I admire your optimism about this arc even though I do not understand it
quackity has said on multiple occasions that they're not just going to kill off the eggs, for one, and for two again i think it's just as stupid to be unreasonably pessimistic as it is to want everything you want to happen to occur.
if i was truly optimistic i would argue this whole thing is a facade and actually there's a bunch of hidden puzzles on these islands and a ton of investigating to do and everyone will make a commune and survive together and figure out what's going on and also spiderbit will make out with blood in their mouths. that last one is actually pretty realistic but you get my point.
i understand that this event really is not for me, but i also understand what is actually reasonable to expect from qsmp admins, and killing off the eggs, which they've promised they would not do in this manner, is not realistic either.
and i think angst for angst's sake is boring and narratively unsatisfying. so they're not going to do that.

idc what people are whining abt, i actually really enjoyed the netflix avatar series. the costume and set design was really beautiful, the effects were great, the performances were great. i think people are weirded out about the pacing and i understand that, but at the same time, they're working on netflix's budget and i think they did a great job utilizing the important material in book 1 to tell as well rounded of a story as they possibly could. and like sure, i get that it was jarring to see them start at the VERY beginning instead of starting w katara and sokka finding aang like the original show does for ex, but like. idk! i think they shouldn't feel obligated to hit every plot point beat for beat and i don't think we lost anything by establishing aang's background early on. actually, every single scene with master gyatso made me fucking bawl lol. aang's loss is soooo much more palpable in this show than the original one imo bc it lingers on that pain a lot more. there were a few story choices that kinda made me scratch my head a bit, like the fact that teo wasn't introduced as part of the new Northern Air Temple population and what effects that had on aang, but i'm really not mad about it. anyways i give it two big thumbs up and i hope it gets renewed for another season

A Gentle Reminder
Don't beat yourself over "not doing your best enough". When we talk about doing "your best" or "our best", it usually means, "the best the person is capable of given their circumstances". It surely does not mean THE BEST, and everyone's 'best' isn't always same. Heck! Even your best may differ from time to time, because circumstances change. That's why be kind to yourself, the way you'd be towards another person trying their best.

ive seen some people justify IW writing issues by saying the other games in the series were like that too and im like ??? first of all do you not think people complained about the problems in the other games too and second of all do you not want them to keep improving?? such a weird justification to me
i love these games though dgmw i just thought IW could've been so much better story wise 😭😭
my beef with the 'the writing was bad in other games too' defense is that First Off. What-Aboutism arguments are just horrendous in general imo since it doesn't argue anything for the point, it's just someone going 'well This Thing is a thing so This Thing should be valid too' like no !! surprise !! it's still lame and you're not doing anything to convince me it's not lame. right now youre just making an excuse for a thing to Be Lame
and Secondly, since 0 the majority of people have had little complaints about the writing of RGG's latest entries (not that i doubt people have them, but i definitely don't hear them as often as i do older titles and their shortcomings dont feel as obivious as IW's or previous entries). what makes IW's writing stick out so much is that right after Y7- hell after GAIDEN the quality is just so stark you cant help but notice
to top it all off, what really shot IW in the foot was just how much hype was built around it. obviously theyre gonna hype up a game theyre gonna drop, but when they promote things like 'dont play this in one sitting' and 'this is rgg's best game yet', the bar's gonna be incredibly high

Courtney
First impression
Impression now
Favorite moment
Idea for a story
Unpopular opinion
Favorite relationship
Favorite headcanon
Thank you so much for this ask!! I’m sorry it took me so long to answer.
I already did Courtney, so instead, I’ll do Linda, because I got another ask about her that I completely forgot to answer (and it disappeared)!!
First impression: I think I’ve always enjoyed Linda and her presence. But I think at first, I just didn’t have too much of an opinion on her. Shameful, I know. But that definitely changed once the show began fleshing her out.
Impression now: She is an icon, she is the moment, she is my wife. I love her dearly. The only person who loves her more is probably @jimmypesto. Carolyn is definitely the Linda connoisseur. She’s just so funny and relatable, as well as being a wonderful wife and mother. She’s so full of life, laughter, and love, it’s impossible not to love her and get sucked into her fantasies sometimes.
Favorite moment: Oh god, there are so many to choose from. One of my favorites is when she rejects Upskirt Kurt’s advances, and even headbutts him. Specifically headbutts him because she’s holding wine. Also probably the entirety of Linda-Pendant Woman, because she’s great in that episode. And also when she made up Kill the Turkey in An Indecent Thanksgiving Proposal.
Idea for a story: Maybe a story that examines her relationship with her toxic parents, especially Gloria, and her actually standing up for herself for once. God, I could just talk about how awful Gloria and Al are all day.
Unpopular opinion: Linda’s not annoying!! Linda haters feel similar to Gene haters, probably because the two of them are quite similar in personality. But Linda is so sweet and fun-loving!! She’s not annoying. Maybe on a couple of occasions, but what character isn’t on occasion?? No one’s perfect. I feel as if people are so overly harsh on her and Gene. Also, she’s not the only weird one in her and Bob’s relationship. Bob is equally weird. That’s why they love each other!!
Favorite relationship: Boblin Boblin Boblin Boblin Boblin—Okay, you get the idea. I’ll never get tired of talking about how much I love these two together, they’re so adorable. They’re just two weirdos who found each other and are so in love and running a lovely restaurant. It’s struggling, but they don’t care, so long as they have each other. Linda’s pure devotion to Bob is so admirable and sweet, and just—god, I’m getting emotional again. I also love her mother-daughter relationship with Louise, as they’re way more similar than one would first think. Linda was basically just like Louise when she was younger, maybe even a little worse. Thankfully, Linda’s definitely matured over the years.
Favorite headcanon: Okay, this is one I made up myself, but my favorite headcanon is that she’s secretly actually very good at math and doesn’t even realize it. The only evidence I even have is the fact that she handles all of the restaurant’s finances, and Bob was totally lost handling them himself when she briefly left in Linda-Pendant Woman, so clearly, she has to have some sort of talent for numbers. I like to think she only yells out “four” as a response to every math question is that when she’s put on the spot to do math, she overthinks it, so it’s easier to just say the same number as a response every time. This’ll probably get debunked by canon, but it’s still fun to think about.

Fall Forward: Embracing Failure as Fuel for Your Journey
We've all been there: the sting of defeat, the bitter pill of falling short. Failure, that unwelcome visitor, often leaves us feeling discouraged, questioning our abilities and doubting our paths. But what if we reframed this unwelcome guest? What if, instead of fearing failure, we saw it as a signpost on our journey, a valuable teacher guiding us towards growth and success?
Think of a child learning to walk. Each stumble isn't a defeat, but a lesson in balance, coordination, and the sheer resilience of the human spirit. We celebrate their persistence, their joyous "aha!" moments after each conquered tumble. As adults, why do we deny ourselves the same grace?
Embracing failure isn't about celebrating defeat. It's about acknowledging its inevitability and transforming it from a roadblock into a stepping stone. Here's why:
Failure is a Universal Language: No one, not even the most accomplished individuals, escapes its grasp. From historical figures like Edison to modern-day entrepreneurs, failure is a common thread woven into the tapestry of success. Recognizing this universality can lessen the sting and empower you to join the ranks of those who learned and grew from their setbacks.
Failure Breeds Resilience: Every misstep, every setback, builds mental muscle. By facing failure head-on and learning from it, you develop the resilience needed to bounce back from future challenges. This newfound resilience becomes your armor, allowing you to navigate the inevitable bumps on the road with greater confidence and determination.
Often, the path to success is paved with detours. Failure can be that unexpected turn, forcing you to explore new avenues, experiment with different approaches, and discover hidden strengths and talents you never knew you possessed. It pushes you beyond your comfort zone, fostering creativity and innovation.
The greatest lessons often come from our mistakes. By analyzing what went wrong, you gain invaluable insights into your strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. This self-awareness becomes your compass, guiding you towards more informed decisions and strategic actions in the future.
No one likes to be wrong, but acknowledging our shortcomings keeps us grounded. Embracing failure reminds us that we are not infallible, fostering humility and a willingness to learn from others. This openness to feedback and collaboration ultimately fuels our progress.
So, the next time you encounter failure, don't despair. Instead, see it as an opportunity to:
Reflect: Analyze the situation, identify what went wrong, and learn from your mistakes.
Reframe: Shift your perspective. View failure as a stepping stone, not a dead end.
Refocus: Use your newfound knowledge to adjust your approach and move forward with renewed determination.
Remember, the path to success is rarely linear. Embrace the detours, the stumbles, and the falls, for they are often the very experiences that shape you, refine you, and propel you towards your goals. So, conquer your mountain, one failure-fueled step at a time!
Share your failures with others! You'd be surprised how many can relate and how much you can learn from each other's experiences. Remember, we're all in this journey together, failures and all. Remember, you are resilient, and every setback is an opportunity for growth. Be kind to yourself, believe in your capabilities, and keep moving forward.

Acting on the love I have inside. I was able to share a gratitude gift with Taylor who helped me with the western union mishap. Successfully she was able to receive. Then while at work Cheree and Ashleigh then shared a gratitude gift with me. The law of reciprocity is very real to acknowledge. THANK YOU GOD/UNIVERSE/ANCESTORS for earth angels. THANK YOU FOR SEEING ME. Love and support I AM deserving of. Keep vibing higher, walking in love.
