Ghost Speak

Danny & Billy both talking in ghost speak about how Vlad is an asshole while having pure direct eye contact towards some of the justice leagues

Hal: *looking at Clark* uh… h-hey supes do you have any idea what they saying???

Clark: *looks just as confused and a bit terrified* I … uh have no idea

Diana: hmm I’m sure it’s fine

In love with the idea of captain marvel being Billy's imaginary friend. Like, it'd be so easy. Early depictions had them as almost fully separate people sometimes, like one soul with two minds, rather than just two filters like we mostly see now.

But imagine a Billy down on his luck, hurt and hiding from police and criminals alike, daydreaming the hours away as children do, taking inspiration from all the superheroes rising to fame, making little stories to play out his dreams of saving the world with a generic action doll he found while dumpster diving once. Most of the paint's rubbed off.

Red's his favourite colour, his comfiest jumper is a bright ruby even after all the grime and washes. Gold, too, it's shiny and warmer than silver! A hero cape is a must, big and eye catching! And he can fly, of course, like superman, and in his daydreams, when he's sore and frustrated after a long day's grind, his superhero is smart enough and knows all the right words to get the bullies to stop without resorting to fighting.

His superhero fantasy is one he spends a lot of time on, the first one he goes for when struggling to sleep at night, and he can picture it so clearly. Captain marvel is big and bright and kind, strong enough to lift the boxes for the old lady up the road who's moving all by himself, fast enough to catch Jamie who fell out of the tree on Saturday and broke his leg and couldn't come to class for weeks. He appears at the entrance to alleys when Billy is cornered, he steps up behind to cover for him when he gets caught shoplifting, he sits at the bus stop with him when it's pouring rain and the right bus doesn't seem to be coming.

And then the wizard comes, or rather whisks him away, and like a magician from a fairytale breathes life into his imaginary friend until Billy feels thrice his size and a million times more invincible.

From then on, captain marvel is a real hero, just like Billy is a real boy, and as one they save the whole city, and then the whole world, and get cats down from trees and help Mrs Victoria move the last of her boxes and she gives them a pinch in the cheek and cookies for the road and sometimes it hurts but it's so much better than he imagined.

I wanna see danny and shazam faking it till you make it together

They both got major responsibilitys at a young age. Both are powerful, danny being king or the infinite realms and shazam being the champion of magic they both know the struggels and duty while getting no gratitude.

They would get along perfectly.

What i imagine is during some cutl BS they find out there is a new, better, king of the infinet realms and seek to build a relationship with him, y'know for good connections. But they asumed he was several melenia old.

So they summon danny, and boom phantom comes out looking a little disgruntled at being summoned out of the blue, they talk and phantom agrees to an alliance on certain conditions and basicly acting like a responsible king.

But shazam sees through it, sees the child thats barly holding on, that was given too much power because he was the only one worthy of it. And it reminds it of him self.

So when batman starts questioning phantom, shazam steps in saying that they knew each other and have for melenia, he just didnt know he got the title of ghost king.

Danny while confused, saw the signs that shazam too was a child like him, decided to ask about it later, and went with it.

Now imagine batman, THE BATMAN, getting his questions getting shut down by two sassy melenia old beings, who apparently know eachother.

While danny and shazam are internally loosing their shit, hopping to every god there is that no one catches on that their BS them, while simultaneously dreading the conversation they know they have to have.

And the reast of the JL are happily oblivious and excited to get a new friend

In a world where everyone is not so understanding. Sam and Tucker blame Danny for the portal coming on and letting the ghosts through. He is the one who turned the portal on after all. He brought the pain and sorrow to Amity.

Jazz has questioned other ghost who were caught by her parents. All of them only wanted to take over or destroy the world. Only ever cursing the human race. (Who could blame them when they were captured and likely poked and prodded by jack and Maddie)

Jack and Maddie don’t care phantom is their “son”. Those things don’t feel. Once he died he wasn’t Danny anymore. Only ecto scum.

Danny over heard them discussing handing him over to the GIW.

Danny didn’t have a choice. So he decides to leave amity at the ripe age of 15 before he ends up strapped down in a lab. He runs away.

No one reports him missing.

He runs away to Fawcett. Gotham would be too risky. Jack and Maddie discussed investigating the odd ectoplasm there. (Maybe the bats look into the Fentons. Maybe the realize there child hasn’t been reported dead or missing. That Danny was just gone)

Metropolis is out of the question. Jazz was looking into a university there.

Here he meets homeless billy batson. Only a year younger then him. Together they survive on the streets. Both learning more about each other. Danny revealing bits of his past as they go.

When Danny finds out about Shazam he reveals phantom. Danny actual wants to help billy. He’s even younger then him. Now the justice league assume Danny is Shazam sidekick (maybe son). Instead of Danny being the older of the two.

When the truth does come out. So does Danny’s past. So does the GIW.

Billy Batson at a convention

Hear me out on this-

Yes I know I have a billion fic ideas on my list waiting to be written, but shush!

Imagine the Justice League deciding to attend a huge superhero convention as guests of honor for their fans and meet everyone, and to also help raise their public image. They don't all appear on the same day, showing up on separate days bc of security reasons, and Captain Marvel, being a long standing member of the JL, is invited, too. He is completely ecstatic about it, but decides to decline. He says he has important Champion of Magic duties to attend to and before anyone can ask, he Flys off. JL is a bit disappointed he won't be there, but understanding.

On the days of the convention, the JL are met with endless happy fans overjoyed to meet them. They all sign autographs, shake hands, etc. They all even remember one cute fan by the name of Billy Batson who handed them all adorable hand drawn pictures of them as a little gift. He was so sweet and even got to take a picture with all of the members.

The reason CM couldn't attend the convention as CM was bc he wanted to express his love, respect and admiration to his coworkers fully. He also was too nervous to ask for their autographs before, so this was a golden opportunity to have some fun as just Billy.

I don' have a superhero boyfriend who can blackmail other hero to let me talk to them. But i have my metods so i meet some of the big, famous hero and i ask them "why is batman a hero?" Here the answer:

Green lantern says he was biten by a radioactive bat

Wonder Woman says she's pretty sure he is a man cursed to help by the god and inable to left gotham alone

Flash just says he is a bat who gained (trough the non exactly safe and very chimical water of gotham) the ability to turn into a man

Costantine says he probabily is a vampire who make a pact with some higher being to be able to sustain the sun and in exange have to protect gotham forever

Acquaman says he is a robot who clone mini version of himself to make them into soldier

Shazam says he is some prince of hell undercover in the mortal reign.

Green arrow says he is a dickhead and refuse to say anything else

Superman says he is just someone too tired to feel anything except the adrenalin of risking his life and the joy of children (too many children he says a little concerned)

Writing my Marvelous Kon idea

Have some misunderstandings as to why Billy and Co. care about Kon from Kon’s perspective

Thinking about miscomunicating until Clark thinks he’s an incidental father to 4 different clone kids

Honestly, if Billy Batson made himself the Justice League cryptid, no one would even blink if/when his identity was revealed. Like "yeah, that's just Marvel. He's like that sometimes".

Like he just puts out such strange pieces of information that literally anything could be possible. He shows up to a League meeting one day soaked in Lazarus pit waters, and the only thing he says about it is an earnest apology for being late. His clothes audibly squelch when he sits down. The League is struggling to translate some old text because the language has literally been lost to time, and somehow Marvel not only knows it, but also other information that implies that he was alive at the time (he was not. Solomon is just very, very thorough). He casually mentions talking to gods like it's just another Tuesday. He eats weird shit. The way he uses magic gives the other magic users a huge migraine. He has very specific knowledge about not only being homeless in the 21st century, but also about being a homeless kid in the 21st century (he's very touchy about the foster care system). Sometimes things just see him and flee the other way. None of his villains take him seriously. He's friends with a magical tiger that sometimes talks. An ally refers to him as the "Incarnation of Magic" and the League takes that very literally. If you try and track him in his off hours or hunt him down literally at all it's like he just stopped existing. He's somehow very in touch with the modern world and also gets confused by the simplest things. Sometimes he talks about the Rock of Eternity like he was born there, died there, or like it's the place to take the ultimate power nap. Someone asks how he knows some forgotten dead language and he implies time travel. Diana thinks its continuous rebirth. Half the league has their money on immortal eldritch being. Was he created? Born? Is he even alive? The world may never know.

billy would flat out tell the jl that hes ten and they wouldnt believe him assuming hes joking, only to be mad when they find out bc he "didnt tell them,"

Justice League is trying to figure out who or what Captain Marvel actually is because every question they ask him gets a weirder answer than the last:

Bruce: *Analyzes DNA samples, pores over Fawcett news articles for CM’s history, cross-reference’s CM’s face with Fawcett’s citizen records, builds and analyzes a psychological profile, asks Zatanna*

Clark: *Continues trying to wheedle information out of CM whenever he can, keeps offering to help him out on monitor duty or in Fawcett, interviews Fawcett citizens as his civilian reporter identity*

Diana: *Just goes and asks Her Dad*
