King of Frogs
A/n- Back with a one shot for Remus, this was my first time writing for him specifically and I'm a slightly mean Remus truther, so if you aren't a fan you probably won't like it :/. I didn't use y/n anywhere in this and it's second person perspective. Anyway I hope you enjoy :)
Summary: You and Remus share a little moment on a rainy day in the common room.
It was the sort of rainy evening that beckoned for a book and a mug of tea and cozy seat by the fireplace. The rain came down in sheets and the sound of it beating on the window pains could be heard echoing through the castle. The crackle of the fireplace and the feel of the plush, velvet couches of the Gryffendor common room served only to further the comforting ambience that encompassed the room.
There you sat, curled in the corner of the furthest couch from the porthole draped with a soft blanket and wrapped in your favorite cardigan. You had decided to take a break from your most recent read, a muggle novel about a murder on a train, and had taken up a much lighter tale for the evening. Between exams and the stress of being in your seventh year your brain needed the rest. So an old fairytale from your childhood would be perfect for a night such as this.
You had been so deeply entranced by the story that you hadn’t heard the soft footsteps echoing through the porthole and over to your spot on the couch. Only when the figure now looming over you cleared its throat did you think to look up. “Oh, hello Remus.” you smiled up at him, it was a pleasant surprise to see one of your dearest friends. “Mind if I sit?” He motions to the spot next to you at the other end of the loveseat and you oblige, “of course not!” you scoot over slightly to give the taller boy enough room to be comfortable.
“What are you reading?” He asks, peering over your shoulder to look at the pages. You laugh a little and shy away, certain that the boy whose book recommendations included Kafka and Hemmingway would find your choice of literature disappointing. “It’s nothing, just a story my mum read to me when I was younger” you replied. He took a closer look at the heading at the top of the page. “The Brothers Grimm” He read aloud, a bit incredulously. “Aren’t those a bit dark for children?” You looked up at him to see his face twisted a bit quizzically, almost as if he didn’t believe what you were saying. “My mum had a thing for horror, I guess” You shrugged off his comment. “I’ll say” he took the book from you and began reading aloud
“However, when he fell to the ground, he was no longer a frog but a prince with kind and beautiful eyes. So, in keeping with her father's wishes, she accepted him as her dear companion and husband” He read in a whimsical, floating voice that made you smile ever so slightly. As he continued to read you felt entranced by his soft voice and his warm brown eyes as they scoured the pages. Almost as if he felt your staring he ceased reading and looked over to you as he finished, “please tell me this is not your idea of romance” he drawled. You rolled your eyes and snatched the book away from him, the moment shattering like glass over the carpet. “I think it’s kind of romantic" you close the book, keeping finger in the page he'd been reading "she loves him despite his... condition” you explain. He shoots you a look “She doesn’t love him she accepts him, it’s not the same, and she only does that when he’s a human prince again. I hardly think she’s overcome anything, in fact she lucked out.” He says definitively. “And what would you know about love, Lupin?” You asked, poking him in the chest just over his heart. He grabs your wrist before you can fully retract it, “plenty” He says, his face just inches from yours. Against your wishes your cheeks heat up and your face feels unbearably hot; you pull your hand out of his grasp and shrink further into your seat on the couch. He moves away as well and you immediately regret the loss of contact.
“Would you?” He asked quietly. You spare a glance his way only to find him still looking at you intently, “would I what?” He sighs and shifts slightly, angling his body towards yours before continuing, “Love someone even if they weren’t like you” he says softly, almost as if he's afraid of your answer “even if they were terribly cursed.” His eyes bore into you, and you shift under the weight of them. “I think I could” You say, “if I cared enough for the person it wouldn’t matter if they had a curse on them.” He smiled softly at that, it’s barely there and a rare expression for the boy, you can’t help the little bit of pride that takes over you for causing it. “Good to know” He says, staving that information away for later and standing from his spot. “I should get to bed, thanks for the read though, frog kisser” He spits the name out before striding away.
“Remus Lupin, that is not what I said!” You call after him. “Isn’t it though?” He laughs back at you, his typical wolfish grin back on his face. “You are the worst, and you’re never invited to sit with me again!” you shoot back at him. “You wound me!” he responds, “and you don’t mean that, you like me too much” He’s leaning against the entrance of stairs to the boys dormitory now, grinning at how easily he always manages to get under your skin. “I mean it, I really do. Now go before I get Professor McGonagall to throw you out.” He chuckles at that, “Minnie would never, but as you wish” He turns then and begins to walk up the stairs, but not without a parting gesture tossed over his shoulder with a wave “Goodnight, frog kisser”
(Edit- I went back and changed some of Remus’ dialogue to be a little more true to character and less stuffy. I also fixed some spelling errors -3-)

Its the same fic I've unfortunately been chipping away at since 2020 and I'm mortified its still not done yet LOL. It's called The Mysterious Disappearance of Roman Grimm.
Since senior year of high-school Janus and Remus have been dating. it wasn't perfect in their shitty little apartment but they loved each other and they were happy...After Remus's proper gallery show gets absolutely panned by critics and then the gallery burns down taking his paintings with it, maybe not so happy anymore. Janus comes home from work one day to find his partner missing. No phone calls, no notes, no texts, no answers.
A year later Remus texts him out of the blue asking to reconnect.
Janus drives back to their old home town Sanderscreek to the house Remus has been sharing with his brother, a surprise to everyone, as they have a history of not getting along.
However, any reconnecting is put on hold when their old friends, now dectectives Patton and Logan turn up at the door to announce that Roman has gone missing. Remus is the prime suspect in what they think might just be a murder.
I've gotten all but the last chapter and the epilogue done. The last chapter is SO close. I JUST want to finish this, its not even that long or that good but its taken me forever. I LOVE this world. I love this world and its characters and their drama SO SO SO much. I love the relationships I built I love everything about this story, I think its still my favorite world I've ever made to play in <3.

Warning: Injury
James is not going to sit there as Remus wakes up in the Hospital Wing and explain to him why Sirius isn't there. He can't.
Hold On
“No, no, no, no,” James lets himself fall to the ground next to the bundle lying on the muddy forest floor. “Pads? Padfoot, can you hear me?”
There's no response.
James places his arm behind Sirius’ neck and carefully lifts his head. His other hand he places in Sirius’ neck, searching for a pulse, which thank Godric, he finds, but weak, so weak. “Sirius? Sirius!”
Sirius’ eyes open and he seems aware of James’ presence as he tries to say something, but only a pained groan comes out, before his eyes fall shut again.
Panic rises in James’ chest as he scrambles for his wand, muttering what little Healing Spells he knows.
“I heard the younglings talk this morning.” Firenze looks down at James. “How they spotted a dark hound the size of an Erumpent roaming the forest, thinking it to be a dark creature, or even a Grimm, rumored to bring ill tidings. So they fired their arrows at the creature. When I came to investigate this morning, I found him.”
James can barely look at the wound, the gruesome sight of the arrow protruding from Sirius’ stomach. Though the arrow still being lodged in his stomach is probably the only reason Sirius hasn't bled out this night.
Sirius has opened his eyes again and his gaze shifts down, but James quickly places a hand on his cheek. “Just keep looking at me, Siri.” He desperately mutters a few more Healing Spells.
“An injury inflicted by Centaur-forged weapons cannot be healed as if it were a common Muggle arrow,” Firenze says disdainfully.
James looks up at him. “Can you help him?” He begs. “Please?"
“Will you retaliate?” Firenze asks cooly. “Our young ones learn to not harm wizarding children, even the ones foolish enough to wander into our forest, but we couldn't have anticipated one shaped like a Grimm. We know very well how vengeful wizards can be, how little regard you have for beings other than your own. Will your people take their vengeance on our herd, retaliate against our younglings?”
“Retali-” James shakes his head. “No. No, I don't care about blame, or retaliation. I just want him to live.” He looks up at Firenze pleadingly. “I need him to live. Please…”
“Moony…” Sirius manages to say.
“Moony is okay,” James says soothingly, brushing Sirius’ hair from his face. “The full moon has passed. He's in the castle, sleeping.”
“You change your appearance to run with the wolf of the lunar cycle,” Firenze states.
“He's our friend,” James simply says without taking his eyes off Sirius.
“Not many wizards would call a halfling between human and beast a friend,” Firenze muses.
“Well, he is,” James says shortly. If the centaur isn't going to help, he wishes he would be quiet, so James can think of something to save Sirius himself. There has to be something. There has to be.
“We have a Healer skilled in treating these kinds of wounds,” Firenze suddenly says. “I will bring him here. Try to keep him awake in the meantime,” he adds, resting his eyes on Sirius’ form. “I fear that if he slips away now, he won't make it back.”
“Padfoot, stay awake! You must stay with me, do you hear?”
As Firenze disappears between the trees, Sirius’ head slowly slides backwards.
“Hurts,” Sirius mumbles.
“I know, Pads, I know. But you have to hold on just a little longer, okay?”
Sirius’ breathing is getting slower.
“Sirius,” James begs. “Please, don't leave.”
Sirius just looks at him with empty eyes.
“Moony’s going to wake up in the Hospital Wing,” a sob escapes James. “Groggy and sore like he always is, and his eyes will immediately search yours. They always do, you know that. You're always the first person he sees, you're always where he finds comfort. You can't let me sit there, have Remus look at me questioningly, confused, and for me to have to tell him…” James’ voice breaks, and he shakely takes a breath in. “To have to tell him that you're… that you didn't… that I couldn't… You can't do that to me, Sirius!” He balls his fist and clutches Sirius’ robe. “And it happened during the full moon.” He squeezes his eyes shut, unable to stop the words spilling out of him. “He's going to blame himself. He's going to fall apart. He's going to fall apart, and I can't put him back together, not without you, Sirius! I need you there, for Moony. For Moony, okay?”
James meets Sirius’ eyes again, and something has changed. There's a determination there that wasn't there before. As they look at each other, something passes between them.
Sirius is going to stay awake.
He will try.
In the distance, James hears the sound of hooves approaching.

NEVERLY EVER AFTER…
Summary
Lily wants to go to Prince James' ball but has no means of getting there, plus no interest in meeting a pompous git.
Remus has less than zero interest in going to the ball, but it looks like he's going to have to go anyway, despite being a beast.
Prince Sirius has just escaped his step-father's latest assassination attempt. Great. All good.
And Prince James knows he's going to have to turn up to his own ball, and pretend everything is tikety-boo, despite the fact that a curse is due to hit him tonight and send his off to sleep for a hundred years.
All's well then, isn't it??

Chapter One: Tickety-Boo
Lily Evans didn’t want to go to the ball to marry some spoilt, conceited, pompous git who probably seriously needed to deflate his head. She wanted to go because she had never been to a ball.
She wanted to see all the spectacular ballgowns; the raffish, over-the-top waistcoats and petticoats; the glamorous high heels on the men, and the ornate powdered wigs and strange makeup; she had heard there was at least one break for food as an energy boost between dances – that they served new things called canapés - savoury biscuits filled with meats or cheeses or caviar or salmon. She craved delicious food.
And perhaps a drink of strong, sweet wine (which she wasn’t supposed to have, ever, but she occasionally managed to steal a glug from one of the bottles her step-sister Petunia jealously guarded).
Mostly, she longed to listen to the enthralling music - an entire orchestra! - and to dance, to sweep across the floor, feeling magical and wild, untethered. Her father had taught her to dance, and she had never forgotten.

I like to think that Virgil knows German and he has a tendency to slip into it when he talks about technical music stuff. He also rolls his r's so it has a sort of purring quality that can hypnotize Remus and turn him to goo. It's so powerful that Roman and Janus have grabbed the spider and told him to "say German words" just to get Remus to calm down his chaos
Also just the thought of him reading the original Grimms' Fairytales to Remus is beautiful
I never knew I needed Vee knowing German until now I L O V E that so fucking much!!! Ree is weak at the K N E E S for those R rolls but can't really blame a Duke for wanting to hear his Spider purr <3 Also I'm cackling at the thought of Jan and Ro being like "Virgil for the love of everything just please say German words you're gonna break him further and we'll even translate if we have to" (Jokes on them Ree still finds it hot XD)

SANDERS SIDES SPOILERS AHEAD, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED
Hey yeah I'm overanalyzing their rooms now that we cANONICALLY KNOW WHAT EACH OF THEIR ROOMS LOOKS LIKE????? (if i miss anything while combing through these picture lmk!)
First up, Patton's room!
Lots of plushies! Lovely touch, not that surprised cuz it's, you know, Patton.
Cat statue! (lamp? I can't tell jdjsjsj)
And a cat poster right above his head!
I can't tell what picture that is on his desk :(
But I can tell that his glasses are on there, as well as a plate of two cookies (love that callback) and... A bible. Specifically the Bible Patton swore his oath on in SvS. Interesting touch...
And lastly, the card Virgil gave him during 12DOC (which I find interesting because, to me at least, this symbolizes that Patton still views Virgil as or believes Virgil to still be his best friend which is, uh... Not quite the case right now).
Also notably, Patton doesn't wear his onesie to sleep here?
Alright, next up is Roman!
Right off the bat, THAT IS A FACE MASK PEOPLE, ROMAN CANONICALLY HAS A SKINCARE ROUTINE ‼️
Next, his katana right next to his bed which I imagine he uses fairly often because if you'll look in the bottom left hand corner, you can see Remus stealing one of Roman's crocheted (knitted?) stars off of his desk
After that is his poster, which says Adventure Is Out There (maybe an Up poster? I can't find the exact one but knowing Roman it's probably that)
And speaking of Disney, I just noticed that he's sleeping in his Beauty and the Beast onesie oh my gosh
I love the amount of Roman toys he has in his room idjshshs
I can't tell what that bottle is right behind the Roman Youtooz, if anyone can, can you let me know?
[EDIT FOR ABOVE: People have told me that the bottle is pillow spray which, yeah, makes sense for Roman jdjdjsjs]
And finally, the bulletin board! Two pictures of himself, one of Leslie Odom Jr., and 3 Post-Its that read (from top to bottom): "TAKE DANCE CLASSES AGAIN", "YOU GOT THIS PAL", and "WWLOJD?" (which I realized far too late means "What Would Leslie Odom Jr. Do?" idjdjsjs)
Alright, Virgil's room now!!
It is. So dark. I had to turn my phone's brightness up to max to even be able to see half of it ksjsjsjsj
First off, Virgil wears a Green Day shirt and Thomas's black jacket to sleep! (If you don't remember, this is the same jacket Thomas wore during parts 1 and 2 of Accepting Anxiety and in Working Through Intrusive Thoughts!)
If you'll look right behind Virgil, there's a laptop open to... A YouTube lyric video. Dude listens to emo music without headphones to go to sleep, oh my God /pos
[EDIT ABOVE: According to Thomas, he's watching a Jack the Ripper conspiracy video, not a lyric video! Still, incredibly fitting for Virgil kdjdjsjs]
Now to the darker parts of the room:
He has a whiteboard that says "[Number (it's actually a pound sign but i don't want this to end up as a hashtag jdjsjsj)] of days since last total disaster", with 5 being the number of days. Does this mean that this video takes place five days after WTIT, or is it just an insignificant number?
I literally can't tell what all is on Virgil's desk so if anyone does please let me know, but what I can tell is that he's got an expo marker (for the whiteboard) and (presumably) melatonin, which (alongside the tossing and turning) I imagine confirms that Virgil has trouble sleeping
[EDIT FOR ABOVE: He also has a spider plush, a book of Grimm's Fairytale, fake candles(?) and Patton's card pinned underneath it! That's fascinating to me and I've taken it to mean that Virgil doesn't want to complete throw away his friendship with Patton but he's nowhere near "buddy buddy" with him anymore]
And finally, Logan!
Look at his blue ass bed and matching pjs and sleep mask I freaking love him
He's got a periodic table poster over his bed!!!
Now let's check out his desk
He has all five plushies with him!!! Everyone else just had theirs but he has all five! (Angst writers come get your food pspspsps)
They're all sitting on a notebook (presumably the one Logan uses to write down when someone says something stupid?) which is on top of the fanfic Roman gave him for Christmas which i freaking love 😭
His solved Rubix cube is sitting on what looks to be a crossword of the day calendar sort of thing?
EMPTY CROFTERS JAR BEHIND EVERYTHING HE CANONICALLY EATS IT IN HIS ROOM
Oh my God that is the 10th Doctor Funko Pop right by the plushies
And his flashcards are under his glasses!
[EDIT FOR ABOVE: The notebook above the script is a Journal 3 notebook from Gravity Falls and he also has a TARDIS behind the plushies and a smart lamp! (Hence the clapping)]

❝ Up until receiving her Hogwarts letter at age eleven, Orla hadn’t realized at all that her father was a wizard. Really, she hadn’t realized he was anything at all - she’d never met him, and her mam had never talked about him, except to tell Orla, when she’d asked about him at the tender age of six, that he was a “right thumpin’ bastard” who’d fled the second Orla’s mother had told him she was pregnant.
But now, eleven years later, a stern bespectacled woman was showing up in their little house in their little Irish village, informing them that Orla’s da had, in fact, been a wizard, which made Orla something called a “half-blood” and, more importantly, a witch. And then she was being whisked away to a magical hidden street filled with strange shops and getting spellbooks and a new cat and a bloody magic wand, and then only a few weeks later Orla was standing in a great castle in the Scottish highlands, putting a weird talking hat on her head and hearing it proclaim that she belonged in Hufflepuff, whatever that was.
Orla was pretty sure she’d never been as confused in her life at she was at the very start of her Hogwarts career. But then, in her very first class, she’d made friends with Gryffindors Lily Evans and Mary Macdonald, both of whom were something called Muggleborns and also new to this strange, amazing world, and it had gotten a little better. It had improved even more once the three girls had made friends with another girl named Marlene McKinnon, who had been raised by magical parents and could therefore answer any questions the others had, and who had also kicked an older boy who had insulted Mary where the sun didn’t shine, which in Orla’s opinion was just deadly.
And so it had gone. By this point, at the start of her fifth year, Orla is fairly sure she’s stopped being confused about the wizarding world. She’s learned a lot through experience and all the questions she’s asked Marlene and Sirius, another Gryffindor from a wizarding family whom she really likes even if Lily kind of hates his best mate, and now she’s fairly confident she’s done being confused. As the school year starts, she’s very much looking forward to spending time with her friends, little study parties with Sirius and his boyfriend Remus, and watching James Potter utterly fail at getting a date with Lily.
But then, at the very first Quidditch party of the year, Orla gets drunk and kisses Mary. Mary, her very best friend, who’s always been there for her and has had a million deep late-night chats with her and made Orla laugh when they compared Irish and Scottish slang. Mary, who Orla is just now starting to realize is gorgeous and funny and the dearest person ever… and who Orla has now taken to avoiding because she can’t look at her without remembering what her lips felt like through a booze-fueled haze.
Just when Orla thought she had everything in her life, it turns out the universe has seen fit to turn her life topsy-turvy once again. ❞

Dukeceit Week 2024 Day 1, Sunflowers!
Dukeceit Week 2024 is run by the amazing @imnotgrimimjustagrumpyreaper ! I am really hoping I can stay on track and do the rest of the days but I make no promises lol. Starting off strong with day one though!
This fic is just like pure angst! But it does have a happy or at least hopeful ending, so there's that.
I've never actually written Dukeceit so their dynamic is much more like their dynamic in Grim's The Mysterious Disappearance of Roman Grimm (One of if not my favorite Sanders Sides fics ever) than their canon dynamic but I hope you all enjoy anyway!

The only sign of life on the West Virginia highway was the occasional headlights of a car going the other way, but those were few and far between. Remus wasn’t surprised, it was 5:37 AM.
They’d left around 4, once Remus’s breakdown had been dealt with.
The drive was long and winding and dark, the trees only visible in glimpses Remus caught from the Subaru’s high beams. The only sign of life on the West Virginia highway was the occasional headlights of a car going the other way, but those were few and far between. Remus wasn’t surprised, it was 5:37 AM.
They’d left around 4, once Remus’s breakdown had been dealt with.
“Where are we going, Jan?” Remus tried.
Janus didn’t make any indication he’d heard him, eyes looking straight through the windshield, hands holding the steering wheel steady at ten and two. His hands were, as usual, gloved, but Remus had a feeling if he’d been able to see his knuckles, they would’ve been white.
“Janus, you can’t keep ignoring me forever.” He sighed, letting his head fall against the headrest. “You’re the one who wanted to go on this crazy drive, anyway.”
“Remus… we’ll be there soon.” Janus’s voice was tight, almost strangled.
“Okay.”
“Give me twenty minutes.”
“Okay.” It came out as a whisper.
The dense forest soon gave way to thinner trees, then to flat farmland. Remus’s face went to his window to watch the soybeans and the slightly lightening sky.
Pretty soon, Remus heard the clicking of the turn signal, and Janus turned into one of the farms. Remus caught a glimpse of what looked like sunflowers before Janus slowly pulled into a worn wood barn and turned the key, cutting the engine. He tucked one leg beneath him and turned so he was facing Remus.
Janus smiled. “Tired?”
Remus knew his eyes were drooping. “Yeah.”
Just as quickly, the smile slipped from Janus’s face. “I’m sorry I didn’t tell you where we were going.”
“Where did we go?” Remus looked around. “We’re just in a random barn. Looks very splintery.” He grinned, trying to lighten the tension. “Might get some sort of wood-borne illness.”
Janus wrinkled his nose. “I’m not even sure those exist.”
“You never know.”
Janus moved on. “We’re not here for the barn. I’m… this is my grandfather’s farm.”
“I thought your grandpa was dead.”
“He is.” Janus said flatly. “It’s my farm now.”
“Your farm?”
“Yes, he left it to me.”
“You’ve never mentioned a farm before.”
“I didn’t want anyone to know about it.”
Remus considered for a moment. “So, this is where you’ve been going on weekends?”
Janus nodded. “My uncle looks after the place most of the time. He gets all the proceeds from the produce.” He shrugged. “I’m really just the name on the deed.”
“Mm.” Remus hummed. “Why are we here?”
“I wanted you to see the flowers at sunrise.”
“The sunflowers I just saw?”
Janus nodded again, holding out a hand to Remus. He looked at it for a moment, reached out, and squeezed it, as was their custom.
“Lets’ go.” Janus reached for his door.
Remus did the same, hopping out of the car and circling around to the other side. They walked out of the barn, Remus trailing a few feet behind Janus as he glanced around, unable to see much in the dark.
He kept following him as they walked to the sunflower field.
“Huh. I thought you closed at night.” Remus remarked to one of the yellow blooms they walked past.
“I did too, until I started helping out at the farm.” Janus led them to a small opening between a few flowers, carefully pushing one aside and ducking between them.
“How long have you been coming here?”
Janus shrugged. “A long time.”
Remus could tell when he didn’t want to talk, so he stayed quiet as they walked the narrow path between the sunflowers.
Janus abruptly stopped, and Remus almost bumped into him. “Jeez, Jan, give a guy some warning.”
“My apologies.” Janus looked over his shoulder briefly.
“Accepted.” Remus mumbled.
“Look.” Janus nodded towards the East, where the sun was beginning to crest over the horizon, painting the yellow petals in shades of red and orange.
“Wow.” Remus said softly, but he turned his face back to Janus. He felt like a sunflower himself, turning towards the brightest thing he could see.
As if he could feel his eyes, Janus turned to look at Remus, his eyes softening. “I just wanted you to see this. I made this path, a long time ago. I like watching sunrises, I always have. I figured it might calm you down.” He swallowed. “Remus… we don’t have to talk about earlier, not if you don’t want to.”
Remus closed his eyes. Did he want to talk about it?
“I don’t need you!” He snarled.
Don’t you see I need you?” Janus threw his hands up.
I don’t deserve you! Even a little bit! I don’t deserve to have you… I don’t deserve you! I don’t need you!”
He opened his eyes. “I do want to talk about it.”
Janus’s eyes flicked down to the soil, then up again to Remus. “We deserve each other, Remus. We’ve both done things we’re not proud of. You know that.”
Remus nodded.
Janus continued. “I… love you, Remus. I don’t want to lose you.”
“I don’t want to lose you, either… I just don’t want to… hurt you.”
“You only hurt me when you tell me you want to break up with me because you don’t want to hurt me.”
Remus suddenly couldn’t look him in the eyes. “I’m sorry.”
Janus nodded. “Accepted.”

Sanders Sides and Ever After High Crossover/AU
So, I am a huge fan of both Ever After High and Sanders Sides and have had brain rot thinking about a Sanders Sides EAH au.
So I was thinking about what fairytale characters each Sanders Sides character would fit as the child of, and then I got to thinking...
What if they were the younger siblings of certain EAH characters?
Because then, there's fun character and sibling dynamics galore.
So... here we go.
Virgil: Son of the Evil Queen, younger brother to Raven
Logan: Son of Snow White, younger brother to Apple
Patton: Son of Cinderella, younger brother to Ashlynn
Janus: Son of the Dark Fairy, younger brother to Faybelle
Roman and Remus: Twins, sons of one of the Charming's, cousins to Daring, Dexter, and Darling
All of our sander sides friends are first years, so while they are there for the Legacy Day shenanigans, they are not participating in Legacy Day themselves.
Also, I figured that their "destinies" would all work similar to the Charmings from EAH, namely that they are set to fill spare destinies. For example, Logan, Patton, Roman, and Remus would fill spare prince charming destinies, while Virgil and Janus would fill spare villain destinies.
Now, let's get into a few basics about the story that I want to establish.
Dorm assignments:
Logan and Virgil: After asking the Headmaster to have Raven and her room together for their Legacy Year, Apple also gets their younger siblings a shared room. Because I just feel like she would.
Roman and Patton: Before their first year at Ever After High starts, they're already friends, so they request a room together at school.
Remus and Janus: I don't plan on having them be close friends at the start of this story, but that changes quickly because I love their dynamic.
Relationships with their siblings:
Virgil and Raven are really close, and share some of the same tastes in music and fashion. Also they both like purple. They both also aren't big fans of their mother and prefer to not have her brought up in conversation. Neither of them want to be evil.
Logan and Apple do care about one another, but they aren't really that close. Some of it boils down to Logan feeling ignored in favor of Apple and her destiny as the next Snow White. There's other stuff piled into that whole thing too, but anyway. The two of them do both enjoy learning new things, and are able to bond over their shared interests in that regard.
Patton and Ashlynn, similarly to Raven and Virgil, get along really well. They both act like the parent of their respective friend groups. When they don't feel like they can bring something up with their friends, both Ashlynn and Patton seek out the other to express their frustrations about something or vent their feelings.
Janus and Faybelle used to get along when they were younger and really don't anymore. This is in part due to Janus being a rebel, as Faybelle sees it as him rejecting their villain heritage. Janus' actually reason for rebelling is hating Headmaster Grimm and the system of destinies. Faybelle doesn't listen to him though.
Roman and Remus get along probably better than they do in Sanders Sides cannon. They also are close friends with their cousins, Daring, Dexter, and Darling, because I think that would be fun. That being said, Roman is really the only one out of the two of them who gets along with Daring. Remus, Dexter, and Darling bond over not being total fans of their predetermined paths due to their Charming heritage.
Romance:
So far, the only romantic relationships I have planned for this au include Prinxiety, Dexter x Raven, Apple x Darling, and Ashlynn x Hunter (and other background Ever After High ships as well).
Friendships:
At the start of the school year, Janus and Virgil are friends, having both been pushed to the side by their classmates for having a villain heritage.
Roman, Patton, Logan, and Remus are a friend group as well.
During the beginning part of their first year (so basically, before Legacy Day) the six of them end up as one friend group by means of dorm room assignments, shared classes, and introductions.
Royal or Rebel?:
Virgil, Janus, and Remus are all rebels.
Roman and Patton are royals.
Logan isn't sure what he is.
They all end up on the rebels side eventually.

In this case, it's Harry's internal monologue and anxiety that is so spot-on. This fic is sweet, as Draco is called in to help Harry take care of little Teddy. The fairy tale connection is a much cooler, more feminist version of Cinderella.
