I wear an obsidian bracelet on my right wrist to give cleansing and protection to my environment I’m in and I wear a hematite and pentacle ring on my left to receive the same back. It’s like a constant flow of protective and cleansing energy. I’m not sure if others do this but I do and it works. ☺️

~ 🌷 Witchy things you can do to honour yourself, your craft and your deities! 🌷 ~
~ 🌷 This will be a long post! 🌷 ~
- Spend time in nature (go hiking, meditate outdoors, collect some river water, make some sun water, plant something etc)
- Interact with your pets (example, dogs are often associated with Hekate so you could play with them or take them on a walk etc.)
- Donate to a shelter or charity in the name of your deity.
- Create a protection charm to add to your dog or cat’s collar. Our companions need protection sometimes too!
- Do your self-care as an act of devotion to yourself and your deity (you could do your skincare as devotion for Aphrodite for example.)
- Have a cleansing bath or shower. You can create a pouch full of cleansing and protective herbs to use.
- Make a piece of artwork for your deities. It could be a painting, clay vase, etc.
- Make a playlist of songs that give you positive energy or remind you of your deity.
- Make a journal or scrapbook about the things you love about your craft to remind you why you are practising.
- Do a daily card pull in the morning. This can be to see how your day will go or what you should be focusing on etc.
- Stir intentions into your drink in a morning (anti-clockwise to remove negativity, clockwise to bring in positivity. You can also say what you wish to manifest for that particular day. You may need an extra boost of inspiration for example.)
- Do some spell work with your deity. Ask them to give you aid with it or to protect you whilst you are doing it.
- Consider enchanting an item. It could be jewellery, a plant, a decorative item in your home etc.(If you would all like, I can make a post of how I personally like to enchant objects.)
- Tidy up your home. This one may seem a bit odd but please read my explanation as to why it is important to take care of your home. Different rooms in your home can be associated with different parts of your life. If you want to manifest something in part of your life, You need to take care of your home in order for your manifestation to work. Your kitchen is connected to your health and health of your household. Your bathroom is connected to your finances and the flow of finances in your household. Your bedroom is connected to the happiness and prosperity of your romantic relationships. Your living room is connected to your relationships with your friends and family.
- Learn how to read candles. Candles are commonly used as an offering to deities and for manifestation workings but sometimes you can have other entities trying to communicate with you via the candle flame. I personally have had ancestors messing about with candles, Not just deities.
- Use colour magick associations when picking out your outfit for the day. For example black is most commonly used as a protection colour.

Folk magic isn't just about (re)connecting with your regional or ancestral magic practices. That's just scratching the surface.
Folk magic is also learning about the biodiversity, culture, and political state of your region.

hey ct. you know cult stuff. why is it that its so much easier to find cult shit than actual community? ive soft dodged like three cults trying to find a rural communal living situation. what is it about cults that is so appealing over Being Normal And Chill About Community Living
Man. That's a good question, and not one I'm qualified to answer with any real authority, but I've got some cents to give.
Capitalism is isolating. As public spaces and resources are stripped from the public, it becomes harder and harder to exist as a community. But still, people yearn for community. We are by and large social creatures.
Unfortunately, that means that sometimes, the organizations who can provide community, do so on predatory terms.

Even if you aren't hellenic polytheism, these are still pretty solid standards to hold oneself to
7 Virtues of Hellenism.
Xenia - This is the pillar that signifies hospitality, generosity and reciprocity. It's typically demonstrated in a guest/host dynamic.
Kharis - This is the pillar that signifies appreciation and gratitude. It entails giving to the gods and and expressing gratitude when you receive something from them.
Eusebia - This is the pillar that signifies reverence and veneration towards the gods. It can be translated to 'piety' or 'reverant conduct' meaning that you show respect for them.
Hagneia - This is the pillar that signifies purifying yourself. It entails having moral, perhaps physical too, purity and avoiding miasma where possible.
Arete - This is the pillar that signifies excellence and brilliance. It entails trying to reach your highest potential and this can be in any field.
Sophia - This is the pillar that signifies the pursuit of knowledge and wisdom.
Sophrosyne - This is the pillar that signifies self-control and prudence. It involves being of sound mind and remaining balanced, which can further lead to other positive qualities to have.
I hope these are right and that I didn't misunderstand their meanings! Hopefully this is useful to anyone, I certainly enjoyed making the post!

they're pinning my wings to a cork board tomorrow,
and i will stretch them out to be pierced.
i will offer no struggle or complaint,
i will lie there with obedience and docility
and let them make a show of how i chose to let them pin my wings.
look at her, they will point and say to my fellow winged creatures,
look at how she let us pin her wings!
she is so much happier like this.
flying is an abomination.
and i will hang there,
suspended,
until i slip off of the nails eventually
and the holes heal.
then i will realise,
when my mother is taking me back to them to pin me down again, that
i do want to fly.
i will no longer let them pin my wings to a cork board.
