Okay so let’s talk about dramatic irony.
Colin’s big Flaw right now is his inability to be himself. This impacts his relationships with team members and also his football playing.
Ted’s speech from a few eps ago where he says “without shame” and the camera focuses on colin? that is where this flaw ties in with his growth as a football player.
We have seen colin make mildly homophobic remarks in the locker room “okay i’ll fuck zava”.
We have seen moments like this increasingly this season as the audience becomes aware of his sexual orientation.
This provides the audience with dramatic irony. The irony is that we know he is saying this to hide as a gay man but the characters in the scene do not.
We also know that what colin is doing is harmful to him. but he is unable to see that. all he is able to do is protect himself.
This episode is the first time (iirc) that we see him say something misogynistic instead of homophobic.
“i know what i’m doing this weekend”
to colin, this is not different. To most of the other players, this is not different.
To us, the audience, this is worse than what he was doing before. He is no longer weaponising homophobia (something he is a victim of) but misogyny (which he is not). you might argue that isnt worse but personally it rubbed me the wrong way and i think a lot of people would agree.
Importantly, some of the players on the team are also opposed to this misogyny.
At this point colin stops joking, and starts defending his real opinion (he shouldn’t have to delete his personal files just because they might be leaked).
This is an issue that some members of the team have beliefs about.
Jamie, Sam, and Isaac, stand up for women by making it clear that keeping nudes when there is a high risk of leaking is not okay.
But colin has skin in this game. Usually, he is never “real” in conversations like this. But this time things are different. He wants to keep the photos.
we see him defend this position by mentioning “memories.” this shows us that his desire is not lustful but sentimental in nature. i’ve seen others point out that this is a facet of his identity (that he is unable to outwardly express!). The photos mean something to him and he is angry at the idea that he is doing something wrong by keeping them.
I don’t think we have ever seen him defend an opinion genuinely before as the audience? In s1 he was pretty much trying to impress jamie. there was one comment about welsh pride but that came across as a joke. (Ted lasso writers make colin more welsh challenge)
And the first time he breaks his facade, the first time he shows his real face, he gets outed.
If he hadn’t cared about the photos he would have stopped arguing, stayed quiet and nodded along. made a joke maybe. something we’ve seen him do many times before. but he was honest about his opinions, so isaac was able to tell he hadn’t deleted anything when everyone else was.
SO: dramatic irony.
The audience knows that he wasn’t being serious with his first comment. “I know what I’m doing this weekend”
We know that that was a joke meant to act as a hyper-masc, homophobic, misogynistic shield in order to disguise his true self.
But the rest of the team do not know that. Issac does not know that. He has probably been making “jokes” like this, off camera, for years.
He leaps straight from a joke about masturbating to leaked nudes, to defending keeping photos that he knows there is a risk of leaking.
We, as the audience, know that he only wants to keep photos.
But Isaac thinks he might as well be defending the leak.
When Colin says “fuck off” to Isaac, he prompts him to take his phone. Isaac is acting the responsible team captain, here.
From what information he has, it just seems like colin is completely out of line. He’s defending misigyny, probably risking the safety and privacy of multiple women, being uncharacteristically rude and angry about it.
He probably has to deal with toxic behaviour from team members all the time. His own captaincy has been a source of growth for him, from the bully he used to be, to someone who tries to make sure everyone is behaving respectfully and as a team.
In any other situation I would want him to take the phone and delete the photos.
But he didn’t know that Colin also needed privacy. And colin was unable to express that to him as someone who is desperately hiding parts of himself.
So Isaac takes the phone.
I think this all explains Isaac’s reaction. Confusion, nods, leaves.
He is confused because he is learning that this interaction is absolutely not what he thought it was. He nods because he accepts that, bc it’s a totally different situation than he thought, he doesn’t need to delete the photos. then he leaves, because what else is he supposed to do.
And colin is left knowing that his slip-up (the first time we see him express a sincere and deeply held emotion in front of the team) caused the very thing he was so afraid of happening.
EDIT: oh also the irony of how isaac invades colins privacy while trying to protect other people’s because he doesn’t think of colin as someone who needs privacy from him. I allude to that but i meant to make is clearer. EDIT 2: corrected spelling of isaac

Its early October,you know what that means, its Halloween time
The time where the vail between the spiritual world and the living is the thinnest
You and tooth usually celebrate together,she does get more work during hallowing because of all the candy but she spends the most of her time with you
She helps you hang up the decorations and spread the Halloween feels
However you havnt done that yet,not only that but you dont have that much time left you only have a month
Once tooth realizes that somethings wrong she'll immidatly do ask the other guardians if they had seen you or if they had heard something from you,the results all come back the same,you were seemingly no where
She decided to check the globe,that could have a clue right?
That's when she noticed there were many less lights then usual,and that when it started to line up..
People were forgetting about you.
The last time you had spoke before going radio silent you had mentioned that it wasnt even October and people were advertising Christmas things
She had realised that you had probally hid yourself away becuase of this
When she does eventually find you shes understandable very worried for you.
After she gets a thorough explanation she'll waste no time in helping you with preparations
However first off,she has to get you in the Halloween mood,as your current one is rather sour,and we cant have that!
She cheers you up by bringing you around and showing you places that are getting ready for Halloween
She brings you to see a small shop that has cobwebs,spiders,skeletons,ghosts the whole lot,she smiles as she sees a small one form on your lips
She then brings you to stores as parents and kids are choosing out pumpkins,baskets,sweets and costumes
When a smile finally Grace's your lips she hugs you tightly and tugs with her to get more decorations up and around
She understands what it feels like to be forgotten and she dosnt want that to happen to you
Bunnymund/Easter bunny
Hes used to people neglecting his holidays for others
But hes surprised when there seems to be lesser lights on the globe
Things line up really quickly in his head as the cogs start working
He dosnt waste a second,immediately searching for you in fear you've disappeared
Once he finds you he tries to calm you down reassuring you that aslong as hes there he wont let you disappear
He even decorates Easter island with some Halloween decorations
He gives you Halloween styled eggs as a way to cheer you up
He will decorate pumpkins with you aswell
since halloween takes place in fall he might take you to forests where the leaves have turned orange and are starting to fall
he will help you decorate places and even though hes not the biggest sweet tooth,with a big oof bribery im sure he'll try a sweet oor two
he'll constantly be there and comforting you
easter isnt all ways widley celebrated so hes probally had a fear of fading aswell
he wont ever say it but due to the fact that your holidays is overlooked in favour for christmas,he holds a small grudge
he knows its not norths fault but hes just salty
Jack frost
Honestly hes kind of tone deaf
hes very happy go lucky and isnt used or very good at adapting to change
id like to think that he was quite close to you even before becoming a guardian,because halloween is in the colder months of the year
it might take another guardian to point out your abscents or off behaviour
however just because hes abit tone deaf dosnt mean hes not smart
once its been pointed out to him hes going on a man hunt for you
altough he wasnt in an entirely similar situation,he still knows what its like to feel isolated,scared and alone,and as his S/o he dosnt want yuo feeling the same
once locating you the first thing he'll do is make sure your not fading away
if you are then he will moost likely panic
he will eventually calm himself down,realising that panicing wont help it at all
his first priorety is to make sure that your ok
mentally and physically
afterwards he takes you to do things to take it off your mind
some of his favorite things to do are skating and carving pumpkins,if your not good at either he'll help you
he loves decorating everywhere with fun decorations
his favorite halloween decore are those door bells that grab youor finger or smth(i hate those things with a passion,so i can imagine him loving them)
north/santa claus

he has to keep a keen eye on the months and probally realise that its your holliday
his first reaction is to celebrate your holiday with you,he feels alot like a father figure to you and as such he feels he needs to celebrate your holiday with you
though the smile on his face dosnt stay long as he finds that many stores,instead of having halloween decoration.have christmas things

at first he thinks it might just be the store,and so he checks others
thats until he becomes aware that its most stores
why are they all decroated with christmas decore,they should be deced out with sceletons and pumpkins
not snowmen and gingerbreadmen
after coming to this realisation he checks the globe before visiting you#
he gets quite anxxious once checking the globe
hes quick to find and omfort you,hes quite furious people are neglecting your holiday for his.christmas is still months away!
after calming you down he will go ALL OUT on halloween decorations,the north pole dosnt even look like what it once was,white robes with dark circles are hanging around the celeing,skeletons have been placed everywhere in different positions,fake spiders and fake spider webs have been thrown enywhere they can.
all the elves and yeti's take a day off,to decorate pumpkins.
he'll probaly also reach out to the other guardians,inviting them all over so you can all celebrate together.<3
sandy/sandman
sandy is very intune with the going oon in the world,aswell as being extremly intuitive
hes probally seen this coming though he didnt think itd be to such an extent where it'd cause you distress
after feeling a particullary cold gust of autaum wind its clear something is wrong
after checking the globe it seems that his hypthesis had become reality
he wasnt very surprised since he had a nagging feeling it'd happen,apart of him thinks that he might have just been denieing that you had the possibility to fade,that he was in denial
either way he had to push his own thoughts away as he had more importtant things to do,such as comforting you and restoring your holiday to its former glory,or at least try to.
after locating you hes quick to alert you of his precents though he may not be the best at calming you down since,he cant really speak.
hes most likely to put you to sleep and give you good dreams whilst brainstorming ideas to help your current dilema
once your awake and calm,he'll try his best to relay his ideas and help you
cutting pumpkins is a must
he will try his best to make candy with you
if you ever need some comfort just say the word and hes hugging you and trying his best to comfort you
he makes sure you have good dreams for days
he promises that he'll try his best to help you
he'll be dammed if he ever didnt go through with that promise to you.
the other guardians will most likely notice both of your distress and end up helpping,either that or sandy asks them directly.

do yall ever think about how duck has a very obvious bias towards red guy that he doesn’t have for anyone else? duck was following along with the electricity thing until red guy was like “hey youre not plugged in” and then duck IMMEDIATELY agreed with him. duck is a very selfish character and always thinks that he (and only he) is right about everything, but this doesnt apply to red guy for some reason. red guy is the only person duck will ever hear out. even when duck disagrees with him he isnt as harsh on red guy as he would be to anyone else. in the transport episode for example, duck very much DID NOT want to go anywhere. he argued, sure, but in the end he let red guy use the car with him in it. duck would not do that shit for anyone else. if anyone else was driving that car and he didnt want to go, he would be shattering windows to get out. duck doesnt do things that he doesnt want to do, unless its for red guy, and then hes angry about it but he does it anyway. is he annoying about it? yes. but he still let red guy drive him. and that says a lot about how biased he is.
my favorite example of this is in the friendship episode when red guy says “you said you weren’t going to talk to him like that anymore” which implies that at some point, DUCK, THE BIGGEST STUBBORN ASS ON THE PLANET, had a discussion with red guy and agreed to not make fun of yellow guy anymore. did he follow through? no, but just the fact that he agreed in the first place is astounding. he wouldnt do that for anyone but red guy. and then later he says “dont turn on me” in response to red guy scolding him which isnt very relevant i just think its really funny. theyre a gayass old married couple but i digress
anyway, i think its interesting that red guy makes duck a slightly better person. red guy isnt a good person either but hes on the better end compared to duck and sometimes he drags duck up to his level. red guy might be a bit of an ass but hes easily redeemable, and by slightly bettering duck, he doesnt make duck a good person, but he does make duck more redeemable. basically he gets duck closer to being a good person.
i like the reflection of this too, because duck makes red guy an even worse person. red guy is also very easily swayed by duck. sometimes he’ll scold duck into being slightly better, but sometimes duck will persuade him into being worse, and it all depends on how theyre feeling in the moment. the biggest example of this is in the bigger boys room. the red guy we usually see would normally discourage duck from torturing the little blob thing, and even if our duck might not be against it, hed be less inclined to go along with it if red guy disagreed. however both of the big boys could not care less, theyre bored and have nothing to do but jab shit into their experiment thing. red guy doesnt care what duck does anymore. and dont get me wrong, saying its ducks fault that red guy became like this is taking away his responsibility. red guy became like this because he was already heading down that path himself. but i think its interesting that depending on whos persuading the other, they either get better or worse. it shows how theres good and bad in both of them. they effect eachother more than people think, and they probably dont even realize it.

"mi vida, please! i told you im sorry. it was only for show, you know that!" miguel said, wrapping his arms around her waist as he places his chin on her shoulder while she was cooking dinner
"i didnt know that i dated a celebrity and not a hero then" you coldly said, turning off the stove and getting only one plate "i already ate dinner, eat without me" you said
but she hates it when someone is eating by themselves miguel thought to himself with a pout. he messed up, big time.
"mi vida, por favor" miguel said, shooting a web at her wrist to prevent her from leaving "im sorry, its my fault. i should have known better than to enjoy the kiss" miguel said, hugging his girlfriend tight
"i only like your kisses" miguel said as he snuck a quick peck on her cheek "maybe this isnt going to work, miguel. between the two of us" she said
this made miguel look at her with sad and torn eyes, "mi amor? im sorry if i was a bit overboard today, i understand my mistakes and i promise to correct them." miguel said, looking into your eyes with nothing but honesty as he holds both of your hands in his
"i know what i did was an ass mistake, and i understand if youre mad. but mi corazon, dont give up on us. i promise ill be better next time, ill know my limits" he said, his hands releasing from yours as he transfers then into your face, cupping it with his huge hands.
he gives you a quick peck on the nose and smiled "i love you, 3000" he said "please forgive me, lets work this out, i dont want us to end'

Leo:
Realizes something's wrong when he gets to know you a bit better. He's very observant whether he's aware of it or not. Notices those small things like checking yourself out on your phone screen or fixing your makeup even if you're at home.(If its on your face)
He sees it all. When you pull your sleeve down just enough to cover your palms,avoiding to wear shorts or anything showing your legs and changing immediately once they arrive at your place (if its on your body)
Puts off comforting you about it for a while. He has feelings for you and wouldnt risk putting you in an uncomfortable situation by asking something that he thinks isnt his bussines.
Over time that worrying builds up in his mind,which isn't suprising since his thoughts about it consider only the worse.What if somethings going on but you don't want to tell them because youre scared how they'll react?What if another person inflicted that scar on you?What if its more?
Once he decides to confront you about it he does it in privacy of your apartment or his room.He wont specifically ask you to come to his room or ask to meet up alone just so he could ask you,but if you're already in that position he might as well go for it.
Depending on the way you got the scar and what you choose to tell him,his reaction might differ a bit in a sense od what his thoughts are on the whole situation.
Carries a gentle approach before you even start talking about it. Makes sure you know that you can tell him everything and that he wont judge you the slightest.You his crush afterall,he loves you deeply and is trying his utter best to make you feel loved without revealing that he loves you back(at least not too much,hes bad at keeping this kind of thing a secret)
That reassurance goes far beyong just that moment.If he ever notices you starting to cover it up or checking if other people can see it he just takes in your hand and shoots you that comforfing look in his eyes(you know what I mean) that could make the worst pain feel so much better.
After that, he realizes that it doesnt matter if you return his feelings(how could you not tho?).He loves you and his first priority as that youre feeling safe being yourself around him and seeing him as someone you can trust,just like how he trusts you.
Raph:
Takes a bit more to notice whats actually going on.Its not that he doesn't care about you,it's just that to him its far much more important how you two get along and interact whit each other than what you might consider "imperfection" in your appearance.
Brushes off you hiding it a couple of times until it builds up over time that he can't help but not notice.That repeated action of pulling your sleeves downward/checking yourself in a tiny mirror started annoying the hell out of him.
It's not the act itself that's getting on his nerves but rather the feeling like you don't think of him like someone who can understand you and what you're feeling.Sure,he can act like a big brute sometimes,but he still likes to think that you're close enough to share stuff with each other.
Asks you in a middle of a conversation what's going on with you hiding your scar. Sure,to you it may seem like he asked you out of the blue, but really hes been planing about asking you a week prior but has never gotten the chance.
You were talking about anything and everything, making jokes, confessing some of the embarassing shit you've done before meeting, laughing at the previously mentioned jokes. The atmosphere was good so he thought it would be a good idea to ask you while you're still in a good mood.
Regrets his decision when you go awfully quiet. Wasnt prepared for it to go this way and doesnt know what to do at the moment. Starts tripping over his words as to break the silence,but somehow makes it more uncomfortable.
After a good minute of kinda stuttering and getting frustrated, he just gives up and says whats on his mind in the most simple way he can. That includes something in the lines of "Look, I really care about you and I wish you could trust me to accept you as who you are just like you accept me."
If you were unsure if he likes you up to that point,now you know for sure what he thinks about you(all the nice stuff ofc). This leads you to becoming more aloof about covering it up and possibly being less insecure about it.
Donnie:
Noticed it casually,took a note of it in his mind and forgot it later. Think like "Oh they have a scar, alright nice". He remebers it and acknowledges it but doesn't mention it since he doesnt see it as a deal-breaker.
Starts thinking about it more when he remembers it during one of his brain storms where he just gets a rush of a thousand diffrent things at once.Has a one sided 10 minute conversation with himself about how he should go about this.
He's not sure what approach he should go with so he starts noting down your behavior as to decide the proper action he should take. Do you seem to hate it or just dislike it? Are you actively hiding it or just covering it up? Depending on the answers it might go two ways:
If you seem to really dislike it and are very insecure about it he will take a slower approach,waiting for you two to get close before he does anything drastic. He wants for you to feel comfortable sharing a sensitive topic with him and openly discussing it together.
Waits for the perfect situation which is most likely when you're both alone, most likely in his room, and slowely eases into a casual conversation with you talking about usual topics or just how has your day been.
He takes the moment after a good laugh when your both relaxed to simply spit it out. Regrets it the moment he notices your eyes get glassy after theyve lost their spark and you no longer seem to be in as happy mood.
Speed-talks about he didn't mean to make you uncomfortable and just wants you to trust him enough to discuss it with him and how you still dont have to if you don't want to. Stops and realizes his distress is putting you in a worse space then it was before.
Sits you on his bed and tells you that you can open up if you want but that he's not gonna force you. In the end you decide to talk to him because you can see his genuine concern.Reassures you the whole time that you're beautiful both inside and out.
That night can end in two ways: a) Both of you hugging it out and parting your ways or(the nicer option) b) accidentally falling asleep(since the tots have a messed up schedule) on his bed while he admires you and later goes out to finish some project being very proud of himself.
Mikey:
Notices within the first month of knowing you and asks right away. Chances are, you two hang out a lot once he realises you're his crush (which is like a moment after he met you) and because of that same reason he becomes very observant.
There isnt much thought behind his question, just curiosity. He would gladly answer all your questions (unless godly uncomfortable, but chances are low) and wants you to answer his. Hes not going to force you if you're uncomfortable and will regret asking it later when his alone.
Doesn't like the fact that he made you not feel comfortable and just a second after will assure you that you dont have to answer and that he just thought it was cool. Secretly hopes that you will choose to answer 'cause you're his crush and he wants you to be able to trust him.
Listens carefully while sitting across from you with a hand on your shoulder, all while nodding his head. He understand everything and is glad you choose to trust him with something you didnt like about yourself.
As of what he thinks about your scar, he finds it very intresting. He has a lot of his own, some that he doesnt think flatter his looks, but will proudly show them to you and run his mouth about how he got it and where he got it.
Loves listening to your stories too! Not just about that one certain scar, but any other scars you might posses. Sees it as some very intresting bonding time and will initiate it after the whole situation
Considers that youve gotten closer after that inciddent. The thing that matters the most to him is you and the friendship and possible relationship that could bloom within you two. Boys head over heals, and youll be abble to see it by the way he acts around you.

How did Venomous Naruto get so much longer so quickly?!?
Yes! Wave is a Probation, only in this case Sasuke doesn't try to save Naruto and he doesn't do the folding big Shuriken thing against Zabuza with Naruto, causing both Kakashi and Naruto to get hurt a lot. After the Ice Mirrior Dome breaks, where Sasuke has been put in a death like state anyway, Sakura crys over his body and starts yelling at Naruto who is visibly bleeding but still standing saying it should be Naruto who is dead instead.
Sakura loses her ability to ever be a shinobi after the Wave mission and Sasuke is going back to the academy until Naruto makes Chunnin, when Oro/the Sannin will take over his training and Kakashi can train Sasuke on a new team, but if Sasuke still fails the team test he is a Forever Genin apprenticed to Kakashi to master his Sharingan.
Because it lives in my head rent free and I have not been able to think of anything other than this sunshine boy with fangs and only a few bites keeping him from taking out his enemies.
Tbh I might split the au at the formation/first test of Team Seven because I love both ideas so much. And with it being the size it is already an au of an au isnt that bad.

But absolutely I love that. Naruto tries to get Sasuke to work with him but he yet again doesn’t which means that he has to find a different way to save Kakashi only to get what would be a sure kill blow on anyone else but instead Awakens The Demon™️ and Naru stomps Zabuza into the fucking ground fox style until Haku pulls him out of there. Naruto hits the ground having lost a lot of blood and severely chakra depleted because demon. Kakashi very nearly fucking drowned and also took a fair number of hits that could have been avoided. Still as hurt as he is he doesn’t trust either Sasuke or Sakura to carry Naruto so the rest of the trip to wave is spent with a very obviously injured Kakashi carrying Naruto while Tazuna looks between Team Seven like “oh shit not only am I going to die but at least one of these kids is going to as well.”
Naruto kind of wakes up that first night actually in wave enough to show that he’s clearly scared and just barely keeping it together because he’s not in a safe enough place to break yet. Kakashi gets some food into him before he passes back out then drags his other little genin out for the lecture to end all lectures.
He tells them if he thought he could safely get them all back to the village right now they would be abandoning this mission and going the fuck home immediately. He tells them that they nearly got two of their teammates killed by refusing to grow up and work together. He tells then that anyone who wasn’t Naruto that got those injuries would have died and if if Kakashi had been able to get out of the water prison on his own without drowning they still would have been returning home with a dead child in tow. He tells them that if they can’t get their shit together before the mission ends he’s sending their asses back to the academy because if they’re going to keep acting like children on the field they should be with the children where they can’t get someone killed.
He sends them to bed, as far away from where Naruto is sleeping off his chakra exhaustion as he can considering the size of the house they’re sharing. Tazuna at least seems to understand as he rearranges some things to make sure Kakashi has easy access to all of his students even with the added distance. He thinks that will be the end of it.
For any usual Shinobi graduate it would be the end of it. A dressing down of that severity from a commanding officer in the field and a very real threat that their careers would be back to square one in the most humiliating of ways? That should be enough to get through the thickest of skulls to drive home the point that what they did was wrong and should never ever be repeated.
Only it is.
Only when he’s facing off with Zabuza he hears Naruto screaming for Sasuke to “just fucking listen to me dammit!” Before his so recently injured student so screaming for real.
He sees out of the corner of his eye, like the swordsman had intentionally cleared his mist to give him a front row seat to his own failures, as Sasuke sees the wave of senbon coming right for the both of them for Naruto’s kneeling and half conscious form already so full of needles clearly unable to catch his breath enough to see the danger coming his way and dodges away leaving Naruto to take more.
He’s sure Zabuza is laughing at him as he growls low in his chest. Sure that the gods themselves are laughing at him too.
So he calls in the pack and splits them.
He sees Uhei drag Naruto out of the way of another attack just in time for him to come to. Sees Sasuke pull away from Bisuke with two newly formed sharingan narrowed ably to jump straight into an attack. He sees the choking red hatefilled Chakra cover Naruto as he screams in rage.
He doesn’t see much after that. Focused on ending his fight as fast as possible to get to his students.
It doesn’t make shoving his Chidori through a child’s chest feel any better. It doesn’t make Naruto’s second shriek hurt any less.
The fight is over by the time he lays Haku’s broken body on the ground. Before Zabuza makes his last stand against his former employer. Before Naruto is able to release the Kyuubi’s chakra surrounding him. Before his ninken can report on the state of the kids. It is over.
Kakashi manages to get an arm around Naruto’s waist before he hits the ground as that chakra fades with his shock. Manages to haul him close to his own body as the kid bares his dripping fangs, coated with venom in Naruto’s rage, at the group of men. He can feel how much the kid is shaking. He wonders how he’s still standing.
“Sasuke!” Sakura shrieks, shaking her teammate. Bisuke tries to nudge her away. Tries tot elk he that the pup is hurt but will still live tries to—
“This is your fault!” she screams at him with hate in her eyes. No. Not at him.
At Naruto.
“It should have been you!”
Even with Zabuza fighting at the other end of the bridge. Even with the approaching feet of the rest of the village. Even with the roaring waves below infuriated that the blood of one of their own was spilled. The words were loud enough that Naruto flinched.
Enough.
Kakashi has had enough.
“Shut up!” he snapped, settling Naruto on a clear-ish portion of the bridge and signaled Bull and Pakkun to watch over him. Bull settled at the boy’s side while Pakkun wormed his way into Naruto’s lap, sliding under shock numbed hands and pressing close to his already healed chest to provide some comfort.
He turns on the other two, grateful for his mask so Sakura can’t see him baring his own fangs in irritation, and hits his knees for a quick check over his student that tells him everything he already knew.
“Sasuke is fine.” He growls, and sure enough a moment later the Uchiha gasps and coughs, curling around himself a little as he blinks up at the two of them with dark eyes once again.
Kakshi wants to shake him. To shake them both.
He doesn’t.
Kakashi takes a deep breath. Takes another when Uhei leans against his side.
“It will be my recommendation when we return that you both go back to the academy,” He says at last, eyes narrowed on the two of them. (He’ll never forget their faces. Wouldn’t even if he had taken the time to cover his sharingan) “With what the mission reports will show… I’m not sure if they will take that suggestion or if they will refute you both in the spot.”
Two stunned faces looked back at him. He didn’t let his glare waver. Didn’t let them squirm away from his disappointment as he wrapped Sasuke’s injuries with careful hands before standing again.
The fight was over.
The curse of Team Seven had struck yet again.

as for the inprnt thing, i never begged anyone to buy my stuff. i literally started selling my prints because people have been asking it for years, and ive stated MULTIPLE TIMES that no one should feel obligated to buy anything from me because its not my main income and its just a side extra thing i do. PEOPLE WANTED PRINTS OF MY ART, THEY ASKED FOR IT FOR LITERAL YEARS, AND IM JUST GIVING THEM WHAT THEY WANT. if youve ever seen me beg people to buy my art please let me know because i sure as fuck dont remember doing it. the only reason why i post my inprnt stuff so often is because the site has sitewide sales often, and if i have a way to let people pay less for my art if they want to im going to give them exactly that.
i know selling stuff with other people's IPs isnt exactly legal, its a big grey area that has no 100% rights or wrongs. but im not actively harming anyone just because i made art of a character and sold it online. the big companies arent losing any money because of me, you can always take the money youre paying for my prints and just buy official merch. i dont care. im going to repeat myself again and tell you that im only selling prints FOR THE PEOPLE WHO WANT IT AND CAN AFFORD IT. IF YOU DONT WANT IT THEN ITS NOT FOR YOU.
if you think selling fanart is so wrong, think back to all the times youve seen a voice actor for a show or a video game commissioning artists to draw the characters they voice. according to your logic, even though theyve spend their own time and effort on a crucial part of the character, theyre still not allowed to commission stuff of that character because they dont own the rights to them. does that mean youre going to report them too? are you gonna go to capcom and tell them "HEY MR. need i go into detail about why he regresses? i feel like you can click on literally any moon knight episode & use whatever he goes through AT ANY POINT during those ~45 minutes as a reason /hj
his regression is mostly fueled by trauma. even when he's regressed just to relax after a taxing day, it's very easy for it to turn negative in the blink of an eye if he's left alone with his thoughts for too long :(
age range is in between 1 - 4 years old, usually sticking right in the middle at 2, BUT if somebody asks, he's gonna say he's 4, no matter what. even if he's Babey, he will find a way to communicate that he's 4, he is! ... the mooncule can see right through him & his lies
speaking of — jake, steven, & layla (aka, three-fourths of "the mooncule") are his cgs, though i guess you can say the former two are his "main" considering they're always with him..? REGARDLESS, the 3 of them share the title & you BEST believe they dote on him like crazy!! he'll make a teensy noise & layla's CRASHING through the door like “what's wrong, sweetheart?!” while steven & jake r in his ears like “what do you need, love?” / “i'll beat ‘em up, kid, don't even worry about it!” ... the noise in question was unintentional
layla is “laywa”. jake is “jay” or “jay-jay”. steven is “steeben”, “stebie”, or “bubby” / “buba”. he's got a lot more for steven but it's just various shortenings of his name 💀
usually, when he actually is 3 / 4, it's either because he's been feeling particularly playful & carefree, OR his environment makes him feel too uncomfortable to allow himself to properly drop. in the case of the former, he moves around so much more; running away from layla in a game of tag, seeking for her during hide-n-seek, causing chaos with a regressed steven & jake ... he's a lot more talkative too! not as much as steven (regressed or not), but tons more than baby marc
in the case of his environment, marc retreats to the backseat until things are all okay again. usually he'll regress fully afterward if he's comfortable enough, but there r some times when he just stays at that 3 - 4 age range!
BABY moo, on the other hand? ohhh he's such a little sleepy koala (*´˘`*)♡ all he wants to do is snuggle with his stuffies & fall asleep to his show playing in the background. he's not a loud regressor to begin with, but in this smallspace he's reduced to small hums, whines, coos, n just other quieter noises in general. the sleepy-cuddles come from the main reason why he most likely dropped that far in the first place: bad triggers :(( being triggered by something is already draining to begin with, so add regression to the mix & woop, an upset baby on board ... but bad feelings such as that don't last forever <3
naptime, his beloved <3 baby moo or toddler marc, doesn't matter; if jake suggests naptime in any way he can pick up on, there's no tantrum, no stubborn “i don’ wanna...”, no hiding to avoid it, none of it. he might even suggest it himself if he gets sleepy in the middle of the day. only requirement is a bedtime story
oh yeah! the mooncule calls him moomoo (or moo, for short)! for a while, layla thought it was because marc took his stuffed cow everywhere he went after he got her, but low and behold, jake came up with it on the fly one day & steven picked it up shortly after; he's taken to calling marc by that nickname in all scenarios except when there's important information he needs to tell him now ... or when he's big, but yknow
(sometimes he slips up & calls him moo when he isnt small - results r a blushy boy fighting off a sudden impending fuzziness 🫣)
because of that, baby moo genuinely thinks that's his name 😭 layla put this to the test one day when she asked him to spell his name & he put moo. as adorable as that may be, it's also really funny
he has 3 stuffies to his name: mocha, the brown-and-white longhorn cow, miffy, the white bunny, & an eeyore plush. mocha was the product of a build-a-bear visit & miffy is a childhood gift from a cousin. eeyore came in a pack of other winnie the pooh stuffies steven had purchased — he has winnie, layla has piglet, & jake has tigger. miffy in particular gets carried around everywhere when he's regressed, so it's a key way to tell if he's dropped / starting to drop
prefers chewing on specifically steven's sweaters than using a paci?? like veeeery specifically the ones he own. they have to be his or else it doesn't feel the same – partially because steven has a knack for finding the most interesting designs & the softest ones, & partially bc steven just oozes comfort to begin with. if the body has one on, chances are marc has just abandoned his paci to chew on the sleeve. if it's not on while he's in sweater-nom mode ,,, well, he's raiding the closet to find one to nibble on
steven has caught him in the act on multiple occasions — probably more times than he can count on his fingers HFUISDHSIF ,,, he doesn't mind that much, but would prefer him just .. wearing or simply cuddling it instead of chewing on it like a teether (・_・ヾ quite unsanitary
sweaters are not the only thing unsafe from marc's nibbly tendencies!! other things include, but are not limited to (from most normal to weirdest): his thumbs, the sleeve of his own shirts, miffy's right ear, mocha's left horn, steven's knitted scarves, jake's cab hat, jake's crayons, steven's sock that matched a specific outfit, & layla's hair. the hair happened ONCE when he was Very Babey & both of them hated it
if anybody asks if he wants to watch "His Show", they mean Sailor Moon. doesn't matter what side of the spectrum his age range is at that moment; that's his show, don't take it away from him, you will feel his wrath (whining until it's turned back on)
he pretends to dislike being carried around, but when layla demonstrated how easy it was for her to prop him on her hip & go without breaking a sweat, it was impossible for her to put him down again. he doesn't ask for uppies much but layla can tell (｡•̀ᴗ-)✧
marc actually pretends to dislike a lot of little things out of shame about his regression, tbh :( lots of reassurance & patience is needed for him bc he's v sensitive about this part of him as a whole (he's v sensitive when he's small in general; grab some tissues bc man, little buddy is kinda perpetually glossy-eyed /hj)
that being said, he's still a lot more honest about his feelings than big him is. while marc hides what's wrong most of the time to deal with it on his own, moo is nudging jake to co-consciousness bc he spilled juice on his shirt & he's rlly sad about it :(
constantly apologizes for the littlest things, bc he automatically thinks he's done something wrong & he's the one causing great misfortune ... when all he did was drop a plate ( ;´ - `;) he'll apologize for things that have nothing to do with him at all – exhibit a: the time steven stubbed his toe on the corner of his desk & moo automatically said “ ’m sorry!” from headspace, even tho he hadn't taken control of any body part in any way
mumbles so so much, ohhh my goodness *´ㅅ`)ﾞ♥︎ oftentimes even the mumbles r muffled behind his sleeves bc his hands r hovering over his mouth. jake calls him mumblebee 🫶
his favorite game is pattycake (that handclapping game), especially when he's on his younger end. steven n layla love incorporating little tummy tickles at the “put it in the pan!” part (steven wiggles his fingers in the mirror hehe) – they do it every time, & it gets marc giggling like crazy without fail
marc's body doesn't always listen to him as a result of stress & PTSD in a general sense, so it definitely doesn't when he's in his smallspace — to combat that, he wears diapers for extra protection. they give him another source of warmth & security too, but he's so shy abt wearing them for the longest time. jake & steven cheered the day marc decided, on his own, that he was gonna need a dip ,,, 🥹🫶
can't pronounce his r's, l's, or v's right, but he catches himself in the midst of saying them wrong & corrects himself. for example: “hi, ’teeb– ’teevie” or “can't do it wi– right! >:[”. layla is an interesting example bc she has 2 l's in her name, but he only consciously corrects the first. the only time he doesn't correct himself at all is when he's super-duper little ... & that's primarily because he doesn't use words (-ω-；)
coffee is gross now, get it out of his face, ew, yucky, no! very stark contrast to big marc, who's canned two cups of black coffee with a straight face on multiple occasions. but no matter how much sugar & creamer & even coffee flavoring he puts in it, moo just Can Not get it down w/o wrinkling his nose n goin “bleugh”
now ... no one would say they think moo has a massive sweet tooth, but it deff grows in size significantly as if trying to compensate for the lack of coffee (/j). layla's walked in on him w his hand halfway in the cookie jar & he tried to pretend it was steven's doing by putting on a british accent (that wasnt rlly all that bad but definitely Not Steven). she "believed" him, but later in the day when steven is fronting they'll exchange a silent yet knowing glance

i have a lot of feelings about merlin and arthur and magic reveals that i've struggled to put into words in the past, but im currently searching for excuses not to sleep so i figure, why not now?
i said something similar to this in a comment on a brilliant ao3 fic today (this is the fic btw), but there's something that just... rubs me SO wrong about so many magic reveal fics (or, more particularly, merlin revealing his magic TO ARTHUR fics), and its the fact that, in a great deal of them, arthur ultimately changes his views on magic BECAUSE OF or FOR merlin. like, yeah, sure, he ends up realizing in time that the "goodness" of magic overall depends only on how you wield it, but it never feels wholly genuine or meaningful to me.
a line i see used a lot in fics, by arthur in reference to merlin, is "if someone as GOOD as merlin can have magic, how can it be evil?". it may seem sweet on the surface, and in some respects maybe it IS, but it also seems to me like it just... devalues the whole lesson of it? or something? idk im tired. like,, if arthur saw a person he wasnt particularly close to doing magic he wouldnt be having the whole "hm maybe magic ISNT inherently bad or corrupt" epiphany (he actually DID think like this in the earlier seasons, which makes me even angrier with how the later seasons lowkey washed all that away and just made him parrot all uther's ideologies all over again). it takes someone who he believes is unfailingly good and kind-hearted using magic for him to start to maybe, sort of, tentatively changing his views on it-- which leaves the door open for that change to reverse were merlin to do something (or were merlin to reveal something he'd previously done) that tarnished his "good" image in arthur's eyes, thereby tarnishing his fragile perception of magic. "goodness" is a subjective, flexible, and unreliable metric of judgement, and as such probably isn't a solid foundation to build one's drastically-altered worldviews on.
im gonna go ahead and pull in a line that's used in canon: "i use my magic for you, arthur, and only for you" so... what? merlin's magic is ONLY good because he uses it in service to arthur? what does that mean, then, for the other magic-users, the ones who don't use their magic for any big purpose or in service to any particularly noble cause? it allows for the person who uses spells to, like, de-tangle their hair and clean their house to be perceived as evil or corrupt for just existing-- same as it always was. in the end, it's just merlin showing arthur that he's the exception to what arthur has been taught his whole life is the rule-- not that the rule itself is flawed in any way. i recognize that in this scene merlin was trying to protect himself and soften the blow of whatever rejection arthur might give, but a lot of fics (or at least a few i've read recently) borrow the line and use it in THEIR magic reveal scenes, and it just... bothers me a lot.
to me, none of this undoes or reveals the evils uther wrought during his reign-- it just paints over that. in order to do that, arthur needs to confront the full weight of his father's lies and all the grave wrongs he's commited, then work through and accept them so he can change things for the better (which is something i think the fic i linked at the start of this post did brilliantly). my preferred "reveal" would happen in a hopefully safer environment for merlin, where arthur might feel a bit hurt and betrayed for being lied to for so long, but ultimately understands that merlin needed to do it to protect himself, and so doesn't fault him for it.
and thus concludes my sleep-deprived ted talk/meta post/incessant opinionated rambling session of the day! with that, i hope to konk out and not see the light of day for at least nine hours.

Would the twitch quartet sub together or do you think separate? I could see them wanting to do it together but like lando and Charles being too needy and possessive for it.
Oooh this is a good question (also I'm very glad we're all in love with the sugar sub quartet). This ended up being so long and so off topic because I just have SO much to say about this so I hope you guys are also into this AU :))
Firstly, I definitely agree that Lando might be too possessive for it. I think out of all of them, Lando is the one who occasionally would have problems with things like that.
It's not because he doesnt love the other three, he absolutely does and he is well aware that the relationship wouldn't be nearly as good as it is now if the other three weren't there. He's had a relationship where he was your only sub and sugar baby and while he liked it, he can't deny that it is SO much better once the other three joined.
So he never actually wants the other three to leave. But still, he was the first one and he just... he doesnt want you to forget that? He doesnt want some authority over the other three, but he does want to feel secure in the fact that he was your first sub and will always be your first sub.
Which is why sometimes he wants scenes alone. He loves scenes with the others. But out of everyone, he's the one that needs scenes alone the most. They dont even have to be long scenes.
I also think Lando probably comes with you to events more than the others? He always liked coming with you to events before the others joined too, liked getting all dolled up and showing off what a good sub he is and joking around with the other subs at the event.
And to be honest... the other three don't want to.
Alex hisses at the thought of having to speak to so many people. He is the house husband and will only entertain others if they come over to the house (which by the way, he does that incredibly well).
Charles is your sensitive sweet subby baby and he would rather claw out his eyes than bat his eyes and smile at rich old men who see him as meat.
And George... George is just too scared and too anxious for that. What if he messes up? He's representing you. So what if he does something wrong? Personally, I like the version of this AU where George is the son of a wealthy businessman and so he's been attending those events all his life and he's always hated them. He loves being your sub precisely because he doesnt have to be that person he had to be when living with his family. So no. No events for George.
All of that is really a long winded way of saying that I think lando's possessiveness settles down when it gets formalised that lando gets his own scenes when he needs them and that he's your 'public' sub in the sense that he goes to events with you. Once he knows those things, he's okay.
(Also you absolutely get selfies of the other three all cuddled up whenever you and lando go to an event)
As for Charles...
We said that Charles joins when his previous sugar daddy basically just dumps him for not being good enough (and maybe a big part of that was because Charles wants to be a subby little one and hates being paraded around which is exactly what his previous sugar daddy wanted), so I think that Charles would require a lot of attention when he first joins?
Just because he needs to accept and understand that he's allowed to be needy here and that you wont expect him to do something that he isnt comfortable with.
It really helps that the other three all loved Charles before he even joined (maybe you were always hearing about their sad friend who had a terribe sugar daddy and how they all wish he would leave and join them).
So Charles does require some extra love when he joins, but the other three want him to get extra care? Because they've watched him be sad for long and they love him so much and they just want him to experience what it feels like to actually be looked after.
Charles is definitely the most needy in terms of touch though? He wants wants to be next to you, to be curled up in your lap, to hide away from the word.
But having said that, he slowly starts to come out of shell and become more and more comfortable with expressing himself? Cause he's actually a very loud, silly little thing? He loves making stupid jokes and laughing and being tickled and can't make it 5 minutes into a movie without asking questions and absolutely adores playing games.
He requires more attention during scenes and also requires the most aftercare by far, but he slowly becomes less and less clingy as he comes out of his shell and begins to thrive just existing with the other three?

Pssst... Try not to take what they say in interviews too seriously. Sometimes things will be intentionally vague or an outright lie to confuse or appease people or throw them off from something. Ennis is infamously known for that although I don't think everyone realizes he does this, but he's also working on the show with them.
They said Marie surviving "wasn't as simple as them needing her alive" and it's kinda funny to see fans take it one way or the other when that can be so many different things in context of The Boys universe and especially what we saw in Gen V.
"Plans to kill Homelander" is Billy every season without success, but even if he did, I think we'll see him getting haunted by Homelander big time after the fact. I still want Hughie to be the one who kills Billy but maybe it's beyond the grave Homelander who's there as Billy is dying instead of Becca. I think that would be fitting and Billy honestly deserves it.
There's definitely an element of groundwork they are following from the comics which has been pretty consistent but what I really suspect will happen is that the control virus will end up used on Homelander by someone to purely weaponize him. I think we'll see him become an attack dog and fully efficient berserker without getting to enjoy any of it and having a different sort of mental break after.
The comics sort of rob you of the gratification Homelander's death could give and I think they want to recreate that effect for the show but who knows.
The scary part for me is all the genocide apologism that is going around but The Boys is sort of meant to unmask people and have us reevaluate the way we think so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Still hurts though.
As far as Cate "going too far", he's technically right. Not because Shetty wasn't a complete scumbag who wouldn't deserve death, but because she'd been completely neutralized with Cate's powers.
Neutralizing someone by killing them and killing someone who has already been neutralized are two very different things. Just jail her and let her suffer and stew in her own anger and actions knowing she lost at that point because death is the easy way for someone like that. She asked for them to just make her forget but Cate should have forced her to remember or even live through the memories of her victims.
Actually, if they wanted to make Billy fail and survive with Homelander permanently haunting him I'd be completely down for that because fuck that genocidal shithead.

Will disagree on Cate v Shetty cuz absolutely nothing she did was wrong in my opinion and yes am being an apologist but i dont feel anything for killing child abusers like absolutely nothing. this bitch was Voguelbaum lite and everybody in the woods deserved it. My only issue its just how jarring the writing and ediring made the whole scene play out but its likely the shortened ep count and time per ep did that.
My ideal ending its Homelander winning and realizing it didnt fix anything and that now he its even more alone than before. I think bad guys winning its the most subversive thing for the stale af genre of superhero media. I want him to win not bcuz i love him but bcuz it would be more devastating for the narrative and shocking to the audience if he did.

Hii ive been lately thinking alot about spamton and how he views any romantic relationships, and dont get me wrong, i do myself like few spamton ships alot, but i think that spamton probably never had an actual experience with any romantic feelings in canon, or will in near future
Back in his addison and big shot days, he probably was too busy calculating, selling, and speaking to his phone friend to actually ever consider liking anyone, like yeah probably few Swatchlings made him go like 😮😮😮😮😮 and he was flirting with ladies (or maybe Even queen) on any types of parties, but in reality i dont think he ever truly thought about anyone in romantic way, yes he did think about being in relationship, but never got Close enough with anyone to actually concider it, because he had other goals to do first
And i dont think current spamton is any better, hes wayyyy too mentally unstable to be in a relationship, the only thing he really cares about at the moment is NEO, and hes way too much detached from reality, he would either have very bad sudden episode and run away from his "loved one" or use them to get to neo. Like i get all the "take spamton home take care of him" fics are made mainly for fluff, but spamton isnt really in his right mind after his downfall, and honestly that would certainly lead to very unhealthy relationship, where one is using another for his own needs and other one is treating him like a child/pet not knowing how to handle him
(But well, theres also post canon possibilities, but we have no idea how story can go and can only form headcanons for that, but if you'd like i would be very happy to write my own interpretation later ^__^)

I don't know what you're trying to ask? If you have a blog of your own you could post this in the tag, don't worry about being shy, I understand. You wanted my opinion on the idea so I will discuss it.
Just a disclaimer, a lot of this is going to be headcanon on what I believe his life was like in the stages prior to canon. You are free to disagree with my headcanon as it's not correct, only my interpretation.
I think as an Addison he was relatively isolated and lonely (despite being with the other Addisons often...you can be in a friend group and still feel left out, I've been there), and often hammed up his own personality and ego to try to get attention and to stand out. He did develop a sort of insecurity complex as a result. He might have shown some interest/attraction to potential customers, but it never went anywhere beyond that, and his fellow Addisons would always catch their attention before he could anyway.
As a Big Shot, he's incredibly busy and overworked and stressed despite his otherwise luxurious new life, but masked it with unhealthy coping mechanisms, which didn't work well for him at all. He could seem outwardly charismatic and talkative to outsiders, but on the inside he would be struggling severely with himself, just a constant downward spiral until he finally snapped. In terms of relationships, he probably sought after people he thought he could trust his secrets with, namely Swatch if the Q&A is anything to go by. Queen's close proximity and party-going nature probably helped a lot with Spamton's forming of relationships even if it was probably confined to the mansion...Spamton to me feels like the type of guy who wanted to impress Queen as much as possible and show how truly good he is at his job, only later developing feelings for her and doubling down on that. Swatch is a special case, but I think his relationship with Swatchlings was more of mild intimidation that he tried to play off as disinterest/seeing the Swatchlings as, well, underlings.
I do not think it's fair to say he is too "mentally unstable" to be in a relationship...That almost feels insulting to him. I think I remember having a similar opinion before rescinding it because I realized it could be ableist. I think he is not completely detached from reality as this was the case with Jevil, rather I believe he is all too aware of the reality he is in and denies it vehemently so it may come off as being detached from reality in that context.
You are right that Spamton’s current character could lead to a tumultous and unhealthy relationship, but it doesn’t have to be that way. I really do not like the implication you made that it would be like trying to take care of a child or pet, but maybe I am misinterpreting your words. Many fanfictions do portray that sort of relationship which I detest and try to avoid at all costs. “Taking care of” Spamton is like taking care of an adult man with a history of severe mental illness. There are no fluffy cats or chubby babies here. That doesn’t mean fluff isn’t allowed, however. I absolutely love fluff with Spamton, and seriously mentally ill people do deserve respect and love like any other person. It’s just very important for me to make the distinction between this and taking care of a child or pet as it comes off as infantilizing and dehumanizing mental illness.
(Addendum that he is also a fictional character in a fantasy series and you can technically do whatever you want, but to many fans he hits close to home as well, and many mentally ill fans who relate to him probably wouldn’t want to be treated like a child or a pet either. When you are saying he is too mentally unstable to be loved, or that he must be taken care of like a child or pet, it might come off to other people that this is how you feel about mentally ill people, regardless of your intent.)

this is a drabble of zacks experience in the basement of shinra manor im going to give a big fat trigger warning about eye gore!! if that isnt your thing then please dont read this!! other warnings include experimentation (obviously), basically akin to sleep paralysis, slight gore, needles and the like.

you don't know how or when you got here. mind is fuzzy and you feel so warm, so heavy. except, it's so hard to breathe and there's a voice... a recognizable one. ... cloud? cloud! your lips part and you call out his name. well, you think you do anyways. you can't move a single muscle in your body and it's silent but when a face comes into view, you're helpless. then you realize, you're strapped to a chair sitting upright and unable to move.
it's hojo and he's not alone.
he's talking to you but you can't comprehend what he's saying. it's blurry. you're awake but you're not. you're numb and sedated.
you aren't quite aware of how much time passes, how long you've been like this, waiting for something to happen. unfortunately, some things catch your eye. a scalpel and scissors... though they look a little worn but sharp enough to get it done. even needles and knives of a smaller scale. he doesn't know what it does, what those do.
it seems you're conscious. excellent. the brain functions differently when you're aware and what happens when you're asleep. i have a feeling these cells will stick to you quite well, soldier 1st class.
no name to even care about you as a person.
jenova cell infusion, sample j-703 under the jenova project.
the first thing is the scalpel you've briefly seen, reaching towards your chest and... wait, where are your clothes?
the pain is blinding and it burns but you don't screen, the only acknowledgement your body gives is a slight jerk of the eyes but otherwise, you're still. you swear blood forms at the back of your mouth, tasting iron; nothing but a pool of saliva to coat your teeth. the blade penetrates the flesh where your heart should be.
no signs of mako degradation yet. the sample is still young. this is a good sign.
it feels like molten lava and you swear your heart stops beating, stop breathing. except you're still here... awake as you can be, as you are.
it's those thoughts of death: i would rather die, please kill me, it hurts. what did i do wrong? mom... dad... aerith.
with a couple more probs and pokes with needles into your wrist, neck, and stomach. your body gives the occasional jerk, responding to the cells. whether it's good or bad, you don't know. if you see hojo's face, it's one of concern but pushes through. seems like he doesn't have the results he has yet but he's not exactly done. it doesn't take long before the skin around your no longer exposed heart is sewn back up, messily, and no care or concern if it heals well or not. mako is a funny thing, isn't it? it'll spruce you up right back to normal much faster than it ever would on someone who doesn't have the eyes to show.
eyes...
your mako - infused ones who were half - lidded is now forced open, a light shining directly into the pupil. you can't see anything but the light and a vague view of hojo's masked face coming into view. the next thing you see is another needle, this time just a tad bit thicker than the rest. when it presses into your pupil, this time your body gives a response: a twitch of your finger tips. you think they might as well dig their fingers into your eye socket to pull out your eye ball and snap the optic nerve; it would feel the exact same.
good thing, you suppose, is that the needle disappears out of view and it happens once again in your other one. after that, all you see is black and a wetness down your face. whether it's tears or blood, you have no idea.
signs are immediate. enlarged pupils and the fade of blue from the samples natural eye color has turned green. the sclera has turned into a red hue, almost grey.
time becomes non - existent, ever fed the drugs to keep you still and unresponsive but awake and aware. whether it's been one hour or three months, you have no idea. when you think body welcomes much needed sleep, you're forced to be conscious with the same rinse and repeat processes. at some point, you hear your pupil was close to rupturing in your left eye, unable to take anymore jenova cells injections. you assume this aggravates hojo, tossing down tools in frustration and the snapping of gloves is something your ears pick up. you don't care. this is torture. no matter how quick the mako in your body patches you up; it starts all over again.
you think you feel the flesh melting off your bones. you think your eye fell free from its socket several times. you think, you think, you think. but you don't know. the thoughts are no longer yours, your body, your spirit is hojo's and nearly broken. nearly. you are too strong to give up so easily. you resist with everything you have so you can live.
after all the incisions, injections, "electrical therapy", forced loss of identity, you become a failure and it's immediate relief.
except the muscles that are forced to relax, tighten up when you can barely catch the words: sample j-703 has been deemed a failure of the jenova project. we believe the cause of already injected cells from first being accepted into soldier at the age of 15.
next is cloud strife, a shinra infantryman with no inclusion of mako cells. sample j-854 will take place of sample j-703. results are to be determined.
however, you swear see at the corner of your eye, a wind of silver hair...
