Hi, I love the genre of song that’s “reinterpreted nursery rhyme with dark themes”:
“Humpty Dumpty” by AJR interprets the titular character as repressed.
Lyn Lapid’s “Itsy Bitsy” cleverly uses the original song’s cyclical nature to sing about alcoholism.
“It’s Raining, It’s Pouring” by Anson Seabra sees its narrator experiencing a breakup and rewrites the lines as “it’s raining, it’s pouring, my eyes, oh, they’re stormy.”

You were taking a walk after argument with Kaeya. You fought over the fact that he recently has been ignoring you. You really understood that he had a lot of work in Knights of Favonius but couldn't he at least spend evening with you? And today you discovered that he didn't just had a lot of work but he just spent days in tavern drinking alcohol. You didn't wanted to just go back home so you decided to take a walk and hopefully calm yourself down a little.
The sky was becoming grey but you still didn't wanted to go home... it's not like you were afraid to spend time with him because you always had your serenitea pot but this place just reminded you a bit too much of him...
My eyes turn to rain clouds and I'm tired
It's raining, it's pouring
You were walking through Mondstadt for quite a while now and from grey sky, it started raining... in fact it was raining so much you were about to go to your serenitea pot but you stopped when you couldn't feel rain anymore... you looked up and saw umbrella right above you, and behind you there was someone who you didn't wanted to see...
"There you are... you know how late it is? I was getting worried..."
You honestly couldn't even look at him, when you saw him you immidietly turned around and we're about to enter serenitea pot but your lover stopped you.
"Please, give me a moment to explain myself... I know how bad it looks but I promise that I have a valid reason."
"Alright. But make it quick."
He then sighed in relief and started briefly explained to you all of it. He wasn't actually just choosing tavern and alcohol over you but he had a lot of talks, mainly between 'criminals' there. And today he picked up present for you as his apologies. It was a beautiful necklace with a diamond, he even wanted to buy you a ring by wasn't sure if it won't be too early so be bought this instead.
And I don't wanna leave this bed
And I don't wanna cry but I need you here 'cause I'm a mess
You still wasn't sure about it but he seemed honest and you missed him... so you immidietly hugged him, and be returned the hug just as tight with bit smile on his face.
And that's how you ended cuddled into each other like it's your last time while laying in bed and just relaxing.

What if Leona and MC sang it's raining it's pouring by Anson Seabra while their missing each other on vacation?
Dang this song is rough in the lyrics at least. Poking at Leona’s depressive sleeping habits and hinting at something lost. Honestly would rather work with some more happier songs due to some personal struggles. Sorry to turn this down, but I might have to for my own sanity. Also getting back into school so my free time is very much gone.
