Just saw the new hunger games movie and it wassssss

Somehow better than all four of the previous movies what the fuck. The world building was on point, the tension was palpable, the performances especially from the guy who played Snow and the girl who played Lucy Gray were good, it was visually pleasant to look at and somehow so colorful despite how grey and dreary much of Panem is. I can't comment on how well it adapts the whole book because I've only made it halfway through but I would say it trims the fat where necessary to make the first half flow well while getting all the important pieces together. The story ended a bit sooner than I would've liked (I thought we'd see Snow a bit older by the end) but it still had a solid ending. It's almost 3 hours long but I'd still gladly rewatch it again sooner than I would the previous four movies (which still hold a place in my heart don't get me wrong)

Rly good 7.5/10 will be watching again god bless

Tony snorted shaking his head while Steve tried handing Peter a set of files “ Here, it’s all about Buckys arm and since you’re friends with Shuri we figured that you would know how to fix it the best” Steve explained awkwardly looking out of place as he patted Buckys shoulder

“ There done-“ he started to walk off only for Bucky to put a hand on his shoulder and stop him. Peter turned around, insults ready to go. Only for them to meet eyes. All the insults Peter could think of died on his tongue. He felt something different, something warm and unfamiliar.

“ I just wanted to thank you for fixing me up doll, it really means a lot.”

Peter broke out of his trance and gripped Becky’s wrist with some spider grip” You sure are a hell of a more talkative when we are alone. And don’t call me doll” he said without any fight in his voice as he’s trying to regain control of himself

Bucky looked at Peters hand in surprise only for Peter swear underneath his breath” You’re sp-“

“ Not another word Barnes. Unless you want me to wipe the floor with you a second time? ” Peter threatened “ Captain of abandonment will not be finding out either. Are we clear?”

Steve looked scandalized “ Tony!”

Yo Hajime talk abt ur kin mems

since there were no specifications on which ones i am going to start from the beginning and go where my brain takes me from there. they're all gonna be for hajime bc i physically cannot think about my other memories anymore jsyk

also! this ended up being so long i had to put a cut. i will not be apologizing because i feel no remorse.

so first the basic stuff, i remember having a med skin tone and a FUCK ton of freckles like those motherfuckers were everywhere i had skin. also i was 5'7 i think?? or 5'6. i still can't remember exactly but it's something like that. i was also alloaro, some form of mlm, unfortunately cis, and autistic and probably had some other stuff like adhd or depression or whatever but i forgot. also i was kinda muscle-y but also chubby at the same time. and i had light green eyes. basically i was fanon hajime JSJSKDJDKS

and i was going over the wiki recently and my personality was EXACTLY how they described it like i'm genuinely surprised they got it so accurate

i don't remember much pre-game and post game, most of my memories are in game but i do remember pre game chiaki really well, honestly i rly miss her :( she would always reassure me that i didn't need a talent and i never even cared when she beat me in games cus just simply playing them with her was so fun .,.,,;:,,...,,!:&:&:jsjdjskskck</3

anyways. in game. ok. i'm gonna skip over memories where i just know feelings and not specific things like strong feelings or ppl saying stuff or else this would be so long. also obvious sdr2 spoilers

so i remember the party & blackout in the beginning of the game pretty clearly. i was mostly just standing alone in the corner and watching everyone have fun, but it was really freeing to see the others able to enjoy themselves in such pressing circumstances. then the blackout-- it was kinda like all that happiness going away and the dread and denial immediately setting in .

anyways i remember like panicking and wanting to cry when i lifted the table cloth cus i really liked twogami. i'm p sure i did end up crying cus i really liked them for their realism and leadership skills, and the realization that one of us killed them and that the killing game was actually real etc etc

anyway i don't remember much from the investigation or trial besides being really freaked out when nagito basically admitted to being the killer n stuff, and pretty much all the body discoveries after that (besides ch 5) we're just like "ah shit here we go again" but i do remember mikans trial really freaking me out when she just straight up shifted completely, and i also remember being really proud of fuyuhiko for putting his walls down a bit and deciding to help everyone out while the despair disease was going around

anyway enough of the boring stuff, i spent basically all my free time with komaeda, chiaki and mikan (in order of frequency) and with mikan i mostly listened to her talk about medical stuff and i comforted her when she needed to vent, but i didn't hang out with her much because the constant apologizing n stuff started to bother me since i really liked seeing her happy. chiaki i would mostly play games with and we wouldn't talk much, but she gave me a really strong sense of familiarity like when we played games together it gave me a shit ton of deja vu

AND i've already talked a lot about komaeda but idc i'm doing it again. so we started talking cus of him waking me up on the beach obvs and i was pretty attached right off the bat, but i stopped talking to him for awhile because the way he acted in the first trial REALLY scared me so i just got a pit in my stomach even being around him

but he was the one who started approaching me first, i'm guessing since he couldn't rly sense anything was wrong he just kinda picked things up where they left off and started talking w me at breakfast n stuff and it was pretty weird at first, but i wanted to give him a chance and didn't wanna be rude so i accepted offers to hang out in his cottage n stuff

i remember he has surgery scars tho and i'm rly mad ppl don't draw him with any!! i think he had about 5 and i don't remember all of them but i know one was a skin graft on his leg and the one on his side/stomach that i touched wassssss for appendix removal maybe???? mmmm i'm not too sure about that one tho

also !!!! his death. hoooooly shit. ok so yunno the despair that junko always talks about ?????? yeah <3!! i remember like once i saw his body and took the reality in i just. straight up could NOT stand i like fell to my knees and jsut . cried. like i had no thoughts my head was so full that it was empty i just kinda sat there and silent cried while chiaki stood next to me it was so awful dude

later while investigating n stuff i felt really bad ab how i treated him and thought about him, and i thought a lot about our last interaction. it was the first time i had ever approached him myself cus usually he'd come to me. i was gonna hang out with chiaki but i wanted to check up on him first, so i did and he told me to go hang out with the others and i just. knew something terrible was about to happen.

OH AND THE FUNHOUSE OMG ok i literally. i usually didn't mind being around komaeda like he was chill most of the time when he wasn't ranting about hope but when he was acting like such a bitch in the funhouse i wanted to punch his stupid twink ass so bad like...... what BUSINESS does this dude have being such an asshole. he doesn't even know what face wash is. what the fuck. which is another fun fact! komaeda did shower every so often which is why he didn't smell that bad but his skin was always so dry cus he didn't know how to actually wash right and do proper skincare so he just washed his face w soap and left it like that

also he didn't need to cut his nails cus they were so brittle they would just break off on their own <3 plus he had a nail biting habit so they just never grew ever

OH AND THIS IS THE SADDEST THING i remember feeling so bad for this man bc i would like put my hand on his shoulder and he would lean into it. i mean i'd tap his shoulder for a SECOND and girl when i let go hed be lowkey so sad i could just sense it like??????dude he needed a hug SSO BAD like when i hugged him in my cuddling memory he was like holding on for dear life but also was like "u dOnT hAvE tO tOuCh TrAsH LiKe mE hAjImE" like dude it was the saddest shit. i want to hug him forever. like what the fuck what the fuck!!!!!!!!!

also a thing hed do when he started ranting ab hope n shit like he would just go on and on and yunno that one sprite where he's hugging himself yeah he literally did that shit. also sometimes hed just stare dead at me and start backing me into a corner ((ish-- we were usually sitting somewhere but he mostly just got super close to me) and it was the scariest shit i. bro if i saw him like that on the streets i'd return him to the mental hospital like i can remember it somewhat vividly and that shit was TERRIFYING i mean obvs after i shoved him away and told him to cool it he'd apologize and go back to the way he was but jeez dude ....

Well this got long quickly...

1. How long ago did you discover The Dark Crystal, and how?

I wassssss three or four, I think? So over two decades ago by this point (because yo’ girl here is dusty). It was Easter and my aunt gave me THIS:

Before anyone asks: no, I did not dig this old-as-balls VHS out for the sake of this ask. It was already sitting in my room. 

(Also I want everyone to know that I wonder every single day which skeksis that’s supposed to be on the cover. Is that supposed to be skekSil?? Is that Sil?? Why does he Look Like That???)

I had a very complicated relationship with this movie for most of my childhood, actually? Which - on that note - unnecessary tangential story time!

When me and my little sister ( @shuri-flurry ) were little, our parents used to take us to this video place to rent movies, yeah? And the place they’d take us to would frequently have The Dark Crystal playing on the TVs they had mounted towards the ceiling of the store. “Previewing the merchandise,” or something.

(Upon reflection, though, there was seemingly no reason for them to have had Dark Crystal playing. This would have been in the mid to late 90s, and therefore well after the movie had been released and needing to be advertised. So I’m not sure what the Video Vision employees thought they were doing there).

My little sister and I - despite having already seen the movie at this point and therefore knowing exactly what we were looking at - were royally freaked out. To the degree that for months afterwards we would be coming up with battle strategies in the car whenever we were taken to rent movies. Essentially, put your head down as soon as you walk through the door so you couldn’t see the TVs, and KEEP it down until you’d discerned whether or not Dark Crystal was playing and how much risk you were in of seeing a skeksis (as long as you couldn’t see them move you were safe).

Now, reading all of the above you’d think I didn’t like the move, right? Wrong! I loved the movie, and would watch in on loop. And my favorite part of it was, in fact, a fucking skeksis (which we’ll get to in a sec here). It’s just that for some ungodly reason, I was utterly terrified of the thing that brought me joy.

Figure that one out.

2. If you watched TDC as a child, who were your favorites then, and who are they now? If not, do you think that your child self would have enjoyed it?

My fave back in the day was our most beloved bastard, dear skekSil. For as much as the skeks freaked me out as a kid, I couldn’t resist falling in love with Sil. Mostly because my villain-lovin’ baby-heart felt incredibly bad for him. Not only was he picked on by the other skeksis (from a toddler’s point of view, at least), but when he talked to Jen and Kira, they were mean and ran away!! Even after he saved them from the Garthim!! RUDE you guys, not cool!!

(I knew that he didn’t have Jen and Kira’s best interests at heart when he was talking about “peace,” but I couldn’t quite comprehend it at that age. If that makes any sense at all.)

He’s still up there in my top 5, although now it’s because as an adult I can appreciate just how cutthroat and devious he is, all while doing it so... uniquely. In all of fiction, there’s only ONE Chamberlain. 

He’ll be very aggrieved to know that he’s sharing the spotlight with several others now, though (all still skeks; don’t know if this counts as irony or just me upholding my brand): 

SkekSo has clawed his way up the ranks, which knowing him either involved stalking his way up to the front of the line of potential faves and expecting everyone to just. Move out of the way for him (which, credit, they did), or it involved actual clawing. The emperor that AoR showed us would absolutely rip a bitch’s face off to bolster himself, and damn him, I adore him for it.

I’ve always had a soft-spot for scientists and abused underlings, and when you combine the two you get skekTek. Obviously he’s a fave. Honestly, his character is kind of more what my child-self had initially interpreted Sil to be, but with the addition of snapping under the abuse and violently committing murder (so he continues to check all my boxes!)

Is there a single person in this fandom who DOESN’T have skekGra somewhere on their list of favorite characters? Anyone? Because he’s certainly on mine.

Last but not least (none of these are in any kind of order, honestly), we’ve got skekLi, and Wig it is ENTIRELY your fault for this. I didn’t even need to meet him in canon - I didn’t even need to read the book he’s in (y’know, literally his only canon appearance???) because you swooped the fuck in and made him the most lovable creature in existence. The impudence.

11. Three favorite romantic ships?

Wig, why would you ask me a question you already know the answer to? You’re the reason I ship anything in this fandom, I was a blank slate before you. Have I not gushed enough? Have I left room for doubt in your mind?

Listing these in chronological order of when I got dragged in if anyone’s interested in knowing, here we go:

a. Li/Gra

When we first started talking, Wig sent me a variety of arts, right? Because she’s sweet like that. Among them was this, which I babbled in the tags on (jokingly, this was only supposed to be a JOKE!), and, in response, she sends me this. Then, while I’m floundering, she drops THIS on me. And then followed that up with about, ohhhh, three, four months? Of developing, pure, heart-wrenching ANGST. 

And that’s how I got tricked into shipping Li/Gra.

b. Sil/Ung

This used to be a pairing I didn’t understand the hype for. Like... Yeah, okay, they had the rivalry thing going in the movie for all of five seconds, but apart from that I couldn’t comprehend any interesting ways their characters could bounce off each other. There was no chemistry as far as I could see.

Enter Wig, sliding into my DMs one day, sending me cute art. Then, after softening me up with this initial strike, she casually goes, “have you heard about this scrapped early plot idea in the novel where Zok initiates another trial by stone after Ung won the first one, and uses the reflection in his sword to break the rock leading to Ung being exiled too?” 

And then, when I was weak, finished me off with "AU WHERE THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENS AND THEY HAVE TO BEGRUDGINGLY WORK TOGETHER TO GET BACK INTO THE CASTLE."

One dramatic reimaging of the movie, several instances of character development, and the dramatic culmination of all discussed -later, and I’m sobbing my entire shipping heart out.

And that’s how I got tricked into shipping Sil/Ung.

c. So/Li 

This one I’ll accept partial responsibility for, since I was technically the one to go “hey wait-” over it, but I would have never stumbled on the realization if I’d never talked to Wig, so I’m still holding her accountable.

This all started when Wig reblogged this, and then we got talking about how this angle might affect Li’s relationship with So. Things escalate and then suddenly it hits me: A demanding, violent tyrant, and the ONE(1) asshole who is both not afraid to and routinely gets away with aggressively taking the piss outta him?? That is FANTASTIC. I’m only human for God’s sake how is one person supposed to be able to resist that kind of dynamic-??

And that’s how I- ah shit. I didn’t technically get tricked into this one, I played myself. My pattern is all thrown off.

28. If skekEkt wanted to design something especially for you, what would you ask him to make (formal wear, armor, an accessory etc.)?

Hooooo boy, okay, here’s the thing: I never know how to respond to people wanting to like... GIVE me things. Or DO things for me. And I don’t imagine I’d feel any less awkward when the person wanting to do things for me is a friggin’ skeksis, who aren’t known for their generosity. It’d make me feel like an exception and I don’t know if I could cope with that.

More to the point, I’m literally a cartoon character. Y’wanna know what my daily outfits usually consist of? I take t-shirts, sweatshirts, and sweatpants (or jeans if I’m going out) that are two or three sizes too big, and then I layer. I call it “I’ve rolled out of a dumpster please leave me to my business” -chic. 

None of which meshes with Ekt’s brand of style at all. Nor does Ekt strike me as the type who’d tolerate his creative vision to being restricted in any form, if you catch my drift.

So not only am I awkward and uncomfortable with people doing things for me, but he’d be doing something for me where I wouldn’t know what to do with the finished product.

Just kill me it’d be so much easier.

I feel like I shouldn’t be worrying given that both my parents have stable sources of income and have started buying non-essentials like socks for Cooper and boxes of desserts, but with Covid still making everything uncertain I will always be paranoid about this.

But with everyone being busy and I myself being swamped with work, it’s just so hard to gauge when someone’s gonna be free and open to talk.

Was your mom a cheerleader in high school? She was super interested in cheerleading but I don’t think her high school had a varsity for it. She wanted to be one so bad so she knew a few moves and was flexible well into her 30s.

When was the last time you ate at McDonald's? The last time I ate something from McDonald’s wassssss within the last month, I’m pretty sure. I had a box of McNuggets on my first week of internship. But I have not sat down at a McDonald’s to dine in for probably a couple of years now. I don’t tend to do that a lot.

Alright im adding addition into the kera Damien saga because i found some extra time lying around since i to my knowledge have to go into work a hour later then I thought.

Its set literally 30 minutes after the one pinned at the top of my page in purgatory hall.

"Are you going to put me down yet."

Kera said still slung over his shoulder. Having given up her wiggling and thrashing and now just lazingly laying over his shoulder.

"When I get to my new room ill let you down."

"You realize I couldve freed myself at any moment right?"

"Oh really now?"

"Yes but ive been being considerate but if you dont put me down soon i may just set your but on fire because this is starting to make my stomach sore."

"Kera is that you?"

She recgonized that young sounding voice anywhere.

"Damien you might want to put me down now."

"What why?"

Kera didnt exaclty see luke walk into the room but could tell imeadlty when he was there because she heard a shout.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH KERA! unhand her this moment you vile Demon!"

She heard a oof and damien grip on her lessened long enough for her to worm her way off his shoulder.

"What the heck was that for!"

"Thanks luke high five!"

"Kera....." he said with a slight hurt puppy dog expression rubbing his knee.

"Hey look I told you to put me down mutiple times but you wouldnt listen."

"She heard a small chuckle then looked up to see Simeon had walked into the room."

"Whats going on here?"

"A strange demon was holding Kera Hostage!"

"Is that so?"

"Yeah!"

"Kera mind filling me in?"

"Luke isnt wrong. He is a strange demon that wassssss holding me hostage on his shoulder but Ive known this strange demon for a whille now. Hes a childhood friend."

"I thought the brothers where the first demons you meant though?"

"I thought that to but I can explain that later."

Damien so far just kind stood there not really knowing what to do. He was one minute having fun teasing kera and going to where he was going to be living for awhile. And now hes was just standing here awkardly with a throbbing knee watching Kera converse with what he was guessed was two of the other exchange students.

"So hes going to be staying here then?" Simeon said.

"Yep starting tomorrow hes going to be enrolled in school and hes going to be living here."

"I dont know if I him." Luke said tapping his fingers together.

"Aw luke give him a chance you may start to like him-"

"Well I dont know if i like you either humph!"

Kera proceeded to walk over to him and smacked him lightly on the arm.

"Damien hes a child."

"Tell that to my shin!"

"Youll be find tell you what ill get you some ice for it and you can regall me with the story of how you got here/found me in the first place." She said as she helped the slightly injured demon boy to the place hed be staying.

"Things might start getting more interesting around here." Simeon said under his breath.

Hi everyone! wassssss upppppp

So my name is Alessandro, I’m from Palermo, one of the most beautiful Italian cities (modestly), and currently I’m in Norway for an exchange year, and I will keep you updated with my adventures and thoughts and pictures and whatever. Hope any of you will give a fuck.

So this is my second month here, and although the first period was pretty hard, now I’d say I’m doing fine. One of the questions that people ask me the most lately is “Why did you choose to go on an exchange?”. Well, there are so many reasons why I did... First of all, I just want my life to be full of amazing adventures, and i wanted to start early with the one that will probably be one of the biggest experiences in my whole life. But I’m sure you’re wondering why I chose to come to Norway... at least that’s what everybody asks me. The answer is that I don’t really know why, I was just fascinated by northern European countries, and wanted to do something different rather than the more “mainstream” destinations. Also yes, I was kinda influenced by the Norwegian tv series Skam, and so I decided I wanted to see Norway from the inside, and not just as a tourist. 

Right now I live in a little town called Mogreina, about 50 minutes away from Oslo, the capital, and right outside a bigger one, Jessheim, which is where I go to school every day. School is nice - definitely not as intense and difficult as the Italian one. The structure is brand new (it’s been working for just two years now) and the “style” is closer to the American one rather than the one I’m used to. Indeed, you have some mandatory classes (Norwegian, Math, History and Gym), and then we can choose up to 5 facultative classes. I picked up International English (where you basically study some global phenomena like multiculturalism, globalization and stuff in English), Philosophy (since I studied it in Italy too), Psychology (which I actually really like, I think it’s really interesting and I always wanted to study it), and French. Also, you can choose which level of math you wanna study: there are three levels; the basic one, the middle one and the advanced one. But there are so many other classes you can pick, like sociology, law, chemistry, physics, etc...

A place I really love going to is Oslo. I usually take the train from a station really close to my place, and it doesn't take so long to get there. As you get out of the Sentralstasjon (the Oslo central station), you can see the magnificent and modern Opera House, made with white marble from Carrara and looking over the sea. 

Now it’s really more beautiful than how it looks in this picture, but I swear next time I’ll go to Oslo I’ll shoot some better pictures to post.

Although Oslo is not a really big city, it still feels like a capital, and every time I go there, I discover new places; I still have a lot of things to see. One of my favorite places in Oslo is a road along the sea, with several scaffolds where you can take a ferry to go to some museums (like the Viking ships museum) or to go on a fiord tour. Yes, the one in Oslo is a fiord! It’s really beautiful but it’s definitely not as spectacular as the ones on the west coast (yep seems like the west coast is the coolest wherever you go), like around Bergen, because the Oslo one is way older and so it’s been more corroded by the water. 

Same here, it’s really a looot more beautiful than it looks in this picture (you can only see the sea here) so yeah I promise I’ll shot some better pictures there. Also, from there or from the central station, you can walk through very nice streets, full of little shops, cafes and restaurants, and most of them are in the limited traffic zone! You can see the cathedral, which is not as big as other capital’s cathedrals, but it’s really nice though. Then you will meet the National Theatre, and in front of it a big and nice square, with so many green spaces and a beautiful fountain. And then, if you keep walking, you will finally arrive to the Royal Palace. 

Same here, I’ll shot some better pictures. By the way, as you can see, it’s really humble and modest to be a Royal Family. It was built in the first half of the 19th century and it’s definitely not as gorgeous and rich as Buckingham Palace. The Norwegian Royal family is indeed particularly known for their modesty. There are some guards around the palace, and you can even shot a delphine with them. I won’t post mine ‘cause my face is really horrible in that but I will ask for another one! Behind the Royal Palace, there is a beautiful park where everyone can enter. 

Last place I’m gonna tell you about, is a magnificent monumental park, Vigeland Park, that I visited last weekend. It’s really big and beautiful, and it’s full of many different sculptures created by Gustav Vigeland in the first half of the 20th century. 

I swear that in my next posts I will talk about these places better, and post better pictures, and make you discover many other places around Oslo.

Finally, two other questions that people ask me the most are “Is it true that Norway is more expensive? And that people are colder?” Well, yes, and yes. But don’t expect something terrible. Of course there are some things that are more expensive here, but there are a lot of things with the same prices as in the rest of Europe, sometimes (rarely) even cheaper. The things that cost more are usually souvenirs and tourists stuff (ugh I love them) and some kinds of food, like candies or some Italian food (ugh I love them pt. 2). But yeah you can survive here, definitely. Also the average salary is higher so yeah, Norwegian people don’t struggle to get over the month at all. Also yeah, people are colder here, but probably not in the way you think. When I arrived, everybody was so nice and welcoming to me, I wasn’t expecting that, but they were really great. You start feeling people are a little bit colder when you try to make some new friendships, something that goes over saying “hi” or just talking at school. And yeah this is harder. It’s more difficult to have real and strong friendships here, but I would say it just takes longer. Luckily I have a lot of other exchange students in my same situation that I can hang out with!

By the way, this was my first post, and I hope you guys (if anybody will ever read these last lines) found it interesting or nice or something and not boring to death like I honestly think it is. But yeah let’s just post it, who cares.

lol heres my Way too serious and thought out timeline+headcanons for doyle bc i figure if i can make these kinds of things for my ocs that are only like 2 days old imagine what kind of post i can make for a guy ive thought about every day of my life since i was 9;;;;;;;;;

so first off, a lot of these are projections from Some kind of personal thing unless otherwise specified so not only do you Not have to agree with them but some of them are gonna be oddly specific and may even seem kind of unfitting/ooc or w/e and its just bc maladaptive daydreaming is fuckt up but also the show only has 36 episodes and hes not even in all of them so i dont have a Ton to analyze :’) anywyas here u go;

TIMELINE:

after the accident in the himalayas he went to an orphanage but did end up having 2 official foster homes. there were a few people at the orphanage he got attached to (the carertakers, and eric), but was overall yearning for a real family

home 1 was thrown together quick fix (when he was about 6-8) and it wassssss okay but his parents were drug addicts and money was spent in the wrong places, leading to a big struggle with food, rent, etc. and they lived in an area that was kind of overall impoverished so streets were dangerous and the water wasnt very clean (leading to the comments about not trusting tap water in where lies the engulfer), but since it was his first ‘family’ it left a big imprint on him and when he was finally taken away bc of the financial neglect it really fucked him up and made him kind of resentful towards the foster system, he felt they were doing their best and wanted it to work and was too young to understand why it happened. it took him a while to even attempt to trust adults after that

he spent a few years back at the orphanage, with a lot of behavioral problems stirring up causing the relationships he had with his carers to be strained

the second home (from 13-16) was much worse with emotional+physical violence and gaslighting, he had a foster sister (mika) but she was kind of emotionally distant and had an “every man for himself” viewpoint on the situation. they did grow closer over the years and eventually decided to run away together

mika went off to do her own thing within months (which doyle Did Not Expe ct) so he drifted around for a while and made a lot of (bad) friends

tried to like get a normal job and live in an apartment and shit but the financial struggle and mental illness(TM) kept getting to him 

got into criminal shit when he was 19 [danny phantom voice] yo doyle blackwell he was just 19 and started working for van rook when he was 25 (my hc age for him at the beginning of the series bc God what are timelines)

now that all the angsty backstory is out of the way heres the modern hc shit;

pan as fuck and not ashamed of it like in the words of game grumps; Whos dick do i gotta suck to suck a dick around here

has bipolar I and bpd 

his moods usually present as going from doing whatever and not caring what anyone thinks (manic) to feeling very burdening and wanting to distance himself (depressive)

as seen when all the abbey shit goes down, he likes to bottle emotions and hide from problems. he will occasionally open up to drew but like. only in the form of a human nihilism meme aka he has to joke about it first

sometime after abbey and before the finale he meets eric again. doyles still pretty raw so he catches up with him and kinda reaches out and. eventually they start dating post finale when all the kur shit is done with 

he also sees mika around again bc she takes on informant work involving cryptids and its. very awkward bc nobody is ready to talk it out. she may (MAY) offer a helping hand during the kur stuff but would still try to keep a lot of distance 

anyways he rly likes to hang out with drew and eric (he can tolerate if docs there too but he thinks hes a buzzkill lol) late at night when zak+the cryptids are asleep, especially if theres alcohol or even some 🍁 weed 🍁 involved, it usually stays chill family fun but if its just doyle and drew it can quickly turn into a 2 person party bc of their combined impulsiveness lmao 

hes got a light dusting of freckles on his cheeks and like 1 around his mouth/lip too (example; x) and self harm scars on his arms and legs

he is a heavy sleeper and its his 1 weakness. if u wanna get him get him while hes asleep lmao

his sense of humor is very reminiscent of christine sydelko or david dobrik like. a boring friday night? someones getting their chest waxed or holding a tarantula or getting taped to a wall like theres no limit on fun(TM) its 100% extra at all times

he listens to avril lavigne this is the most realistic one i ddotn give a SHIt

12/20 Epic moments

Okay guys this one was pretty hard to pick, one piece it’s epic itself already, the ones above are the most epic moments to me of course, i wanted to add more but there’s a limit that’s why I’m going to be writing below the others~🙆🏻

Zoro’s sacrifice: I think are ALL agree that was the most epic moment in all one piece. “N..Nothing has happened..” // He earned everyone’s respect here. He demonstrated how much he cares for his captain. Like he was willing to die and give up about his dream in order to protect Luffy’s life and dream. Even if Luffy isn’t aware of this sacrifice, i bet that’s how he thinks about zoro too, someone who would protect him and his dream no matter what. I love Zoro so much ಥ_ಥ

Shanks stops the war: First, i have to mention about Coby, he was really brave here. He stood in front of Akainu stoping him from fighting telling him how wrong the marine was. IF THAT ISNT HAVING BALLS IDK WHATS THAT.

So, Shanks. GUYS REALLY? HONESTLY?? He put one foot in the damn war and said it was over. IT WAS OVER. That was crazy. We are talking about a man who doesn’t posses any devil fruit, just have one arm and a sword. He stopped Akainu’s fit with one damn sword. Around 25 devil users and Haki users were in the war and THAT MAN FUCKING STOPPED IT WHAT THE FUCK THAT WAS SO EPIC.

Luffy falls from the sky: IF YOU SAW THAT, YOU KNOW IT WAS FANTASTICEPICAWESOME. He faced the tree admirals without giving a fuck about how strong they are. He knew he was there to save Ace. And like that was the MOST EPIC ENTRANCE I HAVE EVER SEEN.

Luffy after 2 years TS: You can’t tell me you did not scream when you saw this fantastic scene. Like can we just remember how he lost everything in that island 2 years ago? But he decided he had some people to live for yet, and you know what he did? He postponed his dream and trained. That man was crying over his friends 2 years ago in the same island, but what was he doing there? He told a pacifist he was too slow. SAVAGE. THAT WAS EPIC.

Whitebeard in Marineford: In general, he was epic. His last name was epic. Honestly, that man was a great character. “ Even in death, his body did not fall. His figure, taking down enemies while losing half of his head, was truly monstrous. The total number of sword wounds he received in this battle was 267. He was shot by 152 bullets and was hit by 46 cannonballs. And despite all this, his proud back, over the course of his entire life as a pirate, never received a single scar from running away! ” And the speech about One piece was.. OH GOD I CANT REALLY DECIDE ABOUT THIS. THAT WAS ONE OF THE MOSSSST EPIC MOMENTS IN THE WHOLE SERIES.

Luffy punches a Tenryubito: In One piece world it’s prohibited to hurt/punch a Tenryubito since they are wolds nobles, celestial dragons and all that you want BUT IF YOU MESS WITH LUFFYS PARTNERS YOURE PRETTY MUCH FUCKED LOL. Like it was so epic the animation couldn’t hold the punch.

Film Z: The whole movie was epic. I loved it so much. Specially Luffy and Sanji’s fight. I honestly love so much Diable Jambe. LIKE THANKS ODA FOR GIVING SANJI THAT ABILITY BECAUSE SO COOL. And Luffy’s Haki was really awesome and ooooh his fight against Zephry was REEEEEEEALLY FANTASTIC. It’s my favorite fight in all one piece even if it was a movie (◕‿◕✿)

Arlong Vs Luffy: There’s not an actual order for this, I just choose my favorite moments here, I believe all of them were epic and from the east blue, I gotta say I loved this. Lunamifangirl no but really, like it was AWESOME. Luffy walking so normally asking for Arlong and all of sudden jumps and gives him this hugeeeeeeeee punch in the damn face. DONT MAKE OUR NAVIGATOR CRY YOU DAMN FISH

Straw hats declare war: SOGEKING WAS MY SOUL. Straw hats declaring war to the government by burning the damn flag and claiming they would take Robin to the sea was so damn epic too. LIKE HEHEHEHE YOU AINT TAKING OUR ARCHEOLOGIST BITCH.

Wait for us, Usopp: Luffy, Sanji, Zoro and Chopper mad after seeing Usopp beaten and lying in the floor. Like you know shit it’s about to go down when Luffy’s black pupila turns white, when Zoro puts on his black bandanna, Sanji turns off his cigarette and well CHOPPER IS ANGRY.

Gear fourth: Thought I would forget about the bounce maaan?? Well, no. His first appearance wassssss really epic and well he kicked Doffy’s asssss. We all saw that awesomeness there’s not much to talk about it ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I’m 101% sure I’m forgetting more epic moments tho, they just don’t come to my mind atm, like I said One piece it’s epic itself so~

An Old Friend

I can still remember the first time we saw him, after.

It had been a dark blur, moving through the storm. It wasn't until lightning cracked, that we saw the shape of wings, careening down from the sky straight for us. 

Cacophony was the quickest to react. "No closer!" she shouted at him, raising her hand. A wall of hard light rose up in front of us. The whirl being hissed, unable to stop, crashing full force into the light. He staggered back and raised his arms up, shielding himself from the light. It was then that I saw the glimmer of starlight, deep in the shadows that swirled around him.

It was Pollux who spoke first, stepping carelessly close to the edge of Cacophony's wall. "Castor." He opened his mouth, looking lost. An advocate without a single word to say.

"Ahhhhh, well. If it isn't my twinnnnn." Castor's voice was almost a hiss, his lips curled into a tight grin. His eyes did not show any sign of his smile. I saw his fists tighten. He was gripping a pair of swords as dark as the night sky. "Sssstill letting the Bright ussse you? Ssssad." He stepped no closer, repelled by Cacophony's magic.

It was our human, Rebecca, who spoke up in answer. The teenager put her hands on her hips. "Twin? Who IS this guy?" "Castor fought for the Bright, once. Before the Twin Troubles took him." I explain, watching Pollux. Normally, he's the one to let me know when I can draw my blade and charge into a fight.

He's still just... staring.

"Almosssst correct." Castor spreads his wings, hovering slightly to look down on our team. "Capella, as alwaysssss, has forgotten what matters most. I wasn't taken. I wassssss..... willing."

I hear Sirius growl next to me, his fur bristling. I look at the smug smirk on Castor's face, and it is more than I can bear.

"TRAITOR!" The word bursts from my lips seemingly of its own volition as I leap out in front of Cacophony's barrier, sword held high. The fiend sidesteps, but raises his own blades to mine. The first I am able to parry, but the second strikes at my unguarded arm. I call up spark, and the wound is only glancing.

"Look. Sssseee how easy it is. You hate me, don't you? You alwaysssss did. And if I'm so bad.... How bad musssst my twin be?"

"Shut UP, WHIRL SCUM." I slash, once, twice, three times. Castor and I sparred so many times, before. The movements are familiar, comfortable. But back then, fights had ended in a laugh, in helping each other up off the ground.

Shadows hadn't danced around him, shielding him from my blows, then.

"No." The voice, quiet, makes both Castor and I turn. Pollux is standing out in front of Cacophony's shield, his eyes glowing. The stars in his skin are so bright it almost hurts even my eyes. "This is WRONG."

Rebecca looks from Pollux to me, concern and confusion clear on her face. "....is he okay?" I realize that this human has never seen this happen before. My heart sinks. This could go poorly. I open my mouth to answer, only to be interrupted.

"Of courssse he isn't. He doessssn't want to fight his brother. But here I am. And I'm ssssscary. So my coward brother has chosen Nova over facing me on hissss own." Castor steps away from me, towards his brother.

"He's not on his own, creep!" I turn, having entirely forgotten about Cacophony. She is drawing magical energy into her hands. She hurls a bolt at Castor. He stumbles a half-step backwards, and then turns on the turncode, sword at the ready. In an instant, Sirius is at Cacophony's side, and with a leap his fangs close around Castor's sword arm.

For a moment, it strikes me as odd- Castor was always a good fighter, but never good enough to fight this many at once. I'm about to raise my sword and join the fray when I hear Pollux. His voice is booming, almost deafening.

"I'M CALLING A TIME OUT!" I feel my sword drop to my side, the will to raise it lost. I see Castor, Cacophony, and Sirius similarly pause. Even Rebecca seems halted, even though she hadn't joined the fight.

"YOU LEFT. WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE." I look at Pollux's face. It is contorted, a dark scowl, the picture of rage and fury even as tears stream freely from his eyes. He steps towards Castor, light and shadow meeting and clashing.

"Pollux, what are you doing?" Rebecca is trying to move, but Pollux's magic, charged with the force of his Nova, makes it like trying to swim through syrup. Castor takes a step forward, clearly exerting great effort to do so. At this point, he and Pollux are so close that the shadows around Castor are beginning to be burned away, revealing dark red nebulas dancing across his face. Beneath the shadows, he looks exactly how he used to. I see Pollux falter, for the faintest second. I can see Castor notice it, too.

"It's sssstill me. I'm your brother, Lux. Even if the Bright would have everyone forget that... Even if Capella over there would sssstrike me down without a second thought..... would you?"

I want to scream, to remind Pollux that Castor chose to leave the Bright, to do something, ANYTHING, but it is almost as if an unseen force is choking me, restraining me.

Castor extends his arms, offering an embrace. I see the glow fade from Pollux, as he hesitates, then hugs his brother tightly.

The laughter that came next, as shadows enveloped them both, still echoes in my mind in quiet moments. I'm not really sure what happened next. Cacophony and Rebecca say I went Nova, that I went on a rage against every fiend of the twin troubles I could find for the next few months.

But before I lost all reason, I know what I saw.

Pollux tried to reach for me, in that moment before the shadows swallowed him up. And I couldn't save him.
