I wonder why each little bird has someone to sing to, sweet things to, a gay little love melody (*´∀`)♪🎶

This drawing is a little celebration for Crowley’s card that will be dropping soon on the 19th! The lyric above is from Sleeping Beauty 🎶 Crowley and Lilia give me the vibes of those older couples who always like to dance or sing along to music, no matter how bad or good they may be at it. The Magical Gramophone is in the background, which can apparently play any song from memory. What song would they listen to? 🤔

Ever since the Crowley-Levan theory became more well known, I heard many say that it meant that there would be potential romantic undertones (past or present) between Crowley and Lilia, and…I genuinely thought that was part of the appeal! ｡ﾟ(ﾟ´ω`ﾟ)ﾟ｡ Levan theory or not, I really like them. What is their ship name? Crowlilia?? If anyone knows, please let me know!🐦‍⬛🦇 Crowlilia nation where are you…

I don’t really think about headcanon stuff that often, so I thought it would be fun to think of some random headcanons as I went along with the drawing!

It would be fun if Crowley had feathers on his body that are usually covered up by his suit (I absolutely adore Falin from Dungeon Meshi). I see some incredible JP artists draw Crowley with these puffier sort of pants, which I also love. I think it would be interesting if Crowley had a sort of greyed-pale, slight splotchy purple and yellow skin tone, like a deceased body that has reached the pallor mortis stage? (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) It causes an uncanny and uncomfortable feeling whenever most students look at him…there’s just something wrong with him and no one wants to ask NAJXJSJD (I’d like to think that it’s blot related, and his long-term exposure to it has Not Been Good for him 💀)

For Lilia, I think he deserves some bat-like ears ^_^ I imagine him to have scars all over due to his past as a General. I ended up drawing his torso and legs less as thin as they are in canon by accident, but I kept it because I think he’d have a better diet now than his General days as well! (*ﾟ▽ﾟ*) I am jealous of Lilia,,,I’d like to dance with Crowley! (● ˃̶͈̀ロ˂̶͈́)੭ꠥ⁾⁾

I’m really no good at thinking of relationship headcanons haha, so I’d love to hear everyone’s ideas about them! Even though their silliness would technically be combined in a relationship, I feel like Crowley and Lilia could balance each other out? Despite all the antics they would certainly get up to, there’s a mutual acknowledgment of each other’s life experience and age. I can imagine them idly talking about parts of their own pasts over tea or a stroll in nice weather…maybe not huge chunks of backstory, but just little moments from their long lifespan that has stuck with them since. Crowley could potentially become more responsible because he’d be fretting over Lilia’s gaming time ANJDJXBD. Crowley would absolutely eat Lilia’s cooking and to him it would taste good…crows/ravens can eat pretty much anything like meat, berries, garbage and carrion so I don’t think Crowley would be upset about the chopped liver randomly inserted into his meal 😭 Even if they don’t really look it, to me they really give off the vibes of the typical image of an older couple! 🤣🐦‍⬛🦇

Genuinely I would give anything to hear your thoughts or read more critical analysis of yours on other webcomics writing (*slides you Marionetta* I like the webtoon but there are some things in the writing that I'd like to see be discussed critically more often but the fandom focuses way too much on shipping. sighs..)

Anyway, you probably have been asked this before but are there any webtoons in particular you would recommend? :D

Oh lord, you don't know how many times a week I get asks in my inbox asking for my opinions on webtoons they're reading. It's really sweet that people wanna hear me talk about other works outside of LO, but unfortunately I just don't have the time to read as much as I used to, even keeping up on LO lately is getting really difficult 😅 I'm definitely keeping a list though of works to check out!

That said, I try not to read series on the basis of criticizing them because frankly I just... don't want to spend time reading something if people are only looking for me to rag on it? 😆 Of course I know that's not the only reason, I know there's also just the element of seeing me talk extensively about other works the way that I do with LO, but it's not really something I can turn on and off like that, I have to get really into a series to want to talk about it to that extent. So it often comes down to just luck of the draw :'0

Right now the series I'm keeping up the most on (or have completed and would absolutely 100% re-read):

Alfie (18+, it's porn with plot but the plot is REALLY GOOD , I SWEAR LMAO the art is gorgeous, the characterization is IMMACULATE, and it ironically tackles the subject of purity culture way better than LO ever has lol)

Theia Mania (the creator is often in my comment section / neck of the woods, she's been working on an Abduction of Persephone retelling for a long while now and has also tackled other myth retellings in her style! I always love seeing new pages of her work in my feed :' ) <3)

Tales from Alderwood (if you like fantasy and comedy, this one's great, the plot's really starting to get interesting and it's just got this really great sense of humor about it)

The Black Parade (this one's REALLY interesting, it's a comic-stylized version of My Chemical Romance's The Black Parade, using the songs as narration and sometimes even dialogue to tell a visual story, it's really cool and the art matches beautifully with the lyrics and style of MCR!)

A Tale of Two Rulers (this is a Legend of Zelda fancomic that poses the question, "What if Zelda and Ganondorf got married to solve their political crisis?" It updates a lot slower than most of the other comics I follow but the art and writing is so worth it <3)

Dogs of Future Past (and p much all of Lynx's Undertale comics which can be found in the link, seriously, THESE are the comics you wanna read if you wanna get into Undertale fanworks, they are PEAK)

Tamberlane (this one's an anthro comic, I normally don't read anthro but this one actually gripped me by the throat, the art is gorgeous and the character arcs so far have been great!)

The Mafia Nanny (okay it's legit so funny that I'm including this one here but I've been reading it the last couple days after seeing it basically beat out LO at the top of the trending tab for a couple days, so I figured I'd give it a shot, at first I was like "great more tropey shit" but the more I read it the more it's actually started to get pretty good, I'm holding out and hoping to god it stays that way LOL it's not especially deep or anything like that, but it's really fun and cute to read and the shipping of the main character within the narrative isn't too self-absorbed which I can always appreciate, I'd honestly be 100% fine with it if it didn't turn into a romance)

City of Blank (I talk about this one a lot here, but it's one of my favorite Originals right now, the art is super polished and the writing has gotten INTENSE, go check it out if you want some fun action / sci-fi storytelling!)

Time and Time Again (a time-travelling vampire and his werewolf boyfriend get into all kinds of misadventures, what more could you ask for?)

Touch of Divinity (like the Mafia Nanny, this is one I just started reading, it's got a very interesting premise so far and I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes!)

I think I also saw a post explaining that if a ship in the fandom got too popular, the network producers would try and force that ship to become canon.

It's like, I love Charlastor, but I really don't want it to be canon. I feel like non canon ships are more fun!

yeah!!! 100% agreed, and I despise it when producers actually let that happen too :/ Glaring very hard at the grossly entitled people a good while back to tried to sway their preferred ship into canonicity by doing petitions....

I wouldn't want charlastor to be canon tbh.

It's, frankly, wild to me that so many people even equate shipping to exclusively mean "to root for two or more characters to get romantically involved in the source material", and any exploration of dynamics beyond that is then frowned upon, shamed or invalidated.

To an unfortunately large amount of people, shipping is little more than a popularity contest :')

To me, a huge part of the appeal in shipping is that it's a means to explore interpersonal character dynamics from a piece of media in ways we don't necessarily see happen in canon.

I LOVE non-canon ships for the fact that they leave us with SO much creative freedom! [more in-depth thoughts + what appeals to me about charlastor under the cut]

It allows us to hypothesize and experiment in-depth with how these characters would find their way from one type of dynamic into a different direction in so many different ways, without canon to give us one solid path to stick to.

One trope I'm very fond of in fanfiction in particular has always been slowburn with a touch of mutual pining - when a dynamic is truly given room to breathe and naturally grow into different directions and REALLY digs into the involved characters, it enables the authors to thoroughly lay out why and how their feelings change, what affected them in the process and how/when they eventually choose to act on them!

Character analysis is my bread and butter, so if a dynamic strikes my interest it's almost always because it has something unique about it far beyond just wanting to see them all lovey-dovey bc it's cute (though that can be part of it lol).

Charlie and Alastor as a combination are so intriguing to me because they're in many ways polar opposites, but simultaneously also have just enough similarities to leave a lot of potential for a genuine bond.

They combine the most conniving, manipulative, steadfastly and proudly immoral person with someone whose good intentions color absolutely everything she does, who also has the willpower and moral code to see it through.

They're like a forbidden, alluring dance, endlessly circling in each other's gravitational pull - which parts of them will prevail? Who will inevitably buckle to the other's influence first? What draws them in? What drives them apart?

I love watching Alastor's masterfully crafted plans get absolutely thwarted because he can't get a consistent read on her - a being who's - by her very nature of being part demon and part angel - a bundle of contradictions.

I'm also extremely fond of Charlie 100% seeing through him every step of the way and still keeping him around - regardless of his motivations, he is a vital, helpful part of the hotel, and she won't give up on trying to win him over for her cause in earnest.

There are very few things as funny to me as the idea of Alastor -master manipulator - being so far up his own ego, obsessing over getting a figurative hold over this fascinating and yet frustrating princess, that it takes forever for him to realize he's the one being used all along, expertly playing right into her cards.

Simultaneously, there's so many other ways to write them!!! It's just so damn fun to explore all of the what-ifs.

Laigan oneshot

(I’m just having fun with these ship names now)

Ashlyn stepped to the front and clapped her hands. “Ok, so.. my parents have been saying that in order for us to survive, we need to work as a.. team.”

Taylor tilted her head. “Don’t we already?”

“Apparently bonds formed only from trauma aren’t strong enough.”

This seemed to blow everyone’s minds as they all said, “They aren’t?”

Ashlyn shook her head. “No.. so, I’ve decided we are going to split into teams of two by having three people draw one name from a hat.”

Ashlyn turned and picked up a baseball cap filled with torn papers.

“So, who will be drawing names?”

Taylor, Aiden, and Ben all rose their hands.

Aiden jumped from the bus seat bounded forward excitedly as he drew out a name.

“Let’s see.. LOGAN!”

Logan damn near fell out of his seat as he exclaimed, “HUH?!”

Aiden plopped himself right next to Logan and Logan tried to make himself as small as possible in his seat.

Why did it have to be Aiden?

Logan would’ve taken Ashlyn, or Ben, or Taylor, or even Tyler’s aggressive attitude!

He slowly turned to face him and give him a friendly smile.

Aiden smiled back and Logan felt his blood run cold and he quickly turned away again.

Why is he so creepy?! he thought anxiously.

“So, uh, Ashlyn!” Logan blurted out. “What sort of team building exercises are we going to do?”

“Well.. my dad said that in his time in the military, the best way to form bonds is helping each other in life or death situations, and having heart to heart conversations. And, well, we already have the first one down.”

Everyone looked a little confused. “How are we supposed to have those just.. casually?” Tyler asked as he sat next to Ben.

“I don’t know!” Ashlyn exclaimed. “That’s just what he said!”

Everyone looked awkwardly at their partner. Well, except Aiden. Logan was pretty sure it was impossible for Aiden to feel awkward.

“So, um.. Aiden.. you like.. dangerous stuff?” Logan asked, trying his hardest to keep himself from freaking out.

“Ya! Haha, one time I jumped off a ski lift. The way my ankle snapped was so weird, but also funny, haha!”

“Oh, um.. ya.. haha..” Is he purposefully trying to freak me out?! What the hell?! Someone help me!!! “Um.. well.. one time I was on a hike with my family with our dog and he ate some oleanders.. that was pretty messed.. haha..”

“Oleanders?” Aiden asked, suddenly seeming genuinely interested.

“Oh.. um.. they’re these really toxic flowers. They can cause irregular heartbeats. And seizures. My dog had a really, really bad seizure after eating it. He just kind of.. flopped around before he dropped dead.. haha..”

Aiden’s eyes widened and he cleared his throat after a moment. “Descriptive..”

“Huh? Oh! Uh, I’m sorry! I, um.. I didn’t really think about it!”

“Ha, it’s fine, man, don’t worry about it!” Aiden said, wrapping his arm around Logan’s shoulder. “You got any more stories to tell?”

“Oh.. uh.. oh! So, my aunt works at a hospital and one time she was babysitting me and I had to go to her work. And this patient had burst into the hospital, vomiting everywhere and passing out. He had eaten a death cap!”

“A death cap?! That sounds so cool, what is that!”

Logan wasn’t even aware of the proximity of them, or the fact that he was talking to Aiden. He was just excited to talk about things that interest him.

“They’re these very poisonous mushrooms. They cause nausea, low blood pressure, and vomiting. The mortality rate for eating them is at 30%!”

Aiden seemed a little let down by that number. “30%? Really? What’s the most poisonous mushroom, then?”

“Oh, um.. the death caps are..”

He raised an eyebrow. “Really? That’s it? Man, that’s just so low..”

“You.. want more people to die??”

“Well, no. But it just makes it more interesting, doesn’t it? Kind of like the same morbid interest of watching true crime..”

“I guess I understand?”

There was a moment of silence between them.

“Do you know all these plant facts because your grandparents are florists?” Aiden asks.

“Oh, ya..”

Aiden smirks. “Kind of like how they got us access to drugs?”

Logan’s shoulders jerk up and he quickly gets defensive. “H-hold on, it’s not what you think! They were just able to get the drugs because they have poppy flowers which are used to make opioids! N-NOT THAT THEY MAKE OPIOIDS OFTEN, OR EVER!”

Aiden burst out laughing, clutching his stomach as he fell out of his seat. “Oh! Oh my gosh! Your face! Haha!!”

Logan’s face went red and everyone turned to look at them, curious.

“Ummm, A-Aiden.. it wasn’t that funny.. haaaa..” He grabbed Aiden’s arm and pulled him back into the seat. “Quit being so loud!” he said quickly, his face bright red.

“You quit being so embarrassed all the time!” Aiden countered.

“I-! Ughh.. Aiden..” he whimpered, covering his face.

“Pfff.. cmon, Logan. Keep rattling on random facts about deadly plants!”

He still seemed hesitant before saying, “Have you heard about the Sandbox tree?”

“Oh? No, I haven’t!”

Logan smiled, knowing this would be right up Aiden’s alley. “Their seeds.. explode!”

Aiden gasped. “No way!”

“Ya!”

“How dangerous is it?”

“Pretty dangerous. It can severely hurt humans. Not to mention that it’s poisonous all over.”

Aiden burst out laughing and pat Logan’s back. “You know what I like!”

Logan laughed along with him as he rattled off more plant facts. Eventually plant facts moved facts about how deadly space is.

“They actually have no idea how black holes function?! Movies lied to me!”

Logan snickered and nodded. “Same here!”

“What do you think happens? When you enter a black hole?”

“Hmm..” Logan thought for a moment before saying.

“You’re lost in a void. There’s no up, there’s no down. There’s no escape. Only fear and loneliness and existentialism as you stay there forever. Your cells won’t age or change.. so for eternity, you’re stuck there, never able to achieve freedom…”

He looked up at Aiden, who seemed very, very surprised.

“O-OR, UM… maybe you just come out on the other side! I-I dunno, haha!”

Aiden chuckled and shook his head. “You have some pretty dark thoughts. Just different from my kind of dark. I like it, though.”

“Y..You do?”

“Ya! You should say more stuff like that. It’s really interesting!”

“I…”

“All right everyone!” Ashlyn exclaimed. “It’s getting late. Cmon, we don’t wanna fall asleep on the bus.”

Aiden stood up and held out a hand to Logan. “Cmon.”

Logan was surprised by Aiden’s genuine friendliness before smiling back at him and letting him help him up.

“I think today was really a smart idea, Ashlyn,” Aiden said to her.

Ashlyn nodded. “Glad to hear it. My dad will be proud of us, I think.”

Logan smiled at that. Proud of him…

Hi I've been watching WOY and I was wondering if you had any ideas or headcanons for Commander Peepers?

Hello! While I have thought about this a little bit, I actually came up with some new ones thinking about this some more, and it was pretty fun! Anyways, without further ado (drumroll, please), here are some headcanons/ideas for Commander Peepers:

Coffee: I'm sure this one's pretty common, but I think that Peepers more often than not will drink his coffee black for the bitterness and caffeine but quite enjoys drinking sweeter coffees (like lattes and cappuccinos) and will sometimes allow himself to drink one for enjoyment.

I think that it is a possibility that Peepers initially joined Hater in order to use his power and eventually subvert him. But... he ended up getting attached.

I think that Peepers is actually rather feared/respected by the other Watchdogs, and this especially so because Peepers has a lot of control and power within the Skullship and system of operations, organizing most things within the ship.

This is pretty much canon, but I'm pretty sure Wander helped Hater and Peepers build (or rebuild) their friendship. Especially because Peepers seemed genuinely fearful of Hater and the fact that Hater could use his power against him but slowly grows more comfortable around Lord Hater and more confident in his ability to deal with him.

This one is very random, but I feel like Peepers might not be the best artist but certainly respects art to a certain degree (though there are still styles that he looks down on, like abstract art and cubism).

I think Peepers lacks the skill to draw well but can definitely doodle. I think he probably doodles occasionally while dealing with paper work, though he does the unthinkable and does it on a separate piece of paper (after all, he can't mess with the documents and look irresponsible or childish or any great number of things)

This one's also pretty much canon (The Brainstorm), but Peepers is really good at making and editing videos, even if just for a presentation that the person watching won't appreciate (Lord Hater). Still, he puts a lot of time and effort into it and ends up being really proud of them. (once Andy finds out and gains the confidence, he will definitely beg Peepers to edit one of his videos (just one!) with all due credit)

Also practically canon, but he really does respect Sylvia and considers her a rival, still relating to her as a generally level-headed fellow who has to deal with a childish friend

"#open mick night" is a wreck of a tag but technically it's for anything more personal or anecdotal. Sometimes it means "not tf2" but more often it means "gameplay anecdote"

I tag for slurs (reclaimed or otherwise), excessive gore, body horror, drugs, and mentions of pregnancy more explicit than the baboon uterus. As I'm in the development stages of my SPM AU comic, I've been working on character designs.

For this page we've got most of Count Bleck's crew. This is where I first drew up the current designs I use for them. Here you can see my clear bias for Dimentio lmao. I drew him far more than the others. I also fiddled with his design a lot. When it comes to my favorite characters, I have trouble designing them cause I want to do them justice. Mimi is here a lot cause I just genuinely enjoy drawing her. Count Bleck has an interesting facet to his design, where when he's Count Bleck, and has the hat on, you can't see his hair or ears. Shadoo and King Croacus are also featured here. I honestly love them, and think they don't get enough love from the fandom. I'm really happy with both of their designs as well. Shadoo is made of white line art due to her being a shadow. I could go on about the little details in Croacus' design that were taken from his canon model, but I won't lmao

We also have some designs for Luvbi. I wanted to lean into how Nimbi are like angels, so her arms are like an extra set of wings to reference the biblically accurate angels. In the bottom left corner we have some Shaydes, the Spirits of the Underwhere. I wanted them to vary a bit more than just the two we see in game. Their variations also make up some of the different races we see throughout the SPM universe. We'll see more Shayde variations in the actual comic when I make it.

about Kyle and HUMANCENTiPAD

I only feel comfortable talking on this specific issue because it's not solely regarding head-canons or ships and I prefer to avoid infighting over more inflammatory topics to the best of my ability. Also, Tumblr allows for more nuanced discussion so I'm putting it here

This is not an aimed post, it's just my two cents

I want to start by saying I don't think someone is horrible for preferring to draw the most “canon-compliant” version of characters. I follow this in my own way. I'm commenting on why this is a concern to me as one Jewish fan. I don’t speak for anyone but myself.

While there are exceptions, it is discomforting to see Kyle with these mouth scars for many reasons. I think S15E1 is pretty torture-porn-y as far as South Park goes (I don’t have a better term for this, sorry). No, I honestly don’t feel grossed out or disturbed by most episodes. Yes, it’s a comedy, and rightfully, if you don’t have the stomach for South Park, don’t watch it; to some extent, this also applies to the fan works which explore canonical dark tones. We also know Matt and Trey can take it too far and have in the past. S15E1 just is one of those personal thresholds for me, although this post isn't really about the morality of the episode.

Anyway, there’s a big argument about Kyle’s scars representing his overcoming of trauma, etc. but I disagree with this defense on why they should be there. If we genuinely wanted to talk about Kyle overcoming trauma, we would talk about the primary source of his trauma: how Kyle, even in more recent plots, is constantly harassed for being Jewish. We would also allow for more open conversation about antisemitism in the fandom, especially in the form of fan art. Kyle’s religion is irrelevant to how he wound up in the situation of S15E1. Therefore, the “overcoming trauma” point feels dishonest and inaccurate to me, especially considering the episode is just one long joke (vs South Park storylines which are more serious). It’d be fairer just to claim drawing it for fun.

For comparison: Butters has an eye scar; this is widely accepted within fanon. I have depicted it too. However, the optics of giving a blond-haired Roman Catholic white boy a minimal scar over his eye is way different than giving prominent scars over essentially half of a Jewish character’s face. Plus, it’s fair to say that an eye scar is usually regarded as a “beneficial” character design element regardless of origin.

Butters’ scar, while it would be a traumatizing injury, was accidental. Indeed, the conceit of “Good Times With Weapons” is the shitty way Butters is treated by the people around him. Kyle’s scars, on the other hand, would be from purposeful torture, and it’s lately been depicted not just as two sutures on the sides of his mouth but as large amounts of scar tissue shaped like an eerie smile. If it's to be scientifically realistic, then fine, but by that logic Butters should be blind in one eye or even more likely missing it, and other characters would be visibly scarred in different ways as well.

In addition, Butters’ appearance is widely and commonly depicted as “cute” - for lack of a better word - so adding a comparatively small and pinkish scar to a generally positively-regarded character (at least in terms of conventional appearances) is not the same as adding highly exaggerated scars to a Jewish character that fans generally don’t seem to think of as “soft” or even approachable the same way they see Butters. I draw Kyle with his kidney surgery scar, so I hope I am making it clear that scars are fine on characters. Of course, facial scars are very different. Still, when you stretch the scar tissue into an uncanny smile over half the face of a minority character from a one-time torture porn gag, it’s fair for people to be upset.

From my point of view, it’s off-putting because it’s about how a Jewish person (myself) sees fandom treat a Jewish character in particular; one who is frequently on the end of vitriol from within canon (Cartman’s abuse, most often) AND fans (that is: a whole subset of fans who think Kyle is cruel, heartless, and manipulative, and stress it) and it is arguably a symptom of something more insidious and deeply alarming than folks might want to admit.

I’ll be the first to say that Kyle’s canon features deserve faithful depiction, even within stylization. Moreover, facial scars don’t carry inherent personality traits in real life. But fictional character design does not exist in a vacuum, and some people are virtually insisting that Kyle be as aggressively caricatured as possible. Please remember that for centuries Jews have been (subjectively but societally) associated with ugliness, weakness, dirt, and disease. Be mindful when portraying Kyle as extremely blemished and essentially inferior or ostracized. It’s not because facial scars are these negative traits: it’s about what they mean in context to certain characters. We all internally moralize what we dislike. As such though, it’s troubling to observe that this fandom scrambles to talk about why “feminizing” Kyle is hurtful to Jewish people, yet there’s no such section defending it as there is one defending Kyle's stigmatization.

With the final chapter of TCWKTM by @crinklytinfoil upcoming I have decided to celebrate with more doodles. YAY!

(Did I say upcoming, I meant release. Apperently I posted this 3 minutes after the last chapter updated)

I don't know why I have decided that Shrike always wears those night vision goggles(?) now but they look cool at least(GOD I LOVE THEM).

I think I've finally gotten a hang of Dani's hairstyle for my design which is a blessing because in order from the easiest to hardest hair texture to draw is Coily>Straight>Locs>Wavy>Braids>Curly with a jump of times 4 from braids to curly(My hubris for giving Cyan short curly hair has and will continue to keep biting me in the ass).

Speaking of Cyan, I've also updated him. He always has eye bags now cause he feels tired now, more so than the start of the fic at least. Since, unless I've missed something, he's still wearing Black's suit I felt I should make it a part of his outfit. One of the issues I was having when I drew him though was that we still call him Cyan but he wasn't wearing cyan anymore which is an issue when I read the story but when I drew him it just felt odd. My solution to that hangup of mine was to keep the suit and belt black’s but give him the gloves and boots so there's at least some cyan still on him since I don't think it was ever stated that Johnny cut those off, there wouldn't be a reason to and they would fit him better than Johnny's anyways. He also isn’t wearing his backpack thing or helmet(not that I ever drew anyone with theirs anyways) since I figured they probably lost it or some shit. In this pic no one is wearing theirs but that’s just because I wanted them to look like they were chilling, Cyan straight up doesn’t have his.

Funnily enough this is the one that took the least amount of time to make, I started it yesterday and finished it like now though I do attribute that to a stroke of sudden inspiration that I was able to draw in my sketchbook so honestly most of the work was the coloring.

Drawing these guys just kinda being silly is so fun it's unfair, especially Purple. This man has done so much bullshit, I should shoot him on sight but the moment I pick up my pen he appears, the motherfucker! A pretty fun aspect of these purple are, as you can see, he's using Grey's skin. While I'm pretty sure in the story he looks the exact same I figured it would be more fun for drawing purposes to mix the two of them together to create some distinction rather than just drawing Grey with a purple suit.

My design for Grey had him as average height but more stout(at least comparatively for my artstyle) while Purple was a little more scrawny and tall which worked well for what I wanted to do. His bangs are center parted when Grey's bangs are gathered in the center. Also I drew their expressions differently, when it's Purple I draw his more bitter/sour, I decided that most of his expressions are squinty and tend to furrow the brows while Grey's are more, I'm not sure how to put it, genuine?

As you can probably tell I really enjoy trying to come up with the character's designs myself but I know when to throw in the towel and admit someone did better than me. I tried to come up with a design for Olive/Finch myself but I just could not come up with one I liked even equally let alone more than @krysmcscience 's design. They really captured their energy well so I’m just using theirs.

Ayy, I drew my take on good old Johnny boy. I think I did a pretty good job making him look older without him becoming a mass of wrinkles.

Drawing Flayer's ship was pretty fun, I've been trying to draw backgrounds and objects more so it was good practice. We obviously don't know what it actually looks like yet other than it is made of flesh and metal so I definitely had to just make shit up. For these bitches sake I hope it's bigger than what I designed because it is going to suck otherwise. Just as I'm typing this I kinda already wanna redesign it though.

I went for something more simple based of the premise that ships are complicated and difficult to make; the whole thing is kinda supposed to look like the flesh is doing a lot of the work to keep it together to compensate for a lack of technical knowledge and skill but just now I remembered that Flayer was the head of the mechanics so she almost certainly has more than enough knowledge and experience to make a good ship on her own even without the flesh. Oh well, I can redesign it when we learn more. I'm keeping its face though, the face was a completely but incredibly happy accident.

Also, I find it interesting that the Imposter’s missions are usually about them destroying biomechanical technology but one of Flayer's named imposter abilities is to use her genetic material to create machinery that fuses artificial and organic material.

I'm pretty sure these were all drawn sometime before the new year but they were all I had and I didn't want to post one image of doodles so enjoy them now.

While I am still proud of Brown and Devon making out I think my favorite doodle here is Cyan and his judgmental ass face. Why is he staring at Finch like, he is not in any position to but judging like that.

I also borrowed Kry's designs for Red and Umber, I couldn't help myself for Umber, it was just too perfect!

Not sure how I feel about my take on Skeld!White(Finnegan I CANT-). I'm not sure if it's just I'm so used to seeing Kry's design that anything else feels weird or just that I made him too baby faced and princessy. I tend to draw men that are very pretty and feminine so I think I went overboard when I tried my hand since he was usually described similar to how I would normally design a man.

Apologies if someone's already asked previously and I've missed it, but as a fellow enjoyer of the threesome of Trey, Riddle, and Che'nya, I'd love to hear your general idea of the dynamic on these three as well as any headcanons you may have! (I'm someone who adored TreyRiddle first and am just genuinely surprised that it's such a far and inbetween ship in terms of popularity so it's always just very refreshing to see and hear other's views on it!)

I talked about both of these ships, but I don’t remember talking about them together! this is an interesting topic, Anon. Sorry for the wait, it took me some time to think about this.

I do have some headcanons! But I kind of got carried away a bit lol so the first three are focusing on the psychology of it all… in a way. I can’t help it, these guys’ brains are too fun to examine:( I ended the list with a couple of lighter/hornier ones though.

Also, it might seem like there is a Trey/Riddle bias, but it depends on how you look at it I guess. It’ll make sense after the first one. Hopefully! I guess.

Their dynamic is pretty balanced, but not really symmetrical: Che’nya loves Riddle, but he isn’t someone to be committed to one person or get jealous at all; and Trey has been in love with Riddle ever since they were kids and wasn’t able to move on even during the years of their separation. Che’nya wouldn’t mind stepping aside at some point and leaving these two together, but for that to happen he needs Trey to fully admit his feelings and directly confess to Riddle and ask Che’nya to leave. That doesn’t happen, so nothing is stopping Che’nya from having fun with Riddle~ Che’nya sleeps around, but Riddle is one of his favourite boys.

Their first time together happened pretty spontaneously, Che’nya pretty much provoked the other two. I picture something similar to this drawing, but these three had a lot of moments of mutual tension prior to this. Che’nya just started appearing at their dorm more and more often at some point and teasing Riddle, both to enjoy himself and to poke Trey towards facing his own feelings. What a friend!

Riddle is very confused about the whole thing and doesn’t want to think about it. Because if he starts to think, it falls apart in his head: he can’t have relationship with both Che’nya and Trey, he shouldn’t be doing these things even with just one of them, let alone both at the same time. Whenever Riddle is with them, he gets this nasty feeling in his heart that he is prohibited from having fun with them (ah nice memories), but at the same time, he mentally returns to his happy place… I’m not sure if this whole thing is therapeutic or traumatic to him lol It feels right, but as if it’s too good to be true. Thus, he just shuts his mind off whenever they start making out.

And it’s surprisingly easy for Riddle to stop thinking when he is with these two! It honestly surprised Trey and even Che’nya a little bit, even though Che’nya was like “of course he is like that, who wouldn’t melt when his chin is getting scratched?” as if what he does is exactly that… In actuality Che’nya just touches Riddle everywhere and licks his body with his rough tongue until he starts whimpering.

Riddle was very surprised when he got bitten for the first time, but he figured that it’s probably natural for Che’nya who is a beastman. What he didn’t expect is that he would find not only Che’nya’s bite marks, but also Trey’s. Riddle is usually to aroused to notice what exactly is going on, so he had no idea that Trey was biting his sides, arms and chest too…

Che’nya is kinky, and he knows that Trey is kinky too but is too afraid to scare Riddle away, so a lot of times he just starts messing with Riddle and pushing his buttons to show that even if Riddle protests and gets all red, he enjoys things that Trey would’ve never even considered as acceptable. Riddle also wouldn’t…… but there he is, getting all hot and bothered because he got aggressively tickled.

I like to think Crossed wands isn’t that exclusive Lucan is just really strict and kicks people out a lot. I also had so much fun writing Crossed wands stuff in my Ominis x MC fic wanted to explore what other students fighting style would be.

Ominis

He tried out because Sebastian begged him.

The most graceful duellist you would ever lay your eyes on.

Never misses. Never loses. IF you are lucky and get even a single hit on him, he goes FERAL. He is a naturally talented wizard due to his Slytherin blood so he will OBLITERATE anyone who tries it.

Is the only known ‘member’ other than MC to have beaten Sebastian.

Didn’t join officially because he didn’t want people to assume Gaunts are savages

Only returned to Crossed wands once. And that was to spar against Duncan when he was invited to join.

Duncan forfeit…obviously…didn’t even make an attempt

Sebastian

Can get away with a LOT because he’s charming.

If be blasts you into a wall, it takes one conversation and you’re apologising for being in the way

One talk with Lucan and he’s laughing, all is forgiven

Lucan let’s him get away with some BS because they’re friends (and because Sebastian is the best and puts up a good show)

Did panic when you beat him DADA that his position in Crossed Wands would be compromised

HUGE relief when you decide to partner with him instead of rivalling him

Has a weakness to crowd control spells

Doesn’t know why just can’t seem to repel them

Is surprisingly good at getting out of them though, probably from practise

Froze him? He’s out of it in seconds before you can cast your next spell. Floating? Doesn’t even care. He’s either casting whilst floating or he’s on the floor before it matters

Is usually how he gets a hit in from people underestimating him

Isn’t as bad as people make out. He’s just a bit of an idiot. Think Neville vibes

Garreth

Is a Pureblood wizard so very talented after being exposed to magic his whole life

Fighting isn’t his thing, gets really bored in match’s and just starts levitating people and doing nothing about it. Just let’s them float and laughs.

Got REALLY bored and started tossing potions around. Giggled like a mad man when the fireworks display of potion carnage enveloped the stage. Received a warning for it

Was permanently banned after he downed a Maxima and Focus potion before a duel with Sebastian. Almost beat him. They only noticed he’d took the potions cause he was violently shaking afterwards. Sebastian found it hilarious.

Natty

Almost as graceful as Ominis…almost

No one bothers using Expelliamus as everyone knows she can cast without a wand

Terrifying to go up against

She smiles sweetly the entire time, laughing sometimes

okay this is gonna be my general reaction post for episodes 2-4 of the reboot, so spoilers are UNDER. THE. CUT.

okay so one: I have never been more conflicted about a ship in my fucking life

this is ripaxel specific, because of course it is, what else would we be talking about here

on the one hand, no, not in a million years, what are the writers thinking, what insanity is this, I'm so confused and not in a good way at all

but on the OTHER hand...he did opt for using something she liked in a unique way to get her attention, and was like, mega cringefail about it but it still worked??? SHE liked it??? that's the important part.

so???? i'd have to see further how they progress with this before I decide, because oh god was the secondhand embarrassment horrifying during these past few episodes

i AM relieved this is like, a cheating in the GAME plot and not a cheating in the RELATIONSHIP plot because that is ALSO a TD Taboo and I was afraid, they're still adorable and have an actual narrative, god bless

For anyone who has come in late to this conversation:

My friends and I have been using our own terms for shipping characters together we don't necessarily think 'belong' together.

Jar Ship

This came about when one of my best friends got confused about me saying I shipped two characters I definitely didn't think should be in an actual relationship, I just enjoyed the messed up dynamic. The way I described it was by saying "basically I want to put them both in a jar, screw the lid on tight, put it at the back of the pantry cupboard and see what kind of mould grows." They loved it and we've all been using jar ship for that type of dynamic-enjoyment ever since. The sub terms that have sprung out of that for further details so far are:

Brown Sugar Jar - A toxic ship that genuinely looks like it will be adorable but one of the characters is extremely toxic and draws the other one into the jar with them via nefariously sweet-seeming means.

Ship In A Bottle - An entire group of characters, usually from across different stories and universes though not necessarily if there are enough in the one, who are so damn toxic in different ways that would be perfect for exploring the worst but most fun kinds of sparks flying that you really really want to trap them all on a tall ship out at sea together and watch the chaos unfold as they torture each other the whole trip.

Snowglobe - Our group's personal sister term to the already common term Crack Shipping, but it's distinguished from crack shipping specifically by it being fluffy with the ship's story itself not seeming to know or care that it makes no sense and the characters involved are behaving at least somewhat if not usually drastically out of character specifically in order to make the fluffy dynamic work.

Terrarium - This is not really connected to jar ship things because it's actually used more in a hoping-to-be-positive-long-term way but basically this is for when you don’t know whether or not actually shipping the characters will be healthy or if it'll be kind of cool but also probably need to sort some shit out before it is healthy but also you're really really curious so you give them a little environment with a good bit of space to be around each other without being necessarily stuck too close together and try to keep it nice in there while you monitor them and see how they're going in your little could-this-ship-work-as-an-actual-ship-or-will-they-have-to-be-jar-categorised? terrarium.

At first, he only saw you as a material to his researches and nothing more. You visited him in Dragonspine every now and then, you didn't really get the chance to get to know each other.

However, he became more and more curious - he had so many unanswered questions that could be answered by observing you. And so became spending time in the mountains part of your daily routine.

Silent observations also turned into hours-long conversations, and after a while (with a little help from Klee!) you two decided to call each other lovers.

As much as he'd love to spend all day and night with you, he still puts work first. After all, it's understandable; researching and alchemy has been part of his life since forever, he can't suddenly let it go.

But don't worry a bit, you also have your fair share of his precious time! Once he finishes work, you're the first and only one he's looking for.

Beidou is known for being carefree and wild, so please pay attention to what she's doing. Yes, she's a grown woman and she knows common sense, but she crosses a few boundaries sometimes.

It doesn't matter what you two are doing or where you two are, she always pays extra attention to your comfort and well-being. - The pub is too noisy and crowded? Let's go outside and get some fresh air! - Someone is making you feel uneasy and nervous? You have a protective arm around your shoulder and a sexy pirate telling that person to kindly f off.

Whenever you don't join her on adventures, she always has a cute picture of you with her. Sometimes she gets anxious that you won't be waiting for her at the docks when she returns; but when she sees you running towards her, welcoming arms wide open for a big hug - she knows she's got nothing to worry about, because you always have each other in the end.

Literally nobody knows or understands how you and the 6th Harbinger started dating. You're a mortal, average person, he has a status and wields unknownly strong powers. How? Why? It's all so mysterious to foreign eyes.

Truth to be told, the situation is much less complicated. You happened to be in the outside market in your hometown in the heart of Snezhnaya when Scaramouche was gathering informations from suspicious merchants in disguise.

You accidentally bumped into him due to the crowd, but he kept his facade on and apologised himself. The small talk you shared was quite amusing - to you at least; after the two of you parted he couldn't help but roll his eyes.

Despite his inner objection, several accidental meet-ups happened and Scara uncautiously memorised the exact times of your arrival in the market during the week. However, one day you didn't show up - for some reason it bothered him. The next time he saw you, he admitted he missed you that day.

It would take him a while to introduce you to his true self. He kept his Harbinger status a secret from you for a long time; it took him at least a year to confess these things to you. When you do find out about his occupation, you both have a short phase of doubt, but you figured there's nothing that could make you love him less.

God forbid him from admitting, but he has a huge, i mean HUGE soft spot for you. He appears much more relaxed and less short-tempered when you're around. If he does lash out (either at one of his men or you), he remembers to watch his tone and calm down.

When he's away on longer missions, he has some of his subordinates watch over you. Even if you insist you can take care of yourself, he's worried about your safety.

There's absolutely no way to win an argument with Scaramouche. When he's wrong, he'd acknowledge it in himself and storm out of the room. After he calmed down, he'd come back with either a small gift or some snack you like and hug you tight, giving you small kisses on the side of your face. Does he admit he was wrong? No. But it doesn't really matter as long as you're at each others side.

𝕋𝕙𝕠𝕞𝕒

You visited Ayaka often - as your friendship with her grew, you became a frequent guest in Komore Teahouse. This of course lead to meeting the energetic blonde often as well.

The three of you had a very healthy and peaceful relationship... until Ayaka mentioned how you and Thoma would look adorable together. The whole balance collapsed and you didn't dare go anywhere near the teahouse for a good week - even if you spotted Thoma on the streets, you tried your best to hide (and so did he if he noticed you too).

Ayaka found this situation extremely childish, and needless to say, she wanted to put an end to this. She invited the both of you to a stroll in the city, clearly mentioning that it was going to be just you and her. There was indeed two people; you and Thoma. Ayaka was nowhere to be seen.

Either way, you spent the day together, talking about all sorts of things, finding out new traits about each other - at the end of the day Thoma decided to say goodbye with a kiss.

Although he's pretty busy with his chores everyday, he spends every free minute he gets with you. He doesn't find anything else important enough to waste precious time on; so once he finishes work, he's all yours.

Absolute SUCKER for cuddles, even if you're not that into it, he has to touch you somehow to fall asleep. That be either holding your hand, having your legs touch, the list could go on. But of course, he prefers hugging you from behind and pulling you into his chest, placing sweet kisses on the top of your head until you both fall asleep.

An absolute MENACE to society - you basically have to be his babysitter. When you first met, he was laying drunk in Angel's Share and you decided to pay for his drinks. You originally planned to look for him so you can ask for money back but you got along with him so well you forgot about the money.

He's not shy to tell you he's the Anemo Archon. Although it was extremely difficult to believe, he successfully convinced you after a while. It was a whole evening of listening to all sorts of songs about his past life (at least the part he's comfortable with mentioning).

Appears behind you and scares you when you're talking to Katheryne at the end of the day. It's a sign that he's ready to annoy you spend some time with you!

Cuddlebug and e x t r e m e l y clingy. Tell him when he's too much and he'll leave you alone for a while, but he won't be away for long. Expect him to knock on your window after 10 minutes of your alone time.

Surprisingly, he doesn't want you to pay for his drinks at all. He had the idea to ask you to before, but he figured you already have so much pressure on you; he has to deal with his own problems.

He also loves accompanying you while you go shopping! He helps you pick herbs and ingredients for dinner, carries some bags and talks to you about all sorts of things while you're browsing items. He also likes to hold your hand while you're walking down the street, he's so happy to show off that you're his <3

As a frequent guest at teahouses it wasn't difficult to meet Zhongli a lot. You both consider each other a "regular person", but it wasn't until a late-summer evening that you actually approached him to have a chat.

Listening to his stories about ancient Liyue was quite relaxing over a cup of tea - you have to remind him to drink sometimes, don't let his tea go cold! He'd be very sad and feel kind of embarrased😭

When you first met Hu Tao, she reffered to you as "Zhongli's date". You froze in an instant, unsure what to say. After all, it wasn't difficult to fall in love with him; the more you spent time together the more fond you grew of him. Thanks to this sudden comment, a confession from the both of you happened shortly after.

You know he loves to talk. He can blabber about so many things for so long, he loses track of time sooo easily. Whenever that happens, you can snap him back to reality with a cute kiss on the lips! He will get flustered and apologise for talking too much. It's not hard to forgive him :)

He especially likes chatting with you while you're cooking! He will even give you a helping hand if you need it, in the meanwhile you can tell him about your day, ask him general questions you need to know because he - obviously - knows the answer. Even if you don't ask, he likes telling you interesting things, it's one of his love languages so please appreciate them!
