When the Justice league finds out that Captain Marvel is a child, they are NOT happy. He’s able to stay, but the relationship between him and league members is rocky at best. No one is really comfortable with talking to him anymore, and they’re all trying to act parental, which Billy HATES.
The JL still cares, obviously. They care about him a lot. It just hurts to see the real face behind the facade. To be shown that their coworker, someone they look up to, has been leading such a lonely life.
Cue a fanfiction where each chapter is the JL seeing Billy in his element. Helping a magical creature. Doing a whiz broadcast. Getting Constantine to help the JL. Getting Metron to help the JL. Persuading demons in a bar to lay off the JL for a while. Using his Champion status to get his teammates into a galactic embassy.
They’re shocked to see how good he is. How so many magical beings respect him despite his age. How even demons will cower in front of him and Doctor Fate will trust him with a well guarded secret. How Sterling Morris’s emails to the kid sound like they’re from a close drinking buddy rather than an unwilling boss.
It’s like they’re seeing the Captain for the first time again. His charisma, his intellect, his kindness. And they realize that not once has he gone off on them for hovering so much, for worrying so much. Because deep down Billy can’t help but be understanding. He can’t help but try to look at things from several points of view because that’s just the kind of person he is.
Though they don’t like how they got here, the JL is grateful that they got to see Billy in action. And over time, they realize how stupid, how awkward they were being to this kid who really didn’t want to cause them trouble, this was just his job. They remember that this is their friend who listens and loves and cares for them.
And if Billy noticed how the gazes locked on him went from nervous and anxious, to fond and caring, he didn’t say a thing.
The magic users are rolling their eyes because no shit he’s good at his job. Why do you think you haven’t gotten a message from another dimension or intergalactic shenanigan in space to worry about?

“Speak my name!” The Wizard cried. “Speak my name and take your rightful place as Champion!”
The girl looked, and saw expectation. She said nothing, awaiting the anger that followed inaction.
“Speak, girl!” The Wizard cried again.
The girl still stood there, as her lips stood still. She saw no anger in the man, only hope.
The girl saw the same growing in herself, fledgling and unfamiliar.
“Speak my name, Cassandra!” The Wizard shouted still.
Understanding dawned.
The girl’s lips parted.
Once more, the Wizard cried out. “Speak the Word!”
And for the first time in her young life, Cassandra spoke.
“SHAZAM!”

I always see headcanons about Billy practicing magic from like Constantine or Zatanna without his adult form & I wonder do people really read into Shazam bc Billy in both continuities ends up with Wizard’s powers by being bound to the Rock of Eternity naturally one way or another. He’s supposed to be the Wizard’s heir, be it Jebediah or Mamaragan.
Before New 52, the Wizard died and his power passed to Billy & now, Lazarus Planet has caused the power to be bound to Billy in place of the Wizard. That’s not to say it’s been well bc Billy was portrayed as pretty weak & currently, the Wizard is gonna steal his power bc magic rain made him evil & resentful despite the fact HE VERY MUCH PLANNED for Billy to take HIS SPOT SPECIFICALLY so him being big mad he lost his “position of power” makes no sense.
It’s also worth noting Billy’s magic is not like Constantine or Zatanna; their spells are currently written in the language of the Lightning (basically a magic language & writing system) which makes sense bc Mamaragan himself is a lightning/thunder god of Aboriginal origin that speaks in thunder/lightning in RL.
Im just saying; Billy’s magical abilities are not the same as some of the more familiar characters & is tied from an entirely different kind of mythology, fictional and otherwise, and is exclusive to him (there’s a reason why it’s reoccurring people seeking to steal the Magic of Shazam often tricks BILLY & not just absorb magic ability. Only Constantine has done that & it literally almost killed him). It’s way more interesting playing into that than making him Constantine/Zatanna 5.0 in magic

You know, it confused me at first why Black Adam would even bother seeing Mamaragan as a father figure in any capacity if he was grown as hell by the time he met him.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But then it occurred to me Teth was likely MUCH younger than I thought. He could of been a teenager/young adult (18-19) when he became a Champion alongside his nephew shortly before killing him. And in the time he served Mamaragan, he saw him like a father figure he later wanted to kill.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I can only imagine young ass Teth with the personality comparable to Billy pointing 👆🏽at this guy while talking to people and saying “This is my dad”.

What If Billy Batson was the reincarnation of Aman, the nephew of Black Adam and the original champion? Imagine for Adam finding out that your arch-nemesis is your nephew's reincarnation, the same one he "sacrificed". Would he be glad, sad, who knows and what about Billy? Would he question his own faith, whether or not his own belief and good will to help people come from himself or Aman? The pure hearted child. What would this do to Billy and Adams relationship? What about the wizard, did he know??

Don't ask how it's the FENTONS, that explains all.
DC or Marvel + DP
When Danny was born, he was very weak, and they weren't sure he would survive. So Maddie, driven by a parent's instinct, resorted to unconventional means involving mythogical entities to ensure her child's well-being.
She summoned an entity, an otherworldly being, who, in turn, modified Danny's DNA. But he said he would be a hero in his name in the future. + It could be H'ronmeer, the Martian God of Fire, Rao, a demon, a god, Mamaragan, or even Black Adam. Or of Marvel comics, Odin, Hela, Mephisto, Bastet, Cyttorak, Shuma-Gorath, Skrull God, a Fear Lord, or for comedy, Gorr.
Don't ask how. It's the FENTONS; that explains it all. + Years Later As she and Jack years later see Danny's Danny Phantom form, they are like," You aren't a ghost; it's that demon, god, something we summoned as you were a baby fault. You just got powers from your 3rd parents." Danny was just shocked as he looked at his parents. They attributed Danny's extraordinary abilities to the mystical being they had summoned during his infancy, not the Ghost Portal! I mean, the ghost calls him halfa; he is half-ghost!

Kid Infinity! (DP/Shazam)
So this is a ‘Danny is adopted’ AU. He was found by the Fentons on one of their ghost hunts (just so perfectly right there- def not sus). I’d say ten or younger, if on the older end he has some (convenient) amnesia. The Fentons roll right along and adopt him, probably blaming ghosts for him being alone. (They might even be right- sort of)
Danny grows up a Fenton, has his accident, becomes Phantom as in canon. But when he gets cloned and Dani needs to be stabilized he’s told that he needs a sample from a biological relative that’s fully alive (for reasons). Cue panic over the ‘adopted’ reveal (if he didn’t know or others in Amity didn’t know -side eyes Vlad-)
They eventually end with Clockwork to find Danny’s birth family. Clockwork is acting shifty. He reluctantly admits that he stole Danny away as a child to avoid a worse timeline. In his previous timeline he still would have died as a teenager, but he would have been sort of brought back, tricked and used by evil while having no memory of his name or family. By bringing him here, Danny still died and came back but he has family and friends (and maybe a kingdom he defeated Pariah Dark for).
They are skeptical, but in a hurry, so they head off to Fawcett/Philly (depending on world) where Danny’s biological brother lives. They have an address and a name: Freddy Freeman.
Freddy is shocked to find out his little brother Kit- Christoper Freeman is still alive. Kit went missing before Freddy was in foster care, maybe. Maybe disappeared into the system. The explanation that his brother was cloned and they need help… well Freddy is really into hero stuff. After all, he is Captain Everypower/Captain Marvel Jr (depending on world). He is down to help and now Shazam and Phantom are allies (the GIW shiver in fear).
Yes, Clockwork stole the kid (Kit Freeman) who would become Kid Eternity away before he could be killed and then tricked by the Lords of Chaos and the (canon-wise!) ghost Mister Keeper. (He was a ghost in the original and 'an agent of the Chaos Lords' in the reboot) In this Mister Keeper would be a ghost working for the Chaos Lords. Kid Eternity’s powers were invisibility, intangibility, summoning spirits of the dead, flight, and a ghost form! Sounds familiar.
Clockwork wanted his King of the Infinite Realms Phantom and he made it happen.
Now Freddy has a brother, a sister (Dani), another new sister Jazz. He’s happy!
Uh, maybe Freddy’s foster parents take in Danny and Dani if the Fenton parents don’t take the reveal well?
Diana finds out her grandfather (Kronos) adopted a kid? And he’s part of Captain Marvel’s group now. Say what? Diana versus the American government (Anti-ecto acts)
Happy endings for all. Except the GIW.
So instead of Kid Eternity we have Kid Infinity!
I am imagining old Mamaragan (the wizard) and Clockwork staring each other down. Two old beings with magic staffs and a team of powered kids.

Captain William "Thunder" Batson, photographed shortly before his sixteenth birthday, on the Kahndaqi front of the Third World War. Billy was always accompanied by his cat, Talky, pictured as well.
While Black Adam was well-known for getting into one-on-one altercations--"duels" if you will--with other metahumans, The Young Captain was his most frequent opponent. Batson would later write that the first time he and Teth ("Theo" as Billy often referred to Adam as in retrospect) fought, he spent the whole fight screaming about how Billy had "stolen his face, taken his face." Billy would eventually discover that the body Mamaragan had given him in his capacity as Champion of Shazam was the same one Teth's son had used eons ago.
By the end of the war, both Billy and Teth would completely withdraw from public life. Billy recommitted himself to his writing and work as a journalist and reporter, while Teth ceded control over Kahndaq to an elected council, with his loyalists--the Black Marvel Family--watching over the newly peaceful country and ousting any remnants of Intergang and Team 7 attempting to harass the populace.

hello everybody and welcome to another MajorAutismEventTM, I'm your host and this time I searched the depths of the deities internet in attempt to make a little snese of Enels attack names, please enjoy
vaarii - means 'sacrifice' in sanskrit (classical indo-aryan language), but also 'pitcher' and 'beloved' and 'rope for fastening an elephant' so take it with a grain of salt
kari - in old norse it's 'gust of wind' but also in about bagillion other languages it's curry so yeah
i won't explain thor
雷鳥 - rock ptarmigan (a medium-sized game bird), its japanese name literally translates to 'thunder bird', also it's the official bird of three prefectures and protected nationwide
雷獣 - another interesting one! the literal translation is 'thunder animal' or 'thunder beast' and it's a creature from japanese mythology made of lighting or fire which takes on the shape of a cat, tanuki, wolf, monkey or a weasel. it's the companion of raijin (shinto god of lighting, with a ring of drums on his back) and its cry sounds like thunder. normally it's chill, but during thunderstorms it bounces all around and scratches trees and stuff. also it likes to sleep in people's navels
julunggul - one of the names for the rainbow serpent, a common deity (or a creator god) in aboriginal culture. it's associated with water and power and also is a literal rainbow
mamaragan - another aboriginal deity, a lighting ancestral being that speaks with thunder, rides storm-clouds, throws lighting bolts on people and trees and lives in in a puddle
amaru - a mythical serpent from andean civilizations, it can have numerous different heads, wings, horns and a fish tail. it's a symbol of wisdom and is associated with water. it can be protective or destructive.
this shit was frustratingly hard to find and i still don't understand the 'hino kiten' thing, so if you have any ideas, feel free to share. it's also possible that i'm trying to find meaning where it's not, but as some wise person said 'it may not be that deep, but the ground is soft and i'm ready to start digging'. that's all, thx, bye

by WingsOfTheDamned Billy's memories about his life before being Captain Marvel have always been... non existent. The Gods were always ominous about it whenever he asked. E136: The Marvels
The Marvels
First off, and this may be controversial but...non American Batsons? I'm split between Canada or England.
Billy Batson and Mary Bromfield are twins, like Pre-Flashpoint, anointed as co-champions by the Wizard Shazam (Not Mamaragan, he's his own character).
Also, Handaqi heritage for both of them.
The power is halved when they're both transformed, but they can DBZ style combine into Captain Thunder, who's more powerful than either one at full power.
They're both called Captain Marvel, both they're nicknamed Lord and Lady Marvel when operating as one.
Freddy Freeman is blonde, but his transformed state (once he's loaned out the power of course) looks just like Elvis. This further divides the Shazam power into thirds, and further increases Captain Thunder's power.
There is a greater age gap between these three and Pedro, Eugene, and Darla.
This might be a controversial opinion, but I like Billy's Darkseid War re-power, so at some point he ends up with that powerset (S'ivaa, H'ronmeer, Anapel, Zonuz, Ate & Mamaragan) while Mary gets another goddess focused powerset from the Amazons, and the original SHAZAM powerset is distributed between Uncle Dudley and the remaining Vasquez household children.

Since y’all ain’t functioning right, let’s do a headcanon for Billy & the Wizard: Mamaragan has a beautiful singing voice & Billy happened upon it when he thought he was alone. Now he occasionally tries to get him to sing & he LOVES it.

Old comic vs new comic on Wizard Shazam banishing Black Adam.
Bonus: He was also in that wizard robe that apparently Mamaragan thought was hot cheeks & traded out.
