okay and if i tell you that this is the first time i write a post in someone's inbox ...
i'm just here, the victim of the thought that finnick odair, idolized and glorified, seen as someone who defeats human powers, starts to turn gray from sixteen/seventeen. he never was really aware of it until around the 69th games when his stylist point it out and promptly recolored the few strands. after that, there was the occasional one but he wouldn’t notice it either, lost in his curls. sometimes the prep team missed them too but for the 75th games they found and recolored all of them.
in district thirteen, he had more gray strands than ever before. it happened over the course of the first few months, and by the time the other victors were rescued and brought back, he had some very clear grays. he spends long periods staring into the mirrors that d13 has, but his eyes can hardly focus on himself. when they do, he can’t help but think that he’s not beautiful, that there’s so many things wrong, and that there’s no one to fix it. on a good day, he’s happy to not resemble the capitol posters of him. on a bad day, he’s horrified by himself and his inability to have kept himself together.
we all know that finnick is the best person to cheer you up, but when he need ur support, you give him all you have ! he, with his head on the reader's chest, his eyelids almost completely covering his eyes, enjoying the fingers gently tugging at his sun-kissed curls. wrinkles appear on his forehead as the tender movements stop and he can't help but wonder what happened. he is so terrified when he hears that the reader has discovered a gray strand ): his heart melts right there at the sweet, soothing words that those 'imperfections' only make him more perfect <3

Finnicks the kind of guy to go out swimming first thing each morning and come back to bed before youre even awake. but one time youre awake to greet him when he comes back and his hair is all damp

finnick would bring the topic up and it's a spur-of-the moment thing. you giggle as he holds your swimsuit hostage, waiting for a kiss (you’re happy to oblige, its just nice to see him grin like a lovesick puppy.)
he takes your hand in his and leads you down to the beachfront. finnick sets your towels on the sand and is the first one in the water, which you had expected from someone who spends every waking moment in the ocean. he shakes his hair like a dog and carefully lifts you into his arms bridal style.
his ankles are submerged in the water and you cling onto him for dear life, warning that you’ll never speak to him again if he drops you. he lets his arms go slack for a few moments just to get a reaction out of you.
eventually, the two of you are waist-high in the water and he’s wrapping his arms around your waist, softly peppering your face with kisses before tenderly pressing his lips against your own.
you’re exhausted from swimming by the end of the night and finnick carrys you home <33

finnick’s definitely a sucker for honeymoon sex. he calls you ‘my wife’ or ‘mrs odair’ and constantly praises you, telling you how well you're doing and how good you feel. there's also a lot of i love you's and the aftercare is just out of this world.
regardless of where you go for your honeymoon, it's going to be very romantic; rose petals on the balcony, breakfast in bed, soft kisses as he coaxes you awake.
