lol heres my Way too serious and thought out timeline+headcanons for doyle bc i figure if i can make these kinds of things for my ocs that are only like 2 days old imagine what kind of post i can make for a guy ive thought about every day of my life since i was 9;;;;;;;;;
so first off, a lot of these are projections from Some kind of personal thing unless otherwise specified so not only do you Not have to agree with them but some of them are gonna be oddly specific and may even seem kind of unfitting/ooc or w/e and its just bc maladaptive daydreaming is fuckt up but also the show only has 36 episodes and hes not even in all of them so i dont have a Ton to analyze :’) anywyas here u go;
TIMELINE:
after the accident in the himalayas he went to an orphanage but did end up having 2 official foster homes. there were a few people at the orphanage he got attached to (the carertakers, and eric), but was overall yearning for a real family
home 1 was thrown together quick fix (when he was about 6-8) and it wassssss okay but his parents were drug addicts and money was spent in the wrong places, leading to a big struggle with food, rent, etc. and they lived in an area that was kind of overall impoverished so streets were dangerous and the water wasnt very clean (leading to the comments about not trusting tap water in where lies the engulfer), but since it was his first ‘family’ it left a big imprint on him and when he was finally taken away bc of the financial neglect it really fucked him up and made him kind of resentful towards the foster system, he felt they were doing their best and wanted it to work and was too young to understand why it happened. it took him a while to even attempt to trust adults after that
he spent a few years back at the orphanage, with a lot of behavioral problems stirring up causing the relationships he had with his carers to be strained
the second home (from 13-16) was much worse with emotional+physical violence and gaslighting, he had a foster sister (mika) but she was kind of emotionally distant and had an “every man for himself” viewpoint on the situation. they did grow closer over the years and eventually decided to run away together
mika went off to do her own thing within months (which doyle Did Not Expe ct) so he drifted around for a while and made a lot of (bad) friends
tried to like get a normal job and live in an apartment and shit but the financial struggle and mental illness(TM) kept getting to him
got into criminal shit when he was 19 [danny phantom voice] yo doyle blackwell he was just 19 and started working for van rook when he was 25 (my hc age for him at the beginning of the series bc God what are timelines)
now that all the angsty backstory is out of the way heres the modern hc shit;
pan as fuck and not ashamed of it like in the words of game grumps; Whos dick do i gotta suck to suck a dick around here

his moods usually present as going from doing whatever and not caring what anyone thinks (manic) to feeling very burdening and wanting to distance himself (depressive)
as seen when all the abbey shit goes down, he likes to bottle emotions and hide from problems. he will occasionally open up to drew but like. only in the form of a human nihilism meme aka he has to joke about it first
sometime after abbey and before the finale he meets eric again. doyles still pretty raw so he catches up with him and kinda reaches out and. eventually they start dating post finale when all the kur shit is done with
he also sees mika around again bc she takes on informant work involving cryptids and its. very awkward bc nobody is ready to talk it out. she may (MAY) offer a helping hand during the kur stuff but would still try to keep a lot of distance
anyways he rly likes to hang out with drew and eric (he can tolerate if docs there too but he thinks hes a buzzkill lol) late at night when zak+the cryptids are asleep, especially if theres alcohol or even some 🍁 weed 🍁 involved, it usually stays chill family fun but if its just doyle and drew it can quickly turn into a 2 person party bc of their combined impulsiveness lmao
hes got a light dusting of freckles on his cheeks and like 1 around his mouth/lip too (example; x) and self harm scars on his arms and legs
he is a heavy sleeper and its his 1 weakness. if u wanna get him get him while hes asleep lmao

so how will ben and evie's friendship be after what happened recently? you did say they became closer after ben's character shift in y6, after all (doing questionable stuff to keep those they love safe, which is #relatable) and now... though if you have decided to ignore the recent events, that's understandable too!! ok this just follows the game canon but i dont see it as canon xDD but......their friendship is. not good after the incident. evie was always friends with ben from the beginning, but while they were close, he was never quite as close as rowan was with evie. they did grow closer after ben’s character shifts and his goals and ideals resonate with evie’s, but in reality, it’s really because rowan and evie drifted apart, mostly on evie’s part, she distanced herself on purpose, and evie had little to no choice but to rely on ben. ben felt the same way, he relied on evie to back him up when it seemed like the whole world was against him, and they found solidarity in that. they were close, and mostly enabled each other’s... questionable behaviors, and rowan was always against it, because she cared and didnt want to see anyone hurt, but evie and ben thought their way of doing things was best, so both really only had each other to understand.
because of how close they were at the time, it just made what happened after terrible. evie immediately severs their friendship, doing a complete switch from being close friends one minute, then cutting ben off the next. she trusted ben to keep everyone safe and she viewed rowan sacrificing herself for him as breaking that promise. ngl she definitely reacted irrationally and used ben as a scapegoat, blaming him for what happened to rowan. going as far as to threaten him
yeah its bad. it takes evie forever to calm down, and even then ben and evie’s friendship is strained and evie only tolerates him. not to say ben tolerates that, he does repeatedly call her out on her behavior and the fact that rowan most likely leapt into the situation for her and not him, and how evie deliberately distanced herself from rowan, causing her to become concerned and lead to her following them into the forest in the first place. their friendship just dissolves despite ben’s best efforts to fix things, but both are honestly too caught up in their feelings of guilt and anger to really make any progress in fixing whatever is left in their friendship. ben eventually views evie as a lost cause as nothing he says can change her mind about him, and decides to leave it the way it is, overcome with bitterness and guilt.
they just become polite strangers after some time, but never really close at all again

ok so the breakup marinates for a month. what if what triggers them to reconcile (and never to break up ever again) is when jock!jk comes over oc’s place to pick up something of his that has something to do with lacrosse.
like yes a lot of his stuff is pretty much everywhere at her place (and vice versa), but both of them have been putting off doing something about it bc they both are still unsure where they stand after the breakup, u kno (despite the fact that they’re both still madly in love with each other but ofc they’re both too dumb to realize it hence the breakup in the first place)??? like, do they go back to being best friends or not?? so they’re in this breakup-limbo but all of that ends when jock!jk realizes hes left part of his lacrosse gear (idk what it might be cuz i know nothing about lacrosse lmaoo) at her place!!
so he has no choice but to go and pick it up!! and that’s when they reconcile!! him being in her private space makes him realize that!!! her seeing him in her private space makes her realize that!! cue an angsty fight that ends in them with tears streaming down both their faces making each other realize that they are IN LOVE WITH EACH OTHER AND THEYRE EACH OTHER’S ‘IT’s!!!!!! THEN HAPPILY EVER AFTER YEAY

I’ve sent a suggestion ask about this—the one where Jungkook comes over oc’s place to grab a thing of his that relates to lacrosse. The reasons are because:
1) it’s an intimate and private setting—surrounded by no one but the walls of oc’s most private space
2) as we all know, their lives have always been so intertwined with one another even before they got together as a couple that they’ve left millions pieces of themselves in the form of worldly possessions at each other’s places, so it’s a given that we all wonder the same thing: what do they do with their stuff after the ~breakup~? Therefore, it’s a perfect opportunity to take advantage of this situation as a means to make them reconcile.
3) you can also circle this back to what jk said about oc: “she never says what she means”. But when jk stands there in the middle of her bedroom, finally seeing with ‘fresh’ eyes how she has one of her drawers neatly chock FULL of ‘extra’ stuff for him like tape (?) for his legs… just, things that regular people don’t even do for their own best friends (I certainly don’t do this for mine). and the fact that oc STILL HASNT PACKED ALL OF HIS STUFF INTO A BOX. Like, everything of his is STILL lovingly stashed where they’ve always belonged. And that’s when Jungkook realizes that this… this is what she ‘doesn’t’ say.
And so suddenly Jungkook also gets bombarded with the memories of him lying in her bed on his side watching her lovingly stocking ‘his’ drawer with his favorite stuff (can’t think of an example at the moment) and with a couple rolls of physio tape just so he’s got extra ready and waiting for him at her place. Watching her lovingly stuffing his gym bag with HER pink lunch box for him to eat at practice. Watching her making room for his clothes in HER closet and lovingly hanging the freshly washed ones there. Best friends don’t do that for each other. And that’s how Jungkook realizes that he’s made the biggest mistake of his life and proceeds to grovel to win her back. Right there, in her room. Where his stuff and hers is scattered around.

im now realizing this story is so fricking convoluted for no good reason - thats why i wont ever actually write it lmao!! anyways so plot. tw: stalking, emotional abuse, drama, some fighting, namjin is a thing in this,
reader and cute soccerplayer!jungkook go to the school dances together and are vibing and being all puppy love. you're not used to things being so not-toxic but its good for you. healthy. you have your firsts. its cute.
until jimin finds out. our borderline yandere king finds out via hobi (jimin doesnt go to ur school bc he's rich rich, hobi/yoongi do) and is waiting at ur car at night after a game to confront you except little does he know ur cute jock boyfriend was walking you to your car and sees you. he doesnt really know who jimin is or what the deal is (allegedly) but when jimin starts to make your feel very nervous and scared jungkook steps in to defend you.
and then bc theres a lot of noise, taehyung also shows up (he's on the soccer team also he helped u get with jungkook). and he knows about jimin. and he is MAD. and punches jimin. twice. king shit. anyway jimin says some triggering stuff so ur a mess. taehyung drives you home
meanwhile namjoon invites you over bc he hasnt seen u in a while. while your there you run into hobi and youre like bro wtf whyd u snitch and he's angsty and doesnt really tell you but he feels super guilty. anyway namjoon is an icon living. he takes you shopping, hes super fun. when he drops you home he meets jin. stay at home mom jin (im kidding). enter sexual tension. namjoon tries to flirt but jin isnt really vibing. something is up jin's ass these days.
its almost the holidays so you invite namjoon over to spend christmas with you and jin. jin and namjoon end up hooking up. they talk about you - they both really care about you and worry about you bc of your past but also because of who your mother is (cartel leader). you focus on your sweet boyfriend jjk, try to forget jimin, and convince jin to let you go on a new years trip with him, taehyung and your other girl friend to a beach resort. namjoon convinces him its fine so he says yes.
the new years trip is DRAMA. but to understand this, let me talk about kim taehyung. taehyung also has toxic relationship history (yummy). he was super into this one girl (the queen of the hs, you kno how it be) who played him like a ken doll. and he cant shake her, it consumes him, he's angst 3000 when it comes to her. anyways turns out she's there. he knew she'd be there and thats why he recommended they come to this place. you figure this out and yell at him bc ur his friend. he gets super moody and not fun. then he goes and fucks your other friend out of spite. only to abadon her the next morning (ur friend liked him so shes super sad about it). you and taehyung had a SHOWDOWN. you question his character and break off your friendship. ultimately, you leave the trip and head home.
your mother is there. you hate your mom. its not the vibes and you're overwhelmed with negative emotions. jin is sorta unhelpful when it comes to ur mom just bc he owes her bc shes like paying for his college and whatnot. the only people who would understand are taehyung
and hobi. so you turn to hobi, tho you should be mad at him, you def dont wanna talk to taehyung. you and hobi meet up, get drunk, hook up.

Im not a super smart or super well-researched person, but sometimes i enjoy sitting down and Thinking about scooby doo.
Im not totally sure why, but Scooby was one of my favorite tv programs up into my teens. And every once in a while ill see something about what a grungy scooby reboot or "more realistic" scooby franchise would look like a la that one supernatural episode or the new powerpuff girls reboot et cetra. And im not sure why, but its always urked me that daphne, fred and velma are constantly framed as not Believing in monsters, esp. Velma. Like thats how theyve been framed in the show right from the start, so ive never been sure Why it bothered me. But i think i might have figured it out whilst i was thinking of the lach ness movie the other day.
Again. I didnt go back and watch or reread the movie transcript, at all. this is all based on my spotty 15 year old memories, so im not sure Any of it is 100% accurate but bare with me, here.
See, one of the things that Makes scooby doo is that As often as not, there Is a mythical creature in the show. For instance. In the lach ness movie. They catch the lach ness and its a robot, but then near the end we, the audience, get to See Nessy Watching all this go down. Scooby doo has never been especially anti-supernatural, its a kids show after all- they dont want to Kill the magic. And then it occurred to me. Of Course Everyone in the gang believes in the supernatural. The Main Character Of The Show is A Talking Dog. Sure every angsty bitch and their mom has had the thought that scooby doesnt Actually talk or only shaggy can hear him because ~*Drugs*~. But if we focus on just the original show, even If the monster ends up being a person Every Episode, Of Course not single member in the gang Wholly denies the possibility of the supernatural- They Travel The World Solving Mysteries with the help of a Talking Dog!!!
So even if, every episode, Velma says "theres no such thing as ghosts" she can still be So incredibly non-plussed by the concept of Real Magic because she Works with a Talking Dog!!!
Like daphne, freddy and velma all obviously have a healthy dose of scepticism because theyre the foils and the straight men of the show and also because they Solve Mysteries for a living, but even when theyre proven wrong in, like, Every Other Movie, and they discover Real Magic, theyre never incredibly overwhelmed by it because!!! Duh! Just because Theyre in the business of Unmasking Fakers, they still live in a world with talking dogs, of course its not beyond the realm of possibility to run into the Actual Supernatural.
Anyway this has been a long and repetitive way of me once again saying Fuck You to everyone involved in the script of the supernatural scooby doo episode. The kids are not fucking stupid and they deal with real magic every other movie, theyre not gonna have a brain hemorage over your incredibly unexceptional mayonaise men 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

(1of4) Ok so kind of kink hour, kind of angsty, but do u think its possible 2 b, like, dysphoric but in a kink way? Like Ive got a kink of the lifestyle variety (nervous to specify what it is), that Ive had nearly my whole life, & I literally dont kno how 2 explain this feeling besides as social/physical dysphoria, but 4 kink stuff. Like all I can think of is that post that went around awhile back talking abt the difference between 'Identifying as a dinosaur' as a kid vs 'Pretending 2 b a
(2of4) dinosaur', & how I read that & was immediately struck by how much the 'Identifying as a dinosaur' description was spot on 4 my experiences wrt this kink. But I feel rly hopeless abt it a lot of the time. I kno trauma is a factor, but that doesnt make it better, & I would rather keep the trauma than b untraumatized & not have this kink. & it just feels rly crushing 2 b like, theres this way I feel, this way it feels like Im Supposed 2 B, & this overwhelming fear that Im Not. & I cant quite

Idk, Im just hoping 4 sum hope, I guess? Feelin fragile n stuff & ur so nice abt kinks. Also sorry 4 so many abbreviations lol, character limit is not my friend.
Dysphoria can be over anything, the definition is just “ a state of unease or generalized dissatisfaction with life” so it can absolutely be in a kink way. (in fact I’d say I have dysphoria in a kink way in the sense that it severely negatively impacts me that I can’t practice most my kinks in my current situation)
I think a lot of people don’t realise just how much kink can be part of someone’s identity, but it absolutely can be very central, so it makes perfect sense that not being able to be open with it or explore it or whatever will contribute to negative feelings that are analogous to social and physical dysphoria.
I do wish the world were more accepting of kink as identity, it would allow far more space for people to just have feelings like urs without the shame. I really don’t think feelings like these are particularly unusual either, but talking about it can be a minefield.
Also honestly in my experience at least, getting better doesn’t mean losing kinks, even when they’re related. I think it absolutely can affect how u think about and approach a kink, I’ve noticed my approach to kink has become more positive and healthy the more I’ve dealt with my trauma, but I’ve not lost them. I don’t think that just throwing the whole kink out will actually resolve anything, that way lies further shame and repression. You can’t just turn a kink off. It will still be there. Better to work on how you can exist as you are comfortably than deny any part of you. Ultimately, what do you think your life would look like if you were truly comfortable? How can you get there? When it comes to your own identity and how your kinks interact with that, your own comfort is the only thing that matters.

hrrmm wow i will have to think. ill probs just check my bookmarks which means i probably wont be able to think of many one chapter fics off the top of my head since i dont tend to bookmark them. also some that havent been updated in yrs i wont put here bcaus thats just frustrating unless theyre rlly notable and may come back i may not link them
also disclaimer that while im not super into smut so its unlikely im gonna recommend just porn fics, some may have some sexy times incidentally i suppose. also a lot of them are dave centric/dave POV bcaus hes my BOY
M.C. Escher that’s my favourite MC by Unda (COMPLETE) is a wild ride and long but i recommend for sure, very well written n thought out. also check out the other fics in the series bcaus if i recall correctly there are some other shorter fics that unda wrote to give some background or develop characters. but theyre also really great even stand-alone! its finished now and i followed it the whole time :0. cw for child abuse and death

Doc Scratch’s School for Supernaturally Gifted Adolescents by medical (UNFINISHED AND RECENTLY UPDATED)is great, its like a multichapter magic/superhero au thing. its fun and characters in it are rlly well developed, like, i do enjoy a davekat fic which has a good and significant rose characterisation in there too. but theres some serious plot goin in in here too…. very exciting.
To Be Taken Care Of by shitstuck (COMPLETE)is good, its god some deep convos about troll v human culture and stuff, some rosemary too. bit of body horror but if i can handle it its not too bad. i just reread it lol. the epilogue changes the tone of things a bit n id be interested to know other peoples thoughts on that ;_;

The Eurydice Suite by callmearcturus (COMPLETE) !!!!!!!!!!! i love this fic so much like its bonkers n i just. its like an inception sort of inspired au and i have NEVER watched inception but im just super into the concept. its just. a rlly amazing well written fic w perfect pacing and characterisation like the plot is like a beautiful spider web where time flicks back and forth yet makes perfect sense. theres such a sense of atmosphere. ive reread it so many times. also!!1111111 i love the dave in it, and i love the strilondes family relationsy stuff!! i also feel like it ties everything up rlly nicely despite having like all the main characters in it p much. hell yeaaaa. its my fav by this author whos an AMAZING writer like they just DROP U IN to the world with so much confidence and drop context and background in at a perfect pace so ur never confused but always intrigued. but often i find the atmosphere in their fics almost TOO intense u know?? like i feel like i wake up in a ditch after reading one like wh,,h who am i?? i hate using this word but the writing is weirdly like… “sensual” which i think means the writing is great, rlly strong atmosphere but im not always 100% able to handle it. this one does not make me feel so dazed and its just.. yess

what I imagine going down next season (as a result of everything that happened in sesson 3) warning for discussion of suicide/self-harm:
SHINY
-ok since the whole sex subplot was never really resolved (they SAID they talked but we didnt see shit so) I think this would be a good time to introduce ace!Shay. Now another part of me would also like for shiny to have sex just so esme could stop fucking with m'daughter's head but shay seemed way too opposed to the idea of sex in general (and not in a nervous way, but in a "why would I ever have sex?" kinda way). And maybe once Shay's comfortable with being ace she can just deck esme right in the nose idc idc idc she had it coming! Fuck a $230 skirt bih! Tiny would be weirded out and probably disappointed at first but bc he’s literally the perfect bf he'd come around eventually. Hopefully they could highlight that there are ways to be intimate in a relationship w/o having sex. I just want shiny happiness and for people (lola up until she apologized, esme) to stop going out of their way to make shay feel so insecure and then getting mad at her when she reacts to their bs.
-speaking of which as much as I hate to see her miserable I think shay needs an angsty storyline. She solves her problems so quickly and efficiently, we never even see the emotions she must be going through. i don’t think her being ace would cause her too much stress, she'd do her research for a bit, have a fight with tiny about it (maybe even suggest to keep the relationship open, which would offend tiny) but other than that the real source of angst would come from esme. lets say esme finds out, y’all already know she would never let shay hear the end of it. that, on top of esme being EVERYWHERE and the two of them competing to be both the smartest and most athletic girl in school, would probably really get to shay's psyche. maybe esme goes too far one day, and shay just says fuck it and throws hands?? or maybe she breaks her phone?? idk something rly impulsive bc shay doesn't normally make impulsive decisions. of course esme makes shay out to be the irrational one and shay tries to quit the track team, her grades start slipping, etc etc. esme gets bored without having someone to compete against, or maybe she notices the change in shay's demeanor (and bc of maya’s suicide attempt and her mom) is afraid she pushed shay over the edge. they talk after class one day, esme still being bitchy but by the end a little teary eyed. I think their talk would be reminiscent of anya and holly j in season 8?? 9?? where anya was all like "why are you so mean to me" and hj's like "bc u let me bitch :)" so esme CLEARLY isn't gonna take any real responsibility for bullying shay but shay decides that shes NOT gonna be the bigger person for once. Idk how this would end but I definitely want shay to be more confident by the end, and for esme to learn when to stand down.
-Tiny's line about shay just seeing him as a "good nerd boy" rly stuck out to me. How much does shay know about tiny's past?? This definitely has to be brought up at some point, and I really thought the show would've mentioned that but w/e. Shay probably knows SOMETHING about the gang stuff but not how far it goes, or his family, etc. Tiny has an image that he keeps from everyone else but saves only for shay, which is adorable (they have boggle ((is that like scrabble???)) dates...need me a freak like that) but at some point shays gonna have to see the rest of him. Tiny is tired of shay assuming so much about his intentions too. That and shay not wanting sex period will (in my vision for s4) definitely be the biggest conflicts for shiny, but they'll work through them quickly bc unlike every other couple on this show they actually know how to communicate :)
-also how does tiny feel about the crash?? he looked all the way fucked up when they rushed him into the hospital so...he has to have some sorta trauma from that come on now
TRILES/MOLA
-this is gonna be messy lol. triles and mola are two very polarizing ships so we already kno theres gonna be some mess once tristans back at school. tristan may have been all "okay w/e idc" at the play but we all know once his petty ass is able to speak he's gonna go out of his way to make lolas life living hell. its truly gonna be slutshaming for days, and lets not forget the biphobia. he wont really direct any anger at miles, except tight-lipped quickly concealed bitterness. i can already picture these scenes yall like this is literally what is gonna happen WATCH.
-miles is of course gonna still feel guilty about the whole knocking her up thing, and he rly does love her and values her friendship (their friendship was so cute) so he's gonna want to keep hanging out with her (it’ll start off with just checking up on her every now and then like craig after manny’s abortion, but it’ll grow to miles getting an actual job at lola’s, etc). tristan will be okay with this on the surface but as soon as he and lola are alone (maybe tris is @ the hollingsworth household while lolas there for frankie or hell even miles and miles leaves to get some snacks or something) tristan just lays into her!! on some "you were NOTHING to him" shit. on some "you tried to trap him with a baby" shit!! some “he never loved you, just pitied you” shit!!!! and then tris is all back to smiles the second miles comes back. lola’s on the verge of tears but keeps this to herself cause she doesnt want to start drama so soon after tristan coming back and bc she loves miles too much etc etc. miles of course eventually finds out, and he and tris have the fight of the century where it ALL comes out.
-now I just read a list of PERFECT mola headcanons (by @beach-city-mystery-girl!) that should definitely happen throughout the season! idk if triles will stay together or if mola becomes official but at some point someones gonna be all "make. a. DECISION" at miles so!!
-lola should also find value in being alone and being comfortable with herself. she and yael become genuine friends (bc she needs someone outside of frankie and shay and miles) and form a weird almost symbiotic relationship where they give each other advice on things the other lacks. baaz flips between trying to flirt with her and making insensitive comments about her abortion. lola finally sets him straight for once and for all.
-maybe something goes down at the restaurant? idk I just started caring about lola’s existence yesterday idk how this goes
-I think frankie eventually finds out that miles and lola hooked up, idk how but she does and she’s not happy about it yikes.
-actually after just reading another great post (by tristanmiligay), a lot of tristan’s insecurities could also lie in the fact that he’s disabled now. maybe miles rly wants to get tris up on his feet again and do something FUN and EXCITING but homeboi literally just got out of a coma and can’t make it, so I can see miles asking lola to go instead (like maybe its a couples thing and he already reserved it or w/e) and that kinda sets tristan off the first time. he’ll probably try to force himself to heal faster, maybe even injuring himself further in the process? he’s gonna have a lot of self-doubt and internalized ableism like the post said :/, and all of that is gonna manifest in hate for lola.
ZASHA/GRONAH (is that what we're calling it??)
-okay so this section is kinda tied into the maya section and rly just centered around grace so yeah. but thats mainly bc there wont rly be any drama between zasha (except like normal preparing for college type stuff, like zoe wants to go to some rly good school far away and rasha wants to stay in toronto bc she just got there).
-zoe's pretending to be fine with getting kicked out but its absolutely destroying her on the inside. she and her mom were so close despite everything. zoe starts going thru mad identity issues bc everything about her was sculpted by her mom. if shes not in her life anymore then who is she? she keeps replaying "i love you despite who you are" in her head and its killing her. she sometimes sneaks out of grace's room at night and leaves voice messages on her moms phone (which ms. Rivas never responds to) and ends every night crying on the couch. grace grows super concerned for her but has no idea how to balance both helping maya out and helping zoe. one day at school grace tries to confront zoe about the voicemails but zoe brushes it off and says something cute like "being with rasha makes it all worth it" but grace is still like 👀.
-grace then moves on to trying to help maya but maya is sick and tired of everyone walking on eggshells around her and she tells grace shes fine and that she needs to back off, but grace knows somethings still off. later that day she spots zoe in the student council office trying to call her mom and leaving an angry voicemail, ripping mama rivas to shreds!! "you were never a good mother, a mother who cant love her own daughter shouldnt even be having kids, i hate you, go to hell" type of shit. at the last minute she realizes she doesnt mean half of that (or she does mean it but that scares her) and tries to backtrack but by then the voicemail's already been sent. zoe starts freaking out and crying again and leaves another one like "im sorry I didnt mean any of that please just let me come back. Im sorry, im sorry, im sorry" like just saying sorry over and over again, and grace finally steps in like "sorry for the voicemail or sorry for being gay?" and confronts zoe again. zoe tries to get the attention off of her by asking about maya and grace is like "she's 'fine' just like how you're 'fine'. cut the bs binch" or whatever and zoe breaks all the way down, but before grace can comfort her she sees maya and esme fighting outside the office and she runs out to stop it. zoe, now that shes alone and still crying, contemplates self harming again (im gonna end this here cause this is long enough I deadass would write this whole episode if I could)
-anyway juggling between her upcoming surgery, college apps, and two lowkey suicidal best friends, grace is stressed tf out. this is where gronah steps in lol. i dont care much about jonah but i do know hes much more interesting and likeable when he's with grace. he gives her advice and shit and they go on a bunch of golfing dates, grace maybe takes him to yoga or something, they help each other with college apps, and well gronah happens! jonah basically goes from boring to manic pixie dream boy who tries to show grace that life is worth living and blah blah yall know the drill
-rasha needs a plot outside of zoe and i think her pursuing acting could be a thing!! she goes out to casting calls but every director says something along the line of "we just...envisioned someone else for the role" or "we dont rly think you'd...fit" bc shes muslim and then the one time she gets picked up for a student film, its about a terrorist attack and rasha doesnt realize until she shows up to rehearsal. she goes off on the director (and reminds her that most terrorist attacks are domestic lol) and runs off to goldi and they talk. maybe she tries to write her own webseries (probably with the help of winston) and it becomes a hit!! maybe we could have a probably cheesy as hell famous youtuber plot (and vijay gets jealous lol) and they have some sorta subscriber war where everyones taking sides. baaz, yael, and hunter try to sabotage rasha's show and bc our girl loves scheming she hits them back even harder :).
-also maybe we find out what happens to her friend back in syria? i dont want her to have too many depressing plots so maybe her friend is okay physically but not mentally and she has to deal with that :(
MAYA
-so like I already said maya's done with everyone bullshitting her and being overbearingly nice, so she starts closing herself off. this just makes everyone even more worried tho, so she forces herself back into music and her studies. grace and jonah are all over her, zig always looks guilty as fuck and treats her like a baby, miles forgot she existed but if they pass each other in the hall he'll ask how shes doing, zoe hugs her randomly one day, and esme...esmes the worst one. she starts lowkey stalking maya and its getting on her last nerve.
-she avoids saad like the plague at first, but eventually realizes that he's the only person who doesnt treat her any differently (or so she thinks). they go to the roof one day (cause that shit is never locked no matter how many suicide attempts happened up there) to talk things out, and saad completely switches gears. "what were you thinking??? why would you do that???" type of stuff. maya gets mad at him talks shit about his pictures maybe, idk. saad reminds her that its a coping mechanism after everything that happened in syria, maybe he says he once contemplated too?? idk all the ideas I have are depressing moving on
-one day maya explodes on everyone after she dissapears for a bit (umm maybe she was chosen to perform a song at a school event but, after hearing some girls talking about her suicide attempt in the bathroom, she decides to ditch) bc everyone (grace, jonah, zig, esme, zoe maybe) gang up on her to check if shes okay. she goes off, saying "none of you cared before i tried to kill myself so why care now?" and idk where I was going with this, I want maya happiness and closure but idk how to get there smh.
-uhh she finds hoot! she goes home after school and finds hoot stuffed in the back of her closet. she writes a bittersweet song and after a long talk with her mom, decides to call grace. maybe grace invites her over for a sleepover?? and zoe and maya can finally have a real conversation since The Incident too! Also grace can kinda kill 2 birds with one stone.
FRANKIE'S ANNOYING ASS
-I cant stand this child but shes the writers' baby so she'll get at least 5 main plots next season oh my god. My wishful thinking speaking, but maybe she'll learn its okay to be alone and finally learn to like herself! Hopefully she sees the value in sticking to the sidelines and helping her friends through their issues. Ooh, maybe she learns how to be a good ally after gorillagate and educates her brothers on why their many intolerances are wrong (lbr here, hunter probably uses "triggered" as an insult and continues to call all the refugees "scary", same with miles) BUT come on this is degrassi :) so the writers are probably gonna throw in a new male character for frankie to obsess over. Well, either a newbie or someone completely random thats already in the cast like fucking baaz or saad.
Z*SME
-zig and esme spend a lot of their time obsessing over maya I think, esme bc she sees her mom in maya and zig bc he feels like he made her do it. umm noah fence but i dont rly care about these two so thats all I got lol

what would they do if the other one was hurt? : well. they both conquer their fear of hospitals p quick, thats for sure ! it’s very much a ‘drop everything and get to them asap’ thing - they have to be there, so that they can be with them thru whatever it is. rylie will take care of him for as long as he needs. she’ll try and make him soup and then give up and buy it and she’ll take him to his appointments and make sure that he takes it easy bc lbr its almost always something leg related because of his job and if its not then she still does everything until she’s sure he’s aok. and a lot of the time for alex being w rylie when she’s injured means sitting by her bedside @ the hospital and waiting to see does she actually wak up and every time its hard to know. and then it’s awkward hovering and not rly knowing what to do w her or for her for a while until he has to go back to work and unlike rylie cant take as long as he wants grace and mostly she recovers alone but he’s always there, at first
