#'he's probably lonely' THEN SPEND TIME WITH YOUR SON
Text
thinks very hard about that indigo disk cutscene at crystal pool. how the player character is the catalyst for EVERYTHING in scarlet/violet... both good and bad.
from the discovery of paradox pokemon, the professor's eventual death BC of that discovery, arven losing the only family he has, the ai and paradise protocol continuing to bring in paradox pokemon despite the dangers they present, paldea almost being destroyed by paradox pokemon, everything that happens in kitakami and blueberry academy, finding terapagos and meeting the prof...
like I know it's a kids game and the game is About paradoxes and that professor is theoretically from a different reality, but i feel GUILTY for that alternate reality and all that will come bc I gave the professor the book. so many lives will be shifted and changed bc of that decision. juliana/florian are just KIDS, but god they (and briar, since it her book) just affected the lives of so many people and I just! that's so crazy to me!
I already loved what pokemon has done with multiverses and alternate realities, but scarlet/violet kind of takes it to the next level (at least in terms of fic and art potential - I'm v curious how they incorporate this into the anime and manga)

Its been awhile and i have another OC to share LOL gotta draw brain rots instead of keeping them in your head forever ☺️💖
Name: Aurore Dormir
School: Royal Sword Academy
Pastime: Escaping school to wander in the nearby forest, spending time alone
Hobbies: Sightseeing, Gardening, Fencing.
Family: Father, Mother , *Brother ( silver, please refer to the last note regarding my own theory)
Tumblr media
Aurore is a third year student at RSA, currently house warden of the sleeping beauty inspired dorm.
Aurore is also the next king of the Kingdom of Heroes, which naturally made him the center of attention in RSA.
Unlike Malleus whose powerful aura pushes people away from him, Aurore draws people towards him as they feel a sense of security around him.
He was only recently enrolled into school during his second year as his family brought him back from isolation for training, far away from the world’s eyes.
At first glance, Aurore may seem like the ideal dream prince: Kind, Polite, Courageous, Strong and Smart as he is consistent in securing top grades across his cohort. But deep down, he isn’t exactly the perfect prince most of his peers think he is.
Aurore is actually afraid of strangers and overwhelming attention ( he was raised in isolation so meeting humans are.. yeah) He is skilled at hiding his weakness but starts blanking out if there are too many people crowding around him.
As a result, he finds happiness in spending time alone in places where no one recognises him. He usually takes a short stroll around Sage Island’s various forests when his caretakers aren’t looking.
Strangely, Aurore mentions that his enjoyment from lonely strolls only existed because he would suddenly find himself in unknown places as a child…as if something or someone was calling him. But he became mentally stronger as he got older and knows how to guard himself during his impromptu walks.
Tumblr media
Bonus personal theory/lore:
Hi! So if you have been following me since i started creating twst ocs, you would be familiar with a certain comic i drew for an Aurora Oc ( its not exactly Aurore because i didn’t flesh him out) . But to sum up my theory for that comic:
There was once a powerful kingdom that clashed with briar valley, humans and fae did not get along as well back then.
Somewhere in between the war, both of the queen’s sons were cursed by a powerful magician and separated at birth. The queen initially wanted to send her two sons far away from the castle, but only managed to send one tucked away in a casket that drifted on a hidden river which led to a forest.
The war ended a few days later, with both fae and humans forming a truce. The queen fell into depression after realising that her second son probably did not make it and blamed herself for not keeping him a little longer had she known he would have been safe and alive in her arms.
Time heals wounds, and with some reassurance from the King the Queen got back up on her feet stronger for the sake of her people. Of course, sometimes the servants would catch a glimpse of the lonely Queen staring into the far forests wondering if she will ever see those small pair of Aurora coloured eyes again.
Because the Queen conceived her two sons alone away from the servants, only she and the King were aware of their other missing son. The three fairy advisors who had protected them from the very start told the Queen that if word of two cursed princes were to spread, the kingdom would be doomed to fall . The Queen had no choice but to accept this decision, and so they entrusted their only son to the three fairies in case the curse within him acts up. Hence Aurore was raised in isolation away from the world’s attention and only enrolled in his second year to prevent the curse from possibly manifesting.
In this story I created Silver is the missing prince in question who drifted far into the forest and eventually picked up by Lilia. His only proof of his royal status is a ring with an aurora coloured gem (Book 7 mention).
Regarding the curse: Silver was cursed to feel drowsy all the time while Aurore was cursed to follow a voice in his head which leads him to sleepwalk into dangerous places alone. Silver’s hair colour reminds me of the spindle/needle, so in a way he contains the sleeping curse. Like Aurora, Aurore is drawn into strange places by a voice and eventually to the spindle. Hence these two will always feel an unfamiliar sense of closeness to each other.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
“Yao why do you think Silver would have a brother? Much less the RSA guy inspired by Aurora? Doesn’t Silver already have Aurora’s traits?”
In general this is just my own fun theory to think about, but my reasons are because i think it would be interesting if Silver canonically had living family member(s) from a royal family( that ring kinda tells all). It would also put him in place wondering if he should return to his biological human family or stay with his Briar Valley family as he feels a stronger bond with them. With the way TWST tackles issues about fae/human like Sebek from example, i would love to see Silver’s resolve for his found family.
In my old comic, the Aurora OC actually dislikes Fae because of the war. He especially hates Lilia because he believed the war criminal took his own brother away and is promoting peace despite his past.
I feel Aurore would dislike Lilia but eventually learns to see the war from both sides as humans aren’t all that great either, he is still a naive prince with much to learn about the world. So while Silver does have Aurora’s trait, Aurore may have some of King Stefan’s from Maleficent/OG film. TWST tends to combine diff character traits anyways🌝👍
Anyways I adore these two so much and am looking forward to Silver’s past in the future updates! Thank you for reading about Aurore, till next time 💖

NOT MY FIRST RODEO — COOPER HOWARD/THE GHOUL
Tumblr media
masterlist
pairing: cooper howard/the ghoul x reader, mentions of john hancock x reader hehe
description: the tension between you and cooper had been palpable for ages, and he was beginning to struggle to deny his attachment to you — despite his reluctance. he’s certain you’d never really be interested in him like that, until he finds out he’s not the first ghoul to enjoy your company.
warnings: swearing, jealous!coop, sexual references/implied smut, angst, making out, mentions of drug taking
author’s note: writers block was POOF! gone the minute i rewatched fallout last week & restarted fallout 4. hancock will always be my bf so i couldn’t help myself from mentioning him. let me know if u want a part two with actual smut! i only left it out because i don’t really usually write smut on this blog haha.
Cooper Howard and John Hancock were by no means what you’d call friends.
However, as much as it pained him to admit it, the former knew that the latter was — by the standards of many — a good man who’d do the right thing to help others when needed.
That was why, however begrudgingly, he’d suggested that you spend the last few hours of today’s daylight making the short trip to Goodneighbor to stay ‘for a while’.
It was clear that an intense few days, hunting a difficult son of a bitch of a bounty, had very much tested your limits.
He told himself that, given the amount of caps that said son of a bitch had earned you, you could afford a couple of days laying low in Goodneighbor before picking up another job.
Well there was that and the fact that much to his dismay, in the short time you’d been accompanying him on the road he’d found himself irritatingly attached to you.
When he’d first stumbled upon you while collecting a bounty you’d failed to deliver on yourself, you’d enthusiastically offered your companionship and he’d fervently denied it.
You knew he doubted you’d be any use based on your circumstances when you met, but despite your reassurances that it was just because he was the notorious fucking ghoul that everyone went on about and he had simply beaten you to it, he dismissed you with a “not a chance, sweetheart,” and went on his way.
But when he kept bumping into you in the following days, he’d given in and afforded you the luxury of helping him out on this one job — allowing himself the comfort of the excuse that if he really needed, he could trade you for caps and say goodbye to the pretty girl so oddly desperate to be at his side.
You’d driven him crazy at first — full of questions and curiosity, never refraining from voicing what was on your mind.
The way you watched him so carefully, all doe-eyed and attentive, had initially just pissed him off. But in the weeks that followed this had mellowed, and he’d found himself almost grateful to have someone so comfortable around him.
He’d never admit that though.
You’d just been much more skilled in combat than he had expected. That’s why he told himself he kept you around.
He totally just figured that it couldn’t hurt to have someone close by who can handle themselves and is willing to take just a tiny stake of a bounty (on your part, you figured there was no need to take more — he basically spent his share with you anyway).
You, on the other hand, didn’t want to admit that you had been lonely and desperate and missing the life you’d previously been so comfortable in when Cooper walked — well, stormed, into your life.
He might not ever have intended to (in fact — if he’d known, he’d probably never have let you get so close) but upon gradually letting you into his life he’d nestled his way into the empty little nook left behind in your heart.
“Why did you hesitate when I said Goodneighbor?”
Oh yeah, there was that.
When you’d left Goodneighbor all those months ago, you’d left with a broken heart and a head full of hazy memories of the happiness that the place had once brought you.
“I didn’t hesitate.”
“You sure as shit did, and even you know you’re a damn bad liar,” the Ghoul scoffed, pausing his pacing and turning to look you in the eye, “What does a pretty little thing like you know about Goodneighbor?”
You folded your arms over your chest, shaking your head at him as his steely eyes bore into yours, “Nothing. Just odd you’re suddenly so eager to go hide away somewhere when you’ve called me all sorts’a names any time I’ve asked for even a short rest break.”
“You’re full’a shit,” his hand flew instinctively to the shotgun at his hip before he released a deep sigh and relaxed it, “So I’m gonna ask you one more time. What do you know about Goodneighbor?”
You pondered for a moment whether or not to keep lying to him — he didn’t know much of your full past beyond the fact that you’d been a vault dweller a long time ago and been fighting for a living since.
You’d settled briefly in a number of places, though, and he’d heard too many stories about times you’d left settlements for various reasons to believe that you’d be too scared to return anywhere with him at your side.
Especially not somewhere like Goodneighbor.
“I—was living there for a while,” you shrugged, avoiding his gaze again now, “Didn’t like it.”
The Ghoul laughed humourlessly at that, “C’mon sweetheart, you’re going to have to do better than that.”
“I didn’t feel—look there’s just someone I don’t really want to see round there, okay?” your eyes didn’t leave the floor as he took a step closer to you, heavy breaths almost taunting further information from you.
“And who might that be?”
You looked up at him for just a second before eyeing the dust below your feet again, “I was, well, I lived there quite a while. I was—seeing, well, romantically— uh, there was—,”
“Spit it out, sunshine.”
Sunshine.
You’d not been called that since the day you left Goodneighbor the last time, and you cursed yourself for physically recoiling at the sound of it.
“Well I’ll be fuckin’ damned. You got a thing for ghouls, huh?” the wicked grin on his face set your stomach alight with a combination of emotions, “Didn’t peg a pretty little thing like you as the type. That why you spent so long beggin’ me to take you with me? Little vaultie princess desperate for another ghoul to defile her?”
You were crimson red now.
You didn’t know how to react, startled by the fact that he knew who you meant based upon your reaction to the term.
Hancock had always been charismatic and flirtatious though — it was no wonder Cooper had heard him use the phrase before.
You were almost angry, immensely embarrassed and yet, at the same time, a little aroused by even his insinuation that he knew that you wanted him in that way.
You’d found him attractive almost immediately and yeah, maybe he was right and you did seem to have a thing for ghouls.
But you sure as hell weren’t going to let him stand there and make you feel embarrassed right now.
“That’s not it, it’s not some kind of—like—,”
“Hancock got bored of ya and you latched onto the next irradiated motherfucker you came across?” he spat, “Bet you regret it now you know that I sure as shit ain’t nothin’ like your precious old mayor.”
Somewhere in the harshness of his tone you were sure you could detect a hint of jealousy at the root of his mocking.
You sighed defeatedly, “I wasn’t looking for some kind of fucking replacement when I met you, if that’s what you’re insinuating. I just— you just— well— Whatever, it’s hardly like you’ve made any suggestion you’d want me if I made a move on you anyway.”
His eyes seemed impossibly dark now, narrowed on you as his finger reached up to tilt your chin upwards towards him, “Is that right, sweetheart?”
Your legs were like jelly beneath you, a jolt of lightning in your veins at his touch.
“Sure, you flirt with me, but you’re so damn up ‘n’ down sometimes that I don’t know if it means anything,” you shrugged, skin tingling as his fingers lingered beneath your chin, “If I was lookin’ to replace John, it would’ve taken more than you being a ghoul for that.”
If he still had eyebrows, they’d have been raised now, his eyes rolling, “Right, nobody comes close to Mr. Righteous Mayor.”
His breath fanned over your face, his eyes returning to stare into yours as if looking for a reaction he knew you wouldn’t want to give him.
But you were all riled up now — so he was going to get one.
“What, is this a pity party? You want me to tell you he’s not all that? That I’m better off now I’ve found you? Oh Coop… I want you, I need you, you’re better than him. Only ghoul for me,” you mocked, pressing your hand to your forehead in feigned fawning before snapping back to seriousness, as he watched you frustratedly.
“Like I said, you weren’t a replacement. I wanted company and somewhere along the way I’ve been fuckin’ stupid enough to like your company more than I should,” you huffed, “You don’t have to pretend you want more than this flirty-but-I-hate-you-a-little arrangement ‘cos you’re jealous knowing I’ve had much, much more than that with someone else— and another ghoul at that.”
A growl left his throat at your words, his hand meeting your waist and pushing you forward so that your back was pressed against the wall.
“You’re playin’ a dangerous game here, sweetheart,” he warned, “And it’s one you won’t win.”
Your head fell back in frustration and met the wall with a small thud as his other hand pressed firmly against the wall beside it.
“You think I feel inadequate or something?” he snarled, and for a moment you weren’t sure if the question was rhetorical.
“How the fuck should I know? It’s hardly like you let me know how you’re feeling ever,” you sighed, your mind growing increasingly cloudy at your close proximity and his hand still on your waist, “That’s all I meant about John. It’s nice to know someone wants you… Hell, it’s even nice to be told when they don’t no more just as long as you’re being told.”
He was baring his teeth in a snarl still, but his lips began curling back up into a smirk, “You think I don’t want ya? Think I haven’t thought about it when you’re at my side like a fuckin’ dog on a leash looking at me all doe eyed an’ fuckable?”
Your cheeks couldn’t have been more flushed, and you knew he could feel the way your thighs clenched together at his words.
“Then why haven’t you done anything about it?” your response was a breathy whisper, the hairs on your neck pricking up and your heart thumping hard against your ribcage.
“Oh that’s a whole can of worms you don’t want opened, sweetheart,” he licked his lips, “Sweet little thing like you shouldn’t be with someone like me. But looks like I ain’t gotta worry about that, huh? Hancock’s already spoiled ya.”
You broke his intense gaze for a moment, eyes finding the floor as your teeth grazed your lips shyly at the weight of his words.
You couldn’t help the feeling that swelled in your chest at the lingering jealousy, and hearing him talk about wanting you as badly as you’d wanted him all this time gave you the confidence to push it.
“Oh he spoiled me good, you’re right,” you shrugged antagonistically, trying to quell the pain that still sat in your chest — albeit pain that took up much less space now that you’d found Cooper.
He scoffed, “That’s fightin’ talk for someone who don’t wanna see him again, darlin’.”
“Yeah well, he made me the happiest I’d been in the Wasteland since I left the vault and then tossed me aside ‘cause he got it in his head that I didn’t actually wanna be with him, like I must’ve been using him for his power and couldn’t really love him ‘cause he’s a fuckin’ ghoul — as if I didn’t know that when we met,” you grunted, “That’s all the fuckin’ chems for ya.”
Cooper leaned in closer to you now, “Well he’s a fuckin’ bigger idiot than I already thought he was, giving up you when he had ya all to himself like that.”
“Figure he doesn’t care. Might as well be married to Goodneighbor anyway.”
There was silence between you for a moment, nothing but heaved breaths and heavy eye contact as you pieced together what to do next.
You watched Cooper’s eyes flicker down to your lips for a moment, and could almost see the conflict behind them as he battled the urge to kiss you.
“I don’t wanna see him, but I don’t still want him, if that’s what’s stopping you,” you gulped, “In case it’s not loud and clear, I want you. Just didn’t wanna see him without any confirmation you aren’t gonna rock up there and declare me as some kinda fuckin’ pet and humiliate me even more than he did.”
“Enough talk about him,” Cooper growled, one hand pulling your face to his by the jaw, “If he don’t realise what he’s missin’, I definitely fuckin’ do.”
Finally, he kissed you.
Your hands flew around his neck, lips meeting his with equal fiery passion and pure need.
His one hand still remained cupping your jaw, whilst the other explored the waistband of your trousers earnestly, thumbing at your hipbone.
Finally, after all of these weeks of pining and sexual tension, Cooper Howard was giving you exactly what you needed — and all thoughts of John Hancock melted away.
You found yourself pulling him as close as physically possible, allowing him to press you against the wall as he stole your breath with the intensity of the kiss.
“Mightn’t be your first rodeo, sugar,” his lips pressed just behind your ear as he spoke, “But I’m sure as shit gonna make it feel like it is.”

DELICATE — PERCY + DAUGHTER OF PSYCHE
masterlist | rules
❝ do u think u could write a percy x daughter of psyche reader headcannons, maybe one where shes super emotional bc psyches the goddess of the soul and stuff 🤍🤍 ❞ — anon
in which percy dates a daughter of psyche
pairing percy jackson x psyche!reader
warnings none
on the radio . . . delicate (taylor swift)
“Y/N, can you help with something?” Piper said as she barged in your cabin
Being Psyche’s only child, you got pretty lonely watching everyone else interact with their siblings. Luckily, the Aphrodite cabin decided to ‘adopt’ you, seeing as you had your emotional intuition in common
That’s how you became good friends with Piper, and how you ended up in this position: being dragged out of the comfort of your cabin and all the way to the beach
Proudly presenting you to the boy you recognised to be Percy, son of Poseidon, Piper said, “Y/N's a daughter of Psyche, she can help!”
You looked at Piper, eyebrows furrowed in confusion, “I can help with what?”
Percy answered for her, “this hippocampus is in pain and won’t tell me anything. I inspected it for cuts or anything like that, but she looks fine!” You didn’t need to hear him to tell he was exhausted. His aura had spots of dark red signifying his tiredness
You gave Percy a smile, channelling all of calmness in yourself as you said, “it’ll be okay, I’ll take a look.” You were glad to see it work - the red spots lessening. Using your voice to influence people’s emotions was something you were still working with Piper on
As soon as you got near the hippocampus, you knew what was up. Once you got it to relax, you told them, “she’s not hurt, she’s pregnant.”
After that day, you started hanging out with Percy more. Well, if you called ‘doing occasional checkups on Sweetie the hippocampus’ hanging out.
The two of you, along with Will Solace from Apollo, guided the hippocampus through her pregnancy. You read her emotions and Will administered the necessary medical support
Percy was just there because he’s a child of Poseidon and the hippocampi really wanted their lord to be there, as they believed it’d bless the child
When Sweetie finally gave birth, you couldn’t help but be a little disappointed. You really enjoyed spending time with Percy, and now you didn’t have an excuse to
Could you just ask him to hang out? Sure, he’d probably agree. But you wouldn’t do that. Stuff like this is really delicate to you, and needs to be treated with utmost care
Luckily, he did the asking for you
“Y/N!” Percy yelled. It had been a day since Sweetie gave birth, what could Percy possibly need from you?
You turned, “is Sweetie okay?” Ever since that day at the beach, you’d grown really attached to the hippocampus, and would hate to hear that something had gone wong
Much to your relief, Percy said, “Sweetie’s fine, I just wanted to thank you. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have even known she was pregnant. Do you wanna get ice cream with me later today? My treat.”
Your smile widened and warmth flooded your heart, “sure, Percy, I’d love that.”
The ice cream broke the ice between you and Percy, and soon enough you were laughing as if you’d been friends your whole lives. For someone who isn’t a child of Psyche or Aphrodite, Percy was pretty good with people
Your issue is that he’s too good. When he’d shoot you one of his handsome grins, or gently pull you into his chest as you’re about to bump into someone, or check you for scrapes after a game of capture the flag, you couldn’t help but fall in love
However, he was so oblivious. Every time you read his aura, you were disappointed at the lack of pink in it. How could he still see you as a friend?
Confused, you decided to consult the Aphrodite cabin
Another night, another sleepover at the Aphrodite cabin. From the perfume samples to the face masks, you loved it all
Clapping her hands, Piper sat on the floor next to you, completing the circle. Instantly, all of her siblings stopped talking, “we have something to discuss. Y/N, if you will.”
“So, I like Percy–” you heard squeals from all directions. Piper shushed them, “continue.”
“I like Percy, but I don’t think he likes me back. He does things for me - things that I associate with romance - but every time I read his aura, there’s nothing,” you sighed
The circle was silent as the Aphrodite kids thought of solutions to your issue. After a minute, a girl piped up, “have you done anything to show that you like him?”
“Oh yeah, I gave him one of my chocolates yesterday.” Instantly, you felt judged, “I don’t do that for anyone,” you added
The girl next to you turned and placed her hands on your shoulders, “that’s the issue, Y/N. Sure, to you that's the epitome of romance, but it's a little too subtle for most people, babe. You’ve got to really show him you like him! If you do, then he’ll start thinking of you romantically, y’know?”
By the morning, you made your decision. You’d show Percy that you liked him
Meanwhile, Percy scarfed down yet another potion, grimacing at the taste
You see, Percy liked you too. But he was smart. He knew you’d be able to tell immediately if he liked you, since his aura would give his feelings away. So, what’d he do? He begged asked the Hecate cabin for a potion that’ll hide his aura
Considering you hadn’t said anything about it so far, he thought it worked
He felt bad lying to you, but he couldn’t have you knowing, not yet. Percy wanted to plan the perfect confession, and he couldn’t do that with your powers at play
With his aura concealed, Percy left his cabin. He was going to head to breakfast when he found you sitting at the steps of Cabin 3
"What’re you doing here?” Percy said, startling you. You were too nervous to knock on his door, so you opted to wait for him to leave his cabin instead
Taking a deep breath, you said, “Percy, there’s this movie I really wanted to see, and I was wondering if you wanted to see it… together?” You took his hand and looked down at your feet, too scared to check his aura
“Sure! Do you wanna come to mine or should I go to yours?” Percy replied, blushing. If this didn’t scream the fact that you liked him, he didn’t know what did
You looked up. His aura was the same - yellow, meaning friendship. You felt yourself tear up and ran, hoping he didn’t get suspicious
He did, of course. Percy chased after you until you got tired and he could finally catch up, “what’s wrong, Y/N?”
You snapped. You were getting sick of all of this, “I’ll tell you what’s wrong, Percy! I’ve been trying to figure you out for weeks! You always do romantic things for me but your aura’s still yellow, and it hurts, Percy, so I’d really appreciate it if you stopped leading me on!”
Percy felt like such an idiot. He explained that he did like you and the yellow aura was just because of the potion he got from the Hecate kids
Since you still had some doubts, he dragged you to the Hecate cabin and asked them to give him a potion that’d reverse the effects of the first one
As soon as he downed that one, his aura turned bright pink
True love
You started dating soon after. That night, you watched the romance movie you’d picked out and Percy held you as you cried about how cute the couple is
You can’t hide your emotions from Percy. Just because he can’t read auras, doesn’t mean he can’t tell when his favourite girl’s feeling down!
Whenever someone even thinks to tease you for being sensitive and emotional, Percy immediately gives them a lecture, telling them he’s sorry they don't have half your emotional complexity
He’s always asking you to read his aura, since he's very curious. It barely changes when he’s around you, almost always mostly pink
You still tell him though and he gets this super proud look on his face and it’s really cute
You’re really glad you have Percy because now you have someone to rant to about all the media you consume and how it makes you feel. Sometimes he spaces out because your voice is so soothing, but he makes up for it
You two are PDA central. Percy also has lots of feelings, so you always have to be touching in some way
You told him your mom's sacred animal is the butterfly once and now whenever he sees one he instantly thinks of you
“Oh my Gods Y/N is watching over me!” “Percy that’s a moth”
Every day Percy thanks Piper and her mother for letting you guys cross paths, because your path and his are forever intertwined now

"Use me like a drug!"
Drug Dealer! Seonghwa x f!reader
Tumblr media
Highly requested part 2 of:
Drug Dealer! Seonghwa: "She's a regular here..."
Part 3 is out!!
Hey everyone! Thank you so much for the love on my first part of Drug Dealer! Seonghwa <33 Special shoutout to @ygswl for letting me use her ideas for my writing~ I hope you enjoy this continuation as much as the original!
Ps. Sorry if its not as intense as you hope it would be 😭 I'm the most romantic aroace person u will ever meet, I like NEED to include romantic stuff
CW: mentions of drug dealing/mafia/illegal businesses, drug dealer! Seonghwa, yunho cameo, seonghwa and reader are dating, fluff,!!SMUT!!, unprotected sex (pls stay safe yall), consensual somnophilia/free use, seonghwa cries cuz pussy too good 🙏
Seonghwa hung up the phone, his face a mix of irritation and anxiety. He started pacing the length of his office's shabby rug. MATZ had recently been losing customers, courtesy of the new company, PARADIGM, that entered the industry less than a month ago. He had just gotten off a call with Yunho, his supplier and good friend who had intel on them. PARADIGM was apparently backed up by the son of a rich mafia leader in the city. This meant that they had higher budget, higher manpower, and higher quality goods. And they were quickly stealing MATZ's spotlight in the local drug-dealing scene. Of course, Seonghwa was willing to resort to dirty tactics to get back his customers. But even if he was able to find a group of hitmen to raid and temporarily disrupt their business, MATZ would face even worse collateral damage in the process. After all, MATZ was still a way smaller operation compared to PARADIGM. This news was nothing but trouble for Seonghwa and Hongjoong's business and livelihood, and he knew it.
He continued pacing the room, swearing out loud when he accidentally stubbed his toe against the coffee table's leg. However, he quickly cut himself off when he remembered you were resting on the couch. Tiptoeing over to the slightly-battered, leather sofa in the middle of his office, Seonghwa caught a glimpse of you sleeping peacefully under one of his coats. His tense expression softened slightly. Ever since he had fucked you in one of his new faux fur coats, you'd started stealing his jackets and coats, often using them as makeshift blankets whenever you visited or felt lonely when he wasn't around.
He sighed as he thought about how you had came over on your free day to spend time with him, but had ended up falling asleep when he was taking too long to answer customers' calls and order cancellations. It was a tough, busy period for MATZ, yet you would patiently wait for Seonghwa to make time for you, wasting yours in the process.
"I need to lie down..." He mumbled to himself, as he made his way over to where you were snoring lightly on the couch. Perhaps cuddling up to his beloved girlfriend for a nap would help to temporarily ease the building migraine work was giving him. He stepped over your discarded clothes on the floor, taking note of how the jean shorts and flimsy t-shirt were probably uncomfortable for you to sleep in. Running one hand through his messy locks, Seonghwa unbuttoned his collar with the other to give himself a little breathing room, before carefully getting under his coat to spoon you.
However, despite the presence of your comforting scent and warmth, he still couldn't get the possibility of losing his beloved business out of his head. He knew that it was understandable to be concerned, but he was struggling just to find something else to think about, even if it was only momentary. Suddenly, he winced at the feeling of something pushing against his groin.
Looking down, he realised you were unknowingly pushing your soft ass against him. Your skimpy silk sleep shorts left little to imagination, and Seonghwa could already feel himself getting hard. He groaned under his breath. Out of all times he had to be horny for his girlfriend, why'd it have to be when you were asleep? The last thing he'd want to do would be disrupting your rest when you were exhausted from a long week of classes.
This, however, brought him back to a text conversation you had with him just a few days earlier. You'd noticed how Seonghwa had been very stressed lately, and had brought up the concept of free use to him. Essentially, you gave him your permission to let him use you for stress relief, even if you were asleep. Seonghwa's heart ricocheted in his chest thinking about it, internally thanking the gods for sending an angel to him.
He carefully tugged down your silk shorts, chuckling at how you shuddered when his cold palms came in contact with your dewy skin. He was taken aback at the wet spot on your lilac panties. Were you expecting this? His face heated up at the thought of you being all ready for him to use at any moment. As if you weren't already the perfect girlfriend for him. Hurriedly, he tugged aside your panties and fumbled to pull down his own pants.
Seonghwa bit his lip, holding back a whimper as he sank his hard cock into you. His neck arched back, stretching out the letters tattooed across his long neck. He buried his face into your exposed shoulder, inhaling your scent as he effectively caged your frame into his larger one. His breath hitched when you whined and shifted in your sleep, but he exhaled a sigh of relief when you fell back into deep sleep with a satisfied look on your features.
Slowly, Seonghwa began thrusting in and out of you, setting a slow but comfortable rhythm for himself. He swallowed his moans as he leaned in to lick and suck at the skin under your jawline, leaving behind faint purple marks that would surely show later on. Even in your state of unconsciousness, your body reacted to Seonghwa's movements, clenching on him every now and then and letting out quiet moans. "S-shit, you're so good to me, sweetheart... my y/n," he mumbled more to himself than to you. "Even... even when you're tired and sleepy, you still help me out... I love you so m-much." The stress from work started to melt away, the migraine disappearing along with it. Your warmth and closeness was so overwhelmingly relieving that your boyfriend even started tearing up. His restrained moans turned to desperate whimpers and hiccups. He reflexively slid an arm around your soft waist, pulling you impossibly close to him and allowing his cockhead to hit an even deeper spot in you. This startled you awake with a loud moan.
You blinked sleepily at your surroundings, aware that Seonghwa was balls deep in you at the moment. He was too deep in pleasure to notice you'd woken up, though. You sucked in a breath when he hit that deep, new spot in your cunt again, tilting your head to leave a kiss on his tussled black hair, when you felt hot liquid dripping down your bare shoulders and sliding down your collarbone.
"Hwa? Baby?"
Seonghwa jumped a little, suddenly made aware that you'd woken up. He hesitantly lifted his head from your shoulder to make eye contact with you. Puffy, teary doe eyes stared back into your own.
"..hwa? Are you crying?"
"Oh...uhm, fuck, yeah, I'm so sorry, sweetheart--"
He started pulling away from you, embarrassed to be caught crying while literally fucking himself into you. But you grabbed his hand and looped it back around your waist, earning a befuddled look from your panting lover. You offered a smile. "Stressed?"
He gave a sheepish smile and nodded, lips trembling and eyes still shiny from crying. You gave him a kiss on the corner of his lips.
"So use me. Use me like a drug."
Seonghwa's eyes widened.
♡♡♡
Shortly after the two of you had finished, it was Seonghwa's turn to fall asleep. You quietly watched his chest rise and fall with every breath he took. The tears on his face that hadn't dried yet were gently wiped away by a tissue clutched in your fingers. How could he be so effortlessly beautiful? Your attention was quickly drawn away by Seonghwa's phone vibrating on the coffee table. Anxious that the noise might wake your knocked out boyfriend, you reached over to pick up the call.
"Hello?"
"Hello, Seonghwa? It's Yunho."
You let out a sigh of relief. You knew Yunho. He was a good friend of Seonghwa's and was also MATZ's supplier.
"Hey Yunho! This is y/n. Seonghwa's sleeping right now, and I don't wanna wake him up. What is it?"
"Oh my god y/n! Its been awhile since we talked. Seonghwa's resting? Thank god, honestly. Poor guy's been so stressed out lately, with that new company stealing all the customers. Did he happen to tell you about PARADIGM?"
"No, but they sound like trouble. Why'd you call him?"
"Fuck, yeah, I called because I got good news! There's another gang in the drug industry that's rivalling with PARADIGM. They're even planning to raid PARADIGM's hide-out within the next month. Both groups are around the same size and have similar backgrounds. High chance they'll wipe each other out when they eventually fight. I wanted to tell Seonghwa that he doesn't have to worry about losing MATZ anymore."
"Thank you so much, Yunho. I'll make sure to tell him the good news."
You hung up the call, bubbly with excitement and happiness. Seonghwa stirred in his sleep just as you hung up with Yunho. He rubbed at his eyes, mumbling a sleepy "who was that?". You leaned down to peck his lips, running your hand through his bedhair at the same time. "Go back to sleep first, baby. Rest and I'll tell you later." Seonghwa gave you a grateful grin and nodded before letting his head hit the couch pillow once more.

My Fathers Daughter pt 10
A different perspective
Tumblr media
Dick Grayson has always been used to being the first.
He was the first Robin, the first son, the first to be picked for almost anything.
Hell he was the first child as far as he knew. So imagine his surprise when he finds out his mother not only has a whole secret daughter, but one that she completely abandoned.
He could still hardly believe it.
He couldn't stop thinking about the night they found out about her. The look on Christine's face, it was one he's never seen before. The look of shock and almost disbelief, like she had seen a ghost.
In a way she did.
The ghost of the life she left behind with Tony and Y/n Stark. Now Christine was trying so desperately to revive it. As if she didn't murder it with her own hands. And while Dick himself had reservations with these actions, Christine was his mother before anything, and he was going to help her no matter what.
So here he was, standing outside the bedroom of his mothers long lost daughter, trying to figure out something to say. It shouldn't be too hard, seeing as Jason of all people managed to get you to open up.
And yet, here he is. Unable to muster up the courage to simply knock on the door.
"This is fucking ridiculous", Dick thinks to himself, "Just knock, what's the worst that can happen?"
Lost in his own thoughts, Dick didn't notice the shadow under the door, and was startled by the sudden swing of it opening and you standing there.
"I can hear your thinking over my music." You said a little annoyed," Is there something I can do for you or...?"
Dick blinked trying to gather all of his thoughts, he really didn't know what to say to you. This is the first time you've said more than three syllables to him.
You stared back, face revealing how uncomfortable you were getting with this prolonged eye contact.
"Riiiight, so im just gonna" You say taking steps to shut the door in his face
"Wait!" The raven haired man shouts, "Wait, please."
You stop with a sigh and open the door, inviting him in, " Alright, come on."
Dick walks in, looking around at the room that actually used to be his when he first moved in.
He mentions as much trying to break the awkward silence.
"Hm, and you were okay staying in a room that was copied from a dracula movie?" You say snarkily
"Well to be fair I was 12 and watched my parents die in front of me, I wasn't really looking at the decor." He says half joking.
You made a face and looked away, feeling even more awkward.
"Anyways, I just wanted to you know...see how you were settling in" Dick starts, " Its been a few months and it feels like we hardly even see you."
You pause, thinking of what to say. But before you even have a chance to say anything Dick continues.
"You know, moms really excited that you're here." He starts, " Honestly I don't think I've ever seen her this excited over anything. She's usually very level headed."
You stare at him
"I mean, you know how she is I suppose she is your mother too."
You stare
"I know she probably really missed you, she gets lonely sometimes you know? Everyone here usually has their own thing going on and we don't really get to see her as much."
Nothing from you
" Well, I guess she see's Damian more than any of us but that's because he's basically her baby."
Okay...that hurt
"I mean, I think he was the youngest when he came to use, I think he was like nine or something. And he was not the easiest to get along with. So don't worry that he hasn't warmed up to you yet."
You hum, already irritated with this conversation.
"He's also really protective of our mom, she's done alot to make sure their relationship is as good as it is." he says offhandedly, " Actually she's done it for all of us."
"Oh really?" You ask with no real intrest.
"Yeah! I remember one time when I was little she always made it a point to spend time with me even though she was so busy." He says fondly.
You decide to play along and remince on the memories that you buried long ago.
"You know, when I was younger, Christine used to take me out of school and take me to see ballet shows." You say with a slight smile, " I was in classes back then and loved watching the older girls dance."
Dick smiled, feeling as if he made some progress with you, " Really? I think she actually takes Cassie and Steph to those sometimes, you should ask to tag along I'm sure she'll love it."
You cringe, feeling another needle in your heart. Not even your memerioes were sacred.
"Yeah no thanks." You reply harshly, " I don't like ballet anymore."
Dick pauses, shocked at the sudden shift in atmosphere.
"I--"
And before he can say anything you cut him off, feigning a yawn
"Hey look, not that I don't love our little chats, but I am beat."
"Oh! right, sorry I guess it is getting a bit late.."Dick say hopping up from your bed and walking to the door, " Y/n, you know its really nice talking to you. You should try and open up more."
You smile sarcastically, " you know, something you and mother have in common is that you both like talking at me, not to me."
And with that you shut the door, promptly ending the conversation and sending Dick spiraling.
In fact, the statement bothered him so much that he went seeking a second opinion.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Yeah... I don't know how to help you man."
"Oh come on! Jason, you and her are like...bosom buddies or something."
"Bosom buddies? How old are you?" Jason scoffs, " Look, what you and everyone here doesn't understand is that Y/n has a family waiting for her. She's not going to except mom as her mom because her mom is still alive and well."
"But...technically our mom is her mom." Dick says hesitantly, " And if I were her I'd be thrilled to have my mom back."
"Dick. Your mom didn't abandon you for a different family." Jason says annoyed he's not getting it, "What the hell is wrong with you, you're usually so level headed about this stuff?"
Dick pauses.
To be honest he doesn't know why he's being so hard headed about the whole situation.
He knows that he doesn't like seeing his mother sad, and lately seeing her face when you reject every move she maked to make amends is heartbreaking to him.
That was his mother. The woman who took him in as her own when his biological parents died.
The same woman that stayed by his side no matter how moody, rude, and bratty he first acted when he first arrived. She took his grief on as her own and basically put him back together along with Bruce. He can still remember the night he considered her his mother.
He had just started out as Robin, and had just got back from patrol. It was a rough night.
First, it was the middle of autumn and raining heavily, he and Bruce weren't getting along this particular night and he overall was just having a bad night. So needless to day he was a little rougher with the baddies he was fighting tonight.
Bruce had already reprimanded him throughout the night about his unnecessary force but Dick did not want to hear it. It got so bad that Dick was just going off own his own without Batmans orders, and thats where the trouble began.
Dick had jumped the gun again, throwing himself into a fight with some drug dealers , not realizing that there were one too many for a fourteen year old to handle by himself. They quickly overpowered him, and ganged up on the poor boy.
He was given quite the beating before Batman caught up to him and basically saved him.
In pain and with a bruised ego, he had to listen to yet another lecture from the irritated (actually extremely worried) dark knight, and one from Alfred who was also extremely worried while he cleaned up the child.
He has finally marched to his room in a huff and after he shut the door, was finally able to reveal in the fact that he almost died. He was lost in thought, finally feeling the fear and pain in every move he made as he tried to crawl under the covers when he heard a knock on the door.
In she came, with a tray of goodies she personally made,staying home from a business trip he had known she was going to go on. She crawled into the bed with him, held him to her chest and allowed him to cry.
"You may be a big brave superhero" She said to him, " But here in this home, you're my son. My baby, and you are allowed to cry if you need to. I won't judge you. I won't say a word."
And he did. He cried.
He cried because he was hurting. He cried because he was angry. Angry because he was beat up. Because he was lectured all night. Because he missed his parents.
But most of all, because he felt as if he was forgetting them. He was having such a good time at the Wayne manor, grew to love the Waynes as the parents they intended to be to him. He felt as if he was betraying his parents. The parents that had raised him up to that point.
And here he was, laying cuddled up to Christine the same way he would with his mother. But at this point the two of them are blurring together, to the point where he can't tell where his mother ends and Christine starts.
This woman, took him in and wrapped him in love.
Love that he thought he would never feel again after that tragic night.
A love that, he honestly cannot imagine never having.
It was something that he couldn't begin to repay her. He wouldn't know how. Where to start.
Rekindling his mother with the daughter she lost. Gave up.
That was the least he could do. He'd do it for her.
But, after the conversation he had with Jason, he went home and thought about it. Actually really thought about it.
The year he came into the Wayne's lives, Christine stopped going on her business trips.
Not all at once, but she would push them back.
Usually because Dick had needed her.
She pushed her trips back until eventually, she just stopped going.
She hadn't said much, just saying that she realized that she was needed at home more than they needed her over there. But even at that age, Dick noticed she was sad. She kept her composure around the family, but once Dick had seen her crying in a pantry deleting something off her phone.
He had thought it was weird but after a few months she was okay.
No crying, no sadness.
And... now that he thinks about it. While he was being wrapped up in love there was another child in New York, who's life was being completely unraveled. All because of him.
And maybe...the reason he was trying so hard to rekindle you and Christine wasn't really because of Christine.
But because since that night, the night you were revealed to be her daughter, he did the math. And he just wanted to give you back the mother he unknowingly stole away from you.
My first choice (part 2)
summary: Aemond thinks you are way too good to be Aegon’s best friend. But you are enough for the one-eyed prince to fall in love with. pairing: Aemond Targaryen and F!Reader words: ~8500 (this is why I divided it into 2 parts lmao) warnings: friends to lovers, more angst (death of a parent, attempted harassment), hurt/comfort, an embarrassing amount of softness, Aegon is the smartest one for once author’s note: this is heavily inspired by Little women” (2019) and Amy March in particular (read the rest of my long-ass explanation in part 1). again, I apologize for the angst! it gets worse before it gets better.
Tumblr media
 Part 2. In a room full of art I stare at you.
It’s hard to pinpoint the exact moment you fell in love with Aemond. Maybe you were too blind to notice until it was too late or maybe you were doomed from the start. From the moment when the boy, who everyone deemed to be intimidating and reclusive, bent down to you to offer help without any hesitation. The second-born son of the King, tall and close-mouthed, surely had more important things to do than waste time on a strange girl crying over her stupid dress — and yet, he only showed you solicitude, asking for nothing in return.
You thought that mayhaps you owed him, and were seeking the opportunity to return the favor. Or at least that’s how you tried to justify the fact that you were looking for him every chance you got. You often found a reason to chat with Aemond during dinners and feasts, feeling bad for him spending time on his own — and you learned that he was very easy to talk to. You made sure to visit the training yard if he was there and sometimes stayed to watch him train for hours, even — or especially — when everyone else already left. His tenacity and strength had certain allure but under all those layers, you saw a lonely boy whose only friend was probably his dragon.
Despite the circumstances and his preferred solitude, Aemond never rejected your company, however sudden it might have been. Even when Aegon foolishly suggested playing hide and seek one evening, bored out of his mind, and you busted into the library and stumbled upon Aemond, who looked like he had no interest in silly games. And yet, when you awkwardly asked for the best place to hide at, he guided you to the enclosed area of the reading room. It was dimly lit by just a few candles and, somewhere between feeling uncomfortable and getting scared, you reached for his hand. He didn’t pull away. Furthermore, he stayed with you and cheered you up with stories about Old Valyria, making you forget about any childish fears.
As the two of you have grown older, you often heard people being frightened by Aemond’s disposition but you found there to be no ground for that. He’s never been rude to you nor had he lost his temper, regardless of circumstances — and the day you saw him without the eyepatch for the first time was the prime example of that. It was getting late and Aegon had too much to drink and, while running around in a drunken stupor, he cut his hand somewhere in the yard. Luckily, the wound wasn’t too deep but he was bleeding and refused to get help, against your best wishes. He was babbling that scars adorn a man — and then, in an attempt to escape you chasing him, he barged into Aemond’s chambers. You ran in merely a second after, with explanations at the ready, and were met with his younger brother standing there, looking startled. It took you a second to realize he wasn’t wearing his eyepatch.
“My scar will be easier to hide,” Aegon giggled, not recognizing the gravity of the situation.
It was the only time you had to make an effort not to slap him in the face. You thought it was mostly a secondhand embarrassment, which was part of the experience of being Aegon’s friend, but the look on Aemond’s face, hurt and humiliated, also made your heart ache.
“His scar is a reminder of his bravery and the strength of his character that he should only be proud of,” you gave Aegon a death stare. “Yours will be a reminder of your idiocy.”
It seemed to work as his smile vanished and he even muttered an apology, leaving hurriedly to call for the maester. When you turned to Aemond, he already had his eyepatch on, and you fought the urge to come and take him by the hand again. You didn’t want to bother him at such a late hour, so you opted to offer an apology, too, and leave him be.
“His behavior was unworthy. But I meant what I said,” you turned to Aemond on your way out. “And the sapphire looks very pretty,” you could swear you saw a trace of a smile on his face but you chose not to think much of it.
With every encounter, sudden or not, and every conversation, most of which were too short for your liking, you were making more room for Aemond in your heart. You should’ve known you were a lost cause when you actually told yourself — out loud, with hands grabbing the edges of your table — “I will not fall in love with him.” At that point, you already did. He always worked so hard to be seen — and you only had eyes for him all along.
You hid your true feelings well enough for anyone to take notice — but your father was no fool. He also knew better than to meddle with whatever your thinking process was. So he watched from afar for quite some time, until you started catching his curious glances on you every time you went to talk to Aemond. Predictably, after yet another feast he could not resist bringing up the topic.
“Did the royal menace have too many cups of wine again? Haven’t seen him this evening,” he adored Aegon whole-heartedly, and you suspected that their shared love for crude humor was the main reason for that. You didn’t mind.
“Wasn’t that many, actually,” you chuckled. “But he asked me and Aemond to help him to his chambers, said he wasn’t in the mood today.”
“Well, you seem to really enjoy Aemond’s company. I assume that the feeling is mutual?” he looked expressively at you.
Your face grew hot at his words. You also felt your heart break just a little.
“We are merely friends,” you told him, your smile too tense to be believable.
There was a shadow of concern in your father’s gaze, followed by a sad sigh.
“You will let me know if anything changes, though?” he mustered a smile in return and his was much brighter than yours.
“You will be the first one to know,” you promised as he came closer to bring you into a bear hug. You never spoke of it again.
Surprisingly, the only other person who seemed to have suspicions about the nature of your and Aemond’s relationship was his father, the King. You didn’t think he was aware of your existence, and even when your friendship with Aegon grew stronger and you became a regular guest at the castle, you soon realized Viserys barely paid any mind to his younger kids’ whereabouts. You would catch a glimpse of him in the halls and curtsy out of politeness but didn’t expect him to notice. You got too comfortable with his absence — so much so, that one day, when Aegon was carrying your supplies and humorously complained about the lack of art in the castle, you blithely suggested painting a portrait of the King. The last thing you expected was for said man to step out of the corner.
“I would be delighted,” he cut right to the chase. “Lady Y/N, isn’t it?”
He didn’t look scary up close, his face wrinkled and a tad too tired, but quite benevolent. He simply asked if you would be content with drawing him on the Iron Throne and you agreed, just as easily. Truth be told, you didn’t think he would follow up on his offer — being the King and all that, but he sent a carriage down to fetch you literally the next day. Viserys took the task with juvenile ardor, bombarding you with questions — what pose to take, what paint do you use, how quickly will it dry and how did you learn to draw. After he was satisfied with the answers, he changed the subject.
“My wife considers you to have a positive influence on my eldest son,” he pointed out with ill-concealed interest.
“I deeply appreciate her trust but I believe that he is capable of changing on his own,” you corrected him courtly.
“You don’t give yourself enough credit,” he disagreed with a mischievous grin. “I’ve only heard good words about your guidance. It seems that you rein him back so easily, you would’ve made for a fine wife.”
You silently groaned at his comment.
“Your grace, I can assure you, our relationship is strictly of a friendly nature.”
“Oh, I know, I have seen you two,” he said, laughing, and when you peered at him, you saw that it wasn’t his usual uncomfortable-looking crooked grin but an actual genuine laugh.
“Shall you ever lay an eye on any other of my sons,” Viserys continued, much to your surprise. “Do not hesitate to tell me,” and his face suggested he knew more than he was letting on.
You ducked behind the canvas so he didn’t see your heated cheeks.
His suggestion lodged in your memory and even though you wouldn’t dare to actually approach the King, you held out hope that maybe he would give Aemond a similar hint. But months passed, Viserys’s condition drastically worsened, and for whatever reason, he never mended the relationship with his children. And eventually, your hope was gone.
You didn’t lie to Aemond when you told him about having power over who you love. But you failed to mention that said power has its limits — and doesn’t guarantee that your feelings won’t be one-sided. You learned that lesson the hard way when you had to face up to the reality you were in. Your love for Aemond seemed to be as infinite as the ocean — and you had to fit it in a fragile vessel of your heart. At first, you felt the waves raging at the mere glance of his, at every gesture of his goodwill or just upon hearing his voice. The storm of your feelings would splash over the rocks of your self-control but you survived the roaring torrent of love, time after time. The rough ocean grew calm over the years as you came to terms with being in love with someone who didn’t love you back.
You did choose to harbor feelings for Aemond, and you had no regrets about that. But when adulthood came with its own responsibilities that you had to focus on, all your energy was put into finding a husband. You were aware that your choice would have a major impact on your family as their stability depended on it. You approached the issue in a cold-hearted manner, prioritizing the duty above all else. Mayhaps, you were too calculated in your pursuit, and that was how you ended up accepting the courtship of a man who had nothing to give but his wealth.
When it comes to Jason, he never ceases to evoke a few feelings, too, but none of them are pleasant. His arrogance is the first thing that catches the eye — he’s wrapped in it and wears it with pride as if it’s another title of his. You often have to bite your tongue and fake a smile in response to his dismissive remarks and borderline vulgar comments. It doesn’t help that his self-esteem is inflated beyond your comprehension, and if only he could put his own face on their House’s sigil, he would. You are grateful that he keeps his hands to himself but you notice him getting quite handsy with the maids, and it gives you an unsettling feeling. His behavior is so disdainful and frivolous, you have no doubts that once you are married, you will be merely an accessory to him, a pretty wife to show off to his friends without taking your opinion into account. Showing off is the one thing he does best — and each time you can’t help but compare him to Aemond who doesn’t even know how to take a compliment. You find yourself thinking about the prince every time Jason comes by, and these thoughts help you get through tiresome promenades with the lord and endure boring dinners with him.
But after your last conversation with Aemond, you force yourself to stop thinking about him altogether. That decision is remorseless but you believe it’s for the better — or at least that’s what you convince yourself to think after you run out of the garden and into your carriage, only caring about getting home as soon as possible. You pretend that nothing happened, lying to your parents that the prince was too busy and you had to return earlier than planned. And then you lock yourself in your chambers, with hand clamped over your mouth to muffle the sound of crying. A small part of you hopes that Aemond will come to you the same day and explain himself. But he doesn’t. When you don’t hear from him for another two days, you come to the conclusion that he regretted his sudden outburst. And that his words actually held no meaning.
Cutting Aemond out of your life does seem to be attainable with some time, and you perceive it as just another task, another skill you can master. But getting him out of your head seems like an impossible goal from the start. You are so used to keeping memories of him, cherishing each and every one, you can’t just erase them all at once. You try your best, you do so with ferocious persistence, but there’s always some annoying little reminder ready to surface and catch you off guard at the most inopportune moment.
It gets even harder when four days later you find yourself sitting next to Jason who is even more presumptuous than usual. At this point, you feel like your nerves are at the limit, so you can’t even find it in yourself to keep up the act. You push your food around the plate, jumping from one pointless thought to another: the tasteless meal, the barely visible crack in your cup, the revolting tone of the lord’s voice. You feel your mother staring at you, clearly displeased with your attitude, yet Jason is oblivious, too wrapped up in bragging about his winery — or whatever else he is talking about, you have no idea because you stopped paying attention about twenty minutes ago.
You think if you stay by his side any longer, you will be physically sick.
So you get up from the table — may be a bit too dramatic for your own liking — and muster out a weak excuse:
“My apologies, I am in need of fresh air.”
You leave before anyone has a chance to stop you.
It seems like an act of disobedience but there’s so much freedom in it, you feel that you can finally take a breath. And you do exactly that once you reach the balcony, several corridors away from the dining hall that felt stuffed with Jason’s ego. As you stand there, soaking up the last rays of the sun, you can’t ignore the obvious question — how is it even possible to marry someone you absolutely cannot tolerate. You never had illusions about the nature of your relationship with him but you at least hoped there would be some ground to build your future on. At yet, right now it looks like you are trying to lay a foundation in the quicksand. For a man of a noble lineage, Jason knows too little of what nobility actually is, and you have enough self-respect to not give him explanations. The prospect of marrying him makes your duty feel like a burden, and you contemplate if you should even take the risk.
You are lost in your thoughts until you hear a thin voice:
“Do you know where the sun lands?”
You turn to find your sister Alyna standing at the door, in her long white nightgown and barefoot, her eyes unnaturally large for her baby-like face. She always talks like that, too thoughtful for her young age, and sometimes she reminds you of Helaena. There you go, another connection to Aemond.
“I do not, my sweetling. Wherever that place is, it’s a well-guarded secret,” you comb her curly hair with your fingers as her curious eyes study your face.
“Maybe it doesn't want to be seen,” she deduces. “Just like you don't.”
Her ability to get straight to the point sometimes blindsides you. It’s also quite liberating to talk to someone who hasn’t yet learned the skill of pretense, and she may be the only sibling of yours with no ulterior motives or hidden agenda. Alyna tilts her head, signaling that she isn’t enjoying your touch anymore — and when you remove your hand, she says, out of the blue:
“Just like Ser Lannister doesn’t.”
You stare at her in bewilderment, and only then notice that the hallway behind her is empty. It dawns on you that Alyna’s nanny Dorea is nowhere to be found. She is only a couple of years older than you, meek and quiet, her trusting nature ever so defenseless — but she is also very pretty. Too pretty for her own good, as your mother likes to say.
You feel a wave of nausea again. This time, it’s followed by a sense of dread curdling in your stomach.
“What did he do?” your voice comes out unusually calm, in striking contrast with how you are really feeling.
“I heard him talking to Dorea outside my chambers. I wanted to join the conversation but he asked me to leave,” her brows slightly furrow. “He said there are some things I am not supposed to see.”
It may be the first thing you and Jason can agree on, you think. It is also the only thing because you certainly will never agree to marry him — and that realization frees you of any false politeness and self-restraint.
“What are those things?” Alyna naively asks, shifting from one foot to the other.
“I shall go and ask him,” you pat her on the cheek. “But you stay here, alright? I will be back before you know it.”
Usually, it would take about a minute to reach your sister’s chambers, but you cover the distance twice as fast. You are a couple of feet away when you hear muffled voices — one is demanding, the other one is scared, and both are well-known to you. You grasp the situation in no time and run to quickly open the door. When you walk in, you feel a flare-up of anger at the sight: Jason grabbed Dorea by the hips, trying to pull her closer, as she weakly protests, her palms pushing at his chest in an attempt to get away. The squeak of the door makes them turn their heads to you, and you see the distressed look on the nanny’s face.
And then their gazes fall behind your back, and Dorea gets horrified.
You easily guess the reason for that — your younger sister isn’t very good at following orders. So Alyna mumbles, standing next to you and looking at her nanny:
“I do not think she likes it.”
“Neither do I,” you throw Jason a baleful stare. “Let her go and get out.”
He removes his hands — so carelessly, it almost seems like he’s offended by your suggestion of his wrongdoing. Dorea immediately comes to your side, ashamed and distraught.
“Did he hurt you?” you inquire, helping to adjust her dress.
“My lady, I think you misinterpreted —” Jason tries to say but you shut him off.
“I am not talking to you,” you scowl in his direction. Your face softens when you ask Dorea again: “Are you hurt?”
She shakes her head, sheepishly trying to explain:
“I didn’t do anything, I-I didn’t want to, and he said... He said he is a lord and I sh-should be flattered.”
Not only did Jason has the audacity to pull that off but he also wanted to do so at your little sister’s chambers — and you simmer at the thought.
“I believe you,” you gently stroke her shoulder. “I promise you will never see him again.”
“These are some unrealistic expectations,” Jason sneers, walking to you but his grin dies down when you look at him again.
“I know your opinion of women isn’t very high — trust me, the feeling is mutual — but you cannot seriously believe you will fool me,” you sense that now he isn’t pleased with your attitude but you don’t care. “When I told you to get out, I meant it. You are not welcome in this house.”
“That doesn’t sound like a wise decision to make if we are to be wed,” Jason contemptuously hisses.
“Then I guess the wedding is off,” you glare defiance at him. “But whoever you end up marrying, I hope she outlives you. Just so she can spit on your grave,” the last part is meant only for him to hear.
And he definitely does as his face reddens with rage. Jason roughly grabs you by the hand, and your nose fills with the stench of wine when he speaks:
“You are in no position to make demands,” he drawls. “Your family is in debt up to its ears, you little halfwit, so I suggest you choose your words very carefully.”
While he doesn’t see it, Alyna looks between you two, and, out of the corner of your eye, you notice her frowning. She doesn’t do well with conflicts as they upset her deeply, which can only trigger one reaction. Before you can say anything, a high-pitched scream shatters the room, echoing through the whole house.
Jason removes his hand within a second, looking shocked, but Alyna stands innocently with her mouth closed as if nothing happened. Your parents come to her chambers in the blink of an eye.
“What is wrong?” your mother looks at you all uncomprehendingly.
“Ser Lannister got lost,” you cooly explain. “He is already leaving.”
“And why is that?” your father glares at him with suspicion.
You want to spare Dorea the humiliation so you pause for a moment, trying to come up with an excuse. But Alyna has no understanding of what a maiden’s honor is — and she loudly proclaims:
“Ser Lannister was touching Dorea, and she didn’t like it.”
No one in the room needs an explanation for that.
“You shameless scoundrel!” your father roars at Jason, who unsurprisingly isn’t as courageous as before.
“Ser, there clearly has been a mistake — ”
“It was a mistake to let you in,” your father rudely interrupts him. “You won’t set foot in my house ever again. Get out of here before I make you!”
Jason doesn’t need to be told twice and storms out of the room as your father’s gaze follows him. He stands with hands clenched into fists, his nostrils flaring with anger.
“Pompous jerk,” he mumbles under his breath. “And to think that I was willing to give him my daughter’s hand...!” his voice breaks, hoarse with ire, and you notice a vein pop on his forehead. You have never seen him so furious.
“He’s been dealt with,” you cautiously say to ease the tension. “That shouldn’t be a cause for your concern anymore.”
He turns to you, his eyes bloodshot and breathing heavy. As you step closer, you hear whistling sounds with his every breath, and his gaze gets absent. You realize that something is wrong as he opens his mouth to speak but no sound comes out.
“Father, are you alright?”
He places a hand over his heart, trying to inhale, a look of fear in his eyes. The chain of events is too sudden to comprehend: his breathing begins to wheeze as he squirms, falls flat on his back and convulses.
And then your evening turns out to be way worse than you could’ve ever imagined. A week later Aegon wakes up at an ungodly hour — and he’s fueled by sole determination to put an end to everyone’s misery. Surely, he must be the only sane person in his house since all his family members seem to be oblivious to what is going on between you and Aemond. Aegon, however, can use his eyes for their intended purpose — and it is clear as day to him that you and his brother are in love with each other.
He caught on to that pretty fast, although the signs were not that obvious at first: you often smile to people purely out of politeness and Aemond may not show his true feelings even under threat of death. So Aegon kept secretly observing you two, taking note of fleeting glances and light touches, of the way you would relax in Aemond’s presence, the way he was always too eager to help you with whatever you needed, and how you two would gravitate toward each other. Both his brother and his best friend were annoyingly stubborn about making their own decisions so Aegon didn’t mean to interrupt — or at least he tried not to. But when your evident mutual pining stretched into years, Aegon started losing his patience.
In the beginning, he initiated small things, asking Aemond to come and greet you (“Oh, I just woke up! And you are already dressed for the occasion”), to deliver you his hand-written message (“Yes, it is incredibly important and I trust no one but you!” — it was his doodling of Aemond), to keep you company during the feast while Aegon stepped out for a moment (he didn’t come back). He asked him to switch places at dinner (so you and Aemond could sit together), to help find the books you wanted (“All those years of you reading should be good for something”), to pick up the portrait of his children (“They are your nephews, is it so hard?! No, I am not being dramatic!”). A couple of times he even pretended to be way more drunk than he actually was just so you and Aemond could help him to his chambers and spend some time alone in the process. None of that worked. At some point, he seriously contemplated locking you both in a room but then came to the conclusion that you would rather team up to find a way out than confess your feelings. Truly, it seemed hopeless, and Aegon thought that maybe he should give up.
But as of recently he couldn’t help but notice that something was clearly off between you and Aemond, although the younger prince refused to talk about it, and you simply stopped visiting the castle. He decided to give it a day or two, hoping that you would sort things out and refusing to even consider the opposite. A week passed and nothing changed, and Aegon cannot bear looking at Aemond’s sour face any longer. So the older prince comes up with a plan.
He is unexpectedly the first one at the breakfast table and everyone who walks in shoots him a surprised glance. They are amazed even more to see that Aegon isn’t drinking which is as rare as a miracle. Aemond comes last and he is the only one who doesn’t notice the change, too wrapped up in his thoughts. Another thing that goes unnoticed is the gleam of sadness on their mother’s face.
Five minutes in, Aegon clears his throat to attract everyone’s attention.
“So, I was thinking,” he drawls loudly.
“That does not sound good,” Otto mutters, unimpressed, which Aegon chooses to ignore and continues.
“Lady Baratheon’s poor taste in men shouldn’t be an obstacle in our way of reaching the grand goal.”
“Which is...?” Otto asks while the younger prince doesn’t move an ear.
“To find a lady worthy of my brother, of course!” Aegon tries his best to say it with a straight face.
Aemond spares him a glance. “I didn’t know you took much interest in that.”
“I always have your best interest in mind,” Aegon slaps him on the shoulder earning a disgruntled hum in return.
“I was just thinking if we should go over the list of requirements once more,” Aegon suggests.
“I don’t have a li—”
“Of course you do!” another slap. “At the very least, she should be of a noble kind. Am I right?”
“Sure,” Aemond absentmindedly agrees.
“And we are definitely looking for someone who is keen on reading.”
“Yes,” Aemond rolls his eye and looks at his plate, already showing no interest in the conversation. That is exactly what Aegon wants — and he starts talking a bit faster:
“Someone with a flexible nature...”
“U-hmm.”
“And with a kind heart...”
“Yes.”
“A great listener...”
“Uh-huh”
“Who will attend to your every need...”
“Sure.”
“And may even be of indescribable beauty...”
“Hmm.”
“...And you will still be miserable because you love Y/N.”
“Yes,” Aemond says without thinking — and then it’s too late to take his word back because everyone’s eyes are already on him. When he turns to his brother, Aegon has a shit-eating grin on his face:
“You are welcome.”
Alicent looks genuinely confused. “Aemond, but why haven’t you mentioned it?”
“I’ve been asking myself the same question for years,” Aegon snorts, and Otto raises an eyebrow.
“Years?” his grandsire questions.
“I almost gave up on him,” Aegon keeps talking while his brother just sits there, eye glued to the table.
“She was the one who drew the portrait of our father,” Helaena cheerfully speaks up. “And he kept it.”
“He did,” Alicent nods and gives her son a sympathetic look. “Aemond, she is an admirable young lady. No one would have spoken against it if only you —”
“It doesn’t matter now,” Aemond cuts her off, averting his gaze. “She is to be betrothed to Ser Lannister, and I do not intend to ruin her plans.”
“You cannot be serious!” Aegon pinches the bridge of his nose. “Shall you find the courage to propose, she will immediately reject him!”
“She already did,” Alicent avows, to everyone’s surprise.
Aemond looks up at his mother in an instant.
“Did she?” he asks in disbelief.
Alicent gives him a wan smile.
“A week ago, yes. It is rumored that his behavior... left much to be desired,” she explains half-heartedly. Her face, however, doesn’t show any signs of happiness.
“That seemed like a reason to celebrate but it doesn’t sound like it,” Aegon looks at her questioningly, and Aemond tenses up in anticipation.
Alicent dithers as her face falls, eyes getting woeful and voice feeble.
“Her father fell ill that very day. Some say he got too upset with the whole situation, and I...,” she takes a deep breath. “I received a message this morning. He passed away three nights ago.”
Everyone falls silent, their faces showing shock that is quickly replaced by sadness.
“Seven hells,” Aegon mumbles.
Aemond doesn’t utter a word, feeling his heart sinking. He knows that you’ve always been your father’s daughter, and the prince cannot even begin to imagine how heartbroken you are right now. He should’ve been there for you, he thinks, full with remorse and guilt.
“You should go,” Aegon turns to him, not a hint of jesting in his voice. “We may give her some time to grieve, but I will gladly take Sunfyre out for —”
“Why would you need to?” Aemond gives him a puzzled look. “I can take Vhagar.”
Aegon emits a long-drawn groan and says to no one in particular:
“And to think he is the smartest one? I am having doubts”, he then glances at Aemond with reproach. “I am sure her mourning family will not at all get terrified at the sight of your monstrous dragon.”
His brother mulls over the idea.
“It is not safe to fly drunk.”
“I will be stone-cold sober.”
“You believe both of us will fit into the saddle?”
“We will fit just fine, can you stop with your excuses?! I am being reasonable for once, and you are making me regret it!”
“I don’t think it would be wise,” Otto cuts in their bickering, and both princes turn to him.
He holds pause with a blank stare before a sly smile crawls out on his face.
“I would rather recommend the prince goes right away. We don’t want her family to make any rushed decisions,” their grandsire advises, earning a sign of relief from Aegon, who jumps out of his chair.
“We’re leaving this very second! Do I need to drag you out of your —”
“You do not,” Aemond stands up in a hurry — and then Aegon still grabs him by the hand, pulling his brother out of the room.
Alicent gazes fondly after them.
“It was very kind of you,” she says to her father without looking at him.
Otto thinks that, with how well you’ve been handling Aegon, marrying you to Aemond would be a blessing. Because gods know, he is fed up with them both.
On their way to the Dragonpit Aegon can barely hold back his excitement but his brother’s mind is clearly elsewhere. The older prince lets Aemond take time to gather his thoughts and doesn’t bother him along the road. But once they reach the cavernous building and both pop out of the carriage, Aegon decides some encouragement would be fitting.
“Have I ever told you how I met her? That day at the feast?”
Mentioning your name always works wonders — Aemond turns to him in a flash.
“I was jesting around and she was the only one who didn’t laugh at my jokes. At all. Just stood there with a straight face and ignored me. Can you imagine?”
Aemond does know the unimpressed look you usually give Aegon, and it causes him to let out a dull chuckle.
“Took me good five minutes to even make her smile — and, frankly, my success didn’t last very long. Pretty sure half of my jokes landed flat. But you know what was the real issue?” Aegon’s smile is melancholic. “Most of the evening she kept asking about you.”
Aemond looks like the very epitome of heartbreak. Not only was he blind, he was also an idiot, he realizes.
“I know, I should’ve told you sooner,” Aegon gives him an apologetic look.
Aemond shakes his head. “I should’ve told her sooner.”
“Well, it’s only been what, seven years?” his brother chortles weakly while the dragon keepers finally bring out Sunfyre, and the dragon casts Aemond a curious look.
Aegon approaches the beast first, running his hand over the scales that shine bright in the sunlight, and the prince can never get tired of that blinding beauty. But his excitement mingles with another feeling.
“I value her friendship, you do know that, right?” he squints at Aemond, who simply nods.
“This is my way of saying that if you mess it up, I might push you off my dragon on our way back,” Aegon casually remarks, grabbing the rope to climb up.
Aemond falters with answering, reluctant to admit.
“There is a chance that I already messed it up.”
Aegon looks down at his brother and gives him a stern glare.
“Unmess it, then.” You don’t remember much from the past week, your days and nights blurred into one another. The only thing that stays on your mind is your father’s face — you can still see it so clearly, with his gentle gaze and his every wrinkle, the corners of his mouth always upturn like he’s a second away from smiling. You also remember how that face contorted in pain, how his body stiffened, and that scene plays on repeat in your head, over and over. And then there are only pieces of memories, torn and mushed together, and you can’t find it in yourself to sort them out.
You spend all your time at your father’s bedside, with a string of never-ending prayers falling from your lips. They don’t seem to help — and nor do the maester’s efforts, and you lose hope with each passing minute. As hours fly, you get a very bad feeling that soon turns into blood-curdling awareness. Deep down, you know what’s to come, and you hate yourself for it. You think you will never stop crying but by the time the maester declares your father’s demise, there are no tears left. Death has many faces — none of them looked at you with mercy.
Your mother wails, overtaken by despair, your sisters don’t leave her side, eyes puffy and full of sorrow, and you are sure that you look the same — yet you feel completely empty. There’s a cleft in a place of your heart, and all the feelings seemed to flow out, leaving you drained and emotionless, but it brings you no relief. Everything in your house reminds you of your father, his presence tangible in the rooms and in the halls, his image still as clear as a reflection in the mirror. The memories of him crawl out of every corner, seep from under the doors, fall on you along with the dust you brush off his things that you can’t make yourself take away.
Stacks of hardcovers with bookmarks in the middle.
The unfinished cup of wine.
The long grey coat hanging on the back of his chair.
Piles of letters left unanswered.
Parchments, ink and a quill that he will never use again.
All the pieces of him that you can’t look at, don’t want to look at — yet it’s all you see, and there’s is no hiding from it. You feel trapped in your own house, and you wait for the walls to collapse so maybe under the weight of them you will find some peace. You are restless in your grief, you are drowning in it.
The day of the funeral leaves a blank space in your memory, void of colors and sounds apart from everyone’s crying. The ceremony is rushed and there is only a handful of family members since your mother couldn’t bring herself to tell everyone yet. You don’t blame her for it — you think she’s too afraid to say it out loud, afraid that speaking the words will make them real, and she’ll have to finally accept his death. You have no problem with acceptance, you just don’t know how to move on. How to stay strong when you are shattered beyond repair.
Your home now feels like a coffin but everyone expects you to be in charge, so you force yourself to. Merely an hour after his body was buried in soil wet with rain, you find yourself sorting out his papers. You look through his diary, his scribbled notes, the calculations he made in attempts to stabilize the emptying coffers. He’s always been the responsible one, keeping count and cutting costs, planning for the future — and yet he’s been robbed of it. None of it makes sense to you and your father isn’t there to teach you. You clench your teeth in frustration, and it makes you want to put your head through a wall.
You push through the second and the third day. You give orders to the maids, who walk on eggshells around the house, sharing concerned looks. You take it upon yourself to bring meals to your mother and all but spoon-feed her so she at least will have some energy to get up from bed. She doesn’t — while you want nothing more than to get away. You’ve had a fair share of responsibilities your entire life but now there’s an abundance of them and it puts you in a chokehold, and you are all alone in your discomfort which brings you no respite at all.
On the fourth day you wake up feeling like the walls are closing in and you can’t breathe, the need to leave anchoring in your lungs. You don’t want to waste another second as you put on a coat right on top of your nightgown, frightened that each moment of stalling might lead to you being dragged into the same routine again. But the house is asleep, and the sun has barely risen when you tiptoe out of your room. You only wake up one maid, telling her you’ll go for a walk so your sudden absence doesn’t come off as a deed of cruelty.
You step outside and close the door behind your back, taking a slow, deep inhale. And just when the guilt is about to sneak up on you — you dart off into the morning fog.
The air is fresh and cooling against your skin as you run away from your house and through the trees, not minding the branches or the damp ground. You breathe the crisp air in, and it makes your body feel weightless, and you speed up, leaving no chance for the responsibilities to catch up with you. Patches of the forest, splattered with all shades of green, bushes and weeds that graze your knees — you pay them no attention as your feet carry you further away, up the hill, to the most remote place you can think of. You don’t know how long it takes for you to reach the narrow wooden bridge and cross the remaining field that ends with a cliff, but when you finally do, your feet ache and your lungs burn and you gulp air.
The sky is draped by the light layer of clouds but the blue of it stretches as far as the eyes can reach, and the movement of the sea can be seen in the distance. The morning is still with silence and it welcomes you, the fresh breeze encircling your body. The feeling of it isn’t gentle as the wind instantly bites every part of your skin that is covered with sweat. You should’ve worn thicker layers, you shouldn’t have rushed, maybe you shouldn’t have come at all — but you are too tired of thinking, of restrictions. Of yourself.
You let the cold seep in and pierce you to the marrow as you watch the waves meeting the horizon. You then close your eyes, hands coming up to cross over your chest. It’s an oblivion of some sort — with no demands and no tears, it’s only you and the wind. The empty space around you matches the emptiness in your heart, and the beating of it sounds like a hollow note. You feel nothing, you feel numb, but it’s so tranquilizing, you can’t help but give in, just to stop brooding for a few minutes — or maybe hours, you care not.
In this state of torpor, you almost miss the sound of wings cutting through the air. When you open your eyes, you only catch a shadow hidden by the clouds and a glimpse of gold but it’s still enough to guess. Sunfyre. At any other time, Aegon’s visit would’ve brought you joy yet right now it feels useless against the doldrums of your soul. At least your sisters will be happy to see him, you think, not having the slightest desire to move from your spot. The wind is now howling, the grass is rustling — and then the small measured sound joins the melody of nature. It sounds like someone’s approaching but their step is nearly noiseless. There is only one person who walks like that, and the realization brings you out of your trance.
You turn to Aemond before he can say anything, your gaze meeting his, and he immediately stands still. The distance between you is just like before, and you only now grasp the amount of time that has passed. You haven’t seen him in two weeks — and so much has changed, and nothing is the same — but when you look at Aemond, at every painfully familiar feature of his, your heart twinges. You really, really missed him, and it’s the first thing you feel in fourteen days.
He notes your lack of protest and hesitantly comes toward you, only pausing when he’s at arm’s length. His cheeks are flushed pink from the wind, the collar of his coat raised to the angles of his jaw.
“I didn’t want you to be alone,” his tone is filled with sadness. “Even if you despise me.”
“I could never,” you mirror the words he once said but your voice comes out too quiet and blank.
There is only compassion and understanding in his gaze, and you are hungry for both, so you don’t break eye contact. He doesn’t, either, and reaches out a hand — it moves to your shoulder as he says:
“I am so sor—” when his fingers come in contact with you, Aemond suddenly stops talking, and his eye darts to your arm. There is a flicker of confusion on his face that quickly turns into worry.
“You are freezing,” he breathes out, and his worry grows stronger in an instant.
Aemond cautiously guides his hand up and down your arm — you see the movement, clear as day, but you don’t feel it at all.
“I didn’t really notice,” you mumble.
You want to tell him that staying with your family drove you up the wall, that you lost sleep and the nights bring you no rest, that you accept your emptiness and loathe it. But the wind is still howling, your mind is clouded with exhaustion, and you are afraid that Aemond will get angry at you.
Instead, he pleads.
“Let me take you home,” he continues caressing your arm. “Please, let’s go back. You can’t —”
“I don’t want to,” you retort, and all the unsaid words bubble up and pour out. “I could not stay there any longer, it was all too much, I needed a break, I — it just made me feel like...,” your skin finally absorbs the heat of his touch which sends goosebumps down your spine, and you get short of breath.
“Like I wanted to disappear,” you say, voice barely above the whisper.
Your confession hangs in the air, and you catch that same unreadable emotion in his eye. Three heartbeats later Aemond removes his hand, and the absence of it threatens to strip you of your short-lived comfort. But then he unbuttons his coat — and opens his arms to you:
“Disappear here.”
His words break the ice of your numbness, filling your lungs with air — so much of it, you almost feel light-headed. You are cold, and you are lonely, and you missed him. In a heartbeat you fall into his embrace, with the same force one may plummet down from a cliff — only instead of waves, you are welcomed by his warmth, and you instantly sink into it.
Aemond takes you under his coat, gently putting it over your body, and then holds you tight. You instinctively wrap your hands around his waist, nestling against his chest. Your cold palms glide over his shirt, and Aemond involuntarily shivers but doesn’t budge. He starts slowly stroking your back, and you soak up the calmness that radiates off him. His touch is soothing, quieting your mind, and you lose yourself in the serenity that it brings.
You are both lost in time, standing quietly, as your body gradually warms up and relaxes. You listen to his heartbeat, the rhythm of it even and lulling, and it makes you feel at peace.
When Aemond looks at you clinging to him, his heart swells with so much love, he can barely contain it.
“How are you feeling?” he asks softly.
“I don’t know,” you sigh. “It all happened so fast, I didn’t know what to do. I still don’t. Everyone expects something from me now and I... I wish he was still here.”
“Your father was the kindest man I have ever met,” his voice is laced with sorrow. “I am so sorry you had to go through that. I should’ve come sooner but I only found out this morning.”
“And you came,” you remark delicately. “It’s all that matters.”
You snuggle up to him even more and relish in the feeling of his body close to yours, finding solace in it. You let yourself forget about everything else in the world, comforted by his kindness as he shields you from all the worries and the troubles of life.
“Whose idea was it to take Sunfyre?”
“Aegon’s,” the prince chuckles. “He was very persuasive, I’ll give him that.”
“Is he waiting for you on the hill?”
“He went to see your family, offer his condolences. And maybe complain a little since he didn’t particularly enjoy the flight.”
You try imagining the two of them squeezed into the saddle, and you know Aemond must’ve teased Aegon all the way to your house. You feel the tickling of laughter in your throat but it doesn’t go higher and then dissolves. Still, it’s a start.
“How much do you regret agreeing to that?”
Aemond pauses — and then his low voice vines through your hair:
“Right now, I don’t.”
You feel his heart skipping a beat, and for some reason, his pulse speeds up. You wonder what the reason may be, and your cheeks heat up when you are struck by the answer you can’t dare to hope for.
Or maybe you can.
“I’m not marrying Ser Lannister,” you blurt out, your own chest vibrating with anxiety.
Aemond pulls away just a bit, only to have a look at you.
“I heard about that,” he reveals. “He was never a good —”
“You are under no obligation to say anything or do anything,” you cut him off, nervously lowering your gaze, because if he tries to pity you it will break your heart all over again, and you cannot bear it right now. “I just... I knew I would never love him. So I believe it’s only for the best.”
You keep babbling, but he hardly listens, his eye fixed on your face. Aemond isn’t sure you fully allow yourself to be this vulnerable with anyone. But it’s his favorite side of yours — with your bashful sincerity, your overly complicated explanations that he understands with ease, your habit of talking with hands, with your searching gaze and your eyes bright with life. It’s all the little things that he adores.
It’s what makes his feelings finally spill over.
“...But we don’t need to talk about it, you don’t need to say anyth—”
His touch is so gentle, you barely register when Aemond puts a finger beneath your chin, lifting your head to look at him — and then suddenly his lips cover yours. His mouth is even warmer than his hands, and he gives you a couple of seconds to make sure you won’t pull away. And then he starts kissing you, slowly and steadily, in a way you could only dream of.
Aemond gently cradles your head, his lips are soft and ardent — they meld with yours, and time freezes and sounds fade as you melt into the kiss, into his touch. And at that moment nothing else matters. You are wrapped in his tenderness, the ocean of feelings flooding your body, and he enters your heart like he owns it. He always did.
Aemond is the one to break the kiss, sensing that you are gasping for air. You slowly open your eyes in a daze, as if you’ve been awoken from a dream.
“I will take care of everything,” he affirms, his mouth still only a couple of inches away. “You do not have to worry about a thing.”
One of your hands moved on top of his chest, and you feel that his heart rate is back to normal. The pounding of it pulls you back to reality.
“You mean that?” you whisper. “Aemond, I don’t have that much to offer.”
He brushes a strand of hair from your face and leaves a trail of light kisses up to your temple.
“You have everything a man can wish for,” he reassures you, and his gaze finds yours again. “Everything I have ever wished for.”
The prince takes your face between his hands, and his thumbs follow the contours of your cheeks.
“Even in a room full of art I can only look at you,” Aemond murmurs, his words are flamelike and go straight to your heart, making it flutter.
Only now you notice that the sun emerged from the clouds, and the golden light illuminates everything around you. You bask in it as well as in Aemond’s affection — and he makes you feel seen, safe, cared for. Loved.
“That was very poetic of you,” you tilt your head and lean closer to him.
“I agree with poets on one thing — we have no control over who we love. But I have never regretted loving you,” he can’t stop himself from placing a kiss on the edge of your mouth. “And if I had to choose, it would still be you.”
When you meet his gaze, this time you read it with ease — and you are sure it’s a mere reflection of your own. An overwhelming feeling sweeps over and spreads through you. But the ocean is calm, and you are not cold anymore — and Aemond does love you, after all.
You feel your mouth quirk in a smile, genuine and a very happy one. Aemond presses his forehead to yours and promises:
“From now on, you will always be my first choice,” and then you see him trailing for your lips.
And you believe him.
yep, it’s me again!
the title is someone’s quote (I have no idea where it’s from, pls help a girl out)
“Disappear here” are Jonathan Carroll’s words that have been engraved in my memory for years and they just popped into my head while I was writing in a haste and only then I realized wait, technically it’s a quote, you can’t do that?! but guess what, I did! I also tried to rephrase these two words but it looked weird so I’m letting you know that I suck as a writer
the bit when she babbles and he looks smitten with her — I couldn’t help but think of that scene from “North and South” (it screams Aemond to me!)
I imagined the cliff to look like this 🍃
I originally planned to turn the romance down just a notch ’cause I already have 4 sappy fics and I wanted this one to be more “realistic” but… oh well, me and romance go hand in hand, apparently.
you will see this version of Aegon more often because I enjoyed it immensely!
what do you guys think? comments and opinions are VERY welcome! 🥺 ✨ my masterlist English is not my first language, so feel free to message me if you spot any major mistakes!
Babies shouldn't grow up ☆ Jason Todd & GN!Reader (PT.6 FINAL)
Tumblr media
What does Jason do after he secures his spot as your number one person and you slowly but surely grow up into an independent teen..? Wait, stop, you're not supposed to do that. You're his baby. [PART ONE ♤ PART TWO ♤ PART THREE ♤ PART FOUR ♤ PART FIVE ♤ PART SIX]
Pairings: Platonic Jason Todd & Child GN!Reader / Batfamily & Child GN!Reader
Okay, let's be honest here, Jason would hate how fast time flies
As busy as he'd be splitting his life between vigilante work and fatherhood, taking down crazy new villains, attending to your school events, catching up with his friends, going on family vacations, Jason would 100% still notice how fast you were growing
By the way he'd have to often buy you new clothes because of your growth spurt
And how the current mark on the wall where he measured your height was inches apart from the first one he made
You were spending more time with your friends, the things you were getting interested in made no sense to him, and you wouldn't go to him to take care of your hair as much as you used to
It fucking terrified Jason
He hated it, so much
While he was proud and absolutely thrilled that you were independent, confident, and a hell of a charmer, he also wanted his baby back
The little brat who barely came up to his elbows
The one who'd cling to his legs whenever he told you to clean your room and would get dragged around
Hell, he really missed how you'd fit so easily in his arms as he carried you around
You still fit, he was a big guy after all, but for you it'd be a bit embarrassing for your dad to carry you around like that
Teenagers and embarrassment, am I right?
Now in his late twenties and over all that anger inside him, Jason would probably whine about it to his family
"I mean, how can someone grow so fast? It makes no fucking sense!"
"Jason, it's been five years, kids grow."
"Thanks Captain Obvious, but mine shouldn't!"
"What? You wanted the kid to be eleven forever?"
"..."
"Jay..."
"Shut the fuck up."
Somehow, being so lonely and melancholic over watching you sprout and bloom, Jason would even end up bonding a little with Bruce
Think about it, at this point Bruce would already be in his sixties or something, so Cass would've taken over the mantle by then
I'd imagine he'd still work as intelligence for the League but with Cass as the Hero of Gotham and Tim as the CEO of Wayne Industries, the old bat would have a lot of time in his hands
Which he'd spend around his family and grandkid
And when Bruce noticed Jason's pouty and broody demeanor when you were texting a friend, he couldn't help but laugh
"Now you know how I feel."
"It's different. It's going too fast."
"Son, I watched all of you leave the manor in less than fifteen years, it's always too fast."
Begrudgingly, Jason listened to Bruce's advice, that same old anxiety rising up in his chest, leaving him vulnerable and restless
"The best thing you can do is talk to your kid. I learned it the hard way with all of you and I know things would've been different if I had reached out sooner."
Jason couldn't deny that, even if the look in his old man's face did make his chest hurt a little
It's not like he hadn't thought about it, to be honest, you two always had a very open and communicative relationship
That was the exact reason why you two trusted each other implicitly and barely ever had any fights
But he was scared, downright terrified that you would confirm his fears
Just imagining you saying "I'm fifteen, dad, of course I'm not gonna hang out as much with you anymore." already broke his heart
So after whining a little to anyone near him and almost getting stabbed by Damian for "being such a clueless moron", Jason decided to put his big, grown ass adult pants and talk to you
It would be during a late afternoon, when the sun is setting and you had decided to make dinner tonight while Jason set the table
He'd run his hand through his hair once, then twice, maybe even thrice, and ask without looking at you
"Are you embarrassed of me?"
You'd almost burn yourself by whipping your head so hard Jason thought you'd snap your neck
"What?"
Ok, so they were doing this
Cool. Cool cool cool.
It was now or never
"You've been spending a lot of time away, always on your phone, we– uh, we haven't matched or hung out in a while either so– I get it, kid, I know you wouldn't want to–"
"Wait, stop, are you serious?"
Uh, oh, you were using the same tone as Damian
Like you thought he was the dumbest being to walk on earth
Damn that little demon for corrupting you
"I was just wondering, okay? I understand if–"
"No– dad, what? I thought you were busy!"
"What?"
Let's rewind a bit
You'd always been pretty attached to Jason, always glued to his hip, mimicking his mannerisms and speech
Steph even called you "mini Red Hood" when you started to unconsciously copy the way your old man dressed and his slangs
It was terribly cute for everyone
And you were proud of it! You were!
Jason was your hero, your favorite person, your dad
You wanted to be like him and you weren't ashamed of it, not even when Damian tried making fun of you
Because he was a dirty Batman wannabe and nobody liked those
He was your best friend and confidant, the one adult you'd trust fully without questions, always by his side and supporting him through everything
Except for that one time playing monopoly but that was Cass's influence
You owned Red Hood merch, you liked spending weekends and holidays with him, you matched your tastes and likes to everything Jason liked because it was Jason and you wanted to be closer to him
Birthdays could end up being just the two of you and you'd still be thrilled to have your dad around (even if the other bats would never allow such sad little party)
You had around nine years of experience with shitty adults, so excuse you for being overjoyed that your real dad was someone worth loving fully and irrevocably
But everything changed when you turned fourteen and the kids in your class started acting... weird
"Urgh, my mom is so embarrassing."
"My dad keeps calling me little princess even though I told him to stop!"
"Why are parents so cringe."
Apparently, disliking your parents made you cool in middle school
But that's not what changed things
It was when your friends laughed at you for talking so much about Jason, asking you if your old man even had time to do other things when you kept clinging to him
Which... you had never thought about
In all honesty, being around your dad was so natural at that point, always in his field of vision, relating random things to him, texting one word messages just to check in, that you hadn't realized you've might have been hogging his attention too much
Some unease and insecurities wormed their way inside your vulnerable teen heart and you convinced yourself you had been taking too much of your father's time
You couldn't even remember the last time he hung out with his best friend
What if he became sick of you?
What if he was already annoyed?
That terrified you, it truly did
Long story short, you forced yourself to change a little, keeping a bit more distance, not being as needy or clingy
You even started doing your hair by yourself, which sucked so much ass
You never realized how much thought and care your dad put in taking care of you
It made you miss him even more, but you wanted to be a good kid and let your dad have some freedom
He was still in his 20s after all!
And with him a bit more involved with his vigilante side of life, going to the manor more often, and the rise in criminal activity, you had assumed he was busy being an adult
Which, eurgh, you missed him so bad
But you were being a good child!
So much for that
By the time you finished explaining your side of things, after the two of you stared at each other for long moments, Jason was left with his head in his hands
He made a noise akin to a deflating balloon, his shoulders slumping
Good god, the two of you were embarrassing
He loved you
So fucking much
Jason thought his heart would explode
He could've been a little upset that you didn't just... talk to him but then again, he also didn't talk to you
Like father, like kid
"You're so stupid!"
Your laughter warmed his heart as he grabbed you by the shoulders and wrapped you in a bear hug, squeezing you tightly
Yep, you still fit perfectly in his arms
"Says the one who listened to the words of fourteen year olds!"
"I was also fourteen!"
Even though you two bickered and grumbled, his sigh of relief in your hair was very telling
And so was the way you clung to him tightly
God, he had missed his kiddo so much
"Never do that to me again, okay? Babies shouldn't grow so fast."
"I'm fifteen, dad."
"And you're also cute and short, so you're still my baby."
"Everyone is short when you're six foot."
"Thank the pit for that."
"I don't think I will, actually."
That night, after the two of you ate your somewhat burnt dinner, Jason carried you to the couch despite your whining and cuddled you as you picked your movie of choice
You did grow, currently in that awkward teen phase with growing pains and longer limbs, but the way you tucked your head beneath his chin was still the same
The way you looked at him, eyes filled with happiness and adoration, was still the same
Your laugh and sharp words, how you still reacted the same way to certain scenes, your mannerisms, attitude, innocence
Sure, you were growing wonderfully
And you definitely mirrored him a lot more than you knew
But Jason had been a fool for thinking you were changing
You were still his baby, the mean kid with a soft heart, rough past, and dirty mouth he grew to love so much he didn't know what to do with himself
And to know that distance between you two had been manipulated and not purposeful ripped his anxiety right out of his chest
You wanted to be by his side just as much
You loved him just as much
And he couldn't ask for more
"You will let me do your hair tomorrow though, you fucking suck at it."
"Suck a bag of dicks, dad."
"Love you too, brat."
The end.
I live for the angst. How would the characters react to their S/O thinking they cheated (or if some of them would cheat)
CHEATING INSECURITIES
summary: would the hotd characters cheat/ how they’d react to you thinking they have.
includes: aemond, aegon, alicent, rhaenyra, daemon, jace, harwin
Tumblr media
aemond would never. he’s so completely obsessed and devoted to you that when you accuse him his mouth just kind of gapes open. he’d chuckle after a second but there’s no humour in it, just a strange confusion. it would definitely get on his nerves a little, can’t you see how much he worships you? he’d make that little humming noise and look you over like you’re some puzzle he needs to solve. ‘you’re the craziest woman i’ve ever met,’ he’d murmur, taking your head in his hands and looking you right in the eye. ‘you’re the only woman for me, i swear it.’
aegon on the other hand. in the first years of your marriage he does, there’s no denying it. he drinks and drinks and disappears every night, often not remembering his activities in the morning. if you confront him he wouldn’t lie, he’d come across as blunt and uncaring but he doesn’t know how to handle it if you’re upset, he’s uncomfortable. once the war begins he starts to rely on you more and spends more time by your side and more importantly in your bed, that’s if you let him after his antics.
alicent wouldn’t bother because she’s fully satisfied in your relationship. with her confrontations with larys, she needs someone she’s completely comfortable and has unwavering trust in, which is you and you only. you’re her safe place which means she’d only really want to be intimate with you. she’d be a bit cold to begin with when you reveal your worries, thinking them completely insane and downright insulting. once you start to get upset she’s more comforting, sitting you down and stroking your hair as she reassures you.
rhaenyra can be content with someone she truly loves. she’s not particularly shocked when you get worried if she’s being faithful considering you know the true births of her three sons but she does her best to show you how different your relationship is and how lonely and touch starved she felt when she was with laenor. she’d make extra time for you, making sure you felt special and loved.
daemon wouldn’t cheat per say but he does enjoy the pleasure of other women whilst with you and he’d prefer you to be on board with that too - so it’s more of an open relationship rather than cheating. he likes to watch you with other partners and he likes to invite people to join the two of you as well if you’re comfortable with it. it’s not a constant thing it’s actually quite rare because he does care for you more than anyone else. of course he can go through periods of monogamy, he just likes the excitement of spicing things up. he’d agree to stop if it upset you but he’d probably still have a wandering eye.
jacerys wouldn’t dare dishonour you or himself. he takes a lot of pride in his vows to you and if anyone ever came onto him he’d flush with embarrassment and shrink away awkwardly. he wouldn’t know what to do when you’d confront him at first but once it sinks in what you’re accusing him of he’s angry that you’d think he’d do such a thing, it insults his honour as a man. he’s not a particularly angry person, it’s one of the only times you’ve seen his temper. he’d take some space and when he comes back he’s much more understanding, holding your hand as you explain what’s made you insecure and he’d talk it through with you.
harwin is very much in love with you and wouldn’t think of touching another woman. to be honest he thinks it’s all a bit of a joke and when you’d mention it to him he’d laugh himself silly at the thought. he just shakes his head when he realises you’re serious before telling you how silly you’re being. he’s very reassuring and affectionate, telling you how much he adores you. he’d certainly make a few dirty jokes to make you feel better too until those thoughts are out of your pretty head.
I had to do a fluffy Hook holiday fic
Tumblr media
Summary: The reader faces the gloom of a lonely Holiday weekend until Tyler invites her to spend the weekend with the Senerchia family.
With the holidays fast approaching on the weekend, the AEW roster enjoy their last show before their small vacation. You've just finished up a match against Skye Blue and are headed backstage to the locker rooms when you run into Tyler hanging around.
"Hey, Tyler." You wave at the stoic enigma that is Taz's heartthrob son.
"Hey, Y/N." Tyler waves back at you, pushing off the wall at the same time. "Nice win over Skye, by the way." He adds. "I see that training with my dad has been paying off."
You bounce on your feet with an eager smile. "It really has!" You agree. "I've been feeling so much more confident in the ring since Taz started giving me pointers. And training with you probably helped as well. Only a little though." You joke with a laugh.
"Well, my dad is the mastermind, not me, after all." Tyler jokes with you. "Anyway. What are you doing this weekend? Any plans for the holidays?" He casually asks.
"No, not really." You shrug. "My mom and stepdad are going to the Bahamas for a week. And I guess they assumed that I'd be busy. Because they didn't invite me." You explain, trying to hide the disappointment in your tone.
Tyler's eyebrows twitch in surprise at your answer. He can tell that you're faking a carefree smile, and he hates seeing you upset. "Damn, Y/N. That sucks." Tyler frowns.
"You're telling me." Your voice cracks as you fake another laugh. "Anyway. I totally need to grab a shower. So, I'll talk to you later, Ty." You quickly dismiss yourself before the urge to cry rears its ugly head.
Tyler silently watches you hurry past him toward the locker rooms. His jaw twitches in frustration that he didn't stop you. But an idea pops into his head and he takes off to find Taz before the show ends.
After some searching, Tyler finds his dad hanging out in catering before the Rampage taping starts.
"Tyler! What's going on, kid?" Taz greets his kid with a friendly smile.
"Hey, Dad." Tyler nods and sits down next to him. "I actually came by to run an idea by you." He explains.
Taz nods and sets down his phone. "Alright. What's up?" He asks Tyler.
"I was just talking to Y/N after her match with Skye about the holidays, right?" Tyler explains. "And apparently her mom ditched her for the holiday for a trip to the Bahamas. And you know that Y/N is an only child." He adds. "So I was wondering if you cared if I invited Y/N to come home with us for the weekend?"
A chuckle falls from Taz's lips at Tyler's request. He's been training you for around 6 months now. You and Tyler have slowly been building quite an interesting friendship.
"Of course, I don't mind!" Taz laughs. "I'm sure that your mom would love to have another kid around for the Holiday." He assures Tyler.
"Cool." Tyler nods. "I'm gonna go ask her right now. I'll text you later, Dad." He takes off with his answer to find you.
Back in the locker rooms you come out of the shower and begin packing up to leave. Your mind is occupied with thoughts about how you're going to spend your holiday weekend alone so it takes a moment to realize someone is knocking on the door.
"Crap!" You curse and hurry to the door when you finally hear the knocking. "Yeah? Oh! Hey, Tyler." You find Tyler standing on the other side of the door. "Come in." You step aside and let him in the locker room.
"Thanks, Y/N." Tyler smiles and steps inside the room.
You shut the door and turn back into the room. Tyler has made himself at home in a chair next to your bags. "So." You walk over to him. "What's up?" You ask casually.
"Yeah, so, I felt kind of bad that you have to spend the holidays alone," Tyler explains. "So I asked my dad if he was cool with you coming home with us. And he said that he'd love to have you. Only if you want though."
"Oh!" You reply with surprise. "That's really nice of you and Taz, Tyler." You admit sheepishly.
Tyler nods, realizing that he might be acting a little forward with you. "Sorry. Like I said, it's only if you want." He assures you.
"I know!" You nod. "Yeah, I'd love to come home with you guys if it's really no trouble." You agree to his offer.
"It's not. Trust me." Tyler chuckles. "My dad really likes you! Maybe even more than me." He jokes. "And my mom is bound to like you too." He adds.
You and Tyler fine-tune your travel plans and the next morning you are on the plane back to New York with Taz and Tyler.
Upon your arrival, Tyler shows you around the house and to the guest bedroom where you'll be staying for the weekend. "I'll let you get your stuff put away." Tyler leaves you at the door of the guest room. "My room is right across the hall." He points to the closed door directly across the hall. "So just let me know if you need anything."
You and Tyler are busy putting your stuff away upstairs so Taz takes some time to talk with his wife.
"She's awfully cute," Theresa comments on you, having only briefly seen Tyler drag you up the stairs upon arrival. "And Tyler seems to really like her." She adds.
"Oh, there is definitely something there, yes." Taz chuckles. "But don't tell Tyler that. Because he'll just deny it."
Taz and his wife both laugh and catch up for a bit. A while later you and Tyler come back down the stairs after having settled in a bit.
"You have a lovely home, Mrs. Sererchia." You compliment Tyler's mom with a friendly smile.
"Thank you, sweetie." Theresa smiles back at you. "I hope that you can enjoy yourself this weekend. And get some much-needed rest." She adds.
You match the woman's warm smile and nod. "I'm sure that I will. It's really cozy here." You admit.
Over the weekend Tyler introduced you to some of the Holiday traditions of the Senerchia family. You help decorate the tree and house, bake cookies, and see a parade. On Christmas Eve you play some games with the family and share drinks before Taz and his wife head to bed for the night.
You and Tyler stay up and watch a few movies while casually chatting about work and some other stuff.
"This was a really nice weekend, Tyler. Thank you for inviting me over." You thank Tyler from your spot snuggled up on the couch beside him.
"Yeah, this weekend was really nice." Tyler agrees with you. "What time is it?" He asks and glances at the clock on the wall.
You glance at the clock on the wall in the dimly lit room. "It's almost 2 am." You answer him. "Why?"
"So it's officially Christmas then?" Tyler replies.
"Yeah. Again, why?" You ask him again.
Tyler slips off the couch in almost a hurry before he turns to you. "I'll be right back. Stay here." He asks you.
You nod and watch Tyler hurry up the stairs. With him gone, you sit up on the couch and wonder where he's gone in such a hurry. A few seconds later you hear him fly down the stairs and rush back to your side with something in his hand.
"Here!" Tyler shoves a small wrapped present your way.
"You got me a gift?" You take the present from him gently. "Awe, Tyler. I didn't get you anything though."
Tyler shakes his head and gestures for you to open it. "It's fine!" He insists. "Just open it now so I don't have to listen to my mom bug me about it in the morning." He asks you.
"Okay." You nod and unwrap the paper to reveal a velvet box. Your heart skips a beat as you open the box and find a necklace inside that sparkles in the room's low light. "Oh my god, Tyler." You look back up at him watching you intently.
"Do you like it?" Tyler asks you. As if the look on your face isn't enough.
Flabbergasted by the expensive sparkling necklace in front of you, words seem impossible for a moment. "Ty, of course, I like it! It's beautiful!" You assure him once you've regained the ability to talk.
"Great! I knew you would!" Tyler beams. "Here, let me put it on you." He gently picks the chain up and moves to help fasten it around your neck.
Tyler secures the clasp into place and steps back. You look down at your chest and admire the way it sparkles against your skin. "Now I really feel bad that I didn't get you anything." You bite the inside of your lip sheepishly.
"You're here," Tyler replies and steps closer to you. "And that's kind of all I wanted for Christmas." He admits.
"Just me?" You answer him with an amused smile.
"Just you," Tyler confirms and leans in for a kiss.
Yandere! Megumi Fushiguro and Stepmother! Teacher! Reader
Tumblr media
had this book idea for a while but i never acted upon it adaejhuef warning: mention of sex and yandere behavior. no curse au
You were a teacher at Akutami High, a school founded by a man named Gege Akutami. There was a rumour about the founder transforming into a one-eyed cat at night but that's another topic. You were an English teacher at this school, and even though everyone in this school are great students, there is one student you couldn't get your mind off of...
Megumi Fushiguro.
He always hung out with Itadori and Nobara and excelled at academics so... What was the issue? Well your co-worker, Gojo Satoru, was concerned for him. He told you that he felt something a little off about his demeanor, even insinuating he might have some mental health problems. You also notice how he would always stay in school after classes were over. Making up excuses like helping you with paperwork or anything he could help you with.
You paid close attention to him. He is a student in your advisory class... it would be wrong to not be concerned for your students. On one afternoon, you approached him after class hoping he would confide in you. He did and he told you about how lonely he was at home and how his father is never home. You felt sorry for him and reassured him that you were there for him, like a second parent, like a mother figure.
But he didn't see you as a mother figure...
When you initiated a parent meeting with Megumi's father, he shockingly came. You scolded him for his parenting and told him to spend more time with Megumi. You honestly don't know how it happened... But ever since that day, Toji started to like you and even courted you... In the end, you became his girlfriend.
Why the fuck would you date him? After everything Megumi planned for the two of you...
"...Y/n." Megumi spoke out, you hummed as you played with his hair. His head was resting on your lap, ever since you started dating Toji, you usually came to their house which made you even closer to Megumi. You see Megumi as your son, so with your motherly instincts, you gave love and affection like any mother would... But... Too bad he had misinterpreted it. Megumi convinced himself that you loved him too, why else would you show him so much love? You're probably just dating Toji to get closer to him... Its true that you love him... But not in the same way as he does.
"I have something to say to you..." He added. "What is it?" You ask, your soft voice was like music to his ears. "I love you." He spoke out, your eyes widen, which made him feel a bit nervous with what you were going to reply. He mentally let out a sigh of relief as you looked at him with a small smile, "I love you too Megumi." You chuckled, but that wasn't the reply he wanted... He felt as if... That reply was what a parent would tell tell child... He hated it. "I love you, I want to marry you, I want to have sex with you, I want to have children with you, Y/n." He repeated, your hand quickly stopped playing with his hair.
You removed your hands from his head, you slowly push his head away from your lap. "W-What... Haha... T-thats n-not a funny jo-joke..." You were in disbelief, and this reaction greatly upset Megumi. He was disapointed that you didn't love him the same way he did... But no worries, he'll make that happen sooner... Or later. You slowly got up from the bench, "I-I need to go-" you were cut off by him grabbing your wrist. "...Where are you going..?" He asks.
You didn't know what to say as you just froze there, your breath hitched as his grip on your wrist tightened and he pulled you close to him. "You're not going anywhere."
Can I request karma x reader(fem) x gakushuu? But no smut and it's like totally (as much as it can be with this boys ) healthy romantic relationship. I especially want to know about 1e reaction and how would they hide it from asano's dad (and probably the rest of the school).
These two boys at the start would be an absolute handful, especially when you are around, they are always looking for ways to one up each other. Always fighting for your affection and sometimes the others.
They do love each other a lot but coming to grips with it would be a challenge for both because of their personalities and pride. Basically the first time they would admit it would be after arguing and in private being tired as hell they would finally admit it to each other, angry/exhausted confessions.
When they realised they liked you it would be individually and they would push the feelings to the side because they would think it was wrong when they already like each other, confessing to them wouldn’t be the best course of action bc both are loyal and would reject you.
Instead they would sit down and talk about the feelings and realise that they both feel the same for you, in doing so with all the connections and money both families have, they would set up the most romantic date ever to confess to you, saying it’s just a meeting then leading you to a mountain decked out in flowers and decorations. Even a freaking famous band to play in the background, the actually confession would be heavily practiced and rehearsed, scripted to be the most heart felt thing you’ve ever heard, maybe written by a famous author.
The actual relationship would be amazing once everything settles down, dates ranging from picnics in a park to flying you to Paris for the evening for dinner, just because they can. I can see Gakushuu’s love language being gifts because his father would give them to show love instead of actually spending time with his son (relatable *crying*) so lots of gifts will be given to you, although he does put in more effort to the relationship quality time wise than his father ever did with him. He would spend hours thinking about the best gifts to give you and Karma that not only suit your personalities but something you would like and actually be useful.
I can see Karma however being more of a quality time person because of the literally 0 time his parents give him, he would rather be with either of you instead of being by himself for one second because he gets extremely lonely. Not that he would ever admit it, or not for a long time anyway. Because of that he would plan dates a lot or just ask (tell) you to come over. Sometimes he just wants to have you near while he does his own stuff and doesn’t want to talk, but he’ll express that so you don’t make him agitated (in the best way possible). Sometimes he just doesn’t want to talk or touch at all but he doesn’t want to he alone either.
Neither would be good with expression their love in words which was fine when they were only with each other but with you it was something that’s needed. Every week they would take some time to tell you and show you how much they love and appreciate you, Gakushuu might even make a slideshow of what you both have done and how much you’ve it meant to him, while Karma would just speak from the heart, but it would take a while to get the words out properly so when he has time to himself he usually writes it all down as notes so he can go off that while still making it special because it’s not scripted necessarily.
At first Gakushuu would be very against letting his father know in any capacity because of the fear and resentment he harbours for his father but also the fear he will make you all break up. On some level as well he doesn’t believe his father deserves knowing. After a year or two however, especially when everyone leaves his fathers schools, he would start bringing you to family events/meetings etc, his father wouldn’t be happy at the start especially because of the throuple and his son dating a male and that male being karma but eventually he just doesn’t care anymore, his success matters far more than who his partners are in his eyes.
If either of you broke his sons heart in a brutal way however, your life would be essentially over. Even if Gakushuu begs him not to and does everything in his power to stop it, his father does love his son and would see it as a natural reaction, no one is allowed to hurt his precious/golden/only child (except for him apparently).
Hiding it from the school would be mostly easy as both boys aren’t very touchy, especially early in the relationship. Most meetups after school would be at Karma’s house as it’s empty 99.9% percent of the time. Dates would usually fly under the radar of Gakushuu’s father, except on school nights or times when they had a scheduled meeting with either each other or important clients.
Class 3e would find out because Gakushuu would send gifts that everyone would ask about so Karma nonchalantly explains that you’re all dating or he would visit himself and ask for the two of you to talk which Class 3-E would eagerly listen in to. Shock all around, especially from Koro-sensei who had pairing already made, no worries tho, he’ll change them quick to match the love triangle going on. Lots of questions and gushing would ensue, ending eventually with then having to swear not to tell anyone, especially on the main campus (as if any main campus students would even talk to them anyways). Okuda might be a slight it sad but she’d hide it well and get over it in a few days, all would wish you well and slightly threaten mostly Gakushuu but both boys not to hurt you. Of course Gakushuu can’t know about Koro-sensei so he’d hide but watch and observe, you may even be able to spot him in the distance of future dates.
I could go for hours about the long term stuff which you might like but that wasn’t specifically requested so I won’t…
“Are you actually looking for a book?” Henry asks with a sigh. “Or are you just wasting my staff’s time?”
“That staff member is my sister.”
“I’m well aware,” Henry says drily. “Doesn’t change the fact that you’re probably wasting her time. Which book are you looking for?”
“Oh.” Alex grimaces slightly. “I’m not actually–” He exhales. “Hunter is in the coffee shop, so I got the fuck out.”
"I'll be your boyfriend for Christmas."
Carlos stares at him like his brain is struggling to comprehend what TK is offering. It's a shared feeling, given that sometimes TK's brain engages before his filter does, and this is definitely one of those times. There’s no room for regrets, though, and he’s not really sure he regrets making the suggestion.
“TK,” Carlos starts softly. "What you're suggesting is— Well, it's a little crazy but also very generous. I can’t ask you to do that for me. It’s really too much to ask of anyone."
TK gets up off his bed and crouches in front of Carlos, his hands on Carlos’s knees. “Firstly, you're not asking, I’m offering. Secondly, consider it a social experiment, like the ones you learn about in class. Except this one directly involves you and me...as your fake boyfriend. You know, for science." --
horsemanship | rhett abbott x reader
disclaimer: first time writing for darling rhett, please give feedback I love hearing from y’all! also let me know if you want a part 2 where they fuck on the meadow cause I’m down for that.
warnings: me waxing poetic about horses I guess! gn!reader, fluff
description: after Royal takes a nasty tumble, and the cattle needs moving - who better to help rhett work than you?
tags for people who might enjoy this: @theharddeck @lt-bradshaw @rhettabbotts @roosterforme @mak-32
It was early morning. For some it might even still be late night, some stumbling home along lonely paths - frightfully lost in their mindless stupor. It’d never occur to judge those for whom this hour was late, it was enviable. Living life to the fullest, taking all that it has to offer - that had to be admirable, right? But this hour was early, not late.
Stifling a yawn, bleary eyes searched for those perfect pair of jeans - the ones that were worn and comfortable for a day in the saddle. A worn long-sleeved t-shirt adorned your upper body already, along with a beat up dark green crew neck jumper. Finding the jeans, doing them up slowly and finding a suitable belt and shoes - you grabbed your water bottle and gear and headed out to the stables, grasping a baseball cap from the hanger by the door.
It had been late last night when Royal Abbott called your residence. It was rare that Royal ever asked for favors, so you knew it must've been rather dire. There had been a storm the previous night, and it seemed as if his cattle might've gotten spooked at the thunder - and so they had migrated to the wrong field for the season. He would've moved them himself, but he'd taken rather a nasty tumble earlier, and whilst he was certain he could make it - Cecilia would likely kill him if he tried. He grumbled in to the receiver that Perry and Rhett could probably manage it on their own if you couldn't help, and you heard Cecilia scowling in the background. A third rider would help if there were strays. She was of course right. So with a smile you'd hung up the phone, eager to spend the day with one of Royals' sons.
Growing up surrounded by all types of animals, you'd learnt early that a lot could be learnt from them. They signal clearly what they’re feeling - you just have to be perceptive enough to pick up on them, a notion that not many people seemed to hone in on these days. Everything had to be done efficiently and fast, which left little room for interpreting a live animals feelings. Animals expressed their feelings without regard, and you figured humankind could learn something from studying them.
Horses especially, are one of the most expressive animals there is. To the uninitiated they might seem like they just eat grass and swish their tails to lazily swat away flies, but if you knew their language you could tell a lot about them. Their signals were so subtle, the flick of an ear, the widening of the eyes, a shake of the head or a lick and chew all meant something different. You knew that you could tell a lot about a man from how he treated his horse, and how his horse treated him.
Royals’ steed trusted his rider, the rider was his leader and the horse seemed confident that Royal would not lead him astray. They were companions, with an understanding that not much more was between them than that.
Perry’s horse ignored his calls, probably because he could tell that in Perry’s eyes - the horse was just a means to an end. A way to get from point A to point B, and a tool to get his job done. It wasn’t that Perry mistreated the animal, it was just that Perry lacked the soul to truly understand his horse in the deeper way that others could. According to you, it said something of his character.
And then there was Rhett. His horse should hate him, considering he had a red mare. Mares were notorious for their mood, and red ones were considered the worst in the mood department. Mares seldom let people touch them, and if they did you would probably get a little nip in the side, an annoyed stomp of the hoof - or a high pitched whinny to let you know that she was not likely to do as you asked - unless you asked very pretty.
Rhett’s mare didn’t like a soul in the world except Rhett. When he called her name she came trotting, ears perked up forward and a low, comforting neigh always welcomed him. He had built such trust with his mare, that he could ask her of anything and she’d ask almost no questions. She still had her days, after all - she was still a mare. It was in her blood. But on the days she figured she knew best, Rhett took it in stride - often with a laugh and a smile if she got a bit cheeky with him, giving him a little buck or a kick of the leg as he spurred her on.
Growing up near Rhett you’d seen the blood sweat and tears he’d put in to make his mare trust him. You’d lost count of the times he’d landed on his back in the gravel, and always getting up with a smile “I’m sorry, sweetheart - I asked the wrong way didn’t I?” It made your heart clench. He knew that it was never the horses fault if there was a miscommunication, he hadn’t asked the right question. He’d started working her from the ground, in one of the round pens, to gain her trust in him to lead her. She was skittish at first, and very stubborn. But Rhett took it all in stride, speaking softly, moving slowly and taking it all in her time.
You think maybe that’s why you fell in love with Rhett. How he treated his mare spoke volumes about his ability to love, to cherish, to listen and to understand. He was attentive, he had a soft soul that gave so much to others and asked for so little back. You could tell he wished that someone would put in enough time to truly understand him too, the way he understood his mare. As you saddled up your beautiful buckskin, you couldn’t help but wish that he’d let that someone be you.
As if the animal beside you could tell that you were deep in thought, he gently nudged you with his muzzle. It was his way of saying - so you’ve saddled and bridled me, attached my saddle bags and gear, are you going to get on today? Chuckling, you placed your baseball cap on your head, put your boot in the stirrup and hoisted yourself easily up on his back. You gave your horse and appreciative pat before gently smacking your lips to make him walk. As you rode towards the Abbott ranch, the sun had started to drown the pastures in a pale orange glow.
The steady movement of your horses walk made your hips move slightly in time with the gait, and it felt as natural as if you were walking yourself. The saddle, being well worn was comfortable, it had to be with the hours you’d need to spend in it. This was second nature to you, as easy as breathing. Nearing the Abbott stables, you spotted Perry and Rhett leading their horses out of the stable. A small chuckle escaped your lips as you saw Rhett’s mare clack her teeth at Perry’s horse. Perry had led him far too close to Rhett’s mare for her liking, and Rhett glared at Perry as the latter struggled his way up in the saddle.
“You know she doesn’t like that,” you heard Rhett grumble, as he gave his mare a soothing pat before swinging himself up in the saddle with ease. This was like breathing for him too. Rhett gave his mare another appreciative pat before letting a murmured "Good girl," slip from his lips, probably subconsciously. It made your cheeks heat up slightly, and you figured it best to make your presence known.
“‘Morning fellas,” you smiled as your horse halted in front of the two men. Perry smiled and nodded towards you, fixing his reins before he let them touch his horses neck to signal he should turn towards the pasture to begin walking.
Rhett smiled as he took in your appearance in the morning sun. It was almost enough to take his breath away. “Morning, sunshine” he smiled as he softly asked his mare to walk next to yours - at a respectable distance of course. Though your horse and his mare got along better than the mare and Perry’s horse.
You smiled, and had to take a deep breath as you took in Rhett’s riding attire. He wore his cowboy hat, something you secretly loved about him. Along with jeans, cowboy boots and a thick, old and worn jacket with a faded aztec print on. It had probably been Royal’s at some point.
“Been a while since I saw you,” Rhett continued, as the sun rose higher in the sky as you searched for the herd. You ducked your head, wondering if you should confess.
“I’ve been to all of your rodeos lately, but you haven’t seen me,” you spoke softly, offering him a sheepish smile. His eyes widened, as he turned his upper body towards yours, his brows furrowed a little as he spoke “No way, I would’ve seen you! Why didn’t you come up to me afterwards?”
“You were surrounded by your family and some girls and I didn’t want to be a bother,” you rambled, feeling your cheeks heat up in the cool morning air. Rhett let out a low chuckle before shaking his head.
“You never bother me, sunshine,” as he spoke, his keen eyes had spotted the heard, and he only had to give you a look before you’d spurred your horses on to start working.
You worked the cattle well into the afternoon, and as they were now peacefully walking towards their correct pasture, Perry asked if the two of you could handle the rest - he needed to head back to pick up Amy from school. Rhett and you nodded as your horses walked behind the heard, waving at him as he steered home.
Rhett looked beautiful in the afternoon sun, a thin sheen of sweat had gathered on his forehead, and in the junction of his throat. He’d since long shed his jacket, fastening it to the saddle in preference of riding in a black, tight t-shirt. You bit your lip softly as he caught you gazing at him. He smiled softly at you, and his beautiful blue eyes felt as if they saw right through you. It was as if he could anticipate your every slight mood swing, and he averted his gaze with a hint of a smile tugging on the corner of his lips. Suddenly you felt like his mare. He didn’t want to scare you off.
“Rhett?” You spoke softly, your voice almost drowned out by the sound of the wind rustling the leaves on the trees.
“Yeah, sunshine?” you licked your lips.
“Do you ever think of me?”
You’d come to a halt, having led the cattle to the correct pasture. You let your horse graze for a bit as you turned to look at Rhett. His eyes were soft, and a lopsided smile adorned his face. He didn’t answer right away, instead dismounting his mare and tying up her reins. He took a few short strides before he stood beneath you, his palm spread on your jean clad thigh. Instinctively, you knew he was asking you to dismount as well. You swung your leg across the horses neck, sitting side saddle for a moment, before you felt Rhett’s strong hands on your hips as you slid down from the saddle.
“Hi,” he whispered with a charming smile, his face so close to yours as he held your hips.
“H-hi” you stuttered out, and Rhett groaned.
“Do I ever think of you, sunshine?” he repeated, leaning into your body, letting you feel his broad chest with the palms of your hand, could feel his slightly erratic heartbeat and the steady rise and fall of his chest as he inhaled and exhaled. His arms had wound around you and rested at your lower back.
“You are always on my mind,” he whispered, his lips gracing your ear softly, his breath ghosting over your neck before his lips followed its path. Your hands gripped his t-shirt, wanting to pull him impossibly close to you and never let go - you wanted him with you, always. Wanted to feel his body against yours like this for the rest of time.
“Rhett,” the whisper of his name, tumbling breathlessly from your lips sounded like a song to him, and the whisper seemed to echo in the mountains - as if you had spoken his name to the gods above and made him who he was. Rhett retreated from his position at your throat, looking into your eyes, trying to read your very soul. He licked his lip, and slowly reached a hand up to tilt his hat back a little - giving you plenty of time to spook, to flee - but your smile lit up the autumn afternoon, and Rhett let the tip of his nose gently touch yours lovingly - teasing you by letting it caress yours.
“Rhett” you spoke again, his name now an impatient prayer that sunk so deliciously into his own skin.
“Yes, sunshine?” He murmured with a smile, his lips so close to yours that you could almost feel them move.
“Kiss me.” it was a breathless question, a whine almost - needing him to take from you what you were willing to give him. You swore you almost heard him whimper at your tender request, but you couldn’t be too sure as he’d closed the gap between the two of you, slotting his pink lips against yours in a searing kiss. He inhaled sharply at the feelings that small kiss stirred deep within him. It didn’t just shoot straight to the gutter as it normally would, but it started a storm of emotions deep within his chest, like an ache that had been slumbering but was now awoken and soothed at the same time.
He broke free to let your name fall from his lips, and it surprised him that tears were burning in his eyes.
Your soft smile and reassuring touch told him that he had finally let you in. Had finally let you be the one to see him and cherish him as he was. He almost beat himself up for not seeing it sooner.
“It’s always been you, hasn’t it, sunshine?” He spoke softly, his hands fluttering over your body in disbelief.
“I’ve wanted it to be me,” you confessed, smiling at the storm of emotions playing on Rhett’s face. You could tell this was overwhelming for him. You were afraid he’d never been loved unconditionally before, on his terms. “But I wanted to give you time. I wanted to understand you first, and I feel like I do now,” you continued, pushing a stray strand of his hair behind his ear, tucking it neatly into his hat.
“And you’ve been here this whole time,” he hiccuped, feeling the emotions drain from his high strung and stressed body.
“And I’ll continue to be here for as long as you need me,” you smiled, pecking his lips sweetly. Rhett’s eyes fluttered close at that statement, his breath stuttering in his throat as he thought of the implication of that.
The notion that maybe you could love him, all of him, as he were. Without having to leave, without having to change. He was good enough to you just as he was now. Rhett. He let his forehead rest against yours, and your eyelids fluttered closed too as you drank in the feeling of the late afternoon sun warming your face. Inhaling the sweet puffs of air that left the lips of the man you now felt you truly understood.
