably still running on adrenaline and hasn't really processed anything yet.
But Melinda. Holy shit. This woman is complicated. Where do I even start with her?
I'm noticing how the positive, caring thoughts/emotions come first, and then are followed by the appallingly cold stuff. It's like her first, instinctual reaction is to love and worry for Damian, but she's desperately trying to convince herself she doesn't care.
Interestingly enough, the way she's talking here makes me wonder if she is Donovan's second wife. Not once has Melinda ever mentioned Demetrius, even with the Mommy Club. She did, however, bring up Damian in conversation with Yor.
If she is indeed Mrs. Desmond No. 2, then I'm very curious ab what might have happened to her predecessor. Her being Donovan's second wife would potentially explain the seemingly large age gap between Demetrius and Damian.
It also seems like she didn't want children, or at least didn't want to have children in this particular relationship. Given what we know of Donovan and what we now know of Melinda's psyche, I think its safe to say he is at the very least emotionally abusing his family and quite possibly doing much worse. He seems like the type to pull some messed up psychological shit. It would make sense imo for Melinda to not want to bring kids into that kind of household. But I can imagine her wishes not being respected, partly bc of societal pressure and partly bc Donovan doesn't seem to care what anyone else wants.
That might explain her abrupt attitude switch, if she has loads of Donovan-related trauma. She literally went from Yuri-levels of devotion to and obsession over her son to wishing he'd died in the hijacking within like 0.1 seconds after Donovan was mentioned. She even calls him "that man" instead of "my husband" or "your father", which is honestly very telling.
I wonder if Melinda trying to convince herself she doesn't care about Damian is so that Donovan can't use him against her. If this is the case, then Donovan getting wind of her actual feelings towards Damian could be disastrous for them both. This of course doesn't excuse her behavior in the slightest, but is one interesting theory to explain her mental and emotional state.
Melinda seems to think that Damian's existence traps her in the Donovan household. She both loves him because he's her son and resents him because he keeps her tied to a waking nightmare, hence her wishing he'd died in the hijacking. She probably thinks that if he'd died, they'd both be free. If she didn't have him to worry about, she would likely run away to the in-universe equivalent of Italy or something. I can't imagine her being happy in her current situation.
All in all, I'm starting to think that living in the dorms is really the safest, healthiest option for the Desmond kids. They may face ridiculously high expectations, but at least they have a solid routine and aren't in a house where they have to wonder if their parents actually care for their well-being.
I think it would be fascinating if at some point Melinda suffers a breakdown and ends up a patient of everybody's favorite psychiatrist, Loid Forger. What other kinds of issues lurk beneath the surface of her mind?

Bouncing in here like a madman again
Do you think Captain Marvel (seperate from Billy) considers the Wizard SHAZAM as their father as a sort of creator and creation relationship? Giving room for Billy and grandpa wizard relationship kinda?
I've had a lot of sugar today, so I'm not sure how that sounds, but I kept thinking about your fic, "Split", and how if things took a different turn and Captain Marvel revealed he existed because of the Wizard, would the JL come to the assumption that the wizard was his father/Billy's grandfather?
Or if things took an angstier turn, if Captain Marvel let slip accidentally that he didn't believe that the death of Billy's mother (and actual father) was a genuine accident/had suspicions about it, how would they react? Would they suspect the wizard bc of all the suspicions they're having? Also, I'm not sure if I remember, but did the JL get to have a conversation with the wizard?
Kinda factors into that one ask I sent before, where the gods killed the parents of the champions of magic to challenge and prepare them without them knowing, which might include the wizard, too. (Sorry, I re watched the Guardians of the Galaxy 2 recently and it's been doing numbers on my little mind)
In all seriousness you could write an AU for your fics and we'd eat it all up and ask for seconds because your writing creates a universe of wonder for us.

Okay first of all you are so sweet! It's driving me crazy (in a good way) that I can discuss AUs of my fics!
I think that the Wizard already plays a sort of wise grandfather figure to Billy (in my preferred version of him) regardless of Captain Marvel's feelings towards the Wizard.
But I think it's totally logical for Captain Marvel to think of the Wizard as a creator figure, especially in his current incarnation since it was just Shazam who made him instead of a full Wizard's Council. There's respect between them, but Marvel also wants to make Shazam proud, wants to prove he's a good Champion. And I think that can translate to a father-son type dynamic even if it's a lot more complicated than that.
If we're talking Split in particular, the JL "met" the Wizard but Shazam didn't bother talking to any of them so their many confusions and suspicions didn't get brought up to him directly.
But if they had reason to believe Shazam was Marvel’s father, Flash in particular would have been having a freak out because the Wizard would have gone from possibly sketchy mentor to controlling and possibly abusive father/grandfather. He might have even had more people on his side if that was the case (especially if we add in the idea that the Batsons were killed as some kind of test of Billy’s pure heart).
There would still be those who insist that they shouldn't get in the middle of their complicated and potentially messy family situation. But there would also be those who wonder if Marvel had a choice in becoming a hero if his father was the one who imbued him with his powers because it was his "destiny". I can definitely picture Marvel bluescreening if someone asked him if he'd had a choice in being a hero (he didn't, and Billy didn't either) or if he'd ever wanted something else for himself (it had never occurred to him that he could be anything else because he was created to fight evil). His answer would definitely send up some red flags to whoever he's talking to.
There are so many cool ways having people think Shazam is Marvel’s father could play out and it would be so fun to explore that.
And since you mentioned it, while I don’t currently have plans to write an AU of my fics, I AM completely open to other people writing AUs of my fics if they are inspired enough to do it! So long as you credit me as the original author/check the Inspired By box when you post, I encourage you to go for it!

DUDE, THE DRAGONS YOU TAKE INSPO FROM ARE SO COOL?? Woahhhh, now I have two new games to reference from. Personally, I take a lot of reference from DOTA: Dragon's Blood and a little bit of Dragon's Dogma for the dragon heart/weakness idea. (Been having a dragon au brewing in my head for RE ngl)
How do you think your Leons would've got infected? I'm just asking cause usually people do something along the lines of 'this guy got infected and turned into a dog hybrid'! Or something like that. (Genetics would apply to that too, possibly???) I guess this also applies to Las Plagas Leon, but honestly the way he could've got infected could be very different from RE4/RE4R if you want to go that route. I grew up on Dragon Age so those two dragons got a special place in my heart. The ArchDemon is crazy awesome and spooky looking!!! I also love Flemmeth's dragon design as well, but I didn't use hers for anything.
My plaga Leon specifically was infected through RE4-- just with a major twist and fuckery on my part.
Leon was given a Queen Plaga instead of a normal one in order to subdue his will far easier. Saddler had known based on what he'd been told by his people that Leon was formidable and unstoppable... so he ordered Menendez to "convert" him with one. Also Saddler was very interested in expanding the holy body's hierarchy (not in a weird, breedy way though) since the Queen had no host that could take it's will and power. This is based on the Remake version of events because I haven't played OG4 yet... I have it on my pc.

The Plaga he was given hadn't been killed when he was treated... instead it had gone dormant in shock. The treatment wasn't in time and also the plaga was just too strong to be taken out. It re-emerges once he's in the United States during his quarantine post-mission.
The US government was indeed very interested in the Plagas once they were informed of them... and Leon having a Queen specimen was very... promising. Especially because the Queen is independent from Saddler and that means Leon can command soldiers. (Which is why I have BOW armor Leon... He's deployed with Verdugos on missions. Also I want to have Leon vs. Chris at some point w it cause it sounds SUPER COOL!!! Chris wouldn't know its Leon though hehe)
C-Virus.... I've always liked to use C-virus for shit so I was like: Government experiments on Leon a little bit in some super soldier program designed to use Las Plagas as biological enhancements. They create their own Verdugos and Leon can command them as a Queen bee can. They also discover that C-Virus and Plagas are pretty compatible. It gives Plaga Leon the ability to change as far as needed... and revert back without much issues.
Leon's DNA is used for alot of the projects so everything is actually traceable back to him
Plaga Leon is actually not that strong. Chris can still go toe to toe easily with him. He's only stronger when he's more transformed... then uhhh survive :3c
The BSAA heavily pushes into investigations of the US Government and eventually the DSO over Human Rights violations among other things involving the creation and use of BOW's for their own interests. Chris actually pressures Leon over it alot... but Leon is utterly terrified of saying anything because its extremely dangerous and top secret information (also he was ahem.. conditioned to not spare a peep).
The Magenta eyes were an intentional design choice because red is kinda corny imo and also i thought it was cool :3c

just found ur blog and i love the battinson posts being protected by his kids do you think i could get a one shot with the batfam in quarantine and jason pretending to hate it but he actually loves being around bruce so often? maybe jealous batkids who really don't like when bruce isn't paying attention to them bc he's on a work meeting or talking with clark and want his attention on them (maybe damian and jason and tim with dick and cass saying they're stupid but going along with it) thanks and sorry if this is too long

Usally One Shots takes a bit extra of time, since a need to put a structure, and to not mention the translation process. Since English is not my native lenguage.
Sooo, lets start.
(best description os Bruce and all his children during the pandemic lockdown)

Quarantine was soooooo complicated.
People getting sick, companies going down or going up, doctors and nurses isolating themselves from their families, parents losing children and children losing parents, families coming together and families splitting up, couples finding each other.....
You know what I mean, don't you?

So, Bruce even though he has the benefit of having a mega mansion for him and his family and a few other properties around the city, the country and the rest of the world... let's just say he didn't have as much privacy as others would have thought.
First: Knowing that many shelters would go bankrupt or lack the capacity to house the many people who needed them, Bruce decided to temporarily lend out some of the smaller properties (his own and not the Wayne family's) so that the rent money would not be a burden to those groups in need.
Second: Happily for him, and the workers of his company, it was not a few months before the lock-in that Wayne Co. had invested in various actions in different medical fields. So they did not have big losses or at least almost all of their workers were able to keep their jobs. Those who had not been so lucky had either been sent as support to the areas that needed them most or had their pay docked for another 9 months while they looked for another job (their decision, not Bruce's).
Third: All their children decided to get together so they could get through the pandemic together... and apparently they had developed a dual personality as puppies.

Bruce loves his kids, and now that he can spend more time with them and actually interact with them as a real family, he wants to make the most of the situation. He doesn't have to patrol much anymore, since even the villains are locked up in their respective hideouts, and he thought at first that this would allow him to spend more time relaxing.
...
So idiotic of him.
Even though the mansion was terribly huge, there always seemed to be someone in every place.
Dick had moved in at the beginning, as he was sharing a case with Tim and was in the mansion when everyone was put under mandatory lockdown. Tim was still living with him, though he was leaving with the Titans seasonally so he could work better with his team; as the case had been in Gotham he had no problem with the lockdown. Damian .... Well, Damian was still a kid, so he was with him all the time.
But Jason had been a pleasant surprise.
The day after all the newscasts said about the lockdown, Bruce was surprised by Jason at the entrance of the mansion.
His son was carrying several suitcases, a couple of planters and various other things in boxes behind him. He looked exhausted, and thoroughly disgusted by the stain the pot had left on his shirt, but not by being there.
Before he could say anything or get up to help him with his things he blurted out
"Look old man, one of the Crime Valley prostitutes has been kicked out for not paying her share, she's got 1 kid and another friend who's in the same boat.... I rented my flat to them until they could get something better. So I'd appreciate it if you'd move out of the door and let me in. I don't want Alfie nagging me about mud stains."
Bruce knows it's a lie, he knows Jason gave them his flat for free until they could get a job, which he plans to offer, and he doesn't tell him any more.
He is happy to see all his children in the same place and that his prodigal son was now there was the best thing that could have happened to him.
Well... until the attachment issues started to pass.
Of course they did.
Don't misunderstand him.
He loves his offspring. He loves them with all his being, every fibre and cell in his body is basically dedicated to loving and caring for his children and Alfred... as well as the city, of course.
But, because of the lifestyle before, Bruce never realised how little he physically interacted with them outside of training. And it pains him to realise it at this point in his life.
So he decides to make up for it a little bit, you know?
He's getting closer with Dick every month, he pats Tim on the back a few times when he sees him sad, he gives Damian kisses on the head when he's having his... annoying moments. And he even gives Jason hugs when he notices he's not going to jump on him like an angry cat.
And while the boys were initially uncomfortable with his presence, they got used to it, and with a little more time (dangerously fast, as Alfred jokes) they themselves became more enthusiastic about his displays of affection.
And even they themselves became more and more enthusiastic about his displays of affection.
That was a good sign of reliability.
Wasn't it?
So, now, whenever one of her children could, he would give him hugs, kisses on his face, or cling as close to his side as he could. His heart was pounding so hard and so happily that he never noticed the almost obsessive way in which his children were becoming attached to him.
Not that he saw anything wrong with it either... but Alfred did, and he was always telling him that he should tell his children that they should learn to be moderate in their displays of affection.
Not that it bothered him so much.
He doesn't mind Damian sneaking into his bed in the middle of the night because of a nightmare.... accompanied by all his siblings, and almost crushing him because all his children are bigger than him (except Damian and Tim, who haven't finished growing up yet).
He doesn't mind Dick using him as a barbell, almost everyone in the mansion has started training inside the Batcave gym (to keep in shape)... even though he refuses to let go of him no matter how much he reminds him to do Wayne Co.'s work.
It doesn't bother him that Tim always asks him to share his desk, as it's a good way for them to get the office work done quickly... even if Damian joins them for their virtual classes and always wants to give his opinion, hanging on his back like a Titi monkey.
And, also, he doesn't mind that Jason is always looking at him and carrying him around to hug him when they're watching movies or series in a familiar way. Jason wouldn't hesitate to hold him in his lap and cuddle him like a cuddly toy... He kind of missed the way he and Jason used to do that when Jason was a kid. Although now his son is a giant.
The point is that it doesn't bother him, it doesn't bother him at all...
But it can be a tiny, petty bit too much at times.
Like the time he had to lock the bathroom door... because Damian (using Titus as an excuse) would come in without permission, just because he was sitting alone.
Or the time Dick refused to let him go all day and everyone in the League saw how Nightwing was stuck on his hip with Batman.
Or the time Tim refused to work one day, just because Bruce wouldn't join him at the desk.
Or the time Jason walked into the middle of a Wayne Co. meeting. Looking completely terrified (since he'd been in there with Damian and Tim at the same time), demanding that he put Band-Aids on him because his brothers had used Alfred (the cat) during their feud... and he refused to leave until he put some Wonder Woman themed Band-Aids on him.
And let's just say that Alfred had also tried to do everything he could to control the level of attachment his children were generating.
Don't get it wrong, he and Alfred love their kids... but like any human being Bruce needed time to himself to catch up on some company and League stuff.
And that brings him to where he is now.
You'll see.
While the board of directors had no objection to their children's interruptions at regular meetings, there were some that did or did need to be discussed without the need to stop the conversation over Mr. Tuxedo's missing around (baby squirrel Damian had found abandoned in the garden) or Jason's sobbing attachment (after Dicks put on a purple t-shirt by mistake).
So, he and Alfred had to find a way to keep the kids distracted (because even they would come into the shower to ask him questions) and have at least 40 minutes of uninterrupted table meeting.
So, for the sake of the meeting, Alfred sent all the kids out to get the groceries for the house. Not that they were short of food... or even their own vegetable garden, but they couldn't find another way to distract them without them not being there.
It was silly, unreliable that they didn't think so, but ironically it worked.
Dick grabbed Damian to go to the harbour to get fresh fish... Lots of fresh fish. And Tim pulled Jason to get various cleaning supplies that Alfred had specified in a detailed list.
As soon as the boys set foot outside the mansion, Bruce took refuge in one of the hidden storage rooms in the mansion's attic, and locked it and locked it from the inside.
The talk, to his success and rare satisfaction, went quite well on the whole... or so he thought.
It was only five minutes before it was all over, when he heard several feet running and moving things down the corridor.
"Baba! Look what I found! Her name is Dory and she's our new Starfish Mascot!"
"B! Can you tell Damian that we don't have a proper aquarium for Dory yet? B?! Where are you?"
" Old man !!!! Tell the Replacement that I'm not giving him any of my yogurt!... Oldman?"
"You don't even like yoghurt! You only bought it because it has Wonder Woman's face on the cover - at least give me a taste!"
"Baba! Dory want to meet you!"
"B, where are you?"
" Old man! Tim eats my yogurth"
Bruce couldn't even close the Zoom meeting before Jason, because clearly no one but Jason has the savage strength to break an iron cantol, broke into the deposit.
"Oldman, tell Tim he owes me a Wonder Woman yogurt and- Oh, you were just having a Zoom?" He said "Never mind, what matters is that you should tell Tim he owes me a yogurt."
He couldn't do much after that. His laptop was disconnected, ending the meeting, and he was charged back to where the rest of his children were demanding his attention.
Well... Not that the Chat was all that interesting anyway.
What was interesting was having to explain to Damian that Dory would have to go back to an aquarium because they couldn't take care of a starfish... and giving Jason a subscription to Wonder Woman Merch.

Toro's Powers/Inhuman Part 2
alright, last post (here) talked about the powers themselves and how they work with Toro as a character. So what about his relationships, and his place in the team/teams? (another long one) also, his backstory a little bit bc i just want to talk about toro. this isn't english class, i don't need structure lol (much heavier on headcanons)
Let's start with the obvious. Jim. Jim could probably give less of a fuck what toro "is", because he is Toro and he is Jim's son and that's enough. the new powers, i can see that creating some internal angst for jim at first bc toro having the same powers as him kinda reassured him of his own humanity and their similar powers were the first building block in their relationship. but once jim escapes the evil anxiety spiral and remembers Toro isn't going anywhere, he's incredibly supportive. (we see a glimpse of this in canon, where he supports Toro's choice in going to Atalian. the new powers still catch him off guard sometimes, but he's also secretly glad bc it means Toro isn't constantly comparing himself to Jim anymore, and it boosts Toro's self-confidence. (srsly, re-reading this stuff now that i'm not an angsty middle schooler, my boy needs several hugs and therapy. he makes blatantly suicidal comments both in the Torch and Invaders Now, not to mention several times in earlier comics where he makes self-deprecating comments comparing himself to Jim.)
Next up, Nora and Fred Raymond. Betcha didn't see that one coming! Obviously learning you're an entirely different species is going to re-contextualize some shit about your parents, but not necessarily in the way you'd expect. See, Toro's parents were both brilliant chemists (or otherwise chemistry adjacent scientists. the details of how the fuck horton cells work is sketchy at best). Toro never got to know them well, both because of a number of things they were keeping from him and how young he was when they died. Toro himself says he never knew much about his mother when she's brought up in The Torch, and a part of his motivation is specifically to find out more about his parents. Because his new powers are heavily reliant on chemistry, he'll probably be doing a lot of research in that area, which in a way brings him a little closer to his parents.
Iron Cross (the Clare Grueller incarnation) is a character Toro literally would not have met without being an inhuman. Sadly we don't get to see much of them interacting besides mutually telling inhuman eugenics guy to fuck off and/or fight them (a great basis for a friendship if you ask me) Here we enter head canon territory. I personally think it would be really cool if Toro and Clare continued to have a relationship, bonding over inhuman stuff/invaders bagage/generally wanting to make the world a better place without ending up in the news. Maybe Toro helps Clare cope with the implications of becoming one with her suit (he's got a lot of experience with cyborgs androids and the like) and maybe she builds him a computer to integrate into his suit that helps him identify unfamiliar chemicals on the fly, or that can show him how to make specific chemicals (like the human-atlantean switch stuff).
Namor. Oh boy. Um, Namor is complicated. As a mutant he's kind of expected to have some thoughts on the inhuman business, and while it seems like he does in the invaders part of the hydra supreme mess, this isn't necessarily the case. (I'm totally writing a fic on this scene later, but he's faking it to try to get toro to leave/distance himself from toro so he can act like he doesn't care) meanwhile, when it's first revealed Namor's actually pretty chill abt it. So may or may not be a factor, more likely to be a problem if Toro's working with/for/ int the interest of other Inhumans, or trying to mediate between Namor and Blackbolt or something.
Anyway, Namor knows what it's like to be something different than you thought, and even something that doesn't really exist outside of you (toro is inhuman, but he's also a hortanesc cyberg a-la-spitfire, and maybe still a mutant- i'll get back to that later) I think much like Jim Namor is very caught off guard by the new powers. Underneath everything, I think he's still tempted to see toro as a little kid, a painfully vulnerable surface dweller who took a bullet to the chest in berlin (bucky's whole 'that could never be you in there so you don't understand' speech really hit a nerve i think) Oh, and Namor also WATCHED TORO DIE after toro PURPOSEFULLY PUT HIMSELF IN DANGER TO SAVE NAMOR. so yeah, no matter how powerful toro gets, no matter how smartly he uses his power, i think namor has a really hard time seeing toro as anything other than vulnerable. Which brings us to the real hard pill to swallow-
Toro can kick Namor's ass now. At least, if he has the drop. Toro can dehydrate him. Toro can manifest vibranium or other super strong metals that can actually leave a mark on Namor. This is a factor with all the invaders, in that toro has all sorts of new tools at his disposal that can make them miserable, but Namor's the one he's (historically) most likely to come to blows with.
And one final point with Namor (godsdamn, you'd think this post was about him) as i mentioned he sees Toro as vulnerable, perhaps more so than even Jim. And this is important. This is good. Toro needs people looking out for and protecting him, even if he's a lot more powerful now.
Alright moving right along hey look it's Bucky. So, unsurprisingly, powers were never that big in bucky and toro's relationship. And power escalation hit them both, only in different ways, so the power imbalance really feels like it's in Bucky's favour if anyone's at this point. The only real effect I can see this having is if Toro gets sucked into some inhuman/Kree/space thingy that involves Bucky as the Man on the Wall (is that even a thing anymore? I feel like I haven't heard about it in a while but i haven't really kept up with Captain America comics lately) Anyways it could be interesting to see these too in that context. See them have a moral debate. How do they handle conflicting duty. How much chaos can they get into on an enemy starship? the possibilities are very fun
Steve. okay, i could write a whole post about Steve and Toro's relationship and how they're foils/reflections of each other. But that's not what we're here for. There are two major points that define Toro and Steve in this context (and tbh most of their on screen interaction give me more marvel pls) 1. Toro's in humanification and 2. Hydra Cap. Starting off with the safer option, Steve was the first person Toro interacted with as an inhuman. Steve was there when Toro first came out of the cocoon, he's the one who explained everything to Toro and probably the one who got to here unadulterated fears/emotions about it. and given toro's history of being used as a lab rat/weapon/both, i'm betting some things came out. maybe some things other people don't know, which puts Steve very suddenly in a position to become Toro's confident. Someone he can trust and lean on with the stuff he'll never mention around the others. Which makes point 2 hurt even harder.
Even though hydra steve and real steve are different people, even though the steve we have now has tried very hard to make up for his evil clone's actions (oversimplification but whatever). It was still steve's face, and steve's voice, and the damage was still done. Toro, who had confided his deepest darkest fears in Steve, got to hear someone who was for all intents and purposes Steve say publicly that inhumans were so dangerous that they absolutely had to be locked away, with no nuance, no consideration. OUCH.
Toro's also in a tricky spot here, bc thanks to our dear friends Mad Thinker and nebulus soviet scientists (probably dept X) Toro knows first hand what it's like to be forced by forces out of your control to be something or someone else. He knows what it's like to come back from that and face the consequences for actions that both were and weren't his. He feels for Steve, but that doesn't mean he can just let it go.
As far as Steve goes, i think it's just really, really awkward now. He's very clearly still trying to heal the damage as recently as Invaders (2019). He's painfully aware that Toro is an inhuman and was thus very personally wronged by Hydra Steve, even if he isn't aware how far down that broken trust goes. He's spent years mending bridges with friend foe and stranger a like. But toro never mentions it, it's just floating there between them.
Toro was one of the first "mutant" super heroes. I know there are plenty of theories out there about what extent he expired/was related to magneto, prof X, and all the mutant stuff going down in the 60s. Him actually being an inhuman is definitely going to shake things up there, and it complicates the whole Inhumans v. Mutants angle. Could be very interesting both on general and personal levels.

your ship, character and fandom opinions are so based. i'm also a poly robin shipper so it's nice to see there are more of us here. anyway, i'd love to hear what are your all time favorite dc ships and why, and if you have any headcanons (sfw and nsfw) about them. or you can just ramble about any fic ideas you have, the ones you've mentioned already are very interesting.

picking a favorite ship is so hard, because im a multishipper and real big on leaving my options open so that i have the most opportunity in any given story!! like, brudick and sladick are both ones i love for dark stories, but they each give such different angles and paths that you can take. all combinations of robins are dear to me for different reasons. and even within the context of one ship, i can usually come up with a lot of different directions that they can go it!!
i can't even say "X is my favorite for Y types of stories" because with a good pairing theres so much you can do with a variety of types of stories!! so. def cant pick a favorite, but i can list some that i like! they mostly involve Dick, bc my biases are quite obivious, lol.
Dick ships: Bruce, Slade, Talia, Slade/Talia, Tim, Jason, Steph, Damian (but it depends a lot on context, i see Dick as being very careful about not taking advantage), any poly robins combo, Slade/Rose, Tara
other ships: Slade/Rose, Slade/Talia, any robins together, Bruce/Talia (but only if Talia is having daddy issues about it), Nyssa/Talia (Nyssa repeatedly kills and revives her to make her understand her anger at Ra's. the rituals. they're intricate i swear-)(but also in arkham knight Nyssa compares her love for Talia to Bruce's explicitly romantic love for Talia and i've never been normal about that), any combo of the Al Ghuls tbh they're so mentally ill about each other
so uhhhhhh. really you could pitch any Dick ship at me and get me talking. if anyone wants to ask about that list ur welcome to lol
fic ideas!!! i have some shorter ones, like a Blackfire/Robin non-con based on that one scene from tt03, but i kinda wanna take this chance to ramble about my longer ideas!
u may have seen some of these, but i have a series called "days without incident" which is a bunch of shorter than usual fics stringing together random semi canon compliant scenes of Dick being in dangerous sexual situations, which are eventually going to end in a rlly angsty fic of Dick being assaulted and just accepting it. it sounds dark, and it is, but due to the length and format they really just serve as quick writing warm-ups more than anything.
DIDick AU. a friend of mine has been on the receiving end of so many DMs of me fleshing out these alter OCs, to the point that it would feel weird if I didn't write anything for it. the problem is that when I think about it, it all revolves around characters and there's no real plot line to use for it. I could just rant about it, bc figuring out what I want to do for a story about them is really tricky. it's also tough bc it's a teeny bit more personal than I usually go for. do /I/ have DID? unclear. I probably wouldn't tell you either way. anyways, it's an idea i want to more with but it's just more complicated to work on than most others.
suicide fic. "Where The Dead Stay Dead", title in reference to this being in a "Jason Stays Dead AU". i want to take a sort of dark comedy direction, but i have trouble controlling how the tone ends up when I write. Dick tries to kill himself post Jason's death + many other bad times but Slade just happens to pop in to try and bother him that day, and is uh. he doesn't know how to feel about it, the kid dying in front of him, but he drags Dick to a safe house and does some made-up comic book science fuckery to give Dick his healing factor. Dick is not very happy about this when he wakes up. the rest of the story follows an arrangement where Dick searches for a way to perma die and is generally a depressed grumpy bitch about everything, and Slade secretly tries to get him to stop doing that while trying to figure out a way to revive Jason. whichever ends up being easier. a lot of it would probably just be about Slade feeling lost with this "new" version of Dick, as well as the two of them swapping stories about dead loved ones and learning how to mourn.
timcel fic. that was the placeholder title, before i settled on "Nature's Order (As Told From Alpha To Beta)", but i still call it the timcel fic for short <3 the alpha in that title is Ra's, and the beta is Tim. the kick off for the story is that Ra's kidnaps omega Dick to use as a human incubator bc he and Talia had a spat that's left him heir-less, and he kidnaps Tim to make Dick more compliant. it's a really extreme take on "right wing alpha male pipeline, but omegaverse". it's gonna be a lot of bad times for Dick <3 i've talked about it so much with my friend that one time they mentioned basing smth partially off of Nature's Order Tim, and I think that's a good sign that I should really be writing this properly at this point. I have started chapter one! but bc it's gonna be a long one I want to get three chapters done before I start posting, bc having a few extra chapters written will help with my nerves a bit.

(sorry this is a dark one) How would Saffron Evan have reacted had Michael's suicide attempt been successful?
post under the tag bc. a lot of suicide mentions.
I mean, Evan IS pretty desensitized to death by this point. But he isn't necessarily desensitized to the death of people that he knows.
Evan has prooooobably killed Suzie by this point? In my timeline, he kills Suzie shortly after Mike runs away. So in a version of the timeline where Mike took Ev with him only to get caught, either Suzie doesn't die at all or William has Ev kill Suzie when he gets Ev back. And Evan killing Suzie is not only the first time Ev kills someone, but the first time that someone Evan knows dies since Liz.
Mike might have even comforted Evan after he killed Suzie in this au. There isn't really much reason for William to keep what he's been doing a secret anymore, so he might be treating Ev and Mike equally in terms of manipulating them into being killers. If Mike wasn't there when it happened, then he probably knows about Ev killing Suzie and tries to comfort him, as much as it is possible to comfort someone as they scream and kick and bite and hurt you through their terror and pain and anger.
Evan still hates Mike. This time when Mike comforted stands out as a single moment when Mike acted strangely and didn't hurt him, but there are a lot of little moments when Ev thinks Mike should have hurt him but Mike didn't. Ev just refuses to let these little moments build into the idea that "maybe Mike changed after he almost killed me, and he doesn't want to hurt me anymore." There has been a lot of moments where Mike lashed out at Ev because of how controlling Will has been, and for Evan's part in constantly tattling about everything Mike does.
But losing Mike is also losing a sense of stability, in a way. Mike has always been there. It's weird to be without him.
And it's weird to be without his punching bag. Being able to show himself that the monster that hurt him for so long wasn't invincible but could in fact be hurt (by Evan of all people) was a source of comfort. Now that source of comfort is gone.
Evan might lean even further into the murders to make up for it.... and he might be frightened to find himself thinking of all the broken families left in his and William's wake. But maybe he doesn't let himself think about it too much.
Evan's emotional reaction to Mike's suicide would, ofc, be complicated.
It bothered Evan that William tried letting Michael in on the murder stuff; that was supposed to be HIS and William's thing, something that Will had specifically chosen to share with EVAN and not with MIke because EVAN was stronger and more worthy of William's love. William suddenly letting Mike into that would feel like a betrayal. It'd make Ev angry and Mike and more desperate for William's approval.
On a surface level, it's a relief that Mike is dead, because Evan no longer has to compete. Clearly, Evan IS the stronger one, the one worthy of his father's love.
But now, Evan can't hurt Mike anymore. He loses that outlet for his emotions and that reminder that, yes, the invincible monster that hurt you CAN be hurt back, it can be stopped.
It'd be traumatic for Evan to find the body of a person he actually knows dead and covered in blood on the ground, rather than some nameless faceless person, even if it happens after Suzie. But I kinda get the sense that it wouldn't stop Evan from being manipulated by William into continuing being, well, the Saffron Pawn.
Even in the normal au, Evan stays under William's control until 1) he realizes William was just using him, and 2) he realizes that maybe Mike (and therefore others) can care about him after all.
William's abuse driving Mike to suicide could potentially make Ev have the first realization if Ev doesn't write it off as Mike just being weak, but Mike's suicide wouldn't fulfil the second one. So Ev probably still stays on the same path.

favorite thing about him: he's a dreamer, which makes him smart not only in the traditional sense and his strategic abilities, but also in the sense that he's driven by hope and curiosity. he's inquisitive but cautious, he's thirsty for knowledge and driven by it even when he's shaking with fear and that's something i understand, love and admire in any character/person.
least favorite thing about him: he was a bit too whiney in early episodes, which is why it took me a while to like him.

Thoughts on the “friendship narrative”
Note: I wrote most of this a few months ago and never posted it but now that the shit show is over i thought I could bring this back up
I made another post that did kinda well about the beginning friendship narrative before but of course everything was completely wrong. I guess it could still be the same idea used in a different way so if you wanna check that out here's the link.
Anyway, like i said that was about the beginning of it but lately I've been thinking a lot about how the rest of it might unfold so here are a few thoughts:
So i think most of larries' first instincts on this are that it is gonna be very low key, very casual and believable and very much like almost any other stunt but maybe a bit better done. And for most of it i agree, there are definitely so much more possibilities for it to happen like this. Louis and Harry are very private people and i am sure that even when they start dating publicly (if they do) we would still not see much of it.
What is the problem with that then if we all agree on it? well i was thinking, what if a public discourse is started over this whole thing? what if people from the general public somehow start to believe/realize that maybe they were actually together all along? or start finding things fishy? or even if that doesn't happen, what if they decide to get the most out of the announcement of their relationship? what if they decide to create a big ass narrative that everyone (both fans and gp) will happily and completely eat up so they can save themselves from any risks and keep absolutely everything (meaning, the public's opinion on it and the media as well) under control?
Well, my mind is crazy and I've been thinking about this for a long while so I'm gonna tell you what I came up with:
Disclaimer: this is more than likely not going to happen but it would be in my opinion a good idea and a great way to get the most out of it.
Imagine they make a big ass very dramatic narrative. I'm thinking they make it so big and dramatic that it has everyone completely fed up on it the same way everyone was obsessed with the Olivia/Joshua/Sabrina drama last year.
also i was thinking they make it so they can subtly deny that Larry was real before and it just actually became a thing recently.
i know it sounds kinda ridiculous but bear with me.
in very basic words, this could be the narrative:
they always liked each other, there was always tension, maybe something happened on the early days when they were both single but decided not to do anything about it bc they didn't want to affect their work and their band mates. they were always close and they kind of always knew they were each other's “the one” but we're too scared to admit it. but then, boom, they are suddenly spending lots of time together again for whatever reason and now that they are both single they realize that they want to be with the other but still don't talk about it, they have a complicated relationship where they are not boyfriends but they are also not just friends and everyone can see that even if they don't accept it. they talk about the other with stars in their eyes and they mention being each other's person, everyone suspects and ships them but they admit in a badly disguised sad way that they are not actually together. there can also be some other big drama like someone else getting involved, they can feed Harry's womanizer/afraid of compromise image and make it out to be like, by trying to not fuck up things with Louis, he dates another woman, maybe he gets in a hotel with her and gets out alone the next morning looking regretful, and then make it more dramatic to make it seem like Louis is heartbroken, and then somehow harry apologizes and then they are very obviously together and happy for a while before they announce it.
i know. it sounds like a fanfic. but just imagine how fed up and invested people will be. we all know they can eat up basically any narrative they're fed but this impossible love/soulmates way too dramatic thing is definitely something they'll love.
Now I'm going to explain how this thing could work out without making it too suspicious with way more details.
Phase one: we were always in love but it was impossible to be together.
it could be something one of them actually talks about publicly on some talk show, i don't know why but i see harry saying this.
“oh yeah, i had a massive crush on him, and after a while i found out it was kinda mutual but we decided not to do anything about it bc we didn't want to affect the band, you know those were other times and it probably wouldn't have worked out, not bc i didn't love him, i did, still do, he's my best friend, but having to hide? i don't think we would've been able to manage that” and then someone comments how it was kinda obvious that they liked each other and harry says that there was some tension and that it was a pain in the ass to go through all that pining but in the end it was for the best.
he could also talk about writing some songs about that, like something great, happily or just a little bit of your heart “oh i wrote that one about being kinda in love with him but having to accept the fact that i would only ever be his friend bc we couldn't be together and he was already with someone else and therefore i would only have a little bit of his heart, it's wired to finally say it but i guess we're both out now so i can talk about it” the GP would be dying and sobbing on the TikTok comments from that part of the video with the song playing in the back.
i can also totally see people being like “oh noo, that's why he could never have a serious long lasting relationship until years after he lost contact with Louis, because having to spend time with him never allowed him to fully move on and fall in love with someone else, noOoO😭😭😭”, so tragic, so convenient, so perfect.
now i bet you're thinking, how would he bring that up? well, maybe after months or maybe longer of them again being publicly close friends a host of a show can “find” that video of harry saying that Lou was his first real crush and the classic “it was mutual we discussed it” bc that is pretty much the biggest most easy to believe Larry proof.
with this, the plant will be seeded, i can garantee you so many people will start shipping them without knowing shit about Larry and it'll all start. this also practically eliminates any possibility of past Larry “rumors” to ruin this thing, everyone will see that we weren't completely, but still mostly wrong.
Also like i said, obviously most people won't look into Larry bc they don't think it to be that important and with the help of the media it will be easy to control the narrative.
Phase two: the rebirth of a love that never should have (or maybe never) died.
okay so basically this is the normal typically stunty part of the narrative, they will spend more and more time together and they will make it seem as organic as possible. not too many paparazzi, and those will of course actually look natural. they could slowly (at least Louis) start to be more active on social media, like posting more pictures and videos and Instagram stories that will slowly start to include harry more and more, but of course, all very subtle. their friends and family will help as well, talking about them being together, casually posting them together (perhaps some pics or videos in which they are accidentally caught in the blurry/barely visible back, a bit more close and touchy than normal), all that stuff. they support the others projects and go to each other's concerts, they party together and stick to each other on public events like awards ceremonies. this part will last a few months.
they will also be asked about Harry's statement and say that no matter what, they love each other and are the other's best friend but no more than that, like i said earlier, looking a bit down about it.
they are so cute and so obviously in love that everyone ships them, normal people who aren't fans probably don't even listen to their music will make edits about them, everyone is anxiously waiting for the latest news the tabloids are gonna give on their relationship.
of course I'm not stupid, so many people will be hateful and awful about it, but mostly it will be fine, it will be the new hot gossip of the year. plus, we've seen how much people enjoy dramatic gay love stories (hello? young royals and heartstopper)
Phase three: Oh no! Drama!
Now this is gonna be the real catch, the part where absolutely EVERYONE will know what's going on, the part where shit will start trending and everyone will be oh so worried for them.
this is also kind of an optional part but like is said, if they decide they want to milk it, this is definitely the way to go.
there could be two kinds of drama:
they are too afraid of what will happen and when one of them can't hold it anymore and confesses and the other runs away.
some model gets involved.
now, obviously the first one is a lot harder to make bc how would the public find that out? bc of the tabloids? no, that would be too obvious. some paparazzi that just happened to be there to film a big dramatic fight where one waits for the other to say they love them back while on the pouring rain? no, again way too fucking obvious and telenovela like, so no. i don't think we can go with that one. so we can just go with the good old womanizer/afraid of compromise image that everyone loves and knows.
maybe a few days before the model fiasco happens they are seen way too close together, perhaps almost kissing or actually kissing in a very blurry potato camera filmed video. people are going crazy, they are actually together wtf!
and then nothing. at this point they were together everyday, maybe people were already suspecting that they are living together but now they are not getting nothing. what happened?
Oh No! Harry what have you done?!
everyone is shocked! what happened? was it never real? and if it was, did harry cheat on Louis? or were they never something serious? still why would he do that to him? that is so shitty!
and then a few days later, Louis shows up at a concert, looking sick and devasted and then he sings a very sad dramatic song, it could be a break-up cover song, or even worse, a new romantic song that everyone knows is about harry because it's just that obvious, but he can't get through it trying to control himself, maybe not being able to do it, he starts crying or stops the concert.
everyone understands now, there was something there and harry fucked it up, but why?
and then harry somehow explains it, probably singing a song, making it seem as the only way he has to apologize to Louis, he has to make it publicly bc Louis just won't let him get close.
so sad, so dramatic, such great food for gossipers.
Phase four: reconciliation! yay! finally the happily (kdbxskjd) ever after!
we see them together again, except now it's different, harry is way more obvious and it is very noticeable that he is trying to win Louis back but he's already done that, Louis is obviously just as in love with harry but perhaps taking his distance for while just in case.
time passes, they are okay now, better than okay, they are together.
from then on they could announce their relationship or not, and if they do it, it will be very simple I'm sure, that's just how they are.
but yeah, anyway! this is a good narrative they could do, people would absolutely eat it and by the end they could get a big part (hopefully a majority) of the public to accept their love.
let me know your thoughts, i know this sounds crazy and like way too much but people love that kind of shit, i would too tbh.

Alden, 2. What is your character's favourite weapon/way to fight?
His no1 weapon is the Xoris. The same way I canonised Kohlrabi's frame being a Volt Prime waaay before the Sacrifice bc Volt was my starter, Xoris is also chosen for Attachement Reasons. I love that thing to bits, it got me through so much of the game, and even now when I no longer have one single favourite weapon it is still Up There
His fighting style is fast and flashy. He's far from tanky but he's nimble and quick-witted enough to avoid getting hit most of the time, feet barely touching the ground, an eye-catching moving target. He knows that as long as he keeps attention on himself and avoids getting hit too bad, his allies can either get to safety or deliver blows from the shadows to more success, whichever is applicable at the time
Watching him fight is a bit like watching a dance
Alden, 14. How (not) okay are they with being a Warframe?
It's…complicated
Were he conscious during The Old War (he wasn't anything stronger than a flicker, unlike Lanius) he would've hated every second of his twisted existence. He used to tear at Orokin rule from the shadows, fight a war from behind enemy lines, and they made him into something polished and obedient, a gilded attack dog to do their bidding
He would've done everything he could to tear himself away from Tenno control and take a swing at the golden bastards one last time and die trying (he would've loved Kohlrabi even back then. But he didn't need a telepathic leash and he would've had no intention to drag a child down with himself)
I talked about him having a reasonable level of self-preservation before, but were he conscious during the Old War, that would've gone out the window. He would not have seen himself as alive anymore, and so with no life worth protecting. He would've readily died to land just one last blow on the Orokin
But! None of that happened, so! In present day, he…tries not to think too hard about it? He tries to be neutral at least bc there's no way of changing this now aside from dying, and he does not wanna die. He has a family and a purpose. He doesn't like being seen by strangers as an instrument of war, but it's a useful cover sometimes, and the things he can do as a warframe but never could've as a human help him protect ppl
What "being a warframe" is had changed the day the Orokin Empire fell. Alden no longer has a leash around his neck. He was made from something horrible, but now exists as himself. And he decides what that means
If he could, he'd choose to be human, and he doesn't like looking at it like "well at least something good came of it :)" but he also sees himself as a whole, living being, and tries to live his life as such. Some days it's easier than others
Higgins, 7. What is your favourite thing about this character?

On a meta level it's that ppl enjoy him. Like this blog used to get shitall interaction esp in the OC department and now it gets a lil bit more and that started around when I mentioned how inadvisable it is to allow Higgins in a kitchen. Ppl other than me seem to be fond of this shortass lab safety violation and that makes me really happy
On a less meta level…look, i love individual characters dearly but at the core it's relationships between characters that really drive me to write. And Higgins is fun alone but three times as much when it comes to his relationship with North. I'm having Such a good time subjecting them to Situations. They're idiot best friends and they bond via body sharing and they'd die for each other. Higgins gets to be both the comic relief and the angst potential of his own story but that wouldn't work without North being the other half of everything

can you give more background to the retirement fic. like were nicojack in a relationship or establish their feelings for one another or has it been pining and unrequited feelings from both sides. who’s clarkey? jack chose to leave when he hit free agency?
i totally forgot that there was zero context to either of the scenes i posted, so the answer is absolutely! quick disclaimer that i have not figured out much of this stuff either (which is probably why i didn't get too far with the fic) and a good portion of it is also credited to lil greenteam for making my ideas much more logical.
relationship-wise, my thought was that they'd never been in a relationship, but they hooked up the first time they won the stanley cup and like obviously it was great because it was each other, but nico didn't know if they were on the same page at all about where they were at or what they wanted, especially not after he woke up the next morning and jack was already gone. and then jack never mentioned it, so nico figured that it was a mistake, that's all - one he wouldn't make again.
and then a couple years later jack went to vancouver and stopped talking to nico, period. suddenly nico was texting him all the time and never getting a response, calling quinn to see if jack might have changed his number in case all his messages weren't going through, waiting outside the visitor's locker room the first time the canucks came to play and watching jack walk right past him.
jack pov of this is obviously much more complicated and includes this whole thing about feeling like he'd been dragging nico down and that he had to learn how to live without needing nico and wanting him in equal measure, etc etc rumination on growing up and not quite knowing how to!
re: clarkey, it's graeme clarke! i imagined the roster in that fic as mostly a grab bag of devs prospects and utica players at the moment, as well as a couple of younger rookies whose names i just made up, but yeah - mostly just to serve my own purposes because at nico's age, the majority if not all of the current nj roster would be retired or gone, especially those he's closest with.
re: jack leaving, i actually did not Really think through how he left the devils, which is odd because it's literally the whole driving force of the fic, but in my head he got traded bc they didn't have enough cap space - he wanted the organization to trade him instead of letting him walk the year after so they could at least get something in return for him. he had an ntc at that point so he got to be like "canucks or nothing" so he could play with quinn and obviously the canucks made it work!! (possibly the most unrealistic part. the canucks have never made it work. but ANYWAY)

A lot of people seem to not like the manga as a starting point but its what hooked me. I saw will stetsons lost time memory and I was like "what???" "thats it???" and found the rest with my brother at like 2am. the mangas slow fun pace that is instantly cut off by horror is fun, the flashbacks are great characterization.... the only part i didn't like was the dissonance between Harutaka in mangaroute1 and mangaroute2.
it was a bit confusing.
anyway do you prefer the anime or manga's version of takane as she seems to be your favorite character. (for me its gotta be the manga, the anime just did not do it)
the manga is what hooked me too! back in january 2014, there was tiny vinnie binging all the songs and what was available of the manga at the time in just one day...
i think the reason ppl dont recommend the manga as a starting point is the second manga route. personally, i recommend the manga as a starting point but only until volume 4 after the route we start with is over. and then i'd come back to second manga route when im done with everything else!! my kagepro recommendation is 1. songs 2. manga until everyone dies lol 3. novels 4. finish the manga 5. anime.
the thing with the manga is that it doesnt rly go into what the normal route is for very long. we keep saying second manga route but its like, idk MOST of the manga is that route.
i do like the manga for the same reasons as u, but sometimes im a little eh bc of mahiro sato's obvious knkd shipping and stuff lol. and i did write a whole bigass answer abt why i hate what happens to takane's character in haruka's arc in the second route. otherwise i dont mind the difference all that much. and i love her as ene in the rest of it. its just a few things that drive me crazy ok ill just link the post lol sorry i just have. um. strong feelings.
OK UR ACTUAL QUESTION hmmmmm well yea i'd say the manga or novels. i get what u say abt the anime but truly the anime did not do it for any of them LOLL there was barely any time for anything let alone good characterisation. like come on there's 11 main characters and 12 twenty four minute long episodes. wdym u dont like anime takane she was there for like (checks) 40 or 50 min in total?
takane is incredibly sidelined in the anime much like everyone else cuz. lol. AGAIN. kagepro is not somehting u can fit in a 12 ep long anime. yuukei yesterday in the manga and novels goes a lot more in depth about takanes personality and relationship to haruka. not to mention they put kano's little Disguising Myself As Someone Dear To You That You Have Regrets About on her instead of shintaro which was crazy. to me that did so much damage to kano's character. i wouldnt call myself a kano expert bc he's an insanely complicated character to tackle LMAO but... i dont know. i just dont think he would do that to ene. shintaro is one thing, we all know kano's little thing abt shintaro, but ene?? its like, he does that to her BECAUSE of the thing with shintaro. kano's pissed and frustrated at everyone moving on while he's stuck behind and ESPECIALLY at shintaro and takes it out on ene for being the main reason why shintaro is moving on. its a little unfair. i dont think kano would be THAT disconnected to do that. not to mention when he pulls that trick on shintaro he isnt half as harsh as he is on ene!! he just kinda spooks him (tho ofc thats enough to send shintaro spiraling LOL) while to ene he's like YOURE THE WORST FUCK YOU and then the way ene kinda laughs it off after also pisses me off LOL yeah kano could do this im not saying its COMPLETELY ooc but he would be in an incredibly despaired rock bottom moment and he'd be super apologetic about it later. post str kano and takane friendship *holds head*
and if you read the novels and kano's feelings and thoughts over takane it makes me sad that's what they chose to do in the anime bc in the novels kano regards takane as someone he's jealous of bc of how confident she is and "her ability to doubt people" and how he thinks they're similar ppl. like we rly dont give enough credit that TAKANE is the first person kano ever opens up to in his life. he even says the conversation they have might as well be the first conversation he's ever had with anyone, and they both head out to the hideout being the ones who have to admit something to the people dear to them (kano the whole clearing eyes thing to kido, takane the ene thing to shintaro) and its not for no reason!!! kano sees something in takane. he knows theyre similar, but at the same time he is jealous. that together sounds a little like he wishes he could be more like her. OUGH. and how they just chose to translate that whole thing into kano being awful to ene and berating her for trying to save shintaro is soooo fucked up. it bothers me so much. #notmykano
WHY AM I TALKING ABT KANO THIS IS ABOUT TAKANE. OK i was driving my point abt how the anime isnt a good judging point to any of the characters LMAO and i guess i wouldnt be able to tell u which "version" of takane i like best, or anyone for that matter. to me all medias are the same version of the same character. im in too deep all of them. the takane that almost kills kenjirou for outing her as lightning dancer ene is the same takane who admits it by herself. idk. guess its a good question but i dont have a good answer. thats also why i hate second manga route takane bc she does shit i dont think she'd do and it pisses me off LOL
