Sword gays showdown, round 2 of bracket one

For Zoro:

Literally training to be the greatest swordsman in the world. Has a special three swords technique (one blade in each hand plus one with the handle held in his teeth). I haven't read the manga or watched the anime but the live action adaptation gives me extremely gay vibes and based on the fandom things I've seen I'm not the only one

bro uses three swords. has one in his mouth. dont ask how the HELL he manages that. one day he will be the worlds greatest swordsman....after he beats the current greatest for both the titles of greatest swordsman and fruitiest swordsman. he's dramatic as FUUUCK like bro what the hell. has homoerotic fights with the local twink like everyday. directionally challenged, can and will get lost in a paper bag, doesnt know left from right...he probably cant read, too. hes too silly ngl

First of all, im in like episode 250 and so far he hasnt been shown attracted to any woman at all during the whole show so far, not even when one changed clothes in the same room as him and this is anime so you know there were other characters with bloody noses and shit. With that out of the way he wields three swords at once [two in his hands, one is his goddamn mouth dude. Its cool af trust me.] When he was little he made a promise to his best friend that he'd be the best swordsman in the world. Later she died in a tragic accident and left her sword which he still uses today. He also carries a cursed sword but he overpowers the curse with a combination of skill and sheer luck. He got stuck in a chimney. While his crewmates sail their ship he takes naps. He learned how to cut through metal by fighting a guy who could turn his body into metal blades. That's metal. He refuses to fight this liberal marine officer because she looks like his childhood best friend and its just understandably really awkward for him. He's autistic. He's a he/him bisexual lesbian. He's a gay man. He's ace/aro. He's whatever you want him to be babey!!

He not only has a sword he has *three* swords. He's absolutely gay there's no way to see this man as straight. Also one time he licked his sword for no reason and that was really funny to me so I had to mention it

Look, this man thinks about three things: Swords, His Captain, and Booze. He’s on a quest to be the worlds greatest swordsman. The Live action has a scene where he declares his undying, unwavering loyalty to his captain WHILE reaffirming his promise to be the worlds greatest swordsman. At this point His dream and his Captain are so intertwined it’s crazy. Man is so sword-y he’s got three of them. When one of his swords broke he carried its empty scabbard until he was able to give it a SWORD FUNERAL. He hears a sword is cursed and takes that as a challenge. He will literally tell his swords off for “bad behavior” when they “act up” due to being straight up cursed. He tests one by throwing it in the air and sticking his arm out to see if it is so blood thirsty and ill tempered that it will cut him. Even though he’s literally the first mate if you ask him what his role is he’s going to answer Swordsman.

He's dedicated his life to two things: becoming the greatest swordsman in the world and his captain, Luffy.

He mastered the three sword style. Its his style. It would've been more swords but he could only fit one sword in each hand and one in his mouth. He wants to be the world's greatest swordsman, a deal he made with his childhood best frenemy (before she died falling down the stairs). He thought he was All That at the start and was almost completely decimated by the actual Worlds Greatest Swordsman. Now, after two years forced training with that guy, he's probably in the top tier no-doubt, and honestly could already be the best but we just don't know for sure yet. Also, did I mention: he's got the whole demon/devil imagery going on at times. And he has absolutely no sense of direction! plus is a total softie when it comes to Chopper and all the children who somehow gravitate towards him. And he loves naps!

One of the guy's main goals in life is to be the best sword fighter and he fights with three swords which I think is telling enough of his skill.

For Sayaka Miki:

my favourite scene is the one where Sayaka turns off all her pain receptors to battle the shadow witch, uncaring of the damage dealt to her body, because what is a body but a decaying vessel you must eventually abandon anyway? that was very depression of her <3 Also there’s that one time (in the rebellion movie) where Sayaka stabs herself on her own sword to release the witch that dwells within her. and then she immediately gets up to fight back to back with her girlfriend. that moment lives rent free in my head. Sayaka is so depression and I love her for it:)

ok im going to do my straw hats sexualities and gender post now so.

luffy - aroace! he doesnt experience any romantic or sexual attraction, but he does make/laugh at sex jokes like a 12 year old boy would. he also doesnt really understand gender so he identifies as a man cuz thats what every one refers to him as but if you used any other pronouns with him he wouldnt correct you. when ivankov was talking about destroying gender norms he thought gender norms was like a really strong pirate tbh. or when bon clay said he was gay and bigender he thought that was like an ethnicity or some shit. if you came out to him he'd be like "oh really? im from dawn island wheres lesbian?"

zoro - unlabled! he has attraction to all genders but hes too lazy to figure out an exact gender its an "i might be bisexual but im too busy sword training to care" kind of thing, he doesnt really care for gender very much, hes amab and identifies as a man but if you used they/them on him he'd be fine. do NOT use she/her though he doesnt like that. hes also demisexual tho! (doesnt experience romantic or sexual attraction with out forming a strong emotional bond)

nami - a lesbian among lesbians. a women lover above all things. she doesnt try to hide it either. she doesnt really care for gender and is very happy with her identity as a women, but she also uses they/them sometimes when shes feeling silly

usopp - gay man. gay as hell. so fucking gay. him and nami are wlw mlm HOSTILITY. he uses all pronouns though, he couldnt really care less honestly

sanji - BISEXUAL. he had a talk w ivankov post time skip and kind of had internalized homophobia/transphobia and was like "all men get attracted to other men but that doesnt make you gay bro." and ivankov had to sit him down and bring the news to him like telling a child santa isnt real. he uses all pronouns.

chopper - likes other reindeer no matter the gender. ask him for his pronouns tho and he'd be like "oh im cis! if you are trans i can get you some testosterone or estrogen shots though!" good doctor

robin - bisexual, couldn't care less about the gender of her partner, she'd love them regardless. shes a trans women! chopper is always delicate with her estrogen shots and gives her fun bandaids in silly shapes and ALWAYS at the same time because one time she mentioned how before she joined the strawhats she would have to go without estrogen for long periods of time and when she did get to use it, it was rushed and she put it in at weird angles

franky - another trans bisexual, round of applause everyone! trans male, when he got hit by that train and started making himself a robot it was his OPPORTUNITY!!!!! his robot body automatically gives him t shots whenever hes due so he doesnt need choppers help until he needs to refill it.

brook - hes bisexual with a fem lean, no care for gender. hes one of those elder gay guys whos like "omg im so happy you get to do this now, we didnt have that when i was young"

jinbe - cishet but SUPER aggresive ally. one of those gay dads that wear rainbow socks around all the time and whenever he sees like pride merch he points to whichever crew member is next to him and is like "do we get this". the answer is always no. hes like a proud dad tbh. if someone said something homophobic around him he'd sit them down and educate them. alternatively if luffy hears someone say something about fishmen he'd just beat them up

okay my brother is a big One Piece fan so I finished the live action with him today and I have thoughts.

Luffy- aroace I see it and I like that.

Ussop - straight friend that on thin ice. Also Luffy's pathetic, regular guy bf. That Luffy makes everyone cheer for when he walks in. That his rule as King of the Pirates or whatever

Nami - not be a lesbian but omg

Zoro - seen both aroace and gay heacanon for him and im like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ why not both. Like only a queer man devotes his life on deathbed like that.

Sanji - bisexual. He is my 2nd fave so he is bisexual. Like my status if you think only bisexual men know how to cook

Being a he/they bitch himself, there’s no way in hell that Law would ever question your pronoun usage and anyone who does is getting their head swapped with their ass

He’s hardly the braggy type though, mostly leaving that to the chorus of his crew to pick on if you ever needed some extra support - of course, not a single one of them would bat an eye at it, either

They do, however, make a concerted effort to use your chosen pronouns more when Law gets a hint that you’re feeling out of it

All just slightly within earshot and casual conversation - once the captain starts, the rest of the crew is sure to follow, too

They don’t mean to be obvious, but the moment the Heart Boys (genderless) are tipped off that you aren’t feeling too hot, you’ll also be accosted here and there throughout your slump to conveniently do all the things you loved or at least enjoyed in their company

Even your partner themself is a little bit more cuddly in private during that crummy self-doubt day or week, not that he’d ever mention it, but that’s neither here nor there

Zoro

Zoro’s a bit (a lot) confused as far as neo pronouns go, but he’s got the spirit

He’s as transmasc as the next feral swordsman you’d find on the Grand Line, but pronouns have never really been a thing that he’s had to put too much thought into (in Zoro’s mossy brain: he/him is typically used for guys, so he’ll use he/him because he’s a guy, easy)

Zoro knows that’s not the case for you, though, so he’ll make adjustments to his vernacular accordingly

He slips up every now and again grammar-wise, using the wrong subject and possessive forms here and there, but it’s nothing that a quick correction can’t fix - he’s always at least a little guiltily pouty too, so you can’t really stay mad at him, honestly

Bragging, though, is an artform that Zoro is clearly familiar with

“In your dreams, Swirly, I’m clearly going to win because ve has my back!” (”Oh? So it’s not your own power then, Mossy?” //insert loud queer squabbling)

“Hmph, its MY boyfriend and it could kick your asses any day!”

“Doesn’t matter, this is vis and cause we’re dating I get half a dibs, ve’s a lot cooler than you all anyway,” (”That’s really not how that works, Zoro”)

A lot of these brags have to do with your power, forgive him, Zoro’s a very simple man-

There’s a very minor learning curve that some of the other Strawhats have to adapt to, too, but again it’s no real issue after the first week or so

Yamato

Yams is your BIGGEST cheerleader, he’ll bulldoze ignorant assholes out of the way for you and howl about how great you are and how much he loves you from the highest rooftop without even asking

He’s 100% supportive of your decisions and won’t stand for anyone who doesn’t (if you don’t want to cause a scene you may have a little trouble holding him back or have to discuss it with him beforehand because Yamato absolutely will call someone out on their bullshit when he sees it)

Sometimes you even get a little flustered or overwhelmed with the intensity and vigor that he supports you (very much the ’guns blazing’ type) but it’s all with an endearing air and the knowledge that Yamato only wants your best interest at heart

- PORTGAS D. ACE IS AZERI THROUGH AND THROUGH!!!!! roger is azeri and so is rouge. land of fire fist ace baby!

- nami is hmong ! she's never really made aware of that since she was adopted as a baby and her birth parents never enter the picture at all

- nojiko names nami after the waves one day. bellemare finds it very sweet

- usopp is angolan

- robin is native! im not sure which particular band or tribe but native north american !!

- sanji is half japanese half french but his genes REALLY favour his french side (tentative! i haven't seen wci at all so i don't know his parents)

- franky is japanese american

- i refuse to believe that sabo is british

- namis top artist is flo mili

- robin knows many many languages! including many of the strawhats native languages so they get the sense she's always listening

- ace, sanji, usopp and franky are trans men! sanji is deeply deeply repressed about it and usopp is gently trying to get him out of his shell about it. meeting ace & franky (who you'd imagine would be very flashy about it) helped a lot

- robin is a trans woman & vivi is a trans girl

- usopp & sanji & robin are bisexual, nami is a lesbian, zoro is gay and franky is a straight guy whose DEFINITELY slept with men "why live life with a hand tied behind your back?"

- luffy is by definition aspec gay but like HELL he knows wtf that means

- robin has cptsd and sanji has ptsd. vibes.

- sunny has a giant bathroom and they all have collective baths there after major fights and the like (think more bathhouse than like. personal bath). this is not just to counter the CANON FACT that LUFFY ZORO BROOK shower ONCE A WEEK. but because that scene post alabasta really was the world to me. also to remedy the fact that sanji is a fucking creep AND to get him to warm up to the idea of being Openly Trans in front of his crew

- also all the fuckin strawhats have seen eachother naked no one cares!! non sexual nudity 4ever

- ivankov is a trans woman and bon clay is some foavour of trans fem ?? genderfluid???

- also instead of sanjis 2 year training being Like That its normal intense training under ivankov and the people of the kingdom. like maybe at first when he washed up they were like. trans woman?? because he has that awkward hang ups and repression around his gender but thats for the OPPOSITE reason. so after an explanation they get the idea and throughout those two years he becomes a lot less hellbent around whatever the hell his gentlemens code is

- BUT THE THING IS... his post ts pervert attitude is literally plot relevant in fishman island so its a fucking nightmare writing it out. maybe the air pressure was wildly different in kamabakka island and he's had a hard time adjusting elsewhere idc.

- kuina is a trans guy and if he lives he would've probably had some crazy beef with his dad/owner of the dojo

- usopp and nami do kpop choreography together

- law of course listens to fucking evanescence and pierce the veil that much is obvious. what he doesnt wnat you to know is that hes also into like. eiffel 65 & darude

- dadans hair is meant to be white but she dyes it with henna and when garp goes grey too she offers to dye it too (he doesn't find it amusing)

ANON I LOVE YOU YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME!!!! I don’t know how to make this a comprehensive story yet so have some headcanons about

~~REVOLUTIONARY COBY!!!~~~

Coby is disgusted by way marines are run

He has a “THIS ISNT JUSTICE” Revelation like in Marineford, but on a smaller scale. He sees how thin Zoro is, from being starved and crucified for saving a young, and how happy the people are now that Axe Hand is gone and is like - this isn’t the justice I wanted.

“I want to catch criminals, not harm innocent people.”

Coby starts thinking about his new companions and thinks Luffy’s rough and luffs feral, but he hasn’t hurt anyone. Axe Hand Morgan and his son have.

So Coby follows Luffy and Zoro into the great unknown.

He’s not entirely sure he wants to be a pirate however. Unlike everyone else he does have a moral compass.

“I don’t think I want to be a pirate.” He says after watching Zoro keep calling Luffy Captain.

“Then be a bounty hunter? Go after whomever you want” – Zoro, who does not give a shit about Coby’s internal crisis, but wants to support him.

⁃Coby: “Huh. Okay”

⁃Cue nights where cobys just thinking about his future as he drifts in the waves with Zoro and Luffy being dumb idiots together and just heading for their dreams

HE doesn’t know if he wants to be a bounty hunter, because how can he tell which bounties are for genuine crimes and which are for people the government wants to kill?

Potential other au lmao coby becomes a bounty hunter

⁃At orange town, he panics at Buggy and hides - he doesn’t know how to fight, but he does get the key from chouchou the dog. He’s helping, in his own way.

⁃Zoro sees this and is like “NO. You need to learn how to fight cmon we’ll teach you.” Like Luffy, he has an aversion to people who cant stand up for themselves, but he likes Coby so he’s gonna help.

⁃So Zoro and Luffy tag team each other and teach coby how to fight. He learns a weird mix of swordsman ship and punching that really don’t go together, but its better than what he had.

⁃In the meantime, Coby keeps on seeing all the places the marines dont reach and keeps losing his faith in the system. He starts wondering why the Marines are hailed as this awesome force when really a lot of the times they just abuse their power or do nothing to help people.

⁃At Syrup, he helps get Kaya to safety with Usopp, still unwilling to fight, but starting to regain his resolve to do something – to reclaim a dream thought lost.

⁃Coby’s disgusted at the Fullbuster guy on the Baratie and punches him.

⁃“YOUR FIRST CRIME!” Luffy says, cheerfully. The chefs applaud. Go Coby.

⁃Now, Coby isn’t advancing as fast in training, because one, luffy and zoro (and Sanji, eventually) aren’t Garp, and two, he doesn’t have that drive anymore. Why does he want to be a Marine who punishes justice?

⁃But when Arlong shows up Coby figures out his new dream. He knows what he is going to do.

⁃“I’m gonna take down the Marines - they can’t be this corrupt forever, and how many people are just innocent people? I want to give the world justice again!”

Luffy doesn’t really care about anybody else, innocent or not, unless his crew cares, but Coby cares. He’s not a pirate, but maybe if the law isn’t right, being free to do as he wish shouldn’t incriminate him?

⁃THEN the Strawhats run into Vivi and Chopper and suddenly there are more caring people like him, and more evidence that the system is corrupt which he already knows but how can he change it. He’s able to fight off some men now, and helps fight off some of Wapols men and the Whiskey Peak people, but that isn’t enough.

⁃All his friends have goals that seem impossible but they are so sure they alone are going to reach it, even without the crew there. Coby doesn’t feel like he can do the same.

⁃But hen theres alabasta - He’s stronger now, can through a punch, hes more lean with more muscle. He helps fight, and maybe it doesn’t do much, maybe the man (Luffy) who opened his eyes to the world is still there bleeding out, but he did something.

⁃And Ace and Robin have a hint for him, for his dream.

⁃(Who is this, Ace asks, referring to Coby. He has no role on the ship, but Luffy is proud to call him my friend, and say he wants to change the world for the better. To bring back what Justice really is. Ace cringes at the thoughhht of Garp but hums, and says theres a group of people who will do that – The Revolutionaries. Look for them, Ace says, and leaves. They will help you)

⁃(Robin, who knows all, tells him about Dragon unknown in the East Blue, his home, buth the most wanted man elsewhere. He has a plan, to take down the World Government, and perhaps Coby can find equal footing.)

⁃The Revolutionaries - Dragon, Luffy’s father.

⁃Coby has a goal now.

⁃He doesn’t want to say goodbye to the Strawhats, but he does, taking a boat lent to him by Vivi, and setting off to find the Revolutionaries. Pirates don’t care about fair fights and Justice, but Coby does, and the Revolutionaries do. His dream will grow there, but he will always be an honorary crew member of the Straw Hat Pirates (the first in some stories).

⁃At sea he runs into Helmeppo, whose drifting at sea stranded due to the marines, and helps him. They bond, and Helmeppo has done a little growth in character as well, and decides to follow Coby, much like Coby decided to follow Luffy.

⁃They run into Garp who is losing faith in the new generation and believes that maybe his son is right, gives them a few fists of training after asking about his grandson, and goes on his way.

⁃They save a town or two

⁃Coby punches several people in the face.

⁃Still no sign of the revolutionaries, but they have heard things from the grape vine that a pirate ship has fallen out of the sky into a navy base. Coby assumes at least Luffy is doing fine.

⁃Finally they run into - guess who – Sabo, on a information recovery mission, which Coby helps with. He questions them at first and learns their story.

⁃And knocks himself the fuck out when Coby says “Ace” “Luffy” and “Brothers”

⁃“OH SHIT THEY ARE GOING TO KILL ME” - sabo,after waking up, to a confused Coby and then profusely thanking him.

⁃Sabo agrees to let Coby and helmeppo into the Revolutionaries and trains them (wow Coby’s been trained by a lot of ppl at this point) if Coby helps him find Luffy and Ace.

⁃CUE WILD GOOSE CHASE WHICH ENTAILS COBY BECOMING THE HERO OF THE REVOLUTION just like Garp is the hero of the marines!! They just fight ppl but instead of in the name of becoming the pirate king, its for REVOLUTION and JUSTICE because Coby has a working moral compass.

⁃Coby develops new moves combining all that he’s been taught into a rather weird fighting style with a mix of weapons and martial arts. He gets a bounty, and it’s the worst day of his entire life and also the best. He can’t decide, Helmeppo Sabo and Koala (whom he met when Sabo had to explain why he wasn’t on his mission) laugh at him.

⁃Then Sabo runs into Ace, ands that reunion goes as well as you would expect, but that not the important thing, because its still not enough to not send Ace to Marineford. But they don’t know this. Yet.

⁃Sabo and Ace both get news about Ennies Lobby at the same time. Coby, when Luffy mentions knowing Coby to his visiting grandfather, receives a shudder down his spine as if he has narrowly avoided a horrible fate.

⁃But its whatever. Sabo contacts Dragon and plans to meet with him and Luffy at Sabaody, to keep an eye on the Supernovas and let Sabao and Coby see Luffy again.

⁃They never get a chance, as the Strawhat Pirates have disappeared by the time they arrive… and Ace is on the execution block.

⁃Sabo has to go save him and drags Coby along for the ride, who eagerly awaits the opportunity to THROW DOWN SOME MARINES

⁃Luffy still goes through Impel down and all that, but Sabo and Coby still arrive late to the battle.

⁃You know how Sabo saves Luffy and Ace in that one excerpt? Cue coby punching akainu in the face for trying to hurt his friends then dodging the hell outta there as sabo saves ace and luffy.

⁃He Learns his haki! Is like oh shit my crush is gonna die, better do some shit about that! The haki allows him to actually stop Akainu for a second, and stop the fighting, as he attempts to question the people – is this what justice is?

⁃Coby meets trafalagr law and also buggy again. He isn’t afraid anymore, and doesn’t hide. People are quietly proud.

⁃Luffy gets saved and ASL reunion happens.

⁃Luffy decides to train, and tries to get coby to come along with him.

⁃Coby Is just frustrated because he has a moral compass and Luffy is just here saying he’s now best friends with corrupt war lords and the pirate kings right hand man, who is a cool dude, but why luffy, coby is hurt, please stop punching people because you feel like it.

⁃(Coby’s just putting on appearances)

⁃HEs just a good boy who wants to tear down corrupt systems why do you make friends with criminals luffy why do you hurt coby like this

After leaving Luffy to train and after helping him due his oxbell thing, he leaves with sabo to FINALLY MEET DRAGON

He goes through his own two year training with helpmeppo who is along for the ride. Who Coby has now decided is stuck with him for life.

Training is hell, because Coby wants to find his own fighting style which means a lot of different stuff and seeing what works best and it HURTS

13. Unpopular opinion about XXX character?

let me pick.... hm, ah, i got it. i actually like to hc nami and zoro as bi, except nami is 99.9999% gay and zoro is 95% gay. this is mostly bc i ship them together but in such a way that they both realize that they’re mostly gay and become gay best friends instead. i also lowkey like zotash, so yeah. meanwhile sanji is like 65% straight, but also bi. im just a big ol bi lmao.

for other sexuality hcs, just for fun, luffy is ace (but still does the do sometimes bc he likes to see their reactions), usopp is bi and 60% female leaning, chopper is a precious bean who likes milky and that’s it, robin is full bi, franky is probably pan, and brook is also ace!

19. What is the one thing you hate most about your fandom?

HM well some things the peeve me are people who don’t understand that oda needs breaks (more casual fans), people obsessed with power scaling (it’s fun but don’t get too worried about it), and people who get the characterizations way off (eg full gay sanji, because he’d at least be really conflicted about it until he got over his homophobia).

but actually, i kinda don’t like it when people tear too much into oda’s style in drawing women lol. DEFINITELY agree that he needs to vary his designs more, but he’s been doing pretty good lately in wci and wano! yeah there’s still standard sexy body type, but well, stylistically it’s really appealing, and the circle circle x thing... i mean... he’s not completely wrong about it LMAO. the man needs to draw quickly, yaknow! the anime is way worse about the big boobs and nonexistent waist issue, but oda is not terrible. i guess it’s a case of the, as a feminist i am offended but as a bi i am delighted ;) but i do think oda should be more creative and augh his same face syndrome is pretty bad for his women lmao.

i also respect that he is a dude who just genuinely draws what he wants to. he likes hot ladies, so he draws hot ladies (and guys!) as an artist, i too want the creative freedom to just draw whatever i want.

heyo ive decided its time for me to catch up on the one piece manga finally!! i last read it uhhh sometime late 2018?? MAYBE early 2019....anyways ill be liveblogging it, basically for myself but if anyone is interested then enjoy lol

so w.out further ado hers 927-931 hya

uh ok i left off kinda in the middle of the wano arc, so im scanning thru some stuff to see what i remember.....i dont really remember what the deal is with that ginger (?) pompadour guy lmao. theres a lot of new characters and intricate politics in this arc from what i remember.

i havent really gotten spoiled for anything....i know that something bad happens to kid & killer, somethins up w/sabo (but we dont know what), luffy fights kaido (more than once i think?) uhhhhh we get roger flashbacks and hear the yonkous bounties....thats abt all i really know. so im hype to find out what else has gone on....

im gonna start around 927, i defs read this but i want a refresher

i recommend it because, primarily, i need friends to talk about my hyperfixation to - but also because it’s genuinely a great series in my opinion. it has its flaws, but overall i really love danganronpa !

when I started shipping it if I did: i can’t really pinpoint the exact moment, since back when i first started watching and then reading one piece i was too busy trying to catch up as fast as possible to pay attention to shipping, and then one day i saw a fanart somewhere on tumblr and it just instantly clicked.

my thoughts: YALL. LISTEN. OKAY SO REMEMBER WAY BACK WHEN THEY FIRST MET AND ZORO TOLD LUFFY (paraphrasing here) “if you get in the way of my ambition i’ll cut you down” OR SOMETHING EDGY LIKE THAT, THIS MAN WENT FROM THAT TO “if you get in the way of my ambition that’s totally fine lmao lemme die for you real quick, xoxo” IN A FUCKING DAY AND A HALF. LIKE???? LIKE????? YOU GUYS????????? THIS RELATIONSHIP DEVELOPMENT??????????????and okay so it’s been Established™ that zoro is Very Gay for luffy (i will fite u if you argue this with me) but yall. zoro was literally the actual beginning of luffy’s crew, he was the start of luffy’s journey and if you don’t think that’s beautiful there’s something wrong with you, zoro is the first part of the foundation to luffy being able to achieve his dream, he’s the first pillar, im sobbing yall, im getting so emotional, this ship is so good.

when I started shipping it if I did: it was definitely punk hazard. like with ZoLu it wasn’t until i was fully caught up that i started paying attention to ships, and by that time we just about hit punk hazard in manga and i couldn’t resist.

my thoughts: as i mentioned in an earlier post, the way law’s impressions in regards to luffy develop from the first time they meet all the way to dressrosa is just so good, like law fought it every step of the goddamn way but luffy was like “nah we’re married now” and that’s fucking that, they’re stuck with each other forever. it’s so weird because when i started this series i was so convinced i would never ship luffy with anyone but he just has to go and attract all these edgy softies with his absurd willingness to LITERALLY DIE FOR THEM, you tell this kid you want an alliance and if he likes you enough he will fight the whole world for you, i’m so. ugh.

What makes me happy about them: grumpy tol and sunny smol. law being dragged kicking and screaming into falling in love. luffy giving exactly 0 shits for his inhibitions and shattering his Edgelord image with brutal honesty. i can already see them 10 years later, you know that meme of a married couple that goes “aww you had a crush on me? that’s so embarrassing”, except the LawLu version would be:“tell me again how you had a crush on me when we were younger” “I HAD NO SUCH THING” “law, we’ve been married for ten years” “IT’S A PIRATE ALLIANCE–” “WE HAD A FUCKING WEDDING”

What makes me sad about them: THEY ARE PERFECT.
