a/n : happy holidays to all who have anything to celebrate and to those who don't I hope you enjoy a break and a warm december <3 this is also sort of my 1k special !! I know it isn't much but I couldn't think of anything to do to celebrate <//3

note: I know I mentioned friends in the first prompt but you can literally imagine these scenarios with either a crowd or alone lmao

"Oh. My. God" rang in their head as they looked up, eyes meeting the green leaf hanging above the two of you, "We don't have to push through with this... tradition if you don't want to..." they said but it came out as almost a mumble. As more teases fell from the mouths of your other friends, you couldn't help but inch closer to them, once you got the go signal you pressed your lips against theirs. It felt warm amidst the cold of the season and radiated a sense of comfort throughout your body.

They stared at you silently, waiting for you to make the next move. Yes, they're interested in you and they know you were interested in them, but they didn't want to rush you. Eventually you stepped closer, tugging lightly on their hand before they tilted your chin. It was a calm, ordinary kiss, yet it made the cliché movie fireworks explode both in your mind and body.

"Well?" they said teasingly, throwing you a sly look as you fumbled around your outfit in an attempt to calm down. They waited until you stepped closer to them, their hand making its way to your cheek as they leaned in and kissed you. It was funny, you could've sworn you were sure they didn't like you back, so why were they kissing you so calmly yet with so much fervor? As you pulled back, you couldn't help the sense of longing as you looked back into their eyes looking like they, too, wanted more.

"There will be no 'kissing under the mistletoe'" They said sternly, but no one missed the tinge of pink dusting on their ears and cheeks. Despite the small disappointment, the party went on without a hitch. Later on into the night, you spotted them by the balcony admiring the stars with a small drink in hand and joined them saying you wanted a breath of fresh air. "I've liked you for quite some time now" fell from their lips, somewhat boldly even, the sudden confession made your heart skip a beat. A kiss placed on their lips was all the answer that they needed.

They had a mixed expression of shyness and also slightly explosive joy. I mean, they knew that you liked them back but they just haven't had the chance to tell you yet, you know? They impulsively (but gently) took your hands in theirs and looked you in the eyes as if telepathically asking you for consent. Once you gave your permission they immediately kissed you, their happiness was infectious and leaving you feeling giddy once they pulled away from you.

İf you tell them you have other worlds (games) you visit they are going to call you

THE CREATOR OF THOUSAND WORLDS

İts time for my monthly brainrots with my little to no English.

They are going to give you some cool names based on your personality traits and you cant stop them. İt can be as stupid or as cool as you think they would.

For stupid ones, we have:

-you were having a stroll with Thoma, the boy who is so popular that at one point he had more fans than you (imposter au lol). When you mentioned him that you love animals he HAD to make you meet all of his stray friends. Those little guys always need some attention afterall and maybe getting the divine creators blessings will help them be more lucky in the harsh wild.

(no he is not talking about your acolytes what do you mean?)

"this one reminds me of my favorite villager from animal crossing" you mumbled, not realising he can hear you.

"Animal... What?"he said, confused.

"ah its one of the ga... worlds... İ created."

Thoma looked even more confused. Villagers? Animals??? Animal villagers???? Crossing what???

He realised how you got a bit anxious from the question so he did not pushed you to answer. Maybe it was a touchy subject for you, so you did not want to talk about your own worlds that you created.

But he did talk to others about it, people were exited to know about other worlds, let alone the worlds YOU created! Alot of people tried to understand what that world was about and maybe add the things you like about it in their own world so you will be happier in this world :D

And that is the story on how "animals' lover" became one of your titles. (Zhongli's idea, he tought it should be something that Suits your all loving heart)

-it was a nice day in your abode. Birds were chirping happily to prove your point, the gentle breeze was moving the leaves of the trees as if its dancing with them. Other than that İt was quiet... Too quiet... The realisation of how unusual for your not-so-secret-anymore hiding spot to not be filled with your acolytes and alot of noise while you would be having a nice relaxed tea is sending chills down your spine.

Oh no.. things are usually worse when theyre silent for a long time... You decide to check up on them.

Upon going back inside, it wasnt much hard to guess why they were busy not bothering you, they were on eachothers throats.

As they usually do on their free time.

The first thing you see is Nahida, trying to fix a vase that has been broken, with vines she created from her hand while Trying to desperatly make the other people in the room calm down.

You also see Zhongli and Al haitham, theyre chatting about something and you can see that the atmosphere is tense. You can feel that the only thing from keeping them from eachothers neck is the starter of the fight will look bad infront of you. What an interesting duo huh..

You see Ei, xiao and kujou sara, weapons out, chasing venti. Ah so the culprit was him. Better stop this nonsense as they might just kill the poor bard.

Your voice ecoed down your abode .

"ENOUGH"

And with that the whole caos seem to stop for a moment. Everyone in the room looks at you. Hehe, works everytime.

"Tell me what happened here" you demanded. And they told you the story you already guessed with just a glance through the room. (Poor nahida got scared the most ;;)

Venti was singing your praises, well... Mostly praises, he also used this opportunity to show off how much he is liked by you. Zhongli and Ei got angry, how dare he spit LİES and blasphemy about you and ruin your image?!

Zhongli kept his composure but it wasnt the same for Ei. Al haitham made a remark about his silance and that lead to the convertion you saw them have.

Nahida tried to stop Ei but it only fueled her more. The breaking point was when while venti was singing, and using his power to make affects, he accidently pushed over one of the most expensive ornaments, and told them you would forgive him anyways ehe.

You sighed, "why did this turn into that one scene in DDLC (doki doki litterature club) where Yuri and natsuki fight.."

"Your Grace, please tell us the truth, do you favor this bard more than us?" Ei said in desperation. But all you could see was Yuri, panicing over you not liking the poem more than the others.

Al haitham couldnt act like he didnt hear you, however, "Forgive my interruption... But what is.. DDLC?"

"DDLC... Hmmm... İ think i heard this one" Nahida speaked up. She knows???? Oh god she has been in your computer she knows....

"İf im not mistaken, İts a litterature club that is sentient. They are aware of the creators appearance from the start and theyre... Hmm.. quite friendly with your Grace"

To that, venti panics, "Y... YOU DO NOT FAVOR THEM MORE THAN US DO YOU?!?!"

You blush "WHA- N-NO?! WHAT DO YOU EVEN-"

"Could this be... That they created that world for them to be their courts?" Zhongli thought out loud, clearly more interested in the worlds purpose than the fact that you had lovers in other worlds.

"NO?! Well kinda??? bUT NO İ-" You panic, that WAS a dating simulator afterall, but you downloaded it for the spooks rather than... Well kind of that to.

You hide your face in your hands, somehow, you feel like you are being interrogated rather than interrogating them, "ima pull a sayori if this keeps up" you said between your hands.

Days later, you walk in the streets of Mondstat, and you overheard the rumbling of drunkards that are leaving cat's tail.

"Did youui knoo dat our beloved creto *hic* creted a world.. dats full of deir LOVERS?"

"Maaaannn i wish i was the creatoorr.... Having a whooolleee world as their court?! Now thats something."

"İ think we can call them.... Litterature fucker-"

....... You want to be mad.... But that was funny.

So you call yourself that now :P

When I’m playing genshin, I’m mostly listening to either Paternity Court, or Steve Wilkos. Imagine the characters hearing all of the stuff and being so scandalized by the results and comments. Or being genuinely disgusted and heartbroken for the victims in more serious cases. I can def see a good chunk of them being invested

I don’t think I’ve listened to those yet! I do occasionally get on a true crime binge listen, however the weirdest thing my characters have heard has gotta be Game Grumps episodes or compilations lol

What if i listened to every season of Buzzfeed Unsolved.

What would we do then my Genshin characters, my people, what then.

I saw someone else write about this true crime documentary thing but they described everyone being pretty terrified or disgusted by the podcasts

Which I definitely think some would be literally horrified lmao

But also I think a lot of them definitely would be invested-

I mean shit,

you're listening to your God and they just start playing this like uncomfortably detailed intricate crime case/murder report???

I would be so interested in what kind of person they were, and why they were listening to true crime stuff,

so needless to say characters like Heizou and Yelan would definitely be into it, maybe Kujou Sara as well?

I can see Zhongli getting into it too and Raiden

I mean don't get me wrong plenty would be disturbed

like rest in peace Barbara 🙏

but like it would be fascinating to them too!!

cuz they don't know anything about our world so they could learn a lot about it thru listening to this stuff

tho it probably cause a lot of confusion whenever they hear things like phone or computer or car lol

you know stuff that hasn't been invented yet for them or there is no equivalent, but they

would deffo interrogate u about ur world when u get to Teyvat

what if I was playing Game Grumps around them lol, would they be like oh my God our Creator has the best comedians or hilarious friends

like you know how a king has jesters? 😭

I feel like they would think that instead of a recording definitely, especially because most of these things are just people talking and not like, a speech or something

because audio recordings could exist for them, they would probably get it in concept, they do have Ley lines that do that afterall (and now Kameras)

honestly everyone would probably just assume ur not only the god who created/built teyvat but also have a domain in justice, comedy or honestly whatever u be playing all the time, including music, people would definitely think ur a music god too

esp if ur like me and u just turn on a cool Spotify playlist while u play sometimes, like they've probably never heard so many radically different genres songs, and so many back to back

(could definitely see a myth about u having an immortal inexhaustible musician band that has access to all the songs of the universe that u make them play for you, once again, would be hard to deny bc that's a pretty accurate description of spotify lol)

⸝⸝ᨒ "a/n"✫ wrote this less than an hour lol, pls give me some reqs, im kinda bored

Summary: Heizou didn’t mean to, he didn’t mean to hurt you or make you upset in anyway. He knew you had a crush on him since the both of you was little and was planning to marry you but…why must this happen.

You’ve been dating heizou for a long time now and he’s been a great boyfriend to you. Yeah he may flirt a little bit with his female colleagues but you tend to ignore it since he didn’t REALLY mean it. After finishing the chores in the afternoon you were planning on waiting for him to come home. Time has passed and dinner was almost ready but he wasn’t home yet. You were scared and nervous that he might of gotten hurt so you went to check at his usual workplace.

While walking in town, a friend of yours ran towards you. “HEYYY” she tackles you “how have you’ve been these days? I haven’t seen you in months” “I’ve been okay, im just walking to my boyfriend’s workplace to see why he isnt home yet” “your boyfriend? you mean you guys are still dating?” she looks at you with a confused face “yea? about 5 years now, im planning on marrying him too” you said happily while walking down the town. “oh…well..goodluck with that hehe…” she giggled as she walked away from you back to her store. You looked at her confused but forgot about it. You’ve arrived at heizou’s workplace. The police station. You walk in and see kujou sara on the way and asks her “hey sara, is heizou still here?” she looks at you with wide eyes “oh….um..” you were confused, why is that everytime you talk about your boyfriend people would stare with worried like eyes or act weird. “yes..he’s still here in his office. It’s down that hallway” she points at his door. “thank you sara, I appreciate it” she stared at you while you walk down the hallway and left. Concerned for you and that you won’t be too upset about what you are about to see. As you walk down the hallway, you could hear his voice and..another voice? A female one. It could be one of his colleagues, though it sounds like they were flirting. You did told heizou that he should stop flirting with others for a while because at some points it gets too while to where he looks like he wants to get with someone else. You walk closer to the door, tip toeing and putting your ear on the door. You hear giggling so you thought they might just be talking about something nice. Until you heard something you didn’t like.

You hear wet noises coming from the door. You were guessing they were sipping some tea until you heard something coming from his mouth. “mmmh…I love you sweetheart, you’ll ever be my best loving girlfriend. Oh I can’t wait to marry you” was he drunk? could he possibly think that the woman he’s with is you? or is he really doing what you think it is. The wet kissing noises continue and you wanted to rot. Moans and laughter are coming pass the door and you decided to slam the door open. Heizou and the woman stared at you in shock as you glare at heizou. He immediately let go of the girl and got up until you slapped him. He falls to the grown and you ran away outside of the station.

There’s no way he actually did that, right? RIGHT?! you thought as you ran home. Lock all the doors and went and pack up your stuff. He promised from when you both started dating that he would always stay with you and would forever be with you. You guess he doesn’t even care anymore because that promise is going towards another woman that you don’t even know. Just how long were they together? While packing your stuff, you hear loud banging coming from the front door. You probably thought it was heizou so ignored it. The door bust opened and he went looking for you in every room screaming you name. “Y/N! PLEASE COME OUT. I CAN EXPLAIN” explain? explain my ass I don’t wanna hear your excuses he busted your bedroom door open to see you packing your stuff away, his heart shrunk as he slowly walks towards you. “Honey….no..please” he grabs you by the shoulder. You grab his wrists and pulls if off your shoulder, slapping him afterwards. “Do not talk to me, I don’t even want to hear your excuses” you yelled “but i-” “don’t even say anything, now answer me..how long were you two together” he gulps as he stared at you. He was calling her sweetheart and saying that she’s his everything and wanted to marry her….you wanted to know how long they’ve been together because he has only said that to you ONCE.

“I..uh-” he’s studdering, of course he’s studdering. He has no excuses to make because he knows what he did was wrong. But the real question was did he ever cared for you. “answer my question you bastard before I LEAVE” you yelled “two years” he blurted out. two years they’ve been together and you never even noticed. You also never seen that woman ever in your life and he’s just doing whatever he wants with her by cheating on you. Tears kept pouring down to your chin and dripping on your shirt. You didn’t care anymore. You quickly packed up your stuff and walked away from him. He tried to grab your arm but then pulled his hand back. He knew if he’d say something, you wouldn’t care so he decided to leave you alone.

A few months later, you were casually shopping for stuff with your friend and your new boyfriend. You all were picking up clothes and buying food because your friend wanted to have a sleepover at the inn you stayed in with your boyfriend. You too haven’t been together for too long and is still getting to know eachother but you love him so much and he loves you a lot too. While passing by the food stalls, you hear giggling from across you. You look to see heizou and his girlfriend happily at the food stall sharing food. You stared at them for a bit then it started to rain. Heizou then covered up the girl with his jacket and then his eyes met yours. The both of you didn’t break eye contact until your boyfriend appeared with his jacket over yours telling you to come with him. You walk away with your boyfriend as heizou looks at you in sadness. He wonders why he did this in the first place.

hey hi hello there

So I am finally getting around to writing a proper intro post lol, so hi, i'm tsintzask, or tsin for short. i use that handle everywhere online pretty much, so if you see a tsintzask elsewhere, chances are it's me.

i have had this blog for a long time now, but only really became active here after reddit decided to ban the app i was using to access it. I was an /r/196 user who migrated to my unused blog, basically.

I'm from Greece, and I study computer science in college. As of writing this, I am about to get my degree and start my masters program, so that's going pretty good.

i would consider myself an anarchist, though i don't think humanity is currently ready for that kind of world - i think there's just too many evil people around that would seek to take advantage of things. still, the current system has got to go. the fundamental idea behind capitalism is to prioritize money over people, and that's just plain evil.

As for other stuff about me, i have been told before i have neurodivergent vibes (it wasn't in like in a derogatory way, but as a serious thing) and yeah i kinda see that. I ought to go get checked sometime

i like a lot of things, as you can see in my blog description: D&D, Pathfinder, Pokémon, Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail, Terraria, insects, cats, memes, cute/wholesome stuff, theater, basic human decency. And I wanna gush about my likes a bit-

D&D and Pathfinder

I've been a player in both d&d 5e and pathfinder 2e, and a DM in d&d 5e. we're talking whole years of doing this. making characters is really fun, and playing them is even more fun! I mostly play online over Discord, but have played a lot irl too, and still do.

Pokémon

While i'm not as into it as i used to in my teens, i have played every game from pokemon pearl up to ultra moon, but not any further as i don't own a switch. that is subject to change if/when i get more into piracy. I've also played pokemon emerald and leaf green in emulators, and i've played mystery dungeon: explorers of darkness. one of the few video games to actually make me cry, btw.

this is my most recent fascination, i've been at it for a couple years now. mihoyo makes their games so incredibly gay and i love that. while i've been a bit burnt out on genshin, i am currently enjoying star rail a whole lot! and i ship a bunch of stuff that sometimes contradicts each other, so if you see conflicting ship arts in my reblogs, there's why. part of it is that i ship kujou sara with every other girl in genshin

oh man, terraria. all of my high school energy and two of my undergrad college years went into this game, it's just so good. I occasionally do modded runs every few months now.

Theater

I'm not a theater nerd or anything, but I did go to an amateur theater group for a couple years. was fun, i'd do it again for sure!

Basic Human Decency

I just think being nice is good. i don't get argumentative often; I used to argue often, but i try to keep most of my interactions with bigots/assholes/etc as a simple joke on their expense before i block them. also, it's taking some effort, but when i have something negative to comment on someone i don't actually have reason to dislike, i've been trying to just let it go and ignore instead.

I'm bored, so i'm gonna main a random character || p1

Hello everyone! A bit of a different post for today but I wanted to switch things up. I really enjoyed making my last series so today i'll be starting a new one where I document my whole process of building + maining a new character for a bit

For those of you that like my more educational content, i'd still love if you stuck around for this one because it will cover a lot of my thought process and you might be able to pick up some tips along the way.

Let's begin!!

╰��➤ part one : ̗̀➛ goals

Obviously the description of "building and maining" a character is kinda vauge. So, here are the criteria i'm giving myself for this challenge

: ̗̀➛ level 90 the character

: ̗̀➛ crown a talent. This one is a maybe but i'd like to do it. Consider it an "extra credit" assignment for myself lol

: ̗̀➛ all artifacts have the correct stats + correct set

: ̗̀➛ at least a 60/120 or 70/140 crit ratio

: ̗̀➛ a complete team for them (not a team that will carry them though, aka hyperbloom)

: ̗̀➛ a "functional team". A team that isn't just for the showcase, but is somewhat practical for everyday use

: ̗̀➛ kill a boss with the team in a somewhat impressive amount of time. I'm not talking any crazy nukes since my Mona isn't built yet but around 5-10 seconds is the goal. I'm not gonna try to reach 100k or anything crazy with them though since if it's a "bad" character that's probably a waste of my resources

╰┈➤ part two : ̗̀➛ selecting the character

ok, so you have no reason to trust me on this but I 100% promise the character I get is the first one I roll.

I plugged all my unbuilt (all level 60 or below) characters into a wheel and, incase you're curious, here's the list:

Lynette, Mika, Candace, Dori, Yun Jin, Kirara, Gorou, Thoma Chongyun, Dehya, Charlotte, Freminet, Faruzan, Heizou, Mona, Kayea, Ninnguang, Kujou Sara, Amber, Razor, Collei

Gonna spin it now and then immediately write my first thoughts so, here we go!

Ok I got Candace! Honestly not too sure how to feel about this. One one hand her infusion should allow her to function as a DPS but since she's HP scaling, my options are limited when it comes to choosing teammates. Honestly, I think I can do this. ALSO she's super pretty and I love her design which is a plus. The wheel allllmost landed on Charlotte which is a bit of a bummer because I was eventually planning on building her but, oh well

╰┈➤ part three : ̗̀➛ build and team ideas

if you aren't interested in this kinda thing, skip to the end this section for a summary :D

ok, now I actually have to figure out a build for her. Before looking at any guides, the sets that stick out to me for maybe being viable are:

Nymph's Dream for Hydro damage bonus and attack. The attack won't boost her skill or burst damage but could help her normal attacks especially since her scalings are less than impressive. But the fact that a) one of the stats is useless for 2/3 of her kit and b) that the domain is super inefficient to farm + I have no preexisting pieces for it makes me not want to go for this set

The second set that once I immediately was drawn to after thinking of it was Marrechausse Hunter. Not only does it boos her normal and charges attack damage, but the 4pc will help a ton with crit stats. Of course, this does mean running her with Furina but I promise i'll take off her artifacts once it's time for a showcase since her summons will 100% destroy everything. The other benefits of this set are that I already have a few pieces and that I don't mind farming it for Noelle and Furina

Unfortunately the KeqingMains guide for Candace is only up to date with 4.3 but looking at the artifact section, 2pc/2pc is only 3-5% worse than Nymph's Dream. From this I think it's safe to assume that Marechausee Hunter will be at worst, only a bit less damage than ND

note: I asked on the KQM discord and it seemed like people agreed

As for weapons, I unfortunately don't have any 5 star Polearms so my options are kinda limited. Of the polearms I have, the only one that I think could work is White Tassel but with 4pc MH the crit rate might be too much when factoring in CR from substats

Other than that, Missive Windspear could work for Vaporize

I could also use Dragon's Bane for EM but atp I'm just gonna wait till artifacts are done

note from the future that i'm adding later: will probably go with missive windspear

Finally, it's time to decide a team

Because of her set, Furina is needed. I should also slot in Kazuha because it's Kazuha. For the last slot, I have a few choices

Bennet is an obvious choice for the Attack. I could also go Xiangling on 4pc Tenacity for Attack + Attack from passive + Pyro application. Probably a worse choice than Bennett

A strange but not horrible choice would actually be Lisa! Her ascension passive shreds the DEF of enemies. She can run 4pc Noblesse to buff attack and as a catalyst, can use TTDS for even more attack!

I think i'll try both Bennett and Lisa in the final showcase to see which has more damage

As for the practical team, I think a Taser (electrocharged) team with Sayu/Beidou/Furina would be a ton of fun. I chose Sayu for the teamwide heal bc I don't have Jean and she's already built

Honestly this practical team ig getting me kinda excited to play her!

Artifact Set: 4pc Marechausse Hunter

Artifact Substats: ATK/Hydro DMG/Crit DMG

Team 1: Furina (no artifacts so she doesn't destroy the enemies)/Kazuha/Bennet or Lisa

Team 2: Sayu/Furina/Beidou

Unfortunately neither her talents or the weapon materials are available today and I already condensed my resin so I'm just gonna farm level up mats lol

FINALLY SOMEONE SAID THE TRUTH.

I admit that i enjoyed act 3 but it feels like really rushed i have so much complain with that.

The build up until act 2 was so good it give us so much premise but the final blow si meh. Sorry that i want to share thing long rant with you

1. Why the final talk is with yae, no offense to her but we need ei to explain not to mention she witness khaenriah downfall so she can give us more information, i feel like they do it for the plot armor so they can just keep dragging this

2. So many things that quite inconsistant, the shogun is show no mercy to anyone that even did a little thing outside what she think its right, how come she can still have a talk with signora, when sara is falling like that, and also there is no clarification about sara right now.

The traveler was so done at first they refuse to help thoma and ayaka at the beginning. But they seem so happy and forget everything how come they are not RAGE ( okay maybe this is to bias and personal) when this nation provide nothing about our siblings information and also why they are not mention anything about their problem in ei stroy quest. Its nonsense! She is right in front of youu, ask about your siblings, ask about khaenriah, ask about ukmown god!!. How come they can just forget like that. Also mihoyo really waste the potential about twin things i thing ei will give us so much help bcs of the sympathy that we both rn lost our twin but noooo.

3. Kokomi seem lost some brain cell, she make a very succesfull grand intro but she become meh in act 3, how come a great strategist like her let the sus sponsorship slip just bcs they are desperate, not to mention her screen time is really small and her role seem so unsignificant and it feels lile she is a plain npc.

4. The awesome world quest that we have done doesnt get any mention at all! Inazuma owe us so much with cleansing sakura, thunder sakura, tatarigami, obarashi quest. It has so much potential that yae or ei or anyone else aknowledge what traveler has been done but nooo.

cracks knuckles... i suppose it's time for my promised dissertation. interestingly enough, you touched on a lot of the main issues i had with chapter III.

i think that if i had to pin the main issue, it's a lack of overall cohesiveness? we were jumping all over the place without the chance to ever flesh things out. inazuma is a smaller cast, but i feel like we didn't get to see any of them shine. since i'm most interested in the genshin characters, i'll break down my problems by going over everyone and their (lack) of impact on the story.

was ayaka not questioned or placed under suspicion for being close to thoma before his escape? i wanted to see her broken up over her duties as they relate to the yashiro commission, paired with having someone she genuinely cares about in danger. it would've been an interesting struggle if she was forced to choose one or the other. instead she just kinda took a back seat.

speaking of thoma, i don't even have anything to say, because he just... was there? for .0001 seconds. said "lol this sucks ig" and that's about it. i know we're going to get a story for him in the future since he's a 5* but i'm not getting my hopes up 😭 then in the raiden shogun's character story, man is peachy keen! be upset with the raiden shogun! have some inner conflict! even if it's just using loaded language because he's under surveillance for going against the raiden shogun, that'd be so cool. saying something like,

"Traveler, what's with that expression? Oh please, there's nothing to worry about. We're under the Statue of the Omnipresent God's protection. Nothing bad has ever happened here." *wink*

i also don't know what to say about gorou. he was... there....... i think. what is he fighting for? what are the stakes for him? what makes him place so much trust into kokomi? i'm out of things to say about him because i don't remember anything he did or said.

kokomi... oh kokomi... i was so hyped. so excited. i thought that maybe we could see a foil to the raiden shogun. that she'd have a moment where she's forced to realize, just like her opponent, sacrifices must be made that will hurt people who will never understand why she made them. or maybe something to show her military prowess. but instead she just accepts a mysterious patron's help (?), sees her people aging like the grateful dead from JJBA, and goes oh well. that sucks. what can ya do. oh bye traveler i guess, good luck with that. ????????????? HUH... similar case to thoma where she's gonna get a character story but like. she won't be the leader of the resistance anymore. that was her whole shtick. they took her shtick away. also she forced me to interact with more NPCs whose names i've already forgotten so i'm tilted about that still.

KUJOU SARA... AN INJUSTICE. A DISGRACE. a slap to my woman loving face. the build up was there. yae miko's comments about sara probably knowing the tenryou commission is involved in shady dealings, but is choosing not to think about it. sara being forced to confront reality and challenge her adopted father with the truth. being able to blaze a new path for herself in the process. when she started running to the raiden shogun i was ultra hyped up. sara, a devotee to the shogun for so long, was about to see her god interacting with the same people who led inazuma to this awful state. how would she react? would she stay ignorant, like yae miko so coyly said, choosing to look away in favor of following her god's footsteps? or would she be forced to recognize the raiden shogun isn't as divine as she once thought, and challenge her belief system?

we open the door to see the raiden shogun. the loading screen ensues. the camera pans to the ominous room, clouded in darkness, hinting at the ominous confrontation that is to come. the music takes a serious timbre. and then...

well fuck that potential character arc i guess. (we still don't know what sara made of any of this since she poofed out of existence from the story at this point)

kazuha also was handed a similar treatment. we've been with him for a while longer now. he is our introduction into inazuma, the one who first gets us emotionally involved by regaling us with the bittersweet tale of friendship that led him to becoming a wanted criminal. a kind soul who loves nature yet was dealt a cruel hand by fate, forced to watch his home nation turn into a hostile place, where his dear friend ultimately perished as a result. we get the scene with his friend's vision lighting back up. he parries a block from the raiden shogun, in the same area where his friend was killed by her. the parallels. the drama. except this time, he wasn't too late. he protected the traveler where he "failed" to protect his friend in the past. did he feel redemption at this? or was it a bittersweet reminder of what could've been?

WELL i guess we'll never know because we didn't get to talk to him again 😭 idk who got a bait and switch worse, him or sara. jesus christ mihoyo.

then we have signora. why is the raiden shogun talking to her? does she know about the gnosis being taken, and if she doesn't, what was her plan to get it from the archon? what does she think about scaramouche? and oh, okay, we're fighting here now. good fight + god tier music. pog pog. okay, now we've beaten her up, and raiden shogun wyd— wait no not signora her lore is still on CUPS not YET raiden shogun and— ah she's dead. okay. non nerds who didn't read artifact lore are going to know nothing about her. signora has such an interesting story, and yet... well. ok.

then we get raiden shogun redemption (?) arc. i was hype for this as well, though at that point, idk why i bothered being hype. i knew they were gonna do a cute power of friendship something or another, and i'm good with that, so long as it's executed well. what i was envisioning was like seven different buffs to correspond with the seven different visions, the dreams of those whose ambitions were stolen serving as the spear to penetrate the raiden shogun's heart of stone. maybe a hydro vision giving us extra healing for a time, with the voice acting over it being like,

"Even if the rest of the world forgets us, let our will carry you through this one final time. Succeed where we couldn't, Traveler."

so on and so forth.

but instead we got— you get the idea at this point. why bother spelling it out anymore.

at that point i was surprised the raiden shogun didn't go "oopsie woopsie!! we made a fucky wucky!!!" because that was the vibe i was getting. i love ei, don't get me wrong, but i wanted to see her challenged with what she had done to inazuma in the past year. maybe meeting NPC #2345259 who lost her sister to the vision decree or something, reminding ei of the love she held for her sister... being forced to come to terms with the extent of what she's done in pursuit of eternity.

anyway. please for the love of god mihoyo hire better writers for the main story. that is all i ask. thank you.

"ready to go?"

gorou grinned as he looked down at you, his bow at his side while you held your polearm in your hands.

"don't know, this rock is pretty comfortable," he smacked you lightly in the shoulder, "alright alright, i'm ready to set off. lets beat those shogunate soldiers to the ground again.

the general walked away as he started to speak to other soldiers. your hands clenched around the polearm as you frowned. the resistance hasn't been doing so well in fights, they've been pushed back a far bit in the past months from their original position. her excellency is still gone too. yashiori island wasn't nice to its inhabitants with the constant thunder and lightning.

it's ben a stressful time for everyone in the resistance and you didn't want to lose. you had escaped to the resistance in hope of keeping for vision face, and to fight back against the unruly shogun. though you never forgot one of her generals…

a hand patted your shoulder as you looked up abruptly.

just another soldier.

"we're setting off."

you nodded in reply and stood, gripping your polearm tight at your side. maybe if the resistance could win this fight, there'd be hope to win more. though you had to admit, you were still nervous of being able to win the fight.

the weather on nazuchi beach was more forgiving. it was still cloudy but at least there wasn't thunder striking right in front of you multiple times. nor was there a harsh downpour that hit everyone no matter the time of day either. dendrobiums blew with the wind in the distance. they were beautiful. a flower with dark meanings, but also stunning to look at. you put placed some on your parents' graves.

"another fight, another day without your strategist i see."

you looked up to see who was talking and -

oh.

oh no.

could you still fall in love with the enemy even now?

you looked away, now was not exactly the time to get distracted by the enemy. just because you had known her before, doesn't mean you can exactly fall for her in the middle of the battlefield. instead, you looked on to face the general.

you couldn't see gorou's facial expression but you doubt he had the normal smile on his face. you could see his ears pinned to his head as the grip on his bow got tighter.

"soldiers of the resistance aren't something to frown upon."

"all you wish for is futile. the shogun will win against this war."

the air was thick with tension as the shogun's general raised her bow into the sky. everyone was silent.

"attack!"

and with that, everyone charged at each other.

you sprinted forward as a shogunate soldier ran to you, polearm pointed right at your chest. you dodged out of the way and stabbed at their side. getting more blood on your hands wasn't exactly a problem by now. metal struck against metal as you fought against the soldier. though you stood victorious with one more strike to their chest as they fell to the ground.

looking out, you saw many more soldiers fighting against each other. your comrades laid on the ground unmoving as did shogunate soldiers as well. you saw the soldier that spoke to you before setting off against the ground, holding up their own polearm as they were being overpowered. with a grunt, you threw your weapon at the soldier in hopes of it hitting something.

the soldier looked at the approaching weapon before moving to dodge out of the way. your comrade took the chance to stand and fight back against the soldier as you ran to your weapon to assist.

"find another! i can take down this one!" your comrade yelled.

you gave a nod and run off as you watched them fight against the soldier. you'd have to hope they'd come back alive.

something whizzed past your ear as you turned around. only to see a figure charging at you with a bow in her hand.

ah, the general. the one you had met before.

you wiped your forehead of sweat before charging at her as well, trying to dodge the incoming arrows as she approached. one shot towards you and struck at your arm. the feeling of blood warm blood dripping down made a familiar smirk graced your face as you struck at the general. she was still a formidable opponent, as she had dodged your strikes easily and dealt more to you. your sleeves would be ruined by the end of this.

her eyes glared at you as she quickly readied another shot at your chest, you bent down and tried to sweep her to the ground but she dodged backwards.

"you have yet to improve much," she taunted.

the generals hair stuck to her forehead from sweat as you continued to attack her. you had at least been able to strike at her arm as it bled.

"and neither has that smile ever disappeared."

your eyes widened as she shot at your head, with a quick dodge you got out of the way but she charged at you and knocked you to the ground. the general knocked your polearm away as she held an arrow against your throat. her eyes were filled with fire as you felt it just barely cut into the skin.

your chest heaved as you looked up at her, she hadn't changed from the last time you had met her, fought against her. sweat dripped down your face and body as a smile grew on your face.

she pressed the arrow further against your throat., "i'll kill you, you're a threat to what i fight for. to our shogun."

"kill me if you want, i won't regret dying by your hands," you grinned further.

"you are no different from those years ago."

"neither are you."

"retreat! fall back!"

gorou's voice rung through the air. ah, so the resistance had failed once again it seems.

in a moment of surprise, the general moved the arrow from your throat and stood up.

"leave, but next time, i will not be so forgiving."

"i'll hold you to those words," you said, standing back up, "my friend,"

if you thought her glare was harsh before, it was practically stabbing you by now. she kicked your polearm to you as she walked away, sparing no glance back at you.

the walks back to camp, especially after defeats, were always the quietest. everyone in the resistance seemed beaten down as they held a saddened look on their face. was washed by rain once you had reentered camp, many of your comrades leaving to get patched up.

you held your throat as you thought back to her. she spared you, again. she even said the last time you met her she wouldn't spare you. yet she did. she even yelled that you were her enemy, the one she'd never forgive again.

you bandaged up your own wounds as you thought about that fight all that time ago. maybe… maybe you could see her again. make her forgive you. maybe she could fall for you too.

— warning!!! spoilers for the 2.1 genshin impact archon quest, and a lot of disappointment up ahead. also disclaimer: i am not by any means qualified to give this criticism lol this is just my take and my opinion on the quest's execution, and i need a place to rant.

I can't be the only one who feels very conflicted about the 2.1 archon quest, right??

I think one of the appeals of inazuma's main story was the fact that there was a war, an ongoing conflict between a nation and its deity - the fact that the archons' moralities are not so black and white as we'd thought is hammered home by the dictating reign of the raiden shogun, in contrast to both rex lapis and barbatos, who have directly aided the traveller in their previous endeavours.

the 2.1 archon quest, though?? it feels as if ei is played off to just be a lonely and misunderstood deity, and she so easily changes after... what? yae miko visits her in her realm of euthymia? the shogun knew of the repercussions of the vision hunt decree, the tenryou commission's involvement with the fatui, and even the civil war.

so why was the plot building up to the reveal that the raiden shogun may have just been mislead by false commission reports? what difference does it make that both the tenryou and kanjirou commissions have betrayed the shogun if she already knew they colluded with the fatui?

I hold nothing against ei's character — in fact, I love the way her ideals seem perfect on paper, but works in detriment to the very people she wants to protect. I love that she struggles to understand how eternity is not stagnation, and that growth is the only thing that will stay forever unchanging, because all moments are fleeting, and all life ends.

but mihoyo makes it extremely hard for me to enjoy her story completely when all we do is fight her and rely on the power of friendship vision bearers' ambitions to change her mind about the vision hunt decree. like, ,, what gives?? everything happened so quickly, how could she so easily throw away the ideals she's been so adamantly holding onto for decades?

I haven't done her story quest, but it looks like she's not even being taken accountable for being the spearhead in a literal civil war. all those vision bearers who lost their lives ( including kazuha's friend ), all the common people she has harmed because of her tunnel vision - she lifts the vision hunt decree and she is suddenly absolved? of course, I don't want a perfect morally good character, but at the very least mihoyo can show us that she is not so perfect so as to suddenly change her mind about the vision hunt decree and sporadically feel compassion for the very people she knows she has harmed.

I'm sure people are also really shocked about signora's death - I am too. I was never a fan of signora but her presence was always filled with mystery, intrigue, and an impending sense of doom. she was that antagonist - beautiful, hauntingly cruel, and jam-packed with unknown backstory ( as seen with the crimson witch and pale flame artifact set lore ) that I thought was going to be further explored on future quests. but?? she??? just???? dies???? and for what?

I don't mind if she dies ( in fact, I would like for an opportunity to use traveller to execute her myself ), but the fact that her death brings no substance to the overarching story, especially since scaramouche just. got the gnosis from yae miko. like, mihoyo can do signora MUCH better than this. she deserves a glorious death as a fleshed-out antagonist, yet I felt nothing for her, not even the slightest bit of satisfaction, when she disappeared into ashes.

and scaramouche. I like the guy, he's funny-looking, and kind of sadistic. the fact that he was appearing in inazuma was a welcome surprise. it made sense, considering he was confirmed to be from inazuma, and there were theories about he and the shogun's similar appearamces which I eagerly consumed. but he appears for like, 3 minutes, and then we're KNOCKED OUT???? seriously???????

when yae miko suddenly appeared I actually thought she'd betrayed us and was working with the fatui. but then she wakes us up, tells us nothing about the SINGLE MOST important exchange in the whole quest until AFTER the main conflict is resolved, and just dumps scaramouche's identity on us as a SIDE COMMENT. what is this tomfoolery??? we weren't even there to see it? at least give us a cutscene explaining what went down, because this was LITERALLY one of the most important parts of the entire archon quest, and one of the recurring goals of the traveller.

also, can we talk about the resistance? oh wait a minute, we can't, because they literally did nothing. absolutely nothing. they contributed a total of 0 times the whole quest. only teppei was a memorable figure, and he had more lore than the upcoming 5-star master strategist of the whole army; kokomi.

as a person who loves kokomi, i am devastated by the lack of actual role she holds within the plot. she is a famed strategist and the only reason the resistance has been holding out for so long, as kujou sara said herself. but she's not given so much as a 30-second fight scene, and we never see her cunning wits on the battlefield - we probably never will. why, you may ask? well, because the freaking war is OVER. because baal just decided to stop the vision hunt decree.

i sincerely hope there will be more substantial kokomi content during her banner where we get to see her shine, seeing as it seems that mihoyo is already nerfing her abilities and focusing their efforts into promoting ei instead.

however, seeing as the main inazuma conflict ( the vision hunt decree ) is already over and dealt with... what the frick is kokomi supposed to bring to the table??? 😃 the one character i feel that shone throughout the quest was kujou sara, who had actually had a set-up for potential character development from the previous patch. but even then she's rendered unconscious by signora in front of the archon she is the loyal right-hand of??? like y'all pls tell me I'm not dreaming.

I loved the graphics, the concept, the lore - but the execution fell flat and felt terribly rushed. I wonder if it's because mihoyo is very insistent on hyper-fixating upon the raiden shogun this update.

anyway, that was a long tangent lmao. if you enjoyed the quest, good for you!! I enjoyed it, too; but my enjoyment is far overshadowed by the glaring issues that i had with it. i'd love to hear other people's thoughts about the quest.

You put your hands in your head, shaking it repeatedly "Childe, why?" you sighed, rolling your eyes. You were completely embarrassed "Sorry, sir, I-I'll pay for it!" you interrupted Childe while he was bargaining.

Childe chuckled, looking at you "Apologies. I was just joking, I'll pay full price" he said, taking out his money to pay "We'll eat this later" you held the paper bag that had the dango in a milk

You breathed a sigh of relief. You were so full that you couldn't eat anymore! Seriously! This man is going to make you explode. Is he serious? This was the stall that he said you'll never forget? He was right, because of his actions you'll never forget it now. He must've done this a million times to the vendor. Poor guy, he didn't seen to be bothered though.

There are a lot of stalls nearby. You see someone selling masks and thought it was going to be cute when his siblings wear it "Childe!! Omg look"

You pulled him towards the stall immediately and quickly he started picking some "Well, these are cute for Teucer and the the others. They'd be surprised I went to Inazuma"

"Oh, y/n, you're here?" While Childe was looking for some other masks, actually, he looked like he was going to buy them all, Thoma and Ayaka passed by you.

"Thoma, Ayaka, hello" You waved, "How are you?"

Ayaka bowed gently "All are getting along fine, I assume. What brings you to the land of Inazuma?" she smiled, seemingly excited

"Actually, I have no idea, Childe brought me here but hey, I always love it here" You smiled brightly, it's true. Inazuma is quite a beautiful place. It always feel like home somehow.

Thoma was knitting "Milady and I are on our way to talk to the Yashiro Commission, we just got done dealing with the others here. It was so serious that even Milady has to come and talk to them" he said, not making eye contact, he must have a lot of things to do if he has to knit while traveling.

"Don't let me keep you, I wish you guys good luck" and with that Ayaka bowed gently, waving bye to you, Thoma waved too while they both walked away.

Childe was still not done choosing masks. You decide to go and help him "Childe! Still not done? Ayaka and Thoma just—" you peek from his side, he bought half of the shop's stock!! "Isn't that a bit too much?!"

"Well! I don't know what my siblings would prefer so I bought a lot to give them choices" he protested, just then you received a text message from Kaeya

'I see you're with that fucking twat'

You sighed, "Kaeya just won't stop" upon hearing the name Kaeya, Childe immediately stared at you then grabbed the phone "Hey!"

"I'll send him a text: Fucking loser, go get a life" Childe laughed after sending. You'd block Kaeya but Childe just loves texting him back mean messages. He even tells you to not block him.

'I know that's you, fucking pussy. PS your pics are ugly as shit'

"Childe! don't even answer! Let's just go on our way" Your brows furrowed with your arms crossed. He enjoyed the thrill of having to text back series of curses. He gave you back your phone with a pout.

He held your hand tightly "You're mine, of course" his other hand holding all the masks, you were sure he was going to ask someone to send it to Schneznaya and you were right. Soon enough while walking, someone came to meet the both of you to take them.

You never knew they had workers here in Inazuma too "Wow, no more —" you didn't finish talking because there was suddenly a ruckus.

A lot of people were gathered in front of you "What's happening?" Childe said, moving in front of you in case something bad happens. He held your hand tightly while you both go near to see.

"What the hell? Is that a fucking oni?" You were surprised, the people around you doesn't seem to be bothered at all by this. An oni dressed like a sumo wrestler and the leader of the Tenryou Commission, Kujou Sara was there.

Even Childe was surprised "Why's he wearing that?" finally, you both let your guard down. The people around you seemed to be entertained by this.

"Kujou Tengu! You finally agreed to a rematch!! I never expected you to show at this place!!" The oni laughed out loud, he had no shame wearing that at all. Kujou Sara just sighed, rubbing her forehead.

"You idiotic crimson oni, I'm only here because several people complained about you wearing that mawashi" She sighed, her men by her side "And several people complained that you were too loud"

Childe started pulling you away "I guess that's pretty normal here in Inazuma?" he chuckled, looking back at you.

You nodded "I guess so, people were quite entertained. Was that a show?" Childe shook his head saying he doesn't know but the banter between them was funny.

While the two of you were walking, he shouted "Look!" before running towards a man holding something funky "Hello. May I ask what that is?"

The man looked so suspicious but of course Childe wouldn't be scared. He always wants a fight. He hoped it was a fight just so he could show off.

The man answered "This can teleport you anywhere but it only works once" he smirked "I'll let you use it if you pay me"

Childe started thinking but not long enough he said "Deal. Name your price"

You slapped his shoulders slightly "Childe!! Are you sure about this? He looks so sketchy"

The man spoke, saying what amount he wanted. Childe just smirked saying "That's it?"

You both used what the man sold you, in an instant you were in Watatsumi Island "What a time saver! We should've had that device before going to Inazuma" you sighed

He giggled "But the travel was fun" holding your hand again "I get to be with you longer" you were both in a bridge, it was so beautiful there.

You smiled, squeezing his hand. You look to the side and see Kokomi and Gorou, talking. You decided not to interfere, they looked serious.

"Do you know them?" Childe asked and you nodded

"Yeah, Kokomi and Gorou, I'm surprised you don't know Kokomi atleast" You chuckled "Everybody knows her here"

"Well — maybe I'll get to someday, with you" He smiled, "It's getting pretty late, let's eat those dango in a milk and head back"

You both eat while telling each other stories, about your travel, about the things you want to do in the future.

He told you that he misses his home so much, that he wanted to be with his siblings, that he wanted you to meet them. He was sure they were going to love you and you were going to love them.

The night was filled with laughter and love. You both bonded.

Fast forward, you were back in Liyue, about to go back to the teapot but had some trouble on the way.

"Finally! I get to show off!" Childe was beyond happy, he was training really hard lately "Stay back, I'll protect you"

You can easily beat those hilichurls too but you just giggled and let him protect you. He was so cute.

You took some pics of him, fangirling in silence because he looked so cool. You knew he's appreciate these pictures later.

You change your phone's wallpaper, admiring it while he was fighting. A few moments later, he was done, he was sweating so he started removing his jacket.

"C-Childe!! Why are you undressing!?" You exclaimed, feeling embarrassed, covering your eyes. He laughed then put it back on and wiped his sweat. You felt guilty because he was sweating so much.

You wiped his sweat using your sleeves "Stay still"

His eyes widen "Y-your clothes! D-Don't do that" he didn't move though so you continued, he was clearly blushing. You thought he was so cute.

You were smiling brightly while fixing him up, you stroked his hair, you were surprised that it was so soft.

He was losing his composure so he started walking "A-Anyway! Let's go back, it's getting pretty late" he laughed nervously. Any more of those stuff and he would've kissed you

You nodded as he held your hand again, guiding you back to Mond. You both spent a peaceful trip, just bonding again. This week has been fun, with Childe, anything turns out great.

You were both in the teapot. You greeted Tubby and went in the house. Childe has spent lots of days here with you but it still makes you feel nervous. You've been with him a long time but nothing has ever happened, not even a kiss. Just cuddles, hugs and holding hands.

Childe went in your room before you and went in the bathroom. He was so sweaty from earlier that he decided to take a short bath. He has spare clothes anyway.

You went to the other room to use that one, earlier you didn't want to take a bath but now you want to because Childe did.

A few minutes later, you went inside your room only to find him fixing your books on the table. Before he could notice you, you took a pic and giggled to yourself.

You just stared at him lovingly. You realized that you can't live without him anymore. Ever since he came into your life, it has never been boring, unlike before.

You do love him.. so much that just the thought of him gone makes you cry. You've never felt this before, Childe was different.

You want to spend the rest of your life with him, like this, him on the sofa, fixing and reading books. That's when you decided.

You ran up to him and kissed him, slowly you leaned away "I-I love you Childe"

He gave you smile and whispered "Me too, so much" cupped your face then kissed you again, deeply this time. It was like he was waiting for this moment to come, completely entranced by the kiss.

You were sleeping on the bed while Childe cuddles with you. He was stroking your hair, watching you sleep. He wanted to wake up everyday seeing your face.

"Don't leave me" He whispered before embracing you under the sheets "I can't live without you"

If someone were to hurt you, who knows what he'll do? If you weren't in his life right now, he would probably be somewhere causing trouble, fighting.

You spend the day cuddling with each other on the bed, sleeping peacefully in other's presence.

Ive been doing pretty good at keeping up in the game I think. I’m ar45, probably more like 47 by now, I haven’t felt confident enough to do the acension thingie. I just got some good rolls on yoimiyas banner! I felt really really tempted to wish lately, and I must’ve reached soft pity or something because I got Jean, my second five star! I wished a bit more and also got diona! Getting characters makes me really glad. I’m trying to build diona so she can be my healer instead of Barbra. I’m sorry barbie, but two healers, a four and five star? mihoyos telling me something (besides spend more money).

im sort of up to date with the archon quests? I finished a while back now and I’ve done a few Inazuma archon quests, but I have yet to do all of them. I’m a little worried on whether I did something wrong…? I’ve only met yoimiya and I don’t finish her archon question but it looks like now There aren’t any more archon quests queued, so idk what’s happening there. I’m probably jus5 forgetting something. im not super crazy about any of the new Inazuma characters tbh though, at least not the playable ones- I love Kazari. Baal is pretty but im more of an appreciator than a simp.

wish me luck getting Dionas artifacts, Ill need it.
