So, if you asked to write your top 5 fav characters each from JJK & BNHA, what genre will you put them (or you agree that they should be in shounen)....

My asks are getting funnier. 🥰 As always, thanks for asking, lets dig in.

Look at these knuckleheads.

JJK Top 5

I've seen people make really funny observations about how every character in JJK belongs in a different universe but was shoehorned into a horror battle shonen and it delights me to no end. I'm not sure if Gege Akutami actually penned characters that are typical of other anime genres, in a sense, but do believe we all collectively just want our faves to have better odds of survival. At this point, Gege looks at fan polls like a dead pool. I think a story where characters are so obviously not meant to be there would be hilarious if done intentionally, camp even.

Satoru Gojo - The duality of a man who is "The Strongest" in universe while maintaining a girly pop facade to circumvent feeling othered by his strength? Two of my favorite things about Gojo are that he is 1) traumatized 🤪✨ and 2) down astronomically for the days he spent with Suguru Geto. Put this man in a shonen ai, stat.

Nobara Kugisaki and Maki Zenin - Yuri. I feel like I don't need to explain myself here except to say that I put them as one item on the list because I didn't want a list of 6 (I have so many faves). Both iconic, both bad ass. No notes. On the other hand, I would never want to rob Maki of her revenge story so... grain of salt if she stays in universe.

Kento Nanami - I was going to say "this man wants to be in an office sitcom so bad" but, truthfully, would not find the overdone gags and antics palatable. Nanami deserves to rest at an even, dulcet tempo. Traumatized in his youth, he really only returns to jujutsu because office work is unfulfilling but imagine if he were in an office shojo with a found family that he had to provide for? I'm not saying this anime is particularly good but plop him in something cozy like "The Ice Guy and His Cool Female Colleague" but with the home life of "Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid". He'll work for the money because it provides for someone else, you know? Let him suffer fools in peace.

Yuji Itadori - Sweet baby angel. Yuji follows the "best of both worlds" phenomenon that we see in other horror anime like Chainsaw Man, Tokyo Ghoul and Attack on Titan wherein he is both human and curse (avoiding further spoilers). But his disposition, his resilience, his pure physical prowess before he ever ate Sukuna's finger? Put this boy in a sports anime and let him thrive. While he'd absolutely body in a fighting sport, what if he was plopped into "Blue Lock"? Sports anime with a dash of horror aesthetic. He'd crush while being as upbeat and hilariously chaotic as Bachira.

Suguru Geto - Baby Girl is one of the most compelling villains we have. I'd say across multiple anime, honestly. He's what happens when a good person, someone who aims to be so morally upright, is faced with the reality that being good actually guarantees you nothing. With someone so unwavering, someone who can't live in shades of grey like Gojo, he can't bend. So he breaks. Honestly, it adds a layer of complexity to the overall story where... can we really, as the viewer, fault him? I feel like he wouldn't have this evolution anywhere else and that there's something to be said as to whether Geto was always doomed by the narrative.

There's never not been a good time to celebrate this frame, honestly.

BNHA Top 5

What's cool about BNHA is, it is authentically a shonen manga/anime while subverting a lot of it's tropes. BUT, we see this really interesting progression in the art that drifts into horror. Not aiming to spoil anything that's to come in season 7 (body horror, it's body horror. Bones better come through) but you see the beginning of it with the change in vigilante Deku's appearance. If Horikoshi felt inclined to do a horror anime post-BNHA, I'd definitely read.

Katsuki Bakugo - Hilariously, Bakugo wants to shonen so bad but is actually so damsel in distress/love interest coded that it almost undermines his role as Midoriya's rival. Almost. Shonen, shonen ai, I don't think he's out of place in either.

Shoto Todoroki - Todoroki's entire personality and character arc being so intrinsically linked to his family is honestly so amusing given the universe. Like, people have real life superhero powers but awful parents are very much still a thing. So it's interesting to expose the complexity of their family dynamics in tandem with the overarching story because, in every way, the Todoroki family are very much members of the Have's of BNHA society but they are still hopelessly miserable. TBH he could be in a slice of life just experiencing and resolving family trauma. "Kotaro Lives Alone" comes to mind.

Shouta Aizawa - I would cast Aizawa in "Life Lessons with Uramichi Oniisan" but he wouldn't have the decency to show up to work without a sleeping bag. I'm not saying it wouldn't look out of place in universe but do better for the kids. Joking. He's honestly both the perfect teacher but also a big ole hypocrite. He condemns Midoriya for his recklessness and self-sacrificing (re: breaking bones to use his quirk) but didn't think twice about hacking off his own leg, logical though it may have been. I know All Might is cast as the quintessential mentor in the shonen dynamic but Aizawa is the real MVP when it comes to mentoring and guiding the Class 1A competently. Shonen all the way.

Izuku Midoriya - I can't say Magical Girl Anime, I can't say Magical Girl anime. I appreciate Midoriya's similarity to eponymous crybaby hero Sailor Moon, tbh. She too was OP and with the fate of the world on her shoulders, just saying. He falls in line with the shonen trope of eating something and powering up (re: JJK, One Piece, Attack on Titan) but has emotional range that is not typically seen in shonen which, honestly I love. He is masculine while still being aggressively expressive (even if he struggles to articulate his feelings). His character and subsequent development is another way that Horikoshi subverts shonen tropes and I can't wait to see how his story wraps up.

Dabi - This crispy piece of bacon is a walking, talking and dancing personification of resolute rage. He is quite literally a vendetta held together by staples. Later chapters especially, he just gets unrelentingly grosser and more unhinged and it's both disgusting and emotional. To be honest, between him and Shigaraki, they are undeniably horror fodder by design. In fact, the reveal that he was a little misogynistic extremist radical was particularly wild of Horikoshi. Like, basically if he hadn't self destructed on that mountain he'd have been some incel plotting violence on the deep dark web? I'm trying to think of what to plop him into (maybe not his charred body but just his general... maliciousness, conviction and extremism). I feel like something horror, psychological with a sprinkle of thriller? What comes to mind is a dark series on my TBR but the name escapes me about a kid getting revenge one by one against sadistic bullies though its unclear where Dabi falls on that spectrum.

5.) A Matter of Time

Harry/Severus. Rated: E. Words: 3,686. Written for Snarry Adopt-a-Prompt 2022. Features reverse chronology and alternating POVs! Also: ambiguous/open ending (my love!) It feels like the Snarry of my youth, that angsty and spicy student/teacher, and some good old fashioned tragedy! I really feel like I pulled the thing off with this one! (What is said "thing"? Who knows.) Also, not to pat myself on the back but...that final line? Ouch.

4.) Cruel Summer

Harry/Sirius. Rated: E. Words: 5,445. Minor Harry/Severus. Written for HP Chan Fest 2022-2023. Features gorgeous art by @mrviran. It's a fic I've had floating around my noggin' for a few years but finally felt the call to write for Chan Fest! Our two beloved, troubled boys (Harry and Sirius) live together post PoA, and sees them through plenty of dysfunction, manipulation, and other problematic content 🤭 They have a very complicated (and angsty!) connection and I am so so pleased with how it came out! It's very bit as spicy, sad, and twisted as I'd hoped!

3.) The Curse of Anteros

Harry/Severus. Rated: E. Words: 52,566. Written for Snarry Bang 2023. Inspired by an episode of Charmed called "Magic Hour" (which itself was inspired by a movie called Ladyhawke). This is another idea I've long wanted to write, but never knew how to write it until now. Curses, fairytales, magical animals, true love!! Begins with student/teacher and carries on through time to old men Snarry!!!! This fic really grew way out of control and I'm so glad it did. It feels like...a "proper" story, if that makes sense? Actual plot! Novel length! Who am I even???? Anyway I'm stupidly proud of this one. Also: ART BY MRVILLAIN AGAIN, MY BELOVED TEAMMATE, I'M OBSESSED. Like...idk I'm blown away. Which sounds bad cuz this is my story, but I don't care. This is genuinely a story that not only was I so pumped to create, but one that I'd have LOVED to read as a reader! Had someone else written this I'd have lost my mind reading it. I hate saying that, it sounds so arrogant, but I don't care, I'm losing my mind over this one. I wrote it in like 2 weeks!!!! This fic POURED out of me! And I love it!

2.) Collateral Damage

Draco/Ron. Rated: E. Words: 16,071. Written for Ron-Draco Fest 2021. The first draft of this got to like 10k before I had to scrap it and start totally over. Somehow the original opening kept winding down the wrong path. So finally after fighting with it for way too long (and only 2 weeks to go until it was due), I gave it up and tried again. Decided: "hey, let's open with porn and see what happens." Well...That worked. That did it. All I needed was to open with a BJ for magic to happen, who knew? I ended up with a story I was super jazzed about, and to my great surprise (and pleasure!) others loved it, too!!

1.) Contempt | Devotion

Harry/Severus. Rated: E. Words: 20,400 | 25,843. Written for Snarry-a-Thon 2022 and 2023. This one's cheating a bit since it's technically 2 fics, but it's also the same story in different POVs so...it kinda counts, right? Also I know people have told me they liked Devotion more but I can't help but admit that Contempt itself still holds the top spot in my heart! And while I think say The Curse of Anteros is a better overall story, I don't think any fic ever will top Contempt. I mean, never say never, but Contempt is the story of dreams. It's my heart and soul. It's the Snarry I've always wanted to write. The story, the dynamic, the characterizations, everything. It's everything I've wanted in a Snarry since I first began reading Snarry 20 years ago. Like...I have no words to express just how meaningful this work is to me. This is literally the culmination of all of my Snarry feels. I dragged this story out of my gut. I pulled it out of my skin and wrote it in my blood. That's how connected I am to this work. (Wow that sounds really dramatic but also...true.)

Genuinely I was so cared people would hate it, but I wrote it anyway because I needed it and I loved it. I'm very glad to say that plenty of others love it with me! And this is another one @mrviran offered love to in the form of a podfic! (Plus cover art!) I'm fully obsessed with the podfic (AND ART!) and I get all teary eyed when I think about it, that my dear friend worked so hard to bring more life to my baby. 🥹

Kinda funny how my favorite works (and what i consider some of my best works) were all for fests. Fests really do inspire me, even if they make me want to pull my hair out. 😂

Also is it cheating to give honorary mentions to Lover Boy at Play, In My Veins (In My Blood), Orange Blossoms, Teardrop in Your Palm, and Black Skies? 👀

Codywan fic recs in honour of Kenobi airing

An Accidental Expression (of Love) by kj_feybarn (5531 words), Gen

Summary: “Anakin,” Obi-Wan called out, unable to stop the alarm from coloring his tone. “Don’t—”

Anakin, heedless of Obi-Wan’s half-given warning, reached out and grabbed the strange spherical ball that lay on the altar in the middle of the room.

“—touch that,” Obi-Wan finished with a sigh.

Beside him his Commander let out a huff of air that could have meant any number of things, but that Obi-Wan translated as his Commander’s ‘I can’t believe I’m the only person here with common sense’ huff.

I LOVED this fic!! It is a bit on crack, but gods is it well-written. There is implied Waxer/Boil, which I hate, but getting over it is really easy. Worth every words.

an ice cream-covered screaming hyperactive thought by adiduck (book_people) (9863 words) Gen

Summary: Cody is fairly certain he is not going to get his security deposit back.

There are three new stains on his carpet, and a patch by the door has been roughed up enough Cody’s pretty sure the weave’s come loose. The door itself has scratches in the paint all the way up to the door knob, and the curtains covering the windows on either side of the door are shredded, showing the metal grating over the transparisteel on the street side. The caf machine, the dish rack, and the soap dispenser are all in a collapsed and soapy heap on the floor. Cody’d managed through reflexes honed by war to save his favorite caf mug, but had sadly lost two of his plates and a bowl before he’d managed to wrap the perpetrator in three towels and shove the whole bundle up against a shoulder.

The towel bundle, very put out by this turn of events, is yelling.

Again, LOVED it. I absolutely adore accidental animal adoption and this fic is it. It's covered in fluff and chaos, but boy is that chaos beautiful. I'm begging you to read this fic, please.

Amazing! Beautiful! A kriffing piece of art! I reread this fic everytime I can and I never get bored of it. It's a big fluffy blanket when life is a cold and unforgiving winter.

Summary: When is the war going to end, she asks When we see each other, I say.

It takes just over five months, for Rex to find him.

Tatooine isn’t a place anyone ends up for good reason. No one asks where he came from, what he’s doing here, what his name is. He spends as much time alone as he can.

“Someone’s asking after you,” Annileen says, on his seventh visit to her compound, as he’s bundling his wares onto his speeder. “Mando, I think. Didn’t tell ‘em shit, but they knew a lot already.”

Obi-Wan thinks, foolishly, of Cody. This close to Huttspace, it’s still Mando armour before it’s trooper armour, the war a far off thing very few people care to know about but bounty hunters a constant.

It’s not Cody. He would have sensed Cody. Cody shot him out the sky.

It is short, but sweet and warm. I usually hate fics shorter than 2k, but I can't stop reading this one. It's perfect for when you want a quick escape but have things to do. 10/10

Yeah, that would work.

Cody tried not to think of how callous he seemed. He knew Skywalker was grieving Obi-Wan just as he was, but Cody just needed… he wasn’t sure what he needed. But he was certain that he didn’t need Skywalker. Skywalker had a wife to go back to, and a Padawan who was considering working with the Order again, and two ade about to enter the world. Cody had his vode, who all needed space to learn who they wanted to be. He used to have Obi-Wan too. Now Cody was alone, and he wanted it to stay that way while he figured out what the kriff he was going to do with the rest of his life. Obi-Wan was supposed to be there to help him, let Cody share his dreams. Cody was lost without him.

PAIN BUT GODS IS THIS PAIN BEAUTIFUL AND WORTH IT. Cody and Anakin bond over Obi Wan's death, I always wanted to see them interact more. Cody finally lets himself experience and process his grief and it's heartbreaking before mending it.

Codywan Deserves Better series by HalbarryTrashcan (15 003 words) Teen and Up

Summary:

Shake it out (part 1): Since Obi-Wan's force bond broke years ago when Qui-Gon died, he has had to depend on painkillers and the Force to keep the headaches at bay. But when he met a certain Clone Commander, everything changed.

I Don't Want to Set the World on Fire (Part 2): A rewrite of Season 3 Episode 9: The Hunt for Ziro.

In which, Cody actually does want to set the world on fire.

I don't have words to describe how I feel about this series. If I could print it out and put it in a historical library with the most beautiful classics, I would do it without hesitation. Halbarry is an amazing writer and I beg you to check out their other stuff if you like this one. Part 2's got a side-serving of Fox/Quinlan Vos and I love this ship too.

Okay I'll try my best with the summary hahaha just a few fun facts before I get to it: this was my #1 show for the past 4 years, until tlou rolled around, we are on our last stretch of episodes before saying goodbye (my heart is broken) and a word of warning: if you get into it, you will love it as much as you will hate it. This stupid beloved show of mine can be a real pain in the ass sometimes 😂

Okay, time for a summary. Or, in other words, let me paint you a picture of this found family without giving away any plot 😂

So at the beginning we have these four lovely people who all find each other just when they need it the most when their lives are at their lowest. They are DC superheroes (some on their way to becoming them) but the most important thing the show had always put focus on (more or less sometimes but we lived through it) is that team is family. The team grows over time and they learn how to be a team and fight evil together and all that but these four are the core of it.

So, on the left you have the kids: Gar Logan and Rachel Roth. If you're familiar with DC Comics in any capacity, you might know them as Beast Boy and Raven. Gar can shift into animals and Rachel is a daughter of a demon. Fun times with these two!

Then we have the parents: Dick Grayson and Kory Anders. Known as Robin, then Nightwing and Starfire.

Dick is a master detective with some sick martial art skills (trained by Batman himself) and Kory is an alien powerhouse Queen!

Leaders of the team. Heads of the family. Father and Mother who will do absolutely everything to protect their children.

They also have an epic love story going on, just so you know. Season 4 is really taking them places.

Now, when I started this show, I came here for some superhero fun. But I stayed because the pilot episode served me one of the best father-daughter duos I have ever seen. Think of Joel and Ellie's "if you're lost in the darkness, search for the light" but here it's almost LITERAL sometimes. Dick has metaphorical darkness in him and Rachel is the one who brings out the light for the first time. But Rachel has the literal darkness in her and Dick is the first person in her life who isn't afraid of it and helps her accept it as a part of her.

She has a dream about him before they even meet and when they do, she immediately knows. And he's scared shitless of this new attachment, he's dark, violent, has issues and he can't do family but here is this orphaned girl who knows things about him that she shouldn't and hell if his heart isn't beating a little faster.

This scene here, it has a grip on my throat since 2019 and isn't planning to let go. This is where it all begins.

As for the plot, each season is a different thing. Season 1 is protecting Rachel from her father, season 2 is trying to settle down as a team but ghosts of the past are making it difficult, season 3 is about sibling rivalry and how that can fuck up a family and a bit of generational trauma, and season 4 is all over the place with a giant prophecy, some big and small returns, magic and shit, but season 4 is when the family is finally the strongest!

I hope you enjoy it! You can find it on HBO MAX in the US and on Netflix everywhere else (though international Netflix is one season behind). If you get to watching it, I'd love to here your thoughts!

Sorry for the long reply, here it is. I'm pretty sure I have left out a lot of other manga, I can't remember the others I used to read… I'll update this list once I figure it out.. In the meantime, enjoy this collection:

Aku No Hana/Flower Of Evil/The Flowers Of Evil - Psychological/Drama, about a young man who constantly reads this foreign poetry book called, Les Fleurs du mal by Charle's Baudelaire. From the get go, you're introduced to him having an ego and looks down on others for not being in the same realm of intellect for not understanding the book he is into. The main character wants to stand out, but even he does not understand it himself.

He attaches himself to his classmate, Nanako, the top of her class. Because of her displayed intellect and proficiency in english, Takao assumes she is also different and would understand where he is coming from, placing her in a pedestal, the same way as she places him in the same light also. When his crush left her gym wear in the classroom, he decides to snoop in and wear it. Letting his perverted degeneracy take hold of his thoughts before getting found out by his classmate, Sawa, and all hell breaks lose. He is blackmailed and forced to do her bidding from here on out.

It may not seem like it as first glance but this is a love story that's not meant to be, two people who understand one another but they harm others around them in the process. The three characters that you'll be following are complex that it's hard to label them as this one thing, especially Sawa. You will have no clue what she's thinking, what she wants to do and what she's trying to say, and before you know it, you're just like the main character, wondering about her constantly.

It has an anime, but it's not well received due to it's unusual style which is rotoscoping rather than the usual anime style, but if you can't stomach the long pauses and the drag it brings I would suggest watching the live action instead.

Bradherley No Basha/Bradherley's Carriage/Bradherley's Coach - Historical/Tragedy, taking place around the 1800's, an aristocrat goes around in various orphanages to adopt young girls and train them to join his opera troupe. But upon coming with him, they make the discovery that the man's real intention is not to give them a good life..

It is a oneshot with a plot that must be pieced together to make a coherent storyline, each girl in question has their own story to tell and it is a depressing read, filled with mature subject matter so be warned if you're not good with such things. To me personally, this stuck with me and has taken my interest ever since.

Chi No Wadachi/Trail Of Blood - Or Blood on the tracks.. Psychological/Horror, it's about a mother and her son. One day, during a family gathering to the mountains, an incident happened in regards to the cousin and only Seichi and his mother, Seiko, knew of what actually happened. Throughout this entire manga, the young boy faces psychological torment through his mother and the certain day replays on his mind constantly..

What's great about this is that it let's you figure out what the characters are thinking, especially Seiko, who is the most mysterious character of this manga. There are also times where you're taken out of Seichi's perspective and left to observe his expressions and wonder what's going through his head. You're always left feeling dread because there's no way of knowing what's going to happen.

Collapse of the World as We Know It - Psychological/Horror, a collection of short stories. I'm not going to list it all here so if you wanna know what these stories are, go read it. It has marked it's place in my memory.

Daija Ni Totsudai Musume/The Great Daija's Bride/The Great Serpents Bride - Drama/Supernatural/Romance, written similarly to a folk story, this is about a human girl named Miyo who was given as a sacrifice to the lord of the mountain, Daija. And them learning to live together, they eventually fall in love and start a family. Yes, he is a large talking snake and no he will never become a humanoid. Yes, there are a lot of sex scenes between them lol but that's not the point.

This manga has a lot of plot twists and interesting characters, and deals with heavy subject matter like rape and abuse to gray morals in regards to Daija's relationship with the people who are worshipping him. It is befitting the atmosphere of that era and it feels like someone is writing their own folk story. This is a recent manga I am reading and it clearly stands out to other romance manga out there.

Inuyashiki - Science fiction/Thriller, an old man, down on his luck upon learning he has cancer and coming home to a cold family who could care less, decides to walk his dog to a park one night till he encounters a strange light in the sky and hits him. He was then transformed into this cyborg with powers capable of doing anything, while a young man who happens to be walking the same park was also hit and turned into one. The two of them will choose different paths and use their now owned powers for their own reasons.

Kimi Ni Aisarete Itakatta/I Want To Be Hurt By Love - Psychological/Drama, written by a disturbed loli doujin artist turned mangaka, good for her. It is about this girl named Kanae Kanai who is trying to be part of this group that's composed of the popular girls in the class just so she can say that she's needed and part of something. But she finds it hard to relate and go along with them, constantly needing to be reassured in her position within the group till she meets and catches the attention of the popular guy that they invited from another school named Hiroshi.

The story is dark as you would imagine, there is bullying, revenge, abuse of various degree, sexual content, etc. And I know, a lot of people who read this will say that it is over the top but I digress because the things happening and the actions she is doing is reasonable and will reach to that extent if you were ever in her shoes.. People complained that she's unlikeable and horrible when that's the point. You're not supposed to relate, you're suppose to try and understand why she is thinking in this manner.

When she told Hiroshi to quit his dreams to play, you'd say you're stupid and crazy for suggesting that when in her case, that is a perfectly reasonable thing to do because that's all she does in her life. Kanae runs from her problems and when something as a little inconvenience doesn't go her way, she instantly goes to find something to dissociate herself from that problem.

If you've seen the doujins this author makes… Man, she knows how to make a scary scene. She's really using her experiences that she went through. And when I saw those two familiar characters from her doujin make an appearance my heart sank so hard I thought I was gonna have an heart attack. Also, the english title should've been "I want you to love me like it hurts".

Koko wa Ima kara Rinri Desu/From Now On, we Begin Ethics - Drama, an episodic manga featuring a teacher teaching students about ethics. It tackles different subjects and finishes them around a chapter or two, the students are not the normal characters that you should invest for a very long time as he teaches new characters and the years pass by as well, you'd also see them having character development even after their sole chapter ends. But let it be known that it centers towards only the teacher and the mystery surrounding him and why he even wants to teach it in the first place.

The students may or may no change and do not suddenly have a change of heart nor change their opinions about their beliefs, even some of the students I hate are unlikeable and my stance on them will remain that way but the point of the manga is that these are people and people do not change willy nilly. If you like such a concept then experience it for yourself. The english title should've been "Here, we will study ethics."

Made in Abyss - Dark Fantasy/Adventure, takes place in a fantasy world called Orth, a mining town surrounding a large hole that's deep within the earth itself. No one knows how deep it is exactly besides the map that has last been documented is around the 7th layer. Depending on how deep you are, the larger the effect of the abyss' curse has on you.

The two main characters, Reg and Riko decide to embark to find Riko's mother, Lyza from a presumed letter from her, saying that she is will be waiting for her at the very depths of the abyss.

This has the best worldbuilding I have ever laid my eyes upon, there are no main villains except the abyss itself and that's rather rare. Characters using their intellect and knowledge to avoid the curse and the animals inhabiting it, from uncovering the secrets it has. It sends you alongside the main characters in learning what the abyss has in store. If you want good storytelling then look no further, because I can't get enough of it.

Mr. Arashi's Amazing Freak Show/Shoujo Tsubaki - No surprise it's back again, check my previous post in regards to my favorite movies. I've said my case on why I am a fan of this movie and eroguro movement in general.

Nekojiru - Dark comedy, two anthropomorphic cats and their daily life. It's filled with casual child abuse, animal abuse, racism, vulgarity, and violence. All of this was inspired from the creators everyday life because she lives in a poor neighborhood and she wasalso abused so it's to no one's surprise her manga is also filled with it. Write what you know, as the saying goes.

I like collecting and reading these kind of things so this just fits in my forte, it also has a niche fandom. It has a psychological movie also, no dialogue, just straight up acid trip. Go check it out.

Oyasumi Punpun/Goodnight Punpun - Psychological/Drama, of a young boy named Punpun, drawn in this cartoonish anthropomorphic blob of a bird and his everyday life. He through the same as any boy would experience, school life and experiencing a crush for the first time. Till he comes home one day and finds the house a mess and his mother on the floor and his father stuttering to find an excuse.

The manga follows him till his adult life as his mental state deteriorates, trying to find reason to keep on living inspite of the harsh life he has experienced. He then eventually meets up once more with his childhood crush and together they embark to find even meaning in their relationship.

This holds a special place in my heart as this is the manga I've read that actually understands how I feel, watching his dreams shatter and coming home to a broken family, disassociating yourself to the world around you as this goal that you've always centered yourself around no longer bares meaning upon reaching adulthood. You won't find that feeling ever again..

Sentai Daishikkaku/Ranger Reject/Go Go Loser Ranger! - Action/Drama/Sci-Fi/Superhero, taking place 13 years after the defeat of executives, the boss monsters, the dragon keepers decided to leave the few remaining mob monsters called dusters alive and strike a deal with them to do a play every sunday where they are defeated by the keepers so that they can remain in power still and have their place in the world still relevant.

The world of keepers are filled with political and social power that makes them almost untouchable, and while they are seen as villains in the eyes of our MC, fighter D, the line between hero and villain is blurred completely. There are many plot twists and you will find it hard on who to root for.

Sundome - Psychological/Romance, about a young man who finds himself unfulfilled due to not finding someone who can fill his heart with what he actually needs till an exchange student comes around and changes his life. This is a love story between a masochist and a dominatrix, and them learning to trust one another on whether their feelings are genuine or not.

This is an ecchi manga so heads up, they deal with sexual situations that are downright degenerate but it's all in the manner of consent and trust between the two. The two are challenged constantly throughout the chapters, if this is just lust on his part of does he genuinely love her inspite of it.

This to me, I consider the best romance I've read so far but I did not like the ending, I have a lot to say about it too, but most of the time I pretend it didn't exist. But the rest of it is amazing and I don't think I will ever experience something like it again. I will thank the youtuber for introducing me to it but fuck him for mislabeling this manga as psychological horror.

Tonari no Seki no Hen na Senpai - Romance/Comedy, it is adult smut so if you're expecting a deep analysis of the story, I'm afraid this ain't it. This about two co-workers, mayumi knows what she wants, a handsome guy and she just so happens to be in the sales department filled with it, what luck! The guy in question is unfortunately a clingly stalker who's a pervert and he wants to get together with this woman who was nice to him.

Sexual hijinks ensues, and yes, there is dubcon. If you want something to have a laugh or shut your brain with then go read this lol

Suehiro Maru's Mangas - There's too many for me to list it all so just browse his name and you'll find all of his manga collection. He's very popular for his showa esque art style and the macabre surrealism of it all. Yes, he is the one responsible for making Mr. Arashi's Amazing Freak Show.

Shintaro Kago's Mangas - Another surreal eroguro artist, known for his bizarre one shots and grotesque imagery. Unlike Suehiro Maru, Shintaro displays fecal matter just because no one else likes to draw about it and leans more into dark comedy.

hi romi!!!! thank you so much for the prompt :-) milo is my favorite of the wolf bois and im more than happy to do some milo art!! i fiddled with a lot of different ideas and eventually ended up at the most gut-wrenching of milo's videos (that is, of course, Helping Your Werewolf Boyfriend Shift Again).

So. SO. I tried so many poses, did so many sketches, and then I ended up... here.

First of all... Wolves don't actually like, cry? Not tears anyway, the way people do, but if you look you can see I did do that brimming-with-tears thing here for Milo. Suspend your disbelief, I'm using my artistic license.

Also, these proportions are... maybe not the best? Wolves are Big™ and I know that! Even so, I don't draw animals very often, and there are not many good people-hugging-wolves references out there (for good reason! don't try to hug a real wolf! do not attempt!). Either way, here we are, and I'm pretty happy with how everything turned out!

My Sweetheart here doesn't have any notably gendered features (unless you count hair length, which I don't...), but I will disclose that my Sweetheart OC uses they/xem pronouns, if anyone cares about that.

Now let's get to the real juicy stuff: cores...

So originally this didn't have any cool effects. And then I decided I wanted it to. So then I made it. I really don't think auras/cores have colors like this (as far as we know they're mostly sound-based as far as sensation goes), but obviously, this is an artistic rendition, so I've translated that into colors and patterns.

I did draw these two up while planning the next part out, so here's those:

Sweetheart's core has a cloudy, nebulous look to it, and very smooth threads. Some are thicker than others! It's a gray-black-silver sort of shade. It is mostly centered around Sweetheart's chest, as per Huxley's stick-figure explanation.

Milo's core is.... sharp pieces and curves mixed together (idk, the brush is called "rad" and it's from procreate's og brush set called "vintage", and the shapes have a mix of curves and sharp edges, so...). The threads are stretched/worn thin in some places. The glow is strongest around his chest but spreads a lot more since shifter magic is... y'know, all spread out and tied to their physicality.

It's not actually super connected either, but I also made the orange parts of the backglow stronger, and the gray parts lighter, since Stealth's auras are said to be fainter than others.

Tbh I didn't have anything else to really say here. I mostly just wanted to show off the core drawings. If you got this far, thanks for reading :-)

Shougo Makishima, 『Psycho Pass』 : as an antagonist, he's to me the best. one. ever. i mean, his motivations to do what he did were just so valid?? he did use the wrong methods, but he was so right, he even realized what was wrong in this society before the main characters did, and he's the one that enabled them to open their eyes and really think about how dystopic their system is. many would compare him to light yagami but i do not agree. he sticked to his convictions from the beginning to the end, know : "i want people to be able to think by themselves and make their own choices, may them be bad or good". what a king

Double Trouble, 『She-Ra』 : my absolute crush of the series. they're so chaotic, so sassy, so dramatic, that's everything i want, that's everything i need. AND ofc they're the first enby rep i saw in a piece of media x) if they were to order me to join the dark side i totally would lmao i'm a chaotic evil for them

Irene Adler/James Bond, 『Yuukoku no Moriarty』 : she's THE love at first sight of these last years. i didn't have any crush in ynm, and i thought it was strange because they're all so good(-looking lol). and then i understood my heart was only ready for her, call me a silly romantic person but arghkgkfl she's incredible. her convictions are beautiful and she uses her status to break the law in order to piss the nobility off and destroy a society she thinks is rotten to the core. thinks outside the box, doesn't give a darn about people's judgment, assumes her choices, doesn't let people walk all over her. she's perfect

Jung Myeong-Seok, 『Extraordinary Attorney Woo』 : okay i haven't even finished the series yet, i have two episodes left tbh, but i couldn't not mention him. he's kinda different from the type of characters i like, but i recently realized i liked characters like him : strict, serious and professional, but who actually are big softies with a golden heart and who care for others. he completely got me the sec he smiled, i'm so weak omg. Haruka Hashida, 『Blue Period』 : my tastes in side characters being so high in this list i just realized. anyway. this man is so weird and yet so down-to-earth and logical it's almost weirder. his thoughts about art, painting and likes and dislikes are just so true, he manages to bring the readers to really think and reconsider their perspective. he's also the one that helps the most the mc re-think about his own art and kinda frees him from his prejudices and the limits he imposes to himself. supportive character/20

Pina, 『Beastars』 : mamma mia is anyone surprised by this ? he's the kind of sassy bad bitch i love and manages to hide his big heart and actual care for his friends behind a sarcastic and self-absorbed attitude. he's so goddamn funny, pretty (in an animal beauty scale) and just brings the peps and light atmosphere the series needs since it gets darker and darker

Esmeralda, 『The Hunchback of Notre-Dame』 : i'll only be talking about the disney movie here because i haven't read the novel yet (gonna do it soon, victor hugo is a god). she's my favorite disney character tbh, for a lot of reasons. she's to me the most altruistic, just, kind-hearted and lovable character of all. she has every right to hate religion since the whole world hates her for "religion said so". she has every right to ask for something for herself since she's always had to fight in order to just survive. instead, she asks to a god (that she's been told hates her) love and justice for those who live without, reminding that everybody is a child of god and has the right to be loved, and doesn't ask for anything for herself. she plays with laws, she helps others and she fights for justice with joy, passion and insolence

Ryuunosuke Akutagawa, 『Bungou Stray Dogs』 : i really hesitated between him and chuuya, but i think i have more things to say about aku. i didn't like him at first, but i progressively understood him and had affection for him, he's my son now. his psychology is very interesting, especially when linked to his past and the original author's life. he's a really sad character, but also kinda funny, touching and such a stubborn brat omg. his evolution his the best and i look forward to see what he'll become (and i prey so he can actually have a chance to become something fjfkxks guys i'm so scared rn)

Summary: You and Tom are in love with each other, always were, though you only realize it after ending a pretty toxic relationship.

A/N: I thought of this while listening to Strawberries & Cigarettes thought I'd share

"Look, I'm not saying that I want their attention 24/7, it's just that, well, they don't ever try to make time for me. Even when I need them, they're never here. But I'm expected to be there for them at all times. I'm just so tired of it. I don't know what to do anymore." You sighed, lowering your head as your eyes wander around the ground.

You've lost sense of time, place even. Only once you stopped to take a breath did you note how late it became. As you raised your head you saw how dark it really was there. The clouds over the stars making their light nearly non existent, and the moon half hidden behind some trees.

And as your eyes travel all over the quiet, dark yet beautiful sky, Tom's attention is strictly fixed on you.

If only you knew how much that man felt at the moment. Really, he was almost overwhelmed with the amount of different emotions.

For one, how badly he wanted to punch your partner for how deeply they hurt you. He knew, from your previous vents, that there was so much more than them just having no time that bothered you. He wanted to make them cry out apologies with regret guilt for how they made you feel.

But also, he couldn't help but feel the need to hold you, keep you close to him, tell you how everything's going to be alright. How all he wants to do is protect you from all of the world's evil, to keep you from anything that could cause you harm.

Without you even noticing, Tom gently put his hand over yours, rubbing circles with his thumb on your hand. How can someone be so,, so endearing,, so loveable and be treated this way? How could someone ever look at him and want to use him? he thought, not brave enough to bring himself to tell you what he truly thinks of you.

"You know you deserve better, right, my love?" he asked, and you, all too familiar with the pet name reply with a little smile. "Would you be surprised if I said yes?" you chuckled, turning to face him, the sight of the boy in front of you making your smile grow a little bigger, causing the other to look at you with loving eyes.

"I still love them, though, I don't even know why, but I do. I still hope they're going to change, even when I know they won't" you continued, a short, awkward laugh leaving your lips.

"Believe me, sweetheart, I know exactly how that feels." he smiled at you, gently stroking your face with his free hand as the two of you continued to talk about everything, and anything, enjoying the company you gave each other.

[Following day, 4:27 PM]

Who knew that drawing in the library's restricted section would be so relaxing? Sketching animals, book covers, objects and even some random fellow housemates. It wasn't so bad, right?

But let's be honest, you were only using it as a means of distraction, trying to get yourself to forget about the fact that you're going to break up with your s/o. You don't even know how Tom managed to convince you.

Of course, it's for the best, you know that. Doesn't change the fact that you feel so damn guilty about it. I mean, why do you even? It's not like they value you, it's not like they won't have other people lined up to take their bullshit right the moment you decide to leave.

Okay, that's it. You're doing it, you're definitely doing it. You mumbled to yourself. After, of course, another art session in your little distraction place.

[5:54 PM]

What's the worst that can happen if I confess? I mean, it's not like the world would end, not like the world would explode and I'd be buried underneath layers of rock and lava.

You had him feeling something he's never even imagined he'd feel; he was nervous. His forehead full of sweat, causing his hair to stick on to him. What are you putting him through?

Friendship...That's all I am to him. I'm just a friend to [Y/N]. He only sees me as a friend. Nothing more than that. Maybe I shouldn't. I probably shouldn't.

[6:11 PM]

To his surprise, Tom heard a knock on his door. He most definitely wasn't in the mood to see, yet even talk to anyone.

"Tommy? My love, are you in there?" You questioned quite loudly, making sure to be heard from across the wall.

That petname, you have no idea what it made him want to do. Did he want to have you underneath him, touch every little bit of your body? Did he want to show you that you're his? Hear you whine and beg for him to kiss you; and so, so much more than you could imagine.

It's not the time to get lost in such sinister thoughts, Tom, he mumbled to himself, finally walking over the room to let you in.

"Hello, darli―" before he could finish, you rushed into his arms. Wrapping your hands around your friend's waist as your head rested under his own. "I missed you all day, dummie" you spoke quietly, finally happy to spend time with him.

He was quite surprised to say the least, you weren't the type to enjoy going for any type of physical affection of any type, unless it was under certain circumstances. Especially the hug being so long.

He wasn't complaining, he adored it, but he couldn't help but worry. Was something wrong? Were you hurt?

"Love, as much as I enjoy moments like this, is there anything you need to tell me? Should I kick anyone's arse?" he raised his brow, looking down at you.

You shook your head, never letting go of the taller man, a smile appearing on your face. How cute he is when he's worried, you thought.

That's pretty much how the rest of the day night went. The two of you in each other's embrace, spending it in utter silence, just glad to be in your own little world together.

You told him, before going back to your dorm, about how you finally broke up with that douchebag, and was your man proud.

The couple next days, weeks even, went by quickly. You and Tom would hang by the library after classes to complete and give help with what the other might have been stuck on.

Tom walks towards you, so dangerously close, you can practically feel his lips on yours. A hand's glued on the wall next to you, right above your head. Your body pressed against a door, his knee right in between your legs, brushing against your crotch. His other hand pulling you closer by your waist, soon planting kisses all over your jaw and neck. You can't help but melt into his touch, his lips- you just want more, more of him.

You gasp, practically jumping up your bed. It was only a dream, wasn't it you thought, sighed in slight disappointment. You wouldn't like to admit it to yourself, but you've been thinking about Tom in a certain way lately.

That only made things worse for you. Because according to you, he would never see you that way. Because the way you saw it, Tom only ever thought of you as a friend.

And so thought he. He was just as disappointed every time he'd dream of the two of you being intimate, romantically, sexually, it didn't matter. He was just as devastated when he woke up. Always went back to sleep hoping those wonderful dreams would go on.

Both of you had a few dreams like those. Some were a whole lot sweeter. Dates together, just the two of you softly making out with the sound of classical music in the background. All of this causing the two of you a bittersweet feeling, thinking that all of this was just hopeless dreams, impossible to come true.

Starry night, you and him, the lake, the full moon shining bright. There's nothing that could ruin this delightful night. It feels like a dream, so much that you even question the reality of what's going on.

"Is this...real?" you ask Tom, not taking your eyes off the sky you so dearly loved. He raised a brow at you, looking at you in a clearly confused expression.

"If it wasn't, we'd be doing more than just stargazing, love" he chuckled, really hoping you'd take it as a joke.

"What would we be doing then, darling?" you question once again, mocking the way he calls you petnames while at it, a visibly evil smile painted on your face.

Tom takes his bottom lip in between his teeth, turning to face his pretty boy. "Do you really want to know, [Y/N]?"

The usage of your name kind of, just a little bit, frightened you. Not in a necessarily bad way, more like in a 'I have no idea what to expect next' way.

"What would you do if I kissed you?" he smirked at you, feeling oddly confident, though your silence and shocked face slowly faded. He was about to mutter apologies 'till you let out a mumble. "I'd like that" you said, your voice barely above a whisper.

"What was that, my prince? Would you kindly repeat that for me?" he told you with a straight face, making you wonder if he truly didn't hear you. If only you knew the amount of pride he felt at that moment, barely four words and his mind wandering to so, so many things he knew the both of you would like.

The shade of your cheeks changed a bit, was it from embarrassment? Or from the idea that he may actually like you back. Either way, you did repeat what you had told him, blushing even harder as there was an ever-growing smile on your face.

Soon enough, Tom sat up, leaned against a tree nearby. Motioning on his lap, he asked you to sit there, and happily you did.

You've never seen him smile like that. He looked at you like you're the only person in the world. His hands firmly on your cheeks, slowly pulling you in.

Your arms instinctively went around his neck, tilting your head to the side in order to deepen the kiss.

Once you pulled away to take a breath, his hands rested on your lower waist, his eyes staring at you lovingly as they always did.

"You know I'm no good with words." you looked at him exactly the way he was looking at you; you were truly each other's everything. "I know, my prince" his hand wandered around his loverboy's hair, soon pulling him in yet another kiss.

He knew he loved you, and now he was sure you loved him too. Only thing is, he wasn't sure how to ask you to take over the world with him, but for now, he was happy with what you had, and so were you.

List of Multi-talented AssClass Characters

This includes both characters who have actually showcased their many skills and characters who had shown potential to be multi talented.

¤ The teachers, assassins, and Gakuhou won't be included in the list as they are already a given.

Asano Gakushuu

I mean, do I even have to say anything? He's got the grades, the athleticism, the artistry, the reputation, and even being able to responsibly handle all of these at the same time. Rather than asking what else he can do, the better question is: What CAN'T he do??

This guy is the epitome of multi talented because it's not just him having a lot of skills, but you can really expect him to be good at each and every single one of them. Truly an ace.

Akabane Karma

This one is just half-assed lol. But let's be real, I can't even expressed how much of a genius this guy is, it's actually terrifying. Like imagine being able to remember the stuffs you've secretly studied for after two weeks of study ban, to the point that you managed to place 2nd in rankings among the entire 3rd years?? He's ridiculous.

I think it's just him being disinterested that's stopping him, because it should be obvious that he'd be the type to easily become scarily good at the skills he just picked up.

Isogai Yuuma

Being practical is his strongest suit. It probably stemmed from the fact that he's currently the one providing for his family, but I could totally see Isogai picking up plenty of skills just for the sake of making things easier. For all we know, he could've tried applying for different kinds of jobs that required certain skills before he settled on being a waiter.

Then top it all off with his good grades, being athletic, and leading the class well, yeah he's got it good.

Sugino Tomohito

One day we are going to have a whole discussion about Sugino having many hidden talents (that he's also VERY good at doing). Let's start off with baseball. It has been confirmed by Matsui himself that ever since Sugino had joined a local baseball team in town, along with perfecting his own curved ball pitching technique, it's been assessed that in the technical side of baseball, Sugino should have already surpassed Shindou in most areas.

As stated by Karasuma in the character book, Sugino literally has ZERO flaws in his assassination skills and if you look at his stats, there was not a single category that he was lacking in omg. Sugino had also shown exceptional skills in the art department, specifically in acting and drawing, as repeatedly praised by Korosensei.

Chiba Ryuunosuke

Being multi-talented isn't just about having as many skills as possible, it's also about being incredibly good at the skills you have even if they aren't that many. Chiba is a great example of this.

Sniping, maths, architecture, and spatial awareness ー those are some of the skills he was explicitly shown to have in canon and there is no denying that he is good at every single of one these. Not just good actually, but exceptional, to the point of being directly praised by actual professionals themselves.

Kayano Kaede

Being a gifted young actress, it would be no surprise that Kayano would have to have a very wide range of skills in order to be able to tackle any acting role given to her, which is what she was specifically known for.

And who passes the entrance exams of an academically renowned school on their first try at the last minute? She has it all lol.

Kataoka Megu

I think Megu is the type to find herself picking up skills and become good at them since she is a leader with a natural sense of responsibility. Especially when it's sports, because you're telling me that this ace swimmer with a record for freestyle swimming is also good at basketball, enough to both coach, lead, and carry her team all at the same time?? Damn.

Of course not forgetting the fact that she's also one with exceptional grades and is good at languages, Megu is defintely a well-rounded leader. Wish we could have seen more from her.

Hayami Rinka

As remarked by Koro-sensei, Hayami is a "jack of all trades but lacks in her own individuality and passion". Because she is said to be skilled enough in so many things, she became a reliable worker who people can depend on no matter what it is for as she can surely tackle them.

Perhaps a little bit too reliable? While there are some skills that she is obviously good at, like her sniping and dancing, I don't think people would really notice how much of an ace she is at first glance, likely because she wasn't being loud about it (as in she was lowkey).

Maehara Hiroto

Defintely the dress to impress type.

I am adding Maehara to this list because this dude came back 3 years later and suddenly he's good at b-boying!

He's good at sports, dancing, singing, he gets along with people, he dresses well, and for a carefree playboy like him, the last thing you would expect from him is his best subject being Maths, right?

I won't be surprised if plenty of these were just because he wanted to impress the girls he goes on dates with. If anything, it's likely lol. Whatever helps him I guess.

Bonus: Potentially multi-talented

Yada Touka

Being under the tutelage of Irina, it would be no surprise that Yada would end up wanting to expand her skillset as she'd find it beneficial for her in the future.

Nakamura Rio

Maybe because she's bored or just wants to be funny, but Nakamura had shown skills with... random stuffs (like diassembling gadgets or the ability to make geeky boys flustered with her dirty jokes through the school radio... 😭). As long as it can be funny, I think she can pick up anything she can use to toy with others.

Kurahashi Hinano

Drawing! It's surprising because no one can argue that she is the best at it among the girls, but it wasn't explicitly showcased AT ALL (if it weren't for that skills ranking in the manga extras, we wouldn't have known this). I wonder what else she's really good at that haven't been addressed.

Takebayashi Koutarou

I am adding that joke from the career chapter of Koro q that Takebayashi is apparently good enough at dancing to land a career for it 😂

But yes, he also ranked 4th best artist among the boys for being the "2D master". Being an anime fan does have plenty of perks... I wonder how good his singing is 🤔

💀 You love Dark Shadow as much as you love Tokoyami himself. Though they're both very different in personality, you find them both charming and adorable (despite them both saying they're not "adorable," they're dark and spoopy lmao).

-Your familiar rarely comes out of your bedroom. Since you're dating Tokoyami, you allow him in your room (which means a lot more than he probably thinks it does, cuz spaces where witches do their magic and recharging are very sacred to them) so he gets to see your familiar quite often.

💀 It's rare for familiars to show affection to anyone that isn't their bonded witch, but your familiar absolutely loves Tokoyami.

-They'll hop onto his lap immediately as soon as he sits down in your room.

🕯 Both you and Tokoyami thrive in the darkness, so there are often times where you both hang around in your dimly lit room cuddled up together just talking all day (or even sometimes laying there in comfortable silence).

-You'll be in there together for so long that all of your friends will start questioning where you're both at, and not even realize that you're just in your room.

💀 He obviously likes you a whole lot, but he's super bad at saying it with words. He's just shy and bashful. BUT THEN DARK SHADOW EXPOSES HIM LMAO-

-You'll be standing there looking super cute, and Tokoyami will just stare at you and want to say something so badly. Then Dark Shadow appears and is all like "wOw yOu'Re sUpEr hOt" and Tokoyami just dies right there in the very spot he's standing cuz he can't believe that just happened.

🕯 That's another thing- Tokoyami stares at you a LOT. He even did it before y'all started dating, but now he doesn't even try to hide it.

-You barely noticed at first, but once you started noticing how often you catch him staring at you, you can't help but tease him a little.

-You'll stare at him back, directly in the eyes, and he'll get super flustered and embarrassed.

-Then to calm him down and make him feel less embarrassed, you'll giggle at his flustered-ness and give him a lil beak kiss...which just makes him even more flustered.

💀 He's definitely the type who wants to be a total romantic, and speak all poem-like to you, and shower you with praises, ect. BUT he gets so flustered when it comes to affection, and second-guesses himself when it comes to his ideas of showing affection.

-He's scared of coming off too strong, or seeming to clingy, or even not doing enough, so he never really gets the chance to act out any of how he wants to show affection- and to top it all off he can't help but be absolutely smitten every time you give him affection of any sort, and he'll not know how to react to it.

🕯 You never call him out on his shyness or how he reacts to your affection, you're not offended with any way he reacts to you. You think it's super cute how innocent he seems when it comes to all of this, and of course you encourage any time he gets a little bit of confidence to hold your hand or compliment you (without the help of Dark Shadow lol).

💀 His feathers get all ruffled when he's flustered, and OMFG it's too cute. 🥺😭

🕯 Something that he loves so much is when you borrow his clothes. Because for him, it's kind of a way to show affection towards you without being super direct about it.

-So him being like "you're cold? here, wear my sweatshirt" translates to "TAKE EVERYTHING FROM ME, KEEP IT FOREVER, I LOVE YOU FJSKDJFHR-"

💀 Don't come @ me- Tokoyami listens to death metal, but he'd totally vibe with something like kpop if you introduced him to it.

-He's definitely a Loona stan.

🕯 Highkey though, now that I think of it- he probably also listens to Joji and Billie Eilish.

-Like, really moody sad boi hours indie music.

-He'd have Will He playing in his headphones, and he'd be all edgy and in his feelings, but he'd also be doing something like baking cookies at the same time lmfao.

-He'd have a playlist named "songs to cry to," but he'd be listening to it while knitting sweaters for puppies or something.

💀 No, you didn't ask me what kind of music that I think Tokoyami listens to, but you got it anyway. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.

🕯 If he's at a store, and sees something kinda spooky looking that makes him think of you, he'd quickly get it and think all day of giving it to you, and he'd want to watch you add it to your collection of lil trinkets and antiques.

-....But he'd chicken out so hard I stg.

-This poor baby would rehearse how he'd give it to you in his head over and over again, and then when the time comes to give it to you, he'd get suddenly so tongue-tied and worried if you'd actually like it or not.

-But, of course, you love whatever he gets you every time. Your always super surprised when he gets you something, cuz it's not your birthday or any special day, and you never expect gifts from people.

-Every time you accept a gift from him, you always want to squeal, tackle him, and shower him with kisses- but you resist doing so with all of your being, cuz you know he'd malfunction.

-Instead you very profoundly thank him many times, and give him one especially loving kiss.

-Seeing your extra surprised and happy reaction always relieves him so much, and it makes him want to do it all over again and gift you a whole shop full of trinkets. His lack of hundreds of dollars is the only thing that stops him.

💀 You're the type of person who wears a lot of black, and scatters bright colors here and there within your look. Your style ranges from goth to pastel e-boy.

🕯 You don't like to change other people's styles or tell other people what to wear, but every once in a while, Tokoyami expresses an interest in dressing like you- which you go NUTS over.

-You'll let him borrow your pastel sweaters, and he'll let you put bright colored hairclips in his feathers.

-He now even owns some pastel colored clothing of his own, that you either gifted him or he secretly bought himself at some point.

💀 He used to be shy about changing up his style every once in a while at first. Whenever you'd take pictures of him wearing bright clothes, he'd softly ask you not to show them to any of the others.

-Eventually he became confident enough to go out in public those rare days he'd wear bright colors, and everyone is always super supportive of the different style.

🕯 He had never been in a relationship with another guy before he started dating you.

-He started questioning his sexuality around the time he started high school, but it was never a priority at first because he was more focused on working hard to get into U.A. and thinking about his future being a hero.

-aNd tHeN hE mEt yOu, and now we're here lol.

-ANYWAYS, y'all go to pride parades together.

-Something he isn't shy about is his sexuality, cuz as soon as he realized how he felt about you, he was all in and that was that.

-Y'all go all out for parades with face and body paint, and shirts with your flags on them, and even sometimes bringing signs and flags to hold up and wave around.

-Some of your friends will come with the two of you, whether they're there because they're also lgbtq+ or just because they support it.

💀 So yeah- I think Tokoyami is highly underrated and I'm extremely soft for him. He's an emo birb boi, what is not to love.

Revolutionary Girl Utena: After The Revolution By Chiho Saito (Review) Part 1. (⚠SPOILERS!!)

.Okay so back in 2018, I had ordered the original Japanese manga and held it for a while until the Viz English version came out last October 2020. I gotta say, Ms. Saito's artstyle has evolved over the years and I fell in love with her work even more! Okay, don't read this review for those who haven't read this manga if you don't like spoilers.

Okay, let's get started.

"After the Revolution" consists of three short stories that give us an update on the Student Council members who are now Ohtori Academy Alumni. We can tell that these stories pick up after the anime. The first one focuses on Touga and Saionji, the second one focuses on Juri, and the third one on Miki and Kozue. The similarities are them all encountering the disturbing memories of Ohtori Academy (i.e., Akio's Paintings, The sword of Dios, and Anthy's abuse at the hands of her own brother) and uncovering secrets they are trying to find their own Revolutions. In this book, Utena's the new Dios, now! It was nice she got to keep her boyshorts uniform with the princely epaulets, but I would've liked it better if she had an outfit that was similar to Dios' just like in her final confrontation with Akio. That kind of outfit would have made Utena more princely and fully bloomed (matured).

I. After The Revolution- There's an auction taking place and everybody is bidding on a Picasso nude painting. Among those bidders, we see Touga and Saionji outbidding each other...on telephones! Not gonna lie, I didn't know that's actually something you could do at an auction. I've gotta research some more.

So Touga wins the auction and the painting belongs to him. After the auction, Touga and Saionji cut eyes at each other for the first time in years, and Touga, being the playboy that he's always been, has a new gal on his sleeve. Touga recognizes Saionji but he seemingly doesn't remember him. Saionji tells him that he's a Galleriste hired by a client to do a job and Touga said he was also doing the same. This could mean that these two either own an art gallery or operate at an art gallery. Saionji points out that Touga has always been flirting with different women to which Touga responds that the woman he's with doesn't understand Japanese. The unnamed lady took offense to that and insisted that she did understand Japanese. Saionji expresses his displeasure at Touga as they part ways. Boys will be boys, they always say. Geez, Touga would be better off being a Gigolo than a Galleriste. Maybe he is a Gigolo, this art thing must be his side job. I mean look at him, he has the looks, the charm, anything that a girl would want in a man. So why not have Touga be a Gigolo?

NOTE: (*Did I forget to mention that Chiho Saito had a manga called "Gigolo"? Think of it as "Two Broke Girls" but with guys. It's about these two broke rich guys that are desperate to get back into the game by looking for more rich women. I sure can't wait for more of her work, besides Utena, to get serialized. It's like she's received the same treatment as Naoko Takeuchi. They both have a manga that became a worldwide phenomenon while their other works get overshadowed by the most popular manga they've ever created. Which is a shame, really. Oh well, can't win 'em all, I guess. Enough of my rambling. Let's get with the program!*)

Now Touga is in the middle of a business call with a client. Ya' know, just doing some galleriste stuff and then he receives some daily mail but the envelope that stood out the most was the one with the rose seal. Sound familiar? He opens it to reveal a cryptic letter that said: "You who seek the Revolution, Return to the academy". Okay, so imagine being an adult years after you've graduated (escaped) from Ohtori Academy only to find out that you have to go back to that twisted world full of messed-up fairy tales and people getting manipulated by a rich handsome chairman whom everyone looked up to as an ideal prince when he's really the Prince of Darkness, The End of The World. What would you do? You mean to tell me that I have to go back to that crime scene of a school, after being taken advantage of mentally, physically, and sexually by "The End of The World"?? By the looks of this, I could already tell that Touga has forgotten about the shady biz behind the ritzy, glitzy school and the duels that took place. To be honest with you, this would've been called "Surviving Ohtori Academy". If I was one of these main characters, let alone a female main character, this would reopen old wounds with me.

Anyways, Touga goes to revisit his old Alma Mater, the now-defunct Ohtori Private Academy. He saw a bunch of auditors wheeling out boxes of rare items to possibly sell them or something. He couldn't go through the entrance of the academy so he took the other way in. Touga runs into Saionji yet again as they had both received the same letter. So the Student Council "Frienemies" began the search for the Revolution that the letter mentioned. Touga mentioned that The Revolution was a painting that belonged to Akio Ohtori, the former chairman who was also a famous artist. Twenty years after the chairman had killed himself, the value of his work had increased. He even explained that a painting of the chairman's younger sister, Anthy, was sold to a winner at an auction but the painting disappeared before the winner could collect it. Oooh, scary! So Touga finds a portrait of the chairman and his sister, then they get a surprise visit by none other than the man himself, Akio Ohtori! (*cue Phantom of the Opera theme song*)

The dead chairman appeared before them in all his ghostly wickedness with the Akio car behind him. He asks them, as a favor, to keep his painting, The Revolution safe because he didn't want anybody to have it. Akio didn't disclose the location of the painting but he said that if Touga and Saionji did what he asked, then they can have his whole art collection. Then he showed them a will he wrote years ago before he died. When Touga asked who wanted the Revolution, Akio tried to tell them but a sword flew right through him. Was Akio trying to say it was the Rose Bride that wanted the painting? Maybe, maybe not. So Akio's spirit disappears and Saionji and Touga were trying to figure out where that sword came from and next thing you know, a storm came and knocked them into a flashback memory of the day they lost their families as little kids. Touga wakes up in a hospital and sees Saionji crying and saying everybody was dead. Touga wanted to know where his sister was so he gets out of bed to go look for her. Touga calls out for his sister, Nanami while they look around the hospital. Then they see a trail of rose petals that lead to a door and find a room with three coffins. A little girl, none other than Utena, was inside one of those coffins mourning her parents. Touga notices the Rose seal on her finger which Utena reminded herself that she can't die yet because she saw a girl (Anthy) that literally has the world on her shoulders. She declared that she's going to become a prince and save her and revolutionize the world. Saionji tells Touga that the castle was falling on them.

The two awaken back in the present and realized they both had the same dream about Utena. Then Touga gets a call from an artist named "Rime" much to Saionji's disgust. "Rime" called to tell Touga he's finished with his piece and Touga arranged to see it in person. Saionji is against it saying that "Rime" has a criminal history of pedophilia, kidnapping, and sexual abuse! That's gross!! 🤢🤢🤢Touga, of course, disagrees and says it's in the past, and Saionji counters that "Rime" has no redeeming qualities whatsoever and he changed his identity and ran an art school to collect more children. Despite showing him evidence, Touga still believed that we should separate the art from the artist, which is pretty tough to do given the circumstances that someone we look up to turns out to be a terrible person underneath.

(It has been an ongoing debate over the years, it's become the new "chicken or the egg". What do you think, ladies and gents? Is it possible to separate the Art from the Artist?)

Saionji is a bit perturbed with Touga supporting someone like that and pulled a sword on him saying he doesn't deserve The Revolution. They clash swords causing the all too familiar dueling arena to appear and they are wearing their dueling uniforms. This began to ring some bells with the frienemies and they duke it out some more. Then all of a sudden, the bells were tolling and rose petals began to shower them. The castle appears once more and a familiar pink-haired girl appeared before them. It was none other than Utena Tenjou in all her princely goodness! The way she descended from the sky was almost similar to Dios when he came to her. It turned out that she was the one who sent them that letter. She gives Touga a rose ring and uttered yet another cryptic message, "The power to revolutionize the world".

Once again, Touga and Saionji woke up and realize that Utena was the same little girl they saw in their previous dream. Touga gets a little teary-eyed at the fact that Utena had fulfilled her goal to become a prince. He tries to hide it from Saionji, though. Thanks to the rose ring that Utena gave Touga, they begin to put two and two together and use the Sword of Dios that was lodged in the wall as a key to Akio's Sex Dungeon-I mean Secret Chambers. There, they finally get a good glimpse of The Revolution, which is a framed painting of Anthy naked in a bed of roses. (Oh No... *has Adolescence of Utena flashback*) Then, Akio's spirit rematerializes for the last time to take back his precious Revolution. And this time, he's armed. He aimed his sword at Touga but Saionji took the hit for him. As Akio prepares to do away with the two, Touga slips the Rose ring that Utena gave him and prays to Prince Utena for the strength to revolutionize the world. He picked up the Sword of Dios and, with his newfound strength, knocks Akio's rose off, and the wicked spirit of Akio Ohtori was no more. Touga checks on Saionji to see if he's okay and begins to help him up. Touga's ring was gleaming and they notice that the ring was reacting to the painting. The painting of The Revolution had changed from naked Anthy to Anthy and Utena together. Then the painting disappeared. As they leave Ohtori, Touga believes that the reason they were chosen was that she needed help in rescuing Anthy from her brother and escape his world and that was the meaning of having the power to revolutionize the world.

Well, that's the end of this review of the first short story of "Revolutionary Girl Utena: After The Revolution"! Whew, what a ride that was. We have Touga and Saionji, two former student council members with an interesting taste in art, Prince Utena, who is the new Dios working her way up to save Anthy, and we got Akio Ohtori, the dead chairman (or genius loci) that haunts Ohtori Private Academy trying to hold on to what little power hs has left while guarding his painting of his NAKED SISTER!! This lead me to believe that sometime before his death, he painted her while she was drugged or that's what he thought (The Adolescence of Utena). That picture made me uncomfy, like "I-touched-wet-food-in-the-sink" kind of uncomfy. Though, I liked that Touga channeled his inner Ghostbuster and sent Akio on his way. But why was he crying after seeing Utena as a prince? Anyways, Part 2 will come up if I feel up to it.

I'm here!)🦂🐥Before analyzing, I would like to tell you how I started shipping Sasodei and why I decided to create this blog.

So, I already said that this blog will be dedicated to sasodei. For the most part, I created this blog to show their canonicity. If you are careful, then their reverent attitude towards each other becomes very obvious. Therefore, Sasodei is quite popular. Especially in Japan, among all Naruto's ships, Sasodei is the seventh most popular. And the bottom line is that they don't just look good with each othee. These relationship is multifaceted, based on trust and concessions due to affection for each other.Throughout the anime, they develop

as characters thanks to each other. Their relationship is multifaceted and interesting. Their interaction every time shows the struggle of their life choices between attachment to each other. They are two people who have felt the same pain and loneliness. They seem to be different, but are very similar. Their philosophy is both opposed and complementary; they are two people who understand each other and at the same time oppose. They are the only attachments in each other's life.They are a student and a teacher. A protector and a boy who needs the attention of his Master. They are rivals and irreplaceable people for each other. One cannot can not be the same without the other. All their development revolves around each other (especially the development of Deidara as a character). They had strong feelings for each other, but they did not accept them due to personal internal conflicts. The conflict of each was symbolized by their "art". After Edo Tensei, when they accepted the truth and nothing prevented them from expressing their feelings, it was too late. They were dead.

In Japan, Sasodei is considered canon. Since both in the anime and in the manga, we saw the manifestation of feelings, care and trembling for each other, but did not see physical actions from their sides, I myself considere them a half canon ship.

All this is what their relationship is based on. That is why they have become attached to each other. But many do not notice it all. Therefore, this blog started. All that I said above, I will prove with the help of official sources.We will prove their canonicity with the help of Naruto anime and manga, chibi manga and anime, official games, databoocks, art books, official novels, interviews and comments from Kishimoto and its co-authors. We will analyze them as characters and their relationship.

How did I come to Sasodei?

I watched Naruto this year and discussed all my thoughts with my friend, who is a huge Naruto fan and who loved this anime for like 5 years. I was on Sasori and Deidara's filler series and wrote to him, "God, I can't believe how much these two complement each other. How unique and beautiful their relationship is." Moreover, at this time I did not even think of them as a ship. I just saw two characters that are made for each other. A friend of mine wrote to me as a joke "What if you start shipping them?" After that, I just wondered if there was such a ship? And there certainly was. It all started with interest. So, I googled Sasodei and started collecting information about them. I learned that Sasodei is a canon ship in Japan and that Kishimoto said that "they had something for each other." From that moment on, I thought if i was inattentive. Yes, even then I saw that they were ideal for each other, but this is not enough to defend this ship as canon. I thought maybe I was just not paying attention? So,I rewatched Naruto, analyzed Sasori and Deidara as characters. Their warm and unique relationship to each other became apparent. And that was true.I even know why many of us simply do not notice their connection and affection for each other. ☝️ Firstly, when there are characters who openly shout about their feelings and demonstrate them (like Naruto himself), you lose the habit of being attentive to the interaction of characters and understand their relationship with others with the help of psychology and the type of the character who they are.Sasodei is such a ship. There is a certain understatement in their relationship. Silent and quiet understanding of each other. After all, both Sasori and Deidara have their own philosophy that goes against their affection. Accordingly, they will not openly show their feelings. Especially Sasori. He often covers his concern for Deidar with anger and various excuses. By this they remind me of Sasuke. These characters have disowned people for their own principles and got confused themselves. Sasuke wants to kill Naruto in order to renounce his attachment to him. Sasori tries to push Deidara away with his rude behavior. Have you noticed that Sasori is polite and even nice to everyone? With everyone except Deidara. (But he called Kankur a cute kohai, and a minute later he poisoned him).

✌And secondly, let's be honest. When you watch shippuden for the first time, you think what will happen to Gaara and when you will see Sasuke . And the new characters of the third plan do not focus on themselves.

So, then,I saw their attitude towards each other and that they really are one of the most grounded couples in Naruto. And from that moment, after I saw their validity, I began to ship them (yes, I do not like unreasonable and non-canon couples. This is important to me. That is why I plunged into Sasodei only after I saw that are reaoen).

But many do not notice this. Although sometimes it's obvious. Because sometimes, people who are simply not attentive speak absurdities. It's so absurd, for example, to say that Sasori doesn't trust Deidara. Yes, there are different interpretations. But there are facts that cry out for mutual trust. And in this case, to deny these facts is simply stupid. But in most cases, people do not reject these facts, but simply do not notice or see them. And this blog was created to show that facts about their feelings.And that's why I created this blog. I will clearly show the moments and their relationship, where their cononicity is shown. Some people say heartbreak truly is real. Pain will accumulate inside your chest and it’ll feel like your having a heart attack. They say pain is only something temporary. But is true pain only temporary? Can one really die of a broken heart? How much pain can a person take before it all becomes too much? It’s for these questions, you walk the snow filled empty streets of Yokohama in the dead of night. No sound could be heard. The white beneath your feet glows underneath the full moon as she lights up the night. Snow falls from the sky littering the ground around you and White flurries cascaded from the trees which danced with the wind onto your body.

With Your hair let loose, a midnight black kimono covered every inch of your body keeping the cold away. The purple dragon painted beautifully onto the lower end of the haori you wore stared down onto the pale streets ahead with its piercing emerald green eyes. Frosty winds blow past you, making the skin on your cheeks burn and your hair flow gracefully behind you. Your Fingers were tucked away into the sleeves of your kimono in an attempt to keep them warm. The winter winds made your body ache with pain; yet it was nothing compared to the pain inside of your chest that had been building up over many years. What was that saying again?

If you do not enter the tiger's cave, you will not catch its cub. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. You can't do anything without risking something. But what exactly were you trying to gain? There isn’t anything you hadn’t already risked and there wasn’t anything you weren’t willing to venture out for. Was it closure? Was it for nothing? These questions swam around in your head for years. But here, on this cold and dark winter night, you would wait for him to finally show his face again. His men had been taken down and so had yours. The silver wolf and the flower of carnage.

These were the nicknames they earned themselves many moons ago. The two greatest assassins the government had ever seen. They were praised. They were respected. They were feared. Anyone who dared to cross his or her path ended up dead before they even knew what happened. She was skilled and artful with any sword placed in her hands. He was wise beyond his years and his quick way of thinking is what truly led the duo to victory every chance they got. Their abilities were were unanimously praised by many.

Yukichi had first seen her back in their youthful years. They were both in martial arts training together when he first whitenesed the angelic way her hands would dance with the katana. He even learned a few tips and tricks from her after they introduced themselves. They developed a sort of friendly rivalry after the many spars and training they endured. After they bloomed into their adulthood, yukichi was quick to form an alliance with her. He had never seen a person work as quick and elegant as herself.

The two would go on and develop a partnership together and later on work as assassins for the government. Thus earning the names the silver wolf, and the flower of carnage.

Such as himself, she did have a soft side to her that only revealed itself on occasion. He had seen it many times when they lived together. Even a bitter cold killer had moments of tranquility. He had seen it on her face when their bodies were intertwined with each other. It was little things; her eyes would carry just a little more light when a stray cat happened to make its home in her garden, or when she would give him a small kiss on the cheek after a long passionate night.

They wouldn’t admit that they were lovers. But they did like to release pent up stress after a while in a way some would consider lovers. Every once in a while it felt nice to be held in someone else’s arms as their true emotions came to light. He had seen the scars and imperfections on her body many times. Markings of a dark past she wished to forget painted itself on the delicate skin of her limbs and back. He never asked in fear of her reliving it. He wondered countless times what could be going through her head as she stared off into nothing. Eventually as time passed, he would feel something a little more for her.

One day out of the blue, as they both laid on the grass in her garden watching the first blossoms fall from the Sakura trees around them, she decided to ask a question that had been on her mind for a while. “Yukichi, What’s your opinion on pain?” She said as she turned to look at him.

“Depends on what kind of pain.” He would reply without moving an inch from where he was laying. “pain in here” she put her hand over her heart before pointing to her head “and here..” he turned watched as she waited for a response. He thought long and hard about her question. He couldn’t say he had the answer because he didn’t really know what heartbreak felt like. There’s only one thing he knew for sure..

“Pain is only temporary.”

Slowly, day by day, they both started to change. You could see in his face and actions that the weight of having killed so many people was starting to catch up. She on the other hand, showed less and less remorse and emotion towards everything. She had became colder and colder by the day and He blamed himself for it. If he wouldn’t have decided to partner with her many years ago maybe she would have been a different person instead of the murderer she was now. For this, he decided to break it off between the two of them.

She didn’t argue, she wasn’t upset, but she did tell him that if he ever showed his face in front of her again it would be be either his or her last fight. And he accepted that. He left without ever telling her how he felt. He would go on trying to do good for the world rather than continue his work as an killer. As for her, she continued her work and eventually became the leader of a organization of elite assassins.

Her group would stand a huge problem for the city. Many of her men were corrupted and would do their own thing without her knowledge, Unknowingly causing chaos within other organizations. This would eventually lead to an all out war between all sides. But no matter who dared to challenge her, not one person could ever stand a chance at defeating her. There was only one person who could ever have a chance at stopping her reign, And he knew exactly what he had to do. After all, they were long time partners.

Ah. So he was finally here. Your back faced him as he stood a good couple of feet away from you. You said nothing as you continued to stare up at the full moon in the sky and smile. The snow had stopped and the wind had ceased to roar. Your smile stayed as you finally turned to look at your opponent and long time friend. “I could say the same about you silver wolf.”

She was still as beautiful as ever. Even now as dark bags painted the underside of her eyes and small wrinkles were visible on parts of her face. He couldn’t help but think back to the many times you smiled at him and he thought you were the most gorgeous woman on the planet. “How’s that boy of yours? What was his name again?” You said as you untucked your hands from your sleeves. “I’ve heard about his ability from one of my associates.”

“Ranpo, and He’s not my son.” He replied as he chuckled darkly. “Unfortunately he has no ability. It’s all in his head”. There was a long pause before you turned back to the sky. “I see..” you whispered to yourself.

“Was that why you chose to quit the life you had?” You said as you turned back and took a step towards him. “Is he the reason you decided to abandon me as if we never knew each other? Like we hadn’t slain so many people in our years?” Your voice was laced with darkness as it echoed into the night.

His eyes widened slightly as he once again thought about what you said. “I had a change of heart you could say” he replied as he also took a step forward. The scilence returned after that. You both stared each other down like wild animals fighting for territory before you drew your katana slowly from your side. The eery sound of silver against wood rang out. The silver shone and reflected under the moonlight. You stared down at the blade, admiring the beauty behind it before closing your eyes and placing a small kiss on the hilt. You did this every time you held it unsheathed. He could recall the countless times you had kissed your blade before you started your routine.

He in return drew his out too. There was no room for a reunion right now. He reluctantly held it in your direction before taking a stance. It brought him back to the days you spent training, when you two would spar together. You opened your eyes and stared him down; your eyes clouded with a murderous gaze. “Are you ready yukichi?”. He took a breath and waited for the freezing vapor to disappear into the night before giving you the slightest of nods.

And once again, you started your winter dance. Swords clashed in a matter of seconds. You were swift on your feet as they danced around him. Hair and cloth flowing wildly as each swing you took collided with his blade. He knew your way of style, He was easily able to deflect almost every slash you threw at him. He pushed you back with his blade, making you jump a good foot away from him. You stared at him with the same murderous expression as a small cut appeared apon your cheek. The blood dripped slightly down your face and you rubbed it away with your sleeve.

“You surely have improved yukichi, I can say that much” you smirked as you straightened your katana. “I can’t remember the last time you actually laid a hit on me”. He clicked his tongue and swung his sword in your direction once again. You dodged and swerved as his blade came inches away from slashing your skin. On his last swing though, you had jumped up in the air before landing a kick into his side, making him fly into the building next to you in a cloud of rubble and dust.

“I can’t have you knowing all my secrets yukichi” she smiled as the bokken left bruises on his upper arms. She smirked at him as she held it over her shoulder with a hand on her hip. “Ready for another round? You still have a lot to learn from me” she said as she held her hand out for him. He returned the smile before grasping her hand...

He coughed and spit up blood as his body ached with pain. He had to think of something quick before you made your next move. You stood and watched from a distance as the dust started to clear up only for you to realize his body wasn’t even their anymore. Your eyes widened with realization before you turned around swiftly to block his blade as it came down from above. Your faces were inches apart as you both struggled for the upper hand. He stared at your face, which was illuminated by the moon in the sky, and he remembered back to all the times he would admire your beauty when you didn’t notice. Or maybe you did, he never really knew. Even now as you were dirtied and bloody, a small part of him still admired you.

He had a little bit of blood dripping from his mouth as he clenched his teeth, trying to pry his mind away from lingering thoughts. You continued to smirk at him even as you were desperately failing to fight back against his strength. He was a lot taller than you after all. “This bring back memories, doesn’t it? Remember all the times you tried to get me down and you couldn’t?” You said through your struggle.

Finally, his knee collided with your stomach before kicking you away from him. He used that time to slash your shoulder, cutting the sleeve of your kimono as crimson sprayed out. You let out a series of coughs before kneeling and holding the wound in pain. The freezing winds made it burn and hurt like hell. Yet not once did you take your gaze off of him.

“Never take your eyes off your opponent yukichi” she said as he wiped away blood from his mouth where she had managed to hit him. He glared at her from a distance as he straightened himself up. “Again”...

“I’m tired of playing games like little school children. It’s about time we ended this” he yelled at you from where he stood before he flung away the blood on his sword. He could see your breath in short puffs of vapor as you took your stance once again. You breathed out slowly before You twirled and graceful started making your way towards him like a leopard running to catch its prey. Each step you took was delicate enough to almost not leave footprint in the soft white underneath you.

Grunts and metal against metal echoed through the wind as it picked up again. You and him locked eyes for a split second, and for a moment, he could see the agony and despair behind them that he had seen so many moons ago. The pain of having to fight someone who meant so much to you had continued to weigh you down with time. It made his chest hurt. Everything felt like slow motion as you both raised your katanas one last time..

“𝐻𝑒𝓇𝑒 𝒶𝓉 𝒽𝑜𝓂𝑒, 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝒾𝓉𝒾𝓏𝑒𝓃𝓈 𝓌𝒶𝒾𝓉 𝒻𝑜𝓇 𝓎𝑜𝓊.”

It hurt. Everything hurt. You swore you landed a hit on him as he swung his blade from above. Only he didn’t. He instead chose to bring it down right before you stepped in front of him causing the blade to pierce straight through your chest. He knew you probably had the same idea as him as your blade went straight through his shoulder instead. Maybe you meant to miss on purpose. He would never know.

“Say yukichi..” you whispered into his shoulder as you laid your head against his chest “do you still truly think pain is only temporary..?”. His eyes widened for a moment. He could care less about the pain his body was experiencing. Your voice was quiet and laced with a sense of tranquility once again. With a grunt, he pulled his blade from your chest in a swift motion. You did they same as the silver fell to the ground with a clank. He threw his katana to the side before catching your body right before it hit the ground. He cradled your head in his hand as he held your body close to his chest.

You looked up into his eyes before you placed a bloody hand to his cheek, staining the pale skin below your fingers in crimson. A cough rose from your chest, a dark sound following after as you gurgled one your own blood. “I’ve known pain all my life.. you knew that, more than anyone...” You wiped a tear from his eye that he didn’t even know they had accumulated. A weak smile plastered itself apon your freezing lips. “I think.. for once in my life.. I’m not in pain anymore... the pain in here... is no more. ” you whispered as you placed your hand to his heart. He held you tighter in his embrace as more and more tears fell from his face. He could care less about the blood pouring into his cloths and the wound in his shoulder. He wanted to so desperately tell you that he loved you. He should have done it so many years ago when he had the chance. Yet he couldn’t bring himself to say it.

You turned your head to look at the moon in the sky one last time. She watched you grow for many years. From the moment you were born into this world, to the very last moments you spent breathing. She watched you cry, smile, and kill. She took care of you and showed you light in the darkest of times. You silently thanked her before closing your eyes and letting out a shallow breath. And in your last moments, you also thanked yukichi fukuzawa for truly giving you something to believe in all these years. Giving you something to venture for. Giving you something to love. As the life drained from your body you couldn’t help but feel you were at true peace.

A few months ago I typed up some comments about the anime-only scene between Otogi and Honda on the blimp. Found here.

Well... now I'm here to talk about what happened before that scene. Because I read so much more into it.

Let's take a walk.

Please keep in mind that a great deal of this speculation comes from the belief that, despite Mr. Clown not being seen in the anime, he still exists and his relationship to his son is very similar. Also please keep in mind that this is all speculation from someone who has spent waaaayyyy too much time looking into everything Ryuji Otogi says/ does.

We join our heroes shortly after Yugi's Duel with Bakura. Ryou has fallen unconscious and the stab wound he sustained earlier has re-opened (unless you're watching the dub where blood doesn't exist.)

Otogi's first line comes after Shizuka has asked Kaiba to land the plane, and the camera cuts to her making a pose that demonstrates both uncertainty and discomfort. Kaiba stares at her and Honda and Otogi both get between them... to Honda's annoyance.
