What Are Those: In some stories, due to their nature, dragons seek, avoid and attack certain places/objects. Fire dragons seek anything and anywhere that gives heat, Ice dragons avoid said heat while Holy dragons attack anything that's impure. We know Jaune seeks precious gems. Is there anything that he would avoid and attack?
I Am A Creature of Stereotypes, Evidently
Ruby: Okay… here’s one for you: “The more I take the more I leave behind.”
Yang: Uhhh… Air?
Ruby: Nope.
Yang: Crap.
Weiss: Dirt?
Ruby: Also no.
Weiss: What?
Jaune: Foorsteps.
Ruby: Correct! Okay, next one: “If two is a company, and three is a crowd, what is four, and five.
Weiss: Four is a quartet right?
Ruby: Yes, but that’s not the answer.
Weiss: What?
Blake: It makes sense, five is a pentagon, I don’t think that works as an answer.
Ruby: Nope~!
Yang: Then what is it?
Jaune: Nine.
Ruby: Correct!
Weiss: What? That doesn’t make any sense?
Yang: Four, and five… equals nine…
Weiss: That’s a stupid answer!
Ruby: Okay next riddle! “Iron roof, glass walls. Burns, and burns, but never falls.”
Blake: Iron roof, and glass walls?
Weiss: Never falls…
Yang: Is it a…?
Jaune: A lantern.
Ruby: Correct!
Yang: What?!
Blake: How does he keep doing this?’
Ruby: “I have rivers without water, forests without trees, mountains without rocks, and towns without houses.”
Yang: So it’s an image then? It has those things, but it doesn’t have them…
Weiss: Oh! Its a…?!
Jaune: A map.
Weiss: A map?! Gods dammit?! I had it!
Blake: That’s one to us! Right?
Ruby: Mmmm… neither of you get the point.
Yang: Dammit.
Ruby: Okay… Oh here’s a good one!
Ruby: Ahem: “I begin eternity, and end space. At the end of time, and in every place. Last in life, second to death. Never alone. Found in your breath. Contained by earth, water or flame. My grandeur so awesome. Wind dare not tame. Not in your mind. Am in your dreams. Vacant to Kings, present to Queens.”
Weiss: Huw…?
Blake: That is a good one…
Yang: It would be better if I knew the answer?!
Jaune: The letter ‘E.’
Ruby: Correct!
Weiss: Oh come on?!
Blake: Already?!
Yang: How is the letter ‘E’ the fucking answer?!
Jaune: Simple: The answer is found when you think literally, not metaphorically.
Yang: Eh?
Weiss: ‘End of Time.’ Time ends with the letter ‘E.’
Blake: ‘Vacant in kings, present in queens.’ Queen has the letter, ‘E’ in it, and kings doesn’t…
Yang: …
Yang: I hate riddles…
Ruby: Ah-ha… H-Here’s an easy one: ‘What kind of ear cannot hear?’
Weiss: A deaf one?
Ruby: No.
Weiss: How is that not the answer?!
Yang: Ear hair…?
Ruby: Eww, gross!
Yang: But, am I wrong…?
Ruby: Yes, yes you are wring.
Yang: Shit!
Blake: Uhhh…? A… A…?
Weiss: You have no idea do you?
Blake: No…
Ruby: Haa… Jaune?
Jaune: An ear of corn.
Ruby: Correct!
Weiss: Oh?! Give me that book!
Ruby: What… hey?!
Weiss: Okay, Jaune here’s one for you: “He who makes me doesn’t want me, he who buys me doesn’t need me, he who uses me doesn’t care.”
Jaune: A casket.
Weiss: What!! How did you… grrrr! Never mind. Next riddle! “I run through hills; I veer around mountains.I leap over rivers, and crawl through the forests. Step out your door to find me.” What is it…?!
Jaune: Roads.
Weiss: Okay…?! Let’s continue shall we…?!
Yang: I think we should take that book away from her.
Blake: I’m afraid she’ll bite me if I try…
Weiss: Okay… “I am a portal to another world, I can take you to places unseen, but I require no magic spell to open. What am I?”
Jaune: A book.
Weiss: MOTHER FU…?!!!
Yang: We’re in public, Weiss! Don’t scream your head off!
Juniper: Oh my? What’s going on by on here?
Ruby: I was just asking my team some riddles, and I think, Weiss is angry that he keeps on answering the riddles. I’m not really sure though.
Blake: Probably has to deal with the speed of which he is answering them too. I mean, here’s a riddle for you, Jaune: “I have a heart that never beats, I have a home but I never sleep. I can take a man’s house and build another’s. And I love to play games with my many brothers. What am I?”
Jaune: The king of hearts.
Blake: Correct.
Weiss: You didn’t even fucking think about it?! You’re cheating!
Blake: And, that’s why, Weiss is upset.
Ruby: I think it’s more so to do with her pride of not answering any herself.
Blake: Probably.
Juniper: Ahh you silly girls; You asked a dragon to play a game of riddles. You were bound to lose eventually, Jaune is a master of riddles. It’s honestly a little scary.
Jaune: What’s scary about my love for riddles?
Juniper: Nothing really, It’s just weird overall.
Jaune: And, why is that?
Juniper: No reasons. Now girls, let me give you the ultimate riddle for, Jaune! Okay, Jaune sweetie; “What have I got in my pocket?”
Blake: That riddle from that book?
Weiss: Then that means that the answers a…!
Jaune: A condom.
Blake: A ring! Wait, what?!
Yang: You’re kidding me… That’s not the answer.
Ruby: Is he right?
Juniper: H-How did you know?!
Weiss: HE’S RIGHT?!
Yang: Seriously.
Jaune: I can smell the latex.
Blake: You know what a condom smells like?
Jaune: She waved them in my face for an hour when she was showing me ‘how’ to use them. I remember that smell…
Juniper: And, that is good so you remember how to have safe sex.
Jaune: You told me not to use them because it, and I quote: “Condoms cut off the circulation to my penis, and make it fall off. So don’t use them.” End quote. So knowing that girls: “Why does my mom want me to use a condom?”
Ruby: To actually have safe sex?
Yang: Yeah, I mean you’ve already done it with a few girls. Hopefully me too… You don’t want them to end up pregnant, and ruin their careers now do you?
Jaune: Wrong.
Weiss: Those answers make complete sense.
Blake: How is that wrong?
Jaune: Simple: Mom punched a hole into the tip of the condom with a pin, rendering them useless.
Ruby: That’s not why you’re giving him those condoms now is it?
Juniper: Dammit, I’ve become predictable…
Ruby: W-W-What…?
Yang: Wait seriously?!
Blake: Talk about baby fever…
Weiss: Thank goodness you used a working one when you slept with my mom. Right, Jaune?
Ruby: Wait, You did sleep with her mom?!
Yang: I thought that was just a wild rumour?! You actually did it?!
Jaune: Uhhh…
Weiss: Y-You used protection… R-Right, Jaune…?
Jaune: Well, you see…
Weiss: Jaune… did you use protection…?
Jaune: I’m not saying she… But, I’ll take responsibility… Okay?
Weiss: Ahh… I see…
(Thud!)
Ruby: Weiss?!
Yang: Great, she fainted again…
Blake: Wait… You slept with, Weiss’s mother?! How the hell did that happen?!
Jaune: She discovered a new kink for me, and I lost it… okay?
Yang: What new kink?!
Jaune: I’m not answering that!
Juniper: So… does that mean grand babies…?
Jaune: Uhhh…?
Juniper: Grand babies~?
Jaune: Oh no…

Pilot, I know you primarily bully Jaune. But would you mind having a go at Papa Arc talking to the Vacuo mural?
Tumblr media
Orion Arc is not a hero, even though his son always thought he was. He’s just a man who loves his family and tries his best to do right by them.
So it’s more than a little strange standing there, in front of a mural of his own son’s face. His boy immortalized and honored in ways Orion could never dream of.
His son looks like a stranger.
“Mr. Branwen thought it might help to talk to ya.” Orion’s hand brushes over the palm prints of countless children, all paying their respect to his boy. “Don’t see much point, ain’t gonna bring you back.”
His son watches him, all quiet confidence and bravery. A true warrior, a hero. Where is his brash anxious son who begged to join the Huntsman Academies? How much of his son did he lose when Jaune finally left home? Somewhere along the way his boy grew into a man and he wasn’t there to help him.
“Your uh…” He clears his throat. “Your mother misses you.” And it sounds pathetic even as he says it. Even in front of a facsimile of his son he can’t say what he needs to.
“She was beside herself when you didn’t come back from Haven.” So was he, even more so than his wife. Orion paced the house for days, worry driving him to throw himself into work, into anything that would take his mind off the attack and the fate of his boy. “We were so relieved to hear from Saph about you and your friends.”
His friends. A group of seven that from all accounts Jaune grew closer to than even his sisters. Orion glances up at the others in the mural. Four of which fell alongside his boy, and the other three were left grieving.
Ren, Nora, and Oscar, he remembers them being called. He never thought he’d see his grief echoed in faces so young.
“As soon as we saw the broadcast, your mother was packin’ our bags.” Orion chuckles. “You shoulda seen her, she was fixin’ to march up to the General herself and teach him a lesson. If I ever wondered where you got your fire, I got my answer.”
His face falls, crumpling like paper. “And I triedta douse that fire.” How many times did he tell Jaune it was okay if he failed? How many times did he refuse to train him? How many times did he let his fear guide him to crush his son’s dreams?
“When you walked into the livin’ room with your transcripts in hand sayin’ you were gonna be a Huntsman whether I wanted it or not, why…” His eyes are stinging. If there’s anything his son inherited from him, it’s his tendency for emotions to live near the surface. “Why that was the proudest day of my life.”
He’d never been more proud. Never. His boy standing there with those papers clutched in his fist, and a defiant look on his face. “I won’t let you down.” Jaune had said.
You could never let me down. It’s what he should’ve said. Why didn’t he just say it?
Orion scrubs the heel of his hand into his eyes. It does nothing to stop the flow of tears. “Did I ever once tell ya how proud I am of you?” His voice is cracking and hitching, but if he stops talking now Orion knows he’ll never start again.
“You’re so brave and you don’t quit when things get tough. I saw how hurt you were after the Fall of Beacon, but you just got right back on that horse.” His baby boy, the most caring and most stubborn of all his children. Strapping the family sword back onto his hip because “Somebody has to, dad.”
Letters where it’s clear his boy isn’t saying half the trouble, but he’s saying enough that they know what trouble is. Hearing about the attack on Haven, a week and a half of terror. Saphron sending word that Jaune made it to Argus.
And then nothing. Nothing until the broadcast from Miss Rose.
Packing in a whirlwind, sending the girls to stay with Saphron. Renting the first available airship to Vacuo and contending with his wife’s motion sickness. By the time they got there, they were met halfway by a near armada.
But no Jaune.
Orion’s hand rests on Jaune’s painted cheek. A child’s hand against the larger-than-life hero his boy grew into when he wasn’t there.
Did he ever tell his son how much he loves him?
“Come back to us,” Orion begs, no longer trying to stem the flow of tears. Why bother? His son isn’t here to see them.

Yang Priorities
Yang: Hey Jaune.
Jaune: Yes?
Yang: Remember that question me and Winter asked you?
Jaune: Yes.
Yang: Be honest with me then am I a good sister?
Jaune I mean you are better than me but not better than Winter or Sapphron.
Yang: How so?
Jaune: Yang you have been doing Ruby dirty for a while.
Yang: Not true.
Jaune: Yang on her first day you abandoned her. How do you think we met?
Yang: um.
Jaune: Our initiation, you never once tried to save her. Weiss did that.
Yang: Okay but that was because she needed to toughen up. Especially if she is going for the big leagues.
Jaune: Okay. First mission.
Yang: Oh come on, I was asleep. I found her and hugged her.
Jaune: Okay. After the fall of Beacon.
Yang: Okay you can not fault me for that. I was going through it.
Jaune: You were crying over a girl. At least she was alive.
Yang: I lost my arm.
Jaune: Protecting Blake who you were crying over. And you got a new one. I stepped up and went with Ruby to Mistral.
Yang: I eventually came back.
Jaune: You did. But not before going after Raven. The deadbeat.
Yang: She was my-
Jaune: Bitch, you could've just called once you were close to the city.
Yang: It would have taken me hours.
Jaune: You had a bike.
Yang: Still.
Jaune: Okay then back Blake. You talk shit about how your mom did you dirty. But suddenly when Blake did the same shit and came back you forgave her.
Yang: She's different. She did it to protect us.
Jaune: That's great. But here's the thing, um, we were in danger anyways. What the fuck do you mean?!
Yang: … … I-
Jaune: And the crazy part is, you prioritize Blake a lot more than your own sister.
Yang: Not-
Jaune: Yang, Beacon you gave her a lecture because she was obsessed with the White Fang.
Weiss: Then in the house, you got Blake out first before Ruby.
Jaune: Yang you were against telling Ironwood a lie and called Ruby out on it.
Weiss: Not once but twice.
Yang: Weiss!
Weiss: You're right. He is going to do the same thing to me. But still.
Jaune: But all of a sudden when Blake wanted to talk with Robyn you agreed to that shit! With no debate!
Yang: Okay that-
Jaune: Then when that old lady talked bad about Faunuses, you were ready to talk shit considering your girl is a Faunus.
Yang: Okay, I-
Jaune: Nah, bitch, I am not FUCKING done. The Ever After you were crying over your sister, but before, what were you doing that you didn't notice her having a mental breakdown?
Yang: Umm… well-
Jaune:  See bitch I should- Ooh. Ooh.
Yang: Okay but-
Jaune: And then when she finally broke down. Start yelling at Blake, you jump in front, protecting her, from your own sister.
Yang: Okay but I am still there for her.
Jaune: You're right. You do. But still, you need to start balancing Blake and Ruby because if you don't, then your relationship will be just as bad as Qrow’s.
Yang: Yeah you're right. But hold on what makes you worse?
Jaune: Yang, I have seven sisters. The one sister you met, I allowed all of you into her house. Eat her food. Cracked her walls. Risked her wife’s job and in danger her whole family to get us to Atlas. And guess what, I never told her about Salem or the mission we're on. She's probably worried sick especially because I barely write to her.
Yang: Damn.
Jaune: In fact I haven't talked to my family in years. I haven't spoken to anyone in my family since Beacon.
Yang: What?
Jaune: You heard me.
Yang: Oh my God, Jaune, you need to go home.
Jaune: *stressed out* I know!

Lunch time in the cafeteria.*
Jaune: Here ya go babe, coffee and a little cupcake.
Pyrrha: Oh thank you Jaune! *Looks at the little cupcake.* Awww, and this little cake is so cute! Aww, it’s so small and round, it’s adorable. Oh the little bunny face in icing on top? Don’t you just want to cuddle it and take it home? Oh I could just eat you up! *Suddenly grows sad, clearing her throat awkwardly.*
Jaune: You personified an inanimate object and upset yourself again didn’t you?
Pyrrha, sighing: Yeah. I have to stop doing that, first it was Henry my pen who ran out of ink, then it was Larry my bite-size sandwich, Milo and Akouo... You don’t think it’s weird do you?
Jaune: You gave a cupcake a name and a personality in three seconds flat, then got upset cos you’re gonna eat it. Yes, you’re crazy. *Smiles at her pout.* But you’re adorable crazy.
Pyrrha: Thanks. I think?

Weiss: What are you doing?
Jaune: Beg your pardon?
Weiss: Well you're breathing and taking off your boots so the other thing.
Jaune: To borrow a phrase from my stance on social media: I don't follow.
Weiss: Don't you think crossing your legs is a little fruity.
Jaune: On the contrary, the less bending over a guy does the better.
Weiss: Sounds homophobic.
Jaune: Sounds chiropractic.
Weiss: You know I go both ways so if you ever want to bring a girl home just say the word. Or a guy.
Jaune: Are we going to have a problem here? Weiss?

Equipment Restoration
RWBYJP: *about to return to Remnant in the vol 9 finale*
Jaune: *takes Tarnished Spartan Pyrrha’s hand* Well, partner…ready to go around again?
Pyrrha: *kisses Rusted Knight Jaune’s cheek* Yes. Let’s go home!
Episodes 1-3 of volume 10:
Nora: *peeks into Arkos room in Vacuo* Uh, hey Fearless leader? Pyr-Pyr? Are you guys going to come join us for some epic adventures fighting against the evil villains?
Jaune: *carefully buffing his armor* Sorry, Nora, I JUST finished cleaning the rust off my chest plate, and now I have to sand it and apply some primer!
Pyrrha: *mixing baking soda, salt, and hot water in a big bucket* After I finish soaking my greaves, I’ll need to do some polishing…
Pyrrha: Can you stall the plot for another day or two?
Nora: *sigh* All right, but I’m running out of hilarious comedic-relief hijinks over here, and everyone else wants to move the main story along in the next episode or two! You can’t spend the whole volume cleaning your armor after twenty years of neglect!
Jaune: We were going through some stuff, okay?!

Short White Knight: Sometimes, a hug can make your day better.
Jaune opens The Door. Its still 8pm but he feels like all weight of the world is on his shoulders. Work on Beacon today was harsh.
Jaune: Im home.
Weiss: Welcome home. *she comes from The bedroom, kissing Jaune in the cheek* How was work today?
Jaune: Tiring. *He puts his mallet beside The Sofa.* I feel so tired... This was a very bad day.
Weiss: How so?
Jaune: First someone tried to steal The mallet, then i had to deal with Cardin, and Yang accidentaly punched my guts and-
suddenly, Weiss hugs Jaune. He looks at her confused, until she says:
Weiss: Ruby always says a hug can make a day go better. *she looks at him* How do you feel?
Jaune: To be honest? *He hugs her back* i think i need more time like this.
Weiss Smiles, as Jaune lifts her from The ground, hugging her with need. They dont care about how many time they are like this. They just care about embracing and comforting eachother.

They just want to be happy.

After the Ever After #3
Back at home base
Nora: *Worry* You're leaving?!
Jaune: I just need some time to adjust to this world again. I'll be back soon.
Nora: But what about us! Our team!
Ruby: *walks in* What's going on here?
Nora: Jaune wants to leave us!
Ruby: What?!
Jaune: I'm not leaving permanently. I'll be back, I promise.
Ruby: *Looks at him in thought*
Nora: Say something Ruby! Don't let him go!
Ruby: Do you promise to comeback?
Nora: Ruby!
Jaune: Arc promise.
Ruby: Ok, we will wait for you.
Nora: No! *Hugs Jaune tight* You can leave us! I thought I lost you when you didn't come out on the other side. I don't want to lose you again.
Jaune: *hugs her back* It's ok Nora. I'll be back soon. Have I ever not kept my promise?
Nora: Pyrrha
Jaune:...
Jaune: Nora, that's not fair.
Nora: Please stay.
Jaune: I can't
Nora: *Crying* Please
Jaune: *Holding back* I'm sorry
Nora stops hugging Jaune and steps aside. Jaune takes the backpack from her and heads towards the hallway.
Jaune: See you soon.
Ruby: See you soon Jaune.
Nora:...
As he walks into the hallway he sees Ren and Oscar leaning against the wall.
Jaune: I assume you guys heard what happened.
Ren: *Nods*
Oscar: Please take this with you.
he gives Jaune a polaroid with all his friends.
Oscar: Just in case you feel lonely.
Jaune: *Smiles* Thank you.
Ren: I'm sorry Jaune.
Jaune: Sorry for what?
Ren: I don't know, for everything.
Jaune: I see, well don't worry about.
Ren: Be safe.
Jaune: I will
Jaune leaves the two behind and walks towards the exit. Once outside he walks north. After a few moments he stops in the middle of the road.
Jaune: You know, I planned this trip with the idea of being alone.
Emerald: *Using her semblance she appeared near him with a backpack* How did you know I was following you?
Jaune: When you have a murderous monster hunting you, you learn a thing or two in the Ever After.
Emerald: Jeez dude, good way to light up the mood.
Jaune: Well, why don't you go back to the others?
Emerald: You're not my boss.
Jaune: Well I-
Emerald: And I know that you need someone to watch your back.
Jaune: Em, look...
Emerald: I'm not asking. I'm telling you.
Jaune: *Sighs* Fine
Emerald: So where are we going?
Jaune: To check on an old friend of mine.

What are those: wallow decided to go to beacon academy with winter to go see how wiess is doing but instead meet with jaune
The Dragon’s Diamond
A small bullhead flew through the air towards, Beacon Academy. It was a privately owned airship that belonged to the, Schnee Dust Company, and right now it was carrying an assortment of precious cargo: The daughter of the founder of the, SDC, Willow Schnee. Her eldest child, Winter Schnee. And a locked cased filled with diamonds of various sizes, and quality. At least what they assumed were diamonds. For they had come here to see if they were in fact real diamonds.
Winter: I’m sorry mother, but I must protest; Why did you have to come along to handle this simple endeavour; you could have simply handed over your, and my diamonds to, Klein, and let him handle it. Why did you have to come along?
Willow: I needed a vacation. This seemed like a reasonable excuse why to do so. Besides, it also gives me an excuse to be around my daughters. Is there something wrong with me desiring to be with my family my dear?
Winter: …
Winter: No, no there isn’t anything wrong with that, it’s just unexpected is all.
Willow: I understand, but being away from home also keeps me away from drinking. I’ve managed to at least reduce the amount I’ve been drinking substantially, but being around your father long enough will lead me back to drowning myself in the bottle again. I cannot allow that to happen.
Winter: I… I’m sorry, I thought you chose to leave for different reasons.
Willow: Like trying fine, Valian wines?
Winter: Ahh! Yes… Yes I thought so.
Willow: Well, depending on what, and where we’re having dinner I wouldn’t mind a suitable wine to go along with it, but I have to stop drinking. Not so much for myself, but for you, your sister, and your brother. I… I want to stay a part of your lives, to see you grow old, and start families of your own in the future. It would be a shame if I am to deny myself these opportunities because I drank myself to death…
Winter: Thank you, Mother. Hearing you say that means a lot to me. But, if you want to give up drinking, why are you looking forward to having wine with your meal?
Willow: I’m slowly weaning myself off drinking. Not everyone can just go cold turkey now can they?
Winter: I would prefer it if you did.
Willow: Well, it would probably be for the best if I did, but… Oh, we’re here, let’s continue this discussion later, and find your sister.
Winter: Very well then, Mother.
As the ship landed the mother, and daughter duo grabbed their luggage, and made their way towards the academy. As they neared closer to the tower, Willow couldn’t help, but take in the sights around her.
Willow: Oh my… Beacon Academy is such a lovely place.
Winter: Yes, the warm breeze, and vibrant greenery give this place such a relaxing air to it.
Willow: I know, Weiss went to, Beacon to escape father in, Atlas. But, do you suppose this rich atmosphere contributed to it?
Winter: I believe it was more so her desire to escape, Father. But, this is a nice benefit.
Willow: I hope she is feeling happy here.
Winter: Me too.
Willow: But, where do you believe she is?
Winter: I have no idea, there should be an information desk up front we can ask.
Willow: Or, I suppose we could ask him if he knows where, Weiss is.
Winter: Who?
As they drew closer to the, Academy they saw the statue out front, and a student sitting on the base of the statue. They noticed that he was seemingly mumbling to himself as he ran his hands through his golden hair as he evaded the white horns poking out.
Winter: A faunas?
Willow: Excuse me, young man?
: Hmm, what? Oh, hello.
Willow: Hello. I was wondering if you could help us.
: With what?
Winter: We’re looking for my sister, Weiss Schnee, do you perchance know her?
: Weiss Schnee? Yeah, I know her, we’re friends after all.
Willow: Excellent, can you please lead us to her?
: Sure I can… I can…?! Hurk?!
His hand quickly came up to cover his mouth, seemingly trying to repress a gag. His luck failed him as he continued to dry heave until a he opened his mouth, and a belch of fire erupted from his mouth before he fell into a small coughing fit as small jets of flame escaping his mouth with each cough. As soon as his coughing fit ended he popped a small white marble into his mouth, before turning to address the duo.
: Jacques you cheap bastard! (Cough!) Ahem, sorry about that, upset stomach. Hehe…
The duo looked at him in stunned shock, taking a moment for themselves to collect themselves. Willow seemingly able to keep her wits about her.
Willow: A-Are you okay?
: Yeah, I’m fine.
Winter: But, you just belched fire?
: That’s a semi-common occurrence.
Willow: But…?!
Winter: Wait, Mother… Male, blue eyes, blond hair, horns, and can breath fire… You’re the, Dragon King, Jaune Arc, aren’t you?
Jaune: That’s me, well mostly. I’m not a king of any sorts, but I am a dragon faunas. Anyway, my name is, Jaune Arc, nice to meet you.
Jaune offered his hand for the pair to shake as they introduced themselves in kind.
Willow: Willow, Willow Schnee, it’s a pleasure to meet you.
Winter: Specialist Winter Schnee.
Jaune: So you’re, Weiss’s family? That explained the smells.
Winter: Smells?
Jaune: I have a highly, highly acute sense of smell. I can smell familiarity’s between people, to the point I can tell if someone is related to another.
Winter: That sounds like an impressive ability.
Jaune: It has its downsides… Like my little sister trying to use me as a bloodhound…
Willow: You said you are friends with my daughter, Mr. Arc, can you lead us to her?
Jaune: Uhhh… No, no I can’t. She went into, Vale with the rest of her team just a little while ago.
Winter: She did, why?
Jaune: I don’t know; I left to ‘throw up,’ and when I came back she, and her teammates had disappeared. My sister said that they had made an emergency trip to, Vale, and that was all there was to it. Do you want me to call her, and let her know you’re here?
Winter: No… Well, maybe we should.
Willow: Oh dear… I was hoping to surprise her with our sudden visit.
Jaune: You can still do that if you want.
Willow: We can, how?
Jaune: Weiss, and her teams room is just down the hall from my teams room. You can wait there until she arrives.
Winter: What do you think mother?
Willow: We might as well, this young man has graciously offered us his place to us while we wait for your sister to return. We won’t be in there for a few hours at most.
Winter: Very well, we graciously accept your kind offer, Mr. Arc.
Jaune: My pleasure, and please, just call me, Jaune.
Winter: Very well then, Jaune.
Jaune: Even if you rejected my offer you’d no doubt be taken to my room anyway so I could inspect those diamonds, and any other gemstones of yours. If there are any that is…
Winter: What are you talking about?
Jaune: Two things: Those are, Fortress grade safe-boxes, made by the, Gem Refinery. To which I own, I know my merchandise. Especially the safe-boxes…
Willow: Wait, you’re the owner of the, Gem Refinery?
Jaune: Yes, I am. Second I over heard, Weiss… screaming to her father on how she wanted her entire families precious jewels so they can be appraised. And, who is that appraiser, me: Jaune Arc, the Lapidary Master!
Willow: You’re the, Lapidary Master?!
Jaune: Yep!
Willow: I don’t believe you. You’re just a teenager, and you’re supposedly the worlds most renowned fine cut gem grader?
Jaune: Oh, just you wait, and see darling! Now then, lets go look at some pretty stones!
~~~
Jaune: Hmmmm…?
Jaune hummed in speculation as he examined a rather large diamond on a gold ring with a jewellers magnifier. Willow looked on in a chair besides him, while, Winter look on from his bed as, Jaune worked.
Willow: That was the engagement ring my husband gave me, he said it is one caret diamond ring.
Willow: …
Willow: It is a diamond ring… Right?
Jaune looked at, Willow, back to the ring, and then back to her. Their eyes stayed locked for a moment before he threw it into his mouth, and a hard crunching sound soon followed this action.
Willow’s face fell into her hands as she groaned in disbelief at what she had just witnessed, again.
Willow didn’t believe, Jaune when he started sorting her diamonds into two piles, one labeled real, and labeled fake. The ‘fake’ pile had grown considerably larger then the ‘real’ pile to the point she doubted he was actually genuinely grading her diamonds, and was trying to steal them. To prove his innocence, he grabbed a sizeable real diamond, and bit it. The sound it made was akin to bitting a jaw breaker: hard, and solid, as if one smacked their head against a wall.
Jaune, then grabbed one he deemed a ‘fake’ and bit into it. The sound was like someone bit into a hard candy, and wanted to chew it up, instead of sucking on it; Loud, and crunchy.
He made this a habit whenever she doubted his expertise, as a master gemologist. A habit she had come to dread because of the details that followed with it.
Luckily that was the second to last diamonf he needed to inspect, and she knew for certain that the last one wasn’t fake.
Willow: At least tell me the ring was made of gold?
Jaune spat out the piece of metal next to the pile of fakes, she grimaced as she looked at him as he regretfully smiled at her.
Jaune: Well… Pyrite, isn’t called ‘fools gold’ for nothing… hehe…
Willow: Gods dammit… My husband bought me a fake engagement ring?! How cheap of a man is he?!
Winter: More so then we could possibly believe…
Jaune: I doubt he was in this case.
Winter: What do you mean?
Jaune: Well… From what I’ve been told your father is a greedy whore. Uhh?! N-No offence.
Winter: None taken.
Willow: Please, feel free to continue badmouthing my husband at your leisure.
Jaune: Okay? Anyway, your husband is a greedy whore, from what I’ve seen. And, from what, Weiss has said about him is that he doesn’t commit to anything that doesn’t have a shiny price tag attached to it. I think he acquired these gemstones as a future investment. Liquid assets as you would put it.
Winter: That sounds like something father would do, but why would he buy fakes? My father is a greedy bastard, and will do everything to save a chip. He wouldn’t buy fake diamonds, there’s no value in that.
Jaune: Maybe he didn’t know he was buying fakes?
Winter: You believe someone swindled him?
Willow: It is a logically sound idea when you think about it.
Jaune: I’m well aware of several infamous gem pedlars. Give me a list of your sellers, and I could identify who is a legit seller, and who is not. Because there are some real ones here, so maybe he bought the fakes from one person, and the real ones from another.
Willow: I believe they were all acquired from one person, at least the vast majority were.
Jaune: And, that person’s name is?
Willow: Cartiff… Cartiff… Oh, I forget his first name.
Jaune: …
Jaune: It wouldn’t happen to be, Quintin now would it…?
Willow: Quintin… Yes, Quintin Cartiff, that was his name. How did you know?
Jaune: Quintin… Quintin Cartiff…
Willow: J-Jaune? Is everything okay…
Jaune: Quintin CARTIFF!!!
Winter immediately jumped in front of her mother pulling her mother back. Her hand stayed on her blade as she saw a truly terrifying sight. Within the space of a blink the calm, and happy boy revealed a monster of fire, and ash. His head realed upwards as he scream his name in a bloody rage. Winter got to see first hand the hidden fang he hide behind that warm, and inviting smile of his. The way his mouth shut, terrified her knowing full well he could bite down into someone in mere seconds, and could easily pierce through aura, and flesh like it was tissue paper. She marvelled at the sight of blue flames erupting from clenched fangs. The reports she had seen about the dragon faunas were fragmented, and vague, but even those brief insights paled in reality at the sight before her.
The flames, erupting from, Jaune’s teeth slowly fettered out as a finally deep exhale escaped his lips, he shook his head as if trying to shake off some sort of ill feeling upon him. He leaned back in his chair to look at the mother, daughter duo as he gave them a nervous, and embarrassed smile as he awkwardly scratched the back of his head.
Jaune: Ah haha… Sorry about that… I didn’t expect hearing his name to set me off like that… Hehehe… Sorry…
Willow: It seems you are well acquainted with this individual?
Jaune: As well as I would like to be. The bastard is an infamous counterfeiter, specializing in fake jewels. Particularly diamonds. I met him years ago after I just started out my… passion for collecting precious gemstones. He sold me some nice diamonds the first few times, but then he came back again, and the ‘diamonds’ he brought were all fakes. He denied it of course. Then I ate his ‘diamonds’ to prove to him that they were all fakes.
Willow: Oh, so eating fake diamonds is not a recent habit you’ve developed. I thought it was just for show.
Jaune: Well, yeah it kinda is. I mean what better way to prove if a diamond is a fake?
Winter: Do you often eat precious stones?
Jaune: No, I tend to eat, Dust more so then cubic zirconia, and the like. That’s why I was belching fire earlier, Weiss fead me some, SDC Dust that made me sick to my stomach. Jacques is such a cheap bastard…
Winter: Wait, you eat, Dust?!
Willow: And, what does my husband have to do with that?
Jaune: Okay, one box left to examine!
Jaune simply ignored the ladies questions as he took out the last box. It was a seven inch cube box covered in various locking mechanisms that, Jaune was quite intrigued on opening it himself. But, in the pursuit of time he just handed it over to, Willow who opened it herself. And, upon it’s opening, Jaune beheld a beautiful sight. The one diamond he had been hoping to see for ages.
The famous, Schnee Diamond.
The diamond was cut into an orb with a with a three diameter, roughly making it the same size as your average baseball. It shimmered, and sparkled like a star under the light of his desk lamp. He extended the talons on his hand as he picked it up, and inspected this prized jewel. Turning it over as he marvelled in its beauty.
Willow: …?
Willow: Do you like it, Mr. Arc?
Jaune: …
Willow: Do you like it, Jaune?
Jaune: …
Willow: Jaune!
Jaune: Huw? Oh yeah, It is such a marvellous diamond… I’ve been dreaming of seeing it, holding it within my hands to marvel in its splendour since I first saw photos of it, and I must say those photos do it no justice in its magnificent.
Winter: Are you sure it’s real?
Winter cheekily remarked as, Jaune was lost in the beauty of the diamond in his taloned fingers. Her smile fell as she heard the most beautiful ringing sound she had ever heard as he tapped the diamond with his talon before turning to face her.
Jaune: Hear that? Humans can’t here this sound, most faunas can’t hear it either, but I can. Most diamonds are too small to make this an audible sound for most people to hear it. But, this diamond is big enough for anyone to hear it singing. Only a real diamond can make such beautiful sounds.
Willow: It is such a beautiful sound, I had no idea such sounds can come from a diamond.
Jaune: Only a few bare such elegance… Oh I wish I could have this diamond for myself… But alas, I doubt your open to selling it. Are you…?
Willow: If I was… Hypothetically speaking, how much would it be…?!
Jaune: Three billion Lien.
The duo looked at him astonished at the thought that, that diamond was worth, Three Billion Lein. The sense of unquestionable authority as he stated this didn’t make them question the possibility that he was gaslighting them so he could get it for a fraction of the price.
Willow: Oh my… I… I did not expect that…
Jaune: Didn’t you have it graded before?
Willow: Decades ago, and back then it was nearly a billion lien. But, to imagine the price has gone up that much… it’s unbelievable…
Jaune: It would be the worlds most valuable diamond, but that title was taken away from it a few years back.
Winter: Oh really? What took it’s place?
Jaune: This…
As if appearing from thin air, Jaune held out before the duo a diamond; A diamond cut into a sphere with a diameter of five inches across. Winter’s breath was stolen away as, Willow at the beauty presented before her. She carefully took it from him, fearing the validity of the rumours that he would gut her if she touched it. But, it appeared as if he was offering it to her to hold, so she took it.
She was amazed by its hefty weight, as she saw the light sparkle across it surface. She was amazed when her father showed her the, Schnee diamond, but the splendour of this diamond put it to shame so thoroughly she couldn’t find it in herself to complain about it in the slightest.
Willow: The Translucent Apple… Oh she is absolutely gorgeous~!
Winter: You’re the owner of the world’s largest diamond…?! That makes sense because you’re such a gemstone lover… But wait, where did you pull that out from? Do you just keep it hidden on your person at all times.
Jaune: Not in the shower.
Winter: What?!
Willow: It is truly a marvellous diamond. It was an honour to hold it. Winter, do you perhaps?
Winter: Nnnno, no I wouldn’t. If our family’s diamond is worth three billion, it terrifies me to hold something worth…
Jaune: Five billion Lien.
Winter: Five billion Lien… Wait, what really?!
Jaune: I am not considered one of the richest men in the world for nothing.
Winter: Five billion… And, he just has that up his coats sleeves?!
Willow: Well, it was a pleasure, despite the sheer disappointment of it all, no fault upon you, Jaune. I thank you for grading our families diamonds, and other precious stones.
Jaune: My pleasure… If you want, I can set you up with a jeweller from my company. I can confirm whole heartedly their validity as the genuine article.
Willow: I would appreciate that very much. But, there is something I would like to ask you…
Jaune: That being?
Willow: I heard you were offered gemstones as a dowery of sorts… Does that offer still stand?
Jaune’s burning focus of ingraining the beauty of the, Schnee Diamond upon his mind had finally been broken. Not even offering up the, Translucent Apple for, Willow to marvel at had broken his singular concentration of the diamond within his talon fingers. But, that one question broke him from his stupor like a gunshot to the heart. For he knew all to well what the dowery for this proposal would be.
Jaune: A-Are you offering me this diamond for your daughters hand…?
Willow: Indeed I am.
Winter: Mother no!
Winter exclaimed in shock as she looked at her mother as if she had lost her sanity. And, worry as, Jaune eyed the diamond with a new burning intensity trapped deep within the very depths of his soul.
Jaune: This… This is a priceless family heirloom, you wouldn’t simply give it away for me to accept, Weiss’s hand in marriage would you?
Willow: The diamond would still be in the hands of a, Schnee if you married my daughter, so it wouldn’t be lost. And, I never said anything about you marrying, Weiss now did I?
Willow looked to her eldest child with a smile as, Winter’s voice failed her. She was dumbfounded that this conversation had taken such a drastic turn. Was her mother seriously offering up the family’s prized heirloom for her hand in marriage?!
It was unthinkable. That her mother would do this to her on seemingly a whim. It scared her. But, what truly terrified her was the deafening silence that followed as, Jaune looked between her, and the diamond.
At her, and the diamond.
At her, and the diamond.
At her, and the diamond.
And, then at her, and only her.
Winter gulped in fear at the sudden turn her life was about to make.
god now i’m just imagining Blake suddenly realizing and saying “you knew you had to drink the poison”
And Jaune just isn’t able to meet anyone’s eyes
The five sit around a campfire scrounged together from dead brush in an alcove protected from the desert wind. Their conversation is slow, comforting, filled with hushed reassurances and rueful laughter.
With the benefit of distance, of being free, talk eventually turns to Jaune’s missing years. Simple curiousity, simple questions.
He doesn’t answer everything, but every word he says seems to draw some invisible hurt from a wound left festering for too long.
It’s Blake that brings it up.
Of course she is. She was the one to realize they were in a fairytale, the one who reminded them all how to play along with the fantasy while keeping their sanity. Their resident bookworm.
Of course she’s the one who realizes that their friend knew going in that he was probably going to die before the end of “the story.”
“Jaune?” Blake’s voice is quiet, but calm as a pool of water. “You knew, didn’t you?” Weiss can see how her amber eyes narrow, the agitated flick of her ears, but none of her distress is betrayed in her voice.
Which is just as well, because Jaune doesn’t meet any of their eyes, he just watches the fire. The white locks in his hair are stark against the rest, and not for the first time Weiss wonders if they’re a result of age or stress or something worse.
“Not right away,” he replies. And is that better or worse? That it took a little while for him to realize that he’d die before the story’s end, and he still kept to the script? “Before we reached the Red King.”
“Were you… Did you…” Weiss isn’t sure what she wants to ask, or if she even wants an answer. Were you scared? Did you know when it would happen? Were you ready? Did you want it to happen?
“I had to follow the story,” he says eventually, his voice breaking with emotion. Aged beyond his years, and yet still as young as any of them. “I had… It was my role. I couldn’t- I had to-”
“The Rusted Knight drank the poison in her stead,” Ruby says hollowly. “Would you have done it for me?” Jaune’s head shoots up, fast as a bullet, his face a mask as hard as the metal of his helmet.
Blue eyes aged beyond the years of the face they rest in meet silver eyes haunted by death and rebirth. The tension in the air is taut as a bow string, as the two leaders seem to communicate something only they understand.
A chunk of ice the size of her fallen home drops into Weiss’s stomach. The poison. The tea.
If Jaune had been there in time, would he have even hesitated to drink the tea for Ruby? Finally fulfilling his fairytale role? Finally doing something “right?”
Weiss is quite sure that would’ve only ended with BOTH leaders on the verge of ascension, instead of one. Because if Ruby had lost another friend, Weiss is certain that it would’ve pushed her over an edge she would never have returned from.
The desert wind fills the silence.
Jaune’s gaze falls back to the fire. “After the Herbalist, I was desperate to get the story back on track. I would’ve done anything to fix what I broke.”
“Even die?” Yang’s voice is steady as stone, but her hand is shaking in Blake’s grasp.
There are tears dripping down his face. He never processed this, Weiss realizes. He never processed anything, stuck as he was as the only thing changing in a world where everything stayed the same.
“I just wanted to do something right.” His voice sounds like he dropped it on the floor, it shattered, and he kept using it anyway. Cracky in that way it used to in Beacon. Too old and too young.
“I was the Rusted Knight, a paragon of virtue and glory, but I was messing it all up.” As he speaks, his voice gets more frantic, more hitched with tears. “We were at the end, there was no more story left. There was only one thing I could do to make sure they got their happy ending. And- And I-”
“I’m glad you didn’t have to,” Ruby interrupts, her voice choking with tears. I hate that it happened, that she poisoned you, but I’m glad you didn’t have to.” And again, it’s his fellow leader’s voice that draws Jaune out of himself.
But this time he looks like Jaune, all wide eyes and soft edges, not the metal of the Rusted Knight he was protecting himself with before. And Ruby looks like Ruby, older and wiser but with a spark of hope in her teary eyes that Weiss didn’t realize has been missing until they all almost lost it forever.
Ruby stands and walks around the fire, her boots making furrows in the sand, and pulls him into a hug. Jaune blinks, half afraid, half confused.
“It wasn’t your fault.”
Weiss barely hears Ruby murmur this over the crackle of the flames, and whether she’s talking about Penny or Alyx or Pyrrha or Atlas or any number of things that both leaders have blamed themselves for over the years, Weiss doesn’t know.
But what she does know is that when Jaune chokes out a sob and buries his face in Ruby’s hair, and Ruby drops to her knees clings to her best friend like he’s the only thing anchoring her to Remnant, something slots back into place in the universe. Something that fractured almost beyond repair on the shore of a razed village of paper stars.
Jaune’s hair is streaked with white, Ruby’s whole body is shaking with sobs, and Jaune is whispering apologies that Ruby is meeting with her own. But they’re both still here. It feels like healing, or the very start of it.
And maybe Jaune would have drunk the poison for Alyx, but he didn’t get to. And maybe Jaune would have drink the tea for Ruby, but he didn’t get to. The world was full of what-ifs, gods the Ever After probably used as them as damn building blocks.
But what matters is that he didn’t, and that he would never have to.
I love the visual story telling with Weiss and us only getting to see the back of her.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We got it twice last episode anytime someone asked her about what happened after they fell.
Tumblr media
It’s…it’s all gone. There’s nothing left for me to go back to. Just like Beacon.
While Weiss has largely been the comic relief, she also knows she has nothing now. Her original home is gone. Beacon, her other home and place of safety, gone. What is even left for Weiss back on Remnant?
Tumblr media
But it wasn’t enough. We hatched a crazy plan that put a whole kingdom at risk, and we don’t even know if we saved the relics from…
Maybe Jaune and Winter were able to get them out, despite everything…despite us.
I mentioned before I wonder if Weiss has realized it was her wording that caused help not to come back. I think she might be picking up on it if she didn’t. She’s shouldering so much blame for not being able to do enough to stop Cinder or do anything for Penny. The focus on Myrtenaster with her being low on dust, something that is also gone for her when they get back. Another reminder her home, and everything she wanted for her future are gone. Not only did she fail, she feels useless now. What more can she do but be frustrated at the absurdity of their current situation?
It really feels like the camera is not allowing the audience to see Weiss’s shame and sadness and I truly love it.
Jaune Phone Call with Papa Arc.
Tumblr media
Team JNPR Dorm Room.
Jaune: I'm gonna fail this assignment because my dad won't open up.
Ren: Me and Nora going to fail because our parents were killed because of a Grimm attack.
Pyrrha: Wow I didn't knew that Ren. I'm sorry to hear that. And are you doing Nora's homework?
Nora: Fo'sho. What? You expect me to do my own homework? Please think even less of me.
Ren: Look Jaune, back on topic. A lot of people feel more comfortable talking about personal things when it's not face-to-face.
Nora: Maybe you should try calling your dad.
Jaune: I guess it's worth a shot...
*ring* 🎶
Mistralian Restaurant.
Papa Arc: Hello?
Jaune: H-hey dad. What'chu up to?
Papa Arc: Eating lunch. I just needed a break from work you know. Lately I've been thinking about all the people I've had to kill...
God. The first, five, ten times you take a life it's eerie you remember every detail. I can see all their faces. One had a beard. Each time I pulled the trigger I tied a little knot in my memory no amount of whiskey could loosen...
Nora: *Scoots away from the phone call*
Papa Arc: Of course eventually I stopped caring. Now I can put a bullet through a man's head while figuring out how much VFC to pick up on my way home. It's usually no more than a bucket.
Pyrrha: 😱
Papa Arc: The sick part is I've come to love it. Snuffing out lives. I crave it. I feel like an angel of death, the messenger of eternal darkness, a merciless demon with an unquenchable... Oh! They just put more orange chicken on the Buffett gotta run. *phone ended.
Nora: *Hiding under the bed*
JPR: *Stunned in place*
Back in the Dorm Room
Jaune: I can't turn this in. It's all about my dad killing people.
*someone enters into the room*
Yang: What is this about killing people?
Pyrrha: Hey Yang, it's nothing we're trying to finish our assignment.
Weiss: I already finished mine ages ago. What took you guys so long?
Ren: We're trying to get Jaune's dad to talk about what happened during his time, but so far he's being "uncooperative"...
Blake: How is he being "uncooperative?"
Nora: *shivering* You don't want to know....
Ruby: Oh, maybe I can help you with your dad? 🙂
Jaune: *rub Ruby's head* It's okay Ruby. It's my assignment after all. You don't have to do anything to help me.
Ruby: *purr* 😸 (Oh yeah, that's the stuff... Run my head like you own me. 😚)
Ren: Call your dad again and get him to talk about something else.
*ring* 🎶
Papa Arc: Hello?
Jaune: Hey dad.
Papa Arc: Son, glad you called. I was kind of bumming thinking about your mom.
Jaune: W-what, why?
Yang: (Isn't she the hot one?)
Papa Arc: *sigh* I feel like our lovemaking has lost all its intimacy. We're not attuned to each other's love energy, we're just slamming away...
Jaune: Dad! I'm here with the girls on speakerphone.
Blake: (Don't interrupt him! 😾)
Papa Arc: Hey girls! So, Lovemaking sure can turn into sex without you even noticing it. And why not sex with your mom feels great!
*Team RWBY starts circling in to listen closely.*
Papa Arc: It's easy to think, maybe there is love and then there's the performer in me always trying to get your mom turned on.
Weiss: (Scandalous...)
Papa Arc: I pull her hair, choke her lightly or not so lightly.
Ruby: (I wish Jaune will do that to me one day.🥵)
Jaune: Dad! When you were my age. What was the cost of a loaf of bread.
Papa Arc: The focus becomes how hot she gets. How many times I can make her shudder with pleasure.
RWBY: *giggling*
Jaune: Allright this is enough... *gets tackled to the ground*
Ruby: Don't, disturb your dad! 😠 *gag Jaune's mouth*
Jaune: *muffled scream*
Yang: Dad. What do mom boobs look like?
Papa Arc: I'll tell you Yang they're perfect. Creamy, twins with faint blue veins running over them like cooling streams I can wash my face in it...
Yang: Oh that's hot.... *starts rubbing herself.*
Blake: Hmmph! You never get this hot when you're with me...
Yang: Really? Maybe I should change that then... *long sensual kiss*
Tumblr media
So how do you like it my kitty cat?
Blake: ... It's a start. *return kiss*
Ren: Shouldn't we stop this?
Nora: What! No I say we join in and turned it into an orgy.
Ren: Wait, what? *gets mounted by Nora*
Papa Arc: Of course it still wasn't enough for the both of us...
Ruby: So Jaune... Now that everyone are enjoying themselves. Maybe you want to do it with me too? 😊
Jaune: Ruby I...
Pyrrha: You can't! b-because Jaune is mine... *kiss Jaune*
Tumblr media
Ruby: *gasp* (How could Pyrrha NTR Jaune away from me? He's mine I saw him first!😫)
Papa Arc: ... And even then we still weren't satisfied. It got so bad your mom decided to bring another woman into our bed to spice things up, as she puts it. Oh, the looks on your mother's face as I plow the other woman in front of her. Turns out your mom likes to look.
Ruby: (Could that be the solution. Me, Jaune and Pyrrha? I mean I do find the both of them to be extremely hot... Ah, who am I kidding. YOLO.) Pyrrha. Can you let me join with you and Jaune? 😇
Pyrrha: Well since you ask nicely...
Jaune: Wait, what do you mean by that? Pyrrha, Ruby why are the two of you looking at me like that??! No, no, no, stay away!!!
Weiss:
Tumblr media
(No one wants to be with me 😢)
Papa Arc: And that's why Jaune you probably have another half-sibling running around right now... Oh, you having an Orgy in there? Don't let me stop you, son. But do remember to use protection. Unless you want to have an unexpected surprise like me. But seriously use a condom or I will castrate you... Oops. Gotta go Jaune. My egg fooyong is finally here.
Beacon Academy.
Cardin: ... That's why my Dad walked out of his Dad's funeral & I will walk out of my dad's funeral!
Peter: Great presentation Cardin. Now Jaune you're up. Show me your report on your father.
Jaune: I-I'm sorry, Professor Port but my dad wasn't really willing to answer the questions.
Peter: Nonsense young man. I give you an entire week. What were you even doing all those time?
Ruby: More like what haven't we been doing? 🤭
Pyrrha: *giggle* Stop it Ruby, you going to get us into trouble.
Ruby: I can't help it Pyr. So. Same thing tonight? 😉
Pyrrha: Most definitely, we're not going to let Jaune get any sleep tonight. If you know what I mean.
Peter: Why if I don't know any better, I think you are trying to get out of this assignment?
Jaune: Okay. Is that what you think? Okay professor Port here we go.
*Walks up to the front of the class*
Jaune: *click* Hey dad, I'm calling in front of my history class. So who was the councilman when you were a kid?
Papa Arc: Oh, I don't know but I guess I think about killing myself pretty frequently. And why not. What so great about living? You know when I'm happy? For about five seconds when I first wake up. Before I remember who I am and what my life is about. Anxiety, disappointment, diarrhea more often than not. I don't know if there's an afterlife. But who cares. Nothingness couldn't be worse than my meaningless March through my empty days.
Jaune: You see professor Port... Professor Port?
Peter: He's right, it's pointless, Salem will kill us all... Life Dismissed. *jumps through the window*
Tumblr media
Nora: I guess class is over?
