2024 January Media Post Thingy
i dont post on tumblr.com a whole lot i mostly just love to reblog but i wanna see if this novelty thing sticks because for like 2020-2022 i had like a text file i did that i stopped doing in 2023 or so for like video games in particular and i unno it was fun but i got distracted cus half that month i was doing retail
anything special happen this year yet? not especially, but since soon ill be very busy with something that IS indeed special, and my bday, i may as well make a post now bc i feel like i will be preoccupied for the first good bit of febuary personally ( exciting life stuff ! )
last disclaimer is that at some point i would want to add movies and shows to this list when i get around to it , but for me december and january've kinda blended in that regard.. me and my friends watched Wonka recently and i was kinda so-so on that just cus' i think the original movies a certain way i guess. oops. i think there were other movies/ shows too and comics as well but once again, december-january blurr for me.
Furthermore, any piece of media i pick out for this will also have a completely arbitrary doc-ism secondary title just because i feel like it. Enjoy!

MARIO GALAXY 2
< SECOND ROUNDEST MARIO GAME >
I wanna say i spent from the first of january to the third on this game, but my Wii Menu calendar is a little fucked up....

Regardless, i do have a bit of a background of not completely " gel-ing " with the original Mario Galaxy gameplay wise in my own friendgroup, to mostly dismayed reactions n junk. In short, i think artistically the game's merits are absolutely fantastic, but since i played it on the switch 3d mario collection some time after sunshine, i do think the control scheme is overall pretty limited, and that does apply to mario galaxy 2, i guess, but methodically, i think playing this game on a wiimote does make the limitation feel i guess more fair in terms of like camera control and deliberacy n stuff... the galaxy games and presentation are completely amazing works of art obviously and theres some good music here but i think between galaxy 1 and 2 i definitely prefer 2 mechanically. i enjoy the level scenarios more thats primarily it, i think. I'm so-and-so on how comets work and how many stars you need to get to get to the end ( I think how comets spawn is a little filler-ey and waiting for them to appear in a level i don't know it'll appear in was a little obtuse to figure out, even if i did eventually manage it and actually enjoy the challenges they offer. its mostly just really annoying comet spawning mechanics that were a drag. a very deliberately- controlling mario i guess and being more familiar with galaxy's control probably was why i was able to enjoy this one more ? Yay!
I think i still enjoy 3d world more then this and most other 3D marios, though. It's a good video game and i liked the boss fights in it, theyre surprisingly cool and dynamic for what i'm used to from the mario series. I didn't do the special world, though. i wasn't compelled to go that far past the credits.
( You'd think this game's doc-ism title would come from it being the sequel to mario galaxy, and thus, second roundest, but honestly, i think in terms of the mario series scale, Mario Pinball Land has round mario in it, and galaxy 2's starship mario is definitely, i think, rounder then the comet observatory from galaxy one. That makes Mario Galaxy the third-roundest mario game! )

ACTRAISER RENAISSANCE
< THE CEREAL-BOX GOD GAME >
actraiser is definitely a mixed video game for me, because i definitely see the merit in it. It's a very unconventional splicing of both sidescrolling and city-development game, a " remake " of a novel SNES/Famicom game with the same premise. You're like a big god of light guy who sends your soul into this little warrior guy who cleanses the land of monsters for around 6 different settlements to florish in with the assistance of a cute little angel friend and whatever area's flavor of local legend the game gives you after a story event or two to hold down the place from encroaching monster dens and such; and, apparently exclusive to this version, there's also little tower-defense segments that come in waves around four or five times per area, which in my opinion are kind of this game's weakest link, but not without like Some kind of merit.
At the end of each town segment, there is also a big boss fight, usually tying into the story in some way.
( I think one of the things that genuinely pushed me to give the game a try was the cute angel design in it..... )
(I usually take an excessive number of screenshots whenever i'm playing on switch, just because doing so is very easy and i'm a sentimental freak ( For actraiser R, this is 148 screenshots ) )
( If i continue doing this next month, i'll try to include the foresight to actually use my capture card for images, instead of taking pictures with my phone.. )

Some things i like that this game does, alot ---
i think it has a very very cool " world select " map. one very postive thing is that it updates in real time with your progress in the area, so you can watch it all expand from your little sky palace once you've done your buisness there. it's really satisfying and pretty... this game's got really good 2d art, i think.
I've heard people be mixed on the sidescroller art in comparison, but i think it's got a charm to it. I think it's cute and while its probably more a budgetary limitation, i do like how everything kind of looks like one of those fantasy stills you can sometimes buy from arts and crafts stores. The framerate on them is like a bit lower then what you'd expect from a modern game but mechanically its still very responsive, which makes me feel like it's a stylistic choice to look more stop-motioney, i guess. Maybe im just a fan of ham, i unno.
In terms of the overhead segments, it's pretty basic and automated, which is fine by me, and perfectly workable for what it is, i think, conceptually ( they build out on your own but you do kind of " guide their hand " when it comes to where paths go, at least. It does lead to a weird meta thing being to zap your own people with holy lightning to destroy stuff you don't want though, which feels flavorfully odd for a benevolent god.... I guess it's fair enough
the main problem with the game is that the tower defense segments, the main major feature and addition of this remake, does kind of take the game's pacing and drop flat in the middle of it. They're usually decently long segments where you can only indirectly fight, and are kind of slow. They also usually need you to protect or have a certain number of buildings left by the end of it ( having all of your farms in tact by the end, defending the main temple, not having every house burned down ) which can be a bit more difficult then it sounds. i dont think the segments are bad or anything, there's just.... entirely too many of them??? like mechanically theyre fine they just happen every other second between story events and it feels kind of padded after like the second one in one area, and there's about 5 per area of increasing difficulty. i definitely think if anything could be reined back, it'd be that.
I don't think the story is too special , either, the angel kind of just quips sassily about the story at you from time to time and your followers make requests of you at the temple, usually manifesting in the town segements as " have x number of y " or getting the population to a set threshold, or getting x number of resources.
The structure of each area isn't shaken up too much, mostly just " new settlement, find a guy, guy isnt so sure about this lord of light guy but through fighting alongside u and some small character arch, they become a champion of yours or something and you meet the scary boss guy and kill them and weaken the big bad dark lords forces behind it all, but there were two segments i liked, both pretty late-game, with the ice wyvern and this guy named shemall whose only affront to you is having a more popular humanitarian ideology ( who actually becomes the dominant ideology in the segment leaving the church literally empty for a good portion of it , and is only tied into the status quo by the dark lord himself possessing the other temple and shit and starting a really really bad storm of eeevil , who i like a bit ) and a boss in the last area who was implied to once be a force of good but ultimately subservient to the bad guys will, which is basic but i tihnk neat. also they have cool designs. )
Shrug! I think it's neat but it has problems that bog it down! Waah!
i dont regret playing it or anything but it's like a 7!
( It's kind of like a game you'd get in one of those cereal boxes, and it's a little cheap, but its endearing to me ? )

Ummm...
i know this game's like a crowd favorite, and it's, like, solid, but i don't really have all that much to say about it ..... Like, it's an OK platformer, with like really great value for your dollar, but i don't really have all that much to say about it, endearment-wise. I think also that the VHS horror elements are largely unnecessary and are kind of whatever, but I know i'm not really the audience for it. That's the spoiler, i guess.
Around the same time, in a date range I don't remember, I basically ended up completely reorganizing my room for Life Stuff, and ended up giving a really cool fan project a try, from a series i've always wanted to try more of, if not for the language barrier, in the form of --
STARFY ORIGINS ( Densetsu no Stafy )

Waaaaaaaa ! i love starfy ( Stafy? )
You probably wouldn't have the background on it unless you knew me, but i'm a real DS head, and one of my earliest games on the system, one i have vivid memories with, was The Legendary Starfy, an " underwater platformer ", mostly known as being a kirby-like game in style, and being the last entry in a mostly untranslated series of platformers that're japanese-exclusive!
Essentially, what this means for me was that there was , for a very long portion of my kid-years, a bunch of video games out there that i knew i'd be instantly endeared by if ONLY i could play them ( since, even at the time, gba emulation for me was kind of mystical and out of my ability ) ; and , at least in my mind, that meant it'd have just as many lovable characters and such as the the starfy I got to play, anecdotaly meaning the only exposure i'd have to these games beforehand is ferverously looking up stuff on the starfy wiki and watching youtube videos of the final bosses and stuff; basically just lementing for years that " aww,, theres no translation. i guess it's just too obscure " with the rest of the starfy fans i've heard about online, until recently!
I emulated this game on Vita and overall i'd just have to say its a cute, decently-novel-but-slightly-padded 2d sidescroller. I'd say it was like ok-levels of worth the wait, but im honestly just floored that a translation of the first game happened at all, and i think its awesome what's been done. It's selfish to want, but i'd really like to try the other DS starfy game sometime, whenever that's translated. It's honestly one of the few loose-end games i can even think of and mechanically that one's a whole lot more out there then this one, which, other then the novelty of playing this game i've only heard murmurs of for over a decade, is just kind of alright. kudos to the fan translators making this game work out!!! I wonder if the team that did this have plans for the others now that this game's been translated....

idk i think this green girl is neat and the arcade style bullethell gameplay's really fun on steam deck; i just think the girls should be like 7 years older each then what the game says because the loli aspects of this game are kind of uncomfortable and unavoidable and i don't like them at all...
the gothic horror halloween aestetic the game has otherwise absolutely rocks and is just up my alley, though.
i guess its just part of the style theyre going for, but it's a really unfortunate Japanese quirk you kind of have to just tolerate for the other Very Good aspects the game has gameplay and artisticly wise ( music and art direction is awesome )

really cool open-world emerald rom hack, similar to crystal clear and the like. I've technically played it already, but this is the first time i've completed it, though i completely broke the game really early into it that undermined it in a way i didnt realize for about 7 gyms, before i accidentally nuked the overworld with a massive bug that scrambled my player's gender and made the overworld color pallete fuck-ey, which, im not ggoing tto blame the developer on, i'm summing that up to a cosmic ray or something. i think with time and with more polish i could see myself liking this more then crystal clear, but time'll see. ( Team was as below )
MIGHTY GUNVOLT

typing this like an hour ins making me realize this docism thing might not stick but mighty gunvolt is neat i guess
i never finished it when i first played gunvolt and obsessed over that when it was new ( Mighty gunvolt came as a free download if you bought the first game digitally, you see ) because of the first boss, but now as a more experienced gamer, that's really just because the fire boss is kind of just a weird difficulty spike at the start that the rest of the game difficulty wise doesnt really match up to. It's a cute, very short ( i beat all 3 character campaigns in two hours , liesurely ) platformer styled like megaman, and that's all it really needed to be at the time. i wouldnt go out of my way to play it these days if it wasnt for my own baggage with the gunvolt series in general, and if it wasnt for my much greater affection for its sequel, mighty gunvolt burst.... I'm just gonna say if this game interests you , you really should just play burst instead. Even if you've played the latter before, you're really not missing out on much more then a moderately ok side scroller. it sure is a tie in demake on the early 3ds !
6180 THE MOON
Surprisingly, this game's on alot of platforms? I just kind of chose it on a whim 'cus it was on the top of the list of H-SHOP stuff and i was looking for something short to play, but it's pretty artsy.
It's a puzzle-platformer where the gimick is that the ball wraps around the screen when you fall down or up, which works really well with the 3ds in my opinion. with the compression and stuff on the 3ds and how the game was laid out, it affectionately reminds me of a flash game you'd find on coolmath or the such, and its very relaxed ( if a little wonky ) . i dont have anything bad to say on it or anything its just a small little game i played on a whim. it's very minimalistic, if you're into that aestetic, you might like this.
That's the last of the wholy " new " stuff i finished this month, and id say overall its a solid start for me, and kind of out of season ( very octobery-feeling game lineup in retrospect..! But that month's always usually crowded with obligations and stuff, so i doubt i'd be in a mood for them even at that time of year.. )
Also, i gave a try to cavestory on wiiware, first time i've played the game in a few years now since the switch rerelease! I think its just as fun as i found it when i first discovered it on 3ds, and, while i have a friend who adamantly disagrees, i actually really do like the OST of this version. It's a cute mutation on the games ost that in my opinion enhances the kind of forelorn vibe the game originally had, and i really like the blown up art of this version of cave story, even if it does have nichalis's hands all up in the matter. since it's unlocked from the start, i played the game on Curly Story till the true ending. I still love this game alot. Sometime i'll trick a certain individual into finishing it, i hope.
That's all i have to say! this is the first time i've made such a big post on any kind of social media period, so, hopefully its not unreadably disjointed or self-absorbed. Whatever!

im having intrusive thoughts (theyre UNWELCOME. ive been hit by so many emotions i cant stop myself from actually crying rn ) now that i finished it okay so

ALSO WHEN is the conversation about them mentioning 'hey you keep calling me father..' (could be brushed off as 'you remind me a lot of my father'. cue probably mixed feelings) or '..hey what was that about you calling yourself a zigvolt when we first met?'
i mean sharing LAST NAMES (edit: i said nicknames wtf? im so sorry) without being related is normal. although i dont know how normal it is in twisted wonderland.

hhh still not sure on names but whatever greying wings introduction to meetup au (it does not go great) (remember party refers to the entire group bc d&d is built into my soul) (name ref here) (Also, GW!girls are referred to as their nicknames from the get go here but they dont actually get or use them until later)
uh this got long so theres a break now
*The entire party is chilling in a clearing, when suddenly loud wingbeats sound overhead. Everyone immediately stands up, grabbing whatever weapons they have, expecting herons to descend upon them. Instead, something falls out of the sky, a whirlwind of black feathers crashing down with a shout. Everyone looks at each other in confusion, attention returning to the creature as it groans and stands up, black wings stretching out to their full capacity. It brushes itself off, looking up to the sky, seemingly unaware of the people surrounding it. More wingbeats sound, and it smiles up at something it sees, waving and calling out.*
Black(GW!Marcy): Sorry guys, I tripped on something!
*Faint shouts come from the sky, something along the lines of "How do you trip while flying!?", and it laughs, finally taking in it's surroundings. It makes eye contact with Psych, and freezes, wings immediately drawing inwards, becoming nearly invisible in the blink of an eye.*
Black: O-oh. Sorry. I didn't see you. U-um, don't worry, I'm with a pure-
Vagabond: Another one!? Seriously!? How many alternate universes are there?
WV!Marcy: Even the core doesn't know that.
Black: Uh, am I interrupting something or- *Their [Black] gaze travels to WV!Marcy, and they suddenly breaks off in speech.* You look just like me! But you don't have wings, I didn't think that was possi-
*Their speech gets cut off once again, but this time it is by flurry of white and grey feathers, which fall away to reveal two girls, looking to be around 15, just like the first, standing protectively over the black-haired one.*
Grey(GW!Sasha): They're with us. Wait- who the fuck are you and why do you look exactly like Anne?
*She points her newly drawn sword at Sapphire, eyes narrowed in a glare. White(GW!Anne), places a hand on her shoulder, but her eyes are hardened as well, widening as she looks around the camp.*
White: You all look like us. But some of you are old. And none of you have wings.
*Heron steps forward, and Grey and White step back, wings spreading as if to hide Black, who's head peeks out curiously, but seems comfortable hidden behind them.
Heron: Am sure yer all confused, we all were at firs'. Te start off, Am going to assume yer names are Sasha, Anne, and Marcy? *Grey nods slowly, sword point lowering slightly.* Wonderful. So are we. That damned cat-
Domino: Heron your supposed to call it the Guardian, only the other Annes know it's a cat.
Heron: Yeah yeah whatever the weird deity thing decided to throw us all together for shits and giggles and Ah guess yer the most recent additions.
Black: Why are you Scottish?
Heron: WHY DOES EVERYONE SAY THAT??
ToaF!Anne: Yeah yeah we know Heron's Scottish it's weird anyway more importantly you guys got wings? That's cool as shit! How'd you get them? And why are they different colors?
*At this comment, Black seems to draw her wings even closer to herself, ducking back down.*
White: Uh, everyone has wings?
Grey: None of your business.
*The clearing goes quiet at the opposing answers, while Grey and White glare at each other.*
White: Do you want to get darker?
Grey: Oh yeah let's not talk about how grey you were before it reset you huh?
*They start to bicker, and Black hesitantly moves away from them, still standing at a distance from the rest of the group. CF!Marcy waves at them, dragging her own girls over as well. Black steps to the side slightly, wings somehow pulling in even smaller, but they doesn't outright leave.*
CF!Marcy: Hi, I'm [GIVE ME NAME SUGGESTIONS PLEASE], this is Mouse and [CF!Sasha]. Your's fight a lot too, huh?
Black: U-uh yeah, they do, even though we're not really supposed to. They always forgive each other.. afterwards though... *They trail off, eyes locked on the other's wings*
CF!Sasha: Okay since neither of them answered, why are your guy's wings different colors? Just like a normal wing-person thing?
*Black winces, but sighs, answering.*
Black: First, we're angels, not "wing-people". And when you sin, your feathers grey, but it can be undone if you're forgiven. That's why Sasha's are so dark. Anne got reset by the Guardian, which is why she's nearly pure white.
Mouse: Okay, but why are you black?
Black: ...I was getting to that. When you commit an unforgivable sin, or at least one that is perceived as so, you fall. Black wings are the mark of a fallen angel.
CF!Sasha: Damn, what did-
*CF!Marcy cuts her off, as Black folds her wings inwards, over her head.*
CF!Marcy: I want you to think long and hard about the common factor.
CF!Sasha: Oh. Sorry.
Black: It... It's fine, I'm used to it. This is actually the uh best reaction I've gotten so...

Grian hummed thoughtfully. “I like minigames,” he said.
“Oh, you’d probably have a grand time, honestly,” Mumbo said. “Too rich for my blood, personally, but Scott had said he was looking for more hermits to play- it was just False and Ren last time. Want to go say hello?”

Kip had had a strange feeling all night. Every time he caught Cassidy looking at him, the eyes lingered on him just a little bit too long, oftentimes looking at him over the top rim of the sunglasses, just observing. It wasn’t unnerving to Kip or anything, but he had been around the blond long enough to know that when he was silently begging attention like this, it usually meant something was off.
And Kip knew it was hard to get him to talk while they were at work, so he had to wait until the end of the night to get to the bottom of this.
As time passed, it was getting harder and harder to hold himself from pressing forward with this. Every time they passed each other in the hallway, Kip could feel Cassidy’s fingers reaching for him, brushing against his arm, the back of his hand almost in an attempt to hold his hand in that fleeting moment. They never exchanged words throughout the day during these moments they crossed paths, but it was so obvious that Cassidy wanted something from him.
Craved, even.
He wasn’t sure what was the correct time to become concerned about all of this, but the moment he was greeted by Cassidy at the rental car at the end of the night and wasn’t given a kiss as the blond instead immediately walked around the car and sat on the driver's seat, Kip had so many questions run through his head. Hesitantly taking a seat in the car after loading in their bags, he tried to observe the side of Cassidy’s face, without getting any clues to what was rattling around in his mind.
“Is everything okay?”
Cassidy didn’t respond back to him, his eyes barely glancing down as Kip reached for his hand, taking a hold of it finally, after what felt like hours of not being able to do that. Cassidy’s fingers immediately intertwined with his, holding his hand almost a little bit too tight, like he was afraid that letting go meant something horrible.
Kip could have sworn there was a faint layer of blush on Cassidy’s cheeks, but it was hard to tell in the dark car in the terribly lit parking garage. He could, however, see the way Cassidy was clearly biting his lower lip, holding something back.
“Clementine.”
He remained silent, only moving their hands to Kip’s lap as he started the car. Kip knew better than to try to disrupt him while Cassidy was driving, letting the topic go for the time being. The ride to the hotel wasn’t that long, and they were sharing a room, so him getting some answers if he could just make sure they had a safe ride ahead of them was still in the books for tonight.
Carefully untangling Cassidy’s hand from his, almost feeling afraid that one would hurt the other with how tightly Cassidy was holding his hand, Kip watched as the other man didn’t retreat his hand to himself. Instead he opted to leave it on his thigh, almost deliberately holding it, his thumb running along on top of it, the rest of his fingers every now and then drumming against the inner side.
Kip tried to ignore it to the best of his ability, knowing doing anything about it now or bringing it up in the car wasn’t going to help the case. He could have just moved his hand away, taken a hold of it again, but it felt disruptive to the moment. He didn’t mind it, but at the same time it felt like an awfully uncharacteristic set of actions for Cassidy.
They drove in silence, Kip’s eyes focusing on the boring city views barely changing outside his window the couple of agonizingly long minutes they drove to the hotel. The lobby was near empty, the silent elevator ride up to their floor as they held hands and Cassidy’s fingers were drumming the back of his hand were driving him insane. Kip knew to save all the questions for when they were actually alone in the room without a chance of getting interrupted, but the way to get up there seemed to be endless.
As they finally stepped inside the room after Cassidy managed to fumble with the key cards for a solid two minutes, with a heavy sigh Kip closed the door after him, pushing his luggage to the foot of the bed.
“Alright, what the fuck is going on?”
Before getting his answer, Kip watched the familiar jean jacket getting thrown onto the bed past him, making him raise a brow. As he turned on his heels to face the blond, Kip was immediately pulled into a kiss by a hand on the back of his head, with the other hand Cassidy starting to peel him out of his own jacket.
The sudden kiss being pressed on his lips so fast didn’t allow Kip’s brain a choice to resist, immediately melting him against it. Helping Cassidy get him out of the jacket, as soon as it was thrown somewhere on the floor Kip could feel both of the blond’s hands on his face, pulling him closer. He allowed the kiss to deepen as Cassidy’s almost hungry demeanor was begging for more, gently but firmly licking his lips before Kip allowed him to slip past them.
He felt Cassidy pushing him slightly, his legs hitting the end of the bed as he backed Kip up, sitting him down on the bed. Making sure to not break the kiss apart at any point Cassidy easily followed him down, straddling on his lap. Kip’s arms attempted to wrap around him, only for Cassidy to remove his hands from his face, grabbing his hands and with one fell swoop easily pushing him down back against the bed, pinning Kip’s hands above his head.
They parted for a moment, each man catching their breath as Kip looked up at the already disheveled blond hovering over him, letting out a soft chuckle.
“Oh. So that’s what this was about.”
Cassidy leaned closer, stealing another kiss from his lips. Passionate, but not long enough, just a lingering one to leave Kip crave for more.
“Shh,” he whispered into his ear, sending little shivers down Kip’s spine. He knew the rough tone Cassidy was using at that very moment, being very well aware what it was leading up to if things were to continue this way. “No talking. Just enjoy it.”
Even if he would have wanted to, Kip didn’t have a chance to respond as Cassidy leaned over for a kiss, this time not pulling away.

It was the summer of 89, me and my mother just moved to the lone town of derry. School just finished and i felt like shit. Missing kids cases have been happening alot lately scaring the living shit out of me, i feel like im gonna get kidnapped any minute now, i wonder why tho.
Maybe i'm just being paranoid but i swear i felt eyes watch me as i pack my things to leave the classroom, i was alone, but it didn't feel like it.
I ignore what i felt and walked out heading straight to the bathroom to well, haha.
As i enter i saw gretta taunting some Beverly girl, I've heard about her before but i could care less. I felt bad tho, as i enter a stall to pee.
Water splashed and leaked on the floor. I waited for gretta and her stupid friends to leave before knocking on the bathroom stall's door to check up on the girl.
"Hey you ok in there?" I asked "uh yeah!' she replied, it didn't convince me tho.
She walked out the stall, she wasn't covered in anything but i could see her dress was wet. "Hey wait…! Your dress, its well, wet." I stated out the obvious, she just stared at me, WHY DID I SAY THAT.
"oh… yeah" she replied blankly staring at me. "Here, let me just-" i quickly got tissues and wiped her dress, not even finishing my sentence. "The names [name] by the way, nice to meet you" i needed friends don't blame me. "I know, we have the same classes, im bev, you probably know me already." I smiled at her, "nice to finally properly meet you ms marsh." "this isn't really a proper way of meeting someone but sure" she smiled "nice to meet you too." We walked out the stinky ass bathroom and talked for a while.
We finally got out the building bumping into the new kid, ben. He and bev talked about stuff i don't care about after we introduced ourselves. I was just standing there watching them, flirting? Bev grabbed Ben's yearbook and signed it.
I felt like someone was watching me again, gives me the creeps man. I walked away, looking around trying to figure out who or what was looking at me.
A hand touched my left shoulder snapping me back to reality. It was bev, i forgot i was still with her, "you ok? You look kind of pale." "Im fine, just finally glad that hell hole of a place is done for a few weeks." I say pointing at the school building. She chuckled, "what happened to uh the new kid?" I ask "Ben, and nothing happened to him i just told him i didnt want to keep you waiting." She looked at me like i was some toddler whose impatient enough to just run-off, which i did. "So, you have to hots for him?" I ask "No? God no how did you even com up with that?" "I don't know" i laugh playfully and walked away with her, ignoring that eerie feeling im having.

We were suppose to walk up to the counter when we saw fucking gretta! "Holy shit holy shit holy shi-" We walked faster to the next aisle to see three dudes picking out medical supplies. Bev quickly hid the stuff we got at her back as they stare at us.
"You guys ok?" One of them asks "we're fine whats wrong with you" bev says "none of you're business" the one with curly hair says obviously uneasy with me and bev. "Theres a kid outside that looks like someone killed him" "w-we need some s–s-su-supplies but, we don't have enough money" they say explaining their intentions. "What the fuck" is all i reply.
"Do we reallyyy have to help them??" I whisper to bev hile walking to the cashier "You helped me clean my dress, it turned out great so why not help them?" She said looking at me then back at them. "Thats totally differe-" " i like your glasses mr. Keene" this girl is crazy i swear to god. "You look just like clark kent" i added smiling, this is so disgusting i tell you. "Oh hohoho i dont know about that" he says adjusting his glasses laughing, acting coy. Man he sure is weird and who even says hohoho??? You fucking Santa Claus or something? "Can i try them?" Bev asks, he looks around and says sure handing her the glasses. "You look even better without them mr. Keene." I compliment him, he smiled at me, making me wanna puke my organs out.
"What do you think?" Bev puts the glasses on, mr. keene leans closer to us, "well look at that, you look just like lois lane" he says smiling. What the actual fuck.
"We should really get going, i mean we wouldn't wanna get in trouble for going out so long." I stated smiling at the both of them with a hint of irritation added to my tone. Bev hands him back the glasses 'accidently' knocking down the container of cigarettes. "Shoot im so sorry" she says "its okay" mr. keene says smiling. He leans down to pick up the cigarettes as i turn back to the three guys, signalling them to go now, they even manage to knock a few things down making me chuckle.
We bid our goodbyes to mr. Keene and left immediately.
"Jesus that was gross" i say "wouldn't want to do that ever again" bev added.
As we walk down the street we saw the guy who stutters again.
"Um t-take this" he said pulling out a crumpled dollar "even steven" bev says flashing her stolen box of cigarettes. "I'll take it uh…" "bill m-m-my name's bill" "yeah, bill! I'll take this perfectly fine dollar." I smile at him making him turn away. I follow bev to the alley way and see the guys from earlier.
"Holy shit what happened to you" i ask kinda wide eyed when i saw new kid looking like a leaking hamburger.
"Are you ok that looks like it hurts?" bev asks
"Nah im good… i just fell" ben smiled shyly
"Yeah right into henry bowers" some guy with glasses said making me chuckle, in turn making bev hit my arm. "Ouch" i whispered, rolling my eyes. "Shut it r-r-richie" guy from science class says "why?! Its the truth!" Richie, I assume, exclaimed.
I keep getting this eerie feeling of someone staring at me again, I look around to see bill looking at me. And here i thought i was being stalked. He looked away immediately looking shy when i caught him.
"You sure they got the right… stuff, to fix you up?" Bev asks "are you flirting with him again? in front of everyone too?" I ask naively. "Im not" she looks back at me rolling her eyes playfully.
"Y-y-ou know what we'll t-t-take care of him, thanks again Beverly, [name]" bill says Glancing at the both of us.
"Sure, maybe i'll see you around" bev smiled at him. I swear i saw him blush! "Im richie, call me rich for short sweetcakes" the guy with glasses approached me, i assume trying to flirt with me, smiling like an idiot. "You wont definitely be seeing me around anytime soon." I roll my eyes at him. I look at bev giving her a lets go look.
"Wait!" I hear bill scream, me and bev turn to him looking confused. "W-we were thinking of going to the q-q-q-quarry tomorrow i-if you guys wanna come." He asked glancing at us and his friends back and fourth.
"We dont"
"Glad to know"
Me and bev say at the same time.
"We'll see if we can come." "Which we wont!" I add winking at them as bev pulls me to leave.
"Y-y-you scared her away r-richie!" "No i didnt pretty sure it was you big bill!" "Shut up richie" "yeah shut up richie" i hear them arguing like idiots as we walk away, making me smile to myself.
"Jeez! Do you see the way he looks at you?! Its so Romantically stupid i tell you!" I exclaimed at bev as we walked "shushhh! Someone could hear you you know! And besides its nothing im sure he's just being friendly" "yeah whatever" i roll my eyes at her naiveness, "im going home, you should too, we might be the next missing kids you know" i say half joking.
We said our goodbyes and went our different ways. I felt something staring at me again, i just ignored it and walked home faster im not about to get kidnapped motherfuckers.

Vague My Little Pony bedrock bros au/ideas fuck this is unhinged behaviour, i drew good art to accompany it as i explain the mental illness (tw for major character death)
Going off the assumption that either anyone reading this doesnt know about mlp plot-wise or just doesnt know that much about it plot-wise. So im gonna say the few things that is kinda important to this au, if you know what the things are skip it its a lot of words:
Changling - Hivemind Bug like creatures that are kinda pony shaped. They can do magic(they have a horn), fly (they have wings), shapeshift, and their main thing is eating love. <- eating love is a legit need for them, like food - without eating love they will starve (this episode shows that, starting at around 7 minutes (theres also a banger song at around 17 minutes, but thats my bias talking)) The way they eat love is by shapeshifting (into someones thats loved) and then feeding off that love. They can also shapeshift into just a random pony that doesnt exist. Also this is what a changling looks like, btw. Easier to show than explain v
And the hivemind part is a bit iffy? I mean they say its a hivemind but in the episode i linked the changling (forgot their name because im a fake fan :( ) wanted a friend the second they were hatched so who knows. This isnt that serious this is me making bedrock bros angst from mlp world
Anyways! In my au/idea-for-angst, changlings feeding off of a person's love can harm the person they're feeding off of. I don't know if its like that in canon, which is why i'm saying its an au thing
Tantabus - In canon it's only in Princess Luna's dreams, but canon is dead i shot it, so thats not important. But the reason it exists is Luna felt guilty and made it so that it would give her nightmares (oversimplification, but it's fine) Photo example of what it looks like v
Pony - There are four types of Ponies. Earth pony (no wings + no horn), Pegasi (Have wings but dont have horn), Unicorn (no wings but have horn), Alicorn (Royalty. Have wings + have horn). Ponies also have cutie marks, which is just basicly a magic tattoo they get when they discover their talent/passion

Time for more words. I have two versions of this au/idea, but im gonna start with the one i drew things for.
Tommy is a changling (his wings are too damaged to fly with) and Techno is an earth pony. Tommy is a pretty young changling who Does Not like being a changling. He wants to be a pony, but at the same time he wants people to love him for being him. it's contridictory.
He doesn't take form of anyone specific, the first thing he sees are two disks resting on a bench and he decides that can be his cutie mark. He's never heard music, but he thinks he wants to.
He meets Techno, a potato farmer with apples coated in gold and Tommy didn't know that was possible, and turns out it's just a decoration and he did try to eat it but does it really matter if Techno gave him some love for it?
Techno keeps loving him, and maybe he realized something was wrong when standing for hours started to feel draining when it never had before. Maybe he realized something was off when Tommy's main was growing wrong - jutted out, the hair stiff - and maybe he shouldve realized when Tommy barely hid a gag when he ate anything techno gave him.
It takes time. Techno has a job, but he can't do it anymore. He's tired - it doesnt seem physical until he needs to close his eyes for longer. It doesnt seem like a big deal until silent acts of love towards Tommy make him need to take a nap.
It doesnt seem like a big deal to Tommy, until he realizes that this is why it's so hard to feed a big group. This is why he was allowed to leave alone, because the town is too small and they thought he was smart enough to feed off not just one person.
It doesn't seem like a big deal to Tommy until it's been months, he is full, and Techno stops opening his eyes.
It doesnt seem like a big deal until Techno's last muttered words are that he knew, and he should have done something diffrent, but-
Techno, who's cutie mark is a sword going into his skin - Techno, who's real and true and is able to love. Techno, who may as well have been born for this and who regrets this.
Techno, who stops, either because he physically cant say more or because he mentally cant. Soon enough, his chest stops rising.
Techno didnt like flowers that much, but he didnt mind them and liked the smell of the golden ones outside of his home. He wore it in his main. And tommy, a changling without much of a main or tail, wraps himself in golden flowers and sits close to Techno. There's no use pretending anymore, but he still does.
Tommy makes a Tantabus for himself, he closes his eyes not unlike Techno, and he lays down.
And he dreams.
And the flowers around him wilt.
And he can't hear anything from the hivemind - he hasnt been able to for a while now. He doesnt know how that happened, why it happened, or if it was always like that.
