T-GNC
Trans-gender nonconforming
Refers to trans people who doesn’t adhere to societal pressures to conform to gender norms and roles
Being gnc in a trans way specifically : masc transfems and fem transmascs would be examples

So ive had this saved in my drafts for a while now- but theres a point id like to make about butch/femme identity and expression and think this is ready despite the crap i might catch for it
On my days off and when i go out for fun, lots of times i look like this vvv
Tumblr media
And other times, especially because im a blue collar dyke, i look like this vvv
Tumblr media
The thing that both these photos have in common is that, regardless of how i may appear, i am a femme lesbian. I am not magically butch at work just because i have to wear jeans and work boots for safety. On the clock I am often mistaken for a man and harassed for using the women’s bathroom, people call me sir and damn near keel over trying to correct themselves. I understand that people will look at me as masculine because im in a mans trade.
And yet im still a femme!
You know why? Because being femme is not about how i dress or how long my hair is or the job i work or the body im in, but who i am, how i love, and how i want to be loved back. Its my reclamation of my gender and sexuality and romantic life.
Theres this idea that femme lesbians are “the girl” lesbians and butches are “the boy” lesbians. Femmes are stereotyped as straight passing hyper feminine (and often times cis) girls. But if youve ever met a femme thats not always (in my experience- USUALLY) the case. We often are nonbinary (hi! Also me!) and/or gender nonconforming even in our femininity- taking the things that cishet society hates the most in women (ie body hair/body fat/masculine jobs/deep booming voices- etc) and owning those characteristics in ways that make us feel free and most like femmes 💕
I personally feel most comfortable being feminine off the clock and covering myself in glitter and being a tacky fat furry muppet because its how i feel best recognized by the butches i adore so much! But i get to reclaim womanhood or whatever adjacent, gender-fucked, lesbiany, thing ive got going on, and that doesn’t change when i wear jeans and work boots.
Femmes get to be whatever the hell we want- being broad shouldered and deep voiced and fat and furry and in a trade are not traits that magically make me incapable of being femme- and im over this whole ordeal where y’all assign butches and femmes as either “the boy” or “the girl” of the relationship and expect us to be exclusively feminine or masculine and never cross or mix- just recreating useless gender roles that we have zero reason to uphold.
(And this goes the absolute same for butches/studs who express feminine traits and DOUBLE for trans butches/studs/femmes)

I think such a big reason my trans manhood feels almost... bigendered is simply because in the eyes of most people (specifically cis people with whom I interact with most), I straddle this weird line wherein I am a man and often am seen as one, but I am also clearly undefinable insofar as cis theory goes, clearly queer, clearly outside of manhood if one only accepts cishet, patriarchal manhood. This definitely used to be a source of dysphoria for me, but I think now that I've transitioned, it's been interesting to explore this more. Am I wholly a man? Yes. Am I a man of multitudes? Yes. Do these multitudes contradict? Well, that depends on your definition of "contradiction"

It always pisses me off when gendies use bisexual supremacy as a way to say that everyone feels attracted to both sexes and that what actual same-sex attraction is just "gender" based attraction.
Like genital preference? Literally only bisexuals have that. Homosexuals have a requirement, not a preference. Lesbians can not like penis. A lesbian is a same sex attracted female. Gay men can not "prefer" vulva because then they are not gay!
"Gender" based attraction? Literally only bisexuals can like feminine women and feminine men only based on their femininity. The only "gender" lesbians can like are the ones who are female, masculine or feminine or androgynous. Does not matter, she just has to be female. There is no "gender based attraction" for homosexuals.
"Vagina fetishest" Literally bashing lesbians for being lesbians. A sexual body part can not be a fetish. A fetish is literally attraction to a nonsexual object or thing. Like a foot fetish, a foot is a nonsexual body part. And they never do this to bisexuals. They never call them genital fetishists.
It does not matter when, or how, or why. If you are not bisexual in some way, you are a bigot.
I just hope they leave us tf alone.

General psa to not just go for natural supplements claiming to boost testosterone or estrogen without looking into whats in it and what the ingredients actually do, because a lot of them will just boost LH and increase the more predominant hormone in your body or depend on what gonads you have. Im not sure how it would vary for different intersex conditions but unless its a drug that actually increases estrogen or testosterone or progesterone etc. (or is straight up the hormone) for anyone with any organs, its not going to give you your desired result.
Do research into what a drug or supplement does before taking it. Chances are, some boost hormones depending on the organs in your body and are not inherently masculinising or feminising(whichever effect preferred), and may have other unrelated effects on the body. I feel like people often ignore that herbal supplements can cause harm too, if taken improperly or with no knowledge of what they do to the body.

moment of appreciation for will's s4 outfits because they are so cute
also a thought: will canonically matches his outfits. he matches his belts to his fits, he dresses in bright colours, he visibly takes care in his appearance. will being interested in fashion and outfits could be such a fun trait to play with if this fandom wasn't so terrified of gay stereotypes

*whistling a tune*
I have a broken string now. Things like that don’t really matter when the only audience you wanna play for are the thoughts muddling your head. Anyone else find strumming and creating melodies like playing with stim toys? Same

Didn't know where I was going with this but I dove into more tiger and bunny outfit stuff because I adore these two so much I wanted to just draw them a bunch together kdjsgk. I STILL want to draw them more but this set is finally done
My personal favorite is the dancing one because i'm really soft for how sweet they look in it, but the glamrock one I think looks the nicest :P there's something to enjoy about them all though I think!

my favorite thing about trans!hajime is that it goes hand in hand with gnc!izuru (also im trans so im allowed to project hehe)
hajime cares about his gender its a key aspect of his identity that the importance of it resonates deeply within him. and sadly it also feeds into his inferiority complex because internalized transphobia is a bitch
on the other hand izuru doesnt care about gender, considering it to be made up by society and thus not deeming it valuable (because they totally got the ultimate sociologist and ultimate gender theorist in there) and also you cant tell me little miss floor length hair and fully fitted suit wasnt a little bit gnc
its just a fun little hc i have and when they merge hajime is still like “yeah no im a guy stfu” and izurus like “idgaf you do you”

like sorry an anime from the early 2000's in Japan doesn't use the Righteous Good Words for queer people and identities but maybe there's more important things to queer rep than semantics and clean, unproblematic language lol
