Happy International Non-binary (Agender) People’s Day! 🖤💜🤍💛🤍💜🖤
Tumblr media
To celebrate international non-binary people’s day (July 14th) and nonbinary awareness week as an agender person, here is the agender nonbinary flag.
The black stripe in the original nonbinary pride flag indicates agender identities specifically, but shifting the flag format provides an explicit agender focus. Since agender is a subset of the broader nonbinary umbrella, it is possible simultaneously show both identities and identify with both to varying degrees. 🎊
Have an amazing week!

Transagender
Tumblr media
For Transgender Awareness Week I'll post the trans+ flag I use personally - the transagender flag.
As an agender, therefore technically nonbinary, therefore technically transgender person, it represents the agender experience through a transgender lens, or vice versa.
The central white stripe of the original transgender flag stands for transitioning and agender/nonbinary identities, the latter tends to get overlooked, so I made it explicitly inclusive.
Below is the pastel version with original colors from the trans and agender flags:

Happy Aromantic Awareness Week!
Here are some aromantic and aromantic+ flags for Aromantic Awareness Week .
Aromantic, Aroace, Aroallo, Aroage and Aroaceage (triple-A) a+spec rep found here. I only had time to include a few flags but there are so many more arospec IDs out there. A-spec identities tend to stack. :)
aroage = aromantic agender aroace = aromantic asexual aroaceage = aromantic asexual agender
Arospec people out there: remember that you are complete as you are and don’t need to change for the sake of amatanormativity and ignorance! Be proud and true to yourselves.

Aro Ace & Aroace flag variant set
Tumblr media
Here is a collection of Asexual vs. Aromantic vs. Aroace equivalent flags for Ace Week! As mirroring orientations in sexual and romantic spheres these are nearly identical save for their defining colors.
It would be swell if the aromantic and asexual flags had the same number of stripes - be it 4 or 5. Less is more, so I vote 4 since the extra light-green in the aromantic 5-stripe flag is the same as agender's sole representative color. It unnecessarily complicates things for those of us who are both aromantic and agender, especially if we wish to use multi a-spec flags and gear. There are lots of variants out there so use what you like best!
Aromantic - dark green
Asexual - purple / violet
Agender - light green
Aroace - blue(& orange) or dark green/purple

A-spec rainbow flags
Some A-spec rainbow flags done on my phone. This is just a 1 layer freehand speedpaint but it gets the idea across.
Tumblr media
Each traditional Aspec color is used on the hoist triangle to specifically include Aromantic, Agender, Asexual & AroAceAge identities as part of LGBTQIA+ community.
These representative colors are aromantic dark green, agender light green, and asexual violet. Black is the unifying “A-” (absence of)color common to all three.
I included a simplified and traditional version for each A, using the 4-stripe aromantic flag which I prefer as it perfectly mirrors the asexual one. Having an extra light green stripe is unnecessary and complicates things as it is agender’s sole representative color.
The 7-striped spectral rainbow is centered on neutral green, the same position as it is on the seven-striped agender flag. Warm and cool colors are perfectly divided in the ROYGBIV rainbow, 🌈 much better looking than the 6 striped one IMO. The seven striped pride rainbow was created by Gilbert Baker a year before the common 6 striped one (1978).
The bottom Aspec progress flag can be either a triple-A / AroAceAge flag, or a general A-spec one to show that the A in lgbtqiA is for Aromantics, Asexuals and Agenders. The bottom right Sunset AAA flag combines both traditional and “sunset” AroAceAge colors together.

Sunset AAA flag elements 🔋 🔋 🔋
Here is a visual breakdown of 3 sunset AAA (Aromantic Asexual Agender / AroAceAge) flags.
Tumblr media
Spectral sunset / OYGBI flag: A simple 5 striped flag of analogous flowing colors: Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue & Indigo to be exact. This is the rainbow spectrum minus red and violet, and communicates a seamlessly integrated AAA experience.
Spectral+ sunset flag: Edging the spectral flag with black gives it the 7 striped agender format. Dark bands on either side acknowledge IR (Infrared) and UV (Ultraviolet) spectra, showing awareness of what lies beyond, in addition to providing excellent contrast.
Green flash sunset flag: White on either side of agender green divides the color elements creating a flash effect.  This green flash recalls the eponymous atmospheric phenomenon that occurs at sunset(& sunrise) - when the sun sets/rises from the horizon a brilliant flash of green light can occasionally be seen. Adding this green flash kicks the aroace sunset flag up a level or 10 - into an aroaceage sunset flag.
🔋🔋🔋 Feel free to utilize these AAA flags if you find them useful. 🔋🔋🔋

Panbow & Omnibow Pride
Below are some expanded pan and omni flags. These modifications have even tertiary color flow with an expanded focus on queerness, tertiary attraction and lgbtqia+ diversity. I wanted something for those on the queerer side of the pan & omni spectrums.
Tumblr media
The 5 striped panbow flag is made by adding intermediate tertiary colors between the familiar pan stripes and shifting them to be equally spaced on the color wheel. This produces a natural magenta, vermilion orange, amber/yellow, lime green & cyan/blue flow.
The 5 striped omnibow is also color shifted into equally spaced tertiary colors for better flow: Red, Magenta, Violet, Indigo & Blue. It has similarities to the currently popular omnisexual and bisexual flags but doesn’t look as stereotypically gendered, expanding evenly outward from neutral/androgynous violet into red and blue.
Because these flags thematically use tertiary colors they can specifically express tertiary attraction or appreciation, and are particularly useful to the asexual, aromantic and agender communities though they are made for everyone to use.
The central star symbolizes aesthetic (or tertiary) attraction specifically and can be filled with any color one sees most fitting for them. For me it is neutral or nonbinary colors!

Greenscale elements 🔋🔋🔋
A colorscribble of the greenscale AAA (Aromantic Asexual Agender - AroAceAge) flag breakdown.
Tumblr media
The top black stripe is the common unifying element - "A". Traditional colors are then pulled directly from each "A" flag in their respective locations: dark green from the top of the aromantic flag, light green from the center of the agender flag and violet/purple from the bottom of the asexual flag. This naturalistic order produces the same format and look of the asexual flag with a green value shift.
Here the color green indicates a spectrum in the same way black, gray and white do in the individual "A" flags.
A simple greenscale shift represents a combined unified AroAceAge experience. 🔋🔋🔋

2/22/22 celebration! To commemorate this special day I created some new mirror and gradient aroace flag variants that use traditional aromantic (green) & asexual (violet/purple) colors. These were done on a phone so things still need adjusting, but the idea is what counts!

Tertiary color flags
By dividing the tertiary rainbow of Magenta, Vermilion, Amber, Lime, Cyan & Indigo into alternating colors one gets two sets that coincidentally create related yet opposite flags.
Tumblr media
Magenta Amber & Cyan create a Pansexual flag, while Vermilion Lime & Indigo create a Triple-A (Aromantic Asexual Agender) flag. Pansexuals are attracted to all genders and AAAs are attracted to none. Full spectrum covered. Olé.

¡Agender Spec Flags! ¡Happy Pride month Agender Avengers!
🔋🔋🔋 🔋🔋🔋 🔋🔋🔋
I tried to design as many agender focused multi-identity flags as I could for pride month. These all have 7 stripes margined in black or darker colors. The first AAA (Agender Aromantic Asexual) vertical row was mostly designed by others (FormicaRufa and aro-ace-agender-space have their lovely AAA flags included).
I tweaked a popular unattributed AAA sunset flag to have more equidistantly related colors (like the spectral flag) and have been calling it the "Green Flash Sunset" flag.
The "Green Flash" is an amazing atmospheric phenomenon occasionally seen at sunrise or sunset where one can glimpse a momentary brilliant flash of spectral green light. This extra-special flash and color balance tweak evolves the Aroace Sunset flag into the AroAceAgender Green Flash Sunset flag. The name was just too fitting not to use. This same effect is more fluidly seen in both the Spectral and Tertiary AAA flags where the colors blend seemlessly without white separations.
The Greenscale AAA flag and AroAceAgenderSpace's AAA flag use traditional Agender, Aromantic & Asexual colors for those who prefer established traditional color symbolism.
Other flags I am proud of here are the AroAge(agearo), AgeAce (aceage), Anonbinary, Agenderqueer and Transagender flags. They were fun to make! Feel free to use them if they work for you.
Please don't forget the "A" in LGBTQIA! "A" stands for Agender, Aromantic & Asexual, not ally. We A-specs are here and part of the community! Again, have a wonderful pride month!

Agender focused A-spec flags
Here are a few agender formatted 7 striped flags representing various AA and AAA identities. These flags are margined in black and focused on a central color (usually green).
Tumblr media
AAA spectral flag. (Spectral Triple-A flag)
This flag is a spectral fusion between aromantic agender and asexual spectrums and identities. It can also be used as an expanded A-spec flag. Amber/Orange can represent aromanticism, green - agenderism while indigo represents asexuality (as the complementary color to amber). These colors are equally spaced on the color wheel and integrate seamlessly into a whole flowing spectrum. A 5 striped version without the black agender bars is also sometimes used.
AAA tertiary flag. (Tertiary Triple-A flag)
Tumblr media
The tertiary AAA flag uses equally spaced tertiary colors from the color wheel and is extremely similar to the spectral AAA flag, being an offshoot of it. Vermilion, Amber, Lime, Cyan & Indigo create a full rainbow spectrum (magenta is not a spectral color and is the only missing tertiary). Like the spectral flag, aroace and agender color locations are preserved with seamlessly integrated colors. Aroaceage identity can be more than the sum of its parts. A 5 striped simplified version without the black agender bars is also used.
AAA 7 striped greenscale flag. Triple-A flag.
Tumblr media
The 7 striped greenscale flag with the traditional aromantic, agender and asexual colors arranged in the asexual format and mirrored. The 4 striped greenscale flag was the original.
Below is the alternate AAA 7-striped greenscale flag:
Tumblr media
This greenscale variant is focused on agender green at the center and can indicate a similar agender focus of identity It is interchangeable with the original greenscale flag.
AA(A) Flag :
Tumblr media
This 7 striped flag can either be read as Aromantic Asexual (AA - aroace), or Agender Aromantic Ace (AAA). This depends on how once considers the central white stripe. White can either represent agenderism and gender neutrality (as in the transgender and genderqueer flags) or as a bridge or commonality between aro and ace aspects if read as aroace. Removing the black margins gives a simple 5 striped aroace flag.
AA(A)Nonbinary flag :
Tumblr media
The AA(A) Nonbinary flag could be read as either as double-A (Non-binary Agender Asexual) or triple-A (aromantic agender asexual) nonbinary. Green can either stand for Aromantic or Agender elements.
The difference is how one regards the yellow element. If seen as a AAA flag, yellow can indicate a nonbinary aspect to one’s agender identity and represent both spectrums simultaneously.
AAA 7 striped nonbinary flag :
Tumblr media
In this AAA Non-binary flag agender green and nonbinary yellow fuse into chartreuse (or lime depending on the design) to indicate a nonbinary aspect to one’s agender identity.
AA : Aromantic Agender (Agender Aromantic) flag :
Tumblr media
The Aro-age (Age-aro?) flag is pretty self explanatory. The greens produce a nice monochrome value gradation.
AA : Agender Asexual flag :
Tumblr media
The above flag represents the combined agender and asexual spectrums, also alloromantic agender aces.
The colors of these flags are not final and the hue/saturation is still a work in progress as some may regard them as too vivid. If anyone wants to alter and tweak the saturation and brightness please do so and share your results! Designs can always use improvement.
Feel free to use these Agender focused A-spec flags!

AAA rainbow flag variants
Below are various AAA spectral rainbow flags. Recent blogging activity shows they may also be the most popular of my designs. Hooray! Glad people find them useful.
Tumblr media
The expanded flag has 9 stripes, 7 tertiary analogous colors (Amber, Yellow, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue & Indigo) flanked by black and centered on green in the agender format. This arrangement allows a seamless integration of Aromantic Agender & Asexual spectrums into a complete whole identity. The warm colors could indicate the aromantic spectrum & or non-romantic connection. Neutral green represents a natural agender and non-binary experience while cool colors can represent asexuality or aroace identity. Black reinforces the integrated A-spec aspect.
Aspecaspect. I like it. A new #Hashtag.
The restricted tertiary spectrum between amber and indigo differentiate the rainbow/spectral AAA flag from the typical LGBT rainbow flag, indicating an existance outside of heteronormative, gendernormative & amatonormative expectations.
The simplified 7 striped version is more popular:
Tumblr media
Less is more. 7 stripes FtW? Yellow and lime fuse into chartreuse yellow, while cyan and and blue merge into Azure blue. The colors are still equally spaced for seamless spectral color gradation.
Below is the extended spectrum with the black stripes removed. It looks closer to the popular sunset aroace flag but is still balanced on agender green. ⬇. Simultaneously energizing yet calming. 🌈
Tumblr media
Below is the simplified spectral AAA flag without the black agender bars to form a 5 striped focused rainbow. I really like this one for how simple yet pleasing it turned out.

Tertiary Rainbow!
Magenta | Vermilion | Amber | Lime | Cyan | Indigo
Here the six neglected tertiary colors get their time to shine. Tertiary colors lie between secondary and primary ones. This spectrum makes a fun alternative to the common rainbow and has become my favorite 6-striped version. When going through daily life don’t forget to notice the tertiary colors all around. 🌈
In English, Italian, Spanish, French, German, Russian & Chinese.
The tertiary rainbow encourages us to see colors outside the basic crayon box.

Spectral rainbows! My rainbow flags nearly always have an infrared stripe above and ultraviolet stripe below. When looking at real rainbows I often see a hazy extension of color fading off either side corresponding to these categories. If you focus you will see it, but cameras display it much better. These electromagnetic wavelengths are just as real as the typical visual spectrum and offer a more complete picture. In most designs they appear near-black or dark red and dark violet, but I have occasionally drawn them as lighter desaturated versions of red & violet.
The rainbow traditionally has 7 spectral colors - Red Orange Yellow Green Blue Indigo and Violet (ROYGBIV). Of these 3 are primary (red, yellow, blue), 3 are secondary (orange, green, violet), & 1 is tertiary (indigo). Neutral green divides the warm and cool colors.
Tumblr media
12 striped rainbow (primary+secondary+tertiary colors)
An expanded 12 striped rainbow gives all tertiary colors equal representation including one color that is not found in the electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) and is only seen by mixing light frequencies - Magenta. Since magenta isn’t part of the EMS it can go on either end of the rainbow.
The 12 colors are: Magenta, Red, Vermilion, Orange, Amber, Yellow, Lime, Green, Cyan, Blue, Indigo & Violet.
If we add IR & UV we get the full spectrum rainbow below.
Tumblr media
I moved magenta to the bottom here so green remains near the middle for visual balance. 14 stripes is quite a lot, but makes for a lovely color gradient.
Remember to expand your rainbows. There is always more than meets the eye. 🌈

AAA2 : Triple A flag variants
This post will be a collection of the second AAA (Aromantic Asexual Agender) flag design.  It is nearly identical to the first design but utilizes bright green from the Agender flag instead of white. The stripe colors and location are important: Dark green is from the top of the Aromantic flag, purple from the bottom of the Asexual flag, bright green from the center of the Agender flag, and black from all three.
BLACK   -   Absence of gender and sexual/romantic attraction
DARK GREEN  -  Aromanticism
BRIGHT GREEN  -  Agender
PURPLE  -  Asexuality
Simplified flag:
Tumblr media
Expanded flag:
Tumblr media
In addition to representing individual elements, the black, dark green and lighter green can indicate a spectrum of identity.  Bright green gives this flag series an intense and futuristic look when compared to the original design.
