What is kinlife like? Is it kinda like DID?

Alright, so to preface, I'm not the best at wording experiences and feelings, especially ones that I've been having for most, if not all, of my life.

Now, first and foremost in actual talk about it, being otherkin/fictionkin is not the same as or even all that similar to DID. I am very much a singlet and no amount of kintypes I discover will change that.

The main definition of otherkin is the belief that you are partly or wholly (non-physically) inhuman. Fictionkin is the same but with fictional characters. It's (in my experience) mostly a spiritual belief, but it can also be psychological as well.

For me its fully a spiritual thing. I believe I was these characters and such in past lives. The thing separating the kintypes from regular past lives is the effect it has to my daily life. Proper kintypes for me will never fade or be dropped, because they're just who I once was.

Fictionkin lives tend to be what gets called canon divergent very often, meaning events play out somewhat or waaaay differently than in canon. Some it's hard to tell though. (Like my Pikmin kintypes. How would I know if those were canon compliant or not?)

During some shifts, a stronger connection to the kintype than usual, it can cause minor changes in how you react to things or feel towards stuff (in my experience) but it's really not big enough to make a big deal on.

It can be fun sometimes, but mostly it's just an extra explanation as to why I react to certain things in certain ways.

I uhh.... hope this helps or makes sense or is at least an interesting read? Like I said I'm not always good at this and IDK what all to say ajfioejwaoe
