Baneful Spellwork positive post

There are so many valid, reasonable, understandable things that would warrant a practitioner casting a baneful spell against someone else.

Your biggest ally in a baneful working: GIVE YOUR SUBJECT AN "OUT"

a change in behavior, a sincere apology, returned items. Whatever your reason is for your working, give them a way to break it themselves.

Pavlov that fucker into righting their own wrongs. "If you're honest, genuine, & kind, things will start to go your way again. If you continue in your malice, your life will fall apart."

In my personal practice, I don't follow any bastardized karmic retribution, or a rule of three. I believe that the Universe is a perfect balance of positive & negative forces, and it isn't fond of anything throwing that balance too far off kilter.

Without a "breaker" built in, your spell will eventually start to backfire. And it will backfire in the direction it came from.

Things to Remember When Cursing

1. When casting curses it not only involves energy work but knowledge on how to use it to your advatnage against your target. Manipulating your targets energy so it turns back on them and only them.

2. Curses also take a certain level of psycology as well. This is where its really beneficial to people watch. Especially your specific target that your wanting to curse. The more weaknesses you can find, the better the resources you can use to exploit them in your curse. After all the point is to hit them where it hurts

3. When doing curses/hexes/jinxes its important to remember that they sometimes need to be maintained depending on the level of severity, intention, timing and outcome.

4. You can design a curse , especially if your in close contact, to affect your target and only your target. Essentially if the curse you cast is on someone that lives with you, you can design a counter deterent. So that way when your target comes around you the affect of the curse is null and wont affect you in any way. These are called "Nulls and Activators" (ill go over this in another post).

5. You can curse objects if you want to be inconspicuous. This works in favor of closeted witches. Cursing an object of a target of everyday mundane things such as a phone or a ring of someone can be highly affective because its in close contact. Which allows the curse to take affect immediately.

6. If an object is cursed and you for whatever reason need to touch it. Enchant a black cloth to act as a sheilded warding cloth to wrap around the cursed object. You could alternatively do this with black gloves. Or you can enchant rings to wear on both hands to act as warded amulets.

7. If you use objects in your curse casting leave them outside in sunlight for 7 days. Or you can but them in a ziplock bag and bury it in salt for 7 days as well. Make sure to label them to be your specific cursing tools as if you use them for other spell work it can affect the outcome.

Things to add to your baneful workings that really give them a nice kick ✨

Rusty nails

Anything insanely spicy

Dead bugs

Bodily fluids (specifically ones that aren't so good-smelling)

Poisonous plants (handle with care)

Taglocks

Poppyseed (creates confusion)

Broken glass

Handle all of these things with care and make sure to wash your hands afterward as well as cleanse your space AFTER you've done a baneful working!

You do not HAVE to cleanse beforehand, in fact I don't recommend it because it gets rid of all the negative energy you would need for that baneful magick. However, if you do or did that's alright, everyone practices in different ways and I'm just writing here what has worked for me!

How to curse a person or an institution

This spell has been crafted (and used) specifically as an anti-sexist/anti-patriarchal curse but may be tailored to other situations.

You will need:

a safe space

candles or incense (optional)

a piece of paper

matches or a lighter

a small fire-proof dish or bowl

something pointy and sharp (a bobby/hair pin, a nail, a thorn, a claw discarded by an animal etc.)

Find or create a sacred space. This is essentially a magical safe space. Ideally somewhere you are (and feel) safe and where you won't be interrupted. You can make the boundaries tangible by marking them out (drawing a circle, marking each cardinal point with an object, finding a space in nature which is marked out by different trees or rocks etc.)

Open the ritual by welcoming the assistance/help of something greater than yourself (your community, ancestors, a deity, a pantheon, Nature, the Earth, etc. Whatever speaks to you). If you use candles or incense, light them at this point.

Write down the name of the person/institution you want to curse, fold the paper, and place it in the bowl or dish.

Put yourself into a state of focus/concentration (meditation, music, entheogens, by staring into fire or candles, etc.). Allow yourself to feel the feelings of anger, hatred, bitterness, injustice, sadness etc. elicited by the person or institution you want to curse. Embrace these emotions, this darkness, without judgement. The rawer, the better. If tears come, don't wipe them off.

Focus your feelings into the edge of your sharp object (pin, thorn, claw, nail, etc.) Because of the nature of the curse (anti-sexist, anti-patriarchal), perhaps something which symbolises historic oppression of women would make it more powerful: a bobby/hair pin or edge of a clothes hanger, for e.g.

Place some of your spit or a tear on the edge of the object (other possibility: blood, depending on your path/on your level of comfort)

Pierce the folded piece of paper while focussing all of your emotions on the person you want to curse. Either speak your mind in stream-of-consciousness or use a pre-written formula you've come up with (I can help with that if needed). Call upon a greater power (fellow witches, a particular community, a deity, a pantheon, Nature, the Earth, etc). If a deity: favour a 'dark' or revenge deity. If the forces of nature: the wind, storms, thunder, the fires of the earth, etc. Optional: ask other trusted witches to accompany you and lend you their energy or carry out the same ritual, either at a distance or in person.

Light the paper and watch it burn in the bowl or saucer. Let your own anger simmer and boil over while you watch the paper burn.

Scatter the ashes in the wind or blow them out the window.

Thank nature/deities/ancestors etc. for guiding/helping you, blow out the candles (if you used any) and close your sacred space.

The Bellflower Witch

"If you see a shadow slip by you and the sounds of a feline, beware, for Eastridge's resident witch is on the hunt. She'll show no mercy and will leave nothing behind."

Here's my Veldigun OC, Jinx, or The Bellflower Witch!

She goes by she/they pronouns. Her former partner was Barbara, with her current one being Mortimer. They aren't very fond of Clyde, indifferent to Winfrey (at least at first...), is friends with Simon and The Flock, wants to put Klaus in a meat grinder, and wants to get closer to Jack. Hates Lankmann (The Doctor)

History

When they were still in their ooze form, they pretty much exclusively consumed stray cats, mice, and deer if they were lucky enough. This resulted in her primarily feline form. She was quite timid during this period, mostly because she was alone, and her small stature didn't exactly help things for her fighting-wise. That is until they met a young girl by the name of Jennifer Perkins in the county of Eastridge, who, despite their odd appearance, grew fond of the Veldigun. Jinx also valued her companionship, and would monitor Jen's entire life. Unfortunately, Jennifer would be found by Jinx bleeding out in the middle of the forest after a mugging gone wrong. In a last ditch attempt to save her, Jinx consumed Jen, so that she would "live forever" in them. Jennifer Perkins, at 17 years-old, would be the first victim of The Bellflower Witch.

After consuming Jen, Jinx's form would become slightly bigger, and more alike to a "true" Veldigun, although she was still very lonely. Until she met Barbara, another Veldigun finding refuge in the woods. She would immediately become Jinx's mother figure, and would remain partners and best friends. Since she now had the stability to form her own personality, some of her snark comes through, and she starts to act more like an angsty teen lol. Things were relatively well now. Both Jinx and Barbara were hesitant to feed on humans, with Barbara only consuming those that think they don't have anything else to live for and Jinx only feeding on them when desperate. Both of their worlds would turn upside down when the Lankmann Foundation reared its ugly head. The foundation's best hunter, Clarisse von Arnham, was tasked to capture Veldigun, in which she was happy to oblige. The forest around Eastridge was becoming more and more dangerous for the Veldigun pair to reside in, as Clarisse had made it her mission to purge the species through traps and frequent hunting expeditions. Barbara and Jinx would be able to evade her, but their luck ran out when Clarisse caught them off guard and managed to subdue Barbara. In a moment of pure adrenaline, Jinx consumed Clarisse, along with eating and brutalizing her remains. This would lead up to Jinx's current form.

For a few years after, Barbara and Jinx managed to stay low, with the traps Lankmann setting up becoming more dangerous to make up for the loss of the foundation's most prestigious hunter. In one of these traps, Jinx's right (her right) horn would be broken off, but it would regrow. Eventually, the Lankmann Foundation was able to capture the pair by cutting off their food source until they were on the brink of starvation and taking them in then. Lankmann himself made the executive decision of sending in Barbara to communicate with a captured Winfrey. When things were going nowhere, some of the Caretakers went into the cell to retrieve Barbara, which prompted Winfrey to freak out and become uncontrollable. Unfortunately, Barbara would be caught in the crossfire. Although technically she was consumed by Winfrey, to the physical world, Barbara was dead, and Jinx had to witness it all. For months afterward, Jinx would be kept in that infernal asylum, feeling the loneliness of their early days, and the same mourning of Barbara as they had for Jennifer. Caretakers would sometimes come into their cell and take notes on their behavior, but they'd never give them the satisfaction of doing anything interesting for them. Even rarer still, regular employees of the asylum would come to take a look at the creature, none of them staying for long. Except for one...

why did the artist keep bothering her? it doesn't matter, she missed the company

The Doctor himself even paid her a visit once, but he didn't stay for long, and thank god he left so soon. Jinx lived in this cycle until hell came crashing down. Clyde infiltrated the asylum.

Trivia

Her voice claims for her felidae form was just a cat ig, her juvenile form was Veronica Sawyer (Winona Ryder) from Heathers (1989), and her current voice is Ramona Flowers (Mary Elizabeth Winstead) from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World/Takes Off

she is very mitski-penelope scott-jack stauber coded

they hate Clyde so much because they encountered it when they were still just a cat and it literally threw her 💀

she also kinda blames it for her capture because it "should've just left the stupid county alone"

when they're in the area, Jinx just sometimes... chills at Simon's barn; they both relate to not feeding on humans (ofc Jinx still does, but only when desperate)

Jinx's biggest fear is becoming like Clarisse, as some of her """"""interesting""""""" personality traits slipped into Jinx's demeanors, and she's worried that she'll just become a danger that will be abandoned

after consuming Clarisse, Jinx would start physically eating their victims after claiming their minds, just so they wouldn't leave anything behind

sometimes she purposefully goes into the town to freak out some humans for gits and shiggles

her arms can stretch longer than their normal length

Jinx is cunning, but not as smart as Clyde, but what she can beat him out with is actually just brute strength (she never skips arm day)

teeeechnically her name is Jennifer since that was her first human consumption, but, no offense to Jen, Jinx thinks the name is kinda lame and kept Jinx
