Oblivious Encounters (GN Reader)

Synopsis: These lovely arcanists are in love and it's obvious to everyone but them.

Notes: I love oblivious pining, a wonderful trope. I'm still trying to get my footing with characters, but I will write for anyone, including NPCs! She/They pronouns are used for Medicine Pocket

Medicine Pocket:

Parallel play. The act of being alone together. Some people find the best way to spend time with others is to do their own thing.

Next to you, Medicine Pocket scribbles away in their notebook. Ever since the two of you had entered Vertin’s suitcase, her documenting has gotten way more intense. There wasn’t anyone here to dampen the experiments, so Medi was thriving.

You both sit at a table near the window, the setting sun providing just enough light. It had been a few hours since either of you had spoken, finding peace in the silence. Periodically, Med would slide their notebook over for you to read. They didn’t even want any comments on their work. She just wanted to ensure you were ready for the incoming info dump they would give you. What fun is telling someone about your experiments if they’re just going to be lost the whole time?

Amid the comfortable silence, breaking the serene atmosphere, was a shrill voice.

“No! The great Matilda is never wrong, and I will prove I am correct!” The bright-eyed girl was quick with her pace, making it over to the table in just a few strides. With one hand on the table, she leans in close. “How long has this courtship gone on?”

There’s an almost comedic pause.

“What?” Medicine Pocket cocked their head.

Matilda rests her hands on her hips, tilting her head with a sly smirk. “I know a relationship when I see one. But the question is how long it’s been going on.”

It’s Medi’s turn to smirk as they respond before you can answer. “What amazing observational skills. Now tell me, just how did you figure us out?”

“Hmhmhm! Matilda always knows! And it was so obvious.” She laughed.

“Ohhh, was it now?” Medi smiled wide, those sharp teeth on display in a wolfish grin. As you are about to correct Matilda on your relationship, the scientist kicks you under the table, itching to see how this plays out.

“The note sharing, for one. You are so stingy when it comes to sharing. Those longing silences the two of you enjoy. The way you’re always together. There is no hiding it from me!”

You can feel your face grow warmer. Was this romantic? Did people really think that you and Medicine Pocket are together? And was that actually a problem for you?

With a laugh, Medicine Pocket shrugged her shoulders. “Huh, I didn’t think we were that obvious. You figured us out, Matilda. We’ve been courting for a few months now. Obviously, I was the one to start it. They were too flustered even to look my way.”

“Medicine Pocket!” You chastised, face flushing further.

“See, that’s my beloved, always so embarrassed.” Medi reached over the table to take your hand in her gloved ones.

“I knew it! Vertin owes me money!” The energetic girl ran off to find the others and her new source of cash.

Pulling your hand away from the smirking doctor, you let out a groan. “Why would you tell her that? She’s going to tell everyone.”

“I wanted to see what would happen. We are practically dating anyway.” They shrugged, acting way too nonchalant.

Dikke:

Dikke enjoyed gossip. Well, not just gossiping. She enjoyed listening to others talk about anything. Hearing people engage in idle chatter was an oddly calming pastime for her. However, she couldn’t say it was truthful when the talk of the suitcase was about her.

“Wouldn’t you like to buy your love some diamonds? I have quite the assortment. Necklaces, rings, anything that is sure to charm your lady.”

Oh, how that scammer’s voice irked Dikke. She was about to move, wanting to read somewhere quiet, but she heard another voice. One she held dearly.

“Oh, I’m sure the selection of diamonds is… lovely. But I don’t have anyone to give jewelry to.” You answered curiously, unsure of what she was talking about.

Tennant let out a chuckle, brushing her hand against your cheek. “There’s no need to be so coy. I know the judge has stolen your heart.” She knew Dikke was watching. She wanted to rile her up and get a reaction. It would be fun to watch someone so proper get a bit angry.

Dikke rises from her seat, walking over to you and Tennant with quick steps. Her face looks more than displeased.

“Why hello there, judge. To what do we owe the pleasure?” Tennant smirked, knowing she got what she wanted.

Her gaze practically bore through the blond woman’s body. The grip on her sword unconsciously grows tighter. “Thou should watch what drivel leaves thine mouth.”

“My, what harsh words. Calling your own relationship drivel.” Tennant runs a single finger down your arm with a borderline mocking frown. “I would never treat you that way, dear.”

It was quick. You barely saw when it happened. Dikke swiped the hand off you in an almost uncharacteristic act of jealousy. “Perhaps thou should mind thy own affairs.” Before there could even be a response, Dikke speaks once more. “Enough of this. Leave us.”

Figuring there was no point in taunting her further, Tennant leaves. Not without dragging her hand along your back, wanting to give Dikke one last teasing parting gift.

“I’m so sorry about that, Dikke. You know how Tennant can be sometimes.” You apologized with a sheepish smile. While you felt like you were just seeing things, her cheeks seemed slightly pink.

With the pest out of her hair, Dikke’s eyes soften slightly. “Thou shouldn’t let rumors fester. Lest they form into something more sinister.” She bows her head towards you and departs, not to finish her book but to find you a present better than diamonds.

Tooth Fairy:

“There has been an incline of cavities at the Foundation. Perhaps I’ve been handing out too many toffees.” Tooth Fairy sighed as she shuffled through her examination papers. The corners of her lips tugged down in a near-invisible frown.

Walking over to her side of the medical wing, you lean over her shoulder, taking a peek. “I doubt it’s your toffees. The kids probably aren’t brushing as often as they say. I know they lie to me about where they get their scrapes and bruises.”

“Was that a poor attempt at making me feel better?” If it were anyone else, they probably would’ve been hurt by that comment. However, as the Foundation’s current nurse, you spend a lot of your days with the dentist. You’ve learned to discern when she’s playing around from her usual tone.

You let out a puff of a laugh, lightly shoving her shoulder. “Speaking of toffee, you wouldn’t happen to have any on you, would you?” There’s a soft smile on your face as you hold out your hand.

There was a faint sound of squeaking leather as Tooth Fairy reached into her pocket. “You’ll be the one with cavities if I continue to spoil you with candies.” She hands you a sweet despite her words. Her gloved hand lingers on yours for a second too long, dainty fingers caressing your wrist as she presses the toffee into your palm.

“But you never say no.” You smiled while unwrapping the candy. After popping it into your mouth, you start to walk out of the office. “I have to go meet with Madam Z about some paperwork. I’ll see you at lunch.”

The way Tooth Fairy watched you leave was downright pining. Her gaze locked on the doorframe. Her eyes soon lower, seeing a certain silver-haired young lady.

“Excuse me, is the nurse here?”

“Hello, Ms. Vertin. I’m sorry, they just stepped out. Is there anything I can help you with?” Tooth Fairy asked as the small child sat on one of the medical beds.

Young Vertin casts her eyes to the floor, bringing a hand up to her head. “I’ve got a terrible headache. I wanted to ask for one of their remedies.”

Tooth Fairy smiled. It was the third time Vertin came complaining about a headache this week. She knew she just wanted sweets, but she couldn’t help but humor her once again. “Well, I happen to know where they keep their medicine.”

The dentist kneeled at your desk, opening the drawer to grab from your stash of lollipops.

“Are the two of you married?” Vertin asked, her head titling curiously.

Nearly dropping the lollipop, Tooth Fairy’s eyes widen a bit. It was an innocent question, but it still made her falter. “What makes you ask that?” Quickly regaining her composure, she hands Vertin the candy.

“When I read stories, the parents in the books act the way you do. They always spend time together and give each other gifts.” Vertin explained.

Tooth Fairy sits at her desk, watching the girl unwrap her sweet. “I see. No, we are not married. We are simply work acquaintances, nothing more.”

Vertin nods before speaking again. “You two should get married. I could be the flower girl.”

“I… will have to discuss that with them. For now, you should be getting to class.” Tooth Fairy turned back towards her papers, hoping to hide her slightly flushed cheeks.

You first started to visit her because of the toffee, you always saw how your friend Vertin would come back with a whole bunch after visiting and you wanted some too! So you would visit her with fake stomach aches and headaches, always making sure to take a lot of toffee with you!

She could see through your little childish lies about your pain but she let you do it every time since you would talk with her and just hang out with her for a little bit before getting your toffee, it would give her someone to talk to when she was bored!

And that's how you guys eventually became friends and you would visit her almost once a day if you could! She's practically like an overprotective mother with you-

Tooth fairy

Its early October,you know what that means, its Halloween time

The time where the vail between the spiritual world and the living is the thinnest

You and tooth usually celebrate together,she does get more work during hallowing because of all the candy but she spends the most of her time with you

She helps you hang up the decorations and spread the Halloween feels

However you havnt done that yet,not only that but you dont have that much time left you only have a month

Once tooth realizes that somethings wrong she'll immidatly do ask the other guardians if they had seen you or if they had heard something from you,the results all come back the same,you were seemingly no where

She decided to check the globe,that could have a clue right?

That's when she noticed there were many less lights then usual,and that when it started to line up..

People were forgetting about you.

The last time you had spoke before going radio silent you had mentioned that it wasnt even October and people were advertising Christmas things

She had realised that you had probally hid yourself away becuase of this

When she does eventually find you shes understandable very worried for you.

After she gets a thorough explanation she'll waste no time in helping you with preparations

However first off,she has to get you in the Halloween mood,as your current one is rather sour,and we cant have that!

She cheers you up by bringing you around and showing you places that are getting ready for Halloween

She brings you to see a small shop that has cobwebs,spiders,skeletons,ghosts the whole lot,she smiles as she sees a small one form on your lips

She then brings you to stores as parents and kids are choosing out pumpkins,baskets,sweets and costumes

When a smile finally Grace's your lips she hugs you tightly and tugs with her to get more decorations up and around

She understands what it feels like to be forgotten and she dosnt want that to happen to you

Bunnymund/Easter bunny

Hes used to people neglecting his holidays for others

But hes surprised when there seems to be lesser lights on the globe

Things line up really quickly in his head as the cogs start working

He dosnt waste a second,immediately searching for you in fear you've disappeared

Once he finds you he tries to calm you down reassuring you that aslong as hes there he wont let you disappear

He even decorates Easter island with some Halloween decorations

He gives you Halloween styled eggs as a way to cheer you up

He will decorate pumpkins with you aswell

since halloween takes place in fall he might take you to forests where the leaves have turned orange and are starting to fall

he will help you decorate places and even though hes not the biggest sweet tooth,with a big oof bribery im sure he'll try a sweet oor two

he'll constantly be there and comforting you

easter isnt all ways widley celebrated so hes probally had a fear of fading aswell

he wont ever say it but due to the fact that your holidays is overlooked in favour for christmas,he holds a small grudge

he knows its not norths fault but hes just salty

Jack frost

Honestly hes kind of tone deaf

hes very happy go lucky and isnt used or very good at adapting to change

id like to think that he was quite close to you even before becoming a guardian,because halloween is in the colder months of the year

it might take another guardian to point out your abscents or off behaviour

however just because hes abit tone deaf dosnt mean hes not smart

once its been pointed out to him hes going on a man hunt for you

altough he wasnt in an entirely similar situation,he still knows what its like to feel isolated,scared and alone,and as his S/o he dosnt want yuo feeling the same

once locating you the first thing he'll do is make sure your not fading away

if you are then he will moost likely panic

he will eventually calm himself down,realising that panicing wont help it at all

his first priorety is to make sure that your ok

mentally and physically

afterwards he takes you to do things to take it off your mind

some of his favorite things to do are skating and carving pumpkins,if your not good at either he'll help you

he loves decorating everywhere with fun decorations

his favorite halloween decore are those door bells that grab youor finger or smth(i hate those things with a passion,so i can imagine him loving them)

north/santa claus

if anyones going to find out the fastest,itts north

he has to keep a keen eye on the months and probally realise that its your holliday

his first reaction is to celebrate your holiday with you,he feels alot like a father figure to you and as such he feels he needs to celebrate your holiday with you

though the smile on his face dosnt stay long as he finds that many stores,instead of having halloween decoration.have christmas things

thats not right.

at first he thinks it might just be the store,and so he checks others

thats until he becomes aware that its most stores

why are they all decroated with christmas decore,they should be deced out with sceletons and pumpkins

not snowmen and gingerbreadmen

after coming to this realisation he checks the globe before visiting you#

he gets quite anxxious once checking the globe

hes quick to find and omfort you,hes quite furious people are neglecting your holiday for his.christmas is still months away!

after calming you down he will go ALL OUT on halloween decorations,the north pole dosnt even look like what it once was,white robes with dark circles are hanging around the celeing,skeletons have been placed everywhere in different positions,fake spiders and fake spider webs have been thrown enywhere they can.

all the elves and yeti's take a day off,to decorate pumpkins.

he'll probaly also reach out to the other guardians,inviting them all over so you can all celebrate together.<3

sandy/sandman

sandy is very intune with the going oon in the world,aswell as being extremly intuitive

hes probally seen this coming though he didnt think itd be to such an extent where it'd cause you distress

after feeling a particullary cold gust of autaum wind its clear something is wrong

after checking the globe it seems that his hypthesis had become reality

he wasnt very surprised since he had a nagging feeling it'd happen,apart of him thinks that he might have just been denieing that you had the possibility to fade,that he was in denial

either way he had to push his own thoughts away as he had more importtant things to do,such as comforting you and restoring your holiday to its former glory,or at least try to.

after locating you hes quick to alert you of his precents though he may not be the best at calming you down since,he cant really speak.

hes most likely to put you to sleep and give you good dreams whilst brainstorming ideas to help your current dilema

once your awake and calm,he'll try his best to relay his ideas and help you

cutting pumpkins is a must

he will try his best to make candy with you

if you ever need some comfort just say the word and hes hugging you and trying his best to comfort you

he makes sure you have good dreams for days

he promises that he'll try his best to help you

he'll be dammed if he ever didnt go through with that promise to you.

the other guardians will most likely notice both of your distress and end up helpping,either that or sandy asks them directly.

Characters: Vertin, Sonetto, Blonney, Jessica, Tooth Fairy, Horropedia

You are pretty much act like a normal person who goes out to hide your own talent, it would go smoothly well since you found an abandoned music room to sing to your hearts content. But you were NOT prepared about what is going to happen...

Vertin

"You had a good voice, please continue more."

"?!"

Vertin happened to hear you singing while you were practicing. She has to admit that she never heard that kind of genre of music since the Foundation only focuses on normal classical music and such.

Hearing yours was the first for her, and if you do want to have a even more private place to sing Vertin would offer you to go to the suitcase with her just to sing as you please.

Tho Vertin wanted to question why you kept your talent a secret but she can understand the reasoning for that.

Vertin may not shown expressions but she does wanted to hear more songs from your insane voice.

Plus she would need to find some warm drinks to help you with your throat.

Sonetto

"I didn't know that you had a singing voice!"

Sonetto would be the shocked one to hear your voice. She was minding her own business walking around till she heard your voice.

She does have her lessons of music?

Then again she does like to listen to your voice from time to time, it helps her distress and at the same time relax.

She sadly had to accept the fact that you had to hid yourself and your voice to the world knowing what they can do, so she kept it a secret.

Plus she can bring Vertin with her just to listen to your voice and with her ideas she can arrange some ideas to help you like giving you drinks and snacks or ask permission to Madam Z for recordings.

Blonney

"That. Was. PERFECT! Hey! Sing another song please?!"

You didn't expect a visitor that was listening to you, and because of that she is now a fan of your voice. Loves to shower you with compliments and wanted to know some hints or secrets on how you sing so greatly.

Plus with her ideas that she has in her head, she likes to share some of her own silly ideas to you to see if she can get you to sing it.

A little bit pouty that you can't reveal yourself and your talent to the world, but will soon adapt to that.

Plus if you did introduce her to intense singing she won't hesitate to listen and find ideas for her horror movie ideas.

Jessica

"What a relaxing voice I hear."

Out of all she is the most curious one, and you might find her listening to you the second she finds you walking to your usual room.

And plus she finds your voice wonderful.

Tho as for the lyrics, you would internally guess that Jessica would like to question the meaning of the song and lyrics, she is still new to the genre.

Jessica would question why you don't want to reveal yourself to the world but will soon accepts it and understands it.

She would find Blonney to come and listen to you if she finds her.

She is a fan of you after all that songs.

Tooth Fairy

"That was a relaxing tune you have."

You did hear a soft and calm voice from her, but Tooth Fairy reassures you that singing songs and practicing your singing voice is no easy feat to get a good talented voice.

She would like to listen to you practicing your voice when she has a free time to distress. Plus her fairies likes to listen to your voice.

You would think that Tooth Fairy would not like intense genre so you instead sing calming songs for her.

Normally Tooth Fairy would question why you don't show your talent to the world but she respects it.

But she is a doctor from time to time, she won't hesitate to give you some warm drinks and snacks to help you soothe your throat.

And if it's not much, you can have a calming duet with Tooth Fairy on the singing.

Horropedia (Joshua)

"Hey, nice voice! I didn't know that you could sing! Hey! Your voice reminds me of a siren that you can lure your enemies to a trap!"

Well that was a first, you knew that he would get out of the grounded area but he doesn't make it worse, but he didn't expect that he would caught you singing.

Sure there are other songs that he would like to listen. And would like to record it to finds ideas or listen to it.

Despite all Horropedia would be a bit confused as to why you don't reveal your talent to the world but he soon gets it and won't question it further.

Just expect to find him getting ready to either lightly jumpscare you or listens to you. Or you can ask him for his help to criticize your singing to at least help if that were the case, just be fully prepared for a long hour of his ramblings.

Plus you might find ideas thanks to his silly ramblings.

Tho you might find him giving you water every time you finish your songs.... Joshua really is silly... But also kind.

Tooth Fairy—-- Confessing

Content: GN!reader, reader is implied shy, kissing (very light). Overall pretty vanilla.

This is mostly just an excuse to make my first post (I need a writing example TT), so I decided to go with something more relaxed. It's basically just one headcanon in a oneshot fanfic format. Enjoy!

Confessing

Tooth Fairy knows about your interest in her.

It's mutual, and she's not afraid to be honest about it, but she would like you to at least make an attempt at confessing first. She will try to help you along by dropping hints—namely, being a bit more touchy than usual. During general checkups, she'll let her hands rest around your palms and wrists, giving them gentle squeezes or rubbing light circles on them with her thumb. Tooth Fairy doesn't say a word, but only proceeds with the checkup after deciding she's spent enough time there. If it's a dental checkup? She'll take her time brushing back your hair, making sure to tuck any stray strands behind your ears. Usually, you would do these types of things for yourself, yet she begins to insist on it for every appointment. Afterwards, she'll give you a pat on the head and maybe a few words of appraisal for being cooperative during your checkup. It's not too intimate, but there's definitely signs.

If you are still uncertain about confessing, even after all of her hints, she'll just have to be a bit more confrontational about it. You'll receive a call to her office either on break time or after work, so it's unmistakable that this isn't just an appointment. When you arrive, you'll almost immediately notice Tooth Fairy's more casual attire; the same, peaceful look is adorning her face, but her overcoat is hung over the back of her chair and her braces are removed.

She will calmly gesture you to sit down across of her, folding her hands on her lap shortly after. By this time, you either have one more chance to confess or else she'll just have to fish it out of you... And being the bundle of nerves you are, the dentist finally lets a smile curl at the corner of her lips before speaking for you.

“You can be honest. Do you like me?”

Your answer comes out hesitant at first, worst-case scenarios and self doubts causing you to mutter a "...Maybe." rather than a solid answer. She can tell by your dodgy eyes that you're still anxious, so she'll help you out a bit more. She doesn't mind, it's just that she wants to hear the one special word of affirmation from your mouth, and she's just that close to coaxing it out of you.

“Ah, that's a shame. I was quite interested in you myself, but if your feelings aren't as strong as mine, I don't mind wai--”

It only took that one sentence to make you panic. If her feelings were mutual after all, you definitely didn't want to wait any longer. The tension might just kill you... Though she would definitely make a lighthearted tease at that dramatic notion if you said it out loud. You didn't waste another second before spurting out a near-incoherent confession, stringing together whatever words first came to mind. Whatever you said, it was definitely a confession that would come to haunt you for a while out of embarrassment, but Tooth Fairy thought it was cute.

Standing up from her chair, she places a hand on your cheek, the other running through your hair as her face lowered to yours. She made sure to take it slow and steady, studying your features carefully before finally going in for the kiss. You could feel her lips leave just a featherlight peck on yours, yet it was enough to leave you practically immobilized in shock for a few minutes.

A bracelet made of pearly, white incisors was placed under your pillow. Silver wire intricately held each tooth in place to form a grotesque version of jewelry. A mockery of the silver bracelet that had recently gone missing under your nose.

A bit of dried blood on the crown of the two teeth which brought a shiver down your spine. Who on earth would bring you such macabre tokens of affection?

You sighed and analyzed the bracelet. This was the fifth piece of handmade jewelry, if you could call it that, in the last few months.

You placed it with the other trinkets on your dresser. A pair of earrings made of human canines and a necklace made with various premolars and molars. And now you had a matching bracelet for your grotesque jewelry from your secret admirer.

You glanced at your window that had the lock obviously tampered with. Whoever they were, they always managed to break in without your knowledge. Were you still waking up and that was why you were so nonchalant about it? Or was it your fascination with serial killers that made you less inclined to notify the police of your… growing collection.

You rubbed your temple as you felt an impending headache grasp you in its hold. No… you couldn’t reject them. Gods only knew what they’d do if you reject them. Kill you? Pull your teeth out one by one? Torture you? You didn’t want to find out, so you became an unwilling accomplice to this matters individuals scheme. Whatever that may be.

You began to get ready for work at the dentist office but not before you checked your reflection.

Your fingers poked at the corners of your mouth to turn your lips into a smile. Your teeth now on display in this fake display of happiness, the perfect costumer service face.

“Smile…” Because you never know who was watching you.

You sat at your desk with your signature customer service smile and sugar sweet voice. A smile that never quite reached your eyes, but it got the point across to the various customers that came in for their dental appointments.

Another day in your other wise boring life save for the obtuse way you handled your stalker. Perhaps you should buy a gun? You’ve never fired a firearm before so you’d need training…

“Good morning!” You nearly jumped out of your skin when the dentist, Dorian Zimmerman, placed his hands on your shoulders.

“Jesus, Dorian! You scared me.” You clutched your chest as your heart nearly escaped from your chest. An amused smile on his face as he eyed you up and down.

“Maybe you shouldn’t be so lost in thought.” Dorian shrugged while he scanned the list for every patient. “Will there ever be a day I see you on this list?”

You shook your head. “No, I still go to my family dentist.”

Dorian sighed, “a shame. I’d love to look at your pretty teeth.”

Dorian sauntered off, but not before he cast you one last look. “Can you stay over a bit today? I have something for you.”

“Okay.” You agreed, there was nothing weird about the dentist asking you to stay over, right?

Dorian expression lit up like the sun. “Great. I’ll see you then.”

He then ducked around the bend to get back to his customers. You then diligently went back to your front desk duties.

“He has such pretty teeth.” You whispered to yourself before you noticed a man in all black in front of your desk. “Oh hello, do you have an appointment?”

The tanned man clicked his tongue, his gray eyes glanced you up and down. “Yes. My name is Zahn. Zahn Pain.”

Oh, it seemed you had an edge lord on your hands. But perhaps you were making assumptions based on his gothic appearance and prominent eye bags. His choice of jewelry was rather interesting as well… various animal teeth and crystals were parts of his necklaces, rings, and even earrings.

“Ah yes, your appointment is in about fifteen minutes-“ you were shocked when he placed his face closer to the glass, his eyes locked you in place like a predator staring down his prey.

“Do you like the dentist’s teeth?” Zahn muttered, his hands shook a bit while his face remained unreadable and stoic.

“Oh? Doctor Zimmerman has to have nice teeth to show his clients.” You nervously laugh which made Zahn back down. Why was he so strange?

Zahn hummed and shoved his hands in his leather jacket’s pockets. “I think your teeth are prettier since they’re not veneers. Have more personality.”

You thought for a moment. You hadn’t realized Dorian had veneers… which would explain their uncanny valley perfection. Zahn was surprising observant.

The gothic boy took a seat far away from the other patients in the very back of the lobby that had the perfect view of your desk. His gray eyes bore holes in your head while you continued to work.

You just couldn’t shake the feeling of dread that pooled in your stomach…

"Cupcake!" You called for your sister. She was jumping up and down on the bed. It wasn't anything new seeing her this happy. She was telling you a story. She says it happened weeks after you left for collage.

Cupcake ran outside her room and into the kitchen. "Yeah?" You looked at her after drying your hands on your shirt. "Uh, why don't you go to bed, I'll tuck you in and you can tell me all about it, okay?" You walked up to her and crouched down placing your hand on her shoulder.

She smiled widely and nodded. She ran up to her room and you stood up laughing and shacking your head. You walked upstairs and opened Cupcake's room. She was jumping around and waving to the window or whoever was outside.

You walked next to her. "Uh, Cupcake, who are waving at, honey?" She looked at you with a big grin. "Jack Frost!" She said. You puckered your lips and nodded slowly. "Who- you know what? Doesn't matter." You gestured to the bed. "Get on the bed, please."

She turned around and walked to the bed. You came to the other side of the bed not noticing a certain winter spirit watching you through the window. "Cupcake?" You asked as she seemed to look around her bed. "What are you looking for?"

"My unicorn. Have you seen it?" She asked desperately. You looked around and saw it near me in the window seat. You smiled and walked over there. You picked it up and as you stood you noticed frost on the window. "Weird..." You mumble totally obvious to the person hanging upside down your window, observing you.

"Cupcake, I found her..." You turned to look at the he window one last time and then walked towards Cupcake and walked to the other side of the bed. "Yay! Thank you!" She hugged the plush and you smiled. "So, that story?" You sat on the bed facing her.

"Right!" She sat up on the bed. "So it all started outside two days after you left. I was building a snowman and all of a sudden a snowball hit me!" She laughed and so did you.

"When I turned around I saw Jamie and his friends. We started playing with the snow until Jamie fell and rode his sled all over the streets! It was awesome!" She stood up and spread her arms and giggled. You laughed as Jack - who still observed you two - chuckled.

"But he did end up with a missing teeth..." You sighted and placed a hand in her chubby cheek. "I'm glad you got the courage to have fun and play with kids about your age."

"Me too! Then there was this whole thing where the Easter bunny didn't show up. But after Jamie made us believe in the Tooth Fairy, Sandman, The Easter Bunny, Santa Clause, and Jack Frost!"

You looked at her confused. "Jack Frost?" You asked as you pulled her down to lay on her bed. "Yeah! Jack Frost, is the spirit of winter and now guardian of fun!" She got comfy and you smiled at her. "How does he look like?" You asked. "Well, close your eyes." You did what Cupcake said.

"Imagine a guy with white hair-"

"White?" You asked as you opened your eyes. "Yes white now close your eyes!" She giggled and you closed your eyes. "Okay, so, he has pale skin, blue eyes, he wears a blue hoodie with brown pants, and he's usually and all the time, barefoot."

"Hmm, he's cute." You said with your eyes still closed. "You have even seen him!" She giggled. Jack chuckled as he got right side up and observed you. You opened your eyes and laughed. "Well, I'm imagining him!" You tickled her and she laughed telling you to stop and you did.

"Okay, no more games. You have school tomorrow." You said and Cupcake's smile dropped. "I don't wanna go to school..." She sounded sad which got yours and Jack's attention. "Why?" You asked as you tucked her in. "The kids at school think I'm weird."

"Aw, Cupcake, I'm sorry. What do they say to you?" You placed your hand in her cheek. "They say all types of mean things." She hugs her unicorn closer. "You don't have to tell me now just know you are beautiful," You said already getting an idea of why they are being mean to her.

"Smart, kind, and very sweet. Don't let anybody tell you otherwise." You say as you grab her hands. "You are gorgeous, inside and out. Okay?"

"Okay." She smiled and you smiled as well. You kissed her forehead and stood up. Jack looks at you with a soft smile. You walked to the door and opened it. "Okay, goodnight." You say as you look at her tired figure. "Goodnight." You frowned and then you got an idea. "I'll bake you some cookies tomorrow, yeah?" You say as you reach for the lights.

"Yeah!" She yelled making you giggled. You look out the window seeing the frost still there, both Frost. You smirked and turned the lights off. You close the door behind you. Jack moves to the next window and looks at you. "Jack Frost, eh?" You say to yourself.

Tooth Fairy is very deceiving with how she approaches courting you, she’s able to keep her sparks of jealousy to herself for the most part, preferring to go about charming you as any average person would. It’s difficult to look past her gentle demeanor, she’s skilled at keeping her true intentions hidden from you.

She has a tendency to stalk you, whether the two of you are in a relationship won’t sway her to stop either, she prefers to keep a watchful eye on you. Chances are you won’t ever know of her trips to your bedroom late at night to observe you, her lips only daring to occasional graze, not daring to wake you. ♡How likely are they to kidnap their darling? How quickly will they do so?

She’ll try her best to hold out on taking, but if all her attempts to sway your heart fail, or she decides allowing you roam free is too much of a risk to your safety she’ll just take you. ♡How difficult is it to escape from them? How do they keep you restrained? How do they deal with attempted escape?

Escaping her is difficult, but it’s far from impossible. She tries her best to keep you under her watch, but she’s a busy woman. While she’s away with her work she makes sure to keep you bound in place, your ankle firmly chained to the bed with little slack. Tooth Fairy makes sure you receive ample punishment for any escape attempts, dishing out both physical and mental discipline for any escape attempts. ♡How easy are they to trick, deceive, or manipulate?

Tooth Fairy is smart, chances are she won’t fall for any attempts to deceive her, she easily sees through your lies. ♡How lenient are they? What privileges can you have, and what will you be denied?

Tooth Fairy wants a normal domestic life with you, but since she can’t have that she’ll settle for as close as she can get. She’s happy to provide you with any requested items, as long as they aren’t a harm to you, as long as you keep up your good behavior. She is content to provide freedom to an extent, of course you aren’t allowed out of your restraints when she isn’t there to watch you, but otherwise you’ll be allowed to roam free in your shared home. Supervised walks outside are about as far as she’d allow for outdoor activity, most of the time your confined to the space you both share. ♡What kind of rules do they have? What kind of punishment would they use?

Tooth Fairy doesn’t expect much from you, as you aren’t with her of your own will, but she does want basic respect from you. She expects you to clean up any messes you make, though she rarely enforced the rule. Any mean words or physical threats towards her will be met with the silent treatment, although it is less of a punishment and more of her pouting.

Escape attempts are one of the only reasons she’d actually punish you, rather than any physical punishments, she just restricts your privileges and increases her security measures. ♡How do they deal with rivals, or perceived rivals? Will they get rid of them? Will they kill them themselves, or find another way?

She normally doesn’t like to bother with rivals, but if they are a threat to you she won’t hold back on removing them from the equation. ♡How easy is it to make them mad? What does their anger look like?

Tooth Fairy is difficult to upset to the point of anger, but if you do manage it’s nothing more than her locking herself away in a room to rant her frustrations on the furniture for a little while. ♡Do they see you as above them, beneath them, or equal to them?

She sees you as an equal to her in some ways, but she can’t help but infantilize you when it comes to your ability to protect yourself. ♡How determined are they for you to love them? How hard will they try to make it happen? Or are they content just having you?

"Jeez Frost, you couldn't choose a place in spring or autumn, could you?"

The sarcastic voice came from a girl in a red and orange outfit and hair resembling ardent flames. Currently with goosebumps on her arms, the Spirit of Summer and Guardian of Bravery made her presence known to her counterpart, as if her bright colors weren't enough.

"Now where's the fun in that? Seeing you trembling is always a pleasure to me."

"Hardy har har, I bet it is, you pile of dirty snow."

The audible gasp was followed by the creaking sound of the net giving in to the weight of another person.

"Take that back, you sweaty pile of ash!"

"Woooow, tonight must really be a bad one for you if that's the only insult you've been able to come up with."

"Alright, I admit that wasn't one of my best come-backs, but that doesn’t mean you've won the war."

The look he got in return was one he got accustomed to after many shenanigans and quarrels: an arched brow, mouth slightly quirked upwards and a clear aura of superiority exuding from the eyes. In summary, the words were almost written in bold above her head: "yeah, sure, as if. We both know I'm better."

To this the only answers he ever gave were either a scoff o a victory dance whether he'd actually won the bet.

As of now, he decided with the former and a good old eye roll, just to add drama.

Shaking her head, the female spirit chuckled and posed the question that had sprouted in her mind ever since he asked her to meet.

"So? Why did you call me here? You know very well it takes a lot of focus to keep myself warm and not melt your snow in winter."

The sly smile she knew oh-so-well made its way onto her face and oh boy. This only meant mischief. And consequently punishment from North from disrupting normal life.

The last time he'd given her that damned smirk, the prank they'd concocted almost resulted in a flood, leading to a very exhausting month of being babysat in training by Bunny.

The memory of all the push-ups he had made them do, even if she had regarded it useless since they could fly and mostly used their staffs for fighting, was enough for her to shiver.

"Oh no. Oh no, no, no. Absolutely not. You're not dragging me into this again."

"Oh come on! Don't be such a spoilsport! And admit it, last time you had as much fun as me, if not more, especially since you were the one to push me until the last second."

"True, but I most definitely do not wish to be grounded in the North Pole again, which, might I remind you, was absolute torture for me. I'd rather be on a beach in Australia right now!"

He flailed his hands in the air, picking up his wooden staff with the left foot.

"Oh so you're saying you'd rather be with the Kangaroo than with me? I swear on my honor-"

"Honor that's worth less than any chocolate coin."

"Ouch. I won't comment on that right now but it's noted- anyways, please, trust me, this time it won't be anything dangerous!"

She made a strangled noise, clearly in doubt. Their adventures had been fun, no denying, but was that enough?

Reducing her eyes to slits, she stared right at his face, that was making a transparently fake innocent expression.

"I want a bet then. If you lose and we get caught, I want you to stay a whole week in the hottest place on earth."

"That's cruel! I'd be melting out there!"

"An eye for an eye, snowflake. Or are you too chicken?"

"There's no such thing as a chicken Guardian of Fun. I'm in."

"Great, so-"

"But- if I win, I want a date."

The second he said those words, the trickster expected the usual irony out of her. Instead, his eyes widened when she let out a surprised noise, and, even if the blush wasn't visible on her tanned skin, her pressed lips and head turned to the side told him enough about her embarrassment.

Her confidence faltering was as rare as the rain on a sunny day, and Jack couldn't help but genuinely smile, basking in the action just for him to see.

Hovering just in front of her, he went closer and sneaked a hand in hers.

"And…. So?"

Looking him directly in the ice eyes that she so dearly loved, she squeezed his hand and huffed.

"Fine. Even if you know that you don't have to use bets to take me on dates."

"Eh, doesn't hurt to have guarantees."

The shrug and over-confident smirk earned him a playful smack on the arm and a whispered "dork", but she still took off in the air and picked up her own personal magic item, a classic guitar with edges smoothened by the use and the salty air of the sea she usually sang in front of.

Whenever a moment of idle peace would come upon her, she would zoom to her safe place: a row of rocks diving directly in the sea, perfect to sit and listen to the soothing sound of the waves.

In these special occasions, the presence of her boyfriend was frequent, and it had slowly become an occurrence to stay together to sing or skate in the frozen lake of his favourite woods.

Now she steadily followed him in the wind, wherever his next prank would get him.

"So what's the plan?"

"Ok, we're going to-"

"YOU ABSOLUTE IDIOT! HOW COULD YOU NOT THINK IT WOULD EXPLODE!"

"I didn't know hot and cold could create a reaction like that! It's not like I was ever told!"

"I could've done that if you only told me what you wanted to do BEFORE asking me to throw a flame at the top of the tank!"

His grin as they escaped was absolutely insufferable.

"Well at least we got out of that just fine, right? And I don't think North will ever know about that."

"God, sometimes I am fully convinced you never graduated kindergarten."

"Only sometimes?"

"SHUT UP."
