༄ Uzui Tengen SFW Alphabet

Uzui Tengen (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba) X Gn!Reader

➸ 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: Language

A = Affection (How affectionate are they? How do they show affection?) Tengen is less affectionate than the other Hashira in terms of the "normal" way of showing it, but he does still show it, just in different ways. He mostly shows his affection through random acts of service seeing as he has more trouble talking than just expressing it other ways. There are times where he will express through words though

B = Best Friend (what would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?) Tengen as a best friend would be so fucking chaotic, competitions on who can kill the most demons on a mission, him teasing the hell out of you constantly, and much more. The friendship would probably start with either you talking to him first or catching his eye on how flashy you are fighting demons

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?) Tengen claims to never have time for cuddling but that doesn't mean he won't cuddle before sleeping every night. He is as stiff as a board laying on his back with you on top of him, your head on his chest hearing his heartbeat as one or both of his arms are wrapped around you securely to make sure you don't end up leaving randomly

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?) Tengen would love to settle down with you and leave the Demon Slayer Corps so he could finally live a normal life instead of a shinobi or demon slayer, he prays for a moment where he can find the perfect time to escape it all. He's pretty good at cleaning thanks to his height and muscular build but never ask this man to cook, ever. He will burn everything possible or serve it straight up raw. He's given you food poisoning once.

E = Ending (If they had to break with their partner, how would they do it?) Tengen would try and end it the fastest way possible and no beating around the bush whatsoever. He'd probably end up just saying it with no hesitation, giving a genuine explanation but with a blank face but it's evident in his eyes he is upset about it still.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?) Tengen is very quick on commitment once realizing you won't leave him and that you are stronger than appearing to be. He would be quick on wanting to get married too so that he knows it's official and that everyone else will know that you're his and he's yours.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?) Tengen in general is not a gentle man most of the time, especially emotionally. He's more gentle physically because of course he's double your size most likely and knows he can seriously hurt you if he's not careful but when it comes to emotions he is so dense it's not even funny. You could be crying about something and his first instinct is asking who he has to kill, not to comfort you 😭

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?) Tengen enjoys hugs a lot because he can fully envelop you in his arms and it makes him feel all warm inside. He doesn't hug often though, usually before leaving to go on a mission or coming back from one or if you're cooking he will back hug you (i want him). Tengen's hugs are so warm and calming because his whole body is able to wrap around you and he usually stays there for a while.

I = I Love You (How fast do they say the L-word?) Tengen would probably say it after about 5-6 months of dating you if not sooner, mostly because it takes him a hot minute to process if he's actually in love or just thinks you're hot and helpful for him. When he does realize he will say it at the most random time, probably when eating which makes you accidentally choke on your food and he has to help

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when their jealous?) Tengen gets jealous very easily, literally any man can be talking to you, even a Hashira and he would step in and wrap his arm around your shoulders all like "what's going on here, sweetheart?" he emphasizes the last word so that the guy understands you're his partner. If it's one of the Hashira he will still react the same it doesn't matter which one it is. He's also the type to kiss you in front of whoever is flirting with you just to show them you two are together

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?) Tengen's kisses are surprisingly soft and sweet, and he's very slow when doing it too, taking his time. He likes kissing you on the top of your head/forehead because of the height difference or the inside of your wrist. Tengen likes to be kissed anywhere, it literally doesn't matter he just loves feeling your lips on his skin

L = Little Ones (How are they around children, how do they feel about having kids, etc) We've seen how Tengen is around the Kamado squad so tbh I don't think he'd be very good around kids 😭. He sees them as annoying little terrors and doesn't want them in the future but of course wouldn't be against having a mini him running around

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?) Mornings with Tengen are just fucking amazing, he is softer than he usually is when he's tired and the mornings are when he is the most. He enjoys sleeping in and would rather lay in bed with you for an extra hour or two than get up and start doing things. He'll hang over your shoulder the whole time when you do eventually get up and start making breakfast and he'll rest his chin on your shoulder or head with his arms wrapped around you with him mumbling out incoherent loving words

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?) Nights with Tengen are pretty much the same as the mornings because of how exhausted he always is after a day of being a Hashira and fighting demons. He'll come home and immediately hug you for a while and sometimes might even skip dinner just so he can rest on the bed beside you. It does take a while for Tengen to fall asleep and he usually will talk about his day with you, even if you're already asleep until he eventually does go to sleep while cuddling you

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?) It takes a while for Tengen to start opening up about his past and family life, he sees it as something that people are often scared by seeing as he started as a shinobi and ended up a demon slayer but after a few months he will start telling you everything

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?) Tengen is pretty calm most of the time but if someone struck a nerve it's easy to get him pissed off, especially if someone is talking shit about you, then he'll get mad super easily and you'll probably have to hold him back from killing someone

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?) Tengen remembers almost everything about you, no matter how tired he is or how much info you're spilling to him, he will remember pretty much all of it. It's kinda scary honestly how much he remembers even if it's the tiniest shit ever

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?) Tengen's favorite moment in your relationship is when you both first said I love you to each other, he thought even though nothing special was happening he sees it as a very special moment because it was when he knew he wanted to be with you forever

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?) Tengen is extremely protective over you, especially because of the size difference between you two he is like your personal knight in shining armor. He protects you either in the most simple not noticeable ways like making sure he's closest to the road in case of a cart coming by and hitting you to literally pulling one of his swords on a human or demon. Tengen will say he doesn't need protection but he needs it emotionally, just for you to protect him from his own thoughts and feelings

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, and everyday tasks?) Tengen puts a lot of work into dates and everything imaginable even if it seems like he did little to no effort whatsoever. He especially puts more effort into anniversaries because he knows how special they are and how much they mean, most of the time he'll arrange a big dinner with presents he bought you with some little decorations he hung up (they aren't straight nor even but it's ok he tried 🫶)

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?) Tengen talks with his mouth full of food, half of the time you can't understand what he's even saying and it's gross tbh 😭

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?) Tengen knows he's hot shit, so he's not concerned with how he looks at all, plus, if he was able to pull you that must mean he has at least some good looks about him

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?) Tengen would claim that he doesn't but in reality he does, he thinks it's the weirdest thing ever but he can't help but feel it anyways

X = Xtra (A random headcannon for them) Tengen smells really good, like idk he just has a really nice comforting smell 🤷‍♂️

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn't like, either in general or in a partner?)

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habit of theirs?) Tengen snores, loud as fuck too, it's honestly annoying sometimes and you want to suffocate him with a pillow but his arms tightly wrapped around you make you unable to do anything sadly

The Hashira’s Favourite Hugs

Happy Valentines day everyone! Enjoy some lovin from your favourite Hashira ^^

Mitsuri Kanroji

Mmmm

Prepare to be swept off your feet (literally)

Approaching our very own love Hashira and requesting a hug will be met with the same excitement no matter what

“Huh? Do you want a hug? Of course! Come here sweetie, let me hold you for a bit!”

She will be SO HAPPY if you asked ^^

Mitsuri may squeeze you a little, but never too much

Her goal is to get you as close to her as possible, no gap spared between you two

She’s honestly one of the best huggers here

Depending on your height, she’ll either prop her chin on either your head or shoulder

She’s a little warm from her flustering, but still enthusiastic nonetheless

If your head is tucked away, she’ll focus on swaying you both side to side in a rocking motion

Almost as if you two were dancing

But if you face is out in the open, Mitsuri will not waste a second before peppering your entire face in kisses

She tries her best to make you feel loved

Mitsuri absolutely adores hugs so she’ll never turn you down

She likes cooing about how much she loves you while the two of you hold each other

“Oh you make my heart skip a beat! I love you so much!!!”

Compliments will not be held back here, Mitsuri will go above and beyond

SHE MEANS EVERY SINGLE ONE, DONT YOU DARE DOUBT YOURSELF

But even the love Hashira has a favourite hug

Mitsuri was once gone for more than a week on some business that she had to attend to

You missed her terribly, and you grew more worried as time passed by

While lounging in your shared bedroom, you heard the door open and close as your love cheered “Honey, I’m home!”

You sprinted across the house, found Mitsuri and leapt into her arms, yours pulling her in by her neck

Seizing momentum while she had it, Mitsuri spun the two of you around while you were still in the air

But when the two of you had spun enough and she tried to put you down, she realized that your legs were around her waist

You were almost clinging onto her like a koala, and something inside of her melted

She was internally squealing at how affectionate you were :)

Mitsuri’s favourite hugs are ones where she can use her strength, often by lifting you up into her arms

“Sweetie it’s late, let me carry you to bed, okay?”

It just makes her feel strong and cherished

Would absolutely carry you around like this all the time if you let her

Obanai Iguro

He acts like he hates them

Do not underestimate him and the complete unadulterated adoration he has for you and the few people he lets near his heart

Obanai is just not used to that kind of thing, and it really stresses him out

If you asked him for a hug he would just shoot you a critical stare before groaning out an "Ughhh, fine. Come here"

You would be doing all the work here

Even if you have both your arms wrapped around him, your head resting on his shoulder, he still won't move

Obanai is really stiff about it

If you're lucky, he'll MAYBE pat your back unenthusiastically

Truth be told, Obanai doesn't let people touch him often so he wouldn't have much experience in it by far

Now if you ASKED him what is favourite hug is, he would say the side squeeze he gives you in public

Obanai can get overprotective easily, but he doesn't like showing it

He rarely misunderstands when someone is just being nice or affectionate in a platonic manner and when someone is actually hitting on you

If he sees someone making moves on you or just making you uncomfortable in general, he will glide over there and put his hand in your back pocket

Effectively pulling you into a very tense side hug

Obanai wouldn't say anything, but his main line of protection is his very judgmental look at his target

He wants you to believe that he's tough and all, that guarding you from danger is his greatest joy

But Obanai is really soft

His actual favourite hugs are what he refers to as "Sweater Time"

If you have larger sweaters than he does, he will pull the bottom hem of it up for a minute and pull it over his head

If he's taller than you then he just tucks you underneath the hem of his

Basically the two of you are wearing the same, spacious sweater

He's close enough that just fitting into it doesn't make you feel like you need to wrap your arms around him

But Obanai might pull you in if he just really needs your touch

He absolutely loves holding your face and resting his forehead on yours, absentmindedly tracing your jaw

Takes the opportunity to look into your eyes but Obanai doesn’t hold eye contact for long

Tengen Uzui

Ohohoho

You’re in for a ride, that’s for sure

If you ask Tengen for a hug, he’s gonna be so snarky about it

He’ll make you confirm it like 5 times

“Hmm? You want a hug from the God of Festivals? Ahhh, of course, anyone would want to be in my arms! Come closer and claim you prize from yours truly~”

Tengen will motion you towards him, hinting to put your arms around him

Most of the time he’ll tease you about it, but sometimes Tengen will just flash a smile and pull you in

He’s pretty strong so his hugs are pretty tight by default

You can smell a hint of the cologne he uses, which is never too strong in the first place

Loves pressing you in by the small of your back, he can’t explain why though

Tengen’s hands just gravitate there, no lower or higher

Even when you two are already hugging, Tengen will not be able to resist teasing you

He is RELENTLESS about it too

Even if Tengen gets annoying with how affectionate you can be, he doesn't really mean it

Because every now and then, he just needs you there with him for a bit

It doesn't happen often but Tengen does have nights where he just can't sleep

You wouldn't know if its stress, repetitive thoughts or nightmares simply because he refuses to tell you

When he just lies there in the early hours of the morning, he'll carefully drag whoever is nearest towards him

This particular instance, you barely stirred awake as Tengen lifted your body to lie atop of his

Sensing your arousal from slumber, Tengen already hushes you back to sleep

"It's okay baby," he coos. "Just needed you a little closer. Get some rest"

If you happen to stay awake, he'll continue his attempts to get you to fall asleep again as he would honestly prefer for you to stay asleep when he's like this

Because when Tengen feels the worst of himself haunt his thoughts with all the memories and pain that he carries everywhere, nothing soothes him more than you pulling him closer whilst dreaming

This unconscious "I love you" of yours never fails to bring a sad smile and a few tears of love rolling down his cheeks

Pulls you even closer as he feels joy spread throughout his chest like fireworks

Yes, this is his favourite, and he will reward your efforts with forehead kisses and gently stroking your spine

Sanemi Shinazugawa

Either he has rabies or he just snarled at you

“Why the fuck are your arms like that? Are you looking for a fight?”

If you ask Sanemi for a hug, expect some backlash

See, all you wanted was some affection and somehow he's looking at you like you have two heads or something

"No you jerk, I just want a hug..."

Sanemi is pretty circumstantial with hugs, but he's not like Obanai where he's hiding how soft he really is

In reality, he would prefer that you got a hug from someone else

"Isn't it Mitsuri's day off? She should be in the garden at Shinobu's place"

Due to his workaholic nature, Sanemi doesn't think that he would be the best person for when you want affection

And its not because he hates affection nor does he find you annoying

Sanemi just think that because he's sweaty, covered in a bit of blood and is exhausted beyond belief, that maybe someone else's hug may bring more comfort than he could

But if there's no one else around...

"Mitsuri took a trip to a resort in the mountains, and you're already here"

With a roll of his eyes, Sanemi will acquiesce

"Get over here, you dork"

I will advise you however, that hug will not last more than three seconds

He will be firm in the hug, and maybe he'll give you a few pats on the back, but that's all you're getting

"There, now no more distractions. I've got some unfinished buisness..."

He will immediately turn away and go back to whatever he was doing

Honestly, he's trying to hide how (minorly) flustered he is by your sudden request for affection, but it's not surprising enough for him to let up a little on his unspoken self-consciousness

No, that would take at least a decade of attempts to make any progress

Just take his huffiness with a bit of grace; Sanemi just isn't the best person to go to when you want a hug

But if you come to him with tears dribbling down your cheeks, and a pained expression on your face

If you come to him with opened arms and a few sobs choked in your throat

If you push aside your dignity to allow Sanemi to see you at your worst, and a look in your eyes that shows that he's the only one who can alleviate the pain

"I've got you, I'm not going anywhere. I've got you"

He won't hesitate to immediately pull you in

There's something in the way you hold onto him that makes him believe that maybe, just maybe, he's not as bad as he thought

Hugs like these are his favourite, when he can push out his insecurities and hug you just for the sake of hugging you

Yeah, he's no good for hugging you when you want it

But he's perfect at it when you need it

Shinobu Kocho

She’s kinda iffy with them, but she does have her own preferences

If you approach Shinobu and you ask for a hug, she’ll open her arms to you and motion you toward her

“Oh my, my dear do you need a hug? No need to worry Angel, I’m right here”

She’s definitely shorter than you so she’ll normally press her face into your chest while the two of you embrace

Shinobu likes listening to your heartbeat, and sometimes seizes the opportunity to check your health

Usually she does it because she finds it soothing

Other times, Shinobu just worries even if she knows she has no reason to

Believe it or not but she doesn’t like being held

Shinobu will never breathe a word of it, especially if you’re really affectionate

Would never ask you to stop, she just wouldn’t go out of her way to ask you to hold her

You would think after learning this that Shinobu just doesn’t like physical affection

While cooking some dinner for the two of you, your mind will start to wander about Shinobu

She spends so much time studying medicine that you hardly saw her all day today

You missed her dearly

But then you feel two arms snake around your waist, and someone pressing into your back

The smell of wisteria and rubbing alcohol wafting around you

Yes, it’s true that Shinobu doesn’t like being held

But she LOVES holding you close

In bed she’s the big spoon, she hangs onto you when you share showers, her arms will wrap around your neck when she checks up on you working at your desk

But right now?

You cooking and talking about your day, while she hums along?

Feeling you relax into her touch as she hops up on her toes to press her forehead into your neck?

Yes, this is Shinobu’s favourite

There is no place she would rather be

Shinobu is the type of person where she just loves existing in the same space as you, but with her chest pressed against your back

Overall, back hugs enthusiast

Kyojuro Rengoku

CUDDLE MANNNN

Look me in my eyes and tell me that he isn’t the best hugger here

If you ask Kyojuro for a hug, he would be so honoured to give you one

“But of course my love! Please allow me to give you a proper embrace!”

He’s so soft and warm you could melt away

Depending on how you are when you asked, he will either ask you about your day or stay very quiet for you

Our sunshine boy can brighten even the stormiest days

Kyojuro’s very versatile with affection, so if he knows you have a preference he will heed to it at once

Head scratches, back rubs, shoulder pats, you name it

He’ll do it all for you

If it’s possible in the moment, he will give you a loving kiss on the forehead

With how affectionate Kyojuro is, you would think maybe he doesn’t have a favourite hug but that’s not true

“My love! I have finished my project, sit down with me so I may share it with you!”

You had just came back from the kitchen with two cups of tea, setting them on the coffee table

Kyojuro sat on the floor with his legs crossed, arms open and motioning you towards him

Initially you were confused with how close you stood near him, but Kyojuro still hurriedly motioned you towards him

He softly held onto your hips, turning you away from him, and pulled you down so you sat on the floor with him

You were basically sitting in Kyojuro’s lap

He had one arm around your waist, using the other hand to pull the box he was working on for the past couple weeks across the table towards the both of you

It was a time capsule of various items and mementos of time spent with you and his friends

Although the two of you were reminiscing on the memories made , Kyojuro’s focus lied in how comfortable you were to hold in his lap

He fantasizes of turning you around to face him so he could be all romantic and look into your eyes

But yes, Kyojuro’s favourite hugs are the ones where you are seated in his lap

If you want to hug him as well, Kyojuro will spin you around so you can cuddle all you’d like :)

Big or small, he can handle you no problem

Don’t ever worry about being too heavy ^^

Giyu Tomioka

Also iffy but for different reasons

To be completely honest Giyu has no idea what he’s doing

And he doesn’t know if he should tell you

The last thing he would want is to come off as unapproachable (even if he’s aware that most of his peers don’t like him)

If you ask Giyu for a hug, he’ll just nod and open his arms slightly

When you close in on the hug though, his arms aren’t even touching you

They just stay there… hovering…

Good grief help this man

“Giyu, what are you doing…” “Hugging you?” He mumbled

HE DOESN’T EVEN SOUND SURE

There’s no way around it, you have to show him how it’s done

“Let me show you Giyu, put your arms like this-“

He’s still learning so please be patient with him

Even after you two practice a couple times, he’s still awkward about it

Very light grip on his end, he feels like if he were to actually put pressure in his hugging it might disturb you somehow

Like what if he's hugging too tight? What if you want to escape his hold earlier than you thought??? What if he's doing this wrong?????

After you two have hugged in a couple other ways, he starts developing preferences

For an example, he likes draping his arms on your shoulders in a way that they fall down your back

Giyu feels like he’s not bothering you too much this way, and it’s natural enough for him to not overthink it

His first natural instinct isn’t usually physical affection, and Giyu wouldn’t even be able to firmly place what his favourite hug would be due to his lack of experience

But one time you greeted him after he came back from a particularly rough mission

Idk he was just standing in the middle of his yard looking lost and worn out

You tried to talk to him but he was unresponsive, so you just pulled him in

His arms still rested at his sides but from the way that his chin rested on your shoulder, you couldn't have seen it but there was a twinkle in his eye

When you pulled away with a smile and bade him goodbye, you genuinely restored something in him

This is Giyu's favourite hug; ones where you just hold him close without an expectation that he has to reciprocate something

Next time you saw him seated at his desk and writing in his journal you noticed it

You almost missed it but it was most definitely there

A tiny smile was on his face as he printed his thoughts onto the paper

Gyomei Himejima

You wouldn’t notice right away, but he’s actually awkward with hugs

This gentle giant is so huge and you’re so small in comparison he doesn’t know what to do

So if you ask Gyomei for a hug, you're gonna have to be more specific

"You want a hug? Of course. May you please elaborate on your preferences?"

Boundaries are very important to Gyomei

He would prefer if you could have a discussion before you need a hug where you list the things you are and are not okay with when it comes to touch

But if neither of you have had that discussion, just describe what you need from this specific case and that'll suffice for Gyomei

Once that's done, Gyomei will only then allow you to wrap your arms around him

The most common tendencies he tends to gravitate to is petting your head and rubbing your back gently

I will warn you that unless you specify that you don't like getting picked up, Gyomei may unintentionally lift you off the ground by a couple inches

Honestly, he forgot how huge he is and he thought you were taller

If you want to return some level of affection to Gyomei, I would suggest singing some praises for him or making generally happy noises :)

He particularly likes it if you coo a small "Dawwwwwww" or let out a pleased hum, it just pulls a wide grin out of him

When you two eventually pull away, he will without a doubt rustle your hair or pat your head

"Are you feeling better? I'm always here for you, remember that"

His biggest priority whilst showing you affection is ensuring that he leaves you in a better state than he found you

Be it physically, mentally, or emotionally, Gyomei will always be ready to take care of you

Even if he's oddly stiff about it

You see, Gyomei is hyperaware of his size and it sometimes conflicts with his confidence in coming off as passive and kind

It's really hard to be perceived as non-threatening when you're 7'2 and one of the strongest Hashira

So he tries to establish boundaries with you not just to respect you and ensure he's not crossing any lines, but also to make him feel safe and comfortable in being affectionate with you

I will add however, Gyomei doesn't have any physical boundaries with you (except killing another living thing without full disclosure)

So imagine his surprise when you ask if you can try lifting him

"You can certainly try- ouf!"

He was interrupted with your efforts to pick him up

Regardless if you manage to get him an inch off the ground, your determination still has him flustered

Gyomei finds your strength and playfulness endearing, letting a soft chuckle at your smaller stature trying to lift his gigantic self

But he'll heartily tell you to put him down before you start to over exert yourself

Gyomei will hold onto you for a little longer in thanks though :)

Because Gyomei's favourite hugs are the ones that make him feel small and cared for, rather than large and nurturing

He appreciates how you remind him of that side of him

Muichiro Tokito (Platonic)

Muichiro needs a good measure of caution if you're going to be affectionate with him

Initially most people would think that it's because you would have to try a couple times to get his attention with the amount of times that he spaces out

But honestly, if you hug him without warning he gets scared

If you ever did pull him into your arms whilst his mind was elsewhere, you can see Muichiro start to panic

He won't say anything about it, just standing very very still

But Muichiro is visibly uncomfortable

I mean think about it, imagine how startling it could be if you were just minding your own business and out of nowhere, someone's in your personal bubble

It makes Muichiro feel like he missed out on something important :/

His shoulders will be shaking as he looks around the person who's hugging him, trying to gauge what kind of situation he's in and what would be the appropriate reaction

Muichiro doesn't really like hugs in general so I wouldn't recommend hugging him in the first place

If anything, Muichiro feels bad because everyone just assumes that because he's a kid that he likes hugs and being coddled

So if you ask him for a hug, he'll politely turn you down

"A hug? Sorry, I'm not a hugger..."

He really doesn't mean it maliciously so please don't hold any hard feelings about it

It's only a personal boundary, he just hopes that you'll respect it

If you want to be affectionate with him, then I would suggest handshakes :)

But I will also raise that there may be a time where Muichiro may want to give you a hug

It's usually when someone accomplishes some kind of feat, and Muichiro just feels really proud of them

So his favourite hugs are the ones that he initiates (usually out of pride)

Muichiro will always do it with his arms wrapped around your waist and pressing his face into your middle

Standing in the door frame, the dark silhouette seemed familiar to you. You couldn't make out their face due to your doorway being so dark. Though, when they— or rather He stepped into the light you were shocked. It felt as if your lungs had collapsed.

Your eyes widened as you staggered backwards. Mouth a gaping as your words were lost.

Its not possible, is it? For someone to return— nonetheless with a different appearance?! Maybe you were still grieving? Maybe this was the 'denial' stage of grief? Your husband from the dead.. is now standing in your doorway.

"Don't look at me like that Y/n— Aren't you glad Im back Beloved?" The voice you hadn't heard for weeks comments.

You didn't know what to do..Why is he back? He walked in like he'd never been gone and shut the door behind him. "Beloved? Whats wrong?"

"You—", you stuttered. The sweet face you'd fallen for. His fair skin, now tainted with thick blue markings on his face. His short wavy hair now pink. Those yellow eyes, pink eyelashes throwing you for a loop.

"Hm?" His pink brow raised in confusion to your cut-short sentence.

He takes quick strides to get to you as you stood speechless. His blue fingers reach out to your pulling them up to his lips.

"You okay Y/n?" He bends down a bit to get eye-level with you; as he was taller than you.

"Hakuji—", you hic.

Almost losing your balance, your knees buckle causing you to almost fall. Your husband catching you by the waist, "Woah easy there Y/n!" ,he chortles.

'He's real..He's actually real— I can feel his touch', you think to yourself.

Your hands shaking, feeling his arms, and up his biceps. Hakuji raises a brow, staring at you with confusion. "Hakuji, you're real?"

"Mmm...yes?" He chuckles.

Happy, no...elated your deceased Husband was before you— You'd tackled him to the ground on accident. Your tight hold around him rough you could choke him back to death.

"Y/n, hon?" You eyes and nose running, causing his clothes to be drenched. "Hakuji, I'm really hoping– I'm praying I'm not drunk or you're not a ghost right now."

His arms comforting you, gently rubbing your back. "No honey, I promise I am 100% real. Just a little...different. I hope you aren't disappointed."

"No..I'm happy, So happy."

Akaza smiles,"Im sorry I left you for so long beautiful." He pulls you out of the hug, and looks at you. Seeing your pretty face every morning really made everyday worth living. His fingers wiping away your tears, sharp nails grazing your skin.

"I-It's okay, I'm so glad you're back", you whine.

His eyes..Something so different, yet still the same loving glaze. His eyes..now yellow instead of blue. The marks on his skin, patterns that were new to you. You would look at the marks on his arm, and trance your finger along them.

"Hakuji.."

He gazes at you, humming in response. "Why..why did you come back."

Hakuji's eyes look to the side now, almost as if he tries to think of something to say.

"I was given a second chance..", he admits standing up. Aswell as helping you to your feet. "Start this second chance with me?" He finishes.

"Hakuji, of course." You'd say without thinking, you didn't want to be away from your beloved. Especially after You'd just got him back.

Hakuji walks over to the kitchen counter before picking up your wedding ring. Remembering since you'd technically been widowed there'd been no reason to wear it.

"Honey?" You questioned. Hakuji, returning back to your side. He took your hand sliding the ring on your finger. Just like the day you two became one.

Pulling you in, he held his arm around your waist and the other locking fingers with yours that held the ring.

"Y/n, my sweet and beautiful Y/n..", he mumbled pulling you into a longing kiss. You'd submit complete and immediately almost forgetting what his kisses felt like. Sugary, strong..he was confident~ and so sexy.

When he pulls away he cups your cheek, whispering to you. "Let's do this again hm? But, better this time."

He lures you into a tight hug,"Yes." You say, melting into his arms. There was a silence before he speaks up again.

"Right...before I forget"

"Yes?"

"Just so you dont get confused why others call me something different.."

Hakuji looks at you once more, smiling, ear-to-ear fangs showing. Grazing his bottom lip–

"My name is Akaza darling."

Tengen is such a fucking drama queen and an attention whore.

I mean he doesn't admit it but still.

To be fair, at least he has three other spouses, but if you were on a long mission, he's all over you when you get back.

He doesn't get needy often although, after long missions is when it's the most obvious.

Tengen knows you two must do this but after worrying about you Tengen just needs some time to wind down.

It's even worse if you have to write a sort of report for Kagaya about what happened on the mission.

While you work he has to sit and watch from the sidelines to avoid having you mess up.

Laying on the floor only a few feet away, waiting for you to finish. You began to feel a pair of eyes piercing you his back making it difficult to focus, after only a few minutes of enduring your boyfriend’s gaze you signed and set your pen down.

“Tengen, darling, would you like to cuddle? What I have left can wait.” you asked looking back, only to see Tengen’s face light up as he moved over and captured you into an embrace. A light chuckle left your lips as you returned his hug.

I don't personally see Rengoku as someone who’s clingy very often.

Mainly because he's fairly patient if you're working. He knows what you're doing is important and would rather not mess you up.

To be fair, Rengoku has his days as anyone does.

When those days hit he can't help but walk over to you and drape his arms over your shoulders, leaning his head onto yours.

It's just so relaxing for him. You can do your work and he can be close and hug you without messing you up too much.

If he manages to accidentally mess you up he apologizes and lets go of you for a bit, still close but not on you like he practically was before.

He just enjoys the feeling of you holding him in your arms after a long day of work

Upon coming home he was almost saddened to see you working at your desk yet again. “Up late working yet again, huh?” Kyojuro says and he walks over to see what has you up this time. “You shouldn't be overworking yourself like this Darling.” he placed his hand on your back, beginning to rub circles into you back to help ease some tension.

As you look up at him, you can't help but smile at him, “Yes I know but sadly this has to be finished in two days.” you start, “I'm almost done with this page when I'm finished I’ll join you in bed, okay?” He frowns at your words but sadly understands. As he walks over to the bed he can't help but crave your touch after a long day of work.

Once you finally finish and clean up, his face lights up. He can't help the grin that spreads across his face when you sit on the bed and welcome him into a warm embrace, whispering sweet nothings into his ear.

The Hashira and their Sense of Humor

Apologies for the hiatus! A lot has happened over the last couple of months and I'm finally getting some of them (somewhat) resolved through therapy and A LOT of patience with myself. So here's a post that I written back in October that brings me so much joy! Thank you all for your patience ^^

Mitsuri Kanroji

You know those types of people who want to tell you a really funny story but they need to stop laughing first?

And they've been laughing for the past fifteen minutes?

Yeah that's Mitsuri

I'm not entirely sure what to categorize this either than comedic storytelling

She could probably be a standup comedian too, she has some good stories to tell

But Mitsuri is really in her element when when someone else is telling a mildly amusing story

She will just keep adding onto it to somehow make it even more funnier than it was originally intended

Misturi could make an inside joke between you guys too, she is the designated funny friend of the Hashira

I also feel like she sometimes makes self-deprecating jokes, but not on any serious topics

Like she enjoys poking fun at the fact that she's still single

For an example, Mitsuri and Shinobu could be making an order at a restaurant for lunch

By the time Mitsuri finishes her first round of food and hands the dishes to the waiter, she accidentally drops them causing all the plates and bowls to shatter all over the floor

She tries to help clean up but the staff insists that she shouldn't worry about it

Sitting back down with Shinobu, cheeks red from embarrassment, Mitsuri will crack an awkward smile and say "Yeah, this is why I'm still single!"

Obanai Iguro

Obanai is the most sarcastic motherfucker on this list

I feel like his number one policy is "Don't ask me stupid questions"

He's already annoyed like 70% of the time, just don't annoy him even more

But then again...

"Hey Obanai, did you lose this?" "No I was just playing hide and seek with an inanimate object for fun, YES I fucking dropped it"

"You look really tired, are you doing okay?" "Hell yeah, nothing says healthy like eye bags as dark as my hair"

"Can I pet your snake?" "Yeah you just gotta let him nibble you first but don't worry, he's only venomous"

Usually he's kinda rude about it but he does have his nice moments

"Hey Obanai, can you pass me that?" Obanai will just say no but hand and just hand it to you anyways

Some people just don't understand sarcasm all the time and that's when he kinda runs into some trouble

Obanai and Kyojuro were walking to a meeting together, but Obanai had forgotten his jacket AND haori

It was quite chilly outside too, so poor Obanai was shivering while trying to keep Kaburamaru warm

Kyojuro asked Obanai "My friend, winter is coming! Aren't you cold?"

Obanai deadpanned and said "Of course not, I'm just practicing my acting. Glad to see that my shivering is that convincing"

"How interesting! Maybe you should audition for a play at the theatre!"

Obanai's annoyance kept him warm for the rest of the day

Tengen Uzui

Quite an obvious statement, but Tengen’s humor mainly comprises of sex jokes and innuendos

The man has three wives, of course he would find that shit funny

Like he will be in the middle of a meeting, and everyone will line up to receive some gifts from Kagaya

He will say "Come in a straight line, my students"

Tengen will chuckle and say "That's what she said"

Tengen is also the type to be "gay with the homies" and loves to embarrass Sanemi and Obanai by making jokes about being in love or hooking up with them

He chooses specifically those two because it felt awkward to make the jokes to Gyomei

Tengen once spent forty-five minutes explaining to Kyojuro that he didn't actually want to buy him dinner after Kyojuro gave him a genuinely offended look to the highest degree

"How deceitful of you, Tengen"

He pretty much wrote off saying jokes like that to Kyojuro following that incident, but he really can't help himself sometimes

I don't think that Tengen solely has generic innuendos he uses on everyone, he likes testing what SPECIFIC category of sex jokes makes people uncomfortable

Like if Giyu goes to the bathroom, Tengen will saunter up with a finger gun on his chin and ask "Pissing all by yourself, handsome?"

Everyone is throwing their shoes at him

Sanemi Shinazugawa

Of course this sadistic bastard likes slapstick, what we’re you thinking?

He may be good at holding in a laugh, but you can still see that stupid smirk on his face if anyone stumbles

One time Tengen's six foot ass fell face first while running late to a meeting

Sanemi actually struggled to keep his composure that day, he had to bite his lips together to hide the uncontrollable grin on his face

People getting smacked upside the head, tripping others, people getting violently angry, Sanemi loves it all

He refuses to admit that Zenitsu is funny

Now a regular civilian is one thing, but children getting roughed up is another

there was a particular incident where Sanemi had come across some kids swinging on a tree branch near a market he occasionally visited

This week ass branch definitely didn't have the strength to hold up any of those kids

So Sanemi did what any sane person would, and stuck around to watch this disaster happen

Well unfortunately for this one child, the branch snapped mid-swing and fell right on their face

And there was Sanemi, a hand over his stomach from laughing at these dumb kids

He didn't even stop to help them or anything, just calmed down from laughing so hard and walked away to continue shopping

Shinobu Kocho

An absolute queen of insult humor

Even Sanemi can’t beat Shinobu at her best

Do you even think she would stick with the basic ass jokes? Of course not

She can be an absolute menace if she really wants to

Shinobu is just tired of everyone's shit, and she can get even more exhausted from putting on that smile nearly as much as Kyojuro

She just can't keep up

Which brings me to my main point, which is that Shinobu's funny side usually comes out in rants or vents with the people closest to her

She and Mitsuri both express their humor by storytelling, Shinobu's just originates more from anger an annoyance rather than an effort to be entertaining

Regardless of who Shinobu's around, everyone can tell that when she walks through the door with steam coming out of her ears, everyone's gonna be laughing their asses off

As anyone can agree if they've worked in any form of customer service, there are some days where you are so damn close to breaking your cool

When Tengen got placed in the Butterfly Estate's infirmary, Shinobu was actually going to kill a patient instead of saving them for once

Like this man was just demanding shit and teasing his friend left and right, and Aoi had never been so afraid of her mentor in her entire life

Aoi tried to calm her down, "Sticks and stones Shinobu, don't let him get to you!"

Tengen only snickered

Ooooo, she lost her shit

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but PLEASE. FUCK. OFF"

Angy Shinobu is best Shinobu

Kyojuro Rengoku

Look me in the eyes and tell me Kyojuro doesn’t like puns

I know you can't do it

He will howl with laughter nearly every time you tell him a pun

"Hey Kyo, you're never gonna believe it! Remember my friend with a bakery? Well it just burned down!"

At first he'll show genuine concern, politely shouting "How unfortunate!"

"Don't worry about it, his business is toast"

Give him a minute...

"Ahahaha! Good one!"

Not only does he like being told puns, but if he has a good opportunity to tell a well timed pun he will not stop giggling until he tells it

One time you, Tengen, Mitsuri, and Kyojuro were all trying to decide where to eat after a long day of work

At one point Tengen suggested hotpot, even offering to take you all to one that Makio and Suma liked

Kyojuro tried muffling his laughing, but his attention was redirected when you asked him what he thought of the idea

Finally able to cease his giggles, Kyojuro proudly shouted "SOUPER"

It doesn't matter if you find the joke funny or not, Kyojuro's laughter is so contagious that you're dying at the silly pun

What a fucking dork <3

Giyu Tomioka

If there was a form of comedy that’s applicable at any given moment, Giyu would use it on a daily basis

Luckily for him, Giyu discovered it very quicky and refuses to let the tactic go

That's right, Giyu is physically incapable of stopping himself from making a "your mom" joke

Everyone can blame Obanai for that one

Quite literally at any opportunity, Giyu will mutter the phrase under his breath

Unfortunately, because it has become such an unconscious thing for Giyu, this bad habit of his ends up kicking his ass at the worst of times

with all due respect to Giyu's efforts, it just makes him unintentionally funny

in an awkward way

Giyu visited one of his favourite restaurants on his day off, the waiter asked "Is there anything else you would like, sir?" after giving his order

Now Giyu didn't mean it, he really didn't

It just slipped out of his mouth so easily

"Your mom"

Let me tell you, the silence was absolutely deafening

After the two stared at each other in mutual confusion, Giyu just wordlessly left due to the sheer embarrassment and awkwardness he had caused

He tried to go back, truly, Giyu made the effort and walked through the door

But he made uncomfortable eye contact with that same waiter and walked out

He hasn't gone back to that restaurant since ;,)

Gyomei Himijima

I have already established in my Gyomei Headcannons post that Gyomei is the dad friend of the Hashira (go check out that post if you haven’t btw ^^)

So of course he's going to make dad jokes, everyone saw this coming

God forbid you ever complain around him, he will see it as an opportunity (usually)

"Man, I'm really hungry" Gyomei will hand you a bento box and say "Hi hungry, I'm prepared

He is THAT GUY that makes "I haven't seen you since last year!" jokes

Every single year without fail

Shockingly, Gyomei and Kyojuro will bond over their mutual love for super corny jokes

One time while training Genya, Gyomei asked him "Child, what is long and sticky?"

Genya paused his routine to think for a moment, slightly disturbed by the question

"I don't know what you- fresh mochi?" Gyomei shook his head

Genya made a claw gesture with his hands, knowing Gyomei couldn't see it

"No idea, what's long and sticky?"

Gyomei gave a small, sly smile before responding

"A stick, little one"

To be honest, Gyomei's jokes do annoy some of the Hashira whenever he makes them (mainly Shinobu, Obanai and Tengen)

Normally because he's so calm about it

Tengen usually is one to lose his temper over it though

"You really got a joke for about everything, huh?" "Indeed I do, Tengen. I even have one about construction"

Tengen's eye will twitch as he taunts Gyomei "Oh yeah? Well let's hear it then!"

"I'm afraid I can't, my friend. I'm still working on it"

Kyojuro's laugh echoes throughout the meeting as Tengen realizes he most definitely walked into that one

Muichiro Tokito

His sense of humor is weird

That’s all I have, anything that Muichiro finds funny is actually kinda strange

He does this thing where he will go in with a fistbump, but change it to a high five last second

Muichiro can do it the other way around too, but regardless it results in this silly fist-five thing that makes him chuckle

He's a little bit of a devious child so his sense of humor kinda comes from whatever will annoy the other Hashira

Sometimes he will sit in the middle of a meeting and just blow raspberries while spacing out a little

It annoys the fuck out of Sanemi and Obanai because Muichiro's spit gets EVERYWHERE

Even Giyu thinks that kid comes with his own splash zone

He's not one for pranks per say, but he likes reaping a bit of terror amongst the other Hashira

One time Muichiro stole Tengen's red eyeliner one weekend purely for entertainment

the next day when everyone showed up to the meeting, people got to witness a very distressed Tengen

Holding up Sanemi and Obanai midair by the collar of their shirts, Tengen interrogated the both of them where they hid his shockingly expensive liner

Of course no one would suspect the slobbering kid, who was inconspicuously blowing raspberries

Had anyone asked Muichiro if he saw Tengen's liner, Muichiro would turn to the fuming man and giggle

Secretly, Aoi is Muichiro's unknowing accomplice in these scenarios

"Here Aoi, could you hold this for a while?" "Uhh, sure? What is it for?" "Hmm? Oh nothing..."

Don't underestimate this little shit
