How to recover from

First and foremost what is failure and how does it make us feel? To put it simply, failure is setting a goal but not achieving it. Whenever we fail at something we tend to feel ashamed, disappointed, and angry at ourselves. Those feelings of hurt and embarrassment can lead to us getting unmotivated, today I will be teaching you all how to overcome the bitter taste of failure.
ReFraming The Situation: Analyze and further understand what you failed at and how. In which ways did these circumstances affect you? In what way can you learn from these mistakes and improve yourself?
For Example: Let’s take a situation where I don’t meet my expectations for a test. I failed at reaching my desired score, because I didn’t study well and was distracted. After receiving my results it affected me negatively, I felt angry and disappointed with myself. Well, since my cause was due to lack of understanding and distractions next time I can make sure to put a decent amount of time into studying days before-hand and getting adequate amounts of sleep before the exam.
How To Stay Resilient In The Face Of Failure:
Having A Growth Mindset: “Believing that your abilities aren't innate but can be improved through effort, learning, and persistence. A growth mindset is all about the attitude with which you face challenges, how you process failures, and how you adapt and evolve as a result.”
Problem Solving: “The act of defining a problem; determining the cause of the problem; identifying, prioritizing, and selecting alternatives for a solution; and implementing a solution.”
Recognition: “Appreciating the efforts that you and others have dedicated thus far. Feel successful by weighing the process as much as or more than the outcome.”
Self Compassion: “Showing kindness towards yourself and others involved in the failure. Focus on empathy and keeping the failure in perspective. There’s a difference between admitting failure and beating yourself up over it.”
Cognitive Ability: “Be willing to quickly learn from failures and pivot to new opportunities.”
Remember, If we aren't failing, we probably aren't taking enough risks. Failure is a part of success.

~ My Night Routine ~

🌷The first step of my night routine is always take a shower, I shower at around 6 pm right after I finish working out.
🌷I oil pull my teeth, Brush them, Use mouthwash, Floss, Cleanse my face, and Wash my body.
🌷After I get out i’ll immediately ice my face, do skincare, gua sha, put a lip mask on, and oil my eyelashes/eyebrows. I’ll apply some lotion and deodorant on my body before getting dressed in some cute pajamas and braiding my hair.
🌷I always prepare a mug of green tea and drink it while I tidy up, do my daily blog, and read a chapter of Atomic Habits.
🌷Finally i’ll do some before-bed stretching, Listen to a guided meditation, Journal, Pray, Say my affirmations, spray my pillows with a lavender spray, And go to sleep at around 9-10 while listening to subliminals!

~ My Morning Routine~

🌷I wake up at 5 am everyday, making sure to get up immediately instead of laying in bed.
🌷After getting up I follow a stretching video, listen to a guided positive affirmation meditation, pray, and journal.
🌷After all of that I tidy up my room, take the trash out, feed my cats, do a quick ab workout, and finally change into my clothes for the day.
🌷Following all of that I go into the bathroom to officially get ready for my day! I brush my teeth and use mouthwash, cleanse my face, ice my face making sure it air-dries, Do my skincare, Gua sha, Jade roll, put sunscreen on, and finally putting aqupahor on my lips, doing my hair, and putting lotion and perfume on.
🌷Now is when i’ll put on a episode of a podcast and listen to it as I make and eat breakfast. It depends on the day but after i’ll either leave home to go to dance practice or stay home and study.

ANUA Heart Leaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil
Okay, I’m sure most of us having probably heard of this product once or twice right? Upon my first time using it gunk, blackheads, and whiteheads that I didn’t even know I had came up due to this product. Overall it’s made my skin really smooth and clear so much so that it literally looks like i’m wearing a real life filter when I look into the mirror!
CERAVE Foaming Facial Cleanser
An amazing product through and through, you can never go wrong with this cleanser tbh. I was using the ANUA heart leaf foaming cleanser but it literally broke me out so bad, I think it’s because of the fragrance so I had to switch back to this one and it’s cleared up all of the breakouts.
ANUA Heart Leaf 77% Toner Pads
Hydrates my skin SOO well I always use just 2 pads and let them sit on my cheeks for a bit before applying it to my face entire face and neck but they’re so calming especially after i’ve had them in the fridge.
ANUA Heart Leaf 77% Soothing Toner
I may as well be using the whole line at this point.. but this toner has been blowing up for so long I just decided I had to buy it and give it a try, and oh my god how this product cleared my breakouts so so quickly. Such a good product to use when your breaking out it truly does a really good time soothing it.
COSRX Snail Mucin 96% Power Essence
Yes i’m highly influenced I know! I’m so glad that I got this product, it’s like a holy grail for acne. This paired with the two toners is such a blessing, no seriously. This product aids in getting rid of bumps I had on my face especially on my forehead.
ANUA Peach 70% Niacinamide serum
My faveee I can talk about this product for soo long. I’ve tried many serums but none come close to this one it’s such a good product even my mom started using it. The scent is amazing it smells exactly like peaches, after immediately applying this serum onto my face it gives such a nice dewy glow and helps brighten my face! Makes me feel like such a princess. Last Anua product I promise.
Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Moisturizer
They were not lying when they said glow.. Using this product gives you an INSTANT glow to your skin and the scent is so dreamy and perfect. I have not been using this product long and honestly besides the glowiness it gives and the yummy scent there’s not really anything special about it. And why is it so expensive..
LA ROCHE-POSAY Melt-In Milk Sunscreen 60
Such a nice sunscreen, leaves no white cast, is glowy but not to a point where it just looks greasy. Only problem I have with it is the packaging, it kinda like explodes or leaks? I don’t know if it’s the actual product itself or maybe just a error on my end but it gets really annoying sometimes but overall a really good choice of sunscreen!
LANEIGE Berry Lip Sleeping Mask
Yes as I said highly influenced… I always use this after finishing my skincare routine before i’m about to go to bed. It leaves my lips really moisturized and soft and smells amazing! At first I thought it would be the same as any other lip mask but it’s such a unique and nice consistency that I haven’t seen before in a lip mask.

Establishing A Proper Routine: Find and experiment with products in order to find a perfect routine that fits your skin and time.
Taking Your Time To Cleanse: Instead of rushing through cleansing you should be taking about 1-2 minutes to thoroughly cleanse your face.
Treating both your face and neck: Skincare does not end at your neck! You should be taking as much time to take care of your neck as you do your face.
Icing: There’s a lot of mixed opinions about this topic but, it aids in easing acne, reducing puffiness, and reducing oiliness.
AirDrying: “Air-drying your face allows you to ditch the rough, irritating towel and give your skin a much-needed breather with no rubbing required.” It is way better especially if you have acne-prone skin but, if you have oily skin it may make your skin produce more sebum.
Drying Your Face With A PaperTowel: If you don’t have the time to air-dry your face, instead of drying it with a towel or washcloth pat your face dry with a soft cotton paper towel. They are way more gentle and skin-friendly.
Double Cleasning: You should be double cleansing every night! Either with a balm cleanser or oil cleanser. Double cleansing is extremely important if you wear makeup or sunscreen throughout the day as it deeply cleanses your face and works to remove all grime, dirt, products, etc.
Consistency: The most vital thing when it comes to skincare! Always remember consistency is key.
Weekly Face Masks: It is not mandatory for clear skin. But, taking time once or twice a week to apply a face mask is so beneficial.
Avoid Letting A Serum Dropper Touch Your Face: When applying serum onto your face avoid letting the dropper touch your skin, as it “can allow bacteria to grow inside your bottle of serum and make it go bad much sooner than you'd like.” along with risks of breakouts and infections.
Avoid Touching Your Face With Dirty Hands: One of the main causes for acne is touching your face with dirty hands. Try your best to not touch your face throughout the day but, if you really need to, make sure to wash your hands beforehand.

🌷Todays topic is about constantly being on & having an addiction to your phone/electronic devices and the negative impact it has on you. First and Foremost, what is a “Smartphone/Electronic addiction?” or in other cases “nomophobia?” To put it simply, It is when “you spend more time on social media or playing games than you do interacting with real people, or you can’t stop yourself from repeatedly checking texts, emails, or apps even when it has negative consequences in your life”
🌷Now being on your phone is not a bad thing, in fact it can be a hugely productive and useful thing. But, when you find yourself using it all day long without breaks it can cause nothing but problems. Of course most of us have fallen victim to being glued to our phones 24/7 but what causes it? What are the side-effects? How do I stop it? And most importantly what can I do instead?
🌷Let’s start from the beginning, What Causes A Smartphone/Device Addiction? A person who results to their phone are usually suffering from physiological and/or emotional issues, loneliness, social anxiety’s, and FOMO (Fear Of Missing Out), but mainly boredom and escapism. When using social media apps or Games you receive a dopamine hit that gets lodged into your brains system. “Dopamine” is a neurotransmitter that acts on areas of your brain to give you feelings of pleasure, satisfaction, and motivation. The dopamine that you get from being on your phone causes you to spend more and more time online until it’s all you do, eventually leading in a addiction to the dopamine rush.

🌷How Can I Break A Phone Addiction? Breaking an addiction is never an easy thing to do, so you should take it a step at a time instead of completely diving into not using it at all.
🦢#1. Realizing That You Have A Problem And It Needs To Be Fixed. The first step to getting better in this situation is acknowledging the fact that you are spending too much time on your phone, missing out on real life, and harming yourself without even knowing it.
🦢#2. Setting Goals And Intentions. Come up with a plan that is realistic and reachable to help cutting down on phone use. An example of this is setting a limit to your screen time, setting up a system where your phone locks after passing that limit.
🦢#3. Create A Phone-Free Zone. A great example of this is eliminating phone use while at school. I remember how I used to constantly doom scroll on my phone while in the middle of class, not even bothering to pay attention to the lesson. But, after I started not using my phone during school hours I got a lot more productive, motivated, and excited to learn, not even thinking about my phone once.
🦢#4. Getting Rid Of Harmful Apps. When I was breaking my addiction this was the most crucial step in my opinion. I had deleted all of my social media apps only leaving Tumblr, Youtube, and Pinterest. Tiktok, Instagram, And Snapchat we’re the first to go and it was such an amazing decision, truly. Those apps were my main addictions and getting rid of them has made me so at peace and happy with myself and my life.
🦢#5. Getting Dopamine In A Healthy Way. As I stated before, the main reason for a phone addiction is caused by the dopamine that comes from it. But you can also get dopamine in many healthy and productive ways, I will list some healthy and natural dopamine boosters in the next section.
🦢#6. Rewarding Your Progress. Recognize and celebrate progress. Write down how much time you’ve spent on your phone today and check again in 1-2 weeks and see if you’ve made any progress. There’s so many ways you can reward yourself, whether it’s taking yourself out on a date, making a cake to celebrate, there’s endless ways!
🌷Lastly, What Can I Do Instead Of Going On My Phone?
🦢Read a book or journal
🦢Color or draw
🦢Learn new skills or Discover a new hobby
🦢Exercise or go for a walk/run
🦢Step outside and see and appreciate the world around you
🦢Spend some quality time with family or friends
🦢Practice gratitude and mindfulness
🦢Develop a self care routine
🦢Do Yoga and daily stretching
