Let n and a have babies 2k24 (let n and a have babies together 2k24?? 👀 let’s be honest that parenting would be wild)
Yes! Yes! Yes!
Speaking personally about my detectives …
Suri definitely wants a large family with Nate. Wasn’t even something she’d considered before him, but seeing him around Verda’s kids, seeing him in general has her very, very open to the idea. And a dog, a little terrier
Layla hasn’t, hadn’t, and won’t really consider it with Adam just yet. Really, their feelings for each other haven’t been confessed outside of a kiss and him saying nothing can happen between them. It’ll take some time, but I believe it’s in the cards for them
And really, there is something about “The Rise and Bloody Fall of the Du Mortain Line” that really, really makes me want this for A
And the way that N so easily lifts Cara and calls her “rabbit” and how they care so much for F and help them understand this world
As for A and N parenting together? Best of both worlds lmao! It’ll be a trip!

nothing in my head except for thoughts of bruce and constantine co-parenting billy.
like it could very well be platonic co parents bruce and john, but i think it could be a very tense pining situation - but doesn’t matter, however you interpret it just imagine how funny the dynamics would be
john: well i saw him first
bruce drafting up adoption papers: too bad
john: and if you trace this rune here you can summon trigon, although raven will get her knickers in a twist over it
bruce: no summoning powerful demon lords in the manor
billy: but bruceeeeee
billy: dad
bruce and john: yes? [glaring at eachother appalled that the other thinks they have the right to think of themselves of billy’s father]
billy totally doing this on purpose with a shit eating grin: dad?
teacher: so are you little billy’s father?
bruce and john simultaneously: yes
teacher: oh! just know we are a very accepting community and find your relationship heartwarming! now if you would head this way i believe billy drew a wonderful portrait of your massive families mr. wayne’s
bruce snaking a hand around john’s waist, grinding his teeth: of course, shall we dear?
john pinching bruce so hard he’s sure it draws blood: yes anything you say love
billy: aw man there goes my two christmases… :(
billy: this is why i like dad’s better, at least he lets me summon supernatural kings from other dimensions
bruce in tears: you don’t mean that
bruce: i’m not letting you keep a tiger at the manor
john: don’t be ass, let the boy have his talking tiger
bruce: oh well i don’t think you have a say in this mr. ‘soul tax evader’
john: oh fuck off you furry bat
billy: god, if you’re there, i really don’t wanna see them make out in front of me
damian and billy playing a board game while gossiping:
billy: my dad and your dad wanna smash, don’t they?
damian sighing: unfortunately constantine’s… rugged look has enamored my father
billy:…
damian: …
billy: ten bucks says they ‘consummate’ their marriage by the end of the month
damian: hm, twenty dollars that by the end of this week they’ve had preformed coitus
billy: i miss when you guys were at each others throats, no one wants to see you guys grope each other at breakfast
dick: i think it’s sweet
jason: they defiled the library, definitely not sweet dickhead, it’s practically child abuse to watch them basically on top of each other
idk i think it’s a neat au, even if there’s no canon whatsoever to make this even sort of plausible in the slightest.

Surprise! 💖
Tumblr media
summary: Your “talking stage” pays you a surprise visit.
pairing: logie sarge x reader
warnings: none
rom-com type fic 🫧
LIGHTS OUT AND AWAY WE GO
You and Logan had a “talking stage”. Really it was a “I want to be in a relationship with you and I’m in love with you but not right now”. Your job was chaotic and draining- and well his job was certainly more chaotic and draining.
Although your two friends didn’t know this, so when you guys met up for your monthly breakfast date, they were shocked.
“Wait- but he was totally in love with you?!” Your best friend says, disbelief evident on her face.
“Okay that’s beside the point!” You say with a sigh, setting down your drink.
“But you made a Pinterest board specifically for him in case you two got married.”
“Okay that is definitely beside the point!” You say in embarrassment.
“What’s the point?” Your other friend asks, her hands wrapped tightly around her latte and eyebrows furrowed.
“The point is we were both too busy to be in a relationship..I’m sure he’s moved on” You say, taking a sip of your own drink.
“Bullshit!” Your best friend exclaims, “This man was absolutely head over heels for you. He’s not the type to move on.”
“He’s a formula driver! I’m sure he has and with someone much better than me!” You say with an annoyed sigh.
“Excuse me?” Your best friend scoffs, “I am 100% sure there is not a better woman than you out there.”
“Tell that to Logan!”
“Well- Valentine’s Day is in a few days, maybe he’ll say something to you”

“Okay so hypothetically- what if Logan was in town for you and he bought the flowers for you?” You best friend says, taking a sip of the alcoholic mixture you made.
“Okay, stop.” You say, waving your hands in the air and looking over at her, “That’s a big hypothetical and it’s not going to happen. And even so, how would I even know that’s his intention?”
“Because he liked your post!” Your other friend says, eyes lighting up.
“I genuinely think you two are delusional, and I’m supposed to be the delusional one!” You say, taking a sip of your drink.
“Oh shut up!” Your best friend groans, rolling her eyes. “You know that man is still in love with you. Stop being so dense.”
“Okay but if he still loves me then why wasn’t he ready to commit?” You say.
“Because he had a busy race schedule, and so did you!” Your friend yells, “How many times do we need to go over this?”
“Enough times so I can move on..” You say with a groan, leaning into your couch.
“Not a chance.” Your best friend scolds. “I’ve known you for over seven years and I’ve never seen you as happy as when you were around him. You can try to move on all you like, but you’re just going to be miserable.”
“This is supposed to be galentines day! Do we have to talk about him??” You say giving your friends a look.
“We’re just stating the obvious here.” Your best friend scoffs, “Just admit you’d like to get back with him and we can move on from this.”
“Okay yes- if I was given the opportunity to actually be in a relationship with him or even start talking to him again I would!” You admit with a huff, “Now can we put on a rom-com?” You say with a sigh.
“See? Now was that so hard?” Your best friend says with a smirk as she scoots closer to you on the couch. Your other friend laughs and puts on “13 going on 30”.
——
You hum to yourself as you clean up the dishes and food from earlier. You could hear a soft knock on your apartment door over the sounds of Justin Timberlake.
“Coming!” You say, dropping the trash bag and going to your door, opening it to see Logan, who holds a bouquet of roses in his hands.
“Surprise?” He says with a sheepish grin.
You’re silent for a moment, taking him in and noticing the roses in his hands. Your expression is a mix of surprise and confusion but you say nothing and invite him inside.
“Why- why?” You say, not sure what to say as you turn to face him.
He steps inside and looks around, noticing the messy counters and dishes still in the sink. He turns to you and places the roses on your countertop.
“I realized I needed you back in my life- Is this a bad time? I can come back later.” His words were fast and jittery, eyes averted and cheeks flushed with embarrassment.
“No- no..it’s not a bad time!” You say, “I was just uhm- cleaning up from earlier with my friends..” You say with a small smile.
“Okay- good.” He lets out a nervous sigh and shifts his feet a little as he looks around your home.
“So I have no idea what to say.” He speaks up, “But I’ve been thinking about you a lot- I missed talking to you, and I just felt the need to bring you flowers. I’m sorry if it’s random.”
“It’s okay Logan..it’s not random” You say with a smile, “I would had said something myself but I thought you moved on and didn’t want to be with me”
“Never.” He whispers, his eyes locking with yours, “I’ll never move on from you.”
He takes a deep breath and steps towards you, the tension building the closer he gets.
“I’ve always wanted to be with you, but I wanted to be there fully for you” He says softly, reaching to lace your fingers together.
You feel like time just stops the moment your hands connect. He lets out another sigh before taking a deep breath and continuing.
“I want to be ready for you, for us. But I don’t want to keep you waiting anymore. You’re incredible- and I’m an idiot for letting time pass like this.”
“Yeah you are an idiot, but you’re cute” You say with a small laugh, leaning up to press a kiss to his lips.
He kisses back, wrapping a hand around your waist and pulling you close to his body. He pulls away after a moment, his cheeks flushed and a smile on his face. “I missed that.”
“I missed it too”

cool. [Rodrick Heffley x fem!Reader] (Diary of a Wimpy Kid)
(from the vault)
You start working as a babysitter for the Heffleys, but a certain someone seems to be bugging his parents to go out more often. Why?
Words: 6,164
Warnings: like one slight sexual/porn innuendo
[. . .]
"What do you mean someone to watch me?” Greg yelled, exhasperated.
Rodrick laughed out loud at the whole situation. “Wait is little Greg here getting a babysitter?”
“Yes, and she starts tomorrow night," their mom replied, matter-of-factly.
“Mom, I’m in seventh grade! I don’t need a babysitter!”
“We’d believe it if the last time we left the two of you alone you hadn’t directly disobeyed the only thing we told you not to do and thrown a party while we were gone," their dad explained.
“Wait. Mom. So I don’t have to watch him? Like ever again?”
“No but you should be ashamed of the reason why-”
“Hell yeah!”
“Rodrick-” He was already up the stairs on the way to his room. She sighed.
“Mom you can’t do this to me. Do you know how bad it'll be if the guys in my grade find out you got me a babysitter?”
“They’re not gonna find out, sweetie.” She patted his head.
“And it’s not negotiable.”
“What your dad said.”
"Dad!”
“I’m sorry, kid! But if it makes you feel better, since Rodrick will be here and we’re getting a babysitter because we can’t leave the two of you alone, she’s teeechnically his babysitter too, right?”
“It doesn’t make me feel better.”
“I tried," he shrugged.
“Where are you two even going tomorrow?”
“We’re having dinner! " Susan exclaimed, excited to talk about it. "Alone, finally, because-”
“Wait couldn't she technically be Manny’s babysitter then?”
“Thank you for caring so much about what I had to say, son.” She sighed once again. “She’s not Manny’s babysitter because Manny’s gonna stay with your grandma.”
Greg huffed and made a point to be extremely loud when stumping upstairs to his room, immediately getting cornered by Rodrick.
“So… a babysitter, huh? And I thought your seventh grade couldn’t get any worse.”
“D´you think it’ll be that bad?”
“Dude they probably got you an old lady who smells like a museum whos gonna make you eat soup at like five PM and sleep at seven.”
Greg widened his eyes and furrowed his eyebrows, worried at the thought of what his brother was making him imagine. “You think?”
“Yup. And I’m not even talking about the total humiliation it's gonna be if someone your age finds out.”
“Crap.”
“Good luck with that.” Rodrick was obviously enjoying the mere thought of the torture that was going to follow.
. . .
“A babysitter?” Rowley asked, rather loudly. Greg quickly put his hand over his best friend's mouth.
“Dude! Can you be quiet?”
“Hmmph!” Rowley tried to protest.
Greg released his hand from over his mouth. “Sorry.”
“Why do I need to be quiet?”
“Because I don’t want anybody to know!”
“Why?”
“Because it’s embarrassing, Rowley!”
Rowley just shrugged. “I wouldn’t be embarrassed. A babysitter sounds fun! Maybe she’ll read you bedtime stories! And play board games with you!”
Greg just looked at him incredulously. “Just don’t say anything about this to anyone., okay?"
Rowley suddenly started to look really nervous. “You know I can’t lie…”
“It’s not lying! It’s just not mentioning it! No one’s gonna ask about it.”
“Okay. Fine.” He didn't seem that sure about it, but Greg knew he'd try his best.
. . .
You took in a sharp breath before knocking on the front door. It took no time for it to be sprung open, and you were greeted by a smiling Mrs. Heffley. You retributed the smile.
“Hi Mrs. Heffley!”
“Hey, sweetie! How are you?” She asked as she ushered you into the house, startling you when she closed the door behind you as you walked in.
“I’m alright! How about you guys? Your dress looks so pretty!”
“Oh my God, thank you! You know it’s been ages since I’ve worn a pretty dress to go out, you can’t trust three kids with a pretty dress, they're always gonna ruin it.”
“Oh God that must be hell,” you laughed along with her. “Where are you guys headed tonight?”
“Looking forward to having dinner in peace,” she laughed again. “Manny!” she yelled suddenly, startling you yet again.
A little boy walked in in his diapers, holding his pants up with both hands.
“Manny can you just please put on your pants?” Mr. Heffley followed the kid around, frustratedly asking him for what you assumed must have been at leat a fourth time to put his pants on, judging by the tone in his voice and the sigh that accompanied it.
“No!”
“Manny!” Ms. Heffley yelled yet again. The kid did what he was supposed to.
“Um I didn’t- is Manny gonna be staying with me tonight?”
“No! No,” she laughed. “Don’t worry, we’re taking him to my mother’s house.”
“Oh, right. Okay.” You tried to let out how relieved you were. Little kids were a whole other level of difficult, specially at Manny's age.
“Darling are you ready?” Susan asked her husband.
“Yeah! Yeah.”
“Greg!” she yelled again.
“What?” The boy yelled back from his room upstairs.
“Y/n’s here! Come say hi!”
“Who’s y/n?”
“Your babysitter!”
He came downstairs. Very slowly. “Mom I already-” He stopped.  “You’re not an old lady!"
“Gregory! We don't say that to people! What is that about?"
“I’m sorry! I meant- Rodrick told me my babysitter was gonna be an old lady who smelled like a museum."
"Of course he did," Mr. Heffley said, under his breath.
You pretended to smell yourself. “I think I might smell more like an art gallery maybe,” you joked.
“I’m so sorry about this."
“It’s fine, Mrs. Heffley! Don’t worry about it. Now you two go have some fun, alright? Come on."
“Yeah! Okay. Right. There’s money on the table, you can order whatever you want for dinner the kids will eat whatever. Just grab the money before Rodrick comes downstairs or he's gonna pocket it. If you need anything you can call, okay? Really, anything.”
“Don’t worry about it! I promise I’ll call if anything happens! But I think we’re just gonna stay and eat some food and watch some movies, right Greg?”
“Uh, yeah. I guess.”
“Please be nice, Greg. Oh and if Rodrick bothers you tell him I said he’ll be grounded if I hear he's not letting you work alright?"
“Sure thing! Thank you. Now go!” You joked, pretending to send them off.
. . .
You and Greg had both sat down on the couch in the living room.
“So. You’re not an old lady.”
“Nope.”
“Are you in high school?”
“Yes I am.”
“What grade are you in?"
“I’m a senior!”
“Oh. Rodrick’s a senior too.”
“Cool! I don’t think I’ve seen him around though.”
“Lucky.”
“Why’s that?”
“He makes my life hell!”
“Well don’t you make his life hell at least a tiny little bit?”
“Maybe a little bit.”
“That’s just your job.”
“Trust me no girls like him.”
“Whatever, Heffley. So what do you wanna do?”
“Can we play video games?”
“Depends on what you have.”
“Apocalypse of The Damned?”
“I have never heard of that in my entire life.”
“You’re gonna like it I swear!”
“Alright. But you have to bring me the money your mom left on the table, I’m gonna order us some pizza.”
“Deal!” He ran out to the kitchen, getting back with the money in no time.
. . .
“Hey I was thinking. Can my friend sleep over?” Greg asked, obviously having been preparing himself to do so for the past few minutes, while furiously hitting buttons on his controller as you scrolled through your phone, having gotten tired of playing at that point.
“Um. Is your friend gonna give me any trouble?”
“No! You can- you can trust us.”
“Is he annoying?”
He seemed to take his time to think of an answer. “A little. But he’s pretty cool.”
“Fine, I’ll ask your mom.”
You clicked on Mrs. Heffley’s contact name.
hi mrs heffley
how's the date going? im sorry to interrupt
You didn't even have the time to finish writing the next text before she was calling you. You picked it up.
“Is everything okay?” Susan asked, clearly worried.
“Oh, yes. Everything’s fine, you don't have to worry! I’m so sorry to interrupt your date, Greg wanted a friend to stay over and I just wanted to see if that’s okay with you.”
“Is it Rowley?”
“Sorry?”
“The friend, is it Rowley?”
“Is it Rowley?” You asked Greg, leaning away from the phone, to which he just nodded his head yes. “Yeah, Rowley.”
“Okay, of course he can! And don’t worry, I’ll pay you extra for it.”
“Oh, that’s really nice, thank you. Now you should go back to your date, I'm so sorry to bother.”
“No worries! Are you sure everything’s fine?”
“Yes! We ordered pizza and we’re playing video games right now. Everything under control.”
“And Rodrick?”
“Uh, I haven’t really seen him honestly. He definitely hasn’t left his room though.”
“Okay, thank you.”
“Bye!” You hung up.
“So?”
“Yeah, call your friend. Ask him if he has any board games we can play!”
Greg did as you said, and, in about half an hour, a little boy with a yellow shirt with a dog on it stood at the door.
“Are you Greg’s babysitter?’
“Uh yeah, I am.”
“Cool!" He looked at Greg behind you. "You told me she was old!”
“Rowley!”
“What? You did!”
You laughed at the interaction and let them do their thing, only asking them to stay by the living room so you could keep an eye on them. You sat on the couch, scrolling through your phone again as you knew the pizza should be about to get there.
The doorbell rang in no time. You stood up to pay for it, grabbing the large-size pizza and tipping the delivery guy, who didn’t look very friendly at all. You brought it in. “Hey Greg can you go call your brother?”
“Yeah!”
He ran up the stairs, and you set the box down on the dining table, Rowley sitting down. Greg came back.
“He told me to bring it to him.”
“Why?"
"He just doesn't wanna come downstairs."
"You don't have to do it.”
“What? He’s gonna beat me up for it!”
“Not with me here. I got you.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yeah. Chill out.”
. . .
“Hey you little asshole? I told you to bring my pizza!” A voice exclaimed from the second floor, and Greg muffled a quiet ‘shit’.
“Hey don’t say that!” You scolded Greg for swearing as a reflex.
“Hey? Are you not listening?” Rodrick was clearly close to the kitchen now. He walked through the door. “I said get me so-” he stopped dead on his tracks when he saw you.
“Who’s this?” He asked the boys.
“That’s Y/N,” Rowley said, through gulps.
"And I'm right here you know? You could just ask me who I am."
“Well who are you? And what are you doing… here?” He leaned over the wall, in a poor attempt to look cool. You had to fight yourself tas not to laugh uncontrollably at the sight.
“Well I seem to be your babysitter for the night.”
“What?”
“Did you also expect an old lady? You know, that's a really common and really hurtful babysitter stereotype, you really should think about the things you say now.”
“Wha- huh- yeah- I’ll just-” He let out a weird laugh, and walked up to the table, grabbing himself a slice of pizza and stuffing it into his mouth, seemingly to shut himself up.
“Well we’re gonna watch a movie after we’re done eating. You wanna join?”
“Oh he’s not gonna-” Greg started talking, but Rodrick quickly interrupted him, almost choking on his food as he did so.
“Yeah! Yeah! What are we uh- what are we watching?”
“Zathura.”
“What the fuck is Zathura?”
“Don’t swear in front of them!”
“Sorry.”
Greg looked at Rowley like Rodrick had just gone insane. Did he just apologize?
You laughed. “I’m kidding. You guys don’t mind, do you?”
They both slowly nodded their head no.
“Cool. As long as you don’t repeat it in front of your parents, alright? Don’t wanna get me in trouble.”
“We’re not five!"
“Well you do look like it,” Rodrick commented, and Greg stuck his tongue out at him.
. . .
“This movie doesn’t make any sense,” Rodrick commented, pointing at the screen.
“It’s not supposed to! It’s a kids movie about a magical board game,” you pointed out.
“Let me guess, did Rowley pick this one?”
“For your information, I did. You got a problem?”
“No.”
Rowley had, in fact, picked this one.
Greg and Rowley shared a look again. This was getting bizzarre.
The movie was over in about half an hour, and it was time for you to put Greg to sleep.
“But it’s so early!” The boy complained, and you laughed.
“I know, but you don’t have to sleep now, you just gotta go to bed! I can’t, like, force you to sleep.”
He let out an annoyed groan before agreeing and pulling Rowley with him by the wrist. “Fine.”
“I’ll be upstairs in a few!” You yelled out, and went to the kitchen to wash the dishes from dinner. It wasn’t really something Mrs. Heffley had explicitly asked you to do, but you had those extra minutes and wanted to get on her good side.
What you didn’t expect was to come in to find Rodrick still standing there, startling himself when you walked in.
“Uh hey!” His voice was high-pitched, clearly not expecting to see you there so soon.
“Hey.” You wordlessly walked to the sink, starting with the dishes. And then he offered to help you, which didn’t fit the image you had of him at all.
“What?”
“I said do you want some help? I can dry them.”
“Uh sure. Thanks.”
He just nodded, grabbing a cloth. “So did you put them to sleep yet?”
“Yeah they’re supposed to call me when they’re ready. Then I’m pretty much done.”
“Are you leaving like right after?” Was he… disappointed?
“Well not right after, your mom still has to pay me.”
“Right. She paying you extra for the dishes?”
“No,” you laughed, “just wanna score some points. This job’s good money, you know? But don’t tell her I said that.”
“Yeah, whatever.”
You nodded, a little awkwardly. “So what’s the deal with the van?”
“What?”
“The huge white van parked right outside? I assume it’s not your mom’s.”
“Yeah.”
“Couldn’t you have picked a better color?”
“What?”
“You know something other than the classic creepy white van?”
He actually laughed. “I don’t think a creep would have ‘löded diper’ written on the door.”
“Maybe you’re just trying not to look too suspicious.”
“Wouldn’t you like to find out?” Was he… flirting? Well, that was… an attempt.
“What, are you inviting me? You know, I was taught not to get into creepy white vans with strangers.”
“We’re not strangers!” He held his hand up for you to shake, which you did. “I’m Rodrick.”
“Y/N.”
“So. Ho'wd you end up babysitting Greg out of all people?”
“I mean, your dad posted something about it in the newspaper and my mom told me about it. Some extra money, you know?”
“And you’re sure it’s worth it? I mean he’s a big pain in the ass.”
“Aren’t all brothers?”
“I’m not.”
“Right. You’re like a dictator to him!”
“No I’m not!”
“He was scared you were gonna beat him up if he didn’t bring you pizza.”
“He’s dumb. I wasn’t gonna beat him up that badly.”
You laughed. “Well, we’re done. Thank you for the help. You can go now if you wanna.”
“You sound like a mom.”
“Oh my god! Stop trying to make me sound old! I'm some granny cinderella who turns into an old lady who smells like a museum when midnight strikes," you teased him, and he scrunched up his nose in embarrassment.
"Right. He told you about that.”
“Yeah.”
“Sorry. To be fair, I never had a babysitter, you know? I just thought they were all old and boring.”
“Do you think I’m old and boring?” You joked.
He snorted. “No, you’re pretty.” His eyes widened, realizing what he’d just said. Way to go. “Not in that- well not that you’re not pretty, you are, but you know what I mean. You’re uh- you’re pretty compared to what I- expected?"
It was stupid, but you could feel yourself blush a little. Why was it that you always fell for the most absolute idiots? “So I’m pretty… compared to an old woman.”
“I think you should let me start over.”
“But-”
“Y/N!” You heard Greg yell from upstairs, and you left the kitchen to go see him, going up the stairs and entering his room.
“Okay, we ready?”
“Yeah.”
“Did you brush your teeth?”
“Yes!”
“Both of you?”
“Yup.”
“Okay I’ll believe you. But your mom told me you’re on thin ice.”
Greg rolled his eyes and both boys got on the bed.
“Okay, goodnight. If you don’t sleep right away don’t make too much noise.”
“Are you coming over tomorrow?”
“Why, did you actually like me?”
“Just a little.”
You smiled. “Well no. But I think I might next week.”
“Cool! ‘Night, Y/N!”
“‘Night!”. You closed the door behind you, and walked downstairs to wait for Mrs. and Mr. Heffley to return so you could go home.
You stopped on the hallway to send your mom a quick text saying you were fine and should be leaving in a few before making your way to the living room.
To your surprise, Rodrick hadn’t gotten back to his room. Instead, he was laying on the couch, his entire body draped over it as he scrolled through his phone. He sat right up when he saw you. “Hey Y/N.”
“Hey. You not have anything to do?”
“I’m offended. But no I don’t.”
You laugh, sitting down beside him. “Okay. Well your parents must be on their way, so. Don’t have much to do either.”
“You wanna watch something?”
“What do you have in mind?”
“Well a real movie.”
“Zathura’s a real movie! I like it!”
“You actually do?”
“Yes!”
“Whatever. Well an adult movie I mean.”
“Uh, an adult movie?”
“No! Not that kind!” He was blushing furiously and you found it hilarious.
“Yeah whatever. What do you have?”
You ended up settling on a Marvel movie, but you barely had the time to start it before the doorbell rang, and you had to go get the door.
“Hey Y/N! I’m sorry we took so long, we had to go get Manny.”
“That’s fine! Rodrick and I were just about to watch a movie!”
“Rodrick came downstairs?” Mr. Heffley sounded genuinely surprised.
“Well you can finish it if you want!”
“Oh, no, I really should get going. We can finish it another time.”
“Oh well. Okay.” She put Manny down and grabbed her wallet, handing you your money. “Here, with the extra from Rowley. Hope they didn’t cause too much trouble.”
“Oh they were so cool! I was surprised.”
“Oh that’s great to hear! If they haven’t traumatized you too much we’d love to have you sit them again.”
“Oh definitely! Just give me a call.”
“Thank you, Y/N. Are you driving home?”
“Oh, no, I’m actually walking. I thought we’d be done a little earlier.”
“Oh that’s not good, we can take you-”
“I can take her!” Rodrick yelled, almost falling off of the couch in his eagerness. He stood up, walking toward you. His dad looked like he was short-circuiting.
“Are you sure?” His mom asked.
“Yeah! Come on, let’s go.” He walked quickly past the front door and into the white van.
“Sure. Bye Mrs. Heffley!”
“Bye sweetie! Tell me if he bothers you too much!”
You walked towards the van, getting in on the passenger’s seat. He turned the engine on in silence. There was an awkward atmosphere surrounding you, and you didn’t know why.
You cleared your throat. “So uh. Thanks for driving me.”
“Yeah it’s chill. Where do I turn?”
“Oh let me just- give me your phone.”
“What?”
“So I can put the address on the GPS?”
“Oh. Sure.” He handed it to you after unlocking it, and you did as you said.
“Turn left in 200 feet,” the disembodied voice said, and he did.
“You don’t have to uh- do these things for me. You know, drive me home, help me with the dishes. It’s nice, but I’m not gonna tell on you if you don’t.”
“I know. I uh. I want to.”
“You wanna do the dishes?”
“I wanna help you.”
“Why?”
He shrugged. “Dunno.”
“Fine.”
You got home pretty quickly, as you didn’t live a long way from the Heffley residence, and got out of the car.
“Thank you for driving me! Goodnight.”
“Yeah!” Rodrick yelled back, and waited for you to get in to drive off. There was a smile on your lips you couldn’t shake off, and you felt stupid for it. Was the weird wannabe rock band kid really having an effect on you?
. . .
On wednesday, you got a call from Ms. Heffley again. And then on friday, and saturday, and sunday. This could not be normal, right? But it was money, so you obviously wouldn’t refuse it. So you pulled up to the Heffley residence for the fifth time on sunday, knocking on the door as usual.
Greg opened it this time, greeting you with a confused expression. “You’re here again?”
“Miss me, kid?”
“Are they going out again?”
“Apparently.”
“Mom, Y/N’s here!”
“Oh hey sweetie! Thank you for coming!”
“No problem! Where are you off to today?”
“Well we’re going bowling. Rodrick found us these pamphlets at the mall and wouldn’t stop bugging us about trying it out, so we decided to give it a go.”
“Oh he did?” That was strange.
“And you seem to have things so under control! I can’t believe we’ve been going out so much!”
“Well I’m happy to hear it. When will you be back?”
“I’d say eleven if that’s not too late for you?”
“Oh definitely not! As long as Rodrick can drive me.”
“Oh that won’t be a problem. You ready, darling?” She asked her husband, who walked by holding Manny in one arm and a huge bag in the other.
“Yeah.”
"Everything there?” Susan asked him, referring to the bag. She turned back to you. “Manny’s staying over at my mom’s for the first time today. Isn’t that exciting?”
“Yeah!" You exclaimed, not really getting all the excitement about it. You supposed you would if you were his mom. Right now you were just happy you didn’t have to watch over him too. Little kids were always more difficult.
“Okay bye everyone!”
Greg and Rodrick were right behind you the moment you closed the door.
“Can we make pasta?’ Greg asked, and damn, the little dude must have had some sugar because he looked like he’d downed like three energy drinks at once.
“Well yeah. I make a killer pasta. Is Rowley coming today?”
“Yeah!”
“Cool.”
“Do you want help with the food?” Rodrick finally spoke up, and Greg looked at him like he was speaking Greek.
“Sure.”
“Are you okay?’ Greg couldn’t contain himself from asking him.
“What do you mean, assface?”
“Did you just offer to help with the food?”
“Yeah?”
“Who are you?”
“Oh shut it, dickhead.” You didn’t miss the nervous glance he gave you, clearly signaling something about you to Greg. And then Greg seemed to figure something out, his eyes going wide.
“Oh! Is that why you-” Rodrick looked alarmed, putting his hand against Greg’s mouth to keep him from talking, but he managed to get himself free. “Is that why you’ve been trying to get mom and dad to go out all week?”
“Hah. Don’t know what he’s talking about, pssht.” Rodrick laughed nervously.
“Uh sure. Well I’m already hungry so I’m thinking early dinner and then we can make dessert?”
“Yes!” Greg yelled.
“Okay but if we’re making the food you gotta set the table. Deal?”
Greg groaned in annoyance, but agreed. “Fine.” He went on his way, and you and Rodrick made your own way to the kitchen.
“So,” you started, as you grabbed the pasta from the cabinet. “You’ve been trying to get your parents to go out all week.”
He looked everywhere but at you. “Uh, I don’t know what the kid’s on about.”
“Well, shame. Cause I was gonna thank you.”
“For what?”
“Well the more times a week I work the more money I get right?”
“Oh right. Right. So yeah you can thank me.”
“So you were setting them up to go out. Why?”
He shrugged, trying to seem cool. “Wanted to be alone.”
“You’re not alone now. You could be in your room. Or like out with your friends or whatever.”
“I didn’t anticipate that you’d actually be cool.”
“Oh you think I’m cool?”
“Yeah.”
The water started to boil, and you threw the pasta in the pot, stirring it with a fork.
“Cool. You’re kinda cool too. You know when you’re not trying to be impressive.”
“I’m not trying to impress you!”
“I didn’t say you were trying to impress me .”
“Well I was.”
“You were.”
“Did it work?”
“Why’d you want to impress me?”
“Cause you’re cool. I wanted you to think I’m cool too.”
“Huh. Maybe I do.”
“Cool.”
“Y/N I’M DONE! I THINK ROWLEY’S HERE !” Greg’s voice came from the dining room.
“I didn’t hear the doorbell, are you sure?” You yelled back, walking past Rodrick to get the front door. Maybe you were too lost in the conversion to hear it, because the boy was standing right there when you opened it.
“Hey Y/N!” He said with a smile, greeting you with a hug, which was very on-brand for the kid.
“Hey Rowley. You alright?”
“Yeah! I brought water balloons!”
“You did?”
“Well they’re not full of water yet so they’re just balloons but yeah.”
“Cool! You should tell Greg!”
“Will you play with us?”
“Oh I don’t know, I don’t have clothes I can get wet-”
“Well that’s not a problem!” Rodrick said, and you frowned in confusion. “You can borrow mine!”
“Oh I don-”
“C’mon, Y/N, you really gonna disappoint the boy?”
“Shut up. Fine, but you’re playing too.”
“Deal.”
“Yes!” Rowley exclaimed, before taking off, presumably to go find Greg.
“Well you wanna go up to my room?” Rodrick asked, apparently having otten some confidence from out of the blue, sporting a cocky smirk.
You laughed. “You wish. Just bring me a t-shirt.”
“Yeah. Someone’s gonna be looking like the number one Loded Diper fan out there.”
“If you bring me a white shirt I will beat you up!” You yelled, and he was already on his way upstairs. You took the past out of the pot, mixing it with the sauce you’d made, which was the easiest one you could find.
Rodrick was back as soon as you set the pot down on the table, handing you a gray shirt that , of course, had ‘loded diper’ written on it in terrible handwriting.
“Thanks.” You draped the shirt over your shoulder and all of you ate in silence, apparently all stupidly hungry for some reason.
You were done pretty quickly, but made sure to get Greg and Rowley to promise to help with the dishes this time, since there were more.
“Okay! We’re gonna get changed!”
“Yeah me too!” You yelled back, making your way to the bathroom, changing into Rodrick’s gray shirt.
It didn’t hang as loose as you thought it would, and you laughed at the thought of Rodrick wearing a tight shirt for no reason. You supposed it was an old one he decided to turn into loded diper merch. Loded diper. What a stupid fucking name. You guessed it was fit.
Someone knocked on the bathroom door. Rodrick. “You done? These kids are little demons, they talk so much!”
You laughed, unlocking the door and grabbing your own shirt before opening it.
“Hello?” He looked wide-eyed, like his brain was malfunctioning, staring profusely at his shirt. “You alright?”
“Yeah,” he cleared his throat, awkwardly. “Fine. The shirt alright?”
“Yeah. A lot smaller than I expected. Does Rodrick Heffley wear crop tops?”
He shrugged, embarrassed. “Sometimes. That bad?”
“No.”
“Chicks dig the crop tops, you know.”
“Oh do they?”
“Don’t you?”
“I guess I’d have to see you in one to give an opinion.”
“Yeah that’s not happening any soon."
“Shame.”
“What?”
“I said let’s go.”
You barely had the time to walk into the front yard before Rodrick was hit on the face by a huge water balloon. You turned to see a terrified-looking Rowley at the other side. Rodrick gained his bearings again.
“Oh you’re in, you little shit!” He seemed way too determined on winning this, but who were you to judge?
Him and Rowley occupied themselves with each other pretty much the whole time, as you did with Greg, until you got hit rather strongly in the back. You stopped what you were doing, which was aiming your next balloon at Greg, who was right in front of you, and turned around to see Rodrick laughing at you.
“Motherfucker-” you cursed yourself mentally for swearing in front of the kids, hoping they wouldn ‘t tell on you, and launched the balloon at him at full speed, it landing on his chest.
“Hey!”
You played for about half an hour more until the sun set, and you decided it was best to get back inside. All three complained, and you laughed at the situation, because you supposed you did sort of sound like a mom when trying to convince them to get in, but they ended up listening.
“Okay what are we watching tonight?” You asked as you closed the front door behind you and dried your feet on the mat by the entrance.
“Oh can we watch a horror movie?” Greg asked.
“Nope, we know how that ends.”
“But we’ve changed!”
“It’s been less than a week!”
“People change!” Greg tried to plead, but you knew Mrs. Heffley wouldn’t like it if you caved in.
“No can do, Gregory. We can watch that Adam Sandler movie you wanted though.”
“With the little kid?”
“Yeah.”
“Fine.”
You were halfway through a second movie when the boys decided it was time for dessert, and you still had a little while before the Heffleys came back, so you decided you’d all bake cupcakes.
They didn’t turn out as great as you wished they would, but also weren’t half bad. They were a little flat and maybe a little toasted on the top, but were otherwise pretty edible. You covered them with some frosting and ate them as you finished the movie.
It turned out when you were done the Heffleys still hadn’t come back, so you decided to put the boys to sleep then. You came back to Ridrick looking at you at the other end of the hallway.
“Hey,” you said, not expecting him to be there.
You stood there in silence for a few moments before he cleared his throat and started talking.
“Um do you wanna hang out? ‘Till they're back?” It was funny, with him. One moment he’d be full of confidence, flirting with you at the max, but, in a second, his entire demeanor would change and he’d look unsure, insecure to ask you anything.
You were starting to wonder if he wasn’t just being a stupid hormonal teenager and if he actually, maybe, had a little bit of a crush on you. But you wouldn’t entertain those thoughts, of course. First because you could be completely misinterpreting the situations, and second because you needed the job, and you hadn’t gotten enough of a read on his mom to know if she’d be cool with that.
Still, you did have nothing else to do but scroll through your phone as you waited. “Sure.”
“Oh! Cool. Uh, my room’s right there,” he pointed to a white door by his left, and you followed him in. It actually looked pretty cool. It was sort of exactly what you expected his room to look like, except maybe a little messier, if that was possible.
To each their own, I guess. It’s not like you were the cleanest person to ever walk the Earth. You sat down on his bed, and he opted to sit down on a beanbag just in front of you.
TIt's safe to say things were a little awkward. “Uh. So. Cool room.”
“Yeah. Thanks.”
You studied the multiple posters he had glued to his walls. “Oh, The Cure. Cool.”
“Yeah. They’re not like super my style or anything. But they’re cool.”
“What would be your style?”
“I don’t know. Hard rock.”
“Huh. I don’t know. You just look like one of those guys who like rock but secretly listen to Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber or something when they’re alone.”
“What- what I would never- I don’t-” busted.
You laughed at him as he tried to deny it. “I think it’s cool.”
He stopped. “You do?”
“Yeah. Taylor Swift’s cool.”
“Yeah uh. Girls dig that.”
“Do you really know what girls dig or do you just make random guesses?”
“I’m well-informed.”
“Oh are you? You have a girlfriend or something?” Subtle.
He scoffed. “Pfft. Yeah.”
“Uh- huh.”
He gave in. “No, I don’t.”
“Okay”
“You're a girl. What do you dig then?”
“What a romantic way to phrase that question. I guess I don’t know. Never stopped to think of it. What do you think we dig?”
“Uh. Bad boys?”
You let out a laugh. “Yeah I guess. But it depends.”
“On what?”
“On whether they’re nice to us.”
“So you want bad boys who are actually nice.”
“Yeah.”
“That doesn’t make sense. Uh. But I can be nice.”
“Who said you’re a bad boy to begin with?”
“Um rock band? Cool eyeliner?” He motioned to himself, mockingly.
“Well who do you wanna be nice for?”
“Uh. You? Obviously.”
Your smile faltered. There was the confidence making an appearance again.
“What?”
“Uh. You know. So I can uh- practice. For other... girls?”
“Right.”
“Or maybe not.”
“Okay I ‘m lost.”
“Do you wanna go out with me? ” He blurted out at rapid speed.
Okay, sudden much? “What?”
“Uh. We could… go to the movies or something? You seem to like movies.”
“Right. But as a… date?”
“Yeah.”
You thought about it. It was just a date, it’s not like his mom would get mad about a date, right?
“Sure.”
“What?”
“I said sure.”
His eyes widened, he didn’t seem to have been expecting a positive answer. “Oh! That’s cool! That's- cool.”
“Yeah. Cool.”
He began standing up. “Well, do you wanna-” In that very moment, before he could finish, the doorbell rang, and you made your way past him, running downstairs and getting the front door.
“Y/N! How are we?”
You hoped the blush on your cheeks wasn’t as visible as it felt as you talked to her. “We’re great! Greg and Rowley are already in bed, Rodrick and I have been uh. Hanging out.”
“Oh that’s nice of him!” She turned to face her husband, who, in turn, grabbed your wrist.
“What have you done to him? Are you some sort of witch?” He asked you.
You laughed awkwardly. “Oh it’s all him! He was showing me the posters in his room, we like the same bands!”
“Oh do you uh. Like rock too?”
“Yeah, something like that.”
“Well we’re taking too much of your time. Is Rodrick driving you home?”
Oh, right. Shit. He was.
“Yeah I uh, think so.”
With that, he walked into your view, holding up the van keys. He’d apparently put on shades, probably so his parents wouldn’t see he had eyeliner on.
“Why do you have sunglasses on?” Mr. Heffley asked him as he walked past them.
“It’s called fashion, dad!”
Mrs. Heffley handed you the money for the night, and you went on your way, getting into the van with Rodrick, who, by now, didn’t need the GPS to get to your place. Except he wasn’t driving to your place at all.
“What are you doing?”
“Wanted a slushie. That cool?”
“I guess.”
He stopped by a 7/11 and bought each of you a slushie and some chocolate bars, which you ate outside. The wind started to get harsher, and you crossed your arms around your chest for warmth. He caught on to that, taking his striped hoodie off and giving it to you. You looked up at him, confused.
“What?”
“You’re cold.”
“Yeah but you’ll be cold.”
“Rockstars don’t get cold.”
“You’re not a rockstar.”
“Not yet."
You raised an eyebrow at him, unamused.
"Just take it!”
You did, and put it on. This one hung looser than the shirt you’d borrowed earlier. It did help. You tried your best to contain the smile that was insisting on forming on your lips. You knew it was dumb.
“Thanks,” you mumbled under your breath, and you could see him smirk, proud of himself. “You’re so cheesy. Wouldn’t take you for it.”
“I’m not cheesy. I’m just not an asshole.”
“You kinda are.”
“Shut up!”
You ate in silence for a bit before you decided to say what was on your mind. “Hey about that date?”
“Yeah?”
“I don’t… I don’t know if we should do it.”
He tried to seem chill about it, but he looked a little hurt. “Why?”
“Well it’s not that I don’t want to! I do. For… some reason,” you added, trying to lighten up the mood. “But do you think your mom would be cool with it? I mean I don’t wanna lose this job and I don’t know if she’d really like us being alone if we’re dating.”
His face lit up. “So you’re thinking about dating me?”
Oh, you’d messed up big time now, he’d never let this go. “No! That’s not what I meant!”
“I think it is.”
“Fuck off!”
“Oh we’re using big boy words now?” He grinned.
“Shut up.”
“Well. Don’t think that should be a problem. They don’t have to know.”
“What do you mean?”
“What, do you tell your parents everything? They don’t have to know we’re dating.”
“Yeah but we’re not dating.”
“Not yet.”
“Shut up!”
“They don’t have to know we’re going on a date, then. Plus, the days you work can be like little dates.”
“Yeah except there will be two children up our asses.
“You can manage.”
“Fine, Heffley. But if I lose my job you’ll be owing me. Like literal money.”
“Deal.”
“Cool.”
“Yeah. Cool.”

hello!
even i'm surprised that i updated and it didn't take me two or almost three weeks, but here it is!
i'm so happy for the recognition the story is getting, truly, thank you so much beautiful people, i hope you like this chapter a lot too. i'm looking forward to your comments!
After what happened… there was a total change of behavior between you and Aemond.
Even that same day after he didn't drop you off at your house because you told him that Alysanne would be the one to drive you, that night he texted you that there was a party at one of his friend's house.
You didn't reply right away, you just watched the message appear on the top of your screen silently and did nothing.
And after a few minutes he texted you again telling you that if you didn't want to go with him, he was fine with it. And you just texted him back a short; have fun!
But still, you couldn't help but feel completely different, with this strange feeling and a knot in your stomach at having this distance with him.
But he didn't text you again for anything else.
Even also on that same day you saw Helaena, who told you again how sorry she and her mother were still. You also saw Aegon, but he just kept walking, acting completely unconcerned and as if the dinner had never happened.
And now, with things weird and distant with Aemond, today is the trip to Dragonstone.
You assume that you and Aemond will continue to pretend, since there was never a definitive statement where both he and you said you would no longer pretend. But since that night he told you about the party, he and you haven't spoken again.
There's really no plan for the trip. You don't even know if he and you will do this together, as a couple. You just don't know anything.
But you recognize that the two of you made a contract that includes the Dragonstone trip and also ending the fake relationship until graduation. So you prepare yourself despite the circumstances.
Besides you won't be alone, as Alysanne has also signed up for the trip, who just now is keeping you updated on all the things going on in her life as you both drag your respective suitcases along.
"But I don't know if I should say yes to him yet."
You let out a sigh, already feeling tired as you feel the weight of everything in your suitcase. But you can't really blame yourself because it's an all-weekend trip to the beach, so you should have brought everything you needed.
"To who?" you ask with the breath you're gathering, as you tighten your grip on your suitcase.
"Didn't you hear everything I said?" she inquires, "To Cregan."
"Ah… and why don't you know?"
"Well, you know…" she gives you a knowing look, "I don't know, he seems too perfect to me and there must be something wrong with him," she raises her index finger at you, "And he's too popular for my liking."
You frown, still walking as she does, heading toward the buses in the school parking lot that will take you all to Kings Landing port.
"Wait," you say confused, "So he already asked you out?" you look at her slightly surprised, struggling to keep up.
"Yeah," she says casually, "But I don't know."
"Oh come on," you look at her serious, "He's very nice, handsome, funny and a gentleman."
But she grimaces, showing her skepticism.
"Not exactly my type."
You roll your eyes, amused.
Then you both stop behind a line of people waiting to board one of the buses while one of the teachers notes on a list the students' attendance by asking for first and last name, so you have to wait.
"I think you should go out with him," you say, turning to look at her.
"Uhh…" she stares into the void, thoughtfully and doubtfully, "I don't know, bestie."
"He's a good match," you try to convince her, encouraged, "Besides he's already completely crazy about you."
"That's the problem," she sentences, "I'm not looking for a serious relationship right now. It seems better to me that we both just go out, have fun together and nothing else, no strings attached."
"He probably won't refuse the idea," you shrug, "But tell him and don't leave him waiting with his hopes high."
She snorts, gesturing with her hand.
"He's a man. I'm sure he can handle me never giving him an answer."
You let out a laugh.
"Don't be mean, Alysanne."
"What?" she looks at you innocently.
"Come on, you can do better than that."
"No, I don't think so."
You both let out a laugh now and are about to say something else to him, when a third voice interrupts you in conversation.
"Y/N?"
The two turn their heads and walking towards you, it's Aemond, with a somewhat unsure and nervous posture, which is totally unusual for him, but he's still watching you completely attentively.
He's wearing a white t-shirt and a black jacket over it, which makes him look ridiculously good for a common outfit. But what also catches your attention is how he has a silver chain sticking out from around his neck.
And God… why are you suddenly so nervous about being in front of him?
"Do you have a minute?"
You look uncertainly at him and then at Alysanne, having no idea what to say, further increasing your nerves.
"Hum—
"Go," Alysanne says to you, "I'll wait in line for both of us."
"Oh… all right."
You reply, smiling a little in her direction, only to walk over to Aemond and both of you step back a little so you can talk more privately.
And it's at that moment that your heart starts beating like crazy and you bite your lips, crossing your arms over your chest, nervous and a little… embarrassed.
"Listen," he starts to say, in a low and soft voice, "I just want to say that I'm really sorry for the way I reacted the other day," he tells you sincerely, "I'm sure I made you feel uncomfortable and to some extent trapped but believe me that was never my intention. Nor was it my intention for things to get weird between us."
"Yeah, yeah, I understand, don't worry," you nod, trying to hide your nerves and trying to look unconcerned, you too wanting to put this behind you, "I'm sorry too for trying to end it all that way."
"No, it's not okay," he assures you, "I just didn't understand anything and got frustrated," he admits to you gently, "And that wasn't right of me. Now I know how overwhelmed you must have felt with everything that happened."
"I-I guess I got scared and that was the easiest way I could think of to end it all when that wasn't right on my part either. After all… we have a contract—
"The contract thing doesn't matter," he interrupts you with a nonchalant gesture, placing a comforting hand on your shoulder, "The important thing is that we're both okay and that we don't distance ourselves from each other."
You nod in agreement, feeling a sense of relief at hearing his words.
"Yeah, you're right."
"So… everything good?" he asks you completely attentively.
"Yes, all good," you assure, wanting to put any misunderstandings behind you.
He is about to say something when one of his friends calls out to him from the line to board the bus.
"Aemond!"
You both turn your heads and his friend along with the teacher in charge watch him intently from the bus doors.
"I need to see your signed permission form, son," the teacher tells him.
He nods and goes back to watching you.
"I'll see you inside," he says before walking away towards his friend and you nod.
You walk back with Alysanne to the line and watch Aemond just a few feet in front of you, talking to the professor, and then he and his friend carry their bags up to the bottom compartments of the bus, eventually moving up the line.
And God… this is the sense of relief you so desperately needed to finally feel. Knowing that you're going to do this with Aemond, all about Dragonstone, relieves and excites you.
However, you should have assumed that even then things would get weird, because the feeling doesn't last long when you see Floris approach Aemond and the two of them start talking.
At first you don't think anything of it, but then, you see the way Floris approaches and behaves towards him.
A tingle of jealousy begins to bubble deep in your stomach as you watch the two of them talk. You also watch as some students watch the two of them and then you, standing apart, with curious and mischievous looks, surely waiting for the drama.
It's as if everyone knows what Aemond and Floris once were, only to then watch you, the new girlfriend, fade into the background after Floris has returned to school.
And Aemond's behavior towards you comes back to your mind.
He himself told you that he did not expect to see her again, so on another plane and in other circumstances, if Floris had not left the school, you are absolutely sure that Aemond would have required her help, totally.
And this between him and you would never have happened.
And maybe… Aemond is still interested in Floris, just as she seems to be still interested in him. But he can't do anything about it because he already has an agreement with you, he's stuck with you.
This relationship is fake, remember?
Your mind tells you, since for Aemond it's not real, but rather pure convenience, just an act, but for you… it's getting harder and harder to ignore the feelings that arise inside you.
Is it possible that your feelings are more real than you have allowed yourself to believe?
You watch as Aemond seems to want to subtly pull away from her to have his own space, but Floris moves closer again, as if they both share something that only the two of them know and that's why she has the confidence, even though he has a girlfriend, to act that way with him.
Which only makes you more annoyed and jealous.
But finally the line starts to move forward and you decide you won't give it any more thought. What's the point of worrying about something that, in theory, isn't real?
You board the bus behind Alysanne, where everything inside is full of excitement and energy, with students talking and laughing as they settle into their seats.
Then your gaze almost instantly meets Aemond's as you look at the seats, sitting in one of the first seats with the seat next to him empty, watching you intently and with a small smile on his lips, clearly waiting for you.
The temptation to go sit next to him is strong, but you decide to ignore it and keep walking behind Alysanne, passing him. And that instantly makes him react.
"Hey, hey," he quickly stands up and gently takes you by the arm, watching you with his soft gaze reflecting bewilderment, "Where are you going?"
Your nerves dissipate and you try to come up with a good excuse.
"Hum… you know, to sit with Alysanne," you point to your friend.
He follows your gaze but frowns, confused.
"But don't you think we should sit together?"
You stay silent for a few seconds, watching him intently and nervous, trying to come up with a better excuse. But he speaks again, trying to convince you.
"I packed snacks for both of us on the way and thought maybe we could watch a movie or something."
"Maybe on the way back," you say with an apologetic look, feeling the weight of his gaze on you.
And he frowns slightly, his gaze reflecting a mixture of disappointment and confusion as he tries to understand your behavior.
The two of you a few moments ago spoke, the two of you apologized to each other and you especially said that everything was okay or not? That's what keeps him confused, not understanding why the two of you are suddenly continuing this distancing, noticing your efforts to pull away from him.
"Come on," he insists, "Let Cregan sit with her."
"I'm sorry, Aemond," you say, "But I promised her I'd sit with her."
He seems to want to argue back, but you waste no more time and finally walk past him, moving away from him straight toward Alysanne in one of the seats almost at the back.
Aemond with a serious look sighs resignedly, feeling the disappointment inside, confused and with disillusion, not really understanding anything.
And when you arrive together with Alysanne, just as you take your seat, you look back to where Aemond is with a worried look and at that moment Floris appears, stopping in front of him with a small sweet smile on her lips.
"Will someone sit here?" she asks politely even though she already knows the answer, her tone with a familiarity that makes you stir in your seat.
Aemond turns his gaze back to you with a mixed expression of seriousness and disappointment before answering Floris.
"No," he replies with some annoyance, dropping back into his seat with a droopy attitude.
Floris complacently takes a seat next to him and you watch everything from afar, telling yourself that this is all a bad idea, with a swirl of emotions all over you.
So all the way to King's Landing port begins, where you distract yourself listening to music and avoid looking towards the seats where Aemond is with Floris.
At all times you feel this uncertainty and this unpleasant feeling that does not leave you in peace, even makes you feel sad, but Alysanne by your side manages to distract you in some moments.
Until you finally arrive at the port and in organized groups, the teachers make sure that all the students board the ferry that goes directly to Dragonstone.
Everyone around you starts taking pictures and videos of the wonderful view the ferry offers of Blackwater Bay, excited to get to Dragonstone.
And you start looking for Aemond with your eyes, finding him leaning on the ferry's railing with one of his friends next to him, both talking, but he has a more thoughtful expression as he gazes out at the ocean.
Despite being surrounded by people and his friends especially, he is distant. And you know he's like this because of you.
For one reason he asked to talk to you and clear up what happened between the two of you. You assured him that everything was fine and then pushed him away.
But can you really blame yourself?
You're fucking scared.
And for a reason Floris acts that way with him, because whatever there once was between the two of them, it's not over yet, you can feel it. And you have no right to reproach him for that because this is not real.
Still… it's better for you to start slowly pulling away from him and put on a show when it's really necessary. But how will you be able to do this together when things are like this?
That's why the uncomfortable feeling on the bus persists and Alysanne tries to distract you by taking pictures of the view, a selfie of the two of you together or by herself.
But despite these efforts, you can't stop thinking about Aemond and watching him from time to time.
Until the ferry finally docks at Dragonstone Island and the students begin to walk ashore with their suitcases in hand, full of excitement and high expectations for what awaits them this year on site.
And since you have never visited Dragonstone before, you watch in complete awe and amazement as the majestic and imposing modern castle stands before you almost on the water's edge.
It looks like a living museum, offering the relics of Old Valyria and its history, paying homage to the ancient house Valyria, a royal family that once ruled Westeros with the legend of having tamed dragons in their Reign.
The entire castle is made of stone, as well as its surroundings and all it has to offer.
And once inside, everything is majestically structured and spacious, with architecture of royalty, preserving that touch and the one that many decades ago a royal and powerful family lived here.
With a male guide, who is also chaperon of this 'excursion', he welcomes all the students and begins to guide them through the main corridors of the castle.
You are amazed to see the numerous display cases with ancient swords that had forged the history of the Valyrian house, as well as other possessions, be they wardrobes or jewelry of gold, silver and other precious stones.
There are also portraits of the ancient Kings and Queens who had ruled, as well as portraits of princes and princesses with the name, date of birth and date of death.
Being your first time in this place, it is obvious that you are excited compared to other students who have come here before and just want to have fun.
But you sense how the atmosphere is steeped in history and mystery. So you can't wait to learn more about this history that was in an ancient and legendary world.
"For those who don't already know, there are various activities you can do during your stay on the island," says the guide man, "You can enjoy the beach and swim in our crystal clear waters, but you can also dive with professional instructors to explore the coral reefs and marine life, as well as we also offer surfing lessons for beginners."
"I want to try surfing," Alysanne says next to you, without both of them letting up, and you watch her in surprise.
"Really?"
"I don't plan to dive, I feel like I'll go crazy with claustrophobia with so much suit and gear on me, not to mention you can't talk," she tells you with a grimace, "And swimming is so boring. I want something more exciting."
"And you can handle that?"
"Please, I can handle anything," she says with a certain superiority, making you laugh, "And what do you plan to do? Obviously not surf but then what?"
"Hum…" you think about it for a moment, "I don't know, maybe I'll visit the huge library and learn more about the history of this place and the whole Valyrian family."
Alysanne looks at you completely expectantly and showing you how much your answers have bored her.
"Are you serious?"
"We also offer a tour of our small aquarium located in the depths of the castle, where you can see a variety of fish and sea creatures," he man goes on to mention, "And lastly, we offer rides on our yachts and scooters along the coast, there are also paddle boarding lessons along our peaceful canals that meander through the island."
You look back at Alysanne beside you.
"Or maybe I'll join the paddling classes," you say with a shrug.
But that only makes Alysanne look at you like you're a hopeless case, sigh, and continue moving on, not telling you any more about your plans or she's afraid it will make you feel bad.
And you let out a little laugh, since of course you also want to enjoy the beach and also want a yacht ride.
And as all the students continue to move forward and you along with them, you still feel the tension between you and Aemond, who is moving a few meters ahead of you with his friends.
Despite the beauty and excitement of Dragonstone, still this uneasiness continues to weigh on your being.
Tumblr media
First night at Dragonstone and you've already been left alone.
Alysanne stated that she wanted to enjoy the luxurious bathtub in the room to immerse herself in a relaxing spa experience, so that's what she's doing now before starting the rough activities tomorrow.
And meanwhile you're stealing snacks from the huge kitchen since you've prepared one night of movies for yourself, which isn't a bad plan.
So with your pajamas on, you go back to the room, thankful that you didn't have any awkward encounters with anyone. In fact you were hoping to run into him, but that hasn't happened and you have no idea where he must be.
So with your snacks in hand and in the huge hallway where your room is located, you struggle a bit to open your door with your hands full, when someone enters the same hallway where you are.
"Hey Y/N."
You turn your head and meet Cregan, causing you to place a smile on your face in his direction.
"Hey Cregan."
He watches you with a small amused smile.
"Do you need help?"
"Well, I-I…" you try one more time, but everything is about to fall out of your hands, "Yeah," you finally agree.
He helps you with your snacks and also opens the door for you, then watches you curiously.
"Are you preparing one night of snacks and probably watching movies with Alysanne?"
"No," you reply laughing softly, "No, I—
"Ah, so you're going with Aemond to the hot tub," he interrupts you in a casual tone, assuming.
Confused by that revelation, you try to process the information, but before you can even pretend and react, which you really don't and remain silent like a fool, he notices and looks at you slightly confused.
"Oh, well... on my way here saw him alone in the hot tub and thought you were going with him."
And just then it happens.
Something snaps inside you.
An overwhelming sense of need overwhelms you from head to toe, you can't help it and you can't take it anymore.
You need to talk to someone about the truth and release everything you've been accumulating these past few days. But you know that if you do that, you would be breaking a contract rule.
But the thought of still holding all this in and not being able to talk to anyone about what's really going on is unbearable.
Alysanne would freak out and you have no one else to talk to. It's not like you have a lot of friends. So thinking hard, you quickly map out a plan in your mind and decide to confide in Cregan.
"Do you have a moment?" you ask with a lump in your throat.
Cregan gets confused and looks hesitant.
"Well, I—
"Alysanne is relaxing in the tub, she won't be out of there for a while and I really need to talk to someone about this," you plead.
And that's enough for Cregan to walk into the room behind you as he sees your face like you're about to explode and you tell him everything.
And God, it's a complete relief to be able to speak freely, without the pressure of keeping up the farce.
And you start by explaining to him why you decided to fake a relationship, and then tell him these feelings that you can't ignore anymore, as well as explaining everything you're feeling about Floris and how things are between you and Aemond.
And by this point, Cregan is very comfortable sitting on your bed, eating from your snacks while you wander around your room talking freely about everything that comes to your mind and he listens attentively.
"I'm completely crazy, aren't I?"
You watch him completely frustrated and looking for support, as the ideas and thoughts keep coming uncontrollably into your mind.
"I mean, this is fake," you clarify, waving your hands as you speak, "This wasn't supposed to happen, he just asked me for help and I asked for something in return to accept. And he clearly doesn't feel the same way I do."
You look at him in exasperation, worried.
"And I know I acted wrong with him this morning on the bus but—" you sigh, "You should have seen how he reacted when he saw Floris at school again. This whole thing with Aemond probably wouldn't have happened if Floris hadn't left school, it's obvious there's still something between the two of them and that makes me feel… so upset and so jealous when I shouldn't!" you exclaim frustrated, "And I find it best to just stay away from him so I can stop feeling all this and my big mouth won't even think of telling him how I really feel."
"Y/N—
"I'm right, right?" you don't let him speak, watching him completely intently and worriedly, "I'm crazy."
Cregan smiles softly in your direction in an attempt to comfort you and shakes his head, as he takes another bite of a chocolate bread.
"No, not at all," he replies sincerely, "You're just being honest with yourself and me."
You stop in front of him, fiddling nervously with the fingers of your hands.
"I had to blurt it out," you say dejectedly, "I'm so confused. And you have to promise not to tell anyone," you tell him instantly.
"I promise," he tells you instantly too, nodding.
"So what do you think?"
He lets out a long breath before answering, watching you calmly and quietly, preparing in his mind what he will tell you next, while you wait desperately and anxiously.
"Listen, I think it doesn't matter that the two of you have been pretending all this time, but Aemond likes you, a lot."
He assures you and your heart leaps, parting your lips and watching him completely intently.
"I've seen the way he stares at you—
"Have you already forgotten that all this time we've been pretending?" you interrupt him in exasperation.
"And you think you can fake a look of love if he's not really in love?" he asks you, expectantly.
You let out a sigh, bringing a hand to your forehead, massaging your temples.
"That doesn't matter, I feel he still has feelings for Floris and I'm just another fool who fell in love with Aemond Targaryen," you look at him hopelessly, "And if you think about it, it's embarrassing."
"Okay, let's analyze the facts," he says confidently, incorporating himself better on the bed, "The fake relationship was his idea, you set most of the important rules and you're the one who wants to end the relationship, but you're here locked in your room preparing a movie night for yourself alone while he's waiting for you in the hot tub," he tells you condescendingly while pointing at the door with his thumb.
You watch him completely attentively, almost hesitant and unsure, thinking about it.
"And if you think about it precisely, yes, Aemond and Floris had something but it was nothing serious, he later went back to Alys and now that he erased Alys from his life, there is you and no one else," he explains to you, "Floris' return means nothing because he could have told you that it was better to end the fake relationship when he saw her again, but he didn't tell you anything, it was you," he assures you, "And yes, maybe you fell in love first, but eventually he also fell in love with you and harder."
Cregan's every word hits you like a wave of revelation, making you rethink your perceptions and doubts.
Maybe, in the midst of all this confusion, conflict and your doubts, Cregan is right.
Maybe Aemond really is in love with you, despite the fake relationship, Alys and Floris… maybe he is and the thought is as overwhelming as it is comforting.
If so… then what will happen?
You don't know but wanting to find out excites and scares you at the same time.
"Do you think he's waiting for me in the hot tub?" is the only question you can utter out of the thousands in your mind, watching him hopefully.
"Of course," he gives you an obvious look.
So you waste no time.
You leave on your pajamas of silk shorts with a tank top of the same fabric and throw a coat on over them. It's not really cold but the air here on the island is frosty enough for you.
And as you step outside a part of the castle where the hot tub is located, with your heartbeat echoing in your ears, you are greeted by a cool, salty breeze that caresses your skin.
The hot tub area is illuminated by a series of lights hanging from the ends of the trees, creating a calm and relaxing atmosphere. But what stands out the most is the blue light of the hot tub.
And there you see him.
You focus on the lone figure of Aemond as you move forward, who has his back to you, gazing off into the horizon, thoughtful while also distracted by the bubbles the hot tub is making around him.
You pause for a moment, watching him from a distance, feeling a strange mixture of excitement and nervousness fluttering in your chest.
The silver chain around his neck shines with a soft glow from the blue light, adding a touch of mystery to his profile, just as his white skin glows slightly from the glint of water on his skin.
The sound of the hot tub echoes in place, as well as the ocean waves outside and with nerves blocking your mind, you finally approach him, with quiet determination.
"Mind if I join you?"
You say to him with some insecurity and in a soft tone, hugging yourself, nervous and attentive.
Aemond turns his head towards you and his eye meets yours.
And if his gaze reflected surprise, he quickly turns back to an unexpressive face and without saying absolutely nothing to you, where you also tried to smile a little at him, he turns his gaze back to the front.
And you don't let it get to you, at least not yet.
"What? Now you're going to ignore me?"
And thankfully that's enough to make him talk to you. At least a little bit.
"Oh now I'm the one ignoring you?" he retorts bitterly, without even looking at you, "That's funny."
And he continues to turn his back on you, without saying anything else, to which you let out a long breath and without giving up yet, thinking about what Cregan told you and also considering your feelings, you approach him.
With hesitant steps, you climb the steps leading to the entrance of the hot tub and approach the edge, feeling the warmth of the water and the gentle steam rising in the air.
Feeling Aemond's gaze on you, you take a seat on the edge and dip your feet into the water as you return his gaze, which makes your heart pound in your chest again.
He is completely beautiful.
And the words don't come out of your mouth as you are hypnotized for a moment watching the flashes of light on his serene face with his flawless skin and those features that make him look so handsome.
But you finally focus.
"Well, I'm sorry this is my first trip here and I have no idea how to do the activities when you didn't even offer to guide me," you foolishly try to justify yourself.
"Oh and now I'm supposed to guide you after you ignored me on the bus?" he inquires.
You feel the blood rise to your cheeks and look away for a moment, embarrassed.
"Well, I thought I should do you a favor," you admit sheepishly, not really knowing what to say.
And you just had to say that?
Your mind reproaches you.
"Favor?" he repeats in confusion, "What favor?"
"It's obvious Floris is still interested in you," you explain, "And you and she had a thing in the past so was it better for her to sit down with you or not?"
Fucking fool.
Your mind keeps reproaching you, but you don't know why you had to say that either!
And you know it was really bad as Aemond makes a gesture of exasperation on his face and shakes his head as he averts his gaze from you and stretches out both arms to the edge of the hot tub.
"You know?" he starts to say in a frustration-laden tone of voice, watching you "For being such a good student… you can be really dumb sometimes."
You frown, bewildered by his words.
"What?"
"I wanted to sit with you, Y/N," he tells you in exasperation, wanting to make you understand, "Not with Floris or anyone else, just you," he says, his tone softening as he looks at you intently.
Oh.
Yes, oh.
Now you feel stupid and of course you should feel exactly that way.
And as Aemond's words echo in your mind, you feel a mixture of emotions inside you.
On the one hand, a sense of relief and joy finds its way into your chest as you hear his sincere words and know that he wanted to be with you. But you are also overcome with a slight embarrassment at your initial lack of understanding.
And because of the same nerves and how stupid you still feel, a soft laugh escapes your lips at his confession.
"So, Floris…
You let the words float in the air, as you watch him with that insecurity in your gaze.
"Floris was just a one time thing in the past. She doesn't interest me anymore," he assures you gently and firmly, completely honest.
You both remain silent for a moment, only hearing the bubbling of the hot tub, where you mostly admire how the blue light reflects all over his body and face, looking so fucking good.
Not to mention he has no shirt on.
You can feel the electricity in the air as he watches you with his face softer compared to a few moments ago, there's also almost adoration and hope, all just the same way you're watching him.
Then you break the silence.
"I'm sorry I didn't sit with you on the bus," you say sincerely.
And he makes a nonchalant gesture with his hand.
"It's all right."
And once again, silence envelops you as you both sink into the intimate and complicit atmosphere that surrounds you.
Then once everything has been 'cleared up' somehow, you sit up and take off your coat, to begin soaking in the hot tub along with him, causing him to watch you attentively and in confusion.
"You're going in your sleeping clothes?" he asks in a doubtful tone.
"I didn't bring a swimsuit," you reply, stopping in front of him and allowing yourself to enjoy the shared quiet and intimacy along with the warmth of the water.
You watch as his gaze sweeps over your body, mostly focused on watching the way the water envelops you in just the same way he does and you don't stop, as you position yourself right in front of him, your face inches from his.
And already starting to feel a little embarrassed by his burning gaze on you, you say the first thing that comes to mind.
"You know, I've never seen you without that chain," you say, feeling your knees bump against his thighs.
He smiles slowly, showing off his perfect aligned white teeth, marking each cheek with his beautiful dimples, having a knowing glint in his eye that is reflected as he inspects your face.
"It's part of me," he replies, in a soft, deep, husky voice than usual that sends shivers down your spine, "But I think I might make an exception tonight."
And before you can fully comprehend his words, you feel Aemond's hand on your thigh from under the water, sending a surge of electricity through your body.
Surprised, he makes you sit on his lap, while his other hand rests on your waist, drawing you to him gently but with remarkable determination, surprising you and making you feel instantly nervous.
You place your hands on his shoulders, seeking stability, as you watch him with your parted lips, seeing that the space between the two of you no longer exists.
The intensity of his gaze and the softness of his face take your breath away for an instant, reminding you why you are drawn to him in the first place. And a mix of emotions overwhelm you as you realize how much you've been longing for this moment.
Then you both shorten the little distance that separates you and finally you feel the sweet contact.
With no one around, no one else's eyes on you, just the two of you alone here, you kiss.
A slow and deep kiss, where you feel Aemond's lips soft and warm against yours, making you let yourself go and move closer to him if possible, taking one of your hands to caress his cheek.
And his body responds to your caresses, pulling you closer towards him as if he can't get enough, settling better into his lap and tilting his head to the side, deepening the kiss, where his hands run down your back, causing his touch to cause electric currents through your body.
Then you both pull away a little with a wet sound from their lips and you watch him directly into his eye, unable to believe this is actually happening, where Aemond breathes through his mouth and brings one of his hands up to your cheek, watching you intently and with that lazy smile.
"What?
With a small smile on your lips, you shake your head.
"Nothing," you reply in a soft tone and that makes him smile a little more, starting to trace your cheek with his fingers and your face with his gaze.
"You don't know what you're doing to me, love," he murmurs against your lips, his voice hoarse, "The way you make me feel… it's indescribable."
His words wash over you like a comforting warm wave, spreading throughout your chest and causing a sensation to settle in your lower abdomen.
His hand on your thigh slides all over your skin, producing shivers as he pulls you even closer and your whole body trembles slightly from the intensity in his desire as he shortens the distance again and his lips seek yours with a hunger that matches what you are feeling.
And in that moment there is no doubt or hesitation, only the overwhelming certainty of the connection that exists between the two of you. And just like him, you let your actions speak for you and everything you are feeling right now.
You deepen the kiss, as you lose yourself in the intoxicating rhythm of his kisses and your fingers gently glide over the skin of his face and run along the contours of his jaw.
"This wasn't in the contract," you murmur against his lips, agitated.
"No, it wasn't," he tells you just as agitated as you are, catching your lips with his again.
Then your other hand comes down on his bare chest, tracing his muscles and feeling the heat of his skin against yours, sending an electric shock that ignites a burning, fierce fire throughout his body.
Aemond moans against your lips and brings one of his hands to the back of your neck, tilting his head and holding you exactly where he wants you, while his other hand travels between the skin of your thighs and your lower back.
Then you decide to move on top of him and his breath hitches as he feels your movement and you too feel a tingle in your crotch.
Both he and you can feel the tension grow between the two of you and suddenly it is as if the world has vanished, existing only him and you with this moment of pure connection and desire.
And with each caress, you feel yourself falling more and more under the spell, lost in the intoxicating, indulgent pleasure you begin to experience. And with his heart beginning to pound, his caresses become more daring and urgent.
You too move with more purpose on top of him, beginning to feel a bulge grow just below your nerve center that caresses him and makes you feel so good.
"Do you want me to stop?" he asks against your lips.
"Please don't," you sentence, kissing him again.
You gasp against his lips and you both begin to gasp, feeling Aemond's chest rise and fall every instant, just like yours. And with the warm, comforting water enveloping you both it only makes it feel better.
You run your hands through his hair, pulling it away from his forehead to lean into him and continue kissing him as you continue to roll your hips on top of him, when he pulls away from you and begins to leave a trail of wet kisses from your cheek and down to your neck.
All your skin bristles and you let your head fall back, giving him more accessibility.
"Fuck," he murmurs hoarsely into the side of your neck.
And you lean into him again, kissing him, wanting to feel the caress of his lips on top of yours.
But then when the need and desire begins to build to a pace where Aemond thinks he won't be able to stop afterward, he decides to stop right there, pulling away from your lips and making you stop moving.
"Wait," he says to you in a low, husky tone, breathing through his mouth.
You look at him slightly confused, just as agitated as he is.
"What's wrong?" you say with your heart pounding in your chest as you take a deep breath.
He tries to catch his breath, closing his eye and resting his forehead against yours, still holding you above him.
"We can't," he says with some frustration.
You force yourself to take a deep breath, beginning to feel confusion and uncertainty invade you, watching him intently.
"Why not?" you ask in a whisper, still leaning into him.
He lets out a long breath through his nostrils, clearly fighting against the hardness beneath his shorts and keeping you on top of him in a way where you don't touch him or he'll go completely insane.
But his silence only makes you worry and think things that really aren't.
"Or is it that you don't want to do it with me?" you ask fearfully and with embarrassment starting to creep up on you.
"What?" he quickly looks at you, "No, no, that's not what I mean, of course I want to do it with you," he answers you quickly and completely honest, "But we can't do it here."
He points his gaze around you, to again look only at you with that intensity, revealing a mixture of his desires and his inner conflicts.
Oh.
A sense of relief washes over you as you realize it's not rejection, but concern for the circumstances.
"Ah… right," you say with a mixture of embarrassment and relief, also briefly glancing around you, "Sorry, I hadn't thought of that."
Aemond looks at you tenderly, his gaze softening with a mixture of desire, vulnerability, and what you think is love reflecting in its depths, then pulling your face towards him again.
"It's okay, we'll find another time," he assures you, his tone comforting.
You smile softly as you place your hands on both of his cheeks and he kisses you deeply again, causing you to melt into his arms and let yourself be completely carried away.
You feel embarrassed by your misunderstanding, but also grateful for his concern and consideration.
And you don't know exactly how long you both lasted inside the hot tub, just kissing and nothing more, occasionally playing with the bubbles, sharing an intimate and special moment together.
"I missed you," he murmurs against your lips, leaving a soft kiss that makes you smile.
"Me too," you confess, kissing him again.
And though desire still burns between the two of you, you both know it's best to wait and save that moment for a more private and suitable place.
Tumblr media
You still don't know what the fuck happened.
But what you do know is that you went to sleep with a silly smile on your lips and at dawn, you put the same silly smile back on your lips as you remembered everything that happened.
However, surprise and fear also flooded you after remembering exactly everything you and Aemond did.
The two of you were going to have sex.
You were going to have sex with him in a hot tub.
You didn't even care about anything, the fact that they were out in the open, the fact that you weren't physically or mentally ready or even the fact that you and he weren't even real boyfriend and girlfriend.
But you wanted to do it, God, you wanted it and badly.
He was even the one who had to stop everything when on another plane, you probably would have done it, but no. You weren't thinking, you were completely drunk with pleasure and now shame is the only thing you feel all over your body.
You can't even tell Alysanne because of the shame and because you know she won't stop laughing at you. You even plan not to leave the room to avoid running into him. But Alysanne makes you go with her to her first surfing lesson.
And ready for the day as you walk with her down the stairs to the main lobby, you think about how if things with Aemond were already weird and awkward before that moment, now the two of you won't even be able to see each other's eyes.
But to your surprise, that's not what happens.
There are several students and teachers already in the lobby when you see his characteristic silver hair, but before you can react and even think, Aemond walks towards you with a small smile as soon as he sees you and kisses you, surprising you since you definitely didn't expect that.
And of course you noticed the look Cregan gave you both, but more to you specifically, but you just told him with your look that you will talk to him about everything later.
And so you start your activities in Dragonstone, with Aemond.
Of course you first keep Alysanne company in her surfing lessons and after she is totally focused on that, you and Aemond spend time together.
Under the golden sun, painting the horizon with warm hues and golden sparkles on the ocean waves, you both enjoy a walk along the shore of the beach, enjoying the salty air and the sea breeze that envelops you.
You talk about everything and about almost nothing at the same time, him being the first one to dare to hold your hand while you enjoy your little walk, making the blood rise to your cheeks and you enjoy like every teenage girl in love these little moments.
Then you both play a game of volleyball, where you both laugh and have fun as you immerse yourselves in the game.
And clearly from running around so much in the intense sun and getting almost sweaty, you get the idea that you both should swim a bit and surprisingly Aemond doesn't refuse the idea, even though he doesn't know how to swim, but you offer to teach him.
In a gray two-piece bikini, you lead him out into the waves, explaining how to move in the water and breathe properly, causing him to begin to gain confidence and enjoy the sensation of being carried by the waves.
But of course after that would come the laughter and playfulness, both laughing and talking while enjoying the sun and the salt water.
And in that moment, the fun turned into an intimate moment as Aemond holds you by the waist, pulling you closer to him. There is a silent intention in his gaze as he touches your skin with his burning hand and you don't pull away, on the contrary, you lean towards him.
You wrap your legs around his torso and his lips press against yours in a deep kiss, losing themselves to each other in the middle of the sea.
And when you both separate, you look at each other with a mixture of shyness and affection, while Aemond places a damp lock behind your ear, feeling a pleasant sensation that he can't quite describe envelop him, especially at the moment when you again leave a soft, tender kiss on his lips.
And with beaming smiles on your faces, you both get out of the water and go upstairs to your rooms to bathe and change your clothes.
But then the two of you meet again and he accompanies you to explore the castle together, marveling at the ancient relics and all the history that surrounds the place.
He also accompanies you to the library to take some photos and to the roof terraces where you get magnificent views of the whole island.
And as you both move through the exhibits, Aemond more than anything couldn't resist hugging and kissing you, expressing his affection in every gesture and you of course didn't mind.
And in the castle's aquarium, you both find yourselves surrounded by fascinating sea creatures, sharing tender moments together as you watch the fish swim around.
The sea creatures seem to dance in the water, their bright colors and movements mesmerizing you as you walk among the tanks.
"You are beautiful," he murmurs against your lips, watching you with that bright glint in his eye as he watches the reflection of the sun and water on your face, creating an aura of serenity and beauty around him.
The blood rushes up to your cheeks and you smile shyly, feeling so silly.
"You are beautiful too, Aemond Targaryen."
You lean towards him and leave another soft kiss on his lips that he reciprocates instantly, taking you by the waist and bringing you completely closer to him, wanting to keep touching and kissing you.
But you both continue the little tour holding hands, where you also take pictures together and of everything you see around you, wanting to capture these moments.
And even though he and you haven't really talked about anything, this doesn't feel like you're both pretending. This feels real and you like the way it feels when you are with him, being completely honest and genuine with your feelings.
Then the day goes on as normal and as expected, after doing all the educational activities in a certain way, it's time for the party.
"There will be my friends, Cregan, my sister and well, Alysanne if she wants to come too," Aemond tells you as you both head towards your rooms.
"I'll convince her to go," you assure him.
"Okay, I'll see you in fifteen minutes then."
"All right," you smile at him.
He leaves down a different hallway from the one you're heading down since each of your rooms are separate and you're focused on getting ready for this party.
You don't know how, but he and his friends have arranged to take a yacht for the night. Obviously they are not going to ride around in it with the night sky, but apparently they have everything ready for everyone to drink and enjoy a while.
Fortunately you convince Alysanne and the three of you soon arrive at the yacht that is stranded in the west harbor of the island, where Aemond's friends are already there, getting everything ready.
Then the music plays, the LED lights turn on and the drinks begin to be served.
Sitting on Aemond's lap, you didn't think you'd have as good a time as you're having now, laughing and talking to everyone, occasionally hugging and kissing him.
And fortunately nothing unfortunate or unpleasant happens, there is only the company of your friends and you enjoy Aemond's presence, clinging to him at every opportunity, hugging him and singing some songs with him like everyone else, having a good time.
And fortunately in the following days there is no activity you don't do with Aemond, even now if you go for a yacht ride, where you can perfectly see some students and also Alysanne practicing surfing.
You also cheer up with the scooter ride, just like him, completely enjoying the moment and the experience.
And you honestly don't want any of it to end.
general taglist:
You want everything to continue to be perfect.

Taking a Break | Isaac Lahey x Reader
Tumblr media
There needs to be more fics of teen wolf on here in GENERAL, it feels like I’m grabbing for scraps at this point😭💔💔 love my homeboy isaac so I’ll quickly write something teehee
Tumblr media
Click. Click. Click
The sound of a pen echoed throughout the classroom, some students looking towards the source of the annoying sound, others sighing loudly at the persistent clicking.
Click. Click. Click.
You sat in silence, staring at the board in front of you. Not even realizing you had become a disturbance for the entire class, you continued playing with your pen, lost in thought.
With all the killings happening around town, your nerves had reached an all time high. You had no idea what to expect at this point! Everyone thought Stiles had found a pattern to the killings, or ‘sacrifices’, until the killer decided to change things up.
Click. Click. Click.
Everything was getting a little too frustrating, you couldn’t even focus in school! No matter what you did, your mind just seemed to be in another place. Not even your boyfriend could bring you back to reality at this point.
Click. Click. Click. Cli-
The pen that was once in your hand was snatched away from you, snapping you out of whatever spell you were under. Looking up to the teacher, you could only internally cringe at what was about to happen.
“Is this seriously necessary? This was the most annoying thing you could’ve done in my class of all places. I hope you don’t plan on becoming a professional pen clicker because that job would suck! For everyone!”
Coach Finstock walked away and began talking to the class about whatever he was teaching today, fiddling with your pen as he continued. Huffing, you slumped against your seat and stared at the clock as its hands slowly moved around.
Feeling eyes on you, you slightly looked back only to see Isaac staring at you. When you finally notice him, Isaac gives you a confused look to as if to say ’what’s wrong’ which you could only mouth out ‘nothing’.
You whipped your head to the front though when a book was slammed on your desk.
“Y/N! You just became my least favorite student in this class, congratulations! You’re making me question why I decided to chose being a teacher as a career, thank you!”
Finstock placed the pen back on your desk. His eyebrows furrowed at the face you were making.
“Don’t look at me like that, it’s scary.”
“I’m not looking at you like anything?” Your face scrunched up in annoyance.
“Oh ho, yes you are! It’s the same face that that Silinski kid gives me when I make him run laps around the gym!”
The bell rang causing everyone to get up, you quickly packing your bag and rushing out the classroom. Coach totally made everything worse for you if you were being honest.
So eager to leave the school, you didn’t even hear the sound of your boyfriend calling out to you from the sea of students. Confused, Isaac fought his way against the current of students, all excited to begin the weekend and be away from school, to get to you.
Finally reaching you, he lightly grabbed your shoulder.
“Hey, what’s going on? Are you ok?”
Shifting your attention to the tall boy, you gave him a small smile. Just looking at him made some of your nerves calm down.
“Uh yeah, stuffs just been taking a toll on me lately.”
At that, Isaac frowned. You both continued walking, hands now linked together. Walking out the school, you both fell into a comfortable silence. You lost in thought while Isaac wondered what was bothering you.
Was someone bothering you? Have your teachers been giving you a lot of homework? Glancing at your tired face, he couldn’t help himself from asking questions.
“Do you want to talk about it? I mean, about the stuff that’s been bothering you.”
Sighing, you let go of Isaacs hand, causing him to unconsciously chase after it. You smiled at the action.
“I guess with everything that’s been going on around town, with all the random killings, I just- ugh. I don’t know but it’s been really draining my energy. And making me kinda anxious, lowkey.”
Once you started talking, you couldn’t stop the waterfall of words that seemed to shoot out of your mouth.
“And not just the killings Isaac, but having to guess where this killer will take its next victim is so frustrating! We don’t know when it will happen and who it will happen to!
“It feels like we’re just sitting around waiting to find a new corpse! And like I said, we don’t know whose getting targeted. For all we know, it could be Allison, you, me-!”
Isaac cut you off suddenly, forcing you to stop walking by pulling you towards him. His hands gripped your upper arms, keeping you in front of him, forcing you to look at him.
“Hey, I know it feels like we’re getting nothing done right now, but we’re all trying. It’s a slow progress, but we have something. That’s what matters.”
He placed a hand on your cheek. Leaning into it, you sighed. “This really has been on your mind, huh?”
Groaning, you nodded and dropped your head onto the boys chest, causing him to let out a small laugh. Hugging you, the werewolf could only hope he relieved some of your nerves. Suddenly an idea popped up in his head.
“What do you think about a self care weekend? Something to get your mind off things.” He smiled as you let out a confused sound.
“What about the others? What if they need us or something?” Pulling away from him, you grabbed his hand and continued walking, pondering the idea of a self care weekend.
“I think Scott and the others can handle a weekend without us.” Isaac snickered, happy to see your mood changing as you got excited.
“And if anything, they can just text us. Or Scott can howl. Either works fine to be honest.” At that, you laughed, your body relaxing the longer Isaac spoke.
Silence again fell between you both but it was different. You were now smiling, happy that Isaac gave the suggestion of taking a break. Isaac internally high-fived himself, a grin breaking onto his face.
Bringing his hand up to your lips, you kissed the back of it.
“Thank you.” Smiling, he did the same thing, gently kissing your hand, loving the way your face flushed a pretty pink.
“Anything for you, love.”

stress relief [v.kings]
description: the kings worry that their mate is pushing herself too hard.
requested by: n/a
warnings: uhhh none? maybe suggestive content??
this is totally self indulgent bc i just took my state boards for nursing and let me tell you all, i was stressed and definitely could have used these 3 in my life haha. enjoy!! :))
Tumblr media
her head was pounding, eyes straining from re-reading the same question that laid in front of her over and over again. the computer screen seemed to get brighter with every passing second, the words jumbling together as she scrambled through her thoughts to find the correct answer.
she had been at this for hours - the never ending cycle of studying and reviewing that she had been stuck in for weeks now. she couldn’t help it though - every moment that passed where she wasn’t studying felt like a waste of time and, with the help of her overthinking, she was convinced that taking a break would mean not passing.
and she refused to accept anything less than a passing result on her test.
this was the biggest test of her life, after all. she had spent years in college preparing for this moment and was terrified now that it was here. this was the moment that defined if she was capable of putting all of her earned knowledge to the test and being competent in her field.
in her eyes anyway.
her kings disagreed with her.
caius, marcus, and aro all agreed that she had this test in the bag. how couldn’t she? she was incredibly smart and driven and had worked her ass off for years to be the best that she could be. there was no doubt in any of their minds that she’d pass and they had each tried to convince her of that multiple times.
but of course, their mate was nothing if not stubborn, and had a hard time seeing reason when she was under this much stress.
the test was in three days, which meant even more time studying and preparing and more migraines, irritability, stress and anxiety.
she reread the question again and then the answer choices, racking her brain for the answer before finally deciding on her best guess and sighing. the girl reached up to rub her temples with one hand, her other reaching for the glass of water to drink in an attempt to settle the pounding behind her eyes.
behind her, aro watched his mate with narrowed eyes. as one of her mates, he easily picked up on her emotions and was not very pleased with the amount of stress she had placed on herself as of late. she had always been an overachiever in school, always had bad test anxiety and held herself to high standards in relation to grades. but to him, this was excessive.
“how many more questions do you have until that test is over?” aro asked, catching the full attention of both caius and marcus, who were only half paying attention before.
“i don’t know.” she mumbled, answering the next question easily before moving on.
caius rolled his eyes from his spot on the bed before he flashed over behind his mate, the girl not even flinching at his sudden appearance. he peered over her shoulder at the screen before turning back to marcus and aro and holding up five fingers.
caius sat back then, the three of them waiting patiently as she finished the practice exam and viewed her passing result before he sat back up and turned off the monitor.
“hey!” she spun around, her red-rimmed eyes glaring hard at caius. “what are you doing?”
“you’re done.” he said, sternly. “you’ve been at this for hours and it’s nearly midnight. you’re done.”
“no.” she spoke back, her voice raising as she pointed a finger back at the screen. “my test is in three days and i’m not ready.”
“yes you are.” marcus argued before caius could answer with something that wouldn’t help the situation. “and taking a break to sleep is not going to affect anything anyway, especially when you can hardly focus on the questions.”
a lump grew in the back of her throat but she fought past it, ready to argue some more. aro raised his hand, before standing himself and moving beside caius. he gripped her hand is his, his other moving up to rest on her forehead. she sighed, the coldness of aro’s skin relieving the headache she hadn’t fully realized she had.
“cara mia, please take a break. eat a snack, take a nap. and the next two days you can study for a few hours at a time.”
“aro…” her eyes were pleading as she looked up at him but he wouldn’t give in. marcus had appeared to grab her other hand and aro moved back as marcus pulled her out of the chair.
“no arguing, dearest.” marcus pushed her towards the bathroom in their shared rooms, dropping her hand in order to turn on the shower. “take a shower and relax. when you get out, we can do whatever you want for the rest of the night.”
she seemed to debate it, her heavy eyes darting from between her kings to the shower, her lip disappearing between her teeth. “you three are free tonight?”
“for as long as you need us to be, tesoro.” caius answered and the girl sighed again, rolling her shoulders and neck as she did. she stood silent for a few more moments, before the weight of her exhaustion finally hit her and she stepped closer to her kings.
her head fell onto marcus’ chest and his hand reached up to her hair, fingers curling through her strands as she stood there. caius and aro joined them a moment later, aro’s fingers gently massaging the back of her neck while caius kissed her shoulder.
“get in the shower, love.” caius spoke again as steam began to fill the bathroom. “afterwards, no more thinking about that test until tomorrow.”
“okay.” she murmured, pressing a kiss to each of their lips before finally moving towards the shower.
the three left her to relax, barely making it back towards the main living quarters before they heard her call out. “if you’re so worried about how stressed i am, you three could help me find a little relief!”
they were back in the bathroom in the blink of an eye.
* a few days later*
“i passed! i passed! i passed!” an excited voice echoed down the corridors, growing closer and louder with every word. fast footsteps pounded down the hallway towards the throne room, where the three kings sat conversing before the next trial.
the three kings shared smiles as their human mate continued to approach the throne room and they stood to greet her, each of them wearing a proud smile and assuring her that they never doubted her for a second.

Sparkly Pink Skirt
Pairing: College student! Eren Jaeger x College student! reader
Synopsis: When you are head over heels for Eren since high school, he finds it difficult to take in when you start to avoid him.
Word Count: 2586
Tumblr media
You are a riddle Eren has long given up on solving.
He closes his eyes to refrain from rolling them when your hand untangles from his arm and shoots up into the air to answer a question, your charm bracelet jingling loudly. He knows that it would be so unnecessarily intricate, he might as well take a quick nap.
It has always been like that since he met you in high school.  Teachers were always so fond of you due to the efforts you gave in your academics.
Eren spreads his thighs to lean more on his chair. You are still talking. He drums a finger on his desk and glances at you. You don't even realize that you are driving everyone to snoozeville. Except your biology professor, of course. She seemed just as giddy as you.
Nerds.
With a deep breath, you then smoothed out your frilly pink skirt and sat back down beside Eren and wrapped your arm around his again as you giggle at nothing in particular. "Ren, I was just thinking. We should get milkshakes later."
Eren sighs. "Can't."
She's not his girl, he feels no obligation to indulge her.
Her smile drops before it returns once more. "What about tomorrow?"
"Shut up. She mentioned a quiz or something." Eren nodded to the professor.
It was a lame excuse to get you off him but you did not buy it for one second and even pouted at him. "No, the professor was just talking about thermoregulation. Were you not listening?"
Eren's eyes flitted to you before staring into the empty space of the white board once more, not having enough energy to deal with you at the moment.
At lunch, you always invite yourself to sit next to him.
His peers nod at you as you place your pink Sanrio lunchbox on the table.  Eren scrunches his nose at your strong strawberry perfume that you no doubt just sprayed on yourself before coming.
“Hey Jean, Armin, and Connie!”  You say with the brightest smile as you scooch closer to Eren, who was taking a chug at his energy drink, before you steal it away from him.
A moment of silence falls on your table but you don’t waver and instead you glare at him.
“I told you a million times!  These are harmful for-”
Eren clicks his tongue and your shoulders drop.
“Ren, I just don’t want you getting sick.  You drink like a hundred cans per day.”
He scoffs at your exaggeration.
You tap your chunky shoes, your expression falling.
“I’m sorry. Here.”  You pull out a tumbler from your bag.  “I made you cucumber lemonade this morning.”  Apologetically, you smile at the others on your table who were looking almost too busy with their forks and ketchup.  “I brought fruit sandwiches for all of us.”
Connie cheers while Jean and Armin thanks you like how a normal person would.
Eren takes the strawberry one which you offered him.  His taste buds feel weird from all the flavors, having been used to artificial snacks that he often got from convenience stores.
“Does it taste good?”  You ask him eagerly, eyes all bright as your hands fiddle with your hair.
You already know that he finds it tolerable, Eren had it countless of times.  He doesn’t know why you bother asking him every time you feed him the food you make.
“It’s gonna give me diabetes.”  He comments.
“You ungrateful fu-”
You cut off Jean’s accusation with a soft smile before you turn to Eren once more, already used to his quips.  Your smile widens when he takes another bite anyway.
“I mixed the cream myself.  I added less sugar, it’s not going to give you diabetes.”  You giggle as you grab a tissue and playfully smack Eren’s mouth with it and the tissue sticks to the whipped cream in the corner of his lips.
Jean coughs.  “You guys coming to the party later?”
Connie responds with a ‘yes’ without hesitation.
“Today’s Thursday.”  You point out.  But Connie just shrugs like a party on a weekday is totally fine, making you sigh.
“I don’t know, I have to study for midterms.  Are you going to come, Ren?”  You turn to him.
He shrugs. “There’s free booze.  Why not?”
You roll your eyes and look at Armin.  “Are you coming too, Armin?”
Armin smiles excitedly.  “Yes! Mikasa’s here to represent their school in an event.  She told us that she’ll be attending.”
Eren chuckles, making you look at him.  “It’s been quite a while, hasn’t it?”
The three of them were inseparable ever since you met them.  You tagged along most of the time but their friendship goes way back.  Mikasa, however, she had to study in her mother’s hometown for high school senior year and even now, in college.
You took a bite off your kiwi sandwich as you consider attending.
Eren knocks your thigh with his, making it jiggle softly.  “I’ll pick you up at seven.”
Well, you do have a lot of time to study before the exams, one party will not be that big of a deal.
You smile at Eren.  “Okay!”
Seven rolled around rather quickly and you find yourself seated in Eren’s dodge challenger.  He buckles you in as you are too busy pulling your thigh highs up.
You resist the urge to fan yourself despite the blasting ac.
Eren just had to be so unfairly handsome, doesn’t he?
His black shirt was illegally stretched across his chest, his pecs shamefully bulging out, his arms immorally straining on the sleeves of his shirt.  His jeans too immorally taut against his muscular thighs. You look away, not wanting to objectify the person beside you any more than you already have.
Oh, but his man bun and piercings are just so sinfully attractive!
The party was already starting when you arrive, you can tell by the blasting music which you heard a block away.  The two floored house had its windows flashing in neon lights.  The outside was pretty empty, aside from the cars haphazardly parked by irresponsible teenagers.
You scurry next to Eren the moment you got out and you whine, trying to keep up with his long strides.  He opens the door and heads inside, leaving you to push the door yourself and you almost lose him in the crowd but you managed to grab a fistful of his shirt.
He leads you inside and you struggled to avoid being pushed around by sweaty party animals.
Soon enough, you find yourself seated with the gang in the terrace.  You take the deepest breath, after trying to hold it while passing the crowd earlier.
“You okay?” Mikasa smiles and offers you a drink.
“Hey, Mika! Yes, I’m fine.”  You thank her for the drink, sniffing it to see if there’s alcohol in it and gulping it down when you see that it’s just plain juice.
Eren leans to give Mikasa a one arm hug and you see how flustered Mikasa has become despite how dim the terrace was.
Everybody was having fun, catching up and you enjoyed it too.  Only, you can’t help but feel a little out of place when they began talking about their youth.  The rest of the gang knew each other back in grade school, and you only joined when you were in high school.
Reiner and Bertholdt went downstairs to dance, so did Ymir and Historia.  Sasha raided the kitchen with Connie.  The rest stayed to chat and you just sat there with them, listening to them laugh as they recall their shenanigans.
You were feeling kind of hungry and you grab Eren’s sleeve to have him accompany you downstairs.
“Ren, I’m hungry.”
He clicks his tongue.  “Go eat.”
“Come with me?”
Eren’s eyebrows twitched as he spoke in a hushed voice.  “Can you stop being annoying just for tonight?  My plans don’t include babysitting you.”
You immediately let go of his sleeve, your hand fall to your thigh and you look away from him as you feel your nose sting, knowing that tears will come any moment now.
“Okay.” You whisper, head hanging low.
Eren resumes his conversation with Armin and Mikasa and in the brief moment you look up, you see him smiling at her.
You bite your lip the entire time, not wanting to cry in front of them.
Eren already thinks you’re annoying.
Of course, perhaps you do go a bit too far in showing your affection for him.
You wait for a couple of minutes more before you slip downstairs.
The party was still as alive as the moment you arrived.  Sasha and Connie were in the kitchen, trying to stuff their mouth with marshmallows.  You grab a pocky and head out without disturbing their intense competition.
You were knocked around more times than once but you did manage to get out of that suffocating house.  The night breeze bit your skin but you preferred it anyway.  It was unbelievably convenient when you see a beanbag in the porch and you collapse into it, bringing your heavy wedged shoes up to pull your knees to your chest, an attempt to make yourself more invisible.
The strawberry pocky was your only company and you wanted to smack your own head for not bringing any juice.
“The party a little too much for you?”
You gasp, startled.
Jean was leaning on the wall behind you, his arms crossed as he remained staring at the empty street.
“Uh yeah. Wanted to cool down a bit.  I’ll be back shortly.”  You say meekly.
He heaves a sigh and pushes himself off the wall.  “Wanna go drive around town?”
You look at your shoes and then to Jean.
“Yeah, that does sound a lot better than just sitting here.”
He offers a hand and you take it.  His Range Rover comes to view and he opens the door for you.  Making you chuckle.
“What?” He smiles.
You shake your head.  “You’re so chivalrous, Jean.”
He grins. “Nah, it’s a bare minimum. ‘S not that big of a deal.”
Smiling, you say, “But I appreciate it.  Thank you.”
Jean drove you around and even got you a slushy in a store that was open 24/7.
But on the way back to the party, you asked him if he could drive you home instead, already exhausted.
You thank Jean after he drops you off in your dorm and doesn’t leave until you got inside.  You quickly sent him another quick thank you.
The moment you’re inside your dorm room, you peel off your clothes and took a quick shower.  You are about to go to bed when you hear a ping.
“Where are you?”  Eren texted.
“Dorm.”
“Who drove you home?”
“You should’ve told me you wanted to leave.”
“I didn’t wanna bother you.”
“You can’t just leave without telling me.”
Perhaps you were a little too tired and emotionally exhausted after what happened in the party but your fingers punched letter by letter and hit ‘send’ before you can process what you just said.
“Yes, I can.  You’re not my boyfriend.”
But it was done.  You sent it. And he read it.
Three dots appeared on his end before it vanished.  You bite your lip when it appears again.  The cycle kept repeating and you just decided to go offline.
You have no classes with him tomorrow, thankfully. You would not want to face him anytime soon.
To say that Eren was confused when he does not see you in his usual parking space was an understatement.  You must have woken up late.  He’s sure your attitude from last night was already gone.  You just slept though your alarm.
He nods at Connie and Armin when he gets to his first period.
“I didn’t see Y/N.”  Connie says, still looking at the door, half expecting to see you there, waving at them.
“Late perhaps.”  Eren mutters.
“I wonder about that.”  Jean quips as he seats himself next to Eren.
“What do you mean by that, Jean?”  Armin asks, concerned.
But Jean only smiles at them.  “Nothing.”
Eren did not appreciate being kept in the dark, it has been happening since last night and it’s starting to piss him off.
“You drove her home, didn’t you?”  Eren asks Jean, almost accusingly.
“What if I did?”  Jean gave a coy smile.
Eren clicks his tongue to dismiss Jean.
Armin glances at Eren but it was difficult to read him, when Eren’s eyes are as dead as always.  But in a millisecond, he thought he saw Eren’s brow twitch.
You were still nowhere to be found by lunch.
It started to bother them all when Eren looks like he’s just about to snap.  His leg was bouncing without pause and he kept clenching and unclenching his hand.
“Maybe she’s sick and didn’t come to school?” Connie suggests just to ease the tension for a moment.
Jean shakes his head and pops a fry on his mouth. “Saw her this morning on my way to second period.”  He glances at how uneasy Eren was and pretended to let the information slip. “Y/N said that she wanted to try that dessert café a few blocks away from the campus for lunch.”
Eren’s foot shifted but he remained seated.
“Armin, I need to review for basic cal.  Help me out a bit.”  Jean sighs as he stands to leave.
Armin quickly catches on and nods.  “Of course.”
Connie was about to protest but Eren’s sharp stare got him to stand as well.  “Right! I also need to study.”  Jean elbows him harder than intended.  “No one would believe that coming from you.”
He’s not stupid.  He knew what they were doing and he wanted to smack them for it but he doesn’t feel the need to stop them either.
The tray on your hand looks like what dreams are made of, you concluded.
A rainbow crepe, crème brûlée, lemon cake, tiramisu, oh you can’t wait to try more.  You sat down quickly and your hand hovered over them, not knowing which one you should try first.  Deciding on the tiramisu, you snatched the fork and took your first bite.
You cup your cheeks as you chew the tiramisu, eyes closing in pure happiness.  The mascarpone and coffee soaked lady fingers were so rich it ruined every dessert that you had.
“Enjoying yourself?”
It was cute how you squeaked in surprise.
Eren taps a finger on surface of the table.
“What are you doing here?”  You mumble, eyes now on your lap, fingers tracing the glitters on your rose-colored skirt.
“Am I not allowed to come here?”  The corner of his lips twitch to a smirk.
You look at him for a moment before you avoid eye contact again.
Well, he certainly looks out of placed. Especially with his black attire and piercings, the kids from two tables behind him were stealing glances at you.
“I’m guessing you’re not here for the cakes served in sparkly pink plates.”
Eren flashes you an amused smile.  “No but I did come for the girl in sparkly pink skirt.”
Your eyes rounded, your face heating up.  You did have a feeling he was here to talk to you but it did not stop you from feeling all shy.
The next Thursday, your biology teacher hears the familiar click clack of your shoes and looks up with a smile.
But instead of seeing you clinging on Eren’s arm, he had it wrapped around your waist.

This is a little smut fic I wrote for Diavolo's birthday, but since I have two fics now and this isn't a "birthday-themed fic," I thought I'd post it now.
CW: MC is AFAB and nameless, uses she/her pronouns. Piv sex, creampie, roughness, harsh language.
WARNING: This fic is centered around the CNC kink. I will explain what that is, but if it's something you may not enjoy due to trauma or other issues, please don't read!!!
CNC: Means consensual-nonconsent. The premise of a cnc scene is that beforehand, both partners agree to certain types of rough or aggressive sex that is of "nonconsesual" nature during the scene. The consensual part is the agreement before the actual sex occurs, where safewords, boundaries, and other parameters are in place. Some people call it rape play, I don't necessarily agree with using that as a blanket term for CNC. This is risky and should not be taken lightly, just like BDSM.

"So we are in agreement. We're doing this?"
"Yes... I think so."
"You can't just think so. This is something that could go poorly for both of us if we aren't both on board with it."
She was quiet for a moment, deciding what to say next. Diavolo lifted her chin and gazed into her eyes, a softened but serious look in his.
"I want this. We have our rules, we agreed to the rules, and we know our way out should we need it," she answered confidently.
"Then... so it shall be."

She sighed as she gazed at her test score. It was fine, but she wanted better. Quietly, she folded it and set it aside so she could focus on class. That was, until she saw Diavolo walk in, making a beeline for the teacher's podium.
"Good morning everyone. Your professor had to take leave today, so I will be filling in for the day. His message to you all is to work on your assignments due this week. You may ask me questions if you need to. No lesson for today," Diavolo explained.
The class became quiet and got to work as instructed.
Except her.
She stared up at Diavolo for a solid minute until his eyes finally landed on hers. She raised an eyebrow. The corner of his mouth barely tipped up.
Today was the day.
She began to work on her homework for the next hour, counting the minutes and seconds until class was over. It was so much more distracting to have him there, just steps away from her own desk while he sat at the professor's. The anticipation was building, and all she could do was organize in her head how this would go. Her thoughts were consumed with running each scenario, every word, every single movement they could make. It was so important that this went right, and maybe–
"And that's class. Thank you all for coming. Have a good day," Diavolo announced, standing at the podium. Everyone was already up and leaving, having packed their things while she just sat there daydreaming.
Once the room was cleared out, she cleared her throat quietly and got up from her desk, her test in hand as she walked up to the podium.
"Hey, I had a question," she stated confidently but softly, trying not to intrude. She saw the papers on his podium and knew he was likely busy.
"Yes, what is it?" He replied in his usual candor, golden eyes gleaming and bright white smile beaming.
"I got this score on my test, and I really thought I did better... Is there any way I could... get some help?" She answered, handing him the sheet of paper. He looked over his nose at her and nodded, taking the paper and setting it down to look at.
"I'll see what I can find."
He scanned it over, reading every question and answer. If there was any skill he mastered, it was looking at anything unfazed and replying in a similarly unaffected manner.
"I see. So, you seemed to have not totally understood this concept here, and this one could have been better here," he explained, pointing out to her what he meant. She came closer and nodded, listening carefully. "I think this one could have used a few more examples to drive home your point as well."
She sighed. "Yeah... That's what I thought, too. I wish I'd done better..." she murmured to him.
Her mind became distracted again, thinking about how good he smelled, the amber and musk filling her head with ideas other than this test.
"Are you listening?" He asked quietly, bowing his head to look at her.
"Oh, sorry..." she mumbled.
Finally, she turned her own head up to look at him, and she swallowed thickly at the idea buzzing in her skull, the one making her question every fiber of her moral being.
"Is there... anything I could do to improve my score? Anything at all?" She asked carefully and slowly, bringing herself closer and peering up at him with slightly widened eyes, her expression maybe a little innocent.
"Did you have something in mind?" Diavolo asked in reply, his voice pitching lower in his tenor range smoothly.
She mentally took a deep breath, centering herself. I want this. I want to try this, she thought to herself.
"I mean... What are my options?" She asked, her own voice stepping just a hair lower in pitch as well, leaning into the intensity of the moment. Her body moved closer intentionally, now just mere inches away from his.
"Don't be coy, I think you and I both know what you're implying," he answered, a bit dominantly. "I saw how you stared at me all hour. You can't stand here now and tell me you don't know what you're asking."
Here we go.
"Surely I don't know what you mean..." she stated, sounding slightly shocked.
His arm snaked around her waist, and he snatched her closer, a little roughly, and bowed his head down to whisper in her ear.
"Don't lie. You want me to improve your grade in return for something, right? A little mentoring? Well, I know what it is you want, and I know what I want, so why don't we skip the rest and get to the point?"
She nearly trembled then, with excitement and nerves from how he spoke to her so harshly but still yet so seductively.
"I... I don't understand. I just wanted to see–"
"Shut up, and come here," he snapped quietly in her ear, grabbing her by the wrist and pulling her over to the desk. He pushed her against it, wrapping an arm around her when she became off balance from the sudden movements to hold her up. "You asked for it, now I'll make sure you get what you want, and I'll get what I want," he murmured in her ear before biting on the shell of it.
"But–"
"But nothing, now am I going to take these off, or are you going to help?" He interrupted her again, pushing her to sit on the desk and slipping his thick fingers into the belt loops of her slacks with a hard tug.
"No, I really didn't mean–" she tried to insist.
Riiiiiiiiiiiip.
"I guess I'm doing all of the work," he mumbled, quite literally ripping her slacks off with his inhuman strength like the material was paper.
"Dia–"
She started to yelp, but he slapped a hand across her mouth to cover it and keep her quiet.
"Now, are you wanting your classmates to know you want your headmaster to change your grade in exchange for sex?" He challenged her, his gaze piercing her soul. She shook her head. "Then be quiet."
With her torn slacks on the floor in pieces, his hand skimmed up her warm thigh, and he roughly opened it out wide so he could stand between her legs. He looked down and smirked as her underwear peaked out in the creases of her thick thighs and soft tummy.
"You were anticipating this, weren't you? Wearing just a black little lacey thong today. Were you going to ask your professor for this too had he been here?" He mocked her, snapping the band of her panties against her, making her flinch and moving his hand from her mouth. "Answer me," he snapped.
"No, I wasn't asking for this! I–"
She clamped his hand on her mouth again while tutting her. "I said be quiet. Do not yell again unless you want this to get much worse for you," he commanded. She nodded. He smirked at her panicked expression, tears welling up in her eyes. "Now, there's no need for that. I'll give you what you want. Besides, you're going to be good for me, right? This is all for me, and I'll make sure you enjoy it too."
She shook her head, and he ignored her as he slid her panties down her thighs. When she started to fight him, closing up her legs and pulling away, they met the same fate as the slacks. His eyes dilated when he started to see his prize, and instantly got more aggressive.
"Don't. Fight. Me," he barked at her, grabbing both her thighs and throwing them open wider so he could see her perfect little wet pussy on display for him. She still tried to fight against him, pulling away and shaking her head while she whimpered. He sighed and rolled his eyes. Finally, he pinned her down against the desk with his massive hands on her shoulders, papers flying everywhere. "Are you done?"
She stopped for a moment, looking up at him. Her hands had gripped onto his elbows, trying to hang on as he pinned her. She tapped her finger once against his elbow before saying, "Stop! This isn't what I meant at all!" She pleaded with him.
"Oh, but I think deep down it is what you wanted, pet. I think you were waiting for the perfect moment to use your little charms to win me over, but now you have cold feet. You know you want this. Don't worry, I'll take good care of you," he answered menacingly. "I'll make sure you enjoy it, at least a little."
She shook her head and sobbed. Seeing that she wouldn't stop making noises, and he found them to be rather adorable, he snapped his fingers to block sounds within the room from being heard outside.
"What a mess..." he mumbled with a sigh.
He began kissing her on her lips, hoping to shut her up just for a little bit. He ground himself against her body and let his hands wander her body. His fingers made short work of her uniform jacket and blouse, quickly loosening her tie and gaining access to what was beneath it all. He gave a purr of content as he got a glimpse of her. She laid there, still squirming and whimpering, trying to push him off, but that was like pushing on a brick wall when it came to the prince of hell.
"You are beautiful," he murmured in her ear before licking the shell of it a little obscenely. He ducked his head down and left hard kisses, little bites, and trails of his saliva on her chest.
"Stop," she whimpered, turning her head away from him, but he just chased her down with his lips hot on her exposed skin.
He chuckled darkly in her ear and groaned. "I'll even do you a little favor," he told her while he slipped a hand down her exposed form to her pussy. He danced his fingertips along the slit before sliding them past the crevices to reach her clit where he rubbed it generously.
"Noooo..." she groaned, finding it harder to fight against him. "Please don't do that."
"Ohhh, but you're so wet, pet," he murmured to her, and even she couldn't deny how much more slick she became down below. "You're loving this no matter how much you want to deny it."
He trailed his kissed lower and began feasting upon her breasts, sucking and laving his tongue over her perky nipples with elation.
"Finer than any forbidden fruit, sweeter than any sugar," he mumbled against her flesh. "I can't wait anymore."
Diavolo brought his head up to kiss her with his tongue bullying into her mouth. His hands began to unbuckle his belt and send his slacks to his knees. He quickly shed his uniform jacket and loosened his tie.
"You ready, dulcis? I need you," he said huskily in her ear.
Just after he spoke, she felt something warm and hard pressed against her thighs. Pre-cum started to coat her thigh as he rubbed it against her.
"Please don't, please," she pleaded with him, with a tear rolling down her temple.
"Shh, it'll feel good, just enjoy it," he whispered to her.
The demon pried her legs apart again and stood between them, leaning on one hand on the desk while the other grasped his cock to start rubbing the fat head against her little clit.
"Just a perfect little pussy, and all for me," he mused, feeling her slick coating his length. He bowed his head again to murmur in her ear. "Don't fight me. This will go a lot better if you just take it," he warned her before kissing her temple again. All she did was squirm again beneath him.
After pulling his hips back and angling himself, he slid his cock into her, groaning at the overwhelming tightness of her walls.
"Oh god," she whined, trying to worm away from what was bullying its way into her depths.
He chuckled and kept her in place with little effort on his part. "There's no god here to help you now. It's just you and the Demon Lord," he rumbled darkly in her ear.
It took a few more moments for his cock to be fully seated in her. He took the moments after to breathe in her scent, the glistening light sweat on the sides of her neck, and her sweet, sweet arousal. It was fuel for his fire to keep going.
"You're mine. You're all mine, and I'm not letting go," he stated with a malicious chuckle.
The first thrust was rough, and she cried out at how harsh it was. She couldn't help but cling onto him, her little hands gripping the fabric of his shirt along his elbows. He went back to planting a field of dark blooms, hickies and bites galore. With every thrust, he grunted, fighting the urge to completely lose it. Little squeaks and groans fell from her lips as well, signing conjuction with the rattles of the desk.
"Hells, darling, you're going to make me let go too early," he murmured against her neck. "You can't tell me anymore that you didn't want me to fuck you raw on this desk, not with you dripping down your ass and my thighs."
"I didn't," she insisted weakly, knowing she was losing the fight to stop him and now trying to win the fight to make it through to the end.
He grunted again as he made another hard thrust into her. His pre-cum and her wet walls made it such easy glides in and out, but there was something so cute to him about how she squeaked and whined with every pounding he gave her.
Diavolo chuckled again. "Right, and you don't want me to release inside you too, hmm? You don't want to feel me finally fill you up properly, to give you what you've wanted for so long? You wanted to be fucked, and now you're simply getting the best."
"Oh god," she whined again, clutching onto his shirt along his chest.
"God doesn't save whores like you who beg to be filled so deeply," he replied in her ear, his voice much more serene for someone who was doing this.
He kissed her neck and wrapped his arms around her body, trapping her entirely as he made the last few thrusts count. Using the desk as leverage, he leaned forward more to bring her hips up so he could penetrate her deeper. It took all of just mere moments to start moaning and crying with relief as he hit that sweet spot deep inside, and only that many more moments to make her body lock up as the most intense orgasm of her life befell her. The hot sparks of pleasure bloomed from her abdomen and spiraled out to her limbs. The chasm of pleasure was a deep one, and when the Demon Lord felt her walls contract around his cock and pulse, he was pulled down with her into the abyss of carnal bliss. Hot jets of his cum filled her in waves as his hips rocked forward with each one.
When it was over, the pair lay there, heaving and trying to catch their breath. Diavolo was the first to relax and gain his bearings again. He looked down at his human lover, feeling a wave of passion and simultaneous anxiety.
"My love... My love, look at me, please, baby," he cooed to her, stroking her cheeks with his hand.
Her eyes fluttered open. She looked relaxed at peace.
"We're done... Finis," he softly whispered to her, his hand rising up to pet her hair back. She nodded in understanding and let go of her iron grip on his shirt. "Are you okay? Does anything hurt?"
She shook her head and reached up with a trembling hand to touch his cheek next. He smiled and kissed her palm, reaching with his to grasp her hand gently. He bowed his head slightly to prompt her.
"I'm okay. No pain," she finally verbalized it for him.
"That's good. Shall I take you home so you can rest?" He asked her in a throaty murmur. She nodded. Standing upright, he reached for his red uniform coat and wrapped it around her as he pulled her up right. It was already long, and on her, the coat looked like a blanket and kept her decent. He then put himself back in order, slacks up and buckled, and shirt back in place.
He slid his arms beneath her and picked her up effortlessly in a princess carry.
She laid her head against his shoulder and asked him softly, "What about the rest of the day? My classes?"
Diavolo chuckled and shook his head, carrying her out of the door, snapping his fingers to use magic to reorganize the desk they just laid waste to with their fornication. "After that, you deserve some pampering and all the care I can give you." He then bent his head down to whisper to her, "Besides, those are the perks of being the lover of your headmaster, no? I make the rules, I say what goes."

We need more of modern/frat boy anakin !!
ooOOO BABY IM HERE TO DELIVERRRR
frat boy!anakin?? oh let’s go.
MINORS DNI 18+ ONLY
warnings: VERY OOC, modern au, Anakin is an ABSOLUTE fuck boy- like total player-, fem reader, brief mention of choking.
Tumblr media
oh he’s banging bitches out left and RIGHT. he doesn’t go a weekend without having some girl(s) in his dorm fOR SUREEEE
and it’s not like it’s a secret, all the girls Anakin has deemed hot and ‘fuckable’ think it’s a compliment and you often hear them share stories of their escapades with Anakin in class.
“girl! he had me bent over his kitchen counter” one girl whispers enthusiastically. “biiiitch that’s nothing, he had me on my knees begging him to fuck me.” another girl chirps. your face reddens.
you knew Anakin was hot. and so did he. i mean, i’d be cocky if i looked like that too, i’d definitely have the same track record, how could you not? right?!
“did he really do those things?” your mind races, flashes of him towering over you, his hand wrapped around your neck, your thighs encasing his face and-
your professor cut off your lewd, depraved thoughts about your classmate rather abruptly with tapping his ruler on the board, reading along with the words he wrote in chalk. honestly you can’t even form a coherent thought, how are you supposed to pay attention to your class when the six foot something, dirty blonde, blue eyed player has weaseled his way into your mind.
“ah. Mr. Skywalker. you’re late… again.” your professor sighed, snapping you out of your thoughts once again.
“oh sorry professor! family emergency.” he half assed smiled, knowing no one believed him. “i don’t want to hear the excuses, Mr. Skywalker. just take your seat.”
“yes, sir.” he chuckled sarcastically, you unknowingly let your eyes trace Anakin’s every step to his seat. he walked right by you, noticing your flushed expression and doe eyes. he smirked down at you, giving you the nod™️
class went by quickly, but ya know time flies when you’re thinking about getting bent over your desk. you stood up quickly to gather your bag, to your surprise, Anakin hands it to you before you could even lean down to grab the strap.
“hey, i’m having a party this weekend. wanna come?” his lip tucked between his teeth said everything you needed to know.

gn!reader | itadori, megumi, yuuta, gojo
note from nia: yes gojo's is inspired by me getting stuck in the middle of a packed train and stumbling into people. Good God. i Wish i fell onto gojo. humiliation
ITADORI stares dumbfounded at the board while the professor speaks, not taking in a single word. he leans back into his seat and begins to contemplate either 1) dropping this class for next year or 2) completely changing majors. but his eyes glance over to the person next to him, easily taking notes and managing to go on their phone in between. that’s when you feel a poke at your shoulder and turn around. he offers an almost embarrassed smile before whispering, “hey, sorry, do you understand what’s going on right now?” you lift a brow and nod, albeit confused. yuuji’s eyes light up and he scoots closer. “awesome! d’you think you could uh…teach me? after class? or—or whenever you’re free? i kinda need this class for my major and…” he trails off and points at his basically empty page. “i think i’m screwed.” your lips twitch at the doodle of him(?) with question marks floating above his head, but you manage to stop yourself from smiling, feeling bad enough for the guy. you nod again before taking his notebook and placing it on top of yours. yuuji watches as you write something down and pass it back to him. “it’s uh, my handle and number. whichever works better for you.” his eyes scan your writing and he grins—if it weren’t for the fact you were basically a stranger, he would have hugged you. “thanks! i’m yuuji by the way. what’s your name?”
MEGUMI’s grip tightens around his umbrella handle as he pulls his hood further over his head. he thinks it’s just his luck to get stuck out in the rain on his way to class and sighs. but before he can feel any worse for himself, he hears someone walking quickly from behind him. he moves over to make space, blinking when he notices they’re walking with only their hands over their head. “um, excuse me,” he calls out. you freeze and turn around to the boy who was very obviously more prepared for the weather than you. “yes?” “did you want…to walk together?” megumi feels his face flush a little as you blink at him and he clears his throat. “my umbrella’s big enough, and it seems like we’re headed the same way, so…” there’s a beat of silence as you continue to stare at him—you’re not sure what kind of prank the universe is playing to get you drenched then have a cute guy offer to walk with you, but you don’t think you’re in any place to complain. “yeah, sure, if you don’t mind,” you reply. megumi finally lets himself breathe and he catches up to you, making sure you were covered. “thank you,” you pause and look at him. it’s his turn to blink before offering a polite smile. “megumi. and don’t worry about it.”
YUUTA tries his best not to rely on caffeine to get through the day, but he’s more tired than usual when he wakes up, which is how he finds himself in line at the nearest starbucks to his class. he overhears the cashier say your total and starts to recite his own order in his head in preparation. “yeah, um…” your hands pause inside your pockets and you whisper, “oh my god.” you sigh and yuuta watches as your shoulders drop.  “i’m sorry, i don’t have my wallet,” you explain with a forced laugh. “you can—can you just cancel my order? sorry.” “i can pay for you,” yuuta speaks up before stepping forward. you stumble over your words as he turns to you with a smile before taking out his card. “i’ll pay for them. and, and for me, actually—” he quickly adds on his own order, and you watch as he taps his card against the machine. the both of you step aside for the next person to order and you fiddle with your fingers as you look at him. “you didn’t have to…” yuuta only shakes his head and waves his hands. “no, it’s fine! you probably need the energy if you’re here this early.” you let out a breath and smile at him. “thank you, really. i, um, promise i’ll pay for your order if you ever forget your wallet.” the both of you realize that'd be unlikely, but maybe it's the thought that counts. yuuta snorts before covering his mouth and laughing a little quieter. you laugh at his reaction, too, and his face warms at the sound. it makes him feel a little bolder—“do you wanna exchange numbers so i could hold you to that, then?”
GOJO watches as the train fills with more people and scoots himself into the corner. it’s to be expected when it’s the best timed for everyone’s 11am classes. he’s lucky, you think, as you step on and realize you’re stuck in the middle with nothing to hold onto. you try to balance yourself as best as you can, but there’s a turn that happens a little too quickly. you lose your footing, stumbling into the man behind you. “woah there,” he says, stopping you from hitting the door. “god, sorry—” you apologize, your face flushed as you look at him. “nah, don’t worry about it. you okay?” you nod and stand up properly again, widening your stance just a little. “yeah, sorry. i just have shitty balance, i guess,” you awkwardly laugh. gojo hums and tilts his head. “d’you wanna switch spots with me? promise i won’t smush you.” your mind is quickly filled with thoughts of how embarrassing it is for him to have to offer. but it’s probably more embarrassing how you stare with your mouth open to respond, realizing how attractive the guy in front of you actually is. he smiles at you, and you wonder if he can read your mind before you push yourself to reply. “are you sure?” gojo grins as he steps aside and bows a little. “it’d be my honour.” so you find yourself in the corner, your eyes flickering between out the window and to him. his voice startles you when he suddenly speaks, “so, what class are you going to, and would you mind if we walked together?”

Did I write an AU based on a McDonald's commercial? Somehow, yes. I...I don't even know, y'all. But here's a hopefully fun, fluffy thing.
*
Ava watches Beatrice walk into the McDonald’s, pristine gray and yellow polo tucked into ironed black pants, and thinks for about the thousandth time that nobody should be able to make a fast-food uniform look that fucking good.
“Yo, Silva,” a pen hits her helmet and falls to the concrete next to her. She doesn’t look but stretches her arm out behind her and flips the bird in the general direction of the voice. “Fuck off, JC.”
“Rude. Stop staring at your girlfriend and get back over here.”
“She’s not my girlfriend.” The response is rote at this point, because he makes some comment every fucking time they hang out here (and, yeah, sure, that’s because every fucking time they hang out here Ava stares at Beatrice or talks about Beatrice or daydreams about Beatrice but whatever) but she still winces at herself because she sounds like she’s five and also because she would rather not have to say Beatrice isn’t her girlfriend.
Reaching down to retrieve the pen, which is one he’d stolen from her earlier anyway, the dickhead, she turns back to him and says, “Go home, JC. I’m done for the day.”
“Aw, Ava, c’mon. We just got here.” It’s whiny and Ava’s the smallest bit endeared, as always, because he’s charming and guileless and really actually wants to spend time with her, even after she dumped him pretty unceremoniously when her interest in him flamed out about three weeks into their sort-of relationship. He’s giving her puppy-dog eyes and she rolls her own because he’s absolutely ridiculous. “We’ve been here for two hours, JC. You have study group with Zori soon anyway.”
He looks like he’s going to protest, but Chanel steps in. “Let’s go, doofus.” She wraps an arm around his shoulders and pulls and Ava smiles at her gratefully until she says, smirking, “Ava has to go make pathetic heart eyes at the pretty girl over an ice cream cone she doesn’t want.” “Hey, I always want ice cream.” It’s…not a great comeback, and she knows it, sighs when Chanel laughs loudly and turns to walk away with JC, a totally rude, “Yeah right,” serving as her goodbye. Ava’s undoing the strap of her helmet when Chanel nearly yells, still walking toward the bus stop, “Ask her out, you idiot!” Ava flinches and looks toward the entrance of the store, but nobody is there to hear the call-out.
Also, though, she’s totally going to do it. She’s going to ask Beatrice out. Today. Right now. Because she wants to and has wanted to for like six fucking weeks and because on Friday some girl, some stupidly hot girl, had been leaning over the counter and touching her and Beatrice had blushed and Ava had squeezed a ketchup packet so hard she’d ruined JC’s white tee and damaged her own dignity pretty badly in front of Mary and Lilith, who is terrifying and who had looked at her like a fucking Orca who had found a bunch of baby seals to snack on. Literally the only thing that had made the night okay was Camila, an absolute saint, texting Ava later to tell her Beatrice wasn’t going out with the girl even though she’d really tried but “Ava get it together already because she’s not going to wait forever and she shouldn’t! She’s great!” She is. Cam’s right. So. Yeah. It’s time.
Ava runs a hand through her hair and trades her helmet for her favorite cap, putting it on backward and clipping her helmet to her messenger. She takes stock. She’s wearing denim shorts and a black crop-top underneath one of her favorite button-downs, black and covered in colorful shapes. Her right knee is scabbed over from a fall last week and there’s a hole forming at the big toe of one of her black-and-white checked Vans. She wiggles her toe and sees the threads move, the tip of her lime green sock poking through. She looks like herself. She looks good.
She pushes her shoulders back and walks out of the park and into the parking lot, board in hand. It’s a Monday afternoon and school hasn’t let out yet, so when Ava walks in, dropping her board into the little stand by the door, hardly anyone is there. She sees a very stressed woman with three small children by the indoor playground and a dude messing with his phone and eating fries in the corner and that’s it. It’s great, because it means Ava won’t feel bad about trying to keep Beatrice talking to her for as long as possible (she really, really has it bad) but it’s shit because it means she has no buffer time.
And yep, she’s almost immediately greeted with an amused, “Hello, Ava.” Leaning against the drink station and looking like she’s about to have a really good time is Mary. Ava sighs and smiles, waves a little and fortifies herself for the shit she’s about to take. At least Lilith isn’t on today.
For reasons she isn’t totally clear on but thinks boil down to “queer fam helps queer fam get jobs,” this McDonald’s is staffed by like half of her History of Medieval Spain seminar. She’d felt like she was in a very realistic and mundane dream two weeks into the semester when she’d walked in from the new skate park to get an ice cream cone and been served by the hottie with color-coordinated notes who sat next to her on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 to 11am while the also hot but absolutely terrifying woman who sat across from her glaring at everyone filled fry containers and the smoke show who sat next to her manned the drive-in. (How her History of Medieval Spain seminar came to be fucking stacked with hot queer women is less of a mystery—Professor Suzanne “step on my throat” Superion draws a very particular kind of student and Ava couldn’t be happier to fall into that category.)
Mary makes a tv-gameshow-style motion at the soda machine behind her, as if offering a prize. “Thirsty?” She’s so fucking smug, and she’s also depressingly right, which makes it way worse. Ava looks at the children now snacking at the table with their keeper and resists the urge to flip Mary off, sticking her tongue out instead because she’s very mature.
Before Mary can respond, they’re interrupted. “Hello, Ava.” Ava smiles automatically, turns in the direction of the voice so fast she’s at risk of whiplash and blurts, loudly, “Hi Bea!” She bounds over to the counter and leans against it, palms pressed flat and body tilting forward. It’s a genuinely innocent act; she just wants to be closer to Beatrice, who’s standing behind the register. But she watches Bea’s eyes drift down and then guiltily snap back up and she knows that the position combined with her top also does great things for her tits. She preens a little, self-confidence growing, and says, “How’s my favorite ice-cream-magician-slash-Religious Studies-major today?”
It’s a lot, but whatever—she’s way past pretending she’s anything other than a lot and anyone who has an issue can go find less. And anyway, it gets exactly the reaction she wants: Beatrice’s cheeks tinge pink at her enthusiasm, a small, pleased smile appearing on her face like it does nearly every time Ava says something even remotely complimentary. It’s a little weird, because in class Beatrice is like, model student who knows it. She always pays attention and makes points so good that Superion writes them on the board and operates with a general level of confidence that does embarrassing things to Ava. Outside of class, though, Beatrice kind of folds into herself. It seems almost like she isn’t used to people seeing her, remembering her, being glad she’s there, and Ava thinks that’s fucking wild and absolutely wrong.
Beatrice deserves someone who will be loud about her. She thinks of the girl from Friday, with her beautiful cheekbones and her wandering hands, and of Beatrice’s blush, the one Ava did not appreciate seeing directed at someone else even if she was, in the better parts of herself, very glad to see Beatrice getting the attention she deserves. And, yes, totally, Beatrice deserves all of the attention but she wants to be the one who gets Beatrice’s attention. And she wants to be the one who gets to be loud about Beatrice in a respectfully possessive way. If Beatrice is down, of course. The girl in question is still smiling at her, and Ava’s body leans even further forward on instinct, drawn to the stupidly perfect human in front of her. Her palms catch her weight, her feet lifting slightly from the ground. Beatrice’s eyes don’t wander again, sadly, but her head tilts in this way that Ava thinks indicates affection, and she’ll take that, for sure.
Bea’s voice is teasing as she asks, “Do you know a lot of Religious Studies majors?”
Ava grins at her, grins bigger when Beatrice angles just slightly closer, which Ava might think was an unconscious move if Beatrice weren’t maybe the most intentional person on the planet (there are at least four colors in her highlighter system and Ava’s 95% sure she irons her t-shirts). “Nope. But I don’t need to to know that you’re my favorite and the best.”
Mary says, loudly, “I’m going on break.” She passes by them and adds, enjoying herself way too much, “Beatrice, I was just asking Ava here about a drink. I’m sure you can also see she’s incredibly thirsty. Must be the skateboarding.”
Ava glances at the kids, still working through a pile of french fries, and puts her feet back on the ground, angling her body against the register so that she can flip Mary off and keep it shielded from tiny human eyes and from Beatrice. She wants to tell her to lick rust. She says, instead, “Thanks so much for your concern.” Mary keeps her shit-eating grin and saunters outside.
When she turns back to the counter, Beatrice is looking over the register at Ava’s hand in amusement and okay so Ava apparently hadn’t hidden her finger as well as she’d thought but at least Bea seems to think it’s funny instead of off-putting. She had once admonished Ava, totally unironically, when Ava had let fly an admittedly impressive string of curses after realizing she left her coffee sitting on a table in the student union. The tone of that ”Language, Ava” had made Ava’s stomach drop in a very unexpected and pleasant way.
“The usual?” Her eyes are really fucking pretty.
“Yep. Yeah. Please.” As Beatrice turns to grab a cone Ava gets her shit together. Right. Yes. Go. “Actually, Bea.” She turns back holding a cone and smiles, eyebrow raised in question as she waits, and Ava wants to kiss her. “Would you want to go out with me sometime? In, like, a date way?”
Her smile is gone then and she’s blinking slowly and oh shit, did Ava mess up? Was Bea not interested? Was Bea not gay? There’s no way Beatrice hadn’t noticed her flirting because she had literally never been subtle and also Bea had just been staring at her boobs and talked to Ava and smiled at Ava and blushed at Ava more than anyone else? Or anyone else Ava had ever seen. And Cam said! And Mary wasn’t mean enough to let her make an ass of herself, right? Not like this. Lilith, maybe, but…
Ava has become distracted, staring at the kid’s meal toy display to Bea’s right as she spirals, and when she looks back, Beatrice’s mouth is twitching and her eyes are bright with amusement, and oh, shit. “Um,” she tries to run a hand through her hair and hits her hat. Smooth. “So, exactly how much of that did I say out loud?”
“I apologize for so obviously staring at your chest earlier.” Her tone is at least half genuinely apologetic but the rest of it is amused? Delighted? Something in that range and definitely at Ava’s expense and that’s fair given the gay panic monologue she’d apparently just spouted at her crush in her place of work.
“Jesus Christ,” she mumbles as she tilts her head back and rolls her eyes to the ceiling. After a breath she forces herself to look at Beatrice, who is fully smiling now. She throws the cone away and steps toward Ava again and then her hand is on Ava’s forearm, which she had crossed with the other over her chest in what was a totally ineffective attempt at self-preservation. Hard when the attack is coming from your own fucking mouth. Beatrice’s hand is warm and her fingers are calloused and Ava short circuits (whatever fucking circuits are left) at the contact, staring in disbelief until Beatrice says softly, still amused, “I would love to go out with you sometime.”
“Yeah?” It’s the most she can manage. The fingers over her arm squeeze just slightly and Ava knows if Bea pushed even a little bit she’d fall right fucking over. “Yes.” Warm brown eyes meet hers as she takes her hand back. Ava misses the contact immediately.
“Cool. Um, maybe Thursday? Dinner?” Bea doesn’t usually work Thursdays and Ava’s shift at the gym near campus ends at 3pm so she’ll have time to go home and shower and lose it a bit over what to wear but not so much time that she’ll be able to talk herself into a full panic.
“Thursday works perfectly.” Ava pulls her messenger around and rummages for her phone, pulling it out and handing it to Bea. Based on what she knows from class and a lot of longing stares, Beatrice keeps all her stuff as neat and tidy as she keeps her uniform. So, she’s pretty sure her own phone is something out of Bea’s nightmares. One corner of the screen is shattered and scratches dot the rest while the back, an ice blue color Ava really likes, is covered in spidery lines from way too many drops and impacts suffered in Ava’s pocket at the park. Still, she can’t be fucked to get a case because it’s pretty and sleek and smooth(ish, at this point). Beatrice’s lips purse slightly but she says nothing, taking it, entering her number, and calling herself before handing it back. She removes her own phone, in its pristine black case, and immediately creates a new contact.
A group of teenagers comes through the door, loudly, followed closely by Mary, and Ava watches as Beatrice sets her shoulders. It’s very cute. Ava is going to date her. Incredible. “I’ll text you.”
Her smile breaks and her face is suddenly concerned. Ava’s nervous until: “Your ice cream. I completely forgot.”
Ava grins and waves her phone, nearly drops it and is stupidly charmed by the little flinch from Beatrice at the fumble. “Got something way sweeter.”
Beatrice shakes her head and half hides a smile, cheeks pink. Ava’s feeling very proud when she hears a loud groan from Mary, who’s stepping behind the counter again. “Absolutely not, Silva. Get out of here with that.”
Ava smiles at Beatrice one last time before basically skipping out, grabbing her board. She almost eats it three separate times because she’s so distracted on the way home, but she’s not even a little mad about it.
It’s both awesome and kind of torture to see Bea the next morning in class. They sit next to each other, like always, and Ava manages to keep it mostly together, flirting only slightly more than usual and letting her knee press into Bea’s below the table for most of class, the barely-there red under her freckles the only sign she’s even aware of the contact. She works an extra shift on Wednesday because she wants that date money and JC could give a shit about giving it up, only works because his parents make him even though they give him a shit-ton of spending money anyway.
It’s a bummer not to see Bea but she’s also texting her kind of non-stop. She started Tuesday night when she got home:
What’s Dracula’s favorite ice cream?
She didn’t expect a fast response, imagined Bea was busy with the flood of students and families who came in after work and school, so she was a little surprised to see Bea’s name pop up twenty minutes later: Blood orange?
Have you had blood orange ice cream?
No, but I am sure it exists. Not the answer then?
A good guess but no. It’s…
Vein-illa
Three eye roll emojis. And then a truly terrible joke about snails. It had gone on from there, intermittent jokes and also little snippets of actual conversation. It’s still happening Wednesday night as Ava gets ready for bed. She settles and then nearly hurls herself out of bed in excitement when she reads Bea’s latest text: Goodnight, Ava. I’m really looking forward to tomorrow. From most people, it wouldn't be much, might even be discouraging. Ava knows Beatrice well enough at this point to know that from her, it might as well be fifteen firework emojis and twenty-seven exclamation points. She doesn’t bother to play it cool, as fucking if she would do anything other than encourage way more of that, and sends back immediately: Night, Bea. Me too. Really really. Along with three mutlicolored hearts.
She knows something is wrong the next morning when she gets to class because Beatrice is waiting outside of the classroom staring at her shoes and gripping the straps of her backpack (both over her shoulders, tightened evenly) as if they’ve personally offended her. When Ava gets close, Bea looks up and smiles unevenly and says, “I’m so sorry, Ava. I can’t go tonight. Lilith got the flu and I have to cover her shift.”
It sucks, of course, but Bea’s looking at her like she’s done something unforgivable, like she’s waiting for Ava to tell her off. Not for the first time, Ava wonders where exactly Bea comes from and what kind of shitheads she’s used to. She walks closer, slowly, smiles as gently as she can and takes a risk, reaching forward to tuck an escaped strand of Bea’s hair behind her ear and letting her hand skim Bea’s jaw as she pulls back. Bea’s eyes are big and her face is more relaxed, even if she does look a little confused and her hands are still white-knuckling the straps of her bag.
She keeps it simple, pretty sure Beatrice needs it. “Wanna try for this weekend instead?”
A few people file past them into the room and Ava knows they need to go sit or incur the wrath of Superion, whose anger is hotter in theory than in practice. She takes another chance, reaches up to tug at Bea’s left hand and laces their fingers. When Beatrice allows it, flexes her fingers lightly between Ava’s, Ava pulls them into the classroom, smiling a little at Bea’s still-wide eyes. She appears to have come back to herself by the time they reach their seats, squeezing Ava’s hand in an intentional way before taking off her backpack and settling in. As Superion gathers her notes, Beatrice leans closer, pressing her knee into Ava’s as she says quietly, “How does Saturday night work for you?” Ava beams.
Saturday morning she ends up, surprise surprise, at the skate park with JC, riding a little aimlessly and doing some reading for her Russian Lit class while he dicks around in the bowl. When he dips after a few hours, elbowing her just a little too hard as he tells her to have fun with Beatrice that night, Ava smiles like an idiot while he laughs.
Her stomach rumbles around noon and as she eyes the empty drive-thru, she makes a plan. Yeah, okay, so she’s gonna see Beatrice tonight but she wants to see her now and she’s right there and also, Ava’s legit hungry and it’s not even busy. So. She’s gonna get a fucking cheeseburger.
When she pays, Camila grins and Ava shrugs one shoulder as she says, “Cute, Ava.” When she rolls up to the window, Beatrice blinks in surprise and then shakes her head a little and the edges of her mouth tick up. “We’re not supposed to let you order on foot you know.”
Ava takes the burger and pops her board conspicuously. “Four wheels, baby. Totally counts as a vehicle.”
“Pathetic, Silva!” Mary calls over Bea’s shoulder and Ava shrugs again, winking at Bea before she rides off.
It takes her no time to finish the burger, and there are still no cars in the line, so she finds herself ordering fries, smiling at Camila as she laughs and bracing her arms on the window as Beatrice gets her order, her cheeks a shade darker this time around. Ava tips her helmet at Bea and says, as she takes her snack, “I only have fries for you.”
“Get out of here immediately with that.” Mary’s closer this time, swats at Ava from around Bea’s back, but the look on Bea’s face is open and affectionate and she’s so fucking handsome and Ava wants more of it. A lot more of it.
It takes slightly longer to finish the fries but luck is on her side because it’s still slow when she does, so she rolls through yet again. When Beatrice hands her the coffee, both eyebrows raised but still blushing, Ava says, easy, “I got thirsty.”
“You’ve been thirsty, Silva. Go away.” There’s no bite to it, and Mary doesn’t swat at her this time, just turns and walks toward the fryers shaking her head. Turning her attention back to Bea, Ava fidgets a little as she asks, “See you soon?” Bea bites her bottom lip and nods and Ava thanks bisexual Jesus that she only nearly face plants on her way down the drive.
It gets busy, of course, so Ava parks it outside and finishes her coffee and reads. She’s getting ready to go change for her date date date when she hears, “Ma’am. Your ice cream.” Ava’s up in a second, delighted as Beatrice holds the cone out to her and ducks her head. Ava can’t help but stare as she takes it, feels some drip down onto her hand. Beatrice’s hair is down, over one shoulder, and the sun is setting and wow .
“Your cone is going to melt.” Beatrice is looking at her now, a little flustered. “I might, too, if you keep looking at me like that.” Ava takes her hand, carefully but with more confidence than she had earlier that week, and offers, “Walk you to the bus stop? I know it’s traditional to walk someone home after a date but like, I can do before, too, right?” Beatrice brings their bodies slightly closer together as they start toward the sidewalk. “I’d like that."

Tumblr media
Pairing: Katsuki Bakugo x F!Reader
Warning: Cursing, angst, fluff,
Summary: Having a crush on the dirty blonde was hard enough as it was. Him treating you like a friend was obvious to him except for you.
Authors' note: This was a random one I had it in mind but didn't think I'd end up finishing it until now. Hope you enjoy! Feedback is appreciated as always 🌷

"Are you sure you like that?" Mina questioned as she saw the person you liked fighting with another friend of yours. "I mean no judgement here, everyone has their likes but- come on why do you like him? You're the opposite of him!"
You shrugged looking down at your desk, playing with your fingers. "He has his... well his own defaults I mean who doesn't, right?"
"Yeah but still," she turned her chair to fully face you. "Bakugo is a loud individual. Compared to you, you are quiet and nice. You don't hesitate to help anyone out while he- well..."
Mina wasn't trying hard to berate him persay but it was difficult to even come up with good things. Although they may be acquainted enough sometimes it was difficult to describe him.
"What you think as loud I think he's..." you bit your lip trying to come up with a good definition.
"See!" she exclaimed, "You can't even finish your train of-"
A smile rested on your lips, a total change from your thinking face, as if you had made up your mind already. "He's passionate. Bakugo sees ahead of his own future, he wants to keep climbing to the top to get better."
"And you don't think that might be... I don't know a bit of an obstacle? I mean the guy is clearly focused on only becoming a top hero." Mina explained resting her chin on her open palm. "Wouldn't that be hard in a relationship?"
Your lips parted to speak but looked away feeling too shy to say anything. Mina was already thinking ahead of the whereabouts of your relationship while you had only been focused on what to say to him.
"I-I don't know what might happen Mina." You stuttered.
She sighed, "You need to confess to him the sooner you do the better it will be so your little heart can finally rest at ease."
"Who says my heart isn't at ease?"
"Me."
Chuckling you nodded, "I'll do my best to do that."
During lunch you took your regular seat beside Todoroki while Iida sat down next to Midoriya and Uraraka.
"Are we all going to pair up for the project then?" Todoroki asked as he began to eat his cold soba noodles.
"I assume everyone by now has chosen groups?" Iida asked as he broke apart his chopsticks to eat.
"I think we're all on board as a group." Uraraka answered.
"(name)?"
"Hm?" you looked up to see everyone at the table looking at you. "Uh..."
"Are you okay with being part of the group?" Todoroki asked. "Or did you have already a group you wanted to be with?"
"Oh um... actually-"
"She's part of our group."
You turned around to see Bakugo with his hands in his pockets, walking over to your table along with Kirishima and Mina.
"She is?" Todoroki questioned with narrow eyes, not fully believing him.
Kirishima chuckled sheepishly rubbing the back of his head, "Well we actually asked her if she wanted to be part of our group."
"(name), Ochako!" Mina ran over to you both and hugged you tightly.
"Whatever she didn't say no to begin with." Bakugo said stopping in front of you. Looking down at you, he spoke in a calmer tone. "You are joining us aren't you?"
"I... well-"
Mina wrapped her arm around your neck and whispered into your ear. "Say yes, this will be a great chance to spend time with him. I mean come on look at him changing his voice just to talk to you!"
Biting your bottom lip, you tried to think about her suggestion. it would be a great way to get to know him better and he does want you to join them after all.
Smiling softly you nodded at him. "Sure, if that's alright with everyone?"
"It's not a problem." Midoriya smiled at you.
"We can all hang out and work on our projects together in the living room!" Uraraka suggested.
"That sounds like an excellent way to lend each other a hand if needed." Iida added.
"Then it settled! You are with us, (name)!" Mina exclaimed excitedly.
You chuckled leaning into her touch as your eyes travelled up to look at the dirty blonde, who faintly smiled as he looked at Kirishima and at you.
It was more than just him being kind to you whenever you were around. Bakugo became attentive, if you needed something simple like a pencil or an eraser he would notice and hand you one instantly.
Every time you handed it back to him he insisted you kept it. To him a writing utensil was something insignificant. He could always get one again or an extra pack if he needed to. Even then if it was the last one he had he most always let you borrow it.
Or at times when you two partner up to train during hero studies he gave it his all, never holding back. if at some point you began to doubt yourself he would encourage you.
Being a hero with such a simple quirk could at times be troubling when you see people like Bakugo, someone who was blessed with a powerful quirk.
You had confided it to him one random day as you made your way to school together. You thought you had embarrassed yourself but was surprised instead when Bakugo started to say the opposite.
"Why are you always looking or thinking at what others think?" He looked straight ahead as he spoke. "There's going to be someone better than you that's something you can't stop. Even so, your quirk is useful in situations where mine isn't. You were able to stop that fire from growing at the training camp. Not only that it helped the others escape."
"Well yeah but those actions are only useful during an emergency, when it comes to fighting villains-"
"Then train." Bakugo stopped walking and turned to really look at you. "I've seen you staying after school to improve your quirk. You're already doing half the work the others aren't. If you want to really amp up your quirk then try different things, come up with an ultimate move."
"But it's water-"
"Water is a vile ingredient needed to do certain things... doesn't mean it isn't powerful enough to end villains. You can use it to drown villains as well."
"Drown? Doesn't that mean they die?..."
"You won't kill them, it's not like you have it in you to even do so." Bakugo smiled, "I'll help you. I'll make sure your quirk gets better than it already was."
You looked at him with wide eyes, "Really?..."
He nodded "We'll start training after school."
"Okay!"
"(name)."
Maybe there was a chance that he did feel the same?
"(name)!"
"What?!" you retorted looking around your surroundings to see Mina next to you.
"I've been calling your name and you wouldn't budge." She sighed sitting with criss crossed legs. "What's up?"
"N-nothing I promised!"
Mina gave you a "really" kinda looked knowing you weren't even close to telling the truth.
Bakugo stood up from his seat next to Kirishima and walked over to where you were. "Hey, can you help me with doing some research for this part?" He asked sitting down in between you and Mina, slightly pushing her a bit to the side.
"Hey, I was sitting there!"
He ignored her and solely focused on you.
You mouthed her a sorry.
"Sure, can I see what is it that you need help with?"
"I tried searching up about this part of the island but nothing came up." He explained as you grabbed your laptop and typed into the search icon. "I only found out the date but other than that the geography info was absent."
"Hmm..." you bit your bottom lip in concentration as you scrolled down the countless results.
You could feel his breath tickling the back of your neck, you tried your best to ignore it but it was impossible.
"I-I only see the information you got."
Bakugo cursed under his breath, "What the hell was the point in assigning us this dumb island if there's not enough information."
"Maybe we can check out the online library? There's websites that put historical information for everyone to read."
"The encyclopedia?"
You nodded ticking a piece of hair behind your ear. "Well yeah... I mean there's nothing wrong with trying that. We might find more info on there than searching up on the engine."
"Alright let me grab a pen-"
You dug into your pouch of pencils and pens, taking out the one he had loaned you a long time ago.
"You still have this?" He took the pen from your hand, looking at it thoroughly to see it was still in good condition.
"Yeah, I didn't want to lose it in case you might want it back one day." You shyly looked away, "I figured it could come in handy if you... or someone else might need one."
A faint smile rested on his lips, "You're the first one to even care enough to keep it the same way. I handed one to Kaminari and he lost it the same day."
Chuckling you nodded, "I saw the way you looked at him that day. I kinda fell bad when he looked scared."
He slightly smirked. "That idiot was lucky I wasn't able to do anything to him."
"That's cause you choose to not doing anything bad to him." You teased, "I can tell you care about them even if they annoy you at times."
"I-I do not!" He retorted looking away from you for the first time.
"Mhmm." You smiled looking back to your computer screen and searched up the names island on the encyclopedia page. "Well good news."
"Did you find the info?"
"Yup!" Pushing the laptop closer to him, you pointed out at the info you were able to gather on one part of the screen. "It has the location, scenery, acres, weather, and seasonal food as well."
"You're amazing." He breathed out, "I should have asked you a long time ago instead of suffering with the research."
Your eyes sparkled hearing him complimenting you. "You can count on me for anything. You know that right?"
"Yeah." Bakugo smiled to himself as he started to write down the most important focal points for the project. "How's your move coming along by the way?"
"Hmm..." looking down at your lap you said, "It's not as perfect as I hoped it would be, I still need to practice more to perfect it."
"Stop thinking that it isn't enough." He said looking from the screen to his notebook from time to time. "I've seen your move it's coming more perfectly together than you think. All you need is someone to try it out on."
Leaning forward you said, "And who should I ask?"
"I'm appalled that you haven't thought about asking me." Bakugou mumbled.
"I did think about asking you... among other things." You mumbled the last few words. "I wasn't sure if you wanted to since well... you have helped me enough already."
"You're an idiot." Placing the notebook and pen down he turned his body to look at you. "I already told you I'd help you out with your quirk. I don't see why you are still hesitant to ask me anything."
Your heart fluttered, it felt like he was looking deeply into you with those red orbs that shined brightly under the light. Bakugo held such an important part in your heart and as time keeps passing by you are only falling harder for him.
Taking a deep breath, you exhaled. Your voice slightly shaking, "A-actually now that you mention it I do want to-"
"(name), hey." You both looked to the left and saw Todoroki. "Sorry am I interrupting something?"
Bakugo became irritated. "Is it a habit for you to interrupt our every damn conversation, icy hot?"
"I'm actually a close friend to her, am I not allowed to talk to her?"
"Of course you are!" You butted in, trying to deescalate the situation before it turned badly pretty quickly. "Was it something that you needed?"
"Cold you help me make some tea for everyone?"
"You interrupted our damn conversation for some tea?!" Bakugo retroted.
"It's alright." You said trying to calm the dirty blonde down. "I'd love to give you a hand."
Todoroki extended a hand out to you, you gently accepted his offer and stood up.
"What type of tea are we making?"
"I'm not sure they said they did not mind the flavor."
"Bakugo, I assume you want green tea?" You asked.
"Always." He proudly said.
"We'll be back in a bit then."
You fell in step with the bi color haired friend as you made your way towards the kitchen.
"Do you think Momo has any tea left?" You asked walking over to the cabinet and opening it.
"Do you like Bakugo?"
You held your, breath as your movements stopped. Silence filling the small common kitchen.
Todoroki stood by the kitchen counter looking at you intently.
"I..." you cleared your throat taking the tea box and closing the counter. "I think y-you might... have gotten the wrong idea-"
"I'm not judging you for it if that's what you think I'm doing."
"What?..."
He added, "I wanted to ask because I've noticed you being around him more than usual. I hadn't thought anything about it but when I asked Fuyumi she explained that it was something someone did when they like a person."
"Are you..." you turned to face him but looked away. "Do you think... t-that it's silly?"
"Not at all... I mean it is normal is it not?" He asked, "I've never really liked anyone before... but shouldn't you let him know?"
"I want to..." you crossed your arm over the other holding it, "I have such a great time talking with him and being around him lifts my mood up more than I thought. No one has ever made me feel like that before."
"I see..." he muttered. "Bakugo isn't an easy person is he?"
"He has his moments where he does get angry over things we kinda don't really understand well." You answered, "Bakugo has many different sides to him. At times he can get flustered over things he gets wrong or misinterprets. As opposed to him fighting against a friend or rival, he gives it his all and doesn't hesitate his moves."
The more you talked about him, your heart started to beat rapidly against your chest. "Don't get me wrong sometimes it is hard to decipher what he means but he's grown and changed. He has started to see what it feels like to accept those around you as friends and not rivals. Slowly but surely I feel he will be the type to save and win."
"You talk about him with such passion..." Todoroki looked down at the his feet, a sad smile covering his lips. "I'm kinda jeaous."
"I guess it's what it means when you like someone... that's something I never really came to understand until now."
"I don't want to bring you any doubts, you're someone Bakugo would be lucky enough to have in his life."
"But?..."
He sighed, "I think you'd be someone he needs for him to become better. But... Bakugo right now is engrossed with becoming the best."
"So?..." you said looking at him. "I don't want to distract him and I-I won't... I just want to be someone who he can depend on when things go south. Or someone he can be himself around when he's tired of acting strong all the time."
"It's true what Midoriya said about you." Smiling softly he looked up at him, "You are someone who people can trust... you're just enough and more at the same time. I really hope things go your way, (name)."
"Thank you, Todoroki." Smiling widely you placed the boxes of tea in front of him. "Which tea should we make?"
"How about this one? It seems like a nice flavor."
Bakugo walked away from the kitchen door, his hands stayed deep in his pockets in thought. A look of confusion and realization, as he kept replaying the conversation in his head.
After you finished half of the project for the day you got up packing your things to head back to your room.
"I think we made great progress today!" Mina spoke stretching her arms above her head.
"I agree we will for sure get finished by Friday." Uraraka chimed in.
"Ohh we can go to a nearby cafe where they sell the yummiest sweets!"
Midoriya chuckled closing up his backpack, "Sounds like a good place to go to then."
"I won't be able to go I apologize." Iida spoke up, "I'll be helping my brother out this weekend."
"No worries I'm glad to hear that your brother is getting better." You said holding your laptop and books in your arms.
"Same here it's a good sign." Todoroki said.
Iida smiled. "Thank you, we are glad as well."
You bid each other goodbye and walked your separate ways. A yawn escaped from your lips as you walked towards the elevator.
"(name) can we talk for a sec?"
A soft smile formed on your lips seeing Bakugo. "Sure, do you want to go to my room-?"
"I'd like to talk here if tht's alright."
"Okay." You said confused, "Is everything alright?"
Bakugo stood quietly trying to gather his thoughts. He had a plan in mind already on how to say what he wanted to, but nothing wanted to come out.
Frustration ran through his body, he rubbed his face getting irritated with himself.
Worry began to show on your face, "Bakugo... is something going on?"
"I need to tell you something." He said.
"What is it?"
Even then you stayed quiet looking at him, waiting patiently until he was ready to speak.
He let out a long breath before ripping off the band-aid, his eyes focused on you with such sadness.
“I like you. I really do, but not in the way you want me to.”
You blinked rapidly trying to process the words you heard. Your body moving two steps backwards in shock and in pain.
"I-" you could feel your eyes swelling with tears, knowing he already found out about your crush.
Bakugo felt guilty, hurting you was never in his plan when he started to care about you.
"I... overheard you and icy hot talking in the kitchen." He explained, "I went to talk to you about the project but I heard my name and stayed there instead. I-I know it probably wasn't something I was supposed to hear and I'm sorry I did."
"I should have... been more careful..."
He looked at you with sad eyes, "Maybe in the future I’ll see you as more than just a friend but right now…" Bakugo softly sighed, "I’m sorry.”
"I thought... t-that... I mean you were so nice to me." You sniffled trying not to raise your voice at him. "You're never like that to everyone else! Every time I needed help with something you were there... I-I don't understand."
"I care about you, that's why I didn't hesitate to lend you a hand."
"Really?... You only care about me as a friend?"
Bakugo ran his fingers through his hair, "Right now... that's the only thing I feel for you."
"I'm sorry but I don't believe you." You said, "I can't be the only one to have misinterpreted anything. I know you Bakugo. I've watched you everyday and have been around enough to know that you don't treat a friend like that!"
"I do! Okay?"
"Are you afraid to say what you actually feel?" You stepped forward your eyes trying to search his own for an answer.
"I-I'm not!" He exclaimed and exhaled out. "I can't reciprocate your feelings, I'm sorry that you began to fall for me. But I do not feel the same way and I hope you realize that."
It was no point.
Bakugo wasn't going to come clean or face the way he feels. Someone like him wasn't going to admit it anytime soon, and you were only going to lose in the end.
"Alright..." your grip tightened around your books. "I won't pester you or say anything again."
"I really do care about you... I hope we can at least keep being friends-"
"I can't promise you that I'll be okay enough to treat you as a friend." You said wiping away your tears. "My feelings for you are too strong and it hurts to even look at you right now after knowing how you really feel."
"(name)." He extended his arm out to comfort you but let it fall seeing you retreat yourself back from his touch.
"I have to go." You turned your back to him and decided to take the stairs to your room instead.
Pain was all you could feel inside of you. It was as if someone had taken out your whole heart and had gotten rid of it. You felt hollow. And what hurt the most were the memories that kept replaying in your mind from all the times you had spend together with him.
The countless times you both shared smiles or even laughed at the weirdest things. When you fell asleep during one of your study sessions and he carried you back to your room. It felt like a dream, feeling his warmth close to you.
You shut your eyes tightly in hopes to stop the headache that was beginning to form along with the endless tears. Your vision started to become blurry, as you slowly made your way up to your floor.
A quiet sob escaped from your lips, your steps slowing down. The floor was empty making your crying to appear louder than it truly was.
"I-I have to let him g-go..." you muttered, leaving a trail of tears on the wooden floor.
"(name)!"
Oh great.
"I saw you two talking and didn't want to interrupt," Mina said smirking. "How did it go-" As you got closer to her she noticed your tears, concern covered her whole face instead. "(Name)... what happened?..."
You shook your head, crying louder than before. Mina immediately wrapped her arms around you, hugging you tightly. Her hand caressing the back of your head in order to comfort you.
"H-he doesn't feel the same way..." You blurted out burying your face in her shoulder.
"Oh sweetie..."
She opened the door to your room and helped you inside, telling her everything that happened and all the things that were said.
Mina ended up feeling bad and apologized for pushing you to confess to him. Although you knew you wanted to wait you did not carry any resentment or hate towards her or Bakugo. She meant well, that much you knew.
The following days became a bit awkward whenever you two showed up together or ran into each other with one of your other friends.
"So... how did everyone do on the test?" Koda asked smiling nervously as he along with everyone could feel the tension in the room.
"I did good!" Kaminari answered confidently. "I was actually able to answer all the questions without thinking so hard about them."
"Tch... isn't that what you do everyday?" Bakugo spoke looking down at his plate not fully grabbing food with his chopsticks.
"Why are you so mean?!" He retorted, "You'll see when we get our tests back!"
"The study method you came up with actually helped me a lot with math." Todoroki mentioned as he looked at you.
"Really?" You slightly smiled. "I'm glad to hear that it worked, I was kinda doubtful since I have never tutored anyone before."
"Oh that's right," Midoriya added. "You usually study by yourself."
"Y-yeah I can't really teach someone that well..."
Bakugo looked over where you sat closely in between Todoroki and Iida. His eyes falling over to you once in awhile, remembering how you'd always sit beside him.
"I've been meaning to ask." Hagakure finished her food before she asked, "Did you end up accepting that date from the second year?"
"Date?.." Bakugo mumbled under his breath.
Kirishima nodded leaning into the blonde's side and whispered.
"(name) got a confession in her shoe locker this morning." He explained, "They ended up meeting together at the roof top."
Bakugo clenched a fist tightly under the table, feeling an ache in his chest. Lately he had been wanting no, hoping that you'd talk to him again. To have a conversation like you used to, instead you had been spending more time with Todoroki than you used to, while ignoring him at all costs.
So it was a surprise when he opened his mouth without thinking.
"That's such a sorry way to give in to someone asking you out." His eyes widened hearing the words coming from his own lips.
As he looked up at you, his eye lids dropped seeing the hurt he had caused you.
A sigh escaped from your lips, placing your chop sticks down on the table. "I never said that I was going to accept it and go out with someone who I don't feel the same way about." You continued and looked at him with empty eyes. "Even if I did there's nothing wrong with doing so. Everyone is entitled to go out with anyone they'd like and so do I."
Getting up from your seat you grabbed your plate and headed to the kitchen without another word. Todoroki got up to follow you but Midoriya pulled on his arm, stopping him from doing so.
Kirishima nudged Bakugo at his side and pointed with his eyes to where you were. He nodded getting up, trying to ignore the stares that followed his every move as he walked to you.
You were getting ready to leave when he walked in.
"(name)-"
Ignoring him you walked passed him, hoping to not engage in a conversation that he himself did not even want to have in the first place.
Bakugo stopped you of course holding your wrist, "Can we talk?." You didn't budge of course. "Please?"
"Fine..." You mumbled stepping back with arms crossed and leaned against the counter not looking at him.
"I'm sorry for saying... all that back there. I crossed the line."
"No," you titled your head to look at him. "You crossed everything, Bakugo. It wasn't your place to say anything when it's not your life. You had no excuse to say all that to me."
"I know...I screwed up and I'm sorry." He breathed out holding on to the bridge of his nose with both hands. "You're right... it's your life and I don't have a say in anything."
"For once I agree." Sighing you shook your head with sad eyes. "Why did you though?... There's nothing going on between us. You rejected me a-and... that should only happen when you have feelings for someone."
Did he have feelings?
Had Bakugo realized how he truly felt about you?
"I-I don't know... what came over me."
"Well until you figure it out..." You bit your bottom lip contemplating on whether to stay quiet or finally finish everything. For your sake and his. "Please do me a favor and don't butt into anything that has to do with me."
"I thought we were going to be able to be friends-"
"I didn't agree."
Bakugo stepped forward, "I know that but in the future we could be (name)."
"I can't stay friends with someone I'm trying to get over still." You spoke feeling tears starting to cover your eyes, crying was the last thing you wanted to do. "I was hopeful that we might one day but the way you're acting is trying to tell me something else, something you're not even sure you are even able to say it yourself."
"(name)-"
"No.." you exhaled a long breath hoping to stabilize your voice. "I-I'm not going to wait around and hoping that you'll come around not with these- these mixed signals you keep sending me. That's how you were when we were friends Bakugo. I can't keep second guessing everything. I'm tired. I don't want to live or be around someone like that."
"W-what are you saying..." He softly spoke looking at you with shiny eyes.
"It's best if we j-just communicate when it's needed." You stated knowing it was the right thing to do even though it hurt everything inside of you. "I need to move on... you need to focus on being the hero you want. We'll be acquaintances... only talk when need to. Nothing more... nothing less."
"Are you seriously going to throw away the friendship we built?"
"No you are, Bakugo." You said, "You could have been honest about how you really felt but chose not to. I can't keep playing that mind game of yours whether you do it intentionally or not. All it'll ever lead to is me getting hurt... again."
You turned to leave but he held your wrist tightly, "(name)..."
Your name sounded so sweet coming from his lips, something you wish you'll be able to forget.
"Let me go..."
Bakugo nodded, letting you go. He could only watch as you walked further away from him.
He harshly wiped away his tears with his forearm, feeling the swelling of pain in his chest again.
"Fuck... I do like you (name)."

Neytiri x reader - learning about you
Tumblr media
Could I please request an avatar imagine where the reader is part of the avatar programme, jakes sibling, and deaf, and when Neytiri saves them both, she is protective of the reader who has an interest in na’vi culture and the two share a sibling like bond? - Anon 💜
A/N: na’vi will be in italics and sign language will be in bold
You were mesmerised by everything on Pandora, you were captivated it by all. Never had you seen such beauty before in your life.
Following behind your older brother, you hand your hand on the back of his wheelchair as he led you down the hallways while you looked around, taking everything in.
You were taken to a lab, and Jake stopped making you stop and look down at him.
Can you find her?
Looking around, you nodded your head and pointed across the room, going over to look at your avatar.
She was stunning, deep blue skin, little white dots that could almost resemble fireworks, beautiful black hair and a thin long tail.
While you were admiring your own avatar, you weren’t aware of someone trying to talk to you, but Jake heard it and turned away from Grace who was explaining basic things to him.
“Uhm Norm? She can’t hear you.”
Norm stopped and stepped away from you, turning to your brother.
“Seriously?”
“Deaf since birth, hold on.”
Jake pulled a small ball from his pocket and threw it at you, hitting you in the back of the head making you frown as turned around.
You stuck your middle finger up at him, grabbing the ball you walked over and handed it back.
What the hell was that for?
Jake stuffed the ball in his pocket.
I’m going to introduce everyone.
And he did, he told you everyone’s names in sign, and you rolled your eyes at the names he had given them before pulled a whiteboard and pen from your bag.
You scribbled something on it and flipped it around.
‘Sorry, can you write down your names? Jackass here thought it would be funny to give you sign names instead.’
“Seriously?” Grace sighed to him.
She took the board from you writing down her name, Norm and Max did the same and you nodded, making a mental note of it before rubbing them out.
You looked back at the group and Grace motioned for the board so you handed it over to her, letting her write something down before handing it back.
‘Did you do the training programme?’
You nodded to her before rubbing out the sentence and wrote something else to show her.
‘I did, yes. Also I can lip read, I’ll just use this to reply.’
You looked at her for confirmation and when she had read it she nodded and you set it aside so you could watch her talk.
“They’ll be ready for you to trail run them tomorrow. For now try teach that moron some of what you know otherwise he’s going to be totally useless to us.”
You nodded and turned to Jake.
You’re useless.
He scoffed, flipping you off and you smirked down at him.
The rest of the day went without a hitch, you attended a meeting which you didn’t pay attention too, you tried teaching Jake some stuff he needed to know and he wasn’t paying attention.
When the next day came, you found yourself excited to join with your avatar, to become na’vi.
Waiting by your pod, you leant over it to look at Jake getting into his.
Do you think I’ll be able to hear?
Guess we’ll find out, if you can hear I can walk.
You grinned a little, both of you were beyond excited and you quickly climbed into your pod, watching Grace’s lips carefully as she spoke about what you needed to you.
You knew all of this, but getting told again was never a bad thing.
The pod closed and you closed your eyes, taking a deep breath as you waited for the link to connect.
You weren’t sure if it took a long time or if it was quick, but soon enough you were opening your eyes with people staring down at you, but the whole room was quiet and you frowned a little.
Your ears flickered as you tried to pick up on the sound but you couldn’t, and you turned your head to the side to look at your brother who was sitting up to look at you.
“(Y/N)…?” He asked softly.
You shot up in surprise, ears flickering again, tail swishing an you heard some doctors cry out for you to stop and calm down.
“(Y/N)?” Jake grinned a little.
You smiled wildly, banging your hands against the table in excitement, you could hear him.
“You can hear! You can hear me!” He laughed.
Jake stood up on uneasy legs and you did the same, crushing him into a hug which he happily returned and despite the doctors wanting you both to lay down they couldn’t help but smile.
You pulled away and sat down like they wanted you too, but Jake had other plans, he ran away and Norm chased after him while you waited for the doctors to finish doing their checks.
One of them walked over handing you a tablet.
“Since you’ve been deaf since birth we aren’t sure if you can learn to talk, but in your avatar body you can head. We had our doubt about it to be honest. We’ve got you this so you can communicate.”
You smiled and nodded thanks, flicking your eyes to the door and she stood aside, letting you leave.
You were amazed by how it looked outside, all the sights but especially the sounds.
You focused on everything, trying to focus on one thing at a time but you couldn’t, and it began to get overwhelming, so to try and fix it you covered your ears but it did nothing.
“I had a feeling this would happen, here.”
Grace appeared and handed you something, gesturing for you to put it in your ears so you did, and it dimmed all the noise to just background noise.
“It’ll take a while for you to get used to hearing, but you can still sign, or talk through that whatever works best.”
You nodded your head and watched as Jake came running back over and you let out a silent laugh.
“This is amazing! Isn’t it amazing?!” Jake gushed.
You smiled at him and nodded your head.
I can’t believe you can hear stuff like this all the time!
He rolled his eyes at you.
“You can walk, I think it’s only fair.”
Rolling your eyes to him, you lightly punched his shoulder and he smiled a little, gesturing for you to follow him so you did.
You guys walked around for a bit and he talked nonstop, he was excited to be able to finally talk to you, for you to actually be able to hear his voice for the first time in your lives.
The next day came and you found yourself sitting in a helicopter, high above the ground, marvelling at all the sights.
Grace had made you special noise cancelling earplugs for when you were around heavy machinery, so when Jake wanted to talk to you he tapped your shoulder.
Are you going to be part of their research team too?
You shook your head.
No. I’m just here to observe everyone is following rules and guidelines.
He nodded his head and when you guys landed, you waited to be told you could take your earplugs out, and when you did you were smiling brightly.
“You really love the sounds Huh?” Norm smiled.
You nodded your head excitedly and while you watched then for a moment taking samples, hearing movement behind you, you turned your head to look.
“Come on.” Jake whispered.
Nodding, you followed along behind him, letting him lead the way.
You weren’t expecting to be confronted by a large creature, and you weren’t expecting Jake to scared it away, but when you heard the growl behind you you slowly turned and froze in place.
You didn’t even get chance to process what it was before you were being screamed at to go.
“Run!”
Jake took your hand and you were both running as far away as you could from the creature, and after what felt like years you managed to get away.
Looking around, you frowned a little when you couldn’t find your little group anymore and you turned to Jake.
Where are we?
He shook his head.
“I.. I don’t know, come on, we’ll be fine.” He smiled.
Jake took your arm and you both started to move, trying to find somewhere safe for the night as it was quickly growing dark and you knew they wouldn’t be able to find out after the sun sets.
While you searched your bag for the tablet, Jake used some stuff to make a torch in order for you both to see.
“Do you have it?”
You looked up at him and shook your head, gesturing to the bag which just held some research stuff.
I must have left it.
“Crap, okay, just stay behind me.”
You nodded and walked behind him, back against his as you both turned around, surrounded by viperwolfs.
“Get down!” Jake yelled.
You didn’t need to be told twice, you crouched and he used the flames to try and discourage the animals from getting any closer.
Hands covering your ears, you tried to block out all the sounds, the snarls, the yips and barks and jakes yelling.
Burying your face in your knees, you tried to tune it all out.
You had no idea what was going on, but your head was hurting, everything was so loud, so tiring and painful you wanted it all to stop.
When the animals started to cry out, you curled in on yourself even more, their cries piercing your ears, drilling straight into your brain and you needed it all to just stop.
You felt Jake behind you, his hands covering yours to help block out all of the sounds that were invading your ears.
Jake turned to the Na’vi who shot them, killed them to save you both and he sighed a little, giving her a small smile as he stood up and walked over.
She picked up the torch and Jake panicked.
“Hey wait! Don’t!”
She had already thrown it and he sighed, following her as she spoke in a different language to one of the creatures laying in the ground, stick clutched tightly in his hands.
He looked around amazed, and he looked over to you before making his way over.
“(Y/N), here.”
He crouched down, pulling the ear plugs from your bag, putting them in your ears.
Finally you looked up at him and he pulled you up, leading you over as you looked around at the glowing forest.
“Look I know you probably don’t understand this, but uh… thank you.”
He looked at her, crouching down, and you turned to watch what she was doing.
“Thank you.” Jake repeated.
You looked at him.
“That was pretty impressive.”
The woman looked at you both.
“We would’ve been screwed if you hadn’t come alone.” He laughed a little.
You placed a hand on his shoulder, gesturing to follow her. She was your best chance of survival.
“Hey wait a second. Hey where you going?” He asked.
You both followed followed her, and while Jake kept talking you looked at all the sights, but when she spun around and hit Jake with her bow you panicked.
“Damn!”
Looking down at Jake you carefully watched the woman.
She placed her bow at his chin and you gently pushed it away, making her step back as she spoke to him.
She flicked her eyes to you and then back to him.
You took the ears plugs out to listen.
“You like a baby, making noise. Don’t know what to do.”
He tried shushing her and you smacked the back of his head as he stood up.
He glared a little and turned to her to carry on their conversation.
He asked her why she saved the pair of you.
“You have a strong heart. No fear.” She said to him.
Then she pointed at you.
“This one has a pure soul, but a deep struggle.”
Then she turned back to him.
“But stupid! Ignorant like a child!”
Jake laughed, turning to you and you rolled your eyes, pushing him to follow her and you both jogged to keep up.
He kept trying to talk while running across the log, and nearly fell but she caught him, calling him a baby again making you smile.
She told you both to go back, and you watched as small white things fell from the sky and Jake hit one making her hiss.
He hit another and she grabbed his arms, speaking to herself as she watched them surround your and your older brother.
Finally she let you follow her you two were captured by others and led to a large tree which you watched in amazement, admiring everything.
Your ear plugs were still in, and while Jake spoke with them, Neytiri watched you closely.
You didn’t seem to be hearing anything, and as they asked what Jake did, they turned to you.
“You, what do you do?”
You didn’t reply and the leader growled a little and one of them went to grab you but Jake stopped them, placing his hand on his shoulder.
He gestured for you to take the ear plugs out and you did, turning to face them.
“What are you?”
You turned to Jake.
Tell them I am a doctor, a healer and a researcher.
“Shes a healer, and a researcher like Dr Augustine.”
“Why will she not speak?” A woman asked.
“She can’t. She was born deaf, she cannot hear so she never learned how to speak.” Jake replied.
Neytiri walked over and wiggled her fingers, so you handed the earplugs to her, letting her exam them before handing them to her parents.
“And these?” Her father asked.
“In this body (Y/N) can hear, but noise can be to much for her. These block out that noise.”
He handed them back to Neytiri who gave them back to you, and Jake nodded, telling you to put them back in so you did.
While they talked he signed everything to you both and eventually you were allowed to stay and learn with them, though you had to change.
Neytiri had instantly taken an interest in you, and the next day as you watched your brother try to learn how to ride a Direhorse she turned to you.
She did the same thing Jake did to tell you to remove the ear plugs so you did, and she pulled you away somewhere a bit quieter.
“You cannot talk, yes?” She asked.
You nodded your head.
“So how do you communicate with your people? Your brother?”
You waved your hands in the air and grabbed a small stick, writing in the dirt.
‘I can write, or sign.’
She took a few moments to read it.
“Sign? What is this?”
You looked around before gesturing for her to follow you which she did, you lead to her grab and picked up a rock, throwing it at his head as he wiped mud from his face.
“Seriously?” He asked you.
Walking over, he stood in front of you.
Can you translate?
“Yeah. Sure.”
Neytiri had her eyes glued to your hands as they moved, and she tried copying some of the movements, something both you and Jake noticed.
Smiling, you turned to Jake.
Do you think we can teach her?
Maybe. We can always try.
You nodded and pointed to her.
“It’s sign language, it’s how people who can’t hear or talk communicate. Do you want to learn?”
“Yes! Yes I do! I wish to be able to talk to you in your language.” She smiled at you.
So you taught her, and she was a quick learner, and now you didn’t have to worry about finding Jake, because she had caught on to most of it easily.
You had to change some things to help her, but it worked just the same.
Sitting by a stream with Neytiri, she was asking questions about you and practicing her sign.
“If you are healer, why not heal your ears?” She asked.
Turning to face her you sighed a little bit before replying.
I don’t have the money, that procedure is really expensive it cost a lot. I spent my whole life in silence, so I wasn’t that rushed to change it.
“Oh I see. Would you change it if you could?”
You thought for a moment.
Some days yes. Some days no. It’s nice not having to hear Jake complain.
She laughed loudly making you smile.
You tapped her shoulder, making her turn to you.
Can you tell me more about Eywa?
“You wish to learn more of our culture?”
She seemed shocked and you smiled and nodded your head.
Neytiri immediately grew excited and jumped up, whistling for her banshee and she helped you up, making sure you were safe.
She took to the air, and you looked around, eyes glued to the white tree as you approached it.
When you landed she took your hand and led you over, getting you to sit down with her as she started to explain Eywa, and their beliefs and culture to you.
And you happy sat there listened along while you admired the beautiful tree.
Neytiri smiled when she looked at you, ears flicking a little as she spoke, tilting your head every now and then.
She wondered if you would ever learn to talk, maybe that’s something she could ask Eywa to help with, to bring you your voice.
But she was happy talking to you in sign language, a few others of the tribe were learning from here so they could talk to you too.
Since Neytiri took you under her wing, adopted you as her own sister everyone wanted to know you, talk to you and learn about you.
Neytiri was going to make sure to teach you everything to keep yourself safe, things you could do without having to rely on your hearing in case you couldn’t use it

Teachers pet.
TWS: Age difference, Smut, Language, Dub con, almost caught, innocent reader, maybe non-con.
Teacher x student.
Summary: Y/n is a student of Mr. Cameron, Mr. Cameron thinks y/n is a very naive girl.
Tumblr media
“He's so cute” Your friend Fern gossips.
“More like hot, I'd let him hit” Your other friend Lana giggles.
“Stop guys he's a permanent teacher. And he's like 30, It's gross and weird” You fake gag.
“Does it matter, it's not like we're actually gonna sleep with him” Lana informs you.
“Are you girls don't talking?” Mr. Cameron asks pausing his work on the board.
“Yes sir. I'm sorry. It won't happen again” You apologize.
“Good. Now if we could get back to the lesson” Mr. Cameron basically shouts.
Your friends all giggle and tease you for being so obedient.
“Alright, can I get a student to come up here and write the answer? Any volunteers?” Mr. Cameron asks the classroom while looking around.
“No one. Alright, let's get one of the chit-chatters. How about you H/C” Mr. Cameron said while looking you in the eyes
“Me?” You gasp hurrying on your feet. “Yes, you. Come on, don't be shy” Mr Cameron holds out the chalk.
You grab it and think for a second about the answer “it's Four thousand and six” You answered.
“Wow, good girl. Didn't even need a calculator” Mr. Cameron chuckles.
“Yeah it wasn't that hard” You smile.
He smiles back, putting his head down and then up “You're a smart girl. Can you stay after class?” Mr. Cameron sighed.
“Yes, I can. Am I in trouble?” you ask interested.
“Nope just wanna talk some things over” He put out.
You smile and then go back to your seat, you felt your cheeks heat up.
“Oh, my God. He totally likes you. He called you a good girl” Lana squeaks.
“He was just being friendly” you gleam.
“He was giving fuck me eyes” Lana protests “Shut up Lana, he's just a nice guy” You state.
“Tell me that after he fucks you” Lana shrieks.
“Girls please be quiet, your disrupting my class” Mr. Cameron howls.
“Sorry Mr Cameron-” You apologize.
Getting cut off by the bell, students run out of the class.
You get up and stand at the teacher's desk “What do you need?” You ask him, he goes over to the door to lock it.
“I just wanted to talk. You seem smart and mature” Mr. Cameron smirks.
“Thank you. You seem like a really good teacher” you compliment him.
“So I was thinking maybe you could be my assistant. Don't worry you get paid” Mr. Cameron offers.
“I'd love to” You giggle.
He places his hand on your shoulder “your also really pretty” He hesitated while saying it.
“Your very um handsome” you stumble on your words.
His hand slides down your arm “Your just a charmer aren't you” Mr. Cameron jokes.
You giggle a bit “So can I go now?” you ask.
“I'd prefer you to stay, I have an hour until my next class” Mr. Cameron makes known to me.
“Okay so what will we do Mr. Cameron” You purred.
“Don't call me Mr. Cameron, it reminds me of my father. Please call me Rafe” He warbles.
“Rafe. You don't look like a Rafe maybe a Charles” You laugh.
He laughs a bit then cups your face, smashing his lips onto yours.
You push him back “what are you doing? You're my teacher” You whisper shout.
“I know this isn't professional but fuck you're too pretty” He grumbles.
Places his hands on both sides of the desk. Trapping you.
“No one has to know” He whisper.
“This isn't good. You could get fired and I could get expelled” You defend your reasoning.
“I'll take that risk” He lets out a deep chuckle.
Kissing you again but more passionately. You decide you confine and kiss him back.
His hands go on your hips.
He slips his tongue in your mouth, exploring every part of ther's.
He then tries to unbutton your blouse. Once he got it off he threw it across the room.
You then start to unbutton his shirt. Accidentally breaking a button.
You pull away and apologize “It's fine just don't stop” Rafe groans.
Dry humping you, you make your way to his belt. Taking it off, sliding his pants down.
He lets go of the kiss and kisses your neck roughly. Bound to leave a hockey.
You slowly pump him through his boxers.
“Please fuck me, Rafe” You moan.
He slides his boxers down.
You gasp at the size of his dick. He chuckles a bit.
He puts your underwear on the side. Teasing you by tapping his cock on your vagina.
You moan as he puts the tip in.
“You're so pretty” He groans before pushing it all in.
He lets you adjust to it for a second, then he snaps his hips into you, at a steady pace.
“Fuck Rafe slow down” You scream.
He rubs your clit in a circular motion “Stop Rafe” You whine.
It was all too much, you felt like you were gonna pass out.
You felt your orgasm build up.
“Fuck” You moan.
You slowly ease into your orgasm. Then you felt his cock twitch inside of you.
He pulled out and his liquids dripped out of you.
“Fuck Rafe I'm not on the pill” You jeered.
“I'll give you money for the after pill. Baby don't worry about it” He chuckles.
Kissing your cheek.
“I hope to see you around” Rafe jokes.
You get up and grab a tissue and wipe yourself, grabbing your shirt and putting it on.
“Yeah how about tomorrow at 2 pm?” You mock.
You open the door and as you're about to leave he slips you a hundred-dollar bill.
“Go get to it now before your next class” He demands.
You smile at him and then leave.

“you know that’s not the case. she adores you.” with iceman or hangman please’!! (I love my little blondies 🥺)
listen I know the prompts list says "Best Friends with Benefits" but the idea popped into my head and it's not leaving.
Tumblr media
pairing: Tom "Iceman" Kazansky x female!Mitchell synopsis: Reader is a single mom and Ice is worried her daughter doesn't like him warnings: cursing, tears, a lil dash of angst prompts list!
Ice wasn't sure what to do. He had thought that everything was going fine. When he had met you, he had no idea that you were Maverick's little sister. To him, you were just the gorgeous girl at the bar and Ice wanted to get to know you. But, like Maverick, you didn't see past the flyboy act and promptly put Ice in his place, which made him fall even harder for you.
Ice had asked you out a total of fifteen times before you finally said yes. You had you reservations and rightfully so. It wasn't just yourself that you had to look out for, you had your adorable daughter Finley to look out for as well.
Finley was the most adorable four year old had ever laid your eyes on. She had green eyes like you and your brother, and dark hair. She was smart, and kind, and loved to play dress up. You were nervous to go out with Ice because of her. Most men like Ice weren't ready for a family, or didn't want one at all.
It wasn't until after the third date that you told Ice about Finely, and it wasn't until after the third month of dating you let him meet her. Maverick had demanded that he was there when Ice met his niece, which you allowed. It was quite the scene to watch Maverick's small frame try to square up with Ice's nearly 6'2 self. But just like you, Ice fell in love with Finley the first time he met her.
Now, the two of you had been together for almost a year. The both of you were ready to take the next step, of having Ice move in with you. Finley had seemed excited at first, until she didn't. One night she even told you flat out that she didn't want Ice to move in. You told her that wasn't very kind to say and she stomped her feet down the hall. You had pushed back Ice's moving in date, still letting him stay over though to somewhat help Finley get acclimated to Ice being there.
And that's when the real trouble started.
First, she put a red sock in the laundry with all of Ice's white work t-shirts, turning the whole batch pink. Next, she put syrup in his shampoo bottle. The last straw was when she scribbled on his flight plans he needed for his promotion board. You had yelled at her and set her in timeout, which caused her to fight and scream as you told her to sit in the corner.
"I HATE YOU MOMMY!" Finley screamed at the top of her lungs from the kitchen. You sighed and sat down on the couch, rubbing her temples. Ice sat down quietly next to you, having stayed out of the way as you dealt with Finley. He never overstepped when it came to you parenting her, helping out and filling in when he was needed.
"I'm sorry," Ice said, grabbing your hand, "I made it a bigger deal, I can get copies made tomorrow and fix-"
"Your promotion board is tomorrow," You said, running your hands through your hair.
"I can wake up early and get it. Babe, it's really no big deal," You shook your head and Ice let out a sharp breath, "I don't want to make things harder on you. Maybe. . . maybe it's not a good thing. . . right now, for us?"
"What are you saying?" You snapped your head up to look at your boyfriend. Ice bit his lip as he processed his words.
"Y/N, Finley doesn't like me."
"Yes she does!"
"She's been having issues since the day you said I was moving in. She doesn't want me here and I don't want to make things worse for her or for you."
"You know that's not the case! She adores you, Tom! She wants you here as much as I do," You could feel your throat starting to constrict as you grabbed Ice's hands, "Please, Ice, we both love you."
"And I love you both too," Tom sniffled as he felt tears in his eyes, "You know I would do anything and everything for the both of you. . . Which is why I have to do this. . . I'm breaking up with you."
"Tom-"
"I can't put this stress on you and Finley. It's not fair. I will always be around for you two though, whenever you need me to," You nodded and looked down at your conjoined hands. Tom leaned forward and placed a kiss on your forehead. He closed his eyes and savored the feeling of his lips on your skin, before pulling back and heading for the door.
You sat on the couch for a moment, and let out a soft sob as the timer in the kitchen went off. You wiped your tears and went to go get your daughter. You hadn't noticed that the house was quiet now, and Finley had stopped screaming. She was still sitting in the corner, but now facing you and a look of guilt in her eye.
"I'm sorry, mommy," She said softly.
"It's okay, baby," You kneeled down in front of her and wiped a tear from her eye, "Come on, let's go get you in the tub and in pajamas."
Finley nodded and took your hand. As she passed the front door, her eyebrows furrowed, "Where's Iceman's bag? It's always right here." She pointed to the spot where Ice's backpack usually sat. You closed your eyes and shook your head.
"Not here, c'mon baby."
--- --- ---
It took Finley less than a day to realize something was wrong. One, it was a Tuesday and she was getting ice cream with Uncle Mav, something that only happened on Thursdays after ballet class. Two, Iceman's bag hadn't been back in his spot since Sunday and he hadn't been there to read "The Rainbow Fish" after bath time (he did the voices better than you).
"Is Iceman sick?" Finley asked Maverick.
"No? He's been at work. Why do you ask, shortcake?" Maverick had been calling Finley that since the day she was born.
"Mommy has been reading The Rainbow Fish."
Maverick sighed. You had told him about the breakup, which was part of the reason for the early ice cream date so you could have some time alone, and wasn't sure how to tell Finley about it.
"Well Finnie. . . Your mommy and Iceman are going through what grownups call a 'break up'."
"Why?"
"Because your mommy and Ice needed to. . . for you."
"Me?" She asked, her eyes growing wide, "Was it me that caused mommy to cry the other night?"
"Yeah, FinnBug, it was," Maverick said honestly, "You haven't been nice to Mr. Iceman and it hurt his feelings to see you and your mommy so sad, so he decided to do what was best for you."
"But Mommy is sad!"
"I know, but it's only temporary. She'll be okay soon."
Finley thought for a moment. Maverick watched that crease in her forehead, between her eyebrows, it was the same one that he and you got when you'd think.
"I need to say sorry. Can you help me?"
Maverick nodded and wiped a bit of ice cream from Finley's face. She then told Maverick that she needed to make a card and get a package of mint gum (Ice's favorite) and then go to base to apologize. Maverick followed through on his orders (like the four year old was some two star admiral) and held Finley's hand as they walked through the doors of the hangar.
"Hey! Shortcake!"
"Uncle Slider!" Finley exclaimed as the tall RIO picked her up and tickled her, "No, Uncle Slider! You'll ruin my card!"
"A card? It's not my birthday, or Uncle Mavs, or Uncle Wolfs-"
"No! It's for Mr. Iceman!" Slider looked up at Maverick, who shrugged. The RIO set Finley back down and she smoothed out her dress, "Now, where is he?" She demanded, tilting her head all the way up to be able to look at the man.
"In his office, shortcake," Slider smiled at her and moved out of the way as she marched to his office, "Now that one. . . she's going to be trouble when she joins."
"You mean if, Slider, if, she joins," Maverick commented and followed after his niece.
Finley took a deep breath before knocking on the door, hearing a quiet 'come in' after it. She stood on her tiptoes as she turned the knob and walked into his office. Ice was working on redrawing his flight plans and looked up briefly, but did a double take seeing those beautiful green eyes.
"Finley? What are you doing here? Wh-who brought-"
"Uncle Mav did," Finley said and then held the card out, "For you."
Ice stood up from his seat and walked over to her. He took the card from her, and opened it. He instantly smiled seeing the crayon drawn stick figures and scribbled writing. Below her writing in pencil were the translated words, probably from Maverick.
'Dear Mr. Iceman, I'm sorry I was mean to you. You make Me and Mommy happy. We love you. From Finnie'
"You drew this?" Iceman asked the little girl, who nodded.
"It's me, mommy, uncle Mav, Mr. George the neighbor, Garfield the cat, Uncle Goose in heaven and you."
Ice smiled brightly and kneeled down on the ground, "C'mere." Finley ran into his open arms and hugged him tightly. He squeezed her and placed a kiss on the top of her head, "I love you both, Finley. So much."
"Will you come home?" Finley looked up at him with big green puppy dog eyes.
"Do you want me too?" Finley nodded enthusiastically. Iceman chuckled, "Well, I guess we better get going." Ice stood up from the ground and walked back to his desk to gather his things. He picked up his backpack and put it over one shoulder, before taking Finley's hand and heading for the parking lot.
